Literally green tea. Sharp, lemony, and full of zest. Good for layering, but kind of boring on its own.

JemmaBella

This is the most beautiful fresh summer scent that is somehow still comforting and intimate. I will forever repurchase this as I find it a staple. Very good for healthcare workers also as it’s fresh, mild and inoffensive.

sun_in_a_bottle

Wear this to the office every day. Nice clean fragrance, not strong, have to reapply every 3-4 hours or so, smells more expensive than it is, but I would not wear this in the evening or to an event.

Coffee King

Whenever I tell people that I love Elizabeth Arden fragrances, there's always a look, a look of unease, but whenever anyone smells this, it's always met with positive compliments. Whenever I'm down or stressed, this is my go to, it's like a giant hug, so soothing and comforting. Don't expect it to last very long, it's not potent, but after a bath or as you jump into bed, this stuff is the perfect go to. The citrus opening is lovely, but the dry down is fabulous, amber and tea, honestly I cannot recommend it highly enough.

fourleafedrover8

To the tune of the iconic Marilyn Monroe quote: this is truly the only perfume I could wear to bed. It is fresh, but it has this intoxicating dry down on the skin that’s a little sweet, a little musk, a little amber. All of this really gives it the “je nais se quois” factor that keeps this classic from being predictable. It’s so comforting AND comfortable on the nose, it wouldn’t offend those who are sensitive to scents. It’s so affordable, but it’s funny, this ends up being my most complimented scent!

I highly suggest spraying this both on your clothes but also in the pit of your elbows to get an additional hour of longevity out of it!

Keell

The staying power of this "eau the perfume" is weaker than a body mist. It's such a shame for a wonderfully smelling perfume. This perfume is a cult classic in the tea/spa/green tea category, if this scent was stronger the "loves" on this site would be overwhelmingly higher than the "like" rating. Its refreshing, it makes you feel clean and energetic, there's nothing offensive or heavy in the notes. God I love it so much why can't it be stronger!!!

klfette

I don't usually blind buy bottles, but I've heard good things about this fragrance and it was only $10. Very low risk buy, even for my particular sensibilities (read: stinginess).

It's unambiguously pleasant. The citrus and green tea dominate this fragrance, and they balance eachother out nicely. It's simple and refreshing, nothing fancy but good at what it does. Longevity is poor, but at $10 for 50ml you can reapply as much as your heart desires.

Birdie123

I absolutely love it! It is pleasant, fresh, green scent, not too citrusy. It does not project much, so it is very inoffensive and work appropriate. It is ultimately a very generic scent, but it is very comforting. I just wish it lasted longer, I barely get 1-2 hrs of scent.

WakeUpAndSmelthe...

I got my first perfume around 15 years of age. Green Tea was already fashionable then, but I didn’t like it: it was too new, too different. I liked my first Miss Dior Cherie much better. 30 years, and probably a few dozens of thousands of perfumes smelled later, I bought myself Green Tea as now I can finally appreciate its mastery: complete, refined, smelling simple despite more than ten ingredients. Beautiful. While the “niche” perfumistry is becoming mainstream already and new brands can’t come up with names and formulas pretentious enough, this one is like a breath of fresh air, pun intended. Class, pure class. No wonder its creator is one of a kind.

vminie

This is a classic for me. I love spraying it on my skin and even my clothes mainly because it's light and water...more of a mist to be honest. It's inoffensive and it does feel like I'm just chilling in a garden...could be sunny or a rainy day. I don't mind wearing this to work, just that it doesn't last that long so I'd end up spraying twice

coyoterodeo

very light, but it's pleasant. it smells very clean and gentle - enjoyable and inoffensive, but sadly does not last long

FragranceSmeller69

The opening smells EXACTLY like bubble soap/orange dish soap and lemon lime soda. Instantly brings back memories of blowing bubbles, that's how similar it is. It's nice and bubbly fresh, but not the kind of citrus I like the most, which is more of a lemon rind/petitgrain smell. The drydown is good. Like orange juice and oolong tea.

TheDecantingWitch

This fragrance is walking through the park on a sunny cool spring day. However, it is also sitting on a patio during a rainy spring day sipping tea and reading a book.

It's clean and fresh. Almost like a high end shampoo. I don't find the "shampoo" element a turn off. Smelling clean and fresh is so nice and inoffensive.

dalialoveperfume

Really good drydown

orangeblossom6

Very light and inoffensive, but does not scream perfume. This to me is the sort of scent that feels fresh and refreshing to use after a shower or before bed - and that's pretty much the only time I'll use it. It feels more like a body mist with the way it sits on me, but it is perfect for an elevated, clean smell.

JaySentz

The name isn’t misleading, it’s very close to a cup of green tea with jasmine and a little citrus. Something about the floral element is a little bit creamy.

It’s something to wear for yourself as it is unlikely to be picked up very far. Seems perfectly unisex to me but probably seen as feminine due to the brand. Lack of performance is not as big a deal at this price point, spritz on some more or use it as a little pick up. If you like tea scents it a great one to have around.

littleflames

such a good shower scent! very clean girl aesthetic, it’s a great simple but it effective scent to have in your arsenal <3 to me it smells more expensive than $15 bucks

Plusdeplacenyc

Keeping in mind this was launched 25 yrs ago and was very innovated at the time, simply for that reason, I will continue to repurchase.

maheen.i

anything elizabeth ardene reminds me of my mother, i used to sneak to (secretly) wear this back in middle school! definitely shows me that i love "fresh" and "clean smells are my fav! but as of 2024, it is very outdated.

anamawsity

Smells like the most basic bar of soap that you finally started using after it’s been sitting in a cupboard for 10 years. It even has an awful waxy smell. Had to wash it off my skin because it made my stomach turn. Le Monde Gourmand Thé Matcha is quite similar but not as offensive.

dalialoveperfume

The top notes are ok but ✨The middle notes✨🤤

ladygrenouille

I smelt this at Istanbul airport while waiting for my flight. Inoffensive, simple, fresh. Though, I've never smelt something so foreign to me; it was a smell that held me at a distance, and I stood and sniffed at a scent that I understood I had no business taking part in. To purchase it was unthinkable, to allow it to sit on my skin, unnatural. The scent belongs to a levelheaded couple in 90's NYC. They fall together onto crisp white sheets, in each other's arms. They walk streets I'll never set foot on, listen to music I've never heard, and grew up riding horses and playing sports in prestigious schools with fields of pure fresh green. Though these bits of backstories are just additions to their energy, they don't really exist. I've never met anyone like them, and never will. They don't speak, for they are a feeling. An old commercial portraying an ideal. Clinique in their medicine cabinet. Fresh orange juice on the kitchen counter. A sage satin slip draped on the end of the bed. Reservations for two at a restaurant with a maitre d. The sun shines in a frutiger aero manner for them. So distant I'm unnerved. A cure to narcissism, really gave me some perspective.

LynneDarling

This is such a beautiful scent, uplifting and refreshing. I like to wear this on cold rainy spring days to give me a lift in spirit. It’s a clean girl scent for sure. It won’t choke anyone out. It has an intimate sillage, which is perfect for me and my loved ones who I enjoy being close with. It’s PERFECT for hot summer days too.

I love the smell of citrus and mint. It’s a fizzy citrus, cooling soft mint. Then you get the hints of jasmine, rhubarb and amber and of course in the background tea. This is a herbal natural remedy. Like what you’d get from a sweet cup of tea.

It doesn’t last too long on my skin. A few hours. But I don’t mind, I enjoy having a light fresh everyday kind of scent. Especially when it’s affordable so I don’t have to feel bad for over spraying when I need to. Good for small spaces like cubicles or office spaces. It won’t offend anyone.

Caroline D.

I blind bought this but I'm not a fan. It's inoffensive but, to my inexperienced nose, it's not much of anything in particular. Neither wonderfully sweet, or wonderfully aromatic, etc. It seems bland.
In order not to let my bottle go to waste, I just tried layering it with a sample of CK one (both of lemon, bergamot, green tea, jasmine, oakmoss and musk), and that seems to add a bit of oomph.

DariaFrancesca74

Francis Kurkdjian creator of wonderful fragrances. Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden is a fragrance that evokes the immensity of a grassy blanket on a warm spring morning: the dew peeps out on the grassy blanket and on the flowers on which the first rays of the sun radiate light. A lush fragrance, which embodies: freshness and crystalline purity.

lemmingbee

Upon first spray, this smells EXACTLY like some fancy green tea herbal shampoos I've used in the past. The citrus lends it a very soapy scent, and I can see why some people are reminded of cleaning products. Still, I think it's a pleasant fragrance where the citrus is fresh without being too sharp to the nose, and once it fades a little bit, the green tea notes that float up are a little sweeter and add a lovely depth and elegance. As someone who dislikes mint, I do not personally smell any in this perfume! I can see this being the kind of fragrance where someone who smells it tells you that they love the smell of your shampoo.

