I have other fragrances that contain cannabis or somewhat that such as Gucci Intense Oud, Black Afgano etc This one is the one not only gets me complimented half the time I walk in a gas station or being around people I know. But I myself love it more than the other cannabis offerings. I don’t know if it’s the labdanum or the vanilla pod that it says it contains, But there is a buttery sweetness in the late dry down of this..I can even sweat in this and get complimented..Although complements are not what I search for in my fragrances..I view myself as a unique person who likes lots of unique different things, But when lots of others like it as well, It’s that much more of a win! I have alot, But this will eventually be a repurchase item When I run out.

I love this scent - it's definitely in my top 10 or even 5. I know it's an amber fragrance but I think if it more like a fougere - it smells very green to me. Not really like weed green but like growing plants. I love how unisex it is - I like a lot of 'masculine' leaning scents and this is one of them. I really don't get the vanilla or sweetness that many reviews here discuss. I definitely get the patchouli and spices - but to me this will always be a green fragrance. Not a sharp green more softer and spicier. I frankly think this is one banging scent. Gorgeously blended

Totally signature scent worthy! And yes you could wear this to work!

Wearing it right now and unique is definitely the right word. Firstly, right at initial spray is the only time I smell cannabis, but it’s strong and definitely cannabis for about a minute, combined with a baby wipe alcohol scent. And honestly for the first minute I was scared I wasted my money, but immediately the sweetness and woodiness came in, and it stays for a long time. The incense, spices, and patchouli come in as the green from the cannabis leaves, and it honestly turns pretty fruity, mixed with a very dry, powdery wood, and some spice. I was surprised when there wasn’t mandarin or bergamot notes. Cause it stays pretty bright refreshing and fruity for a while

It just continues to develop so smoothly and nicely for the whole life of the scent, as the green and fruity feel fades, it just gets more woody, sweet, and spicy. And towards the end (8-10 hours later) it’s a nice woody, alluring skin scent. On clothes it lasts days and comes off a lot more sweet and woody than on skin.

Overall it’s amazing and unique, but absolutely an acquired taste, if you don’t like powdery, or intense then don’t go for it. Projecrion and longevity are great. Only drawdowns are how harsh it is at the very beginning, and sometimes in the first hour it can smell like grandma or grandpas house when the powder, spice, and patchouli all combine. Other than that I LOVE this fragrance, definitely get a sample and see for yourself. 9/10

It does smell like Pomegranate Noir, more sweet and less sour

rubenp00

very weird… minty-ish in the beginning(probably the cannabis?) with an incense background.
I’ll wait for the full dry down and let yall know

Banana kush !! That’s all it should be named. Nevertheless an amazing release. Full marks on uniqueness

shahp2

Recently acquired my initial Hindu Kush bottle, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The initial notes are intense, but the fragrance mellows into a captivating and spicy dry down. Has anyone experimented with layering Hindu Kush with Initio Oud for Greatness? I gave it a try today and was pleasantly surprised by the result—a long-lasting rendition reminiscent of the YSL Tuxedo fragrance.

robbiebgg

Love this - opens with a clove bomb and then settles down into a lovely musk. Not as strong on the incense as I thought it might be.

Lizabs68

Amazing scent, I’m getting a backup bottle. 10/10

Hindu Kush exudes a distinctly bohemian essence, reminiscent of a forest's soul. It conjures the aroma of a bonfire that has gently extinguished in the early morning, following a late-night downpour. This fragrance captures the earthy scents of forest undergrowth, blending the dampness of weeds and grass with a pleasantly spicy undertone. It embodies the free-spirited nature of hippies, conveying a message of liberation and connection with nature. The perfume's complex layers unfold to reveal a harmonious blend of earthy, smoky, and spicy notes, creating a sensory experience that transports you to a serene, natural setting.

I sampled this fragrance, and I have to say, everytime I wear it, I get headache

One of the wrost perfumes i ever blind buy it , it just smells like arabian hanna rotted .

I first tried my decant a year ago and hated it. I just tried it again to see if I like it any better. Alas, it still smells like walking through the candles section at a Hallmark store in the late 90's. Or a high end head shop. Either way it's very sweet and smell of mulled wine spice or a hundred different holiday candles blended into one. I can see how someone might appreciate this one as it is well blended but its just not for me. It feels muddled and there's just no direction to it. Leans feminine IMO due to the excessive sweetness and overall boring. Excellent longevity and probably one of the best sillages out there. I just don't want to smell like the candles section of the Hallmark store...

I feel this Frag gets a lil too much hate vibes online....????Not sure if it's the "weed" associated name and expectations of the "cannabis" vibes which it doesn't project or push through really any apart from a greenish vibe which I do get .I think it's actually a bit of hidden gem really and most strange fragrance Ive ever owned in a weird unique way ,as it's not a scent people ever recognise ,plus you can wear anytime /anywhere but it's all the questions I get....Ive never had a fragrance trigger so much interest in asking what am I wearing??? with intriguing questions and not negative all positive just mixed opinions of the scent from person to person but one thing common is it gets people confused I laugh and give them the name & apparent cannabis note vibe and people still keep thinking about (Im not talking handful of people but seriously pretty much everytime I wear)...usually unable to put the finger on "exactly" what the notes that they feel are which I ask (most more claim "fruit" vibes)=people are puzzled or just straight up complements from it which I have had perhaps more than some Mancera "Bangers" I own.

Ghayal303

This is amazing scent, For those who want to step in herbal green scent this is perfect one for them, Open with Hint of smoke cannabis and fresh spicy with cannabis, it turns more smoky in the middle for sometime then becomes woody amber scent with vanilla playing role in background to give that little sweetness to it, totally awesome not too linear not too complex, not too herbal and smoky..Projecttion and sillage is strong and last 24 hours straight..i dont think its winter scent i can wear it anytime of the day or night....something unique from mancera

Dom Positano

This is a strange one because I don't really get what it's trying to be. I don't really get the majority of the notes. In fact, I would bet that if people smelled this blind without seeing what the notes are supposed to be, very few would give the reviews they are giving. Someone said it's like a toned down version of Interlude... what?? Others said it's grassy and smoky... a bizarre description.

I've had this over a year and worn it a lot; I wanted to understand it and give it a chance to develop but unfortunately it remains a linear mix of sweet nothingness.

One person below @Rex Sovereign did give a very accurate description - a saccharine metalic sweetness, an excellent description. This sweetness really masks any other notes. There's maybe a bit of labdanum but you really have to look for it. I don't get smokiness or cannabis or woods or spices. I think this is one example where a fragrance does unisex poorly, just can't decide what it is.

I struggle to think what occasion this is suitable for...

...This is strangely accurate. All season, all weather but not really aligned with any obvious situation. I think it's from the dominant saccharine sweetness.

A real shame tbh. It maybe stems from Mancera pumping out fragrance after fragrance, a lot of which end up smelling similar because they are obsessed with "beastmode". Oddly enough this is not beastmode despite the sweetness attacking the senses.

It's a very soft synthetically sweet linear fragrance. It's almost a great fragrance but it falls short.

Blue hulk

Feels pretty linear on my skin coming off as green, sour, resinous with a very soft vanilla undertone, projecting very little with good longevity. Perfect for fall.

Very green and fresh at opening. Not sign of weed smell. Dry down very warm and cozy. Not a blind buy. You need to give a chance to this scent to open and allure You. At first trial I got note of sulfur on dry down that I didn’t like. As I got used to I started appreciate. It You know Mancera You will notice it’s DNA if not You will discover nothing You knew before. Not a blind buy. Great fragrance next to Cedrat and Red Tobacoo. Lasting 3 days on my skin even after shower.

TheDogfatherHTX

When looking for cannabis scents, this one came up a lot. I admittedly enjoy the scent of cannabis, so I decided to give this one a try. Let's discuss;

Scent:
Opening is green, smokey, woody, and spicy. The most prominent notes I get off the top are cannabis, incense, spice notes, and wood notes. The labdanum is there as well, but in a supportive way to offer a deepness to the other notes. The cannabis note in this fragrance isn't the stereotypical cannabis aroma you associate with smoking. It's more like fresh, wild cannabis plants. Into the dry down you still get the cannabis note, but the woods, patchouli, and vanilla are more prominent.

Performance:
As to be expected, the initial projection is nuclear. My wife was able to smell this before I even stepped into the room. The sillage matches this intensity with a heavy scent trail. However, unexpectedly after about 5 hours the projection and sillage were nearly gone and this had become a skin scent. I'm not sure how it went from such a strong performer to a skin scent in such a short amount of time.

When to wear:
This is an all season fragrance suitable for any weather, day or night. I wouldn't wear it to the office though, for obvious reasons. Not really what I would consider a date night fragrance either. This is more of a fragrance you wear when you're just going out and about.

Blind buy:
This is not a blind buy worthy fragrance. The scent is not going to appeal to everyone, and the lack of longevity will bother some people like it did with me.

Final verdict:
The fragrance is okay. It's niche quality, for sure; so it has that challenging aspect a lot of niche fragrances will have. It's different, and I like it for that reason. But other than that, it doesn't really do much for me. I'm not sure I feel it was worth the $75 I paid for it. In my opinion, there's much better scents from Mancera worth picking up. If I were to go for a cannabis fragrance, I'd go for Mugler's Fly Away Cologne or Carolina Herrera's Bad Boy Le Parfum before this one.

Longevity: 5/10
Sillage: 5/10

This is a patchouli fragrance, hence the reference to Hindu Kush. The green dank smell could well be translated to marijuana but its plain old patchouli. In the opening they have used that new banana leaf/iris accord that L’artisan used in their banana fragrance, which gives it a bit more of a wilderness feel when combined with the woodsy notes. Somewhere in there is the usual spices like cinnamon and nutmeg (eugenol). and ofcourse some amber and vanilla for sweetness. Being a patch whore, I love this. As for incense…what incense?

Detman101

Oh wow...I didn't expect this!
I ordered a sample of this fragrance to test it out...fully expecting some stinky "Pothead Aura" fragrance like all the "Black Afgano" clones. This one is super smooth, not heavy on the "pothead" funk, very mature and woody as well! Definitely VERY green, but smooth and buttery...not piercing and sour like "Encre Noire".
It has a sweetness to it that I didn't expect. This is pretty nice!
Again, I am completely stunned at this fragrance being so smooth. I thought for sure ALL "Green" fragrances were sour bitter eye-watering concoctions that i'd have to avoid.

I'm going ask the wife what she thinks. If it passes her approval, I'll wear the sample to work tomorrow and see how it's received. If no one complains about smelling "Weed" I'm going to purchase a full bottle.

Update:
Hmmm.....naaaaaaaah...Gave it a full wear today and the far drydown of this is a sour woody green mess just like "Encre Noire". I've already got a bottle of that AND a clone of it...don't need any more of that kinda stuff.

Scentery

I purchased it 6 months ago and still don't get this scent. If someone asked me to explain how it smells, I simply couldn't. It's everything from this page, all the accords, the notes, but to my nose, nothing specific comes up. To me it smells a bit sweet, grassy, oily, a bit sickening. I still hope I'll understand it one day, until then, it's a big enigma.

massimilianoinquieto

remaker

This thing smells like if you walked into a really cool, modern pet store, walked around a bit and ran into a friend from high school that used to light up, but only at parties. He cleaned up, got a shave, but he's still that chill dude and he invites you for a beer. On your way out, you run into your teacher and stop for a chat. As you are leaving, a waft of powdery makeup air catches you and you can't seem to shake it.
Perhaps a good cigar might wash it off?
A scent that reminds me of all the little things that you walk by and don't think much of. It brings up your mood whenever you think about days like that.

ISmellGood93

This stuff is definitely its own little thing. Gave it a good wearing today, and it did not disappoint. Great sillage, great projection, and great longevity. Got a couple of compliments off the rip with it. It starts off, like most Mancera fragrances, a slight mess of things happening... I get a good sharpness of something a little feminine, but it quickly is overridden by a sweet incense with a very musky amber vibe. I do also get a bit of the vanilla note.

As for it smelling of cannabis. Lol. I am an all day every day type of guy with cannabis. That said, it doesn't have that sort of smell to it at all. Maybe as others have said, there's a little of something "green" in there, but it doesn't smell like weed. Lol. If anything, they took weed and made it smell 100000% more pleasant if that's what this is.

Happy with this... Like everything I've bought lately, it was a blind buy, and I would say, for most, I wouldn't blind buy it, but I had a pretty good inkling I would like it, and I do! I would imagine it not handling a really hot summer day, but to me, its an all season, day or night vibe. 10/10!

