Stella Eau de Toilette by Stella McCartney is a Floral fragrance for women. Stella Eau de Toilette was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Cavallier. Top notes are Iced Lemon, Freesia and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Bulgarian Rose, Peony and Violet Leaf; base note is Amber.

Fashion designer Stella McCartney re-launched her first fragrance, Stella from 2003, in 2014. Stella, a modern scent of roses, remained unchanged, while the look of the bottle and the box were redesigned. In April 2015, its new version comes out— Stella Eau de Toilette.

“The story of STELLA fragrances unfolds around a strong feminine motif of the rose – looking at this flower in a new way to celebrate the modern woman. STELLA Eau de Toilette is about a natural confidence that is also youthful and radiant,” says Stella McCartney.

Stella Eau de Toilette is a fresh and sparkling scent of garden rose. It contains the same notes of amber and rose as the original, but includes additional accords of frozen lemon, mandarin, freesia, peony and violet leaf. It opens with fresh mandarin and frozen lemon, balanced with watery tones of freesia to create a soft, dewy feeling. The floral heart of Bulgarian rose essence with crunchy violet leaves and delicate peony petals, brings a freshness to the fragranc, while amber gris base notes reveal a masculine undertone.

Available in a light pink textured bottle shaped as the original in quantities of 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

I am surprised no one till now mentioned Rose Extase by Nina Ricci - they have similar vibe. They are both jam like roses - somehow sweet but not in a gourmand way. If it makes any sense...
This is like amore summer version of Rose Extase. Light, airy and fresh rose - I don't think you can go wrong with it (if you are into rose perfumes - if not - well, that is prolly not your thing). Kind of girly but does not feel infantile. Great for everyday way. I fully agree - this is uber feminine smell!
Minus from me for the lack of longevity - it does better on clothes, but on my skin it's gone in 1-2h.

Willing to swap my 1.7oz (sealed) or 3.4oz backup (high partial) for any of the unicorns on my "want" shelf. CONUS.

Stella edt, gorgeous, light, lemony rose, beautiful, beautiful, I have several backup bottles, safely in cool/dark storage & hoard the one I have open like Gollum in Lord of the Rings, My precious! (& only maximum 2 sprays whenever I wear her!) because it's completely discontinued; I bought the last few bottles I could find, from Selfridges & they weren't cheap - but I adore this, because it's so pretty & nothing compares - the delicate rose, & whisp of ambre basenotes + the very light citrus is the most lovely. Yes, the lasting power isn't the best but the rose is so perfect (& any predominantly citrus/rose won't last 4 hours without being a skin scent) but my partner tells me they can still smell this long after I think it's faded; this is in my top 5 perfumes - subtle, v pretty & a long time love. Selfridges was the only place that had this even in (July 2022) & like all the Stellas from 2018 they have no cellophane - like Laura Mercier et al, I only know because one of my fellow Fragranticans advised me - & I have to say, I keep seeing other brands doing this (I only order from.the same few Department Stores or direct from Chanel, or Burberry etc) but if you're trying to find this on buying sites, anything with extensive wrapping or even plastic/cellophane could be dodgy, the Stella's all went Vegan & no plastic (& Stella McCartney herself makes "none leather bags, & is leading the fight against no packaging - although she herself has been Vegan since the 90s, it has definitely caught on.) I also ordered Laura Mercier Eau Gourmandes Vanille - & there it was, no cellophane! I contacted John Lewis, because I was a bit worried but they told me this is a growing thing in fragrance, various brands are doing so - yet I also bought Chopard Cashmir, at the same time, which has more than niche level packaging - a box within a box & goodness knows what else + plastic central, somebody tell Chopard, bc this is mixed messages (but the Environment is very important.)

Treasure your Stella's though everybody - maybe one day they will make more (like Chanel Cristalle EDT, which we thought was gone forever!) but all of these are so rare now & I hoard my bottle (& my backup bottles in storage) because I'm very fond of her & we have history.

I love absolutely everything Stella. Everything, so I had to have a bottle of the EDT. I figured, even if I didn't love the juice, she's still going to have a place in my Stella flanker collection. Well, I ended up loving the juice. Stella EDT is the EDP's lighter, flirtier younger sister. The Stella DNA that we all know and love is 100% there, just more toned down and with a bit of a lemon-y twist. This is very similar to the Stella EDP, original formula on me. The fresh, alcohol-y top note fades away pretty quickly to reveal the heart of the fragrance, which is a slightly sweet, somewhat distant yet warm at the same time rose & peony scent, along with that distinct amber base. I can totally see myself wearing this regularly during the spring and summertime.

