Flora by Gucci Eau de Parfum by Gucci is a Floral fragrance for women. Flora by Gucci Eau de Parfum was launched in 2010. Top notes are Peony, Citruses and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Osmanthus and Rose; base notes are Sandalwood, Pink Pepper and Patchouli.

The new edition,Flora by Gucci EDP, can be expected on the market at the beginning of 2010. This version was announced as more intense, deeper, seductive and richer. Notes of Flora by Gucci Eau de Parfum promise the same youthful and optimistic expression of the composition as it was offered by EDT. The difference lies in stronger concentration of the EDP edition. Flora by Gucci was envisaged and created by Frida Giannini who was inspired by Gucci floral pattern used first as a scarf for Grace, Princess of Monaco. Floral motive has been enchanting women with glamorous and feminine details for decades.

Flora by Gucci Eau de Parfum is characterized by fresh notes of agrums in the opening, combined with beautiful peony. A heart introduces balanced aromas of rose and osmanthus, while a base is created of patchouli and sandalwood. The more opulent, stronger and more powerful EDP has the same flacon as the original edition, but is decorated with gold details on a black bow ribbon, black cap and darker liquid. The fragrance arrives in January 2010.

Ferra_Verto

Such a pretty and uplifting floral; juicy and lightly honeyed citruses and warm peony. There's a little throat-tickling pollenated feel that persists from the opening as it begins to drydown, I like it a lot.
Creates a nice shell around the body, compliment getter.
Perfect for warm and bright sunny days.

Finally finished the 50mL bottle after almost 5 years, except for the bit I moved to a rollerball.

It didn't go bad, kept out on my vanity. Sprayed in the morning, the florals lasted until lunch. The citrus peel scent lasted until the end of the work day but the pink pepper and a bit of sandalwood last FOREVER. I'd smell it on my coats after they'd been packed away all summer.

The scent doesn't reach too far sitting in an air conditioned office, but while riding bikes, my husband could smell it wafting behind me.

angel_milk

I have a second bottle already, I like this fragrance a lot. It has freshness, floral notes, citrusy, sweetness - everything you might describe as classic "feminine" components. It's suitable for all seasons, day and evening. Easy to wear but at the same time classy.

Hanavanille

You spray this and you Just smell citrus freshness, very breezy it settles and starts smelling rosy and more élégant. Perfect for daytime

Flared Maple

Very powdery, sweet floral scent.
It reminds me of those soft pastel, rainbow colored, pressed powder pellet candies stacked together in the clear wrapper. Only floral instead of fruity.

Really lovely, but not my style.

scenchanting

the fragrant is so feminime, floral and sweet also rose scent I think of being a beautiful elegant princess with fragrance but not really my thing so I give this to my bestfriend and she loved it very much

skod

Fresh, floral and a mature, grown-up version of yellow gummy bears, striking a perfect balance between sweetness and a subtle hint of spiciness. Its versatility makes it ideal for everyday wear. Regrettably it has been discontinued.

nisarsarah9

Smells so elegant. Has such a nice, warm, soft and feminine scent. Its not an every day wear scent but I really like it on special occasions. The longevity is good and it lasts long on the skin and clothes.

mmng99

This is one of my all time favourite scents. I’m on my second bottle and I use it sparingly as it projects so well. For me, it’s not an everyday scent although it was 5 years ago. Now I use it whenever I just want to smell delicious. Usually on a night out or on a date. Its just as the notes describe. Floral, fresh, fruity, sweet and warm. An overall sexy female scent. I feel like everyone needs this fragrance in their collection!

Gabi0401

I absolutely love Flora by Gucci, it is very feminine and soft, perfect fragrance for every day. On me it has decent projection for about 4hours and then it’s a skin scent that lasts up to 6 or 7 hours.
Truly one of my favorites, so sad that its discontinued.

Mashalala

Smells like Haribos jellies to me.Beautiful but a bit too warm and sweet for my taste, lacking freshness, more like warm orange juice or melted gummy bears.

Ilovechai89

Dearly beloved, we are all gathered here today to morn the loss of this shining osmanthus star.✨

I’m gutted they discontinued this gem of a fragrance and replaced it with such basic floral notes in the new rendition! This was a sweet but also fresh & clean osmanthus sent with a honey suckle vibe to my nose. Finding a sent with strong osmanth notes can be really hard, so I’m sad to see this one go. But I’m stocking up while I still can for decent prices.

susa_anima

I get fruity florals with orange candy. It's pretty and feminine. It isn't girly, it's for a grown woman. Not mature, just sophisticated. Good longevity and projection. Too bad it was discontinued. It's a loss in the fragrance world.

Carre K

The first Gucci scent I’m interested in and they discontinue it!

Many notes I love: osmanthus, peony, sandalwood, rose, orangey notes. I got to test it out a couple of times and was just about buy it and then poof, gone. This felt like a warm, truly feminine and happy floral, something I could have worn even in the Finnish winter and even all year round. I really like the bottle, too.

Hopefully it will make a comeback!🥀🌹

mibro

when i tell you i broke down when this was off the market. my mother owned this and i always took it off her because of its warmth. the beautiful peony trail always left my skin and i felt so beautiful every time. lasted for ages and is the perfect comfort scent

pauuuM

I feel so sexy every time I use this perfume <3

cynthreab

Treat all my reviews with a grain of salt because I have an odd chemistry so that there are very few perfumes I can wear successfully. (Amarige, Amarige Mariage, Organza, Opium, Raffinee, and Jo Malone fragrances are some.)

I was really excited, but it just goes to show that no matter the reviews and no matter how wonderful it smells on the card, just don't do a blind buy - especially when one has funny chemistry!

I can really describe this fragrance because on me, it was so blah. No peony, no rose. Just some vague floral something. And just powdery. I luckily didn't smell patchouli, but didn't really smell any of the other notes that were supposed to be there, either. Hopefully my daughter-in-law likes it... Hubby couldn't even smell it, BTW, and was absolutely unimpressed.

malikun

I was looking for a fragrance with osmanthus and was recommended Gucci Flora. I am so happy with this recommendation! While osmanthus is weak here, Flora is still amazing to me. Truly rich scent, literally and figuratively. It smells like wealth and has richness in its depth. I can see how for some people it might seem generic, but everyone should try it on their skin to see how it will open up. It is a great fit for day and evening, date and work. So it is a very practical fragrance, my second favorite now <3 after Nomade.

Shan101beauty

A nice floral.

Roses1357

This smells so sweet and deliciously honey-like. There is something in this though that triggers my tongue to feel numb. Such a shame, because it really is a beautiful scent, projects even with only two sprays, and lasts forever on me.

Violet-Pearl

Obsessed! I would bath in this if I could
And its a shame that it us discontinued as its a true gem, long lasting, orange-y, warm osmanthus cloud that gives you expensive-bodycare-vibes

tpangel27

A powdery floral that I can taste in the back of my mouth immediately. No sweetness or warm spiciness at all. I really wanted to love this. I’m still trying to make it work. The bottle is absolutely stunning!

Piscean-Blue

It's a pretty fragrance, if not a bit on the heavy side. It comes across as somewhat matronly, but not overly so. Creamy strawberries wrapped in roses (I know strawberry isn't a listed note but that's what I'm getting).

nannona99

Smells old on me for some reason

Eveningrose

This smells like an Ambery / orange scent. It’s deep and dark . I smell no florals really at all… I think the notes are misleading. It’s not a bad perfume but this is definitely not for me . I knew it at first sniff and it just wasn’t my cup of tea. It is also one that is kind of headache inducing too. Had to let it go ✌🏽

Nichole FZA

This perfume was amongst the first perfumes I bought when I started working, it wasn't that expensive for someone who just starting working on entry level pay an yet still a designer perfume haha...

I bought 50ml if I'm not mistaken and finished the whole bottle but still keeping the bottle as display because I wasn't planning to repurchase. Then I heard this perfume is going to be discontinued or maybe already discontinued by now, decided to buy full bottle. Now I remember why I bought this at the first place...such a gorgeous floral scent, it doesn't scream feminine but still smelling feminine. I can't describe it exactly with words. I'm gonna enjoy this scent until the last drop and might purchase a back up bottle if I still see it being sold.

FieryG

Really nice, elegant, floral perfume.

Scentsational93

Such a beautiful floral fragrance. Feminine and classic. My favourite springtime scent. Such a pity its been discontinued.

ladyofwinter

🌼powerhouse that does not last🍊
this is a beautiful powdery scent, you can really smell the osmanthus. such a shame it has been discontinued, I liked using it every so often to lift the mood. it is very sharp though. if only it lasted longer on the skin - sadly the latest formulation disappears within a couple of hours.

DWCMUA

WHY must brands discontinue the best from their brand always? Gucci is being added to the infamous discontinue list along with Guerlain, Versace and Thierry Mugler. This scent is what I would pick if I had to choose a signature scent. This fragrance has niche quality to it. It projects like a beast, lasts forever on the skin and gets major compliments. I have gone through maybe 8 or 9 bottles at this point in my life. I hope they reintroduce this scent in the new bottle design, otherwise I will have to stock up.

charlenehlaam

Tried this once in store and can't quite forget it so I quickly grabbed a bottle when I heard it's getting discontinued. To me this is a truly lovely osmanthus fragrance, sweet and girly. Usually osmanthus notes don't last long on me but this one stays for a rather long time!

Perfumepusher

Had this for so many years now. It’s mostly citrusy to me, but not fresh citrus
It’s a creamy mandarin + osmanthus nectar
So damn original

maimaibaby

This is my top 3 fragrances. Please keep it continued. I watched in a video from Soki London that it will be discontinued this year, which is soooo sad. It is way fresh, clean, floral and non-cloying in hot and humid weather.

Please please please keep it continued !!

The Best Gucci for Women.

pincurls

This is SO pretty. I’m not a floral girl, but one sniff of this and i KNEW i had to have a full bottle!! It’s light, dainty, and a bit shampoo-ey without being soapy. It just smells so… PRETTY!

On first spray, I immediately get hit with the pear. It’s gorgeous and juicy. The citruses are not loud, but they complement the pear so well and gives it a bit of a sparkly, bright edge. The osmanthus really shines through for me even at the opening, and it’s what made me immediately decide to get it. I love honey oolong osmanthus tea, and this is definitely reminiscent of it to me!

