Angel Eau Croisière by Mugler is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women. Angel Eau Croisière was launched in 2019. The nose behind this fragrance is Sidonie Lancesseur.

For the 2019 season, Mugler fragrances prepared a new summer edition of the iconic gourmand perfume Angel - Angel Eau Croisère. The new limited edition is inspired by the leisure atmosphere of summer cruises and flavours of fruity cocktails.

"Embodying refined yet care-free evasion, Angel Eau Croisière gives a fresh take on cruise spirit...The perfect scent to wrap yourself in for a future escape… Where will the next destination be?"

Described as luminous and rounded, the new Angel Eau Croisère promises a sunny and energetic scent that mimics the sensation of sipping an iced cocktail in the middle of summer. This fresh fruit oriental is developed by perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur of Robertet

Energetic cocktail facet: mango, grapefruit, black currant sorbet
Voluptuous facet: patchouli, pralines

The iconic Angel star-shaped flacon comes in vivid pop shades of pink and yellow. The fragrance is available as a 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

Galaxie Girl

This is a BLAST of tropical, fruity GLORY! However, it's not a mere 'linear' scent; this has serious depth, and you'll be amazed at the dry down- which somehow, still maintains the fruit, but turns just a bit deeper. I get a sense of the slightest musk, alongside MEGA passionfruit, even hours later! This perfume LASTS. I swear, so few do, these days, but this one is a killer! I bought this when it first came out, and I can only hope that any newer produced bottles still deliver the fruity pack and punch that mine does! Also- it's definitely got a wee bit of DNA from the original Angel; it's hard to describe, but if you've had the original, you''ll understand when you smell this!

gollumina

I find that the fruity notes disappear pretty quickly...after that Im left with a pure sugary sweet smell. It's very feminine and lovely. Don't really get true Angel vibes

Cloelles

O-my-god. Wow. This is THE Best mango perfume I have ever tried. I would never ever have guessed a designer mango would beat all the niche mangos! I am beyond happy for pulling the trigger on blind buying this one. This is everything I hoped Sunplosion, Mango Skin, Hauts Bijoux, God of Fire and Chypre Mojo 45 would be.... this beats them all with no effort. This smells like a fresh actual mango sorbet with grapefruit! Not too sweet, not synthetic, not too strong or pungent, fresh refreshing mango slushie/sorbet/juice! Not too fancy or "uppety" smelling, just very realistic seethrough (fresh, cold, not syrupy thick at all) mango juice with ice cubes and shredded grapefruit, perfect for a hot summer day. That fresh zing from the sorbet and grapefruit is absolutely amazing wow it pierces through the mango making it super summery and refreshing exactly like ice cubes or slush in a mango drink. And that fresh slightly tart zing lasts right along with the mango! I am so used to the fresh sitrucy and realistic fruity notes to last only 2-10mins but I´m close to 1h now and still going strong! Oh wow! I hope the drydown is going to be just as good. Will update 😍❤️🥰!

Update: ok my initial enthusiasm has died down a bit but still love the scent. The freshness of the mango doesn't last beyond that 1h mark max but there is a zing, a bitterness that lasts from beginning to end even though the note of mango isn't destinguisable anymore. It becomes a soapy and sweet patchouly with some zingy bitterness that makes it a bit fresher. Longevity for this part is great at least 8h with moderate sillage. That first 1h though is sooo goood! 🤤

CaraQ

I have nearly an entire bottle of this. It was a gift. At first sniff, it’s captivating! However, after a while, I’m finding the mango to be too much for my nose. If anyone is interested to purchase or swap, please let me know!

NoorbBelgium

Gorgeous, rich, and yet clean and fresh. sexy. Yes, this smell is quite complex. It has a bright, airy smell. It's fresh, effervescent, and easy to get along with. Fruity and refreshing with a hint of Angel creaminess that fades to Angel light with no patchouli or musk. Pleasing. It also lasts for hours. God, it's so nice. It's a sinful delight.

agj

This is my FAVOURITE summer fragrance. I really wish I had bought a back up bottle in 2019 when they released this as it really was love at first sniff. I purchased this fragrance at the airport on my way to Greece (peak summer time) and it did not turn screechy or headache inducing at all the entire time. To me this smells like a BEAUTIFUL grapefruit, mango fruit punch. Really is summer time in a bottle. Lasts for so long on the skin and is a massive compliment getter

Heavenly Heather

A fantastic tropical fragrance! Very mango forward but also has some creamy & citrus notes from the sorbet and some woodiness in the dry down. I can still get the signature Mugler DNA as well but this is a brighter more luscious take and probably my favorite flanker!

I am already an Angel fan so I was keen to try this as soon as it was available. I purchased it the same day I sampled it. It's not that similar to Angel EDP, there is a hint of a similarity, but only when I look for it. The patchouli is there, sweet and syrupy like the EDP, but stays away from skanky territory. Eau Croisiere is far more similar to the 2019 Angel EDT, though, I think this one came out first (at least where I live). The dominant note is juicy, sweet mango with a pleasant fresh, bitterness from the grapefruit. This helps the otherwise very sweet and syrupy fragrance never feel too heavy and cloying, even on a hot, humid summer day.

I really only wear this in hot weather, just because I love how tropical fruit fragrances smell in the heat. It always reminds me of a beach vacation. This fragrance does have enough strength and depth to hold up to cold weather. So if you need to smell like a tropical vacation in the middle of winter, this is a great fragrance to try.

I get really solid performance from Eau Croisiere. For the first couple hours it has pretty strong projection. After 3-4 hours I find it stays pretty close to the skin. I do get nice whiffs of it throughout the day. It lasts 8-10 hours for me.

I love the colours of the bottle, they are so fitting for the fragrance. The pink fading onto the yellow/orange is just so pretty. I wish they had used the standing star for the this fragrance. It's a shame it lays down on the shelf and I can only appreciate it's beauty when I pick it up.

WinterSneeuw

I bought this fragrance in the Summer of 2019 and have not had the chance to properly wear it till this Summer. I tried out this fragrance in the store at the time. I love Mango, so I thought it would be a scent up my alley. I liked it at the store, it smelled fruity to me. I instantly bough a 50ml bottle. I have always stored the bottle in its box in a dark cuppboard in a room where I never let sunlight in or turn on the heater.

Now that I have tried this fragrance a few times, I have come to my review. Whenever I spray it, I smell nothing. It does not matter if I spray it once or 10 times, absolutely no smell at all. My boyfriend also smells nothing when I put this fragrance on. It does not change overtime, I still can not smell it. I will finsih this bottle, maybe next Summer I will smell something.

Vicky456

A nice sweet tropical scent, but it’s not a sugary sweet, there’s some heaviness too it. Nothing really stands out in the beginning but on the dry down it does smell a bit more woody and like a very very light version of something like old spice but with a hint of tropical sweetness. Lasting power is trash, like an hour before it turns into a skin scent.

astridkh3

Really lovely tropical sweet scent for fruit loving girlies. It’s a milky mango patchouli. You can smell each of the notes in this bad boy. This is both heavy/syrupy and light and fresh which is really quite nice. Smells incredibly similar to the 2020 version, so if you already have that then it’s not worth purchasing this version (unless you are a mango super fan, but I would recommend going with the 2020 version and just layering a mango lotion or body mist over it).

PeachPerfume

I love it so much that I'm on my second bottle (and was very sad to find that it was discontinued and now hard to get). The mango tart fro-yo, beachy scent is pure summer vacation, taking you right to the shores of Hawaii where you gnaw all the way down to the mango skin because the sweet exquisiteness of the fruit is just that good. The patchouli blended in moves this away from the Bath and Body Works mango butter genre for me, and makes it more more complex. Don't get me wrong - the berries and the praline keep this scent incredibly sweet and young, but there is definitely something more sophisticated here than your average tropical. When I couldn't find this easily in 2022 I decided to go on a tropical scent adventure to my local department stores and niche perfumeries in San Francisco, smelling everything from Creed Virgin Island Water to Escada's Taj Sunset to Njie's Tropica to Kilian's Moonlight in Heaven. I really liked all of those too (with Njie's Tropica being my favorite of the pack). But with just a few sprays of this left, Eau Croisiere is still my No. 1 tropical, and so off to eBay I went to buy another one.

Yessamin

Mango and blackcurrant transport you to the beach while the patchouli notes carry you to the stars.

Sofia87

No no no! A fresh ripe mango that smells like it's been dug up from dirty wet soil instead of picked off from the tree.. VERY earthy. It literally smells like a dirty fruit. Pathouli-bomb! I wish it was more complex and fresh. I think it was the *limited edition" that attracted me and that it had really good reviews. It's very young and summery.. Buy this if you want a long-lasting body-mist kinda scent. Update: Sold it cause it smelt worse every time I used it. I don’t like this at all. It’s smells like a rotten mango. Even my boyfriend was like uuuugh what is this?!

mandyads

Mango butter.

