Calinare

It smells like the oil + Lush Flying Fox. The scent resembles 70% of the oil, but less on coconut, more on honey and white/yellow floral. This is very perfumey classic(like Chanel) but the sweet notes are making it modern. I like it.

Enrium

I love the Nuxe Prodigieux oil, having used it on my hair and skin while admiring its distinctive scent for several years. When I discovered that this perfume version, I was excited to smell it, expecting it to be a lovely beachy scent. Unfortunately, it falls flat for me. It resembles the oil somewhat, but is thin and watery with an unfortunate plastic undertone.

PLP is, as expected, a suntan lotion scent. Simple and formulaic, it opens with orange blossom, sweet but flat, not its typical lush, tropical self. Watery magnolia follows, clean and sweet, and coconut emerges after a little while, adding a predictable lactonic tropical edge. However, it feels more like coconut water than the creamy milk/fruit. The pebble note is intriguing, but it comes across as plastic-y to my nose until the drydown, when it becomes mineralic. It fades to a musky skin scent with floral remnants alongside the mineralic notes. It is at its best here, most resembling the oil. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a feminine daytime scent, designed for summer.

PLP is a disappointingly inferior version of the oil, dull and watery with a synthetic undertone. Look elsewhere for a beachy scent, or just stick with the oil, which is lush enough to be worn as a scent. 2/5.

It gave me pronto vibes... I couldn't get use to it unfortunately. Though I have the oil and it is still my favorite, use it for my hair, smells amazing. I'm not sure why the perfume didn't work out for me, I just felt like a furniture after applying it, so I gave it away. The oil is more refined I think.

notfrannie

Whenever we'd travel, my mom would buy a bottle of the oil and the smell would linger in our hotel bathroom. To me, this is summer, it's relaxing, sweet, and coconutty. It's not warm, but it smells /hot/.

Diamandis

Photorealistic Frangipani (Plumeria).

piscopia

It smells just like the oil, I usually wear light, fresh perfumes, but this perfume smells like vanilla, cinnamon and sugar which makes it a perfect fall/winter perfume for me. It strongly reminds me of D&G The One. Sillage is not strong but definitely stronger than the Nuxe Floral.

kinga.s.r.

As a fan of the Nuxe oil, I purchased the perfume. It does smell a lot like an oil, but I am just not sure if it works as a perfume. It is sweet, delicious and attractive, but after using it for a couple of weeks it became a little bit too much. I guess wearing it everyday made me kind of tired of the vanilla notes that are not very sophisticated after all.

claress

Probably, like many others, I got this one because I wanted the smell of the oil as perfume. Sadly, this is unusable for me because of a sharp mineral note that I just cannot stand. Not a safe blind buy even if you love the oil.

ava96

Very white floral heavy in the opening, I don't get anything else.
Even the drydown is quite linear to me.
I get the comparison to Monoi des Vahines, but not to Terracotta. I have a sample of Terracotta now and they are nothing alike to my nose.
For now I dislike it more than like it but maybe it will grow in me.
Edit: nope, it did not grow on me, I sold it.

VioletDr

I get a bubblegummy white floral with that edge that some people thinks smell like playdo. I like it. I’m not a huge vanilla fan normally and I can barely detect it here.

strawbrrymelk

I have the actual oil. It smells like Chanel No5 with coconut to me. Very heavy and perfume-y.

simnonin

I can't believe I'm the only one to compare this scent to nag champa. I tried it from a tester at the pharmacy and all I can think about is yoga! Has the tester gone off? I kinda like it, not gonna lie!

Morgan45

For me, this smells right between Prada La Femme and Vanderbilt, with a little Elie Saab Le Parfum thrown in. Very floral on me and I smell little to no coconut. I find the longevity quite poor, at an hour or two before it becomes a very light skin scent. It's nice enough and I'll use up my 15ml travel spray, but I likely won't repurchase.

blueally

I like the scent of body oil from the same series, but the mineral note in this fragrance overwhelms the rest. 2 sprays on my shirt made me nauseous, and I could almost taste badly refined, cheap vaseline in my mouth. Pass.

annema

It does indeed smells like the famous Nuxe body oil. Where I'm from this is a quite popular product so I know the thing. I used to always have one of these bottle in stock. The perfume is a bit more interesting I'd say. It's has a mineral scent that is not present in the oil. Other than that, it's the same thing. I like it but I'm not wearing it very often to be honest. Smells like vacations under the hot sun somewhere in Europe. Very lady-like.

joikgirl

I have have been using the oil for so many years by this point and now got the perfume too. Reminds me of a tanning salon or a hotel SPA- which this whole line is meant for.

A simple fragrance that smells like coconut for some and white florals for others. I get that creaminess of the two blended together. Perfect for summertime.

ash96

The perfume smells exactly like the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. I usually don't really like coconut but in this particular case it's not too overpowering. It's a simple smell, kind of like the more luxurious/creamier version of a tanning oil/sunscreen. Not a dupe for Guerlain Terracotta but pretty close in my opinion.
Longevity and sillage aren't great but pairing it with the oil makes it a bit better.

Misia Cloudy Lamb

It smells identical to Prodigieux Body Oil that is the most well-known product made by Nuxe. It’s an ultimate, out of the world luxurious SPA olfactory experience for me, period!

MakeupNeverSleeps

This smells really nice over the oil. It adds a little depth and a crispness to balance the vanillic creaminess and slightly nutty tone of the oil. On its own, it's a little peculiar and not as wearable. I think between the rose and the pebble note, there's a dusty, slightly bitter, slightly detergent aspect that stands out. I'm assuming it was designed to work with the oil, because alone...it's a little more abstract.

Update:

I can't get over how well this performs. It lasts and projects and leaves a trail for well over 6 hours. I'm so impressed by how both the oil and this EDP are very high quality for an inexpensive price. And, I've also discovered that this layers quite well over Aerin Lauder's Rose de Grasse body creme, thus bringing out more of the rose while subduing the pebble/mineral note and lightly counter-balancing some of the sweetness of the citrus and orange blossom.

hbd1923

Like bottled summer sun, but wearable during any season. Just like the oil. Love, love, love.

GiulianaC

This is best as a complementary fragrance to wear with the iconic classic version of the Nuxe oil. The oil itself, although listing less notes, has a sweeter, honey-like/warm note to it that makes it more round and pleasurable than this perfume version. Get yourself on of the gift sets with both and get ready for your most hydrating, effortlessly chic skincare routine ever lol
The perfume has a more refined perfume-y undertone to it. It's an all year round scent if you love orange flowers and white shirts worn with jeans( and your hair somehow looks better when messy). When I wore this my boyfriend was in awe because of how good I smelled. Needless to say that made me reach for this even more.
Layer away and bath in this, you won't be disappointed! Great projection and lasting power make this a little gem. Still love the oil more, so make sure to get both!

tiemey

One of my favorites, especially for summer. It smells like a delicate tanning oil to me. Tropical and citrus and warm. A feminine fragrance.

KevinTheCarrot

This is one of the strangest of my recent blind buy additions. At first, I was entirely unsure about it and now I've tried it a few times, I'm much more positive towards it. The notes are definitely more geared towards summer, but the way they're blended don't give me beachy vibes at all. It almost smells a little vintage, without suiting any specific age and mixed with the toy doll scent.

I've owned both the Monoi by Yves Rocher and Terracotta Le Parfum in the past. I can definitely understand why the former has a similarity, but not the latter. Monoi is very warm and summery, but this one doesn't really give me warmth, I'd describe it as the edgy and more unfamiliar elder sister. Terracotta leans more buttery, salted popcorn and became very hard to wear.

Longevity and sillage aren't very good. I can't smell on skin after about 2 hours or on clothes after about 5 hours.

soso.sofia

This is the epitome of a beachy summer holiday fragrance that makes me feel relaxed and happy. I cannot wear it in winter, or not near the beach, it just doesn't work.

