Wonderlust by Michael Kors is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Wonderlust was launched in 2016. Wonderlust was created by Aurelien Guichard and Honorine Blanc. Top notes are Almond Milk, Bergamot and Pink Pepper; middle notes are Heliotrope, Jasmine Sambac and Carnation; base notes are Sandalwood, Cashmere Wood and Benzoin.

The concept of “escape” is central to the WONDERLUST story, Michael Kors told WWD. This story, he elaborated, includes a corresponding ad and video campaign depicting the face of the scent: a gold, sequined-dress-clad Lily Aldridge, in an unknown far-flung locale. She is escaping from a yacht into a small speedboat with her paramour, Dutch model Wouter Peelen, into a rose-fueled sunset. As a game on words, Wanderlust (which denotes a great wish of travelling) is the desire for escape in Kors’ collection. The campaign was developed by Mario Testino.

The composition of the new fragrance was created in partnership with Firmenich by perfumers Honorine Blanc and Aurelien Guichard, as gourmand (a synthetic note with “edible,” sweet qualities). The focus lies on the dianthus flower to give Wonderlust the feel of an almond milk that’s been blended with a “spicy, creamy floral.” Top notes of almond milk are accompanied by heliotrope placed at the hart of the fragrance. The base of the composition provides benzoin, a natural resin from Thailand leaving the impression of warmth, and the spicy sweetness of cinnamon.

“I wanted something that’s feminine, not in an insipid way, but in a streamlined, modern way. It’s the same way with the gourmand. The almond milk has something delicious, but not edible or sticky,” the designer continued. “Our girl is looking for a way to experience and have fun but stay within her world.” – as explained by Michael Kors.

MICHAEL KORS WONDERLUST will be available at the price from $62 to $108, accompanied by rollerball flacons priced at $28 and perfumed shower gel priced at $48 starting from the beginning of August 2016.

Overpowering and becomes powdery upon dry down. Dont like the projection!

mirrorghost

this opens with a lot of pink pepper and some citrus along with a synthetic wood. then the heliotrope, benzoin and almond come through, softening things a bit. then i get a lot of jasmine...a very synthetic one of course. i might like this if the jasmine was more realistic and the cashmere wood was nonexistent. otherwise it's a highly synthetic almond/floral. reminds me of the smell of the cosmetics/perfume area walking through a department store. i struggle to even parse notes when they are this synthetic.

anamawsity

On me, this is purely floral. I get NO woody or nutty notes whatsoever. Kinda smells like a basic hand soap. Ended up washing it off my skin because it gave me a headache.

denizzlovess

i tried wonderlust at the duty free, sprayed my wrist and liked the scent so i bought a full bottle. wore it today and what a disappointment. zero projection, sillage and longevity despite overspraying my skin and clothes, couldn't smell a thing. hopefully the fragrance will get better as it sits some but i have not much hope.

taviestj

Smells very good at first, then settles down to a "old women" type of fragrance. Not a safe blind buy. Nice with three sprays for office or running errands.

LSAUG

This reminds me of a few of the above fragrances. Very almond heavy with a sweet coconut infused amber. Not bad but the more I smell it I'm getting a headache. Screechy, cheap sickly. The longer it sits on paper or skin the worse it gets.

Mattesha Erotica

Bottles from the MK Wonderlust line pop up on mercari for under $30 weekly, and I finally had the opportunity to snag a full well preserved 3.4 oz example for only $20. Was also able to acquire a Wonderlust eau fresh the same size for the same price a week earlier, check mercari people!!!

This is probably the best Michael Kors fragrance ive tried, it reminds me of Burberry Brit meets Dior Addict. My mother lives and breathes for his scents and ive always found them to have this same overly sweet synthetic note, with the exception of MK sexy/stylish amber and surprisingly this. Wonderlust is a happy, enjoyable, inoffensive wear that I think is universally pleasing if not generic.

Totally worth the purchase if you can acquire at discount like I did. 😎👍🏼

MRaspberry

On me this was only bitter, stale and bad musky.
Did not work on my skin, just of putting and had to scrub it of. Such a shame since it sounded nice.

chimidoro

I originally tried this at the time of its release, based on comments linking it to AMARIGE.
I wasn't struck silly, but I did make note to try again in future.

(A note -
Reformulation has taken away the
Heavy amber and woods in this. Honestly, I actually prefer the reform - but what I own is an original formula. 😂
Definitely see the Dior Addict link people are noting! Not in the current formula, just the original one....!)

So great to find a warm weather appropriate white floral that isn't lacking complexity. While I adore (and find this comparable to) Monoi from Yves Rocher, that is quite one-dimensional and better suited specifically to a holiday setting. I have often worn ALIEN in the height of heat (speaking British weather here, though I do relate heady Jasmine to summertime due to time spent in Tunisia as a child) it's pretty polarising.... and I do not wish to make anybody feel nauseous (also looking at you, Poeme), but this manages to remain perfectly heat appropriate with its fresh green almond nuance, smoothing the ruffle edged warm tropical/exotic florals.
It's well balanced, demure and restrained. DIVINE. 🌺

The only other scent I've actually owned from Michael Kors is their "GLAM JASMINE" (worst name ever?) which I bought twice and re-sold both times. That is a bubblegum sweet and light jasmine, but it smells almost identical to BEAUTY by CK or Tendre Jasmin by Yves Rocher, both of which I also owned and sold on, so go figure....

I tried their "SEXY AMBER" (second worst name?) also, but that smelled suspiciously similar to Voile D'Ambre, also by Yves Rocher.
Sensing a pattern...? ✨✨✨

I never tried the original, highly coveted, cult classic, "MICHAEL" in its original format. Though I don't doubt that there's an Yves Rocher out there that smells suspiciously similar. 😂🥴
I've tried the reform, which reminded me of the original Marc Jacobs fragrance.

Anyway, while I wouldn't claim to be a fan of the brand's offerings on the whole, WONDERLUST is the one for me. I'm so glad I returned to it and finally took the plunge.

Curiousity is now piqued re: the flankers. 😍

nostalgiaultra

Wonderlust starts off with a blast of pink pepper and a bright but soft bergamot that only lasts for a couple seconds before it morphs into a heady, intoxicating, fresh, and sensual jasmine and a soft, airy, and powdery heliotrope bouquet. The almond milk lasts throughout the life of the fragrance and is nutty, lactonic, and almost watery. To my nose, the almond milk leans photorealistic, although still a perfumer’s interpretation, for me rather than gourmand. The carnation, sandalwood, and benzoin play nicely together to provide a cozy, warm, resinous (vanilla-esque and balsamic) and spicy foundation to the floral and almond elements of the fragrance.

This fragrance is romantic, feminine, airy and vintage. It evokes the feeling of being embraced by a lover wearing a soft cashmere sweater and smelling this fragrance on their skin and clothes. As someone who typically doesn’t reach for white florals, this fragrance is a love for me. It is an unpretentious, versatile, and compliment getter fragrance, and is perfect for an everyday wear in every season or casual event. I think it’s also good for a laid back date night, and would be amazing layered with Kilian’s Rolling in Love.

The fragrance also starts with moderate projection, but after a couple of hours it becomes intimate. It lasts for eight to twelve hours on clothes, and six on skin.

hpeeters

Loooooove this. This is creamy and elegant. I definitely smell the almond, jasmine and sandalwood which are some of my favs. So glad I added this to my collection. It is divine!

FeleciaB

I have a travel size of this, eau fresh and sublime and this is my favorite of the three. I can see the comparisons to a lighter version of Dior addict but I find this much more wearable and less likely to make me feel neasous (I own and enjoy addict but just don't reach for it much because it can be too heavy to me and I rarely think that) but I don't smell mon Guerlain when I smell this. The first time I smelled it I was like "eh" but it's been a year and I just sprayed it on my clean blankets cause I knew it was a "safe" smell and man oh man I'm starting to fall in love with it. After sitting around this last year the almond has become more apparent to my nose. It's creamy, and mildly woody spicy but it's a nice balance. To my nose it's mainly sandalwood, almond milk, and what I'm guessing is heliotrope (I'm not great and telling floral notes apart unless it's rose, gardenia or lilac) I'm a gourmand lover but wouldn't call this a gourmand at all but rather just a nice balance of creamy floral and woody. Very safe in my opinion.

Serendipity4gotten

I normally like Michael Kors perfume. They normally smells expensive and long lasting. This one is not really. Nice smell nothing special, but there is no sillage. Can’t smell it unless you’re actually sniffing the person’s skin.

indiglo

Beautiful and creamy! Got this after trying to buy my old favorite Michael and discovering it was discontinued.
Good to know I really like this too! Might be a love.

SarahPepper

I was gifted this and the strong was just a little toooo sweet/fruity/immature for my preference. I would not repurchase this or wear again.

Rwertz123

I went to ulta the other day and was looking for a new perfume to try. I smelled this and read such amazing reviews online so I decided to buy it. This is a nice perfume but it is a little too heavy. It’s definitely worth the price because even just one spray does a lot and performs well! I do recommend if you want a sweet long-lasting perfume!

joyous888

From Wonderlust, I get a terrific blast of florals in the opening that refuses to quiet down with time. I am a lover of almond fragrances, and sadly, I don't see this as almond forward like others seem to. It is heavy with jasmine and soft with heliotrope, like someone has just given me a delightful bouquet. Or, perhaps, I've been handed the bouquet from my butler while I'm feasting on a delicious almond treat - I am too enchanted with the bouquet and the pleasant scent it gives me to focus at all on the dessert I've long left on the table.

I would say that this perfume isn't gourmand. It doesn't ring sweet like other almond scents do to me, it rings beautiful. I could imagine this at a wedding. I could even imagine this at a funeral. It is classy, beautiful, perhaps even mournful in the right context, but gracious and happy in others. I do not dislike it one bit!

The longevity is okay. It's not fleeting, but it doesn't stay with me all day like a clingy lover or an anxious dog. It projects well, and amongst knitters and scrapbookers, this has been a big hit! Compliments galore. It is a favorable scent with mass appeal, at least, so long as you are not in a room full of people who dislike floral scents...

Gemsense

Mmmm I never smelled the beauty in this until this fine cool fall morning…. It is very white floral and creamy. Kinda smells like fluffy banana candies. I really love this right now. I need to take note of the temperature cuz this is the perfect weather for this, it makes it smell so yummy!

AinoKaroliina

The jasmine note in this is really strong, to me this perfume screams white floral. I get the strong jasmine scent immediately in the top notes but then once the jasmine slowly fades down I notice a pleasant creamy almond milk scent.

