this is so perfect for a citrus fragrance, the fig adds sweetness and a little soapiness without overpowering it. But its still a very fresh, organic, summery and citrusy scent. Really unique scent too, never felt anything like it for a fresh summer scent

Bob3487

this is the best summer fragrance ive ever smelled! I thought about getting this or dior homme cologne. This is more realistic. If you would define the smell I think it smells exactly like a citrusy fruity figsoap with a bit of sweet wood. The perfect realistic summer fragrance, lasting about 4-5 h and doesnt project crazy but still good and a little laid back which is perfect for hot summer days. The best!

tylerss20

Masterclass fragrance for a summer day. I don't always like fig as a note, but this is so good.

antongl97

fantastic

ByTheFireplaceLover911

An absolute masterpiece of a fragrance with a creamy fig and sweet citrus. Totally beautiful and to me very green (tea esque). Performance falls massively short though and makes this not very wearable on anything except the hottest of days.

karnz010

Very unique and sophisticated. You can smell the niche quality with this one. Definitely unisex. Excellent scent.

ZtNem

One of the best citrus fragrances i have ever smelt, smelt it today, bought it today. Cheap on wholesale especially if you find testers.

Horganman

It just smells like nettles to me

jxnathan0

Should I get this or Dior Homme Cologne?

ReneFragrence612

This may be the best fragrance I've every smelt but performance let's it down big time

bd78

Used to love it, now it’s alright. Longevity is terrible

Iconic'80s

The initial blast of citrus is nice but fleeting. After that I'll I'm getting is wood with a little sweetness presumably from the fig, though I'm not sure I've ever really smelled a fig IRL. The wood is not the wood of fresh cut cedar but more of an oud-y wood. Not to my taste.

benlea

The photorealistic fig note, combined with subtle notes of citrus, makes it entirely captivating. The fig note has been described as more of a 'creamy' fig as opposed to the 'sharp' fig of a fragrance like Philosykos by Dyptique. I would definitely agree with that description. Unfortunately, it only really lasts a few hours on skin and does not project much at all. I still believe it's a stunning fragrance, though.

Bizzy1995

Hyper realistic fig note with an overdose of citrus. I think this the does an amazing job capturing the vibes of the of Amalfi coast. This is unique and stands out from other summer like fragrances

unitedwolf

The citrus notes fade quickly, and what's left is an incredibly lush, fresh, green fig scent. It's not bad, not bad at all, and it would be worth picking up if it weren't for the abysmal longevity. Two hours max. Still, a bottle might be worth picking up if it were priced accordingly. And by priced accordingly, I'm talking about John Varvatos prices. Unfortunately, finding a bottle that cheap might prove difficult.

MonicaCloud

Fico di Amalfi has a weird musty facet that I did not like, but it fades closer to the dry-down and reveals a delightful natural green scent. Strong lasting power and a moderate sillage. More masculine than feminine; summery. Bergamotto di Calabria is more unisex and, in my opinion, a better option if you want that sweet smell of a freshly trimmed tree.

Ralison71

Initial burst of bright lemon evolves to a sweet fig that is brightened by a citrus background. It fades within a hour to a sweet but mild fig skin scent sharpened by cedar.

Enjoyable, but way too short.

jaque tayleau

found this fragrance quite underwhelming . it has a lovely grapefruit opening but other than that it really is just quite unexciting . especially as it sits so close to the skin it lacks something to really make it stand out . maybe it will grow on me though .

Onsia

Recently stumbled upon this gem at a random fragrance store and I have to say, this is one of the best smelling summer fragrances I’ve ever smelled. The sweet fruity notes are very noticeable as it dries down, the fig note is very pleasant. Can’t say it has the best performance, but the smell is immaculate.

Jakey001

Yummy

BigZ

It reminds me of D&G Light Blue Intense, and its just not as vibrant or citrusy as anticipated.
Its okay

Charlieinthesun

I love this fragrance! It’s such a fun and clean scent. Definitely targeting a younger age group, but I feel like it could work on anyone really.

I wasn’t 100% convinced when I sprayed this at the store because I tend to avoid any citrus dominant scents, but this one is different to me. The opening is indeed very citrusy, almost like those traditional Colonias heavy on the citrus and alcohol.

However, the dry down is beautiful. The fig and cedar really carry this through into a rounded fragrance that smells good.

My only issue is that it struggles to last on my skin. I can only only smell it on me for two hours, and afterwards I find myself reaching over to my wrists to smell it.

chemdar

Acqua di parma fico di amalfi is a wonderful fragrance for the hot summer days but, the its a little overpriced for 4 hours on my skin but still it is a fantastic fragrance

Unemployed

Top notes are seriously funky. Difficult to describe because I had to scrub it off so fast. I regret spending the few dollars for a sample

Ara3

No one talks about how the longevity is shocking on this it lasts 30 mins max on my skin even after applying 8 sprays. I think that it has possibly the best opening of any fragrance ever but that fades after 5 minutes and then you are left with a mish mash of weird synthetic wood and almost medicinal base note of stale hospital water. TEST ON SKIN BEFORE YOU BUY.

Lolapoop

I never new how I love fig notes until I discovered this masterpiece .Dries down beautifully. Nothing synthetic about it. I love it on me,but I also think it's suitable for a drop dead georgous man .The only thing that I would change is the bottle. It's just too modest for this gem . I have around 160 full bottles of perfumes and countless samples. It is so important to give a blind purchases enough attention to fully appreciate and understand some of the creations .

Redbeef92

First spray reminded me of fresh figs in my father's Turkish village.

It was instant love for me.

tamovicha

This is a true fresh aquatic with personality, pure AGUA. It does take some time to warm up to it tho

henerlay

this fragrance is probably one of my summer favorites atm it opens very citrusy and dries down to a little more woody but the fig is always noticeable. performance may not be that good but it lasts days even weeks on my jacket apparently.

i will be copping this for summer. because its just perfection. the only reason why i dont think its my favorite its because of the performance. if aqua di parma reforulated this it whould def be a 10/10 but the scent is really something i like. also the jasmine makes it even more good.

tho one think that whould have been nice on this one is a little more watery/aquatic note. it makes every summer fragrance better. i love those notes. but def try out mirto di panancera (sorry for spelling) it has a little more sea note and its good too

ill mostly use this on the summer days and summer nights i will use le beau le parfum. recommend.

slightly slightly feminine because of the kind of dominant jasmine on my jacket and skin but def unisex, can be worn by anyone.

gatekeep this one (:

chrisaied

It’s not aquatic as I wanted, but good for summer

ethan-fragrantica

Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma:
From the Blu Mediterraneo line-this is very fresh and sweet, almost like a candied sweetness. Starts off with a blast of yellow citrus, the most realistic I've ever smelled. Then comes the somewhat sticky sweetness of the fig which is a somewhat rare note to me. Perfect for summer or spring, unisex but ever so slightly feminine leaning. Moderate performance but would do well in heat.

Top notes: Grapefruit, citron, lemon
Middle notes: Fig, jasmine, ever so slight pepper note
Base notes: Fig, cedar

Longevity: 3/5
Sillage: 3/5
Scent: 5/5
Design: 4/5
Gender: Unisex
Overall: 4.5/5

Bingo30

The grapefruit is juicy, vibrant, and very realistic. The opening is seriously like putting your nose up against a freshly cut slice of grapefruit. That is really all that I can smell for the first 30 minutes. It will be very refreshing in the summer.

After that, it sits much closer to the skin. It becomes pretty subtle. Soapy, fruity, watery, green nuances blend together to create a fresh summery aura. The namesake of fig adds a tiny wee lil bit of yummy sweetness.

Blind buy worthy from discounters.

It is very much unisex - it doesn’t lean masc or femme at all. This has no gender it is just a nice smell.

(Not the best from the Blue Mediterranean line though, check out the others too)

karnz010

Fresh perfume with very realistic citrus and fig notes.

tab369

I really really wanted to like this one but I can’t stand it for the first 12 hours, which sounds ridiculous but it seriously has some good projection on my skin but just doesn’t smell pleasant to my kind of reminds me of a bathroom air freshener.

frend7

Pleasant fruity citrus and fig aroma. However, doesn't really go well with my skin as all I smell is a soapy aroma that reminds me of shampoos I would use in hotels on a holiday. I can imagine it working well on other people though.

TonkaBean546

I know this is mostly a summer scent, but I like wearing it when it’s crisp outside and I want to feel refreshed. It could be more masculine leaning for some, but that’s not something I bother myself with

SmellGood11

That opening tho! I just kept on shaking my head up and down and saying "yes!" with a huge smile on my face.

I smelled this scent without the note breakdown in front of me. Since I have a big culinary background I love the game of trying to figure out what my nose is telling me. First thing off the bat I smelled a grapefruit like scent. Big props to anyone who knows what a Pomelo is. The ancestor of the grapefruit. It has a much more "perfumed" grapefruit smell with less bitterness. What a divine smell when you cut open a fresh Pomelo. That's what you get here. I kept on saying: "This is so juicy".

The only fragrance that I've ever smelled more juicy than this was Declaration Cologne by Cartier. I absolutely loved that fragrance's opening. Not to be confused with Declaration by Cartier. The "Cologne" version is discontinued and quite rare to find. The problem with Declaration Cologne was that it became a skin scent in 15 minutes. But man I loved that smell. Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi reminds me of that cologne due to the juiciness, but this is it's own fragrance.

