I absolutely love it! It gives a strong woman vibe

Classiclover84

It took me a while to appreciate the understated sexiness of Euphoria. It has the early 2000s overt sweetness which is the Berry at the top, then it dries down to a skin like scent with the Violet and spices. Definitely more of a night time or winter fragance. I'd say its a clean/casual aesthetic rocking a Little Black outfit on a night out pulling out their glamorous yang to their clean yin.

Mandilynne

I’ve worn this for years it’s a very dark sensual spicy clean scent to me. I get a ton Of compliments when I wear this it does smell very different on different people.

malake

My mother's perfume, I love it and can recognize it anywhere

coleanthony29

Reminds me of the Greek Goddess Persephone, the Queen of the underworld. A very dark and alluring smell. A little fruity and floral with some woodsy notes. Love it! I feel like it can be unisex though it is slightly feminine leaning.

averap

smells like a powdery leather.

imacat88

To me, feels like someone sprayed a piece of shinny metal with amber and floral scent, cold yet not very cold as the amber kinda embraces the metal feeling.
i love it!

stella.cherie

I hope I'm writing this review on the right page since I have a mini that says EDP on the bottom label, in a clear bottle with pale pink juice. I'm pretty underwhelmed as there's nothing special about it. It's sweet, feminine (maybe pass as unisex), sits quite close to the skin, with longevity of about 4 hours. That's it. That's my review. I literally have nothing more to say about this.

Nostalgic Tart Pomegranate with Sugar-Crystal Texture & Evoked Patchouli...

This doesn't get a lot of love in the reviews, but it was groundbreaking when it came out and won a FiFi award for Fragrance Of The Year Women's Luxe 2006. I remember being mesmerized with it when it came out, and smelling it now it really takes me back to that time period, although it's a lot more tart than I remembered. I could imagine Angelina Jolie wearing this in the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which came out the same year. It has those same qualities as the film of being sweet, tart & frozen in time. The film was also sensational when it came out, due to the introduction of Brangelina.

Opens with a tart & fruity pomegranate with a sugar-crystal texture, purple/violet tones & green accents, but already the orchid, mahogany and what smells like patchouli are swelling through. Other reviewers have also mentioned smelling patchouli here (although it isn't listed), being built by green notes in combination with mahogany to give a deep, dark-green patchouli vibe with licorice-y facets. As it's drying down, the tartness settles a bit, and I get a faint whipped cream note. Overall, I get a tart, sugar-crystal textured, sour-purple/pomegranate scent with licorice-y wood/patchouli underneath. Performance is well above average for year round wear, although the tartness may verge on too tart in warmer weather. Those who enjoy tart purple/violet & patchouli scents with strong performance might like this. Enjoy!

Luilind

A friend gifted me this many years ago. Unfortunately I could never wear it, the smell is so strange. I get some dark spices, maybe liqurice or fennel. It’s not feminine, neither masculine. It’s just weird and unpleasant.

IVamp

I really wanted to like this and I gave it many tries. I love it on other women and I expected it to give me the same sexy, sophisticated, confident vibe, but it just doesn't work on me. It's way too sharp and masculine in the beginning, later it turns much sweeter and then I start enjoying it, but it doesn't last very long. The dry-down is, again, sharp and chemical. Definitely try before purchasing.

JKanyce

The fact that I actually smell the violet in here ruins it for me. Fragrances with violet ALWAYS remind me of hotel lotion. If they somehow removed the violet, it'd be (even more) boring, but I'd wear (not buy) it.

Edit: I actually wore this around the house today and my God it is headache inducing. I did not realize how strong this was. It's a Woody floral with a soft spice. But again, something about it reminds me of those watered down highly fragranced lotions from the 90s. It's headache inducing.

Gabriella.0

It's a beautiful acent but way too strong, heavy and mature for me. It's some late 30s and over. But the scent is nicelt blended, a deep floral scent that's not boring thanks to the woody notes

smelling.sniffing.swan

Hmmm this is a bit difficult to be impartial on because I have so much nostalgia attached to it.

It's heavily sweet. Way too sweet.
The florals, particularly the violet can be quite cloying and the base is slightly nauseating.

It's really missing something a bit more savoury or bitter to balance it out. It's very un-fresh.

With that being said, it is quite sensual and attractive. I always think of that slightly glamorous feeling of being in a bustling airport when I smell this for some reason.

VERDICT:
A wonderful trip down memory lane. I wouldn't wear it anymore.
Still a 'like' simply out of respect to my teenage self, and my somewhat dubious perfume taste back in the day.

Dollycat

Nice one😁. I'm into my second bottle but honestly i 'm a bit done with this perfume. I will finish but not purchase again. But projection and longtivity are moderate in comparison with early editions. Sadly that's the case with all perfumes with every new reformulation the juice becomes weaker and weaker. My beloved l'eau d'icey, dep red, ultraviolet, contradiction are on my off list just because of their weak projection and longtivity with todays formula. But overall this is a slightly sweet, woody and sexy office scent but still unique.

marigoldmarigold

wowww it has an attitude...memorable, subtly intense, a cloud of fresh bitter mahogany that just lingers with you and suddenly everything around you seems to follow the misty vibe. euphoria really makes me feel confident. like a siren. or an edgy maneater party girl...not for everyone surely!! could defo wear this to a nightclub or a formal event. bold. futuristic. magnetic.

bambieu

This fragrance has a trail of nostalgia, presumably due to it being a popular 2010s fragrance. I don't love the initial spray, as it's far too masculine for my taste but I like the way it lingers when it has dried down into its woody, patchouli base. This is a more complex fragrance, meaning you can't layer it as easily without completely overshadowing its essence. I think it's very nice for fall time, but overall it is more masculine and I wouldn't recommend it to those looking for a girly fragrance. This reminds me of a businesswoman at a bar after a long day.

evavidal62

This is a review for the first edition release in the bottle that looks exactly as in this Fragrantica page. I first smelled this scent on a magazine scent strip. I remember I was enchanted because all I could really smell was the fruity accords - pomegranate and something that smelled like red berries. It was soft subtle but sweet. It's different on a piece of paper and it didn't really get into a dry down. Also smelled violet. So I went to the Macy's store to check if they had it and they did! The sales lady sprayed some on my wrist because I already smelled it on paper. On my wrist it was different. The violet popped out and some other vague florals, orchid and something 'pink' and light (lotus?). Then I continued to let it wear on my skin and it became woody. It's definitely a light wood and amber dry down. This is actually quite a simple fragrance. But it was making a statement. It's sexy and mature but not old lady; more like late 20s and into 30s a confident woman who wears sexy cocktail dresses and make up. She is very feminine. It goes with high heels and a sexy low cut dress. This is a scent of temptation and feminine sexual power. If I smelled this on my man like if it rubbed off on him from another woman I would totally lose it and immediately send him out of my life! The woman that wears this fragrance well can have any man she wants. The initial note is again the fruity notes of pomegranate and persimmon. They are deep and juicy, exotic, and with that orchid even more exotic. The florals blend in with the fruit and they are fresh and soft florals that shy away and do not come off as too floral or strong. But definitely orchid and lotus. Instead of being tropical it comes off as more a dark woodsy floral scent. The note of mahogany eventually settles on you as the dry down begins. By then it is warmer and becoming woodsy plus the amber. Then there is a touch of dark warm musk. This is a soft leather musk. Because of this it's warmth is suited to colder months like winter time but also fall and at night time. These dry down notes are what keep this fragrance from becoming too girly girl or too much like a Victoria Secret perfume. But in a way this is still like a more full bodied VS perfume. The dry down is bold and makes me want to just go out and get what I want. This scent is evocative of the night. It asks you to put on a hot sexy outfit and go out at night, for a dinner or night club dancing. It's seductive to your own nose and others. My boyfriend loves this on me and he will always associate it with me and only me.

i left a comment before it came in the other day, so i am back for an actual review.

like i had anticipated, it took me back to my mother wearing it in the 2000s. i currently am very stuffy and can’t breathe very well, but i can smell it perfectly. i can only imagine how it smells with my nose cleared!

i was just sitting in bed while have been wearing it, and my boyfriend said “it smells good in here” from across the room, so it has a very good silage. apparently it filled the room!

it smells like a dark hair women in pretty black dress, drinking a fancy cocktail. it’s definitely more mature, but i’m only 21 and i feel amazing wearing it. i see it being something for special occasions/nights out/dinners and such, but it could also been worn daily imo. i might come back when i can fully breathe, bc i have a feelings it’s even stronger than i can sense rn lol.

jadepo21

This opens far too masculine for my personal tastes. I like the dry down a bit more but it feels a little weak and more generic by then.

EuniceMine

One of the best fragrances out there but the bottle just irritates me, so bulky and just oddly shaped. But the scent is worth the trouble, is very earthy and kinda sour to me but I love it . I just wish it lasted longer for the price

avaphelps

this is my “pre-review”
i just ordered euphoria on fragrancenet (which i highly recommend for amazing deals on designer fragrances), bc it’s what my mom wore. she passed away in 2008, and as soon as i saw the bottle, i recognized it. i needed it instantly!
i don’t quite remember what it smells like, but i know i’ll recognize it as soon as i smell it. i can’t wait to smell like my beautiful momma, i miss her so much.
i will come back and review when it comes in, i am so so so excited! it also has the purple box and details on the bottle, which was my moms color, as her birthstone was amethyst. it has so many good reviews as well, so i’m even more excited for it.
i mostly got it so i could be reminded of her scent, but even better if it smells amazing and becomes a scent i want to wear.

i love you so much momma, thank you for visiting me in my dream last night.

ivywine72

i will admit this scent is a bit cloying at first spray, like kind of sickeningly floral. but after a minute or two of letting it sit it becomes one of my all time favorite night out perfumes. it's a really sexy combination of powdery, sweet, florals and dark, smoky, wood notes. the fruity notes everyone describes don't really show through with my skin chemistry but that makes the scent feel more unique than it seemed on the tester.

