It's really too bad I can't add my favorite time travel story, which I believe would be a pleasure and astound many, the Sony Playstation game created by Square Soft: "Chrono Cross".
Some of the choices on this list are completely baffling. 'Stranger in a Strange Land', 'The Body Snatchers', 'Way Station' and many others are not 'time travel' novels. Wilson Tucker's 'The Lincoln Hunters' and 'The Year of The Quiet Sun' is missing, which is a shame. Julian May's 'Saga of The Exiles' is not here. Simak's 'Time and Again' and presumably many more excellent novels. And Harry Potter? Seriously?

Thank you for posting this as I was wondering to myself what did I forget in Stranger in a Strange Land? I don't remember any time travel but then its been many years since I read it.

The same happened to me with The Green Mile. I read it many years ago but I don't remember any time travel! Is there one and I have just forgotten?

Does The Green Mile really count as time travel? Paul doesn't actually travel back in time, he just writes about what happened when he was worked on death row.

I think you just identified the "time travel" aspect of Stranger in a Strange Land: most of us have travelled many decades since we read it! (Do you grok me?)
So where are the Thursday Next stories by Jasper Fforde (#1=The Eyre Affair)??? They're weird, but they ARE actually time travel books with a whole police force monitoring the time travellers, eh?

I so agree... I've therefore removed Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (#620) and The Devil in the White City (#624) are non-fiction and do not involve any time travel!
