I love to browse online marketplaces for pre-loved fragrances, and fell over this one. The initial spray had a weird smell, and I was so sad it had gotten old, but oh no.. that smell quickly disappeared, and a fresh citrussy fresh smell emerged. Now a couple of hours later a very lovely skinscent. Its still very lovely. I will try it out some more, but its very subtle, very 90ies white linnen Calvin Klein vibe.

@nanah....I got Kenzo amour florale to swap. I bought it blindly but it's not my style. DM me

nanah

Since it came out in 2001, I had numerous bottles of Emporio White, by now hunted on the likes of ebay. Sadly, nothing comes close. Over the years, I found some slight reminiscence of Emporio White aura in a few other scents like Kenzo Amour Florale (discontinued by now) due to its blackcurrant-citrus-musk accord, or Brumes des Khao Sok (discontinued as well) due to cold greens-musk. I hoped that Alberto Morillas would use some of Emporio Armani ideas somewhere in his Mizensir line, but he didn't.

I too am a lover of Armani white for her, it is my favourite all time scent, I have a tiny amount left in an old bottle that I spray only when I am missing it too badly. The following are not exactly dupes, but these scents remind me of white:
1. Commodity - Bergamot
2. Armani Prive Vetiver D'hiver - possibly same perfumer?
3. Aesop - Tacit
Interested to hear what others think!

funita

On January 7, I ordered a fragrance from them (eclat) and to this day I have neither received the bottle nor the money. It doesn't look fair. If anything changes, I'll let you know!

Where can I buy ÉCLAT 050 RAR in the US? Looks like the brand only ships within Europe?

hanna07

Wow ok wait.. if this is true, than this is just the best day ever. I purchased no.50 from the German brand Eclát 10 minutes ago. Can't wait for it to arrive :). Lovathecat, you're the real MVP.

Wishina

I just want to thank lovathecat for the comment below. I bought Eclat number 50, and I can say it’s definitely the same as the original. You made my day!

lovathecat

I ordered a dupe of White for Her (my fave scent in my twenties, which i haven’t smelled in at least 10 years) from the dupe brand Eclát. I think it’s a great dupe, it’s no. 50 in their rarities collection. Not sure it you can buy from them in the US but in Europe there is a UK site and a German site, of which i ordered mine to Sweden.

Like i said, i haven’t smelled the original in ages, but as soon as i sprayed this dupe on me, i was sent back in time! Love it. And if course, so much miss the original.

I've tried most of the perfumes from the comments below that were supposed to be similar to Armani White, but I don't think they are. The most similar scent I've ever come across, I found today and am still testing it - J'ose Eisenberg!!!

I have some perfume left in the Armani White bottle (my heart doesn't let me use it up) and it's very close. However, keep in mind that this remnant is inevitably already different from what it was years ago, but still…

Try it and write what you think. I'm still debating whether the male or female is more Armani-like. I'm hesitant to buy them because they smell very faint on my hand and I feel like they're going to be super short-lived, which is going to be really disappointing because I really like them both. After Armani, I haven't liked any other perfume so much.

AnniRaissa

I'm wearing Versace Dylan Turquoise today for the first time and on my skin it reminds me a lot of Emporio Armani White For Her.

I used to like both Armani White & Diesel Plus Plus, and back when they were alive n easily available, they were not at all the same. White was clean musky sort of mildy spicy fresh, whereas Plus Plus was a smooth fluffy almost lactonic yet not quite thing, that smelled weirdly strongly delicate, like an idea of the sight of daisies (they don't have a scent) rendered into a smell synaesthesially. Plus Plus feminine was indeed ++femme, an incredibly girly scent, a kind of your skin but better, but quite a hard one to describe. Armani White it never was though, to me anyway. IF they smell alike now, it's probly because both are likely off/turned. Plus Plus the last time I tried to buy it smelled frankly like condoms. Which are not entirely unpleasant but not what I want to be spraying around me. Some Plus Plus is freshly made but fake I think.

