My big sister’s Signature scent … i always try to make her love other fragrances too but she wont leave this one..

captchapple

Extremely similar to Police To be born to shine. Both have a strange toothpaste smell to my nose when i first spray. After about 1 h the scent is quite lovely on the skin. For me this fragrance is quite messy and I can't really tell the different notes apart. I also find this fragrance very strong and long lasting. Have gotten headaches too. Overall just an
OK scent.

PerfumeShikin

I hate the new formulation. Smells like mens' perfume. They threw out oakmoss from it. No longevity. Not at all sexy or feminine. It used to smell complex sophisticated sexy feminine multilayered. Now is just a boring one note men's perfume. Urgh.

sandraaalindgren

This makes me feel lika a sophisticated british lady, in a good way! The scent feels classy but not too mature. It’s a strong floral but the rose really hides behind the jasmin so it doesn’t get that old vibe. Would recommend that you try it first though, this fragrance might not be for everyone. But I like it!

This perfume transports you down a long avenue lined with honeysuckle trees, at 10:30 in the morning on a late spring day. You find yourself in a charming suburb, with rows of tidy houses and well-kept gardens. The rain is tapering off, and you're out for a stroll, wearing your Burberry waterproof trench coat, a silk scarf, and a coordinated umbrella. It's a weekday, but by some strange circumstance, you're not at work that day. Perhaps you're running errands, or maybe you're investigating something that didn't sit right with you in the past few days, and an adventure awaits you.

SzekelyEmoke

It's okay but nothing special. Does remind of Rare Pearls but not as sweet and faint inducing. Imma pass on it.

JoannaV22

I’m a huge fan of florals and have recently been coming to enjoy white florals due to some Elizabeth Taylor perfumes I recently got. While I love them, they do have a kind of dated feel to them. However, London by Burberry manages to feel so sophisticated and modern. I’m absolutely obsessed with it. The Tiare flower in the dry down is so gorgeous. Truly such a clean, feminine scent thats perfect for everyday. I might have just found my new signature scent. i love it that much

mekanazekana

I almost bought it, luckily I waited until tester dry down on my skin, and sincerely it was like a male perfume on my skin. I don't know why, maybe because sandalwood with musk. I just didn't like it. I do love Burberry Her, but London is a bit sharp for my nose.

aednk015

I never think that I will love it as much as I can now. It's the perfect combination of white floral, citrus and fruity. Classic but not old, sweet but not innocent, quiet but can speak louder from her smile, cheerful and lively. Look like Audrey Hepburn from Roman Holiday.

fragheadny

A lot more tropical than I expected. It's very pretty. Lots of honeysuckle and tiare flower. Feels like you're in a tiny little white beach house with the windows open on a nice spring day, letting in the breeze and the smell of fresh flowers blooming right outside.

Clean, Plush & Opulent White-Floral Bouquet with Jasmine & Tiare...

I've come back to this one after awhile, and I had forgotten how good it is - another Dominique Ropion gem (signed by DR & Jean Marc Chaillan). I was craving a scent like this, looking forward to spring. The white-florals are blended so beautifully here - I'm a fan of the way Mr. Ropion blends white-florals. I could imagine Eva Green wearing this in the James Bond film, Casino Royale, which also came out in 2006. Like the film, this scent has drama & opulence blended with a contradictory conservatism.

Opens with a bright burst of honeysuckle & tangerine with hints of rose, but already the buttery & succulent tiare-jasmine combo is swelling through. As it transitions to the heart, the white-florals come even more forward with peony adding to the velvety plushness & clementine boosting the fruity-citrus facets. At this stage it takes on a more opulent white-floral feel, and the tiare here is not quite beachy but still buttery, while jasmine is clean & citrus-y. This all rests on a sandalwood, musk & patchouli base that keeps the plush white-florals going for well beyond average performance with gorgeous projection.

This isn't a dupe of anything, but at times I catch reminders of other Dominique Ropion white-florals including Pure Poison Dior, Lady Million Paco Rabanne & Alien Mugler. This is a must-try for lovers of white-florals, and a longtime love for me. Enjoy!

This is one of the first fragrances I bought as a teenager. It reminds of My Way, only much more pleasant, well formulated and cheaper. If you are into citruses and white flowers the good old Burberry London is a valid option.

