Burberry Her by Burberry is a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance for women. Burberry Her was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian. Top notes are Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, Sour Cherry, Black Currant, Mandarin Orange and Lemon; middle notes are Violet and Jasmine; base notes are Musk, Vanilla, Cashmeran, Woody Notes, Amber, Oakmoss and Patchouli.

Burberry Her, a new pillar fragrance for the house, comes out in October 2018 and is the first one whose packaging is marked with the new logo.

Burberry Her is designed to capture the youthful spirit of the city of London, the creative and eclectic metropolis; a spirit that is lively, adventurous and brave. It is made for those women who feel Londoners at heart. The composition is signed by Francis Kurkdjian as his interpretation of a floral-fruity theme with gourmand undertones. Crushed berry fruit from the top is combined with middle notes of violet and jasmine, based on woods and amber.

"Her Eau de Parfum by Burberry is unique because it is a memorable signature. To achieve that, you need a strong accord, an olfactory story that translates your vision.  The combination of these sunburst berries and British spirit blended with the ambery musky accord brings this very unique signature. You can immediately recognize when someone is wearing it. It is a signature scent." - Francis Kurkdjian

The face of perfume is model Cara Delavigne, representing her home city. Burberry Her is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I saw a video in which a guy jokingly describes women based on the perfume they choose to wear. For this one, he said the woman who wears this is one liked by everyone, she's just so nice all the time.

A few days later, my best friend, who is a sweet angel, said she smelled this in store and completely fell in love with it (I never told her about the video).

I obviously had to go out and test it for myself... lo' and behold, YES, this is the perfume a perfect, pure, angelic, cinnamon roll type of girl would wear!!!

It smells like fluffy dessert with berries on it, or like scented lotion labeled "body yogurt". Very appetizing and sweet but not in an overly gourmand way.

I would wear this too but I am too evil for it unfortunately.

daisypolo

Strawberry yogurt / strawberry chewits / strawberries and cream. Very much a synthetic strawberry scent, but not in a harsh way. Very soft, almost like marshmallows, and warm. Fairly generic, but on the gentler side. Has pretty good sillage - at least 2 hours. Would make a great gift for a tween / teenage girl if she's into all things pretty and pink.

jdluvz

Burberry Her EDP to my nose smells like a delicious crunchy candied strawberry fruit snack, a milkshake, icecream, and cake. Sweet but not too sweet.

Main accords are on point as I get the fruity, sweet, vanillary, powdery, musky, and a hint of woody notes. Fresh and smooth scent that doesn't irritate my nose and throat. No headache too.

Projection and longevity are moderate. Six sprays on my shirt lasts for 4 hours. The longevity really depends on my environment as I'd be smelling like food when in the kitchen or restaurant, so definitely reapplication is needed. Even sprayed before bed, 8 hours later the scent is still on my clothes. A bit faint but woke up still smelling good.

I love Burberry Her EDP. And when I want a more fruity floral scent, I layer with Burberry Her Blossom.

evepucci

Perfect for summer and spring. Light and feminine. Smells like strawberries and cream.

Richa30

Fragrances are relative, glad I didn’t blind buy this. To me it smells like strawberry flavored cough syrup or strawberry milk that has gone sour. Hard pass.

Macleay

If you want the full strawberry shortcake doll effect wear Her or Her Elixir in tandem with the Welcos Kwailnara strawberry milk body wash and lotion. Scrumptious 🍓

PRADALHOMMEINTENSEGOAT

synthetic strawberry cherry candy, this is meant for kids lol

RethaMash___

So sweet. Sticky, powdered candy-like, tooth ache inducing sweet. It lasts forever and keeps getting sweeter.

bonniherself

I'm not a huge fan of sweet fragrances. Something about my chemistry tends to make them go extra sweet and I end up smelling like a lolly shop. I'm always very cautious about any gourmand fragrance that has a lot of sweet fruity notes in it. That said, this is actually very nice on me. It helps that I do love the scent of strawberries, but this is rather nicely balanced, if rather synthetic (I don't necessarily mind the "synthetic" quality, though). I wish it was a little stronger on the base, a little woodier, maybe? But the oakmoss and patchouli are extremely pleasant, so I guess I can't complain too much. I'm honestly surprised by how much I like this perfume. On paper, it's the opposite of what I normally wear and like.

ARainyDayInMay

Lovely strawberry note in the beginning!

I might be tired of all the BR540 clones/dupes/inspirations, but I wouldn't repurchase it after it's finished.

Lasting power is pretty crazy, and it does the same as BR540, appearing and disappearing at will.

It's crowd pleasing, not particularly sweet, highly synthetic, but good for warm weather. Doubt it actually has lasting power in the winter though.

Norie

I used to adore this fragrance but now I find it fleeting and forgettable. Nothing stands out to me with this fragrance and it is very light - almost body spray light. Synthetic as can be expected. Maybe the weather needs to be warmer for me to fully appreciate this. I'll try again when it's hotter and update if anything changes.

ViennaRose

Beautiful, beautiful opening. Like walking through a meadow filled with sunrays and tiny strawberry bushes, an ice cream cone in hand. The dry down, however, smells like boy. Polar opposite of the opening notes. I open the bottle to smell the head notes. Feel pure happiness. Put the cap back on, then reach for a different perfume.

nevertheless123

Weird that nobody else has said this, but to me this is super similar to Black Opium. I get very strong chocolate and raspberry notes. It's delicious! I like both.

sandraaalindgren

This is definitely a fruity fragrance more than a sweet one. You can really smell the strawberry and it’s so cute! There is a sourness to it and even though I love it I kind of wish it was a little bit sweeter. But I am so excited to wear this on a warm summer day! I don’t think this is similar to Cloud but it’s still amazing!
EDIT:
I’ve started to pair Her with Pure XS and it works so well! Pure XS brings the sweetness that Her lack and Her brings a freshness into Pure XS

dalialoveperfume

I wish the sweetness of the top and middle notes stood longer😭 I dont LOVE the woody final notes

selinsmells

i dont have it, my friend who sits next to me in class does and i can smell her all day long, this is a pure sweet light feminine scent

binkyluvr

an absolute bomb of juicy & sour fruits! strawberry & cherry jump out at me the most. reminds me of a deliciously made fruit smoothie. perfect amount of sweet & sour!

boringstella

on my skin, i get overly sweet, cloying, screechy florals. hard pass. unfortunately it lasts forever, i sampled it at sephora and it won't come off my damn wrist no matter what i try

Bea84

Dry down smells like cat pee on me 😞
Similar smell (pre cat pee) to Cheroisa 68
Kind of a plastic strawberry

paupadua

A lot of notes in there, but it turns to be a sweet, gentle, feminine fragrance. An everyday scent that I love! One of my favorites among the Burberry line.

cathy20145

On my skin, the opening smells like strawberry candy (not the artificial type). I quite like it and that convinced me to buy the full bottle. Then in the middle it mingles with the violet and jasmine, it’s subtle and pleasant. The dry down: I wish the “vanilla” was more prominent on my skin, but the musk and patchouli stands out way more. I don’t really like the dry down. I’ll keep using this perfume just for the strawberry opening. I’ve heard other people say Burberry Her Elixir is more creamy and there’s more vanilla, so that’s definitely on my wish list!

Craberscrab

Sickeningly sweet at the front but once it dries down it smells quite pleasant.
The journey to the dry down was not worth it.

marialena888m

This is a real beauty in cool air. I love to wear it on slightly chilly spring mornings. It smells like hope and innocent beginnings. I wish it had caramel and rose in it, then it would be like a modernized Miss Dior Cherie 2005, a strawberry masterpiece that I still pine for to this day. Caution: when temperatures start to warm, it begins to lose its magic and smells like strawberry air-freshener (especially if oversprayed). It’s actually long lasting, but there are days when I get anosmic to the drydown and can barely smell it after 2-3 hours.

Kqxede

It’s a good everyday fragrance.its sweet, innocent and fruity but to me it kinda smells like milk?im not sure maybe i got tired of it. But the fragrance itself is okay

Murphs_law

I LOVE the dry down of Burberry Her. I can smell it on my hoodie for days and it has pretty good sillage for the first hour or two. My only problem is that it smells like plastic fruit while the sillage is good. After that first part wears off, it’s great! I get red fruit, violet, some musk and a light vanilla. Thankfully, for me, the best parts last the longest. I probably won’t spend the money for a full bottle, but I’ll happily wear what I have now until it’s gone.

forumgames

I prefer the OG to the Elixir, in the opening it's very fruity, almost juicy and sweet. I love the violet here and I think that is a necessary note in Burberry Her, it perfectly sustains and blends in with the other notes. Definitely a +1
The sillage and lasting power of the OG are weaker than the Elixir, with medium-weak sillage.
The drydown leans towards the "candy sweet' type of sweetness.
It reminds me of red fruits candies.

