Brooke Shields closes the curtain on her Broadway apartment after dropping the sale price to $2.95m
Brooke Shields, who recently ended her run as Morticia in The Addams Family on Broadway, is bidding goodbye to New York's most theatrical street in more ways than one.
Shields, 46 , and her producer husband Chris Henchy, 47, have sold their apartment at 458 Broadway, according to city records.
This endeavour was less successful than Brooke's turn as the sepulchral matriarch, however, as the couple originally listed their apartment in August for $3.2 million but had to settle for $2.95 million on the sale.
Elegant: Brooke Shields and Chris Henchy have sold their Broadway home for $2.95 million
According to a listing from Stribling brokers Susan Wires and Jane Gardner, the three-bedroom, two-bath apartment in Soho features eleven foot ceilings, ideal for Brooke's 6ft frame.
And after a night on the stage, the star was well placed to relax with a vino as her home features a 1,500 bottle walk-in wine storage 'cellar' adjacent to the living room.
The master bedroom features a walk-in closet and a roll top tub in the master bath.
Blank canvas: This room is the most vivid in the understated apartment, and still leaves room to leave a mark for the new owners
Simple: The actress and her family have moved on to a townhouse, leaving this beautiful property vacant
Two additional bedrooms, one listed as a Bedroom/Library, flank the heavily windowed living room.
The open chef’s kitchen features custom wood cabinets, a professional 6-burner Viking stove, Subzero fridge and butcher-block island outfitted with two Subzero fridge drawers.
The unit also comes with private basement storage, a keyed elevator and separate freight elevator.
Chef's kitchen: You could cook up a storm in Brooke's state-of-the-art hub
Theatrical tradition: There's nothing luvvie-like about this residence, though vintage posters nod to the street's theatrical heritage
'Steps from the city’s best shopping and restaurants along with being very convenient to transportation,' the brokers wax lyrical in their listing. 'This residence truly distinguishes itself!'
The couple have moved on to a newly-renovated Greek-revival townhouse on West 10th Street with their daughters Rowan, eight , and five-year-old Grier.
The Soho home was purchased by Randi and Jeffrey Kapelman, who is the CEO of Hildun, a fashion finance firm.
Tall ceilings: The lofty heights in this apartment would have suited Brooke's stature
Sumptuous soaks: The bathroom has a vintage feel to it, with its claw-footed bath