Like many people have pointed out, the longevity and projection on this fragrance are very poor. However, if you are looking for something unobtrusive and fresh to wear in hot weather or enclosed spaces, I think it would be very hard to go wrong with this. The price is also extremely reasonable, so it's easy to justify getting a smaller size and reapplying throughout the day if you so desire.

meowwin

every time i step out of my perfume comfort zone i am thoroughly disappointed and this time is no exception. i wasn't expecting total photorealistic green tea but i guess i was hoping to smell like something other than toilet cleaner

vicxrious

Very fresh, citrusy and clean. It is very subtle and lasts like 10 business minutes on my skin tho... I can't complain too much since it was so cheap! I definitely think it is an inoffensive scent that will refresh you when you spray it like a glass of cold lemon water :)

VanHessen1234

Clean, fresh citrus, green tea, and elegant white musk. Very fresh and subtle, staying in the background. It has a clear green smell, but it can get rather bland and boring over time. However, if a green, elegant, and soft vibe is what you're after, then go for it!

fuzzyduckling

this is one of those perfumes that is great to just have around. it’s simple clean citrusy
i dont understand when people complain that a CITRUS smell is sour like omg imagine that😐 a citrus smelling sour??? unheard of,a travesty,a mutant kill it with fire
i would recommend getting the mini (30ml i think?) bc it’s nice and small easy to throw into your bag ,the bottle is cute and you can get it for cheap on ebay
this is my fav for summer time when i need just a cool refreshing spritz and it reminds me of my aunt (she’s rly cool and hip)
it’s just a staple smell

mlariel

typical air fresher

DrGeetaVas

My signature work perfume i needed the calm …

REC

I saw this on sale, and knowing it's an absolute classic I had to add it to the collection. I like it but I doubt I'll give it much wear time. It's bright, green, fresh, and a nice kind of sharp/awake scent. It is very short-lived and does not project. It also burned my skin in one spot after applying. I had just gotten out of the shower, so it could just be that my inner elbow was stripped of natural oils and sensitive, but it had never happened to me with any other perfumes. No rash, so no harm done.

deermusk

this perfume is pretty and delicate, i love it so much! green tea leaf is one of my favorite scents, and i'm happy to be able to smell like it! the preliminary notes of citrus and mint are fresh and make me feel clean, and once it's settled into my skin i can enjoy the soft scent of powder and green tea. the musk and oakmoss are comforting and go insanely well with all of the other notes. of course, the only downside is the longevity, but it was $10 so i don't feel wasteful having to spray multiple times. i think this is perfect for layering with scented lotion, or maybe other springtime fragrances.

Heliotrope72

Rating: 🥴🤕
Do I like it: Nope
Who it is: a demure woman afraid of being noticed for her perfume, wanting to appear fresh and clean
Smells I get: citrus, soap accord, mint, green tea, florals
Meyer's Briggs type: ESTJ, ISTJ

Cleaning acid, synthetic. Sharp interpretation of green tea. Feels a bit more perfumey than most of these lemon cleaner type concoctions as the florals rise, but otherwise still firmly in the bathroom cleaning category.

Midly headache inducing.

silvertealight

An invigorating, uplifting, light, citrusy green spray!! It smells nostalgic to me, i was gifted this both times - once in my early teens and more recently in my late twenties!! it's been suitable for both eras of my life and smells neither old or young - it's a good ageless fragrance!!! it's soothing, minty, calming, my skin loves it! It's fresh and clean, but warm and comforting all at the same time... i can imagine being down by the ocean wrapped in a blanket. I usually wear it after a shower/bath and treat it like a body splash. you can get away with spraying it all over and not be overpowered, it isn't too strong.. I can wear this spray all the time, even to bed. It is so calming and relaxing, it's like wearing aromatherapy! it makes me feel good. it's esp great for summer, when you need something lightweight and refreshing in the humid heat!! I just wish it would last longer. I have to reapply in the middle of the day, if only they had an intense edp version of this!

landlock

this is like the perfect green fragrance, if only the longevity wasn't so awful!

Darla123

Smells fresh and delicious but probably the worst longevity I’ve ever experienced in a perfume. Lasts about 30 minutes on skin and clothes (yes, even with the Vaseline trick). Even my B&BW sprays last longer than this. Worth a try especially at the price point but be aware that you’ll have to respray every hour or so!

a24enthusiast

My first perfume picked from my mom's collection when I was in 5th grade but also it smells more citrusy now

littlesparks

A gorgeous citrus blast with very bad longevity. I spray directly on my collar if I’m wearing something very washable like a t-shirt. Lasts a TOUCH longer, and every minute is heaven. Smells like you’ve just had an orange or a lemonade. Delicate and tart at the same time. If this lasted longer than a generous half hour it would be my all time favorite. I haven’t sprayed more than once or twice in the warmer months and I am looking forward to wearing this on hot cloying days that could use some refreshment.

coveredwithmold

crazy that one of the best perfumes ever is only like 40 bucks

terminallyCapricious

It is NOT feminine

Eren21

Citrus is too dominant for me and from afar that's all I get. Each time I have to let myself go nose-blind to the citrus until I can begin to smell the lovely complexity underneath, which reminds me of the cute hotel we stayed at in Paris during the summer.

Lykopa

Bright, citrusy, zingy and fun! Not calming, like you would associate with a green tea scent, but invigorating. Something to wear out of the shower before you start your day, it has a really nice base and changes notes depending on when you smell it.

veronica9p

Disappointing. I was expecting a soft, delicate, pleasant, cozy/warm green tea, some juicy/sparkly citrus, and perhaps a touch of sweetness to round it off.

It was basically the opposite of all that—sharp, offensive, cold, sterile, almost spicy? Smells like public washroom/bathroom cleaning products/Lysol etc.

I appreciate fresh/citrus/clean scents as much as the next person, but this was not it. Maybe appropriate for the toilet, but not for my body.

Cute bottle though.

benniboo

Hopped on the reddit bandwagon and bought this. It was only £7 for 30ml so why not? All of my scents lean gourmand so I was hoping for a lovely refreshing, clean smelling perfume to wear on hotter days. Unfortunately Green Tea is not the answer, HOWEVER, I absolutely love this scent! It starts off very citrusy and minty, and instantly reminded me of a spa or expensive hotel shampoo/soap. It dries down to a mild but comforting soapy skin smell, like you've just had a shower. The longevity and sillage is really weak, so I wouldn't recommend buying this to use as a going-outside perfume, but I will definitely be using this as a post-shower pre-bed fragrance due to how fresh, clean and unobtrusive it is. Fresh sheets, a spray of this scent, an early night... Sounds very cosy to me.

Cherryz

This was my first perfume, I was gifted it in 2002. I would say it doesn't really smell like a perfume - it's more like a light herbal soap, the most unoffensive scent ever. Fresh, soothing aromatherapy vibes. It's a bit boring to be honest, but it evokes calmness which is a rare find these days. In terms of smell it's miles better than White Tea which I sampled last year. It's cheap, but doesn't smell like it. Fresh, simple and easygoing. I don't have a sample at hand but just thinking about it and writing this review made me feel calm. A scent for true zen-masters who don't mind reapplying every now and then.

kerakiwi

My personal scent that I can't go without since I was 16 (2006)! I just love that white musk base on my skin. It smells so good to me. I have tried other scents with similar base and nothing compares to the pure sweetness of this. I usually purchase several bottles at a time because thats how many I need to get through the year.

The performance and sillage is terrible but that's not that this perfume is about-its for people who like a nice refreshing personal body spray. Yes I think this should be called a body spray and not an EDP.

Uelocty

I’ve been wearing this scent since early 2020 & I absolutely LOVE it!! It’s non offensive, light scent and has great projection. This can be a casual scent or a professional one. Wearing is best in the summer, spring and fall. Reminds me of earl grey tea and bergamot tea than green tea. I’ve went through five bottles over the years, and three body creams with honey drops in it. It’s my signature scent & always will be!😊

lucasthiring

Very fresh scent! At first it smelled like going out on a summer morning with fresh cut wet grass. After a few hours it smells more like the green tea. Very green summer scent

incat

idk smelled like a hotel lobby to me 😭 smelled rly cheap but it wasn't that bad but there's better cheapies on the market

Suze58

Brilliant for layering (with literally anything that needs ‘lifting’) . Lovely woodsy, musky dry down.

skm50

This fragrance started to blow up for some reason on social media. Idk what it is. Nostalgia? Either way it’s $10 at TJMaxx so not huge loss if it ends up being a bust. In my opinion, it smells alright, but nothing to write home about. Smells citrusy in the beginning and then a faint Pure Leaf green tea smell with a bit of soapiness. Barely any performance on me unless I douse myself in it, and then the synthetic smell will give me a headache. This is a good reach if you wanna smell fresh after a shower. Couple spritzes to give yourself a boost. But I’m not wearing this for anything important.

Blossomlove

Can we take a moment to realize we can all get a bottle of Francis Kurkdijan perfume for $12 at Ross! Yes, Mr. MFK himself created this classic.