Love love love. I’m definitely looking forward to buying the biggest bottle. I can already see myself going through my 50ml quickly—and I only just got it today! Thank you Rhonda Lareese for the recommendation!

Bopha85

I can't believe I missed this perfume so many years ago. I was looking for the perfect all year round work scent that matched my taste and style. I smelt Gorgeous Gardenia EDP tonight and yes it smelt nice, sweet and creamy which is my type of scent, but I needed something a bit more serious, so the sales person brought me this and it's so beautifully balanced. It's elegant, just sweet enough and with that citrus note, it gave the fragrance some sharpness but non-offensive. Others might think it's just another floral scent but as a work scent, this has it all. I would wear this for other occasions also.

sookig

Received this perfume as a gift twice for some reason? It's not personally one of my favourite scents, if anything a little too strong for me. I tend to use this as an everyday perfume, and it actually does last quite long, particularly on clothes, and has quite strong sillage. I've worn this to work a few times and it tends to last a 6hr shift pretty well.
Not my favourite scent by Gucci, but it's slowly growing on me...

bluebanisters

very soft, almost smells like honey/nectar to me (maybe it's the osmanthus). untimately i prefer a perfume that stands out a bit more, but this is sweet and gentle if that is what you're looking for. would make a great subtle, inoffensive everyday scent.

jessyux3

Its got a nice soft fruity floral smell, but the more I think about it, it starts to remind me of something a young nurse/highschool teacher would wear. Maybe too much of a safe/basic/forgettable scent to me. The dry down has much sweeter notes.

Fvmoustrilla

I am obsessed with this perfume!!!! the longevity isn't the greatest as I usually get maybe 3-4 hours out of it but nonetheless still a favourite of mine. the only words I can use to describe is feminine , sweet and very cool. the note I can smell the most in the fragrance is peony. although I don't mind because I love the smell of peonies but id definitely repurchase a million times if I need too

anntorq

This Perfume when I first spray it, brings the promise of a great citrus floral fragrance, however not long after I spray it (I'm talking under an hour), It becomes an Osmanthus skin scent on me. I wish I got what others get from this perfume. I will keep trying and see if I can get more from it, but so far I have worn it in hot, warm and cool weather and I'm fairly unimpressed..

Altha Ray

Not really a fan. It is floral, yes, but it's more sour than it is sweet. I understand that it has citrus notes – and I love citrus scents. But not this kind. It's a very in-your-face kind of citrus with no depth to it. I was expecting a stronger rose, but it's not quite there. Maybe it's just not for me.

Yussra smki

I have been testing it for 3 days now, everytime I use it I start coughing I guess I’m allergic to one of the ingredients.
The smell is not pleasant to me its very suffocating even in winter.

norhal96

This scent is just magical and it makes me feel optimistic, charismatic and sensual all at the same time. I live in a cold climate where it rains alot and this cozy, uplifting scent works perfectly during fall and winter. The citrus notes paired with the osmanthus creates a fizzy fresh citrus peach like scent. While the sandalwood makes it woody and creamy. I find the edp to have almost an amber like quality to it which makes it super long lasting and sophisticated. I have both the edt and the edp. I like using the edt for work since it's not as loud and is a bit ''see through'' while the edp you get such a luxurious long lasting blend, and a versatile perfume for your money. If I could only have one I'd go for the edp.

So I sprayed two spritz of this at 2pm, and later in the evening at 10pm I walked passed my boyfriend and he was like woow what are you wearing? He said it smelled like a breath of fresh air, as he smelled closer on my wrist he said it somehow also smells like caramel, like a caramelized orange without being too sweet or synthetic.

Hunnynpink

creamy sweet green floral on my skin. I smell it on myself throughout the day and it makes me think fresh cut flowers and sweets.

Project Nostalgia

Thick and syrupy but not cloying or too sweet. This is a beautiful floral orangey fragrance to my nose. It's not my usual kind of smell, the notes were weirdly addictive when I tried a tester in the shop. I could not stop going back and sniffing the paper! This is good in all weather, apart from really really warm days i think. I think its more daytime appropriate. I've not had compliments when wearing it but I like it, and thats what is important that you like your fragrance. Its really long lasting, couple of sprays will keep you going all day.

clairesque

The first time I wore this, all I got was a watery peony with a few whiffs of creamy osmanthus. On the second wear I picked up on the pink pepper note which was a little too sharp for me. But on every other wear, it's a beautiful creamy floral right from the start, and it stays that way with no unwanted sharpness or surprises. There isn't much to say about this one. It would be easy to say this fragrance is boring. Very pleasant, great for year-round and day or night. Flora doesn't have the "wow" factor I normally look for before investing in a full bottle. That said, I'd love to have this in my collection someday as it's a truly lovely scent.

RainbowGirl

This fragrance is amazing. In my top ten. It's a beautiful warm orange and fresh osmanthus fragrance, with a lovely.... brightness. Maybe from the pink pepper? It is the fragrance I reach for when I have an important meeting, or want to feel optimistic.

Simular to Givenchy Ange Ou Demon Le Secret, but more professional. So if you like that fragrance, you would probably like this one too.

Perfect for work. Great projection. I always get complimented when I wear this fragrance.

Makes me feel happy, classy, and sophisticated.

A safe blind buy.

violacolors

Pretty and smooth with quirkiness.
Sweet, soft creamy floral.

It's very feminine and delicious scent.

linhtrangvn

this one made me feel like I'm a rich haunty girl from a weathy family haha A friend sent me this gift and I guess that's what he meant to say about me hehe. I don't see citrus in it tho. Only flora, a bit woody but mostly floral. it's kinda too much to use during day in tropical weather.

cookygirl

Flora has been an unexpected disappointment to me.
I thought I would love it judging from the notes and the glowing reviews but it does absolutely nothing for me.
It's by no means a polarizing or challenging scent - it's what I would describe as inoffensive and vaguely pleasant.
Like others, I get a warm orangey/apricot note - not really citrusy, more of a honeyed sweetness.
That is all I get though. This is how the perfume goes on and this is how it stays. It fails to develop and is completely inert on my skin. Another reviewer described it as champagne. Well on me it is flat champagne unfortunately.
It's quite a saturated smell but it doesn't project and leaves no sillage either
I've given Flora more than a handful of chances, in all kinds of weather and nothing seems to change my experience.
I wish I could smell what others do.

Edit - 1/5/24 - so I've discovered, from smelling other osmanthus forward scents, that what is happening here is that the osmanthus is just overtaking all the other notes. I really smell only the osmanthus here. Nothing else. What a shame.

Peacelovecolorart

This a very warm, sweet, almost gourmand floral. There’s something about it that I also smell in Bamboo, which must be the sandalwood. It’s very creamy and almost vanilla and powdery.
I get none of the citrus.

essiesfrags

Fresh champagne in a bottle. This fragrace is really pretty. I would describe it as a very perfumy fragrance thats smells very realistic of citrusses. Its like cutting into a citrus and smelling the juice. Then the florals come in. The fragrance overall has a sparkling (champagne) type of vibe to it. Still not anything special.
Lasts all day

cristinap9587

I absolutely love this perfume, I am really impressed by all Gucci fragrances (I honestly can't say I dislike any of the ones that I have smelled). Their creations are so well balanced and this is so rare nowadays, I don't like perfumes where I can pin-point one scent or the other, or the ones that have a messy multi-smell that ends up smelling like "the Mall", but Gucci does the exact opposite. I don't know how they manage to create such perfect accords.

I got Flora in a set of minis and it was the one I used last (I tend to conserve the things I like so this was the hint that I love it). Besides the extremely pretty bottle, I think this scent is to die for. It is indeed floral but not heavy on the roses (which I do smell, but the top notes of fresh yellow or white roses, no the deep smell of red ones), the flowery parts (must be the peony, although I can also sense some fresh violets) blend well with the citruses which are not lemony at all, but rather more prominent as the delicate fresh-sweet smell of mandarin peels. The sandalwood is there to support everything, while the osmanthus creates a savory middle you almost want to eat. All these smells are somehow equal, with neither battling for dominance, again a rare find at least on most perfumes I've tried.

I am thinking of buying a full bottle but an EDT not EDP, as I feel this perfume works better will less sillage, the EDP I have would fill the room and choke me if I spray it (I currently just dab the mini-bottle on my wrist and neck and it's enough). The dry down is not instant, I love how I can still smell the top and middle notes for hours which usually does not happen with a lot of perfumes. The scent follows me all day and I can't get enough of it. It's such a complex perfume, I love how I can find in it a bit of everything: a daytime perfume which can also go well on a summer evening date. It's so versatile that it can make you jump for joy and works well as a pick-me-up, but it also gives a boost of confidence and femininity to make you feel sexy and ready for anything.

Definitely recommend, even as a blind buy. Unless you are somebody who likes strictly oriental perfumes, you would love this. It's also perfect for a gift, you really can't go wrong and I can't imagine somebody not liking it.