Fainkfrag147

My mom gave me an almost full bottle of this one. She said it was just ok but she didn't love it on her. I tried it and we both agree it smelled so good on me. I usually don't do well with woody perfumes and I wouldn't personally have chosen this one for myself but this one is the exception. I can definitely really smell the pomegranates and the violets on me. A surprise find and definitely a keeper!

meganlamode

Very strong, intense, rich fragrance. For me, this makes it a dislike - I usually love a fruity floral, but the deep woods in here overpower all. Like a commenter below also said, I would have thought patchouli was included because of a sharpness I sense, but it isn’t listed in the note breakdown. I could see Euphoria being a cold-weather night out fragrance for someone, but that someone isn’t me.

dandyhoratio

Not as fruity or floral as one might expect, more woody (at least on my skin), but still has a clean and light sweetness. Perhaps not something I would have picked out for myself, but an appreciated gift and I think an easy blind buy or gift for a young lady just starting out in the perfume world, or for anyone who can appreciate the lighter and sweeter things in life.

spinnerett

Fruity, ambery, powdery goodness. I don't get the green notes and the florals don't stand out as much (other then the violet) as the persimmon and pomegranate, but my god this smells so good. Its projection/sillage is pretty good, and its such an attractive scent that's garnered to get compliments.

demi1504

Ah, my 'go-to' companion since my teenage years, and here I am at 34, still reaching for it on those special nights out. I affectionately refer to it as my 'f**k me perfume'—forgive the bluntness, but there's something about it that just works like magic! It's a potent blend that exudes sensuality and strength. The lasting power is incredible, and its sillage is top-notch. But fair warning, if you're sensitive to strong fragrances, this might not be your cup of tea. It's definitely not a blind buy; its intensity is not for the faint-hearted. There's an undeniable allure, a strong and seductive quality that accompanies every spritz. It's bold, it's lasting, and it's become an integral part of my nighttime allure.

indiglo

When I first got this some years ago it unexpectedly evoked Christmas for me! I see someone else here mentions this too, though for me I don't have a prior memory that obviously explains it. It's not like we had pomegranates or persimmons at holiday time in my family.
I didn't always get this association on subsequent wearings, and haven't worn it a whole lot, but thought of it and trying it again today during the pre-Christmas season I'm getting some of that again! Win!
--------------------
I definitely get the fruit and I guess the wood. I would have thought patchouli but apparently I'm mistaken.

gkitty

First two times wearing it i got complimented saying how nice it smelled. It must mix with my body chemistry very well!

madecel

I find this really intense at first but it dulls down into a nice woody frgrance.

ambervxyjul

A classic that smells so good. Many designer fragrances don’t impress me, but I really like the OG euphoria. It’s fresh enough for the daytime but also deep enough for night time. Its very likable imo. Smells very nostalgic to me, I’m pretty sure all the moms had this as their signature in the late 2000’s.

KristenKras

I don't like the first sniff of this, it's alcoholic, boozy to me and not pleasant. However, it settles into a lovely scent but smells a lot like Obsession to my nose. Probably don't need both.

JesScent

This was my signature scent for years and years, nobody else was wearing it back when I was. Men & women would chase me down to ask me what I was wearing bc Euphoria mixed so well with my body chemistry & it was absolutely Lovely on me, intoxicating even. I truly LOVED the OG Euphoria.....

Sadly, as with all my favorite perfumes over the years, it’s been reformulated into something nowhere near the beautiful sensual beast this used to be back in the day...

I literally would do anything for a bottle of the OG Calvin Kline Euphoria....

Don’t waste your time or money trying to purchase the current knock-off version of the one, the only, Euphoria. The reformulated version is an insult to perfume wearers everywhere :(

heartsparks

I guess I am my mother's daughter because this was her signature when I was growing up. That may also contribute to my bias when I say this is absolutely amazing.

First spray/opening can be daunting, but after it settles into amazingly alluring deep and beautiful sweet floral woody goodness.

For a while I have been desperate for a frag that satiates both my sweet tooth and my love of depth and richness - without leaning too hard into either one. This fits the bill for me, and I feel like a femme fatale wearing it. Chef's kiss

HippyDippy57

I have two bottles of Endless Euphoria, which I really like; it's inoffensive, can be worn at work and doesn't project too much. I tried Euphoria some time ago and hated it; too heavy and too much - decided to give it a wide berth. Today, whilst walking around shopping, found Euphoria and some other perfumes on Black Friday promotion, and picked up the Euphoria bottle and sprayed it, and initially it was overpowering and harsh; however, within 20 minutes it had mellowed and I actually like it - not enough to buy it, but it's perfectly acceptable, and certainly has longevity and sillage as I can still smell it some four hours after initially applying it.

erika.isme.98

I asked a lady what she was wearing because her scent was iconic and powerful... She said the original formulation of Euphoria! Might need to test this soon.

alatchka

Does anyone remember Sonia Kashuk's line of fragrances sold at Target? I liked them all...but I LOVED PURPLE SEDUCTIA!!! Like all of the one hit wonders that come through Target Sonia Kashuk's fragrances, lotions and shower gels got clearances out...not because they weren't any good, but I guess old Sonia decided to get out of the frag biz. I bought up ever bottle of fragrances, lotions and body washes as I could find on major clearance...we're talking $2 or less each! Purple Seductia was scarce, as my guess is that it was the most popular of the line. After years of using my two bottles, sparingly, I came to the bitter end. My husband is due back from military deployment and No Purple Seductia...what shall I do??? It's his favorite on me!!! Well, 9 times out of 10 Fragrantica comes to my rescue. How, you may ask? A few Fragranticans suggested Calvin Klein's Euphoria as a great dupe. So I took the leap and took the plunge....AND THEY WERE RIGHT!!!! CKE is the perfect dupe for SK PS. I found my long lost love and now my other love will be a happy camper when he comes home soon!!!

Boba2908

Even though it is such an old fragrance, to this day it remains my most complimented fragrance from both men and women. The sillage is beast mode and not to mention how amazing the price is and the value you receive! It is perfect for the day and evening, for university or the club, for dinner or lunch... its an amazing daily perfume. I have not smelt any perfume like it since I bought it a while back. The violet, orchard, cream and amber go so well together to make the most sexy, spicy, yummy and intoxicating scent ! It lasts for up to 7-8 hours and smells amazing from the initial spray to the dry down.

Zana1970

Missing it..I will buy it again, oldy but a goodie. ..for me it has everything, longevity, projection, sillage, not to sweet, a beast that I always can trust, wherever, whenever...!
It is only the bottle I don't like, I like simple plain bottles...but hey if I would go only for the bottle, I would not have many gorgeus perfumes, like Aura from Mugler, I also don,t like the bottle, etc....!

mekanazekana

I think it is really heavy. Definitely for colder days, and for night. On my skin its too woody, that's why I think it's not for me. Don't get me wrong, it is a good perfume, but rather for those who like strong scents. It last whole day, but most of that day you smell on wood. Euphoria Blossom is better to me, since it is lighter.

Cycys

On my skin euphoria is a jammy pomegranate scent with a solid woody base that backs it up and weirdly i get whiffs of Oud.
Am not mad at it tho , this is a seriously underestimated scent , it is not your typical girly designer perfume. I can see a mature sexy woman wearing this.

Sillage: 10/10
Longevity: a good 8 hours on my skin

Overall if you heavy woody jammy scents are your thing give this one a chance

bel.gravia

Solid woody fruity flowery goodness. I really like Euphoria, it is well blended and balanced. I can smell the pomegranate, the orchid and the woods.

lenomducauchemar

2010's something batch smells so suitable for fall / winter. i dont give a thing if someone wears this even in the peak of summer but thats on how much i love this and less of an objective measurement of how it cooperates with hot weather. very serious and no nonsense, gorgeously feminine scent. woody everything smells just right, she's an ENTJ with plans for her life, rocking business professional attire.

Sassafras23

Dear @giri-boni, it is beautiful but not a chypre at all.

giri-boni

Beautiful chypre❤️

Tsmarcondes

I was waiting for the cool weather to wear this one. I bought the coffret with the big bottle, the smaller one and the body cream. Using the body cream and the perfume would made this guy a BAD ASS BEAST, because he already his beast mode, on longevity and sillage. I love the smell, is woody and sweet, with a "boosyness", or a smokiness that evokes a sensuality on your skin. Not very suitable for work but 100% on point for night outs and dates.

Funny thing is: while I was spraying today, it reminded me of a perfume I had from I Boticário: Glamour Exubérance, a flanker with a brown bottle of the Glamour family. I wore it in college (2014 ish) for the nights out and it's definitely a resemblance.

fragrancenovice

I'm basing this review on a decant from Surrender To Chance. The vial didn't say, but I'm pretty sure I ordered the EDP.

I waited for cool weather where I live to test this. I like it! It's a strong fragrance; I can still smell it on my dry, perfume eating skin 12 hours after application. On me, it started out as floral and spicy, and over time, it's turned more woody. It reminds me of Obsession (not surprising as that's also a CK fragrance) and Angel, but it's not as spicy as those are on me. I really didn't get the fruity top notes; I have no idea why. I guess that's just my body chemistry.

To me, this is definitely a cool/cold weather fragrance. (However, that's my taste. Wear it in hot weather if you want!) And it would make a good "date night" fragrance. I do think it can be worn during the day if sprayed with restraint.

Do I recommend it? Yes, if you like strong, floral, spicy, woody scents. I'd say it's not a safe blind buy or a safe gift unless you're sure the recipient likes this type of fragrance.

With respect to office wear...Idk. I'd say, if you work with anyone you know has trouble with fragrance, don't wear this to work. And if you take mass transit, or sit close to anyone at work, I'd restrict this to 1 spray. And don't wear it on a plane! Please.

Will I buy a full bottle? Probably not, partly because we only have cold weather for about 5 months where I live. I might buy a travel spray or miniature size when I use up some other fragrances I have.

krhyslop

Just purchased this blind after looking at the notes as they were similar to another perfume I love (Dolce & Gabbana, The Only One) Initially Euphoria smelt slightly masculine but after 10 minutes it warms up and becomes more sensual and I really like it. Perfect for more of an evening fragrance which is exactly what I wanted it for. Honestly, an 8.5/10

margarita19george

Just got this one! I blind buy 100ml, which is not the most practical decision in general, but I am in love. Great fragrance! By the way, my sister is not into it, she is keen on D&G Imperatrice.

stew1889

I love this! It's the scent I wear more than anything currently and for the past few years. My female friends and coworkers have complimented me on it. I have to mention that my best friend loves this on me so she got herself a bottle and hated it on her so test it out but also give it time to settle on you first before judging it I don't know if she did and also to note she loves sweeter perfumes than this. This perfume comes out a bit strong in my opinion but I can't stand perfumes that don't give me a scent projection anyways or are too basic or bland.

Goldena35

This is a good perfume. I think it’s blended very well and if you like it …it is an easy reach. I would say this is best for cooler temps but I could rock it on a warm (not hot) day too. For me it lasts incredibly long on skin and clothing and has a fairly powerful scent bubble. The floral notes I pick up are the orchid and violet with the juicy pomegranate in addition to unlisted plum, blackberries and currant (but that could be because my overall vibe of this is a deep purple). The warm amber and wood round it out. It does have a certain creaminess so maybe that is the whipped cream effect … very affordable and happy to have stumbled upon a FB.

qianqian

Hard to tell any single scent apart but overall it smell like the old wood Pai Gow set that my late grandma used to play. They smelled great.