FlowerSeeker

I love this. The mint is so fresh. It reminds me of the Bath & Body Works scent called Spearmint Eucalyptus. Not the current one - the original one from the mid-90’s, all minty like toothpaste.

This is a bit soapy with a bit of tea and a calm version of mint. I really enjoy it and will wear it again.

JJ2137

Synthetic with short longevity and no sillage. For the price its ok.

Chirpi

It's a crispy, citrus, herbal and cooling scent for hot weather. Lovely, but this perfume does not last and barely performs. The EDP marketing for the fragrance is misleading. I would steer clear from buying this perfume if you look for projection and longevity

Indignatious83

Such a soft, soothing fragrance. Bitter tea and citrus. Could easily be unisex. Light and fades fast, but no problem for the price. Dove makes a soap called Soothing Care that smells a lot like it if you're looking for complementary products.

scentnut

Hello old friend. I wore this in the spring and summer of 2000. I was freshly separated from a toxic marriage, in my twenties, and full of hope for a brighter future. Green Tea smells like “hope” to me. Fresh, uplifting, positive, just all the spa vibes. It is one of the few bottles I have emptied in my lifetime. Thanks to the previous reviewers tips I snagged a bottle at TJ Maxx for $10. I have been enjoying it immensely and due to the poor longevity I am sure I will empty another bottle. For the price and the mood lift, that’s perfectly okay.

AlliCat1215

It’s a nice crisp refreshing summer scent. I personally am just not a tea person. I ended up selling mine bc I also couldn’t smell it after 10 minutes

Shnizel

I thought Im gonna love it but when I smelled it, it really wasn't what I expected..
It smells fresh and clean+summer vibe but it didn't match my expectations, it's not long lasting (1-2 hours)
If you like the clean-fresh citrus smell, you should try this and it's not that expensive so worth a shot

melikro

What can I say that hasn't already been said... Fresh, vibrant, soapy-clean and calming. It's not always what I'm in the mood for, but when I am, nothing else will do. Big 💗!

Linda JK

Two things I love about Arden frags are their affordability and variety.

Green Tea is a classic oldie-- I keep coming back to it.

This is a clean scent, perfect to spritz on after a shower, but longevity and sillage are terrible. Re-sprays are common with the Green Tea line.

Given the sharpness of the lemon and bergamot notes, I prefer to spray the original Green Tea on my top, not my skin. My body chemistry doesn't always like citrusy notes-- they turn sharp and headache-inducing (though I can spray the Mimosa and Lychee directly on my skin).

Unless you don't like lemon and bergamot notes, I'd say this is a safe blind buy, easily found in stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

NappoBappo

It smells like a citrusy cleaning product in the beginning and then it dissipates into a creamy lotion scent after. You and everyone else around you will barely smell it.

lawleizz

Nostalgic scent- parents would always grab it whenever we went to duty-frees. Reminds me of drinking iced green tea under a sunny day. A good blind buy for sure

rea.cb

so clean and refreshing. I've had this for a few years now and it's great for my super sensitive nose, no headaches or nausea at all because it's a light, pleasant fragrance. it's nothing show-stopping of course but it's good for the price on days where you just want a little bit of a refreshing boost. it doesn't really last but you can get a big bottle for like $15 so I don't really mind the longevity for that price, plus you can reapply and not feel like your draining your life savings away with each spray lol

tthelemonsong

My one and only love!!

Been wearing since I discovered this when I was 19 (around 2010-2011). My signature scent that everyone knows me by.

Words can’t describe my absolute love for this scent, but if I had to pick some words… clean, fresh, young, vibrant and happy.

Yes I can agree that it doesn’t last for very long, but because it is so fairly priced I have no qualms with reapplying throughout the day. In fact, it almost serves as aromatherapy for me.

I have tried many other “tea/green tea” scents and still nothing will ever compare to this. Every time I spray this on me I get the biggest smile and instantly feel better.

Bury me in Green Tea and I will die happy

Cogey

I thought I was going to LOVE this one based on all the reviews, so I went in on a blind buy for the steep price of $15. Ha! I love that it’s so inexpensive. It’s giving tea, ish, but it’s a little synthetic to me? Just slightly, not enough to dislike it. I think it’s okay, it is super fresh and just smells like squeaky clean hair or skin. I am glad it’s so cheap because I will absolutely wear this to the gym or exercising. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t smell like green tea to my nose. But it’s clean, soft, light and smells like a pretty neutral fresh shampoo.

Jqwalls

Just picked this up at Marshall’s today for $8 for a little bottle. Ever since I bought aqua media I have been curious about this one due to all the comparisons and wouldn’t you know it—smells 90% like it. Very nice. What a great cheaper alternative to the absolute masterpiece that is MFK Aqua Media. These two fragrances are truly unique and so fresh and calming. I guess it’s the fennel that makes it stand out so much. It makes the citrus just explode and smells like the freshest orange and lemon zest you’ve ever smelled without being too sweet. The tea note fades quickly but is also very nice and soft and accents the rest wonderfully. There isn’t a more perfect spring and summer fragrance imo. This is easily worth 4 times what it sells for. This will be my new travel bottle.

9/10 only because it doesn’t last nearly as long as Aqua media but at this price just spray more. If you love this try Aqua Media for the next level.

dronx

Just recently bought a bottle and I must say I am impressed given the super affordable price point ($15) and how long it’s been around for. It smells so fresh, light and lovely. Perfect for a summers day.

Chasingmytail

Another oldie Ive gone back to as a very cheap perfume. Sadly its weak and I use it more as a body spray after showering. Just a lovely bright fragrance.

saho93

This is quite nice. Lemony tea. I am not sure I can detect green tea per se because of strong citrus, but it’s well-formulated.

There are other notes in the background that I could smell but can’t quite pinpoint to what it is. Maybe it’s mint and celery seeds.

It feels refreshing and cooling.

Heliodora

Timeless classic in the freshie category; my grandma used to love this one, and I can see why! Just got myself a bottle for dirt cheap, and it does not disappoint. Freshly brewed green tea with squeezed lemon, and a hint of something artomatic, perhaps mint. It does not last super long, but for that price, it is to be expected. Perfect for hot summer weather or whenever you simply want to feel fresh and clean.

shery k

I love it this fragrance makes me feel relaxing
After shower or gym on the sunny day
Or if you want to wear it on winter .. just at home for feeling good and feel clean

I don't understand the comments about this not having sillage or lasting power. This stuff is Potent. And I'm a girl who loves her potent frags! I smelled wafts from the one spritz on my wrist all day and it was still on my wrist after I showered. It's very 2000 Sweet Pea to me, very era specific and takes me back to those years. Everyone was wearing Green Tea. I'm not a fan but really wanted to be. MFK is my favorite Nose, but this is just too polarizing and even quite one dimensional. Pretty, but not what I was hoping for.

slyph

It’s the GOAT tea fragrance for a reason, can’t beat the affordability and accessibility! Blind buy, dumb grab, over-spray, out of the shower, no brainer, daily wear, you name it!

RoseG

I like this fragrance. A very nice fresh and clean scent. But it’s not long lasting at all, it lasts like max 30 minutes on me.

appleproffitt

citrus heavy, almost soapy to me. clean scent, not overly 'perfumey'. perfect for day wear. classy. performance isn't the best, but it's a cheap fragrance. smells extremely similar to "white tea & ginger" from bath and body works. honestly, good value for the price. i found this bottle for 10$.

JenSmellsSOGood!

Probably the best fragrance to gift someone who finds perfume too strong. Fresh, citrusy, herbal, and very light. No scent trail, no dry down. You can spray yourself 30x and it won't be too much. Perfect to sleep in after a night shower or to spritz throughout the day during a summer outdoor activity. Not a perfume, more of an after bath splash or refresher. Much lighter today than it was in the early 2000s. A simple scent for the times you don't want to wear real perfume.

Rosiewebber

This is like a spa treatment in a bottle. Fresh, clean, somewhat sweet, comforting. Green tea and citrus, floating on a bed of jasmine. I’m not a freshie girl by any means, I usually find them too harsh and stringent, but this is so lovely. I can’t imagine anyone disliking it.
Downside is performance, I can maybe get 2 hours max on a good day. Cheap though.

aleckzandurh

It's very much American green tea a la Lipton or Brisk—lemon wedge included and sweetened, of course.

This note pyramid is insane. In my mind, it's just citrus (lemon, begamot), mint for garnish, and tea. I can't get into the drydown because it disappears before ever getting to that point. Really more like a body splash than a fine fragrance in terms of pricepoint (~$15 USD) and longevity (20 minutes, if that!). But that aside, it's a refreshing scent to keep in your back pocket. I suppose it might be nice to keep in a hiking bag or perhaps at an amusement park, any hot situation where you might want a refresher.

