A caramelized pear in sugar and salt, peony and something synthetic, but that synthetic is what makes it special and it makes me think of Barbie doll, I think that's how a barbie doll would smell like. In my opinion it has the best sillage and longevity of all avon parfumes. It could be a signature fragrance because it has personality, but for young
elegant women...

Very delicate, refined and purely well-built! AVON has every hidden gem and honestly, just looking at this bottle of Luminata, I don't even want to know it! An enchanting fragrance that subtly envelops and stays for many hours on the skin, clothes, hair!
Its opening made me remember the unpolluted, discontinued, also from AVON Crystal Aura! Perhaps the Peonies that are dominating here too and manage to be vivid, not artificial; very difficult feat in today's world of perfumery, in which the show of synthetic aspects in the notes is something so common!
The subtlety of the fruity touch in it is juicy, and incites mouth watering! I really like the way the fruits are involved in the floral notes, due to the fact that no aspect overlaps the other, that is, it is possible to feel both without one clashing with the other. The Pear in it is juicy and has a very interesting citric touch!
It doesn't appear in the released notes, but I feel something warm in it, like Amber or even Elemi, bringing a measured sweet touch that combined nicely with woods that are humid and not dry... Woods that go very well in contemporary florals and that don't they lose the real proposal of such, to be subtle, feminine and admirable for their purity.

I really don’t understand why Avon would hire a name like Maurice Roucel and then they both settle for such mediocrity. Did they think that a cute bottle would salvage it?
I’m not someone who looks down on Avon; I own and love tens of their fragrances (Today, mesmerize, Surrender, Faraway, and many more).
Luminata starts with a sharp and synthetic pear note, like a green, crunchy very unripe pear 🍐. The fresh peony 🌸shows up next, later becoming a tad sweeter and a bit more pleasant (probably the raspberries). The whole composition rests on the ubiquitous, Avonesque, non-descript, synthetic wood- musk base. Also the performance is quite poor.
Luminata is pleasant but doesn’t belong to the Avon greats, but rather the run of the mill, forgettable fragrances in the likes of Celebre and Wish of Love.

Nice perfume, but I'd rather smell it on someone else but not me. I received it as a gift, and I enjoyed wearing it at the beginning. But I quickly got tired of it. I found it boring and linear and the peony-raspberry combo was too punchy to my nose. It's very synthetic too.
To describe the fragrance, it's a great fruity, floral, fresh fragrance, perfect for the beautiful days. I find it very similar to Quelques Notes d'Amour (EDT) by Yves Rocher! But the latter is more "Rosy", this one more "Raspberry".
On the other hand it has a great longevity and projection! Surprising for such a cheap fragrance. When I wear it, I always get comments like: "oh, we've been perfumed from head to toe today ;)?"

I purchased it blind and tried it first in February. I wasn't impressed, it smelled plasticy and alltogether unpleasant on me. A few days ago I gave it another try and I can't have enough of it since then. It is light and lovely, fresh an uplifting. Generic, yes, nothing groundbraking, but at the present 35 C temperature it is all I need. It lasts about 4 hours on my skin, the sillage is intimate and that is all right, I don't want to torture anyone in this heatwave. I have a 30 ml bottle and thinking about buying a bigger one as soon as possible as it seems to be discountinued.
Edit: I don't like it anymore on its own, but layered on top of Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Woman - wow! The two together are to die for.

I got it as a gift. And sorry but its soo generic and boring, and barely anything there on my skin after 1 h. Scent ghost.
I gave it away for free.

This is a bright perfume. Some people describe it as generic but I don't have anything like this in my collection. First of all, there are different notes listed on the avon website, other than what fragrantica lists here: green notes, currant, magnolia, iris, vanilla and musk. I'd say that musk, magnolia and green notes are what I smell the most among them.
I can't stand overly floral scents, and this one is perfect because the fruity notes balance the composition very well.
It's a bright, daily scent, that gives a liiiittle bit ot a shampooey vibe but it's not all florals. In the drydown, the musk is quite strong, so much that I think this is on the verge of being a floral-woody-musk.

This is an award winning scent and I love the bottle as well as Roucels frags so I blind bought. Not a good choice. I like the initial burst and it is long lasting but it has a mellow more classic formula, a bit tart, which doesn't agree with me.
EDIT: Anna Sui secret wish fairy dance has a bit more grapefruit in the opening but the drydown is the exact same scent on me.
EDIT 2: I gave this to my mom to wear in Canada. Visiting her now, the scent is gorgeous here in the very humid subtropical rainforest climate of the west coast. All the rich notes come forward - in the UK it was thin and a bit tinny with peony. Now I understand what all the fuss was about with this winning awards. I love wearing it here.

