  Тhis serie is senseless
also Nurgul is the wrong person for her character.She looks old & wrinkled & a sloppy

In my humble opinion you are mixing apples and oranges here. Nurgul is not the right choice for Yas´character for several reasons :

Absence of chemistry between Murat and Nurgul, which is an essencial element so the love story in a dizi can be believable , convincing ,and flows naturally so that the audience would feel that love as real.

Attractiveness and beauty can not be compressed in few words, they are as broad as subjective as a concept. Nurgul´s so called attractiveness is an opinion, not a fact. But according to general standars, and referring to Nurgul as an actress who performs a specific character , I would say that in terms of :

Physical and personality attractiveness : Nurgul projects an aggressive halo to start with, she doesn´t have a friendly face , if you will , and the make up and wardrobe worsen her look. She is incompatible with Murat whose features are soft and warm. The age factor here is not the heart of the issue , since there are actresses who are in their midthirties and yet look better than her because they´ve got soft traits. Ex :Özge Özberk . Moreover, she lacks charisma , presence and charm , elements that make an actor/ess and his character more likeable and appealing to the viewer. Not to mention , a body language lacking femininity.

Result : Murat and Nurgul don´t match on the screen as a couple , and I would like to emphasize the word screen here.

Performance : Nurgul plays a character which has to combine , on one hand, the dynamism and toughness of a modern working woman in the competitive business of advertising. On the other hand, she has to show vulnerability , fragility , tenderness , love and all the feelings that make a human being a human and not a robot or a zombie.

This is soooooooo freaking boring , these writers don´t want to wake up and show some intelligence there , I mean , this is what I call conventional writing, just want to satisfy a blind audience.


I am trying here to understand how the writers’ brains operate? So far, for me, the meaning of love is really being underestimated by the writers. How can we know we are in love especially when we are in our thirties like Savas case? What is the meaning of love? How can you be in love in a second, bypassing the attraction, the chemistry, the knowing each other, & the understanding & respect stages? Maybe this is a new meaning of love which should be added to the dictionary!!!
Nurgul fails to deliver all these emotions in her scenes, she´s not in her role and so she fails in connecting neither with her character nor with Murat, let alone with the viewer! All she does is standing there and deliver her lines emotionless. The huge catastrophe is when you see her next Murat playing Cinderella with that rigidity of hers. Simply outrageous !
Some people may justify her performance as being part of her character, or because writers created an unlikeable character, to my mind , it is more about an actress who couldn´t care less about her job !

Evidences speak by themselves, so lets talk facts rather than opinions now :
Murat and Nurgul don´t match , fact.
Nurgul´s performance is pathethic , fact.
Nurgul as a whole package don´t fit neither in the character nor beside Murat , fact.

When you watch Murat performing ,you watch professionalism and talent at its best.
When you watch Nurgul performing , you watch the antithesis of a good performance.

As you can see, it is not about the age factor at all , it is not about elder people´s right to fell in love with young ones and vice versa,and certainly it is not about love knowing no boundaries. It is about professionalism and wise choices in the world of  dizi making.

Having said that , everybody is free to think whatever they please, and certainly to watch and to like whatever they please under the prism they please.

Ral : I love Endam´s character too , she is a sensible girl. I like the actress as well.
