Model and actress Elisa Sednaoui is the muse of this fragrance. The bottle is round topped with a tiara – shaped stopper containing the designer's initials. Golden shades and leopard print decorate the bottle design and packaging.

Had to try this again to remember why I wanted to sell my bottle.
Absolutely gorgeous at first, and it would be better than JPG's Classique Essence if it weren't for the plasticky barbie-doll-hair dry-down that quickly comes after about 30 minutes of wear. I've tried four perfumes out of this Cavalli line, and three of them have this plastic dry-down. My chemistry is just not working with this. :(
If it weren't for that, this would be the dreamiest, creamy orange flower perfume ever (that I know of).
It's like a sophisticated orange creamsicle.

And RIP Roberto Cavalli; your legacy is larger than life.

AnlisaC

RIP Roberto, you made some great smelling fragrances!!! ❤️🇮🇹

Iconic'80s

This is a perfume that reminds me of another time. I don't get vanilla at all but I do get the floral and benzoin which I quite like. This is a very formal smell to me that reminds me of black cocktail dresses, stilettos, pearls and the soft clinking of ice in a glass. For me it will be reserved for those kinds of nights.
It is much more affordable than it would seem.

This is a perfume that I often forget about, but when I re-discover it I absolutely adore it. Its always available at a reasonable price and I'm now wondering again, why I don't have another bottle of it. Such a wonderful fragrance, feminine, fresh, and a bit of creaminess coming from the vanilla and tonka notes, its worth overspraying to make it last all day, the projection is pretty good I often got compliments when I wore it. Very enjoyable fragrance!

I gave this perfume away a few years ago and it's one of the few swaps that I regret.I can't even remember why did I gave away such a lovely perfume?! I tested it again recently and while it's not a love but a strong like for me. smells beautiful and very feminine, has satisfying longevity and sillage and I love it's bottle.I don't find it dated or old fashion even a bit. it's ageless. orange flower and vanilla are two of my most favorite perfume notes but to be honest on me it's not much orange flowery. it smells like creamy mango and passion flower in a base of balmy, slighty spicy benzoin and powdery vanilla.I don't get how it doesn't have any fruity notes.so what's responsible for this creamy tropical fruit scent?! I find this kind of tropical but in a grownup and classy and slightly flowery-balmy-powdery way and wearable in all seasons
I don't find it too similar to JPG Classique Essence(which is a strong love) or Classique Intense(this one is a like). it's more reminding me of Lancome Hypnose. maybe it's like a love child of Lancome Hypnose and JPG Classique Essence?

jadepo21

Everything about this is a yes for me. So intoxicating and seductive. So deep and warm and sweet. Instant love for this little gem of a scent.

VirgowithLeo

This os one of the best affordable fragrance but it is too spicy to my nose.
I just wish it was a bit more toned down on the spice/pink pepper note.

bringprivateaccordback

did not expect this to be so good. something about this is so comforting, sniff my wrist and I just feel content and calm. but still, it's feminine and kind of sexy. like femme fatale in dark makeup and leather boots meets a mature lady who is getting ready to grab a tea with her friends. could be worn almost anywhere for any occasion. not sure if this works during warmer season though - I have a feeling this could be cloying for some. kind of sad my sample is running out, but I see myself getting a full bottle of this next fall! also interested to check other RC scents now :)

SheRays

Sweet and bougie at the same time! I like how grown and sexy this smells without necessarily being gourmand. Projection is really good , but not overpowering. The profound spoken, well dressed, sophisticated professor can wear this in the daytime, and then straight to the streets with her dapper husband for a sexy night on the town in the evening. Lovely!🌹

Dollycat

Like not love it. It smells at least with my nose somewhat like shoe polish. Seriously i'm not joking it really reminds me of it. At the same times it smells very unique i have never owned a perfume that remind me of shoe polish😁. It's not a terrible smell but with the lot of amber it quickly disappears on my skin. My skin eats amber like a maniac. So for me skin scent with short longtivity.

chimidoro

I had it and loved it, the original formula, with no lid on my bottle. Then Mugler released AURA and I became convinced that they smelled extremely alike and that AURA was a better, higher quality, "superior" scent.💜

So, I rid myself of my lidless Cavalli because I genuinely believed I favoured AURA and was having a moment of feeling especially frugal and powerful.

Fast forward a hot minute, when it dawned on me that I'm particularly anosmic to Aura, can't smell ANYTHING after ten minutes - it's honestly barely discernible to me, aware though I AM of its INCREDIBLE potency. 😬😭🙄😞

I began craaaaaving the creamier, smoother, spicy and resinous, CAVALLI.
So I repurchased it again, only to discover that it had lost all of its oomph and become a touch too sweet.
It was reformulated.
I now had a lid, however, yay.
Was kicking myself.
Got rid of it again, continued to crave.
Never wore AURA again.

Fast forward to this very day, I made the shocking discovery that the Cavalli is currently in the process of being DISCONTINUED! 🎱
Only, truth be told, it's not really, it's actually just been repackaged.
The bottle and box are now totally different....
AND there's a PARFUM variant available!
Come again, say what?
An effin parfum version, you say?

YA DARN TOOTIN. ✨

Got it ordered. Don't gotta tell me twice. 🥂

Watch this space. 😂
(Anybody else tried it? The repackaged edp or the new parfum? 🍀🐛 Opinions? 🔮)

EDIT with opinion about the new PARFUM version:

Smells kinda like ALIEN 👾
With an oudh opening, benzoin base.
Without the stonka tonka and the heavy cedar. More of an orange blossom, ALIEN and sandalwood mix.
Definitely an evening scent.

There ya have it. 😂

wondervalley666

Very pretty! Sweet, warm, flowery. Very simple yet chic. A nice easy reach. Reminds me of my signature scent I wore years ago. Isn’t too loud or obnoxious. Slightly fresh. Not too spicy. Not too sweet. I get all the notes listed and the accords are accurate and in order. It isn’t the most memorable and doesn’t stand out, but it’s a great daily grab if you want to smell good. Super affordable as well. Safe blind buy unless the recipient dislikes any of the listed notes or accords. To me, this isn’t an exclusively evening or cold weather fragrance. It feels very versatile. I’d even say it’s office safe as long as you don’t overspray. Most similarly priced designer fragrances smell terrible, cheap and watered down to me. This is much better quality than many competitors. I’d recommend it for budget-conscious shoppers who loathe cheap watered down trendy concoctions.

FYI I had Gaultiers Essence and another similar orange flower older Classique flanker and while I agree they have some similarities, I actually like this more. The classique flankers had a touch more “classique DNA” in them and weren’t as sweet, they also didn’t last long on my skin and dried down to a powdered orange drink/tang type scent. It also would disappear completely from my skin in 1 hr. Roberto Cavalli is sweeter, smells more of orange flower and less of orange powder concentrate, and lasts a lot longer. You can layer RC with Classique EDT to get the scent even closer to Essence.

Compliments Magnet!!!

Gabriella.0

This scent is so feminine without being 'basic'. It's flowery but not in a diaphane, summery way. It's warm and a bit spicy but not heavy at all. It has a slightly mature not which makes it suitable for autumn and winter, but I think it's suitable for all age groups (expect maybe teenagers). I get a very flowery smell, sweet and comforting. It settles beautifully on the skin, becoming super cozy and warm towards the end. It compliments my skin so nicely and blends in.

All my girl friends picked it as their favourite from my collection, and it's among my boyfriend's favourite scents too, so I'd say you can't rwally go wrong with it.

DariaFrancesca74

Spicy and lively notes of pepper immersed in the heady and sunny notes of orange blossom and the exotic sweetness of Tonka beans, in fusion with the wonderful combination with the voluptuous vanilla and the vibrant resinous notes of benzoin, lead to reassuring sensuality and perfection of the entire fragrance. Feminine fragrance, worth experiencing.

ShayChan

I bought this for someone and it smelled so good on them that I bought it again for myself but I don't like it on me 🤨

Tashateex

I had this but gifted to my mum as I felt this was way to mature for me.

This is a very strong fragrance, heavy with the benzoin, orange blossom and tonka bean. I feel it is not balanced enough and everything is just too heavy and over bearing.

This is great if you like this type of scents as it has great sillage and last a long time. Just not my type of scent.

Sabina8019

What a beauty. Out of my 200+ bottles ( niche and all) - this one in my top 10, next to Peche Cardinal, Poeme and La Fenice. To me - they speak the same language.

FlowerSeeker

Honey and cinnamon, mixed with light amber and other spices. I swear I smelled wintergreen on first spray, but it faded quickly. The longer it dried, the soapier it became. In the end it was too strong for me.

katia31

I bought this following the reviews it's very similar to Gaultier Essence and I should say they are really related. I am happy I found something similar to my all-time favorite Gaultier Essence de Parfum.

Loliky

Ésto es un buen perfumón!!! Dulce, sexy, intenso, diferente y buen precio. Me encanta en invierno, me hace sentir muy segura y tiene buen rendimiento sobre todo en la ropa.

Shui-Xian

Wild, spontaneus, seductive... There is no doubt about boldness and self-confidence expressed by this perfume.
Peppery opening provokes attention for orange blossoms. The spiciness could evoke oriental impression but personally I sense a bit retro.
After some time the fragrance is well-balanced in warm vanilla hint. Becomes more mild, but still very convincing.

This perfume is far far away to be my choice (actually I washed it off, which I rarely do) but I can imagine it for sexy, assertive woman who knows how to use it.

luna k

What I'm getting doesn't match the notes listed so I'll describe what this smells like to me. A thick tuberose base overlayed with a light airy orange blossom. A little spiciness in the background but it doesn't smell peppery, it's more like a bright cardamon.

A little lactonic like a vanilla chai latte absent the tea.

Like you're drinking a tea-free chai latte in a blossoming orange grove during springtime while wearing a tuberose perfume. That's it.

Both dense and airy.

Retro vibes in the best way. Niiice

kellyrwallis

All I smell is incense. Not for me.

toosimilar

epitome to every cheap vulgar fragrance from someone's perfume drawer, it's cloyingly sweet, super heavy and offensive to my nose!

I guess my statement was really true, as here seem to be working a whole army of downvoters , so that my former identical review got hidden as a result in a day or so

No, I will be posting my reviews anyway, I have a right to say this fragrance is indeed a failure

it's so cheap to downvote uncomfortable reviews to hide them from here, I just wonder, how many of those have initially been here?

Gabsp28

Bought this when I saw the notes and it was on sale, for 28 pound. First spray, I just get sweet, not much else. As the fragrance starts to settle the other notes come forward, white floral, and beautiful soft and sweet vanilla. Has a boozyness to it which I love. Not to be confused with a straight up alcohol smell if you get me. I saw someone mention it gives off elie saab vibes, and I do get it once it's dried down. It's not as strong though and a lot more vanilla. I love it. Soft, feminine vanilla scent, which is what I've been enjoying lately. Absolute bargain, lasts long and good silliage. I'm an oversprayer, and I don't think this would offend anyone.

