Kenzo Amour Le Parfum by Kenzo is a Amber fragrance for women. Kenzo Amour Le Parfum was launched in 2008. The nose behind this fragrance is Daphné Bugey. Top notes are Incense and Rice; middle notes are Frangipani and Patchouli; base notes are Vanilla, Benzoin and Amber.

Kenzo Amour Le Parfum was launched in autumn, after the very successful original perfume Kenzo Amour from 2006 and its fresher, floral successor Kenzo Amour Indian Holi from 2008.

Golden Orient inspired creators of the new edition Kenzo Amour Le Parfum to enrich this fragrance with characteristic, accentuated aromas of patchouli, benzoin from Siam and woody accords rounded with amber and incense. The heart of this perfume still carries its recognizable aromas: frangipani flower, vanilla, rice... This version brings significantly more oriental scents than its antecedents. Perfumer of the new edition is Daphne Bugey of Firmenich.

The new perfume arrives in a characteristic bottle, but this time in matte gold nuances, in amount of 30 and 50 ml EDP.

Selling my bottle in the US, feel free to PM me if interested! :)

Can anyone recommend a dupe for this please! I'm desperate to try it but it's unavailable in Australia. Thank you!

OfTheValley

This is amongst the most beautiful, intoxicating perfumes ever created in the history of perfumery.
I am a big Amour fan, but this! This is a masterpiece!
It's an amber benzoin concoction, combined with the usual airy rice note and an incense twist: still very Japanese, very elegant, not loud.
I wish this wasn't discontinued: I tried Dirty Rice by BTSO and it's literally a bad copy of this scent, for 4 times the price.
My only consolation is that I found a close enough dupe for it, and I will stock up bottles: this scent is on a weekly rotation, I cannot imagine a life without it!

It's my first day wearing this scent and within the first 15 minutes of being out I've already received a compliment ♡ This fragrance embodies classic elegance, but has the playful and unique elements from the original Amour. I have never been a huge amber/benzoin fan, as upon initial sprays these notes typically dominate. But after spraying Le Parfum on, these notes subside quickly and allow for the vanilla and incense to shine through. After about 30 minutes you will smell the warm rice note and it transforms into something amazing. As a huge fan of Kenzo Amour, I had to try this version and I was not disappointed. It is definitely very different from the original in a more mature sense but that's why I love it.

Note:I only spray this where the sides of my neck meet to the underneath of my hair, as I do with most of my heavier scents, so projection is very minimal on me. I’m a very warm person who loves hugs so I feel like that matters in some weird way, what seems cozy to me might seem sexy or even formidable to others. The rice note in this smells like rice pudding and not rice powder, so a teeny bit sweet to balance the warm spicy, little amber/vanilla note and slight incense smoke. With me it melts into my skin and makes it feel like my skin is blushing and just a bit hotter, after an hour it’s absolutely neck-nuzzling. Perfect inside a scarf.

If anyone is selling this please pm me I’ll buy it!

Ferra_Verto

A simple yet beautifully smoky vanilla. Benzoin adds a rich depth that keeps it warm and engaging for its life.
Lasts around 8 hrs on my skin, lingers for days on clothes.
Best in the cold weather.

*loves_shoes*

Stunning incense and warm sweet vanilla. Has the rice vibe of the original. Benzoin adds a richness but it’s not hugely medicinal, just creates depth to the dry down. And it lasts all day.
Sadly long gone. Grab one if you see one!

Where have you been..all my life...all my li-iii-fe and the song goes on. For a strange reason, Kenzo perfumes came to my life very early but never had the chance to appreciate them enough. I must mention that one of my cousines used to wear a lot of them since she loves the rise/powder-y character they have. I guess I love it too and the funny part is that when I smell one of them, she comes immediately on my mind, plus, I thought that this 'Barbie doll' smell was her natural body odor.

