Twin for Women by Azzaro is a Floral fragrance for women. Twin for Women was launched in 2008. The nose behind this fragrance is Annick Menardo.

After the fragrant pair Azzaro Now introduced in 2007 (Now Men, Now Women), new fragrant twins arrive on the market this year. Twin for Women and Twin for Men are available in black and white bottles of the same shape as their antecedents.

Twin for Women is available in a white flacon and includes notes of rose, peach, almond tree flower, iris and musk.

The bottles were created by Luigi Colani, and both of them are available as 60 ml edt. They can be expected on the market by the end of 2008.

@Soapyscent,
I am also obsessed with perfumes that smell like soap, Dove in particular. Also like you, this one was mentioned on so many message boards specifically about soapy scents. I don’t know if the bottle I purchased went off or if it just wasn’t what I was looking for but I couldn’t get rid of it fast enough. I have a review on this page somewhere but I was relatively new to fragrances. I have a few Dove soap recommendations that I have found through agonizing trial and error lol. You might have already tried some of these but it seems like we have similar tastes so I hope this helps. These would also be pretty safe options for those who tried Twin in the hopes that it was going to be their go-to clean girl perfume but were let down.

Glow by JLO (best performing & budget friendly), Kenneth Cole for her (similar to Glow in performance and price but is a little deeper and less synthetic), Infusion d'Iris Cèdre by Prada (more expensive and least impressive performance on my skin but still smells like Dove body wash post hot shower), and finally, my latest obsession which is Egyptian Musk (very nondescript, affordable, great performance, and soapy clean). The best I have tried are by Perfectly Scentsable and Abdul Kareem but you can get a good Egyptian Musk for cheaper from brands like Kuumba Made and Auric Blends).

A sharp note ruins it for me. The bottle is hard to hold, in addition to looking a whole lot like a s3x toy. I'll give it more time to grow on me; I love the other Annick Menardo scents I own.

I've noticed that it IS possible to have my perception of a fragrance change dramatically. Arden Splendor, Mugler Aura, and Diamonds & Emeralds are some examples of perfumes that, in time, became gorgeous to me after borderline dislike. So I'm not ready to rate Twin just yet!

Also reminds of an epilator

annasarahr121

I blind bought Azzaro Twin because it was compared to two perfumes that I love: Ferragamo Emozione and Courreges Blanc. I love Emozione for its rich, peachy smell and I love Blanc for its strong, lipsticky rosy iris; to me, actually, these two don't smell at all alike and yet they were both compared to Twin -- go figure, our noses sure are different! Unfortunately, Twin has nothing of Courreges Blanc, to me, and just a small similarity to Emozione -- some peachiness. Unfortunately, in Twin, I detect a kind of plastic-y note, or something that just smells yucky and kind of aquatic but not fresh, all throughout the scent. It's reminding me not of the aforementioned fragrances but rather of Iceberg Twice, but I actually low-key love that one; it's a lot fresher and more floral than Twin, but shares the peach note. I will be enjoying Iceberg Twice but ushering Azzaro Twin out of my collection.

My mom thought this was a buz buz friend…I will be selling immediately!

Soapyscent

I was looking for a perfume that smells like dove soap and I don't think this is it. It's soapy, warm and creamy but I detect so much almond which I like. I didn't expect this kind of combination almond and soap, it was kind of weird to me at first. I like it though but had to get used to it. Staying power is great, if you like to smell like soap and lotion you want to get this, for me it was a blind buy since it was at a reasonable price I thought why not.

SailorV

The bottle of Twin looks bizarre, the scent is pretty soft and clean. And still I think they're a good fit.
Twin is essentially a clean white musk scent with a texture somewhere right between creamy and powdery, thanks to the iris. The almond in this is not gourmand, to me it smells more like the "sweet doll skin" note heliotrope often has. Peach and rose are only light accents that make the scent a little livelier, they don't stand out in any way. There is a skin-like warmth to this, but also an artificial sharpness, like hairspray, that makes it feel so clean it borders on sterile. But it never fully goes there, the musk keeps it from doing so.
The overall impression is very much a "I just showered and used a nice lotion" kind of scent. If scents had a color, it would definitely be white, no question.