The next thing I pick up is this absolutely natural honey-sweet fig smell. I love fresh figs. There are so many varieties. Most people are familiar with the figs sold at a grocery store. But there are figs that have the taste of strawberry jam, raspberries, blueberries, etc. The fig note used in this fragrance is top notch. What a great combination between the juicy citrus notes and the fig. Then harmonized with a light floral touch. Summer perfection. Really nice job Acqua di Parma!

This is unisex.

Thranduilseyebrows

Wanted to like this as it was extremely hyped and has all my favourite notes on paper. it's not my favourite ADP scent. It is very sweet at first, a simplesweetness. Then it morphs into a honey and mandarin smell. The 'watery figs' are definetly coming through later on, to me it is a more realistic fig than Diptyque Philosykos. The greeness in this one is not fresh to me. It has similarities to Armani's Si intense, but that has a more compelling sweetness to me. Comparing it to Hermes un jardin di Mediterranee or whatever is wrong, they difinetly smell very very different
4/5 but i wouldn't wear it every day.

StllM@gnolia30

At times, this turns a bit too masculine on my skin but most of the time it smells pleasantly citrusy and clean on me. It also has relatively good staying power. Will I repurchase it? Probably not but I won't turn up my nose at it either.

fourleafedrover8

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous fig! It opens with all the sweet fruityness of other commercial designer perfumes, but the fig is so pure and unmistakable it’s instantly unique. Seriously, put down the Delina, forget your BRouge, this is the one.

Just when you think it’s all fruit, it dries down to something woody and spicy. Hear me out: this is perfect for cold weather as well. Figs are autumnal, and a Yuletide classic! If you love a fruity and freshie, or if you are headache prone to gourmands and ouds, this is JUST a foot into the realm of powerful sillage and longevity to take you into fall.

I disagree with the comments about longevity. This stayed on my coat for 24 hrs, but it is a complex scent that develops over time. Spray it on your clothes!

The story for me here: a wealthy Ivy League student spent the summer on her parents’ yacht off the coast of Italy, where she purchased this perfume on a day trip into Sicily. She’s back at school now, the leaves are changing red and gold and she sprays this onto her rich black wool coat before heading off to a “Friendsgiving” event with her secret society. Over recitation of Virgil and glasses of red wine, as fig slips into woody spice, someone named Bunny tells her she smells like Persephone.

karnz010

It smells great but you may need to travel size.

yazzakasbah

This one is all about the fresh fig fruit.
You lean in toward a branch filled with figs, you catch the slightly sweet green woody scent from the tree while you brush up against the beautiful leaves, you pick a juicy looking fruit, tear it open with your hands, you sniff the pulp, fruity, sweet and slightly sour and take a large bite. That's what the opening is like!
The portrayal of this fresh fig fruit is beyond belief and very different from other fig centered scents I have sampled which are much more woody and dried.
The scent of fresh fig lingers for quite a while, then gradually gives way to the grapefruit, citrus, a fresh fruity, slightly sweet 'n sour and woody scent that lasts the better part of the day. Longevity and sillage is perfectly moderate in high temperatures.

Love!

indieannaK

This is a gorgeous, incredibly fresh scent. The citrus, ocean air and fig are exactly the kind of thing I love. Performance is abysmal, but boy do I love this for that hour that I can smell it!

gibby20

Beautiful scent but poor performance

Bougiecat

I love, love, looove this one. It's not a boring citrus scent, it has very unique and amazing earthiness to it. Very fresh and comforting scent. Great choice for summer, especially if you want to have a little luxury and expensive note to it. It reminds me of summertime in Capri, walking in the streets of Capri, wearing linen clothes and feeling fresh, clean, tanned and pretty. deffinitelly Unisex and can be worn comfortably by every gender with grace.
At the end of the day it's a citrussy smell so it does not last... and that's the only con I can find, but this kind of fragrances can't be done differently if you ask me. Changing it's formulation to last longer will make it lose the uniqueness it has to it. So, if you're okay with spraying it again a few times then it's a great perfume.

smellyOwl

Opens with green, grassy and citrusy notes with an emphasis on grapefruit. It stays in this sort of green, slightly citrusy and slightly floral vein the whole time and never goes in the milky coconut direction some other fig fragrances go in. The fig note is a bit subdued for a fragrance that's going to call fig out in the name. Overall, an inoffensive and safe if slightly boring choice for a fragrance. Decent projection and ok longevity for this family of scents. At MSRP, this would be a rip off, but I see it selling online for prices well below that where it could be a good deal.

Ryahya

probably the best freshie on my collection, the citrus burst on the opening is close to magical, fresh zingy effervescent, the drydown is sweet & ozonic, I get when people say its not long lasting, but what i notice is the scent is not gone, but just turns into ozonic notes which is a bit hard to smell.

Guardian2471

A good fig citrus fragrance but it doesn’t last long so you need to overspray. The scent is an 8/10 and this is a fragrance that I would recommend checking out.

Biee

This is a beautiful fresh fragrance. I blind bought it and I love it.

Enrium

Fico d'Amalfi is another simple, fleeting freshie from this line, this time with fig as a focal point. While the previous Blu Mediterraneos I tried were citrus colognes, FA is the first to really feature a dominant note. It also has better performance - perhaps this is simply due to its

FA opens with a burst of citrus, but becoming fig-dominant almost immediately. The tart lemon and bergamot complement the fig really well, adding radiant freshness. The fig is very green initially, becoming sweeter as it develops.

Woody notes creep in as it develops, somewhat evocative of a fig tree, as the fig itself remains until final fade. Sillage is intimate and longevity is weak - Blu Mediterraneo scents tend to have limited performance.

A pleasant but pointless fig freshie, FA is lovely to wear in the heat, but it brings nothing new to the table and there are many fig scents on the market with better performance. I would choose Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier instead, or invest in Philosykos. 3/5.

reppon97

You can clearly smell fig and fig tree in this. Unique in it's own way. Lacks projection and longevity, but smells great, Kinda has a shower gel vibes to it, which is not a bad thing for ones that love smell clean.

magred

i may not have smelled much perfume in my short frag life as of yet but for me this one has yet to be topped. fico di amalfi you will always be famous. worth every bit of praise that people shower on it. fruity, deep, layered, citrusy, fresh. there is nothing synthetic about this, it smells like the most beautiful natural scene that could never actually exist. but boy can you picture it when you wear this. can something smell happy and serene?

if only it lasted more than 20 damn minutes!!!

jgherrera

A very green leafy fig, with a jasmin that simply won’t leave the game. This is a combo I don’t find agreeable. It’s more of a room scent than it is a body fragrance. No wonder this product line of their makes candles for each version of the cologne. Unisex but leaning female (because of this persistent and somewhat loud jasmine). Not a safe blind-buy by any means.

victormejia

Definitely unisex to me.

Poor sillage and longevity (lasts 1 hour at most). Summer day only use, not seeing this in any other occasion apart from beach vacations. It is not a bad scent at all, very citrusy, with fruity touch. Didn't receive much compliments while wearing this, only reactions I had was "you smell clean".

Not a safe blind buy, do not let the high rating guide you. In a personal opinion this wouldn't be in my collection if I had smelled it before.

A 5/10 fragrance right here.

DichterundDenker

A very nice, pure and clean fig scent! How freshly showered!

HueloBien

Sour soul FactsMan trashed every single fragrance.
Nothing is good for that fella.

Anyhow. If you spray this one 3 times, it’s not going to last long. I apply 8 sprays and longevity is decent for a freshie.
Fico di Amalfi Acqua, is a fresh fragrance, so longevity is not the strength in here.

Get the memo, and understand how fragrances work. AdP fragrances don’t have good longevity.

Fico di Amalfi Acqua Is fresh, with a lovely opening that makes you wear this one more often.
It performs better in the heat. Not a fall or winter fragrance.

I have a decent collection and Fico di Amalfi Acqua is an easy grab for me when I go out for a drink, to the park, picnic, beach….. you get the picture.
Sour soul FactMan doesn’t

Dive_Space

AdP is my favourite house hands down. All of their offerings are so nostalgic to me, having spent a lot of time in the Mediterranean as a kid. However, they're definitely not known for strong projection, sillage and longevity.

Fico di Amalfi is beautiful. Bright fig and citrus hits just the right way. However, on my skin, its barely a skin scent at an hour. This drives me up the fucking wall because I love the smell. It smells phenomenal, but performs about as well as a pencil underwater.

Lingophile

It seems fleeting at first, but really sticks with you in the warmth of the summer --- it's lasting in 117 degree Phoenix days on one of the longest heat streaks in history. The freshness remains even after hours and it ripens as a fig. There is something horticultural about the fragrance -- reminding one of a summer garden. This definitely seems a like a masculine scent to me, and it's strange it is described as feminine even though Acqua di Parma has been a historically male scent. Certainly this is a shame since it is an original scent that may be mismarketed in some venues. I find myself wanting to smell my shirt during the day.

jlog23

Big opening blast of citrus with fig. As it develops you get more fig tree than the nectar. The jasmine is strong on my skin, but that’s my favorite floral note so I like it. Has a soapy/clean citrus feel without smelling like too much like actual soap if that makes any sense. Below average projector but does last 6 hours on my skin. A summer standout!

pilotdc

I get a fruity lemonade opening that is so refreshing in these hot summer months. The mid and drydown are good but more floral so kinda leans feminine to my nose.
Fig perfumes are hard for me to pull off, but this one is an exception. I'm trying other frags from this line to see which works best for me, but FdA is certainly up there.

evertonnick3

This smells awesome. So so so good. So bright and vibrant. Could definitely be unisex. I could also see this being very versatile, casual or dress it up it works either way. This smells so freaking good though. Wow.

btd069

Fantastic Fig fragrance mixed with citruses with woods. If only this lasted longer, but then again, Acqua di Parma is not known for longevity. They're known for being natural smelling, classic & fresh.

