Azzaro Pour Elle by Azzaro is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Azzaro Pour Elle was launched in 2015. Azzaro Pour Elle was created by Fabrice Pellegrin and Nathalie Lorson. Top notes are Cardamom, Champagne, Orange and Tangerine; middle notes are Rose, Lily and Peach; base notes are Cashmere Wood, Olibanum, Sandalwood and Vanilla.

Azzaro launches Azzaro Pour Elle in May 2015, the feminine version of the popular fragrance Azzaro pour Homme from 1978. The fragrance is dedicated to a glamorous and seductive woman who is confident, playful, hedonistic and sensual. Described as charming and daring, this woman knows what she wants. Her scent is solar, refined, sexy and elegant.

The composition is announced as solar and sensual floral - woody - amber. Solar burst is evoked by unusual combination of cardamom with fresh, exhilarating, lemony-spicy notes blended with a rosy, tangy and sparkling accord. Magnetic seduction is depicted with a classic floral heart of rose and lily, which make an elegant, glamorous and distinguished pair. Sensual sillage is provided by the base made of warm, dense and sexy notes of olibanum incense and cashmere wood.

The face of the perfume is Brazilian model Ana Beatriz Barros. The fragrance is available as Eau de Toilette.

Very strange woody - powdery and a little bit herbal fragrance. Very strong and long-lasting. It is like a perfume for New Year's Eve - sparkling vine, warm spicy cardamom, fresh citruses and vanilla cakes. It contains my favourite woods, too.

Tshiamo

This a solid fave. I gifted myself this precious gem on my birthday. Fresh, sweet, feminine, clean and cozy. I have received the most compliments on this one about how i smell like i just bathed. It smells classy to me. I swoon every time is smell the nozzle of the bottle. UGH!!!

Yes Malena

Warm spicy, slightly powdery, herbal, and woody with the florals backgrounding. Nothing stands out. Pleasantly sweet.

Similar to Azzaro Pour Homme, Azzaro Pour Elle has a greasy feel. Pour Elle is not a strong projector, and when I spray another layer, I get that greasy effect that I also remember having with Azzaro Pour Homme.

I blind-bought this, but if I had sampled I probably wouldn't have purchased. Now that I have it, it's true that others around me like it, but I'm not exactly excited.

Edit: I'm liking this on a cool spring day, layered with a rose perfume oil, which brings out the floral notes a bit more.

This is the EDP.

cwavah

very nice smooth boozy fragrance, sniffed it off someone and i could get alot of booze in the opening .. Splendid performance for an EDT

rockerchick

Love this on skin. The soft cashmere wood really stands out, reminds me of something between Flowerbomb Dew and Boucheron Place Vendome- the same soft cashmere woods and sweetness, plus a tiny bit of incense and cardamom spice. Its very "daytime" cozy, not too sweet and not too loud of harsh.

DO NOT spray this into the air to freshen a room. I promise you it is a mistake. None of the notes come through, and it somehow turns into a pickle funk if you dont give it skin to evaporate off of. I have been afraid to wear this now because i made this mistake and fear this is all I will smell if i try to wear it again. Please heed my advice and dont ruin this scent for yourself. Skin and fabric only.

Zaleska

To my nose, it is an oriental fragrance. Due to the mix of olibanum / vanilla / citrusy notes, it kinda reminds me of Shalimar EDP. NO, they're nowhere near equal (Shalimar is much more complex), but Azzaro pour Elle follows the same, let's say, olfactory path.
Well done!
Cozy!

Azzaro Pour Elle has been quite the shapeshifter to me. I received it via a swap, and initially, I was turned off by the opening. The citrus blast combined with cardamom and underlying olibanum created the dreaded impression of pencil shavings that I often find scents with pepper leave on my skin. I stashed it away and forgot about it.