At first I preferred the Elixir, but time made the OG much much better than the Elixir.
The fragrance overall has gotten much much better by time, it blended more and for the better. Sillage and lasting power got better

Neon.like

This gave me a terrible headache at first spray! It's like BR540 but substantially sweeter and fruitier, which is absolutely disgusting to me. Artificial cotton candy scent that was screeching and cloying on my skin. It was also hard to wash off so I guess at least it has longevity. Those super sweet berry scents aren't usually my thing anyways but I had grabbed the sample hoping the patchouli note would stand out more.

vildeska

My favourite «Her» version. I found the Elixir a bit tame and the Intense a bit heavy. The EDP is sparkly, fun, fresh and fruity, a top 10 for me!

oxychan

smells so much better than the elixir version oml 😻

Ayshin

Strawberry smoothie in a bottle. This reminds me of kids's shampoo haha. Dried down to a creamy, berry scent. Only last 2 hours on me tho. I love it, but i don't recommend it for people who prefer more mature scent.

TheCandyperfumegirl

I love Burberry Her EDP!
It’s a beautiful Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance. It’s perfect for any occasion and has a lovely feminine scent. It’s like a delicious dessert that you can wear.

Burberry Her EDP smells absolutely amazing! It has a delightful blend of fruity and floral notes, with a powdery vibe. It’s fresh, vibrant, and has a hint of sweetness. The combination of strawberry and vanilla in Burberry Her EDP creates a scent that is reminiscent of a delicious vanilla strawberry milkshake. It has that creamy sweetness and fruity freshness that makes it absolutely mouthwatering. It’s like indulging in a delightful treat for your senses. You’ll love how it captures the essence of a scrumptious milkshake in a bottle!

The opening of Burberry Her EDP is simply captivating! It starts with a burst of juicy berries that instantly grabs your attention. It’s like a burst of energy and excitement that sets the tone for the fragrance. The floral notes add a touch of elegance and femininity to the fragrance. The violet brings a delicate and powdery aroma, while the jasmine adds a beautiful, sweet floral scent. Together, they create a captivating heart that enhances the overall beauty of the fragrance. The base notes together create a warm and sensual foundation for the fragrance. The musk adds a touch of sensuality, while the vanilla brings a creamy and comforting sweetness. The woody notes, amber, oakmoss, and patchouli add depth and richness, giving the fragrance a sophisticated and alluring character. But the main player of the fragrance is the vanilla and the berries to be more precise the strawberry along with the cozy comforting musk. Together they create a cozy embrace that lingers on your skin, leaving a captivating trail wherever you go. People will definitely enjoy the beautiful scent it leaves behind!

Its fruity and refreshing notes, like strawberry and other juicy berries, make it a great choice for using all year round. The fragrance has a cozy and uplifting quality that pairs well with any climate. It’s not sticky sweet so I think those who enjoy berry-vanilla gourmands will enjoy it all year round.

Longevity is around 10+ hours on clothes. It can last for a decent amount of time on the skin and creates a beautiful scent bubble around the wearer. The fragrance has a well-balanced composition of notes, which contributes to its longevity. However, it’s important to keep in mind that longevity can vary depending on factors such as skin chemistry and individual preferences. Overall, you can expect Burberry Her EDP to last for a good portion of the day, allowing you to enjoy its beautiful scent for hours.

Some people compare Burberry Her EDP with MFK Baccarat Rouge 540, but I’m sorry, I don’t feel they are similar. They are two different fragrances with their own unique compositions and characteristics. If you’re interested in comparing the two scents, I recommend trying them out for yourself and experiencing their individual aromas. Fragrance preferences can be subjective, so what one person may find similar, another person may perceive differently. It’s always best to trust your own nose and personal preference when it comes to choosing a fragrance.

B4bynel

A pretty light fruity fragrance, I don’t really get the strawberry more like a bowl of mixed fruits. Perfect everyday scent.

Iveta IBM

There are two types of viral fragrances that I don't like: the "It's not for me, but I can sorta see why people like this" kind and the "Why would anyone want to smell like this?!" kind. Guess where this one falls.
This is sharp, synthetic and juvenile and it screams "cheap" even though it isn't.
Hard pass.

AquaJima

Strawberry elixir. This makes me think of the film Lolita. You have Dolores at the local pharmacy and she just ordered one of those milkshakes that mix fresh cut berries, vanilla ice cream and even some Coca Cola. She then goes home and paints her nails red while bathing in the evening’s sunlight.

Approach only if you like sweet / creamy perfumes. It’s pink and pretty, so if that is your vibe, you might really love this :)

vanillabinch99

Both the scent and package remind me of a strawberry sundae elfbar (which I love).

slmbrkty

Her is a lighter fruity floral that starts out with a parade of juicy - strawberry and raspberry are prominent, with citrus notes trailing close behind. Over time, the jasmine and violet notes develop nicely and sit on top of a soft blanket of musk. It's a good scent. I feel feminine, flirty, and happy when I wear it. I'm not head over heels for Her, but she is someone I would call from time to time to catch up over a cup of coffee. Longevity is poor on my skin, only lasting about 2 hours. Sillage is moderate, but mostly sits close to the body. There is a faint trail of spring goodness when passing by, but quickly fades. I would recommend, however, there are other florals out there that are just as nice for a lower price point.

Septentriones Lilium

Delicious, sophisticated strawberry. I am transported back to the bowls of hand-picked wild strawberries with cream I used to love as a child. Nothing compares. I am in love with the divine, gorgeous notes that last for at least 4-5 hours on me. This would be one of my all time favourites if the dry down had less vanilla and sugar. Unlike some, I do not get a synthetic vibe at all. This is one of the most remarkable fragrances I have ever tried.

FlowerSeeker

Strawberry, orange, and sour cherry. Very sweet and fruity. A woody cashmere dry down while the fruit remains. It’s similar to that fruit punch smell in almost everything at Bath & Body Works. Gives me a little bit of nausea. But if you like super fruity perfumes, you should give this a try.

blondie2004

my very first real perfume!! I l o v e the scent! Incredibly sweet but also kinda berry-like (raspberry/ strawberry). it lasts so long, like I can smell it on my wrist 10 hours later. I love the scent the most when I've worn the perfume the day before and spritzed it on the back of my neck and I brush my hair and get a whiff of the day old sweet scent from my hair. i have been told that it makes me smell masculine though so be aware of that lol (I do kind of understand what my friend who said that meant, but I to me it does not smell masculine). I wish I hadn't "saved" it up for the first two years or so because after a year or two it started to smell a little "glue-like"... doesn't transfer on the skin but in the bottle.

pynchbookclub

This is a great strawberry scent with that light and airy Cloud/540 DNA. But it is so popular nowadays that you feel like you smell it everywhere. And while it is sometimes pleasant, sometimes it's very headache inducing.

vera.rnova

To me it smells fresh and fruity at the start then dries down to an ambery vanilla. Doesn't smell like cloud imo. Very beautiful, girly scent

lavieenrose1987

My first thought is Lotso the Hugging Bear who smells like strawberries, but make it perfume. I get images of a young lady in a frilly dress having a tea party in a strawberry garden with her girlfriends. While it is a somewhat artificial strawberry fragrance, it isn’t abrasive at all and makes me nostalgic for childhood toys and candy that had this kind of vibe.

AuraSky

Very sophisticated perfume. Top notes are fruity, berry. But after an hour or so it turns in such a beautiful and rich amber. It,s really have similarities to BR540 in the base. Perfume for those who live amber.

jadepo21

I like this quite a bit - a cross between Cloud and BR540 in that it shares some of the BR540 DNA but has a sweeter twist. The fruit in this also sets it apart though, making it unique. I do wish I got more longevity out of it, but it's a sophisticated and easy wear.

Shreya242

this fragrance is very deep, you will smell different notes through out the day, sometime sweet and sometimes sour, but it is not at all long lasting tho, within 15-20 minutes its gone, you need to reapply it. dont blind buy it. always test it on your skin

po3tik1

I'm a guy. I started buying fragrances marketed for women for their less exaggerated woody and leathery base.

This was my 3rd women's fragrances, purchased alongside Givenchy Irresistible.
I got this as a sorta blind buy, via a reddit recommendation. In the store I smelled it and was satisfied. Immediately at home I was conflicted. I mean back and forth. Ultimately, it's too dark-sweet. It almost smells forced or fabricated. Like artificial or diet, sugar-substitute version. It's got that "make it taste better" kid's cough syrup kind of synthetic sweetness.

Needless to say, it's been sitting. I'd much prefer the more tolerable Givenchy fragrance I bought. Which smells similar, in the sense of Dark-Sweet, but actually smells like the notes come from the notes it claims.

Dexter G

Burberry Her simply cheers me up! This is a delightful wee number which is easy to wear and very pleasing to the nose. Fruity, light and delicious. Needs reapplication after a couple of hours...but still joyful.

genevieves

@Melody Valentine - I highly doubt Ariana asked for Baccarat Rouge. Cloud was released before it even went viral.

Scentedalterego

On my skin this smells like the strawberry toothpaste I had as a kid in the 90ies. I can’t image it’s supposed to be like that. Not a safe blind buy, and I am gonna pass on this line. I much prefer goddess, that one smells great on me.