BougieGirlShops

If you like Atelier Cologne's Pomelo Paradis and bummed you can't get it anymore in NA, this is the scent for you. Esp. depending on where you live, a much more economical choice as well.

I have been using Atelier Cologne's Pomelo Paradis quite religiously the past 2 yrs, and they are both very similar once dried down, except the AC's pomelo can be loud and acidic before it finally tones down a couple of hours later. Now that AC is not longer sold in North America, this could easily be a satisfactory replacement for me.

Prodigieux is a pretty and calming fragrance. I don't know why but I pick up black tea from this. The three most prominent notes I get are orange blossom, gardenia, and bergomot. But it's not a flower bomb one would expect looking at the pyramid, nor is it screechy at all. The citrus and rose rounds it out, and it's such a smooth well blended scent. I also pick up ylang ylang; and I don't know what pebbles smell like but if it lends a cool watery note then that's what it is.

As a citrus/orange lover in fragrances, I find this toes the line just perfectly from tumbling over to citrus overboard, like if the flowers were pulling it back from the ledge.

I think it's an inoffensive scent good in crowds or work, but there's something different enough about it that it still stands out and stop people in its tracks with a je ne sais quoi. That's a hard combination to achieve.

BG92

I am not a fan of floral scents however this is just amazing - like a warm hug, nothing in this frangrance bothers me (this always happens when I use floral frangrance).
Despite it is light floral fragrance, it somehow feels luxurious. Soothing.

Prochainescent

I love the scent of their huile prodigieuse dry oil, but sadly the fragrance does not smell the same. Maybe if you like the coconut note, you will love it.

Sarah Materna

The summer atmosphere of the seaside of the French Mediterranean coast.
Same perfume that "Huile Profigieuse" created in 1991.
Thank you Nuxe !

L'ambiance estivale du bord de mer de la côte méditerranéenne française.
Même parfum que "l'Huile Prodigieuse" crée en 1991.
Merci Nuxe !

Anabee

I‘m surprised D&G The One isn’t listed in the “reminds me of” section. These two smell very much alike. Idk what came first, I assume Nuxe..
Since D&Gs The One is from 2016 or 2018.
If you like The One, you’ll like this one as well. It’s a milder, creamier version and less intense.
You could wear Nuxe easily as a bedroom scent right after a bath. It smells natural, slightly aromatic and luxurious. Very comforting, everyday smell. I love it.

RegalKitten

I got the dry oil and the perfume in the same gift set and I had no idea what to expect from either one, but I have to say it was a good blind buy. The perfume is very similar to the smell of the oil. In the beginning I wasn't sure of it as I was only getting a rather unsweet white floral smell, but after a while the perfume sweetened on my skin and the white florals were softened so I really enjoyed wearing it. I seem to like it more and more every time I sniff the bottle.

I'm not sure I consider this an exclusively summer fragrance, it's certainly suitable for spring too at least, but I'll update that as I wear it more.

This is quite an elegant and timeless scent. I don't see a teenager wearing this but apart from that I consider it ageless.

By the way, I disliked Bronze Goddess, which to me was very perfumey and I was confused as to why it's considered a classic summer scent. I also didn't like Beach Walk by Maison Margiela at all. Just putting that out there in case that might help you decide if you're likely to agree or disagree with my review of this one :)

Dcarlo

Prodigieux is a delightful and cheerful fragrance.
It has a low projection and medium silage but it smells like a perfectly adorable and joyful summer weekend.
I feel the gorgeous magnolias most than any other flower, but some roses and gardenia are playing in the background. Coconut is very creamy and subtle, don’t expect a macaroon. And the mineral note makes it remind you of the sand at the beach.
If you are looking for a carefree yet chic and beautiful summertime fragrance at a great price look no further!

BerryRose

I've never been to France, but I'm definitely a francophile, so as I work to improve my French and save for a Parisian holiday I enjoy exploring whatever French pharmacy brands I can get a hold of. I love Nuxe oil and use it as a body oil and on the ends of my hair. Since I already love the smell I thought this would be a perfect "cheap and cheerful" summer scent. In other words, something relatively inexpensive that makes you smile, and you don't worry about losing or breaking if you take it on holiday or throw it in your handbag.

As other reviewers have noted, this doesn't smell exactly like Nuxe oil because of the added mineral note. To me this actually smells a little richer, and has a little more depth, yet I don't think the scent lasts as long as the oil. The overall impression is a sensual, summery, warm fragrance but for some reason I just don't experience the same joy wearing it as I do when I apply Nuxe oil after I step out of the shower. The bottle is lovely and it would make a lovely gift for someone who loves Nuxe. But for myself I definitely won't repurchase, if I want to wear a summery, white floral fragrance I'll stick with Bronze Goddess (in the skin scent/eau fraiche formula).

SophieGlnd

It smells like the dry oil from the same brand with an added mineral note (I guess it's the pebble note). I see some reviewers describe it as gasoline/rubber note, I agree it's a bit harsh when you first apply it but it dissipates quickly in my case.
Nice summery scent; white florals, citruses and coconut, but classier than your usual monoï/coconut scents I would say. The longevity is rather weak on me, I can barely smell it after a couple of hours. I prefer the dry oil, I got this 15ml bottle in a gift set.

Matheya

Very nice and cozy type of scent ! It's warm, hugging and calming ! Suntan lotion-y for sure !
It reminds me of H&M Sunray ! It smells like the oil and the candle of course ! But it's not long lasting and it doesn't have a punch so I don't consider it a Parfume.
I spray it on myself , my pillow - it's one of those bedtime suitable ! I love it !

EmmiJulia

It has good vibes in it, but all of them are ruined by the weird smell of rubber and gasoline. Disappointed, don't recommend.

LadyM

Although I am not a fan of Nuxe oil, I must say Prodigieux Le Parfum is a very nice surprise. Nicely pleasant, identical to the smell of Nuxe oil, and an alternative to Guerlain Terracotta if you are searching for something lighter. I would prefer this during summer, but there is no harm in wearing it during the whole year. The longevity and silage could be slightly better, but if you don´t want a headache for yourself or others, this might be a choice. However, I don´t recommend the blind buy.

Nosyla

I wear this on holiday or summer evenings as it compliments all the holiday smells of sunned skin and spf. The body oil is fabulous in this fragrance too.

Melly88

I received a sample of this and to my surprise, I hated it. It’s was a “hell no” moment at first sniff and went directly into the garbage. I’m not a huge fan of floral fragrances, but I do like them if the floral note sits at the back of the fragrance rather than being the star of the show. I was expecting a beachy, hot skin, expensive sun lotion/oil vibe but this made me think of a musk scented powder sprinkled on a bouquet of yellow flowers, and not the fresh picked kind. I really wanted to like this because I like the price!

chakukan

I also bought this as an alternative to Guerlain's Terracotta as another reviewer mentioned and im very pleased with the results! the dry down is the same! love love love

libertinesupreme

I'm well-acquainted with white florals, so I was worried this would just be like all those other generic white florals out there - but there's something about Prodigieux. Yes, it's that classic white floral accord, but there's just a little something that elevates it - a twist of tropical coconut, a stronger than usual whiff of gardenia.

It's not groundbreaking, but it's gorgeously comforting and a feel-good summer scent.

croissant_pari

Prodigieux le parfum Nuxe: This aroma has me transfixed. Totally and utterly mesmerized by it. I believe the oily and lactonic elements in here play a huge role and this is what makes it distinctive among other white floral scents. A combination of floral essential oils and coconut milk. Soothing. Summer in a bottle. Golden. Unfortunately, it lacks longevity. Great bed scent!