Kayrmac

This is a dumb reach for me in the summertime. It's fresh, sweet, spicy and the green tea does pop through, behind mint and other spices. I can douse myself in this and not worry about over spraying. Doesn't last long, but at the price point, I'm not even mad about it. Really enjoy this bottle.
I do have to mention I feel like mosquitos avoid me while wearing this which is a huge plus.

yy123

Citrus, green tea, and white musk. Pleasant skin scent with slight sweetness. I prefer the body products because they have less of the synthetic citrus and less musk.

bobecca

A great, simple, fresh fragrance.

To me this smells like a day at the spa. Perfect for hot, humid weather when you want a burst off coolness. Very citrusy beginning, with a more aromatic dry down. Performance is ehhh, but you get what you pay for. Sillage is ok right after the spray, and longevity is not long.

MildÈdes

This perfume is sooo fresh and clean. I dont think its very sweet, but more warm spicy. It is very mild and light at the same time, nicely balanced. The citruses and the green tea make such a fresh combination. Its amazing on a hot summer day and its very nostalgic. Highly recommend for young women.

rachelv

I had this in the 90s. One of my everyday scents. It's not very strong, not intrusive in an office. You will never be accused of wearing perfume that is too strong or headache inducing if you wear this. It's a pleasant, mild yet detectable fragrance. I drink green tea a lot and to me, the green tea isn't very strong in this perfume. I smell the citrusy florals more, and to me, very little ambery sweetness. Over time it becomes a generic, indescript but pleasant perfumey smell with hardly any green tea smell. Compared to modern popular perfumes which tend to veer sweet in scent, this is quite different. It smells quite unique, until the initial hit of green tea florals dies away within an hour or so. Longevity has always been very poor for this scent, but a 30ml bottle here in UK costs less than a tenner, so spritz away as often as needed! I'm in the mid 40s and mother of 3 adult and teen children, so it's understandable people here comment it smells of their mum 😅

Deliza1997

Very fresh and clean scent. I use it after shower and it makes me feel cleaner. Don't use it outside though. The smell is little old school and mature, reminds me of my mom when I was a kid.Very summer friendly.

ScentedPianist

High quality for a low price? Yes.
Fluorescent, radiant and luminous green tea for a couple of euros is extraordinary!
Forever a summer staple of mine.

nyssy

It's honestly just okay. The lasting power was just okay. The scent was just okay. Everything about it was just okay. It's probably your safest bet for a fragrance but the notes are just so bland to me.

hminh.nguyen

Edit 10/26/23: I have to come back to make it up to this fragrance, because after a few use it is not that bad! I got past my bias over green tea scent, and it no longer remind me of detergent but a fresh cologne. No comment on its longevity haha, but it's good as something to freshen yourself up

10/20/23 01:36
I wanted to like this fragrance so much, but not only does it have no strength but all I can get is green tea mouthwash, green tea toothpaste, or even dishwashing liquid! It's a bright and clean smell, but it leans so much to the soapy, detergent side that it's irritating to my nose. I was expecting dried green tea scent, or that whiff you get from a pot of green tea, but this was far from it. I might just use it as a room freshener :(

didilinlun

lemon green iced tea, citrusy, with some subtle masculine cologney notes in the back and drydown - that made me conflicted about it, but nonetheless i used it up.
on first spritz: very refreshing, tart, zesty and not that sweet, with a metallic bitterness to it, like tannins in tea. it's sour, green but not overly herbaceous and aromatic, and with the generic mens' perfume base barely noticeable. it doesn't have that good of a longevity; in about an hour or so, it becomes a skin scent and that shaving foam-like note comes through, blended with the dulled green-ness of tea.
i would've loved it to bits if it was sweeter and had a lighter base, like a white or yellow floral, but it delivers what it promises and i can't say anything bad about it on that matter, except for the longevity factor - a nice tea perfume, for approximately one hour, after which it dwindles away.

iheomagu

I got gifted this when I bought a bunch of perfumes from my favorite perfume vendor. I adore this scent. It's fresh and citrusy. Something I didn't think I'd like since I'm a gourmand girl and just trying now to expand my scent palate. My only grouse is that it doesn't last long at all and that's a shame cos it's a perfect scent for a hot day. It serves as my gym scent now because I can smell good but not worry about choking up others.

raaathead

This has my vote for the best y2k fragrance. To me, it's a photorealistic scent of an ice cold SoBe Green Tea in the glass bottle circa 2004. It encapsulates the cool girl vibe of the late 90s and early 00s.

If this perfume performed a little better, it would easily be a love instead of a like. The scent is very fleeting, but it does last a little better on clothes and hair than it does on the skin. It's super affordable (and almost always on sale at Marshall's or TJ Maxx), but I'm too lazy to be bothered to re-spray every couple hours.

chri5tin3

Not even worth purchasing as I can't see a single use for this "fragrance". It's too short lived and too light for anyone to even notice you're wearing anything. I have deodorants that are stronger and longer lasting.

Sillykn

A beautiful complex citrus tea scent. It has really poor performance that makes it not even worth the low price for me. I put it on after a shower or before bed to get the bottle empty but I swear it barely lasts five minutes.

Would maybe work as a gym scent because it would certainly not bother anyone else.

Esmeeparfume

At my gym in amsterdam we have marie stelle maris products there is a scent called something amsterdam.. I like the scent but the products are expensive and there is no perfume just shampoo etc. I sprayed this on at the airport and its spot on that smell but way less expensive. Im a fan! Its not very strong and doesnt last super long depends on your body i guess for me it lasts about 4 hours if i overspray a little

Moein_Ashraf

This fragrance is beautiful and lovely . In my opinion, it's Eau de Toilette, not Eau de Perfume . It's somewhat similar to Creed Silver Mountain Water . Good as air freshener . Durability is low . The smell of green tea is dominant note . 🍃

strawberriepeach

The scent is very zingy, zesty and fresh, but as it dries down it has a warmer honey note in my opinion. It has an aquatic quality to it also. Not a very convincing green tea smell, but I can see where it's coming from. The longevity is not amazing but the bottle is easy enough to carry around in a handbag and respray every few hours to keep very fresh.

ingrid.superstar

I get green tea, yes, but overall this is more of a woodsy lemon with hints of celery. It’s so atmospheric and straightforwardly citrusy that I prefer to spray it in rooms (on curtains, upholstery, bedding) rather than on myself.

EA Green Tea is like the scent of new clothes (something bespoke, fresh, and slightly artificial?) from a white, bright, airy, minimalist boutique that offers yoga on Saturday mornings, the scent still lingering after you’ve brought the clothes home and put them in the wardrobe…

Lovaloo

The first few times I tried this, it smelled like brewed green tea vapors. After smelling many other perfumes, my perception has changed and it no longer conveys a realistic green tea effect.

Citruses, with nondescript white and green florals, a minty note, a watery, cucumber-melon type of note, and clean musks. A metallic off-note from the rhubarb, but it burns off quickly. This DNA is 90s in style; aquatic, clean, diaphanous, minimalistic. It doesn't last long, maybe 40 minutes, and it's a soft skin scent. Would make a good bathroom/linen spray.

Completely unisex. Dated, but few will notice it's dated, people still wear this style of scent all the time. Basically a Jo Malone release at a reasonable price point. If you like the scent, apply on your clothing rather than your skin, it will last longer and projection is the same.

v0n

First spray is too sharp for me, smells like a bug spray but wait for about 3 min. and voila you're a walking lemon unsweetened iced tea. Definitely refreshing!!! Longevity and sillage is extremely poor, I don't even think it last for an hour unless you sprayed it all over clothes. But for $15, why would I complain? It's exactly what I need when I just simply want to feel cool on hot summer days without smelling fruity or gourmand. 😊

deadxxxmoon

Very fresh, green and citrusy. It's a "safe" scent to blind buy. Perfect for the summer season when you don't want to wear something too rich or heavy. My only complaint is that it's only noticeable for 0.05 seconds and then poof. Gone lol.

w0ewe

My mom had this as a gift and i could smell it while i was like 10 feet away, its a really cool and refreshing, but mature and serious scent, it is really the definition of the color dark green/mint (Or at least it reminds me of it)

merlotwinez

dry down smells like green tea but idk… it’s not that good and it’s not calming at all.

jaejaejae

pleasant and fresh. not too long lasting or overpowering. it's a good gym scent or a daytime errand scent i would say. it is also very affordable which is always a plus. i do wish the mint came through a little more strongly, but overall i definitely like this one and i'm perfectly satisfied with my purchase.

vintages

The smell reminds me of sweet Instant Lemon-Tea Granules (which is just a way to describe a smell, without rating it bad or good). A fresh scent. No synthetic vibes.

magoripple

The first few minutes after I spray this are heavenly. Warm, green, sunny tea paired with soft, juicy citrus... unfortunately it becomes less warm and more harsh afterwards. Harsh and bitter part of this fragrance that reminds me of cleaning product when I smell it from the bottle or when I catch whiffs of it from my wrists. However that part never appears when it's really warm or humid, so this works best on a really hot, humid summer day. Projection is intimate-to-moderate, but it only lasts for a couple hours.
I like the same-but-different flankers of this line. The similar bottles and cheap prices give them a collectable quality.
The plastic cap isn't a good idea. Mine is cracked on one side D: So I have to display the bottle on its non-cracked side.
I do like this perfume despite the harshness of it. It needs to be worn on specific times or the day and year imo. The cheap price (usually 20 usd or under) makes for a good gift if you want to move on from BBW body sprays but don't want to run your wallet dry.

suzanne_ronald

The Original GREEN-TEA. Signed by master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, this beauty opens with a trio of citruses (lemon, bergamot, orange-peel) accented by mint and rhubarb, with citrus, tart & fresh tones. That continues & deepens into the floral heart led by a citrus-y grape-leaning jasmine & carnation, suspended by oakmoss and underpinned by white-amber. This all rests on a green-tea base with fresh-spicy hints aplenty, including fennel, caraway & celery seed. This was groundbreaking at the time of release in 1999, and today has become a classic.

