During lockdown I got into perfumes big time! I ordered 20 samples from the Mancera website ( Love perfume houses that allow you to try and take your time before you commit to a full bottle!)
Roses jasmine was the first one that I instantly loved and ordered a full bottle of. Then I decided to get a back up bottle of ( both 120ml)
On me, this is feminine without being too girly. It's a discreet sensual smell and the pear is the most prominent note for the 1st couple of hours. After that, a soft jasmine comes to play and stay while the musk is there till a shower it off. I really love this scent and the lasting power is incredible for something so refined. I find it well blended. I can't pick any of the citrus notes ; the oakmoss is here throughout the wear but it's faint and in the background. This really shines on me during the summer months and when I get hot, it seems to revive itself even at the end of the day. I got a few compliments when I thought it had vanished. Take advantage of the Mancera and Montale website to get to know their perfumes before you buy a full bottle. Mancera is my favourite perfume house. I have so many of their offerings; I'm slowly reviewing them. I have been wearing this one since 2020 and I love it!

This perfume gave me headaches at first. Then i waited and waited for months til it macerated perfectly and now has become one of my favorites. Beautiful rose and jasmine fragrance with a burst of pear and dries down to a calming oakmoss. I love layering this with Hermes H24 EDP. They are so good together.

Ah, this is LOVELY 😍 Think Delina without the fruits, but with jasmine and pear. Light, floral, fun and exciting. Full bottle worthy for me!

CHYPRE-(OUD) with Jasmine & Citrus-Rose-(GERANIUM). Opens with a fresh, citrus-fruity burst of pear, green-grass, lemon & mandarin, that deepens into the floral heart of the titular jasmine & roses accented by orange-blossom & patchouli. This all rests on a base of white-musk, oakmoss & cedar. Oud isn't listed, but I feel it there in the background. The rose here is velvety and leans to the lemon-y rose tones of geranium. Jasmine here brings some grape-leaning tones and embellishes the fruity white-floral aspect. The base here is soft and dusty from the white-musk & oakmoss and over time you get some soft woody facets from cedar. This type of scent could easily read as harsh for me, and yet it doesn't - it's beautifully blended, soft and wearable. Has above average performance for year round wear (although I would be most likely to wear this in spring-summer) with signature Mancera style (and this does have reminders of other Mancera scents). It's a love for me. Enjoy!

I’m soooo glad I got just a sample of this! I tend to love everything Jasmin, but…. This one on me smells like wet grass, you know when it just rained and after comes that almost dirty wet smell, this is what this is for me! My husband also didn’t like it he said smells like an old lady 😅

But a got a big bottle of roses greedy and that one is all about the jasmine, fresh not too sweet delicious so I’m happy

Roses Jasmine Mancera has very strong power, in a good way! :) It has more to it than just roses and jasmine. I can pick up pears rounded off with musk and oakmoss which makes it truly unisex. It has a slightly fruity undertone and it's just lovely. It is a spectacular scent.

Starts very well with some green, fruity and fresh blend. Almost every Mancera has very good opening.
After a few minutes jasmine comes around, then rose joins the party. It is quite aromatic and feminine.
Dry down is a bit repulsive for me as i get camphoric nuances with floral notes.
Good for many but not my taste.

this perfume delivers what it name says... bouquet of jasmine and roses. somewhat a little aquatic. fruity kind of sweet. i am so glad this fruity rose doesnt turn sour on my skin.

light and translucent, but still rather long lasting. i am enjoying this a lot!

I have to say I'm quite unsure of how I feel about this fragrance. I like it I think????? Let me try to explain

I was actually very impressed when I smelled the cap, Fresh jasmine with a hint of rose and a slight fruity something that I thought was lychee but now that I know the notes is probably the combination of pear and citrus. I sprayed it and I disliked it a few minutes in. It wasn't repulsive enough that I'd say I hate it, but the slight sour fruitiness I was initially pleased with disappeared and was replaced by a cloying, synthetic and extremely sweet rose and I'd wager some of the green notes from the oakmoss as well. I decided to keep wearing it just to see if my opinion will change and it did, somewhat. I wore it out a couple of times(before the plague happened) and a lot of my friends and even a few strangers (all ladies) complementing my fragrance. I kept wearing it just to keep testing but whenever I sniff my own wrist I was put off by how see it was. It took me a while until one day I was wearing it in my car and realise the sillage smelled very different from when I smell it up close on my wrist. The sillage is mostly jasmine and pear with a little but of citrus, some of the synthetic sweetness was there but it wasn't cloying at all. Not the most unique fragrance by far but very pleasant and easy, long-lasting pick for a spring/summer day out, just don't put your nose directly to it maybe unless you plan to get a cavity from how sweet the synthetic rose is up close

I've been sampling a set of Mancera perfumes recently and I must say that I like almost all of them very much. Roses Jasmine, in particular, stands out as my favourite so far. This is to me how the perfect floral bouquet should smell: rose and jasmin playing together in a powerful, yet delicate scent, with no sour smells, weird notes or sharp edges. I'm definitely going for a full bottle of it - perfect scent for the spring. It makes me smile!