Luminata's nose is Maurice Roucel.
On my skin this is such a beautiful scent. Pity it isa discontinued.
Lasted 7/8hours, exceptional for really hot days, with luminous peony /pear combo with good performance.

Thought this has strawberry in it. Sweet fresh summery, lasts quite well for the price.

It's too sugary for me, I really get bored feeling that it surrounds me all the time with its longtivity. It suits a summery day with lots of outgoings.

I am not usually a fan of Avon perfume, I find them very one dimensional but I absolutely love Luminata. The notes are blended to perfection, I often find that pear is too loud and cloying on me but here it is gorgeous.

Woody, fruity, fresh, floral, balanced. Smells exactly like the notes listed. Luminous, very pleasant and lovable. Good enough for its regular price and definitely above expectations for the £4 I paid for a 50ml that's for sure!
EDIT: I reviewed this early in the morning, so back asleep, and upon awakening my goodness....... I was in a magical blissful land of fruits and flowers! Such a good longevity, I love Luminata.
If you can find it on ebay for a good price, buy it! Avon definitely didn't go wrong with Luminata, it is not a perfume you will call meh just another Avon, I promise you! GET IT :D

Really surprised there aren't more reviews on this! Initially, I dismissed it as generic. Then, weeks later, I used my free sample again and got a pleasant surprise. I ended up buying two bottles, a body cream and purse spray.
It's very smooth with raspberry and pear working well in combination, and definitely has the aura of a more expensive perfume. Whilst not outstanding, it is very easy to wear and would suit day, night, work or occasion.
Luminata is now one of my favourites from Avon.

This is a really nicely blended fragrance. It feels half peony, half raspberry, with each complimenting the other. It's a bright fragrance, moderate projection, but excellent longevity. Sweet without being cloying or sickly, somehow they upped the quality here. For the price, this is a bargain.

Stays all day, to me Its floral and gorgeous this is all about the drydown.

This was such a disappointment for me, unfortunately. I have heard people praising this perfume as one of the better Avon scents out there, but I found this to be completely untrue in my case. It smells so painfully generic and artificial that it hurts.
Luminata smells like a cheap perfume shop, where an indistinct chemical scent lingers in the air. I find this similar to Avon's Perceive, Incandessence and Little Black Dress, because to my nose, they all smell the same (yep, I know that they all have different notes, but my nose perceives them as identical).
The opening was sharp and alcoholic, but I was still hopeful. The drydown came and... It somehow got even sharper?! Where was the peony, the pear, the raspberry? There was nothing fruity or sweet or floral about this - just a straight-up artificial smell.
The perfume itself is rather cheap - although it is an expensive perfume for Avon - but my God, it is not worth the money. I am so glad I managed to sell my bottle.
I must say that I am not an Avon-hater. In fact, two of my favourite fragrances are from them - Flower by Cynthia Rowley and Slip into daring (sadly, both of them were discontinued years ago). But perfumes like Luminata make me understand why many people tend to look down on Avon perfumes.

Luminata is a new fragrance here in the Baltic area of Avon, pictured on the cover of the catalog this month.
My first thought was that it smells a lot like Incandessence which is one of my Avon favourites.
I tested them on my wrists and realised these differences:
Incandessence is more floral and softer.
Luminata is more bright, crisp and sweet.
Both are very well done and smell beautiful.
I came to the conclusion that Luminata would be my choice out of these two at the moment.
Peony note can be somewhat overpowering sometimes, but Luminata is a good mixture of peony, pear and raspberry. It lives up to it's name!

This lasts way more than Incandescence on my skin , it is brighter and more floral (peony) on my skin. A much better perfume for me, Incandescence lasts 2/3 hours, the usual Avon mediocre fare with a lackluster aroma like a poor man J'Adore, this is bright, effervescent and suited to Brazil's high temps (100F plus) and subtle sillage but very long lasting.

Considering the fact that Oriflame copied Avon's Far Away Rebel by making"On the edge",I expect them to make a copy of this one,a perfume called"Bijoux"or something like that lol.Jokes aside,I really think this is a nice and high quality perfume.
It's an expensive perfume for Avon, but I think this is one of their best perfumes I ever smelled! And also the bottle is very nice

Lovely peony scent, it is a Brazil-only perfume by Avon, launched for 2017 Mother's Day with a Swarowski Crystal solitaire. Long lasting (7/8 hours), appropriate for all seasons, sweet but not too much ( so it can be enjoyed in summer), very floral but less cloying than Femme, this is one of the best Avon offerings. A beautiful effervescent peony/pear combo with moderate sillage for 2 hours, light and uplifting.