Jessk

Uber feminine. This literally smells like a soft, fluffy, creamy light pink cloud. I do get a little bit of the lemony freshness but overall it’s just soft pink to me. Not quite as grown-up as I’d like, it does lean to the girlier side of things, but not so bad, and definitely wearable as an adult if you want to lean in to some fluffy pink innocence and embrace how you felt in your young 20s.

It doesn’t last long, though. Couldn’t smell it on my skin at the end of the work day, though I could smell it a little on my clothes when I sniffed hard. Definitely not beast mode but that’s probably not the point of an EDT, so I’m not gonna be mad at it for that.

pepperysaurus

I treasure and ration and hoard the rollerball of the original Stella EDP that I purchased in 2006 or 2007 (I still kick myself for not buying a full bottle at that time). Every year or two I would spend some time fantasizing about splurging on a full bottle. Recently, I accepted that bottles will never get cheaper or easier to find, so I finally bit the bullet and purchased this EDT. It is indeed reminiscent of the OG, but.. Yup, it's a fresher, lighter version due to the lemon and almost non-existent amber.

Maybe I'm just sad, or I've idolized the OG too much in my mind, but sometimes I think this EDT could almost be any other spa-like rose fragrance/skin care (which, in itself, is *not* bad). Welp. At least the bottle is cute, and I can finally say that I "have a bottle of Stella." Next thing for me to do is get an impression version from Universal Perfumes or Generic Perfumes.

demhayerawsah

Happy, bright and a little bit flirty. I agree with a reviewer below who described it as "sparkling rose lemonade". I know that the citrus isn't for everyone, but I do love it. I find that it makes the EDF far more wearable than the original and better suited to warmer weather. It's a soft fragrance and not cloying - which I find rare in rose fragrances.

If you can get your hands on any Stella perfumes, buy it as I believe they're all now discontinued. If you don't like it, it will make a great gift!

GDati

Nope. I've worn Stella by Stella McCartney EDP since it came out and I was heartbroken to hear it was discontinued. I bought this hoping it would be similar but the amber is barely there and the lemon is screaming CK One. On me, it smells like lemon dish soap. Pass. I'll keep searching for something else since any remaining bottles of the classic are going for $200-$500 online.

Anamandy

I have the edp and even though I love it, I don't reach for it outside of winter because it's a little too jammy and heavy on the amber for me. In this version the amber is toned way down, which makes it perfect for warm weather wear. It still smells like Stella, but it's not as heavy or oppressive in the heat. It's brighter and has a citrus fizzy quality from the citrus, freesia, and violet leaf which really compliments and freshens up the Bulgarian rose.
At the time I purchased this it was winter, and I thought it was too light, but it really pops in the heat and surrounds me with beautiful, soft silage that lasts until I wash it off. It's bright, cheerful, and just plain pretty. If you want to wear a rose scent that isn't too much on warm days this is a nice one to try. I also found Paul Smith's Rose, Kardashian's Fleur Fatale, and Annick Goutel's Ce Soir Ou Jamais edt perfect for warm weather wear, though different rose varieties are used. But just like the different roses in my garden, I love them all.

rubydoll

I am now nearly finishing this bottle, all the listed notes the citrus, the rose, the amber are all present. Now I'm taking into consideration my age, and hormones, temperature outside and what I eat whilst wearing this one.

Nothing has really changed, the fresh lemon and rose which appears is not strong and would not annoy the rose haters approaching me.
It's not old fashioned but I think any age would like this.

However for me personally the longevity is so so short, whether that due to osmosis or an aging nose, ( and to be fair I suffered from hay fever and colds a LOT when young which is possibly why with well mixed perfumes I can just smell on some singular notes and others not), which makes me a little sad, as its a favourite rose alongside Jeanne Lanvin one on its last dregs, and neither lasts.