LaBellaMaffia

As all my favourite perfumes are discontinued, I often go through comment section to see if anyone who’s sharing my grief has found replacement… now, finally, I have replacement to share.
Plus Plus Feminine Diesel is the most similar scent to Armani White I’ve ever came across. It is not complete “replica”, but it’s very very close, almost to the point. As soon as I smelled it, I thought of AW.
Hope this info helps. It would be interesting to see if others find it as I have (it’s been awhile since we all had a fresh bottle of White). I saw a lot of suggestions of citrusy scents, such as DG light blue and other fresh scents from that category, which I find nothing alike.

cvargasvega

If you like Armani White you should try Bvlgari Omnia Cristalline Eau de Toilette. It is not a dupe but they are similar, gives you the same Aura. Both from the master Alberto Morillas! Enjoy!

ArmaniWhite4eva

Maison Francis 724 smells like truck stop hand soap .. it’s nothing like I anticipated let alone like Armani white . I contacted Armani they suggested Acqua di gioia or light di gioia ..

ArmaniWhite4eva

Long time reader first time poster…
Has anyone tried Maison Francis 724 - the new one??
I’ve just ordered a sample and praying it’s similar to Armani white

perfumelou74

Does anyone find this fragrance similar to DG Light Blue Italian Love??

A.J.lamp

The watered-down version of this is the 4711 Lime & Nutmeg Cologne.

isabellerose

I just randomly tested Tory Burch - Knock on Wood.. and something in the dry down has a quality that reminded me of Armani - White, which, of course, made me like it. I still wish Armani would bring this perfume back.

childrensafe2013

Recently I was able to get two jars of this wonder that I missed so much, they are 50 ml. if anyone is interested to contact me as I will stay with one but I would like someone who has missed it as much as I can enjoy it.

anjusha

@momiken - the only perfume I found so far that kinda reminds me of Armani White is Shiseido Zen. Not all that similar, less sharp opening, not so musky/ creamy drydown but nontheless, it does have something in it that brings back the memories.

Siv7Stars

Thank you to Momiken below. I agree, I don't think Elie Saab's le parfum Essentiel resembles White at all either, nor Soleil Blanc nor Kenzo. White really was a thing apart, I so wish it would get reissued.

Momiken

I am sorry for having taken so long to make the update. As mentioned in my previous post I got an old bottle of Armani White off ebay, as well as samples of all the perfumes that were mentioned here as similar. I will start with the bottle of Armani itself. I have to say, that I am not sure if it aged well (as I remember it was already discontinued in 2009, so the bottle must be over 10 years old). What I remember from wearing it about 15 (sic!) years ago when I was in high school, was its fresh, citrusy-minty opening (a bit unpleasant in the very first few seconds, but quickly changing to just fresh and nice), and a comforting musky, creamy, powdery drydown, with the fresh notes only faintly there. As I smell it now, it has this one sharp floral note that I don't really remember (or at least I don't remember there being as much of it), and as it dries down, I sadly don't get much smell from it at all. I don't get the mint note at all, which if memory serves me, was more prominent before. I'd say mybe 10 mins after spraying it smells the most similar to the memory I have of it (but again, my memory could be off!).

When it comes to the samples I got, I will start with the complete misses! These are Ellie Saab Le Parfum Essentiel, and Kenzo Amour I love U. Both these are extremely floral, they have no fresh notes at all, and frankly, I don't know why anyone thought they're similar to Armani White! I guess I blame individual differences for this one (maybe for Parfum Essentiel it is the powdery drydown?)! I don't like floral perfumes, so I am not a fan of either of these two. Next one is Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. I have to say, I like this perfume, but I also don't think it is very similar to what I got in the Armani White bottle, nor what I remember of it. I can imagine, that it reminds people of the Armani White drydown though, as it is very creamy, and comforting (quite weird if you look at the actual notes!). Ok, maybe there is a bit of tinginess at the beginning, but it's different than that in Armani White. However it is definitely likeable (unlike its price). Creme de Cuir by BDK is less sweet than Soleil Blanc, and it does resemble Armani White, in that it indeed has a citrusy-peppery fresh opening, and a creamy, musky drydown. But, the big difference here is that it has that HUGE note of suede (the name really describes what it is - cream of leather), this note is almost tabbacoish, and very prominent, and thus kind of cancels its potential to be confused with Armani White. It is a very nice perfume though (unless someone does not like the smell of leather, which is a tricky one and can be overwhelming), and very lasting!!