I've smelled this side by side with Molinard Figue, Sean John 3am, Ferragamo Pour Homme & Ferrari Noble Fig, the other Fig/Fig Leaf/Fig Tree fragrances that I own.

3am doesn't last but smells fairly refreshing with the Tonic note and has the best Atomizer in the game. Ferrari is a bit drier, and doesn't really have longevity either. The Fig in Molinard is slightly less synthetic smelling but performance is somewhat lacking, considering it's a "niche" fragrance. Ferragamo Pour Homme is also light with some subtle florals and lots of notes but well blended and has a slightly old school feel but not getting much leather as listed. Fico Di Amalfi is even more naturally smelling but has kinda dismal longevity, but i never expect killer performance ADP fragrances in general.

3am is starting to become harder to come by in rack stores, but can be found for around $20ish, I've even found it for less when it was on clearance ($13) for 100ml. Ferrari Radiant Fig is discontinued and harder to come by and the prices are raising but used to be found for $25ish back in the day. Molinard can be found discounted ($40-$50). Used to see Ferragamo at rack stores for about $25. I was able to get Fico Di Amalfi for 60ish dollars for 100ml. If i had to pick one, it would be Fico Di Amalfi for the scent. None of them really perform anything above average.

IMO Moninard has the best presentation & longevity but not a beast by any imagination. Sean John has the best Atomizer by far & great value. Ferragamo has a classic scent and a lot of notes which makes it somewhat more complex. Ferrari was good value for money when it was cheap and readily available. Fico Di Amalfi has a refreshing quality and the juiciest IMO. So it just depends on what you're looking for.

ameda

Downgrading my initial opinion of AdPFdA to 'just OK' after a side-by-side comparison with Ferrari Noble Fig. This scent is soft, pleasant, nondescript, and fleeting, like a luxurious hand cream. I don't need both and the Ferrari is better, IMO, with its sparkling citrus, aromatic tea feel, and far superior performance.

tilly21

Kind of a cologny citrus. Bright and clean but I didn't get any fig. I would agree that it seems more like the "general fig experience" rather than the fruit of the fig. Unisex but leans more masculine--a sexy, smooth cosmopolitan masculine, but still masculine.

SNKIOP

Summer scent: 7,5/10 citrusy and fresh, got a nice fig profile, really clean does turn a bit soapy in the dry down. Great for warm summer days, to a clean look. white t-shirt or button down shirt type of scent. Sillage 2,5/10 Longevity 2/10

astralmonad870

If you are looking for a fresh, green fragrance for summer, look no further… While Hermetica Paris’s Figfever and Molinard Figue are very similar variations of a heavier winter fig, this one evokes sensory images of wind-swept boughs of green leafy fig tree branches with sunbeams shining through them somewhere in the Mediterranean. Something about this that evokes the smell of the breeze and wind-swept leaves in particular. Jammy and fruity. Greener and cleaner version of Hermes Un Jardin Mediteranee or Millet et Bertaux Green, Green, Green, and Green. Acqua di Parma comes out with some masterpieces like this and Aqua Colonia but their endless variations of citrus (Arancia, Bergamota, etc.) are overrated imho. After sampling some on the back of my hand in John Lewis I went online and purchased a 150 ml bottle for the best price I could find off FragranceX for my husband and myself to share this summer. Now the 4-day wait begins until it arrives! It’s among the pricier bottles in my collection but I’ve splurged on something that is definitely worth my $115.

flem

Starts off both bitter and sweet. Both leafy green and creamy. I can detect the grapefruit and bergamot the most. The fig is there, but similar to Philosykos, it comes across as the entire fig experience. Leaf, branches, and all. It's very bright and invigorating. Much cleaner and fresh than Alluring Fig, but also less creamy and smooth.

Alluring Fig is for when you want an incredibly silky, milky, and creamy coconut-like fig experience. Almost gourmand.

Philosykos is for when you want a calm, floral-forward, and leafy fig experience. Light, soft greenery.

Fico di Amalfi is for when you want a bright, clean, leafy, and tart citrus fig experience. Lotion-like and soapy dry down.

karnz010

It’s the best fig fragrance for me.

Bolenn

Love from the first sniff. It is indeed bottled Mediterranian summer. Cheerful, fresh, careless, happy summer in Italy by the sea (and sorry, but by the sea I mean indeed the Amalfi coast or Sardegna and definitely not Rimini, Ravenna or Bibione as these latter have nothing to do with real Italian summer...). I had a sample a few years ago which I used up too quickly. I also tried Philosykos from Diptyque which is quite similar, but also has coconut among the notes which makes it a bit more beachy and even though it is lovely, I still prefer Fico di Amalfi. The only issue is indeed the longetivity which can question the price. Also, I already have more summer scents what the length of the season could justify, so I tried to hunt for a cheaper alternative or at least a cheaper source (even the factory store in Parma and online). So far I did not succeed, any scents I tried with fig notes were not comparable to this gem. So I think I have to give up and buy a full bottle. I may have just found a source with reasonable price, I think I will order it, I need to have this lovely scent in my collection.

pppzltn

Summer has started. So I'm reaching for this more often. And you should too.
I think this became a modern classic.
Uplifting, happy, energizing, the vacation has started scent.
Gorgeous fig note. I must say Figuier Eden probably has a more refined and luxirious fig note, but that one is not as easy going and happy as this one.
Fico Di Amalfi 4 life.

Beansations

Really bright, fresh, soapy (my friends have mentioned that it smells like expensive soap). Invigorating citrus, I get this ripe grapefruit in the opening, dries down into some woods and a little green. Personally, I don't really get a very prominent fig note (as much as say, Debaser). Shame that it doesn't last all that long nor project all too well as I really do enjoy this fragrance. A calm pick for a hot summer day.

Beautiful spring and summer citrus fig fruit cologne thats suitable for alI. I am biased, I do have a huge love for the scent of both fig leaf and fig fruit, this provides the fig fruit hit with an ever so light vein of tobacco running through the middle, absolutely beautiful and so perfect for the warmer weather.

Orion78

Love the the scent fresh! I dont know if im worng for me its a little bit similar to Issey Miyake Pour Homme on the dry down. But over all i love it! 👍👍👍

TIBE

Smells very nice a good sweet summer fragrance however, it doesn't last more than 4 hours for me which is why I sold my bottle.

Glyph

Fico di Amalfi is by far the best I've tried in Acqua di Parma's Blu Mediterraneo line. It helps tremendously that this projects more and lasts longer than the other ones I've tried, which have mostly seemed like whispers of fragrances rather than full perfumes in their own right.

Because it is a cologne this does not last forever, but the full-forward blast of sweet fig at the beginning was a happy surprise, as was the fuller juiciness of the citrus fruits (which is mostly missing in the other Blue Mediterraneo examples). This would definitely be worth a full bottle at its price.

Lukasssss

Fico di Amalfi is the happiest fragrance I own and have ever tried. It is just beautiful. My mind instantly transports to the Aegean sea, to a Greek island. I imagine watching a sunset while sitting in an outside taverna. Even though this scent is great for a summer day, I would like to wear it in the evening even more. It is not as bright as the more citrus-dominant fragrances of this collection (Bergamotto di Calabria, Arancia di Capri, etc.). It is rather sweet, fruity, creamy, and green, with a little dampness to it. I think the depth of this fragrance comes out more right before, during, and after the sun sets and the air is a little cooler and slightly more humid than during the day. It smells mysterious. The main note of this fragrance is, as the name says, the fig. I can detect both the sweet nectar and the green fig tree. Other notes are also detectible, but they are mainly there to enhance the fig notes and prevent the fragrance from being linear - which it is absolutely not. I find that it progresses a whole lot throughout the wear. If my body was a programmable fragrance dispenser, I would set this scent as my default. I absolutely adore it. If ADP ever were to discontinue this fragrance, I would have to buy half a liter of it. Fico di Amalfi is the second fragrance that I would give a 10/10 and I have probably tried around 100 fragrances, both niche and designer.

Yoanvanesa257

Does anyone have problems with projection and longevity lately? I sprayed 5-6 times and I can't smell anything. There is also strong alcohol smell at the beginning.

LOUDPACK

I would describe this scent as “very expensive and luxurious handsoap”. It smells like some handsoap you’d find at a high end hotel in Italy.

This just smells so good. A true unisex fragrance as well. I can’t stop smelling myself whenever I wear this.

One thing to note - the retail price of AdP has had significant inflation in the past few years. It’s now ~$140 at Neiman Marcus, which is highway robbery. You can buy this fragrance secondhand or from discounters for $50-80. Save your money!

DolceVita7

In my opinion, this fragrance is a true masterpiece. It evokes fond memories from my childhood, when my family lived in a rural area surrounded by a variety of fruit trees. One of my favorite spots in the garden was the fig tree section, which my father fondly called the "garden of figs". Spending summers under the shade of these trees with my friends created some of my most cherished memories. The fig fruit holds a special place in my creative personality, and I wanted to share this personal story to explain why I find this fragrance so enjoyable.