It's not a bad perfume and it's pretty long lasting but it just doesn't suit my personal taste. I wanted to love this and gave it many chances but the floral notes were way too loud for me every time.

Comicalcupcake

This one is wearable and versatile. One of few that I can wear in all seasons. Fine for any occasion. It doesn't excite me, but it's an easy grab when I can't decide. It does have good lasting power, which many don't on my skin.
As far as the actual scent, I get a fluffy sweet cloud with a bit of marzipan and a bit of baby oil. An easy pleaser that gets compliments.

BritneyPerfume4Eva

You know what I usually don't like? Almond and spiciness. But I love this! Why? Because Guichard and Blanc made it, of course. From the makers of Black Opium and La Petite Robe Noire is another exquisite.

I'm usually into my girly fragrances - to the point of being tacky, shamelessly - complete with a pink bottle, but every MK fragrance will always find a place on my dresser because they're divine. They last for days and should make other perfumes ashamed of how little their fragrances project compared to MK's.

Just so, so, so nice. They're a great price, unique, the ultimate Christmas present. I'm in love with this and Sexy Ruby.

Thykes10

I definitely get the citrus (mainly bergamot) with a slight spicyness from the pink pepper. Once that dissipated I get jasmine and carnation on my skin- not much of the cozy almond vibes I was hoping for. Drydown is more of the soft cozy vibe with the benzoin and sandalwood but I don't really love the journey it takes to get there. I disagree that this is similar to Burberry Brit. It does have good longevity and sillage, but it just doesn't agree with my skin chemistry or my tastes. I wouldn't say this is a safe blind buy.

Melody Valentine

These reviews are all over the place. Smells like Dior Addict, Mugler Angel, Libre, Mon Guerlain, and other perfumes that smell nothing like each other. This couldn't be further from Angel, or any of those perfumes. What this actually smells like is almost identical to Burberry Brit. It's got the key lime pie smell. Sharp, fizzy citrus on top of a creamy sweet base. It's got a bit of play doh smell underneath and isn't very strong bit it's nice. Same as Brit, it's nice for summer, not really my style but it doesn't smell bad. If it was stronger it'd be much better.

Erincess

I dont get any almonds. Soft creamy sweet floral quite common cosmetic scent. a little powdery.

lynne2

At some stage it smells of carnation, so called 'sweet William'. Then it settles down on a base of benzoin and sandalwood. This is perfectly sweet but elegant floral fragrance without patchouli or vanilla. Something suitable for people liking classic vintage floral perfumes.

peachygal

I don’t get any of the almond milk. I was expecting powdery almond and I don’t even know what I got. A nothingness? A perfumey perfume. Would never purchase this one. Does not last either.

cookygirl

I tested this yesterday alongside Gorgeous.
I liked this but one note was slightly off-putting to me.
Got home, read the notes and realized it was the heliotrope - a note that often smells wrong to me in floral mixes.
Still, I like the overall scent profile well enough to want to test some of the flankers.
The Eau de Voyage and the Eau Fresh look particularly interesting to me.
I hope I can find testers.

soumayaela

I don't know why, but to me Wonderlust smells similar to Libre or Mon guerlain. They don't smell exactly the same, but they are very similar, almost like flankers
I even prefer Wonderlust, the balance between the powderiness the sweetness and the touch of bergamot makes it very easy to wear
Lasting power and projection are also great
I only have a sample but i'll make sure to buy the full size, even though i already have Libre and Mon guerlain

Warmbroodje

This is a watered down Dior Addict. So if you think that perfume is too heavy, this is a good choice.
It also reminds me of Truth by Calvin Klein.

Ghadah02

This smells soft yet a little creamy.

It reminds me of a leave-in conditioner I used to have that smells good!! if you're a middle eastern woman you'll understand what leave-in conditioner I'm talking about.

Andy224

Cute floral gem. Smells chic and elegant. Versatile and ok longevity.

jesssmells

I love the sweet and spicy of this one! It's a strong contender for signature scent status. The opening smells like sweet almond paste but also stings your nose a bit (I'm guessing that's the pink pepper). The dry down is this amazing cozy warmth with a little lingering spice, but there's enough floral freshness there to keep it from being an autumn cashmere sort of scent. The longevity is good on me and I find it very versatile for day/night and most seasons except the dead of winter.

noodlehead19

smells like fancy almond lotion with a slightly spicy base. I love this for summer, and I'm glad it steps away from the whole coconut-sunscreen-tropical flowers trope that is so common in perfumes for the season. that being said, it's not groundbreaking or anything, but it's still nice. it tends to disappear on me pretty quickly but I like the skin scent it does turn into. imo not worth full price but definitely worth picking up at a discount!

Perfumeaddict84

Love this scent!

Soledad89

Lovely floral scent. I can barely pick up the almond note but it combines well with the other notes such as the jasmine and bergamot. Longevity is weak, about 2 to 3 hours, and I wish it lasted longer. Wanderlust smells so feminine and sophisticated. Here in my region this is unavailable as I haven't seen one in perfume counters. I hope it's not discontinued.

Goohoarder

I had small sample vial of this, so I only used it a few times. This has a strong floral scent, like rose and honeysuckle. It's very feminine and perfume-y. I personally did not get any creamy almond notes, this was just floral forward for me. However at the time I was not as keen on fragrance as I am currently, so maybe I'd have a different opinion now.

Anfissa

Charming, glamorous and romantic vibe.
I can smell light almond citrus at the opening then transitioning into beautiful white florals, mainly I can pick up on Jasmine. This is ultra feminine, with intoxicating florals with delicate and glamorous powdery undertones. Glamorous just like many perfumes from Michael Kors! Could work as an everyday scent perfect for work or leisure. The bottle is simply gorgeous, and the box is lovely peachy pink color. The ad is so romantic with the lady escaping with her paramour into the sunset on the boat. Love the dreamy adventurous name of Wonderlust, suggesting a perfect escape from all the world’s troubles. Smells soft and powdery but modern when settles, and perfect for Autumn chill, somehow Bright and cozy. This one is so powdery sophisticated and romantic and suits my glamorous feminine style to a t. My signature scent!

Turqouise.Realm

Reading the reviews here makes it even more difficult to blind buy this. Some say it's a cozy warm almondy perfume for fall or late spring, others say is fresh and zesty for summer or beach vacay mode! Wich of both it is? 🥺 here there is no place where I can go and test it first.

roxhas123

This smells like the taste of Barrett’s Frosties cola flavour. It’s pleasant, sweet and yummy

BougieGirlShops

It's a nice fragrance with creamy almond, delicate jasmine, and a little warmth from the base notes. My first thought is that the name matches the scent very well. There's an ethereal, boho, golden hour vibe to this if that makes sense.

Fatima1219

I received this as a gift a couple years ago from someone who used to be very important in my life-- many moons before then. I still have, well over, half of the bottle left. To me, this is a very average and annoying fragrance, just like the person who gave it to me. I cannot wear this regularly because it has a very plastic and cloying element contained in it.
Usually, I am a fan of Michael Kors everything, but this was a let down for me.

XOXO_marcel

So lovely. A very perfumey perfume, if you know what I mean. I rarely like powdery notes, but they're done so well here! This has the photorealistic texture of a real, natural flower. After a couple hours it turns into sweet, fluffy vanilla.
Classy, timeless, not too mature and not too youthful. This smells like it could be an Estee Lauder perfume, I think from the way the jasmine is presented, but it's a little easier to take in than most of EL's offerings.

candieskulls

It gives me chai latte vibes (substituted with almond milk, of course). Must be because the carnation flower supposedly smells like cloves, and the benzoin note here is supposed to give cinnamon vibes. It somehow manages to be both fresh and warm/spicy at the same time. I remember getting a sample of this in the mail and it would always instantly relax me and make me smile. I ended up getting a full bottle and making it my signature, haha. Something about this perfume just screams "autumn" to me (golden-brown color aesthetics, lattes, cardigans) which is ironic because it was advertised as a summer, beachy scent. If anything it's perfect for that transition between summer and autumn, but honestly, you can wear this year-round. I've yet to smell anything similar to the simplicity of this, so I must say it's pretty underrated! I love Wonderlust. <3

Edit 11/25: Interestingly enough, now that it's gotten colder, my nose notices the citrus a lot more than when it was a lot warmer!

Vellocet

The main accords really spoke to me so I safely blind bought it. But I was wrong. I can’t detect any note really, it just smells fresh and generic. Longevity is bad. Maximum of three hours on my skin. It’s not offputting or so, it’s a fresh scent but really nothing special. I hoped for a little powderiness because of the heliotrope but couldn’t detect it.

likesleet

sweet citrus and almond milk (not almonds!), in a powdery, not a gourmand or realistic way. but unfortunately it has a strong pepper note.

Enchanted77

This is a gorgeous creamy almond floral that’s VERY similar to The original Girl of Now by Elie Saab & Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. If you have one of these two, you don’t need to add Wonderlust to your collection.

realitygreene

I'm surprised that I like this so much considering the almond milk and heliotrope, two notes that have not been my favorite in the past. But, this is very pretty! It's not too heavy or overwhelming which I anticipated for some reason. I could absolutely see this being someone's signature scent.

I like it, it's pleasant and smells good, but I don't think it's one I would buy. It doesn't make me go crazy!

iceethedon

This is very powdery and heavy on the white florals. I don’t get amber romance at all

Nicole0223

Smells like Victoria secret Amber Romance 🤎

KTobie

Smells yummy, like a grown women! My husband wasn't a big fan (he said it smelled like deodorant) but I think is very nice from the sample I got it seems to be heavy on scent as well.

JayTheBird

Finally got to test this one a few days ago. I actually disliked the opening a lot, almost rushed to scrub it off. On me the opening is very sharp, almost like some cheap(ish) old-man-cologne. But before I got to do that, it started to dry down. And oh my god I'm glad I didn't wash it off. Yes, ended up buying a bottle. This seems to bo one of those scents that need a little time to come alive.

When the scent starts to dry, it turns out into soft, spicy, warm but still suprisingly fresh. I do get the jasmin, vanilla and lovely sandalwood. Very sweet but not in a candy kind of way (which I also love). Very comforting. Blends beautifully to my skin. I think this is quite strong scent and can be easily over sprayed. I actually had to spray this one in to tiny roller ball vial, because I live with a person quite sensitive to smells. I have to do that to most of my parfumes, and I actually enjoy it too, getting just enough on so that I can smell it myself but won't bother anyone else with it. Stays on my skin well over night.

I usually enjoy fruitier and a lot more subtle scents. Some might even say I love the ones designed for young girls (and I am almost 40 already...). But this just hit some spot in my soul and I really really do love this one.

