A beautiful fresh-green fragrance, although I don't really detect much of a tea note. However, the green apple, spearmint, jasmine, and oakmoss all shimmer and dance as wear time moves along (solid ten hours), getting oddly louder as time goes by, counterintuitive for something in this genre. The first hour smells rather nondescript and cheap, but then something interesting happens: the green apple begins to step forward and sing sweetly, with the mint and a gauzy floral veil rippling in an invisible olfactory breeze. The remaining nine hours are pure joy.

I literally have Creation The vert on one of my wrists and vintage (20yrs old) EA green tea on my other wrist when writing this review. They are actually start very similar (at least with vintage EA green tea). Creation, however, has more prominent grapefruit note and later developes a nice green apple notewith mint. I do not smell much musk, oakmoss or other notes. Just tea, grapefruit, apple, mint and bit of jasmine. While Creation IS very similar to EA green tea, i like Creation more due to those subnotes, that i mentioned before. If i would choose between those 2, i would also choose Creation over Green tea.
Very nice, inoffensive, inexpensive everyday summer scent. Projection is modest, but you can still smell it on few hours later.

Mystères du Château de Dé

Thé Vert popped up recently in Switzerland at 10 bucks the bottle, new in package. Made in France by Lapidus. It's an original mix of notes but I have a scent memory that feels like it goes back a few decades, impossible for a 2008 fragrance. I was expecting a wet impact but The Vert is sappy with dry aspects, and even a bit sticky on the skin. It is not a refreshing blend. If this is tea inspired, it is warm tea with oils and sugar. The apple evokes "harvest time" even though it's not an amber. It smells like perfume and I like it.

The bottle is dated and weird for 2008, and tacky for the retail price, but amusing for 10 bucks. I would classify this as an excellent dime store perfume like in the good old days when that sort of fragrance had real notes and offered pretty fragrances at value prices.

Here we are again in the dead of summer. Melting bodies, oozing out complaint after complaint about the heat, forgetful of the miseries suffered in dead winter, praying eagerly for a reprieve from heavy days, and sweltering sun. Darkness has closed on my day, yet indoor temperatures are still sultry, despite the endless labor of air conditioning. I was on my way to talk myself out of writing a review on a night like tonight, but my desk happens to be the coolest spot I've found. Tripodding around two running fans, even my iced tea is sweating. Restless fatigue and dishumor clouded my thoughts, then I sprayed Creation The Vert. Air brought sharply through my noise, crisp and bright, circles around and accesses escapes, releasing a long needed tranquil sigh. Chilled green apple and mint, muddle amongst ice and green tea for a much welcome, and invigorating start. Grapefruit's acidic charm meets with lily and musk. The heart's trifecta: a necessary contrast to animalic and earthy jasmine, orris root and oakmoss. So often sharp citrus fragrances become mono-tonal, and lack dimension. But here the nose subliminally jumps between the two extremes, and finding somewhere in the middle, a world of intrigue. Yet, the very best part for me, is the short window space, where star anise peaks through the pane. Dazzling on paper, enchanting on skin, this final subtle note of spice expresses all too briefly. While perfectly timed, I wonder how less brevity would translate into the final experience. Still, Ted Lapidus shows us the revitalizing side of affordable luxury. This was made for the dregs of summer, and summons serenity from its nostalgically green bottle, and confines of modest perfection.

finally a tea scent and a freshie that I love; lots of citrus but the apple sweetens it so it smells more like mandarin in the top then tea and musk; the mint just gives it s zing and freshness without being minty and there are some light supporting florals but still this is a citrus tea scent through and through with white musk underlying and a touch of sweetness. To me, this is nothing like EA Green Tea, which I hate.

I dislike Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea and I can see why people find similarities between Green Tea and the Vert. However, I do enjoy The Vert. It's more green. It's a very refreshing spring fragrance. I can almost never find it but fortunately have one full bottle left.

This isn't a Creation 'flanker' but rather it stands on it's own. Also, I don't consider this to be a "green tea" scent at all!! I have both this and Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea Intense, and they are very different! SO many folks reference the Arden perfume when talking about this one, and the only thing that I can think might be the basis for that is the color! Yes, there is green tea in the top layer of Creation Verte, but it doesn't dominate nor does it really make it's presence known. It is part of the whole of this wonderful blend which, to my nose, is as much green chypre as it is green aromatic (lacking the bergamot and labdanum it doesn't really qualify as a chypre either).

I also don't understand all the fuss about the bottle. It isn't ugly by any means! It is functional and having the sprayer incorporated into the "cap" makes for ease in wearing and in storing. I like the verte version better than the its use in Creation because there is less contrast between the cap and the bottle beneath. I wish that the cap on Creation were a bit darker because mine just look dirty though they are not, only slightly elderly.

If you're expecting a scent like the original Creation (which is a beautiful, but heady, fall/winter fragrance), you'll be disappointed. This is a different scent altogether.

The Vert is definitely a summer spring fragrances. It smells clean and refreshing. I just loved it when I first tried it in TJ Maxx (though I've never seen it there again). I was so curious about it, because I was very surprised to see one of my favorite fragrances now in the same, but green bottle. I honestly don't understand, by the way, the complaints about the bottle. I find that kind of weird. I like the bottle, because I like the two fragrances so much.

At any rate, if you just want to smell clean, this is a good affordable fragrance. (And I'm fussy - I hate about four out of every five that I try). Oh, and if you like this, you'll also like Ethere by Vicky Thiel. I think they are similar.