Sumell

To my nose, this is an extremely synthetic strawberry with a sharp, almost plastic note. There’s also a lingering powdery effect that leans very old-lady to me. There isn’t much pleasant about the initial spray or the dry down. I’m a fan of MFK, and I love sweet profiles but this was a massive disappointment for me.

ayarossx

Everyone is saying its synthetic strawberries but one day I was picking actual strawberries and smelled them and the smell was just like this synthetic note everyone is talking about so idk I really like this perfume it is quite playful and girly. Its for that mood.

aliyahrose

every amazing thing about this perfume is right. to my nose it is sweet and soft, truly amazing and not overwhelming in the slightest

Ghost13

This is a very pleasant and sweet strawberry perfume. It is however quite common as I have smelled it out in public a few times. I used to own a bottle of this before I felt it suited my mother better. Overall I think this is a really nice, beginner fragrance and it’s good to have as a signature.

london.alaine

ohhhh nooo

ok i just literally put this on 10 minutes ago but… i no likey 😞

it seriously smells like a grandma strawberry is boozed up :( i don’t see how this is a young “high school scent” at all. after it warmed up for a few minutes the grandma notes seem to have died off but im left with like such a fake CLOYING strawberry smell…im also getting heavy BR 540 vibes and UNPOPULAR OPINION but i freaking HATE that scent DNA ☹️guys idk i wanted to like this but ummmmm i dont- ill update if i change my mind

vicerimus

A daytime version of MFK Baccarat Rouge with a side of a strawberry milkshake. I was in the middle of a big strawberry phase when this launched and I was already a fan of Baccarat Rouge, so this scent was an instant hit for me. Years later, maybe I am not crazy obsessed with it anymore but I still love it and it is one of my go-tos when I don't know what to wear.

Thefragrancefox

I was really hoping I would like this perfume due to all the hype around it but to me all it smelled was synthetic strawberries (and not in the good way). It smelled like strawberry strepsils (a swedish brand of medicine for sore throats). The medicine in itself smells lovely, but in a perfume? Not so much. This perfume might work for others or work better layered with vanilla but this one is a no from me. I love Burberry Goddess though.

(I smelt it in store, on paper. It might smell different on skin)

SaraZigova

It's sooo sweet

webblt

the younger sister of valentino donna born in roma... like a gentle strawberry scent sprayed into a basket of fresh laundry. amazing day scent for someone in their early 20s like me. is obviously basic but really creamy and complex at the same time..... need to get a full bottle. quite girly. sometimes get sick of it bc in hotter weather it can feel quite heavy. not a sexy scent at all--it's comforting and warm.

IAthirah

This just smells very synthetic to me, and headache-inducing so I don't get the hype. The flankers Blossom and London Dream smell so much better as I prefer floral scents with peony notes. Each to their own!

sugarfawn

oh this one is so good. its like a bowl of berries with whipped cream on the side and powdered sugar on top. the opening is great but the dry down is even better. i think this one might just be my favorite perfume in the world but i also haven't tried enough to really make that decision yet. its so good that i considered writing a bad review on purpose so ppl don't buy it LOL

deermusk

got a sample of this and tried it on myself a couple of times to make a sound judgement. burberry her, for me, has a strongly sweet fruit scent at first, but it's dry down comes to be a warm fruity vanilla. definitely too much fruit for my taste, but if it was on someone who has the personality for it i'd think it'd be a relaxing and comforting scent.

caramelemi

This smelled like strawberries with sugar on top🤤🤤 delicious

esrin13

She's very fruity and girly if that makes sense. Very sweet scent its a spring type of perfume, I liked it when I had it but it didn't fit my vibe. Got compliments when i wore it.

Melody Valentine

I'm way late to trying this. This, Cloud Pink and Coach Wild Rose all smell quite similar. All have that fruity opening that dries down to the woody, mossy, ambroxan base with the cotton candy scent that everyone associates with Baccarat Rouge. This is my favourite out of the above mentioned. I absolutely love it but I love perfumes with this DNA so if you don't then you'll likely not like this either. I didn't think it was anything like Baccarat Extrait at first, I couldn't see that comparison at all but I can now. Just a fruitier version. That has bitter almond which smells like cherry and this has actual sour cherry. People who say they're nothing alike are either lying or nose blind coz there absolutely is similarities between Cloud, Baccarat and all the above mentioned perfumes and intentionally so. It's no coincidence that FK made this and both Baccarat Rouges and I suspect Ariana Grande asked for Cloud to smell like Baccarat. They're not identical by any means but they all share the same DNA. This reminds me of something else that I can't place too. The oakmoss really reminds me of something, the longer I've had it on the more it's coming out. It's possibly Miss Dior with the patchouli starting to come through. Actually, it's got a lot of the same base and mid notes (oakmoss, amber, patchouli, woods (that has vetiver and sandalwood )plus jasmine and orris whereas this has violet) as Miss Dior Originale which is a totally different perfume altogether and very vintage but i can smell the similarities buried under all the syrupy fruits. I can see myself getting totally addicted to this. It's less linear than Baccarat and smells quite different from when I first sprayed it on me about an hour ago.

*Yeah, I absolutely love this. I've got Rave Now Women by Lattafa coming today which is supposed to be somewhere in-between this and the elixir version so I hope it is. If it's even slightly similar though I'll probably love it.

peacedeli

Oh gosh, this is pretty gross. Tested twice, just to make sure (the bottle is just so pretty), but nope. The patchouli, oakmoss + huge fruit mishmash is headache inducing, though not in the conventional sickly sweet way. The headache/nausea factor for me is the mix of jumbled berry notes (if it were just one clear fruity note perhaps it'd be better) with slightly bitter herby ones. Bleugh. 2/10.

perfumepearl

Sweet, light and girly. I tested it today and I think it's worth the hype. I hate Cheirosa 68, luckily they don't smell the same, at least to me. I get a lot of fruitiness and I don't find this synthetic. Very nice, signature scent worthy.

celi

I tested this on paper strips. It smells like fragrance version of big babol strawberry cream! Totally not my cup of tea and a bit synthetic but honestly the drydown is very smooth,"cute" and kind of pleasant . I would not mind having to smell this on someone else (as opposed to many other popular gourmands I really dislike).

ursula368

Unfortunately oakmouss is owerpowering to me...

vanirai

this used to be my favourite perfume, but i recently moved and forgot about this in one of my boxes. i found it the other day and it smells like nothing now, maybe a little bit waxy and musty. i’m not sure how this happened, has anybody else had similar experiences? i got it from sephora so it couldn’t have been a knockoff.
but before it went bad, it was a really nice, girly scent. i don’t usually like berry scents but this was sooo good. it definitely pulls more strawberry than vanilla. it’s not a photorealistic strawberry imo, it definitely smells a bit perfumey but not too much if that makes sense?

michalamellsgood

This is so sickly sweet and strong that a lady standing 1 meter away from asked me what I was wearing after 1 (!) spray I sampled and immediately said it's way too sweet and turned on the AC. Couldn't get it off me for the rest of the say and gave me a migrane. There is nothing complex here, just syrupy, sickly sweetness. And it is in now way similiar to BR. Hard pass.

anamawsity

Kinda disappointed by this. I’m not a fan of floral-heavy scents and when I first smelled this in store, I was really excited to try it because it was super sweet. Unfortunately, as soon as it touched my skin, I could only smell florals and musk and it stayed that way for the 6-7 hours that it lingered. Was it an awful smell? No, but it wasn’t what I had hoped for and it’s definitely not a perfume I’ll ever use again.
Nearly identical to some other Baccarat Rouge dupes like Ariana’s Cloud and Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa ‘68.

K8lo

Synthetic strawberry smell. Smells like chemicals. Lactonic & powdery. I really wanted to like it. Sometimes I get a whiff of it and it reminds me of playdoh. At least this one smells of strawberries, albeit syrupy. The Elixir one is x10 more synthetic and doesnt smell like fruit at all. Burberry Her EDT is much cleaner & fresher.

I am amazed by the wear time, I got 15 hrs on my skin. I didnt spray on my clothes but I can imagine this would cling to fabric for days.

My fiance gets strawberry milkshake when he smells this so Ive worn it a few times for him, but after my travel size is finished I will not be buying more of this fragrance.

foxidius_

Smells like chemicals, i hate it.

mercedizzy

My signature in every season but summer. Literal strawberry juice, it just makes you feel so pretty!!
This is a very youthful fragrance, i 100% recommend the elixr for a slightly more sophisticated and mass appealing fragrance, but this one is my favourite.
MFK’s signature dna comes through in this one, but it’s balanced by the fruit and adds a luxurious aspect.
It does smell synthetic because of the overload of fruit notes, i guess it depends case by case as to how it sits on skin because I loveee it

novebry

I've surely reviewed this before, but I have to make a note here. This fragrance is absolutely everywhere. And it's unforgivingly uniform. If I catch a whiff of it in public, I don't think that somebody smells nice, I just think that somebody is wearing Burberry Her. And it unfortunately smells synthetic on a lot of people, even if they don't realize it does. I'm personally growing tired of smelling it.

