Virgin Island Water by Creed is a Citrus fragrance for women and men. Virgin Island Water was launched in 2007. Virgin Island Water was created by Olivier Creed and Erwin Creed. Top notes are Coconut, Lime, White Bergamot and Sicilian Mandarin; middle notes are Ginger, Ylang-Ylang, Indian Jasmine and Hibiscus; base notes are White Rum, Sugar Cane and Musk.

Virgin Island Water was inspired by a sailing trip near Ginger Island in the Caribbean. This unisex perfume celebrates the tropical splendor and exotic scents carried by the Trade Winds of Sir Francis Drake Channel.

It opens with a citrusy cocktail of white bergamot, Jamaican lime, Sicilian mandarin. The citruses are accompanied by a note of copra, the white inner flesh of the coconut. The heart includes intensive Indian jasmine and sweet hibiscus, exotic ylang-ylang and cold, spicy ginger. The base of the composition includes sugar cane, musk and white rum.

If you have smelled this and think you're getting close buying St.Barts save your money. They are not even in the same galaxy for smoothness and quality. Both project and last about the same (edge to VMW) but St.Barts is pure bar lime and salt vs an exceptional blend of realistic lime, coconut, rum and some tropical florals. This is overpriced and I'm sure there may be cheaper alternatives but I don't think $30 range is where you're going to find them

ctraz

If you want to smell like you just downed an entire bottle of Malibu Rum, get this.

If songs had signature scents, Coconut by Harry Nilsson would wear Creed Virgin Island water better than anyone else.

bluewizard84

A cool lime and coconut-y fragrance that is super refreshing for summers! It can smell a bit like lotion but never quite fully goes into lotion territory. A good summer staple, but can't justify the price. Enjoyed my 10ml decant thoroughly though!

monamushroom

Imagine an exclusive tropical vacation. You have been at the beach the whole morning and now you sit at a seaside café overlooking the crystal clear water and white beach with a fresh lemonade. You feel the sun drying out your skin, and a slight seasalt breeze is hitting your face ever so slightly. You pay for your drink and go down to the beach again ready for a few more hours of that sweet vacation sun.

Sooo… This scent starts of with a very lemony start, with a sweet musky coconutty background. Both sweet and fresh at the same time, but absolutely more fresh than sweet. And that is it. I never get more from this fragrance than that initial scent, and the drydown is non-existent on me? Like a tropical breeze, and an hour later it is all gone.

I know a lot of people have pointed that out, but oh how I wish it was wrong… I really love it, but it’s not worth it for me. But when you smell it, it is magic. Perfectly unisex and tropical vacation in an expensive bottle.

BIGHUFFER

Insanely poor performance. 400-ish dollars for this fragrance is a scam. Yes it is a spectacular scent but this morning I used 5 sprays, 2 on each pec and one on the back of my neck and within 15 minutes it died down to a skin scent. I sprayed again once on the front of my neck and I've been occasionally catching whiffs of that, and perhaps I am somewhat nose blind to this scent but I doubt it, I'm able to identify the major notes pretty easily when I get a whiff. It's literally worse than an EDT, within an hour I can barely smell it even when I fan my shirt in and out. It's a great scent but the performance is worse than I have ever seen in my life.

Jmiles

VIW Is my go to summer fragrance. I only have a few high-end full-size bottles, and VIW is one that I will always have. It’s just so damn uplifting and all the similar fragrances that I’ve tried are just missing the magic.

I don’t get the performance issues that some people mention. My current bottle is from early ‘23, and I received a few compliments at work after putting four sprays on six or seven hours earlier. You can’t ask for much more than that from a summer citrus fragrance.

fietsdief

I just love this fragrance. And about the performance…. I’ve got a new batch and the performance is VERY good on me. Both longevity and sillage.

vayre

Probably the best citrus freshie fragrance I've tried. Just wish the longevity was better but god this is wonderful

PurpleGekko

I went to my local Creed boutique to smell aventus, but as I was trying samples this scent caught my attention. This fragrance is beautifully crafted with a balance of coconut and lime and gives off positive beach vibes. Unfortunately the longevity and sillage of this fragrance do not last, and it eventually turns into a skin scent for me.

erkuttt_

Liked the scent but sillage is below my expectation. My point on this 8,25/10

CrissyCK

Yeah, I had a few bad experiences sampling several Creed fragrances. However, after reading the reviews for VIW, I courageously blind bought it.

First sniff before even spraying - I was disgusted. Smelled like a stinky man. Which at that point I had already unsealed the package, so I now own this huge bottle of Creed... maybe my husband will like it, but doubtful since he's only liked 1 cologne his entire life.

I sprayed it onto a towel just to check it out, and the very first thing out of my mouth was, "holy #$%&, that's GOOD!!!" Oh my!!! I've been checking back throughout the day, and it's still as lovely and strong as ever… it did get a little closer to that initial smell from first sniff, but still good. It was a little less zesty, so I’ll probably carry around a decant to refresh.

It resembles the alcoholic drink version of B&BW Coconut Lime Verbana, with much higher quality ingredients. This scent instantly transports me to warm weather, on a tropical island. This very well may have bumped up to my #1 spot on my summer frags!!

I am a believer now, and I will give Creed a second chance after this!

Overview:
A vibrant and invigorating fragrance that transports you to sun-kissed beaches and turquoise waters. With its tantalizing blend of tropical fruits, exotic florals, and warm, sensual undertones, it captures the essence of a paradisiacal getaway.

Top Notes: Coconut, Lime, White Bergamot, Sicilian Mandarin
The scent opens with a burst of fresh coconut, tangy lime, and zesty white bergamot, instantly whisking you away to a tropical oasis. The addition of Sicilian mandarin adds a bright and uplifting touch, evoking the feeling of warm sunshine on your skin.

Middle Notes: Ginger, Ylang-Ylang, Indian Jasmine, Hibiscus
As the fragrance unfolds, it reveals a heart of spicy ginger, creamy ylang-ylang, lush Indian jasmine, and delicate hibiscus. These exotic florals mingle harmoniously, creating a heady and intoxicating bouquet that captures the essence of a tropical garden in full bloom.

Base Notes: White Rum, Sugar Cane, Musk
In the dry down, Tropical Breeze settles into a warm and sensual base of white rum, sweet sugar cane, and soft musk. These notes add depth and complexity to the fragrance, leaving a lingering trail of tropical allure wherever you go.

Overall Impression:
Tropical Breeze is a captivating fragrance that embodies the spirit of paradise. Its intoxicating blend of tropical fruits, exotic florals, and warm, sensual undertones creates a sensory experience that transports you to a world of sun, sand, and sea. Whether you're lounging on a beach or simply daydreaming of warmer days, this fragrance is sure to evoke feelings of joy, relaxation, and pure bliss.

jaywizard

This one exceeded my expectations, coconut right in your face followed by a cut grass, sea breeze with a hint of lime. This one smells special to me (kind of nostalgic?), even with the underwhelming sillage and performance considering the price. You can just tell right off the bat, this is a beautifully crafted natural scent that's not leaning too heavily one way or the other concerning green or blue. Oceanic, fresh and fruity, absolutely lovely for enjoying midday out on a patio in the spring or summer. It totally gives me destiny islands vibes from kingdom hearts 1.
The biggest letdown is that it lasts on me for 3-4 hours max even as a close sitting skin scent, and stops projecting after 30min.
I almost immediately ordered a few clones ONLY for the purposes of seeking greater longevity. It is a crime that this gorgeous scent doesn't have better performance.

jbozz

Beautiful tropical scent which triggered a really pleasant scent memory for me. This instantly took me back to my childhood weekends when I’d tag along with my dad to get his car washed. Sometimes they’d spray the interior with this amazing smelling piña colada air freshener, and Virgin Island Water reminds me exactly of that but in the BEST possible way! What a random but really cool scent memory that this has unlocked. This did also remind me of Creed’s Royal Water but with some lime and coconut added. The refined quality here is undeniable and overall it’s really a lovely summer fragrance and one that I look forward to wearing a lot as soon as the heat arrives. Longevity so far seems decent with the first few sprays from the bottle, maybe even better than most fresh scents as the coconut (which is very prominent) definitely lingers into the far drydown on my skin.

StunningSamuel

If I had to only use two words to describe it, the two words would be: Limey Sweetness. A lovely frag by Creed, reminds you of how solid they used to be before selling out. In the first few seconds it opens up with explicit lime, then the coconut and sugar and florals beautify it so much. Perfectly unisex, amazing in the summer, last and projects enough to give the wearer a lovely presence and effervescence. 9/10 would be a 10 if it weren't for the Creed price tag! Absolutely worth sampling.

CyanM

Initially all I get is bitterness, like a lime after it's been zested and juiced, and only pith is left. After twenty minutes or so the bitterness fades, and there's a faint sweetness and some creaminess, but more like florals than coconut. (I was starting to wonder if I was anosmic to coconut, but Simone Andreoli Malibu cured me of that concern!) It also smells rather a lot like a bar of soap. An hour in, it has largely faded except for the musk, which feels oddly dry and sterile, and it still smells like Dove soap. Two hours later, it's basically gone. This one really didn't work on me.

Skibidicum07

Could take away my virginity absolutely beautiful scent. I find this to be the best summer scent out there.

Eden02

Creed really put the lime in the coconut with this one lol. It smells super fresh and bright, I can't wait to wear it in the summer. It's fresh but not in the overly "fresh air" or "fresh cotton" smell that can come across as Febreeze, more so in a fresh fruit or being outside on a hot day fresh. It reminds me of a summery coconut drink; it also reminds me of a Lush bath bomb almost, but in a nice way.
At first spray, it's lime for the first 20 or so minutes, then the coconut comes in as a creamy scent, the lime last through out. I personally get a tiny hint of ginger at the back of the nose/throat, not in a way that makes you want to cough, more like how it is in a drink a warm sensation. Personally, I think the hibiscus is what lends itself to smelling so clean as it is reminiscent of shampoo without smelling of shampoo. I haven't gotten much rum on me, more the musk which adds warmth and creamy skin-like scent and sugar cane that gives it a natural sweetness. Doesn't smell like sunscreen to me, it also smells more unisex/more femme to me personally. I'd be interested in layering it with a vanilla or cola scent to see if it smells more like a lime coke or a cocktail. Enjoyable and summery from a person who doesn't tend to like citrus notes.