Finally got some samples to test and I'm actually a little bit underwhelmed considering it is a Mugler fragrance. I know they get crazy with the flankers and sometimes they can be all over the place and not share the same strength or boldness of the original, bur I expected more uniqueness and punch from this one. I actually agree with the inference that this smells very similar to a limited edition summer body spray and body lotion combo you could get from Victoria's Secret or Bath & Body Works. It actually smells incredibly familiar to me... perhaps like a nice mango scented/flavored chapstick or a mango body butter. Smells like very artificial mango... not necessarily a bad thing, but not bold like I expected from Mugler. I expected this mango to be as strong as the passionfruit in Angel Muse EDT or as strong as the raspberry in Angel Nova EDP.

As it dried down, it becomes more interesting and the patchouli comes out to play. However, let me say that this is NOT the patchouli in the original Angel EDP, which smells like expired acetone to me. This patchouli comes off more like a musky-tang (reminescent of the akigalawood in Angel Muse EDT); it's earthy, musky and grounded but does not smell dirty or like acetone. The original Angel EDP is my most disliked fragrance, so I think I'm a trustworthy source, lol. Since the dry down becomes more anchored, it begins to smell more like an adult fragrance and I'm actually appreciating it quite a bit more.

I have many samples, so I'll keep working with it and see how it goes. As long a the patchouli doesn't turn... it's between an okay and a like for me. Not sure I would buy it though, as I was hoping for a more tangy and bold mango... whereas this is quite "mango butter" to me. If this was the fragrance of a hair product, I would be obsessed. As a perfume... I don't know. I love grapefruit/pomelo in fragrances and I absolutely love mango in general. Guess I was looking for something more unique and not necessarily smell like an everyday body care product.

singlehandedbeauty

This a fruity patchouli done right! Sweet mango is made slightly tart with the addition of grapefruit and black current. Patchouli and praline are masterfully blended in the mix to provide balance and a touch of sexiness. (Don't worry, not the overwhelming patch of the original.) This is literally mouth-watering. It's my favorite Angel summer flanker and I love reaching for it in the warmer months. If it weren't so darn difficult to find I'd buy a backup.

JasonsGirl

@Rose du soir Thank you! I'm in the states, and all I can find is second hand at a much higher price than I'm willing to pay. I'm just bummed that I didn't buy it back when it came out, but I was on the tail end of a divorce and had so many things going on in my life that I honestly didn't pay any attention to what was new then. If anyone has this, and would like to sell it (at a reasonable price) let me know!

Rose du soir

@JasonsGirl It was a limited edition, but it's still sold at some discounters and duty free stores. It's still pretty easy to find discounted in some countries especially in Europe. Since 2020, it's also being sold as Angel Summer. Other than the name, it's exactly the same product, scent and bottle.

JasonsGirl

Is this discontinued? I really want to try it, but I don't see it in any stores or on the Mugler site.

I was blessed by the perfume gods when I found a full 50ml tester for £32. I’ve been thinking about this perfume ever since smelling it at an airport. Yes it smells like the mango body mist from Victoria secret, yes it smells like something escada would make, it’s those kinds of fragrances, but make it mugler.

Upon first sniff it just smells like mango with a grapefruit touch, however since it is backed by mugler’s signature patchouli, it smells so much more grounded than a body mist, the longevity is amazing and it definitely smells much more expensive than a regular body mist/escada fragrance.

chrysshops

I have this 2019 version for sale.

sondermelon

I thought I would get something fresh, fruity, and a bit gourmand, This feels a bit like a summer-time body wash scent to me based on skin tests and paper tests. I think I might warm up to the scent itself later as summer rolls around, but it's not as edible as I'd like, and I'm a bit disappointed. It smells nice, just not in the way I expected.

annn1

I remember Solero Exotic ice cream from my childhood. My absolute summer favorite and I just read that they brough it back after it disappeared in the early 2000s. This is how they describe it: "A delicious combination of vanilla ice cream with a tangy exotic fruit sorbet swirled through the ice cream and all wrapped in an exotic flavoured coating. Indulge with the refreshing taste of exotic fruits, such as peach, passion fruit, mango, and pineapple."

Imagine exactly that but as a gourgeously well-blended tropical summer scent with high quality ingredients and the amazing sillage and longevity of the Mugler brand. And somewhere in the background a suttle hint of the original Angel. Summer perfection!!

bren400

If you want to smell like a piña colada drink, then look no further.

Dorientje

For people in Europe, I bought this last week from the French website
my-origines.com . I received today and it is indeed the 2019 bottle. It's going for a good price too, paid 45 euros. So check there if you’re looking for it!

singlehandedbeauty

I blind bought Angel Eau Croisière 2019 and 2020 and I'm happy to report that I really like 2019 and adore 2020.

The 2019 version immediately took me back to 1998 when I worked in the fragrance department at Victoria's Secret. It's a mix of all the fruity body sprays and Rapture EDP. (Remember that one?!!) Simply put, it smells like peach jello on top of a clean yet warm patchouli base. To my nose 2019 is more tart and has more of the patchouli aspect of Angel DNA (but still understated). 2020 is sweeter (and more complex) with more of Angel's signature praline note. Both are interesting, tropical interpretations of Angel, but 2019 is more flirty, fun, and addictive.

Though I prefer 2020, AEC 2019 is still a winner for its sheer nostalgic value. It's not at all a serious fragrance, but way more enjoyable and complex than the comparable Escada. Surprisingly, 2020 performs way better, but I get incredible sillage, especially on hot days, for a good few hours, and the overall longevity is around six hours, which isn't bad for an EDT. You'll get more longevity when sprayed on clothing, but doing so makes the patchouli more prominent. I'm also happy to report that the fruity notes carry on throughout the life of the fragrance.

It's not for everyone, and I would probably not repurchase, but I'm really happy to have this in my collection.

FiaM

Summer perfection!
Do not be afraid of the patch here, it's well behaved. (I even got this by my anti-patch, perfume- intolerant partner)
Starts with MANGO and a bit of the usual Mugler DNA. Dry down is not as exciting as the spritz, but I love it.

ladygrinningsoul666

This is a really simple and refreshing mango perfume. I couldn't really differenciate the black currant and I don't smell any praline, all I can smell is a less sweet mango -probably due to the grapefruit note- and non-cloying light patchouli. The longevity and sillage are pretty good, and it's a really likeable and uplifting scent, perfect for summer. I bought a small decant of this but I don't think I would buy a full bottle since it's not an interesting perfume. If I can't find anything interesting, this one would be a safe choice though.

gourmandnotes

The grapefruit, sorbet, and black currant combo gives the voluptuousness of the juicy mango note a bit of an acidic tang. And when in combination with the earthy patchouli, it gives this fruity cocktail a bit of a bitterness that translates into tannins, the scratchy-throat feel right after drinking pineapple juice or some iced teas. Altogether AeC 2019 begins with an acidic overripen mango-patchouli, then just creamy mango with an addictive green (black currant-patchouli) drydown. One of my favorite flankers.

Cherrycardinal

Even though this is a bit escada and doesn't have a hard mugler edge to it, it's the best mango I've come across, very strong too like mango candy. When I first sprayed I thought it was cloying but I love it after it settles ~10 min. The mango stays long and has a nice woody-patchouli base, it feels honeyed too. Really could be worn year round day or night, put simply smells like candy sweet woody mango with a touch of tropical floral. Let me know if you've come across a mango scent on par or better than this!!

Nraveles

Mango juice BOMBBBB. Very tropical. Being Mexican I know mango like the back of my hand and this takes me back to being a kid fr. It’s so gorgeous.

Erica.Cass

Very nice! Love the mango top!

kittymoon

I just got mine and everything looks exactly like the 2019 Eau Croisière, but it's called Angel Summer. I can't find any info on google, but everything seems genuine. The code says it's from January 2020?! Anyway. It smells like watered down mango juice, quite light. It's not as "angel" as the 2020 Eau Croisière or Angel Muse edt, I'm a little disappointed. I wish it was more chocolate powdery. But apart from that it's nice. I agree it's similar to the Escada summer editions. I might resell but people will think it's a fake 😂

BattleBabers

I cannot wait for summer. I love Angel ( I have only tried the reformulated Angel not the OG ) and have been wearing the EDP and the old EDT ( Les Cometes ) all winter long. I blind bought the 2019 version and I really, really like it! I read all the reviews before purchasing as I was looking for an Angel flanker summer scent, I was nervous when I read that many got 'dirty mango' vibes but decided to try anyway.
Upon first spray it is fresh, juicy mango with a citrus burst, grapefruit and lime mostly. It is bright and fresh. After about an hour I begin to smell the vanilla, creamy and warm vanilla with a little bit of caramel in the background. I do not get a ton of patchouli, which I personally love about the original Angel. ( I think you either have the chemistry and PH that likes patchouli or you don't. Luckily my chemistry gets on very well with patchouli!! ). I was hoping for more patchouli, it is there, but faint and very much in the background. It keeps this flanker grounded and from becoming sickly and too cloyingly sweet.
On my skin this is not a beast, I get about 4 hours of wear time and then it fades. I don't mind reapplying though. I can't wait to see how this performs in the heat of summer! I will edit if any of the notes change on my skin with additional warmth.

felicia.tations

You're on a warm tropical holiday, the sun is on the cusp of setting, and you've just sat down at an open-air bar. You've spent the last hour feverishly dancing with hunky strangers. The bartender is cutting and prepping the fruits that will be used to make and decorate the cocktails and desserts that the bar serves. The herbaceous zing of fresh citrus oils and the sticky richness of mango juices intermingle on the occasional breeze. The air is humid, and thick with body heat radiating from the masses of dancing humans.