Bodie001

All I can get from this is a sickly, synthetic, spicy amber bomb. I get no floral in this. Definitely has good longevity & sillage though as it took several scrub attempts to get it off.

drugstore classics

Actually quite similar to Just Cavalli. The Cavalli DNA is clearly here. I recommend those who love a boozy base choose the original, and those who prefer more pink pepper choose Just. They are both beautiful options, and at least while not discontinued, rather better value than the current orange blossom best sellers, such as MK Gorgeous and Libre. The Cavalli take on orange blossom is more nuanced and less sweet, though distinctly modern still. They are among the few pink pepper scents I truly do not mind and even enjoy. Recommended! <3

SweetEnigmaticSoul

Omg my emotional self is about to cry because this perfume reminds me of summer 2012 St. Thomas V.I. I purchased this lovely perfume while I was on vacation over there!! Every time I smell this scent it reminds me of the Virgin Islands. 🥹😍❤️😩🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹#Nostalgicmoments

I'm glad I happened to see a YouTube vlogger who persuaded me to buy this Roberto Cavalli EDP, because I'm not sure the Fragrantica pyramid would have convinced me. I was a little leery of this anyway because I have been having trouble with very sweet vanilla-forward fragrances lately--they tend to make me feel nauseated, and give me a headache--but this one is as intoxicating as the vlogger promised, and nothing at all like what the notes pyramid suggests. I get some vanilla, sure, but it's so perfectly balanced with orange blossom that it reads as floral-amber, not gourmand. The bottle is gorgeous, and a little goes a long way, so I will probably have this bad boy in my refrigerator for the rest of my life. To say that this is a fantastic bargain is to damn with faint praise; this fragrance smells better than many far more expensive perfumes in my collection. I tend to gravitate toward the French perfumes historically, but this RC EDP has been a real game-changer for me. Viva Firenze! (I'm kidding: the whole "nationalism" notion goes by the wayside with perfume, which is another reason I love it so much--this one was actually created by Louise Turner, who also created Lost Cherry, a friend's signature scent; this is clearly a more affordable option, although it smells nothing like Lost Cherry I'm sure.)

este96

I had high hopes for this, since I love orange blossom. Unfortunately, all I could detect was the familiar smell of 1960's mosquito repellant.Sad, perhaps the bottle was a bad one. Cavalli usually makes nice fragrance.

Peaches&Cream

I was so hesitant in buying this perfume for the past year and I finally caved in and got it. This smells so good! I get the orange flower and vanilla. It is sweet on me which may be the tonka bean, this isn't doing too much and the notes blends so nicely. It lasts a bit longer on clothes than it does on skin, I have now past the 6 hour mark and I still smell it on my clothes.

Printeza7

Amber bliss!!!! Sweet, warm, playful, happy happy fragrance! Will always keep a bottle! ALWAYS 😁

Lela24

I got this perfume as a gift, and honestly I cannot seem to spend it. I’m not very thrilled about it.
Actually very surprised to see that it has such sweet notes and Amber like, cause for me smells way too rough.
Yes, it is a gourmand smell, but there’s no sweetness that I usually do like, just some very strong, rough, non-describable smell. 4 out of 10 for me, and the 4 is mostly for its longevity and stronger sillage. Not my taste.

GirlOnFire

This smells entirely synthetic, like plastic. Someone down below even said it smells like Gucci Rush and I have to completely agree.

Neverapeoplepleaser

Can't believe I've missed out on this beautiful fragrance for years! Amazing value, smells alot more expensive than it is. I love orange blossom so unsurprisingly I love this. Beast mode performance. Only blind bought 30ml buy will be repurchasing a bigger bottle.

missazahar

I was expecting a lot from this one, as I am a fan of orange blossom. However, I don't get any orange blossom here, just a synthetic shower gel smell and a handful of pepper.

Candypopinlove

Hmmm I think I may be too young for this one. I really do like it, but I just find it odd on myself. It’s very spicy and a little sweet. It kind of reminds me of poison which ironically I hate! But the pink pepper and vanilla notes blend really well, helping it avoid that grossly incense smell of poison. I’ll pass on this one for now, and I will definitely revisit this scent if it’s still being made in like 20 years lol!

selinacat

This is my summer signature. It makes me laugh because everyone says it's a fall/winter, but on me, it is some straight magic on my skin and smells like a pineapple mango daiquiri almost piña colada scent. Not the lipgloss, the real, genuine, bar on a tropical beach kind.

Make no mistake, this is ABSOLUTELY the "adults only" all inclusive version. Mine is around 10 years old and still a super beast. It also smells EXACTLY the same as the day I got it. I do practice good collector care, but this one I haven't molly coddled the same as my OFs/discontinues.

It is probably the best value for money scent in my collection but unlike other bargains, this stands confidently with my niche muscs and OF Muglers. I get none of the cheap synthetic notes common in that price range. The comparison to Poison is valid, but I see more of Alien in him. (Smells best on women, but is a "Stella got her groove back" man)

It's another example of the witchcraft possible with just a few key ingredients in the hands of a master craftsman. That's why this is a hard NO on the blind buy unless you love the complex beasts in my wardrobe. Your chemistry has to be compatible or this is hell instead of heaven.

I encourage anyone into complex sweet non-gourmands or niche beasts this is worth the detour!

suzanne_ronald

2ND GENERATION "POISON" Amber-Floral. Vintage, full-bodied, sweet, white-floral-amber. I get honey, orange-blossom & near-grape tones with a little kick of pink pepper. I catch a glimpse of Serpentine Roberto Cavalli here and there, but this is punchier & more robust with orange-blossom & near-grape tones, but there is a similar dewy honey vibe in the background. Only orange-blossom is listed for white-florals but I get other white-florals enhancing different facets of orange-blossom. Jasmine brings a near-grape citrus quality & gardenia brings a creamy nutmeg. The benzoin here brings a near-raisin and sweet vanillic resinous quality. In the grape tones you will catch a glimpse of Poison Dior, which is likely where the vintage vibe comes from. Projects really well, to the point of nearly being obnoxious, but overall a strong performer. Although it's a gorgeous scent, this is a little too much for everyday for me. I would need to be in the mood, or at least be rockin' some shoulder pads & gold sequins. But fans of Poison Dior might like this interpretation. If this is a second generation Poison Dior scent, then My Way Giorgio Armani is the third generation that brings more bubblegum tuberose into the mix. Enjoy!

_michellexxtaylor_

It’s a great value perfume especially since it’s my strongest perfume. I can understand the ‘old-fashioned’ description by some - however not in the powdery way you would imagine. I see the old fashioned more from how strong it is as more mature. However I am 22 and still enjoy this perfume. I can smell the vanilla but can also smell a lot of orange. I enjoy this but more of a night time perfume maybe for autumn or spring

jumpcannon

This is straight up delicious. Perfectly straddles the amber/floral boundary. Hits super hard with the orange blossom, which is super uplifting and citrusy, but when you take a second sniff you get that warm, sexy/cozy vanilla base. Seriously considering this as a signature scent contender.

la.femme.scent

So, I wrote a review about this fragrance before and back then I came to the conclusion that I didn't like it. I was even trying to figure out how to get rid of it without discarding it, because I already used more than half of it trying to like it.
I finally just let it sit in the back of my drawer for months hoping that something better will happen with it. Well, today I decided to pull it out and give it another shot. The weather felt right for it, since it was so warm today without being too hot. I took a shower, moisturized my skin, even put on some lotion with a vanilla scent and maybe that did it, but it smelled so much better to me! So much so, I had to change my rating from a dislike to a like! I really got the orange blossom in the beginning and it was so citrusy and a little sweet, like a citrus fruit, I kept thinking it was like mandarin or tangerine. Then, it dried down to the benzoin, which was the note I was having the most trouble with before, but today it wasn't so bad. It even dried down to a fresh, clean resin note. I also got the peppery note which was very noticeable but not as annoying. Sometimes this happens with fragrances with me, halfway through it'll start to smell different to me. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the oil distribution since you don't shake it up. Is all the good stuff at the top and it gets better the lower it goes and the more you use it up? I don't know? I'm just happy I can use this scent now.

Gabi0401

I’m so sad this perfume didn’t work for me, from the notes I thought I would love it and it has such great reviews I felt like it was a safe blind buy it wasn’t. As another reviewer says, on my skin, there is no dry down, no evolution whatsoever… only the orange flower note and nothing else, reminds me of the perfume older ladies would wear when I was a kid.
I will be gifting my bottle of Roberto Cavalli.

Update: I gifted my bottle to my mother in law and she absolutely loved it

Savage1

I bought this perfume as a blind buy due to the recommendation of a YouTube perfume influencer that has steered me in the right direction on several other scents. Not this one. This was super sweet / cloying on me without depth. There wasn't any dry down. The smell of RC didn't change at all. Eventually after about 3 hours, I had to scrub it off. Oh well, at least it wasn't expensive.

lanabroz

Orange blossom overdose!!!

As I'm not into floral perfumes but i still like this one I decided it to be my beach perfume.
So the season of Roberto Cavalli is officially open.

I find it sexy, exotic, dominant.

The orange blossom is the main note, (which means, if you're not fan, don't go for it) but tonka, vanilla and amber do their job perfectly.

Long lasting, enough projecting, and safe blind buy.

Tinabill

Ooh La La.
This is classic femininity at its best.
Roberto Cavalli EDP strikes an amazing balance between being mature but sweet and fun, sophisticated but with a little spicy sexiness, friendly but a tad mysterious. It gets you noticed but not overwhelmed by attention, it’s rich and with a strong character, but still warm and welcoming, has some aspects of old school, but still modern.
The orange blossom is glorious somewhere between fresh and warm. The magnificent base flows with mysterious Tonka and resinous benzoin, as well as very sweet vanilla. It has average performance and suits more of the autumn months.
Libre intense’ youngest aunt 😂

TankGirl

After years testing this I finally went for a 30ml to use this Summer, we are going to Sicily so I wanted something sexy and fun but still sophisticated.
RC fits that bill nicely, it opens with a blast of uplifting pink pepper, and then morphs into this chic orange, tonka concotion that is sweet but floral in a good measure. This is not a casual scent but its still versatile and can be used in all seasons depending on how much you apply. It can easily become a go-to or signature due to it's no brainer sexy put together nature.

Chrisandra

This is a strong, long lasting and luxurious perfume, if used properly.
I applied 1 single spray tonight and it imediately filled the entire room.
It is mainly an evening fragrance, to be worn during colder months (October/November till March/April, depending on your geographical area).
In order for a fragrance to last longer on skin, it is best to apply first a fragrance-free vaseline product on freshly cleansed skin, then to spray on pulse points and behind ears/neck.
I have a feeling that the ones complaining below of poor performance of this fragrance didn't apply it correctly ;)

Joani_Cheddar

For those that feel this scent is non existent- ask someone else can they smell u- u may have become anosmic to the perfume. This is a powerhouse orange blossom, amber, vanilla extremely similar to JPG (which is also a major scent whore). This scent lingers and hangs out, long after u r gone- it can sometimes become an unwanted loud guest that wont go away. MUST LIKE ORANGE BLOSSOM

zenithince

It's a great scent! I bought it as a gift for my sister and fell in love with it myself. Vintage, modern, balanced, mature. Not too sweet, more elegant and sexy. what more can you ask for!

jcaberg

It stays all day on my dried-up mummy skin. Really warm tonka/vanilla base. Good value, as always with Cavalli!