JuBoBoley

I bought this as an alternative to Guerlain's Terracotta, and I'm very pleased with the scent. For me the florals were always prominent in Terracotta, and they are in this as well. Both these scents aren't ones I'd consider sunscreen scents but rather scents that smell great with sunscreen. On a beach day, scents like Beach Walk and Soleil Blanc always disappoint me with their presence because they essentially blend in with the smell of the sunscreen I'm already wearing. Those florals are what I need to elevate the fragrance to something special. I'm looking forward to keeping this in my beach bag/pool bag, and not spending over $100 to repurchase Terracotta!

melusina1982

It is definitely tropical with a french twist.Everyday summer elegance. As good as the oil but with an underlying mineral touch, like when you smell a hot stone.
It seems fleeting but if you layer with the oil you'll get soft wafts all day.
Although I think it is a great summer fragrance I prefer to use it in the colder months when I want to just chill or after a home spa day.

Anamandy

I received the dry oil as one of my Christmas gifts this year. I've never even heard of this brand before, so it was never on my radar. It's nice for what it is, which is a soft tropical floral fragrance. Projection is very low, but that's because it is a dry oil and not meant as a full-on fragrance. They recommend using this product all over, even on your face. Honestly, I would never put a heavily scented product on my face, but that's just me. It did absorb quickly into other parts of my body, leaving my skin nice and soft, and might work nice run through hair too.
Anyway, back to the fragrance. I don't smell half the notes listed, and certainly no coconut, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. They are just so beautifully blended into a lovely tropical scent that in many ways reminds me of a lighter Guerlain Terracotta. Like that scent it is also has the same creamy feel and light sweetness running underneath rounding the composition out. It occurred to me while wearing it that this might be a nice accompaniment to that scent since they are so similar.
Overall, I think this dry oil is really intended to be used in hot weather, like a day after the beach on sun warmed skin. I imagine it would project better than the skin scent it is right now, probably at the same level as some of the Guerlain Aqua series. But, while I like the fragrance it really doesn't wow me, though I think it will be nice when you don't want to wear any particular scent, but still want to smell clean, fresh, and a little tropical. Beyond that, I don't have any interest in trying out the perfume.

antoniov

It's a nice scent, I wouldn't say it's only for summer as it can get a bit heavy on me. It definitely leaves a nice trail and it smells like all the Nuxeproducts. This means it can be recognisable and many know it so not so sure if it can be an exciting signature smell...I wear it when I want something luxe, nice but not too complicated...

Agnesca

Oh, this must be one of the most unpleasant fargrances in my life..... no offence, of course. But it is just way old fashioned on me without the vintage class and quality, sorry:( Heavy, dense, oily white flowers rather similar to those in White Shoulders that a lot of people love but I can't stand either. Certainly, this fragrance has different notes altogether.... but the overwhelming effect is the same on my skin. I hope other people can wear it with great success, i just don't, sorry....

scnofthcrime

As other reviewers say, this is the same scent as the oil (which is now hard to find in the US sadly) The scent of this is tropical white florals with a sweet coconut-musk base. This is like a luxe vacation with white sand beaches. This can easily become overwhelming if you spray too much, I find that one or two sprays is sufficient for me.

nordic.girl

This perfume is extremely similar to the body oil. When I wear the oil itself, I get compliments from men, as it really smells like a summer day at the beach, like suntan lotion, as many have already said. I love the body oil. The perfume, though, is only a like for me.

I feel that while the oil is creamy, the perfume is a little (too) powdery, so it loses a bit of the creamy feel that the oil has. I still wear it often, particularly during the summer, it's a good dumb grab for a sunny day out, or a summer night. It's not offensive at all, but with decent lasting power, so overall a good perfume.

Just worthy of notice that while the body oil got me compliments, the perfume never did.

TabledThoughts

This is an upscale resort
suntan lotion scent.
Loads of orange blossom and mandarin, smooth coconut milk and warm sand all richly blended with the floral adds, particularly gardenia.

Beautiful and Exotic!

Mangaetteok

The oil is beautiful, lovely scent - but this just isn't the same - it's similar but it's a little screechy, to my nose, at first - has a slightly 'dusty' quality to it - at first - then it's better & is quite smooth, 10 mins in - & gets more complex as it goes. The gardenia is the strongest note to me; & I find it a little bit 'traditional' - the coconut & vanilla aren't v prominent at all - & that was what I was looking for - beachy etc - this is a bit beach-y - but beachy more in the Guerlain Terracotta way - this one I think is better than that, now I've tested it properly. The pebble accord is good, certainly. I barely get any coconut though - if ppl are saying it's 'similar' to TF Eau de Soleil Blanc, I don't find that - maybe a slight similarity to TF SB edp - but more in style, not a coconutty/pistachio similarity.

I think for me, this is not my thing bc of the gardenia accord - love magnolia, really love magnolia - & love Kate Spade 'Live Colourfully' - which is the beachy pfme I prefer, (even prefer over the 2 btls of TF EDSB I got this summer, but I just didng take to this bc of the gardenia - as I just couldn't see myself wearing Narciso white cube - they are just not for me - although both pfmes are v good pfnes - if you like gardenia, you will prob rly like this, maybe even love this - am aware it's my preferences that are at fault here; am not saying it's a particularly bad pfme. Both this & a large btl of Narciso white cube are on my swap list - p.m if you want to swap anything you hv that doesn't suit you; I actually do hv v eclectic tastes - am just not good with patchouli, oud, & certain floral - gardenia always stands out to me, & espc, on me.

The oil has a lovely - & slightly lingering scent, - & if you are at home, using that all over is enough for the evening (although I always feel 'naked without perfume; as if I've 'forgotten' something) - but this just doesn't work for me, no point in me spraying it more, I've realised gardenia just isn't for me - am not a floral fan at all mostly - although like magnolia (go figure,) & that Kate Spade pfme is v similar (but nicer, to me - still not particularly 'modern' but the mids & base are slightly more my thing) I enjoy that actually more than the TF EDSB - the coconut & vanilla in KS LC are gorgeous, but in a less 'modern' way, the magnolia takes precedence over them - & I was looking for summery pfmes when I bought this - & that's what I get with KS LC.

Am surprised by the amount of influences who recommend this Nuxe Le Parfum, I don't see any of them really wearing it, tbh - maybe Mila, bc she likes these kind of more complex & slightly heavier pfmes - but make no mistake - this is a gardenia & ylang-ylang scent, maybe some frangipani, but with the other notes pretty much overpowered by the gardenia (I wouldn't be surprised if there was a tiny touch of oakmoss, in here - in fact am sure of it; I'm not horrified by oakmoss, used well; I love Chanel Cristalle edt, ofc,) - to me this has one of those quite complex bases, that used to be nothing unusual, in the early 90's - but which apparently seem unpalatable to many ppl born this century.. (Am not that much of a dinosaur yet, ofc.. laughs in non-snowflake. )

& it has some ylang-ylang ylang, & a little frangipani - but it doesn't hv the modernity the TF has - but ofc, it depends on your taste; ladies who love certain gardenia forward florals & those kind of very early 90's style perfumes - many of which still sell well, will probably love this- the lasting power is pretty good - & it is something that 'transports' - you could wear it to the office, I suppose, it isn't that out there - like some 'sunscreen-esque- holiday perfumes - but it is something that has a 'vacation vibe.'

For the price, & if you like gardenia accords, mixed with beachy & fir some lactonic/almost + coconut, then it's pretty good - & there's nothing cheap smelling about it either; which matters to me v much - this pfme is excellent quality; I think the oil having such a delicate, almost slightly spicy scent - it really works for me, in that way - but in a pfme, it's noticeably gardenia-forward (I didn't think it woildd be so much, bc the oil has such a distinctive, even iconic scent - but that's just my taste - & I know for a fact, that Gardenia amps on my skin, a lot, a lots, so am v jealous of the many here who ger creamy coconut& beach-y gorgeousness.)

This is the 100ml, I think - if anybody wants to swap; I always hv a load of bottles for swaps - bb's in pandemic restrictions got a bit silly, there were so many I wanted to try, & no testers available - so do let me know if you like this, & would like to swap. Guerlain Terracotta has a similar vibe - that's not my jam either - it may be that my skin amps up the gardenia/ylang-ylang - but it's almost the same accord as in the Narciso white cube (I mistakenly ordered that, not the poudree, & ofc has ti order that as well - the poudree is what I wanted - whereas many Fragranticas love the white cube & find the Poudree 'lacking' - those ladies I think will love Nuxe Le Parfum - & it is an elegant pfme, as Narciso white cube is - even though this is meant to be beachy, to me, its in that vein - less musk though ofc.