Minoshka Noella Dsouza

Ok so this has been a long time coming. Back in 2005 itself my moms friend came home and i was about 13 yrs old at the time. Anyway a gust of what felt like the most heavenly intoxicating fragrance hit me and i was quickly mesmerised as though in a sudden trance. The exact feeling is when drinking and the first buzz hits except this was with an aroma. I was very reserved and quiet and not very talkative at the time but almost possessed at the time i blurted out " Can you please tell me what is this beautiful fragrance your wearing?". She seemed happy it was recognised and said " Euphoria by Calvin Klein" happy that it was validated i guess. I never before was into perfume as my only exposure to perfume was my moms signature scent "Dior - Poision" which i disliked as it smelt like snake and rice water. A strange combination which made me uneasy . So i decided to register the name , promising to buy myself euphoria as i couldnt get enough of this heavenly scent. Years later when i started working i forgot the promise i made to myself and instead opted for Coco Chanel, No.5, and Knowing by Estee lauder as my Signature scents. I realised i loved perfumes and expanded my collection to some more classics like Givenchy Amariage, Ck escape, TM Alien, Alien Absolue, and my most favourite Ysl Manifesto Elixir. But i never did buy Euphoria thinking that it wasnt as great when i got round to smelling the others. Until i decided to re sniff and get off my high horse and give Ck perfumes a revisit. I fell in love again. Ck Euphoria started the perfume love affair and i finally bought her and im glad i did. Sorry for the long intro but getting to the point, what does she smell like?
Well , the opening is disgusting which i previously never knew but let 10 mins pass and there she is, plummy, orchid, ambery, peppery, woody creaminess. The fruity mess at the start which to my nose smells like a blast of blackberry and some fruit concoction thankfully dissipates to reveal this old intoxicating love potion. Also side note. For anyone saying it has pachouli in it i can verify that it does not. As i have an allergy to pachouli as it dries up my nostrils and triggers my sinuses immediately like sniffing a dusty bookshelf. I do agree that it does have a slight earthiness but that is because of the violet and the woodiness mixing to create a seeming earthiness. If it did have pachouli i could not be able to wear it. Thankfully it dosent. So for those sensitive to pachouli dont worry about this one containing pachouli , it does not. However some of euphoria flankers do contain pachouli apparently. One cheapie that does smell like this is imari pure seducdion from avon but it has way more dark fruit and PACHOULI. it closes up my nostrils and i cant do it but for those who can stand the stanky dusty dry pachouli smell this is a good cheapie . Its not nearly as good but its very purple smelling and earthy. Also side note this teacher was 40 something and it seemed to suit her perfectly so to my nose it works better on more mature people and less of a juvenile scent. However i see that those who discovered it early and wore it as teens have different memories associated with this one and find it suited for younger girls. To me it would work on anyone in their mid 20s all the way to maturity. Its powerful, yet soft and grounded and very magnetic. Thank you euphoria for making me fall in love with perfume and begin this journey.

I never owned Euphoria but I remember it well. A friend wore it at school, and I think my mom received it as a gift once - it is a noughties time capsule. I remember it as being a very strong, syrupy floriental but it has certainly been reformulated. I remember my friend marvelling at how it lingered for days on her school jumper. This version could never. Here, the ghost of the original is present, but it is much weaker, and behaves more like an aquatic floral-fruity with a synthetic amber base.

Euphoria opens with aquatic fruity notes - not my favourite thing at the best of times. Synthetically sweet and wan, the opening fails to impress me.

It improves as the floral heart develops, but it is all more subtle and aquatic than I remember. There is a slight green undertone, adding freshness. I can't discern individual notes here - just generic, watery florals.

As it begins to dry down, a synthetic woody-amber accord emerges, subtle yet grey, weighing down the floral-fruitiness somewhat. It is like the base of many modern designer scents, an accord I associate with masculines - Sauvage-like, I guess. It is inoffensive enough however to not ruin the scent, mediocre as it is. It is a feminine-leaning, transeasonal scent with moderate sillage and longevity - or at least this iteration is.

A shadow of its former self, Euphoria is a disappointment to revisit. I would like to smell the original again. Apathy rather than Euphoria. 2/5.

scent.2go

It was a great scent years ago. I have lots of great memories with this scent but my last bottle is horrible. Very spicy, leans masculine, not much fruits...wtf. This is not scent I remember.

WhiteFlowerPrincess

I don't dislike Euphoria but I don't like Euphoria either... it's not "euphoric" to me, so to speak.

It opens up with a not exactly unpleasant but slightly strange and green tinged sweet and sour, spicy and leathery smell from both the pomegranate and persimmon and green accords. It just doesn't smell exactly pretty or feminine to me (borderline masculine really) and it is a highly uncoventional smell.

I really liked the feminine heart notes though and I found the sweet vanilla smell from the orchid, the airy aquatic nuances from the lotus and the headiness from the champaca delightful and it really reminds me of the tropics, like being in Singapore in the summer!

But the base notes really weren't my favorite though. The dark woodiness from the mahogany and the resinous and deep smell from the amber drowned out the smell of the violet and the whipped cream and was quite masculine and not sweet too, which I didn't like.

Euphoria lasted 14 hours on me and it had strong projection, which is great for the amount you spend on this fragrance. It was a bit too strong for me though. It could only be worn during fall or winter at night I think because of how strong it is.

Altogether, I'd give this fragrance a very average 5/10.

SweetEnigmaticSoul

I loooooveeee euphoria so much!! The little babies in my daughter’s preschool class would always tell me I smelled so good while wearing this!!! I’ve purchased many bottles of this within 15 years!!! An awesome & unique scent! ❤️

LadyT33

A seamlessly blended, extremely sexy, woody perfume. Lush. Addictive. The scent lasts forever. I do not find it masculine, but if you’re a man and want to wear it, go for it!!

Milla91

This makes me want to throw up. The most disgusting, generic , cloying scent ever.

sue165

it's 2023 & I keep buying Euphoria edp :) I really love it,
Sometimes in hot Summer days I layer it with Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche :)

Kamenova Karolina

Makes me feel nostalgic.
It's not the typical feminine scent and yet it's layered, interesting and really euphoric.
I love it.💜

los blancos

Euphoria is unique and delicate. For me, it’s more floral than woody with some fruity notes. I think it qualifies as a signature scent. It’s definitely a classic for, maybe a bit of fashion for now. I’m not too sure about the bottle shape and cap though.

rosa silvestre

Very unique, magical forest vibes, and soooo strong that I can't stand to wear it. It lasts forever and projects like crazy. The notes are beautifully blended and the final product truly is something. I think this is an incredible perfume, just not for me. It is nauseatingly strong.

InaLyle

I am surprised at how it dries down!
At first spritz, it smells generic. A citrusy floral generic scent. Then after a few minutes it just HITS you how good this perfume’s formulation is!
It smells very expensive. A citrusy floral and slightly woody, powdery note is what I get on my skin.
It can be worn both day and night time.
However, it might be too strong to wear at office. You could still wear it at office but you’ll have to spray it on your clothing and not skin and also just one spritz will be enough because it can be a bit strong if you spray more than once.
It’s great! I love it!

LouieEtCamille

I always test this when I see it in store. I find the sweet, woody dry-down addictive and comforting. It doesn't suit my preferences (due to the plum facets) but can appreciate it on others. Smells like a confidence you can trust. I can picture a cool, grounded person wearing this.

prenka89

A great option for everyday office wear. Has the right amount of intensity. Not overpowering but confident and bold

perfume_angel

I will begin by saying that this may not be for everybody. You have to like loud and bold fragrances to appreciate this one.

At first spray, I got an overwhelmingly strong woody and fresh scent. It smells like zesty pomegranate, strong warm florals, and very deep mahogany woods. I am also surprised that this has no patchouli because it gives off an earthy vibe too. Once this settles and dries down, it becomes softer and sweeter. But the overall vibe is still very bold. 🪵🌿🌺

I think this smells unisex and leans slightly masculine. It’s not usually my type of scent, but I reach for it every once in a while.

Cannelline

Estée Lauder's Sensuous Noir is my absolute favourite fragrance ever, I love it so much and am so sad it's discontinued (a crime!!!). I have been looking for a replacement and just got this and I definitely think it has the same vibe. Dark, sultry, sensuous, addictive.

Edit: I see many have said it's dated, referring to high school, college etc. As I've not worn this before I don't agree, to me it's new and fresh/untainted and not associated with an earlier more "immature" period in life.

Edit 2: Worn it two days now and I'm obsessed 🥰 it's just so addictive and lovely.

Writing about Euphoria Eau de Parfum brings me an air of great nostalgia, as I remember that this fragrance had a great impact on me and on the women I was around at the time. My bottle has been with me for at least nine years, and it was intact until now when I received the new Eau de Toilette version (2023). I don't know why I hadn't posted the review yet, but I believe the subconscious intention was to leave it that way, untouched.

Euphoria Eau de Parfum dispels all the fallacy about Calvin Klein's fragrances and their supposedly low overall performance. Right now, I can say that this fragrance lasts more than eight hours on my skin and, as far as I remember, it has always been like this.

When it touches the skin, a fruity, unusual, and very rich accord explodes in spicy and sweet nuances, already bringing much of the floral content, which is the backbone of the creation. It was with Euphoria Eau de Parfum that I had my first vivid experience of what orchids would smell like in a fragrance and, in a way, it ended up becoming my benchmark for such a note.

I cannot fail to extol the beauty of the magnolia champaca, a flower that is so close to me these days, since I have a tree in my backyard. And here I am referring to its warm perfume, with slightly fruity and indolic facets, sometimes very close to those of ylang-ylang.

So, this floral bouquet grows along with evolution and becomes extremely sensual, without any overly sweet nuances, but with an ambery and comfortable creaminess that permeates for hours on the skin. A beautiful example of an amber accord, without a doubt!

Euphoria Eau de Parfum was one of the main scents of ballads, two decades ago, but even today it has a modern fragrance capable of conquering men and women. If it were today, with so many female influencers and a much wider level of exposure, I'm sure it would be a best-selling phenomenon.

It marked a generation, made customers loyal, it was the perfume of many brides and even some men. I love it!

pinotos802

I have to agree, it can be masculine leaning and this could easily be an unisex fragrance. It is fresh but not the clean type of fresh, more of a flower kind of fresh if it makes sense? I like the smell, it's all rounder and you could wear it all year long, but to me it doesn't really last and i don't feel it on myself after an hour or two so I don't really get the beast mode fragrance or longevity other people are talking about.

