In a sunny, cold and dry day like today, it was necessary to use an oriental perfume, preferably hot, humid and sweet. The choice fell on yet another Arabian perfume, in this case an Al Haramain. Urbanist Privé is a frankly interesting perfume and of a quality well above average. The price is inversely proportional to the quality, as this perfume can be bought for around 20 Euros.
The fragrance gives an impression of warmth and comfort associated with a certain lightness. The airy smoke of light oud, the warm lingering of sandalwood and hazelnut, the wrapping of moist tobacco and the sweetness of honey and vanilla make an ideal combination for a dry winter day that pushes people into a fireplace. The global aroma is quite consensual, suitable for a wide audience and, as it is not a blunt fragrance, it does not hurt the sensitivity of oriental perfumes detractors.
I must mention that it is an excellent choice for sandalwood lovers... it is the perfume strongest note, and it is of excellent quality.
Although it doesn't seem like an attempt to clone, Urbanist Privé is really VERY similar to Spicebomb, although it is less intrusive. Spicebomb does not have sandalwood, but its strong cinnamon note with leather and moist tobacco, projects a woody accord similar to sandalwood. Urbanist Privé does not have cinnamon, but the combination of hazelnut and sandalwood notes, moist cigar tobacco and a touch of oud, delivers a strong impression of cinnamon and completely mimicking Spicebomb. Aromatically the two perfumes are very close. Unfortunately, I prefer the Spicebomb intrusiveness, but of course, for a price.
Spicebomb being a fragrance reasonably far removed from Noir Exquis, this Al Haramain invokes the dark ebony tonic of this L'Artisan, perhaps due to the impression left by the notes of tobacco with sandalwood, and a dark hint of oud.
Although sober, the presentation is poor for those who like beautiful bottles. This is yet another oriental marketing disaster. It looks like an Axe deodorant bottle.
The performance is sufficient, although below normal for this type of spicy and woody oriental perfume. Longevity lies between 6 and 7 hours with three sprays. The sillage is positioned at approximately 1 meter with an acceptable projection during the first hour and a half.
Naturally, I do recommend it!

Really not a fan of this, the hazelnut is more like the bitter and dry skin rather than a rich, sweet and creamy note. The tobacco is more of an ashy cigarette tobacco, than a nice tobacco leaf. Weird.

Oh dear...to my nose this is nothing like spicebomb, nowhere near as good or complex. This opens promisingly but soon it just becomes a vanilla woody scent with a slight sweetness. It reminds me if anything of zadig & voltair for him just rock..4/10

To my nose Urbanist prive silver isn't alike Spicebomb, however it's true that it smells sweet and spicy, but in oriental way, I can detect oud, honey and vanilla. Sillage is rather close to skin unfortunately, lasting is moderate.

I was expecting something different when I saw it had toffee/caramel and hazelnut notes in it. I thought this could be something like Guerlain L'homme Ideal or at least something very sweet. So I decided to buy it out of curiousity and was initially dissapointed that it smelled like Spicebomb. That is obviously not a bad thing and only the top of the pyramid as this fragrance dries down it starts to remind more and more of Le Male Essence de Parfum, just less sweet. It is very comforting, warm and sweet with some tobacco. All in all a very affordable combination of Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb & JPG Le Male Essence de Parfum. Good option if you are looking for a fall fragrance and don't own either of those mentioned above. If you're interested in those two but have a tight budget, this will save you the money. It is not as good as either of them alone but as a combination of those two with the price tag of 20 euros it is something to consider. For me, as I own Le Male Essence de Parfum this unluckily did not bring anything new on the table but on the other hand I don't need to buy Spicebomb anymore.

It is not a performance monster but I can smell it everytime I wave my arm and can detect it from arms length. It is not something I would wear at office environment, or at least would not spray a lot. It is more for going out for a walk or something to make you feel warm while being cozy at your house in a fall/winter time. I use it as an evening scent and so far it has lasted from 6pm to the time I go to bed so that should be enough.

I'm getting a strong caraway note on opening that i'm guessing is supposed to be the hazelnut. I think the tobacco and hazelnut are blending to give this scent and it is just putting me off. It improves on dry down but is still there as well. Sad i'd hoped to like this

The first Al Haramain I bought, Urbanist Prive Silver is oddly at the intersection of a few general categories in my opinion---fresh, spicy, metallic, and sweet.

I can barely detect the usual standout notes of tobacco and oud. Rather, I get mainly a mix of honey and sandalwood with a vaguely spicy accord that I cannot accurately define, and I suspect it's the remainder that accounts for the metallic background. There's also a certain muskiness to it. I've considered that I've simply failed to recognize the listed hazelnut note, as this is surely a wildcard that could provide the sweetness and slight spiciness, but it's just too hard to say.

In summary, it's sweet from honey, calmly woody due to sandalwood, and the rest of it is a little spicy, musky, and metallic. Bizarre but provocative and versatile, probably year-round usable.

Performance is above average and it's a deal not to be beaten, at $23 for 100ml on BeautySpin. A worthy blind buy if you're in the mood for something slightly odd.