Mshapiro2115

I blind purchased this and i do like the scent. To me it smells like a stronger version of Ariana Grande Cloud and Baccaratt's little sister. Smells very feminine. A sweet musk. I don't get any vanilla from this but it smells very sexy and i feel sexy when i am wearing it. I keep the travel spray in my bag for touch ups. 3-4 good hours on skin, days on clothes. I also have the 10 ml of Burberty Elixir and i like them both equally. Full bottle worthy.

cflatorrev

Fruity Baccarat Rouge 🫶🏻

xielian

I really love it but I can't smell any strawberries. Me and everyone I showed it to all thought it smelt floral🌸

Korah

This is probably the most synthetic strawberry I have ever smelled. It’s syrupy and sickly sweet. Reminds me of the awful cough syrup I had to take as a child. It’s a big NO for me.
I also don’t get the BR540 comparison at all.

Glyceryl

This one took me by surprise because I normally really dislike any scent that has cashmeran in it, but I think the berries really help keep it from becoming off putting to my nose.

Initial spray can be a little confusing and overpowering but once it dries down it turns into a sweet berry vanilla. I’m also very picky when it comes to vanilla because that note tends to turn very plastic and synthetic smelling on me; but again not this one. I think this is blended beautifully and can be worn day or night during any season.

nichoa99

Before I knew anything at all about perfume, I smelled almost every perfume on the shelf at Sephora one day, and this one caught my attention. I can’t really pick out any specific note in this perfume. The notes just come together and make one special scent that smells unlike anything else. It is very unique to my nose, while the other perfumes I smelled that day were uninteresting and a bit redundant. I’m confused at the notes listed on fragrantica, they don’t line up with what Burberry says the notes are. I know that happens sometimes but it seems like a lot of notes here are wrong. I definitely don’t get any patchouli which I am sensitive to and don’t enjoy. Describing this as a strawberry fragrance never came to mind. It’s not that sweet to me. It’s bright, a little woody…maybe an underripe strawberry? Fruity, but not edible. Definitely hard to describe. I wear this during the day and night, going out or going to work.

Aduro

This is my everyday fragrance. I work in a scent free (ish) workplace and no one ever complains about my perfume. It’s very inoffensive and smells fresh and sweet and delicious and creamy. Stays on me all day and I can smell it when I go to bed without it being offensive. It’s so girly and feminine. Im 50 and some might say I’m too old for it but I get nothing but conpliments!

stwrle

I adore this perfume but i swear what are yall smelling?? i dont get any "strawberry milk. Its white floral with a hint.. A HINT of berries. STILL a very good fragrance & it smells very girly and calming, i use it a lot but it definitely does not smell lactonic

XxRosexX

I had a strawberry scented lip smackers body spray when I was a kid that I loved. It wasn't at all similar to the smell of strawberry filled hard candies with the strawberry designed wrapper that twists at the top. It was more like the scent of the flavor oil they use in their strawberry chapstick, which was more like the strawberry smell that they put in a lot of toys when I was growing up. I have been desiring to find a perfume that smelled similar for over 3 years, now, and this is literally it. I honestly had very little hope in finding it in an actual perfume, because I figured that even if it had the right strawberry note, that the other notes would be too strong to give me what I was looking for.

I can't speak for the opening because I was testing too many perfumes on cards, but I wrote the name down and smelled this again two hours later in the dry down, and I'm shocked how much this smells like the straightforward strawberry scent that I was wanting all these years to fulfill my craving for those nostalgic childhood memories.

highglosshearts

Something about this conjures the mental image of a gigantic, almost hot pink strawberry that's the texture of circus peanuts, opening up into a forest of fragrant fruit. A scent you have to be in the mood for (do not spray this while hungry or dealing with stomach issues!) But when that feeling strikes, this is a layered, unapologetically feminine powerhouse begging to become someone's signature scent. (Adore the 'freshness' and complexity of this compared to the creamy potency of Elixir.)

AlvaAnnie

I think this is my signature scent for the summer. My only complaint is that the synthetic scent can make me a bit nauseous, but still a 9/10 scent.

angelica4444

After all these years I purchased Her today. I know the perfume is so popular and not unique at all but I like it so she's Just for me. Me an Her against the world kinda vibe

andrewpc84

Very fruity, think pink Starburst or cotton candy with a citrusy background that makes it more mature and less teeny bopper. Has a spring/summer cheerful floral that peeks out once and while. The mossy amber dry-down is long-lasting, sweet, and definitely feminine. The citrus is what stands out as strongest note next to the red/pink fruity notes. I see this as a good high school/college scent for girls, a pleasant non offensive somewhat original scent.

Brazilianbadbeech24.

Uhh so this perfume sprayed on a tester strip smelled good nice, bought it went home wore it… I’ve never regretted something so much smells bad on me that I went to the bathroom scrubbed it off me bec it was giving me a headache I say think twice before buying 50/50 either it smells good on u or bad 🤷♀️

anaperezz

smells like a bad tutti fruit gum

natalias

Whoever voted that it smells like BR540, I seriously don’t know how it’s possible. This is a synthetic strawberry scent, with overwhelming sweetness.

Gingerblck

This reminds me of the heart shaped fruit candies with different phrases on them that you get at valentines. Not for me.

aleksandrej

she is definitely a SPRING GIRL! fruit salad consisting mostly of strawberries and raspberries she is fresh and lovely and is great on her own or layered. Wish it lasted longer
( that's what she said ;)

ChristineKal

For me it is not sweet enough. Except for the strawberry, it smells quite green floral on my skin. Maybe it is the iris, which i usually find cold and grassy. Elegant still, but did not suit me. I much prefer the milky sweetnes of burberry her elixir.

CrissyCK

There are far too many perfumes these days with BR540 DNA, that it’s starting to get boring and overdone. However, BR540 will always be a masterpiece despite this.

This is good, it’s just typical. One of the better alternatives to BR540.

mahgwet

I can't believe it has all the different notes listed above. With my skin chemistry this just screams POWDER. I'm sorry I don't get all the other notes because they sound lovely. 😔

samanthaflynnxx

I love a fruity top note that settles into a musk, but this was way too sweet in a way that made me sick. The synthetic strawberry smell lingered so long on my skin, and none of the other wonderful notes I bought the fragrance for got to shine. Unfortunately not suited for my body chemistry.

nanadabila

this is my best friends’ signature perfume, when i first smelled it on her i was in love with it, she smelled like an expensive strawberry ice cream, it suited her so much and i decided to go for a try (although i’m more of a soft floral kind of girl) but i HATED how it projected on my skin, smelled like a cheap strawberry scent, not the preppy pretty girl my bff was giving.
This definitely made me think that some fragrances are the reflection of your personality, this is definitely for the cute, clean and sweet girl who loves gold earring hoops and a nice chai latte

Shanty36

This is a really well done fragrance for what it is (if that makes sense). It’s a fruity musk perfume … so nothing groundbreaking… HOWEVER, having Strawberry as the star of the show is relatively new and the performance on this is fantastic. I will say that the strawberry is quite synthetic smelling, reminds me of those old dolls in the 90s that smelled that strawberry shortcake. On the dry down it’s less jarring and it just becomes a really nice, sweet berry musk but the opening is not my favourite. Really nice and I highly recommend if that’s what you’re looking for.

maddie2503

I really wanted to like this. The notes are wonderful in theory, but this just smells like sharp artificial strawberry cough syrup.

I wore this on my neck and used a roller ball, probably the equivalent of 2/3 sprays. It was nauseating and headache inducing. I hate this one so much and it’s a shame because a lot of people love it and it sounds wonderful. But it just doesn’t work on me

BadMongoose

Judging by the notes this would be a love for me. Sprayed all over myself in the store and walked around. After 30 min it dissapeared. I was determined to buy it, so I went again after a few days, sprayed 7 sprays on skin and clothing. The same happened twice…. Sad. If longevity is bad, what is the point of spending the coin.

shery k

i don’t know why all you guys so harsh with this fragrance
at the first spray you feel strawberry strawberries but after 15min you can feel woody powdery strawberry
and it’s not bad ,
it’s not girly strawberry fragrance this is a feminine strawberry 🍓 🪵🦩

CB88

Have a tester of this, definitely strawberry delight but a bit of green as well. I don't really detect any patchouli on this and my skin tends to "pull" patchouli a lot.
It's fairly strong but inoffensive so I think most people would enjoy this. I don't particularly like attaching an "age" to a perfume but based on the sweetness I'd suggest this for someone in their 20s. I'm mid-30s and feel like it's a bit too sweet, unless I were to wear it in the summer during the day with a cute dress.

BeatriceCetti

I was hit by its longevity when I tried it on the first time. The dry down is super super nice, probably the best part of this perfume. I was wearing it last winter and I received a lot of compliments but, even though I really liked it, I think its time is over. One season was enough for it

ambervxyjul

I think this perfume has made more money for Burberry than the whole collection of clothes, perfumes and sunglasses combined. Everyone and their moms have it. It’s likable I will say, very inoffensive but just extremely generic. There’s not one perfume video I go by, that someone doesn’t mention this. I get it, it’s pretty but that’s all it is? It’s not groundbreaking or unique. If I was blindfolded smelling this, I would guess it’s worth $25 and sold at Tjmaxx.