Fluffy white musks are great to me, and I do like this, but I could do without the sharp hairspray note. I prefer my "your skin but better" scents smoother and warmer. Nice for the price though!

This perfume is amazing, you have to wait a bit for the dry down but it’s worth waiting for!

Tinabill

Clean summer skin scent.
You wake up one summer morning feeling it’s too hot so you brave a cold shower. The first sharp hit of water makes you inhale deeply and you have an icy tingle in your nose. You then lather generously with white Dove soap and moisturize with original Nivea lotion and wear a freshly laundered and ironed white linen shirt.
That morning routine if bottled is Azzaro Twin. The initial spray is sharp and a bit synthetic but doesn’t last long. You are then left with a creamy, clean white musk with very soft florals. I cannot detect almonds or peach, and would have guessed heliotrope with a subdued sambac rather than iris, but the white musk is totally there.
A great clean skin scent perfect for summer days wherever you’re not supposed to have “perfume”!

Yes Malena

Blind-buy failure. On me this is screechy. Dry-down is nutty and buttery, but not in a way I like. Sour and not powdery. I had wanted to try the Nivea EDT, but didn't find it, so I bought this. Twin for Women really does not work for me, alas. There is no aldehydic aspect; rather it is very heavy. (Aldehydes are not listed as notes, btw, but had been mentioned in other reviews--I don't see it, in my experience with this perfume.)
On the box, it says 'Ludic, iridescent, sensual. Blackcurrant sorbet, white peach, almond flower, creamy musks.'
I'm not enjoying this perfume, but I have learned a new word in English, ludic--playful. Who knew? I thought it was just a French word, ludique. Wish I was feeling it. :(

Edit: I have only used this perfume about twice, so perhaps the sprayer is full of gunk. I may revisit this a few more times as so many people seem to like it, or I may give it away, but yeah something is just not working right now.

amberonic

Reading all the great review and looking at the notes, I had wanted to try this for a while and bought a NOS 50ml tester for around $20. Didn't get any almond. Got a shrieky, dense, 2000s-retro, masculine-leaning, shampoo-smelling, super-musky fruity floral.

Jacquis

If there was ever a bright, sprite, white lotion style perfume, this is it. I found it difficult to imagine a creamy perfume with some bubbly sparkle. Azzaro Twin does this beautifully. I imagine that the peach contributes to this brightness but, however they managed it, Twin is a happy, bright and modern perfume. It is able to harness both warm and cold aspects. The brightness subsides in the dry down leaving it mostly warm and creamy but that sparkle lasts long enough for this to still be a bright and uplifting perfume. Currently wearing in 50F but I think this will still be good on summer nights.

forallinose

One of my best blind buys. It doesn't smell powdery, just very delicate, soft, and creamy. I imagine wearing this with something white and freshly laundered...on a spring day. For the price, this was a steal.

hexed

I don't get anything lactonic or creamy in a gourmand sense but it does smell like body cream. Very clean, in the manner of white musks and aldehydes.
It was very different on first spray, at first I only got a very sharp cottony smell and thought it was like a cashmeran solinote type of a thing. I think the sprayer "got unstuck" after that, since all the later wearings I haven't struggled with that. It's a lot brighter and lighter now.
I don't get the dense nuttiness I was hoping for.

Mullingarynka

I have bough this little gem and I'm absolutely happy with my purchase. Twin Azzaro is sooo milky, smooth and gentle. I can smell almond, iris and musk. It is similar to nivea soft cream. Beautiful and gentle. Nothing harsh here. It is not powdery or vanilla. It's milky satin feel. The bottle is actually funny and I like it but I wish the spray could be better. Fantastic to use after shower as its fresh and cozy at the same time. Amazing projection and sillage! After 6h I can still smell it. Love it!