Last time I flew, 10 days ago, I decided to pass from Kenzo's shelf as I had a lot of free time. What a mistake, now I have to buy one of their creations for sure cause I don't have anything similar to my collection. I am afraid the ones I smelled like Flower EDP & EDT or Amour EDP are already reformulated, same bottle/name but kind of different 'juice'. I have experienced this to many of my favorite perfumes and it f-ing hurts!!! If someone reaches reading till here, please make me a favor and send me a PM. I would really appreciated it before putting an order on. I've read people saying that Amour is reformulated or that there's a new bottle. The one I smelled was in the dark purple bottle (I guess the original EDP). The bottles of Flower editions had the the 'new' stickers on and the notes written too. I think I shouldn't even mention that Amour Le parfum is already gone once & forever.

Anyway, I ended up with a generous sample of Amour Le parfum, that's why I am here and I agree with all of you saying it smells similar to the very first EDP, just a bit more dark/serious/simple/less powdery, it's amber or my personal opinion. In their official website, the dark purple bottle is still available, I know I should have comment in EDP's page too in case someone can give me her/his lights but it would be annoying. I hope that a big fan of Le parfum edition will reach my review. So, that creamy, slightly milky, musky, powdery aura with a touch of incense is a killer. I am sure it would be better in warmer climates but maybe a warm hug in winter days. I can't say a lot. You have to experience it and it's unique. The only thing that dissapoints me is that compared to the original EDP it ends up a bit soapy but thank God after so many hours that I don't even care. After testing Flower EDP & Amour EDP, I was so happy to return and re-test or even apply on skin but for a moment, my mind played a game and I thought that these smells are fitting more to older ages, nurses, that vibe that Insolense by Guerlain gives? Mature but for a strange reason addictively charming? For sure when talking about the original Kenzo EDP or Le Parfum, we talk about a must try delight or 'caress your soul'.

chinna

Delicious ...nothing to do with firs Kenzo amour.

Kitt3nReturns

Smokey vanilla heaven. Like a modern shalimar. Deserves a prettier bottle though imo.

zoebo1403

Gorgeous scent... i have a bottle available if anyone is interested: [email protected]

This looked like everything I ever wanted; vanilla, benzoin, warm, smoky, amber. I looked everywhere for a sample and couldn't find anything. I finally caved and bought a full bottle- blind buy.

It is nice, and I love the base. But, I'm not really feeling the spiciness/smokiness- even though it is extremely subtle.

I'm going to have to put it back on ebay (with about 40 other perfumes) when I have time.

When will I learn...

Blackorchardes

This has got to be one of my favorite cold weather scents. It is warm, alluring, sexy, sweet, and utterly enticing. The element of vanilla and rice pudding are a perfect component in how this dries down. It does project, but I have never experienced a negative reaction. When I am near, men seem to ooze interest and find a reason to get closer. Upon meeting a friends new boyfriend for the first time, I gave him a friendly 'welcome to the family' hug. I was a bit surprised that once he was close enough to smell this on me, he pulled me in tightly to his body and not so subtly burried his face in my neck. When I pulled away, he locked eyes with me and was adamant to tell me that I smelled AMAZING. This was done in front of my friend (his new girlfriend). Be warned, this fragrance is a man trap. Please know that this isnt a sickening sweet parfum, nor is it at all cloying. It is incredibly well balanced in regard to its resinous base notes and layers of vanilla and rice. There is no teeny-bopper, cotton candy, sugary sweet effect here. But more so a true gourmand element of mouth watering delicacy and delight. I promise this will create an aura of sheer pleasure and sex appeal that most current parfums on the market cannot deliver. This is powerful, yet subtle. Mysterious and unique. It is simply addictive.

UnearthlyApothecary

This isn’t much stronger or more intense then the original (to me anyway) just slightly different. And by slight I mean there really isn’t enough of one to merit owning both perfumes. Instead of a musky base we have amber and patchouli. I love the soft dreamy powdery original version with a hint of incense. The incense may be stronger here, it’s really hard to tell.

