Rawaa Al Haramain Perfumes for women

I bought this at fragrancenet 4 months ago and it still smells the same from first opening. None of the delightfully surprising decant development or blooming of notes that some reviews promise just a harsh bug spray. My first foray in "Middle Eastern" cheapies and I'm disappointed. Does anyone have any well-intentioned and sincere recommendations for a Black Opium dupe or some good Arabian dupe companies?

Leave on your shelf for a few months and then smell it again. It changes! From a screechy nothing scent to a subtle gourmand. Very pretty. Also with decants: leave it for a few weeks. It will become better!

i had high hopes for this perfume. I like all the " so-called"-ingredients..... NOT in this bottle
I is mostly an Arabian Perfume. heavy and very thick. It gives me nausea.
For me it smells like 13 in a dozen-arabinan perfumes. So
no coffee
no almond
and further no sweetness at all

I so wanted to love this one, because of the notes listed, but it's a huge note. There's no sweetness on my skin, no vanilla, just a bitter and almost sour fresh almond scent, from beginning to end. I let it sit for almost 3 months, and again, nothing. Exactly the same linear scent. I don't know if the reformulated version (the clear juice) is different than the old one, but it's a huge no unfortunately.

Smells nothing like the notes to me. I guess it’s Jasmine/tuberose I’m smelling…but if jasmine/tuberose could smell sharp and synthetic. It reminds me of laundry, but not the good cozy warm “cotton clothes just out of the dryer kissed with clean soapy goodness” way. It’s the “whoa you poured way too many white flowers scent beads into the washing machine, are you trying to choke me out” way. To me Alien is a softer, honeyed jasmine that is nothing like the white florals in Rawaa. Mine has been sitting for a month and hasn’t gotten any better. Will probably sell.

Def got all the notes except Orris. I got almonds, coffee, vanilla, and white flowers the most. This sounds weird but to me at first, it smelled citrusy and almost burnt rubbery but that died down after it settled in. Flowers became less prominent and the vanilla took over which was pleasant. This is a warm yet fresh blend so it would be best for spring. I think it could work for day or night. It has depth and is interesting. It lasted for a while but the projection became more intimate throughout wear. It wasn't the worst ever but the weird rubber was a turn-off so I wouldn't purchase the full size.

Sweet and pleasant scent of cocoa, vanilla, almonds, coffee, tonka bean and white flowers. The longevity is great!

I recently got this since I've been into Middle Eastern perfumes. So, keep in mind that they often need time to mature, and so far, I’m not excited about it. It smells like a strippers bag (no hate, I speak from experience), very much a clubbing perfume you’d smell at a Macy’s. It doesn't last long, sadly. Not a bad smell, just not for me.

I blind bought Rawaa after reading so many positive reviews, and my first test on my arm was so disappointing. All I got was a screechy jasmine that made my head hurt like most white florals do. On my skin, it smelled just like Alien and I thought maybe my nose was broken to not be able to smell all the gourmand notes everyone else was talking about. Disappointed, I put it away and told myself that if it still smelled like Alien after a month or so I would sell it on.

Mid July rolled around and I pulled Rawaa out again and popped off the lid. I immediately got a strong, gorgeous waft of scent and I was shocked. This smelled NOTHING like it did when I first bought it! And then I sprayed it on my skin and it was utterly magical. It was a sweet, woody, powdery cloud of almond, chocolate, vanilla, and coffee. I could still smell some jasmine but it was more of a complementary note instead of harsh and dominating. It dried down to a woody almond-vanilla that I couldn't stop sniffing on my wrist.

I tried it again at the end of the month and now the jasmine only seems present at the first spray, then respectfully withdraws itself into gourmand oblivion. It's even more almond-coffee-chocolate now and I am madly in LOVE.

Unfortunately it doesn't last very long on my skin, which is a real shame. It does last ages on clothes, though! And at its low price point I don't mind respraying through the day. I'm already thinking of buying a backup bottle!

I love this compared to bint hooran! This is a beast when you let it macerate! This is stronger than good girl with an oriental take! Loves it no need to layer her! She’s speaks for herself!

When I first bought this I liked the scent, but it was very weak and I could barely smell it after an hour. Also it gave me body odor vibes
3 months later it turned into this beautiful creamy almondy sexy scent that is so addictive
Longevity and sillage also improved, but you still need to overspray for it to be noticeable.
I think the one with the red juice might have actually been stronger.
Happy overall and would repurchase.

The notes in this fragrance deceived me to the point of blind buying it on a whim. Big mistake. Smells nothing like the notes. There's something in this that does not agree with me. I'm giving it a chance though and trying to see if i'll tolerate it by layering it with other things. Might just declutter it if things don't improve.

Can anyone tell which is the close dupe to CH GG? Rawaa or Sonnet?