Contrast to Fraicheur Vegetale Thé Vert Yves Rocher:
These are similar but not the same. Both have a prominent green-tea vibe, but FVTV has a more forward green accord, while Green Tea EA has a more forward citrus accord. Roughly equivalent performance or slightly better for FVTV.

Contrast to Wulóng Chá Nishane:
These are similar but not the same. Both have a prominent green-tea vibe, and while Green Tea EA has a fruity accord, it's more forward in Wulóng Chá. Wulóng Chá outperforms.

Contrast to Aqua Media Cologne Forte Maison Francis Kurkdjian:
These are different, but there are striking similarities. Both are composed by Francis Kurkdjian and have a prominent green-tea vibe with fennel, but AMCF has a more forward anise note and outperforms.

Contrast to Valentino Donna Rosa Verde:
These are different, but there are remarkable similarities. Both are green-tea dominant scents, but Green-Tea Elizabeth Arden has a faint perfume-y vibe (when compared side-by-side) and slightly more forward fruity quality, while Valentino Donna Rosa Verde has a more forward lemon-y-rose-geranium and outperforms.

Contrast to Un Jardin Sur Le Nil Hermes:
These are different, but both have a prominent green-tea vibe. UJSLN is more of a complex green-tea (tea notes being evoked by bulrushes), with a more forward tropical accord and an opening tomato leaf note, UJSLN outperforms.

Overall: gorgeous, classic refreshing green-tea scent that was the inspiration for many other scents, with light performance that improves to average when layered over its matching body lotion. I'm a longtime fan of this scent. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

ro_ro_123

Green Tea is such a satisfying fragrance, and to my nose it really does capture the innate green-freshness of freshly brewed green tea.

I always like to spray something light when I go for a walk, it was raining here in Auckland this morning so I opted for Green Tea, and wearing it in the rain was almost a spiritual experience, so zen.

I sprayed liberally about 2.5 hours ago and can definitely still smell it. Subtle but present in just the right way.

I will always have a bottle of Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden in my collection. A true gem.

SnowIce

This is a masterpiece and a classic. When I first got to know it, it seemed a bit like I had bought a standard lemon scent, which was no more amazing than that. But Green Tea revealed its elegant and well-constructed composition and had me enraptured. The fragrance is suitable for everyday use, but that doesn't stop the absolutely sophisticated structure of the scent from revealing itself. It lasts for hours, especially when sprayed on clothes. It is a softly soothing and comforting, very intimate fragrance. I keep coming back to it.

The13thHour

Green Tea is everything you probably think it would be judging off the name, the bottle and the fragrance notes. It's a very fresh and aromatherapy-type of fragrance. It's bright, crisp and calming. I reach for this when I want to have a spa day or if I am not feeling well. It's light and not very long lasting but this is great if you are like me who suffers from seasonal allergies off and on but still want to wear a perfume. This is it!

InnaSha

Light fresh green tea scent. Very refreshing during hot summer days. Wish it lasted longer. Somehow on my skin it gets slightly creamy on the dry down.

Efrosini

If you want this to last, spray on your clothes or hair. It will last all day. The skin somehow “eats” it.
At first I didn’t think much of it; it was pretty generic, a fresh shampoo for me. Now it’s been a few days and I’m causally using this, being pretty satisfied with what I’m smelling.
The freshness is really coming through to me now. Mainly at the beginning. A few hours later it’s a bit sweeter and aromatic.
It’s alright.

5hiraeth

It's just a typical green tea scent, but slightly cheap-smelling. It's not suitable to spray too much, as it may give off a synthetic fragrance impression. Considering the price, it's still worth trying as an entry-level perfume.

Smell : 6~6.5/10 - Just ok
Performance : 6/10
Uniqueness : 6/10
Longevity : (Only tested it on a test paper, so I can't comment)
Sillage : (Same)
Value : 8/10 - good value
Personal score : 6.5/10

SentsMemory

As someone with a soft spot for soapy smells, this was a disappointment. Yes, there is soap there, however its more of the detergent/dish soap/shampoo quality. Almost of an unfragranced detergent where you only smell the chemicals with no pleasant masking fragrance.

Just pure undiluted solvents and sulfates - with no green tea anywhere to be found.

Adiii

SOAP 🧼 LITERALLY. Can’t complain because of the price

OloraGolosina

This is my second blind buy, the 100ml bottle was £10.00 so to be honest, I can't complain about it too much, It smells exactly like cold green tea with lemon, no sugar, no honey, it stays that way from the opening through the dry down, It is a summer fragrance, on a hot day, you appreciate the refreshing quality of the mint. This is almost like a body splash, i think it lasts for one hour, maybe two, before I have to reapply, because of the price point, I don't mind doing it, projection is decent and believe it or not, you will be noticed, in a good way. The smell is soft and pleasant, you can wear this during your summer holiday abroad, as you won't be mad if you lose it or break it by accident. I really enjoy most of Elizabeth Arden's fragrances, I think they all are so different and they serve a purpose in our perfume shelf, the best part is that they are super affordable. I think I have learnt that it is ok to blind buy as long as the fragrances are £15 or less, this is a good fragrance to fill in the void whilst you save money for your more expensive fragrance. I wouldn't buy it again though.

mamaMerci3

This is a super refreshing fragrance...wonderful for extremely hot days. Many reviews complain about the sillage, but I think it sits close because its clean and refreshing. I do pair this with Tres Jour by Armaf to add more depth. That fragrance also has a green tea note, so the combo is lovely.

mapnr

bought b.c of MFK + acqua media , definitely smells like a less-refined version of that. longevity is bad

Scentsibility85

This scent is so easy going on a hot summer’s day. You can get this scent to last all day by spraying at least 20x all over and layering this with the honey drops body cream or a similar scent product.

bregnic

lovely and fresh, but literally disappears after 10 seconds. This is not an exaggeration, it literally lasts seconds on skin. The price might be low but its still not worth it.

Ms.Dove

When i blind bought this one, I was expecting more tea-like warm smell, in a sense of beverage. However, this one smells like a tea plant. It is sharp and the bergamot/lemon note is almost overpowering when you initially spray it on your skin. Still loved it though. It is refreshing and perfect for sunny days.

ipuks3

Burvīgs,atsvaidzinošs aromāts karstā vasaras dienā. Nav pārāk noturīgs,bet tas ir forši jo vari to atjaunot vai izmantot kādu citu aromātu. Man patīk šī svaiguma sajūta. Labi noder kad vienlaicīgi gribi un negribi sajust kādu aromātu uz savas ādas.

KataK

Was a like at first sniff, but after having for a bit I grew tired of it. It's not that I didn't like it, more that I prefer something a bit less generic. I'm glad I had it to know that this isn't it for me. The scent very clean and smells like a soap that you'd buy at B&BW.

Kozache

Like it, looking for new similar but with more trendy notes.

Notedecoeur

Everyone and their mother had this perfume at some point ;)
Nothing wrong with it, it's just very generic, fresh, predictable and not very sexy, but maybe it was 'something new' when it first came out. I'm quite surprised it has been composed by Francis Kurkdjian too.

NecessaryExistence

Great out of the shower. At least 10 sprays. Feels relaxing, reminds me of a fresh, crisp rainy night. I smell mint, citruses, tea, slight florals and a touch of musk. As a man, I’d say this is unisex and definitely not outdated.

katiejon

This fragrance is a timeless classic. Huge in 1999 and the early 00’s and it still stands out. Clean and fresh, while still having a warmth to it. It’s scent has a relaxing effect. Phenomenal.

On my skin it last a few hours and sits close to me. Others enjoy this one without feeling choked out by it.

Yes, there are those that turn their nose up at this fragrance because it’s 24 years old - but remember, Francis Kurkdijian is the guy who created it and people are spending hundreds of dollars for his fragrances today. Same guy, same nose, same talent.

