It starts with succulent and fresh burst of fruits; peach, apricot, cool pear and black currant. The heart is woody-floral; composed of clear and sharp notes of jasmine gently harmonized with the notes of sandalwood and cedar. The drydown is made of musk and vanilla. The perfume was created by Michel Almairac in 1995.

On my skin the cedar is very predominant, very sweet, woody, loud vanilla and a little powdery, i do not smell any pear or peach, this feels elegant and mature to me, I like it, but i don't see myself reaching for it in a daily basis, it feels like a ''special moment'' fragrance for me.

On fabric it's a little lighter, a little more fruity.
to me it smells much better than on my skin.

OK people. After reading all the reviews, here is a quick tip to know if you're reviewing the old formula or the new one :

OLD SCHOOL ORIGINAL FORMULATION : the best Burberry women is the one in bottles with the low flat ridged caps like on the picture above, that comes in a pale, plain yellow box with a line of tartan/plaid at the bottom of the box only. The original says made in France on the box.

NEW REFORMULATION : the new reformulated version came out in 2020; it's the one with the tall and thin cap and the plaid covered box. That one says made in Germany on the box.

REVIEW OF THE ORIGINAL RIDGED CAP VERSION :
After years of wearing Burberry women, I still love it as much as I did the first day. The peach-vanilla-cedar-oakmoss combination is just beautiful, rich and juicy. The oakmoss is present and grounds the fullness of the perfume. It is stunning! It has a nice sweetness that comes from the fruits and vanilla but nothing caramel or cakey or anything baked goods, just a natural sweetness that doesn't overpower anything but plays nicely with the other notes.

Now because one person's "lightly sweet" is another person's overdose of sugar, I'll use my personnal Sweetness scale from 1 to 10 to put things in perspective, with Ralph Lauren Safari being bone dry and not sweet at all at a 1 and Lancôme La vie est belle being a gag inducing diabetes in a bottle level of sugar at a 10. Burberry women gets a 3.5-4 on my scale.

Longevity of the original is stellar, I get 8-12 hours without issue and the scent lingers on clothes for a long time with 4-7 sprays. I think anyone of any age could wear that one. Burberry women is sexy in a subtle and classy grown up way, like a woman with a messy bun wearing an oversized cream cashmere sweater that drops on one of her shoulders and showcases her clavicle. That woman knows that sexiness is about being comfortable in her own skin.

REVIEW OF THE NEW REFORMULATION : the richness, fullness and the juiciness of the peach is almost gone and the oakmoss is toned down to almost nothing, leaving the cedar note to be very present, making it a bit scratchy down the throat when you smell it. It's now more of a fruity green cedar perfume. People who have never smelled the original could actually like this a lot for what it now is. Lovely and wearable, very office safe fruity-woody perfume. Longevity of the reformulation is abysmal. I was lucky to get 3-4 hours out of this one on my skin.

FINAL THOUGHTS : original ridged cap bottle of Burberry women is stunning and very much worth hunting down on ebay for a reasonnable price (under 100$).

deadxxxmoon

I don’t know if I got a reformulated version. But I hardly smell the fruity or vanilla. It’s very much a fresh, mossy and green scent. Well...maybe a bit of green apple.
Inoffensive, but nothing outstanding or unique. Perfect for the office.

MaceyJoy

I don't know why people are saying it's discontinued - it isn't! It is on Burberry's own website! £96 for 101ml though i cannot see the box pattern to see if they changed that packaging - if they have then the one i bought on Amazon is legit but literally has zero staying power. I sprayed it twice on the back of my hand and within an hour no smell at all!

MaceyJoy

Absolutely gutted they reformulated this and removed the oak moss so it has no staying power at all now! WHY do they have to make such changes?! Burberry still sell it on their website at £96 for 100ml! with the new longer lid but i bought one from Amazon and the box was also different (checkered) so i returned it as there are so many knock off's everywhere.
The original formula was lovely and strong and long lasting. Coty bought Burberry and I've a good mind to send them a stinking letter on behalf of all the ladies who love this original fragrance!

Simsimbird

This is unfortunately reformulated. The new version with the long cylinder cap is a shadow of old rich formula. And it has very little staying power. RIP my lovely fragrance…

Løpasdfkdf

Its pretty and simple. It could be a firma perfum and is very versatil. Its a shame that only has few hours even on your clothes.

It smells like green apple and peaches with a hint of vanille. No. It does not smell like an apple pie. It does not smell gourmand is just kind of sweet.

camilleollo

my go-to fall fragrance! smells like a peach cobbler with vanilla but make it 90s ??

not exactly sure how to describe it but it truly is a beautiful scent!

terigurl

Wore this to work today. Smells like a fresh, clean and soft woody vanilla. This would be a great signature scent, non-offensive and an easy reach.

anna1987

Nice perfume. Smells classy. Could be a signature scent, as it has a distinct fragrance. Too bad it‘s also discontinued.

orihime

This perfume smells very fruity, has fun and bright vibes. It didn't last long on my skin, almost vanished within 2-3 hours. It might be reformulated. Its vanilla notes are very soft and lovely, not a risky buy.

konga5

Nobody is mentioning the distinct Vanilla - Peach Cake smell . Has this been R & R 'd ? (Ruined N' Reformulated) .

Iosifina N.R.

Peach and soft flowers, soft but long lasting, at least on my skin. Very feminine, elegant, classy, wonderful. Would i buy it again? Yes. Many times! I love it! Unique!

Chiquipunky

I don't know about other people. But on my skin you can feel the peach note, peach the fruit... but it disappears in the first 10 minutes and in the dry down you can only feel the sandalwood. For me a unisex fragrance. Does not last on skin. I would buy it again? NO

nisarsarah9

This one smells so soft and feminine. Safe choice I would say. Best to wear it during winters and fall season!!

thaochipnd

An extremely gentle, classic and elegant scent. It's not outstanding, but it's a safe choice when you want your body to smell good every day. Like a lady holding a cup of hot tea in her hand, walking around every ancient corner of London on a cold winter day.

Christy Kreyol

This one is very feminine, soft and delicate. So delicate that I can only use it as a skin scent for bedtime.
It's beautiful but it lacks strength

katarinacza

Blind bought it - was cheap and I was sure it will be nice office smell.
Damn! it's fantastic. It's warm peach, moss and jasmine. It's cozy and sexy. Well blended and universal.
Smells like autumn to me, but I think you can pull this one all year round.
I am glad to have it and given the current trends in perfumery - it's really refreshing, yet it does not smell old or dated.
Love.

Dua86

I received this as a gift 15 years ago and i didnt like it. To date iv smelt it once and it made me scrub it off. Ill continue looking at the bottle😬😬

octobersun

I know quite a few women who wear this fragrance as signature scent for years and I can see why. It has that "something", it's not just a pleasant everyday scent. It's a sofisticated and versatile, interesting enough to make enjoyable company

elleayjay

This reminds me of those magazines in the 90s and 2000s that would have the perfume sample page that you could peel back and sniff. They all smelled the same to me lol. That’s what this remind me of, but in a good way. Very nostalgic for me because I would always rub my wrists on any sample I could find in any magazine. This is very crisp and refreshing with all those fruits in the opening combined with the jasmine. As it dries down, it warms up a bit once the vanilla and woods start to peek through. It’s a very classic, simple fragrance that can be worn year ‘round. Nothing special, but easy to reach for when you’re just running errands or when you don’t know what to wear.

Goldena35

This is all fruity cedar and moss to me. I love it on a crisp fall afternoon. I remember in my 20s my boss wore it and I thought it smelled too mature , but I rediscovered it in my 30s and bought a FS bottle. I love it to this day. Simple, clean and classic. Warm and crisp. To me it smells like autumn. I think that may be my personal associations …but what is scent if not personal.

SweetJhane

This perfume has always been an easy, year round reach for me, especially in fall and winter. Reformulation ruined the longevity, which is heartbreaking since this once stayed around a good 10+ hours. I have lately taken to layering it with Reminiscence Patchouli Blanc, which is quite a stunning combination that I enjoy very much. They have a similar 5 hour longevity on me, but it’s gorgeous while they last.

M4rkéta

Lady with a kick to it. Maybe the kick is all it has though.

indiglo

I like the tartness of the fruit in this -- I think the green apple stands out for me. I'm getting some of the wood also, less so floral or vanilla, but I guess they're in the blend somewhere.
I was concerned when I saw the comparison to Fancy Love -- that one just doesn't work for me (I know lots of people are partial to it, but on me it's kind of flat with a salty undertone). But the Burberry has a lot more lift and so far no salt.
I do understand the idea this is somewhat shampoolike. I'm thinking pleasant and appropriate for any occasion, though more of a day fragrance than something for a night out.
Likeable.

jeanhalfpint

Original Burberry is the absolute best

BrownRoux

Let me start off by saying that I'm a more is more kinda girl. To most people, this is not a clean girl scent, but it is to me. It smells like shampoo and clean hair. It's just barely enough to notice and an easy reach after a shower to keep feeling fresh. But that's it. It's shower fresh and nothing else. It's cute and clean and feminine. Nothing memorable in the least.

Gourmandwoman41

This was my first love, my first fragrance, back in 97. I don't get why some say this is mature, I wore this at 15-16, it was my signature scent for nearly 10 years. It was warm, fresh, fruity, and deep, an amazing scent. Very hard to describe, just delicious. It used to last up to 20 h on my skin, and forever on clothes and scarfs. Now, its a skin scent. Not sure if its my skin chemistry.
I went through many bottles, but my last one is not performing so well. I have moved on since 2006, I still miss this, but not sure I would buy it again, since its been reformulated.

kittenpawz

Autumn in a bottle!

Thankfully no one I've ever known wore it and I'm able to form a clear understanding of it without my judgement being clouded by past memories as often is the case with perfumes from the past century. I have an interest in vintage perfumery as well and after smelling many simple and straightforward modern fruity-florals, it takes a bit to adjust to vintagies.

This is like nothing I've smelled before to be honest. I wouldn't necessarily call it mature, but it's heavy for sure. First time I tried wearing it I was a tad disappointed and washed it off after a couple hours but something made me want to go back to it anyway. There's just something tempting about it apart from the retro feeling.
It's very heavy on moss and cedar (or maybe musk, or both), so much so that at times it smells almost medicinal to me. Usually one of my pet peeves, here it's quite bearable. Peach and apricot are there, too, but they're bitter peaches and dried apricots, which is not to say that those notes smell bad - just not the way one would expect perhaps. I smell something akin to dry autumn leaves as well. Subtle vanilla note doesn't get to truly shine, although it barely evolves on my skin at all. I would say it's a woody fragrance with a touch of bitter fruit, yet it remains very feminine despite all that.

My personal feelings change from "I like it" to "it'll do" all the time as I wear it, I'll see how it goes from here on. Nevertheless even as a gourmand lover with a fragrant sweet tooth I can appreciate it. If I were to attach it to an image of a woman it would be a posh woman with a mean streak working in fashion industry.