Catherinewither

To me this fragrance is very strong and manly. i heard of many occasions when i was wearing it that it was masculine. I thought this was due to my skin chemistry, so i tried it on others and a tester card yet it smelled the same. i do pick up the green accord and pomegranate but i have to say the fragrance changes a lot. it starts off quite strong and then mellows down a tad and just stays there for about an hour. I can’t even express the change in notes, it just becomes less strong.

disillusioned

So nostalgic for me. Equally woody and floral while staying very feminine. Extremely good longevity and is such a pretty scent.

liushanbao

i just blind bought this based off reviews, and i’m not sure if it’s just my skin chemistry but it smells identical to giorgio armani si intense (2021) on me! it has a little less of that sparkly feel, but it’s ridiculous how similar it is? definitely a night fragrance but a lovely one at that

sm311214

This is a power house fragrance with beast mode projection! It’s warm, sensual and completely intoxicating. This was an instant love many years ago 💜

Bimbo1024

I am not good at describing perfumes but I fell in love this with perfume some years back when I smelled it on my mum and since that day it’s been a fav of mine . It just makes me happy. Anytime I put it on, I have never gotten compliments with this perfume but I don’t care as long as it makes me happy. It lasts for so long. I may be weird but it’s part of my top 5 favorite perfumes which always shocks my friends.

aslibrn178

Wow its a very complex perfume its really really woody and floral at the same time when there both combined its very strong
I think its more of a younger perfume i would wear it at night and cokd weather
Turkish 👇🏼👇🏼
Enteresan bir parfüm çok odunsu ve çiçeksi ikisi karışınca çok ağır oluyor ben o yüzden hiç sevmedim soğuk havada akşam sıkılıcak bir parfüm

maddieonline

This is so strong and heady, but to the point where it makes me feel nauseous. Definitely not one for the office or for a car journey, more something I'd wear on an evening date in winter. I don't think this works with my skin chemistry because it becomes sickly, though even in the bottle I find it incredibly strong. I'm a gourmand girl so this is not for me, I was gifted this and think I will struggle to finish the bottle.

nisarsarah9

A fan of this one. One of my go to fragrances. CK perfumes never disappoint me. Not just me but its also my mother's favorite. Gives off such a positive vibe whenever I wear it. Makes me feel empowered. Love it!!

violetsoul

euphoria smells like an early sex & the city episode, one of the lesser known and possibly more "boring" ones. its like if samantha decided to attend sunday service at a local church in the summer and needed something less sexy to wear, while still keeping a tiny bit of her character. a new mom of two in 2010 who just got a "subtle" breast augmentation and lost weight with fad diet shakes. woody floral that is simultaneously new york sultry and deep south conservative. overall, its dated, but if youre into pretending to lead different lives in different decades like me- you'll like this.

ElonorCrush

Gorgeous scent, my mum wore most of the 2010's. I absolutely love it. Long lasting scent, good for everyone.

sue165

it's 2023 and I still Love wearing this perfume :)

joolya

this is extremely licorice-y. first spray is horrendous. once it settles it smells so so good. it’s very woody with deep florals on the dry down. 90s-esque for sure.

1037

It makes me feel so old to say it but yeah, this is kind of dated. Weirdly more dated than a lot of 90's scents I own. It's just so undeniably 2005. It makes me think of Evanescence and Hot Topic. Sweet, woody, floral, fruity. Middle school dance. I think the typical 2000's perfumes have this weird mixture of smelling sexy and immature at the same time, and Euphoria is no exception. I love it though don't get me wrong. It was my first real perfume and I'll always love it.

Classiclover84

Been saving this for a date night or girls night out. It is a bit sweet initially but as it dries down it becomes more womanly and earthy in a sexy way. I like the nostalgia tied to Calvin Klein. It reminds me of the early 2000s when I guess CK was at its peak. I have been letting it maserate in a cool dark space. So I'm hoping it's got some good staying power and pizazz for a night time wear.

selinacat

This scent has been with me for over a decade but it's time to move on. It's dated, but like a time capsule. CK scents MADE the 90s-00s and this is no different. It smells like CK growing up, being more mature, but it's still got a ceiling. I'm 35 now. This is a gourmand for an oriental lady becoming a woman. Nothing unisex here. But once you know you're a woman, and have that confidence, it becomes dated like memories of innocence, naivety, growth. I don't really want to go back there but I loved it in it's prime.

If you're an old soul in your teens to 20s, this is still a solid Ropion star. Just giving you a heads up, this is a stop on your journey, not a timeless classic. I don't see it staying around in it's current formulation much longer, so grab it for a steal. Be warned, the bottle is super luxe but a stupid design unless you're a minimalist.

If you love deep, smokey, heady scents this is your ideal fruity dream. I'm a super musky, heavy chic, so it was a great sweet daytime scent for my chemistry. It was ideal for feeling mature but approachable in my 20s.

Gillzathrillza

Back in 2008 as a student, I would douse myself in this pre-night out, so whenever I spray it now, there’s a very emotional attachment (as well as some mental associations with hairspray and watery vodka).

Still, it stands the test of time - I loved it for a reason. That woody, ambery violet borders on tempestuous and this isn’t a scent that everyone could get away with. It projects, like any bolshy, confident woman does, and it lasts a deliciously long time.

The bottle is annoying for storage but this is one fragrance I never seem to get tired of.

H_thur

I do enjoy this fragrance! However it evokes a dark, vampy, dark burgundy lipstick and slicked back hair sort of thing…which isn’t my style. It does smell good, and it has its own personality in my opinion! Definitely sexy, vampy and mysterious!

Laurus

I just tried this today, now being able to know the name to a fragrance I have smelled very often before. It is not unpleasant but it is not good either. Perhaps the biggest issue for me is the popularity of this scent to the extend I am already bored of it without ever even owning it. It is sweet and there is nothing fluffy and feminine about it. It is perfectly unisex but I like fragrances that are somewhat buttery too. No this is not for me and I am happy I tried it before blind buying it.

ad4

Sweet but fresh, beautiful combination. Longevity is perfect, I could smell it after more than 12 hours, sillage is pleasant, not too strong, not weak. As someone mentioned it has little bit a 00's vibe. I really like it but I probably won't buy full bottle because this is my sister-in-law's signature.

olol

It's similar to Basic Black Bill Blass .

k@triin

this is how summer night in the hot city smells

Lorela

To me this perfume smells a lot like Louis Vuitton - Attrape Reves. Sure, Euphoria was here first, however no need to buy LVAR when you can have this sophisticated fragrance with CK. I love it. It's a creamy but yet deep smell. It's like a pomegranate is born from black orchid flower with whipped cream. The longevity is crazy. I would prefer this perfume for fall and early spring. This fragrance makes me imagine a mature classy woman that keeps always short nude nails. She has dry skin and has always her sunglasses on, no make up except lipstick, she seems like calm when you don't know her, but she is Euphoric with her partner :P. I really like this perfume, I get a lot compliments everytime I wear it. It was not a love with the first sniff but sure it was a love that stays forever.

soapaddict

Truly euphoric scent,it makes me happy all day when i wear it <3
RECOMMENDED
thank me later...

Jordan 99

I remember sniffing this one right when it came out and I absolutely hate it and I still do, I used to think that it’s the worst sickening , cloying perfume I ever sniffed, but compare to La vie est belle or Flowerbomb it isn’t as bad. It somehow reminds me of mix of Delina perfume de Marley and Viva la juicy, which I can’t stand either. If you like perfumes I mentioned you would love this one. It’s very sweet , heavy gourmand sweetness, from notes I get mostly mahogany. Heavy, kind of inside new car smell. I’m surprised there isn’t leather in the notes.

ravenjane

BEAST. MODE.
I looveeee how this smells. Its exactly the mature, moody, sexy scent I was looking for. Not at all suitable for teenagers, but very nice for a date night or sexy night out. The pomegranate, black orchid, mahogany, and amber scents truly shine in this fragrance, but of course, the notes may not be suitable for everyone.
I will warn that this is not suitable to wear in small spaces, like a car or the office; it has crazy sillage. Even one sample spray on my wrist from hours prior was enough to fill up the car, to my mother's unfortunate demise.

If you're looking for a deep, moody, unforgettable scent, this is absolutely worth it. Found it for $32 at Marshalls ;)

cats_eye

No this smells nothing like Narciso Rodriguez. Mon Paris by YSL is a younger version of Euphoria.

cats_eye

Euphoria is a scent with contradicting facets.. It's fresh, slightly green, ambery woodsy fragrance with a distinctive pomegranate note. This fragrance is magical. It sparkles in the air. Anyone can wear it since it's pretty unisex smelling. It's perfectly blended so I can't smell anything in particular. I will say that I love how it's warm and cozy but never gets funky smelling. Even in the heat. I'll always love this.

♡♡♡

I've had this since 2005, funnily enough it's my most complimented perfume and I can get away with only using 2 or 3 sprays 🙂

blkleather_redlace

For once a Dominique Ropion that I'm not so fond of. I'm not sure I'd say this is a bad fragrance, but it's definitely not my style. To me it is a bit basic and cloying, but I might like this on someone else. I can't say necessarily that's it's poorly put together. It just has a hint of an aquatic fresh smell (I think it's part if the fantasy orchid accord) that rubs me the wrong way. I also dislike the bottle. I really just don't know what they were going for there. I feel a little nostalgic despite myself though, because you cannot smell this without thinking, "Oh, it's the aughts." This is what every Seveteen, Teen Vogue, etc and every mall smelled like from 2005-2009. Takes me right back, and while this was not my scene then, and isn't now, it still makes me remember what it was like to be 16.

Elfin Will

Beautiful well-balanced fragrance with a woody/spicy base. I wonder where the spiciness comes from; I am getting hints of Patchouli as well. I think it's the Mahogany wood which gives this sharp woody and spicy aspect. Very unique fragrance, never outdated! Unisex-feminine I would say, the florals not being too intense. It has a sweet fruity opening but it doesn't last for long.

Reminds me of Ginza and Ginza Murasaki, by Shiseido. But I prefer Euphoria!

noshinn

Unfortunately this perfume is way too strong for my nose. It's too headache inducing for me but I can see someone who likes strong and fresh-spicy scents liking this perfume. It is sweeter + more floral in the dry down which I like but still way too intense for me. It is sophisticated and unisex to my nose. Not for me, but I can understand why some people might like this.

Update: I'm smelling it on my arm again after a couple of hours and it smells fresh-spicy and sweet but not too intense. It smells nice and slightly masculine actually, it would be amazing on a guy.

prax

Such a beautiful and unique fragrance that has aged incredibly well. It's different, yet versatile, funky yet mature. Can't really go wrong with Euphoria

cats_eye

Love this. It's easy to wear and has a nice warm woodsy, amber drydown. It's not been ruined by reformulations either!

ggwpate

Now I'm going to tell you what a great perfume euohoria is because it deserves it. While some of Calvin Klein's fragrances are a bit generic, this one really stood out for me.
Although the fragrance looks like it's designed for women, it's actually unisex, so don't let the label deter you, guys! It's definitely bold and unique, so it might not be the best blind buy. I suggest you try it first to see if it's right for you.