Mira20040313

Got this as a present - I like it. Its quite straight forward, I mostly get vanilla and orange blossom, but its a nice combo. I think it could be worn during the springtime due to the floral notes, but it could be heavy for summer. Although, I wouldn't necessarily call this a heavy fragrance, since the orange blossom gives it an airy and light aura, and the vanilla isn't cloying. On the skin it doesn't last very long, but if you spray it on your clothes/hair its much better.

ScentJunkie5366

WHY??? Why can't anyone make a fragrance that actually LASTS, anymore?? I have a ton of perfumes. Of those, I have exactly TWO that actually last on the skin. Milk+ (Bold) by Commodity and Delina but Delina only projects for a short period of time. Delina Exclusif projects a little longer but I prefer the original. Back in the day (late 80's early 90's) you couldn't find a fragrance that didn't last! I got Poison on my 17th birthday and that bad boy was eternal on skin and clothes. It was all I could smell when I wore it. I smelled the newer version and put it on and within an hour it was like it never existed!! I love Roberto Cavalli but it's nonexistent after 30 minutes!! What's the point???!!

Perhaps the saddest point is that it doesn't last long. When I first sprayed it, the feeling it left on my body and the scent it emitted attracted people's attention, but I didn't get many comments. The scent stays on your clothes, but not in a common way, you have to bring your nose closer. It is not a perfect lasting perfume, but you get those warm notes. If you are looking for a temporary perfume, you can choose it.

GUADELUPA

It's a scent of soft and tender vanille. The fragrance is a little bit sweet, but not cloying. It can be used for evenings, dating as well as for office and business negotiations. It's very versatile scent. I can smell even hazelnuts, although they are not listed here, maybe tonka beans are playing so, but for me these are real hazelnuts covered by delicate vanille. The fragrance is comfortable for wearing at any time of the year. Longevity is from average to good, sillage is intimate, close to the skin. It's very beautiful scent suitable for any occasions and any ages. I would say, it's already classical perfume.

Lyric82

I feel stupid for buying this one. I saw in the reminds me section of JPG Classique Essence, this was listed. And I greatly enjoy Classique essence, but it was recently discontinued so bottles are on short supply and the prices are hiked up. So I saw this and thought perfect, I’ll just get that to substitute. Nope. Bad idea. They are similar in the way that they both have an orange blossom note. That’s it.

This fragrance has a really strange and off putting plasticky quality to the scent. It makes me feel somewhat nauseous. I really don’t like it. And there’s not a lot of fragrances that I would actually call bad… rather that they just aren’t for me. But this one… this one I think is actually bad.

Virtually any other sweet orange blossom scent will have more in common with jpg Classique essence than this. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Don’t blind buy this.

Brighter44

This is the worst blind buy ever. Talcum
Powder nightmare wannabe oriental.

SnowIce

Dissappointment. Quite a nice perfume, but weak strength and duration. Might suit a young girl.

SickenedButCurious

I was gifted this by a friend, so i got no idea if this is a good value for your money. But I'd never buy it anyway. When you first spray you get immediately a strong scent of what I'm assuming is the pink pepper note. It immediately mellows down to the middle notes. For me, on my skin, it doesn't smell good at all. It's warm, but to me it reminds me too much of urine. When it does dry down I can't smell the vanilla or tonka beans at all. It just stays at the horrid urine smell.

To my nose, it smells very artificial and just so generic. It reminds me of those cheap perfumes you'd get as a teenager that didn't have any great value or smell to them. Overall, never buy again and would not recommend unless this miraculously compliments that person.

Joamy

There are very few fragrances that I don't like, but something in this is so sweet it turns my stomach.

I kept hoping it would go away or lessen in the dry down, but it is so strong. If you like that sweet smell that I can't identify then this is your jam! Just not mine unfortunately 😕 This is a beast and projects and lasts very well.

golden

I was going back and forth with this one. Until I read Plumpies review. Sold! I thought. Haha.
It’s a lovely floral, slightly sweet, not cloying, it smells a little like Giordani Gold Original Oriflame for women. To my nose, but longer lasting.
It’s a creamy dreamy floral, that I think would work well in all occasions. Also for spring and the Summer months.
I am quite surprised by this, as I expected it may be too cloying and Uber sweet. But it’s not.
I tried this year’s ago, and I remember I wasn’t that keen. But, I don’t know what happened?? It’s been a big turnaround.
It’s a well blended perfume, in that, I don’t feel any sharp edges, nothing really screams out to me, it’s perfect for those days , where you just want to smell “ pretty “ nothing overly complex, nothing to over analise. Just a good staple in your perfume wardrobe.
I’m ver happy I have it.
Thank you Plumpie! This is why I love Fragrantica. People take their time to write an honest review, and I truly appreciate that. 😊

aldinatic

A nice dreamy, ambery perfume.
Funny that amber isn't listed as a note.
Its soft, inoffensive and feminine.

Gyps

Very nice scent at a good price. I don’t know why people on here call it old, it’s down to what you like, don’t blame your dislike on age. Call it for what it is and don’t be so insulting to others. Anyhoo, nice scent for the office.

Rozalina

Hmmm. There’s a sweet, candied almost green quality to the orange flower (maybe that’s just the pink pepper that I’m reading as green?). It makes me think of an obscure European hard candy that my grandpa would pull out of his pocket. This is somewhere in between an early 2000s clubbing vibe and a “classic” Bijan-type 90s amber vibe (but this is way smoother and not as heady as those tend to be). Right now I’m not loving this perfume on me, but there is something interesting about it that makes me want to keep trying until I DO love it.

Kcbear28

I don't really quite understand comments about smelling cheap and old lady business. You like what you like. Certain smells remind you of certain people, feels and eras, yeah, I get that. I mean I like music from Frank Sinata and Mo Town, does it make me an old lady? I'm also into K Pop and popular fruity fragrances. Does it mean I'm also juvenile? On second thought I don't mind being called juvenile actually lol

Anyhoo, this fragrance on me is a vanilla and ambery bomb which is so comforting in the thick of winter. Very heady, very rich, very spicy and has the similar DNA as those 90s powerhouses as someone mentioned below. I can see why it's rather polarising. I mean if you are into light, refreshing fragrances, do not even consider it. Its unapologetically strong and sometimes makes you wonder if you are in a gas chamber in the best possible way lol I wouldn't suggest wearing in hot weather as it can turn cloying. Personally, I like this a lot. One of my all time "I have arrived " sort of perfumes.

Not safe to blind buy

Ceevee963

Strong, ambery goodness definitely suited for colder weather. I get all of the notes listed and love the first 10 minutes. The dry down is too peppery for me right now but I feel like this will grow on me as I get on into my 40s. Definitely getting a more mature vibe from this one.

Suncica7

Bought this when it first went out- autumn 2012! And I lived in Alps back then. Gooooood...
I was very young- almost 21, I disagree with ppl saying this is old lady scent. I found it to be what you want from a perfume when you can only have just one and 30ml. Just one! :D
I wanted sth that will more than anything make me feel sexy, put me in a mood, make me go salsa dancing, warm me up in the snow, make me feel alive. Make me want to pack my bags and move to Havana. Live in the summer the whole year. This is what it is. And apart from moving to Havana- I did all the rest- sleepless dancing in latino clubs while outside was snowing. Magic.

Now, I have a little bottle of this just to have sth for some times, when I go dancing or when I attend some crazy party.. It is not every day for my nose, not even every night out because it has strong attention grab. Maybe that is the memory power it has on me- I strictly use it when I go dancing hahaha... even though it is a magical, and unusual vanilla orange scent that also gives me honey honey honey..

WifeyPink

Beautiful in the bottle but has a weird baby wipe note on my skin unfortunately. Gave it to my mom smells great on her.

PLUMPIE

Fans of 90s florals should try this one as despite the initial sweetness it is a beautiful nineties orange blossom floral with hints of pollen yellow flowers and lots of proper vanilla no cupcake vanilla extract, the real beans. I get jasmine and a grape note like Tuberose though these aren't listed. If you like Avon Rare Gold, JPG Classique EDP, Givenchy Organza or Lancome Poeme this is a modern treat. Always on clearance so worth a try for the price incase it disappears soon.

Detman101

Welp, another one for the wife.
Definitely can't swing this one...it's strictly feminine.

alexisimpavid

I love this perfume! It's been my signature scent for years. Smells luxurious, seductive and oriental. It can't go unnoticed, so I recommend it to a stronger personality. I first smelled it on my mom but I didn't like it that much, it dries down differently on each skin so you either love it or hate it. On me it dries down quickly and becomes creamy, vanilla smelling which I like and not that powerful, only people close to you can smell it after 30mins or so.

Marina.Klr

So luxurious, sweet and sexy ! orange blossom dipped in liquid, golden amber. Here the vanilla it’s fascinating and captivating, the whole composition has an enchanting smell! In my opinion it’s more suitable for nighttime and for really wintery cold days, but if you have a powerful personality you can pull it off all the time, all year round - Excellent price, quality, longevity and projection!

AllyMage

I bought thisbin the summer when I found it at Marshall's. The Benzoin almost killed me. I had to set it aside until we got closer to fall and now we've finally had our first bought of cooler weather here, I can smell the potential. It's. Very sweet, beautiful, deep,, mature scent. I just need the right weather to be able to wear it.

karamelle

Smelled this on paper and it smelt like bubble gum. It’s the same bubble gummy scent the Armani My Way has. Not a fan

MonicaCloud

Very warm scent, yet very light and linear. Joyful and feminine throughout.

Lindsconn

This is a very rich amber and vanilla fragrance. It gives off powerful woman from the 80’s. The woman who wears this knows just what she wants.

It can be quite an intimidating and full on fragrance. This is something you wear when you want to be noticed!

The projection and lasting power are great on this one. And I would say it is best suited to autumn and winter nights

townej

Very sexy but a bit too mature for me at this point.

sigperf

I normally don't like anything too strong or overpowering, but this is just the perfect blend for me! It's sweet and a bit spicy, definitely has that sexy and elegant vibe. I only have to spray it a couple times for it to last all day on my skin. It's definitely a more dark, sweet vibe that is perfect for a night out or just to feel sophisticated!!

MiniMena

Roberto Cavali is a beautiful, unsweetened spicy vanilla. I feel it's soft and sophisticated with a touch of mystery. Feels like walking in a sun dappled birch tree forest, feet crunching on the dried leaves. It has a gorgeous african orange flower and peppery opening which nuances in an earthy, cozy, vanilla scent in drydown. It reminds me of a much softer version Ciara by Coty. Longevity is moderate. I absolutely love this fragrance!