No she does not smell like BR540 (I have the original), and she does not smell like cloud. Not every perfume with ambroxan smells like a dupe.

hannahbrooke

Absolutely delicious scent, fruity paradise, soft yet fun, sweet, seductive! Juicy sweet strawberry cotton candy cloud!

Gemsense

Would be a masterpiece if it just didn’t have that awful patchouli! It overtakes the fragrance in every weather and it’s a dirty b.o. type patch too. Oh how I wish this could be remastered with anything other than the musty overbearing patchouli. So if you’re wondering if the patch is just a supporting role, it’s not, it runs the show.

G0rebloom

If I were a 12 year old child getting their first feminine geared perfume this is perfect, it's bland but sweet and inoffensive. There are so many notes listed and yet you can smell absolutely none of them.

michaelaje74

Biggest disappointment of my collection for me. Not because it’s the worst, but because of what could’ve been. Was so excited to get this as I heard it was a lovely sweet, clean strawberry fragrance. I LOVE it on first spray, but unfortunately as the day goes on I get really sick of it and it becomes too powdery and artificial smelling for me.

bpeder

Used to love this but now can't stand it. The smell is sickly sweet and artificial. Almost has some kind of fermented/alcoholic stench which lingers in the back.

bearable_lightness

Tested this at Sephora and couldn’t wait to get it off. It smells like a hairspray to me. Sharp and metallic with an almost nauseating synthetic fruit undertone.

angelica4444

Strawberry added baccarat rouge 540

MysteriousMidna

Delicious! Yes, it smells a lot like strawberry candy but who doesn’t like strawberry candy? It reminds me of strawberry daiquiris and those individually wrapped strawberry candies that grandmas always seem to have but you never see them sold anywhere (low key one of my favorites). Yes, it’s super sweet but the other notes keep it relatively well-balanced. Its like a strawberry forest. The other fruits aren’t as distinguishable but definitely still there. Thankfully the patchouli and oak moss are subtle. Towards the very end of the dry down, I get a little bit of watery cherry blossom and something that reminds me of rose. It’s youthful and fun but not childish. Unlike other reviewers, I don’t get any plastic, hairspray, metal, milk, marshmallow, sharpie, cotton candy, or strawberry shortcake doll, but I think I’m getting what some have thought is licorice (don’t let that dissuade you though, I don’t like licorice but love this scent). I think this is a safe blind buy. I will be wearing this a lot in the spring and summer, or whenever I want a fruity pick-me-up. I think this is good layered with Flower of Immortality by Kilian, vanilla, or Melanie Martinez' Cry Baby Perfume Milk. The Oil Perfumery has a good dupe if you want to save some money.

Sarra816

This smells like a candied strawberry sitting on a tree trunk. It really is what it says it is..
When I spray this, it is instantly so sweet that I need it to dry down. The opening is no different than a strawberry lollipop or those hard candies. As it dries, I get a soft woody and powdery dry down.

Vaguely similar to Cloud and BR540 when others smell it on me, they usually ask if I am wearing either of those. Ironically I once asked a girl if she was wearing this and she told me it was BR540.

poodleParty

This is a very "perfumy" perfume. I get the plasticky/artificial note, but I also think it's very wearable and versatile. Reminds me of powdery, cheap, Halloween candies...but also pretty and fun. I would consider getting a bottle.

I see a lot of people saying that it's "youthful," but I think this is something that's good for any age. Girly, but there's something serious about it, due to the amber base. Also, I believe in wearing whatever you want at any age. 😂

katiesimpsonhair

This smells like nothing in my collection, very powdery, musky with strawberry, I seem to sometimes pick a liquorice type smell, I’m not sure why, it could possibly be the violet mixed with the sour cherry.. This is kind of sweet / dry smelling or maybe tarte . It wasn’t love at first sniff but it’s growing on me.

marsenrose

Very youthful; i'm mostly getting artificial strawberry (like strawberry gummies or strawberry milk). I think this would suit someone younger a lot better, I would not reach for it.

ribbonnn

recently bought this because i thought i remembered loving it after spraying it on a few times in ulta but it must have been a different Her flanker. the strawberry smells way too synthetic and hard candy-like, i actually kind of hate it. almost headache inducing to my nose. very sharp too. maybe too juvenile for my personal taste.

edit: i went in person to smell the Her line (and return this) and London Dream is much better in my opinion.

prettylittlething

Smells like soap and a typical artificial strawberry scent, like a strawberry shortcake doll. It can be a little sharp sometimes with the cherry note but overall it's a clean, sweet smell. I will say though my friend said the room smelled like Sharpie when I came in. I like the smell of Sharpies, but if that's not your thing then be aware.

perfumelov3r

love it !! it's very feminine but in a fun way. she's the kind of girl who is funny but also cute! i would like a bottle of this

Rockwinn

Funny, I came across this perfume first in an AirB&B and wore it the whole time I was there. It's a sweet, youthful scent. There's nothing too complex about this and probably when I'm a bit older I won't reach for it as much. I like it for day-to-day running errands or shopping. If I had a teenager looking for her first perfume, I'd get this for her.

Nina Netanyahu

I LOVE this perfume! It doesn't smell like strawberry to me.
It's a warm, comfortable and delicate spicy fragrance, with slightly sweet background. No fruity notes.
I feel the white floral notes. Very powdery and musky. The floral and woody touches are so comforting. It's a delicate scent, but at the same time striking and sensual.
I'm in love... It's unique and comfy. I dare say it's my favorite!

FartyFairy

I don't know if I'm the only one, but to me this doesn't snell like strawberries. When first sprayed it really spells like cotton candy, but when it dries down it almost melts with your skin in such a soft and warm way, it smells so homey and cozy, but not really like strawberries to me.

Cooler_Butter

Smells like strawberry shaved ice topped with strawberries and marshmallows. After a (long) while when the fresher notes fade, it smells like strawberry milk in a carton from the store - like a fluffy artificial strawberry scent with a smell of powder.

emiliue

Such a pretty, youthful, but intense strawberry scent. This scent is very versatile in terms of seasonal wear, and layering. I do wish the longevity was better.

chloejade

The BR540 comparisons are pretty apt! This is her young, fruity, playful cousin. I think this is a scent I would expect on a younger girl (not saying that in a negative way or anything!)

It’s fruity and airy, and with a pretty, playful base that is powdery and sweet. I enjoy it! I understand the people who say it smells cheap; similar to Baccarat’s other cousin, Cloud, there is something synthetic/plasticky about it; but I don’t find that to stand out or be particularly unpleasant. If you like fruity and sweet, definitely try it!

Jojo789

When I tested this in Ulta, I didn't really care for it. However, I decided to try it a few months later and purchased the travel size. Turns out, I love it! Possibly because it is colder outside now? But it smells so lovely. It is sweet and powdery with a little bit of an artificial strawberry. It is very girly. I got 2 compliments the first day I wore it. I also have since purchased Elixir and love that one, as well. It is similar, but more creamy. Elixir lasts 10-12 hours one me, while the OG lasts 6-8. I like to wear them both at the same time. So these aren't fruity in the way a body spray is fruity. It is more of a musky, powdery fruity. If you like the style of Prada Candy or Dama Bianca--that powdery sweetness--you may also like this!

MistyDayyy

This perfume didn’t work well for me. I initially sprayed it into the air when first trying it and liked it then. It’s a very fruity (berry) scent with a hint of musk. I decided to actually spray it on myself right before going somewhere which was a big mistake. Once the perfume dried down it smelled horrible on me. It turned into a very synthetic, plastic-y scent. It smelled so weird that I literally had to go scrub it off of my skin and change my clothes. I’ve tried so many perfumes and none of them have ever done that before. This is definitely a perfume you need to spray on yourself before buying because it can settle horribly. Oddly enough, one of my bath and body works mists smelled exactly the same without the horrible dry down.

fernlover

Smells just as i expected - sweet, juicy, without being artificial. I'm more than satisfied. If you look for a sweet berry perfume that smells delicious - this is the one for you. Strawberry smells amazing. It makes you want to drink some strawberry juice when you smell it

y0guurt

Smells first of all like strawberries and cream Dr. Pepper, but then the darker blackberry, vanilla and musk comes out in a way that is so intoxicating for me. This perfume is much sweeter and I guess more childish than what I am usually drawn too, but ended up being something of a signature scent for me over the past year. I feel like it brings an intentionally innocent edge to my work where I have to spend a lot of time trying to convince people not to assume the worst of others, but which also gives me the occasional opportunity to be a wee bit scheisty.

perfumelovere

I was so excited for a fresh juicy stawberry perfume but this is too artificial strawberry scented My Little Pony from the 80's. I don't even like it on others because I can immediately get the plastic in the base. Bummer. I had higher hopes for a Kurkdjian. It's in the same family as Cloud and BR540 but I could never confuse this with the other two.