Ayama

Again, blind buy.. I have to stop doing this.. It is a beautiful perfume, but it's just way too strong for me Lasts long. I would like to do a swap. If interested, DM me please and check on my want list. CONUS

invisiblewoman

Va-Va-Voom!!! Wow. This is amazing. It's like Amour on steroids. This is a vanilla, benzoin, balsamic beauty. I love that the rice pudding note is still there and even intensified. I adore this perfume! I'm going to buy a couple of back up bottles post haste before this gorgeous perfume vanishes. I recommend you do the same :) This is absolutely enchanting.

chrysalis99

This is one of the scents that I crave the most. It is sweet and comforting at the same time that it is exotic and mysterious. I am laughing because I think I just bought your bottle for sale (I must have a back up) on Ebay Craftymaya!:)

craftymaya

I love Kenzo Amour, which is a soft and powdery vanilla-rice scent. I read all the good reviews about "Le Parfum" and blind bought a bottle as I wanted a better longevity and a stronger scent. Well, it's very strong !!! The vanilla-benzoin-smoke-patchouli combo gets you a great sillage, incredible longevity, but a SUPER strong fragrance. You can tell it is a great quality perfume, for mature women...but too much for me. Selling my brand new bottle!

Madrona

Certainly both creamier and smokier than the original, which seems rather sheer in comparison. The frangipani and patchouli add a bit of sour-floral-greenness to prevent the composition from going full gourmand, while the incense keeps it oriental. Lovely.

mocha43

Beautiful, unique scent. It is intense but not headache inducing or anything like that. Just a full, rich fragrance. I bought a back up bottle when I saw it was discontinued. The bottle is just gorgeous.

shushkin

Wow! What a delicious vanilla /frangipani gourmand. Lets be honest and admit that there are quite a few similar fragrances with these notes. Its the rice that takes this into another delicious sophisticated place. We all know that sweet vanilla, benzoin, frangipani and amber will very likely smell delightful but it could all too easily smell sickly sweet and cloying. Im perplexed about the incense which seems to have illuded me. This stuff is addictive. Its popular with the fellas to. lol Great longevity and moderate sillage.

shell_bell

I only got a tiny sample bottle of this but holy MOLY I'm going to have to save up to invest in a bigger bottle because this stuff is MAGIC!!

I first tried Kenzo Flower and bleh. After that I tried Kenzo Amour but was still less than impressed. Then I tried Kenzo Elephant and WOW! After I fell in love with that I thought I'd give this Le Parfum a chance. Man am I ever glad I did!

The incense and vanilla are *perfectly* balanced so that one never outweighs the other. They're rich and thick and delicious! The amber and frangipani on the drydown are gorgeous and compliment the vanilla wonderfully. This lovely concoction is perfect for cold weather and I'd say ideal for autumn but don't discount it for winter either. Lasting power is wonderful as well.
It's a little on the pricey side these days if you're on a budget but WELL worth saving up for.

Meganmarijuana

I really like this one is commercial but a very unique smell.very clean but sexy
The beginning is amazing the rice starts off sweet and innocent and then develops thanks to the patchouli an d Frangipani to a sexy but light balanced smell.
Then it's your basic vanilla and amber base but it's different because of the benzion idk I'm not familiar but it is really nice.

hyperfluff

I found the original Amor nice but too bland, this one is similar but so much more interesting and richer with its exotic twist. I really like it. Still predominantly sweet, cozy, dense vanilla, but with the sensuous depth of spice, smoke and resin. Imagine a cold desert night...you are safe and warm, in a cozy, luxurious Arabian tent, illuminated by the soft golden glow of lanterns, fragrant resins and incense burning in the corner, and you are being served a rich, creamy yummy dessert (vanilla rice pudding to be specific...topped with a few pinches of slivered almonds...my favorite Arabic dessert) by amber scented dark-eyed ladies. I love that it evokes the near east without a trace of oud to be found, I would consider this scent to be an oriental-gourmand. Perfect for fall and winter. Longevity is excellent and leaves a beautiful trail.

