I am utterly disgusted by the unpleasant service I received from Booking.com. My recent attempt to book a hotel through Booking.com platform turned into a nightmare, leaving me and my baby in a state of distress and frustration. Firstly, despite receiving a confirmation number, the hotel never received any booking confirmation from Booking.com. This led to a frantic back-and-forth with the hotel staff, who were unable to find any trace of my reservation. It's beyond belief that a company like Booking.com could fail so miserably in such a basic aspect of their service.

Secondly, when I reached out to your customer care for assistance, I was met with nothing but incompetence and indifference. Rainer M, the so-called "customer representative," only added to my ordeal by providing me with a new booking number that was utterly useless. Despite explaining the situation to him multiple times, he persisted in insisting that the new number would work, disregarding the fact that the hotel had no record of it whatsoever.

To make matters worse, after enduring a long and exhausting flight with my baby, this debacle with Booking.com was the last thing I needed. My poor child was already cranky from the journey, and Booking.com's complete incompetence only served to exacerbate the situation. The lack of empathy and accountability displayed by Booking.com is utterly disgraceful.

In light of this horrendous experience, I feel compelled to warn others against using Booking.com for their travel needs. In fact, I found that Expedia offers a far superior alternative. Not only was booking through Expedia a seamless experience, but it was also significantly cheaper than Booking.com. From now on, I will be taking my business elsewhere, and I strongly advise others to do the same. Save yourself some money and time and look for other alternatives, there are many better alternatives.

Booked a room at the Radisson through Booking, in Panama City Beach FL. Room was infested with bed bugs, and looked nothing like what was advertised. We received a refund from the hotel, but it was sent to Booking, and Booking won't refund our $500 for 12 days! Now we're stuck paying for an additional room, and don't have enough funds for fun activities with our children, as we had planned. Booking single-handedly ruined our weekend getaway with our kids that we drove 4 hours for! We will never book with them again. They are the "Spirit Airlines" of booking agencies.

I used Booking.com in the past with no problems, but had a very unfortunate experience on a trip to Nashville. Booking.com had confirmed my reservation but when we arrived at the hotel, they did not have a reservation. Nor did they have a comparable room. I called customer service and was told "don't worry, we have your back. We will send you a message in 30 minutes with a room." No message was ever received. The desk person at the intended hotel was kind enough to get on the phone and find us a room. We were told the new hotel was just "a few blocks away" so chose to walk. Well, it was 8-9 blocks away...uphill...dragging a 40 pound suitcase. I am a "senior citizen" so this was not easy. The new hotel was nice and actually less expensive than my booking.com reservation.

I contacted customer service and 3 days later, (not 24 hours as promised) got a response that said, "sorry for the inconvenience. We hope you found a room." I sent a reply saying, "You have got to be kidding. You hope WE found a room?! Isn't that your job?" And guess what? No answer from customer service. I have contacted them again, no answer. Despicable customer service. We were only in Nashville for a day and a half and spent a good part of it rectifying their mistake. No offer to compensate unless the new room cost more, then they would consider the difference. Never again. If you use them make sure you call the hotel and confirm. You know, do their job.

Booking.com is very clear that after a certain date, you will be charged for the reservation and no refunds will be granted. I thought our experience warranted an exception. My wife and I checked into our hotel. We were given a key to our room which turns out was still occupied. Still not sure how that mistake was made. I opened the door, poked my head in and saw luggage and groceries. Luckily the guests were out and I didn't get shot in the face. This is Texas. That is not hyperbole. We went back and got another key to the room next door. This is a budget property and I expected some rough edges. But we only had one towel, one glass, the wall mounted A/C unit didn't work. In fact, the front of the unit was falling off. The window in the room opened to the outside walkway but wouldn't lock. Open, it was big enough for an adult to step through. That was it.

My wife didn't feel safe and I was uneasy as well. I will be 70 this year and she is in her late 50's. We have to feel safe in our accommodations. We checked out and found another hotel. Poor amenities I can overlook. But safety issues I can't overlook. The reviews of the property did not come close to matching what we experienced. Booking.com is standing firm on the no refund policy. I can't force them to budge but if anyone asks me, I would recommend a different/any other hotel booking website.

Been using Booking.Com for years. Have booked thousands $ over the Years. Up till now was good service. My husband fighting stage 4 cancer. We were traveling. He had to go to hospital for 2 days - had to cancel - request refund due to medical emergency. They lied and said property refused refund. Stayed at same hotel on way back. Manager said he approved refund. Booking lied and said they refused. Heartless bastards!! Just lost a loyal and frequent customer!! After escalating and expressing disgust They gave me $70 refund on a $1200 reservation TOTAL SLAP IN THE FACE. HOTEL manager explained they (booking.com) book and pay for rooms therefore they probably didn't want to take a loss. The lack of compassion and empathy for our situation is unconscionable. WILL REFUND FOR COVID BUT NOT STAGE 4 CANCER?? REALLY SHAME ON YOU BOOKING.COM.

DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM!!! We were lied to and scammed out of $10K by Booking.com! We arrived at our confirmed reservation, where we discovered we were double-booked. After several hours on the phone with different Customer Service agents, we were assured several times we would be refunded the difference of the original reservation and the relocation property they sent to us in an email confirming the double-booking situation. We have documents and voice recordings proving all of this, even a copy of the double booking from the other guest who was staying in the property. Now they will not respond to us – promised return phone calls and emails are not received. So many lies from customer service and the property owner of the original reservation.

It is impossible to get through to someone who can actually help us. We are trying to resolve this through an attorney now. This situation made our long distance trip for my daughter’s wedding extremely stressful and they are trying to add thousands of dollars to the cost of our accommodations that we had not planned for.

**USE BOOKING.COM AT YOUR OWN RISK – THEY DO NOT HONOR WHAT IS ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE OR WHAT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS SAY.**

I'd give -0 if it were possible. I arrived to the hotel that I'd made reservations for one month previous with "Crookings".com. The hotel graciously secured me a room and not once did I receive any correspondence or apology for their mess up.

I booked a hotel Fairfield Inn in Atlanta Ga. It was a last-minute thing where I needed to be at the capitol. The pictures looked nice. When we arrived late that evening about 8:30. It was dark outside the hotel. The hotel is not in the best neighborhood and there were several groups of unsavory looking characters around the entrance. There is hardly any room to pull up and check in so when I parked immediately an employee came out and started barking at me about was, I valet parking which was $50.00, or self-parking? I asked him where self-parking was, and he pointed to a parking garage about a block and a half away. I said "No way" then I said where valet parking is, he pointed to the same parking garage. I left my wife in the car and went inside. There was one guy working. I did not have a good feeling about the service, the location and the characters outside much less the rude attendant. It boils down to I didn't feel safe for my wife and I. We left. I tried diligently to get a refund with Booking.com and ended up getting a $5.00 credit. I will NEVER use Booking.com again!!!

I rented a car with them. The company providing the car had a problem and gave it to me several hours later, so I had to cancel my hotel reservation for that day. As per Booking.com: "In our terms and conditions you can see that if you pick up the car later or earlier than agreed, you are not entitled to a refund for unused time." This means that if you get the car the last day, it is OK and you have to pay for the whole contract anyway. Would not rent with them anymore.

I used Booking.com for a trip and thankfully I pay attention to my credit card charges because someone used my credit card to book an $1800. vacation. NOT ONE PERSON SPEAKS ENGLISH and I got absolutely nowhere.