I got a decant of this perfume, and when I first sprayed it, it smelled like vegetables and plastic. I tried it again later in the day on a different shirt and it did the same thing. I wanted to like it so bad but I just can’t. Not to mention it stains light fabric. After about 15 minutes, the rubbish bag smell fades, but it maintains a slight plasticy scent throughout. I didn’t really get any coffee. On my skin it dried down to a woody vanilla scent by the end of the day, but to get to that stage took too long. It had a really nice floral scent for maybe an hour, then changed again into something else and was giving me a headache. I don’t think this a bad scent, I just don’t think it suits me. Overall it’s not a wowing fragrance, but it has medium projection and could be a nice go to scent for the right person. Personally I’m dissapointed it didn’t work out.

This is a beautiful beast! Sit closed to the skin and last forever. So far 8 hours and still going. Such a great fragrance. Best blind buy so far.

My most komplimente fragrance, everyone loves Rawaa!

Pleasant and sweet smell. I am not familiar with Good Girl, so I cannot comment on the comparison. What I came here to comment is that the juice is RED. I learned this the hard way after spraying on a light-colored top.

This is super sweet. I get no coffee or chocolate at all, just amaretto syrup and fruity candy. I agree that the opening is similar to FANCY in that it is a jaw clincher that makes my teeth hurt.

Review of full bottle that I foolishly bought.

This comparison will surely be way out of left field, but Rawaa smells like Fancy on the opening to me. Tons of caramel throughout and slightly índolic white floral on the drydown. Thankfully, the indolic stage is short-lived. I’d like to re-test Good Girl & Black Opium to compare, but as of now, Rawaa smells nothing like those. Not getting much cacao or coffee, as I would’ve liked, but overall a solid blind buy at a great value. As a die-hard gourmie, I’m really enjoying! Beautiful, heavy ombré bottle that will look great on your dresser. Looks and smells more expensive than the $25 I paid.

Soft, caramelly, powdery sweet (not overly sweet), almondy and with a touch of delicious chocolate and coffee bean. Rawaa, is amazing. It is subtle, non offensive and feminine and utterly delicious. A perfect snuggle scent, or simply a scent for you and people close to you to enjoy life even more with great smelling YOU in it :)

The cacao and jasmine smell is strong, it's sweet but not in a juvenile way. I'd agree it reminds me of CHGG, but without the citrus notes and much more white floral. I mostly get vanilla, cacao, jasmine and tuberose from this. I prefer it to GG actually! It lasts 6+ hours on my skin and has moderate projection. It's a very safe scent to blind buy, I think few people would be offended by this. The price is amazing and the juice doesn't smell cheap or synthetic at all. Not a complex scent, just a very pleasant and girly one! Addictive and so much better than Black Opium and Good Girl.

Beautiful bottle and amazing value scent. On initial spray I get a lot of almond, in a good way, then white floral and vanilla. It's sweet but not sugary. I don't detect any coffee, but I never do. I like it a lot. Some days it seems stronger than others, but overall I'd say the longevity is average.

A soft and light version of l'extase

On my skin, Rawaa is the jasmine forward version of CH GG. Very similar DNA but jasmine carries the fragrance all the way to its dry down. The jasmine in this fragrance is also 'dirty'. With GG, tuberose is the dominant white floral. The base isn't as heavy and it doesn't have the masculine nuances found in GG. This is a 55-60% dupe but they're not the same especially if you prefer the tuberose and heavy dry down in GG. This is within the same family as Black Opium but they're still different. This doesn't have fruits, pepper or orange blossom so the scents are not similar at all. I understand the comparisons to Alien due to the heavy jasmine and it really does smell like it could be an Alien flanker... I don't think this is a great dupe for CH GG. As it dried down, I smell no tonka bean, vanilla or tuberose! Just jasmine and cocoa...

Definitely test before you buy as this is not a safe blind buy if you're looking for an 80-95% dupe for GG.

Edit: This is a jasmine sambac bomb. If you love jasmine sambac and the GG DNA, this is definitely for you.

I'm a blind buy junkie and mostly my blind buys pay off......until they dont. I received this one today and on me it smells like Alien, well, Alien's younger sister and I have never been a fan of Alien. I wanted more of the coffee and chocolate but that didnt happen.
It lasts all day....all DAY! And for me that was nightmarish. Rawaa, like Alien makes the bit between my eyes ache. This isnt the fault of the fragrance, this is down to my blind buy addiction. The bottle is beautiful and the longevity feels like an eternity but that might just be because I'm not feeling this. The price I paid for this was outstanding, £23 and some odd pence and so I dont have that "oh my god I messed up" feeling. I'm using this as a learning curve.
This is a brilliant fragrance if you love Alien - but I dont and thats on me.

Got this perfume today. The bottle is beautiful and heavy, very nicely presented. The scent is very similar to Good Girl but without the screeching citrus (sorry that part of good girl I really do not like) it’s lovely gourmand perfume that’s not too overbearing. I can not imagine a guy wearing it, maybe layered with some oud? It smells more expensive than it is - at least to me. I like it very much. Think it’s more going out perfume although spraying just one or two puffs could be office safe (no way of trying at the moment)

this is everything i wanted black opium to be. warm, coffee, vanilla - but not cloying. kind of cozy, but also extremely sexy??? could definitely smell this at the club on a girls night out

i picked up 100ml for around £20, which is cheap as chips. the silage is moderate on me, but if i sprayed a lot of this or layered it, i think you’d smell it a mile away. the longevity is also INSANE. i work in retail and it lasts on me and my clothes all day, if not longer.

i don’t think it’s *exactly* like CH GG but it’s as close as you’ll get, and i think for the price, you should definitely try it!