Later edit: I found a dupe (based on reading a thread here), it's La rive - Madame in love. They are very similar, unfortunately the dupe had a bit of stickiness when I sprayed it on my hand, typical of drug store cheaper perfumes. The scent is not identical of course, the dupe is heavier (especially the flowery scents) while the original is more open, clean and more fresh (citruses prevail), most likely due to the quality of the ingredients. But considering it's 10% of the price, it's worth it. I have to say the dry down, after several hours, is identical: a sweet, fresh violet scent.

katheryne_art

I absolutely love this perfume! It smells delicious on my skin as it's very fruity and just a little bit floral! I love it for spring and summer days when I just don't know what perfume to choose and I want something clean but still sweet and delicious and very feminine. This is my favourite clean designer perfume. My second favourite will be Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, which is very pretty too. It's a little bit more floral, but still delicious :)

CallMeT__

This is sunshine bottled! It reminds me of walking in a field of white flowers on a hot day!! I don’t really pick out any individual notes unfortunately so cannot comment on what’s most prominent in the perfume. In my opinion, this fragrance suits all ages; someone young wearing this as a signature and an elegant mature person wearing it to run her errands/work! Performance is really impressive, over 8 hours on my skin with really strong silage. People will definitely notice for those who enjoy making an impression with their fragrance. I think for floral lovers, this is an ideal fragrance that’s signature worthy! For people who like sweet, dense gourmands, maybe sample this first. The bottle is nice and also reasonably priced! Would I repurchase? Probably not but it is a fragrance I would recommend. I think Gucci Flora is most appropriate for Spring/Summer days.

carlahoffman

This was a blind purchase for me based on reviews I read below! On the first spray I got a nice whiff of a citrusy orange scent that was very pleasing to my senses which lasted for over a hour or so. Next was a lovely powdery rose scent that is just lovely, beautiful. My husband said I smelled yummy!! These are the notes, including the, pink pepper and patchouli, that I smelled the most on my skin. It has a long sillage for me with over 8 hours of longevity!! I love it so much that I will most likely get another bottle which I enjoy looking at, for it has a vintage design, Safe blind buy for floral lovers!! Oh yes, as time goes by the scent just get better!!

soumayaela

I'm here for an edit: Gucci flora smells soooooo nice but i'm so disappointed by the performance 😔
When i just spray it's very strong but 1 hour later it becomes a skin scent
Poor performance unfortunately i wish it lastes longer and projects better

ayken

This right of the bat gives me a feeling of peace and summer. A fragrance that smells so heavenly yet so reserved, it is one of my ultimate floral fragrances that I must get but there is something that is putting me off from buying this so I am basically fluctuating between love and like. I haven't tested the EDT version but maybe it will have a different kick to it than this EDP version anyway I still love/like it and think it is a must for floral fragrance lovers. You can't go wrong with this formula. Simple yet amazing.

mimissekat

Gucci Flora is just beautiful. It screams perfection in all ways, it's just the perfect fruity floral perfume. It's my favorite scent in the whole world! I'm just afraid this is discontinued... They sell Gucci Flora EDP in online shops now and then but I'm not sure it will last. Last year I couldn't find Gucci Flora anywhere and just now found it online for a perfect price! I then purchased the Eau Fraiche version instead, which is equally beautiful.

If you're like me and can't find EDP anywhere, really... go for the EDT! It's not a weak or watered down version at all. It's slightly more fresh but still great performance trust me! Flora EDT has better performance than many EDP's out there. Even better performance than most fragrances from Chanel and Thierry Mugler.

Edit: The EDT actually has slightly better performance than this one. I love both scents but I will keep purchasing the other one since it's more inexpensive and slightly more fresh.

KittyDeBeauvoir

This. Is. A. Masterpiece.

Being the miserable geezer that I am, I submitted a review of "Flora EDT" many months ago where I think I stated that it was too weak, and I couldn't smell much of anything. In the name of transparency, I did have a tiny sample, and suspect there are some minor differences between that and this here EDP.

"Flora EDP" is, however, the most beautiful, feminine, elegant, kinda-sexy scent. Yes, Perfumites. I actually find this a little bit sexy. Is it weird to say: If I was a guy, I'd love smelling this on a girl?

The opening of citruses and mandarin orange is - no joke - possibly my favourite citrus opening. It's probably tied with "Coco Mademoiselle" is that respect, actually. But - by Jove - it is heavenly. It's beautiful, soft, vibrant, and glamourous.. And warm! Did I mention warm?! That orange is warm and enveloping with zero sharpness!

How is peony such a perfect floral note? Gentle, sweet without being cloying, and ever-elegant! The added osmanthus does have that gentle slight apricot smell that is a little syrupy and bloody divine! The rose is very subtle. For those terrified of choking, heavy rose - FEAR NOT! "Flora" cradles you in her soft, sweet, gentle hands.

The patchouli really helps this last! As gentle as the scent itself is; it actually hangs around. Rest assured, you never get that dirty patchouli scent here; all the patchouli does is help this last, and GOD BLESS IT FOR THAT! The sandalwood and pink pepper are present, but don't overwhelm. I honestly think the pink pepper stops this from devolving into something boring. When you sniff yourself a few hours into wearing this, you get a nice, gently-invigorating kick from it.
The sillage and projection aren't monsters, though...but, in this perfume …I feel if it invaded your nostrils, it would ruin the gentle nature of "Flora".

The bottle is perfect: Heavy glass, unique hexagonal shape, delicate cap, and adorably pretty black bow. I also completely acknowledge this is a PERFECT spring scent, but it's so damn comforting and warming that I'll wear this year-round.

One of my absolute favourite floral scents: A gift of warm orange with fresh peony.
A modern classic - and deserves to be recognised as such.

Stunning! Stunning! Stunning!

~Compliment Counter~: 1 compliment 😁 "Ooooh, you smell nice! Can I have a spritz?!"

xoxoaloo

For me, it is a very, very, VERY bold floral, almost with notes of caramel and heavy sweetness, not light at all. The smell literally doesn't go away even after scrubbing my skin hard. Upon spraying I was greeted with a slightly more grassy tone than floral, which dries down into the aforementioned caramel heaviness. A little too heavy for daytime wear, definitely nighttime, special occasion kind of fragrance.

asil998

Smells sort of like a fresh warm orange. Very citrusy and fresh smell. It’s also very longlasting!! However, don’t know if it works well on my skin. If you smell me from a bit of a distance you get the fresh citrusy smell, but when I put my nose just right where I sprayed the perfume it smells really weird. I still wear it as long as I know someone won’t put their nose right on my skin

soumayaela

This is a crowd pleasing perfume
Gourmand sweet creamy and fresh at the same time
The pink pepper gives it a lovely sharpness at the end
I used to wear this yeaaaaars ago and i remember loving it, so i bought it again this month, oh man this is soooooo nice and clean 😍 lately i've been wearing heavy complicated perfumes so it was nice going back to this effortless perfume 🥰

Henglertdavis

When initially sprayed this gorgeous fragrance slams you with a fresh bright scent but a few minutes later the most beautiful peony, warm cozy sandalwood scent is left. I could smell it on and off of my skin for hours. It felt like a big hug from someone that you hold dear. I am in love with this beauty.

Essellee

This smells more green than floral on me for some reason, and is very harsh on my nose. Dislike.

Artio

Recieved as a gift and it does not smell good on me at all :(

A perfumery classic. Sweet, flowery, non-invasive. I dare say a tres chic perfume! I like it, I like it, I like it. On my skin the note of osmanthus is perceived very much and it is the thing that catches me most in this fragrance. Everything is bon ton, nothing out of tune, everything is linear like the bottle and the pack that contains everything. What can I say .... the class is not water !!!

Mickey764

This is amazing... the opening is very fresh and fruity! Imagine freshly squeezing a juicy orange and lemon and putting it in a spray bottle and spritzing it in your face... thats what this is! Although it dries down to a beautiful elegant sophisticated soft fruity floral.. to me kinda reminds me of a orange Creamsicle but not sickeningly sweet. Last about 5-6 hours on my skin (perfumes don't last on me well anyway 😑) all in all its glorious and will be repurchasing in the future.

bagpusshkn

The stunning bottle won me over and I ordered a sample, sadly it settled horribly on me and smelt like bug spray :(

CreamSunshine

In the first 15 minutes this was like golden-orange flowers on top of a bed of whipped cream in the sunshine. The cream is subtle, it’s not gourmand cake-strong, but I’m glad it’s there. This fragrance is both warm and cool, like one of the first nice days of spring where the sun feels amazing but the breeze is cold. Gucci Flora initially made me think of Princesse Marina de Bourbon Reverence, even though they have little in common note-wise. So, I sprayed Reverence (which I am fond of) on my other arm for comparison. Both perfumes definitely smell juicy-floral in the first hour. Though they are like sister scents to me, Reverence smells more green/woody.
Gucci Flora dried down to a beautiful peony-Osmanthus-whipped cream scent on my skin. I will strongly consider buying a full bottle when my sample is gone. I could see this being a new signature for spring and summer.

cara94

I really enjoy the entire Flora collection, the gardenia is my favorite. This one is confidently balanced and whimsical. It does a good job not becoming the same fruit-patchouli a-typical fragrance we are used to.

I will say, this is not ground breaking or particularly unique, but I love it for the same reason I do the others; they smell clean and almost crisp. There's an element to them that make me feel very classy and put together. The offense just isn't there.

PeonySugar

The name Flora is misleading: it smells just fruity! Peaches and all other tropical fruits. I think japanese osmathus has that fruity scent. This is very appropraite for summer, it's like Ralph by R.Lauren grown up version.

raiza1990

This is beautiful! Feminine, elegant, luminous, soft and uplifting. It smells like something from another era, but doesn’t smell dated, if you know what i mean.
The opening is warm and floral, later it turns into a soft and slightly sweet powder with a floral touch. I posted a topic in the forum looking for a perfume that smelled like a flower warmed by the spring sun and to me, this fragrance feels exactly like that! So pretty and sexy! And peaceful at the same time. This is just delightful!
I am excited to try the edt!
I imagine a lady from the 1800’s wearing it. She is beautiful and feminine, loves to have fun and has a captivating naughty laugh.
Sillage is soft ( turns quickly into a skin scent, unfortunately). Longevity is moderate.
I recommend it to all women, regardless of age.
Final note: 10/10

lulami

Flora EDP is a beautiful perfume. So Simple and yet so fresh, flowery, juicy, well blended and ultimately so feminine. It's a perfume that lifts you up, makes you feel innocent and pure like a flower. A pretty scent to be worn everyday and also in special occasions. The scent for as much as I can remember hasn't changed but I do remember that the bottle and packaging used to be more elaborate whereas now they're much simple.

Anast4s1a

It's like a thin powder of thousands dried flowers : roses, carnations, violets... and other
And i also hear in Flora scent of cacao powder with a little bit note of burnt sugar & floral pollen. Pink peonies and osmanthus echo from far away.
Such join of notes, on my opinion, gives Flora a delicate chic.

Warm, bodily, cozy, alluring fragrance for autumn.

Palmer Eldritch

The osmanthus flower is a very peculiar floral note...it can get very sweet & sickly. I love this note, but I haven't found a single fragrance that doesn't turn into pee on my skin with this flower...

But for some reason Gucci Flora EDP does an OUTSTANDING job preventing this from happening.

First spray a burst of peony, oranges & citruses (no lemons) which quickly settles into the sweet osmanthus and later into a slightly peppery candied patchouli.

Basically a sweet, summery floral with a dash of citrus and patchouli, actually smells very very sweet like candy on my skin.

I absolutely love it, it reminds me of springtime, smells innocent and classy, perfect for me. One of my favourite hot weather scents...want to purchase it again!