Henchman21

It doesn't smell exactly like cannabis, but it reminds me of my stoner friend's place. The cheap incense, the vanilla perfume, the patchouli oil, the clove cigarettes, all covering up the lingering grassy musky smell of previously smoked blunts. All coming to together in a way that may be reminiscent of weed, but doesn't smell like fresh, dank buds.
And because it doesn't smell exactly like weed, it's actually perfectly safe to wear to work and school. It's a green spicy, ambery compliment getter that's perfect for autumn weather.

BananaXango

This is a potent green scent with an underlying touch of spicy amber. It is definitely unique and I applaud Mancera for not just dropping another vanilla or citrus-based fragrance and going on vacation. It deviates heavily from the current saccharine trends. You will need to love herbals to enjoy putting this on. The top note and name are both causing a lot of confusion because people are actually expecting "kush" and the listed cannabis. I recognized this smell immediately and it is definitely not leaves, buds, or stems. It's a very specific and thick (and cheap) hash smell that I've had burned into my olfactory memory since high school. If you haven't smelled that incredibly unique funk this will be a total miss for you and register as some odd plant note. I understand people getting tobacco, oud, banana, seaweed, nag champa, clove, and all other sorts of bizarre smells out of this because it's a confusing mixture. I'd love to know what chemical they used. "Head shop" is a fairly accurate appraisal. When it finally tapers off after an hour or so you can start to register sharp incense and spice notes. This is a major improvement over the top, which will fatigue you.

Honestly this is a tough recommend and there aren't many situations where I want to radiate a smell like this. Probably not office safe and I would not wear this much indoors. It's worth sampling though if tonka bean syrups and vanilla elixirs are starting to make you ill. But would you believe me if I told you Hindu Kush layers beautifully? If you have a sample and have given up on it, try experimenting some.

Feroz.k.ak

It's good one from mancera. May be my favorite from the house.

Would give it more wearing and would update

So... I just got a bottle of Gucci Oud Intense yesterday (blind buy). Sprayed in the air, and swiped to my nose. I loved it, I thought it was amazing. This morning I thought I would give it a full wearing, and as I started going about my day I was like this reminds me of something in my collection. I was like what is it.... Then it came to me Hindu Kush! I don't know what it is maybe the Amber, but to my nose as Gucci Oud Intense drys down alittle it smells like Hindu Kush.

Mina Fouad

Recently I opened my second bottle.. the people still confused.. wondering... what is that I am wearing ?? ... and I still keep it as a secret..
Indeed this is the number one in between all the Manceras.. a fragrance for the four seasons.. in winter u will smell cannabis and insense.. in summer u will pick banana and olive.. only for the leaders not for boys .. magical sillage and performance ✨️

garantis28

Hindu Kush. Someone was smoking when they made this for sure. Maybe it's the incense, maybe it's something else. Straight away, there is a sharp green note in the opening. It's almost sour like a green apple but without any of the sweetness. This is absolutely needed to counteract the incense/oud/amber, at least on my skin. There is a subtle body odor component, that just doesn't work for me underneath. With the green note, it's okay, but without that green opening, the dry down just smell downright nasty. I think it's heavy on the amber and incense, which just doesn't work for me.

If you have skin type that works well with incense and amber, this might be a home run for you. The green opening is something totally different from most fragrances that are structured similar to this. Definitely interesting, definitely unique, definitely not for me. This is 100% a must sample before buying a full bottle.

Datura-Darling

Well... this is not what I expected. At all! First off, it doesn't smell like cannabis in any form whatsoever...not the fresh bud, not old dried out bits of leaf left in an old dusty drawer, not sticky or fudgey hash, not sweet herbal smoke, nor joint ends left in an ashtray. There is no cannabis here.

Instead of the cannabis I was hoping for, I get something vegetal, herbal, and a rather rank in a sort of dirty shallow pond, filled with pond weed sort of way. After this opening, it smells like fish!!! Not stinky older fish, but fresh caught fish. Why is this happening? Anyone else? This is not what I was ever expecting from the list of notes on this one. As it dries down - Nori. It smells EXACTLY like these seaweed crisp snacks I used to eat all the time.

I cannot say I want to smell like dried seaweed and some dry and funky herbal note, that I cannot pin point exactly as any of the notes listed. I'm scrubbing this off, as it isn't going anywhere or getting any better.

lifnisanders

A strong amber with a bit of sweetness to it. The cannabis are hardly noticable.

Betsywoolbright

Got a sample of this, and was hoping for something that smelled like weed, but wearable. This isn't it. It's overwhelmed by the fake oud base common to all the Montale/Mancera/Comptoir Sud Pacifique perfumes I've encountered. That molecule clogs up my olfactory receptors, and I can't discern any other notes. Too bad.

Jewmack

I have been an advanced indoor cannabis cultivator for over 15 years. An actual grower with a purpose built facility… not some goofy closet grow. I’ve bred several strains, bought MANY different cultivars over the years, and have germinated over 700 seeds in my lifetime (cloned tens of thousands).

I mention that because… I KNOW the smell of cannabis. And this? This is not it.

But boy does this fragrance smell amazing. It’s definitely not for everybody. I cannot see the younger generation wearing this and I cannot see women pulling this off (for the unisex crowd).
But I do genuinely love this fragrance.

That initial spray is very unique and “green.” If there is any resemblance to cannabis, it’ll only be that initial spray. But shortly thereafter, that incense takes over. Making it smell like a more restrained version Interlude by Amouage.

Followed by a girthy dollop of tobacco. This fragrance reminds me of interlude, red tobacco, and wind wood mixed in one.

I believe this may be Mancera tops 3 fragrances. However… it is NOT a safe blind buy.
If you’re looking for a mass appealing fragrance, this won’t be it.
If you do like unique fragrances, this would be a safe choice. It smells so damn good.

I’d rate it an 8.8/10

Aizen1987

Opening was decent for a few minutes , but after that it smells like bunch of cut leaves and grass. Very bitter & green.
I always fear it will go to a fishy note, but thankfully it never goes there ,but its like that treat is always looming over my head.

For real beautiful & clean weed fragrance try 'smoke for the soul by kilian'.

After long hours (7+) of dry down it do becomes a pleasant skin scent.

Unmodernize

The categories/note profiles pictured here (red, brown, grey) is NOT what I am smelling!

On paper it seems a bit funky and woody so I was hesitant, but on my own skin it turns quite green and fresher than imagined.

Really not getting cannabis either, compared to say the Bad Boy perfume, which is on a whole different level.

I do not smell Banana, but I can see where that is coming from. A mildly sweet fruity tropical vibe is in the mix.

The frag is - unlike the other 10 manceras I tried - leaning masculine, quite fresh and highly original.

Edit: Ah. The drydown goes to that earthy funky territory. Not sure I like the direction.

Markja

Not a blind but
I initially got cloves peppers cinnamon and leather and something herbaceous
Did not like the first 5 minutes then started to keep smelling this in the air and started to enjoy, after an hour it’s still spicy cloves and herbs with wet woods lol, it’s projects for a few hours and last on skin about 10 hours , probably all day on clothing. I won’t buy this but did enjoy wearing this for a day , probably best in cooler weather and cool summer evenings. For me this is not a crowd pleaser as it’s so different from most stuff we smell in office or on streets. I would enjoy this hiking out in the sticks.

HDM80

Opening smells of weed. Something like how your clothes smell after a hot box. About 30 minutes later, it smells like a bag full of wet cut grass and incense. Definitely unique. Not safe or mass appealing, but definitely an interesting smell that you will keep wanting to sniff.

sgd11

Instant blind buy regret. Not a bad fragrance at all, but certainly not something I’d wear. This to me, is a toned down version of Black Afgano which I got rid of a long time ago. Reminds me of a hippy shop, no thanks.

DuftHexe

AMAZING! When wearing a sample of this „nectar of the Gods“. Love at first sniff! I felt transported into another time (and world). The Middle East Souk, or 1970s rock concert surrounded by hippies, or being in a deep dark head shop. Delicious incense notes combined with green, spicy (clove), amber, animalic, sweet vanilla and a touches of powder and earthiness. Sweetness decreases on dry down, and is replaced with a woody, amber, greenness. Dry down is a bit sharp, less „churchy“ (sweet incense notes). I don‘t pick up any distinct cannabis notes at all. Incredible projection and sillage. A little dab will do ya! It lasts just about forever. Make no mistake…This fragrance is heavy, intoxicating, and insanely sexy. A selection for experienced noses. Purchased a sample, and absolutely investing in a full bottle of EDP. This will be my in my winter fragrance collection.

Rex Sovereign

Heard about this from the Perfume Guy. I don't get the interest. It's a synthetic concoction that stays in your clothes for days. Doesn't smell like cannabis to me. It tries to be something it's not. Definitely has a saccharine sweet metallic vibe similar to Tidy Bowl. Might like it in my toilet, but not on me.

Spadz97

After more time and wearing of this fragrance, I have had to update my previous review. I have come to really enjoy this fragrance particularly in colder temperatures. Pretty much every time I have worn this fragrance I have been complimented either by work colleagues or family. The spices and amber are by far the main accords in the fragrance and smells absolutely phenomenal in the air. I still recommend to sample before you buy however for me personally I have really grown to love this scent.

PerfuMartin

Hard to rate. It smells like bananas and lychee but also pee and BO. It's like...it wants to be positive and energetic but it's.... weird.

Whateverwhocares

Fresh, candied greenery. Synthetic bouquet of flowers, sweet woodsy greens and mild spices.

Mild B/O vibes on dry down.

In the same league as Komkat Wood and Montale’s Wood & Spices, but the best of the three due to the sweet green Jolly Rancher aura.

I’d keep a bottle if it were re-formulated with more of a cannabis accord. Missed opportunity if it’s not released on 04/20/24.

Airylove

Earthy, a little sweet, bit spicy and unique overall. Only for matured nose.
Try before you buy.

Longevity- Lasts more than 12 hours on clothes.
Projection -Great projection for 2-3 hours, easily noticeable for 5-6 hours.
Sillage - Decent for 2-3 hours.

NoirMemoir

Mancera Hindu Kush starts up really acidic, at first i thought the alcohol hasn't dissipated but after a while i realised it couldn't be couse this acidic punch in the nose lasted way too long for it to be the alcohol. These first few minutes i don't find pleasant. After that you get a sour herbal scent which again is on the dislike side for me. In about half an hour the sourness turns into sweetness while retaining the herbal aspect which is basicly the fragrance for the rest of its life. At this point i find it alot better actually, tamed.

Kudos for the uniqueness of the fragrance, the acidic and sour opening i could manage eventually if the dry down would make up for it, but despite the redeeming sweetness, its not enough to warrant a purchase for me.

It is still very interesting in the drydown by the way, thanks to the herbal note. It's a bit creamy...almost like a tea and i think thats coming from the labdanum. Often in perfumery, herbal or vegetal notes go in the dark wet forrest or mossy direction but not this one. This is a bright vegetal fragrance, like sour herbs on a bright sunny day.

Test this beforehand, i don't recommend blind buying.

Update: Gave the sample another testing and this time i don't pick up on the acidic aspect. Its still sour, almost alcoholy (not to be confused with boozy like whiskey, cognac or liqueur, not at all), very green and bright vegetal. I can see the vegetal tone of this fragrance appeal to some and who knows, i might turn around on this one myself.

monsieur.moustache

Opening is redolent of banana and clove. Dry down is similar but a bit more spicy and mysterious. Smells somewhat like a hippie pad. No ganja notes, but good vibes nonetheless.

Deelecto

I approached Hindu Kush with caution ... a drug-referencing missive from our Palmer Eldritch of perfumery, Pierre Montale, who returned from the East in the early 2000's with the mystical "oud" and proceeded to found his brand of powerful, often beautiful scents. However, as his catalogue spirals into inanity - equivalent scents reappearing under multiple guises, a sister brand all-but-indistinguishable in purpose, perfume names so absurdly misleading they take on the quality of zen koans - web searches reveal the man's identity disintegrating, as though he never existed at all ...

And so I try this, his notoriously powerful, druggy scent, perhaps at no small risk to my sanity. And the result is ... well rather anti-climactic actually. This is an appealing, sweet, designer-y scent. I find it super attractive and easy to wear. Is there a cannabis note? Lol no, unless your only experience of cannabis was a bubblegum-flavoured vape pen. But despite the initial bathos, out of the dozen-or-so Mancera's I've tried this is the one I find the most basically appealing, just a nice sweet ambery bubblegum & incense I'll happily wear all the time.

Bmoney

Grassy hackysack in the park.

Laeric

It doesn’t smell like straight up weed, if that’s what you’re hoping for. What it DOES smell like is a head shop! You get the slight “burning herbal” scent, combined with Nag Champa. It’s beautiful and warm. Very inviting, not rancid like actual smoke. No roach smell. Love it for what it is, not for the cannabis. Warm and a bit sticky! Pretty decent price point, but I’d still recommend trying before buying!

blue_roses

Not sure how folks are getting bubblegum out of this. Yeah out of the bottle there's some crazy furniture oil / Linalool thing going on but that phase is very brief.