Crystallight

Headache inducing. I don't understand why I can't like stronger fragrances, but I can't. Gifted so I just keep it in the lavatory as a toilet spray. Overpowering to me in a nauseating, vinyl smell way.

scenturian

Still my fav from Burberry.

neogio

There's a common consensus that this is supposed to be similar to KVD Saint, one of my favorite discontinued perfumes, so I blind bought this yesterday to try. Unfortunately, I have to report the two are not at all similar. If you're looking for a Saint replacement, this is definitely not it.

This perfume reminds me a lot of my grandmother, someone who loves peach scents (my D&G The One was hers) and Burberry. Unfortunately, this is a little too mature for my tastes. I agree that this smells like a sophisticated older woman. Dry sweet peach and apricot with jasmine and some musky woods. This fragrance is extremely powdery to my nose and feels very unchanging with little variation. I feel like this is something I'd like to wear in 20 years, but for now I'm either going to return it or give it to my grandmother.

vixxiimcmlxxxvii

i blind bought this in probably 2011 or 2012 and it turns out i had smelled it 1000x. my mom's best friend wore this . i'm actually mad looking at some of the 'reminds me of's because i didn't think anything could ever copy this, really. not that it's some hard code to crack but that, why would you? a) it's a very 90s smell, b) it's really not 'for everyone,' to me. but taylor fuckin swift? really? ugh that's disappointing. i would try it just to see for myself but i'm not interested in padding her wallet with even a dime

anyway, the scent is gorgeous, it's so sweet and smooth and refined. as the reviewer before me said, yes, you feel like "a mature woman who knows the right thing to do." put together, polished. there's really nothing to dislike about this, except maybe the age. it definitely has the 90s vibe, but not in the same way a lot of other 90s perfumes do. the peach is really refreshing and an uplifting scent all-around, the apricot and apple retrained by the middle and base notes, keeping this away from being overly fruity.

when we talk about fragrances that we wear to work, often we are referring to non-offense, almost underwhelmingly safe scents, but when i think of an office scent, this fragrance is more what i picture. a grown woman who is ready to handle things and has good sense. maybe not your boss-lady, but more so your best, most reliable associate. the lady who begins emails with "per my last email," or the one who everyone kind of looks at as the "office mom." she knows it all and everyone likes her just fine, comes to her for guidance when they need a little help. i would get more specific, but i would just end up describing my career in law...haha. maybe this is the ultimate paralegal perfume!

i wish My Burberry Black didn't ruin every single Burberry fragrance for me; i would wear this more, like i used to, or perhaps if i still worked in a physical office, not remotely. but i'll always have a bottle of it.

alice_w

I like this fragrance. It gives the feeling of a composed and mature woman who always knows the right thing to do.

pamelalasalle110

Soft and feminine. Safe every day perfume or signature scent. Lovely dry woody, musk with fruitiness that's not juicy or sticky sweet. Sweet jasmine doesn't overwhelm but just balances out the composition of the fragrance. Classic perfume that I will always have as part of my fragrance wardrobe.

CJMWages

Dry and sophisticated. Good for the office and lasts all day on my skin. An acquired taste.

""I really don't get British perfume brands, among all those perfumes I've tried and owned, my least favorites are all British. (No offense)""

No offense taken. To the Brits, Burberry has been a bit of a joke since the 90's. Used to be a well revered heritage brand, now something naff we flog to tourists ( see also Penhaligon's, Jo Malone and the Cotswolds).

Also, made in France and Germany.

cats_eye

If you love Burberry but want something that lasts all day and has a similar woodsy/peach/amber theme try Ricina by V Canto. It's pricy but you can oftentimes find a good price online.

ElysseKB

Burberry Women is pure joy. The warm peachy notes and woodsy cedar moss feel perfectly blissful when I spray and wear it. I just wish it had better longevity like it use to have and so I just keep a bottle in my purse at all times.

anitasaastamoinen

This became my signature scent, excellent balance between fruits, wood and vanilla. It is warm, soft and feminine, suitable also for summer. I didn't wear it in the 90s, but I decided to try it this year. I must have a big bottle, my bottle contains now 50 ml of this lovely juice. From fruits I get most apple but also peach.
Best scent from Burberry!

KylieBooFace

New bottle/packaging bought for a steal on FragranceNet. Wow!! First impression (<2 minutes) is a lovely one. This is very similar to Taylor by Taylor Swift (thank you to the astute reviewers and board members). Goodness, this is a great sweet peach with a kiss of florals. Candied in a way similar to Love Spell without being "too much." No weird crayon notes (sorry, Demeter Peach) in sight. We'll see how the drydown goes. Edited to add: I was genuinely having a hard time distinguishing this from Taylor on the drydown, aside from it being peach instead of apricot. I think it's lovely, and enjoy that it is lighter and a possible year-round scent.

I've noticed how Burberry is quite elegant but features a competitive array of juicy, youthful, sweet fruit notes. Examples: Sweet lime and candied almonds in Brit, MFK's Her featuring bubblegum strawberry, Blueberry and BR 540 type notes, strawberry milkshake vibes of Her Elixir, and the fruit-snack opening of Her EDT (green bottle-- sadly the drydown is not for me).

Dannielle

Recently purchased this and it smells amazing out of the bottle , but the performance is horrible! This does smell similar to fancy love, but fancy love has better performance! I prefer the actual scent of this over fancy love though. It's a bit creamier. I'm super bummed cause I really like it but the projection and longevity are very underwhelming!

la.femme.scent

Smells like the 90's, that was my first impression when I sprayed this.

SandyToess

I am selling my 100ml old bottle, pre reformulation, within UK only, £60

Tory07

I love this scent!! 😍 Sandalwood, jasmine cuddly delicacy!! 🤩 I just can't get enough of it... ❣️

Cmlake89

This fragrance was my signature back in highschool. The reformulation has diluted this so much that it's a ghost of its old self. Devastating, truly! The old formula was delicious and long lasting. All the lovely notes were strong and sustained. If you can imagine, this fragrance had a slight warmth and coziness that paired perfectly with the apple and peach. I got a bottle recently and it smelled crisp and watery without any of the depth and warmth. Not much like the version I bought in 2008 that lasted all day.

suzanne_ronald

GOLDEN MAGIC! Like jar peaches in a light syrup, I've loved this scent since it came out, and I agree with MihelaN below that it's still lovely even after reformulation, only the performance is more moderate from what I remember. Signed by perfumer Michel Almairac, this beauty opens with a peachy-apricot burst that dries down into a sheer golden veil of soft woods and vanilla.

Contrast to Fancy Love Jessica Simpson:
My first impression was that I'm smelling Burberry Women, and there are striking similarities, but these are different. Fancy Love has a faint sparkling quality and better performance. As with Burberry Women, overall I get a syrup-y apricot/peach, like jarred apricots & peaches in light syrup.

Contrast to Curious Britney Spears:
These are different but there are some similarities. Signed by perfumer Claude Dir, Curious leans a little aquatic with slight herbal aromatic touches that are faintly reminiscent of Escape Calvin Klein, also signed by Claude Dir. Curious also dries down slightly woodier, but overall there is a similar vibe of fruity vanilla woods.

Contrast to J'Adore Dior:
These are different but have a similar vibe of golden fruity vanilla woods. J'Adore is more recognizably pear, and Burberry Women is peach-apricot.

Overall: Beautiful golden scent profile, and the moderate performance makes it versatile enough to wear any season. Although it's a longtime love for me, some noses may not find it different enough from comparators unless you find a bargain. But if you do, enjoy!

MihelaN

Still lovely, even after reformulation
A creamy vanilla peach
There is nothing bitter about it, just sweetness for many hours

arianna3

After so many years I am still in love with it! ♥ I wear it more in the winter but it's good in the summer too; and every time i wear it, I am told from people that is smells wonderful and it also lasts a lot!

cats_eye

This was a great fragrance until about 2006 then it was reformulated. When it was released in the 90's as Burberry's for women it was rich and long lasting. Herbs, peach, jasmine, moss, woods, vanilla. It's a shadow of what it once was.

Scentsywhatsky

Take out the bitter smell, it would be a strong like.
Update: the notes made me think of fall, but I honestly think I like this one better in warmer weather.

softhe

Honestly, I'm not a fan. I just don't smell it, even when applied liberally. I find it has a very poor projection, it feels like a perfume that's just for me and only me, no one else is going to get a whiff because of how close it sits. Personally, I don't really find it that fruity, to me it just smells musty, dusty and dated. I could probably imagine my grandma wearing this, it doesn't feel fresh at all.
To be honest, if it actually had a good projection it would probably be toxic and would choke you out.
I feel like the notes are totally misleading, with a profile like that I would expect it to actually smell nice. Honestly disappointed and absolutely wouldn't buy from my own pocket.

Hope7

Loved it at first. Now I feel like the fruity tones are gone and the powder and vanilla tones remain. Not quite right for me

sai_98

I blind bought this perfume about a year ago, wore it a couple times to test it but I was disappointed. First, it wasn't fruity like I expected from the notes. Rather, it smelled boozy and bitter right from the opening. It's not a bad scent by any means, but it's not what I imagined after reading reviews raving about how it smells like peaches and cream.

After seeing my bottle gather dust for so long, I decided to give it another try, since my tastes have changed a lot over time. At first sniff I get a very sharp alcoholic blast, and what feels like the different notes in the perfume fighting for dominance. When it settles, everything becomes thankfully a lot more cohesive and enjoyable. Whoever said this gives academia vibes is completely spot on. It has a musty old book note from the musk and the cedar wood, which is more pleasant than it sounds. I still don't get any of the fruity top notes from this, but I get bourbon. (Probably what the other reviewers refer to as caramel)

While I do like BfW, wearing it gave me a massive headache around the 1 hour mark and I had to scrub it off, which is why I bumped it down to "dislike".

I'm still not sure how some of y'all think this is a light, crisp or fresh perfume? To me it's closer to the "cloying and heavy" side. I agree that it smells classy, but to me it smells like a warm boozy, musky, not-too-sweet woody-vanilla, which is enjoyable in it's own right but IMO too mature for me to wear (I'm 24). Not to mention, I don't want to risk a headache every time I wear it. It's also the first time I was anosmic to fruity notes, bummer.

mwisnes

5 Words - Crisp, light, apples, sweet, simple.

I’ve had my hands on this bottle for roughly 4 years now. I got it as birthday gift from my boyfriend. It’s perfect and compatible for everyday use.

Ms.MN

I just tried & excitedly purchased this 1995 Burberry Women (BW) perfume release fragrance now, in Feb.2023, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent. It is well blended - smooth and gorgeous - nothing sour ever, no bitterness or harshness ever, no fake fruity smells, no alcohol blast; it is a sweet perfume but definitely not sickeningly or juvenile-y sweet - it is softly sweet. Never loud or in anyone else's face (nose), so, very suitable for a work situation.