This scent reminded me of something I have had (and loved) as a teenager, I just didn't know what it was at first. I sniffed this over and over again, then it hit me. Yves Rocher's Shafali (I got a test sample as a gift from my mom's friend, and as a girl who couldn't afford parfumes at the time, it was really precious to me). Probably it is the sandalwood and jasmin combination that is similar. And yes, the last time smelled Shafali was like 20 years ago, so I might be wrong... :)

TWebb

Creamy, smooth and mellow. Like wrapping yourself in a warm sweater.

Stoicchild

Beautiful scent, it's a grown up version of Sexy Amber. Sexy Amber is very zesty and upbeat.

This one's Sexy Amber's elder sister, she's more sophisticated and polished, she has more depth to her. She's more put together. She's very classy and has an old soul. She's the perfect trophy wife without letting her status get too much into her head.

I couldn't stop smelling my wrist. I only sprayed it once and it stayed the whole day, even after I washed my hands. The projection is enormous!

ZeroLeon

Powdery floral. No idea when to wear. 5-6 hours.

LSAUG

I don't know why this perfume is giving me Angel Muger vibes but it is. Maybe because it is so heavily synthetic and sharp. There is a sickliness that I get w/ Angel in this as well. It makes me feel the same nausea that I felt when I smelled Angel for the first time. Milky, overpowering sickly lotion smell. It also reminds me True Love by Elizabeth Arden w/ out the greenness. Wow this is making my eyes hurt. Got to get away from this and now.

spraguelauren

This opened very bubblegummy for me. After a minute the almond milk, jasmine, & bergamot came through. Smells like earl grey with honey and almond milk, but if you drank it in a laundry room where the drier just finished running. Cozy but a little sharp.

billy_krimber

forgettable asff but okay

fanntonyoscar

I must be smelling something different from the other reviewers… to me, this smells like a combination of dryer sheets, glade plug-ins and a hint of bad breath. I just can’t. 😩

Luxtronika

This scent brings me nostalgic vibes because it reminds me of a scent I used to have in my youth. In 1988, Mattel released Barbie's Pretty Perfume and this scent takes me back! Does anyone else relate to this? I can't stop smelling it and wearing it all the time. It is a soft fragrance, not overwhelming, office friends and the silage is moderate. One of my favorite scents of all time.

SM_tropical

This is a creamy, jasmine, amber scent that was long lasting (at least on my skin) and maybe well suited for fall and winter because of the cozy dry down.

I sprayed it from a tester I received with another purchase and at first the top notes were quite fresh and almondy at the same time and it was slightly reminiscent of the opening of Burberry Brit (for me,) which I often wear as an everyday casual fragrance. I see now that Wonderlust has bergamot and almond in the top notes … so it lends itself to a similar feel in the opening but not after that.
The heart got quite heavy with jasmine and amber for me, hence why I think it would be a nice fall scent. I did get Amarige vibes just from the scent memory alone. A friend used to wear a LOT of that in high school and that was a looong time ago, but as I kept getting whiffs of it during the heart notes stage I kept thinking there was something similar to Amarige. Not exactly, but some notes…
The dry down is almond -Jasmin -amber to my untrained nose.

Overall, it’s a nice perfume that I think many will enjoy, even if it isn’t ground breaking ….

Mickyg71

Smelled this on a friend the other night, and it smelled so similar but I couldn't put my finger on it. Sprayed some Good Girl by Carolina Herrera on today, and that's when I realised how close they are. Not surprising considering they have some same notes. Surprised that I haven't read this elsewhere.

Szafirowy czar

This fragrance is for the women who want to draw some attention and don't like passsing unnoticed. However, there's something offputting in this composition for me, totally not my vibe so will continue my search for the brave daytime perfume

Lena S

An easy-to-wear, office friendly yet casual musky/creamy jasmine scent.

A really nice one, as long as you don't expect it to be something it's not. It's good but it is a casual designer fragrance that's not meant to take your breath away.
The jasmine is very prominent on me for the entire duration, it actually constantly makes me think of jasmine green tea that I like drinking on occasion, and it feels refreshing and warm at the same time, just like the drink does.

More of a daytime scent for me, suitable for any season but I enjoy it more on warmer days, spring is the best time for it. Surprisingly long-lasting, it's been over 8 hours and I can still smell it from myself every time I move.

BigBobRoss

Strong milky almond mixed with soapy florals

Very generic, nothing new

Mediocre silage and longevity

amy33

I looove it, smells like milky almonds to me. A bit synthetic, but still a beautiful scent that stays long on my skin.

Rozalina

Light and sweet, smells like something I'd imagine on a pretty, uncomplicated woman in her 20's. I was hoping for a nutty, creamy gourmand from the almond milk but this is more like a slightly musky floral. With the citrus and almond top, this is like a less sugary Burberry Brit, but I prefer Brit.

Frgrncxgrl

When i ordered a sample of this, i was hoping for a milky, warm, gourmand leaning fragrance. To my nose, this is just a floral with a hint of sweetness. Not sugary sweetness, but has more shampoo vibes. Middle notes are very very dominant from start to finish. Unfortunately i get no almond milk from it, or any sort of milkiness. Very safe choice for any occasion, especially office and casual hangouts.

Phantomias

No almond, no woody notes here. WMK doesn't stand out from other modern frags, there's nothing to make this one unique. From the fairly sharp opening the fragrance progresses quickly to a skin scent while longevity is a little better.
Inoffensive and easy to wear.

jessyux3

Has a nice inoffensive milky almond smell, but very mature. Too mature for me personally.

This fragrance wasn't on my radar until I recieved a sample of it and decided to try it. On my skin it becomes such a warm, nutty, creamy fragrance. Benzoin works especially well on my skin and I think that is the note that really brings everything else to life for me. I m a big fan of gourmands and sweet fragrances. So this sticky, sweet fragrance that makes me smell like a dessert, is perfect for me. If you aren't a big fan of sweet frageances this is definitely a try before you buy. I don't find this overwhelmingly sweet, most of the sweetness comes from the benzoin.

I don't claim this is a subtle, classy or refines fragrance, but it's fun and playfully sexy. And easy to wear evening fragrance. Really, I would feel comfortable wearing it for any casual occassion. I have worn it on pretty warm summers evenings and I was surprised how well it worked it heat.

The performance is pretty decent overall. It lasts about 6-8 hours on my skin and has pretty good projection for the first few hours of wear than stays a little closer to the skin for the reast of the wear.

I am quite happy I was able to try the sample, otherwise I would never have discovered this lovely fragrance.

FeleciaB

I just received the travel size spray of this and really love it. I was going to buy the full size until i realized it smelled very familiar... it is almost identical to my YSL libre intense! I'm surprised they only have two notes in common. The YSL is stronger and has one note that stands out as different from Wonderlust but IMO there is no reason to own both. My husband prefers Libre, and I think I do too only because it is stronger. But if you like Libre but want something slightly softer then Wonderlust is for you. Wonderlust really is lovely!

*loves_shoes*

Top notes are generic bergamot and pink pepper. No almond to be seen (or smelled!). Lasts 5 mins.
Midnotes smell like any other jasmine heavy white floral. Very ‘perfumey’. Lasts hours.
White floral should be at the top of the accord pyramid, this does not represent those accords AT ALL.
By this point I know the base notes can’t improve on this.
Boring.
But great if you want to smell of jasmine.
I don’t, so I’m glad I only got the 10ml travel spray.

Edit: after several hours the dry down is a kind of very sweet, creamy, woody almond vanilla scent. But it’s a skin scent and only appears after the strong jasmine has gone. Which is a shame as it’s lovely. And the skin scent lasts ages! Like all day and night.

happybyscent

This is a gorgeous scent. It has a good balance of sweetness, the almond and jasmine really shine through and it smells creamy, powdery, but not too much of anything. It's very long lasting, and a solid perfume choice that lives up to expectations. 9/10

coffeefifofum

The first whiff of wood fades quickly, and the extended peppery top note is a bit much for my taste. Dry down is more wood. I am not a wood connoisseur, but the second wood is different from the opening. I can see where people are finding aerosol and hairspray in this, I'm still getting a lot of pepper with it. If there were florals in the mix they were fleeting. It's a true gender neutral dailywear scent. Not to my taste but not bad. I prefer the flanker Wonderlust Eau de Voyage.

pinkstate

The jasmine mixed with the bergamot gives a strong astringent opening that I am not fan of. But after few minutes it turns into a nutty /milky /white floral scent that I really like.

cjoudas

A bit hairspray, but likeable at the open, but within a few minutes fades to a faint vanilla almond hairspray.

Chellywellie

Thought this had potential looking at the main accords, unfortunately for me there was a strong alcohol/aerosol note that ran through it while I was wearing it. Cheap hairspray top notes, added to by cheap shower gel in the dry down. I do wonder if this would be better in the summer, but it would have to be dramatically different for it to work on me.

noor_kty

I think this one is a misunderstood unique beautiful fragrance which definitely needs more attention. Keeping all the categorization aside, if one has to set on a quest for a warm, pleasant, divine-smelling perfume, this should appear near the top of the list. The spicy-sharp top notes are purifying and add shimmer to the base which is ultra-smooth velvety where warm and floral notes are so well blended it gets hard to tell them apart. The shimmer-velvet nature justifies the name Wonderlust! And the positive energy that it brings also justifies the story of voyage and adventure. The depiction of blue sea and beach in the ad campaign looks very misleading though and can make a few disappointed as the fragrance does not lean at all on the fresh or breezy side. It's an elegant fragrance that makes one feel pure and noble. I recently read an article on Fragrantica about the newer genre of cashmeran notes, and I think Wonderlust deserves special attention for its unique use of cashmeran and the way it's blended.

Cogniaux

very meh, nice smelling. very lackluster. So unremarkable that im just now writing a review after i purchased this earlier this past spring

nickinicole

I smelled this on a sales associate, and it was sweet and very feminine. On me, it's down right sugary and far to spicy/peppery.

hola gigi

Generic but still good. Think magazine flap perfume. Very feminine. The almond milk + heliotrope combined create a nice creamy opening. I think you have to stack with lotion to have good longevity but it's not bad.

TheLB

Recent addition, first spritz was ok. Didn’t take long for me to become tired and annoyed with a certain note. Maybe the heliotrope? Not a safe blind buy in my opinion.

Hunnynpink

The opening is fruity floral then sweet milky, slightly spicy and soapy, the dry down is creamy fuzzy vanilla cashmeran. reminds me of a much lighter cashmere mist. Compliment getter.

tessture

Soft slightly powdery vanilla floral with wood notes. No specific bergamot but the whole is blended very nicely. Not distinctive or particularly unique, but enjoyable and pleasant in a cozy blanket way. Nice.