Regina del Mare

I tried London a for the first time a few years ago, and it was love at first spray. :)
I'm not good at all in recognising the notes of any fragrance, however I know what I like and what I don't. Whenever I like a fragrance, turns out it has predominantly white flowers (especially jasmine). It was the same this time. Ever since, London is my absolute favourite and the only perfume I cannot stay without.
When I'm wearing it, I feel feminine, elegant and classy. I wish I were in the streets of London on a rainy afternoon, careless and relaxed. I hope Burberry never stops making this masterpiece!

fahgrance

Pleasant floral fragrance, though not the best for humid summer days. Finished a bottle / not going to repeat.

Glyceryl

Opens with a lot of tangerine, honeysuckle, and jasmine. Sweet, clean and juicy.

Then as it dries down jasmine is in the forefront and you start to get the musk, sandalwood and patchouli. It is a little reminiscent to the original Juicy Couture fragrance.

Overall, to my nose (once this has dried down completely) this is very musky, woody, bitter and slightly sweet because of the jasmine. I typically LOVE jasmine in fragrance but the patchouli is ruining it for me. I honestly think this could work really well as a men’s fragrance as well. I don’t dislike this scent, I think it’s nice.. I just can’t see myself wearing this very often. It doesn’t feel like me.

vanille23

i got this as a gift and it'd definitely be perfect for someone who likes jasmine and florals and also maybe someone a little more mature than me! on my skin i get a lot of the jasmine and also a weird almost bitter note i don't know how to describe. i'll be giving this to my mom lol

dreaming-in-moss

I love this perfume! One of the best floral/jasmine scents I've encountered so far, and it's reasonably priced.

However, I recommend only wearing this perfume in humid weather as I have noticed that the dry down of this perfume tends to change depending on how much humidity is in the air. For example, in dry weather I really hate how the dry down ends up smelling, it makes me think of cockroach spray and poverty (if you're unfortunate enough to know, you know) and it makes me gag a bit. In more humid weather however, it smells more like what it's meant to smell like, which is a woody/musky/patchouli scent.

I guess it would make sense that this perfume smells best in humid weather as the UK is known for its year round humidity. I live in a drier climate so I don't wear this perfume as often as I'd like.

Eline091

This gem is my favourite floral fragrance. And I'm not a floral fragrance type of woman. For those of you who liked Armani my way, but thought my way was to heavy on the bubblegum, try this instead! This is my way's older sister! It's more mature. It so strange this is not as hyped as my way.

anamarmo

I love jasmine perfumes. This one is very elegant and feminine. If the "clean girl aesthetic" trend was a perfume.

cristinap9587

I finished a 30 ml bottle then moved on to other scents and forgot about this gem. I recently repurchased it in a bigger bottle after remembering why I love it so much. It's so, so well blended and you can now find it on sale easily (I paid around 20 euros for 50 ml). I'm currently trying to reduce my collection to under 10 perfumes, and I'm keeping London permanently as my fruity-floral pick, mostly because it's so versatile. I love the opening, the tangerine is so well-blended with the honeysuckle but I don't get rose at all. The body is also lovely, jasmin and clementine, wow! What a combo! I would have loved to smell more tiare but actually none of the notes stand out on their own, which is awesome. I get why people have said it's similar to L'Interdit, it shares some vibes and it's probably what Givenchy would come out with if they wanted to add a freshie flanker to that line (let's not forget that London came out over 10 years before the current L'Interdit version so who is copying who :D). If I were to compare it to something I'd say it's more similar to Boucheron Quattre but much more sophisticated and longer lasting. Another thing that made me fall for this one is that it does not go to the dry-down quickly. Surprisingly, it works great in colder weather, definitely not a summer scent but I love it as my autumn and also winter fragrance when I'm not in the mood for hardcore woody-vanilla-amber bombs, almost like a pick-me-up when you're missing spring too much :) No huge projection but you get 4-6 hours on the skin (more on clothes). I associated it with preppy chic outfits, some oxford shoes and a nude trench coat, on a rainy but not too cold autumn day. Feminine but not too delicate, girly but not immature (on the contrary, it has a sophistication to it that any similar crowd-pleasers don't), overall an awesome purchase and even a safe blind-buy I would say, for somebody who you would describe as "bubbly".

bonvivantblonde

To me, this fragrance is like taking a stroll on a foggy, rain-filled day—evoking a sense of comfort and a home away from home. As my first-ever fragrance purchase, it holds a special place in my heart.
The clear white floral notes exude a classy vibe, making it perfect for simply being yourself.
It's a timeless beauty suitable for any time and occasion, always offering a touch of elegance.

ozlemmenguloglu

longevity and sillage are weak :( but the scent is good.