To cool off, you order the vanilla sorbet topped with mango coulis and candied pralines. The server brings the dish to you, and you're enveloped by the scent of warm, jammy, sugared tanginess and toasted-then-caramelized nuttiness.

As the server turns to leave, you catch a (blessedly) *faint* whiff of their perfume. You recognize it immediately - it's the unmistakable, repulsive-but-intriguing scent of the the original Angel EDP. But it's gone as quickly as it came, and you focus on your dessert. Throughout the meal, you find yourself catching whispers of Angel on the breeze, here and there. It's familiar but not intrusive, and mostly obscured by the other delicious fragrances that surround you.

Rosita61

I just got my hands on a 50ML from Fragrancebuy. First impression is ... not so impressed. It smells really nice when i spray the air, but it seems to turn into a skin scent almost immediately-- which has never happened to me this quick.
Further, im not sure what i am smelling, by which I mean--- i know it smells sweet and fresh and fun, but I cannot pick out the individual notes, including mango, which I expected would be the most noticeable note to my nose.
Anyway, this is just my first impression and I've only been wearing it for a couple hours now. I will give it more time and update my review if anything changes.
I am a Mugler fan and jumped at owning this when I saw it available. So all in all, I am happy because I am an Angel fanatic, it's just not my most favorite flanker (so far) based on the scent or the longevity.

CaraQ

So pretty, yet incredibly... Odd. ALMOST off-putting.

It's like they took the original Angel, removed most of the honey, dampened down the chocolate a bit, and then poured in a while bunch of mango.

Mango is a VERY distinct smell. You'll never find people standing around debating what that scent is. It just IS. So taking that and throwing it into the mother of all Gourmands was brave, possibly slightly insane, and I bet they were sitting around the lab and were like, "Hey, what the hell? Why not??" when they hit upon this.

Anyway, it's nice during the summer, only. It doesn't need more than one spray. If you go more than two, you and everyone around you will be on the floor, so don't do that.

Oh, and would I get this again? While I do like it, I would not.

runothipboo

I really hate myself for loving this fragrance so much. It's an overly fruity sweet fragrance that one might find at Victoria's Secret except this is a fancier version. Yes, there is a beautiful warm oriental dry down but man, it's so fruity in the opening that I feel like a 16 year old girl getting ready for a first date.

I mix it with another fragrance and it's my daily.

God, it's so good. It's a guilty pleasure.

sakura28

Beautiful bottle, basically I wanted this for the bottle. Scent is not my favorite, but not too extreme for mugler. I don't love this one, but I love the newer 2020 version.

Simply put, on me it smells like dirty mango. Yea.

There is freshness in the mango, but still those notes of dirty/earthy that doesn't totally vibe with my skin. I know it is the black currant/pachulli combo. They are dominant. Too much of both is a nope for my chemistry.

I will say it's fun and different. I love mugler so I will be keeping even though it's not my type. It's not a clean and easy wear/daily wear type of scent in my opinion.

If the 'dirty' patchouli note in the original angel doesnt bother you, your nose/skin might just think this is a fresh mango scent. I don't recommend blind buying this one if you only buy fragrances for the juice.

TrueWaif

Love at first spray! This is my new go to perfume, so easy to wear and I get so many compliments, which says a lot bc no one else in my life really likes perfume. One spray usually does it and I carry a decant in my purse. It's a delicious fruity cocktail, sweet but not sickeningly so. The fruits smell realistic enough to ward off a cloying/immature vibe. More of a day time and summer perfume but I wear it for anything from errands to a night out, and will probably continue to wear it into the winter. All my other perfumes are jealous.

caro78

Heard it’s getting re launched it’s called Summer Edition now

bianca_11106

I love the juicy mango and the bitterness of the grapefruit in this fragrance. It still carries the original Angel DNA, I can smell the pachouli underneath the fruity notes, but it's not overwhelming or too strong.

It gets compared to Miami Blossom and I have to disagree. I have both fragrances and I can say that while they're both marketed for summer and the color of the bottles is the same, they are very different.

Miami Blossom is a bright, happy, sweet, fruity shampooey fragrance, where pineapple and watermelon stand out the most, whereas Angel Eau Croisière is more textured, creamier, thicker, more dense, earthy sweet, sticky mango.

I love them both, but they are not interchangable. Between the two, I could not choose one, because I wear them on different occasions and with different purposes in mind.

danygurl06

I really like this 2019 version. I like it much better than the 2020 which is far sweeter on my skin. I get grapefruit and mango, but grapefruit is the star of the show.

This fragrance reminds me of when you first enter a cruise ship. You order some fruity cocktail while you sit at a table next to the ledge and begin taking in the smell and sight of all that water. Some how these tart fruits plus the barely sweet base create a somewhat salty smell. I can imagine the scent would mix well with hot sweaty skin. Also, I get something that smells like deep water. I can also smell that this fragrance has layers or depth to it.

I’m sorry but Escada Miami Blossom doesn’t smell that similar on my skin. It’s just sweet mango fruit punch or fruit roll up. I think these two fragrance would layer nicely.

Unfortunately, this is another pass for me from Mugler, but I will say that it doesn't make me recoil or gag like all the other Mugler fragrances I've tried. There's just something about mango as a note that I'm not liking, plus the grapefruit smells really sour to my nose and don't get me started on the cat pee note from the black currant (God I hate that note!). I can vaguely smell pralines, but it's not enough to save this one for me.

devladelices

pineapple** juice!!!

Having said that, I see that there are approximately zero pineapple notes in this perfume. I kept waiting for a little bit of original Angel's base notes to peek through, but for me it didn't happen. Perhaps in colder weather..? It's certainly upbeat, tropical, and fun - but disappointingly "one-note" for me, so far.

[update] **err, MANGO.
welp. A year later I bought an entire bottle. It was summertime and I kept coming back to it. and I admit it -- lately i had just been wanting to smell like fruity shampoo, despite the 'basic b' critique of fruity perfumes. i am "olde" so i just want to smell FRESH! - whether that is soapy, or fruity, alas; here i am now. bb.
To me it is super long-lasting, it does have the potential to be a bit much (cloying); however, the bright happy fruitiness maintains, and that's what I found irresistible. I like wearing one spray and then sometimes walking through a spritz of Demeter's Gingerale, to add a little fizz.

natfran98

This perfume is INSANELY delicious. Like a sour tropical cocktail; the mango and sorbet is so intense it's amazing! Patchouli offers a slightly darker, more stable sweetness as a base. I get the tangy, sour, fizzy sharpness of the grapefruit on first spray but this fades quickly on dry down. Praline is there at certain angles giving a very subtle nutty, gourmand nuance. This doesn't smell anything like Angel. It's just a shame that the fragrance only came out as a Toilette, although I understand because of how strong and powerful the notes are, but it just means the longevity isn't brilliant. I genuinely love it and feel so happy and refreshed when I spray it.

BlackOrchidSorceress

eau Croisiere to me is a mashed mango with grapefruit juice poured over it with a dollop of vanilla whip cream. Divine.

An adopted child in the Mugler family?

This doesn't have much of the Mugler fingerprint on it as far as I can tell, or the DNA of Angel, but it's really nice. I have a hard time imagining anyone truly disliking this fragrance, it's extremely pleasant and has a tropical, carefree energy about it. It's a welcome, uplifting and uncomplicated fragrance.

It truly does open with sorbet, it smells like orange and lime sherbert, or maybe soda, I can't believe how accurate that note truly is, because it's a delicious albeit artificial fruit smell. I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever to be asked "Are you eating an ice pop or something?"; it's *that* distinctive. I would actually put money on children loving this on you as well, it's so universally appealing (I'll wear it again soon and see if my kids notice, it's their kind of scent).

As the sorbet wears down, it becomes more tartly mango and grapefruit with orange. It's a yummy, sourness that lingers for some time, this is impressive for an EDT. I don't really get the other notes, but I would've guessed there was some vanilla in here. No patchouli though!

Overall, a very good, crowd-friendly and super fun ride! 🧡 It smells decidedly *orange* to me. Although it doesn't scream "MUGLER CREATION!" it delivers on the alleged notes and vibe of the packaging and write-up.

Absolutely adore this perfume, never been a fan of the original angel perfume, way too much patchouli for me. This is like the fun, summery cousin of the original angel perfume. The mango and grapefruit instantly transport you to a tropical island sipping cocktails on the beach. In my opinion this is one of the best compositions the Mugler house has ever bought out.

mhdavis

Mango and grapefruit cocktail with a hint of angel dna. Like you were wearing Angel and spilled a sugary mango cocktail on yourself. It’s nice but I don’t love it. But then again I don’t love any of the angel line except for Muse edt. The bottle is absolutely beautiful though.

