Narciso Rodriguez For Her by Narciso Rodriguez is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Narciso Rodriguez For Her was launched in 2003. Narciso Rodriguez For Her was created by Christine Nagel and Francis Kurkdjian. Top notes are African Orange Flower, Osmanthus and Bergamot; middle notes are Musk and Amber; base notes are Vetiver, Vanille and Patchouli. This perfume is the winner of 2 awards: FiFi Award Fragrance Of The Year Women`s Nouveau Niche 2004 and FiFi Award Fragrance Of The Year Women`s Nouveau Niche 2007.

Young and very modern American designer of Cuban origins Narciso Rodriguez has launched his first fragrances which has instantly become the hit in the US, and not only there. The new modern aroma is aimed at the modern and free woman, who is aware of her sexuality. Popularity of this fragrance (regardless of its unusual composition and a heavy character, and perhaps exactly because of that) is easy to explain because it reflects a desire of every woman to attract and seduce, and this fragrance has openly sexual character. Unusual lustful composition is created with the sensual musk in its centre, surrounded by orange, osmanthus and amber. The base unites vanilla, amber and vetiver. Intensive sharp scent with hidden and scarcely discernible densely-sweet nuance in the centre later turns into a soft and balmy powder. The aggression disappears and the fragrance becomes tame and gentle.

At first, in 2004 it was launched as EDT in a black bottle in pink outer box. Then in 2006 the EDP was created in a pink bottle and black outer box. The composition was changed, despite the fact that the musk note has remained in the centre of the composition. EDP has rose note in the top. The trace has become more mysterious and rich, thanks to exotic woods – patchouli and sandalwood. Both variances of the fragrance can be described as floral chypre with intensive musk nuance, only the first one is sharper and more aggressive, while the second one is sweeter and softer. The creators of these fragrances are Christine Nagel and Francis Kurkdjian.

Musky, a bit skanky and vintage, has that "perfume-y" quality to it given by the osmanthus flower. More beautiful when it settles in a "your skin but better" scent than when you first spray it. Lasts quite well for an EDT, and has its own unique smell compared to what designers release these days, which would go well for a signature (though used more scarcely in the summer). If you think the musk in this is too much I would suggest going for the Forever version.

meredithxx

This didn’t smell bad; I certainly didn’t mind the smell. The scent did not last very long, but I understand it’s an EDT. The clincher for me was when my husband sniffed it on my wrist & said it smelled like old lady. I hate to be one of those & refer to fragrances that way, but since it was just ordinary to me anyway, I figured I’d not purchase a perfume to repel my hubby. 😂

Richa30

Warm fluffy floral musk that has been in my collection for years now. The opening is strong however the magic happens after the first 10 mins when it develops into a creamy floral with fleeting musk. Lasts days on clothes and can be smelt the next day in the room where I sprayed it on. Maybe a bit boring but I keep coming back to it. For an EDT , amazing performance.

hataruna

I smell lilac in this. Does anyone smell lilac? The beginning smells very “perfume-y” (I don’t like it), then the mid smells like lilacs + Nivea lotion (amazing!), then there’s no base, it just disappears. I don’t smell any musk in this lol. Pure Musc was on point for that musky, cool girl thing; I had high hopes for this one.

Miasha

This is the one of Narciso Rodriguez’s fragrances that I love the least. And I bought it last… 🙂
I have ten (10!) of their fragrances, so of course I thought I must have the original. And: I still like it, but I think it has less personality than the others, and is kind of cool and aloof.
I like it more when I layer it with NR Pure Musc -
since that one is more warm and fluffy, though it is the ”neutral” musc in the bunch.
Over all: how can you not love the house of Narciso Rodriguez! They are so modern and classic at the same time - they are really lifting up the femininity. I have actually not tried smelling their ”for men” fragrances - but I suspect that they do masculinity just as well.

HeatherNS

the lotion of this is even better, is sooooo good

mettestenersen

I like musk so this should have been right up my alley, but no.... Blind bought this one based on great reviews but it doesn't work on my skin. It smells almost rotten, like fruit gone bad. I gave mine away and she loved it, and it smells better on her. So try before you buy would be my advice.

Serosa_

This perfume is just very chic. A dark and cold, musky flower scent. If you spray on your hair, it will last days. I just love the smell that wafts up my nose gently in every hair movement. This fragrance is appropriate in evert occasion. It is good for a weekend cinema day, a date night and also a serious meeting. Still a masterpiece. A total love for me!

faunwand

This scent lingers on my skin like black tea, forgotten in a teapot for too long.

Melody Valentine

I've only got the body wash and body cream but I'd have sworn there was rose in this. It must just be because it gives off a rose/musk/patchouli vibe, or my nose associates bergamot, musk, vanilla and patchouli with rose because they're so often used together, but either way it works really well for layering my rose and/or patchouli perfumes. Very sexy, musky and patchouli heavy. I have tried the perfume once, ages ago, and from memory it was more orangey smelling. Feminine, classy, kinda basic but in a good way. I like it. I think I'll have to give the perfume another try. Layered it with Rose D'Arabie and it was gorgeous.

nourahalbqumi98

It's the kind of fragrance that wafts past you when a stylishly dressed woman strolls through a bustling city. I'm absolutely smitten with this scent!

orangeblossom6

For an edt, the longevity of this perfume is amazing.

It opens very florally - almost too strong. But once you let it work its magic, it settles into a beautiful musky scent that is both classy and sexy at the same time. I could even argue that this scent is timeless too!

shashui

when i first tried this is thought it was very outdated and old lady like smell. I actually let it sit for a couple months in my drawer. i then tried it again for some reason or another and i loved it. it’s this musky florally beautiful smell that leaves a scent cloud for about 6 hrs on me and then changes to a skin scent that will last for another 6 hours at least. I think for those that find it to patchouli smelling, leave it to sit for a bit and try it again.

eva.daisy.88

Such a beautiful creation!
the opening is a bit deceiving, smells almost a bit outdated, but it lasts literally 5 seconds. After that it’s a cozy mixture of musk and osmanthus and orange flower blossom, at least on my skin. It is so lovely, ideal for colder weather for that cozy vibe. Lasts for a few hours.

HellyKayden

At first smell I got all musk and felt it was a little light. Whole different story on the skin. The patchouli is super strong. I get all patchouli and white florals. It’s giving old lady, department store perfume😬

kelzluvznz

After reading the reviews on this fragrance I decided to pull the trigger....... only to be disappointed and I fully regret it! It definitely has that old musky/ old lady vibes (sorry to sound agest). I don't know how people can associate the words 'sexy fragrance' with this smell, it really isn't. It's pretty faint, thank gosh, because it smells outdated, almost along the lines of rotten.

Sk8lin

This is beautiful. The initial top notes can be deceiving, so WAIT before you make a decision on your opinion of this one! Smelling the atomizer or a test strip isn’t enough to experience the beauty of this fragrance. I find this one ideal for cooler weather, like late fall into winter. This one can be a little overwhelming if oversprayed, so I use this one as 1-2 sprays along my décolletage before getting dressed, as it smells so much better on skin than on clothing.

petra_ita

This was my signature scent for many years. It's so versatile and timeless. Husband says it's sex in a bottle. I stopped wearing it at some point, because everyone and their mother was using it (in Italy), but now I'm wearing it at again at occasion and with so many designer releases being sweet, fruity or gourmandy I find myself craving for this. You have to like osmanthus and patchouli, they're heavy in this. The dry-down is to die for and it lasts an eternity on my skin. I suspect the people complaining about the longevity probably go noseblind to it. I will always have a bottle of this.

margaretm

For Her is such an easy scent to wear. It smells classic and vintage but still somehow fresh, and I really think it blends with the skin nicely. I love the musky, ambery, almost animalic thing, but I feel like the bright florals, bergamot, and orange blossom balance it out really nicely. It makes me feel very sexy and womanly. Truly a universal fragrance I think. Perfect spring/summer fragrance for women who usually prefer darker, spicier, ambers and musks.

Siennai

Amber, vetiver and patchouli are prominent here

avaava25

a retail assistant got a whiff of this from me and immediately asked what I'm wearing. very feminine clean girl scent, not too suffocating/headache inducing

harrirac

I don't know what changed but the first time I tried this, I really did not like it. I just tried it again after it sitting on my shelf for months and now I love it! I think it is so refined! If you did not like it initially, I encourage you to try it again!

Hussam Ray

Smells like a 5 stars spa/hotel soap, I like it even my 14 years old sister really liked it, it has vintage smell but done really well, good for everyday use and the performance is good too, 100% unisex,I recommend

tingiling

This was a blind buy for me. After spending some time on fragrantica and reading the comments, I initially thought it was a risky one, especially because of the comments relating to animals ans old lady vibes ;) But I ordered it because the price was totally ok. Soo... O M G! This is such a great fragrance! I'm on my third bottle now, and I think I will definitely re-purchase. The combination of the ingredients just works so well! The perfume has some sweetness to it, but the musc is definitely there as well, I also smell some aroma here and there. The opening is very exciting, it instantly reminds me of a super cool night out. My boyfriend loves it, and I get so much compliments in general. I mostly use it in the evening/at night, as it might be a bit too strong for the day OR for higher temperatures. I find the scent complex and surprising. Interestingly enough, I understand why some people might find the animalic note so prominent - it's definitely there, but the blend makes it so well layered. 10/10 :)

dorsa-kz

It's such a beautiful and soft scent. I prefer this to the EDP. It is sexier. However, the Longevity and Sillage are really really bad. After 2 hours I can't smell anything. It's such a shame because I really liked the smell. I wish it performed better and was stronger. I won't be buying it again because of the weak performance.

CallistoLuna

This fragrance is very elegant. I wear it to work but also, on occasion, a weekend. Its a great daytime floral fragrance without being overwhelmingly floral. It's soft and carresses the senses rather than being loud and hitting you like a wall of perfume. One to try if you like Lovely by SJP. This is similar, but also different.

Kpluxe

Wow, my nose has changed! I had this fragrance back in the mid 2000s and I ended up throwing it away because it gave me a headache. Now that I've become obsessed with NR I decided to buy it again just to complete my collection and OMG it's gorgeous! I thought I would like the EDP better, but no - this is a new love. The opening with the orange blossom and bergamot is to die for. As it dries down the musk and amber warms everything up. Perfection

MTK82

I'm pretty late on the Narciso rodriguez bandwagon...but I'm absolutely smitten by this perfume...its intoxicating and beautiful.

nickinicole

I like the EDT si much more than the EDP, but it has no staying power

kiwiclams

Notes I noticed: bergamot, musk
Things I liked: the sillage is very impressive personally for an eau de toilette + I do like how it settles on your skin after a while. I see what everyone means about how its so classy and timeless
Things I didn't like: Having said that, I do think the first spritz and the following first 10 mins are a little talcum powder grandmother-esque. Not necessarily in a bad way - just in a way that is a little deceptive + can totally turn you off at first
Will I repurchase?: Originally, no. But I think it has grown on me! I was so impressed by how long it lasted as well.

