O de L'Orangerie by Lancôme is a Floral fragrance for women. O de L'Orangerie was launched in 2011. Top notes are African Orange Flower, Citruses, Orange and Bergamot; middle note is Jasmine; base notes are Virginia Cedar and Benzoin.

In Spring 2011, Lancome will present the new successor to the legendary fragrance Lancome O de Lancome from 1969. O de Lancome received its jubilant edition last year - O d'Azur - on the occasion of fragrance's 40th anniversary.

O de L`Orangerie is an homage to orange blossom and creates the fragrant experience of a walk in a French garden in spring. As in the previous advertising campaign, the new perfume is advertised by Daria Werbowy. Delicate white orange blossoms on bright green trees bloom around her in the photo, alluding at spring and the awakening of nature. The fragrant composition is based on orange blossom created on citrusy-aromatic chords.

Top notes carry the essence of the composition with skillfully accentuated accords of orange blossom absolute and citrusy zests. The heart intoxicates with aromas of orange blossom and white jasmine, while a soft and sophisticated base of cedar and benzoi support the theme of this edition.

The flacon of the new fragrance has the same shape as last year's edition - O d'Azur, created of relief light green glass. If you enjoy the shade of orange tree, the designers of this fragrance suggest trying these alluring and optimistic aromas.

Can I find it in Berlin?

LuckyDay27

I have tried to like this one but I just don’t. At first spray it is nice, it’s the dry down that I get to the point I just can’t stand it. I can’t even really describe why I don’t like it but it’s just not for me.

pakhomovao

It seems that it was discontinued. Such a pity, it was a great perfume: uplifting, compliments getter. Perfect perfume for summer.

OlgaOT

I’m probably late to the party but has this one been discontinued?

HennaQueen

Orange blossoms...yes, but more lime and bergamot to my nose. Tangerine as well. The jasmine is light and gentle in the background. I do love this but I wish that the perfumer chose sandalwood instead of cedar as the woody base note. I am wearing this today on a colder, rainy Chicagoland Sunday evening and it is just what the doctor ordered.

One of my favourites, being a fan of fresh, summery fragrances in particular, orange blossom and citrus notes. O de L'orangerie is a stunning combo of soft, orange blossom notes with fresh, clean citrusy top notes, feminine and fresh, not sweet, just perfect to take you through the summer. Love this as a holiday fragrance for warm climates.

LOST_HORIZON

Lancome Orangerie is the perfect perfume for a hot and sunny summer.

It is a divine sensation of freshness walking among the orange trees in broad daylight. It is, at least from my perception, quite feminine and also has elegant details such as jasmine and cedar that give it more weight to be used on occasions from informal to something elegant, because it is not only refreshing for its sparkling citrus output.

Very suitable for holidays, when the skin is tanned and the dresses are flowing and flowing, it is a summer luxury from Lancôme

One of my favourite fragrances. I often try something new, but after some time I always get back to this perfume... O De L´Orangerie has a special charm for me. Some people can smell lots of flowers, but for me it is very fresh and clean scent. And I must say I am not into typical floral scents. I just fell in love with this one. It's perfect for spring and summer.

SanjuktaB

This is my go to summer fragrance that takes me back to a summer vacation in the Amalfi coast. It performs well in extremely hot and humid weather too (think upwards of 30 degrees celsius) . Its like smelling some orange blossom flowers dipped in a bowl of citrus. My only complaint is that this goes into the musky stage too quickly but if you want to stand out from the crowd who all wear D&G's Light Blue or Light Blue Intense in summer , then this could be a good choice as it does have decent lasting power(4hours) on me. I got a 125 ml bottle at like 60 euros so its a bargain buy.

Mystery Elixir

I'm usually not a really a citrus fan but wanted to give this one a try (partially because I love the bottle not gonna lie) so I got a sample. And I am very confused. I barely got any citrus. The opening was a sweet mostly white floral, with maybe some far away citrus. But after about 20/30 minutes this became a complete sunscreen scent on me! (Maybe something is up with the sample) It strongly reminded me of a lighter and sweeter version of Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. I have no idea where in the notes this came from (maybe the honeysuckle/cedar/benzoin?). I have tried O de L'orangerie before at a perfume store and remember getting a very strong orange scent from it on the test paper.

I was expecting low performance on the sillage and longevity but I was actually pleasantly surprised as these were both reasonable, though not amazing. I sprayed it on around 11 am and got some sillage from it for a couple of hours, though by around 4/5 pm it was gone.

Am still considering getting a full bottle though it'll be a mystery whether that bottle will lean sunscreen or orange on me.

Majo23

This is my mom's favourite scent, I guess that's why it holds and important place in my heart. But it's not only the emotional side that makes me like it but, of course, the fragrance itself is exquisite.
Orange blossom is key, it's crispy, zesty and mild-sweet. Sort of a pick me up that makes your summer day brighter — highly refreshing and invigorating.

I think it's simple, but calming, sometimes you just don't need more.

CKS

What a gem! I simply love its complex delicate structure. It is fresh yet floral, happy and elegant, everything I am looking for.

DieT CroaK

This is a nearly perfect perfume in my opinion. With that being said, I gravitate towards soapy, citrusy, clean, fresh, and green fragrances. This one checks all of those boxes. Sometimes I have a hard time properly describing a perfume. The name alone of this fragrance trips me up. Let me try to do it justice...

O de L’orangerie is the quintessential embodiment of a spring fragrance for me. The crispness of the orange, bergamot, jasmine, and wood just comes together so perfectly. It fits the current vibe in my country right now when the haze of winter is finally relenting, daylight is lasting longer and nature is resuscitated back to life with vibrancy. So many people have reviewed that this performs even better in the heat. I can’t wait to wear this in the humidity. I have a feeling it’s going to be amazing.

I have two other perfumes that are similar to L’orangerie currently in my collection. Those being Bottega Veneta’s Knot and Dior’s Pure Poison. More so Knot than Poison but they could all be in the same family. While I really love them all and I believe they are distinctive enough to justify owning all three, I think L’orangerie is the most beautiful. It’s a little lighter, sparklier, and lusher than the other two. I am really surprised to see that this one lacks neroli because I swear I can detect it. And yes, this one is SOAPY. To my nose, it’s like a female version of Irish Spring.

Now, two things that irks me about this perfume and strips it of holy grail status:

LONGEVITY:
I was watching a YouTuber by the name of Shana J (who I absolutely love) and she did a video titled, “7 Awesome Fragrances That Don’t Last!” I had been putting off buying this perfume for a while and even though it was featured in this video, her reaction sold me! She smells it and goes nuts because it’s that stunning. However, she updated later in the comments section confirming that it doesn’t last. I have seen other reviews on here corroborating that. Now, this perfume is in no way the weakest by a long shot. It does have some longevity and it projects well. I can still smell it lingering four to six hours afterward. I went to run errands this morning and it was still there by the time I started cooking dinner. It could be entirely possible that I go anosmic after a while. That seems to happen with a lot of fragrances. Let’s be real, I don’t actually need this to last for 8+ hours. This is but a mere gripe.

AVAILABILITY:
Like I said, I waited a while to go ahead and purchase this one. This has been discontinued for years and it’s becoming nearly impossible to find a decently priced bottle. They are sold out everywhere. I should kick myself for not buying a 4.2 FL Oz off of Fragrancenet a year ago for $65. Now, even the 2.5 FL Oz’s are selling for upwards of $100. Also, make sure that if you are trying to buy this perfume that you don’t accidentally order the original O de Lancôme or the Azure version because all of the boxes look almost identical. It looks like we will be saying goodbye to this beauty forever soon.