Arber Cami

Nice, summertime, beachy scent. Opens up very rindy, coconuty with some sweetness.
After 10mins the scent turns into a lime, musky scent with some delicate florals in the back.
A very nice scent, but longevity is mediocre, I get 4h max. Quite expensive to be honest.

DylanMcKay

It smells nice, but to be honest it reminds me of random coconuty sun lotion: it's like getting a hug from an old woman on the beach. And with that in mind the price becomes ridiculous.

kundi301

Arguably my favourite summer fragrance. A tropical summer holiday in a bottle. Opening is amazing, the coconut here is sweet and mixed with the rum, lime and sugar makes it smell delicious. Performance is a shame because it smells so so good. Looses the rum in the dry down and is predominantly coconut with a hint of citrus. If i get a bottle of this i'd just overspray a tad, don't buy this expecting it to last all day

updog

There is no coconut, only gorse.

tylerss20

A very tropical, warm weather fragrance. Coconut is the most pronounced note. I wish this has a more rounded, soft profile maybe with additional of almond or amber. As it is, this is an enjoyable fragrance but it's bit sharp and thin. At the price, I think there are better tropical options.

Jeshuwin

This smells like being on a yacht drinking a mojito with a million dollars in your swim trunks. A really damn good summer smell. I layered this one with Eau de Soliel Blanc- Tom Ford and thats my summer vacation smell. One creeds' best imo. 10/10.

robertwembridge

The rich man's Le Beau.

DapperDon

Refined coconut oil, lukewarm white rum, very little bergamot/ lime sprinkled with a dash of sugar.

Lactonic
Sits very close to the skin & merely gone within 3hrs.

Faint, but I do pick up on the pina colada smell

ilovethedough

Selling a authentic 2008 bottle, 120ml about 65% full with blue cap and original Box!
Very strong performance and in perfect condition.
Contact me for photos, can ship worldwide.

ysl187

Why do this smell savory to me.? Dont get anything people are saying. I can get the coconut-ish thing. But just like, dry coconut. No sweetness. This is a big NO!

beseker101

whats up with the longetivity and sillage? its been 11 hours and its still perfectly fine, the sillage is really good too, even though its been 11 hours. probably one of the cleanest and best scents i’ve ever smelt. 10/10 (no, i did not spray on clothes, its on skin)

lithohydrobio

Newest batch is pretty good! Beats even some of the older stuff that was too coconut heavy, lime and coconut are an even mix this time. Dries down good, mixes with skin and clothes perfectly. The delicate dry down is what makes this a classic creed and not a knock off (others copy the main notes perfectly fine, but smell unfinished).

colsn

Very subtle and just screams vacation I love this and will be getting a bottle for the summer.

8.5/10

Kiwy

Beautiful summer fragrance. It smells like the aroma of MALIBU STONE SOUR or Malibu Sunrise. But the performance is disappointing. An intimate hour is located close to the skin and at exactly 4 hours at most it is not detected even by touching the skin with the nose. 100% unisex. $470 is a lot for what they offer. Don't buy blindly, try the skin on before buying. If you are one of those who receive moderate longevity, consider yourself lucky.

HeiLi

The first couple of sniffs did not impress me. The scent was pleasant and faintly coco-nutty, but not worth the price-tag. Any teenage girl using a coconut body lotion could reach the same effect.
But the next day, oh my!!!! I loved the boozy yummy-rummy scent that emanated from my the arm of my coat where some of the sample-spray had landed.
Suddenly, all the girliness had evaporated and left that rummy goodness that made me feel like I had partied all night at an expensive night club, with copious amounts of Whisky and cigars. I felt like I was walking home at the break of a spring day after a night well-spent and no regrets.
For that feeling alone I would consider buying a full bottle. ;-)

Update: I was so intrigued that I bought a decant online, and with this I get all the coconutty-rummy goodness from the first spritz. Great scent all around! (My first review was written after I tested the scent in a shop and found it to be quite weak. Maybe the bottle in the shop was already old?)

Los Angeles

Current daily, 2023 bottle. Very crisp and sweet, perfect for the sun.

Wnmiller5

I think I might be crazy. I don’t smell any of the notes. To my nose, it just smells like you bathed in a beautiful Caribbean lagoon. It smells like the most beautiful water. I was so freaked out by it, in the best way. I waited to test on skin the next day, then when it smelled the same as before I bought it immediately. It is beautiful.

gemeljoseph

As someone who was born and raised in the Virgin Islands I can confidently say this fragrance embodies our islands and the paradise that we are. Beautiful, tropical and sweet scent that doesn’t give Hawaiian themed air freshener (which is what other fragrances with similar notes tend to smell like). Well done, Creed! Also, @ruskie29 St. Croix is the biggest island of the US Virgin Islands. Not St. Thomas.

SmellSharpe

Best tropical vacation scent of all time.

I have a new “F000” bottle and it smells close to the bottle I owned 8-9 years ago. Likely the best current Creed when comparing to initial release. It has moderate projection but lasts a long time on me.

$300/100ml (discounters) IS expensive but this is one Creed that is worth it IMO.

connerb

It's a scent that does it's name justice. Upon first spray it reminds one of a tropical drink on vacations. I find this to be very situational though because I live in a temperate climate I have to ask myself "When is it necessary to smell like lemon lime, coconut and tropical beach". More often than not I would assume not that much. I would personally recommend a 5ml-10ml bottle for when sun is strong and even a breeze feels hot. I would only recommend a full bottle if you live in a warmer environment so you actually do this fragrance justice.

Libeve33

Oh sugar me.
I just received my mini 10ml of this. I was really hoping I’d hate this.
But it’s so beautiful. It’s everything I want and more in a summer fragrance. I need the bottle, I must have it. But my word, can I justify the cost?
When you spray this it immediately smells like limeade! Cold sweet limeade with the condensation dripping down the side of the glass. Oh and there’s the coconut, I’m having a cocktail now.
This is an incredible fragrance I honestly think it’s a masterpiece. I’m a gourmand girl through and through and I keep trying to venture out into other things but I really struggle with floral perfumes and even fresh ones they all give me a headache. But this, uh I need this. I’m so fussy with fragrances and I order 10 samples and this hunk is the only one I adore? Of course it’s the most expensive.

Jmiles

VIW is my favorite summer scent of all time. For me, this is one of those fragrances that I’ll pay the high price tag for and own forever. Some fragrances may smell similar but they’re all missing something that makes this special. The bottom line is, it makes me happy and you can’t put a price tag on happiness. Go ahead, take my money.

Trevi760

The opening was nice and fresh. I’m not a coconut person but it came across more like coconut water so it was tolerable. On drydown this became almost identical to a cleaning product to me, or perhaps a bathroom air freshener.

Ruskie29

Creed Virgin Island Water is a top scent. Right out of the bottle you get transported to the beach of St. Thomas (The biggest of the Virgin islands) and you get hit with the beautiful smell of a coconut adult beverage while slowly sipping it watching the sunrise. This fragrance has a 10/10 scent. The only negative to this is that the longevity is lacking to some degree. I get around 6 hours witch is decent but I would love more longevity. Apart from that I give this scent a 9.3. The best summer scent out there but just lacking the longevity. Wear this in the summer and you will be the best smelling person there.

Astral Rune

I absolutely love the way this smells. One of my favorites. Yes the sillage may not be the best as well as the longevity but to be honest, I can still pick this up on my skin damn. Near 10 hours later. It isn’t very strong and stops projecting well after about 1.5-2 hours but it’s still an amazing scent if you love coconut and tropical scents.

fietsdief

I love this stuff. The perfect summer fragrance, reminds me of the tropics. Performance is not bad.

10/10

Actxq

Smells like the Caribbean. Very nice summer fragrance. I get a lot of lime in this one, i expected more coconut but it’s still there doing its thing. Dries down into a nice sweet lime scent. Projection is decent, longevity is surprisingly nice for me. I’m getting around 6 hours. For the price tag though, This should be lasting 8+ hours.

cads

I would buy this if it wasn't for the price and sillage.

Arcticmanatee

I love this the lime is super realistic. It’s a super fresh coconut tropical scent. It smells like summer. Not too sweet. It reminds me of a mojito. But it fades out so fast on me. It’s not even that the citrus top notes fade out. I can’t even smell the base notes after an hour. I can’t see paying Creed’s prices for this. If this were $100-$150 for 100 ml I would be seriously considering purchasing it. But for $470 for 100ml it needs to be a better performer.

Zack_Zucco

This lasts pretty long tbf. Smell is fantastic and to me, the ultimate humid day Summer fragrance.

James_Alberts

Every time I wear Virgin Island Water by Creed, it's like being instantly transported back to that unforgettable Caribbean vacation vibe. From the moment it hits the skin, the zesty lime and sweet coconut mix just takes me straight to the beach, with the sun on my face and the sand between my toes. There's something about that first spritz in the morning—it's like a promise of a good day ahead, filled with laid-back moments and tropical breezes. And as it settles, the warmth of rum and musk lingers on, like the memory of a perfect sunset. Honestly, it's my go-to for when I need a little escape or just want to feel that summer happiness, no matter where I am or what time of year it is.

Zigf

Pina colada in a bottle. The problem is this parfume doesn't last long in warm weather where it belongs. So it's kinda useless.