I have no clue what "sweet black currents" smell like in real life, so can't identify that as a stated top note, and also can't identify any of the other stated notes except nicely ripe peaches mixed with something divine (Sandalwood? Sweet Jasmine? Both together?) Then BW moves into a soft peachy & warm vanilla, with a soft creamy peachy vanilla powdery finish. Sometimes I think that I catch a whiff of caramel in the mix after worn for an hour or so - just beautiful. Gorgeous, in fact.
BUT very sadly, on me, Burberry Women has ZERO sillage & ZERO projection - to smell it on myself I have to continuously sniff my wrist, which I have been doing continuously every 5 minutes b/c I love this scent so much. This really disappoints me b/c I like perfumes that have at least some! projection & have at least some! sillage - both NADA for me. :(
On me this is strictly a skin scent, and surprisingly has decent longevity as a skin scent - 8-10 hours, but it needs to have much better projection for me to give it a 10 out of 10.

Seeby

Given that i was a teenager in 2000' I always thought of 90' perfumes as mature, too serious, not my cup of tea. I never bothered to try one. I went to the store to try out something else, didn't find it that day, so I ended up randomly spraying stuff and sniffing. And then, BAM! The most divine smell ever! I couldn't believe it was Burberry. It's so different than today's generic designers. And just the right amount of sweet for me. I tried it one more time in store and bought a 100ml bottle straight away.
This could totally be my signature scent!
Can't believe the years I wasted not knowing about this beauty.
Can't really pick out the notes... It's fruity, sweet and fresh in the same time. I imagine the best time for it would be spring, but I will use it all year round.
Can't say about projection, but longevity is pretty good on me.
The price is a joke comparing to the beauty of this.
10/10 from me

EuniceMine

This is my second Burberry perfume, I also own Touch, both have dissatisfied me due to sillage and longevity, their projection is very low. For an expensive brand as this I expected more, better quality. The scent is nice is fruity, I can definitely smell the peach and I love that, it just bothers me that the only way I get to smell it is by putting my nose close to the area I sprayed , if not I don’t smell it, NADA…

Crisp&Clean

I remember stealing this from my mother; she seldom used it anyway.. this smells creamy and vanilla on my skin. I loved it so much.

Samasama

This and Noa by Cacharel = 90’s naivity / internetlessness / walkmans and tapes / a certain and psychosocially objective kind of purity / a time where there was wonder for the present and faith in the future.

Jackiekeyes99

Just blind bought this at Costco. Knowing I went through a bottle of Jessica Simpson Fancy love and loved it as an everyday scent , I figured I’d give it a try. I think Burberry is not as sparkles champagne as fancy when it opens. I’m hoping this will last longer than Fancy Love as I love the scent. Not sure about the dry down it’s going a bit
Sour on me, maybe the moss? I don’t smell the vanilla, usually you get that a bit more on dry down. Perhaps it’s because it’s blended well? I don't smell musk either which is good because I don’t like strong musk scents. Over all I think I prefer Jessica S Fancy Love instead, as it so pleasant from opening middle and dry down.

Oladin

Very nice smell, suitable for whole year. It lasts long, but in me feeling it's a skin scent and the smell is not really intense. Anyway, I will be using it with a pleasure because I love sweet powdery scents! It's powdery citrucy sweet just like Moschino Funny. Great blindbuy

peachygal

I don’t think I will ever get sick of this perfume. It is a fruity fragrance but it’s not a typical one, it’s quite unusual. I could pick this on anyone at any time it’s a distinct scent. It sweet in a juicy kind of way. Performance is EXCELLENT and you will be able to smell yourself all day

I prefer the old cap (the one in the pic), not sure why they changed it.

One of the best scents on the market.

I really don't get British perfume brands, among all those perfumes I've tried and owned, my least favorites are all British. (No offense). This perfume is said to have a vanilla and sweet note, but when you don't get the warmth in these two scents, it doesn't do the job. That's why I can only wear this in winter. If I wear this in summer, it has a noticeable disconnect with the warm/hot feeling of summer.

AquaJima

This smells like a slightly bitter peach with fresh cream. Is sweet and powdery but is very soft. I personally love this, for all its elements i think this is free spirited and elegant. I can picture Rachel Weisz in The Mummy wearing this. Smells grown and from the past, yet modern and cool. This is a historian, a librarian, a museum curator, an archeologist or somebody repairing a piece of art. The adult version of wanting to go on an adventure, but the only place you are going is the office. Probably best for day and any season which isn’t summer… but all in all one of those perfumes which will be there for you through thick and thin.
Will buy 💘💘💘💘

Ontolome

unexpectedly melancholic vanilla, bordering on somber. a warm, honeyed hollowness.

i ordinarily don't like amber-yellow fragrances, but this hits many of the right buttons: comforting, linear, remote... burberry is 25% mall scent, 35% academia (this is a woody vanilla intensely proximal to lignin, an efflorescence of old paper and senile professors), and 40% miss havisham–– a forlorn maiden in denial. stuffy, british elegance with a hint of gothic fiction.

the "yellow" in this is a sluggish, fossilizing amber with an appetite for crystalizing time itself. a bruise-yellow adjacent to putrefactive purple, rather than sunlight. comforting and surprisingly deep, befitting an old fashion house, indeed.

Marmacita

This wax my signature scent for over two decades, but alas the OG version made in France is next to impossible to find, and when you do, the chances that it’s not turned rancid are slim. I find the new version made in Germany with the slim cap is just meh. Very similar scent, but much more alcohol and way less depth. Performance is crap. It smells just similar enough to make me miss my favourite. If anyone can recommend a great comparable fragrance with the same depth and performance, I’d appreciate it. I’ve been searching for years.

bbgail01

I typically don't love fruity or powdery scents, however, Burberry has created something truly magical. It opens with a very strong fresh peach and dries down into a sweet powdery vanilla that is warm and almost reminiscent of a cheap vanilla...yet it remains classy.
This is very much so a late 90s early 2000s scent in the scent profile... it is mature. It makes a lot of sense to me that this is from Burberry, it gives very put together woman in London.

antonia33

I fell in love with the opening - sharp, maybe even aggressive compared to the soft, vanilla, musky scent it quickly turns into on my skin. I wish it was stronger but still love it - classy and cheeky at the same time, great every day smell for colder months.

EtaHasAGun

This perfume made me fall in love with fragrances altogether. As the years go by I came to the realization that a lot of random perfumes in my collection are made by Almairac. This is a feminine, evergreen, office-friendly, gentle, warm, cozy, classy scent. It doesn't try too hard, nor does it have to. There's a good reason why it's still loved by many almost 30 years later.

SheRays

I must have gotten a reformulation and not the original bottle because I didn't smell any vanilla(and the cap is different) . This was very citrusy, almost similar to JS Fancy Love which is soo pretty and cheaper.

Kairavu

It's a full circle and I came back to this one. This was one of my first few designer fragrances - the others used to be Hypnotic Poison and Poeme. Yes, the 2000s in urban India. I travelled, wandered and meandered - through many others . Happy to discover some , especially Baccarat Rouge, Roses Vanille, Gentle fluidity Gold, Angel's Share ,Sacred Wood ,Kenzo Amour , Lost Cherry..the list goes that way and from Lattafa like Oud Mood and Royal Blends. Treasure every one of them. But for some unknown reason I started getting drawn to pure florals , of late . Pure Poison and Gucci Bloom. And then the craving began for this classic. Rediscovered my past self.Light, breezy, soft , happy !!
You may think what you like :) but I sometimes layer this with Million Cpo from Al Haramain. Floating among Sugared apples Peaches and Jasmines of coolness and comfort. Blissful.

cyln

peaches&apricot with the best combination of other notes... it is a classy, feminine and happy fragrance. i may use other perfumes, and i love some of them, but nothing compares to this one.

Gi5elle.C

I layer this with Commodity Magnolia for a fresh bedtime scent: soft, clean and peachy. Wish it were stronger- I'd wear it every day.

jasbel20

This is my signature scent. I remember when i was in grammar school my mom used to wear this and i thought it smelled bad. Few years later in my early twenties I fell in love with it and it is all a wore for some time. Today in my early 30s I still have it and its a staple. Ill always have this in my collection. Clean, fruity and powdery its the perfect everyday scent and can be worn all year around.

jaejaejae

this smells like fresh, ripe peaches on me! i definitely do not have a refined nose so i can't say for sure what makes this smell so realistic to me but i think it might be the moss that keeps the scent 'green' on me. to me, it's like smelling a box of trader joe's peaches and i love it! i don't really smell any vanilla, which i don't mind. i probably have a reformulated bottle as this doesn't last longer than 5 hours on me. i'm okay with that since i got it for relatively cheap at marshall's. since this isn't too heavy on my skin, i feel like i could wear this year round. it makes me feel pretty and put together.

mika71

Forgot had this and found it in my closet today. Brings back so many memories. At first it smelled harsh, screechy and I thought it had turned rancid. Then after washing my hand, it bloomed into the familiar spiced peach scent I remember. Maybe it had turned or maybe my skin was too dry to hold the scent. Nothing else like it

Mirabele

i just got it after i bought it blindly but i am not sure if i like it. i will update later after more wearings. i thought i have never tested it before, but now i remember i did and i didn't like it and i can see why. i smell lots of bitterness and i am not able to understand where it is coming from. why is it so bitter? it is almost like i smell cypress or wormwood here. similar kind of bitterness i remember from Burberry Body series, they are all so bitter to me, From this one i expected very sweet and fruity scent because of pear and peach, these are usually sweet smelling to me, but i mostly get powder and bitterness and just a very small layer of vanilla. not to say it is bad, it is not, it is kind of interesting, i just expected something else. i will try it more times to see how i fee about it. autumn/winter scent definitely, but so not what i have imagined from the notes and from the reviews. this is newly bought but the bottle is old type like the one here so maybe it is the older one and maybe it is the oakmoss that gives that bitterness to me. the bottle looks very cute really in real life. i just really wanted to love, i thought about it for months and i was so sue i will love it, i just hope it will happen any time soon.

Iwoww562

I feel like this is a unisex fragrance I've worn it before smells unique

langrensha22

This is peach and vanilla. The opening is a very sweet, youthful scent, which reminds me of a young lady in her early 20s. After about 1 hour the scent settles down to a strong, uninteresting vanilla note. It is excessively sweet for me and I almost feel like being surrounded by candy + vanilla cream cakes in a not well ventilated dessert bar... I think this perfume will be more refreshing if the jasmine and fruity notes such as green apple stand out more.

Eva Behari

Very clean every day smell. I like it but i dont love it. On my skin it smell like the smell of an iceberg. Clean fresh air on the top of an iceberg.. Nice smell for a modern woman. As soon as i smelled it i thought that scent is the scent of a city girl.Very very elegant! Not really my taste . I bought it blind buy. A very put together young woman in her thirties can easily pull this off. Very nice clean smell for every day use.Everyone says is an autumn scent but i say is a spring type of perfume. If i could say a perfume for autumn season definately i would go for Halston classic not for burberry. Office friendly but according to me not smth special. Anyway im glad to have it in my collection.

vookiely

smells like my bitch aunt

kittywhiskers

This perfume is like taking a big bite out of a fat, juicy peach. I also get some kind of spice in the middle notes, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe a mixture of the moss and sandalwood. I do definitely get moss from this, which balances super well with the fruits.