This is honestly a delightful composition. I really am sad to see that it’s going extinct. True, there are a multitude of other similar fragrances on the market but in the short time I have owned it, I reach for it constantly. I consider it the cream of the crop among all of the “freshies” I own. The bottle is BEAUTIFUL. It reminds me of my once much loved Oui. This is a flanker of Oui but actually, I prefer this one!!! I have been trying to cut down on buying more perfume but I had to buy a backup immediately. I really don’t want to run out of it.

I really think anyone could wear this. There’s something timeless about it. It does lean more feminine but the ultimate destination here is clean. I feel like it’s unisex also. The dry down doesn’t scream, “I AM WEARING PERFUME, EVERYBODY!!!!!!” It just suggests that you had a productive day where you just did 6 loads of laundry and indulged in a bath where you scrubbed yourself from head to toe for an hour.

zgeco

Citrusy-flowery. Joyous. The opening is a bit loud, tough.. Not heavy. Unobtrusive..

I recommend it for march and april months, the time orange trees blossom in the mediterrean region.. Daytime wear, everyday frag. Too light for evening and occasion wear, unless attending an openair country side event.

Somewhat linear, uncomplex, pleasant. However to a trained nose, I dont think it is a masterpiece.

For weeks now I have been looking for a honeysuckle, Mediterranean scent to cheer me up through lockdown and transport me to the cobbled streets and shaded palms of Sicily on a hot sunny evening. Not that I ask for much.

To my surprise, however, I blind-bought this perfume and it 100% delivered. My favourite place on the planet is Northern Italy, and one spritz of this scent instantly took me back to Lake Garda. It's as though Lancome bottled exactly what I smell when I am over there and take a deep inhale, wishing I lived there.

The combination of orange and jasmine is prominent, both on the drydown and throughout the day. They combine to deliver the most delicious honeysuckle scent - it smells only like the type of flowers that open up on the hottest days of the year.

The sillage is great without being overbearing, and it will last for a good seven hours. As the day/evening wears on, I noticed the perfume cools down a little - almost as though when the evening scent of Italy changes as it becomes night time. Just as pleasant, but slightly less sweet.

Overall, this perfume is feminine, exotic, sophisticated and floral, without being cloying. I also think it's ageless; I'm 28 and adore it, but I can imagine this suits anybody of any age. I feel like a glamorous Mediterranean belle when I wear it - it pairs perfectly with an Aperol spritz in hand and a crisp white summer dress.

I'm so glad I found this - what a score!

Fresh, green, stunningly gorgeous citrus scent. It reminds me of trips to Florida when I was a little girl and we would stroll through orange groves breathing in the sweetly-scented air and drinking orange juice straight from the fruit. This is a nostalgic scent hearkening back to simpler, more elegant times. To brides bedecked in orange blossoms, to lazy days under a hot Florida sun, to unadulterated elegance and refinement. Buy your copy now because I think it has been discontinued. Agree with LawmaLlama that this is the orange counterpart to D&G Light Blue, but it's much higher quality.

LawmaLlama

Truly an underrated summer scent. Flies under the radar. Beautiful orange and white floral combination. The dry down is where this EDT stands out in a crowd. It is long lasting. I see this as the orange counterpart to the lemony summer favorite that is D&G Light Blue, which I love, don't get me wrong. Only, this is a more unique and an even classier stunner.

what is this I don't even

A lovely green orange flower on a bed of white florals. More orange peel than traditional orange blossom courtesy of all the citrus components. Not particularly sparkling or refreshing to me; rather it has a richer and more complex feel to it. Very lovely.

bianca_11106

This is such a great fragrance for summer!

It opens citrusy but after a few minutes it turns more floral.
This has the perfect amount of everything, I think it's very well balanced; it's a bit soapy and clean but has a warm feel to it, it has lovely white florals but it's not heavy or thick , it's citrusy but not screechy or sharp in any way.

It's delicate, elegant and feminine and I really enjoy wearing it.

muge

Amazing! One of the best clean but not too soapy citrus but not too herbal , best balanced citrus scents ever. My perpetual longing for summer days. It lingers so delightfully. Give it a try if you enjoy citrus scents.

zoranna

The first 30 minutes of this is a delight, for I love warm but fresh citrus scents with orange. The second stage is clean, fresh and soapy. Regrettably for me it dries down to a heady white floral, and florals aren't my 'thing'.

Jacquis

In the Summer when most people are ernestly searching for a long lasting, fresh, citrus forward perfume, Lancome O de L'orangerie is the one. The beauty of this perfume comes out when the temps hit 90F and above. The piercing citrus screams "No ma'am!" as it battles the heat and humidity and delivers its freshness.

Lancome O de L'orangerie is a staple in my high heat summer rotation. It lasts greater than 12 hours on me and softens to a beautiful citrus Jasmin floral after about 6 hours. It is fresh, modern and vibrant. Any age appropriate but I would reserve it for very high heat in summer.

amtmte

Another reviewer made reference to the masculine, and I agree. Masculine, old lady. Washed it off as quickly as I could.

churinl

Thanks to one of my Fragrantica friends, I was able to try this lovely and refreshing scent! I now own a full bottle. The initial burst of orange/citrus seems as if it is frozen and though there is no vanilla, it calls to my mind an orange creamsicle!! If I didn't look at the notes, I would have sworn that it had aldehydes, lending the frozen, ozonic character. I found it to be very interesting and I liked it quite a bit. Soon, the jasmine sweeps in - a clean jasmine for sure - as does the orange blossom, establishing the link from the opening to the middle. My skin amps the jasmine more than the orange blossom, but it is there and also very clean. I don't get any cedar or woodsy notes, but I do sense just a trace of benzoin, which I find an interesting choice for a base note in such a light fragrance. It works! I don't know who the nose is behind this fragrance, if Lancome has their own in house team, or if they use an unknown name from one of the big aromachemical companies, but whatever the case may be, they have done a wonderful job creating something far greater than the sum of its parts. I can not wait for the warm weather to start so I can experience it under the conditions it was clearly meant to shine in.

EDIT 5/12/20 - My full bottle arrived today. Did I mention that I LOVE THIS???? How anybody can rudely call this "old lady" is beyond me, as it is so light and refreshing.

Anamandy

An orange blossom and Jasmine citrus fragrance that smells clean and fresh. While the jasmine is a little indolic to me, it isn't offensive because it is off set by the citrus, which smells more like the peel and is not as sharp as straight citrus juice. While predominantly an orange blossom fragrance, and that along with the citruses are the first notes you'll smell, the jasmine soon became very prominent on my skin. It's a heady jasmine, almost like a lighter version of the jasmine that's in Alien, but greatly tempered by the other notes. Still, I feel like it's chomping at the bit to come out and expand. Something tells me this is going to happen in the heat of the summer. I can't wait because I think the jasmine and orange blossom in this smells wonderful now. I can only imagine how great it is going to smell then.

pennyligeia

When I bought this, I was a bit put off... It was raining the first time I wore it in late spring and it was a little too sharp to suit me, not very pleasant.
Now it's August in the sweltering, Louisiana heat, and it's perfect. I get a lot of lemon for the first hour, which I like "OK." After it settles, it's this clean, fresh, inoffensive, summer fragrance that can be worn anywhere, anytime. It makes you feel fresh and clean, even after a long day at work, when you catch a passing whiff of it.

flowerscent

lovely summer scent , I can detect some linden scent. I really like it . it is soft and has good longevity. Perfect for any age and any occasion.

emilianods75

Lovely and summery scent. Classy orange flower scent. I love it. Staying power is medium to weak but I love to wear it went I finish my morning showers.

lydia fors

Spring in a bottle. I have always liked orange blossom and the freshness of this one. I have a backup bottle, in case if Lancome decides to discontinue it.