While some people may have negative experiences with the performance of this fragrance, I find it perfect just the way it is. It has a certain charm that reminds me of those special scents that you fall in love with and miss until you are pleasantly surprised by catching a whiff of it once again on a gentle breeze. This fragrance captures the essence of love and the sweet aroma of fig, making it an unforgettable scent that I highly recommend.

Old School Tie

I think people don’t get this fragrance. It doesn’t smell of figs, the fruit, it smells of fig trees, the leaves and the foliage, when you are walking in the mediterranean countryside on a hot sultry day and the aroma of fig tree reaches you before you see the tree itself. I think that’s what they have aimed for and that’s what they have achieved. This not some sickly sweet fig syrup, so don’t expect that. It is green, aromatic, herbal.

Liz-frag

Talk about a freshie goodie!

Fico Di Amalfi doesn’t smell like a juicy fig and don’t let the name fool you.
I grew up in the South Of France and there, that’s how the laundry product smells like. It reminds me being outside in the very hot summer. My mother hangs up some freshly white clothes on the line, in the garden. Around are some fig trees. It’s close to 40 degrees and when my mother is gone, I pick up a wet and clean t shirt to put over my head to cool down.
This is what Fico Di Amalfi evokes to me. Fig scents are my Madeleine de Proust and Fico is one more that I adore.

HisNoseKnows

delicious and mouth-watering, perfect for Spring & Summer. as mentioned, wish it had more staying power.
scent: 10/10
longevity: 5/10

jleezlg

i just got a bottle second hand. this smells nearly identical to ELDO’s ghost in the shell, which is fine. definitely a soapy number. Shame as i really wanted to like this. I don’t get the fig at all. Will probably be selling both of these.

imo though if you like grapefruit you’d like this, it opens to a photorealistic grapefruit.

Why40

Really nice fresh summer fragrance. This would have been my go to perfume if performance was not an issue. 30min max then its gone. Definetly more feminine

minamartin

Fig is absolutely not the main accord of this - despite the name, and absolutely not the best citrusy scent out of the line. I much prefer Bergamotto Di Calabria over this.

Clairexoxo

This is a fresh and clean unisex fragrance with weak performance.
I will say that I tend to not like clean lemon fragrances because they often remind me of lemon scented cleaning products.
Fico di Amalfi smells like a woody table that has been wiped with a fancy lemon cleaner under a fig tree during a summer afternoon. The only highlight is the fig note. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Granny Autismo

Fig notes in perfumery can be pushed in more than one direction, but this fragrance brings out the honeyed nuttiness of fig in a really simple manner. I find the blu mediterranneo series to consist of many simple but elegant fragrances, but this one has a little more depth than some of the others like arancia di capri e.g.

k u r i o n e

Compared to many other fig fragrances, Fico di Amalfi is much more approachable and very easy to wear. Like other fig-dominant fragrances, it may not be the most universally appealing and is unique, so I’d recommend testing before purchasing. Fico Di Amalfi is invigorating, vegetal, but also slightly sweet. It opens with a blast of refreshing citrus which blends well with the fig that comes in soon after. Longevity is minimal and performs more like an EDC; however, this would be ideal for someone who doesn't like heavy, thick, headache-inducing fragrances. It is very fresh and can be applied generously.

aaronmy

Lovely summer scent. Initially I didn't like this on a paper strip, but it's a lot better on skin. It's not very intense, but it probably shines in the heat. The fig note doesn't stay as long as I expected, but again, there's no summer heat at the time I'm wearing this. This is a lovely freshy, the performance isn't amazing, but for the summer I'm not sure if longevity is needed. Once summer comes, I'm testing this out in the heat. I know it'll be awesome.

sebastiang071

Great summer fragrance, just really weak!

epichodeng

Love a fig scent, a little greener smelling (a bit more unisex) than Light Blue Italian Love. But it does not last, disappears within 1.5 hour.

Aline Dias

This isn’t bad, but for me the smell is just like a good fig homespray… I don’t really appreciate how it goes on skin

antoniov

It's a nice fresh/clean scent mostly appropriate for spring days. I wouldn't see this as a night or sexy date kind of perfume. It is a chic scent for those who would like to smell nice, clean and forest fresh. Not my type of fresh/clean scent though.

ameliahartanta

I like Arancia di Capri more. This smells like when I go to a hotel in Bali and smells the Jasmine flowers from the lobby. But still a beautiful one.

divenegg

I don’t find this to be fresh, it smells sour and no fruity, nothing sweet and very dry, the fig leaves are dominant. If you are looking for a fresh casual fragrance you’ll have to look somewhere else. I can’t imagine a person under 40 wearing this.

SickenedButCurious

I bought this perfume as a blind buy and didn't like it. The opening notes was pleasant at first, not anything like a typical fruity or citrus smell I was expecting, but then very quickly i smelt the grapefruit, which smelt very sour to me. Then after a few minutes it just smelt like soap. Generic soap. I got this for a nice summer perfume as I live somewhere where our summers are longer than our winters, but this just wasn't it.

Soledad89

Bright citrus scent which is even made more crisp by the fig. Usually not a fan of fig note but here it's well-blended and stays in the background for the citrus to take center stage here, to come up with a refreshing fragrance. Reminds me of Philosykos but more tart. Gorgeous unisex fragrance.

GetGUD

Oh God, this is gorgeous. Easily my favourite freshie opening. So fresh, juicy & almost bubble gum-y, but in the very best possible way. As it dries, the Citrus comes out more but to me, that Fig is utterly delicious and amazing.

Regular_dude

Smells like Zarko perfumes which is Iso E with either fruit or some flower notes added. Very uninteresting. It's smells fine, but Lagerfeld have done something similar for a fifth of the price.

Vellocet

This is a nice, fresh perfume with very realistic citrus notes. But besides that it’s not very original in my opinion. Unfortunately the fig note is very vague to my nose 🥺

Annelieva

Beautiful. The best fig scent out there. Not sweet or cloying, just fresh, spritzy and uplifting. I smell the fig immediately after spraying, then fig leaves. After a while I get a nice citrus and lemon peel skin scent. Could wish for a more long lasting performance, but it’s so good I don’t mind spraying it on me multiple times a day. I does last longer when you spray on clothes and fabric. Currently I just have a small sample, but I’m definitely buying a big bottle. I have Diptyque Philosykos EDT, but this one is less boring and has more layers to it. Not so “dry” as Philosykos edt.

McG1993

Fico di Amalfi is a fragrance I've loved for years now but I've only recently acquired a bottle of my own. The opening is a very zesty, tangy citrus with a hint of pepper. Soon after, the fig and green notes begin to shine through. This is truly a wonderful spring/summer fragrance. It's very clean and uplifting - not intoxicating in any way. I've noticed it lasting around a couple of hours or so on my skin, though it seems to still be noticeable to those around me. Definitely a one-of-a-kind scent, nonetheless; very inviting. Acqua di Parma's Blu Mediterraneo line is certainly worth checking out. This, as well as Mandorlo di Sicilia are my favorites in the lineup.

Denu

Zesty, citrusy and green opening with a touch of a mild minty note to me. It settles down quite quickly and then the fig comes through. I find this a fresh, light scent. It doesn’t last more than 3 hours on my skin and stays quite close but is fresh and a great morning scent - always makes me smile and reminds me of warmer weather.

ellovesperfume

not juicy or sweet at all. i smell citrus and pepper

velvetvice

The most green fig of all fragrances I've tried so far.

Reminds me more of a fig tree than the fruit itself.

Super airy and fresh, perfectly blended. I like it, but I wish it was a little more bold.

HihiCS

Okay, first of all: At first, I did not really know what to think about this fragrance, I blind bought it and it smelled a bit grandma-esque to me. But after wearing it a bit I rapidly started to like and eventually love it. It has been by main fragrance last summer. I really love the ultra realistic, natural smells of Acqua di Parma scents, and this one is no exeption! The juicy fig, oh my god. I will 100% wear this one next summer again and I cannot wait for it! Longevity and sillage are both moderate, but I actually like that - you can go really low with it but also it can really stand out if you spray a little more, which makes it perfect for a lot of occasions (for me, at least, however, not in the club or something like that, it's more of a day fragrance).

TJHurc

People always talking about the longevity being bad but i sprayed this on my dads skin (he loves figs, has about 40 trees) to see how photorealistic the fig was to his nose. Besides the point, this mf fragrance somehow lasted 24 hours as a skin scent on his skin while on mine it lasts a solid 7-8 hours

Afrikano

My second favorite from the house but it’s a extremely close second right behind Arancia Di Capri. This fragrance is a fresh but fruity/juicy smell with citruses. I wore this heavy this summer and really enjoyed it, definitely back up bottle worthy. I get mostly a juicy fig, with citruses and then cedar in the back to give it more depth. It honestly almost smells like a exotic drink. If there was a fragrance category similar to how gourmands are fragrances that smell like food but for drinks instead, this would definitely make the top spot

jeehe

This is a good citrus forward take on fig. Definitely a summer fragrance. Has moderate longevity. It’s nice but I don’t find myself reaching for it.

