Dot by Marc Jacobs is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Dot was launched in 2012. Dot was created by Annie Buzantian and Ann Gottlieb. Top notes are Red Berries, Pitahaya and Honeysuckle; middle notes are Coconut, Jasmine and Orange Blossom; base notes are Driftwood, Musk and Vanilla.

Marc Jacobs is launching Marc Jacobs Dot. The new fragrance continues the cheerful game of petals decorated by modern and characteristic flacons of the Jacobs collection. Polka dots embellish red petals and a ball on the cap, which looks like ladybug in the heart of a flower.

The fragrance is introduced in March 2012, available in 30, 50 and 100ml EDP flacons, along with perfumed body care products. The composition has been announced as floral-fruity, surrounded with exotic notes of coconut and wrapped in soft vanilla embrace.

Top notes of the new fragrance DOT incorporate red berries combined with pitaya fruit, known also as dragon fruit. The juicy and exciting opening is followed by a floral trio composed of honeysuckle, jasmine and orange blossom, while a base closes with a trail of coconut water, vanilla, driftwood and sensual musk. The flacon is made of red glass and decorated with flowers and golden plate with inscribed name of the fragrance and of the brand

Would be a nice inoffensive work scent if it had any longevity to it. Very disappointed that it fades so quickly

JulieeeNG97

Inoffensive and kind of generic. This is my second Marc Jacobs perfume after Daisy Dream and these both have some kind of underlying Herbal Essences shampoo smell. The notes of honeysuckle, jasmine, and musk are definitely present but I wish the fruits would make a stronger appearance. The longevity and sillage leave a lot to be desired, in fact I'm surprised that this isn't an EDT. Compared to Juicy Coture Oui, which is more fruity and fresh and youthful, this is a bit more mature and muted like that one cousin you only see at holidays who you never really talk to but you know has their life together. The accompanying Dot shower gel has better performance overall.

sandraaalindgren

This is one of two fragrances that I have ever rebought in my life. Don’t get me wrong, this is nothing special but i still enjoy it a lot. It’s nostalgic to me! A basic floral fruity scent and not that sweet, a ”clean girl" fragrance. The lasting power of this (and Honey too) is very weak though. And I HATE the big cap!

Caseywasey347

Fresh, smells like lime and pears on me which is odd given the notes have no mention of it

aleea

This perfume is quite strong but it has a really fresh smell and I really like how it smells clean in a way. It is long-lasting but if you spray too much then it us really overpowering and may give some a headache

lilymichelle01

A pretty sweet but not overly sweet scent. You can definitely smell the berry notes from first spraying it to when you wear it throughout the day. It's very light but unfortunately not very long lasting at the same time. I've found myself spraying it multiple times.

kmeid2

While I generally enjoy most of Marc Jacobs' fragrances, this one is a hard no for me. There is something screetchy and synthetic about it and I couldn't get the smell out of my nostrils all day. Nope.

SublimeUtopia

I quite like wearing this as an everyday scent for work. It’s clean, sweet, inoffensive, quite casual. Daytime scent for sure. Edit: now that it’s springtime I’m really enjoying it more and more! Very easy reach and uplifting.

lepx0x

I usually go for woody, vanilla, oriental kind of scents I stay away from floral scents since they give me headaches but for some reason I like this. It’s nothing special it’s your basic floral fruity scent, I have nothing like this in my collection and it doesn’t give me a headache. I wear it time to time when I want to smell girly and it’s great for a summer scent as well. I also get pretty good staying power, stays on me all day.

Nosestalgic

I enjoy this. Marc Jacob fragrances always seem to agree with me and this is no different. It smells sweet and tropical, but not too tropical. The fruit scent reminds me of watermelon but it is probably the dragon fruit type scent I am getting. It opens very fruity before drying down with sweet floral notes. This sits close the skin. The disappointment is that it doesn't last extremely long on skin, if you want this to last longer, it definitely does when sprayed on clothes.

deja1sabel

fresh berries with dragon fruit, then light vanilla with sweet white florals; lasts about 3-4 hrs and sillage is slightly moderate, overall a fresh fruity everyday scent

zkarikuri!?!?!

this smells really sweet and fruity! it doesn't last of project much though, but the smell is so amazing, so it makes me saadddd. but it's nice just to smell and spray to freshen up, not to go out though.

Czarina85

I have both this fragrance (Dot) and Honey. I was told they were similar but I don't think so. Dot reminds me more of Daisy than Honey does. I like Dot and Daisy, I do not like Honey. So, if you (like me) didn't like Honey you might want to give Dot a try.

nora.sa

I typically love floral/fruity scents, but this is not something that I was wowed by. It’s smells very sweet and I feel like you could find a scent similar to this at bath & body works. I really wanted to love this, but it just wasn’t for me.

gemeljoseph

Smells very sweet, fruity and floral. I like the scent but this like other Marc Jacobs fragrances doesn’t last an hour on me. It’s also very close to the skin and doesn’t project at all. I have to overspray and layer with an oil inspired by Perfect by MJ that I got from a third party and Beautiful Day by B&BW in order to get more than an hour out of this. I expected way better performance from a designer fragrance. Glad I only got a 1 oz bottle of this. Can’t wait to finish it off and declutter.

baekhyun

i can see the appeal of this, but on top of the scent not wowing me, the performance would be pathetic for a $19.99 EDT much less a designer EDP. i got it on clearance at burlington and still feel cheated lmao. i'm not really a white floral fan but can appreciate that it's smells like white florals dipped in a tropical fruit juice, which elevates the florals and brings a maturity to the fruitiness. i'd much rather have my immature fruits but if you love white florals i imagine it would be great! just .. be aware it will last for like 30 mins max and even then it's a skin scent.

also for some reason my bottle is the one that's....just the most sad plain bottle with the butterfly pearl thing on the cap? honestly that's more disappointing than the fragrance itself!! i thought that was only for the smaller sizes but i got the 100ml expecting the cute kitschy bottle, and instead have essentially a naked bottle with a cap that a child was able to hot glue shit to. boooooooooooo 🍅🍅🍅

emmadrift

I wanted to love this, since I bought it from FB Marketplace as a blind buy. There's a note in it I can't place, but I don't like it at all. I got the 4ml splash top bottles, and they're oh so cute, but the splash top makes application a lot more difficult. It doesn't last long at all, and it's hard to add to clothes due to the bottle.

cec1l1a//!

this fragrance sort of reminds me of gingham by bath and body works. the florals are very prominent here with a hinge of sweetness. it's pleasant and nice, but not particularly original. it's inoffensive and professional without being TOO professional. definitely great for everyday wear, too!

Leah0026

On my skin it projects super sweet red fruits and a tropical vibe. I think I would have enjoyed this in my teens or 20’s but it’s too sweet and linear for my tastes now. It definitely shares the Marc jacobs sweet shampoo dna. If you enjoy sweet red fruits you may enjoy this.

aa:]05

A very fruity and aquatic perfume, perfect for the summer/spring, non headache inducing, if you’re a fan of juicy red fruits, it’s definitely for you, to me it smells like a fruit smoothie. The sillage is at best arms length, but only for maybe the first 3 hours, after that it dwindles but the scent lasts for a decent amount of time, is say about 6/7 hours. The scent becomes very slightly sweeter on skin with time, probably the vanilla and musk coming in to play, but on clothes it stays mostly fruit on me.

Sillage- 4.5
Longevity- 6
Scent- 7

Rwertz123

I absolutely love this perfume! I got is as an Easter gift and it’s on my top list of perfumes! It’s fruity but floral and a little bit of a powdery scent, great for everyday wear!!!

katxoxo

This is only my second time wearing Dot so I can't fully speak on things like longevity yet. But I will say the initial spray / within the first 30 mins it smells like a combination of pencil shavings and the inside of a Lululemon store. And I'm here for it.

Update: it really keeps reminding me of Glossier You (which Iv owned a lot of bottles of) but it's strange bcos it's also nothing like

Lykopa

Light, slightly generic fruity honeysuckle. Sweet and juicy. A springtime scent. The pithaya is really nice! This is exactly what you want someone standing next to you to smell like.

Gemsense

Starts off amazing with a gorgeous coconut honeysuckle musk with the light driftwood, has me mesmerized… I was thinking why oh why did I wait so long to buy this? It’s a dream come true! Then it meshes with my chemistry and pulls red fruits and berries and turns very linear and generic with no base or middle notes. All a red fruit mash up and not a perfume or a dream come true 😞. Maybe summer heat will change how this works on me? I’ll try again in different seasons and if I get that dream vacay to stay stay I’ll update then ☺️

suzanne_ronald

Polka-Dot DRAGONFRUIT & HONEYSUCKLE. This gorgeous understated scent, signed by perfumers Ann Gottlieb (5th Avenue Elizabeth Arden), and Annie Buzantian (Splendour Elizabeth Arden) is the perfect counterbalance for wearing polka-dots or overdressing. Opens with a burst of honeysuckle & faintly red fruit, with nods to Honey Marc Jacobs, that deepens into a bread-y white floral & dragonfruit heart with coconut & clean nuances, all resting on a musky vanilla-wood base. On the skin I get red fruit, honey and a faint pencil shavings note, while in the air I get a barely-rouge honeysuckle with a bread-like quality (probably pitahaya/dragonfruit). The longer it's on the skin, the more the red fruit comes out. Ultra-light & sheer wearing experience with average performance, and a small scent bubble.