I returned a year later to discover that this is one of those scents that just smell much better on clothing than skin! When I spray my sweater or scarf, I find the sandalwood dancing with the cashmeran, lifting and turning with the champagne so that it doesn't become too heavy or overpowering. I still can't find the peach note, but it doesn't really matter. It is quite beguiling once the harsh opening settles- however, on occasion, I do notice that it does feel pretty synthetic, as others have mentioned. The cashmeran is probably the most dominant note, so steer clear if that's not your thing.

temo

I agree with the “coziness factor” of this fragrance. It’s a good one for curling up. It’s somewhat reminiscent of Si to my nose but with a more woody base. It was lurking behind the others on my shelf until I went in search of something spicy for a late November, cold morning comfort scent. Fills the bill perfectly.
. . .and what a gorgeous heavy bottle!

Seaworthy

As others have described this is an extremely cozy scent, perfect for relaxing at home or on a cool weather vacation retreat. The cashmere stands out followed by the peach and champagne, I don't smell a lot of rose but vanilla is very present to my nose. This is a beautiful everyday fragrance perfect for any occasion. Longevity is average, sillage is soft.

Update 9/2020

I have been wearing this scent lately and although the top of this fragrance can be a bit sour and almost off putting the dry down is fabulous! This is a warm cozy fragrance for a mature woman in my opinion. Very classy, reminds me of a cashmere sweater. The nutty pistachio note remains throughout and the dry down has a balsamic quality. Very tenacious on clothing! I can smell it for days on my clothing! This is a highly underrated fragrance in my view.

BellaStella

There is one thing that this perfume makes me think of.
10 years ago I received Cristobal by Balenciaga and my 20 years old nose didn’t appreciate that much and gave it to my grandmother. This reminds me of Cristobal. It must have some similar notes.🤷♀️
Otherwise The notes in the too description describe it very well. It’s a mature scent. Not bad.

NoelleNice

I was looking for a cozy, wool cardigan smell, and I found it in this, and it has become a quick love! Thanks to those who recommended it. For me, it opens with a bit of sweetness and a slightly plastic (pleasant though) sparkle. A mellow orange note when first sprayed (not sharp or acidic) with a bit of spice. The opening is pretty enough on its own, but it’s the lovely dry down that is just beautiful for me. It starts to head into a slightly powdery almost musky territory that’s not unlike the vibe of a Narciso fragrance. The soft, unobtrusive rose is far more prominent to me than other reviews or note pyramid suggest. When it dries down the longevity is great and the cashmere and vanilla become a beautiful duo. It creates a relaxing scent that evokes feelings of snuggling up on a rainy day with a warm blanket by a fire. The gentle, ever-present woodiness keeps this more dry, rather than sweet, juicy and generic. Overall, a really lovely perfume that goes on a bit of a journey and ends somewhere really warm and inviting. It’s going on my wish list.

stacia79

This starts out very strong and sharp spicy, almost masculine feeling. It smells hot, if that makes sense. As it dries down it changes a lot. The strong cardamom fades out and a powdery, musky, almost smoky effect takes over. Like a woman's lotioned and powdered skin, but at the end of the day when she has sweat a bit. I mean that in a good way. It has a familiar motherly quality to it. I can see this being someone's signature scent, it would work in all seasons for almost any occasion.

RossanaJ

Very sharp and strong when you first spray it but sort of dies down to a more subtle sweet peppery and powdery floral. It is smoky and spicy but the citrus overpowers this fragrance. There is very little woodiness to me. I think i prefer this in cooler weather because of its flowery sweetness. I prefer gourmand sweet! There are days that i enjoy it and days that i cannot stand it!But overall, not really my kind of fragrance. When i tried the tester, it somehow smelled different, less pungent!