I blind bought this on a whim and I'm so glad I did, especially after my disappointment in London. Gives me the desire to try other Burberry scents. This is perfect for day time.

Edit: ok wow so after wearing it for a whole day, I find this is a perfect everyday scent, not overpowering at all, it kind of fizzles out into a soft, powdery scent, musky and mossy. Unfortunately it doesn't last very long, like 2-3 hours until it becomes a very light skin scent. To me this fragrance would fit any woman 30+ perfectly. But I would also consider it to be a unisex fragrance, there isn't anything too feminine about it, it just is. I wish it lasted longer and was a bit stronger, then it would be perfect!

shomica

Feminine, understated & elegant. I'm a sucker for anything sandalwood and jasmine. I never registered the fruitier notes if I'm being completely honest. I think its better fitted for the more mature crowd but I cant help myself but love it. Super comforting smell thats intimate - whenever I put it on I feel like I'm putting on a soft wool scarf because its a bit windy outside. I can see myself going for this again in a couple of years :)

books.art.dogs

I get that the top notes are fruity, but for me that dissipates fairly quickly, giving way to a powdery, woody scent. It's certainly not a beast mode scent in terms of performance and sillage, so this would be a good office scent (honestly, I think of Burberry scents in general as appropriate office fragrances).
I use this for the office, or rainy days where I just want to smell this cozy fragrance on a sweater.

swedishmilk15

It's Rochas Femme without the cumin and cinnamon. Looking back, I see this as my baby step towards vintage oriental-chypres.

RW1976

In my opinion when reading the scent description on this site, it says Burberry women is a fruity floral perfume. I do not think it is. It is more warm and calming and powdery sweet with a woodsy note to it. Upon first spray yes you do smell the apricot and peach but it is definitely mixed in with the warmer notes. It is a delightful calming comforting scent all together and very classy and memorable. It's actually just how I remembered it smelling like when I first discovered this in 2000. I noticed it lasts longer if you spray it on your clothes. There's just something yummy about this perfume.

Jazzebela

This is the scent that got me into fragrances, I love this. It smells like Christmas on me, Longevity and sillage is another story.

Konga5000

I'm on my second "vintage bottle" and all I can say is : PLEASE go and seek an older or USED bottle because the sellers on eBay and Amazon have no CLUE that collectors like the older formulas better on this one !
I can see a lot of the new reviews say "not as strong as it used to be". Well folks ; welcome to 2022: the year of crumbs and crumbling. I really love this and the original formula GETS BETTER WITH AGE ! 2 to 4 sprays lasts for MOST of a day (especially in hot weather) .

RW1976

Oh the nostalgia! I just received my Burberry today. This one brings me back to the year 2000 when I first got this perfume. I love it! Still after all these years. I haven't owned a bottle since 2004. This scent takes me back and brings back memories. When I had this perfume, I had just met my husband. I sprayed it on right before he got home and he walked in the room and said, "Mmm something smells so good". I told him it was the perfume I wore back when we met and he said that was why he liked it so much. But anyway, it smells the way I remember. Only it seems like it's not quite as strong from what I remember either. But it also changed manufacturers so that might be why. Still smells the same and I am so glad I found it because I used to love this stuff!

MiniMena

Well I'm several decades late to the party on this one but I'm glad I found this! Burberry Woman is lovely! Reminds me of peaches with icecream. I might add that I own Vanille Insensee by Atelier and this seems like a softer version of it. I've only got a little 5ml sample of this right now, but will need a full-size soon. I love the way this fragrance softly wafts around me as I go about my day. Can't wait to see how this sweetheart performs in other seasons.
Update December 2022: I own a fullsize bottle of this now. And recently
had some Christmas shopping to do. It was a mild winter day here in Canada -6°Celsius. I wore this...sprayed it liberally on me. On my way to my car a woman walking behind me asked me what perfume I was wearing because I smelled really good. That made my day!

OSM

I pretty much only get the mid notes. It strikes me as a "shampoo floral", kind of even has a bit of similarity with tearless baby shampoo. It's not bad, certainly smells clean, but I wouldn't buy it

heatherjofo

I would be curious as to whether any of you ladies out there who tend to dislike florals in general make an exception for this one as I do.

I was one of the first in my set to ditch things like Anais Anais and jump on the unisex frag bandwagon of the early 90s... although I did Dior's Eau Sauvage as I found CK One too soapy. Eau Sauvage ushered in for me a lifelong devotion to the unisex citrus; it's my winter frag in that vein, while Goutal's Eau D'Hadrien is my summer. I also have a few other eaux, a chypre or two, and a bottle of Arpege that I keep so I can occasionally smell like my Nana. No matter how much I might enjoy florals on other folks or how much fun I have trying them on at Bloomingdale's, I always come to the conclusion that they are not for me and end up regretting purchases and giving them away. Other florals would enter my life courtesy of a beloved uncle who would purchase bottles for the ladies in the family every Christmas. We would pass them around and sample and trade. I must have sampled at least fifty bottles of florals that way over the years! Generally speaking, I would let them go to someone else, though, knowing that I'd eventually find them too sweet, too overpowering, or too allergenic (I am allergic to about 80 percent of scents I sample as well as to fragrances in many household cleaning and personal care products).

One Christmas in the mid aughts, I claimed a bottle of Burberry Woman in the annual Christmas smell and swap. I figured eventually I would pitch it or give it away, but there was something in the initial spray that captivated me sufficiently to make it my own. I've gone through five bottles since!

Why does my olfactory apparatus make an exception for this one? I've no idea. I smell fresh peach and vanilla immediately upon initial spray, then the cedar and sandalwood emerge for a warm woody accord. Vanilla persists into the drydown after the "papery" smell dissipates and blends with an emerging musk. I don't quite get the green apple, and I do smell a hint of the jasmine, but fortunately not enough to trigger a major allergy attack. This fragrance gives me the overall impression of taking a luxury day off in the fall to visit a reasonably empty art museum, or perhaps arriving at work to find that everyone else took a sick day and I can get paperwork done while sipping a nice peach-vanilla herbal tea. It's quiet, feminine, non-allergenic, peace!

I'd welcome any recommendations from the board for other florals I might like, given that I generally don't like them on me and make an exception for this one.

Nana J

I had a bottle in the 90s and I didn’t repurchase as I was going through a “fresh and citrus “phase.
I’m more open to any type of perfume now as long as I feel it’s nice scent for me. The small bottle fits nicely in my bag.
And I may pull it out every now and then. It’s a comforting scent.

Gi5elle.C

Total blind buy…I like the scent…fruity, but also a little woody. Longetivity and sillage isn’t the greatest, but it makes a great after shower or bedtime scent. Smells fantastic in my hair.

ayalacyc

OMG! I am in love deliciousness fruity peachy sweet heavenly perfume, I had no idea this was a blind buy. Perfect for the office the scent would not offend anyone one single spray lasted on me 7 hours. I will buy again.

Konga5000

Buy a vintage bottle or a tester !

ShaLion

I really want to like this, and perhaps I haven’t been particularly patient with it yet, or maybe this is not the season it wants to shine for me?
There’s a fuzziness to the powder or the peach that my nose keeps trying to overcome.
It’s like when you go to a farm stand and you see all these beautiful peaches- picked warm and waiting in baskets in the sun- the winds’ just right and it’s been a lovely day-
You choose your peach & pay- you can’t wait-
You rub it on your jeans- take a seat in the golden 4:30 sunlight- you take a bite….
And it’s chalky.
And that’s where it kinda sits for me right now
Like a frost in a peach’s youth rendered it deceptively chalky
It’s funny because it almost feels like a prankster little wood nymph laughing after making me choose the wrong peach-
And that makes me curious
I will come back when I discover how to make friends with this one.

(If it makes a difference: mine is a 2017 made in France… it looks like this picture with this cap)

Note For Myself: Apple Sandalwood Vanilla Musk

Such a great fragrance

D1921

I adore this perfume. It’s comforting like a raincoat. It’s fresh like the garden after the rain. It’s soft and understated. It’s my classic.

SouthSim

This was a blind buy. The peach is at the front! Very sweet peach. Cloying vanilla. A somewhat aged smell. I agree with someone here that referenced a sweaty toddler with cotton candy. I got this cos I like moss, and on me it doesn't come through at all sadly :-(
..

Cmlake89

This fragrance was the warmth and tenderness of curling up with a book and fruit tea in a cedar cabin. The new formulation (or should I say gross dilution) is a ghost of its former glory. Pathetic really. Enough to make an all time lover feel devastated by loss. Scared to use my only remaining bottle because I'll never have it back.

Siv7Stars

Ah I got a recent one.. a shadow of it's former glory. Gutted. God I loved this, it's in my all time top five. I feel like wailing a flamenco mourning song AAIIIEEEEE NO ME ENCANTA EL NUEVO!! vuelve mi viejo mejor amigo, POR FAVOUR MI AMOR!!!! Or something. I'm not exactly fluent, obvs XD.

Lemon_Candy04

You know those type of scents that you have smelled once at one particular event in your life? This was the perfume. I also saw the notes first and I do like all of them. When I finally got it, meh. Not fresh but this perfume got released in '95. I'm a person who loves gourmand and floral/fruity perfumes, this is a different genre to those who are curious. I think I would have loved this if there weren't any moss. This is the perfume I would wear if I don't know what else to put.

annalise0151

I have Burberry For Women EDP 100ML

This was a blind purchase a gift from my mum. I do love everything Burberry so I expected class from this one.

The box is still on display in my bedroom as well as the perfume itself, because I really do like the classic Burberry box.

The perfume bottle itself is straight to the point. It's very simple looking with its dark colour and basic design.

As soon as the perfume is applied to the skin it becomes apparent that it's quite a complicated scent with a lot to think about. The most dominant tones are peachy, fruity, with pear notes. It has a dark undertone to it which I feel may be the sandalwood. The notes compliment eachother beautifully. It is a very autumnal vibe.

When first applied it is quite strong but quickly settles close to the skin. It is not a scent that could be picked up a few feet away but someone close to you would pick this up. I feel that it's subtle and classy.

This for me personally would be something I'd wear in the daytime in autumn. The longevity is not the best, completely dissipating after about 4 hours of wear for me. However the scent is so beautiful that I would take the time to reapply throughout the day for this one.

7/10

LadyM

@Rose du soir, beautifully written! However, peach stands out the most to me. Otherwise, I agree: it´s woody, earthy, and especially mossy...warm and sexy in a cheeky way.
I loved to use this one during cooler rainy, foggy days in spring and fall. I remember a particular afternoon in late autumn a few years back when I went with my friends for a cup of hot chocolate into a newly opened, very cozy, and stylish cafeteria. One gentleman came to me and said I smell nice 🍑
Again one of the great creations of the '90s.