LynneFaubert

Here I was, buying decants of pricey perfumes like Baccarat and Delina (pass), or Gris Charnel and Blanche bête (swoon). Then I discovered that the bottle of Green Tea on my commode, which has been my only drugstore standby, was by FK. Wonder never cease. This is a fresh, spa scent. Unlike some here, this does exhale green tea on me all the way, a peaceful almost skin scent perfect for bedtime or quiet weekend mornings. Recommend.

lilypadflowers

I recently tried MFK's new release, Aqua Media, and fell in love with how sparkling and fresh it was. But, at $200+ a bottle, I just couldn't justify the purchase for the longevity.

Good thing Francis Kurkdjin is the nose behind Elizabeth Arden Green Tea and the notes are so dang similar to Aqua Media! Green Tea is not a total dupe, but it pushes all the same buttons for me as MFK. It doesn't have quite the same sparkling quality that MFK Aqua Media does, but it's got the same AC cooling freshness, heavy on the citrus. Other reviews have called this green tea lemonade, but to me this leans almost into a lemon and green tea gin fizz garnished with a sprig of mint and a lemon twist. No real sweetness, just fresh, airy, and bright. I love the herbaceous, green quality this takes on as it dries down and the citrus fades. A quintessential summer fragrance that I can see myself wearing on warm days, to the pool, to the gym, to the office, puttering around running errands... anywhere really.

Lasting power is light to moderate on my body chemistry, and the scent sits fairly close to the skin. I'm usually a 1-3 spray MAX kind of gal, but I'll happily give Green Tea a quick spritz on both wrists, the crook of both elbows, and one behind my neck for good measure, and find 5 sprays to be just about perfect. It's a little air freshener-y at first, but mellows within like 5-10 minutes.

Can't imagine paying retail for it, but it's a steal for $15 at TJ Maxx/Marshalls.

neogio

This perfume is cute and very refreshing. I sampled this perfume for my sister, as I wear almost exclusively gourmands and Green Tea didn't appeal to me on notes alone, but I liked it! To me it was like an ice cold glass of iced green tea with lemon and maybe a sprig of mint. Not fancy green tea, just the cheap bagged stuff from the grocery store. If this came in an oil format, I would definitely get it for her; aerosolized perfumes irritate her nose. I may have to try Al Rehab's green tea after seeing the comparisons.

I sampled this on a 95 degree day in the thick of Arizona summer heat and this really is a nice, refreshing summer scent. I may go back for this at some point in the future; it's frequently at Marshalls or TJ Maxx for $15. I could see myself wearing this to the pool, or to somewhere professional.

Faellen

Green tea and sharp lemons! Fresher than fresh! Crisper than.... crisp!

I'll admit, I'm not usually a freshie person at all, but sometimes I just need something that isn't going to make me feel sick and suffocated in the summer heat. This is that something!
Of course, it doesn't last long, but that's to be expected with something so citrus forward. It's crazy cheap though, so just spray with abandon!

cellarspider

I really don't get "tea" from this whatsoever - at least, in the "fresh brewed green tea" sense. I suppose it might pass for a citrusy, sweet lipton iced tea. But really, it makes me think of spray-and-wipe. I see how some might like to quickly spritz this to freshen up, but it's not for me.

Leila22920

I will have to accept the fact that lemon-heavy freshies are just not for me. I’ve wanted to like Light Blue and Un jardin sur le Nil (both gifted) forever but their acidity on my skin makes me feel nauseous. I only ever like them when it’s scorching hot outside.

I saw FK was the nose behind this and I was curious to test it and it’s a beautiful freshie. It’s watery, green and smelling it cools you down like an AC (incredible isn’t it?). It smells of green tea or that delicious iced green tea you’ve been nursing to cool you down. Disappears relatively quickly too but at that price point, who cares? Just buy a 30mL and spray away every few hours.

sakecat22

Straightforward green tea and lemonade. Blissfully missing the laundry / shampoo musks commonly used in this type of scent. Lasts about an hour on me. Perfect for the gym.

Lanascola

This is a recent purchase of mine and it is most surely a proud one. A true classic in the perfume world. The scent is fresh and bright with a perfect balance of citrus and floral notes that is good enough to want to drink. The best perfume for days where you're not looking for a strong scent that blows people's socks off but rather a scent that refreshes and uplifts you. The ideal fragrance for running errands or the gym, even for work.

7.5/10

pronose

This is a true unisex fragrance for summer heats! I love it ❤️

n87

Fresh, light, citrusy green tea. Great for a fresh out the shower fragrance. Performance isn't the best, but it's ridiculously cheap, and I like to layer this with other citrus type fragrances. Al rehab's green tea oil layers great with this.

Jefferson_starkid

Clean, light, inoffensive, fresh, and a little less 'sharp' than Elizabeth Arden's White Tea. Absolute delight in a bottle for a hot summer day. Longevity is surprisingly good, but it's a close to the skin scent. I am simply in love with this. This will be my 'working from home in summer' perfume.

AnitaHendricks

This perfume is perfect after taking a shower! It's fresh, light and clean. I don't mind wearing it while I'm in pajamas or before I'm off to bed; it's not offensive at all. The green tea note isn't bitter; it's juicy, like green iced tea. It's great when it's hot outside!

cawico7

It's a classic for any day hotter than 80 degrees. It's been said times and times that it's the epitome of freshness: just cold citrusy green tea on your skin. Nothing more, nothing less.

However there's a tip - if you find yourself always running out of it sooner than expected, get the body & hair fragrance mist instead of the EDT. Both have pretty bad longevity, but if you have to reapply throughout the day - better get the same thing but in a bigger bottle.

TDSollog

Do you want a Francis Kurkdjian creation for the fraction of the price of MFK?
Look no further. This is a refreshing citrus tea fragrance that's fantastic for warm weather.
I picked up a 3.3 oz at TJMaxx for $15. Worth it, and then some!

woobiewooooo

Nice and clean smelling. In my opinion, the tea in this fragrance isn't like a freshly brewed green tea, but more like the citrusy tea of a bottle of iced Lipton tea. Almost syrupy! Perfect for spring and summer

Cmlake89

This is scent is so pleasant and unassuming. If you can enjoy a cup of fresh green tea I feel like you could enjoy this fragrance. It really does feel that universal. What an excellent creation of fresh slightly sweet green tea!

perfumeandprosecco

Bought this as a blind buy since I was looking for something seasonal and this was a good price. When you first spray it, it's got a lemon cleaner scent tbh. It dries down really nicely though and the jasmine comes out. Don't get musk at all from this; smells very fresh. It's an excellent perfume to layer with floral fresh perfumes. Honestly I don't have regrets buying this considering the price.
Warning: this lasts like 15 min with one spray so you have to spray 2-3 times lolll

loveleen

Smells so effortlessly clean and fresh. Great for spring and summer. I love throwing it on early in the morning when it's still crisp out.

cemeteryfairy

I wore this to work and got 3 compliments in less than half an hour, I didn’t think it was that special, but I guess that makes it a crowd pleaser. Longevity and sillage is fine on me but you also have to overspray a lot, I’m talking like 20 sprays on hair and clothing, to make it last all day. At the end of the day it’s really affordable and I don’t feel bad for over spraying because I know it really can’t be offensive to anyone. Smells a bit like the cheap green tea cucumber hand soap I grew up with but with a lighter, less cloying feel. I usually stay away from masculine scents or fragrances that don’t contain any sugary or vanillic notes but I really like this one and it’s nice to throw on for work and gets compliments every time :)

eefs

In my teens I used to have a green tea body spray from Boots' Natural Collection which is long discontinued. I recently ordered this hoping its would smell the same and I'm delighted with it! It's almost the exact same, this just has added citrus. It's also so cheap it doesn't matter how often you need to reapply! I got a 30ml bottle for about 6 euro, the bottle is slim and easy to stick in a handbag. Thumbs up!

consuelle

I was so suprised how my i like this very cheap scent! Also! reminds me Matcha meditation by maison margiela! somehow it has the same vibe to me

graciedoe

This is a funny one. Firstly, this fragrance is very universal and genderless. To me, I get strong lemon and green tea. Its very spa-like and subtle, but honestly it has no lasting power on my skin. It could be nice for me BUT....

This is literally the scent of cheap hotel shampoo. When I bought this fragrance I couldn't place it but I had this overwhelming feeling that I'd smelled it a hundred times before. Finally I placed it, googled "Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Hotel Shampoo" and voila! Tiny EA bottles being sold on eBay and i recognized them immediately. Im not sure what hotel chain used/uses it, but man is that a distinct scent. I grew up playing travel club sports, played in college, spent so much time in hotels using this stuff.

So I really cant wear it, lol. Will be handing it off to someone in my life that doesn't have as strong of a scent memory as I do.

Clavicula

This was my very first perfume with a sprayer way back in the day. (Had only had solids and rollerballs before that)
For some reason, I have never forgotten this fragrance.
20+ years later I am into very different scents but I picked it up for nostalgia at a cheap price point.