Libra73

I had forgotten that I received a sample of this with my Mugler order last year of the original Angel body oil (great product BTW). This new version is fun! In lieu of the strong blackberry note I get with the original, with Eau Croisière I get grapefruit and more grapefruit, and a bit of the barber shop effervescence of the original. Definitely seems “lighter” and perhaps “prettier” than the original. It’s quite cold here today (we actually have snow here in West Virginia which is crazy for May) so I need to wear it again on a warm day to decide whether to get a FB.

I find both the sillage and longevity to be less than those of the original, though by no means weak.

Elinamalina

Angel Eau Croisiere it's a nice inoffensive summery fragrance. Too much of mango in it for me, I can barely detect any other notes. Will stay close to skin for couple hours, and then can be barely detected at all. This fragrance reminds me of 18 year old self indulging in fruity Yves Rocher fragrances. I am not sure Yves Rocher still produces those, so will keep this guy as a reminder for happy carefree college times. Might be good on a rainy summer day. Love the bottle! Haven't tested the one from this year, but curious.

92juanjavier

I went through each and every perfume store in my city to try to get this Angel in the middle of 2020 and there was no luck, I had to buy it online.
I like it a lot, it smells like summer, a cocktail on a lounger.
What I perceive the most about this fragrance is praline, mango and patchouli.
It lasts for more than 10 hours in your skin and have a heavy sillage.
Ideal for spring and summer days and nights!
Limited edition, so if you ever run into her, don't miss the opportunity!

1Madeleine2

I love Angel and Alien and always have them in my collection of fragrances. This new beauty is also really lovely, fresh and feminine. I find it very different from Angel and Alien.

PikakeRain

This is gorgeous! Rainbow sorbet! Juicy and Scrumptious! Just a yummy Summer scent.

SmellyBliss

This is the best composition Mugler has ever released. I'm very sad it's a limited edition. Upon first spray, it's instant grapefruit mango sorbet with a fresh crush of...what is that? Juicy black currants - summertime in a bottle!

The drydown leaves a sweet, lingering fruitiness that is neither syrupy nor cloying. It's a heady, creamy, iced mango that is incredibly pleasant and sexy. I wear this scent every day.

caro78

There a new version that just came out , the bottle has different colours, it has different notes, strong smell of coconut

vanillaflower77

this perfume is so amazing i am super upset it is a limited edition. Its still available at some stores but gone from the mugler website.
I wish it was staying. Juicy sexy mango in a stunning bottle

chakalitpasshun

I agree that this has not one trace of the Angel DNA however it is still a nice fragrance. I adore Angel Muse so I assumed this would be her tropical summer sister but it is not. She wants to play in the sun and sip a Mai Tai but she doesn’t stay long. Le sigh.

BiancaDrumea

Sweet, fruity, summer in a bottle. I love it! It’s really safe unlike it’s bigger masterpiece of a sister. The mango is strong here, so is the citrus (I feel like it’s pomelo) and sweeeeet! Still love it.

Fun little thing about it in the opening, it reminds me of this gum called Turbo (kids used to collect the stickers that came with it).

tandem_4x4

I only feel mango and citrus. No Angel DNA.

Dawnfiller

I love mango fragrances and have been looking for a good one since M. Micallef Royal Mango was discontinued. This perfume is juicy fresh mango with hint of Praline and Black currant in background. Luckily the patchouli isn’t noticeable so no dirty or animalic scent.

This projects nicely about 6 feet leaving scent trail for first hour. It lasts 6-8 hours on my dry skin in high desert heat. As long as you don’t overspray it won’t be cloying. I do one spray each wrist to last all day.

This was the best blind buy and I bought 2 backups during Black Friday sale! Love it!

justtwan

Again mugler has made a fragrance that makes me hate that I'm a man. When my wife first got Angel I was blown away and afterwards she started collecting all of the Mugler fragrances and each one had some mystical smell to them that can't be touched by any other perfume. Now this new version of Angel came in the mail as a sample for her and I must say that it is exceptional to say the least so don't listen to frag nuts and give it a try. I guarantee that men and women will be complimenting you all day. Mugler is the only company that makes female fragrances that easily compare to Aventus for men. Today she received a full bottle from a shop on etsy that sell clone sprays and when she sprayed it on we were both shocked at how strong this was as an EDP. It been 8 hours now and I still smell her from 4 feet away. I'd say the clone is 95-99% accurate so it was well worth the buy and will last very long due to strength. I know that to some clones are frowned upon but if it quacks like a duck its a duck to me and I've all together stopped buying full bottles of expensive fragrances as long as I can find a quality dupe that is at least 95% close to my sample. The this smells just like a Fruity version of Angel.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

A juicy fruity fragrance that's summer in a bottle. I get mostly mango & grapefruit and a slight sorbet note and it smells fresh and fruity. Just like the male version of Mugler's Fly Away without the Cannibus but all the grapefruit. This should of been a whole new fragrance of it's own but either way it looks like it is here to stay for now on the Mugler USA website and me and my husband both love it. It's a EDT so the fragrance lasts 3-4 hours but it's an intense juicy gourmand fragrance as only Mugler would do and I enjoy it.

JustSimpleThings

It smells lovely, but to my nose, all I'm getting is mango. A nice sweet, warm mango - maybe one that has been baked as a sweet. There are virtually no changes in the scent on me; at the beginning maybe there was some citrus, which was nice and made the mango more 'fresh', but then it is just the sweet mango that remains.

It's nice, but I don't know if I want to smell like a mango!

giakerr

Love the bottle! Love the opening! Love the summery twist of the original Angel! But the combination of patchouli and mango dries down to something that can only be described as body odor. I really wanted a Mugler that I could wear in the summer, but this is just too sour with my skin chemistry.

Good_Sniffer

Mugler Angel Eau Croisiere: Very obviously tropical. The bitter green aspects of tropical fruits came out a bit too prominently at first, but faded upon wearing. It’s definitely primarily mango. I honestly thought I had found "the one."

The smell doesn’t last, unfortunately, and it faded within 2 hours into a buttery/musky smell which I really disliked and caused me to disqualify it as one of my perfumes, but I really liked it until then. What a shame.

plum

I really wanted to love it and almost it bought without test, just after sniffing the bottle. This fruity sunny coctail with delicate Angel notes was gorgeous!
But then sprayed it once and it turned sour on my skin. Longevity was also poor and I would be able to forgive it if it wasnt sour.
Again, another Angel flanker who doesn'tlove me back :(

yann33

very very nice !!!! my wife wears it and i really like on her .For me it's good unisex frag and i can see myself wearing it without any problems.

ridgel

I have gone through several samples on card. Syrupy sweet mango with a masculine edge w/ patchouli. It’s fun, I like it. Poor longevity, needs many sprays. Love the bottle. Got lots of “omg what is that???” when I had freshly sprayed it. I don’t love the scent or wear it enough to buy, however I’m glad I got to try it.

kiraagold

Airport duty-free testers are disgusting--those germs have survived tropics and tundras from all over the world--but this one was well worth the risk.

Angel "Cruise" opens loud and proud with delicious fresh mango that lasted the trudge to my gate and through fancy class pre-boarding--I was worried I would be THAT seatmate, who gives everyone in the row a headache with their perfume--but it settled nicely to a few inches off the wrist with pink grapefruit ice by the time I managed to cram my bag into the overhead compartment.

Somewhere over Greenland the sorbet gave way to Angel's signature caramel patchouli, without the amber musk that I usually find cloying. It was gone when we landed, and my connection too short to hit the shops for a bottle of my own.
Next trip, maybe.

arefuthescroob

This is a wonderful summer version of Angel :)

savacsaian

This one smells just like Haribo grapefruit gummies. It's a grown up version of a kid-like smell. I'd totally wear this. It's fun, smells nice, and the patchouli is hardly there. It's candied, but not obnoxiously sweet. Again, smells just like a grapefruit gummy.

Valeska123

Just love this fresh herbal vibe. Can’t wait to get a full bottle!!

Valeska123

Just sampled this today on paper, wish I would have applied to my skin. I wasn’t sure at initial spray if I like it or not definitely mango and grapefruit citrus. After a few minutes I fell in love, I’m not sure what combo is causing me to get an herbal vibe that I’m loving. Definitely planning on getting a full bottle.

ParisLoveXo

Received it today in the mail , very tarte mango/grapefruit vibes with the black currant . Smells great and fresh .
Longevity soso but it is nice for summer

Mrswallflower

I really enjoy this. It mostly smells like spiced mangoes and a hint of grapefruit on me and then the dry down has the original angel vibe in it. A really nice summery fragrance. Not too sweet where it annoys me but sweet, spicy, and a little dark is what I smell on me and I love it. It only lasts a couple hours on me though before I can barely smell it.

MixedTastes

My sister has worn Angel EDP and EDT for years. Smells heavenly on her, but it’s a grimy, sweaty mess on me.