It's grassy, herbal, witha hint of sweet incense. Maybe a bit of Palo Santo.

After it starts to settle down a bit, this reminds me of a friend's university flat, back in the 1980s.

The smell of Nag Champa or Dragons Blood incense, waxed wood floors, strong coffee, clove cigarettes, and of cours, cannabis.

Also a bit of my friend's fragrance at the time - the original Crabtree & Evelyn "Mysore Sandalwood".

Hindu Kush is this memory in fragrance form. My body chemistry wears this well. I think this will be lovely during the summer (at least before the humidity sets in).

Oldspice

Hindu Kush is not bad but kind of boring for me. It's not as daring as I was expecting. It's kind of a soft woody scent with slight incense edge. Even though it's a woody scent with incense this could work pretty much year round and be office safe. It has a bit of a green element to it too but doesn't smell like cannabis to me.

Softer projection, especially for a Mancera.

DYNABLASTER77

Overpowering overripe and decaying fruit stench, smoky and cloyingly sweet, no cannabis, maybe some strain smells like this because ganja can smell like anything imaginable, but for me this is not a pleasant scent

4/10

Agent Strong

Bubblegum, which fades after a half hour ( it lingers on fabric though), followed by the smell of hay and wood. Weird and not terribly exciting, but other people notice and like it.

KizzyMonclizzy

quite unique and fits my taste . Beast Mode can smell it all day and projects strong

Nightster

This is the perfect parfum for a cloudy spring day. It is a mysterious scent. Very unique.
The Hindu Kush region is not the most inspiring place for a parfum. Therefore Hindu Kush is not the most exiting fragrance I guess.
Nevertheless it has more to say then a lot of mass appealing loud screaming fragrances that have actually nothing to say at last.

I wear this a lot and with pleasure!

MANCERA HINDU KUSH
4/13/23

I just tested a sample direct from Mancera. I wore it for four days for a skiing trip in Vermont this April. I only wear Red Tobacco for the actual skiing though. HK absolutely wants to be worn when outdoors, fresh mountain air, crisp temps, lodges, light-duty hiking, outdoor shopping, poker night, or at the sports bar. I am buying a full-bottle asap. And the cannabis note is not offensive...but a clean version of it. Wicked Unique!!

thaochipnd

I had a chance to smell the Hindu Kusk and loved it. It smells like a real narcotic. And of course, I would love it if guys used this fragrance 😍

Rating: 9.5/10

Amber Plokchouli

Wow this is gorgeous! I love it!
This one leans more masculine imo, more so than Red Tobacco to my nose. Red tobacco had more warmth and sweetness than Hindu Kush, which makes easier to wear as a woman. They both share a grassy note, which is a bit more wet and muddy in Red Tobacco, and a bit more dried and hay like in Hindu Kush. Looking at the notes in both I think it’s actually the green Apple in RT that I pick up as grassy , as I have the same with the green apple in Light Blue intense. The grassy note in Hindu Kush is probably the cannabis, as it’s more herbal and dried/hay like. Funny how the nose and brain work.

To me the cannabis note does not overwhelmingly smell like weed, there’s a resemblance, but my first association is not with weed. I do agree with Ariodante_invictus that the opening smells like dried field grass. There’s herbs in there, maybe some wild flowers. It’s definitely not plain hay. It’s more green and fresh. There’s a huge blast of spices too, definitely cloves and cinnamon, perhaps some black pepper. There’s little to no sweetness. Whatever sweetness the cinnamon, incense and vanilla provide, it serve more to soften than to sweeten.

It is classed as an Amber woody fragrance, but I would personally describe it as more of a fougère. The amber is barely there, and it has a strong herbal foresty vibe going on. It’s quite smooth and leans a bit blue for an overall green, herbal scent. Which is the reason I feel It’s a bit too masculine for me too wear.
Even though I enjoy wearing men’s fragrances, I have found that blue fragrances are the category that’s hardest to wear as a woman. And this fragrance has exactly that quality. I think it might be something in the combination of amber, patchouli with aromatic and somewhat wet green notes..
regardless of what it is, this fragrance makes me feel like I’m wearing aftershave, there’s this specific type of smoothness that reminds me of freshly shaved chins. I think a lot of old fashioned after shaves have that same blue, clean smoothness. which is just a bit too much man for me. The musk also gives it a hint of armpit smell (which I adore in warm fragrances), which combined with the freshness of this, makes me think of men deodorant, not because it actually smells like that (is much More classy and beautiful), but because it seems out of place on my female skin. All in all I think I will give this to my brother. I’m sure it’ll smell much better on him.

Despite how this may sound, this fragrance doesn’t smell cheap at all. In fact It smells very elegant. It’s a pretty natural smell. There’s something slightly synthetic, but it’s not as present as it is in some other mancera/montale fragrances. It’s a fresh smell, but warm and spicy at the same time. The dried grass and herbs quality in this makes me lean towards fall as the best season especially with the spices in it and sometimes I smell wet leaves.. However the freshness is reminiscent of spring and even summer. Sometimes it smells like freshly cut grass too. I believe this can be worn year round safely.

It’s not a safe blind buy imo. Definitely not for women. I assume it’s somewhat safer for men. You have to be into aromatic, fougere and blue scents though, and as this is such a complex and constantly changing fragrance, I strongly recommend testing it first, not once, but a few times as I also think this is the type of fragrance that requires a few wears to truly understand it.

Tiare888

A mixture of fish oil and parquet polish plus a hint of camphor. Something similar to a note of cloves stands out from the spices. Don't buy without testing. Complete disassembly 1/10

toosimilar

Lol, putting 1 out of 5 with no comment makes that much sense :DD
As for the perfume itself: well, to me it's something between B-612 and Laylati
Green and bitter as the first one, sweet & warm as the latter
I must agree something u...ish maybe be felt until some time goes..
For those who love something unusual and not a safe blind buy definitely!

Ariodante_Invictus

An incredible offering from this perfumer, somewhat unique among their fragrance line but also has that "dense" Mancera footprint. Warning that this has a Mancera opening, meaning you need to give it anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes to settle into its true opening. I also suspect that this one will macerate in the bottle over time much like Red Tabacco did for me as it was largely absent from the sample of Hindu Kush I bought before purchasing the full bottle.

Opens with dried field grass (not hay) and a strong medicinal note from the spices, incense and cannabis but manages to sit light in the air due to the overall dry heat of the accords. Not overly sweet but with a lovely floral accent to soften the other openers.

The dry down of Hindu Kush is sublime, dominated by Patchouli and woody notes with a leftover hind of floral and green from the opening and a mild, rising sweetness from the base. The fragrance has a solid end, loosing the floral but somewhat retaining the patchouli and even a lingering green spice as it settles into a wonderful woody, musky, vanillic lullaby.

This fragrance is very difficult to pin down seasonally. The notes seem to skew cool to cold but there's a dry heat to the total composition that lends itself to summer as well. You could technically wear this all seasons, though it may skew daytime over evening wear. Would suggest sampling first over a blind buy.

Dumbplings

Hindu kush, overall rating 4/20

Ilikewhatilike

Straight to the headline: what is the cannabis like?

Well, it’s not the dusty weed your papa bought from a sketchy dude behind the gas station back in the day, this is a gummy edible your youngest legal relative buys from a hipster at the dispensary.

Very wearable. Long lasting. Modern perfumery. Addictive and versatile scent with just enough sweetness. Amazing silage.

My favourite from the house.

HYLAS

Of all the fragrances I have thus far sampled, Hindu Kush was one of the trickiest when it came to detecting individual notes. Opening slightly balsamic and sedgy, with hints of cumin and a fresh tang of something akin to lavender (I thought), the fragrance begins to dry down rather strangely . . . like you've maybe trodden in a wad of bubblegum while running through a grassy field, and bent down to prize it out from under your shoe with a stick. It's that sort of smell.

Any complexity Hindu Kush may initially appear to possess grows lost in its base, however, which delivers pure grass, taking me back to the years I spent dying my hair with a combination of henna and indigo. If not for this association, I would liken it to rolling in a dry summer field. Natural, but rather plain and not exactly a hyper pleasant perfume scent. Sadly, I think I’ll be giving this one a miss.

Spadz97

I'm still not entirely sure how much I enjoy this fragrance. Like other mancera fragrances the opening is not the greatest but once it dries down it becomes very nice. After a few wears I've realised that less is definitely more as if you overspray you get this vegetable scent. The dry down is fresh and slightly sweet and is actually a gorgeous scent once dried. However the issue I have is you need to wait 45mins before the fragrance starts to shine. It is unlike any other fragrance in my collection and can be a bit challenging to wear considering I have other scents I would wear over this one. Despite this my wife has complimented this fragrance several times whilst it's dried down so I do think it will garner lots of positive attention from women so if that's important to you then maybe it's worth a punt. Performance like other manceras i've tried is beastly which helps as once the fragrance has settled on skin it lasts easily 8hrs+ and leaves a gorgeous scent trail which is why I think this goes down well with the ladies. I would definitely recommend you sample this fragrance before you buy a bottle as its not gonna be for everyone mainly due to the questionable opening but if you have the patience to allow to dry down to shine you have a solid fragrance that a lot of people will love.

Random Spirit Lover

Wow, I like this so much. I blind bought it when I found it for a great price, and I’m glad I did. I thought I’d like it based on the notes/reviews, but it’s better than expected.
To my nose, I get similarities to Sloth by Zoologist. It’s less damp and earthy, and more herbal, but still a similar vibe to me. I don’t really get any cannabis, but it has a dank, dirty greenness, and just a slight hint of smoke. It’s a bit weird, not a mass appealing or designer-esque scent. I’m not sure how typical this is of Mancera, the others I’ve smelled definitely lean more towards mass appealing.
Longevity is pretty good, but projection/strength is about average… I have to get up close to really smell it on me.

Darkstar _ Destroyer

Hindu Kush is a sweet, resinous, smoky fragrance with some earthiness when the patchouli kicks in.

The cannabis note is mixed down and you won't smell like pot in any way.

For me this scent makes the most sense in Spring and Fall. Might be too sweet for the dog days of Summer.

Quality fragrance with above average performance. Could well be a signature scent. 8 out of 10

lmnsvgz

It smelled quite light, smoky, a bit earthy.

Rating Manceras can be difficult because I find the way they engineer fragrances to be unique. They have very confused and/or muted openings. But once the thick oils warm and open on your skin they start to radiate. They stay at this low boil for hours and hours. It’s confusing to a lot of people because most fragrance houses put everything they have into the opening so they can sell you at the fragrance counter. Anyway, this fragrance follows that same recipe of low boil for hours and it radiates a resiny sweet vibe. The pachouli is very present after about a half an hour. It reminds me of walking around San Francisco on a foggy, cool day and stepping into one of the many hippy shops on Hate Street and getting a big blast of incense as you open the door. If you like that green resin smell you well love this, if not you will hate it. I love absolutely love it.
Something tells me this is going to be a favorite among the frag geek community in the coming years.

Ground hound

Conifer, balsam, bitter smoke, Montale`s favourite oriental spices, a bit of an aftershave freshness and down to a dusty patchouli. Confident, present, herbal, fresh, spicy, masculine.

felopian kid

I very much enjoy this one. Right after spraying it feels sweet and intoxicating like a sip of my favourite drink. After a few minutes, while still sweet, it gets more of the green feel, like smelling the herbal tea drought right from the bag. It really brightens my mood on cold winter days. I think it's god for casual wear especially in winter and fall. In spring and summer - more of a night time wear.

As far as the longevity is concerned, performance is solid. I could smell it on myself for a whole work day.

I sampled it, then bought a full bottle. I recommend to others to try the sample first. There is nothing really challenging about this fragrance, but I suppose not everyone might find it to their liking.

Johannes27

I got a full bottle of it after watching Sebastian the Youtuber praising it. However , for me it smells nothing of interest.
It is rare to smell something niche that has nothing to say. When i say nothing i mean nothing.. I have read comments that compare this to Amouage's Jubilation XXV and i have to say that they are both perfumes ! Performance and projection on me are abysmal .
Always try before you buy.

exie92

really love from the first time try it. actually i have sample size in 5ml, and it lasts for almost 70 sprays. and i know i have to buy the full size :) its really interesting when amber-cannabis and musky become one, throughout the day, the smell still linger in a very good way. for me it lasts almost 7 hours and even after shower, amazing.

noideaz

Intoxicating and disgusting at the same time.