Nuitdenoel

Really nice. A little spiced, a little comforting, a tad sweet but not too sweet. Not really much else to add. Got it for $20 USD. Lasts several hours.

carol.simplesmente

This is such a nice, comforting smell, and has this familiar quality that I can't quite place--maybe it reminds of something my Dad used to wear? That warm, creamy base of cashmere & sandalwood is just so spot on and makes me feel happy and loved. The champagne and citrus combo reads more like a bitter grapefruit bite to me, and the cardamom comes across as ginger. This lasts quite a long time on me (close to 12 hours), doesn't develop much, just gradually loses that citric undertow. The strong cashmere/olibanum carrier is present throughout. Actually, there are days when I put this on and the citrus gets almost completely lost, my nose goes straight for the base. But I also love that playful bubbliness of champagne wafting from behind the olibanum every now and then. In warm/stuffy places the champagne note almost has a salty quality to it. Salty sandalwood caramel, if you will. So thrilled to discover this scent, completely by accident. I'm surprised it's not more popular but then again, I gag at the majority of drugstore offerings anyways. This will stay with me for a while.

Update: Just realized the same person created this and Perles de Lalique, another nuanced, well-construed scent I love. Quite fitting. Also, the more I wear it, the more I distinguish the peach in the base. Ordinarily I'm not too crazy about this note, but I don't mind it here. Overall, I'm surprised how complex this is. Depending on the day/aura/body activity, it offers you a new delightful twist. I wear it when I don't want to overpower people with my signature Jungle but still want to feel good about myself (on hiking trips, trails, in common rooms, while working out, etc.)

sibaraa

Very very sharp because of the olibanum note. A big dislike.

maureencusack

This is for Azzaro Extrême: Intoxicating, heavy, ultra feminine, sexy. Prettier than Dahlia Divin and longer lasting. More wearable than Youth Dew or Must by Cartier which are too sexy. This is a heavy hitter and plays in the same space as this brand did in the 1980s (remember Azzaro 9?).

aysel yilmaz

St Dupont pure essence benziyor.

When you are testing this perfume, top notes are very special and harsh, but you must wait for it! little by little perfume become perfect! pour elle is a special perfume at all, and it has a really good quality. I think it's a good option for middle-aged women or for young women who are interested in formal perfumes. The strongest notes of this perfume are champagne, mandarin, peach, Olibanum, cashmere wood and sandalwood.

fragrand

Pretty unisex. To me it is very similar to Roberto Cavalli Uomo with its powdery honey.

It's a rare pleasure for me to be able to compare two fragrances from the same family side by side, and "family" is a very apt word to describe Azzaro Pour Elle and Pour Elle Extreme. The former fragrance is as the vibrant, shimmering maiden newly aglow with blossoming womanhood, while the latter scent is sumptuously evolved as a ripened, matured matron in her twilight.

Azzaro Pour Elle sparkles with an enlivening freshness, courtesy of a champagne accord that gracefully tempers the rose and brings luscious cardamom-spiced tangerine to the party. This isn't a zesty citrus, but a deliciously jammy marmalade brightened by a sparkling wine gelee. The cashmere woods are freshly laid, as yet untouched by the patina of time. Pour Elle is virginal and pure, yet brimming with evocative, sensual curiosity.

Conversely, Pour Elle Extreme is as a full bodied vintage wine: a darkly vermilion cabernet with notes of rich, roasted peaches and saffron-dipped rose. This is a seductive, spicy floral oud for a confident dame who craves a potent, heady redolence left in her wake.

Of the two, Pour Elle has my heart, while Extreme has my reverence. She's too grand and all-encompassing for my desire, but on the right skin, Pour Elle Extreme would be purely intoxicating.

MademoiselleMaya

Very nice! Very creamy, woodsy, frankincense scent with interesting spicy and floral notes of cardamon and rose, with a shy peachy-champagne influence :)
It reminds me a bit of Simply Clinique and the connotation is that also it makes me think of yellow and powdery-pink colours :)
Soft, wearable, good for many seasons and occasions.
I recommend to at least test it - it's a nice surprise for me.
I could still smell it after 6-7 hours - great !

emi

Another blind buy made by looking at the list of notes. What a unique fragrance, so different from what is popular now among new launched designers scents. It is really woody and spicy but than again light woody and light spicy. I can detect cardamon and cashmere wood sweetend by peach and with hint of sharpness from olibanum. This is very sophisticated, elegant scent, but I would categorized it as unisex because man could easily pull it off. Very nice, well done scent, long lasting and complimented. Dry down is quite powdery and the bottle is stunning.