Ferra_Verto

Very similar to Jil Sander's Sun, one of my favorites. Bright orange flower coupled with amber, vanilla, tonka, & benzoin. Altogether gives a liquified lightly liquored peach effect that lasts for ages.
I prefer in warmer months, it just works better in the heat than without, but it can work all year round. Very affordable and definitely worth adding to a collection.

smellgewd1

Bought this because it is said to have very similar smell to kayali white flower. Imo, it's not.

Kayali is fresher, spicy, aromatic that reminds me of flowers and incense.

And this one is ambery-creamy-vanilla that reminds me of chanel no 5 but modernized and younger.
Guess it would suit women with age 35up.

This is very longlasting and eventhough i don't really love it, but i feel like i would wear this pretty often layered with my rihanna nude

Princessy

Very rich and classic scent.

The opening is stunning as a huge fan of orange blossom. Unfortunately the dry down is weird on my skin. I don't like it on me but it's stunning on my mum

It's close to JPG Classique Essence, but it's less sweet and more on the ambery side.

Vanillalover100

Funny how this perfume gets me the most compliments but i can't stand the scent itself and gives me a headache too. IT'S VERY ORIENTAL. I don't think it's for everyone

Alice611

GORGEOUS!! - wow this is so beautiful.it blows me away a little bit I don’t know what it is but I just adore it! I get like a creamy mango note but that may be the African orange flower.whatever it is it’s really beautiful.it’s got a lovely warm comforting sexy amber base to It too .I can picture spraying this after a long hot day out In the sun, your fresh out of the shower, you put on a light floaty maxi dress your skin is all tanned from the sun you go down to a beautiful restaurant by the beach and sip on ice cold cocktails watching the sun set.🍹

Ashleypaige

If you love orange blossom you’ll love this. I don’t get a lot of vanilla and this isn’t a super gourmand fragrance. At first sniff I thought it smelled too mature for me but the more I smell it the more I love it. I don’t think it’s a safe blind buy unless you love orange blossom. It smells like a classy business women.

sonasona

I bought blind. Expectations were high according to the reviews, but it doesn't smell good to me. It doesn't smell luxurious or cheap (I was expecting the scent of a cheap bitch) Unfortunately, the scent doesn't even smell like a nasty girl. It just doesn't smell like anything. Like a cleanser. I won't buy next time, it didn't appeal to me at all. it doesn't stink but it doesn't smell nice either. I imagine the beautiful scent differently

Kalexander1710

I’m not really sure what happened with this fragrance. I purchased and I thought it was so beautiful but not an everyday wear. Time passed and I never reached for it. I’m trying to declutter my collection now and I hate this now. I sprayed it on to give it a good test to make sure I wanted to get rid of it and I couldn’t stand it. It’s very ambery and there’s vanilla that comes through but not a gourmand vanilla, pretty subtle. The benzoin is the part that is rubbing me the wrong way. Possibly the weather could play into how this smells but I have too many fragrances to hang onto one in the hopes that maybe one day I will like it.

sibaraa

Sweet, classic, heady white floral.

Lolafraglover

I can detect (at least on me) the vanilla standing out. It's a sharp sweet juice, kind of creamy, reminds me of summer, bronzers and beach, in a good way. Very feminine and lasts pretty good. I'm not enchanted, but very pleased!

TriFrtaljČetri

Very oriental, too cloying, long lasting tho.
To me simply unpleasant scent... Kind of nauseating....or maybe just 'too old for me'
Definitely not easy to wear fragrance.

EmS84

This was love at first sniff, before even spraying it just smelling the cap. It literally blew me away right of the bat.

Its rich, elegant and comforting. It is a kind of mature smell, which isn't really my kind of fragrance but this one is an exception.

I just can't get enough of this scent, I find myself sniffing my wrists and my clothes all the time wearing this. On me, it projects well and the staying power is really, really good. Especially on clothes but skin as well.

Besides from my all time love/signature scent, this is my favourite perfume hands down. I love this so much!

melusina1982

So sultry and decadent. It is very well done, all the notes work in harmony to make a great ambery floral that can be worn both in cold and hot temps.

I really, really like it on me but it puts Stifler's mum on my mind every time I wear it. I love her but it's not my vibe.

Tashr96

I’m so baffled by the general consensus that this is an elegant rich smelling perfume, this smells screechy & cheap to me.
I even asked my boyfriend (who tends to be quite easily pleased when it comes to fragrances) what he thought and he replied that it smelt like “a generic crappy perfume”
But so many people love this and get a vibe of opulence from it so I guess it just doesn’t work well with me? But yeah, at the very best it’s basic and indistinguishable - I would give this bottle away for free
Lasting power is good unfortunately, looks like I’ll be taking a second shower this morning

fformoso88

This is a really great fragrance and the price is right too! I originally got this fragrance as a gift for my mom and when I smelt it I fell in love! It’s right up my alley and the notes in this are what I prefer in fragrances. It smells kind of vintage which I actually like. Like something that Cindy Crawford would be wearing down the runway in the 90’s. But it still smells modern, gorgeous and well balanced. This isn’t a overly sweet vanilla but a mature, classy, sexy, boss B! Scent! It smells kind of niche to me almost like Parfums De Marly Safanad which I also love. I definitely recommend it!

FlowerBabe

Gorgeous blend of orange blossom, amber and vanilla. Beautiful bottle, it's sweet and feminine. Glad I got it after a blind buy, it's now part of the Top 5 in my collection. Love it!

forallinose

A rather boring, inoffensive fragrance. I'll keep it. However, I don't think I'll reach for it very often.

mnegrona

Blind buy at Marshalls. I read the notes and it has a lot of my favorites. The opening was wonderful for me, with the orange flower being the star, it was very fleeting though, as it disappeared in less than one minute. Then it's just benzoin. Too much of it. I'm just looking to find a good fragrance to layer it with so I can wear it.

Rarara

no shame in loving high quality extra loud bubblegum fragrances! this is a nice candy sweet formulation that avoids the more animalistic synthetic musks so it should stay true on most people. i am always sparing when i spray perfume, and extra sparing with this one because it is very loud. would be a perfect fragrance for one of those perfuming paint pens. great for going out with girls.

Applecross_bitch

My mum had Chanel N°5 and this kinda smells like a colder/cheaper version.

Silage: 6/10 (5-6cm trail)
Scent: 3.33/10
Longevity: 4.5/10 (4/5 hrs)

I unfortunately don’t smell the listed notes much, I get amber booze and peach(?) with a lot of spicy pink pepper. This is a cold scent with warm notes. Continuous random Enveloping of smells while wearing though… but kinda cold spicy on the skin for hours. The faint sweet tonka at the end that I keep randomly sniffing is the only thing holding this together.
I SOOO get SOPRANOS vibes from this and to be specific: Adriana La Cerva. Like I do love that character but whoever where’s this ;
-u (try to) have expensive tastes, u wear designer clothes with big brand logos, and you have a boyfriend who’s a criminal and not a good one either because if he was hunny u wouldn’t be resorting to wearing this xo

GlamG17

Total blind purchase as 90 percent of my perfumes are and boy is this a goody. I love amber and this for me is pure vanilla and amber. I do get the Alien comments but this is less overpowering but is both mature and sexy. I’m in my thirties and feel as though I can just about get away with this , I feel as though if you are younger it would smell like your Mum or Auntie lent you this! If that makes sense. Great blind buy based on fab reviews and the price you pay is amazing as it smells classy and expensive.

VMonster

First impressions: Super sweet white floral vanilla with a honeyed benzoin dry down. This is love at first sniff! Perfumes have to be strong for me to be into them lately and this did not disappoint. Found at Marshall’s for $20. The bottle and packaging aren’t my vibe personally, but they remind me of one of my fave fictional characters, the iconic Adriana LaCerva from The Sopranos. She would have totally rocked this fragrance like she rocked the Cavalli tiger print dress in the series! This is the perfume for an Italian-American gangster princess (meant in the best way!) and I am truly living for the vibe. It is gold and glam.

This perfume is like Chopard Casmir and YSL Libre’s love child.

lynnphi

I was intrigued by this perfume after seeing some recommendations for it in the forums so I blind bought it. On the initial spray, I definitely get an assertive, 90s vibe of aldehydes and yellow flowers. Initially I smell a lot of the fruityness from the pink pepper and the orange flower is big, not like a demure orange blossom. It gave me Lancome Tresor or Poeme vibes, two perfumes I admired on others but hated on myself. An hour later, it still retains its floral, almost peachy boozyness but does not get sharp or screechy the way some cheaper perfumes do on my skin. I finally took the plunge and sprayed right onto my chest and amazingly, no headache, no nausea - for a perfume this bold, this is a first for me.

I can't wait to wear this out as I think it will have a decent sillage. I think this is a great, more affordable alternative to Hedonist by Viktoria Minya.

Fraghag

Goes on smelling like a mid-to-upscale woman in a dress and cashmere shawl, dries down to smell like her kid’s crayons.

natluvly

Blind bought this a few months ago but have not worn it yet eventhough I love it! This is not really an everyday scent but then again it is. Idk but I think this could be a great choice for a signature scent because its kind of unique for what it is but its also very womanly and inexpensive so one could easily find this and repurchase it once used up.

This reminds me of D&G red cap in feel but its not the same scent. This just has an older vintage type vibe and wears like scents from the 80s and 90s. I love this about it but it also has a modern quality as well. A very great value in my opinion and yes great for a "sophisticated" date night but is still playful.

Aiga1

A less sweet version of Paradiso Assoluto, really reminds me of that, but since I like sweet scents, I prefer the other one.

ScentedPlaza

It's a classy perfume with a sophisticated easy going vibe. This scent somehow reminds me of fresh white lilies. An all year round fragrance. There is an enjoyable bitter note in it - a juicy orange with a bitter peel? A well rounded, but linear. Smells quite expensive (a big surprise considering the price). A satin sheen dress & a glass of champagne comes to mind. Has that mature (in a good way), sexy and festive vibe.

townej

Maybe it's just my skin chemistry but my initial eyes rolling into the back of my head type love I experienced upon first sniff quickly turned into just like, meh, once I actually wore this perfume a couple of times to the point where I've decided this one is not for me. Although I can see why it's very likable, especially to guys. I just found it to be a bit too cloying and generic smelling on my skin.

KohlEyedNessie

Saw this on a perfume shop at an irresistible price, and the bottle helped to draw me in. Which is a bit strange, because usually the aesthetics of Cavalli give me the shivers. Still, I’m glad I got past that impression, and I’m glad to have this perfume: I wouldn’t say it’s a hands-down favorite, but I do like it a lot for certain moments of the year.

From the first spray, Roberto Cavalli reminds me a bit of the kind of heavy-hitters, loaded with white flowers and resins, that were so typical of the 80s and early 90s, specifically the type of perfumes that my mother, aunts and their women friends usually wore for dinners and dressy events; this is only a resemblance, though, I wouldn’t classify this as a downright vintage scent.