I tried Angel Muse when it was first released thinking it might lean more gourmand without the grimy patch note. Nuh-uh. Smelled like a melted chocolate someone had dropped down the back of the sofa. Sickly.

But this? Oh I like! I think it’s the first ever Angel flanker I’ve enjoyed, actually. It’s mango ice cream for the first hour or so of wear. Fruity and refreshing with a bit of the Angel creaminess.. Then dries down to an Angel light with no patchouli or musk. Pleasing. Lasts hours, too.

louiee

Mango fruity punch cocktail. Best juicy mango ever
This definetely has a fresh summer vibe to it.
I mostly get mango, grapefruit and a hint of Angel dna in the shape of the patchouli.
Really nice bottle and a heavenly fresh scent.
Love the fruitiness and the skanky vibe below it.
Silage is moderate but longevity is only a couple of hours on my skin.
Love love love...wish it lasted longer.

bohemianrhapsody

Very sweet and vibrant, like a mixed tropical fruit juice. It made me think of summer holidays and cocktail bars. It's very strong and fruity on first spray, and I couldn't detect any resemblance to the original, but eventually some of the Angel patchouli skank emerged.

I didn't test it for longevity, but I had to wash my hands twice to get it off!

x-x-x-ANGEL-x-x-x

This is pure mango and it's delicious. It amells like the most amazing cocktail that would be have whilst laying by the pool in some beautiful sun drenched hideaway.

The bottle also like with all Mugler Angel bottles, is beautiful.

zhiang0113

After eyeing Eau Croisiere for months, I finally managed to get my hands on a sample!

Upon spraying this on my wrist, I was taken aback at how juicy the honeyed mango note is; I could almost see the orange nectar dripping from the pulp of the fruit. It definitely feels like a natural, sweet Thai mango, and remains so for pretty much the rest of its lifespan on my skin.

However, around 2 hours later, a hint of creaminess and earthiness from the praline and patchouli appear as the sweetness is toned down slightly, causing it to veer slightly into caramellic territory, lending the fragrance some weight.

In other perfumes, this degree of sweetness may be overwhelming for a guy, but on my skin, this is well-blended and feels like a very natural mango scent. This makes me wanna run to a clothes store just so I can rock a tropical print tee and a pair of sunglasses together with this summer juice in a bottle! (Oh, speaking of the flacon - it's simply gorgeous. Not to mention the vapourwave aesthetics of the advertisements!)

Nancy83

I remember before I bought it I sprayed it in an envelope in the store and my mom smelled it and said "nope". It was soooo strong and pure mango, but I liked that and thought it would be good for the days I want to get cozy and wrap myself in mangos. I was wrong, but I don't dislike it as much as some other Mugler perfumes I've tried. It's fruity sweet, but not sugar sweet, or sorbet sweet like I thought it would. I found the smell of Angel Eau Croisière harsh and potent, I prefer smoother and rounder tropical perfumes like Dolce & Gabbana L'Impératrice.

The first 1-2 hours I smell the Angel EDT DNA praline patchouli plus the Angel Eau Croisière mango, a lot of mangos. I love the mango scent of the opening, but nothing else, the Angel EDT DNA patchouli note doesn't work for me overall. I don't know what I was thinking buying this perfume, I should have known myself better, I think I will do skin test before buying any other Mugler fragrances from now on, but I'm still curious about the brand. Anyway. the first 1-2 hours the projection is crazy powerful, then it's more relax and everything is more tolerable and agreeable, then around 4-6 hours it gets really faint, but I still could smell it on my skin for the rest of the day.

Unlike the Angel EDT swirling bottle that I adore, I'm not a fan of the OG Angel bottle, how it can't stand vertically, I have to keep it in its box so I can put it in one of my perfume trays, it takes too much space otherwise. Also, the bottle doesn't have a cap. My spray has an uneven performance too, it sometimes spray little or moderate or squirt instead of spraying. The scent get stronger and stronger in the first hour, so I have to be careful to not overspray thinking I haven't put enough.

I don't see myself reaching for Angel Eau Croisière often, but I will use it in the right mood, the dry down is the part I prefer. I agree, the smell is close to Escada Miami Blossom, a fruit punch floral scent, doesn't have patchouli, but I wasn't wow by it either. Damn I'm not lucky this year with my tropical limited edition perfumes, I really thought they were no-brainer buys. I just wouldn't suggest to blind buy Angel Eau Croisière unless you are familiar with Mugler and Angel perfumes.

lucifera

OMG, escada tropical punch is back. Perfect scent by Mugler, come to mamma :p

Jacquis

Energetic, bright, fruity (almost berry-like),full, round, effervescent. These are the sentiments that came to mind when I sampled this. It was very appropriate for Spring/Summer. The patchouli showed up slightly, about an hour later but the perfume stays light and bright. Longevity is excellent, of course. I sprayed this on skin and it was still there 6 hours later. Really well done.

saguna

The opening is like old Angel with rotten mango and passion fruit. Very disappointing. But the dry down is to die for. Unfortunately it only lasts an hour from the start. Faced very quickly. It's not worth a full bottle purchase for me, but I will probably buy it for the bottle.

MiuMiuKitten

I tested this today and was pleasantly surprised. To me this doesn't resemble the original Angel at all, which I find too in-your-face. The whole way home I was smelling the test strip, trying to figure out what note I was catching - passionfruit. Not a juicy, fresh passionfruit, definitely more of a sorbet (I only read the official notes after testing). There is also that noticeable perfume-y note of mango and a hint of acidic grapefruit.

It is quite light, it has only been a few hours it has faded substantially. Overall I would describe this Angel as being tropical without crossing over into a fruity cocktail, it retains some maturity, there is a powderiness. I find myself wishing it had a more fresh fruit 'juicyness' and more of an edible quality to it.

I do like this, but not sure it is fbw for me. Think I will need to test drive Eau Croisière further...

Nuitdenoel

I agree with the majority of reviews. Super fruity (mainly grapefruit on my skin), refreshing, tart not sweet, and to die for bottle. I love the OG Angel but eau Croisière is a nice, summery addition to the family. Again, not sweet like eau Sucrée. Longevity is wanting but I find that my skin does that with most fruity scents.

Molly Smith

First you get a blast of fresh, sweet, yummy grapefruit. And then... nothing. The scent disappears within an hour, even from the clothes. Argh, disappointment.

Fiury22

I love the smell of this perfume, to smells like passion fruit with a slight coconut scent, very tropical. The problem I have with it is it DOES NOT LAST AT ALL. is it overpriced at $84 for 1.7 onces, is not worth the money. I own other perfumes from this line and are really long lasting, this one was very dissapointing

Kione

MANGO! and a dash of grapefruit that lasts well into the dry down. Patch and some creaminess on the base makes this perfume a very different summer fruity.
It is not refreshing-fizzy that lasts 30 min max, it is a complex less playful fruity.
Today is sunny but cool, I am loving it.

UtCal5rn

This starts out with a sweet/tart grapefruit scent blended with a ripe, juicy mango. It is so fresh that it seems like you can smell the oils that spray in the air when you start to peel a pink grapefruit, heightened by the sweet and authentic smell of a mango as if you just cut one in half and bit into it - you get a blast of the sweet juice as well as a touch of the fresh outer rind. It isn't a synthetic or candy-like sweet scent, just a fresh and juicy one. The citrus and fruity notes last into the mid notes as well, which I LOVE, because it's so hard to find a citrus top note that lasts longer than 10 minutes! The bottle is just gorgeous, and the colors match the scent of the fruity top notes perfectly.

It stays juicy and sweet but as it dries down you get just a hint of the Angel DNA - muted but still present. The patchouli is in no way a "dirty" one, it adds a green warmth that just emphasizes the overall sunny, tropical vibe of this fragrance. It's like warm, well-tanned bodies on a sunny island, dancing in the sunlight while drinking tropical drinks! I don't get a sticky, obvious praline out of this fragrance but there is definitely a sweetness that lasts through the whole experience.

On my skin the fruity top/mid notes last about 4-6 hours even though the base notes are there much longer - I can even smell it the next day - but those top notes are what I love so much, so I usually spray it again at lunchtime because those citrus/mango top notes are SO lovely. In fact, this is the first time that I have ever bought a back-up bottle of ANYTHING immediately after spraying for the first time!

PerfumeEmpress

I tried this and I really liked it.But although I sprayed myself liberally (at the mall) it was gone in minutes flat.

masako_30

I can imagine what a joy to free Angel Eau Croisière from the packaging and renew every time the explosion of its colors, a prelude to what this carefree fragrance will be.
It would give a little sparkle to my one-color bottles, once I had some so colorful. That's beautiful!
An extrovert, holiday-like perfume, still persuasive that every little spray can only brighten our heart. Made with great care, not at all naive, just modulated to the right point so as not to be excessive or lacking in something essential for the season it's aimed at.
Colorful sorbet that clearly alludes to some coconut, with mango most of the time and toffee at lenght, to enjoy until the end of summer. Wanting even beyond.