Obv it's pandemic & hv had to change how I do my job for now, but I know many ladies I usually see during the course of my work, would love this - it really reminds me of some pfmes I hv smelled on others. I myself was a child in the 80s - & those pfmes from that time are not a shock to me (I even wear some of them, & love someof them,) - this has something that to me, is similar to them - it has that feel - it wdnt hv surprised me, if one of the design houses like Givemchy, or Balmain, had put this out - am at pains to say, its not a bad pfme; like a few I tried during this summer (!) - & I get no gasoline note or anything, there's a slight "animalic' hint, but it is, a hint - the bad reviews may in some part be from ppl born after say, 98/99 - who grew up with 'minimalist' pfmes, stripped back but not weak pfmes - & those to whom a candy sweet vanille base, is almost a pre requisite - this, however has a more complex, &;well crafted mids & base, it is less simplistic - a 'proper perfume' some would say - well crafted & v well done - IF this was put in a niche bottle with even more lasting power & a huge price tag, the reviews would be better maybe - if I found this in a Bond No.9 bottle, I wouldn't hv been surprised, & doubtless it would hv been a huge hit for them - but as it is - many ppl my age & older will enjoy this (quality to price ratio is brilliant) & I think a lot of ppl (my age & older) will appreciate it far more, than the ppl who wrote a less than glowing review - who maybe should hv prefaced their reviews with "Oops - not my thing! - hope most ppl aren't put off, bc I think Nuxe did a good job - the opening is just a little dusty, but once it settles you see how good it is.

Still love the Nuxe dry oil - gorgeous, gorgeous; I love Nuxe - French Pharmacy Everything, at it's best. I stock up whenever am in Paris & need a break from le bureau/l'office

Approximately 10 years ago I bought a bottle of Dry Oil D'or of Nuxe and used it happily for a while....but then its scent disturbed me and so the rest of the bottle waited on the shelf for years... This summer I decided to reuse the oil since it gives a great shimmer on tanned skin and although 10 years passed the oil and the scent remained the same :)))) I think that shows the good quality of Nuxe products.

This summer, in addition to dry oil, I bought one jar of Nuxe Melting Honey Body Oil Balm which I think is so much better than the huile itself and good smelling and comforting. And that's the moment where my search for the scent itself began. I don't pretty much like the scent of dry oil itself but the scent of the balm is mesmerizing...it not only relaxes but has a vibe which makes you want to smell it more and more. That smell happens to be a part of you...

Now I read the reviews and I hope the perfume is similar to balm but not the oil... Mostly affected by the review of Andrina72, I ordered fb of 50 ml and I will edit when I try the perfume...

EDIT September 2021: My perfume has arrived and I have started using it. It is really nice and worth FB purchase but in a week or later I wanted to try something else. Maybe that'a all about craving for new fragrances I think that is a kind of addiction... I have also bought a bottle of Huile Prodigieux and it is really really fresh and nice. Now I think there was no need to buy the perfume but all the investment could be done on huile itself :D

Andrina72

On one hand, I understand the comparisons to Soleil Blanc, Terracotta, etc... - on the other hand there's definitely something that makes Prodigieux Le Parfum (PLP) stand out from that crowd. For me, PLP is about 7x more sexy than the others. There's something animalic and almost "dirty" about it... in a great way. It smells like sweaty sex, while wearing suntan lotion, on a bed of of white flowers.
While the others are definitely beachy, summertime, beauties, PLP is warm & deep enough for all-year-round wear.
Due to the animalic quality it has, I don't think PLP is a safe blind-buy - I can see how some people might be turned off by it. However, if you're looking for something in the realm of "sexy AF suntan lotion".. PLP is definitely worth checking out.

Edited to add that silage is moderate, but longevity is amazing. If I wear it at night, I can still smell it on my wrists the next morning.

kkaattjjeess

My problem with Prodigieux le Parfum is there's so many summery beachy scents that are nicer than this one (even in similar price ranges, I don't mean Soleil Blanc and whoever), the most similar one (but better than this) IMO is Terracotta le Parfum by Guerlain, this Nuxe one has a screechy sharp floral smell to it that just doesn't sit well with me, Terracotta is smooth, well balanced and blended whereas this isn't.

Olliette

It doesn’t smell anything like the oil :( I was looking for something that smells like that but this is not it.

Dani C.

Lovely tropical scent. I have Soleil Blanc by TF and to my nose, they are in the same ballpark, although the gardenia note here is more prominent followed by Magnolia. Same vibe as Guerlain Terracota as well. Longevity is poor but if you layer it on top of Prodigieux oil you will be good for at least 5 hours. Good option if you are on a budget and want to smell summery and delicious 😊

I never used the oil but this fragrance is lovely.
Smells like a luxe beach resort to me. I don’t get an gasoline, oil or pebbles, just orange blossom, gardenia, maybe very expensive suntan lotion with the coconut. Will be a summer staple.

Vesi_

Smells like an expensive SPA resort to me.

Ellsa

I always have a bottle of nuxe oil since I read that Charlize Theron Use Dry oil Huile prodigieuse so I bought it and feel In inlove with the smell( which is actually better than the benefits of the oil).Than i wanted a perfume to smell like this oil and I found this. It smells exactly like the oil. The longevity and projection are not better or less than most of the perfumes this days.

Ensconce-in-Bloom

Prodigieux Le Parfum Nuxe is more than a like. It is not a love for me, but I would surely miss it if it were not in my life. On my skin, the orange blossom projects the most balance by floral notes although rose is almost imperceptible. The coconuts and vanilla notes lends creaminess to the citrus note without making smell like a creamsicle. I love creamsicles just don’t enjoy smelling like one. It is a safe blind buy. I think this could a metrosexual scent. This is a must have in my collection. Unfortunately since Aliza Jabès is no longer the owner of Nuxe, I fear Le Parfum is going through a transition and quality may be compromised. Get them while you can if this sounds like your type of scent.

Mischa.ela

This smells EXACTLY like the oil 😍 it's lovely.

Hanoian

I definitely get the gasoline note, it’s harsh and screechy, really not a pleasant fragrance at all and a really poorly composed white floral.

Anyavanilla

It’s a beautiful scent . Smells like spring in a bottle with the orange blossom and the vanilla combined . I also find a nice nutty, almost almond bottom note which ties it off beautifully . When trying to imagine this scent , think a walk in mid April with the sun shining above you and a praline ice cream in your hand . Perfect for everyday wear

LLL3

I put off wearing this one regularly for while. But now that I've finished the bottle, I have no idea why. While wearing it, I found it comforting in a strange way. The scent for me was straight Mediterranean Sea side, sand on the beach, warm sun. Lots of coconut and woodsy notes for me. Luxurious and warm, with just enough of something strange to keep it interesting. Pebbles?

CypressSnow

Top notes in this are like Poeme plus gasoline accord.
Projects strong for an hour or two, then becomes skin scent.
There's a woody note in the drydown.
If you know something that smells the same but without gasoline and synthetic vanilla, please let me know.

astrakan

This is summer in a bottle! It smells just like the oil in my opinion. Someone mentioned furniture polish, but I get no furniture polish at all. Hopefully no one around me does either!

I don't know if it's the power of suggestion or what but I think I can smell the "pebbles" note. But it is mainly "summery" florals and a oily coconut. Lovely!