Heavenly Heather

Opens with a blast of citrusy goodness.. then jammy fig and a some green notes. Smells like an actual fig tree full of its ripened fruits. I’m a sucker for fig in fragrance’s and this one nails it. Such a gorgeous unisex scent.

joselucianosandemaite40

Love it..Got a huge sample at Macys with zero expectations and loved it..Fruity, sweet and it lasts 6 hours on my skin..I will buy it in a few days

BootneyLee

Beautiful, light and airy scent. The citrus top with the fig base make one of the most unique scents I've had the pleasure of. Really reminds you of what the Italian coast would smell like. As with most citrus scents, it doesn't last. 6 sprays to the torso lasts about 3-4 hours and you can't detect it anymore. But man o man those are 3-4 wonderful hours. Great for the gym!

Mystères du Château de Dé

Quite strong in projection and longevity, for the brand. Perhaps the penetrating notes in the blend add to this impression. Like many AdP, this is pretty and uplifting and while Mediterranean, it's first impact is not "great freshie". A perfume impact, tangy, white floral, green, fruity, almost bordering on oriental. I bought a full bottle that is already macerated and rich.

horses4ever

I normally love fig fragrances, but honestly I do not get a lot of fig out of this one. At first it smells like opening a can of citrusy seltzer. It's fizzy, bright and fresh and a little green. But on drydown it smells like a fancy soap with prominent bergamot, fig tree, cedar and a touch of jasmine and pink pepper. I'm not a huge fan but I have heard this one needs to settle in the bottle for a bit, so I'll give it some time and try it again.

am_xo

Finally got a sample and I absolutely love it. I’ve always avoided citrus fragrances because they remind me of cleaner and smelling like citruses is not my thing anyway but this is not the case. A fresh ,well blended fig and citrus fragrance. I wish I tried this sooner.

Old School Tie

Let it mature in the bottle. I get strong wafts of this at 12h. Lasts very long on clothes.

iris

Fig trees, leaves and fruit, not too ripe.
Quite a lot of of citrus without the acid.
A jasmine tree, hiding behind the corner of a street, offering its belter half only, that particular green/flowery sweetness. Maybe a bit of indoles too. There's a sweaty undertone sometimes. Something we agreed on in our family. Sweet sweat, armpits on a summer vacation, if that makes any sense. Had to scroll over the reviews here to see I'm not the only one in this. But I love it this way. Might be the grapefruit as well.
I love neroli fragrances, and this is like an iteration of neroli from a parallel universe. Same feeling of instant summer, but without the soap and the laundry. Smells so natural, transports you in the middle of a beautiful landscape immediately. You just know that it's sunny there, as in order to have all these smells blooming, you need lots of sunrays. Your nose knows. Much more than a fig in this bottle.

alkemi

Summer happiness in a bottle. Fresh, clean, juicy, fruity, fig. Perfectly unisex. I don't care about performance when something smells this amazing. Lasts just long enough. AdP is unmatched in delivering scents that can be linked to the best summer memories.

pianogoon

Clean bright fresh and a little sweet. A really nice splash of summer in a bottle.

Perfectly unisex and I’d say office safe, not a huge projector. Longevity may be the only drawback, but with this kind of summer scent it’s sort of what is expected

derby2169

An excellent sweet fig fragrance. Nice and bright on the top with a nectar like fruitiness.
It dries down into gentle woods and sweet benzoin.
Definitely worth trying if you like fig notes but don't want any coconut or sandalwood in the mix. Longevity could be better.

agonzony

What is going on with Acqua di Parma?

Once my favorite house, I feel like they're totally dropping the ball the past few years. They're really doubling down on their endless string of fragrances showcasing a single dominating note, particularly floral notes as of late. Don't forget their exclusive Harrod's fragrance, Zafferano, that no one else gets to experience. Look at the very few reviews of these recent offerings. Hardly anyone is interested in them. They just aren't impressive. Next, spend some time on their social media. They have spent months marketing a special edition Mirto di Panarea that has been on the market for YEARS. It's a fine fragrance, I own the original, but it's not particularly interesting. It's not like the fragrance community talks about it much. Why spend months marketing a years-old fragrance that was simply repackaged in a gimmicky, new bottle? Finally, examine HOW they market their fragrances. They're constantly throwing these swanky brunches with fancy table arrangements which only the smallest percentage of the wealthy class will ever attend. Is that the target audience? Unfortunately, it seems like it. They price their fragrances exorbitantly high but you'll see them on resale websites for a TINY fraction of their retail price. $300 for Lily of the Valley? Are you out of your mind? In what world is that a $300 fragrance? People are having difficulty reselling it online for $50-60. The average person just isn't interested in AdP and won't spend much to obtain one.

I'm not sure that this will ever be read by someone at AdP, but, if so, please know that I love many AdP offerings. I own seven. Colonia is one of my favorite of my entire collection. The brand has such potential, I wish AdP would do more to tap into that potential. Please stop with the "ingredients" fragrances and build a modern successor to the legendary Colonia. Not a Colonia FLANKER, put that line to rest. Create the next iconic Italian magnum opus in perfumery for the 21st century. A new fragrance. Something that is high-quality, mass appealing, and UNIQUE. It should set trends in the fragrance world. Finally, the NUMBER ONE complaint about AdP fragrances is that they have serious performance issues. Pull out all the stops. Retain the best perfumer in the world and create a halo fragrance that silences the critics: make it project and make it last. AdP was once at the top of the fragrance world; it has all the potential to be there once again if it's willing to adapt with the times, and focus less on marketing the frills of wealth and status, and more on the perfumery itself.

Gioia's secret

I was always avoiding these giant blue bottles at store as I was sure that they are made for men. But how I was wrong! I wish I have tested it earlier especially as the summer is almost over and this line was definitely created to summer use.
Fico di Amalfi is so fresh, clean scent, fig tree and fig nectar notes make it more unique.
The only downside: it’s a plastic blue bottle, I wish that they have used different materials, like glass or metal, plastic cap has really worsened my customer experience

KateWest

This fragrance is really special. You might think this is a run of the mill bergamont freshie upon initial spray but as the peppery, citrus top notes dissipate, this morphs into the creamiest, green, jasmine puff of heaven. The jasmine and fig milk really work well together. The soft, milky quality to the drydown make this a more feminine offering but the cedar and pepper notes keeps things structured and unisex. Performance could be better but tbh, this might become offensive it was more potent.

The Wolf

I grew up with a fig tree in the yard and used to play in the tree, eat the figs, snap branches and get the fig milk sap all over myself. This smells exactly like I remember the leaves and tree smelling (although not as potent as getting the tree all over you) in my yard. I'm a fan of the house and I'm a fan of this fragrance. Very nostalgic and decent performance for an Acqua Di Parma colonia. You can find this for a fair price on ebay and you don't need to worry about fakes because this brand is not counterfeited like Tom Ford, Le Labo, Kilian, etc. This is the PERFECT niche starter fragrance that is great in any weather or occasion except for nights out. Easy to wear. A pleasure to wear as well!

Scent 7.5/10
Performance 6/10

Old School Tie

Ultra realistic walk along the fig tree lined trails where I live in the south of Spain. I like it best in hot, humid weather although it can easily be used in cooler temperatures. I get resonable performance from this fragrance, easily 6 hours and the scent is detectable when you move around. Definitely in the top 3 scents from the AdP Blu Mediterraneo line. This does remind me of Loewe Paula’s Ibiza in the early phase but the dry-downs are different and the AdP has a more subtle performance profile but fig leaf and cedar remain very persistent on the skin. Very natural smelling, summer scent, best for day or early evening, lasts long enough and you can spray something else over it for nightime or going out. Lasts well on clothes.

hcarrach

So, I have been on the search for a fragrance that is similar to the smell of the Harry's Body Wash in Fig. This body wash smells heavenly, and is VERY similar to the Old Navy Sea Salt and Fig perfume that has been discontinued. On opening--I hate this scent, the first ten minutes of it, it smells like lemon floor cleaner and body odor, maybe it's just my body chemistry, but after it dries down that all goes away. The lemon scent in this does lean chemical to me but it does not make me like it any less. Once it warms up, it becomes a sweeter and less sour/sharp. I really, really like this scent, BUT I think that the old navy sea salt and fig does the same scent profile much better for much less(if you can grab it from amazon or eBay). The lasting power is not the greatest, but I still get at least 5 hours out of it. I don't think I'll buy the full size but I will enjoy the travel size I have.

Breaves95

Greatness. Seven hours plus in 103 - 110 humid heat in Dallas, TX. Buy the big bottle. If you are in a heat wave, BUY THIS. Only buy from a discounters. It will save you a hundred bucks. BLIND BUY WORTHY.

AA4102

Lovely, LOVELY smell, but Fico has no staying power. It's such a shame as it's truly a beautiful fragrance. Nevertheless, I enjoy its company, I just wish it could last a little longer.

Nvans

Special scent, I think it's the fig that really makes you like this or hate this. My girlfriend likes this, I think it's good but not wow. It's just tough because it's a strong smell that's hard to place. If I could compare it to something it's freshly cut gras and pruning trees on steroids if that makes sence...

Rafrosa

Very earthy fig - not juicy or fresh. Definitely leans feminine. Not necessarily great for high heat due to the earthy, slightly powdery/creamy nature of the fig. Any lady I’ve had smell this loves it, but more in a “hey that’s something I would like to wear myself” way as opposed to a “that smells so sexy on you” kind of way…

DarlingLovely

Fun, fruity fig! Not much else to write home about for me, but it's good.