This fragrance fools me at first in the opening. Right off the bat it reminds me of Bently for men intense. It opens up very intoxicating but as it dries down into the mid it smells like very very dry wood. At the base it's slightly more tolerable as it now becomes smoother and not as dry. This is absolutely not for younger crowds. I can only imagine a man/woman in his/her 60s wearing this scent. Still even if you're old, I don't get why anybody would want to smell like this, but to each their own.

In terms of quality of the fragrance i'd give it 8/10
In terms of scent profile: 2/10

amedenica

Have a bottle I'm willing to sell. Used maybe 10 sprays. DM me

Shasta Dawn

Interesting. Contemplative. Herbaceous. Meditative. This is gorgeous. It’s my 15 yo son’s signature scent and it’s perfect for him. It’s nontraditional, a little rebellious, fresh, playful and serene and once.
Leaves an addictive scent trail.

Really hard to believe this is a Mancera. It’s like nothing else of theirs.

Phylgood

I was surprised with this one for a few reasons. Looking at the notes I was expecting something more musky, dark and Smokey. I was definitely expecting that almost dank cannabis smell, which it is very much not. I used to work trimming bud and I find this fragrance captures the nice fruity floral slightly citrus and clean aroma of freshly picked cannabis leaves. It dries down to a much more incense, amber, and vanilla that is quite soothing. I usually don’t enjoy florals or citruses on my skin as things go very sweet and powdery, sometimes soapy, on me, but I really enjoy how it plays with this fragrance. The first few minutes are not as enjoyable, it has an almost sour floral beginning, but after about 5 minutes it settles really nicely. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it on the first wear, but the longevity is really nice, and when I tell you I have never received so many compliments on a fragrance!! I usually wear very dark intense spicy vanilla based fragrances, but I’m definitely enjoying adding this to my collection as something a little brighter and cleaner.

Droopy_draws

Blind bought this and it's actually a little underwhelming ,it's a light amber vibe, very light green note but that's it. I have not yet worked up s sweat yet. But so far it's a safe buy but, I was hoping for something more

FrankieMets25

Picked up a sample of this and legit gaged upon first spray. Top of my list for least favorite fragrances

Aizentzzzz

I have a 100ml bottle sprayed once , willing to trade in the USA

Ema15

I usually like fruity, fresh, clean perfumes. So I said to give this one a try to see how it is. Glad I only orderd only 2 ml.
I def. don't see myself wearing this. But on a man who like very strong perfumes, leathery ones, I think this would be great.
If you are a woman who likes the same kind of perfumes like me (from Mancera I like Pink Roses, Indian Dream, Musky Garden, Roses Jasmine, Instant Crush, Pearl-you get the idea) I suggest you to not blind buy this. Please try it in advance.

anasshth

I just got this yesterday and sprayed 2 little sprays on my arm and OMG !
This scent is something else, it's unique and it doesn't smell like any designer scent ! it starts green and spicy with cannabis leaf in the background but then after 10 to 20 min, you get spices and incense with a little bit of sweetness in the background due to vanilla and amber.
I'm wearing it today and it smells amazing, it's 100% manly and definitely an office safe.
for occasions ! i think this is an all year round scent ! i can wear this in summer with confidence !
Performance and projection : the two sprays i sprayed at 7pm stayed until next morning at 8am i could still smell it from my arm !
Projection is decent, for 2 to 3 hours moderate projection and sillage !
I give it 9/10 !

SterlingArcher76

This is very “to each his own” thing. There seems to be a lot of people who love this. And I really really dislike this and find it totally cloying and headache inducing. Almost nauseating.

This fragrance is super powerful incense and patchouli bomb for me. But with that astringent synthetic that is common with alot of Mancera products.

Do not blind buy this. Sample it. You may love it. I absolutely hate it. To each his own.

RottigrlNYC

I really really like this one. Very nice use of cannabis.

eaudemale

Very clean vegetable smell. I can see the banana peel references but the vibe is more of a spice oil (it also smells oily) in a musky skin kind of way. There’s also a bit of sweetness, woody and soapyness but very well blended.
Great longevity but the projection is low. A no brainer for the office and as a second skin fragrance.. smells like a drydown instead of the sharpness of the top notes of something that you just applied. I would say this is right there with Not a perfume by JHAG or the others in the category but I prefer this one.

Gaz4

Not a fan...for the same reason that I do not like Montale's Fantastic Oud. It has this soapy, screechy, astringent-to-the-nostrils smell. May be it is the patchouli mixing with the incense, not really sure, but I am not a fan...and it lasts for the life of the fragrance.

There is also slight wiffs of Montale's Louban, however I quite like louban.

This is a big no for me, I would never recommend as a blind buy, please sample first.

3/10

Tim Maramis

Hindu Kush is the latest mancera i purchased and fell in love with. It smells cosy, sweet, fruity, incensy and smokey. The high quality juice creates an amazing scent bubble that follows you for 6-8 hours. Mancera's Hindu Kush is a unique resinous scent that doesn't smell like a traditional cannabis fragrance at all. 9/10

ShaunMichael

It’s nice and clean. It’s very mainstream with a twist that makes it very unique. . Maybe it’s good for the office. Nobody would complain about this one. It’s easy and very
Wearable. Casual smelling. Something about this reminds me of. Lemon dessert.

Moedalloul

People saying this is nice should also say it's absolutely not a safe blind buy
Do not but this except if you like heavy food spices mixed with the smell of someone's sweat
1/10 on a good day

Lex11180

Bought this as a decant, went in blind without reading any comments or notes.

The opening to me on paper smelled like those scented pens you got in the 90s. I had one that smelled of bananas and it instantly reminded me of it. On skin it's more of like a fragrant green unripened banana. Under it I'm getting some light spices, but nothing really that suggests cannabis or incense. I was expecting this to be a lot more smoky than it is, however I do quite enjoy the banana-y scent that it gives.

Ointmeal

This is an artistic interpretation of what weed smells like. The real thing is *very* resinous and herbal at the same time, dense, and slightly woody. Think of it as quite pungent.

So this is trying to recreate the feel of that without smelling like weed. Deep Resinous woods with some herbal quality, vanilla, and smoke. Not pungent.

/edit:
I have a 2ml sample. Initially, the 'banana' quality people speak of came up super strong on my skin. I forgot about it and around 6-10 months later it no longer does that! Did it macerate, or did my perception change? Hard to tell, but I quite enjoy this now. 7/10 for me, and I'd buy it if I could source a cheap deal. Got a few compliments too, and a friend asked to borrow the bottle for a few days not knowing it was a sample.

I still recommend getting a sample first as this is definitely very different :)

Performance is on point!

CygneNoire

Is anyone willing to provide a sample? I blind buy Mancera frags for myself however, I'm considering getting this as one of the presents for my boyfriend's birthday next month. I want to think he'd like this but, I really just want to be sure! This may be a long shot asking in the reviews but, it's worth a try :')

AbdelFikar

its kinda love and hate situation for me

For the Scent, 7/10 , it is sooo addicting, but sometimes i got a salty almost kinda Urine-ish smell from this fragrance. but beside that, It's a good Fragrance.

The Longevity is ok, it performs like eau de toillette for me personally
overall: 7.5/10

legacy2711

Man, this is one of the best uses of spices. It starts with spices right away, esp cinnamon and a little cannabis smokiness in the backdrop of a sweet honey(although it's not listed, i smell it). It then slowly dries down to an amazing incensy, sweet and subtle spicy scent. I also smell amber and just a tad bit of musk. This is a great pefume. Performs for 6-8h and projects a good 1-2 foot for the first 2 hours.
I am not sure if everyone will like this since it requires a specific taste of spices and incense. Being from an Indian house, my nose is super trained in these notes on a daily basis and hence the likeness.
I presume if you are an Indian, you will like this most definitely.

Padhee83

A masterpiece. Less is more for this scent. 3-4 sprays and you are good to go for more than 12 hours of incense, smoke, woods and oud. You can judge a perfume by its dry down. The dry down/ basenote of Hindu Kush is attractive & very inviting.
It is not similar to Kouros but both are different unique, long lasting and definitely not a crowd pleaser😛.I love both which has incense in common.
I personally love it and keeps me confident. Just love the incense and oud combo whiffs which emanates even after wearing it for 12+ hours.
Leans on the masculine side and beware, girls may or may not like it. I usually get 50-50 reactions but who gives a damn when I love it on myself.

Vlam

An Owen Wilson "WOW" is all I can say now. Will give my review in due time

Scipath29

Edit: I find that it occasionally triggers a migraine.

This is a very beautiful, interesting and unique perfume. As an Indian native, this is a very familiar scent, but not in the form of a perfume. At first, this reminded me of a cabinet where we would keep herbs and materials for Pooja (worship). It was a dry, herbal almost medicinal smell. The fragrance itself was good, but i was not sure if i wanted to smell like a pooja cabinet. Also, the opening was too dry and choking me out. However, if i limit myself to 2 sprays, and leave the room i sprayed it in :P and then let it settle on my skin, it evolves beautifully. Within 15 mins, it becomes a very pleasant, warm, relaxing scent. Feels like relaxing on a bright sunny morning in an empty temple.
After several wears, the fresh spicy and sweet vanillic accords began to shine. This could actually be worn in high heat summers!
However, many reviewers on youtube describe this as "exotic" and "mysterious" and "sexy". I feel i must warn south asians, you may not feel that way about this scent. But as a warm, comforting scent, it does the job.. and does it very well.
Oh, and i find the longevity is quite good (7+ hours) and projection is only moderate, but leaves a nice trail.
Overall, i love it.

RLB1979

I love this stuff but I can see how some may not but I favor green fragrances to me it's the perfect combination of warm, smokey, earthy and sweet, and like most Mancera fragrances this stuff last and it projects so go easy on the trigger, The cannabis note is very soft subtle and sweet, you will not smell like you walked of a dispensary after spraying it on, only other fragrance I have smelled with a Cannabis note is Maison Margeila's Music Festival and I wasn't a fan of that one

Hojubaby

i dont know whats wrong with the nose of "toilet vibes" users here but to my nose that's just nonsense, it's purely a heavenly fruity creamy scent that my nose was wowed by and i just ordered a full bottle of now, also, just so you know this has a similar dna to Intense Cedrat Boise which is also delicious in its own aventus-y fruity vibes.
Now that i have a full bottle i definitely get the banana and cannabis, but more sugar coated banana from this and it also has a similair vibe to Tom Ford's now discontinued Plum Japonais. This is a beautiful scent but gets much better after it calms down a bit.
9.5/10

Maharot

I blind bought this bottle because I was intrigued with the name Hindu Kush. For me the opening is a beast mode in-your-face, with depth and very herbal with some spice but i don't really pick up the cannabis note at all, maybe it was the labdanum note that was very pungent. I had 1-2 sprays and it lasted about 12 hours, or maybe more. The dry down is when the magic happens. That beast mode opening/mid converts to a smooth amber-musk-oud combination in the base. It is a very unique scent and definitely not for every one. I recommend get a sample first.

MarkoPeeko

Wore this in the office today.

Talk about long-lasting. 6am sprays x 2 on my neck. 6pm, still getting a fairly good waft.

Beautiful green, leafy, woody drop. The patchouli and cannabis make this a dream drop IMO.

Picked up a couple of compliments today. If you work in HR, you’d know that’s a high number. (We have to be beyond reproach etc etc)

This is a scent I’d wear a lot more often if I could find it for under $245 AUD.

Full marks from me. 👌🏻

BlackBeard

The opening is sweet spicy, i get the banana note that everyone talks about but its Seattle down after 30-60 minutes, the cannabis note is more like cannabis oil scent and not a bud smell, but it got the skunkiness,
Drydown i smell slightly oud, incense.
Sweet patchouli, skinky cannabis.
It's not for summer, the incense its way to much for summer.
Sillage and longevity is enormous, worth the money.
Some people said it's smells like a church, others said its remind them taj mahal.
Not for kids!

Mr. Boston

Sweet and spicy. Cannabis is literally non existent. Smells good and very designerish. Performance is extremely good.

ckorp8

On skin. Has a tiniweeniebit like the vibe of JML Pomegranate Noir but that’s about it. This opened up green and spicy. Can relate the green to patchouli but almost barely find some hint of the cannabis. Nice but that’s about it.
On clothing it projected better and a bit more cannabis could be sensed. Overall a nice scent. Another dumb reach probably.

Lasted on skin no more than four hrs. Still projecting from clothing after eight.

HazeBreeze

I really like this one. I find myself going to this one quite often because of it's interesting and unique scent.

The opening is sweet, and smells quite green with a hint of spice and soft incense. The very first smell reminds me of some kind of banana candy, but that goes away quite quickly. The next 60-90 min is kind of sweet and a bit sour in a sticky, almost edible way, with a bit of soft spicy wood and incense in the background. After that the sweetness calms down and the wood, spice and incense comes more to life, and it becomes more clean smelling.

