Sensual & Decadent by Laurent Mazzone Parfums is a Amber Floral fragrance for women and men. Sensual & Decadent was launched in 2015. Top notes are Ylang-Ylang and Rhubarb; middle notes are Heliotrope and Labdanum; base notes are Vanilla, Benzoin and Agarwood (Oud).

The myth says that the goddess Aphrodite had her own bed deep inside the dark forest. Made of gentle moss, covered with bronzed leaves and bathed in gold resins, no one could escape her sensuality.

Sensual & Decadent is an Aphrodite remixed! A scent that goes beyond the search for conventions, the embodiment of all the luxury and glamour.

Nothing can surpass it, that's why you can find Baroque's beauty inside. Mingled bodies, decadency, gold glitter and Baroque's glamour, a touch of modern sensuality, this perfume is playing through your skin senses.

This reminds me of Montblanc Signature…very very sweet, lots of vanilla, but with a pungent note of an exotic fruit. Dont like it. In order for it to be sensual, the “exotic” note should be out.

aspirina

Buttery, boozy, woody vanilla that feels silky and delicious. I get some Rhum note in the development of the scent, something like brown sugar too. I love it but the sillage and longevity are lacking potency. I would love to have a bottle but won't buy it at the current prices because of the performance.

Constansa

this is very nice vanilla smell. but also nothing special. One of many nice smells. For reasonable price could be wearable every day despite of occasion. For me it just sits on the skin and even moving nose away for more than 10 cm I cannot feel anything. Would i recommend? not really for that price

turtureaua

basic and awfully overpriced. however, for those who find this perfume sensual and decadent, you can also try the ambre vanille body butter by laura mercier; they are very similar.

Benzoin and labdanum stand out. One of the thousands of vanilla scents that suits both women and men. Nothing to write home about, especially for the price point.

Sensual & Decadent is a good vanilla scent which starts out with an almost buttery caramel-like vibe which is indeed pretty decadent, but kept from being too explicitly gourmand by the woody/smoky/spicy benzoin background. As it dries down it becomes more more powdery and exclusively vanillic in that generic way that I always like as well, no matter how recognizable it is from the dry down of a thousand other (quasi) gourmands. Bonus points for being smoky without straying into "barbecue" territory, which happens for a lot of caramel accords on my skin/to my nose. Longevity is also good, as can be expected from this list of notes (I only smell the heavier ones, not a trace of rhubarb or floral notes in my experience).

So yes, this is a good option to try if you're looking for a quasi-gourmand for fall and winter....but only if you've got money to burn, I think. It's definitely not worth its ridiculously high price - I'm not sure anything is, but in this genre especially there are loads of options that are cheaper and at least as good.

A alluring creamy balsamic vanilla. It gives you a very beautiful warm and sensual aura, an intimate and private moment. It sort of makes you feel out of everyone's league as it makes you feel very pretty.
I would say it's more of a feminine perfume, but it's just my opinion, I could totally imagine a male wearing it also.
The sillage is moderate. As I mentioned the perfume gives you sort of private moment. It stays close to your skin, but others, hugging you or those sitting next to you can sense it.
Longevity is very good. Long lasting both on clothing and on skin.
Beautiful both for summer evenings or for warming up your winter.

S&D greets the wearer with a creme brûlée accord. The scent of eggs’ cream and caramel is delicious. And I ask myself is this the sensual or the decadent? It looks like it’s both because I don’t smell anything else. And just when I am ready to crack the crust, it gets flat and vanillic, enough for me to lose my appetite.
It’s tolerable for a designer fragrance, but for a supposedly niche?

This is amazing. Very warm and sweet just enough, the equivalent of a cashmere sweater in perfume form. However, for me it is almost too perfect. It's like a ball of polished gold, so round and without any kind of edge to it. There is no surprise, no thrill. But it's been half a year since I've tried it and I still think about it...

Roses and Spices

Very close skin scent. Not particularly long lasting. Weak silage. Not too sweet smelling (although my skin tends to absorb very quickly). Its a gentle scent, very lovely. Smells like a very gentle version of Yucatan although that used to give me a headache. No headache here and it is well composed but certainly not price worthy. Shame because it is lovely but not amazing.

mister_chaz

Very long lasting and potent buttery vanilla. For the first several hours, it has some dense floral powdery quality, the dry down is almost like pure vanille extrait used for baking. It's good, but feels too heavy for my liking.

minaminamina

The ultimate vanilla fragrance for all vanilla lovers. A decadent vanilla dessert. All the other notes are barely detectable, this is vanilla, vanilla & once more vanilla, but the other notes do give this scent thickness & importance.

It's almost translucent, ethereal while being so vanillic & dusty. Yes, maybe a pixi dust of the gods. Very feminin in my opinion.

Also very Italian. I see a Monica Bellucci wearing this. Long dark hair & purple lips Dolce& Gabbana style. A true Italian beauty.

Having said that, fortunately for my wallet this is not something I need in my
Wardrobe.

Tested from a sample freshly decanted from a LM bottle in a prestigious boutique.

UPDATE...2019...

I ended up getting this...oh god, yes it’s vanilla....buttery, decadent, thick almost obnoxious....but so damn good. Longevity is super & projection is unapologetic.

It’s been a year now that I have been using this and there is a dense solid base to this vanilla powerhouse. Altogether it’s an erotic offering...I don’t know any other perfume that has this kind of a vibe. Needs to be tested a few times, but definitely polarizing.

No flowers what so ever in here and the dusty feel is a vanillic one, not powdery....

This should have been named Sensual Orchid Oud. It's the sweet, syrupy, fruity elements of Sensual Orchid with a heavy dose of oud. If you smell the two fragrances side-by-side this one makes Sensual Orchid seem light and summer and, in turn, Sensual Orchid makes this one seem extremely heavy on the smoky wood. This fragrance is thick, sweet and smoky. I love it!

seekritdude

Ive never tried sensual orchid which I guess this smells similar to. So saying that I cant think of anything that this smells like fragrance wise that ive smelled before. Theres something.. sorta...off about it, I guess its the fruity element but something smells strange to me when I smell this. Maybe it will come to me the more I wear my sample will see...

It smells good though, a bit feminine for me but I dont mind smelling it. Maybe better on a woman.

So ya thats my deep review, smells good, but theres some off about it to me when I smell it that makes me not love it, cant put my finger on it.

Cloying vanilla ice cream, the kind of ice cream that is full of cream and butter! too much for my taste!

Edit (1st Sept 2016) It does develop kind of different on my skin, and changes through time but the sticky buttery vanilla ice remains strong & the dark effect of agarwood (french style oud) cast it's effect on the overall smell (that's later than 30 minutes). After all i think the vanilla ice cream is overpowered in this fragrance and i'm sure if it wasn't on this doses i would have been much better.