But it's a perfume I crave, as its a little sweet. I think when I finish, I'll keep the bottle and make a decision then.
In general I think you can blind buy this one. As I think it'll easily gifted if it doesn't suit you.

sim-star

Funny story. I blind bought Oscar Dela Renta Bella Rosa, Cacharel Amor Amor, and this one all at once. Lol. I was preparing for fresh summer scents with some nostalgia and boy I'm confused. I love them all. They all smell similar but different. I can't explain it. My husband can't make out the difference. Bella Rosa is much different than this but the Amor Amor? I love them all nonetheless.

This one is light, she is flowy, she is dancing in a rose garden sipping pink lemonade. And she dusted herself with powder before dressing herself in a light pink summer dress.

Chanel.Amalia

Very very similar to Chloe but this is more lemon and not so cold scent and little bit more sweet. The sillage its identical but i have both and can see difference. So great fragrance fresh, elegant and very calm.9/10

cookygirl

Very successful blind buy.
I snagged this for almost nothing with the expectation of giving it away if i didn't like it.
Well, I'm loving it, and I'm keeping it.
This one is really nicely balanced.with the just the right doses of rose and citrus.
I like that it's not at all sweet or musky.
It has a sort of austere transparency that,is very refreshing.
That said, this evening I put on a sweater that I had worn the other day that still retained traces of Versace's Eros EDT which is quite sweet in a fruity way and musky, and the combination was amazing.

ETA - Wearing this for the first time in warm weather and it's even better. Much better, in fact. I smell the amber now and it really rounds out the scent so nicely. And the rose has taken on a peppery facet that didn't come out in the winter. So satisfying to wear this one now.

SniffingAddict

Sparkling rose lemonade. Fresh and light.

When I’m looking for something more substantial, I layer it with Hanae Mori. Then, it’s this gorgeous, delicious rose, custard pastry. Sooooo good.

opining.olfaction

It's a YES for me!
All I get here is lemon, peony, and powder from the violet. This is a delicate, sweet, and girly, SOFT scent that lasts over 5hrs on me. I get whiffs as I move about, makes me think of lemonade infused w/ peony petals.

Forbiddenjade

Ancestor of A La Rose by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. No joke, try to believe - I did a double test on my pillow ;) Lovely and fresh rose-y concoction, decent sillage and projection.

Worth if at bargain price, summer perfect.

clemmy

Lighter version of the perfume. Delicate fresh flowery scent of cut roses. Weak sillage and persistence. Safe blind buy, but if you love powerful fragrances this is not for you. It is generic and forgettable, but very pleasant. Not worth full bottle unless you find at cheap price.(I prefer Trussardi Delicate Rose) 2/5

FiligreeAngel

Fizzy lemon sorbet in a rose garden.

Love it.

Why do I always have fewer words for the fragrances I adore? I think perhaps there is no reason to detect which note might be the cause of it not being quite right. Anyway. I digress.

Love it.

I purchased this perfume in an attempt to re-carry a Bath and Body Works scent by the name of Rose Water and Ivy. (Which word on the street is, has been ruthlessly discontinued by cooperate America.) Amongst its reviews on this site, were strong scent connections with Stella by several perfume connoisseurs. And here begins my version of Stella's profile. It has taken me a few days to even begin to attempt a review, and I think there are a couple reasons for this. The main one being the severity this perfume presents itself as on paper. On this medium, it is acidic, more like stomach acid than citrus, and has a strange connection to dime store rose bouquets in the form of room sprays and body powders. I was downright concerned, having just spent $40 on the disappointment, and further fear upon wearing it. But, alas, I summoned the courage, and what a reward that was! On the skin, the opening is luscious, lemon sunshine kissing a spring garden! Further development reveals peony and a petite tea rose aroma - the peony plays gently with the a fore mentioned rose in a way which makes the rose...well, rosier. Its light and optimistic, and oh so bright! And as the sun sets on our quaint little garden corner, and we are left to linger in the twilight of the dry down, the airiest violet emerges, and amber takes lead as the sunset. Light is low, but the ground is still warm from the incandescence of the day. It is truly delightful in its simplicity. Unfortunately, longevity performs very much like the Bath and Body Works body spray, which makes justifying the cost very difficult. She's a fleeting beauty, but oh so pretty!

Artio

This fragrance is very fresh and pretty with a burst of lemon and rose but unfortunately, it doesn't last long on me so I'm always having to reapply during the day.

