Harry Hole will return in 2019

KNIFE, the twelfth instalment in Jo Nesbo’s bestselling series featuring troubled Oslo detective Harry Hole, will be published in Summer 2019.

After the dramatic conclusion of worldwide bestseller THE THIRST, KNIFE sees Harry waking up with a ferocious hangover, his hands and clothes covered in blood.

Not only is Harry about to come face to face with an old, deadly foe, but with his darkest personal challenge yet.

Jo Nesbo will be launching his new Harry Hole thriller with a special UK event at the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival 2019.

I really like Harry Hole. And you are right, he sticks with you. I read Macbeth but it wasn’t the same. Just didn’t grab me.

JoyReaderGirl1 Read all of your books. Am watching, “The Occupation,” on Netflix because it’s also a Jo Nesbo original. Have to admit, Harry is one of my absolute favorite protagonists—flawed, tenacious and brilliant. Looking forward to my next favorite book! Thanks.

Missy Garcia-Cooper Personally, I thought Michael Fassbender did an excellent job capturing the character of Harry Hole - who wouldn't believe that Fassbender plays the part of the "intelligent handsome drunk" quite naturally :-x It is a shame that they deviated SO much from the book; that was their biggest mistake. And yet for me, The Snowman is NOT the best Nesbo book. If anything; it is the one I actually liked the least. Mr. Nesbo is an excellent writer; and I look forward to all future books. ps I just discovered Keigo Hishagino (devotion of suspect x) - and I definitely suggest everyone read his books! Excellent.

Tony da Napoli thanks for the tip on Keigo "Hishagino"... the name is Keigo Higashino ;-) I will check him out

Vanessa I'm so late to the Harry game and am currently on The Police. I am pretty confident I'll get through it and The Thirst fairly quickly, though. It will be a tough few months until I can get my hands on Knife-- not sure how all the other fans who were actually reading ON TIME are handling.. kudos!