It's pretty long lasting for the concentration. When I think it's gone, it just settles close to the skin. I can easily catch the whiff, when I workout in the evening and my body warms up a bit. It's simple, airy, green and just perfect for a warm, spring day. Love it.

Jacquis

Beautiful summer fragrance that is very cooling to my skin. The first burst is orange blossom and citrus followed soon after by slightly sweet floral (Jasmine). This perfume wears very well in the high Florida heat. Projection and sillage are moderate. Longevity is decent since I did not have to reapply during the day. Good quality perfume. Good summer staple.

perfumeaddiction

Oh what a score. I totally agree this is Miss Dior Cherie Leu 110% I have just a smidge of Dior left so I am over the moon to have found this. As safe as can be and pleasant as well.

Tussa

It was blind buy as a present, and after trying it, oh what a nice surprise. It is really not just another citrus scent, jasmine is more dominant. It is gentle but mature, clean and worm, so well balanced with nothing to bothered my nose. I guess it is not wow perfume, but after first sniff I thought i have to have it too.

Smellslikequeenspirit

O de L'Orangerie is a fresh, light floral that's sweet but not cloying. It wears well in humidity, making it a good choice for high Summer. The orange blossom and jasmine are the most obvious notes to my nose, as well as the soft cedar in the base. It's a fragrance suited to easy, daytime wear and can be found for a great price at various online stores.

kerion

I don't own many florals as I am usually a gourmand girl however.. this is so sweet with Orange and honey wafting in the air. The first time I wore this a stranger told me " You smell like Spring". It is a keeper.

mashafelixyasha

I love white florals and orange blossom is probably my favourite. Bought a large sample of this based on the description and reviews, I thought I definitely found a winner! But no. My nose reads a strange ozonic note (maybe the cedar?) that is unpleasant and overpowering. To me, it does not at all smell like fresh flowers, or refreshing at all. Just goes to show how much variation there can be in how different people perceive scents.

crea11

Ahhh, this is orange blossoms floating in a glass of lemonade.

sibaraa

Fresh oranges and a jasmine bouquet layed on a cedar, benzoin bed, buried under the salty beachy sands. and suddenly a fresh breeze pushed by the ocean lifts it up, and there comes O de l'orangerie. One of the best citruses in the world. I'm in love!

Violet_Rose

This is certainly all about orange blossom. The citrus notes are not of lemon or lime, to my nose, but of blood oranges and mandarins.

Aquatic in its make-up, to me. Very orange blossom tree by the coast. I can almost taste the sea salt in the air when wearing this.

I holidayed in the South of France as a child, and this reminds me of then. There is something from the 80's in this scent too, even though devised later. Related to Calyx maybe.

Lille Rosse

Very pretty citrus start and even prettier honeysuckle dry-down on me. I know that there is no honeysuckle note in L'Orangerie but it is somehow all I can smell on my skin. Simple but I really like it.

After using it for a week decided to buy a bottle for my mother in law, who happens to love fresh perfumes. She says this is her new favorite scent.

I am surprised that it has strong sillage and longevity is definitely over average. Quite unusual for such a summer-fresh scent. Wonderful for sunny days.

kati77

I like it a lot, one of very, very few orange blossom / neroli scents i like and can wear. There is so many perfumes i can't stand cuz the note of orange blossom / neroli is intensiv and dominant.
In there you can find citruses and flovers working togther to a fresh effect. Summer in a bottle. For hot weather amazing.

cottoncandyanddaydreams

I bought this mainly because of the discontinued Miss Dior Cherie L’eau with the hopes of it being an identical twin Lancome O de L’Orangerie.

It is a zesty citrus fragrance, good for the summer and the hot weather. However when I compared it side by side on both my arms to MDC Leau, on initial spray it is quite similar. Hello, Orange Blossom! But the difference lies in the dry down. Orangerie is sharper and more citric on my skin at least. At times it can be soapy. The jasmine and benzoin is quite prominent making it more unisex compared to MDC Leau which is sweeter and more feminine. Sillage is stronger with Orangerie but lacks in longevity compared to the later. In summary head to head: Jasmine vs Gardenia.

Having big expectations on this one as the long lost identical twin; sadly it is only a cousin of MDC Leau. Don’t get me wrong but Orangerie can stand out on its own also making a name for itself.

LoveJoy22

Wrapped in Comfort:

This opens with an exhuberant burst of fizzy lemon lime soda, orange blossom, and cotton! It mellows like the comfort of a warm fluffy towel that has been washed in a creamy citrus fabric softener!

Eaugirlspirit

Lovely crisp morning air wafts the smell of dew drop covered orange blossoms through the breeze. Fresh. Has a unisex feel to it although it bursts with delicacy in its floral sheerness.

When I received this , I could not remember ordering this online ! I thought maybe I was going for O de Lancôme, and not O de L` ORANGIE (?).
Looking at my order history, I did indeed order, and had been looking for a spring like frag , I like the notes listed when I researched further on Fragrantica , ( before I sprayed ) so I was not entirely worried.
On first spritz , I experienced a blast of citrus , and a very unisex scent .
I thought " Oh no! Please not a CK One ! "
Calvin Klein frags do not work on me , not CK One, not Eternity, not any I have worn, or tested.
I was very pleased that quickly, after the initial spray , O de L` Orangie morphed into a slightly spicy, balsam-y floral with a squirt of citrus.
Very elegant , with a certain air about it .
Natural sweetness from flowers of jasmine and orange blossom.
Still green , fresh, cedar gives it that cleanliness, yet the resin earths it.
I see this worn casually, and special occasion in the spring months.
This is the only Lancôme fragrance I own at this time , and will experiment more with Lancôme.

AllieT

A sweet, fresh, light scent much more subtle and more feminine than her extrovert sister O de Lancome, and I smell less citrus. To me a very green scent, slightly woody with a gorgeous blend of jasmine, honey and orange blossom offering the sweetness. Not at all overpowering but gently envelops with good staying longevity. Sophisticated and fresh as a warm summer rain shower.

KleineLeopardin

Ah, the wonderful, crisp freshness of O de l'Orangerie! For me this scent is not only a very close call to the sadly discontinued Miss Dior Chérie l'eau and a must for hot days. It is a clean, happy, very feminine scent for all ages. It is also a dream come true - wearing it I feel fresh at least half a day even during the hottest heat of summer. On top of that, I feel as if dancing through a wonderful green park, listening to a music that mysteriously appears out of nowhere. While writing this, I realize this sounds very much like Mary Poppins, and indeed, I am pretty sure Miss Poppins would wear a fragrance just like this one when having picnics with her sweetheart. Just like her, it's practically perfect in every way.

alexisx

Extraordinarily summery, is a fragrance that brings you back to the Provence countryside, where the flowers of zagara and neroli dominate the surrounding environment. Good longevity is also good

meliecat

Orange flower, citruses, and at the very end - acacia honey! It` a really pleasant scent for summer, not too sweet, not too flowery, just perfect, it comes out great in the summer weather too, very easy to wear, lot simpler composition than the original O de Lancome. It sits just right on the skin and you`ll give nobody a headache, instead you`ll get loads of compliments from everyone!

pavi_ne

What a lovely surprise! First it didn't impress me on the blotter at all. Just a fresh/citrusy/soapy/clean scent, one of so many similar. I was hungry for a prominent orange blossom and the sales lady convinced me to try it on my skin .... boy am I glad she did!