The longevity is very good with the scent still on my skin the day after, and the sillage is strong the first hour or so without being too overpowering (4 sprays). Since I like projecting scents, one downside is it stops projecting after about 90mins, and for someone to notice the scent they have to get really close.

I find it an easy grab for warm days. It is a versatile scent, but fits the least during the very cold months in my opinion. I imagine it fits perfectly for spring because of it's green and sweet scent.
Works just fine for work and casual wear. Jeans and everyday shirt.

Overall a 7/10 in my experience. :)

Bonifac

In a blind test, I'd say it's a Dior Fahrenheit flanker. Sweetened Dior Fahrenheit.

juristhegreat

Cannabis Smoke In The Mountain.

This is my favorite from the house and makes me love cannabis notes so much. The scent is like no other, the performance is great, the presentation is decent, the name is perfect, and the price range is acceptable.

Directly after the first spray, you can detect a combination of cannabis, incence, and labdanum. Then the spice flows in alongside with the woody nuances, to an ambery warm sensation, slightly sweet from vanilla pod, and earthy patchouli.

Sprays it on both of your skin and clothes, and you will create a sexy trails when you're moving all around.

chipclip501

this is so lovely, the addition of the cannabis note gives sort of a hint of body odor but it’s like a musky delicious body odor, definitely one of the best
After a few hours, there is a lovely cinnamon note that appears from the back. it’s been there but now it’s more noticeable.
this reminds me of walking into a store like “decades”, “Terrapin Station” or any other store that sells weed related products and smoke deodorizing candles. Not as a bad thing because i like that. I mean the cannabis note just adds a dark green edge to it.
Like someone was smoking weed and tried really hard to cover it with delicious incense, spices and candles.
This stuff is addicting. it’s also very high-quality, when you spray it on the atomizer sprays with a nice thin even coat and where are you sprayed it the oil will stay for hours. Like my skin is still shiny after 2 hours type of thing.
9/10 because of how well it’s put together and it’s scent is photo realistic and natural but you will smell like a hippie store which throws me off a bit.

Update: Still have a full bottle for sale or trade, it's a good scent, just not for me. United states only please.

I think this has just entered my top 3 Mancera scents. That patchouli and cannabis. Wow.

Back to review later.

SimplDude

To my nose and to my skin, this is one of the best from Mancera. Its exotic and kind of oriental vibe simply fascinates me. The green cannabis accord surprisingly gives a gorgeous twist. It's like one night, you're in a quiet clearing in a jungle and you’re sitting and chillaxing atop a rock covered with moss. It’s all dark around you and the only illumination was the moonlight shining upon you. It's so peaceful and calming and as you slowly close your eyes, the smell of the green forest envelopes you. What a trip ;)

Longevity, performance and projection are all good on my skin. Great frag! 9/10 👍

RickPinto

Drydown of this reminds me of Afnan Supremacy in Oud, on the softer side.
It's really a nice fragrance but I recomend everyone to try it first.

solobinoy2k

Great spring/summer frag.
I added this recently but a bit similar to others I have so I'd be looking to swap if anyone is interested!

Metolord

People say this is like black afgano yeah maybe a bit at the opening but at the dry down it’s way more closer to another rockstar from the house “ Pardon “ cannabis is oily not green like cannabis seeds …oily, dark and soft with some sort of Dior Fahrenheit vibe to it … from Mancera I would compare it with Wind wood … soft smoky wearable cannabis based fragrance . Lasts very long and projects soft

Corban Lucas

Light, fruity, slightly effervescent.

I was told that it smells like Juicy Fruit gum...which I don't mind.

I love this in the spring and summer time. Very pleasant!

Loving this one. More for cold weather, but it's a cool day today. I get loads of clove from the spices. I'm not usually a huge fan of clove, but here it works well with the woods, earthiness, greens, and overall enigmatic exotic feel. It's a little oudy too, sweet, I would say more masculine but only because of strong spicy elements. Not getting that genuine cannabis but definitely feeling the greenery and spicy greenery at that. Touch of incense, burning in the background. I have Indian chill lounge in the background with a strong beat, this music goes so well with this smell :) The whole vibe feels very spiritual especially considering I accidentally picked it out of a big sample bag. Good one from Mancera.

I actually don't know if I love, hate, like, or just feel "meh" about this fragrance.

Hindu Kush is a spicy, woody, incensey, and kinda earthy fragrance. It is not a type of fragrance that smells pleasant or something that every person is going to love, but it has a unique DNA that is polarising.

All I can say is that, Hindu Kush is a good fragrance for those of you who want a different kind of Mancera and especially if you like a woody and smoky incense, with that cannabis accord and the spiciness.

It is definitely not safe for blind buy, so sample first.

zura87

It's really similar to Stash SJP with lots of sun-dried hay.

Splashyminion

I was expecting a smokey cannabis & incense-based fragrance and I was totally disappointed. It's just woody all and through. All I get is wood, something like wax/ iris, and very very little spice

Doesn't project at all. Sits very close to the skin like The One or DHI.

But It's got this very warm, creamy, and cozy type of feel. Somehow it's very addictive tho. Makes me want to take a whiff again and again

gxbjw

Smelling Hindu Kush is like being punched by Mike Tyson in the nose if he was wearing a pair of boxing gloves made out of leaves.

It’s overpoweringly, almost obnoxiously green. Very smoky and woody. However, I don’t get the banana smell like everyone says. Slightly skunky from the marijuana note, but by wearing this you definitely won’t smell like a stoner.

If I had this fragrance, I probably would ONLY wear this in dressier occasions. Definitely not a daily driver.

aholubek

Strange, at least in the opening, I am not at all getting what I expected in this fragrance. It's reminiscent of cherry tobacco but leafier. Then, this quickly dries down to a woodsier composition that smells very natural. Then, I start to get the bud-like scent that I was expecting--but it's not straight marijuana which I kind of appreciate. This really is super leafy and slightly herbal. A very unique scent, I almost expected it to be kind of gimmicky but it isn't. I could see this being a great, incredibly unique signature scent. I'm getting some cumin in this as well. The cannabis note is really prevalent in the drydown. I think my opinion on this is actually starting to flip a bit, as I find the heavy cannabis and patchouli combined with this slightly rubbery feel somewhat nauseating -- in fact, it's a scrubber for me. I respect this a lot, but I'm not sure if it's for me and that's ok.

3/10

Fragmeister

One of the more unique fragrances I’ve smelled yet very wearable. Bright , almost sour, green that sweetens as it dries down. I’ve smoked a lot of weed in my day and this is not skunky like that at all, I get the herbaceous qualities though. I think it’s a masterpiece, hands down one of the best Manceras.

BokeeLee

Very interesting parfume... I never smell something similar. I like it alot. He last for a 6+ hours easy, but sillage and projection ar weak I think. Not offensive at all but i like beast mode and in your face parfumes. Good thing for rotation in spring and fall. Worth money. Mancera fauvorite house and this is number 6 from them in collection.

Tifffyy

Testing this today on the back of my hand. I just received this in the mail from my Royalty Scents subscription.
To me at the opening it is a little fruity and floral, with those spices (I know there are no fruits listed) but it quickly dried down to a musky incense. I don’t get any cannabis, just a hint of green which disappears at dry down. The dry down is gorgeous! Spicy, musky, incense, a little earthy with a hint of sweetness.
I really like this scent! It is very different from anything I own. I think this would be best in cooler months, perfect in fall and winter, but I will definitely be using it right now on the cool spring days. I can’t wait to do a full wear test! From what I can tell right now, this perfume is a beast! I will have to make sure not to over spray.

3/28/22
Today I am wearing this (not just for test) I sprayed 4 small sprays total, one on each wrist and one on the front of my shirt and one on the back of my neck. It is potent and surrounded me fully. It is a cold spring morning only about 30F it really is a beautiful scent. I still didn’t smell the cannabis until I went to the drive through bank. As soon as I opened my windows the breeze started blowing in I could definitely smell it! It’s not a burning weed smell, it is just a fragrant bud smell, not unpleasant at all, but it sure did catch me off guard.

raullucero

Definitely I bought a new batch which is BY FAR not long lasting… the smell is great though. I get the banana comments but it smells delicious even with that. The bottle is basic and beautiful, with a magnetic cap and an unnecessary but pretty good bag holding it. It reminds me a lot of Black Afgano, which is way more expensive and frankly also very disappointing -recent batches. I’d definitely recommend this one, which has also a very decent price/quality ratio, but I would never say it’s got an enormous silage or eternal lasting. Smells expensive, but won’t last more than 6 hours on you with a wonderful performance like Amouage’s Interlude would, for example…

perfume_obsessed

A more well executed version of Mandala by Masque Milano, which I hate even though I thought from the description would have been a perfect fragrance for me. There was a really rank note in Mandala that didn’t sit with me, but in Hindu Kush I feel like whatever it was in Mandala that didn’t work was toned down enough that this is closer to what I’d hoped for.

Do I love Hindu Kush? Mmmm… I think Hindu Kush is one that needs time to grow on you. The longer I wear it, the more I like it. The initial spice blast mellows and becomes quite fresh and green. If you like patchouli, I think you’ll love Hindu Kush. Definitely a statement scent because you will not smell like anyone else while wearing Hindu Kush. 100% unisex, in my opinion. I’m a woman and I like wearing this, but I would sniff out any man wearing Hindu Kush. On the right person, it’s a pretty sexy scent and if someone asked what you’re wearing, being able to say, “I’m wearing Hindu Kush”, sounds kind of bad ass so bonus points for that!

btd069

Spices, Smoke, Oud and a good amount of Woods. A little animalistic & screechy in the opening but not overly so but that fades a bit but not completely. Not really getting a big Cannabis note but it's there. Musk, Vanilla & Amber as it dries as well as the oud that stick around. This would be better suited for cooler weather. I have the newer version with the magnetic cap, some say magnetic cap bottles lesser performance. Longevity is very good and projection is strong for the first hour or two as with most other Mancera fragrances I own. Wouldn't say that this is blind buy safe. Try it first. I like this but some may find it a little off-putting. Time to wear this in warm climates may be limited. Pretty unique smell. I got a 4oz botttle for $75, pretty good deal for such a strong fragrance. The extreme dry down to me has the same intense amber with oud as Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomad.

D3sp1s3d27

Just absolutely delicious. I got this the same time as I got my red tobacco so I was sleeping on this gem right here its the end of winter here In buffalo and this is just the perfect time for Hindu kush. Yea smells a lil like weed but it actually means the Hindu kush mountains in India. Anyway 10/10 expect nothing less from mancera. Pierre montale you are a God.

P.s. remember that juicy fruit gum? Well Hindu kush by mancera smells just like that when initially sprayed. Which is really weird cos there is no fruit accords or notes in here. Then the dry down comes(after like 45 mins cos yaknow it'd actually a real EDP ) and that smoky incense and amber and cannabis comes through. Love it

Scotty123

This is a classy style fragrance. Green, smoky and woody. I don’t get banana at all! I’m pleasantly surprised by my first testing. Will review more after I’ve given it a few wearings. As for now though my thoughts are this is a great fragrance!

Okay, so after really experiencing the fragrance I will say there is something tropical about the cannabis oil being used, whether it's banana or some type of citrus note idk but something does come through slightly fruity and green from the cannabis oil being used which is giving people the banana vibe. Other than that it is as I stated above green, smoky, woody. It's extremely incense heavy, but it's not overbearing either. I personally find this more of a fall/winter fragrance due to the heavy incense. Having said that if wore during a spring or summer night it will not be offensive at all. This isn't personally a fragrance I'll be reaching for often, however it has it's time and place to be worn. God bless fragcom!

Padhee83

Fantastic perfume and quite different from anything I have personally owned.
It's a strange perfume. I do get fruity vibes in the opening which resembles a ripe banana. I don't know from where it is coming but other notes like incense and labdanum, spices are also present. No idea how cannabis smells but i do get some green leafy notes which resembles Lawsonia Inermis leaves whose common name is Hina used in India and Pakistan. Patchouli is also there and in the base I do get some vanilla musk and dominating incense. Actually incense is the prominent note from opening to base notes.
It's a perfume which can be used in cooler environment and should be avoided in extreme heat. It can be used for cool day and night climate.
It's a spicy, musky and prominently has incense smell which I love.Strange smell and quite different but for me it's a really a pleasant scent. In the air strangely people commented me how good the oud scent smells on me but is there oud in this? There are some similarities to oud but it is not mentioned in the note breakdown.
Don't know about compliments but on air it's pleasant.People who like oriental notes will love it. Oud lovers will also like it due to dominant incense note. Caution-Should be used sparingly as it is a monster performer with huge projection and longevity. I am talking about more than 12 hours on skin and 24 hours on clothes.
One of the best offering from Mancera according to me.