January420

Definitely not my favorite. To me it just smells like a crap ton of vintage perfumes combined into one bottle, I was really hyped up abut trying this one too. :(
Ok.. edit, I have been sitting here for a few minutes and now that the smell is lingering it is actually a pretty sensual, sort of peppery floral. Its quite nice

MangoMalaysia

DO NOT try this on paper strip, it'll blow you off. Try it on your skin, it smells much better there.

akha231

I probably smelled this in a magazine advertisement when it was new. And then I probably ripped out the advertisement and threw it in the trash so I could enjoy the magazine.

It's an intense and extremely synthetic laundry products scent --- sweet and floral in nature but resembling no particular flower. Orange blossom? Nah. Osmanthus? I actually went outside and picked over a tea olive bush until I found a flower to compare --- osmanthus has a lovely apricot scent; this may have some vaguely fruity notes.

A little googling turns up that lilial used to be high on the list of allergens in this fragrance, before it was banned, and I do think the dominant floral note may be closest to lily of the valley. I'm not 100% sure what LOTV is supposed to smell like, though; the plant's not common around here.

After a few hours, I washed my wrists, and then I dabbed some of the fragrance on an index card which I proceeded to sniff at over the next week. I wanted to get a better idea of the "musk" scent that this is supposed to turn into. The floral note is tenacious, though; it seems to be as present in the drydown as anything else. Finally, it gets a little bit scratchy like a dryer sheet.

Overall -- it's the kind of scent that put me off perfume when I was a young adult. I'm a bit boggled that folks consider it "inoffensive."

Amber Plokchouli

This is a gorgeous fragrance, deep and seductive. A lot of people think this smells outdated, but I disagree. It’s a modern classic, and that’s what it smells like; a classic. No it does not smell like the brunt of the oud and gourmand fragrances that are so popular now, but it does smell timeless and elegant.

I am not a fan of musk heavy scents usually, but this one is so seductive, alluring and addictive. I get boudoir vibes from it, and it makes me think of black lace lingerie. The scent is very creamy, which always makes me feel like I’m wearing an expensive bodylotion, rather than a perfume, which adds to the boudoir vibes, giving it more of a nudity vibe. If I want to emphasise the carnal element, I layer it over Lush Lust.

This is one of those fragrances that releases wisps of scent all day long, it’s one of the few fragrances I own that gets me compliments.

I need to be in a certain mood to want to wear this. I need to be wearing black and be dressed elegantly. I need to want to feel incredibly sexy and seductive, but when I do, this is everything I need.

I think you can tire of this if you wear it a lot, but that doesn’t make it less great. It’s a lovely addition to any collection.

miiilaala

the type of perfume you would smell when a a beautifully dressed chic woman walks by you in a big city. in love with this scent!

tfek

A mass pleasing feminine scent. The musky and powdery floral is just addictive. It’s that scent you wear when you dress up and put together; a touch of NR Her will complete your look.

Flo992

There is a hot girl in my gym, i asked her what she was wearing and she told me about this frag, daamn that smell hit me hard (in a good way)

Tbh i dont know if the fragrance is that good or its that damn big booty that makes me delusional ...

TheDeleeShow

I used to wear this scent all year round. It’s beautiful and full, and never comes off as overpowering. It’s probably my “go to”, for day to day wear. It goes with casual afternoon lunches, just as well as it goes with a night out on the town. It’s classy, but not luxurious... and a good all-around feminine scent.

However… I have found other loves… and have grown out of consistently wearing it.

Atabey_H

Too vintage smelling which my perfume wardrobe is already not short of. Pass. My partner loves it on me though.

Jade-Ange D

Femme fatale perfume.

It’s Musky, Powdery, Intense, Mysterious, Dark and Sexy. Hear me out, a Parisian woman that dresses in black velvet maxi dresses and who looks like Shalom Harlow.
She’s confident, sexy, alluring, she’s everyone’s greatest fantasy.

This perfume has a strong notes such as the Osmanthus, Musk and African Orange Flower. Followed by a nice Amber, a Vetiver that adds an Aromatic side, and Patchouli that doesn’t smell too earthy but more Animalic.
Then, a more discreet Bergamot and Vanilla.

It lasts forever and has a really nice sillage, so sexy and alluring, a powdery masterpiece that reminds us of vintage fragrances : 11/10 🖤

manuelafaria

this one scared me because i was very excited to try it but the opening was quite unpleasant. luckily, i held on to the test paper and decided to smell it again after a while, finding it much better then. unfortunately, it does dry down into a bit of that “old lady” smell that musc perfumes sometimes have and the citrus notes weren’t strong enough to brighten it. i don’t really mind it, but i think it might be too mature for me. this is how i would expect a kind but professional doctor to smell like.

thr33stars

I wanted to love it but I can’t, so I feel betrayed.
It is so nice on others. It is at odds with my skin.
Synthetic, powdery

sabsoob

This used to be my signature scent for many years. I don't use it anymore but I have my old empty bottle that I keep to sniff when I miss it. If I ever become a minimalist or downsize my collection, it will be there (this or the pink bottle, I used both, but I was leaning to like the black bottle more).

scarlett.angel

The homeowner here gifted a full bottle of this to his stepson's wife for her birthday. I spotted it on the counter before it disappeared. The young woman is around my age, but with a very young child, wears no makeup, and lives in old t-shirts. Nothing wrong with that, but I just can't imagine her wearing this. Ever. Perhaps to her wedding had they not already been married. Or a nonexistent date night. Yes, I was extremely jealous.

elleayjay

This reminds me so much of Kat Von D Sinner and I absolutely love it! I had been looking for something similar, since Sinner was discontinued shortly after I bought a bottle back in like 2018. It’s been a while since I’ve smelled Sinner but this feels very close to what I remember it smelling like. I was hesitant to get this because I usually don’t do toilettes but this one packs a punch!! It’s the dry down that really captures everything I loved about Sinner. This was a blind buy and I am very pleased.

Moonami

I smelled it on a colleague and it smelled stunning that I ran and got a bottle for myself just to be overwhelmingly disappointed :(

For some reason Narciso perfumes don't blend well with my skin and end up smelling different than the amazing smell on others. In this one it could be the osmanthus since it prominent and I don't like it.

notfrannie

i have this as a hand cream, and i don’t think i’d get the perfume itself but the floral mushiness is kinda perfect for just a little dab on the knuckles. i don’t find it too “old” at all!

yuser99

I enjoy this fragrance. It can be a bit heavy/strong for some, not greatly suited to summer. Projects amazingly during winter and in the evenings.

Gorgeous. Love this. Powdery, floral, just lovely.

Ash212

Could have been the first perfume worn for 2024... but the sample was just too powdery and mature. I wished for something dark and longlasting and thought this could be it. Sadly, as always, the long lasting perfumes reek.

stefani valini

Good perfume, well made, but outdated. Definitly for grown woman.

lolllee2nd

For me, this EDT is more complex than the EDP, with multiple layers and more depth. The EDP on me is only overpowering one note musk incense. Both the EDT and EDP are cloying during humod summer heat. During dry days in spring and winter, I find the most subtle depths in EDT emerge. This EDT is still very strong and I have to apply delicately or it gives me migraines. It's too strong for my husband so I don't often wear it.

Initially, I get overwhelmed with a overly strong incense musk orange flower. After 15-30 minutes that fades to a supporting role and strong, heavy floral emerge, orange blossom and osmanthus. I don't see many reviewers reporting the orange note but it's comes through strong for me. My skins seems to really amp up fruity and citrus notes and I really like those notes here. I love osmanthus but I usually find it either too faint or too strong, and this EDT borders on almost too strong. This stage lingers a good few hours. After that, it turns to a creamy, smooth amber patchouli woods. I don't really get the vanilla as a distinct note but I think it's what adds the creamy smoothness to the amber patchouli notes.

Overall, this scent feels cozy to me, but also almost too much, like being surrounded in soft but slightly too thick wool that hung somewhere near heavy amber orange incense is burned near a driftwood fire, you're slightly too warm, but it's cold outside, and your comfortable and relaxed and don't want to shed those layers. It's really one of my favorites, has most elements I love in a perfume, but I can't wear it as often as I'd like because it's almost overpowering to the point of distraction.

DreamInCream

I was really intrigued with this one. Sounded so clean and minimalist. Musk, amber and vanilla, ummm! After only one spray I could not smell anything but this hard edge. It is a very strong and masculine scent to me. I'm not sure if it's the type of musk or the vetiver. I'm relatively new with fragrances and there are many I like with both of these notes.
So I'm not sure, but this is a definite no for me.

ldbslover

OH THIS IS GORGEOUSSSSS…

If you’ve ever seen Trese on Netflix, You would literally just believe that this is Alexandra’s fragrance, dark, powdery and very alluring..

smells like an occult store built on top of magic ruins, patchouli done in the best ways possible.

PDB1978

So dissipointing. The black bottle I can't smell a single thing. (Sprayed twice over two days)

The pink bottle I get a light fruity smell up close (obviously peach and rose).

So this means I can't smell musk?

I have pure musc the white bottle and it's my bed scent. Creamy fluffy hug and I love that soooooo much.

Maybe I should try Poudre for duing the day. It's summer here now. 25- 34 "C.

Looking for a signature that isn't in your face bold.

OnlyGodKnowsimGood

so sexy. poised, sharp yet delicate. a sweet girl who lives in a, cruel threatening, unusual world where lies the vague and uncertain and hides behind a persona as her choice of defense.

konga5

If you are NEW to Narciso ; I'm not sure this is the place to start. This is MUSK forward AND it feels different to a lot of people . It can also be "too much" for some and reads "synthetic". It's not bad at all - just not an easy fit. DO go for anything in a PINK, WHITE or PEACH colored bottle by Narciso !

miewtje

Beautiful woody second skin type of smell. Fell in love with this last summer when i tried it in store. I am familiair with the EDP and i wanted to know the difference. It's DNA is exactly the same exept this is more woody and more creamy, almost lactonic? Maybe it's not lactonic but animalic? There is a hint if skank or rather worn clammy skin in here. Animalic but make it human. It's what makes this a tad more mature and sexy then the EDP. We're deep in fall now and it's cold outside. I purchased this perfume today and immediatly notice how different it behaves in cold air. I think i will enjoy this even more in summer as in my experience it gets a little more clammy/sour (like yoghurt) in summer heat wich made me fall in love with it in the first place. That's not to say it's less enjoyable in winter. I am o so glad i went for a full 100ml bottle however.

dariaka

Disappointed at first but it has grown on me. I made a mistake applying this and was thinking: well, probably my nose isn't as sophisticated :D but then I thought: Francis Kurkdjian could do no wrong, could he?

The main trick is: you really need to apply it on your skin and give it some time, as it develops there, and it's indeed a "second skin" smell. It smells bad on a paper blotter and is not appealing if you smell the open bottle, needs to be tested personally for sure due to differences in skin chemistry

I first applied it on my clothes and hair and went outside into the cold evening air, it was a mistake - I hated the fragrance at first, even though it's not my first Narciso, and I like complex perfumes that are on the verge of being masculine, sometimes I wear perfumes for men, and many of my fragrances have musk at their base, just in this one the whole structure is dancing around it. I disliked it so much at first, I was glad to go to shower and wash it off my hair soon afterward.