Hennessy909

I think this fragrance was created to be the perfect gift. It's super fresh and super bright floral goodness with minimal complexity in a good way.
(I thought it was tuberose.)
It has a very acceptable performance for the price, and it's almost impossible not to find it in the first store.
Oh, and when I say price, it's usually more expensive on the main website, but this thing is always on sale somewhere.

thaochipnd

One of the freshest, most beautiful Jasmine scents I've ever tried.

A beautiful, luxurious floral scent with British style from Burberry. It's like a trip to London full of fog and drizzle, with beautiful White Flowers gardens behind ancient paths. Both classic and modern, I imagine this is a lady wearing an elegant white or black dress like Audrey Hepburn, holding an umbrella and walking through a flower garden in the rain. Wear Burberry London on rainy days, buy a bouquet of fragrant flowers, take a walk through the ancient streets and you will see how magical this scent is. The whole of ancient, beautiful London falls into your eyes, as if London on rainy and foggy days smells like this.

Rating: 10/10, although the longevity on my skin is quite poor. Every time I wear Burberry London, people compliment me and ask “What perfume smells so good?”. This is my Signature Scent, I hope Burberry never stops producing it!!!

Ninubs

I like it but I can't see myself wearing such a mature and heavy scent. It smells like a woman over 45, in the best way possible , a classy London woman.

Grimdeux

Easy to wear Jasmine that bursts open with citrus freshness. At first it was all jasmine, but still in moderation. Later, I got more of the citrus brightness which really balances out the heavy jasmine and keeps it from getting too intense and weepy (like, say, Gucci Bloom, which is just too much indolic jasmine). Very pretty.

Danifresh

A very successful blind buy. Saw this on offer in TK Maxx for £19 for the 30ml so decided to give it a try. I have many perfumes but I seem to always come back to those with white flowers and in particular tuberose. This is like a breeze of white flowers, a mere hint with a dash of citrus. There is something very comforting about it. It does have a bit of a fresh shampoo scent but in a good way. I am now going to buy the 100ml. A great every day fragrance.

Barbarossa

To me this is a concentrated, slightly sweet and citrusy Jasmine tea in a bottle. Such a nice scent. Extra enjoyable in autumn and spring.
Great protection on me, has a medium lasting power. But I really don’t mind

SugarBiscuits

I have been looking for a feminine white floral scent similar to Ellie Saab for months but didn't want to pay $100+ for a small bottle. But judging by the positive reviews here and elsewhere, Burberry London fit my ideal vision of a multi-seasonal honey white floral which was elegant and professional....all without being offensive. This is beautiful. I will be taking this with me on business trips or meetings. It definitely gives off boss lady vibes.

Suzuzi

One of my favorites!
I love this perfume so much. It gives me classy and playfull wibes at the same time. ❤️

Sillykn

This perfume is more powdery than I'd like. a disappointing blind buy.

M4rkéta

Today mainstream notes that still make you feel very extraordinarily beautiful. I wore it once with a cold limiting my sense of smell. I randomly caught a whiff of the scent and fell in love all over again. The first spray delivers as much as the dry down. Very gorgeous everyday fragrance. It's a little more pricey but there are more expensive perfumes that don't deliver half as much.

Hifza

Oh the sweet London Burberry, suits for every occasion any day any time! It gives me clear and classy London vibes, it's like one cannot ignore the scent and the presence of yours if you are wearing it. The sophistication and elegance comes with it and one can own it with confidence! Love the entire formulation and projection, outstanding fragrance and one of the best!

yayimhere

Ok first of all, I hate roses and jasmine, but for a perfume with both it surprisingly does it well. I'd say though it does feel mature, like a white woman in her older 40s/50s, so I tend to not reach for it much anymore. It is sweet, but for me the roses are kind of overpowering and I don't tend to get anything past the top/middle notes. Doesn't smell very citrus either, almost completely floral for me.

Trexyvexy

so sweet and ambery! such a great sweet blend of florals and citrus. This scent is so nice for anytime, any occasion!

WhiteFlowerPrincess

I can see partially why people compare Burberry London for women to Pure Poison, since they are both white florals and they both have citrusy nuances to them. Burberry London for women though isn't as woody or as citrusy as Pure Poison is to me.

I mostly smell both jasmine and honeysuckle in this fragrance, with honeysuckle being the more predominant note of the two. I get a hint of citrus from the tangerine and the clementine in this but not a lot of it and I can't really smell the rose, peony or sandalwood in this at all. I also have to say that I've never smelt tiare flowers before so I can't comment if I smell it here or not, though I have heard people say it's apparently similar in smell to jasmine? This fragrance also becomes slightly more citrusy towards the drydown on me.