Contrast to Honey Marc Jacobs:
These are different, but there are some similarities with honeysuckle and they share a similar DNA. Dot leans more to red fruit and has the bread-like quality. Honey is a little sweeter. Roughly equivalent performance, or maybe slightly better performance with Honey.

Contrast to Juicy Couture Oui:
These are different but there is a similar vibe with light fruity florals. Juicy Couture Oui leans greener. Performance is roughly equivalent.

Contrast to Tahitian Orchid Calgon:
These are different but there is a similar vibe with light fruity florals. Tahitian Orchid leans more aquatic, and doesn't have the honeysuckle or red fruit but dries down sweeter. TO has above average performance for a body spray, and projection is roughly equivalent but Dot has better longevity.

Contrast to Daisy Dream Marc Jacobs:
These are different, but again a similar vibe with light fruity florals. Daisy Dream has a rosier vibe that dries down sweeter & more shampoo-like. DD has superior performance.

Contrast to Reaction Kenneth Cole:
These are different, while again a similar light fruity floral vibe. The dry downs are similar here, although Reaction doesn't have the bread-like quality I smell in Dot. Performance is a little stronger in Reaction.

Overall: Beautiful, understated scent profile, and an average performance for a light summer wearing experience, this is the perfect scent for when you're slightly overdressed or when you want to fly under the radar. I'm a longtime fan of Honey Marc Jacobs, so it's a love for me. Enjoy!

noshinn

I barely get any fruitiness from this perfume this is more fresh to my nose. I like it, its a nice daytime spring-summer perfume. I think this is definitely a "clean girl" fragrance and its good everyday - work environment scent.

stephm42120

I haven’t smelled the bottle. My review is based on the fragrance lotion: It adds a girly and soft tropical feel. You definitely have to love white florals though because it’s not as fruity as I thought. I think I can smell the dragon fruit. Dragon fruit has a sweet floral aroma so the fruit notes here are very subtle. It reminds me of white florals and natural red berry juice. And the dry down is soft and sweet. It’s fun for the spring and summer.

ellaxx

I have no problem with the scent - I love sweet and fruity perfumes so I feel so good wearing it. Too bad the bottle is so tacky!

elleb03

I bought those for $30.00 and I returned it. I smell nothing after 30 minutes… I loved this when I was 12, but now I’m 20 and really dislike this

jazzscent13

Dewy, soft, and sweet…. its reminds me of smelling a sweet Berry garden after a rainy day. It has moderate projection and longevity… I have to go in with 6 sprays for it to last. I’ve gotten a few compliments on this.
It’s inoffensive…so good for work.
You can usually get this discounted… I wouldn’t pay full price because of the performance. Also the bottle is so cute 🐞❤️

JCORRN

I wanted to like this. I've given it many chances and I just can't. I literally end up having to wash it off I dislike it so much. It's sweet, floral and fruity in all the wrong ways. This doesn't mean other are wrong in liking it, it just means for me, it 100% is a fail.

bea777

I smelt this in the office, somebody I work with was wearing it. The scent was not overpowering or inappropriate for the office environment. It was inoffensive, fresh and clean. The sweetness and light florals were really prominent. Really pleasant, nothing too exciting

Joyfulsmells2

This smells good. It reminds me of DKNY Green Apple 🍏. I had to reapply after 3 hours.

I like it but not quite love it because it reminds me of dkny which I used to wear for 10 years and i think i sometimes get board with that scent.

pauuuu80

I can smell the pitahaya mixed with the white florals and also the berries its really girly and pretty, fresh, floral, and sweet scent.

amg7613

It’s a nice fragrance for warm weather! There is a lot going on here. A delicate, fruity, white floral [that I would almost describe as aquatic or ozonic] drying down into a soft vanilla musk. There’s a hint of coconut in the middle notes you can catch, and it flows well with the fruit and flowers (does not overpower). Lasts about 3-4 hours.

bintTapputi

Simple, inoffensive, clean, lightly fruity, fresh, appropriate for any age. 6/10

Joanabella

If you want to smell clean and exactly like a bottle of shampoo… then this is the perfume for you! Not a complex scent and really not worth the Marc Jacobs price tag, if you ask me.

Lakreutter

Where’s the fruit?! This is a white floral perfume bomb. It stinks. And it’s powerful. The fruit, vanilla and musk are completely nonexistent. Unless you love mature white florals, especially jasmine, and perfume heavy, masculine driftwood you need to look past the cute bottle and leave it. It’s a waste of money. It’s so overblended and muddy. Awful. I understand now why I found this at TJ Maxx, nobody wanted it

BeeStork

I will die on the Dot by Marc Jacobs hill. This scent was the first perfume I ever had that didn't make me feel like a grandma. It was the first time I realized that not all scents are all rose and powder. It smells youthful, the perfect amount of sweet and fruity, and just gives off "living my best life". My current bottle is ancient as I am scared to finish it, as I can't seem to find this fragrance anywhere that isn't marked up. With that said it still has the same scent and the color has not changed at all, as I am very protective of my fragrances and store them well. However, I do remember that it didn't last incredibly long. This is more of an everyday perfume you wear for yourself. It doesn't permeate the air but you do catch the sweet berry scent every now and then. I don't mind reapplying, and it was never so strong that I felt it would choke out anyone in the bathroom.
This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I do believe that it is an amazing first perfume for high school girls and even if you just like a subtle berry perfume.

Lolly_pop123

I don’t really like it, it’s smells kind of soapy and kind of generic like what you would expect from a drug store perfume. I’ve tried to like it but it’s not great

emjh

My husband bought me this when we were first dating because he had smelled it on a (younger) woman at work and thought it smelled nice. He also knows I love ladybirds.

Absolutely hated it! Possibly one of the worst things I have ever put my nose on. Never been able to stand fruity florals, especially red fruits or apples, instant headache. I sold it.

Thankfully it didn't sour the relationship and he knows what kind of scents I do and don't like (often he borrows my fragrances)

hnoel1210

Not impressed. Entirely too sharp and boring. I got it on sale for $30, so for the price, I suppose this could be likable. Go with Honey instead. Much more unique.

Firthm02

Marc Jacobs - Dot
A fragrance that is full of fruity notes that I am obsessed with.
From the first spray onto my skin the smell reminds me of so many happy memories and the connection between a fragrance and a memory still to this day shocks me.
If you like something sweet and fruity this is perfect!
The only down fall I find for this perfume is the longevity on my skin, unfortunately not lasting longer that an hour or two which is disappointing but I will still keep buying and wearing due to the instant memories as soon as its sprayed. I do know that everyone is different and so what may not work on my skin may work on others!

LeeloSteelo

For me personally. Nothing to wow me but nothing to hate. It's fruity floral with not a huge amount of depth. Sweet, fun, floral. Definitely for spring or summer. Not my cup of tea but definitely a safe buy for a teen or very young adult.

Selkiee

This is the best Marc Jacobs fragrance and I'm tired of pretending it's not!
This used to be my signature scent for about 4 years when I was in my late teens.
First fragrance I absolutely fell in love with. So I might be a bit biased here since dot reminds me of happy moments.
Very fruity fresh perfume. It has a bit of spice to it on top.
It's true it's pretty simple, but so good for summer. Sweet red berries, no coconut at all. Nothing more, nothing less.
Doesn't last very long, but more than most mj perfumes. Not a fan of the big bottle tbh, but the 30ml bottle was the cutest thing ever. Definitely a bit underrated.

amyaz

It's meh. Floral with a touch of citrus. Lasted like 6 hours on me though. It isn't bad, it's like one of those perfumes that makes you think of shampoo though. I agree it's like a good nonoffensive office perfume. I don't get orange blossom at all in this though.

mldaleali28

Yesterday, while waiting in the queue to pay for my shopping, there were 3 perfume testers next to me, one of them was Dot. Even if the childish bottle is not in the slightest appealing (to me), I tried it, of boredom if not of interest. Expecting a sickly candy sweet perfume for little girls, based on the bottle, I was surprised to find out that Dot is quite pleasant. Fresh, clean, honeysuckle and orange blossom are dominating the scene. Coconut is very faint, almost imperceptible, even the red fruits are pleasant in combination with the white flowers and the musk. Carefree and summery, nothing memorable but appropriate for the office, shopping or gym. Perfumes are not “age appropriate” in my opinion, if you like Poison and you’re 15 or Candy even if you’re 50, go for it (just don’t bathe in it, perhaps…) as perfume is a personal experience, not for the people around you. Anyway, in this case I would say Dot might be more appealing to the younger generation, especially because of the bottle design. I wouldn’t see myself having this ladybug bottle on my nightstand 😂 The longevity seems to be good, I kept the tester strip and it smells quite strong even after 24 hours. However, this is common with tester strips, on skin it’s a different story, depending very much on the skin ph and other factors but I think sprayed on clothes it will have a good longevity.

Crash000001

My wife got a bottle at a discount store, tried it a few times across a few seasons. Neither of us liked it that much. Ended up giving it away.

It’s not bad, just nothing special.

