I have just had this problem with my Beko dishwasher. Mine was running the pump constantly, I tried the tipping method which did reset a switch, and the machine would start to work properly then go back to just pumping again.
I tipped the machine up(lots of water came out) and took the bottom cover off which has a float and a switch in it. This switch stops the water flowing so not to flood your room when there is a leak within the machine. Now I had a good look around for split pipes etc and found that there was a pipe that had popped off completely, I put the pipe back on with a new clip and now it’s as good as new!
Same problem . It was the bottom cover which has a float and a switch on it with two tubes .
The polystyrene foam float was stuck with dust and the dishwasher went into flood mode pump running all the time.
Good clean all working now.
Hi Tony Howlett :)
I had the same problem and when i tipped the dishwasher, some water did come out... Then once i closed the door, it started as normal until the rinse mode i suppose...
Opening the thing at the bottom i can see that : see photo
Looks like there is still a bit of water left...
Do you know what i can do to fix it or too complicated ?
Thanks :)
Aude

I can confirm Solution #2.
This usually happens whe you have a blockage in the waste pipe. For some reason, once you've cleared the blockage, the dishwasher doesn't detect that water has now passed through the system, even if you send through more water via filling the base (I did this about 4 times totalling 24litres of water and it still didn't reset).
Tilt the dishwasher back (I only had to tilt it about 30 degrees), this resets whatever switch it is that turns the pump off and allows it to fill with water.

Hi there ....this condition is ususally caused by a water leak into the sump of the dishwasher which activates a safety switch to run the drain pump..preventing the appliance from being used....Remedy...tip the dishwasher back in the head allowing excess water to exit from the sump...then with the door open check that the air vent lock ring is secure, thet the salt unit retaining ring is secure..and finally that the filter unit to base screws are secure...this done re-start and you should b fine

Could be a kinked hose, diverter solenoid is jammed or burnt out. If the dishes are clean and the pump is working...then look at the above. If the spray isn't happening, the pump could be a problem. They are usually direct drive and you'll note that the motor isn't working.

it sounds like you are going into flood mode. tip the unit 45 degrees to the side and see if you are getting loads of water pouring out. if so you have a leak and need to check components in the base.