The fragrance needs about 5 to 10 minutes to evolve into the most beautiful and delightful floral amazingness. Let me just say that normally I very strongly dislike jasmine. It is probably just a cultural thing but smelling jasmine always makes me think of toilets. Clean and rather nice but still, toilets. I can't believe that I so adore the jasmine in this. Non-indolic, sweet, uplifting, simply gorgeous. A touch of cedar and benzoin in the base deepens the scent beautifully. The longevity is excellent and projection just right.

If you are looking for a good mood in a bottle, this is it.

stelladoro

I bought this lovely when it was first introduced. Love the citrusy quality balanced with the refreshing base of cedar and benzoin. So well blended and well balanced. On my skin it starts out a bright citrus, then softens as the orange blossoms bloom, and bloom and bloom. As it fades away, after about eight or nine hours on my skin, the benzoin leaves behind a light velvety wake. I wear it when the weather is HOT and it's such a beautiful pick-me-up. Sillage is a beautiful trail of floating blossoms that gets more notice than any of my other scents. I have to give it a '5'. I can catch a slight similarity to Jesus del Pozo's 'In White' but, to me, this doesn't smell at all similar to 'Alien' or any of its flankers. And I love 'Alien Sunessence', 'Alien' and 'Alien Absolue'.
'O de la Orangerie' is a beauty like no other.

arwenamin983

This perfume is a refreshing combination of sweet and fresh. Usually fresh fragrances are a bit dry and faint but this one has the personality and joie de vivre of a tree in full bloom in spring. It's vibrant, refreshing, and just sweet enough to have a full body. The citrus notes the sweetness come together to form an almost gourmand impression. It's delicious and invigorating. It's a happy smell that keeps its character to the end. It never becomes flat like other citruses and the flowery note makes it unique. At the same time, it never becomes really sweet; it's perfectly balanced.

The notes of orange blossom, bergamote, and benzoin blend wonderfully to create this romantic, dreamy fragrance. Jasmine and cedar are mostly there by filling the back of the stage. For an EDT, it's quite long lasting, especially if applied generously. The projection is quite good as well. It's never a risky fragrance even if you put on a lot. Some say that it smells like you're in an orange orchard. That is not so, the smell is much better. There is no prickly smell of orange peel and the sweeter, flowery notes remind of a perfume shop, maybe one that's on the coast of Italy. If you're wearing it in the summer, do so with a classic white dress with black dots, a silk scarf, and large sunglasses. Also drive a convertible if possible. If you're wearing it in the winter, it will surely remind you of the warmth of the Mediterranean sun, but the gentle one in May rather than the one at the heart of summer.

Seducianne

Really lovely summer fragrance and my favorite one for that season. Smells youthful and fresh, but it's not your typical bubbly teenager perfume. The citrus is very classy, even though I personally would've preferred it to have a slightly stronger white flower mix, since I have the perception that it gets slightly sour on my skin. It stays rather close to the skin and it's a very calming and clean scent to me.

seagreen55

Unfortunately for me, this does not agree with my nose. All I smell is heavy orange blossom and it's way too much for me. If anyone is interested in this please message me. It is a 4.2 ounce bottle of EDT and is otherwise brand new.

aldineas86

Just one thing to say: It is IDENTICAL to Miss Dior Cherie L'eau. I mean really IDENTICAL.
The only slightly difference is the abscence of the creaminess from gardenia. But you almoust don't notice that.
IDENTICAL I said.

annaa16

I got a mini edt bottle to try it out, cause I liked the sound of it when I read about it online. When I first smelled it all I got was citrus/lemon, almost in a cleaner/detergent kind of way, which was overwhelming and slightly off-putting at first. I put it on anyways hoping it would develop and get a bit more depth. After a few minutes on the skin it turns into a really pretty jasmine on me. It's basically straight jasmine with a hint of orange and sweetness in it. Definitely green. And it almost goes a bit powdery at the end.

On me it wears for around 4 hours. Unfortunately, it still smells a little bit soapy to me throughout the whole time, and I usually stay clear of soapy scents. It's not terrible, but I won't be purchasing a full bottle of this.

Love this for Summer. It reminds me of a scent made about 40years ago called 'Fleurs Fraiches' by Revlon I think. Of course smells are a personal thing but both of them seem to awaken something in my brain that's a memory of happy Summer gardens, me in a white muslin dress with a bow. We don't grow oranges in the Uk outdoors but they were grown in sun filled conservatories together with herbs and other aromatic plants outside. There's no staying power as such just a scent that's a few moments for yourself, a relief from heat and sun in one's room before going back out to guests with a smile and a tray of tea.

Fantastic scent for extremely hot weather. I think this is suitable for holidays in expensive tropical resorts because it's fresh but not cheap. You can wear it day or night. It's high pitched jasmine, lemonade dose and that expensive perfume vibe, sort of camphor you get from Givenchy perfumes like Ange Ou Demon Le Secret or Very Irresistible.

FabulouslyLazy

Adorable, adorable, adorable! If you love oranges and citrus fruit in general, you can't help falling in love with this perfume. It's a citrus-based fragrance but it's not an aggressive citric scent. It's very bright, sparkling and clean. The only flaws are lasting power and projection - Ô de l' Orangerie is very soft and I really wish it lasted longer. Lingers on clothes, though.

If you have migraine, stay away from this perfume. I bought it directly from Lancôme, so no foul play was involved. Apparently, it has some ingredient that triggers migraine attack. Smell is soapy- shampoo- something from my youth 1980-s, lingers forever. As one reviewer wrote - revolting - that is how it smells to me. Since it reminds me of my youth, I wanted to love it so badly. Applied 5 times months apart. Same response.... Pity. I will stick with my favorite d'Azur. I wonder what ingredient can trigger such a strong reaction. Any ideas?

i love lancome. The first time i tried O de l'Orangerie i felt for it.It's fresh, definitely a spring/summer fragrance. At the beginning it is very fruity on my skin but after it settles, becomes fresh and sweet. It reminds me of summer time and sunny beaches.

LuScentinTenebris

This is a nice, straightforward spring/summer fragrance which performs especially well in the heat. It has a juicy, slightly salty citrus peel and orange blossom opening atop a clean, non-indolic jasmine (although the orange blossom is that slightly "horsey" smelling type, if you're familiar) and it basically rides those juicy notes out to the end, which for me is a respectable 4-6 hours. Generally I like to keep jasmine in my tea but this is not screechy, although it feels higher-pitched in cooler temps. In hot weather, this is just good clean summer fun.

Shimmels

I've found it! At last I've found it!! Having spent much of my life living in the Southern California Citrus Belt, for years I have searched for a perfume that smells like a Spring morning in Riverside or Redlands. The sweet scent of orange blossoms mixed with fragrant lime and lemon. Well, this is it! Lancome has captured this olfactory delight in a bottle. All the others I've tried, from pure orange blossom water to Prada, smelled either too sweet, too heavy, or just plain dirty. Lancome's version is light, refreshing, and relaxing, just like an early morning walk in a citrus orchard in Springtime. I'm very particular about fragrance, and Lancome O de L'Orangerie has earned a permanent spot on my dressing table. Great job!

ScarlettX

Light and tender just like O d`Azur, maybe just a little stronger, as orange flower is usually very strong note. In this perfume, the orange flower is light and mixed with citruses. Quite easy-going fresh summer scent! An everyday scent, not very outstanding or special.
Might be a little too expensive for such an ordinary scent.