If you apply it directly on skin, especially on warm skin, it evolves quickly and becomes totally different - powdery yet sensual, dark and somewhat seductive. I didn't risk buying EDP because I didn't want another gourmand-ish smell, I figure it must be sweeter and rosy based on the notes. Also my Narciso Poudree's (EDP) lasting power is enormous, it's really way too overpowering. - I like it but I had to give it away to my mom and I keep sniffing it every time she uses it, thinking "what a gorgeous smell, such a pity I can't stand being in the centre of the cloud", I just like the trail or how it smelled on me the next day I used it.

NRFH smells unique and at the same time generic, addictive in a way - I would keep wondering what perfume this is if I smelled it on another person, and it's definitely on the darker side, exactly how I like my perfumes.

If your first impression is like mine, apply it correctly and give it another chance, maybe in a few days, don't overspray it.
It was also interesting to learn that many people are anosmic to musk, I wonder how this would smell if the main character in the composition is removed? Just an example of how differently we all perceive smells

UPD: it started to remind me of the classic - Chanel №5, I recall when I was a child living with my mom in Crimea - before the greedy invaders stole our land as they are trying to do now - and she used to spray herself with it in the morning, before going to work, and I would always wake up because the smell used to be too strong for me. Not anymore though :)

Anonomouse

Powdery but not in a floral way but has floral notes in it. Mysterious vibe. Clean musk. Strong but not loud. Projects but isn't screaming for attention. Not for those who prefer sweet/fruity or gourmand. It's inoffensive and classy. I imagine hot business woman wearing this to work or an introverted woman who dressed up to go to the bar. This is a very versatile perfume.

eerie

Love this scent♥ So delicately feminine with brightness and warmth. Like a spring morning♥

junimo

Somewhat suffocating musky amber and white florals, like breathing deeply into an old, thick, woven sweater. Maybe this is just the association I have because it somehow reminds me of my mother. Maybe that’s also why I associate this smell with middle aged women. It is really, really pretty. Dries down much lighter and a little green.

Why is it that when majority of women love a scent that evokes Lady Boss and sophisticated woman it clashes with my skin chemistry? This EDT hates me. Initial spray smelled like some soiled fruit or rattan bag then it fades. Only to reemerge as dusty broom, baby sweat and greasy scalp that my husband recoiled and asked if I had already showered! I wanted to love this. Worse part? I passed this on to someone and she smelled really sophisticated, elegant and sexy she turned heads. What works great for me is Narciso Musc for Her (creamy, lactonic, vanilla white musk) which doesn't get much rave reviews.

It took me a long while to add a fb to my collection even as I liked this fragrance upon testing it each time. It’s a bit non-descript, yet something keeps pulling you in. Unisex imo… It feels if may be too close to the skin but kinda evolves and hangs on a long time. It’s only a bit sweet and not gourmand by todays standards, but also creamy enough to make you get close to that skin and yummmm…. It’s not a floral but hint of dried yet nor stale florals permeate quietly and confidently. It’s at the same a popular, easy branded scent, whilst having enough of a twist that will echoes as animatic/old lady/too heavy etc in many — so overall bit of a dilemma this fragrance! One I am ok to entertain… so it’s good perfumery work! And possibly worth a try!

babypong

smells like an Arab perfume on first spray, but there's not oud smell after it dries. I hated it at first, but after 30 mins it got better. green grassy notes come out, the spicy goes away, it becomes powdery and fresh with light woody notes. lasts about 2 hours. I will try it again because I want to like it. Until then I'm not a huge fan.

fragrantO

it smells like older sisters. like the sisters you wish you were friends with and being friends with their friends. effortlessly cool, mysterious in a way as you can hear gossip and laughter coming from their rooms.

Goldena35

Beautiful feminine scent. This is one I didn’t like in my 20s and then accidentally fell in love with 10 years later. Warm musky amber, the osmanthus reads perfectly on my skin and it can be tricky for me. This is a skin scent with POWER. I understand some of the negative comments but there is a reason this is a classic. Makes me feel comforted and happy. It is chilly where I live today and after applying this I feel like I pulled on the softest ballet pink cashmere sweater (even though I am in a hoodie and joggers lol).

WhiteFlowerPrincess

Narciso Rodriguez for her EDP in the black bottle isn't the worst scent I've ever smelt, but I do dislike this perfume quite a lot to be frank.

It opens up with a very leathery and woody smell from the osmanthus which I'm not so fond of, but I will say that I like the combination of the African orange flower and the bergamot in the top notes. It freshens things up somewhat.

But this glimmer of hope is ruined again by a very powdery and sweaty smelling musk and an amber that somehow seems to strangely accentuate this quality. It smells dirty and animalic in a not too pleasant sort of way.

This dirty and powdery B.O smell is then accentuated even more by a dirty and foul smelling patchouli that only accentuates the worst (i.e dirty and bitter) qualities of patchouli and drowns out any of the lovely and warm smell one would get from a note that is as beautiful and sweet as vanilla.

I will say though that this fragrance projected a lot and it had an amazing wear time of 14 hours on me, but it unfortunately just gave me headaches. This fragrance would probably be best suited to fall and winter during the night if you HAD TO wear this dark and dirty smelling monstrosity, but I wouldn't like being around someone wearing this. I'd say that this is a unisex scent too that leans slightly masculine than a feminine perfume for women too.

Altogether, I'd only give this fragrance a pretty terrible 1.8 out of 10.

jeanette123

This is my all year, anytime calming scent. I have anxiety and this actually helps. I spray it for bed sometimes. I bought the giant size bottle as backup. This is medication to me. Beautiful musk with a little amber. I wear it in summer if I need it. I don't care what people think.

Dawnya7b

For years I hated this. I would see it in department stores and cringe at the smell from the nozzle. I could not for the life of me understand the appeal. I even tried Lovely and no just no. I ended up blind buying a full bottle because I blind bought Lalibela, and the comments all said it smells like this. And when I tell you I adore Lalibela it was love at first sniff and the musk in it made me crazy in love. So, I got a bottle of this.

This... is... Gorgeous! Lalibela is like 5X sweeter, but the base muskiness is definitely similar. There is no sweetness here, but I like that too. I don't know what has changed in my nose, but I really appreciate drier fragrances now. Not everything needs to be sweet. There is a time and place for no sweetness. its clean and super sexy. Its strong at first but when it calms down it just meshes with my body chemistry so beautifully.

10/10 fragrance for me. I use this on its own and to layer when some of my fragrances need a little NR musk added. or to tone down the sweetness of some of the fruity or gourmand fragrances.

oh, I forgot to mention that I cannot smell anything when I spray it on paper, it just smells like paper. Spray it on skin and it will get your whole life together.

J'aimeunefragrance

Professional, poised and sorted. Sharp at the edges yet comforting within.

sofkaa

These need to be sprayed on your skin. It is meant to develop on your skin. If the chemistry is right it will turn into the most sexiest scent. EDP version is different to EDT. EDT on my skin develops into this "dirty" clean scent. Smells like someone very attractive had a workout and their sweat (not armpits stinky sweat but skin workout moisture) wearing a white freshlu ironed cotton tshirt. That fresh irom smell develops in about an hour. Literally all men i dated made a comment how sexy i smell. Also, important to buy these from a department store. Cheaper chemist versions are NOT the same at all. Buy from narciso website

mothtoaflame___

(Collection)
Reads as the tropical variant of the EDP - both share a similar musky base, patchouli is less sharp here because amber and osmanthus even the bitterness of it out.

ingenpen

I mean, what can one say? Another masterful fragrance from the house of Narciso Rodriguez. It is sweet, but not cloying, it's addictive and that musk, oh boy, it is just so yummy and seductive! I feel like a million bucks each time I spray this.
Run, don't walk.

CaliMiXers

It gives an overpowering opening to me. Too much musk and that headache feeling when my grandma over sprays her Channel #9 before getting in the car.

Definitely not a scent for me but hey to each their own. I just can’t handle the opening and the dry down is giving to much powdery orange blossom. I was waiting for the aquatic to kick in and give a nice balance but i’m not receiving it on my skin.

allie-32098

I was gifted this as a rollerball and I've had trouble making my way through it. It's fruity at the beginning, and quite sweet. Very clean from top to bottom. It would probably be good for layering with something a bit dirtier, a more animalic musk or smokey incense, a funkier patchouli. But I don't own any fragrances that layer well with it so I'm kinda stuck. As it is, it just doesn't interest me very much but it's not actively unpleasant and it's suitable for basically all casual occasions except when you absolutely have to be scent free. Very confused as to why this is called a neo-chypre, it's like the prototypical floral woody musk.

Dawnya7b

This smells like paper on a tester strip and it’s so weak. From the nozzle it smells meh! On skin it’s divine! Like out of this world. The scent bubble and scent trail is gorgeous. I can’t get enough it’s so yummy and sexy I just cant

defacto911

@Swedelish said that this perfume is different in different humidity, temperature etc. I will add it is different in days of my menstrual cycle, also when I showerd and immediately apply it, or it passed Like 2 hours, or 10 hours. Also when I am under stress it is different. On some days I am nose blind to it, on other days i can feel it for 12 hours on and off without sniffing it on purpose. I think domination of musk does this to a perfume. But still it is my all time favourite. And I have expensive niche perfumes, a lot of designer perfumes, but this continues to be my favourite. And I am vanilla coconut amber girl, and also but Kurkdijan fan

jhindsb

Ok, ok. I retract my scathing review from a few weeks back. I revisited this fragrance and, well, I really like it. I don’t love it, the opening is not my favorite. But the dry down is sublime. The musk is beautiful, so enveloping, the woody base gives it a distinct edge that takes it up a notch. It’s not mature or outdated, but very sophisticated and elegant. I would love to smell this lingering on a scarf or a wool coat. Signature worthy for sure, the fragrance equivalent to the little black dress - it feels classic and quite timeless, a nice departure from the overly sweet, the fruity, the gourmands that are so prevalent right now.

Update: there is something so absolutely addictive about this. Currently purchasing a bottle to have in my collection, it’s officially a staple.