Bennyben1

It reminds me of a bolder, stronger Mon Guerlain. The jasmine and bergamont are prominent. On the dry down, a lovely cashmere-almond appears. I go back and forth between liking it and having no opinion. It's a common scent. I hate to use the word basic, but that's the idea. Yet it's hauntingly beautiful and I love smelling it on me.

yiola.al

To begin with, all Mk fragrances smell good on me.This one starts very generic and bright white floral (no almond milk,no geranium for me) but settles smoothly and cashmere feel like.Sandalwood not very prominent Easy to pull off day and night especially early fall.Fades beautifully, not overpowering not overly sweet, husband commented positively (which is wow!)

Sailor Pluto

You have to give this one at least half an hour to develop to its delicious stage!! I don't care for the opening, very generic stuffy jasmine (similar to other MK perfumes I don't care too much for) but then it becomes this deliciously-cold-sweet benzoin-almond dream cloud!! Holy smokes I love it!

Wonderlust:

Received this as a sample, not in a spray vial but a sample card that had a small pad saturated in the perfume.

Had Wonderlust sample sitting in a drawer for a couple months due to being leary about it after reading it had almond milk in it. Had sampled Marc Jacobs Perfect and although Iiked it the first few times, eventually I got nauseous by the sourness of the almond milk note of it, therefore,, I was afraid to try Wonderlust.
But on a whim looking for something new to try, and as leery as I was; Decided afterall to go for it and take it out.
I am glad I gave in! It is so pretty.

At first spray my skin oddly radiated Sand and Sable, which is something my mom has worn for years. She even agreed at first sniff that Wonderlust was reminiscent of it. I was taken back by this. It stayed true to Sand and Sable within a couple of hours then Wonderlust started to push and pull between notes of fruit and Jasmine, with a creamy tone underneath, which could be the almond milk, not sure because the typical sourness was not there though.

Overall, Wonderlust did not offend anyone I was around, my fiancé even commented how much he liked it. It sits mostly close to skin on me with a slight trail beyond the skin. It is pretty, beachy,, creamy,, cozy, and. comforting. I assume it could be worn anytime of the year. Amazing longevity too, I initially applied around 2pm yesterday, reapplied just a little more around 9pm, (purposely did not shower before bed in order to really review this fragrance properly) Its 8am and I can still smell it on my arm.

Again, this was not a spray sample so the liquid vial may prove much different but I am so surprised at the longevity off the card sample and now am hoping to try Wonderlust in spray sample to see if I still like it enough to spend the money to buy a full bottle.

9/10

Will do an update review if I acquire a spray sample.

LaContessina

An unpretentious, powdery creamy mainstream fragrance.
Got a 10ml sample vial that i kept in my bag for emergencies (i.e. when i rush out the house forgetting to apply a proper frag).
It's not terrible, but it's not notable.
It has a creamy feel, an almond powdery note and a sweet sweet (=synthetic) jasmine.
It's a typical shampoo/ shower gel fragrance.
Best suited for spring summer and a young audience.
All in all, you have smelled this a hundred times in different offerings.
So, not original in the least, average sillage and longevity. Ok for office wear.
However not for me.

amylovesamber

I’m pretty new to the world of fragrance. I got a sample in of this a few days ago and tried it for the first time tonight. My husband asked me why I was wearing men’s cologne.

giakerr

I’m pretty disappointed by this, but heliotrope and almond were calling my name, so I had to give it a try! This pulls very jasmine on me, and I’m surprised to not get more almond- heliotrope given both notes have a lot of votes. Initially I get a faint hint of almond + bergamot which reads as orange blossom to me. Then just… soapy jasmine and very floraly floralness, lol. I’d guess this to be an Armani Code flanker, but less memorable. It’s just too generically “perfumey”- really dull and safe for me. If you want an inoffensive, fresh-out-of-the-shower floral type scent, give this a try.

MonaMaybe

I almost blind bought this based on reviews and the notes alone- I'm so glad I tried a sample first. This doesn't mix with my chemistry at all and to me smells very sad. It smells like the idea of a beach vacation but the reality of working in a bank. There's something about this that is suffocating and depressing. But I can imagine it being kind of pleasant on the right person.

Pinkangel99

Creamy and soft I like it

renashepet

This is actually surprisingly good (I don't like many MK things), but this I love. I definitely get bergamot and pink pepper in the opening, which is softened by the almond, then comes the jasmine (the jasmine isn't too strong - which is a disappointment for me because I love jasmine, but might be worth a try for those who don't like it too much) and heliotrope. The drydown is a pretty decent sandalwood.

I can't judge longevity too well right now, it's quite hot where I am and my skin is eating all perfumes in a matter of a couple hours (no matter how strong it might be). This is an easy reach though, and I've been wearing it quite a lot since I got it. I have enough perfumes that there's no need for me to buy more, but I can see myself repurchasing this.

LauraAD

Like Twilly D'Hermes and some almond milk had a baby, in a good way. I adore Twilly, and this is quite a similar vibe on me, but with with almond milk instead of ginger. Not sweet and sugary, or sickly, but warm and cosy without being wintery or heavy. Definitely a warmer weather scent, one for sunny days. Moderate sillage, and lasts about 2-3h before it needs reapplying.

purpleturtle

I get pink pepper and jasmine, then gone in under an hour. Enjoyed the sample, but not enough. Not going to buy.

hamstergator

On me I get a lot of the powdery sweet almond, but not powdery nor sweet in the way I like. I prefer a sugary sweetness which this is not, as for powdery I find it hard to describe but florals e.g. Marc Jacob's Daisy tend to settle rather powdery on me in a way that's fresh and light, whereas this powdery is more like that of an old cosmetic perhaps (when I say old I mean literally stale, not old as in vintage). I get a slight woodiness, not much floral (although I find the heliotrope seems to stand out more), and no citrus at all.

This scent stayed fairly linear on me, initially slightly more woody and peppery and later more powdery. Later on when I sat near a heater it smelled nicer, a lot more creamy and slightly more woody which was interesting. Perhaps it's more of a summer scent, I'm in winter now so maybe that doesn't suit it. Overall It's alright, as with some others have said I find it's an inoffensive, rather boring scent. I feel like I've smelled something similar in a pharmacy before.

Dort0625

I was gifted a sample vial of this and have to say it smells way different than I would have expected it to, in a good way. It is much softer and fruity than I would have thought, I usually don’t get a good vibe from fragrances that have any peppery notes but this is really nice. I would absolutely buy this for the right price. I wouldn’t spend a fortune but it is really nice. I think if you were to go a little too spray crazy it could easily become an unlikeable fragrance but in good amounts like the typical wrists, elbows behind knees chest-décolletage area and nape of neck with a quick walk through in your clothes this would be perfect!

RainbowGirl

The almond milk in the opening, with the pink pepper, is really lovely.

I also like the pink pepper and benzoin combination. It reminds me of Roberto Cavalli's eau de parfum, but with less warmth, less projection, different floral notes, and cashmere wood in the base.

So... totally different. Haha.

The floral combination is almost sharp, instead of creamy. It feels like these fragrance notes are battling each other. Like two fragrances in the same bottle.

The scent aura is prettier than what this smells like nose to skin, and I can see why some fragrance nerds really like this fragrance, but it doesn't give my nose happiness.

Maybe I am not a fan of cashmere wood? Or heliotrope? Not even sure what cashmere wood is! I cannot really put my finger on exactly what I don't like about the fragrance, except that it just doesn't feel harmonious to my nose.

kobylnice

Almost identical scent to Wonderlust Sublime however with a very synthetic opening and more powdery finish. The mid/base notes are nice but I prefer the Sublime version - it's absolutely divine, more creamy and almondy. Be aware both fragrances have quite a poor projection, sitting too close to skin - good for hot summer days though.

GabrielleeeeeW

This scent smells very perfumey, and that's about all I get from it. I get some almond, but it's not in a sweet/gourmand way, it's backed by heavy florals. It's nice but nothing terribly exciting, though it projected very strong and seemed to last a good bit.

Obliiviin

Immediately after applying I thought "this smelled like limes and salt". Then all of a sudden, the florals came in very fast and hard, and it gave me a headache for a moment. First thought is that It's a very mature fragrance and while not a bad thing, not fitting for me. After it has settled, it has warmed up nicely and I do smell the almond. The warm spiciness draws me in, but the strong floral give me a headache and push me right back out. I'd imagine I'd like to smell this on someone in passing, but would not like it if I were in close quarters. I tried to wash it off, and the smell still lingers, which if you like this perfume is a great thing.

KowltheOwl

Very synthetic and cloying to my nose...a scrubber...makes me regret the prime forearm real estate I used on the sample.

VictoriaSmells

Upon reading the notes, this does NOT seem like something I would like. But it grew on me and now I love it.

The first time I ever encountered this fragrance (before I had developed any semblance of olfactory intelligence), I swore all I could smell was grapefruit- which must have been the bergamot. I didn't smell the pink pepper (thank goodness because I usually hate pepper). And as it dried down, it gave me a musky, sunblocky, beachy vibe.

During this time, I was desperately hunting for discontinued V&R Salty Flower. So I was latching on to anything that smelled vaguely powdery / sunblocky. I tricked myself into thinking Wonderlust was just a slightly sweeter version of Salty Flower, and now it is one of my favorites.

It definitely evokes the feelings of a beach getaway. Before even reading about the video campaign: "a gold, sequined-dress-clad Lily Aldridge escaping from a yacht into a small speedboat with her paramour into a rose-fueled sunset..." i swore i got 'fancy sailboat + cocktails' vibes. There was something oceany about it, despite being salt-less.

On my skin, it gives me the same powdery fresh linen scent that I pull from Salty Flower, albeit, sweeter and muskier. If I didn't know any better, I would say the almonds are in the middle notes and base notes because get a sweet, creamy scent the entire time i'm wearing it.

That being said, it doesn't last long AT ALL! I feel like it disappears after an hour or so. For the price, i would expect something a little more powerful.
I've been able to remedy this by layering it with Juliette Has a Gun- Not a Perfume. The single note cetalox seems to make Wonderlust last 3x longer, as well as add a little bit of depth and complexity.

CalamityJai

It's a nice scent, but that's it. There's nothing about it that stands out for me, it just smells like a run-of-the-mill office perfume. I keep forgetting I have a tester, it's that boring.

JaneVanDerWoodsen

This is beautiful and I'm a bit obsessed with it today so I figured this is the perfect time to review it.