I find this perfume very feminine, elegant and youthful in an innocent kind of way. I could imagine a beautiful late medieval French princess in a wildflower garden wearing this in the spring while all of the flowers are in bloom and the sweet bees and beautiful irridescent hummingbirds are pollinating the flowers. The princess would be wearing a blue dress with a fleur de lys pattern and an ermine fur trim and she'd be plaiting her long wavy strawberry blonde hair, while decorating it with small honeysuckle and jasmine flowers.

I got about 8 ½ hours of wear on my skin and I had moderate sillage, giving me a very nice scent bubble. I got this perfume for a song and it was a very good blind buy at Chemist Warehouse of this discontinued perfume... there was no tester at all but I was able to buy it for $50 AUD! I really wanted a perfume that actually smelt like honeysuckle flowers and though not a soliflore, this comes fairly close to it.

Because of all of that, I'd give this perfume an excellent 9/10. It's a beautiful white floral and honeysuckle girl's dream come true!

Rama Rama

Dear @ Lotte_Liese, thank you so much. Your explanation is truly helpful. Yes I believe that Burberry London gave me such a classy feelings, and it's much more elegant, that what I remember from 10 years ago when I tested it back then. But I needed a help to refresh my memory 😊 thank you again

Lotte_Liese

Dear Rama Rama, believe me when I say that Gucci bloom and Burberry London do not share the same DNA, they are similar in that they both share the jasmine note, but they express this note differently.
Burberry London opens as tangerine citrus fresh and then the two main notes- honeysuckle and jasmine take centre stage. Pink floral notes from rose and peony make appearances but do not overpower the two main notes. The patchouli note is not noticeable until it dries down, but even that is pleasant as it becomes more musky, but still retains its white floral bearing.
Gucci bloom on the other hand is tuberose over done to the point it does not smell like a natural tuberose, there is jasmine, and it can be smelt, but to me it is often overpowered by the tuberose note. Gucci's Bloom was a solid dislike to me, but I very much appreciate the elegance of Burberry's London.

Rama Rama

Please can someone tell the difference between Burberry London and Gucci bloom 🙏
I know how Gucci bloom smell, but as for Burberry London I had it many years ago I don't recall the smell but I remember tons of Jasmine which is the same vibes cross my mind when I hear Gucci bloom a Jasmine bomb so what's the difference?!

joexulaje

If I smelled this without being awate of the notes I could've sowrn amber would be part of its composition! This is a jasmie forward fragrance with a sweet citrusy opening. The clementine is so realistic, it's one of my favorite parts of the fragrance even if you only get it for a little bit. However, the most enjoyable part to me is definitely the drydown, SO creamy!

Because of that warmth I mistook for amber, I had the idea of layering this with casablanca from Swiss Arabian and oh my god, caramel pairs so well with it! It results in a comforting, classy, not too loud, but yet very interesting scent profile.

I get excelent longevity with this perfume, up to 8-10 hours with just 2 sprays. Projection however, I feel is not that great, and is probably closer to a more intimate kind of sillage.I live in a very warm environment (Mexico) and I still wear this during summer wihtout any issues!

All in all, this perfume is a 10/10 for me! For how divine this smells, you'd expect it to be a more expensive fragrance for sure.

Lovescents3

I picked this up for a steal at local pharmacy. It is one of those interesting fragrances that smells different each time I wear it, especially with what comes across in the top. Sometimes it is the most delicious tangerine clementine citrus and at other times the very realistic honeysuckle is more prominent.

Ultimately to my nose it dries down to a pleasant jasmine fragrance. I think it is well blended. The citrus departs quickly for me so it is very much a floral dominant fragrance on my skin.

I lived in London for a time when I was a lot younger and I think there are other fragrances from Burberry that evoke the city a lot more. For example Burberry Brit Rhythm. Burberry London is much more, English garden in the summer sun, scent coming off the flowers, while sipping a delicious orange soft drink, kind of vibe.

I look forward to trying it in the really warm weather because it has poor longevity on me in the cooler weather. Still, a lovely refined smelling floral scent that is worth spraying, especially when it can be bought so cheaply.

Alyssa2912

In my opinion, this fragrance doesn’t match the male counterpart or the design of the bottle. It’s a simple but charming perfume that is very feminine. The jasmine notes make it elegant, but I don’t find them too overwhelming or oldschool. I wish the longevity was better.

scenturian

Nice floral perfume without being over-sweet.
Projects moderately up to 4hs.
Review is not from my skin.