Second impression, I now have a FB: as many others pointed out, there is a pear note all the way through this perfume timeline. It starts very strong, but after 15-30 min calms down and then stays in harmony with the full composition. It's not a ripened pear, rather a fresh and slightly green one (which is probably the effect of the grass note). The rose and (slightly less) jasmine appear progressively on scene, making a very well-blended composition altogether, which lasts 9+ hours on my skin.

Note after one month of wearing this perfume almost on a daily basis: I still like it very much, but my perception of it has quite changed. To me now it just smells like a fresh, fizzy pear juice. I can't really distinguish the flowers any more...maybe my sense of smell is a bit saturated or I just got a bit bored (?) It does not happen to me often to have such a change of mind with a perfume in a short period of time...I'll continue wearing this perfume gladly, but not with the same enthusiasm that I had a month ago.

I'll keep this entire timeline written in case it helps other readers, but next time I'll definitely test a perfume for a longer time before writing my review.

I thought this would be a stronger version of Montale’s Aoud Jasmine and Givenchy’s Mademoiselle. But I should have listened to other reviewers when they said this is a chypre - it’s dusty and dated.

piahellgren

Gorgeous perfume and, granted, "perfumey", so if you have something against that do stay away! Anyway, loads of lemon, mandarine and pear in the opening and especially the lemon and the pear follows into the deep and satisfying musky jasmin grounded in oak moss. Not so much rose, but a nice dose of orange blossom and patchouli, not very earthy. I find the jasmin, the oak moss and the cedar to be what stays the longest and the pear keeps on peeking through. It's a strong and powerful and intoxicating scent, almost brusque, totally in your face, very stylish and I-don't- take-no-for-an-answer fragrance. I don't think it is too sophisticated and I just love it.

Volatile

A Blast of roses and jasmine followed by faint pear and musk, it’s quite pleasant until Mancera’s extremely bitter and invasive oakmoss takes over and ruins it for me, Suitable for those who are looking for that fresh out of shower kind of scent.

gotvx

Obviously, rose and jasmine are the standout features but pear brings up a close third. I love the opening and it stays fairly linear for the duration. My only complaint is the longevity is not like the typical Mancera. I only get about 6 hours out of it after which it becomes a skin scent. Even on clothes it doesn't last very well. That aside, I still love it.

dajc26

Big fan of Mancera but just cannot find how to enjoy this Roses Jasmine. It's very synthetic in a negative way. Best way I can describe it on my skin is plasticky and nauseating. Most of the Mancera is synthetic smelling but enjoyable to me. Just not this one. I will keep trying.

DrRosie

I tried to like this perfume, for some reason it did not agree with me. I wore it three times and it made me feel nauseated. I am assuming it was the Rose and Jasmine combo. Overall, it is a great fragrance and it lasts very long on the skin.
Ironically I gave it to a friend, she told me it is the best perfume she has ever had. Perfect example of how fragrances are subjective.

scensitive

beautiful jasmine rose combination. sillage not as strong as jasmine absolute, fantastic nonetheless with greater floral variety.

sorenza

That's a very special one! I blind-bought it because I was looking for a strong fruity rose/jasmine combination. This is not at all what I was expecting. On my skin pear is very prominent. That's ok. I like pear. But something was disturbing me. I smelled something old-fashioned but couldn't tell what it was. I've figured it out because I don't like that note: oakmoss!
This fragrance is a real chypre floral, like back in the 80's. Very elegant. Very beautiful though I don't like it on me. It projects like crazy.
So beware, don't trust the name "Roses Jasmines"! To my nose, it's rather pear and oakmoss.

Punkrockbebop

Mancera is a great house if you have perfume eating skin like mine. This has great projection & longevity and will last all day.

I should love Roses Jasmine, but it stays firmly in the “like” category. It is so almost there, but it doesn’t have that special something I’m looking for. I’m finding myself yearning for some vetiver, more rose and jasmine and to amp up the base notes and that chewy Mancera DNA just one more notch. Instead, the pear, orange blossom and lemon notes dominate, and slightly sour the composition, which wouldn’t be a bad thing if there was something more earthy to balance it. The cedar, oakmoss and white musk are a nice anchor; I just wish they were.....more. It is a lovely perfume, just not quite a keeper for me. I do really like it, though, and would keep it if I didn’t have 200+ perfumes in my wardrobe.