AnastasiaGostieva

Absolutely amazing fresh and citrusy coconut mixed subtle sweetness of white rum. For me it doesn’t smell super expensive, but it’s still way better and cleaner than other tropical perfumes on the market. It had outstanding balance of all the notes listed in the pyramid.

Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Bizzy1995

Very realistic coconut and lime notes in opening. When the florals come in the are distinctive, you get the banana aspect associated with ylang ylang,
The floral muskiness associated with hibiscus and the white notes do jasmine. All detectable to me with a hint of ginger in the background. The rum, musk and sugary sweetness are all prevalent as well as it continues to dry. This smell is refreshing and would get great for summer and tropical locations

Love & fragrance#01

@SavageKing below me,
i don’t even understand a bit of the relevance that your filthy story has to do with this. Don’t wanna know which diseases your dragging with you. 18 men and your married? Do you even have a moral compass?
Damn.

cads

Go to the Caribbean. That's what this smells like. Absolutely delicious.

hollandbri

I got this for my husband back in 2015 from creed boutique, we loved it. Smooth and tropical. Just repurchased for Xmas, what the heck happened. This is not the scent we remembered. Astringent and screechy bergamot and coconut? I’m not getting anything else. Not elegant nor well blended.

ettenig sayam

You know those marvelous videos on Youtube of the newborn infant who cries and then immediately latches on to the mother's face, sucking in her scent, her essence? Well, that's me latching on to the scent of VIC on my hand. I don't know yet about longevity and performance. On my skin nothing lasts longer than 2 hours, and doesn't matter how much I moisturize. It's a bleary New England afternoon, and this fragrance is so uplifting. This one is a keeper for me. Later.

Hellokt

Wanted to love so much, all the listed notes says I should be in Heaven. But alas, I only smell a very wierd and nauseating note I can't identify.....almost like acid rain. So sorry for me, but at least I will save a lot of money on not needing to buy! I am envious of those who get to enjoy this one!

Brooks_m33

I bought this after over a year of sampling. There’s not much to say about the fragrance. Natural, tropical, the best vacation fragrance ever made. You can call it overpriced but there is nothing else quite like it. Smell 10/10, versatility 1 1/2 seasons, longevity 6 hr (projects for 1-2). Summary: A luxurious ultra-realistic beach scent that fetches a pretty penny. Worth the price for me because there is nothing that compares to the quality or uniqueness of the scent.

Miz Wundaful

I love this scent so much. I bought a sample because I was so attracted to the name. It conjures up the image of being on a yacht in Turks and Caicos, and absolutely lived up to that vibe. It is perfect for a sexy beach day/night but is not for sophisticated occasions. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long and is outrageously expensive. And you need several spritzes because it is not high-powered. Still, it is by far the best beach scent I have ever encountered. Most beach scents smell cheap, and this one is so luxurious.

621moni

I actually only have the oil from Oil Perfumery but I can’t stop loving this. I never actually smelled the perfume itself but the oil is something else. I use it only in the summer but it smells like someone crushed fresh lime and sugar all over my body. I feel the oil keeps it projecting from exactly where I want it to ;) and it’s such a hit in the summer. And I never ever buy coconut scents, I find them cheap and tacky. The last time I wore a coconut scent was coconut mango body spray from VS pink ten years ago in high school.

Queenbane

I think my skin just hates this. It just smells like toilet cleaner. Very chemical, a slight hint of the coconut but overall just citrus-chemical.
I hate it, would not consider buying the full bottle.

EllyBabeGold

Creamy coconut, dense coconut, coconut candy.
Not sophisticated, not for occasions, maybe women can pull it off as a night frag.
doesn't respect the super overpriced Creed brand.
a coconut shampoo is what that is.
I've tried to like a sample in so many form, hours after dry down.. After shower, before sleep, tad bit on sleeve. This is just screaming female coconut shampoo and that's all there is to it.
I suspect the guys who say this garners compliments are confusing people asking them "WHAT IS THIS STRONG FACE CREAM SMELL" with compliments.
If you're looking for something euphoric and exotic reminiscent of distant islands, that's not it. That's coconut cream. Buy a coconut frag for $20 if you want this coconut shampoo note in your drawer for school mornings or after shower fresh.

Scentgirlxo

I’m thinking I might have received a bad bottle this smells like bug spray to me from first spray to dry down. Has anyone else experienced this?

EBUniverse

It is one of the atmospheric fragrances. the sweetness is just right, it does not faint. as soon as you wear it, you are transported to a tropical beach. you cannot use this perfume outside the summer season. it is contrary to its structure. it is one of the rare fragrances that I always want to keep in a bottle.

Voyager

This is wonderful for hot summer days by the pool. The scent is incredible and high quality. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long at all. Regardless, it's the only Creed I still have in my collection (I've sold off my GIT, Aventus, and Royal Oud). I don't use it very much only because it doesn't suit a lot of occasions, but it was the fragrance my wife and I shared on our honeymoon, so it does hold happy memories. The coconut and citrus are gorgeous but I think they are perfected by the sugar note, without being too sweet. It's tropical, cheerful, and sort of crystalline. I love it; I only wish it lasted longer.

Zaca

For the Australians among us, smells very similar to Nature's Organics coconut lime shampoo and conditioner. Lovely smell, very expensive considering you can get the Nature's Organics shampoo for $2 from Woolies (somewhat ironically the Nature's Organics shampoo is actually terrible as a shampoo)

marcusfragrantastic

An amazingly fresh, juicy, sweet, and boozy fragrance. Perfect for the summer time on a family vacation. Only if it was a bit stronger and last a bit longer, it would be perfect. Everything aside, this is my favorite cologne.

Brender

Yeah, I'm a virgin, alright. This thing is great, I just love coconut and it's so strong in this, along with the lime. But that's kind of it, sure you can pick up lemon, mandarin and sugary white rum. But in the end it all just blends into a coconut citrus cocktail scent, which is really good and all, but it's weak as hell. The opening is so strong, and it starts to dry down and you can pick up more than just a coconut lime explosion, but then it just disappears.

The scent itself is top tier, but it's another creed clinker.

Myrtillajus

A wonderful refreshing cocktail, Virgin Island is wonderfully summery.
The opening reminded me of sugar soaked in lemon on glasses of tequila, a very pleasant aroma, with coconut slowly appearing and making everything even creamier.
Really good, and I understand the success of this fragrance which allows you to fully experience summer, resulting very sensual.

You can hate on Creed all you want, but you cannot escape from the fact that in terms of number of unique, different, yet mass appealing DNA's, there's few houses that can beat them - SMW, GIT, Royal Oud, BdP, Royal Water, Aventus, Viking...

This one belongs in the very best of the house - rum, coconut, sugar, Musk, citrus - a freshie that isn't just either citrus dominant, or floral dominant. Oozes pure class. Like a champagne brunch in the tropics.

And again, hate on them for their prices and longevity but the ingredients smell so natural and so well blended, it just puts a smile on your face each time.

Are they high priced? Yes. Are they weak on longevity for some of their scents? Yes. Can we deny the craft, though? No.

Perfect Shot

First impression: Very nice fragrance. Starts fresh with a little bit of citrus, then comes the main coco note that stays throughout the whole duration. It smells like piña colada. It really resembles a hot summer day on a tropical island. Unisex leaning slightly masculine.
It lasts about 5-6 hours. Projection is good. I was testing many fragrances and i ran out of space on my skin, i had tested Dior Homme Original in 1 side of the wrist, and then this one on the other side. After a while this smell made dior homme dissapear, all i could smell was this. And today was a very cold day so it lasts through cold. So at least its powerful enough to make other scents dissapear.
The only drawback is the price. It is not a very versatile fragrance. It evokes a tropical island so much that it would not fit other ocasions much. So unless you go often to tropical islands or live in tropical climates this will not be appropriate for most of the year.
I'd be happy to buy a cheaper clone instead of this one.

carrico1986

I was so excited to try this, who wouldn't want to smell like a tropical vacation?! However on me all that comes out is lime and musk and it comes off very masculine and kind of dirty.... Not sure how this is unisex, it definitely leans more masculine. The musk is strong in this one!

I've now realized that I do not enjoy perfumes with musk in them. On my skin they come off smelling sweaty and dirty. No more musk for me!

Creed Virgin Island Water: A Blissful Escape with a Fleeting Aura

Creed's Virgin Island Water is an olfactory journey that transports you to the sun-kissed shores of the Caribbean, offering a tropical escape in every spritz. This fragrance is a celebration of summer, a symphony of coconut, lime, and white rum that dances on the skin like a refreshing island breeze.

The opening notes are an immediate ode to paradise, with the luscious scent of coconut leading the way. The citrusy burst of lime adds a zesty kick, creating an irresistible concoction that captures the essence of a carefree beach vacation. The inclusion of white rum adds a touch of sophistication, elevating this fragrance beyond a simple tropical escape.

While the overall composition is a delight to the senses, it's essential to note that the fleeting nature of Virgin Island Water's aura may leave you yearning for more. The fragrance, like a brief but beautiful sunset, graces the skin with its presence, but alas, its longevity can be as transient as a passing moment.

Despite this temporal aspect, the sheer pleasure experienced during those initial hours is undeniable. The fragrance is so enchanting that the ephemeral nature becomes a part of its charm. It invites you to savor the moment, to relish the intoxicating notes while they last.

Virgin Island Water may not be the longest-lasting fragrance in your collection, but it compensates by offering an unparalleled sensorial experience. It's the essence of a tropical paradise captured in a bottle, a fragrant postcard that evokes memories of sun-drenched beaches and swaying palm trees. For those seeking a temporary escape into bliss, Creed's Virgin Island Water is a beckoning call to paradise, even if it's just for a moment.