Lexie_Burke

My friend owns this and when I tell you I thought she was wearing BR540 layered with something else I mean it.

This has the same synthetic room freshener posh smell that BR540 smells like to me. I don’t mind it at all, in fact I like smelling it on other people. Not on me.

For me this perfume is a close enough dupe to BR540.

fedexbaby

i really wanted to like this, it's one that pops up whenever i look up perfumes i know and love. i liked it in the bottle too, it was very sweet non offensive and feminine. when i actually put it on, omg!! i can't stand overly berry/fruity scents like this, they make me feel nauseous almost. it's so strong, sharp plasticky artificial fruit like a kids lip gloss or something. such a shame because the musk and vanilla base notes are cozy and pleasant. its a no from me.

candieskulls

I finally realize what this reminds me of: that glittery, pink, bubblegum toothpaste I used to use as a kid! Still, I enjoy Her, but not nearly as much as Elixir which is much more warm and powdery.

blossomrush

i had high hopes for this perfume. i went to 5 different stores to try it out (none of them had a tester) and was even considering blind buying it. but when i finally able to smell it, i left the store disappointed.

i was expecting a fruity, berry-like, fresh scent but all i can smell on my skin is a suffocating orange smell. no sign of the sweet strawberry that i was looking for. some people described it as “plastic” and i have to agree with them.

also, this does not remind me of ariana grande’s cloud at all. cloud is a lot more of a cosy scent, with a strong musky undertone. none of that shows up here.

theonlyksmith

Intensely fruity and clear, almost dream-like. Youthful but not overly sweet. What sweetness it starts with fades slightly with time but the berry scents remain intact. Absolutely feminine, daytime wear.

renalena

When people say Burberry Her EDP gives strawberry shortcake, they should mean the doll for how reminiscent it is to the scented Strawberry Shortcake I had when I was in primary school. Artificial, very sweet and exhausts my nose by itself. Testing multiple times in-store made it difficult to detect this effect (I blame it on a mix of light exposure manipulating the fragrances, and the other wafts of fragrance whirling about) until I had it delivered this morning and tried it for myself. Three hours in and it's still way too much for me to take on the singular wrist I tested it on by itself, so I've scrubbed it off to spare myself a migraine – though I'll give it props for its projection and longevity because I can STILL detect it somewhat strongly.

This isn't to say that I hate it, rather I don't like it on its own. Maybe it's because I prefer warmer scents or citrus or tart berries in my fruitier favourites, but Her EDP is almost headache-inducing because it is so sickly sweet and synthetic. It's gonna be a return for sure.

However, I can imagine it would be a lovely enhancer to deeper perfumes I have that need that extra bit of sugar to really hit the mark – not that DBIR Intense necessarily needs the boost as I like it on its own plenty, but layering the two at random this morning keeps me going back to my other wrist. Maybe it's for reprieve from Her by itself making me feel loopy, or maybe they just make an addictive pair; I'm thinking it's both.

It's a shame that I can't vibe with Her on its own to justify keeping it in an affordability crisis, but maybe I'll pick up the travel spray to recreate this combo and many others in the future 🤷♀️ we'll see

chocoshelo

Fresh berry picnic in the woods.

Silverbell

I'm so tired of all this powderyness, smells exactly like Ariana Grande Cloud and Cheirosa 68. I hate that this has been a trend because all I can smell e v e r y w h e r e is this really powdery sickly sweet scent that reminds me of shampoo, my nose is SO tired of it. I was so disappointed when I blind-bought Burberry Her because I thought I found a fresh strawberry perfume but nope! Just powder and chemical strawberry. I don't even know why I keep on buying this one and selling it because it has some simplicity to it and is inoffensive but so boring.

deirdreconstancek

Let me preface by saying: I dont mind sweet! In fact, I love it in many instances such as Burberry Brit. But this scent is so, so bizarre and truly vile. It does not in any way shape or form resemble a strawberry. Not even artificial strawberry. It’s sweet in the way something that is fleshy and decaying is “sweet”. It triggers one’s flight or flight. BAD BAD BAAAD oh my god I just want a good strawberry perfume.

larabk

I've been wearing this for a year and never once understood the comparison to BR540. I really thought this perfume was different, its own airy strawberry concoction.

Twice now though, I've smelled what I thought was BR540 in the air and it turned out to be someone wearing this. Not a perfect dupe because it's so strawberry, but close enough that I confused the two when smelled in the air.

mekanazekana

Nice, gentle everyday perfume. Shame it doesn't last longer. Scent is beautiful, yet there is nothing much special about it, it's just ok for casual wear.

Hifza

The words would not do justice that how amazing this scent is. It makes me like a queen and uplifts my mood that leads me to dancing. I find it soft, warm and cozy yet on the other hand, it's pretty, and beautiful. Strawberry notes are adding life to this fragrance. But this should have a long-lasting power because it doesn't last at all.

Shan101beauty

Such a pretty and beautiful scent. A light reminiscence of baccarat with a more fruity twist. Very pretty girl scent.

jessyylovesglam

It smells nice, but it only lasted for about 10 minutes on my skin. I was expecting this to have more longevity considering it’s quite pricey. I ended up returning it for the elixir version which is so much better.

Sarahaliii

Love it smells fruity cherry strawberry sour sweet in love with scent night scent for me smells like a young frag. Playful

curiecurie

I used to HATE this perfume when I smelled it in stores; came off as plasticky and synthetic. Bought it for no reason and grew to love it. Intense strawberry at first but fades into very versatile musky fruity scent. Doesn't have too much depth -- in a good way; very linear. Moderate sillage. leans "warm". This is a scent I'd like to linger on a cardigan. Simple, could dab a tiny amount and wear to work. It can be loud if you spray a lot but I think it's not really making a statement. Would purchase full bottle.

asjk97

Update a year later after hating it at first: purchased the new Petals Limited Edition of Burberry Her 🤭 I reviewed the original after smelling it in Amsterdam Schipol Airport last year and absolutely hated it then. Well…a year later I really do like this scent. That bottle must’ve been old, ripe and not a true representation of Her.

A man in Dubai Airport came up to me with a sprayed card telling me to sniff, I almost said no as I recognised the bottle but decided to be polite and take it. I was so confused bc it actually smelled so nice this time?! Then the elixir version was even better! I think because this Petals Edition has a lot of oil to keep the petals from sinking (it looks thick when you move the liquid around), it might be taking away a sharp note that made me nauseous the first time I tested Burberry Her. Also explains why the guy selling it to me kept saying “oil based”. He then sprayed me with it like 4 times and I was smelling like strawberry sweets the entire journey back right until it was time to get ready for bed (~10 hours). Sorry to those on the 5 hour flight that could smell me 🫣😅🍓🌸 Her Petals Edition is very pretty to look at too, I don’t have anything like it. Proper Barbie, it girly fragrance.

babypong

I get strong floral notes out of this. The powder notes give it a fresh vibe. Otherwise, it's very linear. I don't think it's strong enough. Probably a safe blind buy or a safe gift for others. It's somewhat unique, but pretty linear. Its not a scent for me

Detman101

Hmmm...this isn't very "Strawberry"....More of a melange of random fruits.
To me, it smells more like "Vaseline Intensive Care" with a hint of strawberry and musk.
You know...the creamy light-yellow lotion that came in the yellowish pump bottle back in the 90s...yeah, that one.
It's not bad...but it's not what I expected.
I guess that's the expected end when you blind-buy...
It seems to function well though, projecting well enough in this first 2 hours and leaving a nice trail behind me.
I'm wearing this full-body with spritzes of "Red Tobacco" layered on pulse points...will see how it progresses through the day as I make my way through the wear.
Will update later...

UPDATE: After a full-days wear, I can say that this is a keeper. The "Lotion" smell is actually very comforting in a nostalgic way. It also lasts very long and leaves a nice trail and scent bubble.
I may layer it with a dense vanilla to give it more of the creamy feel I'm seeking and prefer, however. Testing with "Sweetly Known" went well, going to test layering with "SDV" and "Khamrah" later...

marialena888m

I only like this one in cool or cold weather, fall, winter and early spring…it’s nice and uncomplicated for everyday use, feels soft, girlish, and cozy, but it also smells cheaper than its price. I started layering this scent with Pure Musc (Narciso Rodriguez), and the combination is much prettier than wearing it on its own. In warm weather, it’s straight-up strawberry car air freshener, a big no! I will use up my bottle in the colder months but I will not repurchase.

LEM922

This is your quintessential fruity floral, and also my favorite of the 3 flankers I’ve smelled. There’s a lot of comparison to cloud and BR540 but honestly, I dont get either of those. What i DO smell for whatever reason, is Daisy from Marc Jacobs. I think it’s the combo of strawberry and violet that I’m picking up on, because I do smell the violet, it’s not an invisible note for me. This is honestly delicious. Very fresh and fruity, perfect for spring and summer. Performance isn’t spectacular, I have this on one wrist and Her elixir on the other and that one is definitely outprojecting and outperforming the original. With that said however, it keeps it safe from being too cloying in the warmer months. Maybe full bottle worthy, I’ll give it a couple more tries and see how I feel. Pretty safe blind buy, as well.