PerfumeForLainy

This one is an exotic vacation trip in a bottle for me and is exactly what I acquired it for right before my flight to a country with a hot humid climate as it looked and smelled like it would fit right inn there and it did.
The smell is beyond delicious and I wanted to wear it all the time to the point of overdosing. Gorgeous and relaxing the scent is absolutely mouthwatering, as the smell of an exotic coctail like "Sex on the beach" on a hot summer day. Mango is accompanied by ananas and they are both ripe and juicy, which is as enchanting as a good coctail can be. I know that ananas is not even listed, but that is the scent.
Even when I am back home and want to recreate that feeling of a warm sun on the skin, juicy fruit and coctails being served, relaxing on the sunbed with a perfect book.. Oh, I just spray this Angel once and I am there, instantly.
I do not know if the same magic will work in the winter, but in summer and spring it is perfect. If I want to wear it in the office, I layer it with another suitable perfume, but need only to spray it once in the hair and it stays for the whole day. Lovely.

Funny, but I am not friends with the original Angel(not the TV series, the perfume).

Astar

Love love love this gorgeous fruity scent! It's like a splash of optimism in a bottle. At the very beginning I can definitely distinguish those common notes to the original Angel, but as the time passes, all I keep smelling is mango sorbet. Indeed, not unsimilar to one of those Escada summer scents, however is definitely more sophisticated and mature.
As somebody below pointed out, I kinda get pineapply vibes here as well, however that's all about you body chemistry, I guess.

Dove01

If you love Angel - you will love this. At first spritz, the bitter opening reminds me of Roma by Laura Biagiotti - but then, it’s still unmistakably Angel. Fruity and sparkling to begin; warm vanilla and chocolate at the centre. Longevity pretty good. Ideal for Summer. The bottle is exquisite. My new fragrance for long summer days and balmy evenings. Delicious!

Berta15

Everybodyyyyy there is a NEW ANGEL EDT 2019 !!A new version of Eau de Toilette, the bottle is still star shaped but it's doesn't need a stand to hold, because the bottle is made like that, it stands alone(if it makes sense) The bottle is soft blue and the juice inside is pale pink.

The notes are :

top notes: mandarin,peony
heart: praline,juicy apple
base: patchouli,blond woods

I have it ,and OMG,what a fantastic scent,it's much much better than the 2012 version(who think it's too unisex, than this new EDT is nothing like that) the new edt is more fresher and lighter Angel with the typical DNA in it.It's amazing ,sweet and juicy apple mixed with the sweet praline and earthy Angels patchouli.Like HEAVEEEEEEN,soft, sweet, fruity, sexy.Definitely a must have for Angel lovers.
If You'r curious about the bottle check out on Instagram: bens_perfumes ( he has it already)

pnw_pluviophile

Right after spraying this on my wrists and chest, my husband walked by and asked if I was eating SweetTarts! Yes, this has a very strong tropical citrus opening but not that sweet despite my husbands' comment. I hear/read that citrus is a temperamental note when it comes to longevity, and that is the case here too. I wish the mango/grapefruit would fix longer as it is so yummy, and I've been searching for a Spring fragrance that is tropical fruit yummy but not too sweet. The Angel DNA is not far behind the citrus notes and the patchouli is a welcome background that slowly takes over for a bit before all together the fragrance disappears after an hour or two. I did catch a whiff of it after a few hours when I was on a long walk and my body warmed up but it didn't recharge for long. The initial opening is quite strong but overall it's short lived and so my search continues. Beautiful and worth smelling, not sure if it is worth the cost as you'll burn through this with reapplying throughout the day.

flowers-in-the-springtime

As a die hard 'anything TM' fan, I needed to add this to my TM collection, but it's the only one I have ever tried across the Mugler board that I didn't really like.
How do I describe this? It has a very tropical, fruity, light first spritz which sadly, smells a little, omg, dare I say, cheap?
This is like many tropical fragrances, i'm thinking Escadaish. The heart is something between candid fruit tropical with a faint Angel vibe but oh so faint. I get shades of Innocent and even Sucree but only shades. I love the aforementioned two and this is a cheap reminder, nothing more.
The dry down remains sweet, pina colada light and girly.
I'm so disappointed since Mugler is constantly reinventing themselves as a house but this is boring and has all been done before.
On a more positive note, the star bottle is gorgeous and the colour is wonderful and cheery.
I have most of the Mugler perfumes in my collection, including the exclusives and they never fail to thrill and excite me, but this one.... I think Muse would be a better option, but that's for another review.

MoonInAquarius

I'm loving this!! And I love amberonic's review below! - but I don't regularly love Angel. I normally go for sweety fruity tart frags like the Esacadas everyone mentions. (Is this the anti-Angel? I kind of shrugged at the sample like "Meh, not an Angel fan but what the hay") Now I'm desperate to buy this one, but not loving that cost for such a weak longevity. Maybe I need 4 sprays instead of just two?

I get the blackberry, the mango, and the sorbet. The gourmand praline dry-down isn't until MUCH much later. And this has to be the only obviously "strong" patchouli scent I like.

On my skin: weak longevity (sad b/c the price is high)
and moderate sillage (which I love). I live in a desert type climate too - so I imagine this would be a good fruity year round frag for me.

Maybe if Macy's has any Mother's day deals... we'll see.

SailorV

Angel combined with the sweet fruitiness of Escada summer editions sounds like a 2000s teenage fever dream come true. This concept would have appealed to me so much when I was 15 or 16, and to be honest, it still does 15 to 16 years later :)
But... Angel Eau Croisière leaves me cold. I wanted to love it, but it‘s more of a weak like. The opening is promising, I get mango and grapefruit and also some passion fruit. Juicy and delicious and with a hint of the classic Angel patchouli, part dirty, part chocolate-like. Unfortunately, it dries down too sour on me. I wish this had more Angel DNA and less tart, sharp grapefruit and currant. If this was a little warmer and sweeter, it would work so much better, but the way it is, it‘s just an overdose of sour fruits. Also, the drydown smells somewhat jumbled and undefined. The performance is okay to me, but nothing oustanding.
I tried this when it came out in winter, but also in the warm spring weather now, and it‘s just not for me. Don‘t get me wrong, it doesn‘t smell bad, just not as good as it could have.

amberonic

Candy and Green Fairies...This fragrance combines the fruity fun of an Escada type fragrance with the sweaty vs clean punch of Angel patchouli. Does not read as "jolly-rancher-that-I-found-in-the-bottom-of-a-trash-can" as some other fruity Angels can, but fresh and light; no chocolate or vanilla to my nose.

Sprayed a test on my wrist at Macy's and it left an oily sheen on my skin and projected for feet. Fruit notes fade within an hour, but the drydown is a satisfying iteration of Angel that smells great over sweat and lasts for hours. This is a great summer scent for fun-loving humans who like fruit juice and dancing. *read: this will smell great on guys*

If you're planning a summer trip (especially if you intend to take some E and stay up all night dancing to some fantastic DJ and have a cuddle puddle with your 2 best friends and the handsome strangers you've just met and smoke a fat blunt rolled in a purple-flavor tobacco wrapper at dawn) please please please pack this to be the olfactory soundtrack to your adventure.

I will admit that I mainly bought it for the GORGEOUS bottle! Wow, it is stunning! I have worn Angel since 1994, and while I still prefer "regular" Angel edP and Angel Etoile Reves more, this Croisiere is very nice. Upon application my skin pulls much more grapefruit than mango (I barely detect mango). Drydown for sure has Angel DNA, but it is lighter and to me quite reminiscent of Angel edT or Angel Innocent. Longevity is good, but not stellar by any means, and projection and sillage are decent. This is a good warmer weather Angel choice...but the bottle is a MUST have!

cranky137

Oh wow, I really really like it!!

The initial opening if a fruity mango sorbet, which say for 1h or so. So ripe and yummy.

Then it goes into a slightly watery Angle-ish vibe. I cannot understant the Reviews that say it's fresh. Yes, it is fresh - COMPARED - to original Angle, but it is STILL a potent sweet juice. It is still Heavy and you should be careful with applying.

As with all Mugler's, decent sillage and projection.

A must try to Angel fans. I bought a full bottle, just because of the color (it's Amazing!)

mirrorghost

whooaaa this is sweet. i got a free sample and i like angel so figured wth, though i knew this wouldn't be for me, but i like trying things because you never know. i get a ton of mango sorbet at first, and after a few minutes smell some underlying angel-ish notes with less patchouli. i agree with marnie_g's review for the most part. original angel (or la rose) work much better.

DT953

It's unusual. It starts out much like a Britney Spears Fantasy flanker but then heads into the original Angel territory. More enjoyable on my skin, but I love the challenge of Angel EDP more.

RJ Watson

Mugler is clearly after the audience of the Escada yearly limited editions. The bottle is fantastic and the notes sound promising

Tovah

Head-turner, gorgeous, luxurious, Mugler-all-the-way...yet, clean and fresh?! Oh, and sexy. Yes, this fragrance is brilliantly multifaceted. It has some Angel DNA, yet it's a light, breezy scent. The aroma that goes with an Alaia knit dress, a Balenciaga asymmetrical dress, a Prada silk shift, or Fendi Tuile...it's warm days, summertimes, romance, gentleness, excitement, and friendships. It suits a Caribbean Cruise perfectly. This is fruity in a grown-up, sultry way..no toffee apples or sugared raspberries. It's crisp, sparkling, and easy to feel comfortable with. I can't wait to buy it!