I really enjoyed the opening, lime smelt like Mancera's Lemon Line but with that orange peel with it too. Sadly, it disappears quickly & what's left is a musky coconut dry down. It's pleasant but performance is very poor for this one, struggles to reach 5 hours. Seems to be the theme with Creed nowadays.

hanif999

This was my first ever perfume that gave me a “oh wow!” Reaction and couldn't stop thinking about it. I remember smelling all these creed fragrances for the very first time and everyone pointed and talked about aventus. At the time, for a £200 perfume, my expectation was to give me a “oh wow I have never smelt anything like this before and this is the best thing I have ever smelt!” Reaction. However, in reality, the aventus fragrance gave me a “eh, its good, really good, but i prefer other cheaper perfumes” reaction and overall mostly disappointed as I had such a high expectation due to the cost and the hype. As i tried other creed fragrances out, i was getting a similar reaction, until I came across Virgin Island Water. The first time I have smelt this, THIS was the reaction I was expecting for a fragrance that was so expensive. This is probably the most beautiful scent I have smelt, and trust me, I have never smelt a fragrance like this. This was the reaction I was looking for after smelling a £200+ fragrance, and i promised myself that after saving a little more money, I will come back to buy this.

Its a sweet, coconut, tropical scent, and very very unique. Im unsure if it smells premium or expensive as the price tag, but it smells beautiful and unique. I wouldn’t say this perfume is a head turner, or something to impress others, i think this is a type of scent to impress yourself. Its a very happy scent which should be used on a sunny day, best for beaches! But how often am i going to visit a tropical beach in my life? Not many. So id spray it on if I want to feel happy and if I want my day to be sunny.

Many people has issues with longevity, but for my skin, i could smell it even after waking up in the very next morning (so 12 hour+). I would recommend to spray it on yourself and onto your skin to see if it does last. But overall, never have I been so happy to buy a perfume, even after spending £225 on a 100ml! :).

But summarise this, would I buy this to impress others? No. If you want a creed fragrance to impress others, buy aventus. If you want a creed fragrance for a smart wear or something more serious, or a ‘successful’ scent, buy green Irish tweed. But if you want a creed fragrance (or just any fragrance) that smells beautiful, happy and to focus on yourself, buy Virgin Island Water.

#416 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

You're on St. Marten's for the vacation of a lifetime. The weather is perfect (the weather is always perfect, even when it's not). You're on the beach on Cupecoy, and you walk up to "Dany's", an open air bar with a rep for great BBQ. You're wearing a cheap, but nice, citrusy, musky Tommy Bahama frag called "Maritime" under that unbuttoned linen shirt you put on to show off those pecs and abs you've been building at LA Fitness (You could be wearing "St. Bart's", or "St. Kitts", or "Set Sail Martinique", it doesn't really matter with a Tommy Bahama frag). You sit down, flash a friendly smile at the nicely-tanned lady at the end of the bar, put your arms up on the bar, and into a puddle of coconut cocktail the bartender didn't get wiped up. You now smell like Creed's Virgin Island Water.

Poet Laureate Maya Angelou famously said, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." I've learned that when a fragrance maker puts "Water" or "Aqua" in the name, believe them the first time. This is weak stuff. Very little projection even right after application. Lasts a couple of hours tops.

You may have seen those marketing films where they tell someone they're going to be tasting $400 wines and they're really tasting under $20 box wines, and the people just go on and on about how amazing the wines are! That's the folks that rhapsodize about these Creed scents like they are the apex of the perfumer's art.

If you blew $250 on a so-so scent you're much more likely to justify it to yourself and others than to admit you were suckered. I think that's more often than not the case in these premium priced fragrances reviews by users who are just swooning over these mediocre high-priced scents. $250 for a beachwear scent? Are you kidding me? No frag holds up in a stiff ocean breeze. So you take along a $20 freshie and have done with it. Wearing a premium frag on the beach is utterly pointless. Paying $250 to smell like a wet bar top, even more pointless.

Good hunting!

Billford420

I waited so long to try viw, I guess the whole lime coconut thing sounded way too tacky for me. I wish I smelled this sooner, but I’m also glad I waited till the f batch to buy.
The lime top, while very short lived, is amazing. So crisp, lively, almost effervescent, and not too sour or bitter.
After the cool citrus hit of lime, the coconut and rum comes through beautifully. Nice and sweet but not choking or overbearing.
Finally you are gifted with such a nice musk, the musk end itself would make an amazing fragrance on its own.
This is an amazing island vacation scent. It pairs well with a lot of sunscreen. Also, for a sweet fragrance, it’s amazing for sweaty hot weather. I’ve worn this while at work in an 8hr tropical weather shift in the sun and smelled amazing.
One last thing, doing a side by side comparison with an older batch, the new f batch I bought performs much better.

Mortekai

This hit as an absolute lime bomb right off the bat on me. On initial spray extremely strong lime/citrus, almost piercing, mixed with smooth coconut shavings for 30-60 minutes. The lime lingered for about an hour and a half to two hours after this and as it died off the coconut went with it, almost as if they were moving in unison together.

As the lime fades to the background with the coconut the rum and sugar start to come to the foreground and faint musk blended with them, but I can still clearly detect the lime and coconut. it is almost like a coconut lime daiquiri, but the sweetness is toned down by the musk. Once the lime and coconut recede to the background the sillage dies down with them to be more of a skin scent. I didn't get any ginger, but occasionally detected faint hibiscus and jasmine popping up, but not consistently.

Eventually this died down to be rum, musk, and coconut. After that the coconut eventually died off to be a musk with faint rum behind it.

If sprayed on clothing the lime lingers around for a very long time riding up front and can throw off the progression, so just be aware.

This is definitely one of those frags I would only reach for on certain occasions unless you live on the equator and wear nothing but sandals and button up floral shirts lol. I would only wear this in high heat. I feel the vibe of this fragrance limits where you can wear it, it's more of a tropical or beach wear rather than just a hot day in the middle of a city. Quite outdoorsy... Would be perfect for boating. I would be hesitant to take this out during the spring. Definitely no fall or winter. I would steer towards more daytime use but could definitely see this being in place on a warm humid night at an outdoor beach bar type of setting. If not for specific happenings I would just wear it chilling out at home because I like the scent profile. It does get a bit more versatile towards the tail end once it becomes more musky, but you have a pretty decent wait time before that happens.

Vespien

This comes down to skin chemistry, and unfortunately for me this turns into a Musk BOMB on my skin. A particular note that I am learning I am not the biggest fan of, especially when combined with other musky/powdery-like notes (in this case hibiscus and ylang ylang?) which can create a baby powder like note on my skin. And I HATE smelling like baby powder. But unfortunately for me that is mostly what I get from this fragrance.

The first spray wasn't exactly promising either. I was getting a mixture of citrus and windex for about 5 min before it started to settle, and then the musk kicked in. None of the mojito/margarita/tropical vibes that others seem to get.

I do get the citrus, I get the saltiness, I get the coconut, I also get some warmth coming through in the background (ginger?), but it's all sitting on top of a mountain of baby powder.

I even wore this in the heat (30C) to really test it, and it felt like I was suffocating. I should also point out that I sprayed this directly from the bottle at a "high-end" department store, not from a decant, so I know that it was the genuine fragrance that I was testing.

I had high hopes for this based on the reviews, but this just doesn't work on my skin.

TCHB

Anyone looking for a summer fragrance this is it. Pleasing lime & coconut notes that arn't too overwhelming like with cheaper fragrances with coconut. Wore it around tropical Asia and it lasted forever.

Sophia97

This fragrance is one of the best citrus fresh notes I have ever smelled in my 25 years of life. I have always used this bottle initially but it just lacked a little lime, and the projectivity wasn't as it. After doing a little research on it, I came across this page which makes dupes of some of the fragrances, I ordered one of this out of curosity and it turned out SPOT ON, lasts much longer. If you're into a more lime, fresh earthy, musky coconut fragrance I think you'll enjoy this. Oh, jbtw the name of the fragrance is Caribbean Waters by the Dua Brand.

AleMHS

Lime, clean coconut, salt air, and white rum. Very refreshing and reminiscent of hanging by your favourite mojito or margarita beach bar on an island. Not at all sweet and leans slightly masculine to my nose, though I have not tried this in tropical levels heat or humidity yet. I like it, and can imagine it mixing beautifully with whatever scent your sunscreen has…. I only wish the longevity was better.

Update: I have tried this in high heat and humidity and it becomes even more masculine to my nose. A sharp, refreshing lime that just isn’t something I reach for with my preference for more traditionally feminine scents.

Hifza

Oh my, this fragrance is to die for! It can be a go-to-fragrance for spending vacations in tropical countries like Malaysia, etc. This suits best for the weather conditions there. Lime, coconut and fresh spicy notes, all merges so well which results in this extra-ordinary scent. I just don't get it that why the projection is so low and longevity is super weak. If there is any other similar fragrance with better projection and longevity, please drop your suggestions!

MarkoPeeko

Have had a 10ml decant of this that I’ve tapped into gradually over the last 3 years.

Today, it got its final 4-5 sprays. Praise the lord.

I don’t know how much oil Creed had used in the decant I’d bought in 2020, but this stuff absolutely pinged today.

I can still get the occasional waft now 14 hours later. Incredible juice.

Sadly, when I have a cheeky spray of the VIW bottles in Myer (Aussie dept store) they barely make it past the 5 hour mark.

Long live the older versions of the magnificent VIW.

Seuni

Half the price and I’d buy it, a photorealistic mojito with a dash of coconut. The price is nuts for a basically eau de cologne.

acp9489

This is a wonderful combination of a fresh citrus that just a hint of sweetness as opposed to a more cloying, sugary scent. It makes me think of laying underwater in a sunlit pool, watching the light come through the water.

Dolce Gabbana Enthusiast

This is imo the best creed.
It's opens up with lime and rum which gives off a margarita vibe then the lime tones down and you eventually get a nice creamy coconut and the rum actually smells like rum now

DscentFellow007

Great skin scent..

slight boozy lime with a hint of coconut.