It’s that scent you smell when you go to the club and you visit the toilets, somebody there wears this kind of perfume. Maybe it’s GG I smelled all the time? Or opium.. I never had that perfume though.
I do layer it with oud or musk. It smells just heavenly because it has more depth. Try it. I used Arabian musk or oud, it matches better with this Arab.

This was a Christmas present, and I fell in LOVE with it at first sniff. Even though Rawaa is marketed as a women's fragrance here, Notino sells it as a unisex one. Even though it does lean towards the feminine side, I don't really care. It's a beautiful, spicy, floriental cocktail, and the best part is it's got my family's seal of approval. Moreover, every one of them said it smelled like a high end men's perfume. My grams even claimed she'd LOVE this scent on a man. It's got the perfect ratio of depth, spice, and sweetness. This is the first, but deftly not the last unisex juice I'll buy! I'm so happy I got this 😄

I don't own CH Good Girl but I am familiar with it because of a tester I tried when it first came out.. yet 4 years later, I can still recognize this as being a 90% dupe lol. I love it <3 very deep and warm.

Bought it on Amazon UK, very cheap. I was expecting a bit more of arab style fragrance but it is a lovely safe western cozy and fruity perfume. Good value for money during lockdown times! it last about 6/8 hours on my skin.

This is just one more proof that you don't need to sell a kidney to get a great product, even much better than some famous expensive brands.

I checked one foreign website...out UAE or India and with shipping and fees....they would cost almost $80 a piece!!!!

I blind bought Rawaa because of my love for Carolina Herrera - Good Girl and upon a first spray I wasn't too excited. This has very strong cacao and coffee notes (thus the comparison to YSL - Black Opium I guess, which is not my favorite at all), but for me it's missing the floral and a little bit masculine kick that makes Good Girl so special to me.

Finally I came to the conclusion that this smells exactly like Carolina Herrera - Good Girl Lègere, the less floral and sweeter flanker of the original.

Overall it's a pleasant scent with below average sillage and longevity, but I'd say that you really don't need this if you own any of the Good Girls.

Amazing! Incredibly similar to Good Girl Glitter Edition, but long-lasting and with decent sillage.

Can I at the outset say I love this to bits. My review therefore is biased to say the least. To me this is a 70% dupe of Hypnotic Poison,just a bit less sweet.
It opens with a lovely blend of white florals on me. Jasmine, almond and vanilla are the stars of this fragrance though the notes are well blended enough that one cannot pick out each one separately all the time. The cocoa and caramel notes add a lovely sweetness, but cannot tell them apart here.
It lasts 7 hrs plus on me and projects till about an arms length for the first 2 hours. After that it will be a more personal thing, that is only people in close proximity can smell it on you. It does not become a skin scent for the 7 hrs it stays on you. So spray sparingly.
It is versatile, but again based on the intensity at which you wear it. One spray is enough for office and 2 to 3 for a date. It is a date night perfume, very romantic and sensual, but it is still a good girl on a date night kind of fragrance.
The bottle is simply gorgeous, the juice is sweet and sexy and price is reasonable. I am increasingly becoming a fan of Al Haramain. This is not for teens, needs someone a bit mature to carry off tge sweet and white floral combination.

You only get one chance of a first impression and my first impression was WOW...………….. this stuff is as good as I hoped it would be , all of the notes are to my taste and I would recommend this to anyone , male or female …...9/10 go get it

To my nose, this is 100% GG by CH. It's very long-lasting on me and I love it.

I like the smell of this fragance. Cocoa, vanilla, almonds, coffee, tonka bean, White flowers... I LOVE this combinación. It is a very sweet perfume but not intrusive at all.

Longevity: 10

I spray the perfume at morning before leaving home and when i come back i can still feel It on my skin. It lasts more than 10 hours on my skin, what is incredible because my skin os not so good to support fragances. On clothes can feel the smell for days, but very very soft.

Sillage: 9

When i wear It i think It doesnt project, but all the Times i have done It i have recived lot of compliments. What is true id that this os not an invasive perfume, people can feel the área ir leaves around you without feeling suffocated.

Price/quality: 10

I have bought It for 18€/100ml what is a very good price for this quality fragance.

I find It a very versatile perfume. I have bought It as a unisex perfume (although here is signes as a feminine one) and i am sure It is. Thats true that the smells dont have genre, but this one can be more by anybody without feeling weird. It is true as well that this fragance is, perhaps, a little bit more info the feminine side, so if yoy are a Guy try It before buying. I wear It during the day and ay night without preferencia and un any season of the year

So many notes similar to Good Girl, but without that irritating (to me) lemon note! Would love to get my nose on this one to test that theory out, but have no idea where this fragrance house is even sold. Guess I'll Google it and find out...

Glad to see this has been added (thanks admin), I would love some feedback on this one as I'm thinking of getting it, by the way I believe it is being marketed as a unisex scent.