Juno27

I'm afraid I find this one pretty revolting. Unfortunately, as with all perfumes I hate, it seems to last for ever. It is truly all-pervasive in any sort of environment and lasts for ever! (Great if you like it of course). I have smelt it a number of times as I have been wandering around stores and I've been at a loss to understand how anyone could find it attractive. I rarely think anything smells this bad but the worse thing about it is that it won't wash off even on my fair skin. I've sprayed myself with it once but never again as there is something truly pungent about it. It really lacks any sort of subtlety I'm afraid. One for the bin this time.

Released as another alternative (flanker) for the traditional fragrance Ô de Lancôme (1969), this creation was inspired on a spring afternoon inside the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. The orange flower is the true Queen of the composition, which gathers citrus accord, neroli and orange flower on top; Jasmine, in the body; Cedar and benzoin, in the base.

The name has double meaning, since the reading suggests the word Eau (water, in French), indicating that it is a fresh scent. And it really is!
Once applied on the skin, the citrus output indicates a more unisex fragrance. About 10 minutes later, the jasmine appears and gives a floral and more feminine content. Over time, the benzoin gives a feeling slightly sweetened, but very subtle, nothing that might compromise the light beauty of this creation.

The projection is weak, or rather, discreet. I think this term fits better with the elegance of this fragrance. However, the lasting is very good and the evolution is linear and consistent. For about 5 hours, the aroma has remained constant on my skin, without losing force or change the smell. Only then, it began to lose power, bit by bit. This is a rare characteristic in a perfume of this kind, with soft and citric nuances.

I know many women who would love to wear this perfume on their daily routines, especially in the hot climate of Brazil. It’s elegant, feminine, versatile and has quality. However, I can't say that I'll be shocked in discover that some men also wear it once in a while. After all, every scent changes according to the chemistry of the skin and, in general, do not have gender. Go discover!

delayedecho

This is a fragrance that baffles me. With so many good reviews, I procured a bottle thinking this would be a lush white floral perfume, but all I could smell was the cedar and bergamot, and none of the white flowers.

sarahwspain

The first time I wore this I took a taxi and when I was about to leave the driver (a woman actually) turned around and said to me "I'm sorry, but I have to ask: what perfume are you wearing?". Yes pals, this baby is that beautiful (and that strong).

I bought this one when it came out a few years ago and I still have a lot left. I love to wear this in spring and summer, although it is also great in the winter if you're feeling nostalgic about summertime.

This is basically a floral fragance, which is not my favourite kind actually, because my skin tends to amplify strong floral notes, such as jasmine, and they usually feel too heavy to me. However, this perfume has the perfect combination of florals and freshness.

It's heavily based around the orange flower so, even from the opening, you can feel it as the main player here. The opening has a dash of citruses and bergamot, and as they fade away you get a stronger orange flower, some orange and, of course, the jasmine. But again, the orange flower remains the main note throughout the entire experience. It lasts a really long time and it projects A LOT.

I must say, I absolutely love this one. I grew up in the Mediterranean and it really smells like a summer night, it is such a realistic scent that I'm surprised this isn't a more popular perfume. If you're looking for something special and you like soft florals go for it, you won't regret it...

bosem

Deserves to stay in the permanent collection, not just a special edition. For the quality/price ratio it's VERY good.(IMHO)

celia46

The start is strong, but after some minutes it became soft, very very soft, half an hour later I have nothing on my skin!!! It's a pity but I would not buy it.

elena gonzalez

Citrus scent everywhere and softness of jasmine makes me feel so feminine, fresh as a summer morning, where everything is possible! Positive energy in a beautiful bottle. Delicate perfume to smile !!

Fhaldara

If anything can replace eau d'orange vert as my favorite orange scent it would be this. It starts with a sharp blast of bitter orange which quickly softens into a lighter, sweeter 'petal' scent with a green note leaving a long lasting woody trail. It has good longevity and sillage on me which is a big plus since the citrus scents I favor rarely last long. It's a woman's perfume, but has a unisex feel -I REALLY like it, but will have to wear it more to decide if it will equal or surpass eau d'orange vert.

Sylvie-Aus

How gorgeous is this one ! I never could be a fan of O de Lancome , even so where I come from , it is very a popular and appreciated fragrance !
Keeping the" aromatic citric" theme of the original , O de L'orangerie is smoother , a new scent ! A delightful all rounder fragrance , such a wonderful blend of morning drew freshness !

kaejuntun

I found O de l'Orangerie very sharp, at first - harsh, even. After a few moments though I got the fresh cleanness of the Orange flower with a good dose of citrus. There's a hint of bitterness, similar to the bitterness in Yves Rocher's Neroli. The dry down is so close to the skin that it's hardly noticeable. In fact, the only reason I can still smell it is it rubbed off on my sleeve. A nice fragrance that would be well suited to hot weather, but I definitely think there are better fragrances featuring Orange blossom.

lizakaya

So fresh, so clean. Orange blossom with a breath of jasmine. I wear this on hot summer days when I am working with kids and a vanilla based fragrance would be too oppressive. Not much sillage and not huge longevity, but you can spirtz this on a few times a day to cool yourself from the heat. It is a perfect flanker for original O de Lancome, which is a touch too limey for me.

auroramaria

A fresh floral absolutely perfect forma hot summer days smells elegant and the orange blossoms jasmine combo is come beautifully

CoffeeCup

Nice, refreshing, natural smelling. Light bitter citrus with very dominant jasmine and orange blossom on a very tamed cedar base. Crisp, fresh, greenish floral. Stays on my skin 2 hrs max, on my clothes the whole day or even longer.

To my nose it's predominantly a jasmine scent, and although usually I don't like jasmine at all, in this combo I appreciate it. I can see the beauty of this noble note for the first time. But let's not get overly enthusiastic - although I find O de l'Orangerie very elegant and very wearable, I don't see myself ever falling in love with it. (O d'Azur with its lemon-rose-musk is just so much more my cup of tea). It's a strong *like* from me, especially for the learning curve. :)

Plus. Being such a fresh invigorating fragrance - it does not smell like detergent, air freshener or dirty water, it does smell like beautiful, natural, dewy flowers!!! Thumbs up.

hconnors

I don't usually like citrus scents on myself, but this O de Orangerie is a perfect balance of citrus and floral, fresh and fruity. While it enlivens my senses, it simultaneously satisfies them. Such a wonderful perfume! Natural, fresh and refined.

Felipe Ramone

Go get it, girls! It smells like a natural flower, with hints of notes that remind me of animalic ones after the drydown. I guess it's the orange flower, kind of a wild smell. I don't know if it develops the same way of every girl, but it's VERY sexy for me.

SeleneHdez

gabri

After trying it, my mother raved about it so much that I decided to give her the bottle I received. She said she'll never use any other perfume......:o)

spiderleenie

During the Summer, I tend to really enjoy fresh, bright, citrusy, and clean perfumes. Of course, I wanted to try out Lancome's O de L'Orangerie, and it doesn't disappoint whatsoever!

Any perfumes with a strong orange blossom/orange flower note tend to smell very nice on me; to the point where I always get compliments. The orange/citrus notes with the orange flower makes this a juicy and fresh scent. The jasmine gives it a little "oomph" that make this slightly more mature than other clean fragrances. The base notes of the virginia cedar and the benzoin blend everything nicely together, and I think they help the jasmine from overpowering the citrus notes.

After a few hours of wearing this, I find that this fragrance actually does become a little sweeter. It's not overdone at all; it's just a really nice transformation that the fragrance takes. It's not intrusive, and it doesn't prevent you from smelling the other notes.