Described like this, it seems it will end up being on the heavy side, but it doesn’t feel that way to me: as it dries it mellows, a pleasant and not too-sweet vanilla surfaces, and on the whole I find it to be a comforting spring / autumn perfume, or even for the odd cool night in summer.

In fact, I find that in deep winter this perfume does not “bloom” as much as it could, so it’s not something I would choose for very cold days. On me it lasts a good 5/6 hours before drawing close to the skin, and although it projects less than one would expect, I would advise caution when spritzing: avoid going over 2-3 sprays.

fmangion

This is a beautiful warm, cosy, creamy, sexy vanilla. It smells expensive and I love wearing this during the colder months. I had gotten a bottle of JPG Classique Essence de Parfum recently, not realizing how similar they smell and it does but personally I find this one way way better and less "orange soda" smelling which is all I get from Classique Essence. Absolutely adore this one so happy with it !

Sonelma

I had it, and was kinda addicted to it. Summery, sexy, sweet, but not the teenage way. Great dry down; thick, warm, vanilla. One could maybe find some synthetic notes in it, but sometimes that is the thing that makes a scent interesting to me. (Maybe my taste is a bit peculiar in that way). To me it had something very balmy - bubblegummy - lotion like undertone, which I found somehow unique and addictive!

OzzyEyes

Date night in a bottle! This is a fragrance for a woman who knows her sexual power. It is mature but I think a classy woman 35+ could pull it off!

TabledThoughts

Tooth achingly sweet
mature candy scent.
Quite synthetic.
Affordable.
Surprisingly wearable.
Drydown is best here.
May be mistaken for cheap hooker perfume.

Stoicchild

An expensive vanilla scent. The dry down becomes very sweet on me. Overpriced for the poor performance. This perfume doesn't live up to it's hype. I'm surprised due to Roberto Cavalli being a famous designer made such poor decisions when it came to perfumes. This has a very poor projection, but it's initial approach is mind blowing. It'll drive you crazy and you'd want to purchase it, but you won't be able to smell it after an hour. Louise Turner makes the weakest perfumes!

Emoody

I LOVE smelling this on a girl.
Smells like a matured woman having candy

Millefolium

This! Surprisingly fantastic! It's strong, floral, and there's no synthetic ambroxan note! Well balanced, great longevity and sillage.
The balsamic note is what sets it apart from ordinary amber/florals.
An underrated fragrance. Inexpensive too.

Endlessfumes

one of the very few femme scents that i like and i can wear very occasionally.
to my nose it is peach everywhere! reminds me of a very underrated supermarket scent called Sunset Cafe' Avalon Peach.

Rachelle spier

I love this perfume for a fall/winter evening. It’s sweet vanilla but with a deep amber. To me it’s very balsamic and smells sexy. Pretty great lasting on me & it’s also one that I can smell on myself for hours (so many perfumes go nose blind on myself). I found it at Marshall’s / TJ Maxx for $20 and I’m totally impressed!

MoonGirl

Very similar to Avon Rare Gold.

emmascents

Warm, spicy and comforting. This scent does not present as overly sweet on me, more of a floral vanilla. Very balsamic (I'm getting a lot of the benzoin - but not in a bad way!). I love this for winter and it smells much, much, more expensive than what it is. Louise Turner strikes again!

moringa

A successful blind buy for me based on the notes of orange blossom, white flowers, and benzoin/tonka. It invokes the color gold. Reminds me a lot of Elie Saab "Girl of Now" but I found "Girl of Now" a bit too sweet whereas this fragrance feels more "mature" but in a way that exudes a self-possessed sophistication. As someone whose skin eats perfume, was pleasantly surprised by the moderate sillage and the longevity and could catch whiffs of it the next morning.

jasiepooh

i don't like this fragrance. the opening, which is okay, somehow reminds me of sparkling champagne and i find it a little bubbly and 'fizzy.' as the scent develops, it becomes very sharp amber, very tonka, and very tuberose which comes across as cloying and overwhelming.

to my nose, this perfume is very reminiscent of OFF insect repellant, Raid, and the sort of 'perfume' carried by a lot of bug sprays. it also seems a bit vintage, which is not my love. overall, i'm really not a fan. in terms of longevity and sillage though, those are certainly both there.

scent: 2/10
longevity: 9/10
sillage: 9/10

Shellyscents

Screechy pink pepper that lacks rosiness. Soft grape syrup, not a true orange blossom. This orange flower smells like tuberose to me, much like Couture Couture by Juicy Couture. Not a safe blind buy unless grapey scents are enjoyed.

fgamz

Top notes are AH-MAY-ZING!! I definitely smelt that bubblegum quality but only lasted a few seconds but it was delicious!

Now the main perfume smell has a very animilistic scent about it. It sort of the same vibes from l'elephant from Kenzo. It has a tigress/cougar/cat like energy which isn't for a youthful audience but I didn't mind it. But indeed very sexy, and mature, but not like old lady mature, but I can see why some would smell it that way (the tonka/benzoin is very heady)

This smelt a lot like "tuberose/jasmine dipped in a dark, boozy syrup" . Although they aren't listed it has a very white floral jasmine smell and a very strong (deep) syrup smell. I definitely think from the benzion and tonka bean BUT can also fall into a synthetic category if I'm honest.

I was also expecting something light but it's very dense and dark. I felt this might be too much for summer although it's winter here now I might need to retest it in hotter weather because it does give off "safari" vibes.

EDIT: ok so I sprayed 3 sprays and usually scents don't last at all on me, this one lasted ALL day! I kid you not this is an amazing revelation for me from a $30 perfume! This definitely exceeded my expectations. I did wear this at work also, hm, definitely not work friendly. Despite this perfume being linear i.e. stays the same throughout the journey, it definitely has a few faces, it does have its sweet and light moments, then dark and dense moments. I would NOT blind buy this, but I suppose I got lucky because I do like it!

Does not fall into toilet spray category.

AndreaValerie

I am testing this in the summer and may update this review in the winter but for now I have fallen in love entirely with this fragrance, I've just received my 50ml bottle in the mail 2 days ago and am already purchasing a 75ml! This is everything I've ever looked for. It's sweet and feminine and floral, a little oriental. It has become my favourite scent ever. It lasts fairly well with around 6 hours with decent projection and sillage, I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this fragrance. On that note, this to me smells very similar to Armani My Way, I'm not sure if it's just my nose as I was looking through the reviews and similar perfumes and can't see anyone else seeing the similarity but as soon as I sprayed it, it reminded me of my way, and very coincidentally in my package I had also received a little tester for my way so I spritz one on one wrist and the other on the other and they are incredibly similar, not identical but from first impressions they are very similar, the dry down was slightly different with Roberto Cavalli leaning more vanilla/oriental and my way staying more floral but still not very different. Either way this is an incredible fragrance and I couldn't be more in love with it!

ceeceelee

If this one hadn't had so much orange blossom/white flowers, I'd have been wearing this one for a few weeks straight. I was hoping for a softly spiced, vanilla heavy, benzoin/tonka dream. I debated fiercely with myself, but ultimately that orange blossom just overwhelmed my nose, so back it went. I'm still searching for a vanilla/tonka/benzoin that I can wear everyday without having to ration myself. And the search continues.............................

Sparkleball22

I was very attracted by the notes and reviews but if you’re not into tuberose beware! A reviewer below nailed it and I didn’t believe so bought it blind. I love most flowers but tuberose makes me feel dizzy and sick to my tummy and my gut will always tell me. It is an unlisted sneakily snuck power flower. Haven’t had a migraine in years so I washed it off after awhile because I felt the sign of one starting. I wish I could sense vanilla and benzoin. This one just didn’t go well with my nose! Maybe not a totally safe blind buy for all.

Tekiya08

If Kilians Love Don’t Be Shy and Alien had a baby it would smell similar to this. Not a fan of Love by itself but I’ve actually paired them and loved it.

Gwenhwyfar

Amazing warm nostalgic scent! I agree with Perfumelady88 that the "mature" aspect is there, but in this case it only adds beauty to the scent. So many associations flashed by when I first sprayed it - like a kaleidoscope of memories that may or may not be my own. To me it's evoking of a decade in which I was very young - mid-90s to mid-2000s. I see in reviews that for some people it's evocative of 70s, or 80s. It's peculiar how for different people a scent that may be called old-fashioned or dated, brings up a completely different time period in their mind. I tried other RC scents and liked them OK. Even thought of buying some of them, but would always put it off for next time. So when I saw today this little gem on discount I decided to finally go for it and just buy one RC blindly. I really love it right away, which doesn't happen often with blind buys. Just wish it was a little longer-lasting.

la.femme.scent

Bought this today at Marshall's for only $17. The cashier was even telling me how lovely the scent is. This was a blind buy due to the reviews on here and on YouTube, and for that price I had to try it out, even though I would pass it up in the past.

So, I sprayed it about 2-3 hours ago to get the full effect. It was love at first spray. The opening was so euphoric that my eyes widened in amazement and to my surprise the reviews were right and not over-hyped. The scent was so resinous, round, full and a balsam dream. I think it was the benzoin coming at me head first!

Sadly, it didn't last long and was fleeting; it left as quick as it came. It settles into the orange blossom rather quickly, smelling cirtus-y, like the oils from the zest of an orange but also powdery. I don't really smell the vanilla, but instead smell something like resinous amber. Also something in the opening reminded of the Guerlain DNA.

It is spicy and I feel the the spiciness in my nose and lungs, a bit, rather than smell, but nothing alarming (similar to black pepper). The tonka also leans slightly spicy like coumarin rather than sweet. But the spice isn't too strong either.

And for some reason this fragrance smells like something you'd smell in Europe, specifically southern Italy. Like this would be a popular perfume scent in that area, similar to how oud is a popular scent in the middle east.

But this is mostly an orange blossom scent. Also, I tried it on someone else and it smelled a little more green on her, like maybe notes of the green leaves from the orange blossom tree, and the citrus leaned more sharp on her and more powdery and balsamic on me.

For my first impression, I like it! And is well worth the money and I imagine it being a good fragrance to mix and layer with.

Update: (10.6.2021) I've changed my mind, the more I wear this perfume the less I like it, so I've changed my rating from "like" to "dislike". I even regret blind-buying it even though it's inexpensive. But you get what you pay for, because the more I wear it the more I notice how cheap it smells. I suspect it's the quality of the benzoin that messing up this fragrance for me. It smells like the same benzion grade used in topical ointments which makes it smell more medicinal and cheap.
Also, I've been testing it in the transitioning weather, and it surprisingly does better in the warmer weather. I get more of the orange blossom (which I do like in this perfume) in warmer temps instead of the all the benzoin and pepper in the cooler temps.

KumoKing

It's a very beautiful artificial vanilla fragrance housed in a sandcastle made of brown sugar. It's nice. The opening is the best part in my opinion. Sadly, that lasts only about 15 seconds. The rest is a nice vanilla but a bit sharp in a way that pokes at the back of my nose. I wish the vanilla was softer, deeper, creamier, more natural.

My roommates did compliment it. But it's just OK to me.