So, unfortunately, to sum it up, there is not much optimism for Armani White lovers to find their beloved scent in these perfumes... However, I won't end this review entirely pessimistically - completely accidentally I have found another bottle that reminds me of the initial fresh notes of Armani White! It is Eisenberg Eau Fraiche (for men, but don't let that fool you, I have no clue why it's not marketed as unisex). It has a similar quality of fresh, citrusy, tingy opening. The main difference is that there is this ambery-resin-piny element (I believe the technical term might be coniferous?) to that which kinda reminds you of a pine forest, which is absent in Armani white. But I have to say, I need to smell them side by side to get that distinction. Sadly, Eisenberg Eau Fraiche has really poor longevity (when I wore it on one arm and Armani White on the other, it lasted maybe half the time that Armani did), and despite that if you look at the notes, they promise you a musky drydown, there is not really much of a drydown at all if you ask me (maybe the coniferous notes stay the longest). The perfume is quite overpriced too if I am to be entirely honest.

Still, I'd say that if you want something that resembles Armani White, get samples of BDK Creme de Cuir and Eisenberg Eau Fraiche pour Homme. Definitely don't blind buy an entire bottle of either (unless you sh*t money). See for yourself which notes are the one's you miss the most, and if you're fine with the added suede/coniferous notes. Actually, as I am writing this I just came up with the idea of mixing the two (haha, maybe I'll make another update about that in another 6 months :P)! If anyone else tries these, please let me know your thoughts!

P.S I recently grew unsure of the seller that I got the Tom Ford, Ellie Saab and Kenzo samples from (I got another sample from them last week, and it did not smell like the original perfume AT ALL). It could be that Tom Ford was a fake, that's why I did not get the citrusy bergamot notes from it at all. I got all my samples on-line, and did not try to smell these scents in an actual shop (i got them during lockdown). However, I got the other two from reliable sources - BDK from a niche perfumerie that I know is reliable, and I got a full bottle of Eisenberg in Sephora two years ago for my dad (he does not use it, so I stole it :P)

Momiken

So, after years of longing and yearning after this long discontinued parfume, which I used to wear in high school, I finally decided to get an old bottle of it on ebay (I somehow managed to get it at a slightly less crazy price than what it’s usually sold at). I also got testers for all the parfumes mentioned here as similar (Saab Essentiel, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, and Kenzo Amour I love U). I will be testing them over the next few days and will let you know what I think about their similarity. Stay tuned!

karlee79

I can smell it.....but it's gone in 20 mins !!!??? I don't know if I got a bad one and it's really old , or a fake but it was an eBay purchase , I think tommy_ girls review is spot on! just mine don't last and there's no coziness to it because it diess before that point, there's no way mine's real this has some heavy hitters like mint and clove, very distinct scents and I smell none, maybe a faint fig

fairyfart

I have good news...

I ordered a tester vial of Elie Saab Essentiel last week. Well, I ordered several testers because my perfume monster needs feeding even in an apocalypse. Don't judge.

Back to the tale...

So I was nonplussed at first spray.
Gave them all a sniff the next day and I was like OOOOHHHH!!!! *heart eyes emoticon* I recognise you.
Didn't click for a couple days but after about an hour on skin (longer on paper), Essentiel is very similar to Emporio White. That is, if memory serves. It's been a while! *eye roll emoticon*

Anyway...
If you're missing this beautiful old classic in a metal bottle, you should order yourself up a sample of Essentiel. It's got that whole contradictory pretty, soft, creamy, buttery, smooth, vanilla-y, white floral, clean, fresh, vintagey musk thing going on with it which is somehow both innocent cute but pure sex at the same time. IDK how TF they done it but done it they did.

EFF YEAH!!! *heart eyes emoticon x3*

You're welcome, BTWs.

Loved this perfume, never found anything close until now, Tom Ford Solei Blanc , expensive but worth it.

judith.l.ampatuan

My wedding perfume. Aromatic, musky, and woody. It's like being enveloped in warm and comfort. Silage is good. sadly they discontinued this.

TheheavenOudh

my friendly fragrance fanatics,

this month something wonderful happens.