DieT CroaK

Let me just preface this review by saying that I am not sure if possibly I got a bad batch of this perfume, perhaps it’s my body chemistry, or maybe it’s just simply too hot out for this one. Whatever it is, I have never had a nauseating reaction to a perfume like this before! I don’t like giving negative reviews because I can usually find something redeeming even in a fragrance that I don’t particularly care for. This one though... Blech! I don’t have many positive things to say.

This was a blind buy. I typically gravitate towards clean and soapy fragrances. All of the notes listed were a check. I enjoy iris, musk, and peach in other perfumes. Maybe it’s the almond that smells off to me. I don’t know why but I didn’t detect almond at all. I distinctly smelled melon for some reason right off the bat. Not fresh melon though. More like rotted, fermented melon. I really wanted to try out the Nivea perfume but it’s largely unavailable in the U.S. Sorry but I am not going to pay almost a hundred dollars for a one ounce EDT of lotion. Twin seemed like a good dupe (pardon the pun) and it was reasonably priced for a 2.7 OZ bottle.

I didn’t immediately scrub this off because I wanted to see if it would develop better during the dry down. It didn’t. An hour in, I developed a migraine and getting whiffs of this made me want to puke. I am not trying to be a drama queen but it was extremely unpleasant and just plain BAD. It smelled like something that had a base of dirtiness compiled with notes of sweetness meant to overcompensate for it being dirty. The longevity was surprisingly good which did me no favors. Powdery??? No. I guess in a way, it is soapy. Sickly sweet like a bar of soap that starts accumulating body odor over time and needs to be thrown out. This screams ho bath in a bottle if you get my drift. Like foregoing a shower and dousing yourself in cheap body spray. Also, I don’t really get why the bottle looks like an electric shaver either. I can appreciate that it’s unique but the design forces you to lay it horizontally and ultimately causes it to be clunky and awkward. I don’t even want to pass this on to someone else because I am worried they might feel insulted. Twin really should have been dubbed Doppelgänger lol. The evil, diabolical twin of Glow or Narciso Rodriguez for her.

yukitanonton

slightly sweeter and less green but shocking it smells quite similar with Givenchy Insense which I love.... blind buy success...Love it, can be used by man without problem. Beautiful.

Kateri81

Wow! Hidden gem! Nivea lotion and almond cream with fresh juicy peach. Soft silage, but great longevity. Amongst all these boring fruitchulies, this one really stands out. It makes you smell clean, but kind of "rich" clean, if it makes any sense. Love it!

When I was in 3rd grade, moms would volunteer in the classroom during math. Mrs. K., one of the volunteer moms (who happened to be Japanese), had the loveliest accent and always smelled sooo good and as soon as I inhaled her heavenly perfume, I was hooked! She was also very kind and helpful.

For the rest of the year, whenever Mrs. K. volunteered, I always raised my hand (several times), just so she would come to help me. I didn't need any assistance with math - I just loved Mrs. K.'s accent and her fragrance and wanted to smell it again!

One day I mentioned how nice Mrs. K. smelled to my BFF, Rene. Rene replied, "Yes, Mrs. K. always smells like fresh flowers". Turns out, I wasn't the only fan of Mrs. K.'s perfume!

Years later, in high school, I asked Mrs. K.'s daughter, Laura, for the name of her mom's perfume because I wanted to buy it. Laura didn't know what fragrance her mom wore. I was bummed, but determined to one day find that mysterious fragrance! Because Mrs. K. was Japanese, I assumed that she most likely wore a Japanese perfume, so eventually I went to the Shiseido counter to smell all of their fragrances hoping to find that scent. None came close.

I had resigned myself to the reality that I would never find Mrs. K.s scent - until today! I just bought Twin as a blind purchase - and lo, and behold - it smells EXACTLY like Mrs. K.!!! I am sooo excited! Now, I do realize that Mrs. K. could not possibly have worn Azzaro Twin in 1975 (because it wasn't created until 2007), but according to my olfactory system, Twin is identical to Mrs. K.'s perfume!