KylieBooFace

Angel Eau Croisière was a must-try for me. The sunset gradient bottle and vaporwave aesthetic almost sold me on the spot. Upon first sample spray, it felt avant-garde yet right. Full disclosure: I lean toward light, fruity, and gourmand scents.

I like another reviewer's comparison between Eau Croisière and limited-edition Escada fare. I do like a lot of Escada scents, but I specifically wanted a summer fragrance with orangey tropical fruits.

Angel Eau Croisière is sweet and fruity ("energizing facet") enough to please me. Its earthy depth does not turn bitter or strange ("voluptous facet"). It is fun, intense, and non-cloying. I was worried about the drydown, but it molds to my skin chemistry like a soft hug. It does not smell like a child's cupcake; it smells like an adult's semi-sweet dessert.

Eau Croisière definitely is an Angel flanker. I like the original Angel, but it can be... loud. Eau Croisière is fresher, less earthy, and slightly less sweet than Angel. But it still has the sweetness of ripe, juicy fruits. I wonder if Angel Fruity Fair is similar? I hope Eau Croisière stays in the Mugler line for good!

Tl;dr: Angel is a bold femme fatale. Angel Eau Croisière is Angel's understated sister. Angel sings a siren song, while Eau Croisière sips on a tropical cocktail and dreams of mischief.

marnie_g

As a Mugler frag lover, I don't see how this is up to snuff to be part of the Angel range. A cruise spirit, I think not. It's just a basic, generic fun summery, tropical fruity lark.

Has a similar spirit to Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret offerings. Those houses consistently make nice scents that please the masses for good value, nothing wrong with it-- just don't get it twisted by charging Mugler prices, using Mugler reputation, and dressing it up in a Mugler flacon. Yes, the cassis, praline, and patchouli drydown do give this a tiny bit of leverage, yet far from enough to pass as a Mugler in my book.

Lipglossjunkee

This opens very bright and fresh and juicy---sweet mango and tart grapefruit, very summery and tropical. You get just a glimpse of Angel DNA in the opening spritz, just enough to go "oh yes, I see you" before it's gone until the drydown. This is really heavenly, to be honest. Sunny and sweet and fun for the first couple of hours, not heavy in the least. The drydown still retains that tropical feel, but with a very soft cashmeran patchouli and a hint of creamy praline. This is not a powerhouse, but longevity seems good. The bottle is gorgeous as well.

tiger1962

Wearing a sample of this now. At first "whiff" I smelled the grapefruit and then immediately the familiar "Angel" scent. I own several different Angel fragrances (original, Sucree, etc...) and this doesn't smell like any of them except for the "Angel" part. It's literally original Angel scent dipped in grapefruit. I do like it but I'm on the fence about whether or not I should buy a full size bottle.

AHeartLikeMine

This is Mugler Innocent + tropical fruits on a light patchouli base.

HellsBelle

Reviews, and seeing how different people experience things, are fun. To me, this is indeed reminiscent of any old Escada - but it IS Angel. Indisputably so.
It reminds me of when I, a young punk in the 90s, dressed up as a "fashion girl" for Halloween; even though the outfit was perfect, I still didn't look quite right. This is Angel dressed up as an Escada - the costume is there, but she moves wrong, acts wrong, talks wrong - and this makes her stand out from the rest, unique, strong, and very much herself.
Yep. To me this is Angel, wearing a summer dress, but still twinkling.

Whit

I finally got a sample of this from Mugler. This smells like a mango sorbet! I don't get much Angel DNA in this at all, maybe just a small hint. The opening is mostly mango and that note stays strong for quite some time. After it's settled a bit, I get the grapefruit and sorbet lingering in the background. I don't get any praline or blackcurrant on my skin. When the dry down hits, then and only then, do I get the patchouli, giving it an earthy appeal.

I see this being very wearable for those that dislike the original Angel, but you must love mango; that note is very strong in this composition. I think it's lovely; very summery and flirty. I'm a little on the fence about buying it though as I have some "Summer Angels" already in my arsenal. I would like to add that sillage and longevity are moderate with this one, so it's not going to knock you out by any means. Overall, a very nice Angel flanker for summer!

Rose du soir

If it doesn't smell like Angel Eau Sucrée, it's made in the same spirit : fun and yummy ! It has a decent sillage, and from a distance it seems like a fresh Escada fragrance, but it's deceptive, get closer and Angel shows up. Very sweet mango, tart grapefruit, and it definitely has some Angel's famous chocolate. With mango and grapefruit, patchouli shows its herbal side and is much easier to wear. If you like mango, get this gorgeous bottle !

Edit : the new Angel Eau de Toilette 2019 is pretty similar to Eau Croisière, same summery fruity vibe on light patchouli and praline.

I bought this the day I saw it and I am glad as its already sold out here in every single store. It’s a great summer scent ,fresh , fruity sorbet cocktail , can’t wait to wear it more in the summer on hot days. I do not see any connection to the original , I wish it had more of the original DNA , I smell no relation of any kind. The other complaint I have is that it has a bit too much grapefruit , I wish the mango and the other fruits were more dominant .The grapefruit does fade after some time and I am impressed with the drydown and longevity of the scent. I am also loving the completely new take on it. Fruity fair from last season is still one of my favourites limited additions. This is a close second ! Also love the colours of the star. It truly smells like a fruit cocktail , it has a slight fizz maybe due to the sorbet note.

AHeartLikeMine

This is Mugler's answer to summer fruity florals. At its heart, that is what this is. You'll hardly notice the patchouli until the drydown, and even then, it's being reined in as much as possible. This is a hint of Angel and a lot of summer.

Ceruleanpeaks

I usually don't like Patchouli but I really like this blend of grapefruit and patch because it just acts as an amplifier and I get mostly mango that's not too sweet. This is going to be great for summer. It's less sweet than escada perfume but it's not as Patchouli heavy as Elie Saab Resort.

Amandaa

Very fruity and juicy start (i smell MANGO!), not much “Angel” but at the end it all comes to the famous patchouli we were are all expecting from it. Yes, this is a young and flirty version of the so famous Angel but like always, Mugler will not let the patchouli unnoticed. I think this is a lovely yummy version for the summer!

genny17

I don't get why it is compared to Escada or bath and body works...this has The Angel signature all over, I detect the dirty patchouli from the top notes...it is mixed with fresher notes, but the overall tone is still rather warm, and i personally don't care for it..I much prefer Eau sucre, Croisière ends up being a fruitchouli, which isn't what I like best .
If you like Angel you might enjoy that fresher version.

SmellyLauren

I absolutely love this. It’s not juvenile or cheap smelling to me at all. It’s a sofisticared summer scent for a fun and joyful day. I registered grapefruit as the main attraction, but when I saw mango, it made so much sense as there was something I couldn’t put my finger on. There is a hint of spice, or some other type of warmth which makes it a rich scent and not a bath and body works one. Very unique and I love it!

rachellecunningham

Delicious, tropical-sweet mango/blackcurrant sorbet. Now, I'm not a fan of the original Angel. I liked the Muse EDT, and Fruity Fair was alright, but Eau Croisière is a little glass star I can get behind. It's nothing complex, but it doesn't need to be. My favourite summer scents have always been the sweet, fruity ones - they're charming and fun, just like the season they're made for!

I used to have an Escada perfume in high school that had the same juicy mango note (it was Island Kiss), and I miss it dearly. This version of Angel really brought me back. I actually sprayed it on paper at the store, and put it in a little pouch in my purse so that I could keep smelling every time I opened it. I couldn't stop! It does a great job of reminding me that if I could live off of mango sorbet, I would.

Punkrockbebop

I feel like this scent is trolling me, and it probably is. The progression:

1) first impression is just a pretty, light, fruity mango-citrus tropical that feels like it’s not strong enough, and is going to fade off way too soon
2) 1/2 hour later: the entire subway car smells like a rude, linear, loud, Carmen Miranda-style tropical fruit cocktail. Did that one tiny spray in the store produce this?
3) One hour later: the patchouli comes to the surface along with something else that makes everything take a very dark turn and becomes a bunch of rotting fruits that yet are also cold, robotic, and synthesized at the same time. An alien race has taken over the ship.
4) two hours later, it’s already starting to fade towards it’s inevitable demise.

The experience reminds me of one of those Renaissance still life paintings which show the entire cycle of life and death in one single basket of fruit and flowers, with the juicy, young and fresh fruits and flowers on the left, proceeding over to the rotting end on the right side of the painting. Only the entire thing takes place in the span of two hours, and it was painted by aliens.

lmwimsatt

Im goin to have to agree with my mortal enemy on this one. Lol. This smells like your basic bbw summer offerings

gelkita

Nice very sorbet zesty grapefruit opening and middle notes. I didn’t let it dry down as I tested it on my hands and I washed them not long after.
Not enough to make me ask for a sample or buy it.