I think, Daisy, Daisy love, and Perfect all smell a lot better from the same brand.

aeroseana

my friend received this as a christmas present and after smelling it i'm thinking of purchasing a bottle for myself. very crisp and clean-- i'd say this is a safe blind buy or gift because it's not too strong or polarizing. a good everyday office scent for the summer time. nothing to write home about but very inoffensive.
it's quite a youthful and girly scent so i can picture a girl in university wearing this. overall definitely quite decent and enjoyable :)

Lou2679

Received a bottle of dot as a gift for my birthday. The bottle is beautiful, don’t think I’ve ever owned such a pretty bottle of perfume. The scent isn’t something I’d usually go for, very fresh, floral, I don’t really get any fruity notes except for maybe melon but it’s still nice for every day. I didn’t think it would have a very good longevity but I applied some this morning and I’m still getting whiffs of it 6 hours later. It’s quite understated but nice, a casual smell for wearing shopping during the day or running errands. I prefer something with more depth, more spicy, smoky for evening or special occasions so wouldn’t wear it on a night out or if wanting to make an impression. My Lou Lou or pure poison is for when I want to stand out but dot is something I’d wear when I want to smell nice but not strong. I must admit from the bottle I was expecting to be wowed. When you see a gorgeous bottle like this you expect the contents to be special, but when you spray this it’s kind of underwhelming. I still haven’t worked out what it reminds me of, it’s cute but not something I’m going to get through fast. I know I love a perfume when I can’t stop smelling my wrist, when it’s addicting and I can smell it in the air and on my clothes. Sadly I can’t say that I love dot. But it looks pretty on my dressing table and will be used on days when I don’t want to wear a heady perfume

TheLB

I have been eyeing this perfume for so long and I finally pulled the trigger only to be completely disappointed. All I get is a blast of white flowers it has no depth and the lasting power is a joke. The bottle is cute but it is cumbersome and it takes up a lot of space. Overall, not a safe Blind buy.

ChelleLove

In late high school, I remember the girl with the locker beside mine having an array of Marc Jacobs perfumes that she would cycle through. She had (seemingly) effortless confidence and somehow my teenage mind associated this confidence with the red and black bottle that she would often spray. I wanted that confidence, I wanted Marc Jacobs Dot.

I saved up carefully and eventually went to purchase the ladybird themed bottle with the butterflies. I sprayed it onto the tester and... it smelled like chemicals and something sickly sweet. I thought maybe something wasn't right, so I sprayed it on my wrist in the hope that it would improve, but alas, it did not (and the headache wasn't worth it).

Over the years I've been tempted many a time to try different Marc Jacobs perfumes. The kitschy (perhaps tacky) bottles appeal to my inner child. Over time I've realised that's all they are though, pretty trinkets with nothing special inside. The juice (Dot especially) leaves me feeling hollow, slightly nauseated, and questioning where the mistranslation happened between the magical exterior and average at best contents of the bottle.

Marcyjuno

It’s surprisingly peppery and a bit sharp on the nose when you first spray it. It dies down but the longevity isn’t great

allieferraro

In late high school I used to spray this on my clothes--bikini underneath--on hot, humid summer afternoons before hopping in a car full of friends, windows down, ready to go to party. This smells like carefree, playful happiness in a bottle. Don't try and wear it in cooler seasons. Spray it on before a summer adventure and let go!

This is a decent perfume. It's certainly a safe blind buy and I don't particularly dislike anything about it. Fruity, floral, and reminiscent of fabric softener. I really like this for an everyday work scent. This is a simple, inoffensive, and clean scent that isn't overbearing. The fruit notes are pretty faint, so I'd say this is more floral than anything

Having said that, it really isn't anything special. The most unique thing about this perfume is the beautiful bottle. I picked up a 100ml bottle for $40 at TJ Maxx and at that price value I am satisfied. It's also really easy to pair with lotions and layer with other perfumes.

miss_aly

Ok so this is one of my FAVE Marc Jacobs perfumes (love this one as well as Daisy Love) so I was kinda shocked to see so many “meh” reviews on here 😅 I will say it’s definitely a safe blind buy in the sense that it has a generic likability. But I think the honeysuckle and fruitiness mixed with the warm vanilla/woods is sooooo yummy! I’ve had this since senior year of high school and I always try to find it and repurchase it when I run out. The bottle is amazing and I think it’s a super well balanced fragrance for everyday wear. I guess if I HAD to complain it’d be that the lasting power is only moderate. And some may find it “generic” due to its lack of uniqueness. But for me it’s perf! Like a more recent reviewer said, I will DIE on the Dot Marc Jacobs hill!

matth.veronica

For me, this fragrance has a seasonality, it is great for the summer, but at other times of the season I cannot wear it.

khaea5

Even though this scent is very summery, this scent reminds me of halloween. Jasmine is a little strong on my skin but it's still pleasant.

I Love the Bottle it Beautiful.. But the scent don't smell nothing like the notes I get this clean. Fresh melon like cucumbers fused water smell ..it. Might be better layer d with. Others fragrance ... It's like cheap soap Jergens

girlieeusername

more fresh like laundry detergent than fruity sweet to my nose. smells good if you like that clean scent. don't get any coconut or tropical notes like it describes? mostly i pick up on the jasmine, honeysuckle, musk, and vanilla.

aia

A scent is adorable.

kandykiller

I like Daisy ~eau so fresh&a few others by MJ,just that this is a boring unlikeable...1 for me,its just blah idk why....but this is another black cherry koolaid scent for me...not a good smell at all,i like others by MJ,just not this one& also its a very close to the skin scent with no kick....love bottle♡ only lasts 30mins skin scent if that□

TaraRachelle

After wearing half a day, I've been less than impressed. It's pleasant, and inoffensive, but it's a basic fruity floral without much personality. The bottle is insanely adorable, but the scent isn't anything special, although I'd call it a very safe blind buy. It doesn't last very long, and sillage is low. Within 20-30 minutes, it was a skin scent on me, and I sprayed generously. After six hours, I can smell it if I put my nose directly on my arm, but as I said, the scent is very basic and generic, so it isn't one I want to keep sniffing anyway. The best I can say is that it's inoffensive, and the bottle is fantastic, so you'll at least enjoy seeing it on your shelf.

PlanetGrl

A scent as adorable as its packaging. Youthful, exuberant and lovely. I wore it as a freshman at university. It's a true girl's girl fragrance.

Kim35

Jasmindee

Sweet, easy to wear and very likable.

The bottle is the real show stopper here, let's be honest. My mum got the 50ml version for Christmas and I couldn't resist a sniff. The box and presentation are absolutely delightful. The perfume itself is warm, sweet and definitely a crowd pleaser. I really like the fruity berry opening, although I swear I can detect a hint of apples. I also get a thin thread of creamy coconut, light vanilla and some non-descriptive florals in the dry down. Maybe Jasmine? Definitely not the defining note though.

I haven't really got much to say about this one to be honest. It's a safe blind buy and great for casual days, offices or if you want to smell nice and feminine without thinking too much about what perfume you want to wear. Something I'd call an "easy grabber."

I'd be happy to receive this a a gift, but I wouldn't purchase Dot for myself.

CrazyRussianChick

There’s really nothing to write home about this fragrance. It’s as generic as it can get. I’m only keeping it for the beautiful bottle...

perfumequeen5

Finally found a box of this new for under $100 - I've seen retailers and individual sellers pricing it at roughly $200 and it really isn't worth that much. It's a fresh, slightly generic summer fragrance. It's in the same vein as so many other perfumes I've smelt before like Fresh by Moschino or Trini Girl by Nicki Minaj. I think the avant-garde bottle saves it and grants it with a collectability status and I hate being a sucker for that lmao. I totally agree with what other people have said, it could pass as a body spray. Its lasting power is weak but I'd say the scent itself perfectly captures the summer/spring vibe. This review carries extremely mixed feelings which sucks because I wanted to love this so much. I really hope I come around to it but just like the name, its first impression left nothing but a dot.

Soft, airy, clean, and subtly sweet. Nothing offensive about this perfume except the pricetag! For what it is, it's probably not worth the money for most people. It's a nice spring scent for sure but it seems like a body spray in it's composition and longevity. The bottle does give it bonus points though!

MnM

I've had this this for awhile, it's ok, easy spritz and go, but you'll get more from a body spray. I wore it once and since then it's been sitting pretty on my dresser. If they had made the notes more pronounced, maybe it would've been a good fragrance for the summer.- too bad, but then again, I really just bought it for the cute bottle because it reminded me of a lady bug. It's ridiculous how much folks are wanting to charge for this now.

Snippet

A soft, clean floral, creamy, sweet, so unexciting. There is certainly no musk or driftwood to rough it up a bit.

Not sweet enough to feel like one of those young sweet bombs that you might expect from the bottle, not fresh enough to really be a "fresh" perfume. Just a bunch of florals so soft that they are almost creamy. I get jasmine, but it is a very stripped down, one dimensional jasmine. I see now from the notes that the creamy is supposed to be some kind of coconut, but I don't get that specifically. Just soft, perfectly pleasant, meh.

Science&Scents

I did the same as the reviewer below. I found a 1.7oz partial for 20 bucks and thought, "why not?" That bottle is adorable!

Very dragon fruit forward, green, soft projection, generally pleasant and totally forgettable. It's a great, casual spritz-and-go for errands or events with colleagues. I don't think current prices are reasonable for the juice but for a collector, that may not be a big deal.

Reminds me a lot of Versace's Dylan Blue, actually. I'd be hard-pressed to tell them apart for the first hour or so.

Meh

tandem_4x4

I got my bottle today. It is a very generic fresh perfume, nothing special at all, similar to all MJ perfumes I tried to date. I bought it for collection because of the bottle. It is discontinued and costs a lot now, but without bottle I would not spend a cent on this.

Rinio

Marc Jacobs Dot and Elizabeth Arden's 5th Avenue were both created by Ann Gottlieb. The similarity is unmistakable. Dot is lighter and less artificial 90s smelling. Nice perfume very nice but am disappointed they didn't work hard to come up with something completely new.