All in all, I would say that this is a great Spring and Summertime fragrance that has a more mature spin to it because of the jasmine. I think it's lovely!

emi

It has something to do with Alien by TM. Jasmine here is very prominent. Of course Alien is heavy and O de L'Orangerie is light, citrusy and a little bit aquatic, but still...

piahellgren

This is such a perfectly clean fragrance. At first there is this really beautiful water accord, yet it doesn´t give off anything aquatic (which is a good thing, IMO). When a fragrance is this nicely composed the joy is of course the result of the totality of what you´re smelling. I love that both the orange blossom and the jasmin are so toned-down- there is nothing indolic there! (Nothing wrong with indolic necessarily, but indolic doesn´t work for me at the moment). After the bubbly lemonade-like citrus peel settles a bit - but it does follow all through the end in this one and I really enjoy that- it is not taken over by the slight woddiness and the benzoin. The two latter are just supporting the white flowers and the crisp citrus. Plus I am yet to understand what benzoin does in a fragrance! I smell something like early summer fresh sugar snap peas in this composition! Imagine holding this just harvested sugar snap pee under running cold water and breaking it in two and the greenish, sweet and crispy smell that comes up from your hands. This to me is the secret of this exqusite fragrance- no "sultryness", just fresh, crisp armonas of flowers, fruits and vegetables! It´s like a happy and VERY healthy summer salad!

Fonna2

This fragrance starts out soft and light, then starts to morph right into *sniff sniff* ............ Diorissimo.
Very citrusy fresh scent. This would be great in the Spring, and just a light spray in the Summer.

People who like citrus would enjoy it.
As for me, well enough to like, however very rarely do I go for strong citrus.

mluckyg

Strong orange blossom plus jasmine, lots of citrus and cedar drydown. This is quite refreshing and transport me to a walk in a French garden in spring like the description.

Maodo

I LOVE orange blossoms, really, I LOVE them. Thats what attracted me in the first place in this perfume when I bought it. BUT in some way the gorgious and lovely little greenish smell of the first sniff does not lead me in to an exciting adventure further on.

L 'Orangerie with her fabulous start gets a kind of boring to me. I expected more from the house of Lancome. I miss fresh air to breath in and out wearing L 'Orangerie, I miss sharp hints of freshness, up and down, from the left and from the right, high and low. I miss the total story in this. The smell of L 'Orangerie, to me, becomes plastic, chemically and I feel like a numb doll. I think I am going to wear this perfume in summer when I go to sleep and hunger for sweet, innocent and worryless dreams.

I agree with cecfor and SheShe below

harpist

I find the initial top notes very enjoyable- it is a bright but not overly sweet citrus that is so alluring for its freshness. Then the florals give it much warmth. I originally guessed tuberose because it had a strange almost plastic white floral quality to it but surprised to see jasmine. I'm not sure why but I think the base benzoin and cedar mix gives this a damp laundry or wet dog smell for the dry down which I can't stand. It's maddening because the opening is so great but I am led to much disappointment. Not to my surprise it has soft silage and short longevity.
In comparison I find this the medium between the original and Azur in terms of citrus sweetness. Azur is more my preference.
I would instead recommend Bvlgari's Mon Jasmin Noir L'eau Exquise for a much more beautiful citrus/jasmine experience.

Maodo

If you like this perfume, you will like L'Instant de Guerlain Fleur de Mandarine too. I promise :-)

derkargy

It's a bit stronger than the original.

Eneli

Lovely, frech and citrusy mixed with jasmin. Reminds me alot one my favourite perfumes - Thierry Mugler Alien Sunessence.

suemass

I just love this for my summer fragrance! I reminds me of a garden with an orchard near. No sour notes just lovely uplifting fragrance. I spray this in my hair and every time there is a breeze I get this wonderful aroma that wafts by. It is one of my favorites; clean, fresh, floral, sunny!

charlottesmom

I broke with my "all Lancome perfume is horrid" mindset and strolled over to their counter to see what was what, O'de L'Orangerie caught me at first sniff, there was something so familiar about it. I sprayed it on a tester strip and went on my merry way to Sephora where I proceeded to sniff a pack of yummies, but my mind kept going to the lovely Lancome....when my son and I were done shopping we went back through Macy's and I sprayed O'de L'Orangerie on my wrist, I still can't quite pin what other perfume it smells very much like, though it is not any of the "reminds me of" perfumes listed. I don't get a ton of citrus though there is a bit, it is more powdery floral on me perhaps a bit reminiscent of Shalimar. It is a very comforting floral warm fragrance, probably better suited twards fall/winter. I like it, but not love it.

Sillage: 3/5 stays pretty close to the skin

Longevity: 4/5 still going strong after 4 hours.

All in all: I like it, it's a nice safe non-offensive scent

bobo1

J'ai adoré! Tout simplement!
For those who like Cedrat by Roger&Gallet a orange citrus version.

Longevity:
I sprayed it on the back of my hand more than 8 hours ago, washed my hands multiple times and it's still there .

kakaka2

This is a great fragrance! I had been avoiding it for so long just for the fact that citruses usually don't get along with my skin (or my nose :)).

However, I took the chance based on reviews here and once again I was not mislead. Yes, this scent is at first citrus but in a fresh, genuine way and in time turns into a very delicate and simply beautiful white flower composition. I find it pretty lasting on my skin, which is also a surprise, but on a relatively hot spring day I can enjoy this lovely fragrance the whole day.

I thank to all reviewers and highly recommend O de L'Orangerie as a true spring/summer beauty.

pbluberry

I like this more than the original. Smells sparkly bitter orange to me. Very refreshing but I only tried it on the test strip. Will have to try it on skin next time around.

maneki_neko

It's delicious. That's the only way I know to accurately describe it. The bitter orange is so bright, and eventually gives way to a just-sweet-enough jasmine.

Couldn't do it everyday. It's like a rich dessert--best enjoyed every once in a while.

Tulip Time

I love this fragrance and I find it "delightful". It works well in the warmer weather and doesn't overpower with heaviness. I'll wear it even on a cold winter's day just to feel a little light and spring-y.

lemontreelime12

I really wanted to like this, but those orange notes did not stay on top of the fragrance (or with the fragrance as time went on) as well as i had hoped they would.

missk

If you love orange blossom as much as I do, this O de Lancome flanker is worth checking out.

I turn to wearing fresh orange blossom scents at the start of every Spring. It's my way of avoiding fruity or citrusy scents, and sticking with florals. O de L'Orangerie is so light and fresh on the skin, that it's perfect for those hot Spring and Summer days.

It's also a tad sweet, in a way that compliments the rest of the composition. The scent in its entirety strikes me as being rather cool and crisp. The mint-green coloured bottle really does suit the scent, as it's quite fresh yet feminine.

It may never live up to its classic and unique predecessor, O de Lancome, but this flanker does have the ability to stand on its own two feet. Its zesty approach to orange blossom intrigues me, and is also what makes it so universally pleasing.

It's unfortunate that O de L'Orangerie is a limited edition. The only stores that still stock it tend to be duty free, and I fear that after this year, it will become increasingly harder to find. O de Lancome, O de L'Orangerie and the accompanying flankers are some of the very best from Lancome.