Sugoibee

When I smelled this perfume for the first time I was like: wow this is a disgusting and annoying old smell. I thought I would never like this perfume. But it wasn't what I expected, I LOVED İT. GOD! THIS IS ONE OF THE SEXIEST PERFUMES I'VE EVER SMELLED. ABSOLUTELY NO JOKE. It changed on my skin and turned into a wonderful scent, I was so crazy that I fainted right there HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH The balance of sharpness, floral notes and patchouli I want is exactly in this perfume I will buy the full size and Narciso love you xx

freshperfumer

I know that this is a award winning scent, but the EDT version leaves a trail on the skin after some minutes later that it has some sort of a sweaty, after sport-type-of-girl that has sweated and some sort of a dirty sense for me. Unfortunately that is the sense I got from that perfume.

jhindsb

Really synthetic and plastic-y. For some reason I’m getting a jammy rose in the dry down but it’s not blended well at all. I must not like the osmanthus because something about it is just extremely off putting to me. Like i tense up every time I get a whiff of it.

danilodeathayde

What I notice the most are red roses with green undertones. Like a plump, fresh rose, dew-kissed, still on its sappy stem. (Is there something in the rose that suggests musk? The impression this perfume gave me says yes.)
There's the citric aspect of chypre, but from the get-go, what I mainly sense is a velvety delight.
Its dry down makes me better understand the term "skin scent" given to certain musks, but even here, I can't differentiate this musk from the rose (indeed, one of the many facets of the rose is a certain animalistic quality). But now, this rose scent seems mixed with lilies as if something in between the two flowers.
I tested it alongside the EdP, and this one has such a stronger rose scent that it could be called RoseBomb or something similar. It nearly indistinguishably reminds me of some essential rose oils I have.

It gives me that feeling of something more intimate, like a Dior Homme Intense or an Essencial Único Feminino, strong, yet close to the skin. However, here, somewhat paradoxically, it feels like an "open" fragrance. Intimate, but open.
It doesn't strike me as the bombastic perfume some claim it to be. On the contrary. I find it quite simple, almost minimalist. Warm skin and a rose-lily fusion.

Ghaith Shakaroun

This is the signature scent of my best friend who convinced me of buying NR Bleu Noir when we tested it. She loves NR perfumes a lot.
The musk in this is very sexy, which comes off her skin a bit harsh but flowery and a bit sweet as well. At times it comes as dry-musk specially in the car but not animalic, more like a very clean body odour that is sensual and raw. It's not a beast-mode type of scent, which serves the purpose of being dedicated towards the sexy, classic, confident but reserved and elegant woman at the same time.
The perfume is not old-school or skanky; it's just a modern re-interpretation of some classic concepts about female perfumes.
It's on the edgy side but doesn't go too far. It's flowery and sweet but too much. The perfumer created a contrast in this perfume more than a balance between the notes; and that's the beauty of it.
I would say it's a raw musk that's dyed with flowery and sweet notes. However if u don't like musk it's definitely not your perfume.
This is definitely timeless. I can imagine a woman in a classic French noir movie wearing it as much as Charlize Theron in our modern days. It just takes the right beauty and taste for it.

Lotte_Liese

I tested the Narciso Rodriguez for her that comes in the pink bottle a few months ago, wasn't wowed, but found it pleasant enough. I found out there was another iteration and decided to give this one a try. I have to say that I like it even less than the EDP version.
The opening is sharp citrus and orange flower and as it dries down it becomes musky, yet retains it's white floral bearing. There is some earthiness from the patchouli that serves the white floral accords well.
This is uncomplicated, fresh and musky fragrance that is an easy reach sort. I think this will work perfectly for anyone who likes fragrances along the lines of Burberry London for her, it has that elegant white floral bearing that is ageless and tasteful. People might not like your fragrance for themselves, but they'll certainly appreciate it for its charm.
I as well can appreciate it, but I certainly don't find it full bottle worthy for myself. Musc poudrée remains my preferred narciso fragrance.

Update: Retested after a week and I find this to be a very pleasant white floral musk with mildly earthy patchouli. I'm liking it more and more. I don't know if it's because the weather is warmer today than it was when I had my first test wear but I find it very lovely. A definite 'like'.

BrittXo

A sophisticated, sensual, and alluring fragrance. THe bottle is so chic as well! This is a light, floral musk with a hint of warmth and slight vanilla. Perfect for date night or even to wear to the office/work.

cyprusmum

Fell in love with the subtle, but oh so enticing layers of this perfume. Keep coming back to it. A definite keeper!

Faverinsky

Omg I've renewed my love again for this perfume... 15 years I go, I bought it as I LOVED the scent, however so did all my girlfriends and a few of them did not suit it (it smelt super musky/manly on them). I stopped wearing it eventually, convinced that it was too strong/mature for me, and gifted what was left of my 100ml bottle to a friend. Today, tired of the endless fruitchuli/gourmand/honey&almond bombs I've been collecting for many years, I found myself searching for a unique blend of flowers, vanilla, musk, and patchouli, a more grown-up, stronger, and spicier juice (because my beloved Mademoiselle Intense does not suit the icy Christchurch winter weather)... and what do you know, Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDT was waiting for me at barely over $100 (NZ) for the 50ml... this time I WILL WEAR IT (not the other way round).

Eau de Cola

I'm always looking for "love at first sniff" and am addicted to buying samples from eBay to find such scents. In this batch, I received Dolce by D&G and this... and Narciso Rodriquez have scored a home run again! My signature scent and favourite perfume in all the world is their Pure Musc. And this to me is like it's much sweeter sister! I'm no good at describing scents, so I'll just say it's floral, sweet and totally feminine. It will be up there with Pure Musc - but I have to say doesn't quite beat it at this point. I will definitely be buying a large bottle though! I'm going to make sure I sample ALL the Narciso Rodriguez perfumes because they clearly are a favourite of mine.

Seducianne

@HannasRosesAreRed: a whole lot of people are anosmic to musk. While you might not perceive it anymore, the ones around you definitely will.
Try to check by sampling more musk based fragrances. You might notice there’s several you can’t smell.

electric_evelyn

I love this scent, but sadly several people have told me that it smells like something their aunt or grandma would wear 🫤
That is just a pity!

Leaving that aside, I perceive it as a clean and musky floral, almost narcotic in a way. By comparison, SJP's Lovely is "dirtier" and the martini note is obvious in it.

Vyn

This is definitely a perfume more meant for the winter. The longetivity in winter is literally days. For me this lasts for 2 days on clothes. Very powdery, a very dark and mature scent. Bergamot, musk and powder definitely come through the most. Powdery smell fades over a couple hours. I love this scent and I really think this is a grown womans perfume.

HannahRosesAreRed

I don't get it. I hear so many people rant and rave about this perfume and Narciso Rodriguez in general. I tested Musc Rose Noir–and it vanished on my skin instantly. I chalked it up to a defective tester.

So I tried For Her today–and lo and behold, same result. A strong, reasonably likable fragrance–for all of one minute. Then, nothing. It just completely disappeared. I can't say I was super crazy about the fragrance either–musk, patchouli, osmanthus and a little bergamot, sweet but quite sour and assertive, at least for the minute it lasted. Like Givenchy L'Interdit, but more pungent–and without the impressive performance.

Am I missing something? Is it possible that BOTH testers were defective? Or is there something about these formulations that just vanishes on my skin? Or are Narciso Rodriguez perfumes just really that poor-performing? This is a hard "no" for me.

sarahlage

I received a sample of this in Paris and finally tried it on myself today. It’s not profoundly awful or offensive to the nose, but for me it is way too mature and powdery. There is almost a heaviness to the musk in this scent that I dislike. I was sadly disappointed by this fragrance.

luanneog

To me it smells old lady like. Powdery, floral, musky and clean. Kind of a spa like smell. Reminds me of the smell of makeup too. Honestly, it's pretty generic yet not cheap smelling. A bit mature, vintage and somewhat dated.

Lovaloo

Scroll down for my full review. I have more thoughts on this one.

The progression is pleasant, There are days when I enjoy this fragrance, but the florals can be screechy and the patchouli often smells too sharp for my liking. I wish the notes in Narciso Rodriguez came together in a more harmonious way. It's a bit too abrasive and it doesn't agree with me. After I use up my decant I will not be getting a bottle.

Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely gives me headaches more often than not, unfortunately I have to declutter it. Strangely I do not have this problem with Narciso, I have never gotten a headache from this perfume.

I plan on testing other options, first and foremost Lauder's Modern Muse and Guerlain's Idylle. I like this modern style of musk perfume, with florals and patchouli, I badly want an iteration that I can enjoy and wear.

Arth Guerra

I picture an “old money” mom / young lady / feminine boy, wearing this seductive and elegant scent, very much like a vintage European movie

Lotuswave

Am I crazy? Why I smell bitter tea from this one? It is like childhood memory when I was in China, everyone is drinking tea, tea smell everywhere....I love it :D

zekariah

is this too feminine for a male to wear?

Lili1105

Paradoxically, EDT has more depth than EDP, but also more intensity. It goes more into space. It is sweeter, more powdery, more woody. During the development, I also smell some fruit somewhere on the way from the head to the heart, although I don't know where it comes from, but everyone's nose is different. Anyway, the amber adds sweetness and depth and the base is warmer than the EDP. The base is woody-creamy musk. At the beginning, the EDT is sharper, but the base is surprisingly pleasantly creamy. Patchouli is not overpowering and not unpleasant. I would describe the EDP as a light creamy floral-pink skinscent and the EDT as a woody-floral sexy musk. In my opinion, EDT is more interesting, but also a bit unisex, EDP is on other site very feminine, but simpler. But there is no reason not to have both. Both are beautiful and interesting. Both are wearable almost everywhere. I bought both...i love them

morphoevgenia

I see why people see in this perfume so many images: office worker, ceo, mother, wife, antie, etc. This fragrance is everything and nothing at the same time. It is everything you need it to be. You can make it work in any environment, and everyone gonna like as long as they like the person wearing it. It does not have its own personality.

It is clean musk with some indistinctive florals. It is your skin but better. A bit powdery, clean but not freshly out of the shower. Like what my mom would has smelled like when she was back from her work. On my skin, it smells like Moschino`s Cheap and Chic. It is pleasant, nice, safe, and unisex. Not for me, because I like my perfume to be quirky.

WingedCube

On first spray, I have only one thought. Your fave auntie's (church) perfume. You know, the one with the black fur coat, that doesn't look her age, always looks put together and refuses to leave home without wearing lipstick? That's her, perhaps when she was a bit younger. Very heady perfume. Personally, it does give me a bit of a headache, but I can see the appeal. As it dries down, It does have a certain sensuality though. Very unique. The black colour of the bottle is definitely spot on

Tinabill

NRfH goes through three very distinct phases on me, and it’s as if the note pyramid is upside down!
First blast I get mostly vetiver and a clean white musk. It’s sharp and somewhat loud and verging androgynous. This is a successful woman at her corporate job. This stage lasts for around an hour then gradually it softens to the next.
For the most of its stay, NRfH is a warmer, sweeter and more sensual musk. Sensual as in clean, warm skin, cozy under the comforter, a bit seductive for hubby (without being scandalous IMO) as well as being welcoming for the young kiddos to jump into the bed and have a hug.
I was surprised by the third stage which showed up maybe 6-7 hours later. I kept getting whiffs of a fresh, elegant and delicate orange blossom note. How come it’s showing up now? It seems to be passing a message that this woman is confident at work, warm at home but always young at heart❤️
I have to admit that it took me a while to understand the hype around NRfH. You see, we have glorious locally produced musks in my country, and at affordable prices (of all shades from the cleanest laundry musk to the darkest animalic musk, and in all forms, pure oils to solid cubes, and everywhere from the street vendors to the niche shops). So I thought NRfH was an overpriced overhyped product. But in all honesty our musks, though beautiful, are very linear, they don’t tell a story. This is where Narciso Rodriguez for Her won me over. Adorable

apfelix13

It smells vintage, musky and sexy. Beautiful fragrance.

desturner866

Now I see why so many people rave about NR musks. This is my new favorite fragrance. It works for every day. Every occasion. I’m love with the way it melds with my chemistry and creates a warm, clean, but somehow sensual aura around me. I like that it’s noticeable without trying too hard.

cats_eye

Smells so good. Nice and clean. This is a totally unisex scent. Probably one of the most unique as well. It definitely borrows from chypres of the past. Very soapy, almost like Safeguard bar soap but warmer.. It smells like warmed skin after bathing and going outside. Woods, musk and soft florals. Some may think it's like a grandma but she must be a nice smelling grandma. I will always love this one. I wish I could find a body wash and lotion with this smell.