Stwmylos

Aha!That forgotten sample was a pleasant surprise..Fresh, playful and lively.Of course it is feminine.
Not very good longevity, but it is ok.

Thumbs up!

7.5/10

Note to self: I get watermelon from this. Something about it keeps bringing me back to smell. 🤔 I won't purchase it though. Pass.

tyekristopher

I recall when working at Dillard’s the majority hated the fragrance but they loved the bottle. It really wasn’t for me or my style . The bottle is cute I will give it that much . I think I liked honey more but I can’t remember it’s neen long . These didn’t last long they got pulled not long after due to lackluster sales and performances . Everyone seems to like daisy and I can get the appeal but I do think is has more depth and personality . I recall it being more on the floral side then fruity . I never tried it on so I can’t say if it liked my chemistry or not .

Azisai-

let me start out by saying I bought this when I was 8 simply because of the bottle. The bottle was so cute that as my birthday present I wanted this. I got it, but I didn’t wear it often because I didn’t like the scent back then and it wasn’t really for an 8 year old. However, things have changed.

I adore tropical notes so my opinion quickly changed. First it hit me with those red berries and then with dragonfruit. It kind of gets hard to tell notes from another, but the dry down is just less fruity than the opening notes. It’s a bit fresh spicy yet warm, but still has some fruity sweetness as it quiets down.

The longevity was okay, sillage meh. I’ve had samples of other Marc Jacob perfumes that had longevity and sillage greater than this one. But I’m not going to say that it destroys the perfume.

Because I just used up this old bottle, I miss it,,, although it hasn’t even been a day. It brings back a lot of memories.

Nicki6089

Very disappointed I don't know what this is suppose to smell like but it's definitely not the notes listed

KittyDeBeauvoir

Hands down the best Marc Jacobs perfume (up until this point in my limited experience, that is)!!!

Fight me.

***

Kitty rating: 10/10!

~Compliment Counter~: 1 compliment 😁

missdomino

I like this for spring and summer as it isn't too heavy, it has quite a cold smell and it's really fun! The dragon fruit note is actually what makes this special.

cherubkiss

I first smelled this fragrance on a colleague and I thought it was really lovely. It is fresh, fruity and woody. Recently I received this fragrance as a gift and I love it. I find it very up lifting, fresh and ideal for warm weather. I don't find it immature as some of the reviews have stated. My opinion is that any age group can wear this perfume it is just so refreshing and fairly long lasting. It does not hide away on your skin as so many other fragrances do in summer months. A perfume for summer with a tropical vibe.

Rangel7

I have a long -and not always successful-history of blind buying perfumes just because I like the bottle...Considering that my shelves are currently quite crowded, in this case I decided to try a sample first.
Unfortunately, my fears were confirmed: the bottle is cute - though a little childish- but the juice inside is not something memorable.
It's not horrible, but it's something tropical and sweet, very soft, close to the skin (at least in my experience).
I get the flowers in the dry down, but they smell somewhat artificial (reminds me of one of those Avon perfumes for kids). No vanilla to be found.
Conclusion: not my cup of tea, probably aimed to much younger women/girls. Summery, inoffensive and girly, not great sillage or longevity. Too little to offer for the price, I'm not impressed.

amarayoga

We need a button that says "Love the package, hate the fragrance".

ac234

The bottle for this one definitely stands out among the other perfume bottler. This one sits very close to the skin on me and has clean, fruity sort of smell which I did enjoy.

ProtonN

Cause of the thin structure, clean fruity aroma and the bottle, looks like been made for kids consumers.
It's cute, non-offensive, non-lasting.

Mbrock

Very pretty and summery but super light. I cant believe this is a EDP. When it dries down it reminds me of one of the Coach Poppy perfumes only at about 1/4th of the strength & lasting power. Its nice but not nice enough for me to rebuy it.

bombekmateya

I finally own this one. The bottle is too cute really. I was wondering on which perfume it reminds me.. and when I was driving on a bus in a second i figured out.. Its Britney Hidden Fantasy.

Dot is really beautiful fruity-flower scent. Its non offensive and its for young ladies. Its nice and it really suitable for daytime in office.

Its not complicated, like it:)

annamaria_

The bottle is super cute, and it makes an amazing gift.
The scent itself is not particularly offensive, I think any young woman won't mind it.
I'm not a fan of coconut in perfumes, unless it's very fresh and raw, but I can totally stand it. So Dot doesn't bother me, even though it's a tiny bit sweet. I'd say it's even a little immature. But overall not bad.

YYY_Delilah

This is one of those that gets a bad consensus in the reviews, but which I really like! There are a few like that. Sexy Ruby is another one. But what is pitahaya? Some tropical fruit, or something? Maybe it's that that gives this its distinction - which it does have ... and to me at least an intriguing & pleasant one. It's no powerhouse this - but it is solid & steady.

Ah! So it's in Beyonce's Midnight Heat as well! That's one of my favourite ... purse-friendly ones. Obviously, there's something about the pitahaya note that appeals to me, then.

heavenly_c

When I first spray it on, I get a whiff of strong fruity florals, very clean and refreshing, a bit strong and heavy at first. Then about 30 minutes in, I start smelling Jasmine with hints of Coconut/Vanilla and about 2 hours later my skin has a lovely scent of Woodiness with a Vanilla Musk note. I would rate it a solid 7/10. It lasts about 6 hours on me and 1-2 days on my clothes.

violetstorm

ok so i had to chuckle at the reviews lol.........i agree with just about everyone its just an ok scent......nothing memorable or wow its just there & ok (yes i still have it & still wear it - its that scent i wear to the gym or dance class - very safe lol )

but the bottle kicks butt though lol.......so my review is all about the bottle lol super cute.....looks adorable on your shelf or dresser - great bottle concept - just too bad they didnt put as much thought into the scent lol

so marc jacobs your daisy line still rules for me :):)

lnoskin

This kinda of reminds me of your typical tropical fruity celebrity fragrance but with better longevity and silage. It smells good. I only have a mini version that I keep in my purse and I won't be repurchasing it. But I will enjoy it while I have it!

N311

Meh. I wish there was an "ok" option, because that is how I feel about this. I bought a 1 oz. Bottle at tjmaxx this summer & wore it almost everyday throughout summer. The weird thing is, I can't even remember the exact scent of it despite how much I wore it over the past summer. The perfume is easily forgettable! I remember it being fruity, but that is about it. It is not a bad scent by any means. It is inoffensive and smells nice, but it is just too generic to remember. It is a shame because the memories attached to scents is what I love about perfume. I want to wear something I won't forget & that will being back memories.

inc0rporeal

Such a cute bottle, but the juice inside is leaving me a lot to be desired!

All I get from this is some REALLY watery, nondescript fruits, some nondescript florals, and something peppery but also hard to pinpoint. Boring, boring, boring.

A lot of perfumes I owned were left at the house my ex and I shared after our split, and I’m certainly not missing this one.

QZL

I agree that this is a very generic scent. It is a fruity floral, leaning more towards the floral and slightly woodsy side on the drydown. Though it is nothing special, it is well-balanced, and a versatile scent to transition between day and night -- the woodsy element adds something that makes it perfect for getting a couple drinks or a late dinner after work. Unfortunately, it only lasts about 3-4 hours on me. If you love the bottle design and find it at a discounted price, it's worth a try, but at its full price, don't bother.

As for the age range, I imagine that this is for someone 20s-mid 30s, although of course you can wear any scent at any age. I definitely wouldn't blind buy this for a teen, though, since it is slightly cloying and heavy. The bottle makes it seem like a younger scent than it is.

tatetatebaby

I guess this just doesn't mesh well with my body chemistry, because it smells like a funeral home on me.

Carol-stefann

Om my skin, at first spritz this fragance smells like cucumber and musk. Maybe it's the pitahaya. After 5 minutes it softens and it's only perceptible at close distance. The smell is fresh, calm, feminine and fruity but doesnt last too long on me, such a shame.

AHeartLikeMine

I smell ginger and flowers in this, which doesn't make any sense. I'm using the 4 ml dabber, and I don't think it's been tampered with because it was sealed in a blister pack that I had to cut open.
I don't smell fruit at all until well after the drydown, by which point it's a skin scent only.
I'm sooo glad I got the mini off Ebay instead of paying $$ for the 1 oz bottle at Ross.

snowbunny1275

Just got this on sale on target.com for $33! It's not worth the full price since it's a very generic scent, but for a clearance price of $33 (I think they're discontinuing it) I couldn't resist. I had wanted it since I was in High School (that was 7 years ago), but back then I didn't have the funding to make this purchase. When I did start making money, my taste changed. But I got it for my collection now!

It's a light, slightly sweet, but fresh, scent that you could wear to the office. It makes me feel giddy inside, like I'm reliving High School (the good parts of it; it was definitely a nightmare at times) the way I wanted it to be remembered. I feel like a youthful child with no burdens of crippling university and graduate school debt, with no bills, or rent to make. For a split second, I am free. Then reality hits you like a back of bricks, but that's okay, this scent will always be there for me to escape to my fantasy.

I recommend getting it! Especially for the new clearance price! If you don't like it, it could end up being a very overpriced, but cute ornament for your bedside table.

DebiL1211

Hints of coconut and jasmine on my skin. Beautiful fragrance. Longevity and sillage are fabulous. On my list for a full size bottle.

carolinneus

I love Dot. This was my signature for the first two years of high school (though when I use it, I spray a lot less on now!) until I ended up switching to Roberto Cavalli's Acqua. This was an odd move, now that I think about it, since Dot is much more 'me'.