MishaGericke

This fragrance is a lovely choice if you like heady white florals that gets tempered by a splash of citrus. I enjoy this scent in warmer months as I find myself looking for warmer scents during autumn and winter. That said, this is a lovely scent that dries down to a powdery musky scent over time. So if you like white flowers, jasmine, and powdery scent, this one is worth a try.

valentina.marini

same scent profile of gucci bloom, l'interdit, my way, which is all over the place lately.

Eluy

I love the smell, but why on me stay just 5 minutes? Even when I spray it I don' t smell it

lo4

your average strip mall perfume store scent. this is what comes to mind when i think ‘perfume.’ not amazing nor terrible, just a simple powdery floral fragrance.

Jscents39

Was just sampling a ton of fragrances at Sephora and this stood out. So much that I just ordered from micro perfumes to play around with. This is fresh, but far from boring. Opens with fresh and sweet honeysuckle, and has a bit of subtle flirtiness, while still being a sophisticated scent. The musk and sandalwood balance out the fresh and sweet notes. This could be worn any season during the day in my opinion, but I think spring - early fall would be best.

IKA OKTINA BR SITEPU

it is straight up citrus and jasmine in my nose. i didn't get any rose or sweetness. it's a fresh perfume and so unisex in my opinion, may give it to my bf. to have a good longevity, u need to spray a lot around 10 sprays. it may choke you at first but the longevity may be better

Julipet

For me, this is jasmine bomb – on-the-nose, essential-oil level jasmine. Too intense. After a while I can feel honeysuckle and it saves the impression for me. Several hours later, it morphs into tiare with some powderiness from musk. This is a gift for white flowers lovers, and especially for fans of jasmine.

Maybe this one should be worn on rainy days, as many reviews here suggest. Otherwise, might be too sweet. It is elegant and timeless with lifelike representation of flowers, and I do want to love this scent, but I guess I’m not the biggest fan of jasmine – not in this concentration, at least.

London stays on my skin until the evening and lingers in my hair the next morning. With jasmine sharpness gone it’s a gentle and sweet impression. Projection is pretty decent too. I had a chance to smell this fragrance on a colleague, and I caught a familiar scent from across the room, as soon as she entered – sweet and clear, as if wind brought it from blooming shrubs.

Overall, beautiful, but not my cup of tea.

kagumasi

this is such an elegant and regal fragrance. i am getting heavy dark academia vibes from this one. it's something i can see a prestigious student wearing on a rainy day.

the notes are blended perfectly and it's definitely very classy, sophisticated and "serious" while still remaining feminine. ♡💌

celestial

This is one of the most beautiful perfumes I have smelled. The strongest notes are those of honeysuckle and jasmine, and overall it smells like sweet natural white flowers.

Jade-Ange D

Clean powdery and creamy office friendly scent.

It is one of those fragrance that is perfect to be a signature office scent. It is elegant, creamy, powdery and long lasting one the clothes a little bit less on the skin, I always take my flanker with me if I wear at work to reapply it when needed.

The creaminess of the Tiare Flower, Jasmine is perfectly combined to the citruses such as the Tangerine and the Clementine, as well as the pink florals such as the Rose and Peony. Making it a girly woman's fragrance. "Girly Woman's fragrance" by the flowery tone to it, it is not a childhood reminiscent scent or a childish perfume.
Then you get a subtle depth and powderyness with The Musk, Honeysuckle, Sandalwood and Patchouli. The Patchouli isn't strong on the blend, which, once again, makes me enjoy it's presence like in my other perfumes containing a small and subtle patchouli note.

I highly recommend giving it a try, the overall design is simple yet really elegant with that signature Tartan pattern from the house of Burberry. It smells so elegant and feminine you'll be the talk of the office with such an effortless perfect blend.

It is a 7/10 because it lasts less than 3 hours on my skin, but good on my clothes. The sillage is really decent though.

batuhanavci

I've been looking for an affordable white floral perfume for the warmer days of spring and I blind bought this based on the reviews written here. For me, though I smell some citrus in the first few minutes of application, this smells mostly of honeysuckle and jasmine and stays that way for the entirety of its life on the skin, which is 3 to 4 hours. I'm still on the fence whether I like this enough to keep the bottle in my collection. Sillage is great and people said they were able to smell me from a great distance but considering I literally dosed myself in London before leaving the house it would be unusual if it was weak

suzanne_ronald

Imagine jasmine wrapped in a hazy fog of tiare flower, and when your nose goes searching for the jasmine you knew was there (because you just smelt it, didn't you?), you find it disappeared in a licorice-y pool outside the English Gardens while you were drinking orange pekoe...