BlackAmberMoon

Stunning. It's been around a long time, but I've only just recently added it to my collection. I can see the comparison to Lovely, but this EDT is much richer and nuanced. Beautiful musk punctuated by breezy light florals, grounded by a delicious amber vanilla. Sexy and sophisticated with a bad girl edge. I'm usually an oriental/gourmand lover, but this will be my go-to all summer.

Brittany1122

I found this for $37 at a beals outlet store. 30 mL bottle. I’ve had it on my “to try” list for a while but was worried it wouldn’t be my thing. I know it’s been around for years but never got around to smelling it. I love it. It’s musky but it just comes off differently to me than other typical musks I’ve smelled. I am very pleased.

Clairexoxo

Creamy musk, sweet osmanthus-orange blossom, and some warmth from the amber. I want to say this is "airy" rather than fresh. It is unique and feminine. As it dries down, the vetiver adds even more dimension to the scent. The musk is very particular and will not be everyone cup of tea. Quite potent for an EDT, sadly it is too much for me and gives me a headache every time I wear it. So wearing this is not an enjoyable experience, but I can see why this is liked by others.

joy3141

One of my all time favorites. As time passes, I get random hints of incense and headshop and clean. It's great layered with Pure Musc too.

snoopy2

I get hair spray but I can see nail polish remover too. Floral and astringent. Maybe the sweet notes will soften it over time but for now, it’s not for me.

helenfran

On paper I should love this perfume as I'm a white floral, musk and citrus lover normally. I also adore SJP Lovely, which so many reviews say is similar (but has only a fraction of the longevity/sillage)... so why does For Her leave me with a headache and slightly nauseated? I'm guessing it must be the vanilla as that isn't a feature of Lovely, which I find a much fresher, cleaner scent

Ruby Galore

Reminds me of Kevin Murphy hair oil. I think the osmantus and amber give that slightly fruity scent.

Melis.t

There's a weird chemical scent reminiscent of nail polish remover in this perfume, which is so nauseating. I find it dated and screechy. Blind buy fail :/

Indianrunnerduck

Subhuman, did you have the black bottle or the pink bottle? I was just looking to buy some on the back of your review and there seem to be two...

Swedelish

The EDT has been a mainstay in my collection since 2013. I can't be without it. It is my perfect comfort scent that translates a bit differently depending on the temperature, humidity, etc, but always smells distinct and incredible. I wear it casually or more dressed up. It really has no bounds as far as occasion goes. It creates a beautiful soft cloud of scent that lingers all day.

I don't care for many musks, but NR has long mastered theirs. The EDT is a classic; the most balanced out of the whole range - a hint of orange blossom, fluffy osmanthus, amber, vanilla, and of course the musk. Patchouli doesn't come through much for me, it just grounds those other notes and adds some earthiness. That and the vetiver.

The bottle is beautiful. It's heavy and I love the black. There's nothing not to love about it. I have noticed the text on newer bottles looks a bit different- The words "Narciso Rodriguez For Her" seem to take up more space on the front of the bottle than before. It's a small thing, but I prefer the look of the smaller text on the face of the bottle. It looked more chic that way.

Rhageg

My first Narciso fragrance was for her in this black bottle. It was actually my wedding fragrance and a blind buy. A friend suggested it for me and it easily became my signature scent for years to come. After i ran out, I tried pure musk in the white bottle and obsessed over that for a while. I recently repurchased the black bottle simply because of my love for it and the memories i made wearing this fragrance. I can see this being a stable in my fragrance collection for a long time coming.

Minasou

Creamy musk with a sprinkling of champagne. Very agreeable. Smells like your best friend.

theperfumequeentiktok

I was always one of those people that would turn their nose up at an edt UNTIL I got into fragrance more & learnt (& still learning) heaps. This fragrance is beautiful. It lasts longer on me than the EDP & this one has better juice/notes for sure. It’s super comforting, literally like you’re being hugged. Very underrated in my opinion.

rosesandmilk

This is just so woman. Sophisticated, classy, mature, independent. Truly the queen of my little collection. It's so unique and special, I don't even pick up on any particular note in here (well, except for musk) it just smells like For her. This is a perfume you can't describe, you have to smell it yourself. I got this as a sample years ago and fell in love and I've been in love ever since. I don't reach for this one often though, it's the one perfume I still don't know if I wear or if it wears me but I adore it anyway. The definition of beast mode. When I wear this I spray one time and walk in to it and it still smells strongly and lasts forever. Masterpiece.

amorfati

sharp and sensual. it starts with a sexy bang and lingers on and on with a floral muskiness to die for. my favourite fragrance overall so far, and i'm not sure how this could be surpassed

mikacorra247

I had a bad experience with the other Narciso in the black bottle with transparent cap and thought, "If this is how Narciso Rodriguez' signature musk smells like, this whole house might not be for me." But seeing all the hype surrounding NR For Her EDT made me curious so I bought a sample, thinking it would be just as headache-inducing as the black cube EDT. Boy I was wrong! I finally understand why people describe it as sensual. There is just something so sexy about this perfume. It smells so womanly. It has a different kind of sweetness that comes from the white florals & amber, as opposed to sweetness from notes like caramel, praline and all that. You also don't need to spray much for it to last.

I can see how people find this heady and headache-inducing though. So just try it before buying.

disintigratedwoman

I've had this perfume (EDT, black bottle) in my collection for almost 10 years. It used to be my signature - would wear it to the office as well as when going out, and would get compliments frequently. My boyfriend at the time loved it on me. With time I grew out of it, but I still held onto the bottle. I just tried it on my skin again for the first time in years and am in awe at how beautiful it is. It's the perfect combination of musk and florals (particularly orange blossom). It's sophisticated, but very sexy at the same time. Someone below commented that it's a grown up version of Glossier's "You" and I couldn't agree more - although it's also much more longer lasting than that one. May just add this back into my regular rotation :)

alternateu

Classy, feminine, flirty floral musk.
To me, more musky than it is floral. Its florals are light, non-offensive, white florals. Somehow both clean and sexy at the same time. Moderate to good longevity (about 7 hours) and good projection - had a colleague buy it after smelling it on me.
Dries very slightly sweet, with the perfect amount of vanilla, without ever smelling juvenile or dated.
Smells like a woman who has her business down pat, mysterious, feminine, put together.

Compared with:
SJP's Lovely - SJP's Lovely is slightly sharper, and very slightly screechier. Lovely is more suitable for work, and has less of that "sultry, dirty musk" vibe.
For Her EDP - Much less musk. EDP is beautiful in its own right, but not as flirtatious or mischievous.

Lovaloo

I have tried and retried Narciso Rodriguez EDT for a few years now, I enjoy the perfume but I don't know how often I'd wear this. I've tested it alongside its dupes as well as other musk perfumes. Here are my thoughts.

There's a reason this perfume comes in a sleek black bottle. It is best described as a contemporary take on a carnal musk. The Narciso Rodriguez brand remakes the sensual musks of 1970s hippie culture, for modern noses. Something to that effect.

The average perfume wearer doesn't like filth, at least they think they don't, so what we smell here is time-based deception. Initially it evokes freshly laundered clothing: soapy, floral, and clean. After 10 minutes it's subtly skeevy, with a noticeably rough, dirty orange blossom in the heart. After an hour or so what you're left with is an effective and lethal base of amber, patchouli, woody notes, and a big dose of sensual musks.

This strange, fuzzy combination of clean soapy florals, cheap orange blossom, shrill patchouli, and the 1970s woody ambery musk blend is somewhat rough, but it works. It spans great distances, is eminently warm, and it smells great. Some people say it's more feminine due to the florals, some say it's more masculine due to the woods, patchouli, and animalic musk base. I think it can work very well as a unisex option. If you want to feel sexy, give it a try.

My two favorite musks are the original Jovan Musk for Women and Kiehl's Musk. Narciso Rodriguez EDT is a bit more expensive than these, but it is a more modern smelling, cleaner alternative that is just as good. A worthwhile investment. I consider this one a must-try for musk lovers.

Relating to similar perfumes:

SJP Lovely is a cleaner, softer, smoother, and soapier version of this perfume, with the heart being clean laundry florals like violet, lotv, and magnolia instead of crude orange blossom. It is linear and doesn't last quite as long, but it still smells, well, lovely.

Tocca Cleopatra is more similar to SJP Lovely than Narciso Rodriguez. Instead of a lavender top note like Lovely, it has a grapefruit top note.

colostomybag

At first, it was smelling like a bathroom to me. and not a very clean bathroom. but when you give it some time to let it soak into your skin, warm up and whatnot it smells great. its sensual, bold, and smells... delicious i guess haha. not in a gourmand way, but i dont know. i just wanna take a bite out of my wrists, which is where i sprayed it.

kaiiseu

smells exactly like my dogs pawfume shampoo in royal lavender 😭

SophiaViolette

Opening is musky, bouquet of white florals, pretty generic but not cheap smelling nor low quality.
Weak projection, sillage and longevity, need to spray at least 6 times to get a real sense of the perfume.

However, this is worth a good try on skin, I liked how this worked well with my skin and revealed musky-patchouli notes at dry-down.

Beautiful and musky, very simple yet interesting. I think it is just a perfect every day, every occasion, go-to type of perfume. May become a signature scent easily. It is long lasting but rather intimate, blends well with your natural scent and also with other fragrances. Totally full bottle worthy!

PeacefulSunshine

This was the first NR I experienced. I liked it very much as I love the floral and musk combo! :)

... but then I tried the EDP and I fell absolutely in love. Reading the description above, it makes sense. This EDT is definitely on the more sexual, assertive side whereas the EDP is more on the sensual, softer romantic side (which my cottagecore self identifies more with). The vetiver in this one also makes the scent a bit too sharp and astringent, as vetiver tends to do for me compared to the EDP which is like being enveloped in a cozy warm cloud.

This is definitely a cool girl type of vibe. Extroverted and likes being in charge. I definitely respect women (and men!) who wear it. I would love being their complementary introverted, dreamy, good-listener supportive friend. :)

theperfumelibrarian

This smells like the adult, sexy version of Glossier You. Musky, powdery, but not too mature

vookiely

smells safely vintage, a good outing perfume for the girlies who want to smell vaguely older but not too old. very ambery and powdery.