The berries are the strongest note to me, but that might just be the red packaging talking. Dot is obviously a fruity-floral but I don’t say this in a dismissive sense (as in, I don’t mean to say it smells like all of the others out there). The fruit notes and the floral notes really mix well, and it doesn’t feel too formulaic. The driftwood also complements the overall fruity tone — and it definitely complements the already slightly woody coconut accord — in that it’s not a conventional woodiness, and it keeps the scent lighter than something like cedar would. This is such a well-balanced scent, and, I like to think, actually quite unique.

The silage is decent. It’s not too strong but it’s still there. Longevity isn’t amazing but I'm a sucker for anything I like the smell of!

Not only do I love the scent, but the ladybug concept here is really sweet, too, though I must say that I don't think of ladybugs as being as tropical as the coconut and dragonfruit notes here. The flacon is just adorable, but as nice a touch the little pearly plastic bugs are, mine broke off very quickly.

Bomber81

I blind-bought this perfume off someone online, unfortunately, someone else picked it up for me (as I don't have a car), so I didn't get the chance to test it..
I was so excited to try it when it arrived, but to my dismay, IT DIDN'T HAVE A SPRAYER!! :(
If anyone has an empty bottle and they would be willing to send me the little sprayer cap thingy, I would be overjoyed!!!
Please PM me if you can help a sister out!
THANKS!

P.S. I'll come back and review it properly once I can actually spray it lol

Isobela

Sweet sugar water is all i'm getting. Very generic, smells just like 'oh Lola' and every other Marc Jacobs perfume (with the exception of Decadence perhaps). I just do not get the hype around Marc Jacobs fragrances?? what am i missing?? Only the bottles are appealing in my opinion but I'm more concerned with the juice so wouldn't pay the asking prices just for the bottle alone.

Very safe fragrance couldn't possibly offend anyone.

Contessa01

I'll be honest - I bought this mostly for the bottle :) With regards to the scent I am at a bit of a loss trying to describe it. It smells quite... generic I guess. Not in a bad way as it is a pleasant perfume and not a cheap knock off but it smells like the lingering remnants of a perfume that once filled the room. Almost as though you just missed it or the person wearing it. Or you enter a perfume shop and a bit of everything floats in the air. It is a fairly safe buy, it's a fruity floral and quite soft and mainstream. I feel the same way about Marc Jacobs Honey - I can't really smell much at all with that one. Perhaps it is my nose. Sorry for the vague descriptives but this is the best way I can describe it. It is funny how watery some of Marc Jacobs fragrances are. Perhaps the Dream version of Daisy (the blue bottle) being the biggest offender. I know a lot of people love it but after two minutes the smell is gone essentially, as though I have smelt a cloud or a ghost wearing perfume. Marc Jacobs seems to enjoy making these fragrances. I wonder why - is it so people keep respraying and buy another one so soon? is it to appeal to parents searching for a 'first perfume' for their daughters and it fitting the bill of being nice but not attention seeking? In a nutshell I would say Dot is a soft fruity floral (I don't think it smells even remotely like Victoria's Secret Very Sexy which is a strong pepper/pimento/spicy floral) and it's a safe choice with a cute bottle to boot.

s2jkbrad

Pretty but really, really soft. My husband bought me a small sampler, as a really sweet surprise but I can barely smell it. It just smells kind of sweet and soft. It reminds me (and I'm aging myself) of the Disney store perfumes from the 1990s that were at the mall. It smells like the Snow white one.

Allen-at-home

Although not a gender-bender, I sometimes prefer sweeter or more candy-ish scents that simply aren't available in the men's department. I sampled Dot today at the local outlet mall, on paper AND skin, and I have to say the marketing for this was all wrong! The notes listed include red berries and dragonfruit (pitahaya), but Dot is a heavy floral! I can't even discern any fruit at all. Don't get me wrong, I have learned to appreciate a good floral, but this one AIN'T good, ha, and certainly not what I expected from the "cutesy" packaging. I would NEVER buy a full bottle of this.

parfumparfan

I think this smells too woodsy to work with the fruity notes. I love fruity perfumes but this one falls short. I get a yummy, sweet berry but its overpowered by the florals which are headache inducing. Then the woodsy note is too strong and happens too early so it smells like a damp cardboard box--less fruity fresh and more pulpy. I really wanted to like this but can't wear it. Its best quality is that it could be for an older crowd thanks to the floral heart, which is rare for fruity scents. Too cloying for the summer so perhaps best in the spring. The bottle like all Mark Jacobs creations is absolutely adorable.

Mirei

I have a sample of this and sprayed it one day before going to classes on my neck and wrists. Sometime during the day I kept getting whiffs of what reminded me of my boyfriend whom I’m in a long distance relationship with (I hadn’t seen him in a few months which is why it was particularly odd to smell it). It smelled similar to his cologne or freshly washed hair. I realized it was coming from me. Conclusion: this perfume smells like a man on me. The initial spray is fresh and fruity, I can smell the dragon fruit and coconut, and shortly after it ventures into playful juicy white florals that do feel cheerfully feminine. But it dries down into a cool fresh aquatic scent to me. And there’s almost something kind of smokey about it, woodsy but smokey too. I guess that’s the drift wood? Or the musk? Someone described it as being like pencil shavings and I get that. Either way, I’m not really a fan. I like very gourmand sweet feminine smells and on my skin this feels a lot fresher and more unisex. I believe this could actually work for a man to wear, at least the dry down.

Nicole f

The bottle is beautiful. All I smell in the perfume is a juicy watermelon, I know watermelon isn't one of the notes. It smells nice and fresh but doesn't last long.

lozylaura1995

the florals in this scent overwhelm me a bit an make me sneeze but I still love it and LOVE it some more.
The fruit can be STRONG but in a fun way. a very happy and uplifting scent perfect if you need a reminder not to take life too seriously.

i borrowed it from a friend a few years ago and fell in love with it, finally got around to getting a bottle myself - never looked back.

i did get it on sale at a half price though, probably wouldn't have paid full price.
here in Australia, it retails at $160 for a 100ml bottle - brought it for $76 on a special Marc Jacobs sale.

Mariel-fragrances

Happy, carefree, pretty, casual, delightful.

Red berries & honeysuckle.. I do not get the vanilla or the jasmine.. maybe some hint of the coconut.
For some reason I get a slight “male fragrance vibe”, but just slightly.. it´s definitely a girly girl fragrance.

Appropiate for pretty much any situation, except for formal occasions. Wearable in summer, spring, autumm, winter… outdoors, indoors, for teens, young adults, even mature woman who are looking for a morning carefree easy to wear scent. Super versatile!
You will not inspire sex appeal, power or romance.
This will portrait you as a fun pretty girl with a free spirit.

Projection: Good on the first hour or so.. then it just sits closer to the skin. I`ve had this scent for over a year and only once I received a compliment at work.

Longevity: Around 7 hours.. not so good for an Eau de Parfum, but then.. it´s fruity, almost no woods in the base, so you can´t expect much more.

Bottle: one the most gorgeous bottles in my collection… a keeper for display.

In summary, I do enjoy this fragrance, but for the price you pay you can get better.
I don´t think I will repurchase, I´d rather move on and try something else.

EnergeticCrab

I don't know guys, this one is kind of boring. I received a sample and really want to like it, but Dot is too safe and unoriginal. It's fun, I guess, but not a lot new here...
Berry sweet with pencil shaving woods, and florals that are just sorta there. Very Bath and Bodyworks or Victoria's Secret. Not my thing, but also not terrible.

AnitaHendricks

Fruity, floral and woody with a hint of musk. I like it! The fruits are not too sweet. The wood has a dry scent to it and the musk is subtile enough. The notes are well balanced! I can smell light traces of coconut and vanilla after a while. These traces become more noticeable after a few hours. It’s not a heavy or deep perfume. It’s a nice scent for casual use.

blake.lee

To me, this smells like watermelons and cucumbers sprinkled with black pepper and pencil shavings. It's sweet, but a weird sweet, bordering on masculine. Much different than I was expecting. From the reviews I was expecting a sugary, fruity, boring melon scent but it's more interesting than that. I think the silage is pleasant when someone walks by wearing it. Smells better on other people than if you smell yourself.

Julia-Gayle

Despite the fact that Dot is obviously mass-marketed to a young, mid-market demographic I really, really love this! And this is coming from a 50+ financial professional that generally prefers companies that target a more discerning crowd (Creed, Prada, Balenciaga, Armani, Chanel) but I am always up for a new scentsational adventure and DOT is it!
Right after the the initial spritz, I detected the dragon fruit, coconut, litchi and vanilla. Not too sweet or cloying, it reminded me of a juicy cocktail at a summer resort. But after awhile, the driftwood and the musk mingle with the honeysuckle and orange flower-I have progressed from the beach bar to the shore and I can breathe in the waves, the seaside flora and the earthy scent of sandy driftwood.
I know that this won't be for everybody due to individual chemistry and Marc Jacobs should stop the assembly line for a short minute ( I won't ever forgive him for Decadence-EVER! Bleccch!). However, please get past the frivolous looking bottle (doesn't pack well, sadly) and give this a shot-or a spritz. You might be pleasantly surprised, too.
In short, this is my new summer scent! It lasts a long time, carries well without being overbearing AND I have received a compliment every day that I have worn this. I just wish it was named something else than Dot, it really has a lot more substance and depth than the name and bottle convey.

Bee-young-ka

Cross the Inside of a pencil case.
, the beach
and a slice of dragon fruit.
....and here is Dot perfume.