Lidell

If only I could have sex with a scent.

Before_Sunrise

This perfume is truly unique and rich, if you want something sweet with lots of incense that will make you stand out, thats the right perfume!

Kristina25

Very nice fragrance. So exotic and mysterious. It's susubtle, though. It wafts past you, giving you the side-eye saying "yep, I'm here, I'm beautiful enough not to shout for your attention!"

Very balsamic and comforting. It makes me think of the beautiful Arabian women in Dubai or Abu Dhabi with their designer handbags and expertly applied make-up. It's really quite wearable for something that at first sniff seems very heavy. The creaminess of the frangipani perfectly balances the rather generous dose of benzoin and gives a lovely "flower in the desert" feel.

I wish it were more easily available. If soft orientals are your thing and you find it, give it a spritz!

Jenavira

Imagine you put cherries and incense in your rice pudding, a delicious decadent strange delight that is also meditative.

cumulnimbus

I tested this one a while ago when it was still easy to find, I liked it but was on a no buy, so I thought I would go for it in a different moment. After that all of a sudden and to my surprise, it completely disappeared from the perfume shops. I just stopped looking for it.

Today I found a 30ml bottle when I came into a shop looking to test something else and couldn't help myself. It is a beautiful dark but feminine oriental. I don't like the original Amour which I find more common and dispensable. Amour Le parfum on the other hand, is original and special. It is an incensed and ambered benzoin bomb on me, darkened by the patchouli and transformed into a feminine scent by the addition of vanilla and rice notes. With a great longevity and a nice evolution, getting richer as time goes by.

I'm in heaven.

mvd99

I got this as an extra from the super-generous 40plus&fab, thank you again!! Just as I feared, I absolutely LOVE this discontinued and hard to find fragrance. It's very reminiscent of the original Amour but darker with a lovely incense accord that makes this scent much deeper. It opens with incense and resins, unlike it's lighter cousin. Yet, it still has the powdery rice vanilla pudding magic of the original, it's just lovely. If anyone has a bottle they'd like to swap or sell, pls for the love of God let me know.

vos

Tried it because i was hoping for a stronger version of the original amour. This is much more a evening fragrance. Less flowers and vanilla, more incence amber and pachouli. As i have mentiond in my review for the original amour: The base notes make me think of sweat. (koumin..) In the le parfum version even more so. Its probably just my disfunctional nose but there you have it.

MoreScentsThanSense

Kenzo Amour Le Parfum opens quite forcefully with resins and incense in the leading role. After a while I get the similarity with the original Kenzo Amour because of the rice creaminess which is evident here too but it's less sweet overall. So far so good, I enjoy it very much.

The real surprise was the drydown, I couldn't shake the thought that I was familiar with the scent. It was less smoky by the time, had evolved to a soft sweet resinous amber...

And then it hit me. Could it be, Ambre Sultan of all things..?

The comparison of the pyramids makes sense, they have benzoin, vanilla, amber, a touch of patchouli in common and here there is incense instead of myrrh. They are different scents, granted, with very little in common until a certain point. Amour is less complex, more subdued and not as masterfully crafted but its drydown reminds me very much of the one of the Lutens and I like it a lot!

born for shalimar

Hello .any suggestions as to what i can layer this parfum with to sweeten it up.in just too bland for me and theres something lacking .i hardly get any of the lovely notes mentioned .arm to arm it is very similar to van cleef & arp lys carmen which does nothing for me eithere although there is no lily in the amour.to me (loving,) a sweet note its incomplete.any suggestions.

lyciumchld

If you subscribe to the belief that your body is a temple, put this on: you will quite literally smell like one. Incense, vanilla, tea, patchouli, and flowers... This is LOVE.