Aly_03

I think this type of perfume is set for specific moods if that makes sense? It has something very sophisticated, classic and maybe more vintage feel to it? I usually wear Perfumes depending on my mood, and for this one specifically I enjoy it most on rainy days, fall afternoons, or trips to the library. It has something gentle yet very memorable about it, which is why I adore it a lot! However, I can understand the people who are not a big fan of it, as it is a very specific smell that might be too "old" or "powdery" for them. I personally adores it and if you are someone who enjoys sophisticated, calming scents I would 100% recommend it

astralmonad870

I’ve been looking for a good honeysuckle perfume and bookmarked this to buy a full bottle at a later time. I just got into perfume collecting 8 months ago and have plenty of white floral perfumes like Tom Ford Velvet Orchid (magnolia and jasmine), Valmont Jazzy Twist (magnolia and tubereuse), Perris Monte Carlo’s Jasmin de Pays (jasmine), Zara Tokyo (iris), and DKNY Golden Delicious (Lily of the Valley). So I’m not sure if getting this would be redundant for now. I’ll wait until I’ve exhausted one of the others.

Honestly, I’m afraid that this will be a boring mash-up of Penhaligon’s Coveted Duchess Rose, which has rose and mandarin orange, with Velvet Orchid without the rum. But some Burberry perfumes like this one are extremely affordable, as a 50 ml of this goes for £23 on Makeup UK.

Emmouko

This perfume is very elegant and classy ! Perfect for night out
It doesn’t has a perfect longevity but it worths to be in my selection !!

Dori002

It was a blindbuy for me. I love jasmine and this was on sale so I had to give it a try. It didn't disappoint me. Such a lovely jasmine bomb, sweet, mysterious and clean, almost soapy.
The jasmine is very pretty here, it reminds me of gucci bloom, mugler alien or dior pure poison. (Not the whole scent, only the jasmine, these are pretty different perfumes overall.)
Very long lasting, it lasts all day on my skin and the sillage is amazing as well.
It's maybe a bit dated, but in a classy, timeless way.
I wouldn't say it's a safe blindbuy, but if you like jasmine and stronger, sweeter and somewhat clean fragrances you totally need this in your collection.
It's also signature scent worthy as it has the perfect balance and it's versatile.

MichelleOd

perfect every day perfume for me
10/10
smells lush and expensive

Woodamber

I love to wear this one during spring and summer. On my skin it gives an inoffensive scent of sweet tangerine. Which makes me think of a glass of lemonade during a sunny day. Together with fresh florals of jasmine, tiare flower, tuberose and honeysuckle. I always feel quite energetic and optimistic when I wear it. Defintely one of my "feel good" scents. It also has great performance!

amg7613

If you are thinking it’s going to be anything like the pear dessert that is Brit, you are in for a surprise. To my nose, London has a heavy, vintage-y feel to it. It opens with tangerine and settles into clementine, and with having the citrus on top and the middle, you can catch it throughout the wear of the fragrance. Jasmine and tiare flower add a heavy, floral tropical vibe. Sandalwood and patchouli add additional depth. It’s complex for a designer perfume and I enjoy how the notes play out, but not my favorite.

dianaFreebird

Burberry London is such a safe, clean and feminine perfume for ladies. It is my daily going-to-the-office perfume because you only need two / three sprays and it will last ALL day long. Personally I love fresh white floral scent and this is one of my overly used perfume for going out (day and night). Some people hates it for being a granny scent maybe because of the white flowers but for me it smells very pretty & sweet (not sugary sweet which is a plus for me). Great quality for its relatively low price point (compared to other designer perfumes). That’s why Burberry London is a Love for me.

Cheyahhcarly

This smells so soapy, like Irish spring soap. And nothing else. However it does last forever and 3+ days on clothes but I can’t get over the Irish spring in it 😂

Me personally loved jasmine fragrance, and I loved this perfume so much!. The scent is beautiful, elegant, and classy. I think this perfume was unisex? since I'm a guy and wearing this. Totally worth to buy!.

silverlocusts

I am not crazy about most traditional juicy white florals, like gardenia or tuberose, but I adore tiare flower. On its own this perfume is kind of a lot just because it is almost linear tiare with a sprinkling of musk and sandalwood, but that makes it stupendously good for layering. It can brighten up heavier scents or bring them to the tropics. It is pretty by itself, but for me in my wardrobe it really does a lot of heavy lifting to liven up other scents. The tiare note makes me feel very happy though, it is creamy and sublime, almost cloyingly so, yet it manages to stay on the safe side of that line.