Scent: 9/10
Box and bottle: 9/10
Longevity: 310
Sillage: 3/10
A natural smelling fresh creamy fragrance that is unique and classy but impotent!!

venusbruises

I first tried Fico di Amalfi in March when it was still winter here and I absolutely hated it. It smelled gross and the milky quality of the fig made me sick to the point I had to wash the scent off right away. I put the bottle into the back of my cabinet and decided to sell it. It's July now and I decided to test it once more just to see if it really was as bad as I remembered and ok, weird, it smells like I remember it smelling but now I like it a lot??? I've been wearing it for a couple of days and it's fresh and aromatic, a very pleasant summer scent. The milkiness is more creamy and somehow more muted than it was in the middle of winter. It's so strange how the season affects how you experience a fragrance.

Midwest Betty

One of the most realistic fig fragrances I have ever experienced. I wish the cedar and jasmine lent a hand in helping the longevity but that’s ok. I bought this in a set which had been generously marked down. It has a shower gel and also a fabulous spray lotion which I layer the juice over. I get to be completely engulfed in this fresh, bright and zesty scent. It’s warm weather, it’s coastal, but like most of the blu mediterraneo line it doesn’t last more than 4 hours on skin for me. I need to spray and re spray these. This is my favorite in this line and will repurchase when I run out.

SprayLove

I just got this fragrance and I can't stop wearing it! It's an amazing fresh summery scent but very different, quite creamy with the fig. The drydown is a classic italian cologne drydown. So a bright fresh fruity opening and a nice classy woodsy drydown. Fig is probably my favorite fruit and it's extremely well done. It's not too sweet and creamy.

AoiUsagi

What a heartbreaker. Gorgeous, gorgeous lively citrus-fig, but barely lasts two hours. I would make this my daily scent if it stuck around just a hair longer.

ChefBats

You have a meeting and you are rendezvousing in an expensive, elegant more like James Bondish hotel. You inhale and this smell hit you. The drapes, the carpet, the powdery scent, the lobby flowers all mixed togeter. This is just luxe and freshness combined.

Remmel

Fico de Amalfi is such a bright, fresh scent. It's more of a sweeter take on a citrus fragrance, where the opening reminds me more of granny smith apples than lemons, and then it dries down to a softer fruity fig. It's the first fragrance I've tried from Acqua di Parma, and it really does smell like an Italian summer. Very unisex and long lasting, for a citrus scent.

paolatravella

My favourite perfume at the moment, very fresh, citrussy and a lovely fig note. The only sad part is that it doesn't last long at all, 3hours max for me. I spray it on my clothes as well where the cedar and fig note stay a bit longer.

RisingChaos

Fruity, juicy fig with a touch of rindy citrus and woody base. Soft, powdery, slightly green. Fresh but with a bitter tinge and an almost overripe pungency. Soft projection for 2-3hr, longevity 4-5hr.

Serpentarius

Beautiful green fragrance on me. The citrus doesn't come through as much as the fig leaf (?) I believe. I've never been around fig trees but something tells me this is a 'photorealistic' interpretation. Ghastly performance, not sure if I even got an hour. I'm sniffing hard and its barely there. Leans a bit feminine for me. I think my skin grabs a hold of jasmine.

It's a pass for me, even though I enjoy the scent. Just not for me.

Jbicanic89

Such a beautiful fragrance. Very unisex, my only issue was it didn't last long enough.

saccitygrl01

Lovely! Juicy grapefruit/bergamot opening that settles down to become a woodsy green scent. Unisex but definitely leans a bit feminine. Unfortunately it doesn't last long, even by AdP standards. I got 2 hours of wear at best even after overspraying. Not sure this is FB worthy although I love it!

aczwy

this is going to sound weird because i do genuinely think this is really pretty but something in the opening also reminds me of.....a sweaty gym sock....? not sure what combination of notes is giving me that impression, but that aside, this is unmistakeably figgy with the same soft fruit vibe you can expect of all fig-forward scents.

Nose for a bouquet

A lightweight spicy fragrance, with a leading, fresh, fruity, but milky fig. It opens with a blast of citrus, which comes off to me as mandarin, and slowly fades into a very light, fig scent, gently supported some woodiness.

Mina Abdo

I am not big fan of green fragrances, but this is by far the best fresh green/ fig fragrance I've tried.

AxeBodySpray

After the pretty good but short citrus blast up front, all I get is fig and jasmine. Still rather masculine. I don't get any wood.

You know during the hipster craze there were those older gentlemen with silver hair and beard with very stylish suits and accessories? I picture them wearing this.

The dry down smells to me like what your clothes smell like when they get soaked in the rain.

Sprayed this 2 hours ago and it's barely noticable now. I've been sitting at home at comfortable 23.5 degrees.

I am not a huge fan of the smell. Definitely suits the older men than younger. The silage and longevity is abysmal.

riquero

This is really good! The dry down is more woody than I had expected (I hadn’t expected it at all),and it’s my favorite part. Beautiful cedar.

eholley485

I will be wearing this ALOT this summer. Very pleasant smell. Definitely will get compliments.

marimarooo

One of the most accurate fig scents ever. I grew up around figs and this scent brings back many good memories. It incorporates all parts of the fig. The very beginning is citrusy but that fades quick, then you get the fig fruit with a slight hint of the leaves, in the drydown you get more of the leaves/stems. It doesn't last long or project much though.

DonD13

What absolutely pleasant freshy.
Surprising performance for such a light scent.
Love it.

lavendertownghoul

I have many, many perfumes and this is my favorite. Truly unisex, fresh, spicy, juicy, and irresistible.

jessicacau

This is the only brand in which each fragrance is of high quality, long lasting! With every fragrance I have associations in Italy, every time I travel I bring a new perfume with me.

eholley485

Really enjoyable fragrance. Opens up with citrus and grapefruit. Then dries down to fig and cedar. Last about 6 hrs on my skin clothing a little bit longer. It’s in a blue bottle buts feels more green to me.

the_enigmatic_oblong

Delicious, delicious, delicious! This is very fresh and beautiful. Like most in this range it smells very natural. Wish it could last longer and project better. Projection is moderate, it will last you around 3 hours but I guess with a smell like this it would be hard to make it last and project more. It’s very natural and I guess with that comes a price of lesser sillage. Regardless, I love it and when I’m wearing it I can’t stop smelling my wrists.

btd069

Fantastic, natural smelling Fig Fragrance. Citrus, Fig, Florals & Woods. Longevity is terrible on my skin......4 hours and it's pretty much gone. Not a huge projector to begin with. I just bring it with me and respray. At this niche price point, I just expected way better longevity, sillage and projection. Got a really good deal, $60 for a 5oz bottle so i bit the bullet and grabbed it. Had I payed retail, I would have been pretty dissatisfied.

cpdavies

Does it last? No. And that's ok! I don't want my perfume to last more than an hour or two. I want a burst of freshness and then it's gone. There's nothing worse than cloying perfume still on your skin when you go to the gym. Also, the bottle is HUGE so you can spray with abandon every few hours. Which I do, because this one is addictive and I just can't get enough of it.

Daisy_D

It’s sunny, fresh, juicy, aromatic, and citrousy. The pink pepper is a highlight to it. The first two stages are just generally delightful. But after the dry down, it becomes slightly more woody, figgy, and milky. It’s with lower threshold for most people who fancy fig fragrance.

Frag/cook

I'm a bit disappointed, honestly I've ordered it blindly based on YouTube and fragrantica reviews.
1st of all it's not that green, nor woody, it's much more fruity.
2nd thing (and here is the shock) it has much more peach than fig !!
It's "pretty" more than fresh, which brings the next point.
3rd, it's feminine leaning (or young feminine to be accurate).

I rarely use it without layering with dry woody fragrances

(Note: it has resemblance to Osmanthus from AdP, which is less peachy and more fruity and woody)

This fragrance never fails to put me in a good mood, its just so carefree and upbeat.
perfect for summer vacations, and can be found reasonably cheap on discounters.

A lovely recreation of fig leaf smell.

Green fig smell with slight fruitiness on a light woody and dusty base of cedar. This is more fig leaf than fig fruit as it lacks the fruity gourmand sweetness of the fig fruit.

A nice, green fresh scent. Good for neutral and warm weather wear. Even on cold days this would smell good. However, if you live in a very hot place (>35C/95F), this may not be very suitable and you may want to go for something fresher, fruitier, or zestier. Something like Acqua di Parma's own Blu Mediterraneo Arancia di Capri.

I have been to Sorrento, Italy, which you may know is situated on the Amalfi coast. Yet only smelling this three years after visiting, it takes me right back. the best way I could sum it up is by saying: 'Southern coastal Italy in a bottle'.

The performance isn't great, it brings me so much joy, I couldn't care less how it performs. Easily the best scent I have tried.

Yet keep in mind that this is a subjective and personal viewpoint.

sandalwoodandfreshleaves

soo pretty, I can't stop smelling it, if only it lasted longer and sillage was better:(( very prominent fig in the best way possible; fresh but creamy at the same time, kind of spa-y however not in the most basic way in which the majority perfumes in this genre qualify as,

gingerying

I love this a lot. I am definitely going to wear this throughout spring-summer and maybe even autumn this year.
It settles into a nice gentle fig smell. Pretty unique.

AdP perfumes aren't famous for lasting long, but I think this is the longest lasting in the Blu Mediterraneo range. I actually disagree with a lot of commenters here —— on me, this lasts a long time, pretty much all day. However I do spray more liberally than other perfumes (5-6 sprays) to get that effect. It lasts 24 hours on clothes.