Honestly, it's still a banger! 💣
I will wear this in summer and on days where a lighter fragrance is required.

zenithince

OMG, I'm absolutely in love with Elizabeth Arden Green Tea scent spray! It smells so fresh, clean, and crisp, and yet it's so soft and subtle at the same time. It's like a gentle hug from a friend who just stepped out of the shower. And can we talk about the price? So worth it! I usually splurge on expensive perfumes, but they often end up being huge disappointments. Not Green Tea though, it's pure perfection.

What I love most about this scent is the citrusy notes that just awaken my senses and make me feel alive. And the fact that it's not overpowering is a major plus. I don't like it when a perfume is too strong and gives me a headache. Green Tea is just the right balance of delicate and refreshing.

I mean, I even enjoy re-spritzing myself a few times a day, just to relive that luxurious experience all over again. Honestly, I never thought I would be so obsessed with a scent that's so affordable and unassuming. It just goes to show that sometimes, the best surprises come from unexpected sources. If you haven't tried Green Tea yet, do yourself a favor and give it a spritz!

peachnipz

I like this one. I like that it's not pretentious in any way. The packaging is simple but lovely - outdated? Possibly, but in a 90s nostalgic way. The price point is unbeatable. It's hard to be disappointed in this perfume because it's honest about what it is in its presentation. That being said, I decided to give this one a go because it *always* pops up in my Fragrantica recommendations when I search my favorite notes. As an Acqua di Gioa/Light Blue Eau Intense girl, this is right up my alley. I'm not saying it could compete with those fragrances, but this is a nice scent in the same note family for when you want to take a "day off" from those. Gym, errands, yoga. Someone below said that a person that wears this probably would play tennis - tennis player here, can confirm. ;) I do regard it as more of a body spray than a parfum, but again - I spent $10 on the bottle, I'm not complaining.

Frantheone

This is the perfect fragrance for activities like running errands, doing chores, going to the gym etc but wanting to smell good while doing so. It's refreshing and soothing, so it's also nice for after the shower. It smells way more expensive than it costs and it always makes me feel refreshed and I feel like this is its purpose. A value for money, effortless, clean scent that doesn't pretend to be anything else. Safe blind buy, absolutely worth it if you are looking for something like that.

I get green tea, bergamot, jasmine and one of my recent favorites oakmoss. It's light and I feel like it has a very prominent water element if it makes sense to anyone who's reading.

Even though it's mostly marketed towards women I feel like it leans more towards the unisex category.

If it was a person they would definitely wear white sneakers a lot and probably play tennis.

electricstrike

This is a great clean, fresh, citrus scent. It's one of those "just got out of the shower" vibes that I love. Sadly, it barely lasts on my skin or clothes, and even right after spraying it I can hardly smell it on myself. If the longevity was better I wouldn't mind, but it just fades away instantly :-( Luckily you can get it for cheap and just use it as a body spray.

poodleParty

I owned this about 15 year ago, and I thought it was "just ok". Then I got sick of it, and ended up throwing it out.

I bought it again recently, after finding a 50ml bottle for $12. And it's a lot better than I remembered.

The opening is kinda harsh, like a cleaning spray...but once that settles, it's a refreshing and wearable fragrance, which lasts a few hours. (I get random wafts of it even after 4-5 hours)

The bottle looks VERY outdated, and it would be a lot more appealing if they just rebranded the entire line.

TikiKat

I’m on a quest to find and try EA Green Tea and all of the flankers. Why? I work at a school and need subtle fragrances suitable for a range of sensitivities. I don’t want to leave a trail or bother anyone with bold, controversial scents. Green Tea was recommended, and I was immediately intrigued that there are eleventy billion flankers. Plus, the price is right. Thus, here I am, trying and reviewing all of them. Anyway!

OG Green Tea is a lovely, barely-there scent. There’s pretty much zero projection, but on the plus side it does have moderate lasting power on me. I can smell it, even if no one else can, and sometimes that’s just fine with me. In the dry down, I smell the tea more on my clothes than on my skin, with my skin retaining more of the citrus notes. Overall, this is a like, not a love, but it’s a safe scent that I enjoy getting whiffs of throughout the day.

LooLucius

I really love the scent, but it unfortunately does not last.

anisestarss

absolutely 0 lasting power on the skin, medium on clothes. i spray it on my hair because it smells like a nice shampoo and put something with some oomph on the rest of me. i'm not getting any green tea, it mostly just smells like citrus to me, but it's pretty nice

wo0berry

i was really in love with it last summer, but the alcoholic blast it can give you later after spraying shouldn’t be taken with the grain of salt.
i would consider this a great air freshener if you bought this and hated it later

Dungnp

I actually enjoyed it in my teen. At 19, I smell it again and it was awful. With all due respect to the brand and people who enjoy it, it has the vibe of a bathroom refresher.

NonScents94

My sister used to wear this fragrance and I remember liking it even then. A very nice scent for women. A true classic.

hijoebye

No misleading marketing here - this really does evoke green tea. The base of it is quite herbal and slightly bitter, the citrus notes help it from becoming too medicinal. It feels very nostalgic and comforting, way more sophisticated than its price tag suggests. The scent is fleeting but fully developed, I keep a small bottle in my washroom next to my toiletries and it works very well as a room spray.

jleezlg

wanted to add a review specifically for those seeking byredo gypsy water alternatives like myself. been seeing people recommend this as a cheapie dupe. it’s definitely NOT a dupe, or even similar at all imo, sorry to disappoint. the only similarities would be the citrus opening, but where gwater turns creamy and woodsy and cozy, this stays a screeching citrus assault. kind of like a lemon and tea scented cleaning spray. when i tested this on my arm i felt attacked.

lola911

Such an oldie, but a goodie! For the price, you can't beat it for a fresh, citrus spring-summer scent. The longevity is terrible, but I don't mind respraying due to the price point. I think I got the big bottle at tj maxx for less than $15. Absolutely wouldn't pay retail.

Hifza

It’s very refreshing light minty citrus with a hint of floral. Its my go to fragrance and is perfect for everyday wear. Its longevity is 5-8 hours. However, one can enjoy wearing it day and night.

LaLaLaLeila

Gorgeous. It's like a fresh, slightly spicy and earthy citrus that hits you first and gradually the green tea scent reveals itself over time. It's so fresh and invigorating, but it's also subtle and a bit complex. Definitely recommend. I also feel like men can easily wear this scent if they want something on the lighter, fresher side.

bea777

A true classic, a fresh and sunny fragrance. This scent reminds me of an expensive moisturiser or opening the pack to a face mask. I like having this in my collection to throw into my bag during the spring/summer or for work

FataMorgain

This is a great perfume. A classic that won't die. Perfect for all ages, it can even be used by men because of the freshness and opennes it gives. Perfect for a pool party or a walk on the beach. It really gives long walks at a fashionable beach. HOWEVER, it doesn't last very long. It's a shame because it smells great without being overwhelming.

abbieclark67

On a steamy summer day, it is warmly refreshing. So easy. but such a sophisticated scent. The perfume of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea body spray is crisp, clean, fresh, and delicate. Beautiful green tea exists. I adore lemon, and I adore how its crisp, fresh tendrils enliven my senses. It has eternal longevity and is gentle and mild. This scent is a masterpiece, and I adore it in every way!

likesleet

so fresh light citrus. refreshing & liquid like a cool drink or dip in a pool.

dudulisicous

Fresh and sparkling. Like iced lemony green tea on a hot summer day!! I find it to be absolutely refreshing and mood boosting. It replicates the feeling of splashing in to a cold pool on a hot summer's day. I don't care that I have to reapply during the day, it is worth it!!!!

LizDee007

My heart💔I simply ADORE this fragrance! HOWEVER..🥺It does not last long! Thirty minutes TOPS! Constantly have to spray to replenish.

But if this isn’t a dealbreaker, I highly recommend to try this clean and aromatic light scent. It’s fresh, clean, and cozy🥰Francis Kurkdijian did an amazing job creating this fresh out the shower/bath fragrance. On me, I definitely get the green tea and citrus and dry down gives me slight minty lime, very aromatic🥰🥰But next thing you know, it’s gone! For the price, I expect it..No worries. I will still repurchase once done. My main usage is for bed🥰Hope this helps🫶🏾

NamertBaykus

Citrus and tea. Doesn't last much. Should be reapplied frequently throughout the day. Not my cup of tea to be fair but gave it as a gift to a friend and she seemed to love it so can't say it's bad I guess?

Fashionplatefanny

It’s a pleasant, refreshing summer spritz. It last all but 5 minutes though and then it’s gone!! It has a cool, watery lemon citrus, minty, green tea quality, with a subtle hint of floral. I pick up on the carnation and not the jasmine. It’s like a refreshing tall glass of ice tea with ice cubes in the heat of summer.

I like this for exercise, walking outside and it would be an ideal gym scent as it’s not suffocating or over powering, it will keep you smelling fresh and pleasant. I also enjoy this around the house just to smell fresh.

