A fresh, zingy oud + rose with a beautiful saffron presence.

The discourse between the softly spiced, floral saffron and the juicy rose is the true heart of this fragrance. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the fruity aspect of the rose. It's fresh and tart, I'm not sure what fruit note gives the rose this quality, but it smells lovely. The base has amber, sandalwood, and clean musks, the oud note becomes more noticeable with time, but it is rather quiet. I'm grateful it is not as harsh or strong as the synthetic oud notes tend to be. It is a more artificial smelling oud, metallic and on the medicinal side, but to my nose it's tolerable as it is so smoothly blended. The incredible saffron and bright rose make up for the oud, haha.

I'm pleasantly surprised, it's stunning for the low price. I normally struggle with middle eastern blends but this one is easy and hits above its price. If you are sensitized to oud notes as I am, this one is a great entry level option. Not the most unique oud fragrance ever made, but it's great quality, the saffron and rose are beautiful here. The flacon is absolutely stunning, one of my favorites. I love keeping it on my perfume tray.

Not as dense as many ouds on the market but it is long lasting and quite unisex as many have noted. For those wondering if it has been pulled: Rasasi still has this listed on their website.

Rose water with a lot of very smooth saffron and a woody/ambery musky backbone. Very smooth, yet great performing. Doesn’t smell synthetic or cheap at all. Honestly smells like something you’d find in Guerlain’s Orient collection.

Very likeable and not challenging at all. Smells really elegant. Something you would wear on a spiritual day like Friday (for Muslims) or when you feel relaxed at home. There’s barely any oud in here if at all. It’s mostly the clean musky amber in the base. Not sweet, just elegant. I love it.

This is a unisex fragrance. Oriental easy to wear and inoffensive. I finished my first bottle and on second one now. Gives you middle eastern vibes. It’s not loud or have heavy sillage like other middle eastern fragrances but this one is good for its scent and price.

DaniloRod

Spicy rose with an amber base, a bit citric on top. Very dry. Some nuances of synthetic oud in the background, medicinal type. It's hard to explain but even though it has a light character overall, it has a good amount of depth too because of musk (black musk maybe?). Performance is great. I really like this one, because is what I was looking for, especially for summers.

I'd say it's not impressive at all, however I haven't smelled anything like it and that gives it to positive points.

Good looking bottle, but very light and cheap, however at this price point, it's a good deal.

PS: I read somewhere Khaltat al Khasa has been discontinued. I hope it's not.

twoski

A very clean and fresh scent resting on an inoffensive oud base. The rose is really subtle but noticeable. Not jammy.

Honestly not getting much spice here. The composition has a lot of depth from the saffron and oud but i don't get any peppery/clove-y/cinnamon-y notes from the spices. To my nose this gives a primarily fresh vibe, not floral or woody or spicy.

Doesn't seem as loud as other oud fragrances i own.

I wouldn't call many oud fragrances tame enough for daily wear, but this one is strikingly mild and inoffensive. Unisex.

The note breakdown for this fragrance is misleading so beware. If you want a louder rose/oud combo there are better choices.

Most regal scent you can find at this price point. Versatile, wearable, majestic, light. Subtly blended rose, oud, sandalwood mix of spices and freshness, sharp and slightly syrupy, by no means screechy or harsh rose. Truly underrated perfume from Rasasi. It's getting hard to find, but if you're on a budget and really are getting into what the rose-oud magic is all about in fragrances, this is surely a great gateway. Longevity isn't all-out beastmode, and that's a blessing in disguise in a way (otherwise it'd completely be in Montale-esque territory), it delicately projects the true facets of the fragrance, has alot of character. 8/10

ScentedPlaza

This is a lighter version of 'Aoud Lime' by Montale and 'Soir D'Orient' by Sisley. For a bargain price, it's light and fresh, beautiful citrus, oriental, a hint of damp rose, saffron and musk. I appreciate that it's dense, but not too sharp or metallic. I gifted away my Montale's Aoud Lime bottle (my lucky dad!) and kept this instead. Very wearable, great day scent, especially for summer. Unisex.