Queen of torts

This was my first gucci fragrance and even though I have ventured into others by this brand, this will always be my first love. This was what I wore when I first started my career. Very few clients but smelling like a sweet, floral boss.

tandem_4x4

I got it in the 100 ml tall metal gold bottle with the Gucci logo pattern. The bottle is just to die for. I assume it is either a special tester or a limited edition bottle.

This is a fresh floral perfume with no character. It can be used as a sample uniform fresh floral. It is pleasant and inoffensive. This would suit any season, any time of the day, any age. Very very generic.

Probably it is so generic, that can be named "A Perfume".

Kitt3nReturns

MrsTeeFee- same here!! Well for the EDT at least, I don't think I've tried this once yet). Since I've always really loved the bottle since the EDT came out I kept testing it thinking it was a bad tester before, or my allergies, but nope, nada. I too cannot smell ANYTHING except maybe the tiiiiiiiniest hint of generic flowers. Maybe we're just anosmic? I want to try the EDP because hopefully I'll be able to at least smell something, since I have piterally no idea what this perfume is all about, but after reading your review my hopes aren't high :( lol. I've never been anosmic to anything before so I really want to know what the deal with this is. What am I/what are we (not) smelling?

jovejove

All the P&G produced scents are slowly on their way out. Gucci and Coty plan on taking it to a different direction. Can probably say bye to Premiere, Gucci Oud, Flora, Classic Guilty collection, Gucci by Gucci, and Envy.

elledeelee

This starts out really really strong and then it intensifies even more. Overpowering doesn't even begin to cover it. Headache Central! Too sweet, too retro, too much like laundry detergent. Not actually even particularly floral to my nose!! A real disappointment.

pjspaceshit

If I'm being honest, I find Gucci flora EDP very generic. To me it smells like light fruity floral shampoo/hairspray, but not in a bad way. Overall it is a like, but not a love. I will use up my bottle and probably not repurchase.

monamlisa

Now THIS is a perfume! Enough said!

HumesMistress

This is smooth, but still flowery. I mostly get the flowers with a faint vanilla like sandalwood and peach (osmanthus), these notes keep it from being sharp. It's almost creamy. It still smells like something that could've just come out today. Gucci Bloom gives me a headache, it's too sharp, but Flora is perfect.

I bought Flora EDT right when it came out in 2009, and it's the only perfume bottle I've ever finished. I just bought a new bottle of EDP with a December of 2018 batch code and it smells so similar to how I remember. The EDP is just stronger, creamier, and less sparkling... which is perfect for me. I forgot how much I love it. I'm buying a backup, and I don't currently own backups of anything.

Yay for finding a new signature scent, even if it's not "new" to me!

Ninasknows

It smells like nice clean laundry. Nothing special. Love the bottle and the name

Yasue

I have the EDP an at first spray this seemed like it would be too much--it's a little like flipping on a light in the middle of the night--a bit startling. It settles down quickly though and feels like a proper, confident woman's scent. After it settles in, it's neither too sweet or too sultry. It's unapologeticly feminine in a bold way.

I have a soft spot for peony and rose combined and those two notes come through well on me. Anything with sandalwood is typically appealing to me too. I do find that this changes as I wear it, but it's a powerhouse of longevity on me (rare these days) and the changes are subtle and slow, with the sandalwood and pepper featuring more than the patchouli. The slow pace and subtle change after bold opening might make these changes hard to detect on some skin though.

princessmorbux

It's kinda generic. It's kind of a sugar bomb. And for some reason I still like it. It reminds me of walking past a Victoria Secret, and not in a good way. But I'm still wearing it and have been all week so there's something to it. I like the way it wears down, but on first spray it's overwhelmingly underwhelming.

I don't get citrus off this and I wish I did. I wish the citrus was sharper. I definitely smell peony, pink pepper and patchouli though.

Sammy48

People love this I know but to me it smells awful. Its so overpowering. I thought maybe if I tried on my skin, it would settle and smell better but nope nope nope.

Perfumegoddess23

☆ Hello Miss Gucci Flora , Where should I begin?
This smells delightful, and the lasting power for the eau de parfum is lengthy with impressive projection. She can be worn all four seasons because this blossoms according to the climate always setting a tone of femininity & divinity. I reach for this one often because I can always just spray and go not worrying about touch up’s with it’s astounding lasting power. Peony & Citrusy whispers surround my space & it brings a delightful comfort for my senses to adore. What’s not to love? ☆

floralscents88

so feminine and floral. lasts all day on my skin. quite strong on first blast. can be overwhelming when overly sprayed.

violetbelle

Warm, fresh, cheerful. Often when I can't decide what to wear, I reach for Flora. It is a beautifully blended, sparkling, sweet(ish) floral that is suitable for any season and occasion.

dollusions

To me this fragrance is beautiful and undeniably feminine. It starts out fresh and clean smelling at first spray - then as the scent develops there is an interesting mix of floral notes but the dry down that I'm experiencing now is warm and enveloping, sensual and sort of oriental. Perfume is different on everyone and I just love this scent on me! I feel like a woman wearing this! There is such as difference in store bought and high end fragrances. This is a well rounded, full bodied scent!

MsKayJae

A perfumey perfume. The name suits. Flora is a simple but lovely well blended and balanced scent for lovers of fresh floral fumes.

Calvini

Great concept/notes, but too powdery/makeup-y

shusha

Flora is a masterpiece of balance! It's beautiful, sensual, and fresh. On me it smells like a clean skin after shower with an expensive floral soap. It holds its own throughout and doesn't fluctuate between the notes. Impressive sillage and longevity. I'm so glad I've tried it as it is really unique among a sea of sugar bombs. Sophisticated sweetness is all I can say.

brigitten

When I think about notes, Flora is actually more fruity. I smell peach, melon and rose. I absolutely loved it for summer nights back in time. I didn't care for EDT, but perfume version is more sultry and juicy.

1Madeleine2

Somebody who was a friend wears this and I no longer have that friendship, so wanted to test this fragrance. It’s not for me, too fruity, reminds me of fruit tingles. I do, however, love Gucci Bloom, the original one. My husband recently treated me to a big bottle of Bloom, gorgeous, full blossom, summer fragrance.

sibaraa

This is a warm inoffensive fragrance. perfect for daily use especially evenings. I can't distinguish any peony in this which is good, since peonies can be sharp at times. The rose is soft and the base is Amazing!

PNBP

OMG, this is officially the one on top of all perfumes i've ever used LOL, to me, it smells FREAKING delicious, like foods, like I just wanna drink or devour it if I can! Surprisingly, I tend to fall for any perfumes that has rose or citrus notes within, and Gucci Flora has both! Now you know why I'm so obsessed over it! LOVEEEEE ITTTTT

tinkerbelllx

I’ve had my eye on this perfume for some time now. I own a small vial sample of the EDT and fell in love with the soft citrus smell. To my surprise the EDP version has the most beautiful Osmanthus and Rose notes I failed to noticed on the EDT version. I’m glad I was able to find this gem at my local Ulta store on sale for half the price. Absolutely gorgeous.

duskymusings

Love the bottle love love the perfume!

This one makes me smell so expensive like I'm walking out of a palace. BEAUTY !!

sarah.brooks

I also like Flora by Gucci and is a very femme parfum so beautiful and a new intense version won't hurt...

tyekristopher

Beautiful! Absolutely stunning! This creamy floral is a dream come true. I’m picky and this is the only Gucci I like besides bamboo. I don’t like florals too much but this is beautiful the peonies really stand out and the citrus notes do as well. I love it

shushkin

Im pretty picky with florals. I like them fresh and natural. Im a keen and very experienced gardener so I like to think I know my flower scents after all these years. My gardens are dominated by scented plants and shrubs.
This fits the bill. Very ladylike and it will very much appeal to the English roses out there.
The peony, osmanthus and citrus dominate on the opening. A delicate fruity floral scent that reminds me of one of my David Austin roses. No surprise that there is some rose in here. It's very low key though.
There is a nice bit of kick from the pepper. I can just about detect the patch at the back.
A lovely casual scent for warm and lazy days. Very feminine. It's a shame it retracts to a skin scent so quickly. Moderate longevity but mostly as a skin scent.

MoniSK

Gucci is one of the best brands for parfumes on the market in my opinion, love premiere, guilty and also this one. Its floral sweet and little powdery. For any occasion.Last all day on my skin

lmwimsatt

Omg. I wanted this perfume when it came out bc I thought it would be a great mature replacement for viva la juicy as my new signature. I was 23. I finally tHought I'd gotten around to buying it 3 years later. I didn't care much for it anymore and I couldn't figure out why. 5 1/2 yrs later my bottle is still full and in great condition still. Well it turns out I'd accidentally bought the eau fresh version. Well I finally have the original and it's everything I remember smelling on that shopping day on rodeo 8 yrs ago. I love it

yanein

Love love love Gucci Flora EDP. My “happy” perfume. Seriously. The scent makes me happy. But its so expensive here.

muahah

Floral-fruity resinous peppery. It does have some metallic note as others mentioned in reviews. For some reason this 'metallic' reminds me swimsuit, therefor for me it is more as summer perfume. EDT is more fruity, but EDP more floral and airy. It is feminine, elegant, lovely and dreamy. There is something that makes it classy. Sugary, but not too sweet. Pepper and citrus note in background. I wish I could like it more, but alas too synthetic resinous for me.

[email protected]

Love the peony opening! The citrus can seem overpowering at first but fades fast for me. I get a very warm, woody, floral. Not cloying or powdery to me at all, just very straightforward floral with those warm undertones. Received compliments almost immediately after putting it on. Still, if I had to pack a suitcase of perfume to take to a deserted island, this wouldn't be one of them. For me it is lacking something- maybe because the citrus doesn't come through so much. I also find that it doesn't last long and I go through it pretty quickly if I am wearing regularly. (And I am not one of those people who needs everyone in a mile radius to smell her- I prefer a soft sillage which I feel this has).

shalimaraddict

I'm not a big fan of this or the EDT. They both smell sour, medicinal, and metallic.

judybikmeit

Received full bottle as Christmas gift. I love the initial floral burst but gosh, 1 sprint and i feel nauseous I dont even know why. I checked the notes and I cant figure out what gives me headache. Perhaps its composition. I would say this is my kind of perfume if it doesnt give me any headache. Im selling mine away. I dont think Ill be able to wear this.

iamoir

An underestimated one. Not unique. Not groundbreaking. But somehow it's beautiful and has quality in its simplicity. It's far from Bloom, their newer release, but it's not that much lower.