Banderson5011

I got a sample of this and it reminds me of spring break in Mexico. The coconut, rum, and lime compliment each other well. Definition of a tropical scent. 7.7/10

Whf

The best citrus scent I’ve smelled. A very nice sour lime with hints of coconut and sweetness in the background. Only con of this is the longevity isn’t really there however still a wonderful fragrance.

bunnymusk

Key Lime Pie bottled - sugary, tart lime and creamy sun baked coconut. Iconic summer vacation scent.

Cherry_Darling

A nice one to test at the airport to compliment an island holiday as an attempt to escape the looming autumn london weather! Anywhere else in London you can't get your hands on a tester bottle that isn't empty already so I've been meaning to satisfy my curiosity as to why Its so popular....while it is nice and island vibey touch coconut touch lime I'm left underwhelmed. Dries down a stale fizzy candy and I'm sure you can find a more lush holiday scent. Smells better on the paper strip although I did add the Royal water to the other side - will have to test that on skin.

Jqwalls

Instantly pleasing and lovable to anyone who loves tropical vacations. The lime and coconut are so delicious and pronounced in this. Performance is rather weak with virtually no sillage after 1hr but it’s still worth owning just so you can enjoy it on yourself. Buy it at a discount on one of the top sites and you can justify the extra sprays throughout the day to make it project a little. By far my weakest creed fragrance but man is it good.

DO NOT believe the suggestion that Tommy Bahama Set Sail Saint Barts smells anything like this. It does not. I own both. It is absolutely nothing like virgin island water. I’ve never found a fragrance that gets anywhere near this EXCEPT Chanel eau de cologne but that costs even more per ounce. Regardless VIW is Worth every penny.

Leolia

Love it, it's delicious.
Lime coconut drink in a perfume.
I'm transported to a tropical paradise.
Last all day on my skin!!

rosewoodoud555

Vinegar. Lime. Smells like a Thai massage spa, but not the upscale kind. It's like the water you dip your feet in that has lime and salt. I guess it's accurate to the name? Very sour. Not sure who wants to smell like this. It's very summery but not in a good way. Quite dry. Pretty terrible to be honest (not liking Creed's offerings, except GIT).

Krisena

It smells like a wunderbaum. Just no.

taurusenergy

Very realistic lime and coconut smell. Pretty intimate and not very long lasting on me though. As realistic as the scent is, it still reminds me too much of a bar of Irish Spring soap to feel excited about it, let alone justify the price.

Ba2siK

Really nice coconut smell, but VERY weak.
Maybe that's why it's named water...

CheriV

I just happened upon this fragrance one day while sniffing different fragrances in a duty free while travelling. I was looking for something different from things in my collection, and boy oh boy did this fit the bill!

I see that many persons compare this to a Pina Colada, but I would more so liken this to a margarita. The scent of this fragrance gives me great reminisce of sipping a shaken margarita, tasting its refreshing, tangy, coolness, having the salt on the rim of my glass kiss my lips, and that smooth booze dance on my tongue. It smells like an effortless, hot, but breezy beach day. So to me, its scent is more so me sipping a margarita while I wear a cocnutty sunscreen laying in the hot sun at a beach. Or perhaps, I have the margarita, but my friend near me has the Pina Colada, so I can catch whiffs of their drink while I sip on mine.

My first time wearing it, the performance was not good. Lasting maybe 2 hours at best with poor projection. But the next time I wore it, I oversprayed this bad boy. And oh my goodness! I was smelling this refreshing goodness for hours and hours until I got home and showered. I was also outdoors in bright, hot sun that day. So perhaps the environment also contributed.

In essence, I love this fragrance. I'm a gourmand lover, and I do not lean towards citruses, but this one has my heart and my attention. It's not suitable for all occasions in my opinion, therefore not making the easiest of reaches, but the occasions it works for, it really works for. I will recommend

MarsOnEarth

I have the new metal cap bottle that I believe started last year if I’m not mistaken. I original smelled VIW in 2018. It was very bright and loud the lime stood out but the coconut was very much present. It lasted about 6hrs and the first 3 had great projection. My new bottle everything is turned down and it has soft projection but interestingly enough I could still smell it on my wrist. I hope that as time passes it will become a bit stronger but I doubt it. Still a pleasant fragrance just preferred the projection of the older batches. Great summer scent, especially for vacations or day parties.

hhaddouti

The fragrance that gave me most unsolicited compliments. It's very tropical with the coconut and lime as said by the reviewers. Expensive though.

strawberrystar

All I get at first spray is lime, like I just accidentally squeezed lime juice everywhere on my arms. But I do get coconut and something sweeter in the background, I hope it develops soon on my skin.

Jrush27906

This takes me to a tropical paradise. I’m on the beach, in my lime green speedo, oiled up with the finest of baby oil. I’m laying out, sipping my piña colada, no umbrella of course cuz I’m a gangsta. I’m being fanned with huge palm leaves by beautiful women; not because I’m attractive, but because they want to bask in my aroma…and check out my glutes.

I live in Ohio, so fragrances like this that teleport me to a different place are a necessity. The top notes never dissipate for me. The coconut, lime, and bergamot are always present and what make this frag so special. It is also very clean, fresh frag, like fresh out the shower after using some high end body soap. You know, like Suave, the coconut scented joint for 2 bucks at your local Kroger, or Piggly Wiggly for my folks in the South.

My favorite summer frag by far…
Scent/ 10/10
Longevity: 7/10
Projection: 7/10

chyan

Lime and coconut; exactly what you’d want to refresh with on vacation. It would be so much better if it lasted and projected.

I will admit I tried at least two different clones of this that were allegedly spot on. They weren’t even remotely close to this -and even though they lasted longer than the authentic they were horribly synthetic and super sharp on the lime. This is much better.

I want to try the Tommy Bahama and Van Cleef and Arpels’ ones that everyone thinks this smells like since both are $150-300 cheaper

Patr70

Creed "Virgin Island Water" is not a creamy coconut scent like Tom Ford "Soliel Blanc".. it's more of a lime, white rum, and a "clean" coconut scent. Creed fragrances are high quality and luxurious but they're also overpriced.. and Creed is one fragrance house that you are definately "paying for the name".

It_Stings_The_Nostrils

I’ve been sampling VIW for awhile now and it has to be one of the worst performing fragrances I’ve ever tried. Now having said that, it is also one of the best smelling fragrances I’ve ever tried.
Opens with an authentic combo of lime and coconut. Pretty linear in terms of development, it gets a little more creamier in the dry down but the lime and coconut remain throughout the entirety. The scent itself is superb, the price itself is ludicrous. If only it would last on my skin for at least a few hours I would gladly purchase a full bottle. In my opinion, even at creed discount prices, VIW is not full bottle worthy.

Update:
I must be a fool in love because I just purchased VIW 💸😅
Still not worth the price but definitely worth the scent!

AnlisaC

Creed can be iffy with me, but today I’m in hot humid weather in Florida and it is shinning like a bright star!! It comes out in the heat, I first get coconut mixed with citrus and when it dries down more I start getting a floral whiffs from the hibiscus. I have to say this is absolutely a beautiful fragrance and I think I’m making this my signiture for the summer. This would be wonderful on everyone! Highly recommended 10/10 just wish the price was a bit more reasonable!

Apotheosis

Embark on a fragrant voyage with Virgin Island Water by Creed, an exotic masterpiece that transports you to tropical realms. Its composition, akin to a delightful cocktail, combines Jamaican lime, Sicilian mandarin, and coconut. However, an unfortunate flaw emerges—the woeful lack of longevity on the skin.

In the realms of Virgin Island Water, a paradisiacal experience awaits. With a spritz, you will be whisked away to far-flung destinations, enveloped by sandy shores and azure seas. Yet, alas, the fragrance's Achilles' heel manifests in its ephemeral nature upon the skin. Embrace its exotic essence, treasure the fleeting moments, and let us implore its creators to enhance its longevity, assuring a fragrant voyage that captivates for all eternity.

ixo

I really like this fragrance and agree with a lot of vibes people are mentioning. Personally I do not really smell much of the coconut, or it's blended so well I can't pick it out. Primarily Lime fragrance and I would say it's a bit masculine leaning.

Performance was just okay for me, which is the biggest downfall of the frag to me.

Treyoxx

Great looking bottle, high quality, and a nice summer scent. Price-wise, IMO not worth it. 'Malibu - Party in the Bay' smells like this. A unisex fragrance for sure, but leaning more feminine.

Kizzyb93

Ok so the scent is stunning but longevity on my skin is quite short lived I love this perfume but I can’t be re spraying all day long

Orangeboom999

A mohito, on a yacht, in the carribean

This is a time and a place fragrance. But if its that time and that place, then there's nothing better

Vicschmidtscents

I just love this stuff.

It’s my signature hot weather scent. Lemon/lime, coconut, hibiscus, fresh, smooth & relaxing. It’s refreshing and sweet and I would literally drink it if it were possible.

Malibu party in the bay is similar, but it has WAY more lime than Island Water. Lime is one of my favorite notes, but I find it to be too intense in Malibu. Malibu also smells a bit more masculine.

Joezlol

It's a great fragrance. It smells like a summer vacation near the water and puts me in a good mood. However, performance overall is horrible. And thus, hard to recommend due to that.

iezc2005

Great summer fragrance, and it lasts like crazy. Projection could be better, after a few hours it becomes a skin scent on my skin. The performance in the other hand is great. I sprayed it one morning, and late in the afternoon people said that they could still smell it. 8/10 Wish it had more lime in it.

klioux

The sharpness of the lime in the opening is enhanced by a ginger bite. It quickly softens into sweet citrusy coconut, with a hazy squint of rum. The notes appear like rolling waves from afar - bright lime leads to ginger spice, which rolls into a boozy bit of sweet rum, then softens into milky coconut, and finally mellowing into musk.