Pearlstar

Got myself a bottle recently as I had good experiences with blind buying a few other Burberry perfumes (except for Beat). At first I thought this was a little meh and boring, but I do find myself reaching for this before going to work when I'm not too sure what else to wear, but want to smell professional and polished. So I would regard it as my reliable and trusty work week perfume, with good lasting power and enough interesting notes to enjoy smelling whiffs of it throughout the day. I also like the fabric covering, it's cute, and feels a bit more secure when I'm handling the bottle after putting on moisturizer and won't smudge the glass too!

MauveBee93

Quite simply, this is happiness in a bottle for me. Delicate fresh white flowers sweetened with a bit of juicy tangerine and clementines. The rose and patchouli are almost undetectable to my nose, so if you are usually avoidant of those notes I think this perfume will still work for you! The dry down is a soft floral musk and this perfume has great performance with moderate sillage.

I wouldn’t say that I feel particularly luxurious while wearing this, but it does make me feel classy, fresh, pretty and put together! I personally don’t find this to smell mature as some have stated below, but I could see how this might attract a slightly older audience; this fragrance has more of a classic vibe than it’s more youthful fruity floral contemporaries.

Burberry London is inoffensive, fresh, delicate, slightly juicy and well balanced. Suitable for most occasions and seasons, but really shines in the spring and summer. A little gem in my collection!

terigurl

Very pretty scent. Floral with slightly citrus clean woody musk. I tend to reach for this when it rains for some reason. Great office scent as it's not overly powerful but still long lasting.

Perfumeholic92

Most compliments grabbing perfume I ever wore .

jklovesperfumes

Loved this scent, but lately I find it dated, old scent and a bit cloying. or this could be a problem for people who collect many perfumes… you find others your favorite not until a new one comes 😂 and some of the old ones doesn’t smell like they used to when you bought them. 😬

Maurizia4

A favorite white floral of mine! It's classic for a reason- delicate and feminine, sweet and fresh. Opens very floral (emphasis on white florals) with a hint of tangerine, then it has a clean musk dry down. Longevity is amazing, lasts me for around 6-8 hours.

aiwilo

One of my favorites perfumes. Fresh, floral, doesn't give me a headache. Perfect for everyday use.

Tran Tran

Somehow the floweral and citrus notes make it totally soapy to my skin, as if I just took a shower in a cheap hotel. I tried to like it but really just cant.

KarenDK

I so wanted this to be my new favourite, but it smelled like the cerutter/cigars my grandmother used to smoke, smokey leather. No honeysuckle just this salty smoky smell. Totally not what i expected. Smell stayed for a long time and stayed the same. Maybe just a bad chemistry reaction. So glad I did not just blind buy.

AshBud

This has such a familiar feel to it! Like I've known it before, in a comforting way. The honeysuckle and other florals are prominent. A little powdery in the musk and can come off as mature. But I'm 32 and think it fits my age range well. The tangerine brightens it up just a bit. I could see myself wearing this during warmer seasons for formal or evening events. It is very close to the old formulation of Crabtree & Evelyns Wisteria. If you know that powdery floral, this is what Burberry London smells like.

Kheila

Burberry London is such a gorgeous fragrance!
It's bright and feminine, uplifting and lasts well. A wonderful harmonious balance of fruity and flowery . She's juicy, with the gorgeous sparkly brightness Tangerine brings to any fragrance, along with a very nicely rounded Clementine without the sharpness it sometimes imparts.
These citrus have a wonderfully creamy, almost cashmerian presence.
Playing an equal and oh so feminine part of the main show are the artistically balanced white florals. Good quality Jasmine and Frangipani like Tiare flowers of excellent quality are the lead sisters here, rich and sweet but by no means sickly.

The patchouli is absolutely muted under the rich blanket of long lasting fruity florals. I like patchouli, but for those who don't, worry not, as it is balanced well and plays fair with the sweet musk and rounded sandalwood, making for a fairly linear fade out, although the Rose makes a little more noise here than at the juicy start.

A beautiful fun sweet juicy white floral without being sugary, without being gourmand, without smelling done or generic, and is absolutely not cloying.
It's a bright happy go lucky fragrance.

I have it and love it so much I bought it for my niece, who also loves it.