CosmicSupernova

I have a new favorite Angel...based on paper spray anyway. I am not an Angel fan, I do like the EDT because it goes a little fruity but original Angel and any very similar flanker aren't for me. Patchouli and I aren't friends. This is so JUICY. It reminds me of hubba bubba gum, just this intense burst of juicy fruity flavor that makes your mouth water. Very bright and youthful. I will concede that it would be a good Escada scent, but it is what it is. I like it more then last years Fruity Fair, which has a different fruit vibe and doesn't scream juicy to me. I think the grapefruit is what pushes the juicy note, it adds a zing without being too citrus. And I like that it gives tropical vibes without the ever present coconut or pineapple note in tropical perfumes. I don't get any patchouli really, or praline, which are 2 notes that go straight sugar to me. This is sweet without being sugary.

Edit: I tried it on skin for the first time and all that lovely juicy mango fades away early and I'm left with Angel, which I don't like. It's funny how I don't pick up any patchouli on paper. Angel is too heavy for me. Had to scrub it off after an hour, what a shame. It's definitely an Angel flanker. Still the best of the bunch though.

eloisegirl

Super fruity fun blast for the summer of 2019 - but you could get the same effect with an Escada at half the price. Notes are apparently mango/grapefruit but I swear I could smell a guava/pineapple blend. Anyhow, it's deliciously juicy and smells like gorgeous ripe tropical fruit, or an umbrella drink, or just a fun summer day on the beach. About an hour later, a bit patchouli shows up and three hours in, there's the praline. Bottle is a gorgeous sunset orange in the classic Angel shape. Very nice gift for the young person in your life who is taking their first adult sun destination vacation - will trigger happy memories down the road.

justchillinxo

I really like this! To me it honestly smells like fresh grapefruit. I usually don't like citrus in perfumes but this one is very fresh and realistic. The thing is I'm not sure it's worth the money, it's not complex at all. But i would get it if i had spare cash :)

Swedelish

Angel is that you??? I could have sworn you were an Escada summer release disguised in this beautiful star bottle!

I would never in 100 years guess this was a Mugler creation. No distinctive top notes, base notes or development. Just a veeeerry inoffensive, sweet summery fruity scent that smells like something I would have had in high school. It's fruit punch!

It doesn't smell bad. It's light and cute and fun and easy to wear. You're not going to offend anyone smelling fruity and sweet.

I wouldn't say I'm disappointed because I had no idea it was being released prior to testing. I would have liked to see a more interesting flanker, but majority of everday buyers don't think like that so it's understandable why they would release a scent like this. They're aiming at a wider market. More than anything I'm just taken back by how non-Angel it is.

It would be a good first Mugler for someone who likes Escada perfumes and likes the beautiful Angel star bottle but doesn't like Angel itself. Or good gift for someone who likes perfume and doesn't have a broad taste for fragrance yet.

Edit: The patchouli does come out in the dry down a bit so hey, it's Angel now ;)

najgirl

I bought this because it was something new with a cool looking bottle, but I'm not sure I love it. First of all, I should put out there that I was never super crazy about the original, though I have come to appreciate it. The flankers for the most part all share a very sharp (almost herbal type note in the opening that I don't care for), this one being no exception. There is definitely a tropical vibe, but it's not a creamy, sweet scent. The citrus and sorbet are very strong in the opening, and that sharp herbal opening takes on a quality reminiscent of Ricola lemon cough drops. This harsh opening punch soon dissipates, and the perfume wears better as it develops. becoming much more pleasant after about half an hour. Overall, It's not bad, but nothing I will buy again, wear, or even make part of my bedtime perfume-testing ritual..

Dungey

To me this smells like if trident tropical twists gum was a fragrance.

alarmingcarmella

Oh, no. I was so excited to try this flanker--cute colors and seems like a fun summer scent. This is NOT a classy beachy, fruity scent. This makes me think of Panama City FL spring break, neon, and being sixteen years old. Maybe I'd like a drink that smelled like this fragrance but I will definitely not wear it. I also don't smell ANGEL in this at all but perhaps this is because I had to wash it off before the dry down.

ApathyAngel

At first I wasn't quite impressed. This is really tart and acidic in the first spray. I mean, I adore the smell of grapefruit, but this was a lot, even for me.

And I didn't smell any of the Angel DNA underneath.

But after a couple of days, once I got used to it, it mellowed out.

It's like they turned up the tartness from Eau Sucree, to the point that it dominates everything else.

But, once you get to know it, you start to recognize the familiar sweet, dirty smoothness that made Angel such a powerhouse. There definitely is some Angel in this. Not a lot, but some.

A good summer fragrance, good daytime, fun fragrance, while still far from generic or boring.

avierra93

got my samples in today, i LOVE this, not like angel at all, definitely should have been its own fragrance but hey the bottle is beautiful so ill take it with no complaints. very very summer party scent, agreed that it smells more like an escada than a mugler. ive ordered a bottle and cant wait for it to arrive. if i like it enough i might get a second bottle. if you smelled and liked body fantasies Diva Latina spray(the orange fluid) before it was discontinued youll love this.

CGreenmama

I got a sample of this recently. I LOVE the original Angel, always have. Well this has NONE of the Angel DNA. It just smells like a fruity generic fragrance. I was so excited to try it but it’s a huge let down. This should’ve been released as it’s own fragrance and not an Angel flanker.

ForrealMe2

Mugler just sent me this sample of Angel Eau Croisiere and the new Secret EDT fragrance.. i'm going to review that next so check out for that review if your wanting to know what that fragrance is all about but as of this moment Fragrantica doesn't have Secret EDT listed yet but it's up on the Mugler Website it's a new fruity floral fragrance..once Fragrantica posts up Secret EDT I will let you know what it smells like..I have heard no one talk about that fragrance yet because it is so fairly new..Back to Croisiere or Angel Cruise..this is based on the concept of the spirit of when your enjoying your voyages on a cruise and the whole tropical feel..the advertising is compared to the 80's & 90's Miami Vice like theme..I use to live in Florida and it's definitely got that Florida summer time T-Shirt look and feel to it..you Floridian's know what i'm talking about..very neon and bold with pinks and oranges..Oh this is a good fruity fragrance and a stand alone in itself..it does not smell like angel at all...It has mango right from the get go and it's a very natural mango nice fruity juicy mango..then mixed with it is a wonderful fresh zesty grapefruit..it's the same wonderful grapefruit that you smell in Mugler's new cologne called Fly Away..that one has Grapefruit mixed with Cannibus and strangly that fragrance is weird but amazing and my favorite from the whole collection besides Run Free which to me is like the male version of what Alien Man should have been because the Sambac Jasmine note is in that fragrance and it's a purplish pink juice..In Angel Cruise the juice is very heavy fresh in the beginning but then it lightens up as a usual EDT does..my only issue with it is longevity as with any EDT and I only got 3-4 hours tops on my skin with it lingering on the clothes longer slightly..this definitely was made for the Summer time when it gets really hot..To me this is the female version of Mugler's Fly Away! I love it..if you love Escada fragrances or fruity fresh citrus fragrances for EDT's I think you will love this if you love Mango's and Grapefruit..and the bottle looks stunning..I almost want to get it just for the bottle because I love the whole concept Mugler has been doing recently with their bottles and ombre affects! Good job Mugler..

KitKat

Possibly my fave summer Angel so far. It is light, fun, playful very fruity but not in the sweet way nor citrusy. It's like a fun summer fruity cocktail. There is a hint of angel somewhere in the background. Beautiful bottle too! Longevity and sillage are rather soft

I<3Perfume

Are you guys going to bring up ALIEN FUSION soon? Anyway it has Top Notes of Ginger and Cinnamon. Heart Notes of Tuberose and Orange Blossom. And Base Notes of Vanilla and White Amber. The Bottle is a Cherry Red color with the mens edition in a Blue Bottle. I'm telling you. You guys should hire me. Sigh.

jovejove

You get a hit of Mango and Grapefruit, with a deep cassis tone. There is a background to Angel somewhere in there, but it closely resembles an Escada fragrance over an Angel scent. Expect there to be “Cruise Collection” scents in the future as well; this is going to be the new summer limited edition direction most likely, a tie in to the cruise collection of fashions. The new or continuation of the “aqua chic” collection is how I’m looking at it, but with a different direction.

EmHamburg

I'm in LOVE! I already tried it twice and this is what I get: a strong cocktail of tropical fruits way too acid the first 10 seconds, but it dries into a powdery and well rounded reminiscent of the scented cards that we had in the childhood. It is also very fresh but suitable for winter time. The scent lasts days on clothes and hair. One of the best perfumes I've ever smelt. DELICIOUS!

Please, charge the page for the new Alien fusion, it is the best Alien flanker, like essence absolue but lasts even longer and projects more... you will see!, LOL

What a masterpieces! Great releases Mugler, I'm very surprised ;)

asianlover

Sounds fantastic! Can't wait to try! And that bottle! This one is definitely on top of my wishlist ♡