Liz-frag

This perfume is the signature of my mother and she is a beautiful, tall ,slim , sharp , dark skin Mediterranean goddess . This is the smell of this perfume ; sun , tan and natural beauty .
I picture her in south of France serving tomato mozzarella in a brown flowy gown with this scent on .
However I guess I really like this scent because it’s my mom’s one but I would not buy it for myself now I finished her bottle and left home ;)

PistachioK

I love the nuxe body oil but the edp smells like furniture polish! It puts me off wearing it because nobody wants to walk around smelling like cheap furniture polish. Although the edp does smell the same as the oil I dont get the furniture polish vibe from the body oil, it must be to do with how the oil warms on the skin. Was very disappointed with this purchase.

jazzfan

People buy Nuxe products because they smell good.
Especially compared to all the other stuff in pharmacy. They really stand out. To be honest, that is the main reason why I use them. Having exceptionally difficult skin, my choices are limited and most of them certainly don't make me feel pampered. Nuxe provides the possibility to jazz things up.
Huile Prodigieuse has become a legend because it's good and the smell is addictive. But it doesn't last long. Therefore, Prodigieux Le Parfum. It's an interpretation, the variation of the theme and it compliments Huile beautifully. Standing on its own it's not particularly accomplished, just pleasant and comfortable. It also has the traditional perfume structure, something the Huile and Absolu don't or need. The opening is bright with citrus, the middle flowery and the dry down balsamic vanilla with a touch of coconut.
While Absolu behaves like a continuation, Le Parfum is a brighter compliment.
For a Huile addict they make perfect sense, but for a perfume enthusiast in search of sun tan inspired perfume they are probably too simple, understated and cosmetic.

LawmaLlama

I adore this scent, but feel the notes are misrepresented on this site. I own and wear the dry oil by Nuxe and this fragrance is an accurate representation of the scent of the oil. Smells like toasted almond, hazelnut, and a slightly sweet macadamia. To me, there is no citrus, floral, vanilla, or coconut. Not sure why people are getting that. From the bottle the edp may not smell quite right, but spray on the skin and it is perfection. You will feel like a sophisticated French lady wearing this. I highly recommend picking up the oil before smelling the edp! It is perfect for layering with the oil.

arapp95

Love love love! I have used the Nuxe body oil since I lived in France years ago. The smell is super nostalgic for me. It's this delicious creamy floral with a touch of coconut that feels really yummy but fresh. It's not too sugary or cloying at all, especially in oil form. It makes me feel luxurious like I have a beautiful tan and I'm lounging on a yacht somewhere on crystal clear water. This perfume is almost exactly the same scent of the oil and it brings back so many memories for me. I find the perfume to be a little bit sweeter than the oil but it's that same mix of flowers and sweet creamy coconut that are DIVINE in the heat. You can't find this in the states so I had a friend travelling through Europe bring me a backup oil and he managed to find this perfume. Now I only wish I had asked him to buy me two bottles because I have no idea when I'll be able to travel to Europe to get myself another!

bintTapputi

I think it's interesting to mix aquatic vibes with tropical vibes, intuitively it makes sense... I think it's nice. It has a nice dry down. But it does, on my skin, smell kind of like a room air freshener which generally I want to avoid in a perfume. 5.5/10

Austrian_in_Denmark

Like many people living in Northern countries, I am obsessed with sunny, tropical places: jungles, mangroves, beaches. Especially beaches.

Perfumes like Prodigieux scratch this exact itch. This smells so happy and carefree to me - which might stem from the fact that I have only ever vacationed, but never worked in a tropical country ;-)

I first tried some Nuxe products when visiting a friend who lives in Southern Europe (but not close to any beach!). Also, she is Nuxe's number one fan, as you will not need no Miss Marple to reveal to you, once you've seen her bathroom.

After this intense encounter with the Nuxe line, I tried the perfume, too. Beautiful!
I get the coconut, the gardenia and the orange blossoms, but not the vanilla. The smell of pebbles (which I translate to the smell of chalk) is strong on me, and it is cooling and wonderful, and also rather surprising.

Perfairy999

I love this perfume! Perfect for a walk to the beach. In my mind i picture a woman in a maxi white flowy dress and
beach-wavy hair. It is the perfect perfume to take with you for your summer vacations.

Allisonmsmith22

They should have named this heady gardenia. That is all this is. A major failed blind buy for me.

queenofhellfire666

Wearing this right now, writing my 1st ever review on here. I am a perfume collector and lover, I would consider this a middle of the road scent. It is beautiful and intoxicating, lasts well, but there is nothing too different about it. It is blended well and is very unoffensive. Im on my 2nd bottle, a definite keeper.

LaChinoiserie

Nuxe oil (Huile Prodigeuse) is one of my favourite scents ever - however the smell only lingers on my skin for an hour max.

So I bought this perfume hoping for more longevity. It is nice layering the perfume over the oil but I must say the perfume isn't terribly long-lasting either and it doesn't smell as wonderful as the oil.

Having said that I do enjoy it and I love layering it with Mandorlo di Sicilia by Acqua di Parma on an everyday basis basically all year long.

Nuxe is a great French pharmacy brand.

Anast4s1a

The scent of summer sun, this is the fragrance-resort.
It smells of the legendary "golden oil" - Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, which i personally just adore as and entire line for body by Nuxe. This is smells expensive and i like it. A wonderful aroma of the wonderful oil, because it is so translated from the French "prodigieuse ".Only the fragrance sounds deeper & intense. The scent is very tender, bodily and sunny with a refreshing notes of bergamot, tangerine and orange blossom. In the heart of the fragrance gardenia, magnolia, coconut milk and sea pebbles that make him alluring and at the same time incredibly gentle.
The scent persists on my skin for about 5 hours and gradually dissipates into a languid haze. So great!

ejtristan

So, the scent of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (the skincare ) is one of my all-time favourite scents (like a warm sandy beach), but this perfume version misses the mark. It's stuffy. It's as if you were warmed on the beach, but then joined your elderly aunt in her mildewy cottage where there's nothing to do but play scrabble. So your skin is still sun-kissed, and the sea breeze is coming through the screen door. But you're now just waiting in a dusty living room.

ViouAmara

Quite strange, I like it, I enjoy all the notes, but it screams oily.
And this oily feeling disturbs me, even if the meaning is to be like a suntan oil.

Bubbles1964

Prodigieux’s opening features an underlying petroleum smell — maybe that’s what the perfumer is trying to pass off as “pebbles”? — and it takes awhile before it dissipates. The drydown is a melding of white flowers, coconut, a synthetic vanilla... but it’s nothing to wax poetic about. I don’t hate it. I would classify this as mediocre.

There are much nicer and more interesting tropicals in my collection, although not a note match up, they are summer beach scents: Guerlain’s Terracotta, Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc and Annick Goutal’s Songes to name a few.

No surprise, this blind buy was not a success for me. Luckily it was rather cheap at $22 on fragrancenet, so I will either pass it on or trade it.

LondonJean

Sun and summer but in a white floral, mature and grown up kinda way rather than teenage tropical. Citrus and coconut never takes over. Can swear I smell tuberose, but I guess it’s the gardenia and rose combined. Those who gave this a bad review, what made you think the concept would appeal to you in the first place reading the notes...? I feel this is a scent concept you either like or not, and this stays very true to its concept. For me it’s a winner. Longevity could be a bit better though.

PS: I find this also works in fall and winter to remember the warmth of brighter days. ;)

AlexaRSandrina

It smells like huile prodigiouse or

Rinio

Completely agree with JC2109!

B!tchBrisket

As usual, every Nuxe perfume I've smelt has reminded me of sunscreen with some florals thrown in. This is no exception. But I don't hate it at all. It smells wonderfully of summer and is great to wear all year round for a sunshiny lift. It lasts for a couple of hours. It's nothing special but it's certainly pleasant

i am joan

I have always loved the smell of the Nuxe dry oil, so when I saw this EDP, it was a must-buy. And I am not disappointed. The scent is almost exactly like the oil. Nothing complicated, it smells like summer. It has something powdery to it, the presence of citrus nicely balances out the vanilla and coconut.

On me it's a skin scent, which is so sad because I'd love for people to pick it up easily. It evaporates quickly, after a couple of hours there is just a faint hint left. Fortunately it comes in a 50 ml handy bottle so it's easy to carry around and spray every couple of hours.