Rose du soir

This is the essence of Fall. Burberry knows to bottle the scent of Fall like no one else.
Burberry for Women opens with apples. Fresh, juicy, raw apple, with the bit of astringency from the unpeeled fruit. This isn't what would be considered a gourmand in 2022 though. This apple is green and tart, and is as nature made it, with no added sugar. It's green, woody and earthy like the orchard where it grew. It's humid and mossy like a cloudy day. It's fresh like the wind announcing rain. And yet at the same time it's warm and cozy. Peaceful like a Fall day at home.

Sanrio

Peach dominant, sweet, powdery, floral backbone. I've been on a kick trying to find the perfect peach fragrance for myself and this is the best so far.

There's not much to say except it smells exactly as I expected it to with a hair of smokiness in the dry down that I didn't anticipate (I imagine that's coming from the cedar note?) I almost want to say there's oak moss in the dry down as well.

Really enjoyable. Womanly, work appropriate, sweet but mature, fruity but not BBW or VS like. Projection leaves a bit to be desired (becomes a skin scent after 2 hours) but it lasts a long time.

Cloelles

I have a near to full bottle of the original formulation (angular cap), EU area, buy or swap. Send a private message if you are interested. :)

katbankss

this is an every day scent for me in the colder months, it's a very cozy scent. I find it in marshalls for super cheap and i love it. its definitely not for everyone as it can be almost a little too spicy but it's a vibe for me. if you're on the fence, just buy it, the price is wonderful and the scent is good for at the very least a fun night out.

Balletflowers

I have a full 50ml bottle of this up for swap or sale, US only.

AnlisaC

Let me say first that I had the original when it first came out. Unfortunately, I now have a reformulated bottle in my collection but I always search for the earlier bottles. It is such a shame because longevity sucks! Sorry but it does. I smell the peach and pear and green apple it’s so pretty. Great for daytime spring scent and I’m sure you can definitely wear this in the summer with it’s soft projection. Too bad because it is pretty! 5/10

swedishmilk15

Loud overripe peach, dirty diaper jasmine (to respond to herculano, I do not mean poop, more like an impolite funky indolic floral, maybe the smell of a sweaty toddler that just woke up from a nap, but not poop, maybe I can't really explain what I mean, I don't have an expert nose-) vanilla + cedar giving a weird plasticky doll-head note, pissy cassis, green lilac, and a smidge of musk & earthy moss to add depth to the sweet notes. Basically all my favorite stuff. Loved this since 2008 & gone through multiple bottles. New formulation not as mossy as the original, which is disappointing, but to be expected. Still a great frag. Likely no one in your circle is wearing this; to me this is important.

Update: I understand the comparison to Ghost Deep Night after seeing it in the 'reminds me of' section here; they open very similarly. But in 👻 (new formula) the rich fruity amber/musk opening quickly fades, and it leaves behind a forgettable floral scent, something like the reformulated Chloé.

Lancôme Poême was a first beloved perfume for me, and while different, it's in the same family with its peach, vanilla, and cedar. Also check out Guerlain Mitsouko and Rochas Femme if you're into prunol scents such as this.

Crocus

This was horrible on me, it had a cleaning agent smell that reminded me strongly of Dow Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner! This blind buy was given away to a friend.

tresi

To me, this is an ideal fall/winter fragrance. Warm, classy, comforting & beautiful. Opens with oranges & peach pie a la mode, which keeps the vanilla heart from being too heavy, dries down to a lovely mossy, woodsy scent. Sometimes I almost detect a minty or perhaps evergreen hint which I find intriguing. Lasts all day & projects well; it might be a bit much in a stuffy or hot room. On a cold day or evening when you want to feel both cozy & elegant, it is just right. My favorite vanilla perfume.

myemail1186

This one is the classic one that is hard to find nowadays! the new version isn't smell as good as the original! Plus, the new one is made in Germany, not from France! Its very unfortunate !

M1tsouko

Amusky green apple scent. Cedar also is in this, making it smell more masculine.

Meowmurz

Honestly was expecting something totally different, this has a screechy peachy opening that’s wayy to strong and the dry down just smells very basic. Will be using it as a post gym scent.

Gemsense

Way too sweet and boring. It resembles I Want Choo, just a lot stronger on the sweet plasticky peach. I'll be layering this with Golden Sand by Al rehab to give it some depth. I'd rather have bought something else but I know later on I'll probably love and appreciate this so I'll just sit tight and wait. Every fragrance gets her turn in the spotlight.

Comrade Zagoryanskaya

I’ve got a bottle that is at least 10 years old so it’s probably the old formulation and the scent may have changed over time but anyways some thoughts.

This is a warm, inoffensive and very cozy fragrance. Fruit and vanilla give it some (almost gourmand) sweetness, a little flowers some delicacy and femininity. Still all of it is blended with wood so well that I really can’t distinguish many individual notes and an overall impression is of a sweet wooden fragrance of an inside of an old wooden cabinet warm with the autumn sun. Very natural and calming. Projection and longevity are not huge but they get me through the day until I apply something heavier for the evening.

Somehow I missed out on this fragrance during my youth while it had been popular. Perhaps it lacked edginess, sexiness and loudness for my young self, lol, but 25 years later I rather like it. I haven’t smelled the recent formula and judging by reviews it had changed quite a bit. If true, it’s rather sad, but I will be very much enjoying my old bottle while it lasts.

PS: I know many do not believe in layering (I used to be one of those) but if you do layer - to my taste this fragrance is great for playing with and complimenting by a little of other sandal and woody fragrances. For e.g. a little of Santal de Mysore gives Burberry some spicy oriental vibe and Wonderoud a sharper and a little masculine woody vibe.

Husband’s (knows-nothing-about-perfume intellectual introvert, favours Terre & Vetiver Tonka by Hermes) verdict: pleasant, warm and cosy.

Star_Alien

This was gifted to me.I use this as my everyday running errands perfume as it’s so boring! There’s nothing nice abt it or unique. It’s just a basic vanilla ish with some floral perfume.

ringponies

I just bought a small tester of this. I had a bottle maybe in the late 90s. Not exactly the scent I remember, but still Burberry. I’ve been exploring perfumes a lot recently, my first impression was: it’s uncomplicated, easy to smell, seems like a good perfume for someone new to trying perfume. Scent remains consistent, not a lot of notes and is affordable.

Controlledbyscent31

This was my go to and one of my first scents as a teenager up untill age 16, I used to pair it with my burberry scarf back then too.
Back then I was what you may have heard of on tiktok refered too as "an English chav"

Gold jewellery only & lots of it, huge twisty hoop earrings with pink diamanté balls on with the latest Nike tns on & drenched in this stuff.
This brings back good memories of my first boyfriend and for me this is a scent I wear for lounging in or when wearing a lounge tracksuit it is only a shadow of what it used to be in terms of strength and scent the reformulated version is basically a body spray compared to its former glory.

I still like it but only from a nostalgic point of view it is probably worn a max of 5 times per year so it will probably never be replaced in my collection unless I find a vintage bottle at a good price.
I love the sweetness and jasmine but dislike the green aspect in the background.

bandhats

I really tried to like this perfume, but it just smells like musk. I don’t get any other notes. Just. Musk.

alexis_alpw

This goes way back in the 2000s as a blind buy. Was in my early days career, and had the opportunity to grab as blind buy in those sales clearance.
Excited, and when i got home with the great buy, its really love at 1st whiff! Lol!
Little that I know, the concoction of vanilla, peach and warmth of musk got me into whimsy state of wonderland 🤭
I must say, growing up with 2 elder sisters that's so into aromatics, i thought I know about my scent world ...That, till i had my senses enlighten by this simple bottle with its rigged cap.
Something about this scent that just mixed well with my skin, and almost every time i wear it, compliments frm both man and women is aplenty. That is, till then, i discovered that its something that suits well with me, anytime of the day or.. even date nights. *Frankly, most dates finds me yummy with this scent ;)
I had repeated bottles after bottles....
Its my must haves signature in fragrance collection ever since.

beforesunset_mj

We gifted this to my mother in law from Winners so without smelling it. I was pleasantly surprised by it. It smells really good and warm and has good enough longevity considering the price. For some reason, i don't get citrusy vibes from it. Mostly a mixture of jasmine and vanilla. Would not buy it for myself, only because I think there are better perfumes out there.

jas000n

I like this perfume (I have reformulated)
Without looking at the notes I'd say it smells like a warm, solar citrus with vanilla and yellow musk. It also has kind of a green-ness which makes it smell outdoorsy to me. I feel like every 90's fragrance I've tried is kinda green must just be the trend back then idk 😂

I doesn't last too long on the skin but it sticks to clothes well. It's a skin scent in the way that it smells like hot skin after going outside. I like it for everyday casual wear/ work. I can see this easily being a signature scent but only to the people who hug you and stuff.

pickletastic

Really don't enjoy this, there is some note in it (weirdly in Coco Mademoiselle too) thar hits the back of my throat, producing a dry scratchy uncomfortable sensation. The mossy element is strong, yet it results in not a pleasant chypre like original Miss Dior or Chanel No.5, but just a dry dusty strong perfume smell with a suggestion of fuzzy (rather than fresh and/or fruity peach)

In the interests of balance, my mother and sister both love it, its tenacious on my perfume-eating skin (why is it always the ones I don't like that last?!) as well as clothes, and there is an admirable noticeable cohesion in all Burberry perfumes that I've tried (this, The Beat and Body) that - utterly barmy as it sounds - is evocative of the odour of the lining of a classic Burberry trenchcoat.

I wish I liked it, but two attempts twenty years apart indicate it as a "no" for me.

vanilie

i'm assuming my juice is the reformulated one because on me it smells like a very faint peach and jasmine with a hint of booziness? which i don't 100% dislike but it's so washed out i gotta stick my nose right on my arm to even sniff it and longevity is low.

morrisseyhatebot

wow. i... really didn't like this one. maybe it just doesn't work with my body chemistry, but i feel like it smells awful on me! i really wanted to like this, but i am not a fan. on me it smells like the strongest stereotypical-old-lady-scent that you could imagine. definitely let down this time :(

LaLuNaveed

I remember wearing this fragrance long time ago, in early 2000s. I thought it was very special, soft, opulent, fruity, flowery, like a warm, sunny day. I just saw a 100ml on sale for $30, so I snatched it. New version, but still wonderful. I can't compare side by side with original and pinpoint the differences and I am sure it was reformulated, but it still gives off the same warm, comforting vibe and I still love it. I am so glad I got it.

dezaval

How to be chic and classy in the 90s! This is such a beautiful perfume. Autumn fruits (mostly black currant and fresh cut green apple) in a spicy, vanillic and musky cloud. It reminds me a lot of Joop All About Eve, which a wore back then. It's like a sunny day in winter. Ideal a s a signature fragrance especially in cold weather. I would mostly recomend it as an everyday fragrance. A classic and classy one!

skiergirl24

Lovely and refined. I used to wear this ~10 years ago but have not seen it around as of late. This is understated and classy. Smooth with hints of vanilla, peach and floral notes.