I first bought a tiny little decant after a recommendation when I decided to get more into perfumes. The girl who suggested said "it's fine, I use it for work" so I didn't have super high hopes. I couldn't decide right away how I felt but at the time thought I'd get a full bottle, which I'm now LOVING.

It smells like a crumbly, almondy shortbread cookie with a bit of lime zest. They're sitting on a plate in the garden on a humid spring day. The scent of fresh flowers are wafting around in the warm breeze.

I don't get ANY pink pepper which is a shame because I think I'd really love that addition.

Wonderlust shines for me in spring and summer. Great for day or night.

spartaksci

My GF latest acquisition. This one is very bright floral, which fits my taste for womens fragrances. The heliotrope brings this "floaty" vibe, very feminine. Spring/summer sunny days, with a slight breeze...the bottle color is spot on: Pink, but not a "neon pink" and describes the scent perfectly. Has a "fresh out of bath" feel to it. Not a scent for bossy alpha females, but for delicate, feminine and sexy (in a seductive, not vulgar way), women. Also, sits right in the middle between being too girly and too mature, as there is no cloying sweetness or harsh smokyness.

Definetly a like.

taileybownsend

I am absolutely enthralled with this EDP and kind of get my feelings hurt by all the people calling this one boring. It may not be the most complex scent or even the most unique but it’s still beautiful!

The opening is very citrusy and fruity and lasts for several minutes, followed by a sharp almond, the almond does do a little something to my senses before it begins to fade into a milky white floral. I love that part, it’s so exciting to me how this fragrance moves from one layer to the next. Several hours in and I’m still picking up a very sexy, milky, smooth floral, that ends almost completely vanilla/sandalwood on me.

I initially passed on this fragrance when I received a sample because something about the name/marketing turned me off, I just felt like it wasn’t for me which is silly, we all know not to judge a book by it’s cover- but this scent is ALL me. I am obsessed with the sexy warm coziness of this perfume and I’m so happy I gave the sample a try and eventually purchased a full size for myself. Wonderlust is honestly the perfect date night perfume or even just an every day. It’s powerful without being overbearing or loud and it hits all the right notes in my opinion. Overall a really great add to my collection.

ceeceelee

This is very ethereal, it's an airy, powdery, lightly milky, sweet floral on me. The heliotrope and almond milk give it a powdery almond that I quite like. Carnation, pink pepper and bergamot give it just a hint of soft spicyness. The heliotrope again, jasmine and carnation a lovely floral that is sweetish. The sandalwood is creamy with the help of the resins being very mellow and giving some vanilla hints, they work well together here. I'm never really sure about the cashmere wood, bc it could just as easily be the sandalwood that gives it that woody note, or maybe they work together.

This is a like, but not a strong one. I get a burning in my nose if I spray the front of my neck or more than a couple spritz anywhere. I solve this problem by spraying on the back of my neck under my hair or the back of my knees. I don't subscribe to the notion that a scent has a time or season to be worn, I just wear when I'm in the mood for it. Not a safe blind buy IMO bc it doesn't list sweet in the accords, I'm definitely getting floral sweet. Everyone's mileage varies.

DaniBear1121

One of my most loved fragrances. It's warm and sexy, works in any season for any occasion. It doesn't project too loudly but enough to leave others wanting more. You'll want to keep sniffing your wrist too.. Smells expensive and slightly naughty. It's not mysterious but quietly confident. Love.

Tessa03

I just sold this on a whim and now I regret it. When I wore it last I found it too peppery, too spicy and sharp. I sprayed 1 spray before parting with it and it was really nice!! What was I thinking. It seems really soft now, semi-sweet and powdery. Darn it! I guess I will have to settle for its close sibling Wonderlust Sublime when I want to relive this smell. They are quite similar though Sublime is creamier and less powdery. For my sweet, zingy powdery kick I’ll have to reach for Jimmy Choo Illicit. Goodbye MK Wonderlust - it was too short of an affair, perhaps a new bottle will find its way to me in the future.

yoannavsoler

This is very heavy on me. In my opinion quite synthethic and cloying... I don't think I particularly like it, but the irony is that everytime I wear it, its always my male friends who compliment me on it!

sassa7

Sandalwood, benzoin, jasmine, carnation, heliotrope, cashmere wood, DAMN, all very deep heavy notes. Jasmine must be paired right or it can give me a headache, its intense here but its not sharp (unlike in Gucci Guilty) there is no patchouli/amber here thank God. The sandalwood is that of Montana 80, strong woody smell that becomes softer in the drydown and the almond here for me is what makes me like this perfume. As time passes it projects so nicely as a whole and I no longer separate notes and its less heady. I LOVE almond and cherry, sometimes cherry/sour cherry smells like almond. Id categorize this perfume in the La Rive Fleur de Femme league, due to the dusty heaviness of it and the almond paired with the heady florals along with jasmine, no resemblance to Fleur de Femme tho (think Poison Girl edp). Benzoin gives that incense heaviness, in fact gum benzoin is used in the Greek church and I recall the one that we had at home and used, boy its heavy but lovely. We even had rose pink colored benzoin which smelled like rose incense. I wish they put that in a perfume. Okay so I love the sweet powdery heaviness of this perfume as its well balanced with the floral game. Not much pink pepper here for me but a touch of the syrupy green sweetness of bergamot throughout. I absolutely love it. Not at first, at first I thought it was too heavy floral for me and gave it to my mom, then I missed it and bought one for me too. Cant say no to almond, Ill always chase the cherry/sour cherry and the almond.

allayloo

It opens with bergamot and creamy almond milk and then the pink pepper. The bergamot lasts quite a while until it settles into a creamy floral fragrance; I’m not certain whether it’s predominantly jasmine or heliotrope. I definitely pick up the sandalwood and benzoin in the drydown. It’s quite a dynamic scent.

I need a good 4-5 sprays of this for it to last. It has much better longevity on clothes than on my skin, and then it lasts a good 6+ hours. Otherwise, this becomes a skin scent in under an hour. As far as sillage goes, someone walked by me and a friend at a restaurant and turned and said, “One of you smells amazing.” I was the only one of us wearing a fragrance. Additionally, my husband really likes this one on me. It really jives with my chemistry.

Phemia

Wonderlust initially goes on very floral heavy. I get more vanilla than almond at first. It's definitely powdery, creamy, and sweet. A little boring in the beginning. However, after it dries down it get nicer; the almond comes through, the floral notes die down quite a bit but it still leans very jasmine heavy, and the wood stands out ever so slightly. For having pepper in this fragrance, it's not nearly as sharp or piercing as some other scents I've tried. It's got a hint of spice there but it's rounded and soft. I don't pick up on the bergamot, honestly wouldn't have guessed that was in here at all. Lasts a fair amount of time, but it's longevity won't blow anyone out of the water. Sillage is good as well, arm's length for sure. Someone won't smell you when you walk into a room but they will when you walk past them. I'd say Wonderlust is pretty and safe, erring on the side of plain sometimes.

CreamSunshine

A little almond, a little wood, quite powdery. Funny that Michael Kors doesn’t make handbags in the hippy-style suedes, because I imagine the person wearing this fragrance as a wealthy young woman with long, un-brushed hair carrying a brown suede handbag with hippy tassels. The fragrance is not my style; it’s not sweet enough for my sweet gourmand loving self.

Brunapontes

I adore my wonderlust perfume. In my skin it smells smoky (like cigarette smoke) and not at all sweet, a bit almondy and flowery but all those put together make for a fantastic smell. I'm not a person who smokes or enjoys cigarette smells, so I was a bit surprised for liking it. It makes me feel like a strong and sexy woman on a night out.

jamyllevuyk

This is soo good!! It reminds me a lot of dior addicted that I always wanted but I think its too mature for my age (27) . This perfume is softer and I love that. Dior is a bit too heavy on me. I can pick a lot of the almond, jasmine and Amber. It has some spiciness to it. Can't wait to use it in the summer 😁

perfumesniffer

smells like diet Dior Addict but with much less longevity and little sillage. pleasant skin scent for occasions where you don’t want a scent trail. I really want to change the name to wanderlust tho. it’s a pretty vanillic floral almond. I have a 10 ml decant, not fbw for me but I like it.

adrienn99

This should have been a winner based on notes..but alas it isn't.

It's sugary sweet but then it could have gotten away with it, had it not been some underlying bitterness... rendered sandalwood and musk, I wonder? Smells a bit like a scented soap bar.

Other than that, very basic, and not in a good way.

rihabi

I don't know why I waited so much time until buying this. Probably because it's a little too pricy, but I'm not complaining. Huge "yes" from me. Creamy jasmine, seductive sandalwood and milky almond. I forgot about the heliotrope, that's one of my favorite flowers for fragrances. Very sweet, but in the floral aspect, not sugary sweet. Definitely a must have, at least in my opinion.

Fraghag7

This is a really nice scent that I was hoping to wear for warmer weather. Unfortunately this is still a bit heavy with some underlying musk and I'll have to wait until next year wear this. To me this smells similar to Ralph Lauren Woman except replace the orange blossom in that one for jasmine. Really lovely and feminine but not summery in my opinion.

stacia79

I feel like everybody slept on this one. It's a really smooth jasmine and sandalwood underpinned with creamy heliotrope. Opens like a can of condensed milk and then moves through jasmine into a soft musky old school powder puff. There were just too many new releases at the same time this one came out in 2016. This is milky like an expensive cold cream.

u24masonl

I'm surprised at how divisive this scent seems to be based on other reviews. This is my signature summer scent!

For me there is not a single trace of powdery-ness (if there is such a word). It is peppery, exotic, tropical, spicy, floral and feminine. Jasmine, bergamot and pink pepper sings through this for me.

It's certainly not a complicated smell; the initial spray, the drydown and the lingering scent hours after remains exactly the same. But that doesn't bother me because it is fun and sexy. In fact, the hotter it is outside, the sexier this smells. Layered with some coconut body oil or butter, this will make you smell like an island goddess. And for a good four hours, at that.

kyl77

This smells amazing on me. I have a small sample vial that I'm enjoying. It's quite sweet. The main thing I smell is a beautiful sandalwood with a touch of soft floral notes and something sweet, which I guess is the almond milk. This lasts over 12 hours on my skin and has good projection, but it's not overpowering. Others can smell it on me if they are close to me, but it doesn't over-announce itself. This makes it a perfect year round scent. I can't think of any situation where this couldn't be worn. It's just lovely. I haven't seen the full-size bottle in person, but pictures of the bottle look enticing. Hopefully, I'll be able to add a bottle to my collection someday.