Best for hot weather months. The heat seems to bring out the best of it.

CrunchieNut

I blind-bought this last year, for the life of me I really can't remember why! After one spray I was so disappointed, to me it smelt only of monoi oil, bringing back memories of garlands of scented jasmine flowers being sold on the sidewalk, which I absolutely hated as a young girl. So I put it away thinking, who can I give this to...
Last night it snowed, and I looked outside and saw the tall beech trees covered in snow, glowing hazily in the early morning light.
I decided to give this perfume another try. Again, the monoi oil dominated. After a while I could smell the rose, the gardenia and coconut had settled down. Later on I smelled something smoky and burnt, perhaps the pebbles?
To me this is a winter scent, it is warm, cosy and enveloping. Too heavy for summer.
Sweet and smoky. I'm glad I didn't give it away.

Rinio

Bottle is almost empty and I only now come to appreciate this beautiful simplistic scent I was sometimes wasting as room spray:( For me it is a simple, sensual, clean and feminine perfume whose "easy-going ness" seems appealing to most people. Non offensive and safe but sexy and different in the same time.

tessture

I dunno what pebbles are supposed to smell like but there is a note first on that reminds me of printers’ ink. That fades off pretty quick and leaves a nice orange blossom cologne scent, with bolstering citrus and white florals. It’s really pretty, a sweet floral, sweet from flowers and not from sugary vanilla. I’m not an orange blossom fan, and this is too much of orange blossom, but otherwise, it’s very pretty, with a nice body.

Barbarajg

This just smell like perfect beach to me. Luminous, creamy and warm, yet light enough for super sunny summers day. Gorgeous.

suspiros

the quintessential summer beach scent! smells just like the oil... primarily orange blossom, tropical but not cloying. if the opening is a bit sharp it mellows out fairly quickly. in my experience it lasts for hours while the dry oil and shower oil scent dissipates quite quickly.

side note: for those of you who enjoy the oil, bastide's huile épatante is worth a try -- i even prefer it!

GardenDays

Very special perfume. You definitely have to try it on for a least an hour and a half before you decide to buy it. Or not. Silly enough, I bought it online after reading many good reviews, since I am a big fan of the Nuxe brand and their crèmes and lotons. I don't doubt that the scent is very professionally created and blended, and that it's the perfect summer choice for many perfume lovers. But on me it was an hour of coconut sunscreen and then an eternity of even more coconut, now mixed with synthetic vanilla and some hothouse flowers, beginning to decay. I'll enjoy their excellent crèmes and give the perfume away. Lesson: Never buy a perfume you haven't tried on. Good reviews or not. // Update: My bottle found new home with my friend's sister in law! Makes me happy! It's so sad when a good perfume just stands on a shelf unused and unloved.

justchillinxo

To me, this smells like a much better and less synthetic version of sun do gioio

pinkalpaca

I have the shower oil and body lotion from this range and there is really no need for the actual perfume after using them. The scent is strong and lasting. It has a very special scent, elegant and classy, maybe a tad bitter? There is something mesmerizing about it, something that attracts me and makes me feel nostalgic, it makes me think of summer. It has acquired a special place in my heart.
Edit - only after submitting my comment did I read the others and saw that other people feel the same way about this fragrance. This is quite fascinating!

yasmin.mochtar

Balmy elegance and luxury. It smells like another era but I do appreciate it. Smells like the oil. However if worn on a 30'C+ days, I fear that it'll smell too sweaty and balmy.

diluted paintbox

This is how my summer smells like.
But I can only wear it in summer. Sometimes I smell it during the winter and I could cry, because it has something nostalgic. It smells kinda 90s to me. Heartbreaking.

boannika

I've never tried or smelled the oil, but I like this, although I was a bit surprised. If you're expecting a sweet, kinda tropical coconut-vanilla combo, forget it! It's basically a sharp floral with a sweet-ish light vanilla base, I smell alot of magnolia and gardenia in this, it's very overpowering the first 15 minutes or so, so it's best to spray it 15 min before leaving the house, after that it settles down.To me, this is a fairly good example of perfect sillage and longevity ( I get that very, very rarely on my weird, dry skin)- I don't bother anyone with this, but I can smell it almost all day on myself, just how I like it. Absolutely perfect for colder weather too, maybe even better than in the summer. You have to be fan of florals to like this, and luckily, that I am.

raiza1990

This was a successful blind buy for me! I love the oil, so i had to have this! It smells almost the same, but the fragrance is more elegant. It smells a bit sharp, but it is luminous and opulent. It is possible to wear it on winter and at night without problems. It is very oily and has a metallic smell to it, but very faint.
It is very well blended and sensual. Think of a budget version of Orchid Soleil from Tom Ford, but less sweet and not so expensive smelling.
Sillage is close to the skin, making it a intimate fragrance.
I still prefer the oil over this, but i am happy to have it in my collection. The bottle is also really pretty in live. Simple but well made, like the perfume.
It also remeinded me of Terracotta, by Guerlain, but this one is happier and not so cold like Terracotta.

justfloral

Monoi oil (tiare + coconut) + pebbles (the same as in Oscar de la Renta = "sparkling" limestone, pebbles, wet sidewalk, thick aluminium foil)

pasha

She does indeed smell rather pebble-y! Weird perfume to describe: waxy, yet dry. Flowery, yet not overtly feminine. Light vanilla and even lighter coconut that only fortify the white flowers, but will not overwhelm them... I cannot even detect them separately as individual notes. Very well blended.

I appreciate this quality, because too much coconut makes fragrances smell like cheap sunscreen imo.

I love this.

And she does smell exactly like the much-celebrated oil, only lacks that animalic and somewhat acrid egg smell that, to be frank, is also not that dominant in the oil anyhow. This has a very creamy quality to it, slightly on the synthetic realm perhaps... Not that there is anything wrong with that. I look forward to layering her with other colognes as well. I think she will work as a nice inviting base.

Discreet yet courteous skin scent with weak performance and moderate sillage. Elegant, gentle, well polished and summer-appropriate.

Mirella86

I blind-bought this, after reading a recommendation on the forum. It is my best blind buy ever. I loved the dry oil from Nuxe and absolutely adored the way it smelled on my skin. This fragrance is even better than the oil, more refined and elegant, and much stronger. Gardenia and coconut, it is like a tropical island in a bottle, with sun lotion and pina colada. Good job, Nuxe!

mystica

Yves Rocher's Monoi Eau des Vahines is better than this. I don't understand the hype about Nuxe products, particularly the dry oil anyway. I had it and could not even use it due to the oily "egg" smell it had. I actually went to the store back to check -if there was something wrong with my bottle- and smelt every single bottle on the shelves; nope, the same...

I tried the perfume today, at first it was beautiful, and then soon after what I all smell here is "petroleum".

Sorry Nuxe, sorry no. Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess for example does this concept way better.

Pebbles by the way, yes I smell them, they are pretty dry and almost dusty. Sure they sit on a seashore, but the water is contaminated with petroleum. Time of the day is sunset...

*Not migraine safe.

Madrona

I won this beauty in a giveaway here on Fragrantica - thank you Lacrimosa! Gardenia and orange flower vie for control, and to my nose, gardenia comes out on top. Definitely getting the magnolia as well. It's a monoi-type scent and a bit similar to Yves Rocher Monoi Eau des Vahines, but this one is more complex.

It's oily and solar, bright and toasty, perfumey in a good way. The "pebbles" note intrigues me and smelling my wrist I know precisely what is meant, a bit gravel-like, but buried under a runny, sunny, silky yet crisp layer of white flowers and non-edible sun lotiony coconut. I don't think it's particularly sweet and it's sharper than I imagined, overspraying this would definitely assault your nose. That said, it's a lovely warm beach blanket scent.

fay-rose.moutzouri

Seriously this is an extraordinary scent. I don't know why many people have never heard of it.Perfect for spring and summer and you can wear it all day long.On my skin is sweet and floral and clean in a way..But not soapy clean..just pure. And not candy or fruity sweet either..Coconut is quite strong but not overwelmig.