Rhiannandb

This is one of my favs first of all I love it . It opens with a zesty blackcurrant and a creamy peach and then settles down to just the peaches n cream very yummy! The opening is very similar to smelling a whole currant bush which I loove it reminds me of sitting in the garden as a kid I always loved the smell of the currant bush . And then it turns very gourmand and the black currant goes away Which I also love ! This definitely got me on wanting more lactonic fragrances even tho that's not a listed accord it's very creamy to me 🤤

I had a bottle of this over 15 years ago and recently started looking into some Burberry Classics - before they are all gone. Unfortunately I've not been able to get my hands (online) on one of the old bottles with the "rigged" cap. So yesterday I sprayed a new bottle (says made in Germany) and to my surprise this is still very very nice - however a bit lighter and airy. In my memory it was denser and maybe even a tad warmer with more vanilla but honestly - could be a trick of my mind. The new formulation opens up very fruity, something I hoped to get from Taylor by Taylor Swift btw but that one jumps directly to the dry-down of Burberry Women (Taylor is still a very nice fragrance though, also discontinued unfortunately). The dry-down, as said, is maybe not as punchy as before but the DNA is still there - musky, woody peaches covered in vanilla sprinkles. I think I will actually buy a bottle of the new formulation/bottle. My jacket still smells of this and it's been a day, so longevity and sillage on clothes is fine :)

Faerie0382

I absolutely love this perfume! I was fortunate enough to find 3 1oz bottle of the original formula/bottle and it's the best fall scent. It's such a smooth peachy scent, with an amazing woody scent. I am happy to get rid of the other 2 bottles if someone is interested.

Mbrock

I've had several bottles of this over the years but it has obviously been reformulated and ruined. I came here to see if anyone else had the issue and after reading Blue Bouquets review I see I am not the only one thinking this has changed. This used to be be very nice peach and vanilla with woodiness rounding it out. It is like water now. I cant smell much of anything and I sprayed myself and my clothes. I think this is another that has been ruined and is no longer worth keeping around. My shelf of perfumes has shrunk quite a bit in the last year with many perfumes so weak now that they are ruined. It is very disappointing.

Blue Bouquet

I would love to leave an actual review, however I think it may have been reformulated because I smell nothing except a very faint cedar note. It’s almost non existent as I have to jam my nose into my wrist. I also tried to spritz it onto a sweater and got nothing but a screechy alcohol smell. Could be an older bottle but, with the new lid. Just not sure. So disappointed, was really looking forward to wearing.

Cloelles

I just got this fragrance simply by reading the reviews. It had got a lot of positive reviews of a comforting peachy scent. To me this smells a lot like Burberry Her and BR450... Basically Her is a milder version of 450 and Women is a milder more comfy version of Her... That´s what i smell, maybe I´m crazy.. lol. I got the original version with the "barrel" cap instead of the smooth cap (after reformulation). I wish the smell stayed the same as it does in the first 5 mins after spraying on the skin: fruity and soft. But on me it turnes perfumey and super sweet like burned sugar (just like those perfumes that i just mentioned). My husband hated the smell now that i let him smell it on my skin after about 1h from spraying it on my skin. If you don´t like 450 or Burberry Her, you will not like this one either.

Update: the second day i sprayed it on my shirt and not on my skin in an effort to sustain the initial 5 min scent.. and it worked! I can´t stop smelling my shirt, it is such a nice fruity and comfy cuddly inoffensive scent. Now my husband said i smell good and asked what it is! And last night he hated the same smell on my skin! So all in all, if a perfume turns to turd on your skin, only spray it on your clothes!

AndraLau

So I had this perfume again like a year ago. It is very peachy and woody with a way too strong musk note in my opinion, I do like how is super fruity the first hour, but then I feel like the musk overpower the wood note and it really just settle down with a salty almost bitter scent, do not get me wrong I do like this perfume, specially for fall and winter time, but I feel is one of those fragrances that are just okay and would make you feel cozy and warm in a cold winter day, other than that I feel is a regular perfume.

Perfumelady88

Nice sweeting smelling fragrance. I don't get any fruit notes though. It doesn't project much and it fades pretty quickly on my skin. However, it has lasted 10+ hours on my clothes. I paid $25 for this so I consider it a win. I'd repurchase

carmenandmonkey

My old school love. Nostalgic, and still stands the test of time. I’ve smelled hundreds of frags (designer and niche) yet there’s nothing that I’ve come across quite like this. It’s so well blended so I wouldn’t say its a peach, apple or vanilla etc scent. It’s classy, smooth, and at the same time reminiscent of Fun Dip candy! It’s sweet but yet grounded by the sandalwood, moss and cedar.
Happy I was able to find the old formulation (ridge cap, made in France- not smooth cap from Germany).

ash45365

On me I don't smell a lot of the fruit notes, it's more of a sweet musky smell on me. At first spray it was a sharp scent I didn't like but it dried down very nicely into a clean, sweet musky scent. I really liked the dry down. I don't have a lot of perfumes like this one and am glad I took a chance on it.

Jossie116

❤️❤️❤️it!!! Smooth…sweet and comforting… soft and it lasts a long time on my skin and clothes….my 9 year old daughter loves it so much she wanted her own bottle… it’s not offensive sweet or bubble gum sugar sweet…. It’s a clean soft sweet.

Jasmine08

Smelled this fragrance on someone and thought it was gorgeous. Even after letting her spray it on me, it had a nice scent. Bought my own bottle and whenever I wore it, I could barely smell it on myself. It had no lasting power on me. I ended up giving it to my aunt. Always do a proper test on your skin before purchasing a new scent!

Gypsy French

I have an older bottle pre-reformulation with the lower ridged silver cap like on the picture and it smells incredible. It's the most amazing peach-cedar-moss scent ever and I could just sniff my arm all day. Just don't overspray : 2-4 sprays is more than enough for all day wear. In my top 5 most complimented fragrances by both men and women. It's comforting and feminine and the older bottles have great longevity (8 to 12 hours on skin and a day on clothes). To really appreciate this one, you have to have an older bottle, which has a more proeminent moss note and a fantastic richness and fullness to it; I smelled the one in the new bottle and cap and it's a disaster and nothing like the beauty it once was. I'm glad I have a vintage back up bottle of this one.

gogorokki

I do not like this at all, luckily it was a gift. It smells so sour, musky and strong on me that I gave up on it on the first spray. It lasts a long time too, which may be good for performance but I just can’t stand it.

Juliusq75

I am new to this scent, but I have been reaching for it all week. I really like it on its own, but I have to say, when I layer it with Outremer Vanille, it makes it next level for me, just a bit more depth to it. I don't know what the longevity used to be on this, but can attest it is pretty abysmal for me, even with good lotion I only get maybe 3 hours, and very little sillage. I think this is a pretty safe office scent as it stays close, and I can just give my wrist a sniff to get that cozy apricot-vanilla. I can see this working all year round really, maybe a heavier spray in winter, but the spice would work in cold weather also I think if you want a light winter scent with some warmth to it.

MadMoosie

Why oh why did they have to ruin one of my favourites! Used to love this gorgeous fragrance, alas now it has been reformulated it is not worth buying. No last power even on my clothes. 😞

2whit2quit

The newer formulation has nowhere near the longevity as the original, which is too bad because the drydown was my favorite part.

girlieeusername

my favorite of all time. initial spray i smell apricot the most, a tiny bit spicy, but not bright spicy, like pink pepper, more like dark cinnamon spicy, like from a winter spicy latte. drydown is rich, warm, comforting bc of the amber, sandlewood and cedar. i would describe this as an apricot/amber perfume the most. doesn't have the longest performance, but i don't care, since it's so affordable, a full 3oz bottle u can find for less than $30 on ebay.

leona.voltz

I had this years ago and I don't recall it being so cloyingly sweet. I also oddly pick up an almond scent. Just a little too sweet for my liking, to me it's sweet like Juicy Couture sweet. Smells like a sweet teen scent, whereas years ago it was more well rounded.

tempbee123

I don't smell peaches at all when I wear this. I smell wood and vanilla. I love the smell but no on else smells it on me and it gives me a massive headache. I had to start searching for other perfumes because the pleasant aroma was not worth the headache. I still love the fragrance though.

MCulpa

Reformulation smells like nasty peaches soaking in water. Such a shame

annasarahr121

Burberry Women is a beautiful musky peach, with a hint of vanilla warming and sweetening the fruits, and a dash of oakmoss toning down the sweetness. Peach is not a note that works for everyone; it has this milky/lactonic quality that can seem sour on some skin (like sour milk).

I had so much fun today comparing Burberry Women with several other peach-centric fragrances that I have -- Guerlain's Mitsouko, Lancome's Tresor, Burberry Body, Guerlain's Nahema, Elizabeth Taylor's Diamonds and Rubies, and of course, Jessica Simpson's Fancy Love (peach blossom). While I can definitely smell peach in all of them, a couple of them are actually rose-peach: Guerlain's Nahema's juicy rose-peach, Lancome Tresor's and Burberry Body's dry and dusty rose-peach, and Elizabeth Taylor's spicy cinnamon rose-peach. Guerlain Mitsouko is that austere oakmossy chypre peach that Burberry Body references in a more contemporary, wearable way, with its bitter wormwood operating like the heavy oakmoss. I wish I weren't out of warm and yummy Gucci Rush, so I could've included it in my investigation. But overall, it was pretty darn peachy at my house today!

Burberry Women is fruitier than all of my other peachy offerings, and warmer than any except for Diamonds and Rubies, with all those spices, and Gucci Rush. In spite of the mess of fruits in the top notes, with Burberry Women, peach is the star. Also, although the peach is in the top note, it dries down peachy, too. I do also smell some cedar and musk, and a hint of vanilla, in the drydown. It's so lovely -- not too sweet, with a soft and fuzzy cozy sweater feeling.

Jessica Simpson's Fancy Love, which definitely resembles Burberry Women, has more fizzy effervescence and lightness ("champagne" note) up top (vs. fruitiness), and is overall a more delicate scent, with a little less depth and complexity (though I love it, too). Actually, the notes of Fancy Love do not include peach, but rather peach blossoms, lending it a more delicate quality than Burberry Women. I think Burberry Women has better staying power than Fancy Love, but they are really similar, sharing that cozy musky peachiness. Peach is one of my favorite notes in perfume and Burberry Women is such a lovely offering. It's an easy wearing, cozy, fresh, happy fragrance that I wear year round, day or night. <3 <3 <3

pac1990

this was one of my quarantine buys. the first time I tested this...oh god...LOVED IT. until I bought it and started wearing it. don't know if it's the blackcurrant or the moss but it has this metallic smell that i can't stand, like smelling brass or steel. so sad, looked so promising. I agree that this is a very creamy and soft smell and definitely keeps that burberry DNA very strongly. it's a sweet, cozy moment when you're slippin on your couch to read a book on a sunday afternoon (maybe there's a brass coffee table nearby? 🤣🤣🤣). i gave it to my mum and she loves it.

punky9791

I tried a sample of this and I. am. loving it! How am I just discovering this now? No matter--there isn't any going back now that I have found this delectable fragrance.