Nikkafragrance

I didn't care about the house of Azzaro until today. Until I smelled Pour Elle. It's such a feminine perfume without being too sweet, floral, provocative or in your face. Just well balanced and perfect for everyday use. The bottle is just gorgeous ❤❤❤

kati77

Nice scent but nothing special too.
It is a bit masculine at the beginning. Notes combined together, on my skin does not comes out one prominent note.

Bee-young-ka

Powdery frankincense, light floral and cold like a splash of fragrant water.

My Aunties love this, Older Italian women who like the freshness of Si Lolita and the like.

I try this on my lover sometimes as I think its ok as unisex too.

Very Surprising bottle! so beautiful.

great scent, can be everyday or special depending on the person.

glitteralex

Azzaro Pour Elle has soft, lilting, warm sweetness which is not at all cloying. After a fleeting tangerine opening, the creaminess of the Cashmeran takes over, and coats the other notes. The floral heart is simply an anchor; I do not detect any individual flower notes. The wood is some type of sandalwood/cedar synthetic that is equally matched by the cardamom.

This one surprised me in a few ways. First, it is almost linear and blended very well. The composition is harmonious. Second, it is overwhelmingly synthetic. Other than the cardamom, there is nothing natural nor is there an appropriate fixative base. Despite the pleasant, cloudy effect this scent imparts, I could never wear something that feels so akin to polyester.

Cassiano

Azzaro Pour Elle was announced in February 2015 but only started to be sold in May of that year. It reached the market to open a new pillar of feminine fragrances, making pair with the classic Azzaro Pour Homme (1978).

Its bottle is multifaceted and was inspired by the mirrors of the showroom in the Parisian boutique. It plays with the light and brings a bright band as adornment, which gives an extra charm. In addition, it is refillable, following the trend of some houses in the industry. So be aware, since the spray is threaded.

In the composition, head notes of champagne, green cardamom, and citrus. In the body of the fragrance, lily and absolute of roses. In its base, frankincense, and cashmeran (synthetic note, also known as cashmere wood).

Azzaro Pour Elle brings, at once, an explosion of well-being and an air of innovation. I must confess that when I published on my website the announcement of its release, I was expecting an older and heavy fragrance of floral-powdery style because it is a female version of a classic with almost 40 years old. But I was completely mistaken!

Azzaro Pour Elle is a modern and deliciously versatile perfume that breaks gender barriers and pretends to be feminine when, in fact, it is extremely shareable. Its output is spicy and full of bubbly nuances, thanks to the note of champagne. On my skin, the citric accord gives a slightly sour nuance, which opens the way to the floral heart. At this stage, the lily reigns supreme with its solar facets, slightly spicy and sometimes powdery.

Over time, the fragrance begins to behave creamier and sweet. Regarding the frankincense, what stands out is the smell of the resin, instead of the smoky aroma. Evolution takes us to a base of woody and warm nuances, in a fragrance of good projection and high durability (about ten hours, on my skin).
My only criticism is the name, which could be Pour Femme, instead of Pour Elle (for her), which would make more sense if the masculine classic was called Pour Lui (for him).

Azzaro Pour Elle is an amazing Eau de Parfum that manages to combine elegance and sophistication, without having to go for exotic or dense nuances, common in the opulent floral or in the gourmands of nowadays. It is possible to understand, perfectly, the concept of a seductive and solar fragrance, defended by the company. Feminine? No way.