This fragrance makes me think of crisp white linen on oiled tan skin, a little too pretty and put together to truly relax. I like it but I'm picky about my citrus notes, and the lime here is heavy handed for my nose.

jusknow

Great vacation scent thanks to the citrus and coconut. The ginger and ylang ylang give it a spicy edge, like a margarita with a salted rim. Perfect beach resort fragrance

AlexandraRoseD

Coconut heavy.
Well blended and smooth.

I did not get an 'edge' from it, I'm looking for the WOW factor when I'm spraying.

flem

The top really is bright and beautiful. Lime and rum. Sweet and slightly musky. The coconut is in the back, but it’s definitely there even from the start. Almost smells like there also is a sand note in here somewhere, or else the marketing imagery has done a head trick on me. The things you’ve probably heard are true. It’s a very nice and beachy scent.

The dry down stays basically the same, which is great because it's a wonderful scent. The longevity leaves a lot to be desired, but these types of scents often have that problem.

I like Tommy Bahama St. Bart's better. It's more powerful. The coconut and lime are stronger. They both have rum, but it comes across differently in each. They don't even really smell that much alike, but they set the same mood and share the same concepts.

The options that are actually remarkably close are Hawaii Volcano Intense and Malibu Party In The Bay. They both have a VERY similar DNA and I would bet that most people wouldn’t actually be able to tell them apart if tested blind. And even if you could, they still smell wonderful. Plus, any minor differences someone might notice is definitely not worth the ~4x multiplier.

EDIT: Decided to do direct side-by-side comparisons of the real thing and the dupes I have, all at the same time on different parts of my arms. These are in order of how similar they are:

-- Isla Tropical Prive: Incredibly, incredibly similar to VIW. This is nitpicking, because it really is very close, but the lime is the TINIEST touch more synthetic smelling. Like lime juice vs an actual lime. But I don’t think I can't stress enough how much I have to laser focus to find any difference at all. Like 99% the same smell in the opening. Maybe only the perfumer that created this could tell this wasn’t the real thing if blind tested. The one lasts the second longest.

-- Volcano Intense: Extremely similar to the original. A touch brighter/more citrusy. Blind, I honestly don’t think anyone could tell the difference. Maybe not even people that make or sell Creed. I’d say they are like 95% the exact same smell. The other 5% is that brighter citrus. The main draw of this one is that it lasts the longest out of all of them. Also, it’s a bit more powerful/projecting as well.

-- Malibu: This one is the least similar, but not by a lot. Lime is the most noticeable here and the whole scent is even brighter than Volcano. When testing them all side-by-side, I’ve noticed that VIW and the other two have a tiny bit of a powdery feel, which I think is where most of the coconut scent lives. Malibu doesn’t have that powdery feel which causes it to have a smidge less coconut. And it’s a bit more invigorating. We are still talking like at least 90% the same smell. The missing 10% are the parts that make this the best crossover between VIW and Tommy Bahama St. Barts (which doesn’t smell close at all but both have similar vibes).

It might be blasphemous, but I think Malibu might even be my favorite. This is how my mind thinks VIW smells. It’s more real to my nose than the real thing in some wacky way. But again, we are talking about small percentages differently and I would be more than happy to continue to wear any of these. The downside with Malibu is that it lasts as long as the original, which isn’t as long as either other dupe. They both only have a few hours of full projection in them before the scent starts withering. The other two options have several more hours of longevity. More than double.

scentaddicted

Like Hawaiin Tropic for only $295 more. It is a pleasant scent but doesn't project much on me. I like the lime notes at the beginning, but it doesn't last on me for more than 4 hours.

microcastle

coconut, straight up -- but far less sweet than how it usually comes in perfume. somewhere between coconut water and unsweetened coconut milk :)

Docplaya

Great coconut and lime notes. Smells very tropical. For me, it’s a skin scent that lasts maybe 4-5hrs. Smells good but not something I would reach for a lot.

ayarossx

This really made me gag today. I dont like this. Not even on a tropical vacation ;(

queen of confrontation

I want to really enjoy this one but it comes across a bit savory. Kind of like Thai food. Like the kaffir lime that you get in a Tom Yum.

patient_

I just blind purchased this one because the notes really spoke to me as I'm a huge lover of lime and coconut but I'm sort of disappointed. All I smell is lime and coconut and that's it, there's not much depth to the scent. The performance is ridiculously bad, even after overspraying the scent has completely disappeared in an hour.

BGBG

I absolutely love this tropical vacation vibe.

ShaunMichael

It’s very nice. It just really smells like coming lime
Verbena from bath and body works. Which is a compliment to b&bw. As nice as it is….I don’t find it sophisticated enough for everyday wear. Especially for the price.

don00

reminds me of a pina colada cocktail, which i love. nice smell but on the fence if i'd like to smell of a cocktail. pretty strong projecting in the first 30 minutes, but after that it dries down to nearly a skin scent

MasterZ2012

Great tropical scent that really evokes that 'long walk on a tropical beach' vibe. That said, the performance and projection are atrociously poor, fading after maybe an hour. Absolutely not worth the money, and you're better off getting the Dua Brands clone, Caribbean Waters. Same scent and comparable longevity for 1/4 the price.

Jordanio5446

I leave a clean wrist and spray this every time I’m at a shop that stocks it. It’s absolutely incredible, except obviously the performance. I have a very good clone which I’d say is 90% as good.

The fragrance would be worth the price but the performance basically makes it 10x the price - so I’ll need to spend a few grand to match my £30 bottle…

When I can afford to bulk buy this like bottled water then I will. Until then, cheap clone does it.

Then again I might just buy one now

joshua224

I’ve seen a lot of complaints about longevity here. I get that as well, but only in temperatures under 25C. Above 25C this is very strong - I’ve had compliments from 6ft away. This is an excellent beach holiday fragrance. Guys and gals this fragrance needs to be judged on its intend use - in hot and humid weather.

firstmate423

I smell more lime than coconut. I think it smells like a mojito! I blind purchased this and immediately regretted ordering it. I was worried it would lean too masculine on me. It was delivered today, and I am SO happy! This is a beautiful, sweet, fresh, perfectly unisex fragrance! Without a doubt, the best lime/coconut scent ever!

takema

Coconutty summer fragrances aren't usually high on my list. Too often the coconut is screechy, synthetic and a bit unpleasant. I decided to try a sample of Virgin Island Water since it seems to be almost universally loved. After wearing it a couple times, I agree, it is one of the best I have tried in this genre. To me it is a refreshing tropical cocktail. The coconut smells so much more natural than I have usually experienced experienced. The coconut is light and fresh rather than creamy and heavy. More like coconut water than the meat of the coconut. The lime and ginger are deliciously refreshing. The sweetness of the coconut and sugar cane is balanced with the spiciness of the ginger and the slightly bitter tartness of the citruses. I find the florals very muted. I don't really notice them on their own, but they add just the right amount of lushness to the mid of the fragrance giving it the body needed to fill it out.

If you want to smell like a tropical vacation any time of year, this will work, but the heat and sun bring this to life even more. In cooler weather (or even indoors with AC) this is a little muted. Still smells great, but the heat brings out all the best ascpects of this fragrance, especially the spiciness of the ginger. It's a perfectly unisex fragrance, but is especially great for the guys. Us ladies have an abundance of quality beachy offering, but men have fewer options and this one is wonderful. For guys looking for something outside the refreshing blue fragrances for summer at the beach, this one should make the to try list.

For such a light and refreshing fragrance VIW has really great performance. It is light and airy with a light to moderate projection. I don't find it projects beyond arms reach after the first 1-2 hours, but it lasts all day. Each time I wore it, it lasted around 8 hours. It wore just long enough to put on something different for nighttime.

The downside of any Creed fragrance is the price. Like everything from this house, Virgin Island Water is pretty overpriced. Even at discounted prices I can't justify it. I really enjoyed my sample, but the price point is far too high, especially for a scent profile I don't wear often enough. For a higher end beach scent I will stick with Tom Ford Eau de Soliel Blanc, it's a little more my vibe and a price I am OK with paying. If this is your go to beachy scent though...it might be worth the splurge (especially for the guys). The quality, scent and performance are all there to justify a higher price point, just not almost $500.

cyclone1391

Phenomenal! Absolutely gorgeous but damn it's poor performance! The only coconut scent I have truly loved. Fresh lime and ginger candy that settles in to a smooth, clean coconut skin scent. I will definitely have to own a bottle of this eventually as I imagine I would need to shower myself in it for any lasting power.

OfTheValley

What a masterpiece!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent.
Ten times more than the overhyped Aventus.
Bought it for my husband, and swapped it for my not used Aventus, so I can use this goodness on my own.
Fresh, sweet, summery, woody, light but remarkable.
Decent longevity, but for the price it could be improved.
Worth the purchase nonetheless

jjames799

I don't usually like fragrances with coconut as they can give you the impression you are wearing sun-cream but this doesn't ever give me that feeling.

The sharp lime balances out the coconut here and you are left with an absolutely tropical summer fragrance that has a lot of nice florals in the background. The sugar cane mixed with the ginger actually gives me a honey vibe which is very soothing.

In the drydown you get an absolutely beautiful creamy musk - this is absolutely beautifully blended, everything just works.

Performance wise I get 2 hours decent projection and then a beautiful creamy skin scent that I can't stop smelling.

9.5/10 It's pretty unique.

EBUniverse

One of the best perfume for a hot summer days. It’s a tropical dream.

Bodog1986

NOBODY does lime and coconut like Creed! This stuff is tropical summer in a bottle! VIW is one of those that you get best performance from when you start to heat up. The hotter it gets the better it performs.

Ceazer77

Amazing perfume, makes me happy and lifts my mood. The lime and coconut combination Is really good.

Pulp

This is the happiest fragrance I've ever smelled, this scent always puts me in a good mood.
The scent is a masterpiece but the performance is not good for the price you pay.