I was skeptical at first sniff, smelled strong citrus and alcohol...

which quickly blended into a beautiful woodsy vanilla--almost feels like there's a chocolate note in here, it's wonderful.

I have been sniffing myself all day and cannot wait to order a bottle.

Four words for Burberry Women: soft, cozy, romantic and elegant.

Timi1983

One of my first purchase this was.
Floral/fruity they say. I do get woooood.
Such a comforting fragrance to die for.
Very well blended and unique.
Burberry for woman is a gem, it smells differently depending on skin chemistry obviously and I am one of them women that wear this with proudness! It lingers in my skin and stays on for hours (7-8)
I get the Cedar and the Sandalwood more than anything else.
I could describe this as the London fragrance. This reminds me of London so much! She is a refined and elegant Lady that everybody want to sniff.
Finished my third bottle and bought 2!
PS this is not a everybody scent like people said. This need character to be worn and as mentioned the right chemistry.

Love!!

MyersAlice

The first time I tried this, I didn't like it. So I just put it on my shelf and didn't use it again,
until today about 4 years later. It doesn't smell like I remember it did, I really like it now.
It's as if it "matured" over the years. It's a very warm and sensual scent,
I thought there would be amber in it. But I guess it's the peach and musk, not sure.
I'm glad I tried it again.

Lala Bibo

My all time favorite I bought over 12 bottles over 15 Yrs !
I love it ❤️

c1cko

Safe feminine blindbuy. Inoffensive, though projects more loudly on some skin. Juicy fresh fruit, with woods and a wee bit of white flower which balances out any tartness very well. On my skin it's more fresh and light, but on my friend's skin it dies down to a warm vanilla. Both are lovely smells, I can't imagine this smelling off-putting or being incompatible with anyone.

Juttajii

Today it's -33 degrees celsius where I live, and I was thinking of wearing some other perfume. I opened my perfume drawer, and after months of not being used, a scent of oranges, cedar, vanilla and musk hit me in the head like a bang. I had to have Burberry for Women.
It's classy, elegant, unisex and somehow warm. Someone described it as tiger vanilla ice cream in the comments, and I agree (but I add a splash of bourbon).
Perfect winter scent. I usually wear this at home because it makes me feel so cozy, but today it gives me extra comfort in the mega-freezing weather.

arodriguez95

I've had this scent for many years and it's always been good to me. Subtly sweet, fuzzy peaches and apricots with powdery vanilla, smooth cedar, and light musk. Equally beautiful with fluffy sweaters in the cold weather or flowing dresses in the warm weather This is a soft, inoffensive, linear scent on me with decent longevity, about 4-5 hours. A good easy reach type of scent for any season and any occasion when I want to feel effortlessly classy

Fraghag7

It's interesting that I see people feel this is a fruity or sweet scent. To me this is nothing but cedar, vanilla and musk. This fragrance has a vintage vibe to it, in my opinion and reminds me of a cool, old library. I absolutely love it. This is not a scent I reach for if I want fruity or sweet. This is what I reach for when I want to smell classic. When I wear this I want to sip on bourbon and read a book! Makes me feel cozy and slightly sexy.
I do think this is a warmer fragrance because of the vanilla. I also agree with others who wonder if that has been reformulated because my new bottle isn't as strong as a remember. Still the same scent though.

JSpines

This fragrance was a "belly flop" for me. I should have known better! When I read that some people said it smelled like Jessica Simpson's Fancy Love, I should have ran for the hills! I owned Fancy Love years ago and wasn't a fan but for some reason I thought that maybe Fancy Love wouldn't be an exact dupe for Burberry Women and just maybe I'd find something about Burberry Women that I'd like. It's my own fault! Haha Sometimes you just want to take a chance and try it for yourself instead of taking other people's word for it. You win some, you lose some! This was a loss for me. I found that this fragrance and Fancy Love smell pretty much identical. They both smell nice enough, just not my personal preference as far as what I like to smell on myself.

It is quite heavy on the peach and apricot and overall, that's what stands out to me. There is a smoothness and a creaminess that is comforting, as well as a warmth in the base that ties everything together. If you like Fancy Love, you are guaranteed to like this as well. Even though it's not for me, I can certainly still appreciate it for what it is. You can't win them all!

Coffeeandperfume

Nothing special. Sweet and floral, like a ton of other stuff out there. The sweet and floral here are just boring. Save your cash for something good. Too everyday-ish. OK, I might not have given it a fair chance since I only used it in the summer and it cloyed me and suffocated me, so I gave it away. Maybe if I used it in the winter I would have appreciated it more.

Test before you buy. I'm boring myself writing about it.

ALC555

Burberry Classic is from 1995 when fragrances for both men and women were more on sweet, tutti frutti, light and aquatic creations. This was one of them. In the 2000's men can actually wear this without a doubt. Definitely a fruity unisex scent. I was reluctant at first when l tested this two years ago but my body chemistry adopted. When l wear it, it becomes masculine. When a woman wears it, it becomes feminine. An excellent EdP for men to wear in a crisp white shirt especially during the summer season. Truly a unisex classic. Great find!

middle25

This was my signature scent until about four years ago. I bought a new bottle and either it's a very weak reformulation or a fake. I'm so disappointed because I consider it one of the 90's classics. I had a mini coffret bottle and it was one of the first fragrances that I did a double take on, loving it from the first sniff. It starts out with that fruit - peach and apricot and black currant. As it goes on, it becomes a mellow, well-blended beautiful scent of the color gold, just like the perfume itself. The sandalwood, vanilla, cedar, and a little musk mix in and give it a richness, full of body. On me, it is a scent mixed with a little sweetness from the fruits and a warm, gorgeous dry down. I don't usually like moss but it's fine here - I don't really smell it. This used to last all day with moderate sillage but, as I said, this last bottle doesn't have that oomph. At the time this came out, it was unique to my nose. Later perfumes that I also have like Fancy Love, Taylor, and 5th Avenue Style all remind me of the original Burberry, with Fancy Love having more musk and Taylor and 5th Ave Style being crisp, lighter versions. I think it could be worn year-round in any weather, but it reminds me of a cool, pretty autumn, blue-sky day with a radiant, golden sunset.

MadMoosie

Would love to know if this has been reformulated as I see a different looking bottle (lid) on line. If it has been, is it still worth buying, as I used to love the smell, silage and longevity the original had... thanks 🙏🏼

anyanareden

It is such a beautiful and warm perfume. Am I crazy for thinking that it almost smells boozy to me
? Since… in the Philippines… our lowest temperature is usually is around 20-22 degrees. This is a nice kind of raining evening scent. It is not too strong. It smells elegant, fruity and rich to me. Sadly, this perfume does not last long at all on my skin. I can still noticeably smell it on me after an hour two hours tops.

The first notes I get, again, keep in mind that I live in a very hot and humid country.. get are a strong black currant, apricot, green apple, peach and a hint of pear.

After a couple of minutes I still smell the black currant and a bit of apricot, but I can now also smell sandalwood, musk and cedar wood.

As it almost disappears, I can still smell the beautiful apricot but I now also I finally can smell a tiny bit of Jasmine, still black current and moss. Sadly i do not smell the vanilla at all in this perfume.

Alright that’s it. Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video! stay safe. <3

Roses and Thyme

I should love this scent! I like Burberry quite a lot as a house, like peach, like vanilla, like apricot...but this just doesn’t work on me. I get pure cedar with some sort of screechy top note. It could very well be that my bottle has gone off, as I see a lot of people describing it as peach pie or peach ice cream and I’m not getting that at all. Maybe one day I will try to find another bottle to compare.

bathcatz

I remember owning this in middle school.. not a cute scent for a 12 year old lol, I almost never wore it so it lasted years! This scent smells like a stronger version of Cloud by Ariana grande. This is definitely a scent for late fall winter. Won't be cute to wear on hot days at all.

Ronett

Does it smells like white fancy by js ??

Patricia888

I ordered a bottle as I`m in my perfume obsession phase where I try time-tested perfumes which are still around as they should be good if there is fan-base that are still buying them.

To me this smells no more and no less than a Christmas tree. I don`t feel peach, apricot etc. just green Christmas tree which I find peculiar and interesting so I will keep testing it and report back. And I`m so surprised that from all the many reviews there was only one more comment that they find something Christmasy about this perfume.

Amylya

Bottle from 2020 - made in Germany?!- has very poor longevity and sillage, very weak smell. Just a ghost of the beautiful perfume this used to be. Such a shame, Burberry!

Viktoria8267

Burberry i love it! all theire perfumes are good.
This i wear all year around. Its rich, nice, yummy.
If you not tried it, do! Give it a chance!

Lavandermilk

I sprayed this and found out that my school's secretary used to wear it. One sniff and I was immediately taken back to standing in the office. Isn't it so cool how you can unearth a smell that you already have so many memories with?

I thought I would like this but I just can't.
It smells like moldy peaches.

Its hot and humid and a basket of overripe peaches that is sitting under an old wooden porch too long, the weather has been rainy, they start fermenting, molding, and rotting right along with the basket that's holding them.

The moss is too prevalent on me and the peaches/apricots too sickly sweet. The sillage was good, it lasted a long time on my skin.

The dry down is much better, the vanilla comes out more but it still smells too much like a musky mold old house. This definitely something I can see an older woman wearing. Like their mid-30s-50s. It is not for me.

correspondencepersonal

I loved a lot of the positive reviews on this, just tried it - and it is really horrid with my chemistry. I can't wear this one -- it turns into a mess on my skin and goes very sharp and rancid. I'm not sure which chemical note is causing this, but it is not going to work for me.

The new bottle design is simple yet elegant, it fits in your hand well and has a really nice spray to it. Looks very pretty - would look nice with my collection of Perfum bottles but does absolutely nothing with my chemistry.

This is why it is so important to actually try on a fragrance before purchasing it. I don't feel that it would be a good blind buy.
However, there are some really great reviews about this.
It works for a lot of people!
Fragrances are so personal, you never know what will happen with your chemistry.
You have to try them on!

One clue, this has some notes in it which register in the same range with Calvin Klein's Obsession for women, which I also have a strong aversion too. Both of these are horrid on me. I can't wear either of them!

-----------

I'm trying this again, now - and have washed off all of the other fragrances that I initially tried when I sprayed this. It is setting up better on the skin this time - but the peach/apricot notes have a cloying quality about them. the other notes seem to be much better and blend into my skin more uniform. The peach/apricot goes extremely sharp - and rancid.

If you are someone who is having a reaction to this one -- or if you are in love with Burberry Woman but just want some variety with a similar perfume - you may want to try David Yurman Exotic Essence. It has a similar depth, with notes of peach/apricot/amber -- but the notes are much better with my chemistry. The dry down of Burberry Women goes really soft and toned down on my skin, nothing much happening. David Yurman's Exotic Essence has some similar notes mixed with some notes that add depth and have more of a multi-faceted type chemical burst on the skin. It is more complex. Try that too, you may like both - or may prefer one over the other, they both have their own personalities and would expand your fragrance wardrobe. You never know which will wear better on your skin till you try them.