PiscesGal

good for warm weathers, very sweet and feminine. i cant overspray this though without getting a headache.

JKanyce

The musk is doing way too much for me. That's literally all I smell. Musk covered with fake strawberry. It could very well smell like all those top note fruits, but I'll never know. This is a mesh of that vintage church woman smell and a 6 year old "princess." I can't take it.

Happyjulie

I’m already on my second bottle) the first one was used within four months approximately, this is pretty quickly for me) after that I didn’t know whether to buy one more or not, so I was staying without Her for a couple of months. After a while I realised that I simply needed it! I won’t describe the notes as this is a very personal thing and perception, but Her is worth the hype in my opinion. I cannot wear baccarat, something feels too much for me in it((( but when I smell it on somebody else- it’s divine. Her- is a different story, the Maestro created the same vibe but in a completely different way! This type of fragrance is modern but wearable, sweet but is not your common sweetness, easy to understand but not simple!

mcef9

To me, this smells like a doll I used to have in my childhood, which had a very potent plasticky strawberry smell. I got it on a whim, but it's not for me.

Mia80

Not for me. Too soft too clean and overall unpleasant. It smells like a handkerchief in a hospital.

missingbonnet

My first impression of it is it smelled like berries, definitely a sharp punch to my senses. The strawberry is the stronger note.
Turns to something syrupy. And goes faint to my nose not even past an hour, I can barely smell it on my skin and clothes but it does smell a bit more pleasant this way. Not something I'd get a full bottle of.

mabelangel

I used to love this fragrance but after wearing it a few times, it makes me want to vomit

I see the appeal, I was part of it, but it’s just so cheap and synthetic smelling. If you made me smell test this blindfolded, I’d assume it came from a plastic bottle with a cartoony character on it. It’s too synthetic for the price point imo. After wearing it for a while it just makes me feel sick. I literally can’t get the stench out of one of my cardigans, it’s terrible. I don’t know how people can buy a full bottle of this and enjoy it, it’s so cloying.

In theory I like it. Sometimes I past someone on the street wearing it and it smells alright, but anything more than a whiff and I think I’d drop dead.

bibiperfumer20

This is a great scent. Definitely an everyday wear scent.

Allybabaa

way too sharp for me..... I have the same reaction to Delina by Parfums de Marley. I think the openings in these are similar and are very off-putting.

Eden1

Smells exactly like rubber strawberry erasers.

leaves.n.rain

I love this perfume! When I tested it a couple years ago, I couldn't stop smelling my wrist, so my husband bought it for me as an anniversary present. This smells sweet, fruity, and warm with a touch of florals. The DNA of this fragrance reminds me of Baccarat Rouge, which makes sense given the perfumer. I think this is perfect for warm, sunny days in spring, but if it's too warm in the summer it can start to smell a little rancid, in my opinion. I don't notice a huge difference between initial spray and the dry down, I can smell the same/similar notes all day. The berries do not smell photorealistic in any way, but I don't find them to smell cheap or synthetic either. Burberry Her smells like sugary, sweet berries without smelling syrupy.

nicolespeedyfast

I only had a sample of this which I never reached for and went untouched for months. On the first wear I really couldn't stand the opening; powder notes are usually a hit or miss for me personally. On dry-down I see the appeal! Its daddy's money, gloomy & rainy London, short skirts and black turtlenecks with knee-high boots, Mayfair penthouses, tea time in dark lounges, a chauffeured Rolls Royce, and an unlimited budget on New Bond street. I don't think this would wear well on young people, but definitely a woman with her life together and whose sales associates drop everything when she calls. Gets better the longer I wear it, but the first 5-10 minutes are about tolerance and endurance. I'm ordering the Her Intense ASAP

emilia123

Another case of me loving the opening and disliking the drydown. The strawberry becomes a bit too synthetic and the musk is very screechy.

motherofdjembe

Beautiful and inoffensive. Refreshing and light. Doesn’t project much or announce your arrival, but pleasing if you like close to your skin scents. I love a good strawberry scent and wish there were more options out there that didn’t smell like a teenage body spray.

otkalt

Overall, this fragrance is very pleasing. The citrus notes give the berry cocktail an almost minty quality- my teenaged signature scent. It's musky, yet fresh, and a youthful, vivacious classic. But, the problem that keeps haunting with me is it lacks a certain cohesiveness. The first spray smells intensely of synthetic strawberries, and the drydown almost never preserves the sweetness of the berries, instead abandoning it for the woody musk. As a young girl, it was satisfactory, but that is all it is.

nina4tj

Burberry Her is a linear scent but just pleasant from top to bottom. Love

Pentagon

This perfume is exactly what it purports to be, so there isn't any mystery here...the only question is whether you'll like it. Upon first spray, the strawberry and other berry notes are very prominent, so you'll have to like a very fruity opening that's reminiscent of Bath and Body Works.

Upon the dry down, you absolutely smell the similarity between this and BR540. They share the same DNA, but they are not dupes. I'd recommend Her if (1) you like BR540 but think it's too unisex leaning, (2) think BR540 is heavy on the fir resin note and want something more feminine, and (3) really like a fruity fragrance. No matter what, if you don't want a fragrance that has a strong fruity vibe, this won't be the fragrance for you.

Definitely try it first, maybe get a travel spray, or buy a bottle at a discount. I am selling my 3.3 ounce bottle because I liked it at first (and still do), but I think the fruity aspect is too much for me and I already have other BR540-type scents.

Szilvita

Tried this today and quickly knew this wasn't for me.

It starts off with Very synthetic and sweet fruitiness that reminds me of teenage/celebrity perfumes or viva la juicy. I like sweet perfumes, but not this kind of sweet

Not long after spraying it turns less girly and a familiar smell showed up. Reminded me of Coach wild Rose when it has settled! Reading the notes of the two I think its due to the oakmoss, and I'm unfortunately not a fan. I only sprayed a bit on my wrist and yet I couldn't get rid of that smell. Several handwashes and changing clothes, and I could stil sense it..

silverlocusts

This is a solid like for me. It’s pretty, it’s springy, it’s youthful, it’s girly without being overwrought with delicate flowers. It’s a pretty simple scent to me, which I think is a good thing. Yes Kurkdijan is a great perfumer so there’s no way this is going to suck, but he also kept the best stuff for his own like. If you don’t have BR540 money this will definitely do the same thing. I like how the bottle resembles a hip flask; we gotta get our fix. Personally I prefer the depth of the Elixir, but the OG is already a classic. I would not be mad if this or any of the flankers were gifted to me. It just smells damn good! If I were rating it out of 10, it is a solid 8.

ella3

the opening for me was very synthetic and overly sweet... the dry down is much nicer however

emily385

I don't get the hype for this one at all. It's an overpowering scent, and not in a good way.

nruthh

I wanted to like this, but I just don’t. People keep saying it smells like a strawberry milkshake, and that’s what I was hoping for, but I don’t get that at all. Is it milky? Yes. Is it strawberry-forward? Yes. But something about the powdery heart and strong musk throughout makes it scratchy in my throat and nose, like drinking a strawberry milkshake next to your aunt who smokes a pack a day and the cigarette smoke is wagging off her hair and clothes.

It’s also definitely in the BR540 family. Nowhere near a dupe, but the DNA is there. It’s the fruitchouli cousin of BR540.

I’ve tried many times over the course of a year to understand or enjoy this perfume. I just do not like it.

M4rkéta

This fragrance was actually created by evaporating strawberry milk and it creating a cloud in the sky. It is a scent that Strawberry Shortcake would wear. Despite it's incredible dreamy strawberriness, it is NOT synthetic or plasticky. I prefer more natural scents, yet this didn't disappoint me. I like her on me.

clads

I get fresh and juicy berries from the initial spray. I can’t exactly pinpoint an exact fruit, it’s more of a mishmash of berries. The dry down smells straight up like a strawberry shake plus plastic. But it’s not just any plastic, it’s plastic that smells damn good. I find it difficult to describe, but it’s a synthetic strawberry shake without much of the earlier freshness — but that isn’t to say it doesn’t smell good. It just doesn’t smell particularly fresh or natural. Regarding the BR540 DNA, my noob nose can’t detect it if it’s not pointed out lol.

lizzygrantinmyheart

Sweetest, yummiest strawberry perfume ever. But not childish. Although it's definitely a very strong, fruity, gourmand, it doesn't smell like something from a plastic, tube-shaped bottle with a cartoon character on the label. Not much more to say about it. Youthful, but not childish mixed berry scent that dries down into a fluffy cotton candy. 78/100, yummy.

Tran Tran

Fruity and powdery, such a feminine vibe. It didnt impress me at first but the more i use it the more i fell in love. A totally elegant soft lady kinda scent.

Caroline22

Not a fan of how this perfume starts. It's an overbearing plasticky sweet strawberry that's very childish and reminds me of scented dolls me and my friends used to have as kids.