Perfumelady88

I bought this at Marshalls for $16.99. And wow it was a pleasant surprise. Many reviews kept saying how "mature" this smelled. It had me thinking it was meant for a lady 60+. Now while a teenager or someone in their early 20s may not like it, it's not an old lady scent. It's for a grown woman who's confident and knows what she wants. I find it very sexy. It makes me think of putting on a dressy outfit and going on a hot date somewhere nice and elegant. It's deep and dark but very alluring. This is a great gem if you can find it at Marshalls/TJMAXX. So far, I've been wearing it for 2 hours and I can still smell it.

RainbowGirl

I cannot believe this is my only Roberto Cavalli fragrance, and the only one I have tested. This smells so divine. Classy. Sexy.

The pink pepper in the opening is slight. Makes this feel classy at first spray. The deep vanilla and warm tonka bean, are freshened by the beautiful African orange flower. A most amazing orange scented flower.

This was an instant love. The moment it sprayed.... love all over.

There is a delicious almost... oily? scent in this fragrance. Is it the benzoin? All of the notes in this fragrance are in perfect harmony. Such a deeply satisfying sweet warm fragrance.

I absolutely MUST try some of the other Roberto Cavalli fragrances.

Claire brad

If they made a niche fragrance of this beauty with performance it would be my heroin.

Stunning sex bomb of a fragrance but my skin eats it up, roberto cavalli has a great nose. Bring out an exclusive extrait version i would be all over it.

Dulcette91

My favorite white floral with vanilla and citrus. Roberto Cavalli makes some of the most AMAZING, affordable sexy summer scents out there, and I'm so in love, I need them all. The amber makes for a sweet, musky, creamy base that lingers, the opening is a blast of creamy white florals. It's not sharp at all, it's sweet and sultry and definitely a compliment getter. The sillage and longevity are incredible - I get compliments after wearing it for hours. I'm almost done with my bottle and dreading using up the last drop. Next on my wishlist is Gemma Di Paradiso - after testing it a few weeks ago I am officially addicted.

r0r0

Tried this from a tester at the chemist today. This is the first time I've ever knowingly smelled it, and I am confused. So confused. If the notes added tuberose and incense and removed the orange blossom then they'd reflect what I'm smelling on my wrist. Smells retro, in a kind of 1970s way. I suspect this one may change a fair bit depending on skin chemistry, based on my experience with it compared to what I'm reading in other reviews.

VioletOrchid

I braced myself for a beautiful scent and I got cough medicine in the opening which was a bit off putting. Thankfully, it was gone. What was left was vanilla amber base with white florals dancing through every now and again. Benzoin is not very prominent to my nose. The vanilla note is the same as gemma di paradiso which is awesome. I do not draw much similarity between this frag and alien at all.

Lizabs68

Lovely scent….

theuntrainednose

I own a sample, it's almost finishing, new review with updated opinion.

---

My opinion of this perfume has evolved over the years. Either my tastes changed/evolved or the perfume sample changed due to evaporation and I enjoy it more. I believe it is the former: I now appreciate benzoin more.

As I said last year:
"Orange blossoms, resins and something heady but not heavy. Cozy but has something unusual for me. A few years ago I described it as soapy, but now I would say it has something incense-y and intellectual too, and yet something of Marseille soap, but abstractified.

It now smells more unusual to my nose, and each time I smell it I enjoy it more. Unusual but not "in your face". Interesting. "

I must add now: round and balanced. Gives me a sensation of grounding. Of serenity and embodiment. I am surprised how long the orange blossom note lasts, hours on my skin, and how, even though the benzoin note is very strong, the other notes manage to get through in waves and make my experience of this fragrance a non-linear one.

It's a strong "like", almost a "love". I would be happy to receive it.

soumayaela

I really do enjoy this perfume! Sweet mong lasting but the benzoïn is toooo strong and gives me plastic or chemical vibes!
I liked it at first but now i can't stand it! I really love the orange blossom in it

lunarxphase

Got a bottle of this for the first time. Upon first spray I wasn’t sure that I liked it — it instantly reminded me of Alien which is a scent I am not too keen on. I reapplied after about an hour and now I’m thinking how impressive it is that it has been able to grow on me this quickly! I won’t rate it yet (love or like) because I change my mind so frequently about scents... but I am impressed for sure and thanks to RC I may give Alien another chance...

Tifffyy

I really like the dry down on this fragrance, something about it reminds very much of Alien, it’s not quite as soft or powdery as alien, but a little bit sharper. This is definitely more for cooler months and great for a night out.

GabbyVersusThe

I imagine that Kristen Stewart smells something like this. Though this is nothing at all like my usual style of fragrance, I wear Roberto Cavalli on days when I want to channel her big dick energy.

denizua

This is a warm sweet summer fragrance and it reminds me night clubs. I think it is a simple but effective fragrance. Longevity is not so good but I enjoy wearing this.

Woodamber

Warm, balsamic and seductive! The notes of vanilla and heady orange blossom makes a great combination. The vanilla in this one is not too sweet and a bit balsamic which I love! It also smells a bit salty which makes me think of sunkissed skin during summer. Then the hint of pink pepper makes it a bit spicy as well. I think this works any time of the year depending on the mood. To me this is pure confidence in a bottle. Great longetivity on my skin (I can still smell it after 8 hours).

paytonstafania

I definitely get tuberose vibes but not so sharp. This is a very pretty scent that smells like quality. I smell the vanilla as well. When I first got it I didnt think it was a powerhouse like a lot of reviews on YouTube said. It took awhile to grow on me but I still love the paradiso better from this house because I live in Ghana and the heat can destroy a perfume. I have not received any compliments on this yet but I usually wear it around the house for now. So I'm not sure of the sillage and the longevity on my skin is about 5 hours ...maybe longer on clothes

Fraghag7

To me this smells like a waxy amber fragrance with some orange flower. This doesn't smell sweet to me at all and the only reason I could see vanilla in this is because it keeps the perfume from leaning too bitter.
I saw a review below that someone mentioned this reminded them of sitting in a leather chair, reading in an old library and I totally see that. I would not wear this as a winter fragrance, but rather more during warmer months. Just spritz lightly.
This is what I wanted olympea Intense to be but unfortunately that was just a really harsh version of olympea on my skin and I sold it. As for this Perfume I'll test it more in the heat but I think the warmth will help make this one dimensional scent less stifling.

It's a like not a love. Scent 6.5/10

SallyGirl

You are a sneaky, sneaky man Roberto! I know there HAS to be tuberose in this puppy, either that or you used some shady voodoo to mix this brew to mimic the note to a T. I mean come on ladies and gents, I can’t be the only one who is hammered with the smell for the entire trip? Tuberose shines suffocatingly throughout the entire journey, I’m not saying it’s entirely terrible but, it’s not entirely pleasant either. It’s heavy tuberose just like the original gangster of TR, poison..the late 80’s formulation without the plum/purple smell accompanying RC. I get zero pepper, zero vanilla and a shit ton of orange blossom. It’s poison except instead instead of purple this sucker is orange. I’m not sure how I feel about this, I’ll give it a few more days and try to get to know this gal. Verdict unknown. I can say this perfume has awesome silage and longevity, to me that’s incredible because today’s perfumes are weak af and most of the time today’s perfumes are just a whisper of former days with zero longevity. Tragic really.

UPDATE: Fast forward to late July. Oppressive heat and stifling humidity here in Michigan. I decided to give RC a try this morning, I applied generously in my home that has central air..I wasn’t thinking ahead to the fact that I’d probably leave the house at some point today and have to walk out my door into the “thickness”. My husband complimented me from 4 rooms over about how good I smelled, hahaha this stuff is strong! He admitted to me he thought I was wearing Olympia intense, and then I realized that this does share some pretty close resemblance to OI. Both heavy orange blossom and some sort of waxy interlude somewhere in the middle after about the first hour of wear. I was also pleased to find out this shines in the heat! Not suffocatingly so, but just right! I had all but forgotten about this bottle that had become pushed behind other frags. I’m so glad I saw RC all timid in the corner, just looking for some love on a brutally hot day. It’s a solid “love” from me.

Kurama

Well-blended, balsamic almost resinous (the benzoin must be doing that), sweet sticky vanilla. It is indeed a very warm scent that hugs you from all sides. For me, this one would be suitable exclusively for Autumn and Winter. It is also not a sexy scent to me (well not that "kind" of sexy :D), because it has that nostalgic note. I don't know why but I associate this with reading - in an old library, in a cafe, on a bench in an autumn park, on a cosy leather armchair...

whatsthatsmell205

I smell cedar in the opening—it's like Alien Essence Absolue meets Dior Homme Intense. Very unisex.

Pia61

Yet another blind buy for me, I’m surprised I didn’t see this before. A bit sweet, different, yet not too much on your face. Affordable, still smells expensive. Long lasting, and addictive.

StinkyTinky

Okay guys...team meeting. This smells like Gucci rush to me. Now I have to read all the comments to see if anyone is getting this.
I actually do like the smell of Gucci rush but it makes me nauseous for some reason. Same with this 20 minutes in.
Granted, when you first spray the RC, there’s more separation, but they’re both very similar on the dry down.

bourcet

Gorgeous, expensive smelling scent that was nabbed for under $20 at TJ Maxx. The nose behind this, Louise Turner, is responsible for many crowd pleasers, including several of my favorites: Maison Martin Margiela Lazy Sunday Morning, Carolina Herrera Good Girl and Tom Ford Lost Cherry, just to name a few. Opening note of pink pepper gives this fragrance energy, but I do love the warm vanilla that shines through beneath the bright, bubble gum notes. Despite the sweetness, this is very much a sophisticated scent for an adult lest you think the Eau de Double Bubble renders it adolescent. This scent is both warm and comforting while also being sexy and dynamic. The versatility is what makes this fragrance so wearable; easily transitions from day to night and is suitable for all seasons, save the excessively hot and humid days of midsummer.

Jabouba

Wow 😳 I just bought this one found it at tjmaax got 16.99 50ml and omg it’s a beautiful scent love at first sniff.
Unlike Florence which I have and highly dislike.

LoveThySmell

Finding it on sale and reading reviews here made me blind buy this perfume. And I am so happy I did. The first sniff of this gorgeous perfume and it was almost nostalgic. I have no memory of where I have smelt it, but it kind of transported me to my childhood and my Mama. A beautiful spicy oriental, it is elegant and soothing . I love wearing it to bed as the warm amber fragrance feels like a hug. I also feel it will be great for any dressed up event, especially for the evenings. Very long lasting and great projection.

Perfumedprince

I don't know where this has been until now, recently read the reviews and saw a few YouTube videos on it.

Found it for sale at a very low price at my local pharmacy, very good value.

Strong oriental, very generous sprayer nozzle, only need 1 spray and you're set for the next 6+ hours.