Anabee

I gave this one another try, after following the most beautiful trail of someone who told me it’s Narciso Rodriguez “the black one”.
I had a bottle of this ready for resell. Took it back into my collection. The strange thing with this perfume is, for me it doesn’t smell pleasant on first spray. To me it smells chemically and screechy, but on clothes it leaves the most delicious, beautiful and most well- rounded smell for days. Whenever I wear this fragrance, I want to inhale my sweater or top at the end of the day and people in my surrounding are obsessed with it, too. It’s a sexy smell but in a refined way. Works well as a unisex fragrance for women as well. It’s not overtly feminine.

EDIT: For those who can’t stand the initial “laundry detergent/soapy/chemical” -smell .. try to layer it with Estée Lauder’s Modern Muse. These two are quite similar and blend well. What the one lacks the other one has and vice versa. Modern Muse is pleasant from the first moment but lacks lasting power. It will give NR a great introduction and fades just when NR gets really good. win/win.

Trishalalalala

One of the big NO perfumes of my collection. Lasting power-nil, fragrance-generic clean, slightly powdery, memorable-no.

PSA: it is a lighter version of Gucci Rush.

Elfin Will

It's a NO for me. When you first test this perfume, you will love it. So light, feminine, fresh and clean. But 5 minutes later, on the skin, the evolution of the fragrance is quite the opposite. Oh my God! The musk is too strong for my sensitive nose, and sticks to my skin all day and gives me a headache. Personally, I don't like strong musky perfumes, I find musk too synthetic these days, and here, the evolution of musk with amber and vetiver... it's a catastrophe.

4/10 just for the beautiful bottle and the nice opening of the perfume.

schatzrose

My first adult perfume. Confident, sexy, clean and somehow unisex, well maybe not necessarily the perfume itself but I picture a masculine looking, coolest girl in the party wearing this. Oh and she is wearing a white t-shirt, skinny jeans and a black leather jacket.

PixieDevil

I don’t know why I bought a travel spray of this on Mercari, but I did. Perhaps, it was only a few dollars more than a sample vial and my practical side told me it was a deal. Anyways, Narciso Rodriguez for Her now sits on my perfume tray and I don’t know what to think of her. She opens with bright, crisp florals, bringing to mind a sunny yellow, and then develops into a strong, soapy musk that I have smelled before. We’ve crossed paths, but she’s not a scent I would’ve made room on my tray for. I find her sharp, yet versatile. I don’t get the other notes, just floral, strong soap and musk. I think she needs layering with something sweet in order to afford that small space she is occupying!

autumnblue914

Tried at a store.

On my skin - something akin to a very strong smelling soap. In the air it just smells unpleasant. Unsure how it came to this, as the skin was clean. Just skin chemistry I guess.

A disappointment given that I liked the other Narciso fragrances (Ambrée and Poudree) and that they smell well on me.

Leesome

Reminds me of Byredo's Velvet Haze (which I love), but more floral. To me, this is the best designer floral musk, maybe my favorite floral musk. The drydown is just gorgeous. On my skin, it's soft, warm, not super feminine, and a little dirty. Lasts 8hrs on me. Works best in cold/mild weather. There are days when I am ready to put on a niche fragrance, but find myself reaching for Her instead; my nose has really been craving it lately.

rezzmail

Bars, clubs, the back of a guy's car, and more clubs...Narciso Rodriguez for Her has been a staple of nearly every wild night out for me. It fits every occasion regardless of the season or time; even though I traditionally never wear this as a day scent.

I am usually one for either vintage florals, ambery roses, or cathedral-worthy ouds. Basically I like to smell like a blast from the past whether it's 80 years or 200. But sometimes I need something a bit generic in the least derogatory sense.

So I stumble across NRFH due to those videos of 20-something year old girls in France carrying a full bottle of a given flanker in their purses. Felt like the perfect vanity staple for my college years in the city from then on out. A powdery, ambery musk that smells like clean, powdered skin fresh from the shower. Me, but better and a crowd- pleaser to boot.

linn.derella

This is a no for me. I blind bought a full bottle because people wrote it reminded them of Rituals' now discontinued Voyage en Inde - which was a favorite of mine. And I just don't smell it, I don't understand how anyone made that connection. So first impression was disappointment.

This just smell like soap to me. Clean and fresh, but generic soap. It's not that it's bad in anyway, just not what I'm looking for. And it's also just a skin scent on me.

NouveauDruid

My beloved bottle turned 15 years old last year and she is better than ever. From day one, NR has succeeded at the perfect blend of musky, floral, vanilla, and woody yet for years I didn't reach for her because to my nose she was so strong and powerful. Perhaps it took my own maturing to handle this beauty. Unlike others reviewing here, I don't detect much rose. This is an orange blossom-osmanthus sweetness tempered by a bit of powder, a bit of amber, and a touch of patchouli. She's too projecting for summer and too evocative of a full greening for fall, so I think she blooms best in late winter and all of spring. She's actually unexpected on occasions like dates, where your chosen man might expect a cloud of Cloud or Prada Candy. As with Tom Ford Velvet Orchid, I not only receive compliments but a visible body language response of drawing closer. It's not a good blind buy but for those who crave something deep and unique, do find a sample or decant. To summarize, I keep saying "she" and "her" in this post because she's just like a woman.

sarahtheperfumelover

I think I understand what people are smelling when they refer to this as “dated”. If I spray it and smell it right away that’s when I smell something that could be interpreted as dated. But when I catch whiffs of this it doesn’t smell dated at all. It smells floral, yes, but also clean and kind of hard to pinpoint. Very sexy.

There’s something about this (the edt) that makes me feel cool and chic. It’s one of the first clean girl aesthetic fragrances and was a trail blazer at the time. That pinch of vanilla in the base? Mmm. Keeps it from becoming sterile. This is one of those fragrances that if I’ve sprayed it on my clothes and smell it days later, it’s sooo good. It makes me feel poised and professional, but is also relaxed and approachable. A love.

ConcreteRose

This is a classy scent. Almost reminds me of Coco Noir just a tinch! Not that they smell the same but they give off that classic seductive vibe. I kind of go nose blind to this! I literally feel as if the scent has disappeared. Does this happen to anyone else?

Jordan 99

I’m surprised that there is no leather in perfume, could be ostmanthus so strong in here that reminds me of leather seats?

silverlocusts

To me this is a very inoffensive scent that could easily be worn by anyone. It does feel a little dated, but I think with time it will become more and more classic. The fact of the matter is that the base of amber and musk used here has become a base for so many other fragrances that it feels a little flat. That said, it obviously is great for layering and could be a solid workhorse for someone in a low-smell-tolerance space like a school.

Bolenn

This used to be my signature scent almost 15 years ago. Originally I wanted to buy the EDP version which is softer, a bit sweeter perhaps and more feminine, in the good girl way. I cannot really remember why (I guess thanks to a good deal) I ended up to pick the EDT finally. This is more sexy, still feminine but in a very self-confident way: you cannot ignore the person wearing this scent - however she needs to be able to wear it, Her does not fit anyone, in my opinion.
Back at the beginning of our relationship with Her, I was just at the beginning of a love relationship, also, so wearing Her as a daytime signature scent was also fine - I felt sexy, confident, desired, vibrant yet adult and sophisticated and this scent was created exactly for such women.

Since then that love ended and so did my close relationship with Her: I've really grown up, my taste has changed a lot, nowadays I'm much more into softer, cleaner scents with a "purity" vibe, not really wanting to put myself into "limelight" anymore. But still she has a place in my perfume wardrobe, whenever I want to feel a bit sexy and desirable, I always pick Her from my collection (of some 200 scents).

brainbomb

Musky amber opening then transforms into a bouquet of roses. Beautiful.

ellapage

This was a slow burn, leisurely building kind of love for me. The opening and first impression isn't why I fell for Her. What got me is the way this fragrance slowly softens and hugs your skin leaving a stunning smooth, creamy aura on you. It took me quite a few tries to really smell the beauty of this scent. At first I thought it was too sharp and not what i was looking for and what i was promised. Something kept bringing me back to test Her and each try I liked Her more. And then it hit me hard and i knew i had to add this to my collection. After a while the scent turns into what i wish my natural skin scent would be: like I've been wearing a cashmere sweater all day, showered with a luxurious floral soap and under all that, i just naturally happen to smell fantastic and alluring. And my goodness the scent just gets better when some of it has clinged to my clothes. I almost don't want to switch my shirt for the new day because I still have Her all over my clothes. Love😍🤌

soapycast

I cannot explain with words how much I love this perfume. It is the perfect sexy skin-like powdery musk I’ve been searching for. This is the perfume that allowed musk to usurp vanilla’s role as my favourite note. Classy, sensual, clean, warm goodness. I can’t say enough good things.

Youlerie

"Gossip Girl" will certainly say something to one or the other lady between the ages of 25 and 30: It is the US hit series that made privileged bitches from New York's upper class role models. And man, did I love this show as a teen! It combines everything that makes my heart beat faster with the cultivated and cosmopolitan New York City vibe, the pronounced fashion awareness and a big portion of DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA!

Already during the first few episodes of Season 1, a certain fashion-dictatorial and ambitious pretty brunette named Blair becomes the darling of the entire fandom, and yet Blair represents everything that's abhorrent about the Upper East Side: she's an academic high achiever, sly, elitist, snobby , very image-conscious and appears extremely unapproachable. As a viewer, however, you quickly learn to love and sympathize with Blair, because unlike the other main female character, Serena, Blair never pretends to be an angel and is well aware of her (many) weaknesses. Warmth and vulnerability often peek through her Ice Queen facade. Also, Queen B just had the best and funniest one-liners in the series!

After the "For Her (Eau de Toilette) | Narciso Rodriguez" finally arrived as a blind buy and I sniffed the scent, this "New York elite" association was immediately evoked in me. The fragrance screams sophistication, sophistication and "expensive" in the sense of old money and not nouveau riche! It radiates a certain coolness at first and then flows into a "clinking warmth" (I know, sounds totally paradoxical). In addition, it is clean without being too soapy and pleasantly powdery without being too sweet - feminine but with a certain bite! I don't even need to refer to the wonderful processing of the musk in the typical Narciso manner!

In my opinion, the wearer of this fragrance is definitely a self-confident, stylish and smart city woman who knows what she wants, takes what she wants, sometimes offends, but doesn't lose her femininity - a Blair Waldorf!

law&perfume

I initially thought I could tolerate this, but I really dislike the florals in it - especially the osmanthus. It is VERY strong on the yellow & white florals and a bit screechy.