HeatherMuffin

Can’t get enough of this. I smelled it for the first time a few days ago a d bought full bottle today while I’m in Europe. €180 for 50ml , expensive but just inside what I’m willing to pay for a fantastic fragrance. I can’t find this experience in any of the cheaper coconut lime perfumes. This one has the water vibe that none others do.

sgd11

Absolutely love the smell. Tart lime and sweet coconut. I don’t get any rum if I’m being honest. Unfortunately, this fragrance just isn’t even worth owning due to its abysmal performance. $400+ for something that smells good but lasts a max of 2 hours with no sillage. I’ve had bottles ranging from 2012 up to modern batches and all of them have awful performance. An unfortunate pass.

jasonv

Just received a decant of this and it smells great, very well blended and balanced. There was the good part but now comes the bad. I sprayed two sprays after the shower and literally within 15 minutes it was a very very faint skin scent! I have NEVER had a fragrance to perform this poorly! I own only two bottles of Creed and I stayed away from this house for this very reason! Very high price tag for very weak performing fragrance. I suggest that you get a sample and do not blind buy this fragrance! I would've been highly disappointed had I blind bought this fragrance. If you want to carry your bottle with you and refresh every hour then this is the one for you to buy. I really wanted to add this one to my collection but after what I just sampled....It's a disappointing pass for me!

grak

Love this stuff. Real shame about the price because it does not last very long, but wow...

MatchaCat

I'm getting two notes, tangy lime and coconut. Not detecting any rum. There's no booziness to this. Very fresh, lightweight and easy to wear in the summer. However, after just 10 minutes, the tangy lime disappears and I'm just left with coconut.

Smell: 9 out of 10
Longevity: 4 out of 10
Unisex

For reference, I'm female.

Was gifted a refillable Creed atomiser for Christmas. Was/is nice but not completely as I anticipated. If wanting a high end niche luxury perfume I would still recommend the exceptional Australian young perfumer Christopher Hanlon. Completely UNIQUE. And always works as a distinctive and delicious SIGNATURE SCENT that you are unlikely to smell (on anyone else).

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Pulp

This is my favorite Creed. Few years ago I smelled this and I hated it, I didn't like the coconut smell. But now this is my favorite Creed

skai21

So I tried this today on a warm summer day. To my nose, the citrus really popped - in a bright, fizzy and dispersed in the air kind of way, and a slight coconut undertone - beautiful. Without any sharp lemon or bitter edge to it. A really nice summer scent. Unfortunately, I am unable to even smell anything left of the scent on my skin within the hour...

Urbanskis

This is strictly an summer scent, don’t even think this is appropriate for the spring. Smells like an pina colada. But like all the other creeds can barely perform 3+ hours. 10 minutes after you apply it becomes a skin scent. You have to be sick in the head to spend 200$+ for 50ml

Ceau de Parfum

Put the lime in the coconut. Then put the lime in the lime into the lime again. There you go; not worth the money. The base is an obnoxious clear rum that gets cloying in heat.

I once had a perfume salesperson tell me that Creed is a "real perfume house" because it is an actual family business; therefore, only family hierarchies can be bestowed the honor of a real fragrance "House." After this experience, I vowed never to associate myself with this "House" and its snobbery ever again. I'll take my designer and leave; thankyouverymuch.

lemonsandroses

Straightforward coconut lime. like a squirt of lime in coconut cream. Comment from a friend as I stepped in the car - "you smell good, like coconut". Pretty simple and done well, but I'm not sure it's so different from a cheaper coconut lime body spray. Do not wear to work, it smells too much like a vacation.

Dead0k

Purchased a bottle from creedfragrance.com. Batch F000233. It goes with silver all-metal cap. No cellophane on a box like it is on Aventus. Scent is the same.

Afrikano

At first I get a big blast of coconut and it starts smelling too much like a pina colada but then it fades after a minute and the lime and rum come in making it smell like a fresh, tropical, sweet mojito. I sprayed this and my Tommy Bahama St Barts just to compare the smell and I see why people say they’re so similar. St Barts isn’t a clone but it definitely shares 80% of the same scent profile. I’d describe them like getting a authentic mojito at your local Cuban restaurant vs getting one at Cuban Havana restaurant in Miami. Both are really good but the one in Miami will be more memorable to you. I’d say you could use St Barts for pool and beach days and Virgin Island water for special vacations/trips for more of a scent memory. I just wish it lasted a tad longer but the scent profile is amazing and very uplifting. If it didn’t retail for $300 I’d give it a 10/10 but since St. Barts is 80% similar for only $20 I’ll give it a solid 7.5/10

isrsat

Extremely realistic coconut and lime fragrance. It's as though I squeezed a lime and can still smell on my fingers. Pleasantly salty, delicious, and clean. Moderate performance.

cdgodard

Sprayed 8ml on myself all over clothes and skin... completely gone after 5 hours. One of my favorite smells ever, just doesn't last at all. Kind of unforgiveable

Saltychipdust

Wow just wow!! I get a solid 5 hours and moderate sillage from this beautiful beach scent. That blend of coconut and lime with that Creed musk to round out the base just works. I don’t know about earlier batch’s but the one I gathered my opinion from had the new metal cap. I’d definitely recommend this one as an easy to wear dumb reach that would work in any situation.

NonScents94

If you like Pina Coladas and getting... that's what you're getting, A lime and coconut scent. Like all Creed fragrances the quality of the ingredients are good and smooth however performance will vary.

Definitely test before purchase.

Experience the tropical bliss
As a lover of fragrances, I was excited to try out Virgin Island Water by Creed. The moment I first smelled it, I was transported to a tropical paradise, with the invigorating scents of the Caribbean sea, the warm sun, and the tropical breeze all rolled into one.

The top notes of bergamot, lime, and mandarin open with a fresh and citrusy burst, while the heart of jasmine, hibiscus, ylang-ylang, and ginger provides a lush and exotic touch. The base of sugar cane, musk, and white rum ties everything together perfectly, creating a truly unforgettable scent.

I was impressed by the versatility of this fragrance - it is perfect for any occasion, whether I want to feel refreshed and invigorated during the day or want to add a touch of class to my evening. It is a perfect blend of freshness and sophistication, making it the perfect fragrance for any stylish individual looking to make a statement.

Overall, I would highly recommend Virgin Island Water by Creed to anyone looking for a luxury fragrance that is both invigorating and timeless. Whether you are a seasoned fragrance connoisseur or simply looking for your signature scent, this one is sure to impress.

ScentSensualist

I reach for a bottle, its scent bringing
A tropical vibe, with a touch of summer love
A scent that will make you dance like a dove

It's more than just a scent, it's a summer king
A blend of lime, coconut, rum and everything
That makes you feel like you're on a beach resort
With a tropical twist, it's a true delight

It's like summer in a bottle, a true masterpiece
Not too sweet, not too harsh, it's just perfect in every piece
It's unisex, but on me it smells like the best
A scent that's natural, not synthetic like the rest

The price tag is right, half the price of Aventus
A scent that will make you feel like a continent
With good projection, longevity and a tropical vibe
This fragrance is one you will always keep by your side.

JustasL

I managed to buy a bottle from 2015 ( From what I gathered, pretty balanced year for VIW).
Mostly what I can smell is: coconut ( more like coconut water than coconut milk), Lime, a touch of ginger, white rum and cane sugar.
Now it is not the best time to test this scent( I am in northern Europe, it is winter), but during couple of wears, It managed to perform quite well.
Performance:
Nice projection for 2-3 hours, then the scent little by little gets closer to the skin.
Perfomance: 10+ hours.
Lovely scent.

I love this !
My rating is 10/10.

timothyy

Perfect summer fragrance, probably more suitable towards a younger audience due to its leaning towards a sweetness due to the coconut and lime emitting a pina colada esque fragrance. Would quite probably be one of my favourite fragrances given it provided more lasting power and sillage. As much as I would like to, I cannot wear this fragrance for the day as it dissipates after the first half an hour. That is not an exaggeration or me going nose blind rather the fragrance, or perhaps the newer batches (2021) being so watered down. It has resorted to becoming a gym fragrance as that is the only occasion short enough to wear this fragrance, or grocery shopping however one must maintain a level of respect for the perfume.

All in all, very unfortunately this amazing smell cannot be appreciated by many others besides the bottle owner as it appears to quite literally disintegrate into nothingness upon contact with oxygen. Rather unfortunately this has been a pattern amongst many recent batches of creed fragrances turning into hair mists rather than the fragrances they were so renowned for.

HaydenE24

This cologne gives me memories of a vacation on a beach, maybe the pool water type of level or maybe ocean level, but it's not a bad thing at all. It is perfect for what it is, IMO this is the perfect summer scent if you have the type of money to spend on a creed cologne, this is the best creed cologne by far, better than aventus. If you can get this fragrance at a discounter for less than 200 somehow, it is worth it. An absolute bomb of a cologne.

michaeld2986

It smells good layered with Aventus! Don't expect VIW to hang around too long....it sadly does not perform well.

evertonnick3

This is a top 3 favorite of mine. Not masculine at all. Even if it had a mustache and rode a motorcycle. But it smells so damn good. The opening is absolutely incredible. I truly love this scent.

Monteeze

Was given a sample vial at Saks Fifth and hollly, this is the best Creed fragrance by far. I went to Saks with 2 of my girlfriends and they both went wild over this and were impartial about the other Creed fragrances (I've never liked Aventus either, sue me) . I will be buying this as soon as I can make it back to Saks.

lmnsvgz

This is a very light scent. The lime is the citrus in the fragrance, but it doesn't feel bitter - it is sparkly and gives it a boost of freshness. The sugar and coconut give it a very rounded sweetness that isn't overwhelming. It is a really good summer scent but I think they can do better with the sillage and lasting power.