Madcity Boy

I do strongly agree with Acecorde777. It's an interesting aruma. An outdoor type of scent. I appreciate for what it is. Surly it leaves a long lasting trial where people ask me what am I wearing. It's a day frag. Love with threesome.

BokeeLee

Forget about cannabis (tnx god). This one is so unique and nothing like this is on market. Very nice sweet frag with good performances. Good bless Mancera and Montale. Ez blind buy. GL

lizarrdwizzard

This is my 2nd review after spending some time with this fragrance. The conclusion I've drawn is that although it's very good and high quality, I just don't see myself wearing this as a man. It's too feminine for me and that's not my cup of tea. The fragrance is very very nice, it's just not for me. I have a full bottle for sale or trade if anyone is interested.

Padhee83

Not Wow but addicting.There are some perfumes which take time to grow. I am not blown away by the scent but it has some attractive qualities which draws me towards smelling and wearing it regularly.Maybe it's the Cannabis😉.
Honestly it's hard to detect individual notes but it's blended so perfectly. I actually love to wear it. My spouse says it smells like an Indian incense stick we use at homes. I can agree to that but it's much more.
Lasts more than 24 hours on skin and days on clothes. It can actually fill the room with its smell. Sillage is enormous. Honestly I haven't had a more long lasting scent in my collection ever.
It's a unique scent and not at all common but yes it smells like an expensive incense stick. Love it.
Detailed review will follow after multiple wearing.

Raudskeggr

I love this scent, but it is rather hard to pin down precisely. You initially get spice, vanilla, and a faintly wood and musk undertone; dry down doesn't see this change tremendously.

I don't get cannabis in a direct way; but the patchouli character might be evocative of cannabis smoking for some people. So I would suggest that cannabis is a fantasy note; which is an odd thing for something that already has such a distinctive and iconic scent.

It's actually kind of a "flat" scent, being dominated as it is by base notes. But that doesn't mean it is simple; there is quite some complexity to the layered base notes.

A note on sillage, tenacity, and longevity. They are all INTENSE. Let me stress, this scent is a room-filler. And on clothing; I have detected this on clothes that have been sitting in my hamper for over a week when doing laundry.

I have a hard time describing this scent, but I do really like it.

Jules1846

Mancera are my new go to brand. After owning several I purchased this one and Instant Crush. After spraying each one on seperate occasions Instant Crush has stellar performance and lasted a good 24hours on my skin even after showering. Hindu Kush on the other hand doesn't perform at all and instantly became a skin scent with zero projection. After all the positive reviews I am really surprised. Maybe it's a bad batch. It is a great smelling fragrance I just wish it performed as well as the other Mancera fragrances I own.

yellowfin

Does it smell like cannabis? Yes and no
It has some of the 'dank' notes those familiar with stale smoked cannabis will recognise, but is no where near as overpowering as actual cannabis. Mostly has this 'overripe banana' scent, which some people have mentioned.
Does last a long time, looking at that 10+ hours.

Best way to describe this one is a dank scent, if you want dank, youve found it.
Almost pungent, musty, ambery, overripe bananary almost ambroxan type scent. Definitely an 'offensive scent'.
If you dont know or want dank, avoid this one.

LordCharfield

This opens with cloves (yesssssss! I know it isn’t listed in the notes!!) and fades to nothing very quickly. Great disappointment and an indictment on the ‘Fragcon’ YouTube hype-ocrites who put reviews up just for the clicks. This was either a bad batch, or this is my worst blind buy in a long time. I’m sending this back which is most unusual for me (look at my 200+ reviews on here).
Worst introduction ever to Mancera. The Cedrat Boise is also bettered and outperformed by CDNIM, for which I now have renewed respect. I will review that after I’ve been to the post office!

Please take the aggressively over-producing click bait YouTube reviewers with a pinch of salt. There are many good ones, but those who are merely gaming the algorithm for clicks have become awful! Their motivation is different to yours! 💵💶💰💴

FancyPants

I so wanted to love Hindu Kush. It sounded like my kind of fragrance.

It is very interesting with lots of levels to it. I quite like that green banana type smell, it's subtle, it fits. But there's a note that keeps popping up that really gets into my brain and bothers me... it's a glue smell that doesn't leave. It's a real shame. I wish I knew which note it was.

Also, I don't really get any cannabis note. I'm sure some of us have smelled cannabis at some point, and the cannabis note in Hindu Kush is nothing like that cannabis smoke smell.

It's still a lovely fragrance, but buying a sample first would be advised.

Thanks for reading.

goodboy

it is banana bread at the opening, i havent discover the middle notes becaue the opening makes me nausea so got to wash it off. not for me of course. but try it, feel the hype, maybe its work on you

lizarrdwizzard

Well I blind bought this one like I do from time to time and it's been back and forth for me with this one. At some points this smells very much as a female scent and nothing a guy could pull off. I like the scent and it is pretty good but I can't as of yet decide without a few more wears of this one. I want to like this more than I currently do as a male scent but I don't know how it's going to go.

As far as performance goes it's a beast. Lasts a very long time and for the first few hours (about 3 for me) it projects heavily.
Maybe my opinion will change about this being a masculine scent but as of right now for my nose it rides a thin line between unisex and female.

As far as the scent itself goes it's very pleasant and I could see it getting a good amount of compliments. I believe it could be pulled off all year round as long as the sprays are limited in the summer, though maybe not good for high heat.

Mina Abdo

I love the opening although it might not be for everyone. However the dry down is magical.
No need to review the performance or projection of almost any Mancera releases, it is well known.

602campday

Some people say this can smell fishy or lik banana bread welp I get both this is odd & strong won't be wearing this everrr

bethnalween

This is surprisingly similar to Pomegranate Noir from Jo Malone, was initially put off by the notes but the effect on skin is wholly unexpected (in a good way!). Full bottle-worthy for sure.

Loree

To me this smells like Music festival from Maison Margiela. On my skin is 90% canabis. It is quite good, but I have a bottle of music festival and are too similar to have both.

singhdivjot

Sweet banana and ambery base, whackiest of the combo, hate this one, immediate gagging, sold the bottle.
Never trust youtube reviewers.

gentel

When I first apply this it's strong to the point of being unpleasant, but then it just keeps getting better and better over time. The performance is unbelievable, lasting certainly into the next day but even for many days, sometimes I have even smelled it from my mouse pad just from my wrist having touched it the previous day. As far as the scent itself goes, incense, smoky, and spiced. I personally found it very similar to Amouage Jubilation XXV Man, and they do have several key notes in common.

Overall this is one of the best Manceras to buy, it's unique and has huge performance to justify its price

dogmeat

Hindu Kush is magic...woodsy, spicy amber with incense and patchouli. For me, it conjures up images of flower petals floating in the air, spirals of incense smoke, the Taj Mahal. You will leave a heavenly trail of this scent wherever you go, while you are wearing it. My car still smells like it, the day after I wear it. I don't really detect cannabis, well not any kind of cannabis that I am used to smelling. I get all the other notes though and they work beautifully together. The performance on this one is intense. It smells so good though, I don't want to stop spraying it. This is an exotic delight and I can't get enough of it.

Dan talks Scents UK 🇬🇧

To me it smells like unripe banana 🍌 then improves to banana bread 🍞 just after it's been baked. A nice smell with a touch of patchouli and slight smokiness from the incense.
Not a bad scent but got boring very quickly. Pleased I bought a sample first will not be buying a full bottle.

Check out my YouTube page Dan talks Scents UK 🇬🇧for more detailed reviews of this and more.

Anggiprihutomo

Suprisingly i got canabbis notes on my skins and it got beast projection and sillage but keep in mind not all ppl will like this kind of scent. But i loved it.

ingeneuxo

-Opens rather screechy.
-Dries down to a unisex amber that leans a tad gourmand. (-)

phpbb

I love that banana smell from the test strip. Could not get it from my skin though.
Still a superb frag. Pleasant, unique and performing.

Shadow_Slammer

I tried to love Hindu Kush, but I can’t. There is a sour unripe banana note that is off putting to me. If you’re interested in this fragrance I highly recommend sampling first. On the plus side, it’s a beast. Insane sillage and longevity. I don’t hate the smell, but it’s not something I wanna smell like, or smell on a women. 6/10

Trendkill97

Monstrous performance, mega sillage, sprayed this on me generously and the scent of this remained in the room for almost two days! Not your typical lively Cannabis note in this, it's more toned down. This is a more spiced incense dominant scent with patchouli greenness and a touch of musky sweetness that comes through as it dries down becomes more prominent with the amber. The woodiness in this has a contrasting dichotomy of creaminess and dryness, it's sophisticated when worn cautiously. For anyone who has come to love the brand of Mancera this is a must-try.

Overall 7.5/10

HyenaSuperstition

This is an interesting fragrance. Years ago I used to experiment with making perfume. I knew very little, but my passion for it was there. I used to buy a fragrance oil called Cedar and Saffron, from Zenith Supply in Seattle. I'm not sure of the exact aroma chemical being used, but they are identical in that regard. This however is on an atomic level.

This fragrance is very loud, filled with incense, amber, woods and spice. There is also something strangely cool about this. I don't mean cool as in "popular", or "up and coming", but more so a type of experience or interpretation. This performs incredibly well in cooler seasons and is a hidden gem when it snows. The intensity of this perfume needs to have something to cut through. The icy cold really seems perfect for that.

I wouldn't suggest this to be worn in the warmer months. I feel like it would become too heavy for those in your general orbit. Less is more with this. Too much and it almost becomes medicinal and hyper synthetic.

The sillage is impeccable, and for me, the dry down is the best part. It goes from a very sharp opening of sweet aromatic spices filling the air, into a very sexy, musky, woody, incense bomb. I very much enjoy the guiac wood in this. It's synthetic, but oddly unique. I like that after a few hours into it's wearing, I notice it pulsating with warmth from my skin, radiating through the air. A massively spicy-sweet cloud that lasts and lasts.

I however don't think this is an everyday scent. This seems more occasional, or appropriate to satisfying a mood or feeling. I'd definitely suggest getting a decant to make sure this is for you before committing. To be honest, this is a very reminiscent of holiday potpourri to me. I've actually sprayed this on potpourri as a refresher when it was smelling low. It's funny, Mancera's Hindu Kush, and Kenzo - Le Jungle Elephant are the two fragrances I do that with. They are both so incredibly potent that they will linger in the air filling a room

If you're curious, I'm pretty sure Zenith Supply in Seattle, ships by mail. Get yourself a bottle of Cedar and Saffron fragrance oil from them. Whatever their common note is, it's identical. Of course the quality of Hindu Kush will be superior, and there will be differences, but you'll be able to get an incredibly good understanding of what Hindu Kush smells like if you can't find a decant of it online.

LMBelvi

Most of these notes would have caused me to expect success. But... no. I think the cannabis note is wrong for me,
and probably something among the spice notes too. It ends up smelling muddled and uninviting.

Kevinpar

It smells just like unripe green bananas. It is green, sweet, fruity (banana smell), and creamy. There is also a touch of bitterness in the backgorund. There are cannabis candies in Amsterdam like lolipops, that is the inspriration I guess because it is a sweet fragrance.

It is very potent and room filler type of fragrance. I also would not buy a full bottle of this. You kind of get tired of the smell because it is heavy.

michelchamilov

um what is banana doing in here

B_A_C_K408

Green, smokey incense with some sweetness. I like it not love it yet. My wife complimented me immediately when she walked in the room. Said she could smell it walking up the stairs to the room so it projects and has good sillage for sure. It smells like something I've owned in the past I can't quite put my finger on. I believe it's Amouage Memoir Man or maybe Viktor and Rolf Antidote but I no longer own either so can't confirm. The notes kinda line up tho. Overall very good offering. I feel it would be a fall, winter, spring fragrance for me here in California. By the way this does not smell like Marijuana at all so don't be scared away from the cannabis note

Sammy@au

This is unique & funky.
It feels like its got multiple personalities every time I wear it.
Sometimes I get bananas, sometimes herbal tea, sometimes vanilla.
Sometimes just plain weird.
Or maybe I've just smoked to much pot, I'm not making any sense.
This is strong also, two sprays max.
Skin chemistry I feel be a factor with one.
If It works, bliss & the munchies my friends.

AMajeedQT

Incense Garden.

Hindu Kush is a peculiar fragrance, & I love that. Seldom you smell something new and unusual when you are deep into fragrances.

It is an incense fragrance, with a banana-like fruity sweetness initially. As it dries down, the smoky, lightly-resinous incense remains and the sweet banana turns into a more green & earthy smell. The scent is enveloped in light warm spiciness.

Incense, green, spicy, smoky, lightly-resinous, mildly-sweet.

I've never smelled cannabis, so I can not comment on its presence but there is a green, leafy accord here.