----------

Today I'm trying the Burberry after laying off Mexican food with spicy salsa, onions, and garlic... Burberry Woman is much better without the chemistry of the stronger notes in the foods that I've been eating - with the Covid 19 scare and quarantine. There are so many things that influence chemistry and how certain fragrances interplay on your skin. If you are someone who has tried Burberry Woman and feel that you can't wear it, you may want to experiment with the stronger food notes, see if you can wear this by shifting your diet a little bit.

------------

There are some reviewers that have said they can't stand the peach notes within Burberry Woman because it goes too sweet on them. You may want to try the David Yurman Exotic Essence or Bijan. Both seem to have a certain smell which is similar to the Burberry Woman base, but have added additional notes which interact and make it less about the peach type notes. You may find that you like this better.

Magnoliajo

I get a creamy sweet orange with a dash of moss that stops it being too sweet. It's a light scent with some slight depth. Very comforting and pretty I find myself wearing it for bed mostly but also in the day during warmer weather. Very pretty and delicate. Lasts a few hours but I wish it would last longer

Duft Liebe

This is actually so nice!

I often find myself reaching for it. It is an easy, positive everyday scent, which I NEVER find on anybody else.
What I mainly get is a fresh, green apple. And this is so refreshing and upliftig! I enjoy it, because it still manages to be very `grown-up` and feminine, even lady-like.
I will find myself a backup soon. Great price and lovely bottle. And I need to mention the very satisfying spray head.

sugarandchic

I really wish I could love what this perfume had to offer. The subtle spice, the well-balanced warmth, the caramel.

Unfortunately, as soon as I've sprayed this on myself, I get an off-putting, synthetic, musty note that means my bottle just at the bottom of a box for months until I try again, feel the same annoying note, and put it back.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

Margarita Birda

I absolutely love this perfume. An old one but a classic value. Ageless. For the girl or woman that wants to smell nice, soft, inoffensive, timeless but still noticeable. A very well blended and rounded perfume with a balanced mix of fruit and warm soft woods with good longevity. Friendly and inviting, sexy but with a class. Rather warm but not cloying, perfect all year round. The dry down soothes my mind.

lisalesliex

I love this perfume. I feel as though this is one that will never get old.

It's a fruity, bubblegum, musky scent that is perfect for daytime wear. It's not too heavy and perfect for light wearing.

I mix it with the Ariana Cloud and I find they compliment each other so well.

Austrian_in_Denmark

This is a really good peach perfume.
Peach is not a safe bet for me. My skin amps it ups, and it can get uncomfortably sweet (please note: I am someone who loves Pink Sugar!).

I am thus not the best canvas for peaches. What's more, Burberry Women has cedar and moss - both tricky on me. This scent seems to be the recipe for disaster.

However, it actually is quite nice. Burberry Women smells like a sweet cream liqueur - the peach equivalent to Baileys. Not a favourite of mine, but very agreeable.
On people that play peach well, Burberry Women must be wonderful.

Moderate to good sillage and longevity.

UnearthlyApothecary

I was convinced I hated peaches in perfume. Then I fell in love with Gucci Rush. It was all downhill from there lol ( I wasn’t too surprised to learn the same perfumer created this one) I still can’t believe how long it’s taken me to try Women especially since I LOVE Burberry perfumes. Women is another worth falling for. The opening is a mildly tart mix of apricot with a hint of black current, the pear and apple aren’t really obvious to my nose. It quickly settles down into a musky peachy vanilla. It’s like the peach version of vanilla fields or another 90’s vanilla. ( another aha moment when I see that this incredible perfumer also created Casmir) The mossy/woods base isn’t obvious right away, but slowly appears now and then to tantalize. There is this slight dusty/musty vibe from the dry woods and moss that I just love. The silage is on the softer side, I think this one will be a cozy/ bedtime reach.

I love getting scents that I've never smelled but that have been around for 20 years! There is history there, science perfected, art in the bottle that so many know about but I never knew...until now. This is perfection. The vintage cap is perfection, the bubble bottle that sits like a smooth stone in your hand is perfection, the scent is absolutely the most perfect scent I have ever smelled!
It's a bit mossy with black currant. Very long lasting as well! ...
I bought both a vintage and a new bottle; to me there's not really a difference in scent. It's just the new bottle has a plain generic cap I don't care for.

(I'd say to Coty, please put that beautiful cap back on as that is what is known and loved! 😔)

I’m just getting acquainted with this one. I don’t recall smelling it when it came out, but after first smell it smelled familiar. I’m sure I’ve known people who wore it, though I can’t place who.
I’m 3 hours into wearing it, and it gives me Chloe Nomade vibes. Remember. I’m just now wearing this one. Plus, I’ve only tested Nomade in stores a few times. I could be off, but after checking the notes, I see they do have some in common. Moss is a tricky note for me. Intriguing but slightly off putting at the same time. It’s definitely something different in my collection. Might end up being one I share with my husband because I think it has a unisex feel.

Such a beautiful classic, timeless scent. It’s soft, creamy, musky. Kind of reminds me of an orange creamsicle vibe. Very comforting. Chanel Allure EDP is quite similar but louder. And harder to find/more expensive than this one. Almost unisex too. Can be soft and pretty but dries down into a pleasant more woodsy vibe. Beautiful sandalwood and vanilla

Purchased after sniffing it on a coworker who smelled absolutely heavenly. On her it was peach ice cream with a hint of sandalwood and cedar. On me pear is prominent followed by vanilla and cedar but I'm not disappointed at the difference. There's no category for a "woody gourmand" but that's how Burberry Women smells to me, as if I'm enjoying a dessert of whipped cream covered pears poached with vanilla in a trendy cafe in an old building with well-worn wood floors. Sweet, creamy & woody deliciousness -- an odd combo to be sure.

Moderate application is evident to me for about 6 hours but I've received compliments at the 10 hour mark so it's evident to others past the point where I can smell it on myself. Highly recommended!

This is so beautiful. Many people complain that peach notes can smell artificial - this smells perfectly peachy without anything synthetic. It’s fresh when you spray it and develops into a creamier scent as it wears, likely from the sandalwood, with a woodsiness too from the moss and cedar. I smelt the sandalwood more as it dried down and the fresh peach turned almost powdery and warm to me, but when I asked others what they could smell they told me they could smell something woodsy, too, though the fruits never fade away. The notes are blended very well. It’s unlike anything else I own, and it’s warm and comforting without being at all spicy, so it would work for someone who wants a lighter or more daytime appropriate winter scent, who doesn’t like spice or has spice notes turn weird on their skin. I have it listed in my winter collection but I think this one really could work in most weather - it won’t disappear in winter but it won’t suffocate you in the heat, either. Comparisons to a peach orchard are certainly on point!

Hmm where to start? This Burberry fragrance is the only one that appeals to me, and for a long time, was my signature scent. The Peach/apricot/vanilla opening is so warm and sweet. Very pleasant. In my opinion Jessica Simpson's Fancy does not come close to Burberry in the opening. The dry down however is somewhat similar, with the combination of cedar/sandalwood/vanilla and subtle fruity notes. I don't get black currant on my skin at all. Not sure if it should even be listed here. Some love it and some hate it, but I must say that I always get compliments when I wear it. The sillage and longevity of this has unfortunately decreased since it's been reformulated, but it doesn't hurt my feelings when I need to reapply.

This one is the 90% clone of Fancy Love by Jessica Simpson. Since I had the body spray of Fancy Love I started to layer it with Burberry, which makes a perfect match because they are so similar. Burberry's longevity is better than Fancy Love. In addition, I tend to separate my fragrances by seasons but this one will be around all year long because it is perfect for all seasons. I like it a lot.

EDIT : You know what else it reminds me of, especially at the very very drydown? Allude EDP by Chanel, probably due to several similar notes, among others, peach and vanilla, but Allure is stronger. Since I have both, I will keep Burberry for working days and Allure for special occasions.

This was a good buy at Walgreens and I'm so glad I got it! It has good longevity and smells delish! It's opening is bright and cheery but sophisticated. It dries down to a soft vanilla, bezoin type smell with a hint of an apricot/peach smell. The perfume seems versatile enough to wear to school as a teacher but special enough to wear out with my husband.

I was introduced to this scent in an Elle magazine ad you break open to sample, and I fell in love with it. I appreciate those ads! I agree with all who say this makes you feel good. It surely does. Very comforting and enveloping. It lasts a really long time on me and stays in the room when I leave. Men like it a lot. I think it’s heavier and more woody amber on me than others find it, and it’s powdery, not so identifiably fruit forward except for sweetness. It’s so lovely and soft. I don’t let myself run out of it and I average once a week wearing it to work, mostly Fridays, unless I’m not feeling good and want the perfume equivalent of a favorite soft throw. It’s a bit of a sexy girl, too relaxed and cuddly and therefore seems too seductive for every day at the office on me, but perfect for almost-weekend, saying I can’t wait for this day to end!! Let the fun begin!

Ariella_essenzia_lux

This is predominantly a soapy peachy scent with some powderness. It lasts a long time with good silage but not my cup of tea. I have a bottle to swap, if you are interested.

So good. In the cooler weather, it's a holiday party eating a warm, peach cobbler and apple crisp (peach forward) with vanilla ice cream melting on top. Fire place is warming the surroundings and a bowl of fruity, musky sweet (from the sherbert) punch is on the table as part of the offerings.

During the heat of summer, it's a glass of peach sun tea, warmed cocoa-butter-lathered-skin, surrounded by a forest full of life.

In both cases, they are extremely cozy. Blooms a little more in the heat on me, but definitely smells great regardless of season. Classy, welcoming, and a great skin scent that exudes a confident and friendly vibe.

This is very nice. It's sweet peaches and cream when you first spray it on. No wonder it's been around so long. It's wonderful. That first spray is delicious but the other notes are there, even the woody ones. It's all well-blended. Not a lot of sillage but it is there wearing close to your skin. So it's safe anywhere you don't want to have a loud fragrance. The scent is so good!

irenad87

What a lovely skin scent. It smells cozy and sweet in the most innocent way, almost preppy. Yet it can be worn by any age group, because it's so subtle in its sweetness.
This is definitely one of my favorites.

No guys, there are categories. Just cause,a cleaning product smells like strawberries doesn't mean that a pwrfume that has strawberry will smell "like it." This one is in the lines and category of Gucci "Guilty", it's sophisticated, innocent but rich and classy, so casual and chic. Jessica Simpson's is in another level, they prob smell similar but please don't confuse the two. The dry downs are different, one dries down to a kind of cheap smell and Burberry to sophistication, there is a diffefence of coarse, one is Burberry.

hazygem

A busy fizz of fruits. Legit smells like it should be carbonated. It’s a little bit weird with my skin chemistry but is better on clothing. On my skin it gets cloying pretty quickly. Better than average projection.