TexasOrangeBlossom

I still say this one is under appreciated. Maybe my skin chemistry works with it better than a lot of people. Not sure. For me though, it’s a consistent compliment getter while much more well reviewed fragrances get me little or no compliments. I crave it when I want to feel cozy and snuggly.

isabella_andromeda

Sweet, powdery, almondy. Agree with the person below me that it smells cashmere-y; I get zero pink pepper whatsoever, even on first spray. A job interview scent - very pretty, very inoffensive, quite generic. Curious to try the Eau Fresh, since apparently that has grapefruit notes (a bit more 'me' than sweet almonds).

If you want to try this, have a look around for samples - MK are doing a promotion and I got mine for free.

chelseamurdock

I have a sample of Wonderlust. I can smell the jasmine note for sure. I could’ve sworn an orange blossom note was in this fragrance. It definitely has an orange-y and juicy citrus burst In the opening. I can’t stand YSL Libre so I don’t get that comparison - YSL Libre is heavy on the soapy lavender note which completely turned me off. I can appreciate and enjoy Wonderlust though. It’s much creamier and prettier due to the jasmine and almond and sandalwood notes. I mostly smell sandalwood in the dry down, which is a note I love in fragrances. It’s so interesting to me how different everyone’s sense of smell is haha!

I’m not sure if I will purchase a full bottle of this fragrance after my sample is used up. It smells quite similar to Narciso Rodriguez Ambrée (which I own a bottle of and prefer), except a tad lighter. It’s a pretty perfume that one can wear any time, and during any season. It’s an inoffensive, natural, soft perfume. I’m surprised that musk is not listed as a note because I do get a touch of muskiness.

Air.astarte

I was in la-la-la-love when I smelled this on display in 2016. I saw it on sale last week so I grabbed it and... They wouldn't have done a reformulation that quickly, would they? My tastes could've changed I suppose. I remember it smelling more like nag champa incense. Now all I smell is generic soapy white flowers. On top of that, I sprayed it on my wrist about 15 minutes ago and it's already a skin scent.

vattenmelon

I have changed my mind about this perfume.... i sprayed it and got a terrible headache ! Cant wear it now such a shame

I don’t care for this. It smells screechy and synthetic. It may be the carnation. I prefer a grittier smell, this is cloying to me. I like the top notes and the base notes, but those flowers are killing my head. I may need to wash it off :( I really wanted to try this

vattenmelon

WOw it smells amazing! I recieved a sample and when i sprayed it i was like mmmmmm oh my god :D lol

cooke.84

"Wonderlust" is an attention grabbing name, but I don't think it fits this fragrance. This scent is not about exploring new territory, but rather about feeling very warm and cozy in your own skin. A very milky jasmine that is extremely feminine. After the initial spice it warm and soft. A pink silk blouse with a delicate floral pattern as a perfume.

Funscented

So, I have been in love with the Versace Crystal Noir for a while, but it always dried down to this very soapy/ laundry smell that I hated. But the initial spicy smell.. WOW.

I finally found that powdery, spicy, cashmerey smell in this perfume, AND it lasts longer too. On me, this smells like Peppercorns and dries down to a cashmere/ peppercorn with slight bergamot smell. It lasts for at least 6-7 hours. It is currently cold where I live, so I'm not sure how it will hold up during the summer, but I can see this being a signature scent. It is elegant, sexy and mysterious. I would suggest trying it before buying. It is definitely a mass pleaser, but if you are looking for something long lasting and pleasurable, I would say try this.

I DO agree with some folks saying it is a bit burning to your nose, the peppercorn is definitely a little strong and I can see how it gives a headache to some people who are sensitive, but DEFINITELY give it a shot.

ManoChrome

This is one of those scents where I totally don't understand the hype. It is a very safe, very average creamy floral. Nothing new, nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing unpleasant either. It does not last very long. I think this is a very safe everyday scent, perfect for office or anywhere you don't plan to stand out of the crowd.
I use up my sample and probably never remember it again.

brumbarche

To me this one falls in the same category as "Good Girl Gone Bad" by Kilian. Creamy daytime tamed white florals - slightly dewy and more powdery, as if GGGB was layered with Dior Pure Poison. If GGGB is too creamy and Pure Poison is too powdery and a bit dated, this is a good middle ground at a better price point.

alythra

This smells quite nice, but my nose can't handle smelling it as a fragrance for too long. The almond note is quite strong, and something about the mix of almond and spicy notes makes me noise kind of 'burn' a little - like when you smell cinnamon powder up close.

This one might be worth trying a sample before buying.

ICIchrissy

Smells really nice, but does not last on me whatsoever!

MsLittlejohn

In the mid-dry down, the vanilla in this is reminding me of Dior Addict.

diane.sandra.van.jaarsveld

This is a tough one for me to decide. I have over 70 bottles of perfumes and I this bottle has lasted the longest. I read the dislikes and I agree and then I read the likes and I also agree. It's a nice Powdery, sweet, musky scent but it doesn't have that WOW factor for me. Smells like a lighter version of Coach Floral. I want to love it. I use it as a bedtime fragrance

Cherry_Darling

This perfume really has nice memories for me. I was celebrating my 35th with a week in Manhattan with a good friend who had given me a sample of this she picked up at the airport so I was wearing it all around New York. I didn't really pick up on the almondy aspect at the time but I did like it. Now looking back it's a lot more plastic then I remember it being, but who cares, it's all about the wonderful memories with this one. To me it's dewy and fresh, but it is a little mainstream and fairly synthetic so wouldn't commit to a bottle despite liking most of the notes in here.

Mizmalibu

I tried it for the first time on a cooler spring day and I was a bit disappointed. I found it boring, like the majority of the fragrances you can buy in the larger perfumeries where I live. But now in summer heat (we do have hot days in summer in Holland too once in a while) it really opens up! The almond mixed with an exotic floral heart with jasmine, the benzoin, it is lush and still classy, very feminine, and , to my surprise, lasting a lot longer than it did in spring.

Jacquis

Michael Kors Wonderlust, I've had a generous sample of this perfume for over a year. I keep it in my traveling makeup pouch. Every time I wear this perfume, I swear that I'll get a full bottle. It is so beautiful on my skin. The initial burst of jasmine is so sexy and intoxicating. There is nothing shy about this one. It combines with my skin to announce our entrance into any room. I mostly get a very smooth and warm jasmine for the entire duration. This was worn in warmer weather but will be a great signature scent.

The projection and longevity are impressive on me. It is an elegant but still sexy floral. The dry down has some remnants of Alien but I find this much more versatile. Gorgeous perfume. I love this. Full bottle on the way.

TackyAki

It’s nice, but painfully boring and cookie-cutter. Smells kinda like any other “mall perfume”... pleasant but forgettable....

Kots_Tanya

Never thought I’d like something from Michael Kors, but this one was a surprise. I smelled it in Ulta and was so surprised. It’s very pretty and powdery and feminine. I came home with a paper strip sprayed on with it and what a gorgeous dry down. It does remind me a bit of Dior addict at first but they’re very different, not dupes at all. To me the dry down reminds me more of the New Look by Dior or Kilian Voulez Vous Coucher Avec Moi, not a dupe but the dry down has a similar vibe to it. Cozy and powdery, intoxicating that makes you come back for a sniff.
Update: purchased a bottle.

bdragonfly12345

I had never heard of this scent before yesterday, when I was given a sample of it. I came on to read about it, and was excited to try it out, after reading the notes.

I normally go for sweet, gourmand types of fragrances, and this is just OK to me. I think the almond note is a bit strong for my taste. It's just sort of middle-of-the-road, and not overly memorable or interesting to me.

The longevity is great, and the sillage is heavy. I think it would be a pleasant work scent.

I will likely use my sample up, but wouldn't buy a whole bottle of it.

Nicki6089

I don't understand the hate that this perfume gets it's a beautiful scent that will stay in my collection

xx2901

The first spray reminds me the elegant signature MK perfume. But later it becomes warmer and powdery. At some point it smells like realistic Dianthus barbatus, I know these flowers for ages because of really intense sweet aroma. I fully understand why perfume seems "mature", because carnation type of notes are not common these days. Anyway, this perfume is great for formal occasions, black tie events and parties. It's not common and not overused, a modern glamour.

codymarieb

This is an absolutely gorgeous, warm cashmere almond and vanilla hug with a hint of summer.

It's classy, mass pleasing, and I think a safe blind buy in my opinion.

One of my new favorites!

Fragrance Reviews & Hauls: My YouTube: The Simple Chic Life

Nijntje

Fresh floral opening with a kick of pepper to wake you up. Slightly fruity. Promising start making way for the flowers quickly, first jasmin, then a richer bouquet. It's very pleasant, but it's gone within a minute. Wow, this frag is going fast. It suddenly disappears from projection to skin scent, just like that. Now seems a little flat with a bit of a sharp note to it, all of a sudden. Huh. The benzoin kicking in? It smells handsoapy. Rounding out... yup, barely there soap.

Well. That was underwhelming. Less 'wonderlust', more ' wonder where it went'. (I just checked, it's EDP.)

So, er. You could wear this in the office, to school and to your grandma's house. It's quite nice. Dry almonds with a hint of delicate flowers and something tart. Smelling like you're clean is always a good thing in my book.

I don't think it's "an infinite desire for adventure, romance and discovery" but I do think it's feminine. Suitable for girls and women looking for a pleasant, understated, and subtle summer scent. I like this. It's quiet but really nice. Maybe if you're a bit shy, or you just don't want to telegraph to the whole office what a sexbomb you are, this could work. Maybe a cute date?

Get it on sale though, it doesn't smell expensive and you might be tempted to spray more.

Hsorens

I’m not a perfume expert or even close but I love this perfume.
About three years ago I was looking for the perfect perfume to wear for my wedding and discovered this one at an Ulta. I bought a rollerball and I still have more than half of it left. It’s a beautiful scent. It’s light and creamy and mature while still being fresh and exciting. Once I finish this rollerball I will definitely be buying a larger size.

Atomikbomb_

I just posted, and immediately pulled my review due to better judgment/gut feeling. I thought I should spray it again for a second try with the opening.

This, this is pushing me a little. Yes, the heliotrope and almond together create a total dry, sweet, powdery bomb. But; (and this is a huge but), I feel that it's almost necessary. For about half an hour it's strong, but it fades into an intoxicating, sensual almond that is both inviting and unusual. The opening is over-the-top, definitely, and I would spray this half an hour before arriving anywhere. I love strong fragrances, but it's even a bit past my limits.

I like the sandalwood in the background, it's also dry, sweet, and seamlessly echoes the heliotrope and almond. There are a few other note, but I couldn't discern anything specific without Fragrantica's breakdown.