HappiestGirl

this most definitely has an androgynous scent to it. i like it, but it's just not something i'd wear, despite my love for androgyny.

Lastminuter

This pomegranate was designed just for me. My boyfriend's first gift to me! At first the smell was very intoxicating. This was my daily work scent. Good for everyday use. The scent is not generic. It's definitely a winter scent. although it dries a bit fast, this perfume will remain my first.

auroora

Euphoria starts off with a heavy dose of juicy pomegranate, amber and mahogany. The flowers begin blooming through within a few minutes and the persimon becomes more prominent. Adding the green accord to that, the lovely pomegranate suffers quite a quick tone-down. Personally, I'd enjoy it a lot more if the pomegranate continued as the star of the show. The whipped cream gives the blend a soft, powdery finish. Both the sillage and longevity are very intense, so if you enjoy the perfume, the price range is pretty good.

The drydown isn't edgy dark, but it will give its wearer an aura of mystic femininity. Although the scent profile feels a bit dated with so many heavy flowers, it's still a nice perfume, just not my cup of tea.

Yes Malena

Just ding dang good. Anytime, anywhere. Don't give a care.

CandyButterfly

I know many people react to perfumes from the 1980s, 1990s and earlier as old fashioned and screetchy. Maybe they call it the "perfumey" smell... the outdated scent accords department store sales people would spray on customers without their consent. Depending on the fragrance, I agree these accords were often unpleasant at best.

However, to my nose, every decade has its unpleasant "perfumey" smell. Euphoria reminds me of this for the mid 2000s. This was the screetchy smell that would waft toward you as you flipped through women's magazines back in the day.

Even just sniffing this from the decant sample, I could tell I was not going to like this. I put a tiny dab on my skin. An hour later, it's mellowed a bit, but it still smells 2000s-perfumey to me. I don't even care to figure out why. I've got too many other fragrances I enjoy that I don't have to tolerate. I'll just gift this sample to a friend who is figuring out her own taste in perfume. Maybe she'll like it.

smellslikecoffee

I had the origanal Euphoria when it came our. I really loved the smell back then. Unfortunately I ran out and somehow, it escaped my notice for years. Recently I received a sample. I still love the smell. But the present version seems very weak on my skin.

veromoth

If I were to describe it with one word, it would be "GIRLBOSS" - or should I say "WOMANBOSS". Either way it is very bossy. Rather a night scent; however, I do wear it to work sometimes. It matches well with a nice blazer, maybe heels.
But I have to admit, this definitely is not an everyday scent, let alone a blind buy. This perfume is strong and heavy, you just need to feel a certain way to wear it. I bought myself a small 50 ml bottle and I am satisfied with the purchase. Euphoria lasts long and has a moderate sillage.

Om Omar

very nice

candi_n_spice

I'd been wanting to try this, and just found a sample that got forgotten in a drawer years ago! I do quite like it on the dry down, but was struck by a familiarity that seemed strange since I've never worn it. Then I realized, it reminds me of one of my most sentimental frags that I wore as a teenager in the 90s, Revlon Fire And Ice. The notes are different, but for some reason the overall effect is similar. I guess they're both woody amber florals, but there are tons of those, and I've never smelled anything that reminded me of F&I before. They both have orchid? Not sure what it is. This does have its own unique thing, it's more like a sister than a clone.

Anyway, during the opening I felt "meh," it came across very perfumey, but as it dried down it became pretty sexy and addictive to my nose, warm, but nothing too loud if not over sprayed. Probably works year round, but shines in cool weather. I'm not sure if it's full bottle worthy yet or not, but if it remains as affordable as it is now, I could see myself picking it up one day. Can see why it's a classic!

Amber Plokchouli

I had Euphoria around the time it came out and absolutely adored it. I felt it was deep and sexy, whilst at the same time maintaining some woodsy freshness and a bit of sparkle. For some reason I’ve never bought it again (so many others to try out) but I’ve always missed it and I keep coming back to this page. My memory may be failing me a bit, and it might not be as amazing as I recall, but it’s I’ve of the few fragrances that I owned around that time that has left a lasting impression and I feel like I ‘need’ to own again.

beta-ionone

My boyfriend liked this one of a few perfumes we sampled so he was willing to buy it for me.
I might be anosmic to it because when I tried it on a test strip I could barely smell the florals, which are light and dewey, accompanied by a strong sweet and camphoraceous smell that I cannot describe. It's either medicinal or chemical like Ajax powder.
When I sprayed myself that's all I smelled for a while. It's not bad, it has a relaxing effect when I smell it. I do think it could be headache inducing so I only do less than 2 sprays. This spray lasts a long time on clothes. The next day I still smelled that medicinal smell but it was accompanied by a powdery drydown. For having violet in its notes I am very surprised it does not smell awfully powdery so that's a plus. I do enjoy violet but many fragrances with violet end up with a dusty powder element to them.

I cannot describe any notes but it does feel floral, woody, fruity, and ambery all at once.

I think the sillage is pretty good. I put some perfume on a little cotton pad to test the longevity of the notes hours later (vs on me or my skin) on my nightstand and I can smell it though the night. I think we may be anosmic to certain fragrances at close distances like when we spray ourselves. The scent lasts pretty long-- I smelled it the next day on me and my clothing. I think it's pleasant and office safe. Maybe not a good blind buy though. All the comments regarding this fragrance are too varied.

sillyfruit

Hmm, how to describe this perfume… Well, I am not a huge fan. It’s not like it smells bad, per se, but I don’t exactly feel joy sniffing it. It has a bizarre stale mango-ish scent to me that’s reminiscent of an unripe stiff mango when you bite it super close to the skin. It smells kind of how that tastes/feels. It’s also a bit nauseating for me, personally. The mango smell is kind of funny and weird, because I was expecting to see mango as one of the notes in this fragrance but it isn’t. Just me then. Hehe. Other than that I don’t know how else to describe it. I can smell it just fine in my mind, but it’s just jumbles to me. It’s quite sugary sweet I suppose, but in an unconventional way. Not in a cupcake vanilla candy way at all. More like a rich boozy fruity way.

Misschronicallyfabulous

Wow... and no, that's not a good start in this case. The wow is for the rather hefty dose of disappointment I had to deal with after I'd worn this a few times*. The purple box, the bottle, the name, the comments on it... everything led me to believe CK's Euphoria was going to be dark, edgy from the Mahogany and Amber in the base with the sweetness of the flowery heart and added base cream.

Instead... Instead I get a weak & artificial pomegranate juice with a wilted flower-sweetness lounging over a barely there base of something peppery that I assume is the mix of the Mahogany wood and the Amber (usually a banging combination, as I have a plummy rose fragrance with that base that makes me feel like the CEO of a Fortune 500 company who Burlesque dances in her free time 😆). Even looking back at the early years of this perfume I still don't get why this was received so well and until this day considered a classic.

I consider myself lucky that I got the 30ml and paid only 15 bucks. Maybe my 14yo niece will love it and think herself 'mature' when wearing it, and perhaps on her it'll become the rounded sweet floral with edgy- creamy base the pyramid promised, but to me it really gives me little to nothing when it comes to scent.
Add the atrocious projection and longevity to that - initimate and just over an hour on my dry skin (bad, even for me) respectively - it makes sense why I was so wowed with disappointment. I don't hate- hate it (for that it needed to have skanky oud f.e.), but my expectations have certainly put it in the dislike column. I should've listened to one of my favourite fragrance-Tubers who said that only Euphoria Amber Gold is worth having (and of course: that one seems to be discontinued...).

Euphoria can be worn in Spring and autumn. Based on what I'm getting it's not strong enough for winter, but probably runs the risk of getting too peppery for the hot days of summer. I don't consider it a date night fragrance, so wearing it on the day to school, uni, work etc, seems alright if you happen to like it.

I warn everyone not to blind buy this. The chances of your buy backfiring on you seem quite large if you read the enormous discrepancies between reviews - and sadly also the many, many negative ones. Get a sample, decant, try it at a friend's, find it at a store. Only get it untested when you find it in a 90% off bin somewhere.

PS. Sorry, the perfume that makes me a Burlesque CEO has also been discontinued, so naming it has no use. But, there might be ways to improve Euphoria, if - like me - you wanted a stronger, edgier base. I have a tip that might just do that AND that'll give you a great Amber fragrance with a bit of spice and very little flowers if you were looking for one. I recommend the as not yet here mentioned brand: Paris Corner. More specifically: "Paris Corner Amber Night PriveZarah". It's supposed to be inspired by Dior’s Ambre Nuit, but that's rather pricy. Amber Night is usually available at perfume shops where you can acquire Arabian fragrances, and is an Ambergris 'bomb' with a woody base and a peppery rose heart. With the Amber -Wood base being so lacklustre in Euphoria I'm thinking a layering might just create something lovely.

But then, I'm somewhat of a fragrance mixologist and love to mix, match, enhance, improve and create. It's ideal when you have a nicely scented, but too weak on its own, edp or a fragrance that won't fully develop on your skin and that would be perfect if you added vanilla or jasmine f.e. At least, that's how I started. Nowadays I don my chemist hat for the fun of it ;). So yeah... if you were disappointed too, but eager to give the purple box yet another try, then mix & match. You don't hàve to get Amber Night, but saving Euphoria simply means giving it what it needs in your eyes, hopefully already present on your Vanity. Whether that's a rose fragrance, a layer of amber or a spray of another dark fruity edp.

(* I buy a lot of Middle Eastern perfumes and those are notorious 'maceration' freaks. They can be ranging from ugh to meh at first spray, and after a couple of weeks suddenly become the star of your collection with extra notes, multiplied projection etc etc. Which is why I never give up on a fragrance unless it's still not better than "meh/ okay ish" after 3 tries and at least 2mths time. )

DelciaV

This is the perfect perfume to pick up when you can’t choose between the rest of your collection
It’s deep yet bright and has a heavy pomegranate note that anyone could make out it’s pretty but not immature or mature it’s very neutral
I would say though don’t overspray with this one
the silage is also good I’ve gotten compliments

LilSis

I blind bought this on the chance I would like it, the profile seemed so nice. Unfortunately it smells very unpleasant to me, not sure which note it is but I can hardly stand to breathe it. Wore it for a few days to see if it needed to dry down, then shelved it for a few weeks to see if that would settle it some. No luck. Only headache inducing for me, I handed it off to my sister.

Trishalalalala

I saw one of the YouTube videos about it and fell in love immediately. It is dark, mysterious smells like the colour ‘violet’ (if violet had a smell, euphoria would be it).

However, I think the fragrance seems a bit vintage now. A bit old, or probably I’m grown out of it. But this would always have a special place in my heart. A perfume that smells like blast of pepper mixed with darkness of the night.