Strong pepper note that evolves into a floral vanilla that lingers thanks to the base, very sweet and sexy.

orangecrystal

I love this perfume. It is a wonderfully gentle but warm amber fragrance. Lasts well especially on clothing and I think it is suitable for all seasons and times of the day. I think it makes an excellent signature scent as it is simple and versatile! Feels classy but fun with a quiet confident touch of sexiness.

sparklyunicorn

I love the opening, it is very sweet and delicious. The dry down is a big surprise because it is pretty intense and deep. It projects and has good sillage. I wore this on New Years Eve because it is that kind of loud, festive, and glamorous perfume. I know some say it smells dated, but I think it is just very unique and demands attention. I like it for nighttime and festive events :)

Madyana

This is the only scents to which I really like first, but which totally got me tired after half of the bottle. I smelled this again after a year and yep, still don’t want it back. Maybe then I didn't really like the scent, but fell in love with a beautiful bottle, I don't know.

soumayaela

I blind bought so many perfumes this year, all new releases, except for Roberto cavalli EDP, i bought it because it was very cheap!
I noticed all new releases smell the same or at least have similarities, too sweet too fruity edible perfumes, pear or honey or sweet vanilla, they all have the same vibe and the drydown is almost the same
When i first smelled RC EDP i was surprised! It smells like a perfume i smelled growing up and liked a lot (maybe mum had it!) It's creamy orangle blossom with salty vanilla, it almost smells like monoï oil and gives me holiday vibes, i imagine the sunset at the beach after a long day tanning 🥰
What i don't like about RC EDP is a weird waxy chemical note i smell in the opening (am i the only one? )

AquaBaby5

I previously blind bought (now sold) Girl of Now and JPG Classique Essence based on great YouTube reviews. However both were too sweet and syrupy, not balanced between the top and base notes to me. I also smelled a few JPG Scandals and they were also not for me, deep sweetness mixed with the honey. Saw some reviews for this one as well and then saw it at a TJMaxx for about $17. This is what I wanted to get out of those other creamy sweet orange blossom fragrances, as the others were just too much. The orange blossom is a hint soapy to me, and vanilla does not stand out as vanilla, but it gives the orange blossom a very round and sweetened base.

This is an easy reach for a cooler weather orange blossom if you don’t like sickly sweet. I’ve realized that orange blossom is one of my favorite notes, but this is the sweetest, coziest orange blossom that I can handle.

Edit March 2021, I sold this because I reach for J’Adore L’Or instead. Similar vein but rose jasmine and tuberose instead of orange blossom and it just makes me happier when I wear it and lasts better. Yes it’s pricier but I’m good with just one spray since it is basically extrait.

qofb

I tried this in store only. It reminded me of a far nicer, more sophisticated version of Lady Million. The dry down is to a soft orange flower vanilla. Benzoin is definitely noticeable too. I liked it, simple but classic. It didn't last super long though, maybe 4 hours on my skin.

Wiktoriaaaz

This was one of my first perfumes when I first got into them maybe 2 years a go, I sold it earlier this year because I just didn’t use it anymore. It was a very pleasant classy scent, I definitely got a lot of the orange blossom from what I remember. It’s again one of those I wish I never sold, I didn’t even smell it before I put it up for sale which was a big mistake. I want it back! Might have to rebuy at some point!

It didn’t smell like anything else I ever smelled before yet it was quite likeable in my opinion, I didn’t love it but I liked it and I find it hard to believe there’s people that would genuinely despise this! The protection and longevity used to be great on me, and it’s a cheapy!

Jana711xx

Tried it when it first came out, not for me. Thought I would give it another go eight years on so I got a 5ml decant, just as I remember it.....still not for me.

Cristinaaa

I really wanted to like this one but unfortunately, I will be giving this away. This was a blind buy, and according to the listed notes, I felt confident that I would love it. Upon the first spray, this perfume is a sharp white floral with hints of fruitiness. I don't get any amber or vanilla - and I'm sad to report that these notes did not appear in the dry down either. To my nose, this fragrances is strong, linear and slightly unoriginal. I feel like I have smelled this DNA before. This fragrance is mature with a strong 90s vibe. It just doesn't feel like me. However, I will admit that on the right person, perhaps on a summer night, this has the potential to be beautiful.

ScentedPianist

Roberto Cavalli was a perfect blind buy.

My favorite part are actually the top notes - they feel like a ray of sunlight. They feel like you are eating the most delicious and juiciest ripe apricot in a meadow of flowers with pollen and bees around them. It's pure bliss. It quickly evolves into a less bright scent, but nonetheless beautiful - vanilla, amber. Very oily. The sun has set, your skin is tanned and smells somewhat salty.

What a simple but beautiful perfumed journey.

mirrorghost

this is a creamy orange blossom with mostly vanilla and benzoin. the tonka is subtler and the pink pepper is almost nonexistent on me. i also smell peach quite prominently, even though it's not listed, which gives it a 90s vibe. in fact it smells a lot like vintage avon rare gold. i will have to try them side by side to see for sure.

grapefruit352

This fragrance has its downsides like not too long lasting power (3-4 hours max), but I still admire it! When I traveled to Italy in the past, I visited some shops of a local perfumery in Florence and I can tell that Roberto Cavalli's edp smells very similar and traditional to ancient precious Italian style of fragrances. It is classic and enchanting! It is out of time!
Here on the metal cap of the bottle you even can read "Firenze" and it is not accidentally..it has a refer to famous Italian city to its fashion and high class and rich history.

Amberdunn

A few these bottles went on sale online, I checked out the notes and I thought wooooow wooow I need to get this. I impulsively ordered two bottles.

Guess what,

both bottles have been given away.

It does not smell bad, actually its lovely, but it is so weak that I actually just wanted to gift this to someone who would appreciate this more.

I sense the honey, and some floral notes but it is not what I expected. I got it at a bargain so I really cant complain.

The ladies who received this, appreciate it.

Kar1917

I smell lovely flowers. But to me the scent is weak. I can spray 6 or 10 times, within 1 hour it is gone, unfortunately because I love the smell.
My bottle smells exactly like the one at the perfume store.
Wish it was stronger!

miriamcarothers

Never noticed or cared about Roberto Cavalli anything. I am having tons of fun blind buying rando perfumes at Marshall’s/TJ Max. So I got this today- um- it’s fine I guess. It smells like caramel corn washed down with grape soda. Which I don’t mind at all. No sexy balsamic resiny blah blah whatever. Just lowbrow sugar bomb.

elizurofsinai

I blind bought this, and let me preface by saying that I am very happy with it.
This reminds me of my grandma.
And I do not mean at all that this smells like a “grandma” perfume. My grandma definitely does not wear perfume! I can’t figure out why it reminds me of her.. I wonder if it smells like a lotion or body wash that she uses. I have no idea. but I love it. It is very comforting, just an overall very good smell.
I saw another review that said it feels nostalgic of 90’s and early 00’s... I 100% agree.
I have had some scents remind me of 90’s-00’s, in a bad way, but definitely not this one.

Blushpinkpeonies

This was a blind buy. Based on the notes and the helpful reviews here, I was pretty sure I would like this perfume, and I do! It’s beautiful! Warm, sweet, slightly spicy, a bit powdery, elegant—what’s not to love? Roberto Cavalli edp is a versatile perfume and ‘blind buy safe’ in my opinion. It definitely smells like JPG Classique Essence but without the tangerine.

samantham-123

I have pretty much overlooked all the roberto cavalli fragrances out there until now, I'm not sure why..ignorence I guess, because this is beautiful!
I took the leap and blind bought a 75ml bottle cos it was only 50 bucks and I have zero regrets lol. It's surprisingly fruity in the opening considering there's no fruit notes listed, but it's sweet and slightly syrupy and makes me think of tropical fruits. Then it very quickly becomes AALLL about that orange flower! It's a white floral explosion on my skin, but with a lot of warmth and sweetness. I wouldve liked a bit more vanilla but it's still lovely. A lot of people have commented that it's " Dated" I don't think I'd call it old fashioned or anything but it does have a real 90s flare, and I love that. It was made in 2012 but it smells like it's from the 90s, the last decade of designers really putting a lot of effort and feeling into their fragrances before it became all about just pumping out boring lackluster water scents that all smell the same and last five minutes. This is thick, dense, syrupy and rich with amazing projection and longevity, there's no need to overspray this one. It is well blended, smooth, we'll balanced and just really pleasing. If you're not into oriental white floral kind of perfumes then I'd recommend maybe not blind buying. I never put age brackets on fragrances; but it seems like a mature woman's scent, you gotta own this while wearing it or it'll wear you.
And it's surprisingly affordable considering how well made it is.

I love the nostalgia that it brings me too lol; with all the drama in the world, having a fragrance transport me back to the late 90s/ early 00s,is quite comforting and satisfying.
All in all, I'm very happy with this

Flamma

This is my favorite female fragrance by far.
I LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE SO MUCH
My ex-girlfriend used to wear it and it drove me crazy.
I complimented her so much on it that she gave it to me, i used to spray it on my pillow when she wasn't with me.
I have great memories with this fragrance, every time I smell it, it triggers those memories.
Before this fragrance i didn't have much interest in fragrances, it's so good it made me a fraghead!

Katchele

Love love ......LOVE this! On me, it’s a warm comforting scent. It makes me think about my children as newborns. Like a sweet powdery smell. Mmmmm......

HollywoodNovaBaby

Anyone else get the pencil shavings vibe? Not a bad thing... rich floral and woody.

D3G

Dear one,
last time I've smelled you, I could only catch the Vanilla and I thought ... boring! Such a big name and interesting bottle (plus I love your gold bag)
Today I'm getting other sides of you, not just the sweetness.
Sincerely, D

lovealwaysalisa

Very pretty blind buy for me. To me this smells like sweet grape juice and incense..on a benzoin/vanilla base. Not sure if that sounds appealing but that is what my nose interprets this as. And I really do like it. Very balsamic and sweet. Perfect for colder months of the year. Sillage and longevity are both moderate on me.

M.Golightly

It is a rainy summer day today in London and I am left to stay at home. Browsing through my fragrance cabinet I could not help but reach for this bottle, my second now. There is always something about R.Cavalli perfume that is so warm and cozy.

The blast of zingy orange blossoms opens the fragrance but when it settles on my skin the vanilla just blooms beautifully. The vanilla here is not candy sweet because the tonka and benzoin balances it making it a spicy scent. The dry down is warm incense but the vanilla still lingers softly.

This is one of my staple fragrances. I wear it all season but less sprays during the summer. It is also easy to layer with my other oriental fragrances. Also, people somehow judge this fragrance because of the bottle but I prefer to judge all of my fragrances with its content and how it fits me and my personality. So for me this is a great fragrance!

CurlyTabby

When I was little I used to walk down the streets of New York with my mom. We were from lower Manhattan but every now and then we’d have to walk uptown. As a little girl I’d see very fancy women dressed in fur coats and holding expensive bags walking their fluffy pomerainian dogs. These ladies smelled like MONEY. You just knew walking by that they smelled of luxury.

This perfume brings back those memories. I blind bought this and immediately chuckled to myself upon spraying. You ever smelled a perfume that smells like expensive perfume? This is one of those. It smells rich, luxurious, out of reach. It smells nothing like what I paid for it. $20 and I’m out here smelling like a rich heiress.