I always try to see something nice and likable in any fragrance because I hate writing negative reviews.azzaro pour elle has promising notes and there was the possibility of a blindbuy if I saw it for a good deal.good that this never happened
I love cashmere wood as I love lily, rose, vanilla and champagne.all the notes here are right up my alley except cardamom and olibanum
I don't love cardamom, though I can get along with it so I blame olibanum here.it seems I really hate this note
Azzaro pour elle was a hate in first sniff.I dislike it so much that I couldn't wait for it's drydown.all the notes are buried in something sharp, herbal, spicy, minty and very unpleasant to my nose.I really couldn't pickup other notes just almost sweet citruses and something woody
It's not a safe perfume for blindbuy and I think it's definitely unique.I never experienced anything similar
It rarely happens for me to scrub a perfume.this is one of the rare cases

The moment I saw this gorgeous, refillable bottle I knew I wanted it in my collection. Furthermore, the most loveable person I've ever know, used to wear the masculine version years back and it had sentimental value for me too. The list of the notes sounded sophisticated and lovely as well. So I would have even bought this blindly. But I saw it last year in a department store, tested it, loved it instantly, and bought my bottle.

Azzaro Pour Elle manages to be light and wearable and at the same time something different from regular, simple, crowd-pleaser scents in the market. The woody texture here is softened with lily and rose, sweetened with vanilla, spiced with cardamom and brightened with citruses and champagne. Olibanum adds a subtle smokiness with some fresh citrusy nuance to the scent. Nothing mysterious and dark but some depth which is tamed by sparkling effect of champagne. It can be called a sweet scent but the sweetness of vanilla, peach and rose is balanced with some salty effect of cashmere wood and tangy effect of tangerine and orange. The two great noses creating the juice have managed to balance this elegant scent greatly so that nothing is too much.

As for the sillage and longevity it's long-lasting but stays close to the skin. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase and the price could be even higher for this gorgeous refillable bottle IMO.

celia46

I love the opening of this fragrance, reminds me a lemon pie. I smell sweet lemon, butter and meringue.

When dried it loses some of its subtlety, Pour Elle turns sweeter and warmer, without being a dense fragrance.

I believe it could be a great choice to use generously during the spring.

anikomarton

The composition starts with energizing spicy citrus notes and develops into a soft balmy base. The beautiful champagne colour fits well with the universe of this parfum.

dormir6

Beautiful but very faint.
Woody, sligthly peppery, shavings with a hint of fruit/mild citrus.
Sophisticated,in the same leage with Lacoste pour femme, Trussardi Inside,or L'ARTISAN's.
After some workout it stayed on my skin and became sweet, delicious, buttery light.
And.....I have just realised that it resembles to my beloved YSL Elle, just lighter.

milkyway

Its a sweet fruity paper smell to me. Smells a bit like the paper wrap of the kids chewing gum of a certain brand when you take the chewing gum out of it. This juice surprised me I expected it to be a cloying fruity floral at first but it has more than that to offer. I don't detect wood, but the paper note adds just enough to lift it out of the generic scents category. Very friendly and simple and soft smell, woukd definitely wear it.

carpp79

The tester is much better than the bottle you buy at the stores. Tester is more concentrate, richer, longer lasting, fruity, delicious! The bottle I bought 15 minutes after tested azzaro pour elle is a bit watery, it doesn't last with intensity... Really: not so good as the tester. Shame on you Azzaro! P.s.: on the web I found a tester bottle of this! Already ordered!
Edit: more I wear it, more I love it. The incredible about this scent is that it's not that original, it's not that exceptional perfume, but it's so good, so intimate, so cozy, so wearable, so everyday and every occasion scent that it's impossible not to love it. You can wear it all year round. Easy to like and easy to wear. Love it, love it, love it.
Edit #2: comfort-zone scent, in a good way.

Cloverstone

After reading the reviews on this site (my go to trusted place since I have gotten more serious about learning and loving new scents), I sooooo wanted to love or even like this perfume but I just can't do it. :( I bought the 75ml EDT blindly without a tester on hand but it came with a large gift vial which I thought was a bonus. Sadly after only one spritz, it bothered me tremendously and to my surprise based on other reviews but I needed to scrub it off but gave it a good long try first (it has lasting longevity powers, I will give it that if you like/love this perfume).

