Romantic Prince Harry has refused to sign a prenup before his wedding to Meghan Markle, insisting his marriage will last.

The Prince, who will wed 36-year-old Meghan on May 19, was thought to have been prompted to sign an agreement with his fiance to ring fence his whopping £30million pound fortune.

Insiders are thought to have cited her first marriage to American film producer Trevor Engelson which lasted just under two years. But the insistent 33-year-old Prince bashed away the claims, telling pals his marriage will not end in divorce.

"There was never any question in Harry’s mind that he would sign a prenup," his friend told the Daily Mail , "He’s determined that his marriage will be a lasting one, so there’s no need for him to sign anything."

Columnist Sophia Money-Coutts had reported there were "whispers" that a prenup was being drawn up.

"Both Harry and Meghan have assets to protect. Given divorce rates, it’s worth couples having a frank discussion about what each is bringing to the party before signing that marriage register," she wrote.

But it appears that any paperwork has been torn up and the couple are going the romantic, prenup free, route. Although they are not legally enforceable in the UK, prenups are considered during divorce cases.

Loaded Harry, who was handed £10 million of the inheritance from mum Princess Diana when he turned 30, is following in the footsteps of brother Prince William whose marriage to Kate is prenup free.

Princess Diana, who did not have a now fashionable prenup with Charles before their divorce, reportedly had to fight for a £17 million settlement from Prince Charles in 1996, as well as £400,000 per year.

A Kensignton Palace spokeswoman said they would not comment on this issue.