Anam727

I smelt this first on a friend of mine and it smelt wonderful on him and its been a few months since and I kept remembering it so I bought a sample and lo and behold I still adore it. It smells really really woody and ambery to me while the florals and fruits stay in the back. There are not a lot of feminine fragrances I enjoy but this is one of them.

TranceNdendalist

This is my “get stuff done” perfume. Want to fire off a round of stellar emails? Boom! Start the morning off with an EDM club joie de vivre? Day or night, Euphoria has got you. One spray of this turns me in to a severe German business woman with platinum blond angular haircut from the 00’s. She’s got a maroon suit jacket with big shoulder pads and she does not suffer fools. I actually experienced the lotion for this scent first and prefer it over the parfum. Well they are so different—the lotion has none of the top notes and mahogany rings deep and even leathery tones as it sinks into your skin. Very masculine/unisex which I love. I was taken aback by the juicy pomegranate in the spray at first, smelled much too synthetic but I’ve gotten used to it. It’s great to spray on working from home to get me amped and ready to go. Don’t care if it’s overplayed or whatever. I discovered it a couple years ago and It’s a banger. Just wish there was a parfum that smelled more like the lotion. Elegant women give me compliments on the lotion when I wear it on my hands. It is deep and moody. Swoon. EDP: 7.5/10, Euphoria lotion 8/10

Nocciola23

This is such a gorgeous scent. The notes are unusual and I'm surprised that I enjoy it because pomegranate and mahogany don't sound like a pleasant mix, but it's so, so good.
Its strong, long lasting and expensive smelling. It's more of a dark, sexy fragrance suited for night time.

ava96

This perfume smells so feminine - it's the scent of a strong confident woman to me. The perfume is not one that immediately calls attention, but when it does, it does so with grace, strength, beauty. I am kind of in love! The longevity is really bad though, I have to reapply 4-5 times a day, every couple of hours or so. I did buy a small bottle because the scent is really pleasant.

Woolly Israelita

I wore this fragrance and my grandmother commented on it and told me how good I smelled. I got this as a gift and loved it, but when she validated it, it made me feel like I was doing something lol You're missed dearly SVJ

AlliCat1215

I absolutely love this, I used to have this as a teenager and recently got a sample, it instantly took me back. It’s a beautiful strong, woody scent that has good projection and lasting power. I think I will go ahead and purchase it again.

Killerqueen59

Quite a few people in the reviews have said they have smelled this before, men's locker room, medicinal and I wonder if you are smelling what I smell. Euphoria has a slight background scent that smells like Ajax...I love it!! Unfortunately, I can't wear this perfume without getting a screaming headache.

hnfred

I got this as part of a set and it was by far my least favourite, to the extent that I was afraid to wear it out of fear of giving myself a headache. In the bottle and on paper it gives off an extremely woody and musky scent. Today I finally sprayed it on skin and surprisingly it’s not as bad as I thought. A lot of the musk disappears and what’s left is a sharp woody floral with a smooth sweetness to even it out. Not a scent that I personally like. It doesn’t project for very long but when it does I find it extremely potent, the dry down is pleasant. Please don’t over apply this, the people around you will hate you for it.

giri-boni

I overlooked it for years. Why? This is a GLAMOROUS and ELEGANT CHYPRE, I am in lobr with it!!!!!!!!!

stacia79

One of the sexiest perfumes I have ever smelled. It was instant lust when I inhaled this. The bottle design bears some kind of resemblance to female parts, most likely that was intentional. One night at a party I was wearing this brew and I needed to ask the host what his house number was. He breathed in deeply at my shoulder and said "Ahhhh I don't know." I got the distinct impression that it was not the drink in his hand but in fact, the smell of Euphoria that had derailed all of his thought processes in that moment. It is that good. It's dark and creamy, with notes of mahogany, pomegranate and violet. There is also some black orchid in there softening the lines a bit more. A very deep and mysterious scent. Although not listed in the notes, I always get the impression of plump blackberries on the first spray. Be warned a girl needs attitude to pull this off as it is heady and sexy. You could wear this to a cigar bar. It has a drug like effect on men, garners compliments from other women, and always makes me feel more attractive just wearing it.

2cool2stink

Smells good but it’s something I would like on someone else. It’s very strong and I got tired of it very quick.

vanillashpice

I had to Get RID of this perfume because i am completely anosmic to it. I convinced myself this wasn’t sticking on me but I had just become anosmic to it , probably from how incredibly STRONG it is. I overspray perfumes, and was probably choking everyone around me out when I wore this. I smelled it recently and hated it. It has a matronly vibe. I’m sure it has its audience but it’s not me, the patchouli kills this for me.. if you’re younger and intrigued by this one due to YouTube or wherever else, I highly recommend getting just a travel spray or 1oz of it because it is that strong. You literally need 1-3 sprays of this or you’ll smell like potpourri sorry not sorry.

Bluejasminee

I don’t know why but this perfume gives me headache. I used it a couple of times, I liked it at first but then I hated it. I gave the last bottle to my friend.

XOXO_marcel

I'm that rare person who feels neutral about this. In theory I should love it, since all the notes are things I like. But I've tried it numerous times and it doesn't do anything for me.

I'd describe it as a mild, sparkling berry scent. The mahogany and amber really stick out to me - instead of adding depth and richness, they feel oddly heavy and out of place. The effect isn't bad, just a bit of a letdown. I know this fragrance is beautiful to most noses, but for me, it's like watered down grape juice... with lumps. Not bad, but not one I'll be purchasing.

grreyri

Smelled like straight chemicals to me, even when it was dried down. Also seems like one of the fruits smells rotten.

2/10

ducki.euwu

I love the scent of this but the lack of longevity just makes it not worth it. Good for a subtle scent but I have to reapply too many times.

AMMILLER

I smelled this at Macy's today and it smelled fantastic. Woods and dark fruits and something unique I couldn't place. I can't afford a fb right now but I might spring for a travel size.

Kcbear28

So I wore this perfume excessively in my 20s. Imagine entering the clubs with Hot In Here by Nelly blasting in the background. It gets me in such a bad ass mood. Fast forward a decade later, do I still wear this beast? Hell yeah, specifically, when I need to see my sons teacher cos hes been “challenging”. If I can’t intimidate her, my perfume can! LOL true gem!

I was telling one of my girlfriends about my review of this perfume and she kindly reminded me that it was like 15 years ago, not a decade. Gosh, it's basically a classic at this point.

TeaCakesandDaisies

Ok this perfume is just wonderful to me.I don’t like fruit in my fragrance generally, but this just works. The mahogany note in the base comes off like genuine deep wood that had some spice and fruit Bakhoor burning on it.Its somehow uplifting and comforting at the same time. Not basic in my book. And even it were basic, it would be Dominique Ropion basic.

PolishRose

I don't think I'm embarrassed to admit I wore Euphoria a lot in my early 20's, which is now nearly 20 years ago. What attracted me to it then was that it was distinctive, and at that age, I could believe it was sophisticated. It's not of course; it's just one of the better mass market formulations. Still stands out from the crowd, but not worth more than a 6/10.

kittywhiskers

Love this so much in the colder winter months, as it's a warm, woody, fruitchouli fragrance (even though there's no actual patchouli listed). Berries and wood blended together so nicely. I've never smelled anything like it, it's very unique to my nose and that's why I enjoy it so much. It's rare enough that it happens but when I do smell it on other people out in the real world, I think, "damn that person has good taste." The bottle is beautiful, but practicality-wise it's a little awkward to use. Lasts all day on me but doesn't project very far, it becomes a skin-scent after a couple of hours, which is the real downside to me as this is the kind of perfume I love to wear proudly. It's appropriate for the workplace and transitions well into the night.

Gyps

Just a nice perfume I can wear to work without blasting everyone off their seats in the office. Admittedly, I have to get past the first fruity blast myself which is so common in perfumes these days. I really don’t like fruit heavy fragrances and to me they border on being generic, given so many of them smell the same when I first spray them. Maybe that’s just me and I’m sensitive to those notes. However, once I persevere I get what they are all about once that initial smell is out of the way. Bought this at half price so I’m happy with that and it’s a big bottle too. I really dislike the shape of these bottles, very awkward to spray with. I really don’t know what they are thinking making bottles shaped like that. It’s the same with Prada, really annoying. It’s a like from me for the perfume though.

BougieGirlShops

I quite like Euphoria, and is along the lines as to why CK fragrances are so popular. It's a nice clean fragrance that doesn't have blaring notes, has soft projection, and doesn't push the boundaries.

It's lightly fruity, floral, and vanillic. It's not too bright, but not deep or woody, and not too sweet either. Kind of hits the middle of everything...like Goldilocks, everything is just right. not offensive, not divisive, and can be worn at work. Does have a DNA closer to 90's perfumes rather than contemporary trends. Not that it smells old, but it's not overly sweet or saccharine, and favours a fair balance of florals/woods/greens with just a touch of sweetness to it.

While my description makes it sound boring and generic, it's not that either. I am happy to have this in my collection and I can see myself reaching for it often. It's very pretty and well balanced. I would have guessed peony or gardenia in this, although its not listed as a note. The iris/amber lens a fresh lightly powdered soapiness to it.

Would I buy again? Maybe. Would something else be able to take it's place in my collection? Sure. But you'd be hard pressed to find something similar and of equal quality for the price point.

Cherry_Darling

Quite nice considering it's a fairly basic one - warm, woody, touch ambery and fruity. Can't really go wrong with this one, I discovered it as a friend was using it as a daily one and she smelled great. Nothing too unique but warm and comforting with a fruity twist. No distinctness of the notes but a good blend.

Lamiawitipo

The only perfume I will never get tired of. Compliments magnets, I mean just look at the noses behind it...

mirrorghost

i am not sure i have the right euphoria but hopefully so, as i bought it in a perfume lot online. it smells like a floral patchouli but there is no patchouli listed here, though on another site i saw this did have patchouli, so i'm not sure. i smell florals, fruits, woods and it's heavy on the patchouli. mostly orchid patchouli and maybe pomegranate? though it does not smell tart like pomegranate, more like dark berries-blackberry or blackcurrant. i have definitely smelled this before on the streets. smells like it's time in history, definitely. not terrible, not wonderful but not really me.

Fragranceliker

I adore this scent, maybe its because I’m biased for florals OR this scent is just fantastic! Bottle is display-worthy too. Will need to buy this fragrance asap.

Andy224

Sharp, strong and unisex scent. Very unique and groundbreaking.
Great performance and most appropriate for nighttime.

mhubbard1961

I smelled this on a coworker and HAD TO HAVE IT. Loud and different the way Giorgio was back in the day. As so often happens, practice is different from theory. Not really for work, not quite for date night, this is a fragrance still looking for an occasion to wear it. Still don't know how I feel.