EDIT: I've worn Kenzo Amour Le Parfum a few times now, and every time I am amazed at its longevity. The juice is 8 years old and yet it projects for a full 20 hours with a single spray to the back of the neck. I put it on yesterday and am still getting whiffs of it today at 3 in the afternoon. Not only does this smell divine, it is practically a barnacle in terms of tenacity! I adore it.

małgorzata.kupiec

I disagree that this one has nothing in common with the original Amour. The fragapini and rice are exactly the same in both, and I swear I can smell cherry blossom in Le Perfum version. I wanterd it soo much to be caramel with inscense, but instead I get I don't know exactly what but it's a scent from my childchood, really subtle but absolutely longlasting.

Sharks

I get tons of heliotrope from this. With the incense twist it has a richer feel than the original amour. Beautiful scent and I like it both in the summer and in the winter!

aspirina

I almost never write reviews. But i have a great love for this kenzo. It is my most treasured bottle. Incense and heavy thick black vanilla, not innocent like Amour. This is a grown up vanilla, like black lace, like black velvet. Not for the naive.
Is it loud? no, but it has a very good sillage and longevity (up to 20 hours or more) it's becoming more and more harder to get. Buy it if you see it just get it, this smells rich and expensive, incense, vanilla rice pudding caramel...how often do we find a perfume like this?

roseberries_

The exact smell of roasting rice milk marshmallows in a campfire made from smoked vanilla wood and incense. Perhaps nearby there's an amber sauce steeped with gentle spices for dipping.

Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is a gorgeous golden oriental that's the next best thing to a warm, intimate, cuddly hug on a cold day. The original Amour was a soft almond rice pudding, also rather edible and delicious but I infinitely prefer this version.

Aysu

Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is a perfect oriental, it feels like classic Dior Addict with lots of incence and benzoin added. Kenzo Flower Le Parfum is back on shelves, I hope Amour Le Parfum comes back too...

missk

Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is spectacular, and in my opinion, miles better in comparison to the original Kenzo Amour.

Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is indeed very dense, smoky and vanillary. As a result, this fragrance is quite mysterious and sensual. I feel a bit like an enchantress whenever I wear it.

The original was more fluffy, vanillary and sweet, whereas Kenzo Amour Le Parfum has a darker vibe, and is a bit more of an acquired taste. I must admit that the original didn't work with my chemistry, so I could be a little biased seeing that Kenzo Amour Le Parfum works better for me overall.

The rice and incense notes are easy to detect, and all in all I'm enjoying this flanker's lack of sweetness. It has a somewhat grown-up, elegant feel. I have a formal dinner coming up in a few weeks, so I wouldn't be surprised if Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is my choice on the night.

I am truly amazed to discover that Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is in fact an EDP. Its potency and excellent longevity had me fooled into thinking otherwise. But then again, perhaps Fragrantica has got it wrong. Nevertheless, I will definitely be buying a full bottle of this.

RickyBradshaw

Amazingly similar to Organza Indecence, especially after a half hour.

suesue

Is it true, that this gem is discontinued? :(

hippongo

For me, the initial notes of Le Parfum smells like drydown of Lolita Lempicka's "L": incense + vanilla. It's hot. Burns the soul.

Kimmy89

Where can I buy this perfume in the UK?
Tried most retailers.