Odd? yep. Master stroke? definitely!

Great for days your tired of sweetie or flower smells

yet has the staying power of a stronger perfume.

deadxxxmoon

Dot is sensual, intoxicating and reasonably sweet. I would totally recommend this to a friend and I'm not sure why it is so low on the loves.

The packaging is amazing like Marc Jacob's Honey.

karishma_sk

This was my first Marc Jacobs fragrance... I love anything Marc Jacobs. So going back to the perfume, I personally wear this at night, has a very strong lasting effect and hints of vanilla makes it very warm. Just two sprays is enough. This is a very sophisticated scent.

Beth0938

This scent is definitely fruity but I can smell a hint of vanilla and musk as well. I love the fruity notes but not to fond of the sweetness/powdery smell it it leaves.

lmwimsatt

this literally smells like a ladybug! love it

cmagjo04

People tend to slate this fragrance compared to Marc Jacob's others and I don't know why! It is by far my FAVOURITE of his collection -different from the rest. Extremely fresh, lovely for every day wear. I get notes of dragon fruit and sandal wood on my skin, settling down to a clean, fresh perfumey scent. Plus the bottle is gorgeous and sits lovely on my dressing table!

Fonna2

Nothing special.
It smells like the scent of over chewed bubble gum, on paper. Very light and delicate.
Good for a child's perfume.

Thirteen

Wow, now this is a memorable scent. I got Dot as an early birthday gift (about two weeks since I first got it) and I have been wearing it all day ever since then. Like it says, it's a very fruity and energetic scent- sort of reminds me of cheerleaders from back when I was in high school or of the picnics I used to have with my friends. After some time, you can smell a hint of the coconut, but at first you get a whiff of sweet berries with floral splashes. I tend to wear this to my classes at the university and am often complimented on it. It doesn't last more than four hours on me, but I will go ahead to purchase the rollerball to take with me to school. It may be a pricey and decent lasting perfume, but I believe that this is worth the price. My mom purchased the 1.7oz for $50 at Costco, so if you look at the right places, I bet that you can find a price that is reasonable enough for you. The bottle itself is also kind of cute. I have it on display on my nightstand. If you want a young, wild, fruity/floral perfume, this will def work for you and catch the noses of others.

thehazysea

Finally caved and decided to try one of the "Cool Girl" Marc Jacobs' fragrances. Maybe it's because I'm easily impressed that I expected to like this more, but I find myself agreeing with so many of the reviews here. Dot is watery and bland and vaguely sweet/fruity. Nothing is distinguishable beyond some muddled red berries. I have no idea how it managed to be so popular when it feels like it's barely even a fragrance.

I understand that at 25 I'm older than the targeted demographic but I don't think I would buy this for a young girl, either. It has zero personality and nothing interesting to say.

pearlbelle

The bottle is gorgeous, I love the colour red and so this goes perfectly with me and it is the most stunning bottle on my vanity and it is up against some stiff competition!
Onto the scent, the red berries and the pitahaya mix together to create this enchanting summery smell that I can't get enough of!

jan24

Dot is an inoffensive and very typical fragrance. It doesn't smell bad, and I did wear it for a couple of months.

It's a decent Winter and Spring scent that just adds a little bit to your outfit without making any statement whatsoever.

Cherry_Darling

Overall not a bad scent, fruity, sweet, I think it's suitable for the younger generation though (13-17) as it's cheap and a bit bubble-gum smelling (and if I'm rude slightly toilet-spray-esque.) Selling this on.

I have 100+ niche samples for swap within Europe - updated spreadsheet of samples on my profile, get in touch!

PinkRainbow

I like this alot!!! Unusual and pretty, and GREAT bottle!

scarlett.angel

Super cute bottle. Unfortunately smells like bug spray with my skin chemistry :( Glad I only bought the mini. Up for swap if anyone wants it.

UPDATE: Funny how smell changes! 2 years later I found this still full mini, tested it on my skin, and no longer detect the bug spray note. Instead smells fruity and a little spicy. I wouldn't mind a big bottle of this!

Anaïs_Anaïs

I wish I had this one!!

AngelEuphoria

I also enjoy Marc J. Daisy. I am careful to apply less of Daisy because some swear they detect a hint of banana in the notes. So, I have switched to the very similar Chance Eau Tendre by Chanel, (which I love). I still wear Daisy on casual days. NOW ON TO Dot: Dot has a familiar department store fragrance base that comes through in the dry down. Many expensive design house fragrances have this base (Michael Kors, Early Calvin K. fragrances, etc,) You will smell clean and fresh with Dot because it is a safe, high end fragrance. However, even the safest fragrances become cloying when too much is applied. This fragrance, though clean, will smell like soap or fruity bubble bath if you wear too much.

lirael00

Though in general I like Marc Jacob's perfumes I have a really big problem with how expensive his fragrances are as their longevity isn't that great. I got a small tester from a friend and I have absolutely enjoyed the Dot but to think I would have to spend so much money for something that doesn't have a great projection and doesn't last long?! I don't know maybe if you really really like it, why not but I am not gonna do that. Anyway Dot is very safe perfume to wear, tropical fruity, and on me is more warm than fresh so I would say is more appropriate for the winter time than summer, but I guess it all comes down to your skin chemistry.

Madrona

I thought this was going to be a love but it is "only" a like. I have always found dragonfruit to lack a bit in taste, so I cannot really detect that note in this perfume. It is not overly sweet, the coconut is not in your face, the white flowers somehow take center stage to my nose and the rest of the notes are the supporting cast. It's nice and pleasing, but I was hoping for more.

SueV333

It's a cross between Coach Poppy and Very Sexy by Victoria's Secret. If you like those two, you'll like this one. Great for fall/winter. The bottle is really cute, but the lid is BIG...so make sure you have plenty of room on your dresser for it!

Fragrance Review For Dot Marc Jacobs

Top Notes Honeysuckle Pitaya Red Berries

Middle Notes Jasmine Orange Blossom Coconut

Base Notes Drift Wood Vanilla Musk

I do like the unusual bottle. It looks like a hybrid insect like a cross between a lady bug and a butterfly. My 4 year old niece loves the bottle and is waiting for me to finish up the fragrance because she wants the bottle. She's only 5 and enjoys collecting perfume bottles. This a berry scent, nothing impressive or complex but I've gone into a 360 direction and have gone from wearing amazing complex fragrances like Yves Saint Laurent Opium to sweeter fruity florals. This is a fruity floral vanilla plain and simple. But it does have some rather unique scents: pitaya. It's a berry scent I'm mostly getting it at the opening. There is a little touch of honeysuckle. The floral aspects of the fragrance is mostly jasmine. The coconut mixed with honeysuckle give it a sweet sticky and watery sweetness that I like. Finally the sweetness dries down and becomes musk and vanilla. It has a moderate longevity and on me it was on for 5 or 6 hours. I like my fragrances to last much longer than that in fact all day but this is a party perfume. I think it's very appropriate to wear not as an every day scent but as a fragrance to get people to wonder what is that honeysuckle I'm smelling type of scent on you. Very sweet, floral and vanillic. It has a festive air and innocence to it. Check it out ladies.

IvyNeptune

While im completely in love with the bottle, the sent is just not for me.

ammouna20

the scent was too sharp i couldn't bare it

This is a nice perfume. I think it is a perfume that you can where just as an everyday, not doing anything really special that day kind of perfume. I don't know about anyone else but it reminds me of Coach Poppy. It is girly and sweet. I also think the bottle is really cute. It doesn't last super long on me but I still like it.

Music_luver77

I am generally a fan of Marc Jacobs fragrances, and this is no exception. It is a very sweet scent on me. I do get much of the fruit notes, and it reminds me of fruit punch. A secondary note is definitely floral, as I get those too. I don't get any vanilla at all. I wish I could see the bottle, but I bought a decant. I would pick up a bottle of this if discounted, but likely wouldn't pay full price.

anastasiajohanssen

On me this perfume smells like dirt... very damp dirt :(

blessedGoddessVany

This perfume is in my top for sure , i get the most compliments when wearing it. in my opinion i believe that if people do a little research as to how to make a scent last longer or how to layer perfume then they wont have to be cryin over the fragrant disappearing, because wit or without layering it lasts so long, and when i say layer i dont mean spray the whole bottle on yourself, nor do i mean to buy the shower gel and lotion, (even though you should because its awesome) a few sprays at the right areas goes a long way for hours. or face it your body chemistry might just not work it as said by reviewer below me.

ParfumAmour

Delicious, this is the perfect mix of floral and gourmand. I get the lychee strongly, but also violets, and it is edible and sweet, but not in a candy way like pink sugar.
This is young and girly, the bottle is a big clue to that, fun and fruity, but sensible enough to not overdo it.
This is great for spring and summer, longevity isn't super, ideally it would be more inexpensive.

VioletNoir

I ordered Dot by Marc jacobs from Scent bird as a 15 $ sample. Im glad i didnt spend my hard earned money on this. Dont get me wrong, it smells wonderful, it just smells a little too much like coach Poppy, which happens to smell like Pink Sugar sensual, while that smells like Fantasy. What is up with all these perfume companies using the same scent over and over again. yes its a wonderful scent but there has to be more out there. I was hoping for something original. I might buy this again just because i like that Poppy/pink sugar sensual/fantasy smell. but i dont really need to buy this. since i already have the others. Oh well, maybe Honey by Marc jacobs will be different.

mwahahaha

buy it for me!!!:)

mwahahaha

i looooooooove this perfume!!!!!!!!!! i wanted it so bad for christmas..but i didnt get it..:(.. so now i make trips to sephora and get samples..hehe..it smells amaZING!!it smells unique and fresh and has like a tiny hint of mystery.. sigggh.. i feel like i can do anything if i have on my dot.. and uh yeah..the bottle is ADORABLE all u haters..:P..lol

cupcakeprincessponies

I received this perfume as a christmas present and it didn't take me long to realize it was that kind of fragrance I have been looking for so long! Yet it got so many bad reviews...