Khigdon1

With the notes listed I thought I’d love this one. However, it gives me and my partner really bad headaches. I think it’s too woody for me. I don’t get the sweetness at all. Luckily, my mom wears it, so I’ll be passing it along to her!

catcat42

This is a nicely done floral woody musk but I think I am losing interest in this group. I used to like this but tastes change. It's a decent office scent a very safe option.

amandaadamc

I wore and loved this fragrance in high school well over ten years ago and I had loved it at the time. It took up my small perfume space, with Coach Poppy and the others that were in vogue for girls my age. I don’t have the same taste in perfume at all now, but CK Euphoria still stays. I tried and bought another bottle recently and dang, do I still love it. It’s spicy, well-blended, very mature rather than my sweet, fruity high school perfumes. I love the amount of spice and it gives an air of the unknown, and seduction. I dropped a vial of this onto the floor of my old workplace and it shattered and made the office smell like… well, Euphoria… but my female coworkers kept saying they loved the smell and asked me what it was. Seems like this’ll be one of my favorites as long as it exists.

markvel

I remember when I was a kid back in 2005 when this perfume came out and my best friend had it...
I was blown away how good this smelt and I'm still to this day ! 😍😍
Also I think that Euphoria is the reason why I fell in love with perfumes in general

cats_eye

This is a classic. It's woodsy, yet fruity with a distinctive candied violet that is sort of powdery. It's related to Angel, Lolita Lempicka and Coco Mademoiselle but I like this better because it's more balanced and better blended in my opinion. It's not brash. Last a long time and gives off a sweet clean woodsy aura. BTW if you like this pair it with BBW Black Amethyst body lotion and Caress Sheer Twilight body wash

TunyaPe

Sorry, I wasn't able to ignore the disrespect from @Clover

smells like diarrhea....ok
and the classic “grandmother”....fine
This is disgusting....sure

BUT when you said ''Leave this fragrance in 2005 where it belongs.'', it only shows that you have neither maturity nor taste in life.

silenthedges

Euphoria is a perfume equivalent of wearing a white shirt with a black pencil skirt... It’s basic but it always gets you compliments.
It’s warm and pretty. I wore it yesterday again after a few months and multiple people smiled at me in public, which doesn’t normally happen in my country.
The only con is really bad projection so you have to overspray. Still love it.

sravz

A perfect blind buy ladies

realitygreene

This is my first time sampling this fragrance and I absolutely love it! So many thoughts going through my head at once. This kind of smells like Coco Mademoiselle? The mahogany is REALLY coming through on my skin and it's so masculine and sexy. The fruity notes remind me of something from my childhood, but also very expensive like a niche fragrance. This is fantastic and I can't wait to test it more!

edit: I finally used up my sample. This scent is scrumptious! It's not a gourmand, but I can't help but think "YUMMY!" whenever I sniff my wrist. It think I need a bottle, but just a small one.

Gyps

Nice perfume. A little generic, as in most perfumes these days smell the same to me. Hate the bottle it’s a pain to spray. I’d wear it anytime, work or play. Well priced for what you get.

LauramaK

Euphoria is both cosy and sexy. It reminds me of rich plum pudding with cream. The pomegranate and rich fruity notes are delicious and well blended. Euphoria evokes memories of when I first wore it on an exhilarating ride on a friend's motorbike one cool evening from Bondi Beach wending our way through Sydney's CBD. It's a lovely fragrance, very feminine and best for cooler weather. I wouldn't wear it to the office but it's ideal for clubs and romantic evenings or just curled up by the fireplace reading a good book.

anitasaastamoinen

Soft, well balanced, pleasant, sensual, a little bit unisex, but more feminine

Somehow I find it a little bit similar to Lady Million: different notes, but I was thinking about Lady Million, when I first tested this. Notes are in balance in this, everything is blended and no note comes out strongly to dominate this scent, at least not on my skin.

sunshine0101

Does a perfume make you dance? Like, you spray it, and you are so blissed out that you do a little happy dance? Euphoria does to me. What a well created, modern yet classic frag. No wonder it is so popular, specially the quality you get at the price point. Loveeee it.

Red Jaguar

I only have the little dabber bottle of this as I wanted to check it out. I agree with the reviewer below that it is dark and mysterious fruity. I get the pomegranate big time, and I love it bc I dont think I have any other pomegranate scents in my collection. It reminds me of an old bbw scent called midnight pomegranate. It is a little spicy and dry woodsy in the dry down. I will eventually get a full bottle. It's really very sexy and sensual imo, but also covertly sexy.

zzzan

Love this perfume on others, it reminds me of my favourite aunty who's like a second mother to me, so as soon as I could I bought it. Big mistake. It does not smell good on me at ALL, I smell like a rugby players armpit doused in that one can of womens lynx . None of the floral notes really stand out when I wear it. Its a perfume I'd recommend to try on yourself, because it's so affordable and accessible.

Rado56

I really like it

Lindsconn

This is the ultimate 2000s night out fragrance. If you want to be transported back to that time I suggest you wear this.

It’s a dark and mysterious fragrance. Very woody with hints of almost a spicy fruit. It’s a very rich perfume. Unfortunately I wish it projected a little more as it could have become my next night out fragrance. I’m sure though if you like strong fragrances that won’t overwhelm you this could be your next favourite!

I do not like this fragrance its woody but it smells like a little weird and like burnt wood i dont think its a floral fragrance it just smells like weird wood you love it or hate it 3/10

perfumelover9999

i love this it's sweet and fruity but darker?!?!?? i wish i could buy this but it's my close friend's signature scent :( but i'd definitely recommend to others

Annemarie

A fragrance for clubbing. That was my assessment when I first smelled Euphoria years ago. Sweet (despite the tart notes), loud, and rather basic ('you're place or mine?'). Crowds, music, booze, not my scene.

Funny to think that the girls who wore the heck out of this in the late 2000s have long since settled down in the suburbs with their kids and their mortgages. Maybe some still have a dusty bottle in a bottom draw that they can't quite part with.

Anyway, when I saw a big bottle of Euphoria in a thrift store recently I thought what the heck, and bought it.

Well geez it smells good! Nice around the house on a winter's night. The opposite of my first impression. I still don't think of Euphoria as a sophisticated fragrance but I'm glad I forked out $8 on it. I like it best when it smooths out and leaves the fruit notes behind. Creamy woods. Very nice.

Anon33

This has been one of my all-time favorite fragrances for years. Cool, confident, a little dark and a bit of an edge, but still approachable. Leather jacket, heels, and dark jeans on a date sexy. I’m still working off of an older bottle, so I can’t speak as to any newer reformulations, but a little bit lasts all day on me.

CatOwned

This stuff is strong and headache inducing. Had to give it away. I also think it got reformulated or something because years ago I'd smelled it and it smelled better to me.

attackofthe clones6594

wife loves this one of her signature scents. And it smells great. on her . A classic but still holds up IMO.

Rcates78

I had no idea this one came out so long ago. I knew it was a hot seller (STILL, in 2022!) but didn't know it was from 2005, was award-winning, or that Dominic Ropion had a hand in creating it. Impressive... although ultimately I don't think it's my cup o' tea.

In a word, I find Euphoria intense. My initial thought was, "Man, what a throwback!" I find it reminiscent of the 80's perfumes that put anyone in close proximity in a chokehold. I'm sure something similar existed in my mom's perfume stash (she loved anything strong enough to cover up the smell of her cigarette smoke). I have a blotter sitting 2 feet away with two sprays on it and can still smell it, loud and proud and it makes me wanna wear pantyhose, shoulder pads, and big Texas hair before I crash a corporate board meeting and scream at everyone in attendance. Add this one to your collection at your own risk. I suspect she would murder your less ruthless bottles while you slept. Lord knows why anyone needs the "Intense" version.

It may very well be well-blended, but I am not familiar with many of the notes listed, so maybe it's just that I'm ignorant and unable sort the individual notes. I would say that any green notes that may be in here are smothered in overripe dark red fruit, wood, and spice, bc that's what I detect. It's a beast, lasts and lasts, and is def for cooler weather. It's pretty vampy, IMHO. I may wear it at Halloween to scare little children...and enjoy it. ;)

Dean ja

I'm a guy and although I don't wear this, I LOVE when my girl does. It is one of my favorites out of her frag wardrobe. I love it at every stage and find it very sexy.

shygirly

I’ve been wearing this fragrance since I was 20 in 2011, the year I met my now husband. It was the only fragrance I wore back then. So for me it was an everyday, signature scent. I took a little break from it the last couple of years as I was in the mood for sweeter fragrances and expanding my collection. But lately I’ve been falling back in love with this. It’s so well blended that I never could have told you the notes without looking. I would have guessed it had berries and wood notes, and something aquatic. These days it reminds me of the holidays (scent memories are weird like that) when I smell it I think of Christmas time. My husband loves this perfume, but that could be nostalgia since I wore this when he was falling in love with me and on our wedding day. Now I’ll probably reserve it for evenings and cooler weather, even though I think it could still be worn anytime. I think that lotus/aquatic note lightens it up a bit to make it wearable for day time. It is long lasting and strong, so careful not to spray too much.

Side note:
Someone wrote this down below, and I kind of love it. Is it weird that it makes me love this fragrance more?
“Smells like a dark forest full of evil, old witches.”

toastperfume

I got this from my dad last year as a birthday gift- upon first spray it just smelled AMAZING. Everything, top to base notes, sillage and longevity were all *chef’s kiss* lovely. My friend couldn’t stop sniffing me 🤨 had to call her out on that one (just kidding, I let her smell me for the rest of the day because I love compliments). I absolutely sprayed the crap out of it, it just had such an inviting and warm dry down… the whipped cream note was really cool I’d say! Safe to say I finished the whole 100ml bottle within a single winter. (I was an oversprayer… it was the only perfume I had back then 😗)

Bought another 100ml as I found it on sale (£39.99!) and got it today. The initial spray smells totally different? I don’t know if they’ve changed something in it but I’m definitely smelling the green accord and it’s way too strong. Like, it’s straight GRASS. I’m sure some people might like that, but I’m not really a fan of walking around smelling like freshly mowed lawn. I know it’s a part of the top notes in this perfume but it never smelled this strong in the last bottle I owned? It took almost 10 minutes for that smell to dry down… and then it smelled great again. The same beautiful, warm, cosy whipped cream and amber smell on my skin. Still projects well!

I think maybe my nose has changed since then… I can’t fault the perfume! The dry down is amazing and can perform well all year round, but maybe be prepared for a potential grass bomb!

ajrose

I read somewhere that this perfume remains one of the top sellers of all time. I finally tried it today. It starts off with tart berry notes that slowly fade into a creamy amber woody scent. I think this is perfectly pleasant though not groundbreaking. I think it could be worn all year and would be a safe blind buy.

Edit 1: Ummmm the creamy dry down is heavenly. Maybe still not groundbreaking, but I understand the mass appeal. Yum!