40plus&fab

I purchased this unsniffed because I'm loving the LE flankers for the more popular original launches of K-Flower and K-Amour. Neither of which impressed me. If the original Amour was just "meh ok" for you or you're looking for its seductress alter ego, give this a try. This is definately a richer, warmer version of the original Amour. To my nose this closely resembles Kenzo Flower Oriental; both are warm, balmy, sensuous and intimate fragrances. BUT for me, there is "something" that keeps this from being in the "OOO I LUV" category alongside Oriental. Maybe because LeParfum is a bit spicier??? Or maybe it's just the the "k-Flower DNA" in Oriental that makes the difference for me. I'm not sure. But I do like it though very much. If you like Kenzo Oriental (which is now hard2find) I highly recommend this little golden jewel.

nadia11

Im looking forward to trying this one. Sounds scrumptious!:)

isabel.b.muradas

It gave me the worst headache of my life, I even got nauseous... not for me at all.
Hate it.

suesue

I have to say it again, this is probably the best scent ever invented. My favourite fragrance for fall and winter.

suesue

Absolutely adorable!! I also have the original version + indian holi, but this one is simply the best (even it has nothing in common with the other 2 versions, i think).

I tried it in a local mall in winter - then i went home. On my way home (just 5 minutes!) 2 women were asking me which scent i wear. And at home, my mother also told me that i smell sooo good!

The scent is expensive but - spraying once is absolutely enough. Once i sprayed 2 times - gave me a headache, that is just too much.

I love it! Unfortunately, my boyfriend hates it.

HLVTCA09

i adore this scent, even tho i have never wore it out. it is my "comfort scent" as i call it :) it smells just like sitting by a fireplace, a nice hot cup of tea, all snuggled up on the couch and a vanilla candle burning on the table.

Raina

I must stress that if you're interested in this as a more inense version of Amour, be advised that this is very different from the original. You need to try this one out before you buy because it is dominated by benzoin, which amps up the wood and resin spice here and turns it into something different from the vanilla rice pudding smell of the original.

There's still that lovely sweetness from the rice and vanilla, but it is very much in the background only. The incense here is wonderfuly done but I just find that the benzoin ruins it all for me. It drowns out most of the rice pudding goodness that I was hoping would be the dominating force. I blind bought this after trying out Amour Indian Holi, and though the two are nothing alike, even if I have my issues with this one I do have to say that this was an interesting one to smell.

I do agree with others who say that this is what I expected (based off of the name not the notes) Amour Indian Holi to smell like. For those wondering at the difference between the two, Amour Indian Holi is more of a fruity rice pudding scent, with something feminine and clean to it. Amour Le Parfum on the other hand has no fruit at all and is more of a woody rice pudding scent.

lucifera

hmm it's gorgeous with a capital G :-D a good intense version of the original! now i pray for the intense version of indian holi

lettyb76

This perfume is easy to wear, since it's not overpowering. I like it, but I think it would smell better if the incense was less prominent. I like incense, but I would like to smell the other notes more. I prefer Kenzo Amour Indian Holi.

luxatron

See, this is what I was expecting when I bought the original Amour and its flanker Indian Holi - spicy, warm rice pudding. Unfortunately, Indian Holi turned out to be a fruity floral over incense, and Amour was a bland but pretty, powdery vanilla rice pudding.

Amour Le Parfum, on the other hand, is the original Amour's rice pudding minus powder and amped up with amber, spices, incense, and even more sweetness. The initial opening has an odd sickly sweet note, but thankfully that fades away in literally less than a minute and leaves my skin scented with a gorgeous spicy version of Kenzo Amour. It reminds of visiting my aunts and going to a Hindu temple, what with the sweet incense and milky desserts of the temple melding with the flowery scent of my aunts' perfumes. This is undoubtedly a well executed scent, but it's just a bit too familiar to me that I don't think I'll feel comfortable wearing it.

lonika

when I first smelled it I knew that I wanted it. I´ve been craving for it since it was launched and I finally bought it some time ago as a birthday present for myself. It´s very spicy and warm and I can actually smell the rice:)It´s sooo delicious and I love the incense in it!For me, this is the perfect scent for autumn!

rose_selavie

Amour smells like propolis (the resinous mixture made by honeybees with antibiotic properties) which gives the sticky sweet note and vanilla rice milk. A golden sweet gourmand scent, soft like a cashmere sweater. Perfect for cold weather.