Repogirl

Such a polarizing scent - a love or hate, hell yes or no...The patchouli in this is nuclear, and I hate patchouli most of the time. But I love this - how odd!! It's a beautiful symphony with my chemistry.

lanaelanore

this is the fragrance I’ve been looking for, I’m so in love. This is probs gonna be one of my signature scents now. It’s one of those fragrances that you smell in public, fall in love with but you can’t tell what exactly the notes are/what it is. Even though it’s an odt it’s super long lasting, I love it!! I would describe the scent as classy, sexy, feminine and seductive. It really is giving dark feminine vibes. It definitely has a mature “lady like” smell to it, which I love and was looking for. It’s not masculine at all, it is musky - but the powdery notes “smooth” it out and make it this really nice, creamy, floraly sweet vanilla scent. There’s some sweetness and vanilla in there, but it is not overpowering and not too noticeable (for the reference: usually I am not the biggest fan of floraly scents, I’d rather go for the sweet, gourmand ones). It’s perfect for a night out, but also good for everyday wear. It’s not overwhelmingly heavy, but you shouldn’t put too much because it can be pretty intense.
Get ready, dress up, feel yourself and be hot with this fragrance. This is what it embodies to me, but I understand when people think it might be too much for them to wear. It’s definitely gonna draw in attention 💗

Halcyon0409

This is the perfume that revealed to me how much I dislike scents that have a lot of musk. Initially, I liked this perfume, but the more I wore it, the more the musk note became cloying, choking and overbearing. It just overtook my experience with the perfume. And then this musk is mixed with strong generic smelling florals which just does not help at all and just amplifies the overwhelming and excessive nature of the perfume. Really not for me.

Delphina

This fragrance is painful to smell. It's much too overpowering on pretty much everyone who has ever worn it around me. In 2017 my sister wore this during one of her visits at my place and she decided to leave her bottle in the bathroom. It made the bathroom difficult to breathe in. Even bottled it was too potent for a small, enclosed space. Then to my surprise she gifted me this same scent for my birthday. Because she'd gone out of her way to give it to me I gave it a try and almost gagged. It was just so extreme. I then sold it to someone who liked the fragrance based off a sample and the second she put it on everyone in the room looked like the air had just been poisoned. To make matters worse I started smelling this everywhere and not once did it seem like something the wearer was wearing. Instead the perfume was wearing them.

Manci

This is one of my favourite fragrance. It works really well on me. Whenever i would like to feel confident, feminime in a professional way, I choose this. In my opinion this scent is very uniqe and complex, I always get so much compliment whenever I wear it.

BerryRose

I added some very nostalgic perfumes to autumn fragrance wardrobe this year. Throughout my late teens and twenties I always wanted to buy Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle and Narciso Rodriguez's for her EDT. I could never afford either and now I can. I have many memories of spraying either of these whenever I was in a department store or a Sephora.

To be honest I don't think I could have completely have pulled this fragrance off when I was younger, Narciso Rodriguez for her EDT is sexy, sensual, and seductive. The patchouli is quite bold, almost masculine, so you have to be a woman confident in your sensuality to pull this off.

Narciso Rodriguez describes the fragrance as "sensual, clean, and modern" which I partly disagree with. Sensual, absolutely, but clean? Absolutely not. I don't think the dark, earthiness and woodiness of patchouli could ever be described as "clean". To me patchouli has a dirtiness which is what makes it sexy. It's a perfect fragrance for a night out but can definitely be worn during the day. The bottle is gorgeous and since it's opaque it's perfect for preserving the scent. If you love chypres, patchouli, or sexy scents I highly recommend this.

jajakapitan

Beautiful scent that makes a woman feel sophisticated and sexy - or at least it does for me.

bissou

This perfume is unbelievably nice. When I wear it I feel so sexy, warm, very class woman! The Musk and the flower notes behind give the perfume a very unique scent. So lovely and unique ❤️

airyfairy

I have the EDT and if I use any more than 1-2 sprays, it REEKS. If I spray it once, let it dry down, then I LOVE it, still lasts all day despite being an EDT. It's heavy, like walking through a garden full of white flowers after having sex and drinking a lemonade amongst the trees and flowers. It's very musky so if you use too much, it overwhelms completely. But if you use just a spray, everything is present and very well balanced. I also had to let mine age a little bit so if you're struggling with this scent, don't feel bad I was too! Give it a try again, one spray, let it dry down, and let the bottle age a bit.

Londonjasmin

This was my all time favourite, but the formula has changed quite a bit and it is no longer as potent as it once was. Sadly, it is now a watered down version of it's older self.

Hunnynpink

Sweet warm floral musk and patchouli. This is giving wealthy mature.

girldeadbug

Ew no. Mature musk and patchouli. Strong but not for me. Love the bottle, wish I loved the scent.

electric_evelyn

I felt I had to write this so other ladies know what to expect from this perfume.

This is a real bomb! Just two sprays and somebody will say that you’re wearing too much perfume. Nuclear projection and longevity.
The most airy-musky-floral I have ever had.

I would say it’s not necessarily a safe blind buy. Some people are sensitive to perfume and even lighter scents are perceived as strong.

Thykes10

I had high hopes for this since it seemed like such a universally loved fragrance. On the opening there is a nice citrus floral with musk and a hint of vanilla. It’s soft and understated, seemingly perfect for everyday. But it takes a turn in the dry down on my skin. There’s something sharp that is really noticeable if I put my nose to my skin. It’s enough to make this unpleasant for me. Not sure if it’s one of the notes of the dirty musk that people refer to but it comes off masculine and earthy.

MsAd89

One of my favorite fragrances. I discovered it thanks to a decant and since then everything was love. I find it extremely elegant, feminine, timeless, ageless. A scent that makes you feel well dressed and present without being overwhelming. The notes that stand out the most in me are the orange blossom with the musk and a slight vanilla. For me, the EDT beats the EDP a thousand times. The only time I don't use it is during summer with very high temperatures but for the rest of the year it works for me at all times and moments of the day. Beautiful.

LauraAD

Orange blossom and lily of the valley with the signature Narciso musk. Clean, delightful, warm. Lasts around 8h on skin. Beautiful.

KateWest

A skyscraper of vetiver and mirrored musk. On the top, fresh air and trumpeting floral poems of delicate kindness and devotion from the hearts of lovers as they soar with soft hands over a sombre sky.

Of the nearly 200 fragrances I own, this evokes the most emotion. Each note of this creation strikes a harmonic cord like a olfactive symphony. I find this so breathtakingly beautiful I can't often wear it; I save it for quiet, contemplative, and solitary moments.

nada.dia

Too musky too manish, if you love musks sort of of scents go for it. But this reminds me of carpets/drapes scented cleaners or fresheners if you live in the middle east like me which is ideal especially in prayer houses lol but not on my skin NOO. A big no for me

RobynCrabtree

Meh. I am underwhelmed by this one. It opens powdery and clean - like powdered laundry detergent. Within a few minutes, it turned into a very generic "mall scent". Girly, non-offensive, but generic base notes that don't make it stand out from the crowd.

Miasha

I am SO happy to FINALLY own this original as well as eight other of the lovely fragrances from Narciso Rodriguez!!
I do understand that some people seem to think there is rose in this one, because I think it is very similar to the For Her edp, just softer, warmer and rounder. So I could have thought the same.
Since this one is less sharp, in my opinion, I think this is more of an every day fragrance, compared to the edp. Lovely for all times of the day or night, depending on mood. For most times of the year - maybe not so much for winter. Very romantic, with some depth, and even some darkness and warmth in the middle of the light, bright innocense.
Needless to say, I love it!! So now I have got another necessity, another classic, in my wardrobe...

Naqwalan

My favourite Narciso. Classy, elegant, natural beauty. Perfect for both the office and going out whether during the day or the night. It is very musky but still feminine, soft and sensual at the same time. I currently have the 2022 limited edition of the EDT which comes in a sleek golden bottle. I wouldn't call this sweet - the EDP is much sweeter with the peach/rose top note that the EDT lacks. The EDT is perfect for all occasions and I find myself reaching for it a lot these days. Loved it 15 years ago and still love it now. It's interesting to see it being described as 'dated'. It's exactly the opposite to me. Very timeless. One spray is enough.

ririca

I was besotted by Pure Musc for Her so I thought about getting this one. After sampling it as well as the EDP version twice on the counter and deliberating for hours on end over the drydown, I was forced to admit I did not like this scent for the sole reason that it smells exactly like the Mena brand facial cream my aunt used to use in the Philippines, back in the '90s, to make her face look whiter. I associated it with cheapness and tackiness, and this fragrance just fell apart in my mind. I cannot appreciate any dimension or drydown it offers. All I can smell is the Mena.

Sticking to Pure Musc for Her / Absolue it instead.

ellovesperfume

Lovely by sarah jessica parker smells exactly the same and is 10x cheaper.

Rosemary14

I finally found a NR that I like! A few years ago I ordered the EDP blind from Sephora. I could barely smell it and all I did smell was a kind of oily rose. Then I had the Fleur Musc and it was a nice fresh peony, rose, and musk but it just wasn’t me. Then I tried the Ambre in the orangish bottle but I just found that one strange. The notes in this one work very well with the creamy signature musk. It’s like a fresh almost skin like out of the shower floral. It’s like fresh clean skin to me. It’s not soapy but fresh and yet sensual and soft. It’s understated and elegant and like very silky petals. I picture a young sexy model who looks effortlessly chic in a form fitting silk negligee just out of the shower with wet hair. I feel like you could almost get away with just claiming you smell like this naturally. Like you just smell like this from the bath products you use. This would be perfect for the office.

Heliga

This was my old signature, for a long time it was the only spray on fragrance that I used. I 100% got it because of the CBK connection, I remember hemming and hawing over my edp and edt samples but eventually realizing that I preferred the darker and spicier edt over the more floral edp. Back then Narciso Rodriguez wasn't available in my country so I couldn't try them in stores and I kind of loved that it was completely unique and nobody had anything like it. Then a couple of years after that SJP did Lovely which really took off and everyone was smelling like MY scent! And then NR took off over here and now it's in every store. I used to find that irritating, but now I really like it.

I still have half a full size bottle, but I haven't used it for years. After I started getting back into fragrances I was bored with this since I'd had it for such a long time. This isn't as intensely strong and spicy as my memory would have me believe, I've gotten more acclimated to that kind of scent and now I don't find this especially intense but it does have a distinctly intoxicating quality to it. I think it may be the white florals.

When I first started looking for a new fragrance (added about a hundred more since then, hehe) I wanted something SOFTER than this that other people wouldn't notice me wearing, I basically wanted a more diluted version of this scent. Trying this again, this is actually one of my softer and most skin-like scents, while still being very distinct and not at all soapy. I find a lot of white musks to be sharp and soapy, same for orange blossom, but this isn't at all like that. This is such a nostalgic scent for me, and trying it again makes me remember not just why I used to like it but how much I still like it. I need to make an effort to use this more, it really is wonderful. I've upgraded it to LOVE.

CocoBoom

This isn’t bad but it’s definitely not all that 😏. If you have Ellen Tracy you don’t need this. This smells cheap. And I smell Lilly of the Valley which is not listed. Its a pass. 👎

chicagogirl

Blind bought bc Macy's had a sale. I agree that the top notes def have a lily of the valley vibe! The drydown of this reminds me a lot of YSL Mon Paris without the fruity notes. The musk note is totally the same. I really want to like this but unfortunately I am just not a musk perfume girlie at all no matter how hard I try! lol. It smells so plain and boring to me personally as a gourmand, soapy and woody notes lover. I think this will layer beautifully with a perfume like Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere so I'll def try something like that next.