What I smell is a softly sweet balmy scent, sweetness that couldn't bother anyone, very feminine, a moderately sweet peony. The perfume is not as citrusy as the notes indicate.

A lot would state it smells shampooish. Just like Chanel Eau tendre. In fact if you like the latter, chances are you are going to like Flora too.

The osmanthus does get prevalent, with its fruity apricoty ascents, does not dissapoint. Simple and cute. Sweet and sour.

The scent deepens with carefully measured additions of santal and patchouli never becoming overpowering. Basically it's how Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet should have smelled like, but instead we got a mih meh smell.

ShiraJemJem

Super fresh and powerful fruity floral scent. Perfect for uplifting mood. Maybe sharp at first sniff but it gets softer later. Every time I'm wearing this one I feel like I'm laying on a field of peony and osmanthus and has citruses juice splash all over you. Hahaha

It has incredible longevity and super strong sillage (obviously because it's EDP). So please be careful to not spray it too much.

zu_misha88

My 89 year old mother and I had our own bottles of this. Unfortunately, something in this scent made me very nauseous...a real scrubber for me. Strangely, while my mother did not have the same reaction when she wore it,those around her consistently commented her perfume made them nauseous!!! Am still wondering what note/s caused the negative effect?????

lizzie2

I like this scent but I find that I do not smell it after putting it on for long. I don't know if others are aware of it but as the main reason I am attracted to a scent is that it makes me feel good, this one falls short. I keep going back and trying it again and again as I would really like to love it! Flower Bomb does more for me!

shauna.parra

Flora for me was like when I first experienced Si by Armani and Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf. Like those perfumes it's a mature grown-up scent with more complexity and a little more 'shade' than the colorful sugary sweet girly trashy celebrity gourmand perfumes out there. I've gone through many perfumes like that and just like you stop wearing clothes that don't fit you anymore because you're in your 20's and not in junior high or high school anymore you finally decide to wear more sophisticated adult fragrances like this one.

Like it's Latin name Flora this is a floral. It opens up with a citrusy rose top, all green, leafy, herbal, rose-scented but with those citrus notes around it. Smells almost like neroli but more subdued and more green and herbal. The pepper note is noticeable and the patchouli which gives this that green coloring. The sandalwood is also coming through and some musk. It smells more unisex than feminine and has some pretty good longevity/sillage if you get the Parfum. The Toilette is more like green floral toilet water and lasts a shorter time. It's a clean but not soapy herbal aroma.

Flora might be too 'mature' for some 18 through 20 something year olds chained to the gourmand celebrity fluff but it's easy to enjoy and appreciate. This is good for autumn and winter and can be worn with like a formal black evening dress, a coat, or business suit. She takes herself seriously and exudes healthy confidence as opposed to assertive-aggression, she is peaceful, secure in her world, a little dark but more in the contemplative sense, calm, intellectual, bookworm type. Think Belle from Beauty and the Beast. This is an awesome perfume. I don't see it in any Macy's so I would look for it in the online sites like Amazon.com or eBay

GGLiCious

@toni64 the current bottle & packaging are the reformulated version but still has all the notes that the old one does. But to me this black cap EdP version has more wearable than the vintage one. I felt like it has lose it's strong characters a bit. But still got same perfomance from both. But if you love this EdP, go get the gold cap version as a back up, as much as you can & you will not regrets. My personal rating, BIG 10 TIMES LOVES FOR THE EDP GOLD CAP VERSION & just a like for the EdP black cap version.

@perfumgoddess23 me too. I do wear different perfumes 7 days a week. I feel bored to smell the same perfumes on me everyday. Need something to lift up the mood each day. Even when I'm on my travel I bring along some of my miniatures

toni64

I'm confused what is the difference between Gucci flora edp in white box with gold label on bottle and Gucci flora edp in coloured box with flowers with black label on bottle. or is it just been updated. If it has which is the better perfume???

Thanks GGLiCious I ended up purchasing the black cap label bottle as the gold label was way out of my price. Hope its as nice as gold label so thanks for your help

mhill461

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. It is a clean, floral scent that is perfect for everyday wear.
However, on me It pulls an ever-so-slight "cleaning product" smell and has a bit of a "burn your nose hairs" pungent quality to it especially at first so that would prevent me from wearing it really often.
Overall though, It's a nice non-offensive perfume that I could see working on any age woman. I just wouldn't personally wear it very often.

PseudoIntellectualXing

This is a very sweet perfume, I liked it a lot and wore it in winter. But in summer the scent gets a bit too heavy, and definitely not a nice smell if you sweat a little bit... And for some reasons the scent is a bit childish. As the name goes, it is probably more suitable for flowery happy teenage girls.

Missmaassen

My sister used Flora today and I completely remembered why I loved it. Flora used to be one of my faves back in the day and definitely back on my wish list. Gucci's enchanting fragrance is sweetness mixed with floral. Amid fruit and flower extracts, it is unique, sophisticated, sexy, and edgy. Inspired by princesses from the past, present, and future. Completely ethereal, Flora is for the female who is classy, and loves a touch of nostalgia. This fragrance lasts for hours which is a plus for many. If you like sweet scents that are clean this is the one for you!

Russian girl

I have the first batch and it is quite different from new formula. The old one is rounder and warmer, osmanthus is the main note. The scent develops very nicely from bright peony and citrus opening to osmanthus and rose and then to woody base. It is very long lasting and has great sillage. The new formula is soapy and a bit screechy to my nose and contains less osmanthus.

dglightblue

Gucci flora EDP

Right oh.
I very much liked the beginning and heart notes of this fragrance.
There is a sweet note in the base which annoys me.

I've also tried on Gucci premiere EDP today, which is in the same strain as this, escept premiere is more peppery and floral.

See I'm at the base note stage and I don't know if I want to open my new flora, as I could still swap it at this point.

I wish everything was made in 30ml sizes!
Premiere was a rip off $230 for a bottle, flora, about half that, and I got mine on sale further reduced. That's the only reason I got it. Four letter word: sale

Sorry to be a killjoy.
It lasts ages, and is in general I nice fragrance. I'll give her another shot in a day or so

kbord777

Gucci has somehow figured out how to bottle a beautiful spring day.

I get mostly delightful osmanthus and peony with hints of citrus. It becomes a little sweeter as time passes. After a day at work I could still smell it quite clearly. Longevity is excellent.

One coworker would smile big and say 'gosh you smell good' every time we crossed paths lol. This stuff is absolutely uplifting.

Spring days and smiles for everyone! :o)

Melodyy

This scent is unique, it just says "Gucci Flora". I smelled this on my colleague and she recommended this to me as one of the longest lasting perfumes of her collection. Got it and tried it, it has become my signature scent now. Love it so so much. It has the Chanel No5 FEEL to it, but does not smell like Chanel No5.

sretana

Pleasant and sweet. I would call this "fruity floral," and I get a ton of peach and apricot in it, even though it's not listed, mixed with cut grass at first, then by itself. It would have more dimension if it were a little bit drier.

BihterAnneBoleyn

okay that's gonna sound really weird but to me gucci flora smells like.. GRASS but not dirty grass it smells like clean grass surrounded by white flowers and on top of all that i smell baby powder. I really like it, it's my current signature scent I always get compliments when i wear it which is nice. i almost never wear it alone i love layering it with VS fresh & clean body lotion. the combo between them is absolutely beautiful

lulami

I don't know why I've been avoiding Gucci perfumes all this time. Recalling in my memory there was this episode 4-5 years ago in the perfume store. Gucci Flora line had just reached the market and everyone was so excited about them, so they were way too popular at the time and mainstream. That's something I dislike because people want the same product and we end up smelling all the same which is boring. Long story short, I sniffed all of them and found them very alcoholic, but I admit it was my fault because I was sniffing them all at once without leaving the right amount of time to my nose to relax.

During all this time Gucci Flora meant nothing to me and I was not even interested in them. But one day my female cousin told me she had smelled Flora on her friend and loved the perfume. That's when I started to gain interest in it. As soon as I found my self at the shop I went spaying it on my arm and paper strips and guess what? I loved it even better. This is so feminine and elegant and classy. It is a fruity floral to me. I love the peach note and peonia. But this frag wouldn't have been so special if it didn't feature the pink pepper note. You see there is this sort of continuum between Gucci Flora, Guilty, and Première and the element that acommunates them is the Pink pepper that confers the sour, tart feeling. It it wasn't for this note they would be floral or oriental scents like so many others in the market.

I've smelled both the edp and edt of flora but the edp is way better and with more character and more longlasting. The edt lacks something, it's not that deep and the peach note that I love so much is not prominent. Flora edp is perfect for any occasion and season. Whether you're wearing a casual and chic style, a dress, a tailleur this perfume will always go perfect. Definitely a great frag to have.

rihabi

This is something you'd either like or hate, nothing in between. To me it smells like a sour compote. No... just... no .... I don't know how such a huge brand could do such a concoction and women love it....

FabulouslyLazy

In the dog days patchouli comes up stronger than ever but it’s not invasive and headache-inducing. The perfume becomes very pepperish but at the same time remains cosy-floral and lasts the whole day — I sprayed it at 8 in the morning, I’ve been out and about until late this afternoon, gone through a sweaty jogging session and 13 hours later the scent is still here. I can’t help but love it. I’ve almost finished my bottle and will surely repurchase one.

lirael00

This one is easy to like, Good lasting power and projection, the mix of flowers and citrus, sweet but not too sweet. Nothing extraordinary more like simple, clean and nice. I am probably getting the second bottle soon.

Maya1982

First time when I got it, did not like at all! Later I fell in love with this perfume. Now I wear it constantly.

ladyarizel

Okaaaaaay. I wanted this for a long time but it came out not something as I expected. I thought this was something more "demure" but it's actually really strong. I was expecting floral and just slightly sweet. It's really sweet and oddly it smells like really thick and sweet liquor. There's a bit of "green plant" odor of an undertone. I prefer something more lighter yet sophisticated. This fragrance plays between a day and night scent for me. But I think I can still use this. Nice try.

After 4hrs..
Dry down, I like it.