Albiretu

This is a beautiful lemony rose. It's not too sweet, and not too citrusy. It's very well-balanced and lasts quite a long time on me. A love at first sniff, even though it's exactly what I expected it to be; it didn't surprise me, but it comforts me. I have a beautiful 30 ml bottle, and I love how cute and simple it is.

Sebaht

This is a beautiful perfume, long lasting as well.

Rose112

A lighter, more suited for spring version of the EDP. I absolutely love this one and prefer it over all of the other Stellas. Notes of rose mixed with lemon and overall freshness makes this perfume wonderful when it’s warmer out. It’s also not heavy at all, so spray away!

Sillage is low to moderate. Initially it’s quite good, but its reach definitely fades within the first hour. Longevity could be better, but it isn’t horrible. I’d say I usually get around 4-6 hours before reapplying. When I apply this perfume, I’ve found around 8 sprays does the trick. A few on the neck and chest, wrists and then some in my hair. If I really want people to smell me I’ll do a few in the air and walk through as well.

I’d give this one a try if you’re into fresh fragrances. It’s affordable and unique! The bottle is also fabulous :)

animalia

An ambery bruised rose, with dark undertones. On drydown it becomes more innocent and softer.

barcandiana

It smells not only like rose flowers but like rose leafs and branches too. A little peppery note.

floralscents88

On me, first blast is fresh, citrusy and quite strong. once that has settled and softened, the florals make their presence known, and i mean really stand out. not the old worldly type of floral though(thank goodness). don't get me wrong, its a beautiful scent, just needs a light hand to appreciate its beauty, IMO, because it can get overwhelming for some when oversprayed. but for me who loves florals, i can tolerate the initial spray of citrus bomb. for me, its a winner.

NessS

Started off as a sparkly fresh floral with rose but then in the dry down there is a note that smells like tea leaves which I personally don’t like on me.

muncierobson

While the current EDP is hardy a power scent, this is indeed a lighter and fresher ‘Spring’ version of Stella’s modern rose.

Instead of a grand and velvety rose, here the blooms are smaller - pink and yellow roses growing over a trellis in a country garden. The lemon is cooling and refreshing, there is warmth from the amber but the powder of the EDP has gone.

Lasts moderately with soft projection, would suit office and formal wear... a lovely spring wedding scent!

Packaging made from recycled/sustainable sources and the bottle is beautiful!

This fragrance is suitable for vegans (contains no animal products or their derivatives) and is cruelty free (well done Stella for avoiding unnecessary testing by choosing not to sell any of her fragrances in China).

Keep up the good work Stella!!! X

sibaraa

A very sweet peony, rosy scent with a dominant amber base. A nice spicy floral if you like sweet scents. Does remind me a lot of oscar de la renta rose in the dark pink bottle with the flower looking cap.

kbot

People often comment about the original Stella vs. reformulation debate, but I swear -- the EDP and EDT are both borderline too much for me if I apply with too heavy a hand. In the right amounts, however, it's the perfect rose. This one has the added freshness of the lemon to brighten it up, making it perfect for summer, outdoor weddings, etc. Sometimes it does get a little too sweet, but again, that may be an issue related to over-spraying.

Cajou

OMG, this is beautiful! I was aware of the fame Stella has among the rose lovers, but I haven't found it available in any shop where I live. Then today I was at the city to buy other stuff and wasn't even going to check out perfume. A strong rain started falling and where was I? In front of a perfume shop. I "had" to enter to wait for the rain to stop and started just for fun to check out perfumes I've never tried before, when suddenly I turn to the side and there it is: Stella McCartney, hidden in the corner of the lowest shelf, in the back of the shop, for half of the price! I tested both EDP and EDT:

EDP: Rose jam. I get some "red berries", but very subtle, it is definitely not fruity. I get also a patchouli vibe, but I don't believe there is any patchouli in it, otherwise I would hate it. If there is, it's hidden to my nose. It's a modern rose, has a grown up style. Nothing like vintage roses (which can also be nice, but it's not Stella). Surprisingly, the EDT has more longevity it on my skin than the EDP.

EDT: At first I liked it more than the EDP, and the reason is: freesia. I just love this note! Unfortunately it fades very quickly, and the dry down is much sweeter than the EDP, IMO. Also, the EDT had violet leaf, which makes it slightly powdery, but not so much.