Personally I think the bottle is cute, funny and it spreads joy standing on my night table.

When I sniff it I get fresh, berry, fruity and sweet notes all at the same time without smelling synthetic, overly sweet or like a fragrance for a 10 year old. It is just gorgeous!

I get it.. it is not the "I-never-smelled-something-like-this-before type of perfume". But it makes me feel young, classy and irresistible at the same time.. and my boyfriend love it as well ;-)

StopHammertime

I have a mini of this. The bottle is super cute - clear with a small plastic lady bug on the lid. I prefer this style bottle to the larger ones, they seem so clunky to me and aren't the most user friendly.
The scent is nondescript. Smells like sharp, cold melons and clean laundry. Low to average lasting power [2-4 hours], weak throw. I consider this to be a good 'first perfume' for a young girl, or a nice perfume to wear in an office where you either aren't supposed to wear perfume/ are afraid to offend anyone. I personally like to dab on a small amount before bed, it is nice and fresh.
A good scent for when you just want to 'smell nice'.

bexlee

This was the first "expensive" perfume that I ever had, and I still love it. It introduced me to Marc Jacobs scents, which make up a large majority of my favorite perfumes (daisy and it's variations are lovely). I got a smaller, less frou frou bottle, I believe it's the 1.7 oz. The scent is wonderful if you like florals, but it doesn't last at all. Within an hour of spraying it, not only can no one else smell it, even I can't smell it. That's the only real flaw, though.

nvenus

I think I need to give it another try since I like the listed notes but didn't find it special at all while I tried it.

purpleturtle

Not a distinguishable scent to me. Longevity only 2 hours. Sillage close to skin. Not impressed, Mr. Jacobs... Happy smelling! :)

Creamdeviolet

DO NOT BUY THIS! I CAN SPRAY 30-50 SPRAYS AND 3 MINS LATER NO ONE CAN SMELL IT ON ME

elaheahsan

smells good and teenage BUT so cheap.it's not the unique fragrance to pay for I meann you can find it's smell in deodrants.

Almondholic

The bottle is hideous... It doesn't fit the aesthetic of the other bottles on my vanity. However, I find the scent strangely appealing: light & refreshingly fruity with an energetic watermelon note. I enjoy wearing it mostly on the weekends at casual events. I've gotten many compliments on this scent. Good sillage for a light fruity, floral scent.

A full size was bottle was gifted to me, and thankfully, it's almost empty. I refuse to spend good money on a bottle that makes me cringe every time I see it. However, since I've enjoyed the scent, I may settle for the rollerball version, which looks actually kind of cute with all those little red dots.

Wanesa

Am I impressed? hmmmm its not to overpowering. . not generic either. The coconut is mild . it really is fruity and fresh. perfect for everyday use. reminds me of spring or on a hot summer day. would I repurchase ? yes. Im very loyal to the marc jacobs brand so yeah

c0c0madmoiselle

I finished this perfume the quickest out of all of my collection, I got addicted to it! I get a blast of juicy fruits and coconut water on initial application and then it dries down to a slightly more floral fragrance. I do have to be careful not to spray too much as it can be a bit strong and headache inducing.

TLight

A cheerful, dainty scent that is sweet, floral-fruity, aquatic and very youthful. My only complaint due to the propylene glycol, which I actually taste on my tongue with every inhalation. The sweetness can also be attributed to the floral bouquet of honeysuckle and water lilies. The dry-down smells of musky white-florals, exotic fruit, cool coconut and a hint of jasmine. A quirky, free-spirited scent for any perfume lover.

MonikaSlovakia

Floral, fruity, juicy scent for everyone /maybe :)/ Nothing special, longevity is weak :(

*Ovocná, kvetinová a trochu šťavnatá vôňa, ktorá nikoho neurazí. (možno :)
Nič extra, výdrž vône je slabá.

almarie

Will be listing this one on eBay early September as well, even though I loved it, it gave me a headache:(

MelyB

Blind bought because I love the lady bug bottle motif and I got a 1.7 oz bottle for a great price. The initial spray on my body is HIDEOUS - very chemical, artificial scent however after an hour I get a nice fruity scent that further dries to a light clean coconut with a hint of fruit. I don't hate it but don't love it either. I'll enjoy using it during the rest of the summer.

(My co-worker later told me that it gave her a headache so I won't wear it to work anymore).

moreorlessa

Smells like a punch of melon to the nose, covered in sticky honey over a non-descript musky floral base. Very generic and a bit off putting. Do not blind buy! I feel like they are pushing these more exotic-sounding notes to distract their consumers from what a bland and commonplace fragrance it really is. My advice is to try L'Eau d'Issey Absolue or Kenzo Mirror, which have a similar vibe but are much more smoothly blended, before spending money on this one.

allie kat

Another of MJ's perfumes which I blind bought because I loved the bottle. So cute, I couldn't resist. Sadly it wasn't as successful as honey or daisy on me. Either I can't smell fruity or they just get totally absorbed within minutes. It's not the first time this has happened with fruits so I think it's me. But that's OK as my daughter liked it and I'll get the bottle back when empty. Marc Jacobs is the master of pretty bottles and I'll keep buying his creations for that reason alone.

Sierrasaurusrex

I got a rollerball for $8 at TJ Maxx. Ive been wanting this for a while now, but now that I have it I'm so glad I didn't pay full price. It smells similar to alot of other fragrances that are available at lower prices. It is nice, reminds me of honeysuckles but not overly sweet. Anyone can wear this, it's very light and slightly sweet without feeling like I just stuffed my face in a bag of jolly ranchers. I cant really pick out any of the notes they blend nicely together.

Kohla1

I dont find this too fruity or too sweet and think its suitable for all ages. Dont know why fragrances need an age limit. I find this kinda fruity but mostly fresh.

tisy

too fruity, too sweet and annoying. If you're 10, the scent MIGHT be suitable for you.

Purplegem

I tried this from a sample. It reminded me of talcum powder. So-light and powdery. It was ok but nothing special in my opinion. I would say white floral over the red berries for me although I cant place what the scent is exactly plus it is blended so this is probablu the idea. I know everyone experiences scents differently. I was quite surprised that a friend liked it as she is generally more in to stronger scents.

MademoiselleMaya

Your typical candy fruity floral, not original by any means, lots of drugstore scents are similar, but it performs well in hot weather with decent sillage and longevity which is more you can say about a lot of other summery scents.

tommy_girl

unlike what I expected, the long lasting power is good( at least much better than honey or some other Marc Jacobs perfume). the perfume itself is funny and cute. At the first sniff I thought I smelt litchi and fresh fruits.no litchi? ok, maybe dragon fruit smells like litchi as well. actually, it reminds of Burberry Brit Sheer, only better than that as it lack the sour smell of brit sheer and instead is sweet and fruity.
as a fruity/white floral fan, I think it lacks some depth.(maybe patchouli?), however it smells nice, not an extraordinary one, but cool and funny, just like the bottle.

Mirandah-Sophia

Got this as a gift. Didn't know what to expect, I detect berries. It's soft feminine and not too harsh. Can definitely smell the musk. Over all it's not too bad. Kinda has a spicy smell to it.

The bottle itself is cute. But the cap takes up so much space on my vanity. Lol
Besides that, pretty girly.

Bottle design : 7/10
Sent:7/10
Lasting power:8/10 about 4hrs

fendikatz

Very youthful in my opinion! Very fresh and floral, slightly peppery yet sweet. On me at least the scent it more white floral than fruity. You can still detect the fruitiness of the scent but it's not the main thing.

Lasting power is not that great and I can barely smell the base notes but the top and middle notes do it for me. It's just so beautiful from the bottle to the liquid. Sillage is O.K./not that great, either as it's very soft. I still love it a lot for some reason.

It's got the balance of sweet, fruity and (white) floral just right. Glad I got this instead of Honey.

LillyBelle

I found this a clean refreshing summer scent. I get slightly more lovely light white floral than the berries. The fruit is there. But one doesn't over power the other notes. The notes all blend well together. And really all together at one time. But no way I see it as a typical fruity floral. It has a keen combination that flows and mixes into a quite enjoyable fragrance. I also get a slight tropical vibe with the coconut. It does develops a very very minimal musk feel. Quite a lovely fresh clean not over powering spring/summer perfume. I did not find this as a really overly sweet perfume as other mentioned. Great for many casual occasions. Moderate in silage and longevity.

krakren

Not for me.
I got a gift tester 0,04oz bottle so I had a chance to spray it on myself a few times and I hate it with all my heart.
At first it strikes you with this disgusting fruity smell (suposed to be red berries?) with a background of vanilla, after a moment it changes to mothballs-like jasmine and ends with a strange fruity-woody notes, leaving me with just a headache.