Flora was the Roman goddess of the spring. Each year on the vernal equinox when spring arrived into the city of Rome, the citizens adorned themselves in flowers and laurel leaves and scattered flower petals on the streets. The Floralia held around April 27-28 was the Spring Festival in honor of the Goddess. Of course it was just a drunken and debauched feast day, and there were grapes being fed to Senators and soldiers by pretty maidens in gossamer gowns. It was a toga party. But can you imagine that aroma of flowers everywhere? There would have also been the smell of incense. I wanted Flora to smell like the Floralia, a hedonistic cornucopia of fruits and flowers, woods and incense. But no such luck. This is only a whisper of the Floralia. When I closed my eyes and inhaled the scent, I thought I smelled green leaves. And I did. It's patchouli. This has a green herbal patchouli but it was not very aromatic, it was faint and in the distance. It smelled like green grass as well, and it reminded me of garden bushes and shrubs. It was also reminding me of the opening to Quelques Fleurs with those green notes and citrus. This also has green notes and fresh citrus. There is a pleasant mandarin orange scent at the first spritz of Flora. Then the osmanthus scent wafts into the air. Aromatic, green, but again, a whisper, almost like we're leaving the Floralia on one of the roads outside of Rome, or about to enter into Rome and can only vaguely make out what's going on. The osmanthus is a note I enjoy in fragrance and it's the biggest accord here. Then I smelled some rose and peony flowers very pink and soft, delicate and dreamy. The scent of flowers gives way to the sandalwood in the dry down. It's a linear scent as in it does not develop into other scents nor does it every become heavy. For me the true Flora or Floralia scent is Paris by Yves Saint Laurent and Quelques Fleurs super floral fragrances. This is not floral enough for me. Someone mentioned that it smells like herbal-floral shampoo and it does. I have a shampoo and conditioner that smells just like this. I do enjoy it. It's refreshing, it's a quiet little spring scent and very relaxing, soothing and sweet. I enjoy putting it on after a shower. It does not have a long life in fact sometimes it's on me 2 hours other times 5 but that's not enough time for me. I would say it's moderate not too weak but the longevity is not to my liking. I also feel it sits close to the skin and doesn't throw out much sillage. It's pretty.

shwetadwivedi

This smells exactly like the fragrance used in some Alberto culver shampoos and conditioners. It is pleasant and different but after you have smelt it in a conditioner, you don't really want to wear it. At least that's what's happened to me

genny17

Ok, burnt shampoo!!?? Sorry, it is a very pretty sweet floral...easy to wear, nicely constructed and oh so very feminine too!!! I had it and used it all, thinking of getting another one as it smells soooo pretty!!! I like osmanthus as a rule, it has a smooth creamy vibe...
Lovely scent!! Springlike and charming!! young and romantic even

Azula

This fragrance has an uncanny resemblance to the scent of burnt hair. Wash your hair with a citrus/fruity shampoo and then set it on fire, and this is the result.

feelyah

What comes to my mind smelling this fragrance is a floral dance. Youthful and vernal, it is a fragrance for chic girls. I get the urge every spring.

When I wear this perfume, the moment I spray it on me, it is as if Donna Summer's I feel love begins to play out loudly. I mean it! I really love Flora EDP.
If I had to choose just one word to describe it, that word would be ethereal. Maybe it's the combination of the base notes and the osmanthus, when it dries down is simply perfect on me. The patchouli, which can create olfactory tragedies, is smoothly blended with the sandalwood and together they add depth to the scent. The projection is good, not too invasive but noticeable. Bright, feminine and kind of mysterious. Thank you Frida, this is pure perfection.

tessaeastgate

This somehow gets me a lot of compliments. I used to love it very much, but it's one of those things that I get tired of eventually. Gets rather unpleasantly sour during humid days. Maybe it's just me, though.

It's been nearly a year since I last used it. I'm sure if I re-visit the bottle on cooler days, I would find that I like it again, even for just a season.

In any case, I'll give it a thumbs up for all those days past that I loved it very much.

fleur fragile

The fresh florals are very apparent, which pleased me. Most florals give me a headache but Flora smells like a clean spring. It's clean, slightly bitter, and not heavy at all. The dry down is warmer and the rose is slightly overpowering.

There is one thing; I applied this to my wrist, and my skin immediately itched and formed a slight rash. This is not something that has ever happened to me before, so perhaps Flora is just not right for my body chemistry.

michelllee_a

I loved this perfume at first but honestly it's one of those fragrances that you get sick of really fast. I can't wear it anymore. It literally makes me feel nauseous. Super eh

Naureen

It was my top5 favorite but now i have so many perfumes that i forgot about flora gucci.

I love the scent, before nothing was like it, but now i can smell other fragrances with similar scent. Britney spears midnight fantasy is one of them which is far cheaper & has good staying power. But i do find the smell of flora gucci better than the others.

Ehsanehsan

It has a very light scent and one of the best floral perfumes tht i have ever seen.it,s frsh and citrus theme causes you to feel freshness and it doesnt disturb and tired you.i recommend it to young active ladies.

AgentEffex

This perfume is not what i expecting to love. I've imagined of a sharp and heavy floral scent with a citrus opening. I was wrong.

All i can smell is sweetness from osmanthus flower, peony and rose come together at middle. It's a warm, sweet, happy scent. I'm very enjoy this. It's easy to wear, suitable for all weather. Not too in-the-face scent, no harming. Love!

RosieRachel

Flora is a welcome change from a fruitchouli or a vanilla-based scent. It's a heady, warm and very sweet floral.

The opening is characterised by a juicy floral centered around the fruity, apricot-like osmanthus, which was lovely when combined with some slightly sharp citrusy accords. This developed into something a little more soapy and watery, until the scent really started to unnerve me. I then checked the notes and realised what it was: patchouli. That horrible, stomach-churning funk when combined with very sweet notes will always be my nemesis. I did not enjoy the dry-down of this at all. Soft to moderate sillage; longevity is for about 5-6 hours.

Jmalone84

Very similar to the others of the flora range. I think this scent is a bland watery floral sort of thing very much like D&G The One which I also don't particularly care for. I think it is the rose in it which ruins it for me as my nose is very much put off by anything rosey. Lovely scent but not for me.

CatherineLaundon

This perfume was totally not what I was expecting when I went to spray it. I was imagining some kind of heavy, yet conservative "Anais Anais"-style floral. Gucci Flora EDP is a sparkling floral fragrance. It smells like an old-school chypre without the animalic elements. Flora is rather linear in its progression, slightly soapy and more fruity than floral in my opinion.

A nice scent of citrus, osmanthnus and peony. Acidic and sharp, it reminds me a bit of sherbet lemons (some say cat-pee, which I sort of understand how this could evolve as such on certain people's skin but not on mine). Obviously skin chemistry plays a big role in the evolution of this fragrance. This is definitely a try before you buy.

I also don't know anybody else who wears this fragrance, if that's something which matters to anyone.

Unfortunately, like most other Gucci fragrances I've tried, the silage and projection is not good. As an eau de parfum, there is a nice scent cloud for around 2 hours or so, but then the scent dies off considerably. By around 6 hours in it has become a skin-scent.

Overall complete longevity is 7-12 hours, but like I said this fades considerably in silage during that time.

ladyone1

I am a fan of Gucci fragrances... But flora...It's too bitter for me, I don't like it...

emilianods75

Amazing lasting power. Floral but fresh. A little sweet but just the right dose. I love it!

Pear77

I love this scent! Who created this (nose)?

Leximackenzie

I love this scent. A juicy beautiful floral, which is clean rather than sweet. A little powdery, but not too much. I always get complimented on my perfume whilst wearing it.

I wouldn't really say this is overly floral, as the name would suggest - this smells more fruity to me. It packs quite a punch and lasts all day quite easily, but the scent isn't too overpowering.

I wear this all year round and either day or night, it really is lovely and a perfume that I have purchased again and again.

Bloodlust

This was close to a "want" for me, but I found it is MUCH different on skin than on paper. Perhaps it's just my chemistry, but -

Flora EDP starts off with a fuzzy, sweet, floral, citrus combination - and that's where it loses me. The citrus is lemon & something more along the lines of shampoo-based-soapy mandarin, and the peony is undeniably sweet & strong. The sweetness is very much on the sugary side - not gourmand, but sickly sweet & sharp. The drydown is just a slightly softened version of the initial jumble. So, while it's linear in it's progression, it's still feels like a clustered, clumsy mess.

For a refined & more blended scent that shares similar characteristics, try: Creed's Asian Green Tea, or even Miss Dior EDP for that sweet citrus!

I'm wondering if the EDT is more polite, because I was really hoping to make this 'fume work!

SweetHeart90

I have always loved the Flora scent, so when Gucci released the EDP version I was like YAAAAY because it had to mean that the only thing wrong with the EDT version - it's longevity - would be fixed.

WRONG!

This version of Flora is more rounded, more deeper, but still that feminine, fruity/floral, scent that is like heaven in a bottle. I imagine this is what running in a field with flowers in my hair would smell like (I live in suburban australia, so forgive me if running in a field of flowers smells nothing like this)

but COME ON you would think being an EDP it would have to have decent staying power, or at least be miles better than the EDT. I sprayed at 8am, by 10am it was very weak. Might as well have saved my $$ and bought another EDT bottle. I even layered the body lotion with it aaaaand nothing :( I shouldnt be that surprised, Guilty Intense was not much better than regular Guilty in the longevity department.

I am thinking Gucci is jumping on the "make it weak, customer sprays more, customer uses more, customer purchases again sooner" bandwagon. At least there will always be Chanel.

Lybarra118

Lovely, sweet, green leafy floral, not to be mistaken for a fruity-floral. The juice is actually quite rich and thick. Longevity on my skin is 8+ hours and projection can be loud if sprayed with a heavy hand.

Side note: I love the bottle.

ladyfragantica

Opening is really sweet, which is something that I like, then more sweetness and flowers, good staying power 4 to 6 hours and more if you put some on your clothing, however the price is really high, try to get a hold of it as a sale opportunity.

cicciosam

I don't have it but i have smelled it and i like it !

- Flora is a very warm and fresh floral fragrance in the same time .

- I think it is not for young ladies or teenager but for mature women .

primarycook

I thought I loved this, but I do not. Wish I hadn't purchased it, I never feel like wearing it. There is some heavy, thick note that I don't really care for and the perfume overall seems too sweet.