Longevity: 7,5
Sillage: 8,5

stella_gray

I'm a huge fan of Nuxe products and particularly love their Prodigieux range including the oil and face cream. In my opinion the face/hair/body oil is not noticeably better than any other similar products on the market but its signature scent sucked me right in. So when I saw that Nuxe released a perfume for the Prodigieux range I hopped online and snapped up a few bottles!
My impression on the perfume is that the fragrance is strong at first when first sprayed on so don't overdo it. The first notes I get are white florals and vanilla. The perfume then settles down to that familiar Nuxe Prodigieux scent that is exactly like the oil.
This perfume is not particularly long lasting but layering it with other Prodigieux products would likely give a bit more longevity. While I think it is predominantly a summer/spring scent, I do think you could wear it in colder weather. I also think it is a very versatile scent that could be worn in the office as well as after hours/out for dinner. Likewise despite being quite a classic style fragrance, it is a perfume that could be worn by a variety of ages.
So thumbs up from me and it will definitely become a favourite in my perfume collection of around 50 different scents. If you love the Nuxe oil, you will love this!

nweh

Love the scent of the day oil but hate how much silicone there was in that. Was very happy to find this perfume. Love this. Creamy orange blossom with a kiss of coconut, but well blended so it doesn't smell too tropical or beachy. May be cloying if you spray too much.

Layla54

I impulse bought this at the airport after a holiday in Corsica when I was high on dazzling light and space and, inevitably, it carries those images back when I put it on now. I find it has a soft, honeyed scent that doesn't screech at all on me, but then I have the kind of skin that soaks up top notes super fast, leaving nothing but a wisp of wood smoke or trace of musk. I don't get coconut, but I do get the flowers of the gorse bush warmed up in the sun, which also reminds me of childhood holidays in Cornwall and the scent wafting off the cliffs. It's not amazingly original or complex, but it is NICE.

socorrosouza

All fragrances now are mostly synthetic, with a few (but very few) exceptions. And have been for almost 30 years, as I have read here on Fragrantica.

sistermoon

I tested this recently in a store. The opening is more floral than the famous oil. But the florals disappear and all what is left is the signature Nuxe oil scent. Which I love by the way. But I figured the oil is cheaper and it's multi-tasking, and the fragrance of the oil lingers just as much as this perfume. There's really no reason to get this fragrance if you own and use the oil. But judged on its own, this is a beautiful, summery, beachy scent - but nothing fruity or tropical, this is a classic scent that brings to mind hot beach sand mixed with the scent of a sunscreen lotion. It feels luxurious and somehow comforting.

margoval

Thanks to the top notes it is nice at the beginning but it quickly becomes heavy floral, creamy and old-fashioned. Gardenia suffocates the rest of the notes and me as well.
I cannot bear it *especially* in summer.

SIPLANTIS

Dear Sannee77, i like coconut scents too, so i suggest you to try Sarah Jessica Parker's Pure Crush. Its aroma is so similar to Malibu :)

Sannee77

Oh man, what a disappointment! Based on the notes I expected this to be the perfect cozy scent, but no. The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse oil that the fragrance is based on is lovely. Prodigieux Le Parfum is a pungent and screechy version, boozy orange blossom and coconut gone bad. Why can't I ever find a coconut scent that I like?

Rianna

As long as you don't go berserk with this then you'll be okay. I first smelt this in a magazine sample and really liked it because it was unlike anything I'd smelt before.
Then seeing it on offer decided to take the plunge.
It's quite strong and slightly sweet on first spray and can come across as synthetic and off putting. My advice spray once on your wrist, lightly rub with the other and leave it alone for 15 minutes before sniffing.
There it is - a waft of the beach right there on your wrist, sand sun sea and pebbles. I can smell the bergamot and a trace of orange blossom with the underlying magnolia but ultimately the vanilla and coconut milk.
This is the perfume you turn to when you want something different, when you're fed up with your florals but want something not too masculine but not too feminine.
It's clean not dirty, and definitely different. Don't overspray or you'll put yourself off and try before you buy.

goofycaramel

This is an example of how fragrance can differ so much in different product incarnations. I purchased a Nuxe gift set that included a sample of this perfume because I adored the soft creamy tropical frangipani scent wafting from my Nuxe candle. However, the Parfum version is a very old fashioned white floral that is decidedly not for me.

This is remarkably similar to Annick Goutal's Songes on me, if a touch less heavy. I can't wear Songes due to the thick miasma of fragrance that surrounded me for hours if I even dared a spray, but Nuxe Prodigieux is somewhat more wearable. If you like Songes but found it too heavy, give Nuxe Prodigieux a try.

Update: I've since tried the Nuxe beauty oil that seems to be a cult favorite (and it does seem to relieve my mild winter psoriasis). The scent is somewhere in the middle between the candle and the parfum versions, not as soft as the candle, but not as strong and heavy as the parfum; if you're a fan of the beauty oil scent, note that the parfum's scent is going to be in the similar vein, but heavier, than the oil. The candle remains my favorite fragrance carrier format.

This is obviously a perfume that behaves quite differently on different skin. This was my experience: Lovely creamy floral alternating with powdery vanilla dust and only very late a fleeting glimpse of of light citrus! The first scent waves reminded me of a chestnut flower perfume i gave as a present once. So no fresh start here, it is straight on sweet, slightly heavy flowers. I would have sworn there is jasmine in this, of a very creamy-oily sweet kind. However, must be orange flower, my uneducated nose is sometimes confused but just to point out that the orange blossoms here are heady rather than fresh. Other flowers are mixed in to create a luxurious, sweet, super creamy/oily and rather captivating composition. Kind of like a Lush product for a grown up, without the candyish undercurrent.
Looking at the scent pyramid: Pebbles? Yes indeed! But very dry ones covered by dust, creates a sort of contrast theme together with vanilla, resulting in a very dry powdery effect that alternates interestingly, even if not always totally pleasant, with the dense and sweet floral aspect.
Sillage is rather close, longevity half a day. I dont think use of this is limited to summer, i can imagine it quite versatile actually, even if the sillage does not present it as an obvious evening scent. I might have considered buying this floral beauty but these days i do not gravitate to opulent mature sweet florals like this but will keep it in mind for sure!
Edit: only in the very end do i get the beach vibe other reviewers talk about.

Nuxe – Nuxe Prodigieux. 11/08/2015

Nuxe Prodigieux is a beautiful, predominately Spring and Summer, fragrance. It is comprised by, mainly, white flowers rounded by a honeyed note but, it is not at all sweet or cloying. On the contrary, it is citrusy sharp and fresh and it wakes up the senses.

I find it suitable for all ages, all occasions and officewear. I think it is pleasant and inoffensive and I do recommend it.

The downside to it is the longevity which is very small. It lasts for about an hour, at best. This, combined with the fact that its price is considerable, make the perfume a questionable purchase. If you do not mind splurging on a scent that lasts so little then, Nuxe Prodigieux will not disappoint you.

Enjoy the perfume quest.

Josephine

This smells like coconut sunscreen to me! Warm, a soft sillage but a dense fragrance. The vanilla and coconut combined with gardenia is definitely a heavy mix, summery but not in an aquatic, fresh way - more of a humid, midday, early afternoon heated way. It's a beautiful blend to be sure but for summer, personally I would usually go for something that makes me feel fresher, not muggier!

samsara1977

I don't quote this as a summer scent, to me it is very synthetic after a couple of minutes. It keeps hanging on your skin and is disturbing causing instant headache! I think Nuxe wanted to live of the success of their oil... but using oil as a perfume base gives a very different result I believe.

missrukia

Tropical but also very classy and feminine. It's a clean scent (gardenia) but a 'gourmand' at the same time with the coconut milk and vanilla. It's a nice perfume, Serge Majoullier did a good job ! It's very strong when you spray it but it doesn't lasts on my skin, that's why I spray it more on clothes where it can last 2 days.

katushka37

On my skin it smells very similar to Nuxe dry oil. I got my hands on the oil first because I've heard lots of good reviews about it and fell in love with the scent. It is rich, creamy white floral warmed with coconut and vanilla notes.

genny17

I had tried it a while back, and didn't think much of it, as I am not fond of the huile prodigieuse..I recently bought a 15 ml, and it is definitely different, it smells summery. Not so much like sunscreen. More like tropical!?like a tropical floral scent, sunny, and real attractive!! My husband likes it, which is a plus!! I detect a beautiful gardenia flower, which in the drydown gets creamy..
Overall a nice scent, feminine, stylish...I like it...I already have Kate spade live colorfully and it is in that same vibe, the Nuxe being less floral..
in the end, it isnt what I like wearing, so I gave it away!