I love, love, love this fragrance!

MademoiselleMaya

Nivea indeed, from the very first minutes. A classic, white soap too. Interesting if someone is into this kind of scents.
Can be unisex too.
~within 5-10 minutes it starts to intensify and fresh notes are showing - a mix of rose & peach.
It softens and becomes very femine - I like this stage. It shows development and has good performance on a hot spring day.

ibibonica

Not much to say about this other than it does smell like nivea soft cream, like a shampoo or a shower gel foam, no silage and no oomph, just a clean smell that doesn't last and is in no sense perfumey.

rhaineclayton

I can't say I love the smell of Nivea cream, but I still really like this/ borderline love.
It's very much a face cream scent (now, if only someone would make a perfume that smells like Olay's original pink cream!).
I'm usually a heavy hitter kind of girl, but I'm really appreciating this "skin, only better" type of scent.
Oh, and the packaging is cute. The box looks like an electronic device type packaging.

gracefullove

This is a fantastic, unusual and unique perfume - just like the bottle. It's amazing!! Magical. The almond tree flowers are wonderful; the musk is superb, so soft and sweet; the rich and aromatic rose, and the luscious peach, and the gorgeous powdery iris, make this a masterpiece of a dream perfume for me.

I adore it, and the bottle. They're both so special and just terrific!!

deakrek

NO cream, NO softness. Sharp and green, like Cacharel Noa. A big disappointment on my part, I had high hopes for a body lotion scent. NOT safe to buy, you must love sharp soapy scent to enjoy this one.

Soofiya

As mentioned by a reviewer this is barely a perfume, and I looove it just because of this
I've always loved how nivea creams smelt like but unfortunately I couldn't find nivea's perfume,so I tried to find a similar scent..as I grew up I detected that smell in other creams but with slight differances, some were like a rosey version of nivea, some were peachy, some were almondy and I loved them all.so I concluded that this is not particularly nivea scent which I'm so much into it,I love all creamy smells, reminding just out of shower and then moistened skin,a clean your own skin but better fragrance,I knew I should search for a musk, iris maybe some rose and peach combo
In this search,I got to know lots of great perfumes, narciso rodriguez essence,by kilian flower of immortality, valentino rock'n rose dream & etc,but I just shouted with joy that I finally found my cream fragrance, when I tried azzaro twin
Azzaro twin is a simple perfume, ofcourse not linear, opening part may seem plasticy for skin's that can't get along well with almond in perfumes, there is great amount of peach and blackcurrent blended with some almond in the opening, making you think of something sharp or plastic but it soon settles down to a musky, almondy goodness, smelling just like a lovely clean skin, washed with an almondy dove soap, then moistened with a body lotion, those lotions that seem to consist some rosey, peachy undertone,no one will think that you've used a perfume, still you're gonna receive lots of comments on how lovely and clean you always smell and they will ask your body lotion's name not your perfume's and I sometimes really want to smell good, but not perfumed, azzaro twin is great for those times, lingering on your skin(I don't like to use it on clothes,I feel like my clothes are moistened with lotion, haha)for more than 10 hours, with soft to moderate sillage,it's a skinscent but you can get a whiff of it after hours of application and it really feels good
I always thought whenever I find my cream fragrance,I will use it as an after shower perfume, but now,I still use my white musk after shower and tend to use this almond cream, before sleep,in university or even in my romantic intimate times, most men love it,specially men that don't like heavy perfumes and love simplicity and elegance the same time
I think azzaro twin is suitable for mild temperature, not too cold or too hot,it becomes invisible in cold temp and in hot days, initial sharp fruit notes linger more and ruin it's calm, creamy softness..another point to mention is,this is not soapy at all IMHO,creamy?yes, clean?yes, right out of shower?yes, but soapy?nope,it doesn't have that aldehydic, white floral components to make it soapy and I'm thankful that it's not
The last thing, there is nothing masculine here, but it can be used by men IMO,I can't think of gender for clean, moistend skin's smell,so if you love almondy cream and lotion's smell and you are a man, feel comfortable to give it a try
❤❤❤❤

Well said below.