HOWEVER if you're willing to brave through the first hour or so, then actual magic happens. The woody accords really start coming through, the fruit accords become not so screechy & plasticky, and it turns into an actually gorgeous scent of red fruit in a forest. I wish it was just this from start to finish. At least it lasts and projects for hours so I can enjoy it after the initial experimental torture of evolving from a Barbie scent to a real woman's scent.

By the way I do not get the BR540 dupe buzz, it may share some of the vibes but it's more like a distant fruity cousin of it, rather than close family.

Nightglow

Liked it at first spray, but it was also oddly familiar — after about 30 minutes, I realized it's a complete dupe for "Love at First Glow" by Jlo (now discontinued). I wore that scent heavily when I was in my late teens/early 20's, so while I have a positive reaction to the smell, I can't untangle it from that time period...this will always be girlish, bright, and young to me.

The sillage is nice, lasts a few hours. A very spring/summer perfume.

solida

Envelop yourself in the sweet and alluring fragrance that exudes sophistication and elegance. This captivating scent is versatile, making it perfect to wear any time, day or night, and during any season. It's an ideal choice for women who appreciate the finer things in life. With a rating of 9.5 out of 10, this perfume is sure to leave a lasting impression wherever you go.

MaisonHamada

There's a new edition called "Burberry Her Eau De Parfum Petals Limited Edition" available here in the UAE. I wonder if it smells exactly the same. Has anyone tried?

Zevota

This one is so so so sweet - I literally felt nauseated. Strong synthetic strawberry, smells like cheap candy or syrup.

Sa7ar

To my nose this smells exactly the same as baccarat rouge and the pink Si which both I had to give away.. The opening might feel nice but then a horrible spice-like irritating smell sticks to my nose that I have to go wash the perfume off immediately.. It's very distinct that I could identify it when other people wear it and I can't stand it. So I would not recommend.

Hanan bazaza

So light and smell cheap

Strawberrykitty

I’m sorry, but I have almost gone through the 5.0oz bottle of this and it smells nothing like AG Cloud. I deeply despise Cloud and its smell-alike SDJ Beija Flor. They smell like plastic in a bad way. This smells like plastic in a good way. Strawberry cotton candy and plastic. Very doll’s head vibes with this one. And I love it. It layers well with everything, especially Glossier You, and gets me compliments. This was my first female marketed fragrance purchase and I have since gone down the rabbit hole. MFK is a genius and I will always purchase his fragrances. The discontinuation of Burberry Her Intense was heartbreaking, as is my lack of drive to purchase Grand Soir (which is probably the best thing I’ve ever smelled).

I think Fall In Bloom from Bath & Body Works is the closest dupe for Burberry Her specifically, as opposed to Cloud or BR540. I think the powdery sweet scent of Fall In Bloom puts it between Her and Her Elixir, with it being slightly close to the Elixir.

For the people who love this scent, strawberries, and cotton candy, I implore you to go to Smallflower and get the perfume extract oils from Outremer in the scents vanille and fraise, respectively. Fraise with Miss Dior and Glossier You had two ladies in Greece asking me what I had on. Vanille goes with everything and lasts longer than the Outremer spray; I find Solinotes Vanille lasts longer than Outremer while smelling 98% similar.

angiemats133

I have loved many scents and I have many different fragrances. This is my holy grail. It gives cute soft girl energy. It's sweet, girly, fruity, sexy it has the hole package. And it lasts all day.

smithaker

On me the opening is a strawberry-heavy fruitchouli, morphing quickly to a strawberry candy scent that I find a bit juvenile. But in the drydown the vanilla-musk-oakmoss combo is more present with a delicate overlay of strawberry and sour cherry. I'm currently trying to time the average time to dry down (and longevity), since that's the profile I really enjoy in this one.

Leolia

I don’t get the hype. All i get is strawberry wunderbaum.

IdoleYesIAm

I love Her! This was my first full bottle perfume since people says its a dupe for BR540. It smells strawberry candy sweet but not cloying, rather light and airy. Only the dry down I find similar to BR540. The dry down is ambery and sweet like cotton candy.
Performance wise, this is the weakest in my collection. Longevity is 6h at best and projection lasts only 45min on me. Although, the trail is impressive for a weak perfume. People can smell it on me at work.
For comparison, I only buy intense and sexy fragrances like libre parfum and The Only One Intense. I will keep this in my fragrance collection just for the sentimental value lol. Its a perfume that started my obsession with fragrances.

iammelody

I have a sample of this that I've been sleeping on so I decided to test it out for a few days. At first I was indifferent. I didn't think it was anything offensive or unpleasant, but I wasn't wowed.
But now I find this strangely addicting and incredibly pleasant. Lots of strawberry here.
I'm also getting that "sterile" or "dentist office" smell that people are mentioning and it's absolutely intriguing to me... I wish that aspect was even stronger.
It also makes me think of how a rich person's house would smell like right after the laundry is done and it's been cleaned and vacuumed, but it doesn't mean this smells like cleaning products or detergent (I used to clean houses for rich people in my early days lol).
I've never smelled BR540 but if it's anything like this, I can definitely see why it's so popular but also strange.
It's very long lasting on me, about a good 8 hours.

Since I like layering scents, this works very nicely with BBW Strawberry Snowflakes and Strawberry Pound Cake (for a thicker gourmand kick).

AinoKaroliina

Reminds me of artificially flavored strawberry sour candy and I'm not loving it. After testing this I'm glad I didn't blind buy.

By the way I read some reviews that compared this to Ariana Grande's Cloud and Ari but I have both of those and I love them and don't understand the comparison. With Burberry Her there is this sour quality to it that I'm not enjoying.

Charli3

It smells like Ariana Grande Cloud and Baccarat Rouge, I really dislike that scent profile but if it’s your thing you should try this out. Great longevity and silage. Also a crowd pleaser.

carterooni

To start things off, I do want to say I’ve never had the pleasure of smelling BR540 myself; or if I have while out and about off of a stranger, I didn’t know it was BR540. I do, however, own and love Cloud. I say this because as a “noob” fragrance enthusiast that’s one of the frags I started with.

Which brings me to Burberry Her; a lovely perfume that I blindly bought because I really like Cloud and wanted to try more scents that share similar “bodies”. I’ve seen reviews comparing Cloud to BR540, BH to BR540, Cloud to BH, all that, so I thought I’d give it a try.

Now onto the actual subject matter, I like BH, but it definitely wasn’t what I expected. Like the one I mentioned, Burberry Her is *definitely* a sweet fragrance. First impression is nauseatingly sweet, almost; which I didn’t mind too much, as a sweet perfume gal myself. But even as it dries down, it maintains a sort of “sticky”, sugary, almost artificial sweet scent to it. The strawberry, to me anyway, is one thing that stays, very much so, throughout. As it dries down I can feel a hint of floral, but that’s about everything else I smell apart from that sweet, sweet, oh so sweet strawberry. Maybe it’s just me, but it feels like once it dried it gains this borderline alcoholic, rotten fruit feel to it; which I weirdly like. Also reminds me of anything artificially strawberry scented, like strawberry air freshener.

One thing I was kind of disappointed by is the longevity, which by reading reviews I realize might simply have to do with my own skin chemistry. Everyone is raving about that aspect.. while for me it seems to last just as long if not less than Cloud. Again, that’s probably on me. It’s not bad by any means, just expected a lot more.

Nonetheless, it’s a lovely scent! But by no means for someone who can’t handle overly sweet scents, IMO. As a gourmand girly myself, even I can admit it’s definitely close to “too sweet”. If Cloud has been described as BR540’s teenage sibling in another review, Burberry Her, I assume, is their six-year-old little sister. What I get from it is sugar candy, strawberry soda, sweet and fruity body mist, very artificial and sweet. Not my favorite, but still really cute!

And a final comparison to Cloud, BH is kind of like smelling gummy candy, while Cloud is kind of like smelling praline chocolates. Both are sweet but in entirely different ways, and which one is better is up to individual preference. ♡

sleepingbeau

A people-pleaser. This gets me compliments often and it's most probably because it's easy to like though it's not my favourite. It has an inviting and sweet presence, very inoffensive and delicate while remaining fresh, fruity. I think this is more appropriate for a fun plan with your friends at daytime. It's not formal, but it's fun. Not sure I can justify its price however, so maybe get Cheirosa '68 if you are looking for something similar and cheaper. Friends have confused the two in the past before, though I definitely prefer Burberry Her by a long run due to that strawberry note.

konkybong

staying power is impressive. I sprayed twice in the morning and was out in the sun sweating for a few hours. it transforms as it lives, and can play along well with your skin to bring out the slight musk if you just take it for a walk. berry picking on a hot, windless day.

Lilah_lilah2023

An interesting and unique scent, I like the strawberry in it (although it smells synthetic). Unfortunately on my skin this perfume is so faint and fleeting that I would never purchase a full bottle of it because of its poor overall performance.

Whitney_win

One of my favorite scent of all time.

happy_panda_

Smells sooo good just wish it lasted longer, not sure if it’s worth the price

Nourhanamer

My forever favorite perfume. I cannot describe how much I love this scent.