Hindu Kush is unique. It is a stoical smell. Calm, lightly spicy-&-woody incense against a contrast of mildly-sweet green and earthy accord. Beautiful contrast, indeed. It smells like burning incense in a a lush, tropical farm. A banana farm in the opening but then it is just a tropical, rainy farm.

While it didn't wow me from the first sniff like some of my love-category fragrances, Hindu Kush is such a charming & alluring scent.

Unisex leaning masculine, this melancholic, level-headed fragrance would be a beautiful cool weather wear.

Big "Like".

OntheMark

I have to wholeheartedly agree with those before me who say that Hindu Kush is not about the cannabis. For me, this is much more about shifting, kaleidoscopic vibes that invite you to calming and healing mind spaces. And as a Mancera, you know it's going to be strong, tenacious and quite a ride... And yes, this stuff does go on and on and projects like a Mancera -- so beware of over spraying.

The opening - for me, Hindu Kush opens up very medicinal, after a VERY brief (1-2 min) hit of sweet and fruity (banana?) brightness. It's just crazy how much and how fast HK changes in the opening. As for the rest of the first few hours... how to describe it? It reminds me of what you might get after spraying Loewe 7 Anonimo (smoky incense that registers as burning clove) over Tiger Balm ointment. If that sounds weird to you, it kind of is, but in a very likable way. And yes, as someone has said, there is the vaguest trace of fishiness deep in there if you really put your nose up to it. That may actually be the cannabis, as that part is a bit reminiscent of slightly turned hemp oil, to my nose. Overall, I get a feel of old world herbal medicine put to work, much more than the scent of a perfume. Calming, spicy and cooling at the same time. Therapeutic.

The dry down - it takes a good 2-3 hours or more to fully transition, but when it gets there, HK becomes something entirely different. Sweetened and gently bitter smoke traces, resinous and woody -- nothing in your face. Just the smell of peace and contentment. A walk through an ancient monastery's grounds, the air filled with calming incense and well worn wood, rich, fertile soil and the sound of quiet contemplation. This is probably where some people are drawing comparisons to Black Afghano or even Interlude Man, and I get it. Both end up in a similar place, softer and more settled than where they begin.

For some reason, HK evokes thoughts of Heinrich Harrer's time in Lhasa (Seven Years in Tibet). And you know what? I like this and see great "grower" potential as I get to know it better. And I like it in totally different ways from what I expected. Don't you just love when that happens?

@rickdean22 - You may just be experiencing the difference between an older, more macerated/oxidized bottle vs a fresh one, where it can take some time and air exposure to bring it all together. Seems unlikely that poor storage would result in anything other than something that smells flat out "off" or funky in a bad way. If you're in the market for a better bottle, I can speak to the one I just got from Fragrancebuy.ca being a winner, and at a great price.

Fragaddict123

There is something about this fragrance that I don’t like
Although I don’t hate it I can say I also don’t like it
It’s “different” that’s it
Maybe try it in the cold weather next time
But now it’s nothing iam looking forward to wearing again

rickdean22

Bought a small decant and loved it. So I purchased a bottle from GiftExpress. I've purchased many fragrances from them with no quality issues. However this Kush juice is heavy with alcohol and nothing like my almost empty bottle I bought from FragranceNet about 6 months ago. Unsure of my conclusions I sprayed my old legit bottle and GiftExpress Kush on seperate test papers. My wife immediately picked my old bottle and said GiftExpress smelled like alcohol.

Box, packaging, bottle, sprayer, labeling, number etchings on glass bottom, bag and even the number of cardboard crinkles inside match my other legit Mancera's. Frustrating as I've always had 100% luck with GiftExpress.

Perhaps the bottle was stored incorrectly? Hope they accept my return.
Your comments are appreciated. Rick from Kansas

I think this is the only fragrance worth checking out from Mancera, incense is strong and dominant tho not being too overpowering. First blast of this perfume is quite strong but after 20 minutes it became more creamy and green.

I bought this on 2019, i found it genderless and till today i use it because it is unique.

RedMartyr

ok so im going to smash the misconceptions here. I am a heavy Cannabis smoker and im also a fragrance enthusiast (well im getting there). Hindu Kush is not Hashish, its a strain of cannabis that originally grew in the Kush mountain range on the Indian side. there is another strain that grew on the Afganistan side and its called Afgan Kush, and for hundreds of years this Afgan stain has been processed into Hashish. Now that that is out of the way- this fragrance smells nothing like cannabis. i find it smells a lot like the incense that people would use to conceal the smell of cannabis. its very long-lasting and not a bad scent, but i wouldnt recommend blind buying it.