Siljemariyeah

Slight Carole Baskin cap 😂 Jk.

It is rich, warm and luxurious, yet somehow versitale and suitable for all seasons in my opinion. Solar even. This is one I've had in my collection and have been wearing since middle school or start of high school, but I don't find it to be a childish scent at all.
I remember being teased for wearing "grandma" or "mom" scents from an early age. I was often attracted to golden, yellow or deep colored juices/bottles with rather long lasting power such as Tresor, Burberry body, j'adore, the one, alien essence etc. They looked so beautiful to me! Still do.

Still get teased for my often "outdated" choices lol. But a good scent is a good scent to me. It was only after reaching 23 I grew to truly love more so called childish or lighter scents. Never thought anything was wrong with them but I wasn't attracted to those profiles or bottles at all. Is it not also strange that people compliment this scent and ask me what it is, only to crinkle their nose or look slightly disappointed/uninterested when the answer is an unpopular and "older" perfume from a not so trendy perfume brand? (These comments usually come from people who aren't into perfumes like crazy. Nothing wrong with that though.) Just funny how perceptions work. Perfume world or not.. When I discovered the fragrance community I was very happy to see that this one is appreciated ☺️

It has a nostalgic feel to it, regardless of me having it for a long time. Compliment getter as well, which is never a minus in my book. It's a crowd pleaser but still out of the ordinary mold of the most popular designer perfumes directed twoards my age group in my teens, such as Flowerbomb. (I don't mind crowd pleasers or "ordinary" perfumes). Some might find it to smell "dated", but I love it. You'd probably have to like sweet perfumes though!
Where I live, or have traveled, I've never smelt it on anyone else either.

This is versitale and a summery, but would work in any season really. The orange blossom here is sweet, warm and leans more grapy than clean. Yet somehow it's also soapy. I swear it also has some buttery/creamy tuberose. The dry down is like a powdery vanilla orange/grape/apricot creamsicle with some resin. But you wouldn't want to eat it, since it's somehow not edible either! It also kind of reminds me of morrocan oil hair products. No idea where the oilyness is coming from.. Maybe it's the benzoin? I love it. It definitely doesn't "smell like" where I live, I live in Scandinavia. Reminds me of some place warmer. If I could describe this scent as a person it would be a warm blooded woman in the lovely Mediterranean area, wearing her luscious wavy and dark hair loose. She's wearing a beautiful knee length summer dress and is barefoot. Throwing her head back laughing.
This is grown, sexy, welcoming, warm and fun. Very womanly! Not mature, but maybe not what one would associate with a middle schooler/early high schooler either nowadays. Roberto Cavalli is giving me a less edible and less sweet Girl of Now vibe. Also in the same ballpark as Classique essence, Poeme and La vie est belle eclat. All lovely interpretations of orange blossom!

Sadly it's discontinued, BUT I am very lucky to find it for low prices online - so I have bought backups 😬 In my opinion you're getting a great bang for your buck here.

I first clicked on Like for this perfume, because it reminds me of many others: Gaultier's Classique, Reem Acra, different Elie Saabs. So maybe Cavalli is not super-unique.

But then I think about how I raced through my bottle of Cavalli, and that this perfume always pleases me. And how much I like Classique, Reem Acra, and all kinds of Elie Saabs. And how Cavalli is sweet, balsamic, full of orange-blossom and non-edible vanilla. So very attractive. Cavalli is a Love, really.

Strong sillage, medium longevity.

Finally re-tested for a few days and indeed my opinion changed.

(I have a sample received here some years ago in a swap).

Orange blossoms, resins and something heady but not heavy.

Want!

The first time I got my hands on Roberto Cavalli EDP was in 2012- it was an instant love, so I bought the fragrance. At the time I was 16 and sadly had to give it away, after a while, because it was too mature, chic and sophisticated for me, or so I thought. Now I have a new bottle and I'm gonna use it and be proud, because it's rich, luxurious and just plain irresistable. Vanilla, tonka bean and benzoin are the main notes of the fragrance that make it smell like liquid gold. Seriously, if liquid gold had an aroma, I am sure it would be Roberto Cavalli EDP. The fragrance is not quite casual, unless you casually like to wear designer dressess, high heels and jewellery.. It's syrupy, but good syrupy, since pink pepper provides some freshness and african orange flower adds some softness. The advertisment represents the fragrance greatly- EDP is confident, a bit wild and majestic just like a tiger.

BananaonSpeed

This is one that has been in my collection for a long time but I hardly ever pick it up. In fact I had myself convinced that I regretted the purchase and that it smelled cheap and nondescript.

Today, out of lockdown boredom I decided to revisit some of my lesser used fragrances and have a sort out. When I saw the listed notes for this one, I was surprised I hadn't paid it more attention because the notes sound right up my street.

Upon further wear, I take back my initial feelings. I should have given this more of a chance.

It's deep, resinous and very dry, so I can totally see how this could be unisex. Vanilla & benzoin dominate and take complete control. It feels opulent and rich, conjuring images of the middle east.

Something about this still doesn't feel quite right though. I still get a 'cheap' note in there which I can't put my finger on. It's chemical-like, almost like hairspray. Also, while others are describing this as loud, with amazing projection, I'm not getting that at all. I do wonder whether this is a real skin dependent fragrance or whether actually that benzoin is just wiping out everything else to my nose.

Either way, I'm keeping this in my collection and will give it another try.

I think this one is sexy, seductive and have a vintage feeling about it, also it's kinda unisex. The sillage and longevity are on point. But I don't really like it because I'm a cute, youthful, sweet kind of girl, but this is sexy like a grown woman. This is suitable for any night of the year. I gave this to my sister (who loves unisex fragrances) and she loves it.

Simply put - this is the perfume the Goddess of Sex and Summer would wear.
Sweet and a touch powdery, a hint of juicy fruit and coconut, creamy exotic florals and a definite balmyness. It's warm and tropical but also dark and sexy with a deeply seductive edge. Perfect for wearing on hot, bare sunkissed skin on a summer night - but equally at home on your cosy winter scarf.
To me, it's absolutely heavenly - I could literally bathe in this stuff.

I especially like this one. My dad bought me a bottle in France some years ago. The smell of orange flower is so charming and seductive, i just love it even though i gave it to my aunt

Alanitoo

A delicious vanilla and benzoin bomb! I don't smell the white flowers that much though. and the longevity and projection are nuclear on this fragrance, easily 12+ hours. and it's very affordable on discounters. I have gifted this 3 times so far and they all loved it.

ladies get this gem!

Tessnose

First spray is sweet bright African orange flower then warm musky vanilla and caramel. I imagine a sophisticated, sexy woman with golden skin on a yellow sandy beach. For me it feels like a summer perfume, good for a holiday

Mbrock

Everything everyone else has said about this being a warm, sensual orange blossom and vanilla is true. This is no old fashioned or grandma perfume. I get a modern sexy oriental -floral.
It does belong in the same category as JPG Classique Essence but they do not smell alike. I own both & they are very different to me. The longevity is good I can smell it on my skin the next morning but on me the silage is very low. After two hours its a skin scent but I love the smell so much I don't really care.

Fraghag

I wish I got the pink peppercorn and spice that other reviewers mention. I love the scent when freshly applied, but it turns into baby powder on my skin. I'm glad I only have the rollerball.

Nataliemarie

I do not like to categorize perfume too much, b/c it's just one person's opinion, right? Well, my opinion is, This is about as *80's* as you can get.Think in the vein of BoB Mackie, or Avon's Rare Gold. I do like Rare Gold tho, it's not as cheap smelling as this. Yeah, Avon smells more expensive than this.,,, Smells like a loud cheapie. No trace of Angel here either. Huh?

loversandxo

This scent is super sexy, warm...a heady explosion of benzoin and orange flower not for the faint of heart.

I exclusively wear this scent at night, and during the winter months, because its STRONG. I've worn this for date nights in the city, and people will notice you in a good way. Slightly boozy, I get a rum vibe for some reason! The orange and benzoin are the most prominent notes on my skin, I don't get much vanilla - if anything its in the background. Also get a bit of saltiness in there as well, to balance out the sweet. It hugs your skin so it can get cloying. Even though this is a more 'mature' scent, I'm 24 and have been wearing this scent for a few years now without a problem.

I actually saw this perfume on an episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (I saw it on Kyle Richard's vanity) so...you know it smells rich LOL. Also, love the ad for this frag and Just Cavalli. I am a sucker for a good advertisment.

Dr.Myles

Some reviewers here say it is dated or feeling vintage, but to me, and on my skin, this girl is modern, sexy and all honey. The opening is sweet sweet orange blossom, but i get very little pink pepper. Maybe my nose is not yet developed to pick up on that. Cozy, warm tonka and vanilla smooth out the almost cloying effect of the opening. Oh but how i love the heady orange blossom dipped in honey...

A complete departure from my usual and thats preciseley what i am seeking out in my perfume journey for the last 2 years.

dipisor

An old school floral. Not quite my taste, but it was a gift and I will try give it a chance. I wouldn't buy this for myself.
It has quite a good performance, though. I just put one spray behind my neck about a couple of hours ago and it still goes strong. I get whiffs of it every time I move.
I do get a bit of a resemblance to JPG Classique Essence, but that one is more thick and powdery and way better. I wouldn't buy that either, but the Intense one instead.
The bottle is stunning, I love it.

auroramaria

This is one of Cavalli finest women fragrances. It feels a bit old school because its so feminine nothing like the unisex trend of present days. This scent has a sweet base from vanilla and tonka which blends perfectly with beautiful orange blossoms sillage and longevity both heavy.I feel the house of Cavalli has released a few mediocre fragrances lately and I wish it could regain some of its former glory

Roberto Cavalli signature scent is very strong therefore I only let a little bit of the liquid to come out, and then I dab it onto my wrists as I don’t like strong sillage. It can be headache inducing if you go crazy with it, so be careful.

At first the scent reminds me a tiiiiny bit of Mugler’s Angel which I despise. It goes away soon enough and is replaced by a scent that reminds of a Rituals shower foam called “yogi flow”. It’s very oriental and a bit masculine. I expected this to be a warm scent, perhaps even a bit sweet, but it’s not... not at first pray anyway. However, the scent slowly rounds out with time and becomes more warm and feminine. The drydown is cozy and beautiful but it takes a while to get there. I’ve dabbed a bit of this scent on my wrists this morning (around 08:00), and it’s only reached the drydown stage just now past 17:00.

If you like Rituals products this scent might be for you.

Edit:
Yves Saint Laurent’s Cinema has been my signature scent for years and I was really sad to find out they’ve first reformulated, and then discontinued it. I really loved Cinema’s warm and cozy drydown which made me feel safe whenever I leaned in to smell it. I’ve been on a hunt for a perfume that would make me feel similarly to Cinema, and after trying so many different perfumes, I think this might be it. It doesn’t smell like it, but it does give me a similar comforting feeling. Give this a try if you like Cinema too!