Two adorable scents! I might have bought them both...

waiting-for-wings

This review is based on my 50ml bottle

I love love love this stuff. Stella is such a warm and gentle rose. It's the perfect comfort scent for me.
I brought this one planning on using it in spring/summer but it performs quite well in the cold too. You get a lot more of the Amber in the cold and more of the rose in the warmth so its quite versatile. On paper you can smell a little citrus which brightens it up, however it never came though on my skin.

dglightblue

Nice but doesn't last, but this is a winter try so perhaps it's that mixed with this being EDT.

Lovely scent, much like the EDP, but the EDT blooms then goes greeny fresh. Nice wafts in the car while driving, perhaps some on your clothing will help.

I wouldn't buy this unless cheap price, here in NZ it's expensive for what you get.
Pleasant innofensive easy to wear

Mooniq

A true spring/summer-scent. Fresh Piony, rosy, musky scent. Flirty, a bit girly and happy scent. On my skin it stays about 4-5 hours and sillage is moderat.

En sann vår/sommar-doft. Fräscha Pioner, rosor och musk-mix. Flirtig, lite tjejig glad doft. På min hud känner jag den ungefär 4-5 timmar. utstrålningen är medel och trevlig.

Violettera

Too lemon-y. Lemon, after a while a lemon-y hint of flowers and that's all. Poor performance also. And not so office-friendly as others say. I cannot imagine an office where people like to smell lemons like crazy.

artemis16

I have to join the others who lament the loss of the original Stella. I remember it as an opulent, complex and exceptionally attractive rose. Despite the reviews, I thought I'd get it once more although it was a blind buy because I'd missed it. What I was able to find is the eau de toilette and it rather disappointed. On my skin, it is a medium-intensity sour rose that is fleeting. I used it more as an air freshener than on myself and it did leave a pleasant impression. I like the fresh roses of Body Tender, Paul Smith Rose or Roses de Chloe but I miss the rich, addictive rose perfection that Stella used to be.

sepheme

I must be smelling a different fragrance, I think to myself as I read these reviews. I love rose, more than any other note, and especially with a well-tempered amber. So why does this smell like bleach wipes on me?

My bias is that so many new scents have this flavor to me, this impossible freshness, but maybe that is what people like. Glad it works on so many others.

My verdict? High hopes, but I'd rather not smell as if I've been scrubbing the floor all day.

toothdoc7007

love this fragrance. on me, there is a sweet, fresh floral with amber peeking through. great perfume for winter days when i need a spring feeling.

Arlene-Beatrix

It's teasing and quite spicy even if no spicy notes are listed. Looking at the bottle, I've expected something very different.
Not for me.

alyxdavidson

On me this is a skin scent that lasts several hours. For the composition, I think it's a decent wear time. The thing that I find most important is that this really has two distinct phases on me. The first is the opening rose phase. It's a sharp, synthetic smelling rose that begins to fade into a sweet, fruity middle. I get several hours of this stage before it slowly fades into the wood and amber. Although this perfume is famed for being a rose scent, the middle notes are my favorite.

Right now I have a sample of this and I'm probably going to use a Sephora voucher to get a rollerball of this scent.

Mich03

I love this fabulous rose. It stays the same on me,from the initial spray to dry down. No changes at all. And I love that it is a rose perfume that smells exactly like rose. Not one of the ingredients that's mixed with a load of others and leaves you thinking- but I thought this was supposed to be a rose perfume. Absolutely pure rose!
I far prefer this edt to the original edp. On me the edp starts out nice( but even then it's not true rose) then softens to ordinary. And there are plenty of ordinary fumes out there!
The edt lasts a long time on me. I regularly get wafts of it through out the day.
Not for the first time I have found an edt than is better than the edp!

ScarlettX

This is a good Stella, not like the EDP version, that I didn't like that well.
I actually enjoy peony and rose in it and something reminds me of popcorn.
Sweet, but well-balanced.
It smells like good things and good times.

polkadot27

On first spritz this bored me to tears, however the dry down is wonderful and unique. This really lingers and has a pleasant dewy after scent. The main notes for me are sweet rose, peony, freesia and lemon. I agree with other reviewers below that it has a creaminess about it. I don't really detect amber in this which I am happy about because I don't think it would go nicely. This fragrance for me is girly but has a sort of alternative feel to it. It smells like bubble bath to me sometimes. I like it- I have never smelled anything quite like it. It smells a little vinyl to me on drydown. I must say however I have only tested this on card not my skin, so at this stage I would not buy it- as I have found the ones I love on card usually go awful or are neutral with my skin chemistry. However so far, so good. I hope to test it on my skin soon and do an update.