It is subtle, however. Won't fill a room. But anyone next to you or passing by you will pick up on it, and probably complement you.

Ray009

Very nice fragrance, but it does smell a lot like Prada Luna Rossa (which I love) after 30 minutes or so.

Yaranimer

If i ever planned a trip to the amalfi coast this is what i would pack. its a beautiful citrus that last very long on the skin. If you like beachy citrus scents you will really enjoy this. 8.5/10

ayken

I love how watery this feels, citrusy and fig, mouthwatering type of scent. Really beautiful, So airy and fresh i love it 10/10, perfect fpr summer and even for winter. Has this warm feeling to it. A lovely unisex perfume for every day use or for a signature scent

Skipcon

A brilliant fresh, uplifting, perfume. One of the best creations from Acqua Di Parma.

Right off the top, this juicy fig really elevates this perfume to something unique in my opinion. Although fig isn't a note you see too often off the top, this perfume for me is regarded as one of the best fig fragrances, a fig reference. As soon as you spray this, this sweet-cored fig will be the first thing you smell, backed up by sparkling bergamot.

As it develops, it turns into this woody base, with a wisp of fig still remaining, but not as prominent. The fig does stay throughout, more so than the citruses at the top.

I can see a lot of resemblances between this and Philosykos by Diptyque, and that would be valid. But that fragrance has a fresh cut fig smell, as in imagining every part of the fig, with the rind and parts that aren't so sweet, whereas with this it's more of sweetened fig milk.

For me, this is a great spring-summer scent. This is most certainly unisex. Projection and longevity is OK, it's not amazing, but you wouldn't expect it to.

It's a 4/5 for me.

Simply because I wish this belted out all day, but it doesn't, but I don't think it needs to.

I like this cologne, but it caught me totally by surprise. As fragrances often to do, my first waft of Fico di Amalfi brought me vividly back to a particular day in my childhood.

I was 9 or 10 years old, and had discovered the delightful figs of my grandmother’s fig tree. They were perfectly ripe; sweet, and aromatic; warmed by the summer sun. It was late afternoon, and being focused navigating the tangle of limbs and leaves to pluck the last remaining fruits just out of my reach, I didn’t hear my grandmother come out of her kitchen door. I remember the rush of guilt I felt when I heard her say, “So, I see you found my figs?”. Although I couldn’t see her, I was immediately relieved when I detected the smile in her voice. I slipped down from my cluttered perch, bare feet squishing atop the spent figs, and sheepishly looked up as she smiled down at me.

I hadn’t thought of that day in many years, until I opened this bottle of cologne. The ripe, warm summer fig, which is the heart, and soul of the cologne, not only brought back palpable memory and emotion in me, it allowed me, through my years of living since, to recognize the pleasure in my grandmother’s face knowing that her grandson was enjoying something so innocently, and completely.

This smells nothing like Philosykos. There is only a block of the fig accord in Philosykos that is also present in this one too. But other than that Philosykos is a lot greener and milky, less fresh and airy.

The drydown reminds me more of the Sea Salt and Sage from Jo Malone.

As we are going towards spring and summer this is going to be my everyday perfume

〰✴ A citrusy fig for an energy burst ✴〰

(And a quick comparison with Diptyque’s ‘Philosykos’)

As my usual, as soon as it sprayed this scent in the boutique I absolutely did not like it, because I have no patience while I'm in the shop. So I took my time testing it out and I, of course, changed my mind.
Fico di Amalfi is that kind of scent that I’d like to spray early morning on those days when I'm feeling down, unmotivated and grumpy, because it’s a positive energy booster. The opening is 100% citrusy, these top notes are so predominant that there is no fig at all. As the scent sets, the fig note (both tree and fruit) becomes much more prominent, but the citrus will always remain until the very end. This is an extremely fresh and green scent, super summery, clean and pleasant. Even if it's simple it is not a basic perfume, it’s minimalistic and cheerful but sophisticated at the same time. Ultimate unisex, for me it's great for people of any age. It has an intimate sillage and low longevity. I also really like the bottle design, very simple and essential but not serious or boring. I'm a bit disappointed by the format range (30ml, 75ml or 150ml): the small one costs too much, the large one is too much product. For an EDT maybe it costs a bit too much in my opinion.

I'd like to spend a few words to make a small comparison to Diptyque's Philosykos, because I tried out Fico di Amalfi while exploring fig scents and this will be helpful for some fig lovers out there, maybe. The substantial difference between the two is the following: Philosykos has the milky, lactose note of the fig fruit, which makes it a sweet and yummy fragrance, while in Fico di Amalfi the citrus is absolutely preponderated, making it extremely fresh, pungent and slightly ozonic. They are both very green fig fragrances, but they’re two completely different experiences. Personally, I prefer Philosykos because the sour citrus note of Fico di Amalfi annoys me quickly, I'd like it more as a room scent - which I just found out that actually exists, but it's way too expensive.

Setting & Feelings: It’s summertime and you're on vacation in Southern Italy. You're absolutely carefree, and you're enjoying your time with your beloved family. You're wearing white linen clothes, and you're walking barefoot in the grass. In this garden you’re protected by the trees, so sun is not burning your skin at all. For a snack you have freshly picked right from the tree with homemade fresh lemonade.

Overall: 7/10

Delicious organic free range fig.
It opens up citrusy and fresh but almost immediately dries down into beautiful natural fig. It’s extremely earthy and raw, like something just picked from the garden.
I tend to reach for this one most days. There is something very comforting about this fragrance, which I find quite difficult to point out. After initial fresh citrusy blast dries down there is not much change, which is probably for the best. The only down fall is logevity. I’d love to be able to smell it for as long as possible, but god…it disappears quickly. Also it would suit anyone, it would smell delicious on boys, girls and everyone in-between.

I also have Premier Figuier L'Artisan Parfumeur sample, which is significantly sweeter, Fico di Amalfi is more natural.

Another attractive aspect of perfume is a price point. Let me know if anyone found a cheaper fig fragrance.

bogdanzuev

smells like wet clothes

Alireza.D2

Opens citrusy ozonic and very bright, then you face a nice fig scent with touches of creamy notes for the heart and after a couple of hrs it dries down to very beautiful cedar wood.
Delicate but not lasting long.
This one is a lighter brighter version of Diptyque Philosykos.

Age:+25

Hot summer days.
Lasts 3-4 hrs with medium projection

cielazure

Very lovely citrus & fig cologne which doesn't smell as milky as Philosykos or as green as Un Jardin En Mediterranee, but just clean and pure fig aroma all the way. I like this scent but I prefer it more as the fragrance candle (I have it too) than on my skin.

lorihollie

One of my favorite summer fragrances! Ugh, I want to wear this and walk around in a Mediterranean garden in a flower printed dress. What you get is a fresh, citrusy fig fragrance. So obviously you need to be a fan of fig to like this fragrance. The best fragrance from ADP.

kachimalik

It’s dominat but not in ur face. Beautiful fragrance through and true. For a mature man with a mature nose. Not a screamer to be honest but people will defo know you there

EspenE

Love this fragrance. When i spray this it takes me back to Greece. Fig is such a nice note!

FragheadSideJob

This is so green. It smells like you snapped open a twig from a fig tree plus a light waft of grapefruit. This is an absolutely beautiful, light, fresh, uplifting scent. But I never find myself reaching for it to wear. It's more something I spray on a card and just smell when I need a mood boost in the middle of the day. It would be better as a room spray. Not that it smells chemical or artificial at all. Just not really a body fragrance.

rapscallion

I like this scent, but I don’t love it.

It opens with a citrus ozonic blast. Very bright and sharp.

Within 10-15, it transitions into a very green, vegetal fig scent — both trees and barely ripe fruit. There is very little sweetness.

After a few hours, the dry down includes significant cedar, which read slightly masculine on me.

Overall, enjoyable, but I’d pick the creamier, longer lasting Phylosiklos Diptyque every time.

Dusk

Opens with airy, ozonic, breezy citrus. A lot of it.

After the first stage, it becomes a green scent. In the core notes, you can smell fig leaves and tree's cortex, but I cannot detect the lactonic quality of the fruit or nectar at all. Sadly, the performances are a problem, since it lasts approximately 3 hours. What a pity! It could have been a great, photorealistic fig tree scent-centered-fragrance. It is, still - enjoy it while it (briefly) lasts!

Lucyintheskywithdiamonds

Citrus orchards! Fig trees! Sparkling lagoons! Sunshine! Where I live it is now dark winter, snow storms and frozen sea. Maybe just for a couple of fleeting hours but I so need you, Fico de Amalfi, to give me the fragrant summer of Mediterranean. And you give, and I love you!

klogan224

Minority vote here, but I hate it. If I didn't know fig is in here I wouldn't guess on a blind sniff, I guess the greenness could be fig tree, but it could just as easily be something else. It clashes with my chemistry in a way that no other fragrance has, it smells like lemon pledge. There's a brief period after 3+ hours that is tolerable, but it's so faint that picking any particular note out is a challenge. 4 hours, and it's gone.

booneht

This fragrance makes me want to quit everything and move to the Mediterranean coast of Italy.

A beautiful, light, very uplifting scent! This scent invokes memories that I just don't have in the first place. It is like vacation every time I spray this and I love it. I find myself spraying this throughout the year on myself just for the enjoyment of the summer vibes it gives me.

