I ve seen Sarah Mayes review of this one in youtube too so i ordered one from fragrance. com....so excited waited for 10 days but i got ripped off..the one i got today is just a travel spray w/ fragrance.com embossed in it and a sticker "armaf niche red ruby"woman and some numbers...when i tried to spray it, it smells like BBW DARK KISS...i couldnt return it cause i live in tokyo and to ship the item back would cost me more... WHAT A SHAME. ... i need some help, can anyone please tell me if jomashop is okey? i really want to try some latafa & armaf products.

Its appealing and rounded composition is made of silky, absorbing substance and has a type of sweetness that hypnotises and attracts rather than annoys. I look amazing with staying power. It is mellow and aromatic, perfect for a night out on a special occasion. Red Ruby's vanilla is far stronger, creamier, and more sensuous. It smells great. Projection lasts on my skin for at least 8 hours and more than 6 hours. Adore it

The combination of notes in this perfume just didn't come together well enough in this fragrance. They don't mesh well and it's not creating any type of masterpiece or anything. It's like a bunch of notes were just thrown together and they don't play well with each other. The dry down is just ok. Thankfully I bought a decant so I don't feel too cheated. I will have to layer it with something else or throw it out.

Nice fruity & sweet perfume. Bought it blindly, it's not my cup of tea. I am offering it for sale. Preferably in EU :)

Interresting. I'm not sure I'm getting what everyone else is getting. No flowers, very little of the citrus scents. Instead a bunch of red berries and creamy vanilla. The slight sourness of the red berries and the sweetness of the vanilla very nicely balanced, like a sweet warm berry vanilla paj. And the name Red Ruby seems so fitting.

I had D&G The One for many years and I loved it, eventually I got tired of it and tried the rose version which did not last at all compared to the original. This one reminds me of it but it´s not 100%similar in that the jasmine is less prominent, perhaps replaced by orange blossom absolute, once again I think the notes and the olfactive pyramid is all wrong (like on most Armaf fragrances on here) at least I detect absolutely no tuberose, and definitely no litchi nor musk. What I detect instead is juicy mandarin in the opening, or rather clementine/orange, and some orange blossom in the middle...the base is vanilla, possibly tonka and some amber...not suitable for the warmer months, perhaps for evenings though, good in fall/winter, very much everyday appropriate, good solid performance, not a monster but better than average designer. Cute bottle, packaging and overall I recommend all of the Niche line up. Really a splurge for the price!

What can I say? This is so lovely and sensual and I love smelling this, I will keep buying it for as long as it is available 8/10 for me.

I made this purchase based on Sarah Mayes positive review of Ruby Red and I was so happy and surprised with what I got. It was my first Armaf purchase so I was apprehensive. I don't have the D&G fragrance that it is said to dupe, but I have Marc Jacobs Decadence and I find it extremely similar. This may not shed a very good light, but I found this scent jammy and fruity to the point that I could almost taste Swedish Fish, haha. Despite that odd reference, I've really enjoyed this surprising find!

98% similar with DG The One in terms of notes. The only huge difference is the longevity. The One last for hours and hours, Red Ruby stays on my skin no longer than 2. Another difference is that the vanilla in Red Ruby is much more intense, making it more sensual, much creamier...
A nice clone of DG The One, if you are a fan, go for it, you might have more luck with it than I did.

just adding another line now that I had the chance to test this side by side with D&G The One Collector... they are literally hard to tell apart, would say initially 95% the same, later on tho, I notice a bit of differene with regards to the drydown. while Red Ruby maintains the same fruity vibe and does not morph much, the D&G looses some of it's fruityness and turns a bit drier and powdery. Guess it's a matter of preference, I think Red Ruby is more pleasant on the drydown.

Not what I was expecting at all. From the notes, I thought this would be a sweet, citrusy, juicy, litchi explosion grounded with a bit of sandalwood. Been wearing for a couple hours and all I get is peppery, powdery musk. It's evocative of the backstage of a beauty pageant. Like I'm in a soft cloud of synthetic-sweet, biting hairspray and piles upon piles of cosmetics. I know many people love that sort of scent (modern take on l'Heure bleue, maybe?). I'm not sure whether it's for me though.

Another my fave scent from sterling perfumes... a trully beauty. Nice velvet container with elegant bottle. Very beautiful so that you want to stare at this gorgeous all the time. The juice were perfect.. a fruity floral sweet scents. It represent the "red ruby" name. Elegant, mature, beauty, classy, feminine and determine. I m not good with notes, all i can tell is, it is delicious scent. It is linger for hours... i dont care about sillage... i want to enjoy the scent all for my self.. projection is more than 6 hours.. and last on my skin up to 8 hours at least. From all 4 women collection of armaf niche, red ruby is the winner...

adrienn99

hmmm...juicy and delicious. Goes beyond the fruit salad association though, it has got some depth to it.
Although it is a relatively light-hearted, generic and fun scent in my book, it does not come across as immature.
I do not find it ground-breaking or edgy in any sense, however, it does topple many designer scents out there. Red Ruby somehow is more natural smelling; sillage and longevity is unbeatable and if you look at price/value, well, sends all designers to shame. I can't possibly comment on similarity with the D&G most people compare this to but I think it is safe to assume Red Ruby is bigger sillage and lasts longer.
I've got 4 bottles of Armaf, they all gorgeous, looks like they can't do anything wrong here.

This smells exactly like Dolce and Gabbana The One, in the red bottle. I love that fragrance but I already have it which makes Red Ruby kind of redundant in my collection. If anyone wants to swap this with me PM me.

Would anyone consider Red Ruby as unisex? - 35 male :)

Yummy lychee, with that jammy-rosy lipstick touch from this tropical fruit. I own and love Club de Nuit Intense for women of Armaf and this is second fragrance from this popular house. Note-wise I would have never imagined I can fall for it, but it is attractive and round composition, has silky, absorbing material, type of sweetness, that not irritates, but hypnotises and draws attention. Lasting power is great on me, I smell it for days on clothes, even sniffing from the bottle or holding it in hands, the smell sort of "sticks" to the skin. It is aromatic and mellow, great for night out on holidays, for festive mood, I think it is slightly inappropriate to wear in office though, maybe on suggestive side a bit)

Thunderkatwoah

I have now worn this multiple times and I just keep falling in love. The sillage on it is rather close but it does seem to hold onto my clothes for quite some time. Today I have done a bit of experimenting with layering with this one and boy oh boy, I'm excited to announce this works well with sweetening up my burberry body.