SheShe

I tried it once and, as much as I love Le Tigre, Elephant, Madagascar, Ca Sent Beau, Le Monde Est Beau, I couldn't truly like Amour Le Parfum.

There was too much incense and rice on me and the scent was tiring. But Amour Le Parfum did conjure a picture in my mind. I saw tops of oriental churches in my mind, painted in white and white oriental houses. It was an interesting trip :)

I think the fragrance has something in common with Flower by Kenzo le Parfum: the milky feeling.

Bottle is pretty and I remember lasting power was very good.

candymarie

Oh! My sweet, woody, gorgeous baby!! Where have you been all my life! You last and last and I can smell you all day (without sniffing my wrist)!

panterachik, thank you for the sample!

J'ai reconue - j'ai essaye Amour Le Parfum par hazard et un peu du curiosite. Et je suis recompense par une experience inoubliable - feminite par Kenzo, souligne des essence de bois d'Asie.
Note 8/10

mlxo7

The original Amour was just a bit too milky for my liking, I'm not sure what it was, I loved it when I sprayed in the store, but now its just a bit..so-so on me.
I really like this version of Amour, I just have the 30ml size, not obsessed with the bottle, but its attractive in an unusual way. This is very spicy and a bit incense-y, but after a while it dries down to original Amour (milky rice pudding, musk, vanilla) but with a bit of a 'kick' to it, which I prefer. Do recommend it, but not as a must-have - in my opinion.
Sillage - definitely not that good for me anyway, longevity - 4 hours approx on my 'perfume eating' skin.

Habanita

I didn't like it much. Also I thought that the Amour variations smell very much a like, just with tiny bits added. In the end it all came down to Amour again and the added notes faded.

Inspire0111

Strong, spicy, syrupy-sweet. It comes closer to Amour Indian Holi than to the original Amour. Personally, I prefer the original Amour - it is much softer, more delicate and sensual. When I am in the mood for a more intense verssion of Kenzo Amour, I reach for Play for her Intense (Givenchy). But Kenzo Anour remains my all-time favourite.

glitterlust

I bought this blind based on my appreciation of Flower le Parfum over the original. I must admit this has come to disappoint me. It's a beautiful scent but not as beautiful as the rest in my collection. It does have a nice dash of spice, benzoin and amber to beef things up a bit and this works really well under the frangipani. You can still smell the rice aroma from the original but this version is much drier and very flat.

The bottle is stunning, it lasts forever and is a good choice for winter.

melia

Not expected this at all! I was going to travel by airplane, and went into a shop to let myself smell like the nice creamy kenzo amour which would also not annoy others around me. I saw this edition, and though it would have better staying power or so, and I spritzed it.. one two three.. four times (maybe five). Ojojoj. I went out as a cream and spice BOMB. I almost choked myself, and I suppose I did a few others too. Happily my flight was delayed so the perfume had the time to fade away a little before gassing the whole airplane. Don't get me wrong, the perfume is delicious actually. It is kenzo amour with 'óumph'. An evening-dining-fancy-party-dark kenzo. With a big touch of oriental-spice-bazar added. Maybe how I supposed indian holi would be. Very nice, but please, learn from me and be careful. A little bit is enough of this peace of gold.

swedeangel

I love kenzo Amour for its softness and discrete sweetness , so of course i had to try Amour le parfum too!
yes its the same notes, you recognize the Amour ,but.. at first i thought Horray -amour upgraded all inclusive ,more of everything! More intense of the ingredients, more of sweetness, very very much more staying power - top grade!
But then i started feeling a bit put off by it,in a way that amour never made me feel , it just got too much ,too intense.
Yes i like it,but the Amour i love !

I think it is a real oriental. I cannot pull it off since it has very very strong incense notes, but overall I appreciate its quality. Incense is the most dominant note in this perfume, blended with vanilla, amber and patchouli. Very strong, stays on skin very long time.
EDIT: This scent is becoming a masterpiece in cooler weather, noticed that incense notes do not disturb me that much, as it quickly dries down to a wonderful ambery/vanillic base, a great great oriental...