I think it’s been reformulated. I remember when I was in my early twenties working at the perfume counters and this fragrance would nauseate me, it was very pungent on the celery seed (I actually thought it was coriander). It was very heavy and suffocating for a summer green tea scent and I would recoil every time I had to spray it but now in my 40’s I find this to be very refreshing and more citrusy, minty green tea.

GrenadeGirl

I have been wearing this for over 20 years and would not be with out it! It us my go-to spring and summer scent, it is so fresh and happy and lifts my spirits.

It is just light, simple, green, clean, beautiful and utterly timeless!

millybadison

It's delightful. Brightens my mood. The green tea is what I notice upfront, but then it warms up to a very comforting and light clean/subtly sweet scent. I found it for $10 at TJ Max and I'm really happy it! I don't think I would pay more than that for it.

doya

It's ok, but it has a deodorant vibe, if you know what I mean. It's ok when going for a walk during the day or to the store, but for a bigger occasion I wouldn't choose this one. And it's very weak, short lasting, maybe I didn't spray enough.

natasha calli

This is a wonderful scent. A pleasant fragrance. The only problem I have with this is the fact that it smells like an air freshener after a period of time.
However this citrusy scent is wonderful in the summer as well as in the daytime. It can last from morning till afternoon. A true oldy but a goody fragrance. A very nice everyday scent.

katarinamalik

Maybe discovering and wearing this in a winter season makes this classic feel like a green tea with a porcelain finish. If you know that I mean. Otherwise it’s pretty, comforting and inoffensive scent.

banjerine

Mint leaves, lemon rind, cucumber, and fennel muddled into an ice-cold glass of gin tea. Crisp, herbaceous, and genteel; a Renoir lakeside picnic complete with straw hats, discarded lace gloves in the grass, and willow branches swaying in the breeze.

XOXO_marcel

It's fresh and subtle. This one doesn't smell like much of anything, it's more of a feeling than a scent. Personally, I much prefer Elizabeth Arden's White Tea.

cherry★coco

I picked this up on a whim, since it's cheap, I just use it as a room spray.

BlueButterBee

Graceful smell.
Blend of tea leaves with citrusy element a soft mixed of light florals from fresh spring.
It went away quickly like 1 hours or 2.
Sillage is close to body. I used it as a refreshing scent before bed or welcoming the morning. I like wearing this with the A*men Ultimate, the mix of cappucino and tea leaves is heavenly amazing. Like im fresh off a classic coffee and tea house.

I used to call it " The Green Tea Perfume" when my mother had it years ago. And i bought this with no second thoughts when i see it online. It reminds me of my mom.

l0tt3

gosh I love this so much!!! my mum actually bought it for herself. she never wears perfume. she loves green!! she loves green tea, plants, frogs and summer. and this scent is perfect for her. its so affordable and good value!! the RRP is £30 but its on sale for £11 and oh my gosh, its so lovely, light and lemony, really really fresh and addictive. like Arizona green tea it isnt sickly AT ALL, however its quite feminine as its sweet and elegant. like an iced green tea with a slice of lemon and one cube of sugar. absolutely delightful. its a shame I can't wear it as its "her scent" I bought green tea sakura blossom but it smells like laundry detergent, and she called me a copycat. soo perfect for school, or if you dont wear or like perfume but you want to smell nice and clean and pretty. I know this is quite a heavy review for quite a cheap perfume but im just in love.

waywardcalicocat

I wouldn't say that Green Tea is my favorite fragrance, but it is my very first fragrance that was not a body spray/splash, and for that it will always have a special place in my heart. I've bought probably a dozen bottles of it since my teen years, and I keep going back to it. It has wonderful, intimate, inoffensive notes that make it perfect for wearing in an office or school setting. Most of the notes I get from this fragrance are (of course) green tea, jasmine, and oakmoss. I get a little citrus right out of the gate, but it doesn't last long.

medusaodalisque

used up a mini size when travelling through greece in summer. perfect for extremely hot weather - light and zingy, i mainly get the orange peel as well as a mix of mint/green tea leaves. doesn't last long at all but for how inexpensive it is you can spray every few hours with reckless abandon

Gyps

This is lovely and I really like the mint note. It’s fresh and light, a great summer scent. Poor longevity though so that’s a bummer. Not my usual scent type but it’s very nice.

perfumaphile

I think I'm just not a green perfume person; I don't like how this smells at all. I think it smells like a body spray. There isn't any depth to this fragrance; it's very synthetic. I regifted it to someone else thinking they might enjoy it, but I think they now just use it as a room spray. If synthetic fragrances don't bother you, it is pretty affordable, but it's not my cup of "tea."

AdalynEverly

This is SOO ideal for the gym and for the morning. It smells like the classic 90's but still remains not dated in my opinion. The only con I have for this perfume is that you have to overspray, and even then it only lasts for 1 hour. This perfume inspires me to find perfumes that also have that calming tea note, that's very meditative, and leaves me calm during a long hard day of work.

NataliePee

I really wanted to love this line because the notes sound amazing but there’s something ubiquitous in Elizabeth Ardens scents that disagrees with my nose and body chemistry. In theory sounds like a safe blind buy, but I wouldn’t recommend.

adds8

Did I just find my signature summer scent? Yes, I sure did! I never thought I'd want to smell like a cup of fresh herbal green tea with a splash of lemon but this is so me. I'm going to spray this on everything it's so darn affordable. I blind bought the 3.3 oz bottle for $16 from Walmart.

funeralparty

I like how this smells—fresh, clean, and citrusy—but it performs more like a body spray than a perfume. It has never lasted more than half an hour on my skin. The sillage is high shortly after you spray it on but it disappears just as quick. I wish the quality was better because this does smell like real green tea, which is something I’ve been looking for. I would recommend layering it with another green tea scent.

Thalianna

This was my signature scent from my early to mid 20s. It's fresh and green and citrusy. A great scent for summer. I just finished my old bottle and picked up a new one. The season for it is almost over, so I will patiently wait for summer to return to appreciate this scent all over again.

I was shocked to learn the nose behind this is Francis Kurkdjian. That explains the complexity of this scent.

Bloolagoon

I got this for my mum as a present. It reminds me of ckin2u for her. Lasts long and is a good non offensive perfume good as a gift.

wenf

This was my everyday scent in high school (thanks mom). Very fresh and clean, I can see this working on women across different age groups.

The slightly herbal, sweet tea scent makes it unique, and worth a try.

Goggles

This is such a beautiful smelling perfume. It’s very fresh, inoffensive. Easy to wear and good for hot summer days. Too bad it only lasts about 15 minutes on my skin and only up to an hour on my clothing, because again, it’s such a good scent. Although if you have the body cream to pair it with, i’m sure you’d get a lot better lasting power.

The packaging is pretty, but nothing too special. And i definitely recommend this if you like fresh, citrusy, tea scents. But if you want it to last longer, pair it with the body cream!

endge

For years I almost always had this little gem in my colelction, the original and a couple of flankers too. But the original is still the best. It is my go to frag again this summer, simple, but elegant and refreshing for scorchingly hot days and balmy nights. I wear it to be in the garden, to go to the pool, to douse myself liberally with it after shower. It does not last much on body (but does OK on clothes), but you can drench yourself in it (it's that inexpensive) for longer lasting effect and be sure that it won't be overpowering, but will give you a pleasant, cool, green, slightly sweetish, slightly spicy, jasmine-y, lemony zing.

InherentHobby

Very inoffensive smell. Smells a lot more unique on skin. I could see even young people pulling this off, but i would never wear this to any social gathering, job and so on. This would be pretty good for a day at the museum or the park. Describing the scent on skin is hard. It is kinda spicy and herbal smelling, i dont pick up the citrus on skin but when sprayed on a non skin surface the citrus pops out.

shellsybelle

Today I had a 100ml bottle of this on my watchlist for an online auction site I am subscribed to. I had it before when it first came out in a gift set my younger brother purchased for me for Christmas one year. I loved how fresh it smelled on me and promised myself I would purchase a bottle for myself after I had finished it but somehow never got around to it and had moved on to other scents. Today I was looking at my perfume shelf and have Green Tea’s Cherry Blossom sitting there up with Fifth Avenue, Red Door, Provocative Woman, Passion and some of my ‘cheaper’ scents (they are quite affordable in New Zealand).

I got this again as I loved how it played with my skin. Fresh, spicy, floral, even a touch of gourmand. It had all the qualities of a scent I enjoy in one bottle. I didn’t smell musk on me though. Over the years I have moved on to more ‘mature’ scents but have grabbed the odd playful ones like Pink Sugar and some of the Juicy Couture range. I’m also finding I am gravitating towards scents like Green Tea that I have had before and wanting to try them out again. This scent will be perfect for summer as it’s light and breezy and definitely not overpowering. It holds quite well on my skin and I love how I can purchase it again without it blowing my budget. I’m looking forward to receiving my bottle and remembering how much I enjoyed this perfume all over again.