Although the projection is a little weak, the lasting strength is surprisingly good. I tested it before heading off to work and still caught wafts of it after I finished my shift. I recommend.

paulancavalcanti

I so love this perfume. It's a fresh orange, very refined one I must add, that lasts all day in my very hot city here in Brazil. Great if you like citrus scents, but in a very delicate composition. Not so great if you're a sweet addict, it is far from the overwhelming floral I'm used to sniff here and there, although there's a little sweetness in it (I'd say just enough to balance with the citrus).
It's a perfume for the day, wouldn't wear it at night, even if in a warmer one, for it has little sexyness to it. It's much more of a vibrant, energetic scent, the kind that makes me feel ready for a long day of work.

gabri

I am so angry this perfume I received from my BF does not last at all....It's so lovely and delicate, why does this happen ? :o(

girl1000

I love this. It is pure summer joy in a bottle. The opening is bright citrus with warm white florals beneath, all entirely natural. The late drydown is almost entirely a very natural jasmine, which is nice but too simple for me. I only wish that some of the bright top notes lasted through the later drydown. I find l'Orangerie to be a gorgeous fragrance and a nice summery alternative to Dior's Pure Poison, which I also love. This scent is affordable enough to reapply with abandon, and I love it so much that the late drydown isn't a dealbreaker for me at all. It is somewhat similar to Jesus Del Pozo's In White, but for me, l'Orangerie is far superior to In White which gives off a slightly synthetic note.
UPDATE: I just tested l'Orangerie again, and either it has changed or I have, as the bright orange blossom note in the beginning now lasts forever on me. I love it! This would be a perfect scent for a wedding.

Morgane08

O de l'Orangerie is spring in a bottle.
True, it is not the most surprising or original scent, but it is the most consistent fragrance I've had. By that I mean that when you spray it on your skin it immediately smells of Orange Blossom and Jasmine with a touch of citrus. And you know what? It stays that way until the end of the day. It never loses its freshness, which makes it the best spring/summer scent I've ever bought.
And yes, the longevity (at least on me)is excellent.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

PS: this is coming from someone who used to hate the smell of orange flowers and completely changed her mind thanks to Lancome.

Wingless

I would love this perfume, fresh lemon and jasmine is like a dream to me, not too sharp or too cloying on the flowers.... but that plastic like smell of the orange blossoms kills me! simply can't stand it.

hollycat

When I first apply its all citrus and then shortly after the jasmine starts to bloom in the heart notes. This process takes only about 15-20min. After that it dries down and you can smell the ever so slightest hint of benzoin and cedar. But the basenotes are practically absent on my skin, they just sort of anchor the scent.

To me this is a very simple perfume, yet very pretty. Its basically an orange/citrus/jasmine scent, all in the same ratio. The citrus stands out just as much as the jasmine. I think it would make a better lotion though. Because it almost smells lotion like when its on. Plus the longevity and sillage are poor on me, so a lotion would probably give it more wear time.

Overall, its very pretty. But I would never bother with a FB purchase.

AveParfum

I love orange blossoms, and it's hard to find an orange blossom perfume that smells amazing, but this is just beautiful. My aunt has an orange tree in her yard, and when driving to Las Vegas, there are miles of blooming orange trees during the summer, just phenomenal! O de L'Orangerie is like orange blossom water--refreshing and clean, and the orange blossom is beautifully balanced by a warm base of resin and cedar. It does remind me of the original O de Lancome, but it's more modern, less citrus, and sweeter. This is so beautiful for summer or spring, sooo clean and delightful!

tschiepchen

O de L'Orangerie is Anna Sui's Secret Wish Magic Romance's twin and is an overall fresh fragrance that centres around citruses and orange flower with a faint bitter note that makes the fragrance perfect for hot summer days.

The sillage is average and the fragrance lasts for about 4 hours on my skin.

With every spray the composition is very fresh, uplifting and energizing - and therefore I do not mind touching up on this fragrance every couple of hours.

ArkangeL

Upon first spray, I was immediately reminded of Alien from Thierry Mugler. Maybe not the Eau de Parfum, but a cleaner version. Perhaps the Alien Eau de Toilette or Alien Aqua Chic? I desire to call it, "L'eau de Alien". I believe this is due to the way in which the jasmine is used or breed of jasmine. O de L`Orangerie craftfully uses more citrus and benzoin opposed to amber. This is a very fresh, well balanced floral where all of the notes equally share the bottle.

LuluCoconut

Oh, Lancome, you'll get a lot of lovers of your O de l'orangerie after Dior stopped making their Cherie l'eau. And I would be one of them, if I don't find another bottle of the green cherie.
Sure O de l'orangerie does not have the same bitter sweet opening, but the sour fresh burst of lemon and orange is good enough to want to go further. And there you have a pretty and clean white jasmine heart surrounded by the green-ness of orange blossom. The cashmere-like white flowery heart that I like so much. O, you truly are a sister of Dior's Cherie. Wish I liked your bottle as much as I liked Dior's, but let's face it, the juice is more important than a plastic ribbon. And it is very pleasant indeed.

cecfor

It starts off wonderfully with fresh citruses, perfect for summer. Then there must be some peculiar reaction with my skin. After an hour or so it turns and then smells like thick chemically sweet lemon-scented cleaner. No, I don't want to smell like that. Drydown sounds interesting but I washed it off before it got there. On paper I did't get that chemical side of it at all, only the fresh summer scent that I ought to like. I think it is not supposed to smell like it did on me. So, advise from me: try on skin (as always).

NaniFiona

Fresh, delicious orange blossons, calming and revigorating...after an hour a beautiful Jasmin starts to glow...

artsyrn

The words that come to mind are fresh, sweet, soapy, clean, soft floral-citrus...but there is something 'dirty'in it that keeps this from feeling immature! I wonder if this is the this the benzoin and cedar?
Oh de L 'Orangerie lasts and lasts and surrounds the wearer in a soft, sugary cloud of blooming springtime possibilities.

Aspendina

I THINK what I am smelling from this is all orange blossom, which happens to be one of my fav scents in this world, but hmmm its just not dead on for me. I grew up next to an Orange Grove in Fl and when they blossomed I could smell them at my house, so wonderful. I know what they smell like and again this is not dead nor is it doing anything for me. It also has similarities to Lilly Pulitzer Beachy, I can almost swear that is what I am wearing. I don't think this is for me. :-/ I already own and love Beachy and like it better than this.

Nadia Beatriz

I am not a big fan of lancome scents at all, usually there´s nothing really special about it that really caught my attention, but this one is really amazing,I love this one so badly That I really wanna buy it, just not for now,It´s magnificent classic, citrus and suits very good on my skin.. I must have this masterpice, and I´ll make a better review when I purchase it..

g&t

This is a beautiful refreshing scent, warm and cool at the same time, reminiscent of warm summer evenings.

ailimeavolokin

I'm into orange blossom lately and this is my best hit so far. Juicy orange blossom, soft and cuddly jasmine and refreshig, slightly sweet citruses. The longevity is excellent.

Nikka Miró

Which perfume fresh and delicious! His smell of fresh green leaves and, embracing a citric scent of Orange, not only the broth ... but I can feel the bitter taste of bark too! Invigorating, love it! A great perfume, for use when the Academy or on warmer days.

SheShe

It's both about jasmine and orange flower. Actually I find too much jasmine here, I'm not a fan of jasmine. The most pleasant in my opinion is the beginning when the fragrance is light green but this vanishes fast and becomes white jasmine -orange flower, a bit too overpowering like jasmine can be. Sweet, a bit soapy. I prefer O d'Azur, it wears easier for me. This one is nice if somebody likes these both ingredients altogether - Orangerie is too white and nauseous for me.
I agree that it has something in common with Miss Dior Cherie L' Eau, but MDCh is fresher and sharper. Also it reminds me of Alien (I don't like Alien!).
A pretty bottle!