BGBG

Lime, coconut, sugar and rum. Very potent. I sprayed it before bed on my wrist. Next day morning, I sprayed Drakkar Noir on top of it. A few hours later, Drakkar Noir was gone but I could still smell VIW!

minamartin

I usually go with 2-3 brands at a time and experiment with their works. It came to Creed, finally. I wanted to try another fragrance but the website was out of stock of samples of it, so they had sent me these instead.

For me it smells like coconut shreds - those you get in the grocery store in bags -, store brought lemon juice and somekind of milky drink. It could have been better, but those who like it, it is truly unisex.

persimmonism

Wow! Lime comes out strong and no other perfume has ever transported me to vacation as much as this one. Creamy, very pleasant dry-down. I wouldn't personally wear it, but I love the scent. More wearable for me, though, than Soleil Blanc for the lack of heavier spiciness.

RRivera192

A good summer poolside or vacation scent, but ridiculously overpriced. Creed should be ashamed of themselves. Buy St. Barts Men by Tommy Bahama instead. Exactly the same vibe. Costs hundreds less.

Achilleus

It literally smells like the citrusy disinfectant I'd smell back in the grade school restrooms. Too much going on, unfortunately, not a fan.

Thighz4president

I love this fragrance. I'm lucky in that the lime and coconut stay with me the entire time. It is SO good, alone or layered under other scents.

Chaerinia

I'm absolutely in love with the soft, warm and sugary base smell it's left with after 3+ hours BUT on my skin, the opening and middle notes are a mess! The coconut, citrusy smell and ginger smells obnoxious to my nose, it's so sad I truly adore the base notes :(

QuincesI

It is indeed a rather unique scent, a sort of coconut punch on the beach.

It is indeed very citrusy on the top notes, and I really like the coconut that remains afterward, a kind of sweet coconut at the same time spicy, with ginger notes.

It's a pretty strong scent, which my companion hates to wear but I enjoy it once in a while. Easy on the spray though, because it gets heady fast.

dpark

There's no magic here for me. This smells nice, but like other coconut beachy fragrances it also smells fake. It's coconut sunscreen, citrus, and a vaguely boozy note.

I will say that this is more subtle than some others I've tried. If you want this sort of scent but don't want it to be loud, get this. Spray on what you normally would, and then probably another spray, and enjoy your gentle beach scent. Part of the subtlety of this is that the whole thing feels kind of watery, though. If Malibu - Party in the Bay is a beachy cocktail made with store-bought pina colada mixer and lime, Virgin Island Water is that same cocktail after the ice is mostly melted. The citrus in particular is a bit watery.

I will admit that I've liked this more as I've tried it more times. On my first wear I thought this smelled like a pina colada scented urinal cake. On wear number 3 or 4 I finally crossed over to "I kind of get it".

I'm definitely not rushing out to get a full bottle, though. It's still only okay and despite this being subtle for a "coconut beach" scent, the "coconut beach" vibe itself isn't very subtle. And I don't think this is better than some similar fragrances, just a slightly different take.

KerriZ

OH Creed, Creed, Creed. You are so gifted. What a beautifully delightful summery Island scent. I received a sample so wearing it here in December but with every whiff I am transported to a tropical Caribbean Island warm weather holiday. I love this limey-coconut forward accord. Not sure what the other reviewers experienced because I dont generally think fragrances last on my skin. Sprayed this almost 3 hours ago and still a nice sillage. It's a love for me.

krishnalekhi

perfect perfumery. the absolute best summer fragrance.

malikun

Coconut and citrus, possibly pina colada, that is how I can describe Virgin Island Water. Very nice but it is so weak and so close to skin that I do not think it is worth the inflated price tag 😔

Azzurance

There is something magical-and by that I mean, fragrance magic, the kind that makes you roll your eyes into the back of your head at first sniff-in the heart of this fragrance. If I had to name it I would say it’s the musk and rum combination. It blends deliciously with the top of zingy lime and gritty white sugar I can almost feel between my teeth to produce the olfactory mirage of a top shelf margarita under a cloudless, tropical sky. It’s a bit of a chameleon in that it morphs day to day: sometimes I get more lime, sometimes more coconut, but always that beautiful rum and musk backbone to hold all the players together. Truly unisex. As a woman, I wear this for myself, but also don’t mind the idea of a man in a white shirt (unbuttoned, sleeves rolled up) sending me whiffs of this from the other side of a cabana bar.

KID KOUROS

If you like pina colada.

If you like pina colada, dont buy this, open with a overwhelming very veeeeeery realistic (honestly its like a real one) LIME who last for a good time but the base its somewhat similar to cool water intense, coconut ambery water (like a sun lotion) overall its a very good scent with a tangible crazy quality but also overpriced for what it is in the end.

BBQ Steve

I wore this in Key West and it was /decent/. I wear it anywhere else, and suddenly, I'm in Key West. Also, every time I put it on, I hear Harry Nilsson singing "you put the lime in the coconut, drink 'em both up" and it gives me the biggest smile.

raw umber

I have an older bottle of this and it's almost annoyingly long lasting on me which is extra impressive for a scent that's so citrus-dominant. I think the newer bottles must be a truly weaker formulation because for a citrus scent the original packs a punch.

Fragtizz

Is this discontineud?

fformoso88

Ok this mixed with BR540 is goals af! On its own it’s not my vibe but mixed with BR540 is pure heaven!

lithohydrobio

Don’t buy a new creed and expect immediate performance. It needs to age. Everyone who collects creed knows older is better. If you can’t find older batches of this try harder and stop leaving negative reviews on a masterpiece.

likesleet

i did love this, but it only lasted 30 minutes at most. tropical. light with lime and sugar. cold water

lithohydrobio

Great summer to fall transition frag for those days where the warmth is hanging on and the nights are mild.

Toasted Coconut shell, light Bergamot, Ambergris.

The airy and mild bergamot stays all day and shows it self in nice ways throughout. Very sexy fragrance.

FragranceAK

Feel like I am in Jamaica at a resort just enjoying life and a server walks past offering me a lime soda with coconut slices hanging off the glass.

Damn, I wish this could project :(

Smells gorgeous that lime and coconut do work so well. Unfortunately, the sillage is poor on this fragrance but if you want to rate it off smell alone, this is a 10/10

East River Pearl

Smells absolutely delicious. Such a shame that it is ridiculously priced at over $300 for under 2 oz and with extremely poor longevity and sillage to boot.

Otherwise I adore this scent. Reminiscent of caipirinhas or piña coladas, it's summery and sweet--fresh because of the lime but creamy from the coconut. I don't know if it's the most 'sophisticated' scent but if you're not preoccupied with that than it's nothing but a delight in terms of the actual scent. Unlike a lot of other 'summer scents (Tom Ford Soleil, Replica's Beach Walk, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, etc.) it doesn't have a sunblock smell which I appreciate.

Very grateful to the dupes I've seen mentioned in comments below. I will certainly be giving them a try.

Wintersangels69

The scent is like nothing else in the entire world. Indescribable. The subtlety of the lime cutting through the indolic rum and jasmine. It feels like the embrace of a frolicking Persephone…the hot eternity of dry summer days, the longing for the lush jungle, the simple tragedy of being completely alone in the most beautiful paradise you can imagine. Loneliness, but immense beauty.

Cassandra_Lyris

The last of the 3 CREED samples I picked up last week and IT'S INCREDIBLE...for about 40 minutes...Yep, like Silver Mountain Water this one basically shows up and then leaves for another party without telling you, she's that girl.
A lovely lime bright coconut scent fantastic for summer. If you've got the cash to throwdown on a pre reformulated bottle, AWESOME, I am legit jealous of you. But for the current price, with this just there and then gone lasting power I am going to have to give it a pass. I added the rest of my sample of Aventus to it to prop it up a bit longer and they are nice together but I just can't justify purchasing any of these.
The dupes on the otherhand....

Yalcin05

I’m really feeling sorry for those who’ve had an performance issue. I tried this last week and it gave me around 10-12 hours on the skin with 3 sprays on my hand.. 2 sprays around my neck and 3 around my chest. Well my clothes still smelling to it after 4 days.. I find this to be a to strong perfume for the summer.. I wished Millesime imperial, original vetiver and Erolfa performed like this.. although except for Millesime imperial all creeds perform good on me, this one is the strongest along with Royal water

CR95

Amazing for summer. One of my favourite scents in hot weather. Yes, Montale has scents that are similar. Pick one! :)

LauraAD

Unpopular opinion: this is vile. It smells like Pledge furniture polish and toilet cleaner with a hint of wood polish. And no, I don't have a "bad batch" I've tried a friend's bottle as well as my own sample and they smell the same. So disappointed as it seemed like it was going to be great, but it's just hype and then overpriced weak house cleaning products. I can smell like this by cleaning my house for a fraction of the price. Big thumbs down.

richbtay

Great fragrance from Creed, easily get 8+ hours. I also own Hawaii Volcano which is almost identical at a much lower price and lasts a couple of hours longer

erfanation

Smells like coconut oil mixed with citrus notes! The scent is good but So basic for a nich brand. Nothing special about this perfume.

tofy80

Another brilliant scent from Creed and another disappointing performance. I hoped if it last more than an hour, what a shame 😔.

GiulianaC

Refreshing and sweet without any sharpness or bitterness: it's a perfectly round scent, with sugar and coconut hugging you and the lime and rum peeking through. Balanced in the notes, and absolutely unisex too. Great projection and lasting power.
Virgin Island Water smells like carefree summer nights spent with friends, having fun and drinking from icy cold glasses, but I do see it as potentially being a signature fragrance that would be to die for in any weather and situation. That is, if you love coconut.

AlecGutteridge

The definitive lime-forward tropical scent where the coconut and rum aren't too far behind. As far as the quality of the scent goes I have no complaints, but in terms of raw strength it quickly fades to that of a lotion rather than that of a massively expensive cologne, which is frankly disappointing. 8/10