My skin really loves this stuff, it brings out this scents best features and amplifies them. The result is a gorgeus, voluptuous and very elegant tropical floral.

I can smell the creamy coconut milk, the smooth and sweet vanilla, the charming and very pleasant magnolia, gardenia and orange blossom. And in the dry down this very interesting dry beach rock (pebble) note is quite prominent. It all comes together to create a fantastic summer scent reminiscent of the best summer vacations of my life.

The sillage is great and I can smell the scent for hours and hours on my skin.

I adore this perfume. :)

Nikkafragrance

What's with all these negative reviews?! On me this smells gorgeous and classy - I can sense orange blossom, gardenia, vanilla, coconut milk and magnolia. The scent is a sillage monster - it fills a room and it lasts for ages. The composition is very original, I haven't smelt anything like it before. Definately a night perfume. So, thumbs up, at least for me.

Lashandy

After using dry oil, I decided to get perfume too. The EDP supposes to long lasting but it doesn't. Very disappointed but no choice..I need to apply oil first and spray it on top in order to keep the smell but I can keep the smell till afternoon only. Its represented summer time, Singapore is cold season now..So, I gonna keep it till sun is hot enough to burn and diffuse.

eirenelisa

Review is of a body oil sample. It would be so good if it was missing the lime-tangerine note. I love the beeswax and vanilla floral and bit of coconut, but the citrus fruits and the tad of tea rose are messing it up for me. I smell a good amount of orange blossom in here too, but I don't get much gardenia. It does remind me of the smell of the beach and outdoor pools (minus the chlorine smell). The quality of the oil seems really nice, but I haven't tried more than a few dry oils in my life.

beauty_girl

Reminds me a lot of Curious by Britney Spears.

Antares811

This is a very summery and light floral. I can detect mostly white flowers, coconut, and a hint of citrus and honey. It reminds me of suntan lotions smell. Suitable for summer. Lovely.

LetThereBeMe

Living on an island in the tropics, I'm on the hunt for a scent to match my surroundings. Something balmy, coconutty, creamy, slightly sweet, slightly citrusy. Looking at the notes listed above, this perfume fits the bill. However, on my skin, it's the exact opposite. I get a whiff of vanilla and then dust! It smells so dry, I needed a drink of water.

jedrzejowskia

This is really not worth the price tag.
It smells like Monoi oil, only with a plasticky undertone. Not bad, but definitely nothing groundbreaking.
I find the oils overpriced too. Lots of hype and it didn't deliver.
I prefer my Monoi eau de Vahines from Yves Rocher, that one smells far more luscious, creamy, alive and summery whereas Prodigieux falls flat and dull on it's face.

jennigo

Along with many other reviewers, I use the oils (both types) frequently and love the Prodigieux fragrance. I was thrilled when NUXE released the perfume. Even more thrilled to discover that, to me, the perfume is a true representation of the best of the oils' fragrance. The difference I detect is that the perfume is more focused and behaves like a perfume, whereas I detect an off putting note in the oils that I've found difficult to describe. (I lack the awe-inspiring fragrance vocabulary that so many in the Fragrantica community possess.) Can't recall what oil is used in the NUXE Prodigieux products, but that may be the cause of the bothersome smell. Happily, the perfume is free of that issue. In the context of my fragrance life, I have a finicky and disloyal nose.On any given day I may reject a fragrance that was the prior day's craving so I doubt that a signature scent is in my future. However, this lovely NUXE Prodigieux perfume is proving to be a welcomed and frequent companion; easy to be around - never tiresome, interesting but not so complicated as to require too much reflection, courteous - never overbearing, and surprisingly, has not yet irritated this goldilocks of all things sensory: not too this and not too that but just right.
By the way, the NUXE Prodigieux candle is also delightful! Thank you NUXE!

star38

the oil smelles better than the parfume

coffeebee88

I'm in two minds about this perfume. I think it is quite pleasant but the orange blossom is really quite strong on my skin. The top note definitely reminds me of Elie Saab, which is not a bad thing but it's just slightly too strong. The dry down is better and it lingers for quite a while. I will still probably purchase it sometime soon, but I have yet to find a summer fragrance that compares to Azuree Soleil!

dsty

I bought this because I love the smell of Huile Prodigieuse. I'd use it all the time if my skin were less dry or if it were less expensive. As it is, I need too much of it to make it affordable, so I was very glad when I found out about this perfume. And I wasn't disappointed.
I especially like this perfume after it's had some time. At first there is some dominant smell that I would have called "nylon stockings"; having read the description, I assume it's the pebbles. It's not unpleasant later on when it fades more into the background (then it contributes to the general lovely "beach" smell), but at first it's a bit too much.
After a while it becomes a very nice beach/skin scent: suntan lotion, a bit of coconut, warm skin, a bit of sand. Lovely!
It's pretty longlasting too; I can smell it on my wrist all day long, fading slowly...

archergirl

I am a big fan of the Huile Prodigieuse oil and go through a bottle every few months. The perfume smells exactly like the oil. Exactly. On my skin, as with a few other reviewers, it is pure tropics and suntan oil. A warm, golden smell redolent of hot sun, summer and beaches. I get very few of the top notes except orange blossom and a slightly sharp orange, which fades quickly. Of the middle notes, only a hint of magnolia and gardenia (rose? where?), last through the dry-down and then out come all of the base notes, including the dry, sort of dusty smell of pebbles. It's a seductive, subtle, creamy scent, not 'perfumy', that will really only reveal itself to someone who is up close and personal with you. I would love to buy a bottle, but on me the perfume does not last as long as the oil does, so I may as well keep buying the oil (it's cheaper, for one thing).

Emma0714

Meh. Niether good nor bad. It smells like monoi oil. Gardenia and coconut. Wich is really nice! But in my honest opinion, next to "Monoi eau des Vahines" by Yves Rocher, or Vercases "Crystal Noir", this one smells bland. More "wonderbaum-ish". If that makes sense. I don't get that soft SOFT creamy scent. There is some note that is really off in this one... Don't know.. the pebbles maybe? Makes it smell a bit... cheap. Unfortuneatly :(

meligonlan

I'm in the Caribbean wearing a white bikini and panama hat. It's the middle of the afternoon when the sun is most powerful. My skin is burning and sweating so I decide to reapplying my suntan lotion. To freshen up I go for a dip in the sea and then go lay down on the sand while sipping my Piña Colada. This is what NUXE reminds me of :) Absolutely delicious.

Exenidi

Very soft , ultimate creaminess and smoothness. The scent oozes comfort and delicate top notes gently carry you over to the perfectly blent coconut and vanilla. There is nothing sharp or sun-tan lotion- like in the scent, despite it's originating from the popularity of the oil itself. Wearable in cold Asa we'll as summer months. Once again Creaminess itself. That's how Vanilla Noir by Yves Rocher would smell, had it creamy coconut added. Highly recommended!

sirop de Liège:
Can you desribe that scent? Cause i have that product too, but to me it just smells old and dated, even though my bottle isnt.

sirop de Liège

I would like to try this! I use the Nuxe huile Prodigieuse which has a heavenly scent and if the perfume smells similar then for sure I will love it!

daisyM

Pebbles?! I tried it yesterday and didn't smell any pebbles...