Encici

This is how love smells to me. Deep, sweet, sexy even erotic, loyal (lasting power is awsome), cozy, warm, lingering. The creator must have been in love when created this beauty. Also lovely for autumn time. I've done the mistake that I was not patient with this in the past. There is indeed a strange cut grasse undertone that I always smelled when applying my sample (I was not brave enough to buy the full bottle). But now it crossed my path again and I was not able to refuse to buy the big bottle, regardless of that strange undertone.. and I'm so so glad I did this time. After the few initial like 10-15 sprays the fragrance settled, that smell disappeared and I got a whole new world of addictive beautiful stunning seductive scent. Purely heavenly.

CamillaAre

Lily of the valley is not listed but it's definitely there, just as in the NR pure musc. I like the smell, but I think it smelles a bit cheep and dated. It gets better for me after an hour of two. I'm a succer for musc and when we get to this part the scent goes from a 5 to a 7 out of 10.

chlorodream

This is the only Narciso offering that I’ve ever got along with, and I do love it. It’s difficult to say I don’t because even though it’s just not “me”, it’s a little too fluffy and clean and nice for me, I do really love the smell of it. And that’s what it’s all about isn’t it!

Totally linear for me - clean, fluffy musky cloud with some amber, white florals (nothing overbearing about the orange blossom here) and I do get the Vetiver and bergamot here too, which stop it from leaning old-fashioned. It’s too fluffy to be soapy - more like posh laundry. Very much a bedtime or house scent for me. I only got a little tester and the lack of a nice dirty sandalwood or incense is what’s stopping me from getting a full bottle, plus the price, but I wouldn’t say no if someone I knew offered me one!

The lasting power is fantastic too, so test before you buy because you can wear it for a day or two at a time and it lasts beyond a shower too!

mollykkeith

This has become one of my all-time favorites. When I first sprayed it on me, I thought I could barely smell it and was a bit disappointed. But as the day went on, I kept getting whiffs of a very pleasant, musky floral. I've grown to truly love it.

Now, this perfume is EXTREMELY musky. You've got to like musk to enjoy it. I love musk, so it's no problem for me. I love how this scent isn't too sweet, cloying, or overbearing. It's enough that people will notice you but you won't choke them. Longevity is great! I'd say it lasts about 8 hours on me. It's safe for the office and can be worn anytime during any season.

The opening is very musky and slightly floral with a little fizz. It dries down to a nice musk that is lightly seasoned with vanilla and patchouli. I feel sexy and successful when I wear this perfume and can easily see this as someone's signature scent. And for the price, it's amazing. I enjoy it more than a lot of my more niche, expensive perfumes.

I got this as a layerable safe work scent. I can smell it for about 5 seconds before i am anosmic to it. But those 5 seconds are truly beautiful ❤️. I sometimes put this under another linear scent like maybe something like my way to give it more oomph.

haleykbhenry

This for the sophisticated feminine who is truly chic and elegant all the time. This is beautiful without trying. Easily lasts 6+ Hours with only 3 sprays.

The bottle is so elegant, and I know I would love it based on the notes and the reviews, but I really can't smell it. This is the first time I've had this issue with a fragrance. I can pick up just some pretty white florals at the opening but it quickly becomes very faint. My experience with it is totally different than the lovely descriptions here, so I know it must be me! Blind-bought a full bottle new from Macy's so I'm sure it's good. Looks like others have experienced it with Narciso for Her EDT as well. I have Kayali Musk 12 and love it, so I never anticipated I'd have musk anosmia. Bummer!

I'm trying my best to fall in love with this perfume especially because the amazing Francis Kurkdjian created this. I blind bought this when Macy's was having a sale. I agree that the scent is beautiful, musky and feminine; however, I think it's ruined for me because it smells like my 6th grade teacher. I'm pretty sure she used this fragrance now that I think of it. First sniff and I automatically felt like I was back in elementary school. I wish that I didn't have this in my memories because I'm sure I would've fallen in love with the scent. It's truly beautiful and performs very well but I can't seem to shake off that memory. For me, fragrances are tied to certain phases in my life. This just brings me back to a weird time and I'm not sure if it's nostalgic or a phase I don't want to remember. Aside from that, performance is great and the scent itself is pretty.

I admittedly only bought this because I needed a neutral black-only bottle to tie together all of the bottles in my collection, which were not matching together. Too many different colored bottles/juices, sizes, caps. It was distracting and it was when I had probably 9 fragrances loool. It was between this and Chanel Coco Noir, which is more warm spicy, earthy and a little waxy, both still have that amber patchouli thing going on. Both are not sweet and the fruits listed are not prominent at all. I went with NR For Her edt. I recently finished the bottle and I’m not mad at it. It’s a clean heavy musk, that’s linear on my skin and great to layer with. The amber can be heavy in this but the bergamot helps lift it. A little boring on its own, which is how I mostly wore it around the home or to run errands. Can be used as a work scent as well. That being said, longevity is moderate with okay projection depending on how much you spray. It isn’t something I would repurchase. Seriously, do not expect any kind of sweetness, you will be disappointed. I sampled this before I bought it so I knew what I was getting.

I think I have a Love-hate feeling for this one.
I understand both haters and lovers of this fragrance. Maybe the Flowers are too strong… and the musk I really Love is the one of Noa Cacharel…
Definitly too much sophisticated for snickers and sweaters or hot weather.
More adequate for black boots and night outs. To seduce someone might be perfect.
Just ordered 50ml.

I'm by no means a scent expert and I only have basic knowledge of perfume notes, I'm also very sensitive to smells and a lot of scents will give me a headache, no matter the price point. I got this EDT as a sample and when I first smelled the sample itself I thought it had an amazing scent, once I put it on my wrists it was a very different story. This EDT is overpoweringly sweet, I cannot notice any musk in this whatsoever. The longer it's on your skin the stronger it smells, this is great if you want to fill an entire room with your scent I guess. A basic way for me to tell whether or not I'd buy an EDT is by asking myself "would I hate smelling this in an elevator if someone else was wearing it?" and the answer for this one is a definite yes, I can't bring myself to finish the sample.

This has been a top favourite of mine for so long because it’s just so timeless and beautiful. Sexy, classy and so versatile. The osmanthus, bergamot and African orange flower give this a bit of sweetness and a floral element which cuts through some of the muskiness, but it is musky/powdery and amber fragrance above all else.

You also get the vanilla and woody notes to give it depth, especially in the dry down. It’s what I could picture a super luxurious and expensive soap might smell like.

100% signature scent worthy. Sillage and longevity are both very good. I think this works in all seasons/occasions as it’s a very clean smelling and feminine so you can’t really go wrong. Not an “old” musk by any means as it has citrusy florals and a creaminess that keeps it modern.

arizonaruby

Waaaay too musky and sweet. To me this smells really cheap, like one of those $5 bottles of perfume marketed to young girls at chemists. I don’t get any citrus from the bergamot at all. The one thing going for it is that the longevity and sillage are very good, especially for an EDT. Great if you like it but otherwise it will mean it’s even more unpleasant and cloying.

Leesh

An inoffensive, womanly, soapy, expensive spa scent. A versatile fragrance, safe blind buy, and good for gift giving.

Allegoria

I've never wore an EDT that got stronger as I wore it, so this one surprised me.

I loved the vanilla note at first spray but as the perfume grew stronger, I could smell a similarity to powdered laundry detergent that made my nose itch. This same smell could just smell clean and soapy on others, but not me.

I would strongly suggest testing before buying. NOT a safe Blind Buy.

soso.sofia

I really wanted to like this one, also because I think the bottle design is stunning, but I cannot smell it at all! I must be nose blind to its musks...

rainydays

In the past musks haven't really worked on me. Too many smell dated, dusty, or overly synthetic. But I LOVE this fragrance. It's so versatile. Sexy, classy, effortless. I could wear this any time, any occasion, any season. The osmanthus in this is creamy and it must be the vanilla/amber that contributes just a whisper of sweetness. Will become a staple in my rotation.
P.s. I should clarify that I'm referring to the EDT. From my brief encounter with the EDP I can only say the EDP is a bit softer and has a rose note.

MaxKayMax

Lovely and boss lady type of smell

Anabee

I wanted to love this, but somehow my nose can’t get past the dirty smell of this type of musk. It also makes my throat burn from the inside shortly after spraying this on, which is super odd. This never happened to me with any other fragrance before, except for Alien. There must be some ingredient these two fragrances have in common, that my body doesn’t like. It feels quite toxic.

I’m sad about it, tbh. I really like the sleek bottle design. It looked good in my collection.

To anyone who feels the same way about this fragrance, I recommend ‘Modern Muse’ by Estée Lauder. It’s very similar to NR but way smoother and fresher in its composition, with a clean and sexy musk as its base note. I’m happy I found this one.

Ah, this perfume makes me so nostalgic for my 20's, and full disclaimer: the bottle I own is from maybe a decade ago? WOW- had to edit my review to fix this part. Time sure flies!

This was my go to every day perfume for work. In a sea of NYC women wearing Flowerbomb (which I also owned) this was an entirely different perfume and I think that's what made me love it so much. I never saw people really talking about it much then- so to see it having a moment so many years after it's release is really so lovely. This is the perfume that made me feel like a put together career-woman, as silly as it seems. Something about the musk, white florals, vetiver and bergamot made me feel like a more elevated and put together version of myself. On my skin I think the vanilla note was totally lost, probably a faint sweetness in the background but hardly discernible to my nose. It's interesting because I wouldn't describe this scent as fresh or clean or even airy- I wonder if there was a reformulation? I would probably describe this as a warm floral, it envelops you and wraps you up in a way I find cozy. I can absolutely see how for some this is a bit cloying. And oh, how it lingers! The longevity on me was insane, would last the whole day through without much effort on my part and I'm not an over sprayer by nature!

White florals are polarizing in my experience. I think people tend to either associate the scent with "old ladies" or something beautiful and elevated. There's rarely an in between. I generally do not care for white florals but I do have a handful of fragrances that are the exception for me, and this is one of them. Don't know that I'd encourage anyone to blind buy this but it's absolutely worth a sniff. Also I just love the bottle design, so sleek and classic, much like the scent itself.

When it first came out (2004), I bought a bottle from the department store. My boyfriend at the time referred to it as "The Sex Perfume." I have tried to wear it again but there is a harsh burnt note for me. Not sure what has changed: me or the formula. likely both. I wear Egyptian Musk by Kuumba Made sometimes now. It has the same coziness but more innocence, less sex.

frag_nostalgia

A fresh, clean, yet warm and fluffy orange blossom rose fragrance in a bed of cream white musk. So, SO beautiful. Smelling it makes my eyes roll back in pleasure. Beautifully done 💗💖💝