"It kind of reminds me of Nivea soft"

Yep. Nivea crème.

nothing wrong with that. good skin scent, I only wanted the groovy moon-age daydream bottle.

We have few by this brand and they are all super interesting.

Update: I love how the bottle seems to have shock value!

Babieluv

Azzaro Twin opens with a beautiful creamy scent. It kind of reminds me of Nivea Soft. So amazing and clean. I wish this scent would last, but the drydown is very similar to Allure or Benetton - Hot. Not bad though.

PastelMoon

Very polite, simple and modest scent, 'barely a perfume'. Creamy and feminine, mildly sweet. In this sense, it smells more like something aimed at Asian market, rather than French.

I can see why a lot of men seem to like it, it applies only to those who are capable of detecting "Twin" at all, though. Twin recreates the scent of freshly washed and moisturized skin. Just that, but with a hint of plastic.

It wasn't my usual choice (nor my usual style) but it worked perfectly when there was a need of discretion.

The satchet my sample came in states "Ludic, iridescent, sensual. Blackcurrant sorbet, white peach, almond flower, creamy musks."

This is the soapiest of soapy soaps. It is an opaque white scent, much like the packaging it comes in. Very pleasant, I am really enjoying sniffing this one, but I already have a fullsize of the ultimate luxe almond soap that is Elie Saab L'Eau Couture so I won't get a bottle. If you like this, do try that one as well.

Joeri

Sweet relaxing almond. My wife has it. She finds it rather 'OK' but I really love it on her. Kids love it too. Gorgeous when combined with a sweet violet- or iris-deodorant.
Sillage good enough. You'll get noticed. Do not overspray. Safe buy if you're into almonds. I have the black and silver ones (for men) but this one is much, much better.

Mnekb

This was the best perfume i've ever tried and Azzaro decided to discontinued... Thank you, Azzaro!

I miss you Twin! I miss your creamy, elegant and clean smell. You were like touch of an angel and breath of a baby to me and then you left me! Forever... :(

alchemist1976stephanie

This was a blind buy for me. I don't love this one but I don't hate it either. It has a slightly androgynous undertone but not in a generic aquatic way. It is very much like a fine soap as others have mentioned. I am reminded of Perlier Almond Milk hand soap.... I don't particularly like the smell of almond flower as it turns out. That said, it is a very clean smell, creamy yes but not in a sweet way (which I was kinda hoping for). If you like L'Occitane Almond hand cream or the Perlier one, you'll love this. For me, it is going to make itself useful as a bath fragrance.

2746cstreet

Twin opens with a lot of sweet, but prickly black currant. It's not here on the note pyramid, but it's on the box as "black currant sorbet".
Despite the almond, iris and musk Twin is more creamy than powdery. It's very much one of those "your skin but better scents". Twin does not grab you, it wraps you in a soft cloud.
Every note listed on the pyramid is present (except the missing black currant) and works well together. Twin is an excellent casual or work fragrance. It has very light sillage and some people might not think you were wearing a perfume (as they think of perfume) at all.
Twin is very long lasting. I applied this at maybe 3 pm and I can still smell it on my arm at 3 am.
This is one of those fragrances you put on, forget about and hours later you're like "what smells awesome? OMG IT'S ME."

As I wrote earlier, so that summer I arrived in Brazil come back to give my impressions of the TWIN. Have not changed much, but certainly it fits more to the hot climate, and people around me commented that it looked like I was using a moisturizer fragrant. The setting was great on my skin, lasting all day, and the projection is great on the environment. I do not buy it again, and it does not look, at least on my skin, not nearly as much as the Chanel spoke. I advise you try before you buy. A man could use the female version without any problem.