I have found a scent that comes close to the smell armani white.
the armani white was favorite perfume in my younger years and when I smelled this again after long time i became crazy like a wild horse and I looked for the scent, from where this smell comes from,I did not know who was wearing it and i found one man ho use this scent. I asked you have a very good smell and he answer me it is ( zara black tag) the next day directly purchased and believe it or not, it really comes close to the armani white maybi for 60%.

it costs here in the zara in the netherlands € 19.95 ideal price for a eua the perfume that looks like an armani white.

tommy_girl

Before green bottle perfumes become trendy first in 2010s, armani made the breezy white.
White is like a mixture of those green bottles having been lauchned later: Versace Versense, Parlez moi d'amour eau fraiche, Chance eau fraiche and so on. So even though it's named white, I think it smells very green.
White (or green ;)) starts very alcoholic. So you should be patient for the vodka kind of accord to dry down to get to the pure citruses sour note. However there might be something wrong with my sample, which is quite old and caused such bizarre offensive beginning.
As time passes, white gets better and better. It has got the right amount of woody notes, fig leaf, ginger, fruits and flowers. you may imagine chance eau fraiche and wash the offensive masculine patchouli off to get something like white.
White is like a refreshing walk in the rain soaked leaves in the summer. It's not unique, but pretty enjoyable experience. Since it has been discontinued for years now, you have to look for alternatives, which are not hard to find in today's market.

Mayenaise

This is by far the best smelling fragrance for me. I wore this for 2 years straight! It was that great. Really sad they stopped making it. I would definitely be ecstatic if they bring this favorite back.

NewYorkLady2015

Hands down...this is the most beautiful fragrance I have ever worn. So sad it is discontinued. There is nothing which comes even remotely close.
Please bring it back!!!

Krasnylips

It is sexy and yet all is elegant and soft and bitter and butter, so young yet so mature.
I like this feeling of smoky notes that a high concentration of white flowers may give. In Songes there is a similar concept in my opinion.
Best white flower bouquet one may get.

adves87

Can someone please tell me when this perfume was discontinued???

perfumehopper_in_JPN

I loved this fragrance, the smell was milky, warmer, likes skin.
Now,this fragrance is hard to get it.

But finally I find similar fragrance.

Amour I Love U Kenzo for women'middle notes are similar,I think.

(If I don't have mistake Armani White and this fragrance. Those bottles are looks like same...)

PINNEAPLE

I love it!! So fresh , intense and at same time delicated smell it makes me feel fantastic wearing it...Like the idea of being my parfum for my working days.Thank god still have one bottle. Sad it was discontinued !!!

SillySue

Oh man how I miss this fragrance! It was such a beaut!
Used to be my signature around 2000 and it just fit me and my personality so extremely well. Such an easygoing laid back fragrance. Clean and pure. Just perfect. I want it back. Badly.

hbomb9410

I smell...heliotrope??? Where is that coming from? Maybe it's because I'm pregnant and I'm sure my chemistry is especially wonky right now, but I get zero citrus out of this, which is fine. I can take or leave citrus, and most of the time it doesn't last, anyway. For me, this fragrance goes straight to the base notes and stays there. Plenty of clean musk, a nice touch of elegant woods, and...heliotrope. Not listed in the notes, not mentioned by any other reviewers, but it's so clear to me. Vanillic, almond-y, and a bit powdery. I have a carded sample from a reliable source, so I know I'm smelling the right fragrance. Regardless, it's a lovely fragrance, appropriate year-round for work or casual daywear.

TD_123

Where did you get it from? I miss it so much..

dienn

Love love love it. Stil miss it :-(

I had this years ago. At the time, I would have classified this scent as "unisex". Easy to wear . I remember to be woody / aromatique on me . It was quite unique, great for daily wear with longevity . I am a nurse and could wear this fragrance at work without bothering my patients and / or co-workers. For all, be aware of your fragrance when visiting loves one at hospitals. Cheers !

amywamywoo

Perfect just out the shower scent, would be good for a scorching summer heat wave.
It's minty fresh, pure and innocent with a musky woody dry down.
Last time I wore this my sister told me I smelled ridiculously good!

Maringle

I want to sell mine- absolutely LOVE the smell but perfumes hold such a trigger of emotion for me, sends me back to a time I was newly in love and it didn't work out... To smell this is such a conflict of emotions! Smells good though :(

CeciliaKu

This fragrance is like a warm blanket, I feel safe and comforted by its scent. Just like stepping out of the shower, Emporio Armani White leaves you feeling refreshed and clean.