Kiku

A blind buy, I wanted the bottle. Marc Jacobs has the cutest bottles and this one does not disappoint. The perfume, however, does. The opening gets off to a bad start on me: kind of a scorched grass and chemical smell. After a while a cotton candy sweetness kicks in. The heart and drydown are soft and gentle, sweet and creamy. A coconut and hot sugar smell. I don't smell anything fruity/floral in this. Poor sillage but fairly good longevity. Pretty generic, many perfumes have this type of smell. Most have the words, "cotton candy" in the name and most cost a lot less than "Dot". Unless you collect cute bottles, buy one of those.

Emzarie

Very fruity and quite sweet, but with a delicate floral kick to it. A little strong going on, but its dry-down is lovely.

PinkMelon

Dot is a perfect summer fragrance. It smells like juice. The fruit notes that stand out the most is the red berries & dragon fruit. It's very fruity. The next most prominent notes to me are the coconut and honeysuckle. Dot is just a very summery scent. Very fruity, fresh, juicy, and sweet.

LaviniaMidnight

I tested a sample today, I was a little on the fence at first but after wearing for about an hour I am loving this little treat of fragrance. I seem to smell peppery watermelon...sillage seems good as I put it on the top of my hand and can catch whiffs of it as I am moving around the house doing chores. Along with Honey, I think these two will be good summer scents. I worry that my youngest will want to play with the bottles, they look like cute toys, lol.

Lybarra118

I adore Marc Jacobs Dot. It's so perfect for hot weather. It has great longevity, 6-7 hours on my skin, 12 on clothes, and projection is moderate-to-soft. It's sweet and fruity with an underlying tropical vibe that is amazing, but not cloying.

It has the juiciness from the fruit that sort of mimics watermelon, and there's a lovely soft floral undertone. A bit of a tropical fruit cocktail. It's a very fun, energetic, uplifting scent, but it's far from childish.

Sashira

This doesn't seem to be a well liked perfume, which seems odd to me because I've absolutely adored it since the second I first tested it. It's mouth-wateringly fruity, upbeat, and entirely unabashed in its youthfulness. Reminds me of fruit punch with a twist at first whiff (I think it's the pitaya that sets it apart), but I don't find it overwhelming (it's still well tempered by the acidity of the berries, the coconut milk fragrance and the constant undertone of white, floral musk). I love that it's refreshingly sweet without being cloying, overly musky or straying into gourmand territory :) It's the perfect summer fragrance for a young woman looking for something bright and cheerful to pair with a sundress and a smile, and though it might not be the most unique composition I've never gone in for a hug wearing this without getting a compliment on it or being asked what I'm wearing. It doesn't project much, but it will get noticed, and on my skin it lingers for hours. My only complaint is that the flacon design feels just a tad tacky and awkwardly shaped, and Honey, Daisy and Dot are taking up too much room on my dresser.
EDIT: Turns out with my body chemistry, this actually does project really well (even though I myself couldn't tell) so test it beforehand? My boyfriend (who bought me this) was able to tell it was me walking into the room without turning around, based on scent alone.

victoria.mei1992

It's like generic strwaberries, with like sugaryy vanilla accent, but that smell is a little bit vheap, too sweet. Better use for 12 old girls. Versace bright crystal would be best decision instead of this one.

amacasfer

This is so freaking sweet, I honestly love this but if smelling sweetness, if you are not used to this kind of scents your stomach will even hurt, but it's awesome.

kmdrcla

It's a cute, fun, typical girly fragrance. Nothing too special, but nothing to abhor either. Coconut water rather than actual coconut is very present in this on me, which paired with the pithaya gives a very mouthwatering effect. I know this will sound ridiculous, but when I inhale it, it almost feels like I'm drinking it. I don't know how to describe it, it just rolls down the nasal passages that way. I tried this perfume because I was looking for a rich red berry scent, but it didn't have enough for me; they're present for the first few seconds, and then give way to watery florals shortly thereafter. I always seem to get compliments on it, though. All I can say is it's a clean, fruity take on white floral. Very likable, but not a total knock-out for me.

Edit: I received a bottle of this for a Valentine's day gift and, to my pleasant surprise, I picked up a bit more red berries from a fresh bottle rather than the large, uncapped bottle I had been smelling at my work. I think that may be the key with ensuring the integrity of this fragrance. Keep that cap closed tight!!

Fawkey

I love the fruity top notes, serves me right for not waiting before purchase. It settles to a very sweet floral, not my thing & far too sweet. Disappointed. Not great on my skin & did not last.

Fragrance_Lily

This is probably the best fragrance I own. I always thought that it was light to the point where only I can smell it on myself, but I was very wrong.

I went to the movies with my boyfriend last Friday and I noticed he kept sniffing my neck and scarf. The crazy part was when we went to the food court to grab dinner, and the cashier exclaimed that whatever perfume I was wearing was so pretty. This coming from a girl surrounded by Hawaiian barbecue and fried noodles! Maybe I sprayed too much?

This is the perfume to wear if you want to get noticed.

Megamind

January 2015: I like this fragrance very much. I'm surprised to see coconut in the notes. I would expect sticky sweetness from coconut but absolutely not in this fragrance. Maybe red berries with their acidic notes and soft musk tend to dry down the coconut strength. In this perfume coconut just gives a special tropical not too much pronounced note. So well blended with honeysuckle, jasmine, orange blossom and dragon fruit. A dragon fruit is a tropical fruit but very watery one. It smells almost nothing in the real life. So I wouldn't say it is so pronounced in this fragrance. Mentioned white flowers are more pronounced.
I often get complements when I wear it.
It's a good interesting flagrance suitable for everyday wear in the office with a very long lasting power 9-10 h and enourmous silage. I will repurchase it again.
April 2016: My hubby repurchased it again for me and even 2 bottles (100 ml and 30 ml). He finds the bottle so cute!

StarMagix

I am loving this scent right now! I was able to score the largest bottle for less than half the price from Ross. It is such a bargain and a wonderful, long lasting perfume on myself. Though pepper is not listed as one of the ingredients, I smell a bit of pepper on my skin. I would not say this is a loud perfume but it does speak out with a ladylike quality of feminine spirit. I think this smells great in the cold weather but I will try it in the Spring and Summer as well just to see if it really is a Fall/Winter perfume. The bottle is so adorable and I love the red color and the red dotted butterfly lid. It is for sure one of the most unique bottles in my wardrobe of perfumes. I think it is fair to say, I love everything about this perfume.

Voidoid

Light, fresh, floral and slightly musky. Weirdly this reminds me of Britney's Fantasy, which I love, it has a similar structure with the fruity/tropical muskiness. But where Fantasy is sweet and foody this is fresh and highly floral. Excellent perfume and bottle is like a work of art!
Update: having worn this a few times I've decided it doesn't really work with my skin chemistry, it's too floral for me too and after awhile I find it a bit much.

zoe858

Within 10 minutes, I could not smell anything. Very disappointing :-(

stranger12314

love it so much its nice and fruity but not overpowering. a great balance of sweetness, fruitiness and modest/sophisticated and the packaging is awsome

Nyssa Ainley

Again had this tested on my wrists and lasted for quite awhile on me, unlike many others I actually love the quirky bottle and the lid might be overlarge and a bit over the top (ha ha) but I think it's artsy, and if I am going to spend fifty quid on a fragrance then I want the bottle to look something different, elegant, or quirky.

Also I love red, and ladybirds are one of my favourite insects due to their colours and how they fly.

I was warned that this was musky, which sends signals to my brain of immediate WANT.

So, yes, I would consider buying this in 50ML so I can appreciate the quirky, bright and childlike bottle.

EDIT: I am now in possession of this perfume and I do not regret it. I have also worked out how to take the extravagent cap off without it almost hurting your eyes. Twist and pull. I also always spray some of the fragrance into the lid - most of the time that gives me an idea of sillage and longevity.

Allary

Inoffensive light watermelon scent. It's nice but somehow reminiscent of a pleasant smelling hairspray. I don't hate it but feel there is a cheaper body spray or hair spray that can easily mimic this scent

MissRen02

I love marc jacobs daisy, as well as daisy dream, and honey, honestly, what is there not to love? If what you are looking for is a golden, sparkling, juicy floral. All, Dot included, are refeshing, solidly floral-fruity. Not the other way around. Dot is decidedly more tropical, with a papaya note to start(I guess that is the dragonfruit, its melon-like) All in the MJ family have white flowers in the application and the heart, and a warming base that anchors the light-hearted head notes of the fragrance. All are very similar. With slight curves. All say bright natured, cheery, feminine and understated. This is an excellent edition to anyone's perfume wardrobe. For the days where the mood is sunny, no matter the weather.

Veronicajg123

Smells great probably one of my favorite by MJ but the bottle is stupid and for that alone I would not buy it; but another reason is the propylene glycol in MJ products. Very disappointing.

Togiii

It disappeared really quickly. After 2 hours I can barely smell anything.

Sweelty

On my skin Dot smells like DKNY Red Delicious

daniquevanaalst

Dot is a very girly and young perfume. On me it is very fruity, though I can't really tell apart the different fruit notes. I think this is just a very easy to wear summer perfume, with average longevity and a soft sillage. I do think it's a bit overpriced for what you're getting, but if you want a simple and fruity fragrance, Dot might be the one for you. Even though the bottle isn't really my style, I do think the MJ bottles are very collectable.

perhapser

Nothing unique, though it is pleasant. Very fruity

halfof2

I sniffed a bottle of this in Ulta and fell in love, but decided to sample just in case the bottle was misleading...and it was. I got a sample of this in the mail and it is awful. Synthetic. I can't detect any of the notes in here that are listed.

It smells like the things I used to gravitate towards in high school, like Electric Youth. I think I am going to wash my wrist...