I went into Sephora to buy Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet. The sales associate suggested this Stella EDT after I explained to her that I'm getting headaches from strong perfume lately and that I needed something on the light side. I hadn't even considered this perfume because I usually don't like flankers. But after comparing them side by side, one on each arm, I much preferred the Stella EDT to the Blooming Bouquet. This smelled cleaner, cooler. More crisp, more fresh.

I bought the travel spray and I liked it so much that I went back yesterday and bought the full size. It is a lighter, citrusy-er (at first until drydown), version of Stella. It has not given me a headache yet *knock on wood*. I like the icy rose aspect to it. It's hard to explain but I smell a pleasant coolness (that my Roses de Chloe and my Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose for example do not have.)

I am really enjoying it and glad to have it. I've been wearing a lot of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea lately because I need something light, but that one can smell unisex. This however embodies femininity to me. The price point is much better than the Dior Blooming Bouquet so I don't feel guilty wearing it everyday. I got a 3.4 oz. for $87 at Sephora. And it lasts way longer than the Blooming Bouquet sample I have. I can get 6 hours+ easy on my shirt. Even at 8 hours it's still there if I put my nose right to it. And the bottle is precious to boot. I highly recommend giving it a chance.

Gigi The Fashionista

Stella EDT is a lighter version of the original Stella fragrance. It reminds me somewhat of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet which has the same ingredients of citrus rose and peony. This is very soft but yet lasts much longer than Blooming Bouquet and feels very good on my skin. Citrus starts the fragrance before it turns flowery with roses peonies and violet. The dry down is a clean amber. It smells really good for an eau de toilette and has an elegance and sweetness very suitable for a girl in her early 20's. This is for those of us who can't wear Blooming Bouquet because it lasts for like what 30 minutes. This lasts all day and has the same sort of vibe. Delicate feminine classy. Love it.

bella_91

An underestimated yet beautiful EDT fragrance!

I am in my early 20s and recently have been exploring unique floral scents. I have been on the hunt in finding a rosey scent that doesn't smell simply like roses dipped in powder or scents for the more mature age spectrum.

I really like the potential in Stella McCartney's Stella EDP (purple bottle) BUT find its intensity TOO much - especially for my age group. I therefore LOVE this EDT (light pink bottle) as it's a more subtle version of the EDP.

My only concern was it's sillage and longevity standards. So.. I finally went to a store and sprayed the EDT on my skin today to test it. One spray on my left hand. It's been over 4.5 hours later, (having spent a few hours outside in the cold and a few hours inside in the warmth) and I'm STILL getting whiffs: of a luxurious bouquet of creamy rose petals on a wooden bed. Due to it being more subtle, it smells more creamier than the EDP (which I find too sharp and just pure rose, leaving a frown on my face).

I am REALLY impressed with both the sillage and longevity of this EDT - especially having eaten and washed my hands with hand gel several times and STILL getting the creamy rose with slight woodyness coming through!

Others have reviewed this fragrance suitable for the spring/summer. I am currently testing this in Mid-January, where it's been extremely colder than previous years in the UK and I'm still getting a great level of smell from this fragrance.

I bought the 50ml EDT gift set and can't wait to use it as potentially my new signature fragrance - as it's a distinctive rose scent that's subtle enough to be noticed, with lasting power. Plus, the body lotion is said to increase the sillage (for those who still think that a watered down version is hopeless).

My conclusion is that I think expensive and well-known branded Eau De Toilette's are quite good in terms of lasting power. They might be more subtle than an EDP but it still lasts the same amount of time, (on both skin and clothes) in my opinion. Do test it before shunning away from it. There's no harm in giving it a chance!

evansmummy

I asked my husband to get me Stella for Christmas pointing out the purple bottle.
Needless to say he bought me the edt and I'm really disappointed. It's the same fragrance but the longevity is non exsistant. I'll go through this bottle in no time and eventually will get the edp I was after.

Miffy8900

I mainly get old rose and lemon. But in the best way posible! It is fresh and dewey and a bit green. Very Stella :) Personally I love sweet gourmand and oriental fragrances so this is not my initial pick, but I really like it. I think the rose has a dusty, musty feeling to it - in a chic vintage kinda way . In humid weather it sometimes turns into a old cosmetic kinda smell. Like the very perfumed old Estée Lauder lip sticks .