I do not detect any citrus or rose scents whatsoever unfortunately. It is very thick, very heavy, very amber. I had hopes for a sensual cashmere along with the other notes listed but got a very...old man "liqueur" like scent is how I can best describe it for myself. Could I admire it on someone else? No actually, I wouldn't last long in the same room without getting a migraine. I really did wish to love this one!!

This is now in my "had" list since it would've only been collecting dust so I sold it off as it could be appreciated by someone else.

Hello, can anyone advise where I can buy this beauiful fragrance in australia or direct me a website where I purchase it. I haven't had any success so far. I bought it in Dubia Duty Free. Thank you.

luciana135k

Love love love the smell! I've always been a huge fan of the Azzaro cologne and I was so excited when I saw this one hit shelves. I love it! It lasts me all day and people do notice it. It's powdery but sexy and the same time. Really makes a woman feel sexy.

tneequeenie

I love this fragrance! Soft woods and slightly sweet citrus.I am desperate to find a bottle ,so if you have one, let me know!

Migalex

It smells to me like a copy of Dahlia Noir EDP, but much much less powerful. Pink pepper is not listed amongst the notes, but to me it does smell a lot of it. Might be the cardamom, but cardamom is not usually this sweet, it is much harsher and drier. Might be the mixture with the other notes. I do love Dahlia Noir EDP, so I also find this one extremely pleasant, but although the staying power is not bad, after a short while it does become a skin scent.

nickhi1984

This was released in South Africa not too long ago & usually there's a special 'release price'. I didn't pay much for my 30ml bottle & after a while, decided that I need a 50ml too :)
This reminds me of tobacco, the type you smoke in a pipe, but before it is lit. This also lasts super long! I really love this fragrance, it is soft, non-offencive, sweet and musky

EDIT: I am wearing this today and simply can't stop sniffing myself! This fragrance makes me feel sophisticated, warm and happy. I will absolutely purchase this once I run out! I would also like to test it in the Spring to see how it works with my chemistry then

purplelover

I hope it's not a limited edition. Because i love it at first sniff <3
It can be a perfect signature scent for me..

canadianpetite

After first spray, floral and spicy as well as a hint of sweet citrus. Within five minutes, it stays floral but woody and spicy. On my skin, it is powdery, feminine and soft. Appropriate for the office. I don't believe this would project more than an arm's length and even so, it is not obnoxious. Makes you want to lean in to take another whiff. That's the sexy part. After an hour, it just smells like a more sweetened baby powder. Not a complex scent but lovely anyway and would grab a bottle if the price is right.

One spray on me
Sillage: arm's length
Longevity: an hour or two
Rating: 3/5

SuzanneRonelle

Got test-sprayed with this today. Wow. Two words: understated sexiness. Woody-cardamom with an undertone of "cleanness" - the citrus note? It's not over-sweet, just lovely and classy. Unfortunately it doesn't last very long on my skin and the development of the scent is limited, so it might not appeal to ladies with a love for highly complex scent.

Dieuwke_x

this was a gift and i love it! it's different than my others but what a lovely scent perfect for datenight or something like that! when i first spray it i was not a fan but after 2 min i was like omg what do i smell ??? it's so lovely and hmmmm you need to try this one! it's one of my best!
and the bottle is so nice! verry classy

Vassallos girl

I just got a sample of this today. It's a bit sharp on first impact but dries down quickly to a beautiful soft sexy sweet floral. I think it would be perfect for spring and summer. For me being a sweet gourmand type, this is really a very beautiful pleasant floral sweet scent on me. I will be checking out ebay for this one.

Ninlil

I received a tester of this perfume yesterday. On my skin it smells like incense, I'm not a fan.

crystaliciousss

It's like a sweeter version of Stella