The strange thing is that those who r interested in this fragrance do not smoke hashish..
while hashish smokers are not interested in buying fragrances at all.. 😂😂😂
I swear I smelled this type when I was 8 or 10 years old in the 80s ..but I was young to know the name !..
I just smell a dry cigarette tobacco or an empty cigarette's box !.. there is no cannabis!.. also no banana note at all !.. 🍌🍌🍌 😂😂😂
I feel a dark soul !.. may b attractive .. but I am not in love with it !..
May b the longevity is strong.. but the sillage is moderate ..
I smell it suitable for four seasons.. but of course it is not suitable for me..
To b fair I give it 4.5 out 5 .. good quality but again not for me !..
*Monday July 5, 2021..
after five days struggle with myself I decided to buy Hindu Kush..yes my mind got stuck in the smell..
I passed by the store I tried it at but damn !.. the bottle I tried before sold out two days ago!..and the rest is a batch bottle "2020" with the "magnetic cap"..damn it is nothing besides the one I tested five days ago with the "scroll cap"..it's very very light..it's NOTHING.. like the aftershave and eau de parfum concentration !..
Really i blame myself so much that I didn't catch what I thought wasn't right for me!..
it's fate but if I meet it again i will catch it ..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Friday July 22, 2021..
After a hard search for 2 weeks ..only I found one bottle issued on 2021 .. the fragrance is very rare here in Cairo !.. and because I loved the fragrance I returned to what I tested 15 days ago ..which i wasn't convinced (batch 20i252b) with a magnetic cap !.. of course it will b much better than 2021 (as I was believe) !..
I remember well I tested and sprayed the 1st spray from this bottle 15 days ago and it was weak .. but now I think I was wrong ..it's another !.. it's seems the same smell of the scroll cap bottle !.. the same opening with the strong dry tobacco !.. the performance is completely different !..
Now I am asking my self.. "did the entry of oxygen into the bottle make it better and improve?!" .. 🤔 ..of course I think so ..
Yesterday baba worn only 1 spray .. I swear it's unbelievable sillage !.. 16 hours now and I smell him very well !..
A fragrance that sticks to the mind..mysterious and sexy.. charming..elusive..oily ..highly concentrated maximum 2 sprays .. if u saw it don't hesitate to buy it ..
Thanks a lot Mancera .. it's great work 10/10 ⭐ 👍 🌹
Beast mode fragrance 10+ hours but not so massapealing, try before buying.
And its not similar to black afgano
curt42
Ordered a bottle immediately after sampling. Love this stuff. Yes, there is a bubblegum opening. But that fades after a few minutes. Don't expect a major cannabis thing. It is there, but blended really well with the patchouli, vanilla and spices. The draw for me is that it definitely has it's own vibe here. Although there are familiar notes listed, this is distinctive. I don't find anything about this as too strong or off putting. Can be worn in summer if light on the spray. Like most Mancera fragrances, this one lasts, especially on clothes. Projection is good for 2-3 hours, but not beast. Great scent trail for 6-8.
Chesco
Blind bought new bottle. Smelling for the 1st time for you guys.
*Edit: After blind buying, Hindu Kush is Mancera's clone of Nassamato's 'Black Afgano'.
Very good clone actually, Nassamato uses high quality ingredients and is superior in every way vs Hindu Kush. If you absolutely love the scent dna and on a budget, Hindu Kush is the best option. But since Nassamato uses high quality natural ingredients its hard for a synthetic based company like Mancera to completely copy it, so there are differences.
---------------------
Opening:
Blast of rubbing alcohol sooo strong! :(
Followed by a blast of pink bubblegum that lasts forever.
Interesting, hmmm, like most perfume houses, there is a similar scent vibe that runs through all a perfume house's frags, probably because their ingredients come from the same factory.
Gosh, it leans fem, but has that masculine 'Egoiste'/'Hugo Green' ginger-spicy note to it.
Im now getting some kind of smoky old dusty wood note, maybe it's the Guaiac Wood?
I can definitely get some kind of cannabis leaf note vibe, but it's not over-powering made by the perfumer, in order to make it wearable and elegant.
There is a note of fake cinnamon that smells like sweet cinnamon heart candies that's pretty strong in this, which is mixed with the patchouli note. I HATE frags that use this synthetic fake cinnamon heart candies note, it smells cheap and juvenile.
Mid/Heart:
I just looked down on my wrist, holy fuck EXTREEMLY OILY! :D Idk why, but i love when frags show an oiliness to them, makes me think of high quality lol
Jesus, this an oil slick, not going away, i wonder why, do you think they actually used real cannabis oil??
The frag does have a shampoo scent dna to it, which when i think about that it ruins it for me.
This frag is suppose to garner lots of compliments, people sniffing you up & down lol.
Tbh, i wonder if it's those people that enjoy blazing up a good ol' mamajuana joint, those brain types that really enjoy the scent of cannabis.
Here's the thing ive learnt. People that smoke marajana get some sort of payoff with it thus they continue to smoke, and they start to associate that scent as pleasurable because it reminds them of the payoffs of smoking it.
The same thing happens with the human brain with coffee, at first it's just dirt water & bitter. But once the brain gets hit with the endorphin payoffs as well as the vitamins and energy boost alert one gets from drinking it, the person begins to fall in love with not only drinking coffee and the flavor, but also the aroma of grinding the beans.
So my theory is this, people that smoke mamajuana will absolutely LOVE this scent on you and sniff you up & down!
Those that don't smoke, will perceive you as a loser, immature,
And because of this, this fragrance REALLY intrigues me!
Then i ask myself, "Where would i wear this, what's appropriate?" You can't wear this to court, you can't wear this to a job interview...lol
Im thinking drinking nights with the friends, on the beach, shopping in malls, outdoor sport activities, and chilling at home.
Man this frag actually is really strong! Smell it too much and it can be headache inducing.
But on the flipside of the coin, would leave a nice scent trail, the sillage is incredible on the new batch and people will smell you.
Bottom/End/Dry-off:
Hasn't changed much, including the intensity, this stuff lasts!
Arm still really oily!
Smallest feminine musk note slightly reveals itself.
Test before buying this one, incredible value of only $85 US for a 120ml (that's 20% extra juice for free!).
And find out if you're a person that enjoys this scent.
Personally that fake cinnamon heart candy and pink bubblegum that lasts forever is the deal breaker with me, i hate when companies use that cheap fake shit, cause it makes me smell like a cheap fake human. That and it gets cloying. I know young people love all of these things, so if you're thinking about trying it, buy a sample and see what you think. It's 100% unisex but definitely more suited for a younger female. Actually, would make for a bad-ass female clubbing scent! The best thing about this and that makes it unique is the cannabis oil note.
If it didn't have that cannabis oil note in it, id rate this a 1/5.
3/5 Woofs!
I downvote every review exceptionally long. Give it a cut Chesco, nobody cares.
cwavah
Beautiful fragrance with a wearable cannabis note.... Wore this at a night out and got compliments all night ..
Cannabis note dorminat from opening with bergamot to a more spicy dry down . This already on my bucket list
LisaLovesPerfume
I wore Hindu Kush for the first time today. I got many compliments on this fragrance. With my body chemistry, it has a citrus/medicinal quality. It's different and I like it...and apparently others like it as well.
Bee-young-ka
A blind buy that i was hoping was a Mancera version of black afgano.
The same something that makes me hate Serge Lutens Noir and even femininity bois is present here.
the canabiss note is not the mellow of black afgano.its grassy and too .....just too much.
not for me. but hey very strong.
I can sense wave musk in there (which i adore) but its really not for this lady.
and i'm not letting my lover wear it.
nope. sorry. can't do it.
if you like serge lutens noir this is probly for you.
i bought it for the labdanum. still not for me.
Fazh97
There's a lot going on up top. There's a sweetness which is VERY similar to Mugler Pure Havane, there's a candied green note, a bit of smoke and spices around the edges.
Fortunately the sweetness dies down and you're left with the smoke, spices, and a little patchouli.
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I wish it was less sweet and more green. There's no cannabis in here at all. I think it's just okay. Doesn't have anything particularly interesting going on but it's not bad.
Don't regret trying it but not full bottle worthy
lostsoul007
This is very well crafted, versatile and quite natural smelling.
I get more of a hemp smell with a mild sweet incense patchouli and creamy ambery white musk and guaiac wood.
Kinda smells like a head shop...
Super sexy if worn with style and swag...
Excellent longevity and projection creating a sexy scent bubble past an arms length for a few hours before leaving a mildly projecting, dense but clean, skin scent til you shower next. I can imagine this would go great with hemp body lotion.
This has a PERFECT note breakdown for a cannabis fragrance. I love every note listed and it’s blended so damn well...
This is actually a very fun fragrance to wear... Different enough from your typical designers without loosing mass appeal and unique enough for frag heads without becoming too obscure. One of the better Manceras IMO.
Also has an attractive name, especially when asked what I’m wearing... Hindu Kush... haha. Just sounds cool.
“Oh you’re wearing Sauvage? That’s cool...” haha.
Although I still wear Sauvage sometimes. I ain’t hatin. Too bad it got so popular... Plus it was a gift from me ma. “It’s not for me... it’s for me ma...”
But yeah, Hindu Kush... Cool frag. Smells awesome, gets compliments, versatile, alluring, mysterious, has excellent performance, fun to wear and say, and can be found for cheap... I got a tester for $69!
Ps. I gotta say, I don’t really get the banana note some have mentioned here... fortunately lol.
NoiBoi
Purple and green swirls of incense, cannabis and musk. The cannabis note provides a crisp greenness, but very smooth as the composition is not sharp at all. I detect a fruitiness that reminds me of apple, and along with the incense it’s reminiscent of Parfum D’Empire’s Wazamba which is also an excellent incense fragrance. Overall I think this is an excellent scent.
3.5/5
Raoku
To me Hindu Kush reminds me of a head shop at some beach in America.
The incent note is very well blended part with the Labdanum.
The cannabis is barley noticeable but it is there and is also blended very well with all of the other notes.
I do not really smell anything out side of a incenty herbal floral mix with a slight spice.
Honestly if you are buying this for the cannabis side look some where else because it is not that.
But I really do enjoy this fragrance, I spray 4 sprays 2 on each arm I avoid the neck and any place near the nose (to avoid going nose blind).
Projection is okay at best, but sillage is really where this shines. I kid you not this fragrance on my skin lingered in the air a solid 30 - 40 seconds after I had walked threw that area.
I recommend testing seeing how this is a very niche fragrance.
Once again I really do enjoy this fragrance and I can not wait to see how this beauty preforms in the hotter months.
Hindu Kush 🤔
To my nose, I get zero banana notes based on a lot of peoples reviews saying they smell banana.
At the opening, I can smell a faint smell of Cannabis mixed in with an ashy incense note that gives the impression of a middle eastern henna smell.
Mancera Hindu Kush smells fresh and clean after 10 minutes when it starts to settle. I rather smell this on my girlfriend than on myself.
To me, this fragrance is weird, in the sense that this reminds me of the smell of shampoo. I am getting Pantene pro-v vibes for some odd reason with a hint of white musk!!! That’s exactly how I would describe it with argan oil mixed in.
If anyone has Hindu Kush smell Pantene pro-v shampoo and then come back to this for comparison the resemblance is very uncanny.
I personally wouldn’t wear this fragrance I rather smell the sillage on my woman.
Rating: 8.5/10
MNadz
Incense, cannabis and amber. I also can’t get the previous reviewers comparison of “banana” out of my psyche now...vague smell of banana chips for first few hours😂.
Opens fairly grassy with incense undertones...sweet in an odd way. I don’t dislike it...but wouldn’t want to wear it frequently. The fragrance really comes to life in the dry downs after a few hours as the amber comes to the forefront over other two notes. I do really enjoy it at this point. Does last a long time...so one lives with this for beyond a full workday.
Longevity is well above average...projection is above average as well. I would wear this year round...except for hotter days. This is for casual wear when not working. Unisex fragrance not leaning one way or another.
The opening, although not unpleasant, is odd. Don’t really want to deal with it for three hours to get to the nice dry down. Pass for me. I highly suggest getting a sample to experience this interesting DNA.
Opening = Banana
Mid = Henna
Base = banana henna
catgotnose
Opening is very challenging. Similar to Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir’s. I mentioned there, it smells like horse barn to me. But why? What makes it smell like that? Is it cannabis? Overall smells original and different. That’s why I understand why some people like or even love it but IMO not for general population. I don’t find it similar to Black Afgano. I am glad I tested.
Mancera, "Hindu Kush"
Opening leans masculine...reminds me of a stereotypicapmasculine cologne.  BTW, my skin was pulling a strong skunk-like cannabis note 5 minutes after application (I used a small amount using my decant dabber).  I had to scrub it off, ASAP.  I couldn't take it.   That is a record for me.... 5 minutes, then scrub.   Definitely not a safe blind buy.  Overall, masculine fragrance.  Try a decant first.
Ovamka
Batch 20i252B , has a magnetic cap.
Nothing wrong with the performance of this bottle. Last forever on my skin, strong projection and definitely leaves a trail.
The only thing I would like to add to all the descriptions below about this fragrance.
Hindu Kush doesn't smell of just cannabis/weed. It smells of Kush.
For everyone who have never felt the scent of a Kush type Marijuana, it's a very strong and sweet smell that is definitely captured in this Mancera brew. The fruitiness that people pick up, that's Kush.
Mancera atomisers spray almost as if it were a body mist. Spray accordingly, get some distance between yourself and the bottle when you apply this, it opens up this fragrance a lot.
SkunkApe
My experience with Hindu Kush was fairly different from most of the notes and reviews I see here. I didn't smell any cannabis or incense at all when I wore it.
My first impression when I put it on was that it was very fruity, like a can of fruit cocktail. Over the next several hours as it settled down, more "amber" notes started to emerge like vanilla and labdanum. It's on the sweet side, I didn't smell patchouli or any "dark" notes that others have remarked on.
It was strong and lasted a long time, almost too long in fact. I put on 2 sprays in the morning, and 16 hours later it was still going strong. The next day I could still smell it around the house.
SmellyPete
My batch is 20J287E.
Not happy with this blind buy - very disappointed with this fragrance/batch.
I've got to stop relying on reviews from blogs and other influencers.
Abysmal projection & sillage. Longevity on my skin was not good.
The fragrance itself is quite nice so the performance is a real shame. Granted I've not tried this in hot weather... Does nothing at ~20C indoors.
Hardly a trace after 45min on skin. Maybe 2-3 hours on clothes, but only with nose touching.
I've seen to many recent reports of poor performance of Mancera's Cedrat Boise... Maybe this is a problem with all their recent batches.
Got it for a reasonable price from a discounters - I pity those that pay full retail for this type of performance.
e2less
Don't ask me how I know. But I've been around a lot of cannabis. Hindu Kush has a dried "left over" cannabis smell after a harvest with incense and spices. It' kinda reminds me of a watered down Black Afgano. The woody patchouli balances this fragrance beautifully. This may not be a crowd pleasing fragrance. If you plan on indulging yourself in some recreational activities (where it's legal), this is a perfect fragrance.
Vtec_Malaya
Yes i can smell the cannabis also vibe of henna and herbs..so earthy,its unique
Woody57
If you are searching for a "weed fragrance" look somewhere else. I detect no noticeable essence of cannabis in the green, dried, or smoked form. For reference I have smelled the genuine strain of Hindu Kush before. But if you're looking for a niche fragrance with notes of incense and resins that will stand out from the crowd, this is it.
Hindu Kush is otherworldly. It is reminiscent of the massive mountain range that spans Afghanistan and Pakistan with its pristine blue skies and wilderness. After 10-15 mins on the skin it untangles itself into generous amounts of fresh incense and labdanum with this very mysterious but noticeable green note. (Cannabis?) In the dry down the woody notes emerge along with the amber. All along there is also a bit of sweetness that comes with the vanilla. And some powdery creaminess after it becomes a skin scent. But this mysterious green note persists throughout. Nothing about this fragrance strikes me as synthetic or cheap.
The notes are beautifully blended to produce an article of noticeable quality. It's niche, but not glitzy. Refined, but still a bit untamed. People will notice it as unique. But not in an offensive way as genuine Oud might put some people off. I Love resins, amber and woody notes, so I took the plunge on a 120 mi. flask. And except for the short muddled opening, I truly love this fragrance on my skin. I am still getting to know it as my body calibrates to its varied offerings.
On my skin it has decent projection with minimal sillage. (I have not used more than 3 sprays at one time) Longevity has varied between 6 to 12 hrs. It is not a beast by any means but has been performing well. I can understand why some might call it unisex since many of us have a very well defined idea of what uber masculine is. But I still find this a masculine scent. Either way I would not suggest dropping $100 on this in a blind buy unless you have the cash to waste or are extremely confident in you knowledge of what you truly love. For me I just knew I loved resins and incense. If you can imagine Z. & G.s Just Rock, but not as sweet and with a green note, that's about as best as I can describe Hindu Kush.
The day my bottle arrived I did a little photo shoot and had some frankincense burning while I was wearing HK for the first time. The combination was wonderful. I also layered it once with Azzaro Intense which added some more sweetness and spice. Delicious. But it stands alone quite well.
Day or night for me. Should work well in all but the warmest of weather. Mature, not for boys. Classy, but not too fancy.
Refined, but a bit wild. A bit of a contradiction for sure, but very wearable. I put it in my top all time 5. My only disappointment is I thought it was going to be a true beast from what I had heard. Maybe that's a good thing.
BodyShop
I'm not sure if it's just me but I'm getting a weird fishy note from this that I can't get past, from the opening and into the dry down. I wanted to like this, but it's not for me.
CedarWoody
My associations with Mancera Hindu Kush:
Green tea
Yellow kork
Wooden kitchen sink
Autumn leaves
Sweet absinth
Fresh tobacco
Herbal vapours
Autumn, outside is windy and raining and you took a cup of your favourite green tea.
This is not about cannabis, it is about peace...even when outside is raining.
The opening is herbal, spicy, ripened-sour fruit sort of, a bit medicinal. I don’t get cannabis, … maybe the herbal-green aspect of fresh cannabis leaves? To my nose the main notes are labdanum and spices, with an herbal-sour background. (It’s been compared to Black Afgano; that one doesn’t have a spicy opening; it is sweeter, not sour, with a good quality oud shining from the beginning. Not similar). My thoughts… this one is “different”, elegant!
1+ hour -> It is still spicy, the sourness is still there but not as sharp as in the opening as some mild sweet notes start to develop on top; the herbal-green aspect turned into a mate like note first, to later morph into an earthy patchouli with hints of smoke. Thoughts…. mild to cold weather, office/formal, mature, unisex to male, not playful, very classy!
3+ hours -> Spiciness and sourness are still there, but subdued, covered by a mild sweetness (vanilla? Musk?), an earthy patchouli with woody undertones. The dry down mirrors a dark-earthy vetiver like aroma, not exactly, but a resemblance. Overall leans masculine, professional, mature, sophisticated…. a great scent!
ozlemcim
Walking through the spice bazaar. Henna, henna and henna again was I mostly smell. Masculine side.
If you want an edgy versitile scent no one else wears, read on.
I was excited to receive this in the post, like most fragrances i purchase. Yeah, okay, Im a bit of a frag head but this one is the last... promise. And such anticipation can lead to disappointment. Fortunately, his one was exactly what i hoped it would be and more.
The opening was almost a very fleeting nod to YSL Kouros esque for 30 seconds, which I enjoyed. Was it a drug induced hallucanation?
Then the scent settled down to being a bright, slightly sweet, green note with a hint of incense smoldering away. It plays this balance for the rest of the journey. Nothing cloying about it. No citrus or aquatic notes, no powdery iris. Instead, this is a modern oriental take on a something from, just a hint mind, of the 80s. One that perhaps bypasses the next 20 yrs of blue fragrances. Its something akin to Guerlain Ideal Intense, but cleaner, fresher and brighter with a slight soapy quality.
In short, this is the nicest go to incense stick you would burn to mask the cannibis joint you just smoked. Uplifting.
While this unisex scent does have a masculine vibe, it would, in my opinion, be an intreging edgy womans scent. its no sweet floral, your mother would not wear this scent unless she was once a hippy or is Grace Jones. And that sums it up, for a man, its a departure from the common, a bit different from most. For a woman its edgy, hip and sexy in a non Kardasian way.
And, dispite all of that, this is very much, for me anyway, a versatile scent,
BTW, I use to smoke a lot of weed in the day (see my profile pick), there is no resemblance to weed... dude.
In conclsusion, I end my journey, appropriately on a high with Hindu Kush. Its dope man, worth a toke. It could become my signature scent, a nod to my past and future. I will be wearing it to the office tomorrow for sure.
Longevity, a good 12 plus hrs, medium scent bubble. Still a skin scent the next day.
Overall 4.5/5