Sannesans

Great on my skin! My friend always wears it and love it on her. Spicy, soft and woody. Not too sweet. I am still searching for a nice and warm evening scent.
On total discount at local drugstore and I love it.
A good cheapie to bring on holidays and to smell great.
Also a good signature scent.
Good longevity, warm and musky drydown. Also, not everybody’s wearing it. Something I really appreciate.

ShadowCliff

Too licoricey on me, doesn't suit my chemistry. I went through a phase of realizing my scents were a bit youthful and soft, maybe "too juvenile". I wanted something more grownup, mature, sexy. .... Maybe that's not going to be my scent profile, ever. On me, it's overbearing and strong - never washed out of clothes. No compliments from friends or partners (unlike my other go-to scents). Wasn't meant to be. It's interesting to sniff in the bottle, but that's about it.

devaluxe

I was late to the party on this one and never owned it in the mid 2000s when it was popular. However, I really enjoy it. I instantly picked up on the black orchid as it is vaguely reminiscent in some ways of TF Black Orchid, which I own and love. This is deeper though, woody. I could see how this could be headache inducing for someone sensitive to loud fragrances if someone was heavy handed with it. Overall, I do enjoy it but find I don’t wear it all that often. I wear it to bed occasionally when I want to be wrapped in something sensual and decadent.

twiztidladii

To me this is like the epitome of sexy early 2000’s fragrances. Kinda gives late 90’s vibes too. If bottles arnt expensive I might buy one for bedtime. This isn’t something I’d wear out and about especially in summer.

Tolkashutka

A bittersweet reminder of the young, wild, and free girl that I used to be.

Even though I didn't end up with a bottle until my 30's, this scent smells very familiar and very much 2000's to my nose.

I enjoyed my bottle while it lasted, but I don't see myself repurchasing it. It was a fun trip down memory lane while it lasted.

likesleet

this bottle is definitely...something. that aside, i did like this. dark sweet woody pear/pomegranate. next comes a ambery, violet lotus. drydown is sweet and woody.

Cherry08

This is a well blended fragrance. Can wear daytime into nighttime and any season. Good longevity and projection at a very reasonable price.

Something that starts off unisex, powdery-woody-green turns into something creamy and sweet! This isn’t dark as others say. I’ll even wear this shopping. This completes the Y2K look… though this is still an easy reach for me even if I would never wear blue jeans in a million years.

I've had this perfume in my collection for 7 years now. It was my first designer fragrance that I ever owned. I remember when I was in junior high my mom owned the EDT version and I fell in love with it. I would secretly wear it to school and karate class (I had a huge crush on one of the boys who also trained with me). Later on I revealed to my mom that I had been using it a few times when going out (she was wondering how her perfume was disappearing so quickly!) and asked if I could have a bottle myself. My birthday was coming up and I was turning 16. I was so happy when she bought me an EDP bottle and I wore it every single day to school. One day my aunt gave me a long lecture about wearing strong fragrances to places like school. In my excitement to wear this perfume I didn't think about how other people felt around strong scents. So I stopped wearing it and only to certain functions. Fast forward to now I found it once again in my closet covered in a thin layer of dust lol. Wiping the grime off the box, I sprayed the fragrance on my wrists. What a wave of nostalgia it brought back! Sweet, woody, comforting, and pretty at the same time. I think I'm in love with the black orchid note. Normally perfumes tend to go more sour or bad over time, but this was almost exactly like how I remember it. I wore it this past weekend when I went out with friends and it definitely garnered some attention. It's a perfume I will keep in my collection for a while.

Euphoria seems like one in a vast category of very similar smells, but I'm open to the idea that it was the first, or at least most prominent to smell this way (I have no idea, feel free to educate me). I've never consciously sniffed Euphoria, but I've smelled it before, if you know what I mean. It's warm, slightly woody, slightly gourmand, pleasant powder, nothing cloying, strange or shrill about it. The strongest observation I have is that it seems well blended. Beyond that I find it pleasant, but nondescript. Unlike many noses years ago, I could take it or leave it; nothing to dislike, but not much to love for me either, I'm afraid.
Imitation is flattery ( I guess), but it also has the tendency to dilute the power of the thing it's imitating. I would love to have smelled Euphoria out of context.

I didn't wear Euphoria back when it was all the rage (late 2000's), but I remember smelling it (and enjoying it) all around me, as it used to be a signature scent for a few acquaintances, and I would take the occasional spray from my friends' bottles. I always marveled at its woody forcefulness, and at how it read like a contemporary take on the orientals, fit for a generation that would likely twist their nose at the 80's powerhouses. It was quite woody, somewhat powdery and very, very sexy.

I decided to get my first bottle in 2018, and it was so disappointing to witness how Calvin Klein has butchered this fragrance. What you get nowadays is a thin veil of the original; an airier, fruitier fragrance, SO much lighter in every sense. The amber is practically nowhere to be seen, and the drydown is the same generic sanitized "woods" that's in everything these days (it used to be thick, persistent, incense-like).

Euphoria may have never been super original, but it was well done; it was definitely a sexy, in your face, party all night, "won't go unnoticed" kind of scent. Now it's a tame, fairly office friendly fragrance (provided you don't overspray). Sillage is medium to low (it used to leave a trail wherever you went), but it still has good lasting power (around 9 hours on my skin).

Smells like a dark forest full of evil, old witches. Couldn't stand it. The amber note is too much.

Everyone's favourite state of mind, created with bergamot, peach, orchid and white honeysuckle.

This perfume was EVERYTHING in the 2000’s.
So nostalgic , however ofcourse the formulation has changed and the sillage and longevity are not what they used to be at all. What a shame

I have always loved this perfume. It’s dark and seductive. Although I suppose I can pick up the powder i never recognized it as a powder smell . It’s musky , I wear it at home because others have commented that they don’t like it so I got embarrassed. I have a very ha rd time describing what it smells like . Maybe a bit mature. . I’m 33 and I love it but I remember loving it years ago as well when I was a teenager . I know it’s a strange combo but I like to wear it with the sol de janeiro Brazilian bum bum cream . The 2 scents are so different but I love the combo . I almost am surprised there’s no patchouli in this , I get patchouli vibes

This fragrance is quite unique, at least in my experience. I think this effect is due to the combo major prominent to my nose: orchid and mahogany. The first, even if not necessary always one of my favourite notes, I thinks adds a 'mysterious' touch in most of the compositions. In euphoria, it smell sophisticated and has a faint aquatic facet thank to the lotus. As for the second, I simply love this glossy woodsy note, so different from the other woods typically used in fragrance (creamy sandalwood and dry and fragrant cedarwood); it also pairs well with the amber note. As for the pomegranate, unlike many users, it don't show up on me as overpowering or predominant note. It is more an overall idea of sourness and 'syrupyness' on the opening. A stunning composition, all in all, so recognizable. Btw, I don't think the name euphoria fits well the juice. Euphoria makes me think of a light colour, and a light airy fragrance enveloping in a ethereal cloud. Euphoria makes me think of a deep shade (not necessary only a night one) a contemplative and mysterious mood. And yes, a touch of melancholy.

What to say? Comforting. When I smell it, I close my eyes, and I say yes, that's good!
It begins with red fruit, sweet and juicy slightly acidulous (pomegranate) then the flowers make it airy, fresh a little aquatic. amber and woods give it roundness and character but the icing on the cake is cream, which gives it sweetness, but absolutely not a cloying sweetness. It is not the sex but the pH of the skin that makes the difference. For me it is unisex spring.

I've been using Euphoria since it came out in 2005. Has it changed over the years (either because of regulations or to align more closely with modern tastes)? To my nose, yes -- but, if you prefer it the way it used to be, I think there's a fix for that.

The current version of the EDP is heavy on the pomegranate when first applied. (It was always there, but I don't remember it being as prominent as it is in my current bottle.) Once that tart, juicy note dissipates a bit, it evolves much as it used to -- into deep, dark florals, with plenty of rich wood and soft amber. I don't find myself constantly picking out individual notes once it reaches the drydown... it's blended in such a way that I receive a consistent, overall impression of that "floral-woody-amber" signature without being able to pick out one specific ingredient. If you're looking for consistency and want to make sure you are wearing a perfume that doesn't suddenly transform halfway through the day, this may appeal to you. It's spicy, but not syrupy-sweet, and I have been complimented on it a number of times. I know that it was (and is) marketed to women, but it feels thoroughly unisex, and I think anyone could wear it.

The longevity on this is impressive, as is sillage. I get plenty of mileage out of this per dollar spent, and there are a lot fragrances out there that cost more and require more frequent application.

If you find (as I do) that you appreciate the base notes and want to skip past the opening and get straight to them, the Euphoria lotion seems to focus more on those. Often, I find myself skipping the EDP altogether in favor of the body lotion, which seems to hold up throughout an entire day of wear (and can last on fabric/any clothes you wore after applying Euphoria lotion for days).

I have only ever experience dried anise in the spice rack, but if I had to guess what fresh, green anise smells like that's the opening of Euphoria. That lasts about 5 minutes. Dries to a basic light floral with some non-descript base notes. About an hour of wear time. Scent bubble directly proportional to how much you spray. It's not designed to be a room filler. Unisex. Not exotic or indie but not currently common either.

I can't find my first review, it's quite possible that I wrote it and didn't post it for some reason.

Well, here it goes again then. I purchased it pretty much at the same time it came out and I don't know if it was very popular back in 2005 I thought it was even earlier than that I just don't remember the exact year. What I clearly remember is the girl in our local supermarket feeling embarrassed a bit and very apologetic asked me what perfume I wore. I also worked at that time in a retail store I was discussing this scent with my mature elderly customers. I remember that one lady confirmed that she second my thought that there was a perfume like this in the early 80s...I can't remember the name as I was a kid 10 or 12 the most I just remember the bottle when I wore it during our New Year party. That's why it reminds me a lot about the wintertime fun and Christmas... I didn't think it was a mature smell as a kid, it was magical and that's what Euphoria smells like mystery and magic. Now, I see the new comments here 2019-2021, they all say it's synthetic and this upsets me a lot. My top favourite perfume now is Elle by YSL which smells similar in the dry down, my colleague wore Always Red and it also leaves the same whiff in the air... Also, one lady at the supermarket I shopped wore something similar I asked her about this scent and she said it was Britney Spears from what I read it sounds like Fantasy by BS... So, they all smell a bit similar just with slightly different notes...
I would be thrilled to find that old perfume which I wor when I was 10 the reason why I am into perfumes. Edit. I finally smelled a modern version of it. So nope. It is not even close. Nothing like it.

Whipped cream AND violet? Yes please! Nothing remarkable about this fragrance, and for the price I expected better longevity, but this combination paired with the amber makes it sweet and spicy.