Camin

I was in the mall and saw it and thought what the heck--and gave myself a spritz, expecting not to like it. But though it is very strong, it is lovely. I could smell the orange blossom right away, and a little of the zest too, and of course the heady jasmine. But a very clean jasmine, not the almost gagging-sweet jasmine you sometimes encounter (both in perfumes and in the plant world--there are different types of jasmine!). The drydown is somewhat powdery, but not cloyingly so. I would agree with others that it seems like a warm weather scent--though wearing it on a dull rainy cold day could really cheer you up!

Ladies..I read my comment again and I have to say it deserves much more than this..I want to wait for spring/summer to wear it but today I couldnt stop myself..I am really in love with this scent..i love every step of L'Orangerie..the beginning..the dry down..everything.its sooo soft..the citrus..the orange..the jasmine..everything soo balanced in it, fresh and all of the notes sooo elegant combined. I cant find the right words to describe this one :) its amazing..and its the perfect summer frag I used to miss and never found.

This fragrance has many lovely levels, subtle but it defintely has something that other perfumes don't. I have only had it for a day and already so many compliments. It wears really great on my skin, and the fresh citrus and orange notes dry down to a soft lingering powdery jasmine that reminds me of the sweet soft sent that jasmine plants gives on late summer afternoons. It's soft and elegant and I am addicted to the smell. My husband loves it to which is a total bonus.

I tested it last weekend and I have to say I fell in love..I cant wait for next summer to buy it..seems it will become my favourite for summer :)I adore the jasmine note with citruses..sooooo nice (you shouldnt spray it on paper..you should try it directly on your skin!)

bbbonbon

Update: Sorry, I gave it another chance and it was dreadful. It was kind of nice on my skin but my clothes reeks of jasmine, which by the way, I loath most of the time.

gaby67

in my skin smells like jasmine and nothing more, a little bit sopay, I'm ok with that but expected something more orageish... besides my husband hates jasmine :(

bbbonbon

At first, it was heavenly, the citrus, the orange blossoms and the cedar were lovely. But, after 30 minutes it change into something strange, I don't know if it was too bitter or synthetic but it was definitely weird. An hour later change again, this time into something pleasant, I mean now it's softer, citrusy and a little soapy. It's nice, nothing really special so I guess I'll give it another try.

Zaleska

The notes sound very appealing to me.
The only thing that made me "sad" is the soapy drydown that some reviewers below noticed. I like soapy, but I was expecting something more fresh, nothing "soap", only by observing the bottle.
Gonna try. After I tell you.

CONTINUATION:
Tried it: very soapy, nothing fresh, and made me remember of something I already have. Nothing new. A little annoying. Threw the paper strip away.

What a radiantly beautiful, fresh, clean, dewy-green, orange blossom floral! This lovely flanker opens with a splash of dewdrop-fresh citric greens embraced by a warmly lush heart of neroli, clean jasmine, and headily smooth creamy orange blossoms. The tenderly soft base of clean, light woods and benzoin envelops everything in a tenderly soft cocoon of warm elegance and subtle sweetness. This is a delicately intoxicating haze of clean, white seduction. Feminine in extremis. I am enchanted.

Pinni

I did go and test this on my skin the next day I wrote my first comment. I didn't take long for me to decide I wanted it and today I went to get a 50ml bottle for myself.

The jasmine comes out intense and lovely on my skin, even more than it did on the paper. (Somehow my skin chemistry seems to enhance some flowery scents and vanilla.) The scent feels fresh and green like the wind in a fruit and tree garden. Still it's sweet and floral which makes it definitely feminine. Citruses are noticeable especially in the beginning and succeed in making the scent fresh without turning out soapy like many fragrances.

L'Orangerie is a lot nicer than it's predecessor which I can't actually say I like. I also tried on Lancome o d'Azur too, which was pretty nice but nothing that special or extraordinary and maybe a bit too sweet.

Lancome l'Orangerie instead will definitely go to my all time favorites. (And I have to say that I'm very picky with my fragrances.)

Mtsk

Great for summer time... love it and i will use it during my vacations to a Greek Island!!!!!!!!!!

Mandana

Beautiful sweet modern fragrance with a hint of green. It settled on my skin and the sweet orange notes blossomed and stayed, the zesty green notes had long disappeared by then. I was kind of hoping the green notes would linger a bit longer; I dont get any cedar notes at all but I still love the sillage of sweet oranges with something faintly floral on my skin. I dont like the O de Lancome scent (smells a little dated now) and the new Lancome Azur doesnt smell too special on my skin, reminds me of a bathroom cleaner and doesnt otherwise smell of a day by the sea, which the name "Azur" seems to conjure up. But O de l'Orangerie is lovely, beautiful, romantic, flowing and enticing. One smelled, not forgotten! This is for me THE 2011 summer fragance. Bien fait, Lancome!

Trinity

Oh, this is just sooooo beautiful! :-) I will wear this a lot during my upcoming vacation! Perfect for "green & fresh" lovers...

Very uplifting (orange flowers & citruses), cooling & refreshing; but manages to be sensual (jasmine, cedar & benzoin) too!;-)

This one is a winner!

Ladies, let your man pick out what he likes to smell on you. The smells of orange is nice and love the floral notes

Pinni

I sprayed a sample of it on paper today and liked it very much. In the evening I left the sample next to the computer and after a while I noticed that my bf kept smelling it! I had taken a couple of different samples but apparently that was his choice. Mine too I have to say... I think I'll try it on tomorrow.

It's a lovely fresh, floral and citrusy scent. You can detect the jasmine and that's probably why my bf likes this scent.

Karisha

mmm... i loved this one. Just no words, only emotions!!!

Vamy69

This reminded me alot of Armani Code. It is nice but not earth shattering. The lasting power is not all that great on me either.

lialu

Lovely. Absolutely lovely. :-)

To my nose: by far the best of all the 'O's' de Lancome! Reminds me of holidays in south France/Cote d'Azur. This perfume captures perfectly the breeze of salted sea mixed with mediterranean flowers and spices. Love it!

cheriebeary73

I have a sample of this and one word describes it..YUCK!
reminds me of some kind of household cleaner! I would not wear this if it was the only perfume on earth!

Miripiri

The notes sounded nice so today I tried it. I am afraid I don't like it at all. It reminds me so much of Womanity from Mugler which I can't stand. What a pity.

tschiepchen

It smells EXACTLY like Anna Sui's Secret Wish Magic Romance.
I have the Sui perfume so I am able to judge that.
Smells a bit like Light Blue with a hint of orange blossom and lily of the valley.
Crisp, clean, fresh, nice for spring and summer.

Ladybird2

It's definitely green. I also get the orange blossom. It's clean and fresh, there's a summer feeling there. But, it reminds me of some fabric softener, and so I feel why should I pay for this? Nice, but won't buy it.

Kellypham

i feel something similar to miss dior cherie l'eau, IT'S GREEN....but sweeter than dior l'eau. With the price £30 for 70ml, i think i might buy it for this summer..^^...Just a fresh perfume for daily use with reasonable price.

Aigner_Again

At the very beginning it's a mess. I got scared a bit. But wait a minute, this is Lancome. It can't be bad. And voila! after a few moments every note falls right into its place and you get an optimistic fresh green scent. Happy, romantic and young at heart. Not girlish-cheap! It reminds me of some other happy n'cosy greens like Daliflor EdT and Duende, but O de L'Orangerie is a higher level I should say. Absolutely my kind of perfume.

nicolette09

i sprayed it on the paper and it was so bad that i couldn't dare to spray it on me. Strong, very strong, gave my friend a very bad cough. I thought it smelled like mosquito repellent