CozyCat

Dreadfully boring. A very sweet floral. Overpriced and overrated. It fails to inspire any sort of mood or emotion in me. Just the regular bunch of flowers, in a done-to-death combination of rose + peony + citrus + some sweet watery floral...but wait, it gets worse...in Gucci Flora that generic (but usually lovely/fresh/pleasant) combination is intensified and made cloyingly sweet by the addition of patchouli.
So I guess that just makes Flora even more intensely and in-your-face generic than the regular, lighter rose/peony/citrus combos.

pollita

I feel it a little bit too sweet and a little too acidic. Maybe it's because my skin type and pH. Anyways, a beautiful blended scent. Young but immature. For girls between 15-25 years. I may say that I prefer more deeper scents such as Bvlgari Jasmin Noir or Very Irresistible Givenchy. For those who want to keep it simple, in a white laced medium length dress and some flats or a fine sandal, in the summer sun, this will be a well balanced perfume. Cosy, floral but fruity and childish. Maybe innocent and seductive in a naive way.

Ioli19

I could wear this any season, it's beautiful, great silage, great longevity.
The initial citrus is brill, not sharp nor sweet, but its fresh and zesty. Soon the best osmanthus note appears, I love osmanthus and this is perfect!
It's the ideal floral perfume, well blended, and by far the best in the whole of the Flora series!
Great job by Gucci, their best perfume! Love it!

lkg14

I really like this after the first few minutes. It's great. But....when first applied I get hair products and musk/smoke.

ScarlettX

Quite good floral scent. I think there's also a dominant sweet fruity scent in it, so it's fruity-floral.
Fresh, but not too much. Also not overwhelmingly sweet or overwhelming in any other way. Delicate and clean. There is some kind of medicament scent in it, but it doesn't bother me.
It's a daytime fragrance and perfect for summer/spring.
Also good for a day in office or school. An everyday scent.
Very nice!

rickyfreaky13

Best floral perfume ever!!! One of my top 5. Can't find any other floral fragrance better than this. Gucci Flora EDP is so gorgeous, rich, elegant, and sophisticated.

LisaMari

It has a light powdery, sugary sweetness and is fresh and peppery, held together with a slight sweet musk.
I like it - its interesting and has a nice fresh/dry note that honestly reminds me of new carpet (which I like anyway). Like when you walk in to a carpet shop -a clean, dry, fluffy scent.

semsem_sunshine

One of the best floral fragrances out there :)
Fresh but not sporty or overwhelmingly citrus
Slightly sweet but not sugary
Special, not a typical floral
A little bit heavy so one spritz in the air and walk through it and you're good to go
Oh and the bottle is amazing (I'm a sucker for cute bottles) :D

GabrielaBurolo

I liked it at first sniff and bought it. But I regret it. There is a floral note that I don't like at all!

ginawadsworth

Follow up to previous post;

Having worn this for 2 days now, I can say I really do like this. I do not like any fruit in perfumes, and looking at Osmanthus in the notes info, I see it is apricot/leather. I guess I am picking up on the leather/patchouli/pepper as opposed to fruit in this perfume.

It is almost chypre like. Slightly mature but also wearable by women, but probably not teenagers.

I would call this a "business" scent, elegant, refined and classical, and is close to the skin but I find that appealing as my husband has to get close to smell it !!!

However don't let that put you off, it is well constructed and I will be sampling more Gucci's as a result.

ginawadsworth

I am very fortunate in that my husband likes me to wear perfume, and if he goes to the city he often returns with bearing perfume gifts.

I was given his last night, at some ungodly hour, on his return. As I was wearing Obsession, I chose to wait until after my shower this morning to try it. I have never purchased Gucci before, so this gave me an opportunity to test something I would not have bought. My husband has a good "nose" and chooses such lovely perfumes for me.

Once again, he has brought home an Olfactory delight. I often get so caught up in doing research here before I buy that I prejudice my choice.

Anyway to sum up, I really like it. It hits all the right notes for me and him, and will make further comments after a day or two of wearing this.

Hellita

I want this perfume so bad and I'm just waiting to pick it up on duty free on my first travel abroad this year! I think that Thurea did a great review of Flora EdP, so I won't bother giving another one as I feel the same way! Great fragrance, just lovely.

PS! I've finally bought me a Flora EDP 50 ml. and I enjoy every bit of it! I can't really understand some of the harsh reviews below, but I'll tell you one thing. If you've smelled Flora from the bottle in perfume stores and it smells weird or sour, please don't let it scare you away as the testers are often treated badly and lights and warmth will destroy the fragrance. If you try a brand new bottle, I can't imagine anyone not falling in love with this juice! One of my favorites! :)

Thurea

This is a unique, young lady.

At first spray it's very light on the floral and just sweet, lemon candies, the chewing kind. After a while, it's like I don't understand why it's even called "Flora" in the first place. The different kind of sweet citrus fruits, patchouli and the ever so slightest hint of peony is what radiates softly from where I sprayed it, after about 10-20 minutes of dry-down time.

It's unique. Definitely. Many times in the past when I've walked past someone I've detected the subtle traces of this in the air, and since this was a blind buy, I smirked and went "So THIS is that perfume!" when I sprayed it. It's almost as if it sparkles and tingles slightly in your nostrils when you smell it, as if beaming a smile of citrus and bright florals. It's beautiful and everything you could possibly ask for in a signature scent.

Unfortunately, while it has outstanding lasting power, its sillage is so soft it's near indetectable. I'd had hoped for something more potent from an EdP, but I guess that's the charm and personality of Flora: The sheer tenderness of it.

I'm in love.

Elmyra

Very unique and smells like nothing else out there, that it can be compared to.
Another masterpiece from Gucci, long lasting, beautiful development of notes, excuisite and very interesting. Among my top 10 fragrances.

(English)
Earlier hottie is, but nothing too, after some 15-20 minutes it gets sweeter, only a sweet synthetic, artificial, nothing comfortable or cozy, it has a smell of medicine is almost childish. Can be used on a daily basis if you do not cause headache, it was a blind purchase and I will not buy again.

Seems I'm just one of the few here who got vanilla from this EDP after I tested this from a department store. I liked that it was a fresh vanilla as opposed to a warm one (a warm one would be cloying here in the tropics), which I found quite unique and more attractive than the sweet vanillas which abound nowadays, but was surprised upon looking up the notes in fragrantica that there is no vanilla. I was even more surprised after purchasing a bottle that it was totally different from how the tester in the store smelled on me. Perhaps the tester was spoiled? But funny that I liked the "spoiled" scent better than that of the fresh bottle. Flora's scent is off-putting and I almost couldn't stand sniffing it on my skin. I don't kmow for sure what osmanthus smells like, but if that's the strongest note as voted by reviewers here, then I'd be more wary of that note in future purchases. I don't get any citruses on my skin, but I do smell citrus and mandarin orange when sprayed on clothing. Too bad, because the citruses are the only thing that balance out the cloying (osmanthus?) note for me. Flora is just okay for me but I wouldn't think much of parting with it.
EDIT: I live in the tropics and I tested this frag in the rainy season. It was much more humid then; but now in the cooler and drier months of January and February, Flora gets much better. The citruses become a bit more noticeable and balances out the osmanthus.

Ivanete Bampi

This bottle has a lovely design. Everything about him is perfect and good quality. Since the hexagon has a heavy glass, finishing first and when we open the box, the internal black pattern with flowers on white makes it an elegant and delicate gift.
The scent is mild, springlike absolutely accepting a good summer.
I'm already famous for citrus detest, but here's an intriguing citrus, the top notes, citrus and bergamot does not scare me, the pink pepper is very calm this scent, his only fault is that 'strangely' is called Flora (me sends the flower, but feeling he came to understand this name in the broad sense of the word), is classified as a floral, but the flowers are so shy that you hardly feel them. Its floral notes are very timid even, you know they are there in the whole of the work, but do not feel alone.
And seeing the review below, I'm not the only one who thinks that it.
In the evolution allows the combination of patchouli, sandalwood but that makes a marriage work with citrusy.
It is very comfortable, there is a striking floral, or a perfume that goes a trace or something, who will only feel approaching.
He makes the kind gentle, meek and gentle, for those days when you're dreaming and needing to see everything in pink
Well, there is a floral that is not floral, citrus is no burning nostrils, soft and lovely.

Initial Spritz: Lilly is the most prominent
5 min later: it's a very light & clean; I smell lemon and white flowers
30min later: That harsh lemon /acidic note has disappeared ...it reminds me of J'adore with a drop of vanilla or a lighter version of D&G l'eau The One
1 hr later: a shy rose tried to shine amidst white flowers, vanilla and lemon
5.5 hrs later: apricots and white flowers, still very similar to a less acidic less musky J'adore
9 hrs later: a nice warm apricot scent

On my skin there is no patchouli ,sandal wood or peony.

Overall Gucci flora is light but long lasting. It stays fairly close to the skin and I keep having to put my nose right up to my arm to smell it. It is not linear so if you are repulsed by the initial smell give it some time to develop. It is a good scent for those who don't like strong perfumes and those who gravitate towards fresh / floral scents.

Skin Type: oily
Office safe: yes very
Potency: Medium ( 3-5 sprays)
Timing: spring & summer
Projection: sits close to the skin initially arms length after a few hours
Longevity: 10 hrs +
Price about $49 for 50 ml perfume & lotion at Winners
Packaging: 8/10

Will I Repurchase: yes

I was searching for new perfume for this summer and faced Gucci Flora edp (the name seemed for me very summery:). I sniffed it from the bottle and suddenly some sour scent repeled me instantly, i even didnt want to test it on the paper.
But after week i was visiting my sister. She showed me the present from her husband - it was Gucci Flora. I instantly remembered that sour scent. So she sprayed couple spritzes on her hand and suddenly i felt so wonderful smell! I couldn`t beleave that it was the same perfume which i tested a week ago.
I tried it on my hand too. On me firstly opnes fresh citrusy notes-mandarin and citruses. They fades away quite quikly and then opens such a pleasant powdery scent ( I think roses mixes with sandalwood and pink pepper), which lasts on me all day long.
OK, next day I bought this perfume. I know now me and my sister smelling the same, but I couldnt help myselfe not buying this gorgeous perfume.:)
While i am wearing Flora i feel so feminine, fresh, but that powdery scent gives sensuality, and sexy feeling. Definetly gonna be my signature summer scent!
Also I was asked more than one time what gorgeous perfume I was wearing:)

missajane

I really like this perfume. To me, it smells like a musky, spicy, floral. It is a lot different than my other sweet perfumes. It smells more grown up to me. The bottle itself is very elegant, and I love pretty perfume bottles. However, I think the downside to this perfume is that, from what I have found, only certain people like it. I love it, but my mom and my boyfriend cannot stand it. So, unfortunately, I do not wear it often. So, this is one of those scents that I have to pick and choose when I wear it.

ngocnguyen207

I used to had the EDT version, which was nice but the longevity was not up to my expectation. Then I decided to go for the EDP version, with the hope that it would last longer on my skin.