Zentocs

This was my first niche love. Not too expensive but lasts for a day and my 3 fav. note is included: jasmine, rose and pear. Very loud and strong scent , 2 spay is enough! I'm happy to have it:).

This is a very perfumey perfume, very much in the vein of those legendary 1980s floral-fruity bombs. I’m pretty sure it’s not very popular among the youngsters - then again, it’s not aimed at them either. While I expected this fragrance to live up to its name - hello, Roses Jasmine! - it is not quite so. Yes, it contains a strong jasmine note, and a sweet Bulgarian rose is also lurking behind; however, there is also a very strong orange blossom note that almost overpowers roses. Moreover, these flowers are drenched in fruit juices - mostly pear, but also lemon/orange, and I swear that I can also smell my sworn enemy The Peach. The drydown is all about patchouli and the rotten remnants of those once juicy fruits. It’s an interesting scent, but I’m not sure that I like it - I’d prefer more of roses and jasmine, and less of everything else.

Alisaaa131

Dang, that pear is STRONG!
I wouldn't say this is a fruity fragrance but I'm getting a strong rose and pear with a little jasmine underneath.
I was expecting the opposite, a rose and jasmine dominant fragrance.
This is quite light and not as long lasting as I was expecting but maybe it'll shine most in the spring.
Funny how fragrances smell so different on everyone.

fmharun23

Jasmine and rose combined type of scent. Quite strong in the opening... and quickly become softer and smoother after it toned down. I smell something that similiar with Elie Saab Le Parfum Intense, not identical, just a little vibe of ESLPI. Cant tell what it is.. but im thingking of the jasmine and orange blossom. Overal performance is great. Not a beast mode of projection and sillage but its definitely noticeable and last the whole day. You just need couple of application and you are good to go. No need to respray. For me 4-6 sprays are good enough.

Annabear

Fresh realistic rose petals in pear syrup wrapped up in Mancera’s typical balsamic muskiness. Beautiful opening where the Rose is most prominent but doesn’t seem to last the distance, but the whole delicious development helps carry this fragrance.
Good longevity, remnant sprayed on clothes is gorgeous, projects well. Wearing it on a mild winter’s day, and it’s doing its thing beautifully.

pickle1334

This reminds me of one of my all time favorites, Tom Ford - White Patchouli but with an added hyper realistic pear note that is TO DIE FOR. I'm obsessed.

Agusto

Just sampled a decant of roses jasmine, boy oh boy do i love this perfume, the first dominant floral perfume i want to buy as a male, i have always been able to pick out the jasmine note in my fragrances and just thought i might like a jasmine dominant fragrance, yes i do, jasmine, rose and pear fresh sweetness blended perfectly, the jasmine has a dark mysterious edge about it, almost animalic but not, definitely on the pick up list.

Jewelpaq

This one hell of a powerful potent fragrance, so be very easy on the sprays!!! You will only need one spray & two at the maximum or you will throw everyone away that is in the same room as you are. This projects a long way and lasts and lasts. It just does not wear down until you shower & then you will still get whiffs of it.
I don't get much rose. I just get a wonderful Jasmin cloud everywhere I go that is so beautiful, I never tire of this great perfume. To me it does lean a bit towards the feminine side, but is ok for a man to wear it as long as you are comfortable with your self. I enjoy it & so do the women around me :)

EDIT:
After a few uses, I decided that although this is a great scent, I gave it to my wife. I prefer to enjoy smelling it on her. It is too feminine for me to use.

Mooniq

I love Mancera. Good longevity and great sillage. Here I find a great mix of dark rose, white flowers, fresh ceder, sweet pear & Musk. 1-2 sprays goes a long way, if you spray more it will be a roomkiller and awful. Mancera does not belong to the cheap brands - but they are worth every penny.

jays786

Honestly... just a below average scent.

alberto1964

Each scent of Mancera has its own personality. Roses And Jasmine keeps its promises: first of all has a good longevity and floral notes not ever prevail over those fruity. The combination is delightful.

stephanieklein

The opening of ROSES JASMINE catches you off guard. An easy, "Ooh, that's nice" follows quickly. "Let me just see how it wears." Then you wear it and realize this will not end well. See, you tried it because it's named ROSES... and there's no rose on the drydown or even in the middle, really.

If you're looking for a rose scent, that has a twist of something else, look elsewhere-- like Creed FLEUR DE THE ROSE BULGARE-- because ROSES JASMINE is something else (Jasmine perhaps?).