The mild citrus top notes are what initially makes you feel so revitalised. The scent is soft and subtle making it perfect for those warmer months and casual outings. The heart is quite interesting. For some strange reason I sense milky notes. The drydown is quite obviously very musky, yet in some ways it could be described as being sensual and desirable. The lasting power was great.

nikkibom

When this perfume was widely available I never even thought to try it. Since it became discontinued and looking at all the positive reviews, I decided to get my hands on a 100ml tester bottle that was available. Smells like lemon sherbot sweets of the 70s - that is first thing that comes to my mind. Original at least, cannot compare to anything else from a bottle.

Butter

I adore this perfume & was really disappointed when i new that is discontinued and not produced anymore :( .Anyway this perfume makes you feel fresh, feminine & cheerful as well.I made me feel my self to a very great extent.

betsyroa

really love the scent but Ebay sellers are putting up a really high price for this... really rare item.
received lots of compliments from both men and women.
suits my body chemistry. really great for tropical climate.

Lupita Vargas

It's my favorit, I have two

evgenia80

It was my signature when I was in my early twenties. A perfect perfume for a perfect period of my life...I replaced it with light blue and I didn`t repurchaged it again. I `ve just realised that it has been discontinued and that I won`t have the chance to wear this again ...It`s a pity because it has a sentimental value for me. My college years in a bottle!

gelyn

Did anyone find a good substitute for this?

BRING BACK ARMANI WHITE bootifull and clean - enough said!

evhely

They must be out of head!!! I really can't imagine what Armani were thinking when they decided to stop producing White. This smell so perfect!

DRIDINadjiba

It is the one, the last, my everything.....

Sova_Sovinishna

ladyj170382, you just wrote my thoughts! I miss this scent so much! Let's make a t-shirts "Re-manuafacture it and make us happy once more!"

paula.lopes.54390

I think it reminds me 212 Men... I am going crazy?! I love and miss it so much I´m allucinating!

ladyj170382

7 years later I still hold this as my signature scent. WOW! Really miss it! They need to re-manuafacture it and make us happy once more.

lassmichdich

i loved it when i had it long ago. would be great to revisit and compare present to memory... i don't assume this will happen though, also cause i somehow think that fragrance is prone to turning bad more quickly.

ankeamin

I miss it so much :(

savchenkonadezhda

Yeah, it's a greatest fragrance ever!!! I am eagerly looking for a replacement! I've ordered Sarah Connor's perfume from the German Ebay, someone told me it' similar...

Objektiv

Yes, maybe we should write to Armani!
I am missing it too, sooo much!!!
Nothing to compared with...

Lalunia

I miss it too, sometimes I think will write a letter to Armani to please bring it back! that was also my best fragrance, why o why?

mikee101

This is by far the best fragrance I ever wore. Not too sweet, such a lovely scent! I remember going around the perfume stores in Australia in 2008 just to find one but it was already discontinued back then! How i wish that this fragrance shall relaunched again soon!

Noppaliini

This was so soft and lovely. I miss it.

catonroof

try her favourite things-they do a discontinued beauty product search, and found a bottle of this for me!

dang28

i wish armani would sell this again... truly in love with it.

ancalimon

This was one of the best ever. Can we not kidnap someone of the Armani-clan and force them to produce this again??

ALaM

Probably my first favourite fragrance when I was about 12 or 13. I miss it! It was as fresh and invigorating as it was mysterious and captivating. It's so hard to even remember the scent but I remember how it made me feel. I'd love to have it again for the sake of nostalgia, at least. I don't know if I'd like it now. I don't know WHY this was discontinued.

anjusha

I had it since 2002... Then they started with Red edition. In the last store I found it when I realized Armani is not producing it anymore - I bought all they had - and I still have one small bottle unopened. I really have no idea what to do when I spend it all. It is a great perfume for all seasons, all times of a day, classroom, job interviews, professional meetings, shopping... I will miss it like crazy...

monimasch

I really loved this one. So sad it is no longer produced...

sofababe

This is delicious stuff indeed. I can't get enough of this fresh, clean minty juice, with the softest woody dry down. I'm surprised there's no vanilla listed, or cashmir. This is fruity at the top, and just gets better and better the longer its on my skin. The longevity is outstanding, it lasts all day on me and the sillage is decent too. I really can't imagine what Armani were thinking when they decided to stop producing White.