MrAbbas

A lighter, more wearable version of Mancera Aoud Line. Being a middle eastern person, this is a scent I smelled a lot before. I agree with the spiritual/meditative descriptions used in previous reviews for one simple reason: This scent is used a lot in mosques by the religious men/sheikhs. It has a mass appeal and surely a nice scent. Nothing that makes me go gogo gaga over it but it is very nice rose/oud scent. Performance sucks to be honest but for the price.. mmm. I got the 50 ml for 16 euros (A steallllllll) and the presentation is very high end. Its ok.. gives me an Arabian feel here in Europe.

Wow amazing ..
Dry down smells like killian - rose Oud to me

This fragrance smells almost exactly like rose water for the first few minutes. I smelt this side by side with a bottle of rose water from Lebanon, and it was identical. Then after a while the saffron notes come out and it changes. I would say this leans feminine and is more appropriate for women. Definitely good performance and safe as a blind buy for women, but for guys- try it out first!

Traces of soft spice and rose begin this journey, transforming into a beautiful deep oud with a sandy muskiness laying low. On my skin, the rose note is always prominent. Longevity on this is KIND of insane; I could spray it on my robe and still get a whiff of it by snuggling my face into it two days later... although it's a beautiful thing to me for the smell in this bottle is intoxicating. Being an extreme compliment grabber as well, even though I try to smell good for myself, still pushes this fragrance to the favourite in my collection so far! all in all, a gorgeous oriental scent from rasasi.

Noha8

One of the best saffron perfumes I have tried yet. Saffron here is the main beautiful yummy player with a playful girly Rose, on a background of soft oud and amber. The spices here are skipping on the top.
Despite being a sweet perfume; but I think it could be used in summer. It's a signature scent. Also, I think it could be layered with darker and heavier perfumes to be more attractive and mysterious.
The only point here is that the perfume is starting with alcoholic whiff that disappears within seconds. I think it's not a matter with such amount of beauty.
The siliage and longevity are very good.

Just received it today, in a beautiful box from Rasasi (carried by IntenseOUD USA).

It is fresher than I had expected, and is complex and elegant.

So far I've enjoyed it. Will write more as I experience it in the next few days :)

Update: have had this beauty for a few days. Really enjoying it.
As Noha said above, it has a BEATIFUL AND FRESH rose/oud dry down. The top note of saffron keeps it unique and mysterious. I compare it to Atelier's Rose Anonyme and this one is WAY better and fresher despite a much lower price. Well done Rasasi!

And yes I do get a bit of the clean sexy vibe similar to Channel #5 as well.

I use it as a casual everyday perfume, for work out, errands, and for a simple cardigan at work. Love it :)

Top: Cinnamyl alcohol, citronellol
Mid/base: Geraniol, White musk, Amber

basically, amber, musk, spicy, rose, powder.

Beautiful. Like a Clean Floral rose oud, Similar to a rose oud incense musk smell

PerfumedParrot

I was lured by the rose, but now, on the hottest day of the year, realised it’s way too much for this heat. It’s intense, busy, traditionally Middle Eastern and heavy. I feel like I’m drinking a strong cocktail in the midday sun, when a simple water would have been a better option.
If you love the expensive oud fragrances of Amouage and other high end brands, then save yourself a load of cash and go for this. A big impact, hard-hitter, rose/oud combo.

This is a fantastic cheapie. £22 for 50ml and its stunning. This smells almost exactly like some bakhoor I bought a few years ago in the hotel lobby of Atlantis in Dubai. Its my favourite holiday destination and I usually always stay at the Atlantis. So this reminds me of walking through the lobby and smelling the beautiful bakhoor. Really glad i blind bought this one, rasasi is just such a fantastic all round house for fragrances.
Performance was 7 hours so good enough for me and sillage moderate. Very happy with this one 👍🏻

Vostok308

Received yesterday and only worn last night and so far today.
In addition to other reviews I can say that it's very similar to Al Haramain Nasmah. Not the same but close.
The Rasasi without doubt has more warmth, depth and sweetness. It also dries down with a tadge more musk. Generally an interesting and intriguing fragrance that I don't yet quite know what to do with.

msajoy

Gorgeous, modern and spiritual ...these 3 terms come to my mind when i think of this fragrance....beautiful modernized, everyday wearable oud that also has spicy saffron and amber with it, i highly recommend this to everyone ...get a sample and enjoy the beauty...very spiritual stuff which you can get at great prices instead of spending few hundred on niche houses
10/10 for the smell and value

fmvolume

Basically the fragrance that Tom Ford duped and called it Cafe Rose and charged a fortune

andrewj

Too feminine and not enough oud for me. Gave it to my girlfriend and she likes it. In fact, it's become her favorite scent.