I actually think this is pretty unusual and worth checking into. I love my sample of this, I'm saving until fall 🍂

melmmo

On me, this is chokingly powdery, as in someone just puffed a huge cloud of powder in my face and I literally can't breathe. I got a headache instantly. Had to scrub it off.

Pixiedust2

I just read on the forum that this is a heliotrope/almond gourmand, so I was shocked when I found it in my sample stash as I've been on an almond/heliotrope tear as of late. Sad to say that all I'm getting is jasmine, and it's not even listed in the notes. First spray was all jasmine. Ten minutes in it smelled very beachy, reminiscent of Beachwalk to me. Well that was gone is a shot, and now I'm back to full on jasmine. I'll report back if this changes throughout the day, but an hour in it's a jasmine bomb on my skin. I think my nose is broken. Or my skin just sucks. It's pretty, inoffensive, but not what I was looking for.

Humblebee

I smelled this is a Vogue magazine ad and it resparked my love of fragrances. It smelled so creamy and spicy, rich and exciting yet comforting and familiar. I had to have it so I asked for a full bottle for Christmas. Now when I spray it it smells like a big round balloon full of jasmine/heliotrope milk. I don’t really love it as much as I thought. I don’t really like jasmine/heliotrope as much as I thought. I will still wear it, as a daytime-not-so-sure-what-I-wanna-wear smell.. but it’s really not so great.

kayleenanncooke

I hate Jasmine. At first all I get is Jasmine so I was going to scrub, but then in 15 mins it develops into beautiful sweet creamy milky heliotrope, sandalwood and almond.

Vanillastorm40

I agree with a few comments that I too was mislead by the color and packaging. This should have a dark color. Anyway, I'm in LOVE with this fragrance. So creamy. I'm SPICY vanilla n gourmand lover, this is BEAUTIFUL.

ntabassum92

I would have passed over Wonderlust if my friend and coworker had not told me it was her signature scent. I'm usually not too crazy about most Michael Kors perfumes, but this one is indeed unique and special. It has an interesting note breakdown and scent character, while still being mass appealing. I like that this fragrance is a perfume where it's not too clear what you are smelling - but the overall effect is something that stands apart and smells good, inviting, and most importantly, intriguing. I always compliment my friend when I smell it on her, and it lasts on her all day, leaving a light scent trail that I can smell when I walk behind her. But it's not overly strong, I subconsciously smell it and then when I focus, I realize it's her.

I got myself a sample to try it since she loves it so much, and I'm impressed that she would pick this perfume out of everything else flooding the market - she has good taste to pick a heliotrope forward perfume! This is a milky perfume that is sweet, delicious, but not edible, as the description written by Michael Kors above states. I feel like I smell pear in this, though it is not listed - there is something fruity and slightly tart in here. Perhaps bergamot/pink pepper. The flowers are powdery, purple, and a touch bitter, and they are overlaid by a milky almond/sandalwood accord that is sweet, feminine, and inviting. I can't really pick out the almond individually, but I guess that is what makes the sandalwood so "milky" as the description states that it is almond milk, not almond or almond blossom.

I think this perfume could get overlooked by a lot of people in the fragrance community who might be uninterested in it because of the packaging and advertisements - I thought this would be some kind of fruity tropical perfume. I don't know if they were trying to copy Chloe Nomade with the naming of this perfume? But actually it is comforting, womanly, and perfect as a signature scent.

Arrchv

I smelled it today for the first time. Definitely wonderful, too floral at the beginning, with a powdery drydown. One of my new favorites.
Also I want to mention, it's very similar to Adorisse by Jafra.

Blytheaar

This is a cozy scent with REALLY good longevity. It lingers in clothes for longer than a day and has a comforting quality -good sillage without being overpowering. The dry down is what really has that cozy, warm feeling. I didn’t know how it was marketed until I read the other reviews, but I would say the same - more comfort than adventure. Although I also think it is very office-appropriate too. I tried this as a sample in an ulta perfume sampler, and it is definitely one of the stronger scents in terms of longevity.

faerywren

A coworker who knows I love perfume saved a bunch of fragrance ads she got from Ulta so I could give them a whiff. I immediately loved this one and had to have it. Yes, it's sweet, but more mature than the syrup candy gourmands that are so popular. This is cashmere sweater and creme brulee, date night in front of a roaring fire, in a bottle.

TexasOrangeBlossom

I personally think this one has been inappropriately marketed. To me, it’s more of a chill and snuggle rather than a travel the world scent. I like the color palette of the bottle and advertising, but I see the warmth of a fireplace more than a setting sun when I smell this. I don’t find it exotic or energizing. It’s cozy and warm. Why am I going on and on about that? Well, I feel like the mismatch might be one of the reasons it gets so much hate. I believe the public is mislead by the advertising.
This is the perfect fall/winter scent in locations that don’t have much cool weather. My location can experience 3 seasons every day in winter. That makes some heavier scent difficult to wear except on date nights. This can easily be a year-round signature fragrance. It frequently gets me compliments. I tend to wear this to bed because the dry down is lovely and something I enjoy waking up to. I can still smell it on my pillow from 2 days ago. Ahhhh, lovely!

dwobbit.1

Warm without being overly spicy, sweet and tropical without being cloying. The almond milk note gives it a pleasant milkiness that rounds out the sharper citrusy and floral notes. Feels like I'm going on a glam tropical vacation. I had a complete stranger tell me I "smelled lovely" today at work. This is a gourmand winner!

MonaOMonroe

At first spray, all I smelled was alcohol, but when I rubbed it into my skin, the scent vastly changed, and opened up. It reminded me of a modernized version of a classy 50's scent. It smells powdery, with a very slight sandalwood. Apparently, there's citrus in it, but I don't notice any citrus at all. There's a soft sillage, without any overpowering, and lasts for a few hours. I think this would be best as a daytime autumn scent. I love it, but not enough to replace anything in my current everyday rotation.

clairemedlicott

It's around 20 minutes since first spray and I'm dissapointed. I simply had to try it after noticing the notes which appear in all of my favorites. I'm mainly smelling sharp citrus and have to really 'dig deep' to find any of the almond, heliotrope creamy depth.

OtterMoone

I thought this was really cute and uplifting! I got a sample in the mail and sprayed it on my wrist. I wasn't initially impressed with the first spray, but within a few minutes it dried down and smelled nice. It reminded me a lot of Calvin Klein Euphoria (though it's been a few years since I've tried it, so don't quote me on that). My husband, on the other hand, absolutely loathed it. He said it smells like "Let me talk to your manager" perfume lol. And he usually has similar tastes to me, so it was a bit surprising, but not a big deal, I have plenty of other favorites and can give this sample away. If you like Euphoria, you will probably enjoy this too.

auroramaria

I purchased a big bottle of this scent to wear in the summer but I decided to wear it today and it works even better in cold weather, the chilly breeze brings out the powdery almond and sandalwood so well, it is becoming very cuddly and comforting after about one hour wear,I love it and I think I will repurchase soon

MeanSuga

Sandalwood spiked almond milk where the jasmine blooms immediately, and undeniable.
I was expecting a plastic powdery dolly helitrope, but this is more of a sweeter variety - I do believe that what powdery sweet note the helitrope might carry is blended with citrus to bring a bit of that classic powder citrus vibe.
Cozy, warm , leans towards sensual.
It might be more for someone else .
Is it a stand out on me , for me ? No -
It reminds me - but not exact - of something I already have, or had. Maybe Guess Seductive with a bit of sandalwood, or Jean Athres Love Generation Fashion Victim minus the ginger...? I wish it were nuttier, milkier, smoother. A bit more original.
Longevity is long, projection is medium to heavy.

slynnzeef

Just received a free sample of this one and at first spray I thought to myself "This is terrible!". Well, I was so wrong! I decided to give it another shot this morning, and was not disappointed. It opens up with a sharp Jasmine, almost Gardenia like fragrance. But then quickly turns into a milky sandalwood and cashmere scent that hovers for hours! If you can get past the super floral opening, you'll appreciate the warm dry down. Perfect for sweater weather, and office wear. I think I'll layer this with my Tonka to give it more warmth and depth. Overall I'm glad I gave this a second chance. Just another reason you shouldn't judge by the initial spray. I knew better, I just wasn't patient enough that day.

hernoseknows

This was a semi-blind buy and my first ever MK purchase. I smelled the paper sample of this that came with a catalog in the mail. I knew I had to have it and ordered it without testing it on myself. Straight out of the bottle and upon first spray, the almond milk and jasmine catches my attention. There are slight pink pepper and bergamot notes but I mostly get florals. It dries down to a warm and creamy sweet floral scent, the jasmine really opens up and I can't stop smelling myself! After about an hour or so it becomes a comforting powdery skin scent almost, something vaguely reminiscent of my youth. It seems ever-so-slightly mediocre in some ways, but I've fallen in love with something I can't quite put my finger on with this frag. Other reviewers seem to prefer Angel Muse over this but I'd have to politely disagree. I find that it's also similar to Burberry Brit, though this is creamier, more floral and less spicy. After wearing this for the last week, I'm in love. I feel like this would be appropriate year-round and good for both day and night.

fyetan

Fresh and juicy in the beginning. Like fruity almond.
Lasts about 4 hours total, becoming a skin scent after an hour.
Drydown is heavy floral almond, but heavy in a lush cloying way. Only a winter/fall scent!

Labaloo

I'm sampling the EDP, and the feel of it reminds me of Jasmin Noir- the combo of musk, cashmeran, almonds, heliotrope, and white florals... and I couldn't imagine wearing either of them at anytime except in fall/winter!

Perhaps the EDT is a bit lighter - and is more "daytime"? I'll try that one too, and write a few lines later.

EmHamburg

I love this fragrance, this one and Burberry Brit are just Me. Its scent is so lush, sensual, warm, perfect all year round perfume. A tropical oriental that gratefully settles creamy and nothing synthetic on skin. It brings me the same "luxurious feeling" that Samsara Guerlain used to have. The one Michael Kors perfume I even like.

octobertragedy

This is the only MK fragrance that I own. I think it is quite unique. It definitely has that 90's vibe of intense floral classy biterness.
To me this fragrance seems like Givenchy's Amarige and Dior's Addict (statement fragrances of the 90's) had a little prodigy.
I admit there is a rather unusual blend between jasmine, carnation, heliotrope, benzoin, milky almond and vanilla. Unusual but sooo strong and classy. I simply adore the powdery jasmine notes in this fragrance.
I was in my early teens during the late 90's but this is how fancy stores and my older sister's "fashionista" friend used to smell.
It is a strong fragrance with a lot of individuality imo. I do like it for the emotion that brings me.
Not at all a safe blind buy, not a summery nor gourmand fragrance. Just feminine, warm, bold, intense and powerful.
It is not extremely expensive, but smells luxurious. It is very long wearing, even too long wearing. If you like 90's scents this won't dissapoint.

elledeelee

Like super strong hold hair spray spritzed liberally in a Pin-Up mechanic's garage, the opening is all overwhelming alcohol with a strong note of what I'm pretty sure is engine oil. Later, there are shades of something very 90s and very cheap, like Charlie Red & So.? It dries down with all the subtlety of a screeching barn owl. Truly awful stuff.