Unlike other reviewers, I don't think this smells like Arden's green tea at all. That fragrance, I can kind of take or leave. I want to smell clean, but not necessarily like tea.

it's a little...sharper than arden's green tea. the citrus is stronger in this scent.

I love this perfume, for me is the best green tea perfume
Although I have many fragrances this became one of my favorites for summer.
The cons are that I find the bottle very ugly and has no long lasting power
very sorry for my English.

olga1780

Very energetic and refreshing fragrance with a lot of substance regardless of its fresh nature. The most prominent notes are green tea, mint, and lily. Sillage and longevity are moderate, but for the price you can use it quite generously as a body spray. Great for hot summers and sports. Very natural smelling and quite complex in the opening to my nose.
A hidden gem in an ugly bottle!
The complete notes from my tester bottle:
-Green tea
-Grapefruit
-Star anise
-Mint
-Jasmine
-Lily
-Orris
-Oak moss
-White musks

LOLAISA

It was so DELICIOUS, just like lemon-apple-mellisa hard candy...

The most underrated perfume I know. I do not undertand why it was discontinued so shortly after introduction. I absolutely love it. And as for the lasting power, although initially I thought it weak, I changed my mind after wearing it a few times. It lasts around 6 hours, keeping all that time an absolutely amazing scent. Although fresh, it has got sophistication. There is something creamy warm about it, like it had cyclamen or ginger, at the same time the lemon and the mint impart it its freshness. The mint is very noticeable in the heart, which makes it lovely. Also the scent is quite complex. The smell overall is more the smell of sweet mint tea than green tea. I do not find it similar to EA green tea at all, which I do not like. EA Green Tea smells exactly of its name, green tea, and I do not find that either interesting or appealing, and it is not sweet at all. Creation Thé Vert is sweet and minty. I love it. Reminds me of Morocco, of lovely afternoons in a cosy homely environment. The price is unbelievable for such a scent. Ted Lapidus do make great perfumes, despite selling them cheap these days.

The notes are:
Top notes: Green Tea, lemon, grapefruit and bergamot.
Heart notes: Mint, jasmine, lily, cyclamen, tarragon, rhubarb leaves and patchouli.
Base notes: Cedarwood, oakmoss, orris and whitemusks.

PS: It seems to be disappearing from online perfume shops, so if you want to try and get it, within one month or two I think it will probably be too late.

anaaranha

Very nice, very refreshing, very clean scent! Great for summer and hot days, as usually we have here, in my country. A great buy as well, for it's low price. I recommend.

FRAGRANZA

Great perfume, really refreshing and uplifting.....it doesn't last long. Anyway a great buy.

There may be other, better green tea scents out there; but, Ted Lapidus does just fine with this one...and for the going price it is a lovely scent at a great bargain.

I usually like my green tea hot, with nothing added when I'm drinking it; and citrus with honey or agave syrup, when it's iced. As a scent to be worn, the citrus does add to the freshness and greeness, but here the addition of tart green apple is just delicious. I get dry florals like carnation or some peony/rose hybrid-sexy enough but not overly femme...refreshing and airy without any cloying feel. I love Eau Parfumee au the verte Extreme by Bvlgari and also cK1, but also like this a great deal. This is somewhat more than EA Green Tea, but less than EA Green Tea Intense-not as pure as YR Fraicheur Vegetale The Vert-but a nice summery medley featuring green tea as the main focus with crispy fruit and subtle flowers. Great for guys or gals...green, fresh and lovely!

Sillage: good
Longevity: okay

Jillzilla and Sissi summed this scent up pretty well, Thanks girls! Summer Love is a great name by the way...If you like green tea scents and want a decent one without paying department store prices grab this at a discount store near you-you won't regret it...

Sissi

Opens with fresh and well rooted note of
Green Tea and Bright crisp notes of citruses dries simply with sweet smelling
note of peonies this is an simple elegant
scent it doesn't take a lot to wow me
i usually go for complex fragrances that
consists 12 or 13 flower and spices but
this is beautiful and refreshing beyond
words and it's sweeter then Elizabeth
Arden's green tea and not cloying like
Sakura & Green tea by TerraNova
This is the perfect green tea perfume
ever!.

njyogachick

Very, very pleased with this purchase. I loved Green Tea and I believe this smells just as good (maybe with slightly more apple) & under $10. The staying power is decent & since this is my current summer fragrance, I don't feel guilty spritzing more on during the day to freshen up. Much better than those body sprays at the same price.

Jillzilla

It's clear and refreshing. The apple note sweetens the tea note just enough that I am able to wear it. The floral notes are quiet.

In the colder weather, I get more floral notes, but in the warmer weather, I get a lot more tea in the top notes, and the gentle apple note really seems to linger on through the heart, so I feel I must classify it as a "Summer Love".

It's not groundbreaking, I agree, but I feel it's under-recognized for the lovely little scent it is. It's a sweet green tea floral that certainly doesn't smell as affordable as its pricetag might indicate. A safe blind buy for anyone who's considering it.

I not write well in English, but I just want to say that I love...
this perfume I became interested in perfumes and fragrances ...

liquid-alco

OK scent for 6-7 bucks per 30ml. Fresh and clean. Good enough for summer day. Might be useful when you need some shallow and mellow scent for 1-2 hours in the office or when being among children. Will totally disappear after 2-3 hours and your skin will be clean and ready for heavier night fragrances.
I must confess it's suitable for men in this regard.

fotolux

This scent is horrable like it`s bottle! The original Creation was my favorite fragrance, but this one is a cheap air frashener(green apple, green tea and flowers). I don`t know who can wear this. What a shame!