I had to say I did not really satisfy even with the EDP. The smell on my skin lasted for 4 hours or 5 max. I applied with 2 pumps on the wrists, and neck.

It smells 90% alike the EDT version, but the floral scent is a little bit overwhelmed than the EDT, though it's still nice.

Compared to my most favourite one: Alien from Mugler house, this would get a 6.5, minus 1 point for the moderate lasting.

Overall, yeah quite satified but dear Gucci, I know you can do better!

CoffeeCup

Ah, what a wonderful fluffy cloud of soft feathers this fragrance is! Instant"want"! No, it's an instant "need"! Feels like I have been craving for it, and missing Flora for my whole life even without knowing it. I'm in love!!!

Plumiegirl

I love this scent. I put this on my clothing because I got a skin reaction but love this scent too much to give it up. I love how this settles into a nice powder floral scent. I have in in both parfume and toilet. Its my new favorite.

Update: It lasts at least 6hrs and when I was shopping when someone remarked that I smelled good as I passed by. I is my go to perfume this summer.

valeriapredoiu

ok, but not wow. too heavy for summer, maybe cool summer-nights. a perfume made with haste, not well rounded.

rosembloom

I am presently amazed at this wondrous concoction! I usually do not like Florals as they usually 'turn musty on me' but this 'Flora' is a treat to my nose and soul! She is light yet powerful enough to be noticed in a crowd. The notes blens so well into my skin that she radiates delicately around me all day. -When sprayed on my clothes and hair is when it is more noticeable.- The bottle is ever so lovely! Classy, Delicate, Youthful yet mature.. I find it looks lovely on a mirrored shelf , is elegant and easy to use. Sweet, innocent, playful yet sexy and Cuddly: this is how I see the Flora woman. Sweet cirtus greet you whith a light floral note that reminds me of Early Spring days. As it deepens to the opulent heart, a delicate Rose note emerges and remains throughout the drydown. A candied one that is in no way cloying but quite present (to me..). The base itself is dreamy, floral & still honeyed , spiced up with deep Patchouli ( dry and reminiscent of Cocoa) and smoothed over with creamy-light Sandalwood that lingers like a fine French-Milled Rose soap on my skin for several hours. Thank You Red for gifting me with that wonderful fragrance! It is soothing and delights me. Great choice my friend and thank you for suuuch al lovely swap!
Edit: How this Flora is growing on me.lol! Me, the fruity gourmand lover of honey and pralines? I ,who usually crave stong and sweet vanilla, resins, spices and opulence??? I would have passed this lovely by had it not been for dear Red who figured I might like it : well, my timeline thingamajig tells all! I seem to start the day wanting to wear 10 others fragrances and lookie: I end up Flora-lised!!! Cannot stop smelling my wrist. It is soo soothing. Shall repurchase for sure or perhaps a flanker... Uplifing indeed 7663shannon! I almost feel in love!

7663shannon

I cannot get enough of this beautiful scent. Unfortunatly it doe not last on my skin. Why ?? I cannot wash J'adore off and I cannot make this stay:(
This is such an uplifting, beautiful floral that never gets cloying or sweet on my skin. Love

Vampiris

personally i am not a fan of floral scents..they tend to be boring, sharp and outdated sometimes..however flora has a twist..i love the hint of citrusy notes in this, it smells like orange cake icing..delicious and uplifting..

i received my first 50ml of this perfume on my birthday a few years back..crazily in love with it..after emptying the bottle literally, I had a break from it for quite a while..recently I smelt something divine on a pair of my old jeans..I thought to myself..this smells soo good and pleasant..then I remembered it was my flora..so last week I got my 75ml bottle..I am really pleased to have it again :)

I have gone through quite a lot of perfumes in the past years, Flora doesn't have the wow factor I am always after, but it has managed to win a spot in my perfume collections..the bottle looks pretty neat and gorgeous..I always love fragrance in a heavy glass bottle..the scent is divine and sweet..but not as generic as some perfume fans described or overpowering..it's just a very optimistic frag that makes me happy..the Osmanthus note in it is spot on..the citrusy and floral notes blend so well together, creates this deep beautiful floral sensation to indulge..

It's not my special occasion frag as it's still a safe frag which doesn't really stand out in my opinion, the EDT and EDP smell almost identical, but EDP works better, longevity and strength wise..however, its longevity is still just average and its sillage is quite moderate among my frag collections

overall it's not my top favorite due to its average sillage and longevity..I love the strong scent that really lasts and stands out..but it's very pleasant and I would recommend it if you are after a modern floral scent to enjoy it by yourself or someone 'close to you'

genny17

I really like Flora EDP, it smells delicious, vibrant, just a gorgeous soft floral. EDT was blah to my nose, EDP is way better, rich, with a wonderful note of Osmanthus mixing in nicely with the peony. Beautiful harmony of notes, I don't get much patchouli which is great. Feminine, warm, attractive, one to have for sure.

[email protected]

My friend have this perfume. I got the smell of it in her car. Definitely suitable for women of all ages but just not me. It's a strong floral fragrance. Such strong fragrance can give me a headache. I think this perfume is becoming a common fragrance for everyone and I don't think it's that unique anymore.

deliten

I really wanted to love this one, bought a sample size (5ml or so) to try it out. The citrus/mandarin note in this one is waay to strong and makes the scent cold and rather "perfumy". It doesn't smell natural. Maybe if they would have put a slight touch of vanilla/caramel it it to warm it up it would have been better..

Even so, it is an ok everyday scent with pretty good sillage, and I can see how so many likes it (especially citrus lovers!). But to be honest - I don't get the hype.

Too bad

EDIT: I have now come to appreciate this scent. It is very fresh indeed and perfect for daytime in school and such. I think that I didn't like this one initially because I thought that it would smell like a stronger version of Gucci Flora gorgeous gardenia, which it did not. It has a few similarities though. Flora does smell natural, but can be overwhelming if not used with a light hand. What I like most is the staying power and silage. Might even purchase a full bottle..

hollycat

A fresh yet potent, fruity floral. Its sweet but not overbearingly so. I think its a pleasant scent suitable for an office job and day wear.

Its nothing remarkable imo. But it does have quality and I can see this working wonders for some women. It cant be pinned down to one age group either, as it can be youthful yet mature at once.

Im not a fruity floral gal, so its not for me. But if you want a tasteful scent that would be a crowd pleaser and you wear floral fruity scents well, check out Flora. Its unique in that its not too sweet and isnt loaded with vanilla. Vanilla is one note that seems omnipresent, and I need a break.

GlitterCupcake

I've been using this one for well over a year now.

It may put you off at first as it starts out very strong, but once it settles down it turns into this fresh, vibrant composition of pretty florals. I can smell peonies and citruses, with a subtle note of sandalwood, which becomes more obvious as the scent dries down.

I think this is a perfect spring/summer scent, it makes me think of warm summer evenings; it's very young and playful, but also quite sexy; some people say it's too generic and although I'd disagree, I see their point - it's nothing too risky, very safe to wear, which makes it suitable to wear everyday, not ony on special occasions.

The lasting power is great - you only need 2 spritzers and it will stay on all day, my clothes smells of it even a few days after use. Love the packaging aswell!

LadyRogue

This fruity floral (more floral than fruity) is in my opinion just as classy and chic smelling as the bottle looks.

Juicy, creamy osmanthus infused with soft citric's, a strong peony note, a rose with a whiff of vanilla leading to a drydown with a hint of sandalwood to give the florals a well chosen 'earthy' vibe. This is how this elegant scent unfolds on my skin.

An all-rounder that behaves at all occasions, I can't see you going wrong wearing this. It's like a little black dress among florals, it is versatile and classy. A well blended and timeless perfume. I daresay that people who normally wouldn't like florals might find this beauty appealing.

Silage is: "a classy and beautiful floral aura with fruity moments and an apparition of sandalwood that enhances its beauty." -- Longevity is very different from person to person. On me it's a satisfying 5+ hours if applied on clothes too.

Not the cheapest scent and notoriously moody depending on chemistry, so sample on skin before purchase to avoid buying a pretty yet fleeting disappointment. Good luck! : )

Eicher

I could only agree with n.hidayah. I also feel the vanilla, though it's not listed anywhere. I am happy to not to be the only one. I bought Flora based on its composition - a blind buy. Well, it's definitely not my perfume. Very young and kind of sweet. I love peony and I like rose and red pepper. Cannot feel any of these in Flora. The longevity is OK, though quite week compared that this is an EDP. Fortunately, I bought it for cheap.

I am so envious of those on whom Flora lasts more than 20 minutes. It's light, sparkly, warm, slightly orangy but more rosy floral and the peony and patchouli is so warm. I love it but it has vanished to the wind within half an hour, even after a slathering on wrists, back of hands, forearms, hair and clothes. On my daughter it lasts for an extra hour so so. And this is the EDP. Sigh. At least I got it (50ml) for only AU$28 on ebay.

I guess im the only one who get the vanilla. Its rather sweet than floral. I like it and usually i choose to wear this on every monday to increase my mood at office. And fortunately im not disturbed by the pink pepper which in other perfumes always get me headache. I recommend this to girls or ladies who enjoy being themselves and always wanna look young.

Lumiere

Warm elegant citrussy floral-lush...but so subtle on me. I can't smell a hint of it on my skin-it just disappears.

This is a warm, rich and lovely fragrance. Got the 30ml EDP and I just love it! Bit too woody in the top notes for my liking though, this is what I pick up anyway. But it's sweet and floral as well which makes it just beautiful. Classy and perfect for everyday use!

Gucci Flora is my all time favorite fragrance. Considering how many fragrances I have it is hard to pick just one to call a signature scent but, I love Gucci Flora! Gucci Flora is elegant, sophisticated, and classy. Fresh peony, cool citrus, sweet mandarin, fruity osmanthus, deep patchouli, soft rose, with light sandalwood and pink pepper. Absolutely amazing! Incredibly gorgeous fragrance! I Love it!