UnearthlyApothecary

I really like this, it isn’t very original honestly but it’s very enticing. it smells like something sweet and fruity/floral that I have smelled before but it smells good. Very perfumy, with notes blended to a point where it’s pretty hard to decipher what’s what. I think the strongest note for me is the jasmine. A softly spiced almond/powdery jasmine very unlike the indolic loud variety in other popular jasmine centric perfumes. I think it’s a Juicy scent that it reminds me of. The silage is terrific and I remember always being kinda disappointed in the performance of the Viva la Juicy’s so a FB of this one may be in the future for me. UPDATE: more like a cross between hypnotic poison and viva la juicy, I honestly can’t stop sniffing my wrist. Got a FB.

gardencat13

I bought this a while ago, along with a couple of other perfumes and it kind of got lost in the shuffle, didn't really wear it much.

Today, I picked it up and wore it again and I was pleasantly surprised. A nice almond/heliotrope scent, but with an added slightly spicy kick from the pink pepper and carnation.
It's sweet and powdery, but not in an overwhelming way ( but then I don't mind powdery perfumes so if you do you might find it too powdery for you, best test first).

On me the projection starts moderate and fades down to a skin scent in about an hour or so but my dry skin does tend to eat perfume so YMMV. I'm wearing it in warm weather and it's fine but I wouldn't recommend it for the hottest days.

Overall a pleasant experience and one I think I'll reach for more often in the future.

ETA: Nice bottle too.

Nancy83

I smell strong powdery florals, sweetened almond milk, sour bergamot, spicy pink pepper, then later after 2-3 hours it gets woodier and softer. The sillage is moderate strong and the perfume has a long longevity.

My first wear was a mess, I was overwhelmed because I put too much of it, I think it can get strong easily, but the next wear I dose it better and my experience was more enjoyable.

I got compliments, but the perfume didn't found a sweet spot, I think it's too powdery floral for me. I have a sample, I will finish it and see, but I don't think I will buy a bottle. For an almond sweet fragrance I prefer Prada Candy Gloss and for a similar powdery milky sweet scent I prefer Donna Karan DKNY Stories.

lnoskin

I sprayed this on myself at ulta and loved it! I recently received a decant of this and sprayed it on myself and it did not smell as I remember. It is an extremely powdery perfume and I am extremely sensitive to powdery perfumes. Unfortunately, this is going to have to go straight to my swap list.

robynhood_2000

This is the only Michael Kors scent I own, and it’s arguably the best in his collection. Sophisticated, strong and alluring are the three words that come to mind when I wear this. The almond takes center stage on me, followed by a spicy, woody vibe. I wore this everyday for almost a month. Sillage is moderate and longevity is fair. I spray my clothes as well when wearing Wonderlust. Mediocre performance aside, this smells so good to me that I don’t mind having to respraay after about 4 hours.

chinook

Wonderlust smells like milk and tropical fruit. It’s sweet and tangy, summery but also kind of smotheringly sweet. The notes combination gives off an exotic feeling. It’s really girly and sweet but there’s also a strangeness to it. The projection is close to skin, and longevity is about a few hours.

Holli

Super delightful soapy warm floral. Getting better the longer I wear it. Pretty bottle too! I've been looking for a gentle carnation, and this is perfect!

Floffles

Most almond fragrances are my jam. I had heard so many raving reviews from people about this fragrance that I had really high hopes.

And like most all MK fragrances I have tried, this ended up too mature floral on me. The pepper and sandalwood took the show as well and were called out as ingredients before even looking it up. Almond was a complete loss on my skin :(

Pretty and simple bottle/packaging though...

MadCherryLove

This is very smooth and slightly sweet and spicy. I strongly agree with others who said that this is slightly reminiscent of Dior Addict. Every now and then, my nostrils catch a waft of diluted Addict, to my delight.

Almond milk, heliotrope, and musk are the main notes I get. I thought this would be much heavier, but I was pleasantly surprised at how creamy, yet light this is. I sampled it today and it’s 75 degrees and sunny, didn’t expect it to smell so nice in this weather. I would imagine this smelling just as nice in the fall or winter too. Something I’m really liking about this is that the almond note doesn’t smell like root beer. I’ve had this experience with almond, especially in the warm weather but the almond milk note is very different from almond. It still has that sweet and creamy undertone, but it’s lighter, airier, and easier to wear. The powdery florals and sandalwood really balance the sweetness and creaminess of the almond milk out, which to me, makes it more wearable in the warm weather. The musk starts coming through a little later and not that root beer note. It’s much more delicate and feminine than I expected it would be from the notes. It’s blended really well. Longevity and sillage are decent. Overall, a very versatile scent that I’d highly recommend.

stephanieklein

For those who smell GRAPEFRUIT, you are likely smelling the FRAICHE version. Check your tester bottle to be sure! Because when I tested, I smelled GRAPEFRUIT! Ruby red grapefruit. Seems ideal for summer, if you're looking for something light and zingy.

sassymedusa

This is nice. It smells exactly like Hanae Mori- the creamy almond and warm floral aspect to it is nothing new. It smells good, but I wouldn't shell out for a new bottle when it's nothing particularly interesting or special. It'll be nice to wear on cool evenings when I think the very sweet nature of it will get a little toned down.

burcaktugrul

Very soft, creamy and nice. Not disturbing at all, I think it's great for office. When I smell it I imagine a woman with pale skin and brunette hair wearing some vintage lace dress and kitten heels. Elegant but not cool.
I like it but for special occasions I'd prefer something more interesting.

justfloral

Almond milk + musk / melting plastic. Sweet and musky. Winter scent.

It smells like body lotion or cosmetic cream.

amberbella

I wore this for the first time at work today . I’m a music teacher . I accidentally sprayed on a little bit too much and was worried it might bother the kids . But I kept hearing “wow it smells really good in here” throughout the day . I really like it. I get a lot of the Bergamot and the heliotrope and spice (probably pepper). On my skin I get some lovely milkiness. A nice addition to my collection.

amanda-m-lewis

I recently got a sample of this and was very surprised by it on the 1st testing..It was a hectic morning and it was all I had in my bag and so I sprayed myself in the lift before class and to my surprise, I got this lovely, fresh citrus that I swear was grapefruit and it was so invigorating..

However, it is quite linear and I don't detect the almond or the spices which is a shame but who knows it may change depending on the season. So I'll be interested to try in warmer weather. Which is a big deal for me as I've never liked any of Micheal Kors' fragrances due to weak sillage and longevity but Wanderlust changes all that.

So I beleive it's safe for office or casual wear.

crYEEd

This is rich, lovely, and elegant. IMO it's definitely for winter because of the almond milk smell in it. Unlike vanilla based scents, this is not that sweet but still gives a creamy, warm feeling. The carnation (maybe) makes it smell floral and feminine. I really like this scent.

BKBelle

I like this. However, like most Michael Kors perfumes, it smells lovely but is nondescript. It was a blind buy based on fragrance notes. I'll definitely wear it and enjoy it, but I'll have to layer it with something way more interesting.

schneeblume

My skin seems to be like rona28's: After two hours it is still all bergamot (with pink pepper as sidekick?). But I admit there is powder beneath and the almond milk is detectable.

AllHalliwellsEve

ninaalein: I agree with your comment. To my nose, it reminds me of Dior Addict, it does envoke the same feeling, but not as rich & mesmerizing as the one and only Queen Addict.

ReneeW1

I am usually not a fan of straight florals or oriental florals because of the way certain flowers overwhelm the entire fragrance. Wonderlust is different and I think I like it.

I don't get any citrus at all when I wear it. It isn't overly sweet or creamy on my skin either. There is a lovely powdery mix of heliotrope and sandalwood.

This is a fragrance I think I would prefer to use less of, perhaps just a dab on the wrists, because I don't want to be overwhelmed by the heliotrope. It has an okay scent trail and moderate longevity.

If you are someone like me and you don't normally enjoy florals you may like this one.

I am going to test this one or two more times to see if it falls into the LOVE column.

CaliMember

Wonderlust is a different scent than what I usually go for, but went for it I did. I first sampled it at Macy's during one Christmas season while shopping for gifts. It really stood out among the other scents I tried. I don't get the citrus that some are reporting, but it does smell candy sweet. It's sweeter and "louder" than I like, but I couldn't get it off my mind. I went back a few more times after to try it just to make sure I didn't misremember liking it. I finally broke down and bought a full bottle in a set (it was a better deal). Reading the reviews here, I agree with most of them. It is in the upper range of sweet, nondescript, kind of generic, nothing new or groundbreaking, BUT it is a very pretty, creamy scent and I like it, even if I don't know exactly why.

Edited to Add: It dawned on me today that I love almond-dominant scents. Combine that with the powdery aspect of Wonderlust, then I'm not wondering anymore. Wonderlust belongs in my wardrobe.

This creamy, rich scent is seductive and sensuous on my skin. At first spray I was drawn in by the subtle sweetness of the jasmine, with a delicious gourmand coming through. Michael Kors frags are usually among my favorites, so not surprised I love this one. The richness of almond in top notes really keeps this nice scent from becoming too sweet. It's warm enough to blend with crisp fall weather and more glamorous Holiday gatherings. Love the soft woods in the base that keep the scent anchored and long-lasting. On me, Wonderlust held strong all afternoon and into the evening! Also the body lotion is divine! Love too the soft sexy dry-down on this scent. Overall, a very nice offering from MK and glad to have this one in my collection.

Wonderlust is wonderful! This is by far the best Michael Kors fragrance. A creamy, rich, and spicy blend of almonds, carnation, and heliotrope over a base of sandalwood and benzoin. Feminine, beautiful, exquisite. Love it!

Charming if safe. I imagine this is a fantastic seller for Michael Kors. Has a less bold personality perhaps than my favorite of his newest releases, Sexiest Amber, but will please some of the same people. Both are sensual, non-fruity, fuzzy/musky fragrances with warmth. Has a sweetness but never veers too far gourmand for Oriental lovers. Overall, not a bad release!

People who enjoy Dior Addict or even Hypnotic Poison could happily give this very PRETTY scent a try. Also, I think it will be popular with the men. ;)