MsRachael

Cleanly lovely, the olfactory equivalent of looking out on a fresh snowfall. Deliciously, softly green, with the mint, ginger and cassia taking center stage, at least on me. A purifying quick-fix for those that may have something to feel guilty about.

glamrose

I feel so clean and fresh with this scent. It is the only citrusy scent that fits me to a T. I love wearing this anytime of the day, in the evening, at work, even in bed!

donniekaterina

This perfume starts out at my skin really sweet then after a few minutes settles down a really woody feeling that gives you the impression of smelling pheromones

clairdelune

I bought this blind based on the interesting list of notes, but on me they didn't manifest like I'd hoped. I found the mint to be too dominant, giving the opening sort of a toothpaste effect. I couldn't get beyond it. 'Minty-fresh' is great if you're talking about mouth wash, but it didn't work for me in perfume.

lat

I think this is the greatest smell ever. Period. Can't even argue with me about it, to me this is perfume heaven. Clean, simple, yet not bland. Fresh, but longlasting. Spicy and feminine. My friends laugh at me that I just love to smell of water or paper. That might be true, but on my skin this is perfection. I have a tendency to boost the warm notes, so this one is definitely more silky in the dry down that it would be on others. It's not for everyone, I can understand for most it's too sharp and too masculine maybe.
Luckily for those who share my skin type, Emporio Armani White exists. It's my signature smell, I don't believe it'll ever change.

Adriana_87

I dont like it at all, very very sour.It just doesnt work on skin at all makes you wanna wash it of.The mint makes it very sharp and it starts to feel medical..

VCTRCSTL

I want to have it as well due to good reviews. Unfortunately, I can't find one. I even ordered from my perfume supplier but to no avail..haaayy..sayang naman.

missk

White is the perfect name for this fragrance. The colour white although basic and plain, is the symbol of innocence and peace, a shade that can be blended to create lighter colours and neutral enough to make one feel clean and secure.

This perfume for me is like a warm blanket, I feel safe and comforted by its scent. Just like stepping out of the shower, Emporio Armani White leaves you feeling refreshed and clean.

The mild citrus top notes are what initially makes you feel so revitalised. The scent is soft and subtle making it perfect for those warmer months and those casual outings.

The heart is quite interesting. For some strange reason I sense vanilla and milky notes which reminds me of Diesel Plus Plus Feminine.

The drydown is quite obviously very musky, yet in some ways it could be described as being sensual and desirable. The lasting power, in my opinion, was great. It lasted a very long time on my skin. I highly recommend.

Princess

This is a unique fragrance. Pure and clean. Like cotton :P I remember this fragrance on my best friend, back in 2001 when I did not use fragrance. I remember i thougt she smelled soooo good.

rooa

I love it too, it's so fresh, misterious and sexy!

vertigo

white simple shirts and linen shorts dried in the white sun.

Fresh and green, energetic, awakening.
At the beginning a bit tart and modest, then becomes sensual.
A scent with a distinct personality.

coco76

ok, so i have to add to my review; i love this perfume!! a few hours after i put it on, i kept noticing a pleasant smell...and realized it was my arm! the dry down on this is just GORGEOUS, with the most translucent musk and woods smell. i put it on again today to make sure i was not imagining it, and i am definetly not imagining it! i would really like to add this sexy, confident smell to my fragrance wardrobe.

coco76

this is a very interesting smell...something about it reminds me of saunas, something woody. i'm not exactly sure what i feel about this fragrance, its intriguing thats for sure. very green, and woodsy at the same time. interesting.

Marianne

Wow! This was love at first smell! When I smelled it on a strip of paper, I couldn't get it out of my mind. The description (like fresh cotton) fits quite well although cotton doesn't smell like that. I wouldn't call it a white scent, especially the top note is quite greenish. There must be some synthetic ingredients because you can't make such a perfume out of natural essences. Sorry, but I'm quite bad at describing scents, so please try it out!