The bottle is so cute ! The best Stella so far IMO . Great add as well .

kellykar

I'm a person who tends to like rose scents so it's no surprise that I like this one! I can definitely smell the rose and the lemon. I would say that this perfume is a light fresh rose scent. I can smell similarities between this and L`Eau d`Issey Florale mostly because of the rose. But L`Eau d`Issey Florale is musky and sensual while Stella Eau de Toilette is fresh and clean.

Helena_He

suitable for young lady, lightly sweet but still attractive.

The Swedish girl

Smells exactly like the edp.

Very green and patchouli-ish.

No sweetness at all. Harsh.

Adorable scent for easy days, youthful, yet lady-like, fresh, not cloyingly sweet. For me it`s an uncomplicated, but sophisticated perfume - I would use for every day in daytime. Lasts up to 4 hours on my skin. Definitely recommend.

A light, slightly green and very understated rose. Starts with a faint fresh and somewhat cool citrus note, but warms up eventually. Great for summer, stays soft and fresh in the heat. Such a polite scent would work well for everything from daily chores and work, to job interviews and funerals. It's very inoffensive and safe, but not boring. A pleasant skin scent with moderate longevity. Not a favourite of mine, but nice enough. (I have a feeling that this scent might grow on me though.) It's a great go to scent when all your other scents is to strong, dark, spicy, weird or sexy.

Can still smell it on my clothes and on my hair the next morning. It is definitely Stella. They tweaked it and softened it a bit but after the top note the real Stella comes through. A wonderful balanced, soft yet "strong" perfume. Just gives this beauty time guys it reveals itself slowly. Simply divine.

Stella EDT starts off with lemon for a few seconds, then freesia, orange, and floral peony and rose. It smells mostly like orange and an altered rose. I love this scent, especially since it as my favorite base and other notes.

Well, I don't know what perfume some of you are reviewing.
But to me this is a delight. A strong lemon? Honey, spray some Limon de Cordoza or Ferragamo Free Time and you'll see what a strong lemon is.
No, this is a beautiful composition, that (yes) opens with lemon but is quickly joined by rose, and a wonderful combination of both notes create a summery allegory. It's happy yet delicate.
The violet leaf is perceptible but (thankfully) it stay in the background.
The amber appears later in a shy way. The florals are delightful, the rose and later the peony are incredible.
I'm a guy, but I would definitely buy this perfume just for the sake of smelling it from time to time!

in full agreement with grey dove.
and to top that...my wrist came out in painful hives each time i tested it!...the only perfume in my life to ever do that. what have they put in it?!
i can't actually smell the roses in this for the overpowering synthetic fruity citrus (Stella EDT combo of notes on my skin...means all i can smell is honeydew melon!)...and no roses, until they appear (all sour/stale on me), in the dry down.
will stick to Stella rose absolute...as this EDT and Stella original EDP (cream box, pre-2014) sadly both turn sour/stale roses with my chemistry.
but on the right person, i am sure this will be a nice, light, sweet, fresh alternative to Stella EDP, for someone who is dabbling in the rose.

Beautiful lighter version of Stella with a hint of more citrus and jam! Wonderfully orchestrated and sooo fresh!

No. A sharp spike of sour lemon goes up my nose and into my brain, followed by a sour rose. The two sour accords are violent and mean spirited in nature. Reminds me of a group of mean girls sitting around looking obnoxious and trash talking everyone around them. Unfortunately it also reminds of Marc Jacobs Daisy with that awful artificial lemon accord that makes me want to run away whenever I smell it in the street. Hopefully, not many will be wearing this because Daisy is already too prevalent in my city..The original Stella, however, is lovely and the reason is the balance between the sour, old fashioned rose, and the rich, warm amber. This one has no balance. Its shrill, cold, artificial, and "modern" in the worst possible way.

The notes are just like like Stella Nude.

Will be interesting to see if it smells any different as there are already MANY lighter versions of Stella out there -

There were "Sheer Stella" editions released year after year, pretty much like what Vicktor & Rolf are doing with Flowerbomb la vie en Rose now.

I hope this isnt just more of the same marketing strategies to real in buyers.