Am I the only one who thinks Amour le parfum smells similar to Organza Indecence? I was really surprised: the drydowns are strikingly similar!

First - I've been using other oriental scents for the past decades, mostly by Chopard: Casmir during winter, Mira-Bai during summer, and similar scents. Now that Mira-Bai isn't with us any longer (and what a sad good-bye it was), I searched for a new and striking fragrance. I found it in Kenzoamour, and fortunately I got the new parfum right away.

The saleswoman told me that it's much too rich for her, and that one dash is enough for a long day. Now, I know that a perfume smells different on different skins, but the difference here was striking. Where it might be too sweet for some, the rich, colourful bright oriental sweetness will be perfect for others - like me! It stays with me all day long, true, but never overwhelmingly, so that I can even dare a dash more, or a renewal 'for an evening.' It's love. I must admit that I can hardly go out without it.

Like a loving cocoon...

This is one of the best orientals i have smelled. Its sweet and spicy, makes you think about places like India or Egypt.Of all the amour frags this is the most special one,the other ones are just sweet nothing special. But this one gives more that special feeling and i love the bottle too.

I have to say NO to this version of Kenzo Amour. Myabe I need to re-test it but I tested it twice and couldn't stand it on my skin. It's very strong and very... ehm.. poo-fecal. This is an effect I usually get from strong artificial musky scents such as Kiehl's Musk (not with NR!). Too bad :-(
The bottle is stunning!

I loved it from the start, bought it. I admired incensy-resinous-spicy opulence of it. I mixed it with Samsara-worked really fine.
I don't know what happened but I just couldn't wear it for much longer, I don't feel incense anymore:( Only flowers 0_o
I'm thinking to hand it down to my sister in law:(((
Will give it a try for one more time, I hope it'll work.

If I love Kenzo Amour, my relation to Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is more like passionate. I´ve got it in a swap recently and oooooooh my god how marvellous it is!

This is Kenzo Amour stepping up to new heights, getting som edge even... If Kenzo Amour is like the ultimate comfort Kenzo Amour Le parfum is the ultimate sensual, sexy comfort... you know the feeling after... Well, no more said about that maybe.

Clean smokiness, resins, soft cherry notes, lingering whispers of vanilla, some caramellised topping on a delicious rice pudding and beautiful oriental flowers blossoming all the way to the end.

Longlasting, soft yet strong, gorgeus bottle, a true work of art.

A must, must, must try!

This one is much more intense than the original Amour. While the original is sweeter, this one is more incensed. As said on the description, it still have the Amour smell, but better improved. I love it.

Im totally agree with BlackAmberMoon.

Also with my skin its a beautiful match :) and very long lasting ¡¡¡ Very captivating ... one of my next adds for sure.

For me, its a delicate and sensual combination of incense and frangipani, with a delicate touch of benzoin -not overpowering-
Make me fell into romantic and positive charm

BlackAmberMoon

Much richer and more voluptuous than the EDP version. The amber and incense make it more exotic than the EDP, but it doesn't venture into the "too sweet" category. Very soft and long-lasting. Definintely worth buying if you like the original but wish it had something more...

Marianne

I LOVE it! It smells exactly like you can read in the description above, a very well done fragrance. It's an oriental version of Kenzo Amour, with nice warm amber notes. It's not as creamy and delicate as the original, but more mature, more sophisticated, I would say. The staying power is amazing, as well. In this case, the high price ist OK.

model_wannabe

very warm, i love it. smells liek spices, carameland vanilla

Pez_Enelrio

same idea like the original but i like that one better, i think the edt is strong enough, and this one is already too strong and not as warm as the edt.

vertigo

what a wonderful poster and bottle!
the scent is purely golden, oriental, warm, dense and caramel :)