Here in Brazil we are in the coldest time of year. I bought this perfume in the dark and did not think I read it all. The more I remembered those selling antiperspirant deodorant in the supermarket. It has a good fix, smells clean, is not so sweet, and could be fancy .... but it is not, it lacked something that I still could not explain, and I think the best time to use it would be during physical exercise. But I will give him a second chance, when the Brazilian summer arrives, I will test again, then we come back here to update my impressions.

vicka16

At the first spritz it doesn't smell anything. I would even say there is no opening. But the drydown is lovely! It is soft, delicat, slightly powdery and sweet. Just lovely!

UPDATE: Good staying power. After 6 hours, I can still smell it on my wrist.

LaUna

at first hint of citrus fresh, then creamy almond and musk all the way thru.light scent for everyday use. it lasts 2 hours on me:( it smells very much so like 'naomagic'. twin is a more affordable option.

missk

First off, the bottle design is not my cup of tea. Although I do find it slightly humorous. It was the scent that I was most interested in, especially since I am yet to find an almond-based fragrance that I enjoy.

Azzaro Twin for Women sits on the fence for me personally. I enjoyed the creamy drydown immensely, but the opening top notes had me cringing.

The opening is a mixture of fruity and creamy accords, slightly synthetic and resembling the scent of sun-tan lotion. I don't enjoy particularly 'plasticky' scents so I was a little turned off at first. I didn't have much hope in the scent improving through its development, so I ignored it for a few hours and continued on with my day.

I was pleasantly surprised later on to find that Azzaro Twin for Women had a lovely creamy vanilla and almond drydown. At this point I can understand why it has its fans. The base notes are feminine, soft and musky, perfectly inoffensive on the skin.

There's a slight white floral feel to this fragrance which draws me in. It tends to have very flowery and pure characteristics, that I only wish had shown themselves in the opening where my testing looked like it was taking a turn for the worst.

The sillage is so-so, however the longevity is quite impressive. I also found that it clings well to clothes and lasts a relatively long time. All in all, Azzaro Twin for Women is nothing special, but worthwhile, if even just to experience the tasty almond and vanilla drydown.

idiotmonger123

brilliant fragrance..probably the best in my collection. the creamy flavor jus lingers on and on the whole day and leaves u feelin fresh lik a dove thruout !! i m gonna buy it again as soon as i m done wid my first bottle..and yeah the feelin of holding the lovely bottle in hand is equally awzum !! two thumps up from my side !!

Eleiria

I liked Twin's creamy quality a lot. It reminds me of body moisturizers or sun creams. It's nice, soft and definitely feminine.

Catbiscuit

Personally I quite like Azzaro Twin. Sure, it is not groundbreaking nor award-winning but as far as fruity florals goes this is a very affectionate one.

The peaches are soft & delicious. The almond is milky-sweet & powdery but blends well with the florals. It sits on my skin like a sweet cloud. I don't smell any artifice here. It is just good clean fun. I would wear it to work.

The bottle is really awesome too. I think it looks kind of naughty, almost like it could be battery operated. It is what made me try it in the first place :)

Perfumaniac

Fruity, woody, aromatic, playful, radiant
bubble…
Ultra feminine, iridescent,
tender, blooming and innocent

Aysu

This is a combination of flowers, almonds and peach but I must say I could hardly detect flowers. Almonds&peach were more dominant, giving a soft, milky feeling (but I must say that, it is not a juicy peach or delicious almond feeling, it is quite synthetic and plastic) but after they faded away a strong musk was all left behind. It was a nice fragrance until the too musky drydown.

vertigo

to me it smells somewhat milky, like a suntan body lotion :)
think I can smell almonds and peach.
very interesting! modern, urban and distinctive. unique - not to mistake with any other one.

a bit similar to Allure, but more artificial, in a good meaning.

Antoinette

Nothing shocking or revolutionary here; this starts with a polite rose and non-cloying peach and dries down to a clean musk. The bottle is sleek and modern; it reminds me of something you would find in the MoMA gift shop. A salt shaker perhaps? From the bottle one might expect something a bit more edgy, instead you have a light, well-behaved scent aimed at young ladies who may wear Converse to the dinner table, but also know which fork to use.