Yes, the entire Mediteraneo series are known for not lasting very long, but the price on this gem is absolutely affordable and you can spray this as much as you want without having a heart attach that a couple of droplets didn't hit your body.

It's completely unisex, some people might even argue it leans on the feminine side, but you should not care, wear this in the summer and enjoy the beauty of it, because the people around you will too!

Pink Grapefruit + Italian Neroli + Bergamot Lime + Lemon + white Vanilla Absolute + sweetness possibly from 'fig' + Cedarwood + a hint of Pink Pepper

Blind Buy bottle. I picked up a 120ml bottle for only $70 bucks CND. Which was an amazing deal so it made me take the plunge of not only buying it based on a friend loving it, but this is also my gateway bottle into this house. Being Italian myself i've always been curious about their line, but was thinking it was for an older generation.

Opening is a BLAST of beautiful real pink grapefruit, and maybe a touch of citrus bergamot lime, it's refreshing and delicious!! Smells so real! I guess im also getting a lemon citron note that gives it a zing tanginess which i appreciate because it's the type of lemon note that does NOT smell like a cleaning product.
On the skin it isn't oily, on my fingers it is, bizarre (leaky atomizer).
Then very light white florals come into play after the opening, with maybe a light spicy peppery cedar note.
And to be honest, that's pretty much all im getting. Everyone below me is commenting on this glorious note of fig, but tbh i don't really smell it, im mainly getting pink grapefruit, and that's okay by me cause im absolutely loving it!! <3
This is the high-heat day unicorn fragrance i might be looking for.

But..........................this mf frag doesn't last longer than an hour on my skin!!! Augh! Im soooo disappointed & frustrated!
I love this scent so much, i want it to last a few hours at least. It's sooo refreshing, clean and uplifting, it's such a beautiful scent and just the right touch of florals! Tbh, it's actually a body mist skin scent, not a perfume, let's just be honest here.

So i just did a day #2 test and over-sprayed like crazy on my arm to see it's performance. I got an awful dose of alcohol for an entire min. After it burnt off, im back in love with it, only for it to disappear after an hour...sigh....

This is an AMAZING after a shower body mist frag, as well as a non-cloying high-heat day fragrance, but it just doesn't last man....you'll need to keep reapplying it through out the day. Will be doing so next summer with a travel atomizer in my pocket/car glove box.
This is such a simple, real, delicious scent, it kills me that it doesn't last, and i absolutely love it!
One point taken away due to low projection & low longevity. It breaks my heart this doesnt last longer than an hour, almost criminal.

4/5 Woofs!

Very disappointing as a fig scent. This reminds me of something from Santa Maria Novella. You really have to dig for the fig scent in it in contrast to something like Eros Fig (Libertine) or Premier Figuier (L'Artisan). It's light, fresh, citrusy, with an almost Acqua di Gio (Armani) vibe, and then the fig comes later in dry down. It's very sweet for fig, lacking the green and mineralic elements that make other figs so lovely to me. I have to wear it more and will likely update this.

After wearing it a bit more, I can find the mineral-like elements in it. More and more it just reminds me of Demeter's Fig Leaf. A perfectly clean, sweet, slightly chalky fig the more it dries down the more that seems to be the direction. Does it offer anything more than Demeter for the price?

bleukreuz

Fresh and slightly sweet citrus fig blend. Perfectly unisex. Very inoffensive and pleasing. Kinda smell like the shampoo I use. Too bad it's pretty weak. Would probably only work in warmer climate or Summer.

ilayda

The fig in this is STUNNING. Reminds me of the stunning beaches in Turkey under ripe fig trees. Definitely a fruity woody citrus scent with strong notes of fig, grapefruit and bergamott. Its slightly sweet and very fresh and has a bit of a spicy dry down. Theres a aromatic lemon in there too and it creates a beautiful citrus scent with different layers as the scent develops.

ClassicsLover

This really brings back the Mediterranean for me. For my 20th wedding anniversary, my husband surprised me with a trip through the Mediterranean and this really gives me the same feeling I had while there. Light, happy, carefree; memories of swimming in the beautiful azure sea under blue skies with sunshine all the time; the sights; the sounds; the great food; and especially the wonderful people. This is a lovely scent of memories for me. I don't care that it's light or doesn't last. I'm happy with just how it makes me feel. And isn't feeling good one of the purposes of perfume? Best yet, this is a scent that my husband and I can share as it smells just as good on him as it does on me.

jzryl

This is a sweet pleasant fig scent for me, only lasts 30 minute before becoming a skin scent what a pity.

Hojoko46584

I’m not a big fan of citrusy perfumes. They often turn into cat piss on me. But THIS is like the first ray of sunshine after a week of rain. For me, the sweet fig, grapefruit and lemon combo somehow turns into sweet Mandarin or sweet Israeli pomelo(the green kind). It’s so fresh and yummy. I love to over spray this to feel like a walking Mandarin. I wish it last longer than 3 hours.

kyohaine

If this only had better performance, I would cop a bottle...I'm getting a more delicate peach/apricot note instead of fig, but this makes it smell much more like summer! The drydown is where it starts to lean more towards masculine, the benzoin and woody notes kick in - so good!

alyllauren

The notes of this are gorgeous, and when I smelled it on paper I fell in love... it evokes all of the Mediterranean notes other fragrances might be missing. However, on my skin I really only got the fig nectar and fig tree throughout the entire wear, which was disappointing because I really wanted the full symphony. Just not for my skin chemistry, I guess. Also, I wasn't expecting beast performance since this is fig and citrus, after all, but I have similar perfumes that handily outperform the 5 hour wear time I got from this.

Grensfall

A lovely fruity summer scent. The opeing gives you a blast of a bitter sweet juicy fruit combo which leans towards the feminine side. As the fragrance dries down there are some woods comming out to balance the sweetnes out. The scent stays fruity for most of its duration. A very good chioce for warm weather and this will offend no one. If you are looking for a masculine fragrance Fico di Amalfi is not for you, but if you want something most women like to smell on you and that they like to wear themselves then this is an excellent choice.

jarno1208

I like it. Very strong, but pleasant Fig note and Fig tree note as well. Totally unisex in my opinion. Fresh and uplifting scent for sure. Perfect for summer and the hotter weather. How ever if you don't like Fig note then this is not for you. If you are looking for masculine scent this is not for you either as this straight in the middle of the road unisex.

style1015

This is a lovely summer scent, and one of my favorites that I've tried from the Blu Mediterraneo line. AdP specializes in fresh, bright, uplifting and likable summer scents, and they use Italy as their inspiration which makes a lot of sense, and in my opinion is a great way to evoke some Italian riviera nostalgia.

Fico di Amalfi has that brightness from all the different citruses in the top, but the fig in this is the star (as the name would suggest.) It also makes it a bit more interesting than your run of the mill summer freshies, while still maintaining its likability. You get a fig that, instead of being overly green or bitter like in some fig scents, is actually very jammy and ever so slightly sweet, which is a nice, subtle contrast to those fresh citruses. Again, it's not very sweet at all, but there is a jammy-ness that perfectly mixes both tart and sweetness. The subtle benzoin is probably also contributing. I think the listed note of "fig nectar" makes a lot of sense.

There is still the more woody and leafy notes of the base from the fig leaf and cedar, but it all balances so well. The final result is this lovely juicy, somewhat pulpy fig fruit, with a bright presence and some subtle complexity from the leafy/woody base notes. A real lovely scent and one definitely worth trying from the line. It's pretty unisex to my nose.

Performance on this one actually pleasantly surprised me. It radiates nicely, where someone can smell it on you if you're 5-10 feet away, and it remains for a solid 5-7 hours on me. My father also gets some sold performance out of it and it lasts long on him. Not a beast mode scent by any means, but definitely not a citrus scent that disappears in an hour.

JmThms

I love date and fig sweet fruit/nectar fragrances, and I've been looking for ones with a prominent fig fruit note. Well, I can keep looking because I have not found that here. This fragrance shares a dominant, slightly bitter, slightly astringent, light green fig leaf/tree/bark accord with Dior Dune Pour Homme and Diptyque Philisycos. The accord stack on here should have "green" in the stack, moreover it should be listed at the top or second from top. There is no real definitively recognizable RIPE sweet fig fruit accord. The closest I've found in a fragrance so far is Dolce&Gabbana K EDP's fig nectar note. The best date fruit note I've yet found in a fragrance is in John Varvatos original, and "fruity" is listed as the top dominant accord and the actual fragrance manifests the date note gloriously! Oh well. I have the Dior Dune Pour Homme bottle and a decant of Philosykos. I guess this AdP Fico di Amalfi will join them. This is a very nice fragrance. Its pleasant and unique as Green fig scents are as summer freshies. It is a bit sweeter than Dune and maybe even a bit sweeter than Philosykos. But it's kind of a diffuse citrus sweetness. Not the recognizable plump, chewy-textured, sweet, dominant fig fruit I want.

MattNwmn

I love it. Yet, has common problems of AdP. Silage is weak.. wish it would fil the room.

Anoeta

I did not like this one on first spray (early spring). Reminded me of a cleaning spray that would be used in a hospital setting for some reason. Also leaned more feminine. Tried it again in the warmer summer months and it's a different beast completely, and now like it a lot. Nice grapefruit in the opening until the fig appears. The fig here is very peach-like and almost creamy. Dry down is woody along with that peach note. Works way better in the summer. Definitely a unique summer scent.