The notes in this fragrance combine to make a jumbled mess, to my nose. I can't detect separate notes in this scent, unlike other scents I prefer. I think it is because of the spices that overwhelm the rose and oud notes.

I thought that perhaps the drydown would reveal different aspects, but it behaves quite linearly on my skin. The development I had hoped for never eventuated (I was hoping for more oud and fewer spices).

Nice bottle and packaging, and affordable price.

UPDATE: I've noticed that I enjoy smelling it on her a lot more than I liked smelling it on myself. There have been a couple of occasions when I've noticed that something smelled really nice, then found out she was wearing this perfume. So yeah, I guess it's recommended by me.

I like this fragrance, and growing week by week on my, in my person this juice is a rose and a oud bomb, and is a complements getter, by the ladies and men to, that's very cool when some one you don't know ask you what are you wearing? its smells very good!, I receive my share of complements when I wear it...

A lovely fragrance!

When I first spray it on my skin I can detect the bergamot and oud. The bergamot is bright, fresh and brief. I smell the oud a little bit then as it intensifies, it is lovely, noticeable, resinous and woody. The oud will eventually mix with sweet rose accord in the heart backed by some saffron and warmed through by soft amber, there is soft dusting of spice surrounding all of the notes. I personally think the treatment of oud is elegant and easy to wear. The harshness of the oud is softened by the rose and sandalwood.
This fragrance is alcohol based with great sillage and amazing longevity I can smell a little bit in the morning with my nose to wrist. I think it is completely unisex and perfect for those who love Arabian perfumes!

MANY COMPLIMENTS
_______________________________________________________

I wore this today to work and receives a lot of compliments. I have to admit, that I usually receive compliments for the fragrances I wear, but today there were especially many compliments and so I decided to write a review.

Khaltat-al-Khasa starts (at least, on me) with an explosive oud, which lasts around one or two hours. Afterwards it cools down and is replaced by surprisingly good combination of saffron-rose- bergamot. the saffron-rose twist lasts the entire day.

Longetivity: - 10/10
Sillage: - 8/10

All in all: 7 out of 10 points

shavenonthedarkside

The start of this composition is akin to Al Haramain Excellent. Slightly sweet rose like. However, it quickly goes in a different direction. This is more of a spicy saffron rose scent with a mild oud in the background.

It starts perfume like, but it turns very unisex within 10 mins. It turns spicy with the sandalwood balancing the oud from becoming skanky. For the record, this is not a skanky oud, so no worries.

It projects good the first 2 hrs. then it turns to a very noticeable skin scent. It's been 5 hrs. since I applied it, and I still smell it well. Performance is average to above average.

This can be worn anytime except high heat. I would wear it during warm evenings/nights. Nice anytime scent. Excellent for date unisex scent.

4/5 stars

UPDATE: I do not know what was wrong with my nose before, but this thing lasted for over 12 hours when I wore this again. This fragrance has beast mode longevity. Also, this fragrance has a "jammy" rose not too, so please be aware of that. Everything else I said remains true.

illatvadasz

I agree with stefano.lacchin. This is a high quality, well built masterpiece from Rasasi. Absolutly unisex in my opinion. Highly recommended for rose, saffron and oudh lovers.

sheraaz1000

Brilliant perfume, oud is prominent in this one, unlike western perfumes where the oud fades away and overpowered by rose. Suits both men and women. Every now and then you get this whiff of the perfume reminding you of what your wearing whereas with other Perfumes your nose gets accustomed to the scent. Definitely worth adding to your collection.

Arshad baloch

This is a good perfume and i tell u that no difference between oudh abiyad and khaltat al khasa. Opening note are same between them and both of them are smells same after 5 minutes.

stefano.lacchin

I fell in love with this fragrance instantly and I never looked back. Sensual, strong and exotic but not overpowering. It's very long-lasting and adapts smoothly to a very difficult skin like mine, without changing its nature.

badri

underrated fragrance ,,

nice mix between oud and rose without being overpowering ,,

inexpensive