I think Burberry London is a safe blind buy for a feminine fruity white floral summer/spring fragrance. A crowd pleaser with real character and uniqueness.
Definitely safe to buy for a woman with a bright youthful personality, and at a great price point.

arizonaruby

Really lovely find. I feel like these days you don’t get too many straight-up floral fragrances (they’re usually floral woody, citrus floral etc) but this puts the rose and jasmine at the forefront. Very feminine, perhaps slightly mature but I’d say anyone 25+ can get away with it. Leans slightly more to cold temps but it’s pretty versatile; I could see it in summer or winter and day or night. Great longevity and sillage. Seems to be selling pretty cheap so great value for money.

antonia33

Picked this up by accident, had I tested beforehand, I would have never bought it. Now I can say that I am happy for this accident as it definitely grew on me. For me this will always remain a winter scent - representing the anticipation of the spring and the times the sun grows stronger melting the snow. I don't like wearing it on rainy days though, somehow it feels too much. It is a veryyyy long lasting and mature scent :)

marinejuana

I tested Touch Weekend Her and Her Intense by Burberry and I liked all of them. Now I am eager to test London. Though it is an old scent (from 2006), the reviews show it is still popular. I will edit when I try it, the name London is kinda enchanting

AttePatte

Disagree with ppl calling it mature. It definately suits all ages and I remember the school corridor smelling like Burberry London in 2017. Every girl whore it!
The perfume is very inoffensive and powdery. You can sense the fruits in it, but not in a crispy clean way. I'd say the musk/jasmin/florals are the most outstanding. You don't really sense the citrus notes at all.
The best way to describe this scent is comforting, like a warm blanket.
10/10, this fragrance will forever be in my heart.

GiGiRi

I really want to love this, but it's just so powdery that it makes my throat itch. It does dry down to let the white florals come through, but it has a bitterness to it that I just can't love. It might be the musk. Definitely not a delicate scent at all. Siliage and longevity are great though. An occasional perfume, not everyday.

Sunny_spritz

I started wearing this perfume at 15 years old and still love it 6 years later. I know some people think its quite mature and more stable for 50+, but I wholeheartedly disagree. I think the patchouli and musk with the white florals make it wearable for any age. It's very versatile and inoffensive. This used to be my everyday scent for years. I have always gotten so many compliments whenever I wear it, people said it was addicting. Personally I'm into niche fragrances, but this is one that will always have a place in my collection. If you're thinking about buying it I highly recommend. Maybe do a skin test first, but it's simple enough to be a blind buy (in my opinion).

haleykbhenry

Powdery white florals with bitter musk and very little fruit. It's very mature smelling suitable for someone 60+. The silage is a BEAST and this is very long lasting. Will be returning because it ultimately wasn't for me but please note that if you are looking for a clean white citrus floral please consider Chanel Gabrielle because this is veryyyyy bitter

GladToBeUnhappy4

I may have reviewed this already, but I finished my bottle of this and have to have another asap! I’ve tried a lot of different fragrances since buying this last year and it’s one of my very favorites.
I mistakenly bought this, thinking it was Brit, but the reviews were good so I tried it. At first, it was a strong like. Then I wasn’t sure. It was different than most fragrances I had or had tried. As time went on, I grew to love it. It feels classy and elegant to me. It’s the perfect scent to spray on a scarf or cozy sweater. I think it works for an everyday scent but would be very appropriate for a wedding, dinner with the in-laws, etc. It’s slightly sweet and fruity at first, but not juvenile. It’s cold, but approachable. I thought it would be a spring/summer scent until I read that it shines in cold weather. And it does!
The longevity is about 5-6 hours on me. The silage and projection are moderate. The value is excellent though. Sephora sells a 1.7oz bottle for $85 USD, but you can easily find a 3.3oz bottle under $60. London and Miu Miu led me to discover that I prefer floral woody musks over gourmands.

jklovesperfumes

This is a sharp sweet floral and a classic one too.
Good for going out on the crowd not to offend people with your perfume. An office, teachers enclosed space scent. Classic Elegant for me same as the burberry brit edp and edt; an old all time fave.

jazzfan

I had a vague memory of London as one of those pleasant crowd-pleasing perfumes that I didn't need and certainly didn't crave at the time. My opinion was positive even if somwhat without definition. I like sunny happy perfumes full of creamy white and yellow flowers and I'm preparing myself to the grey cold weather ahead. So I got a bottle of London.

There is a great possibility that it was shaken to oblivion in transport and probably reformulated too. I didn't recognise it at all. I'm still quite in chock, this smells like bubblegum to me. You know those big, pink, sweet ones that are a mounthful, perfect for making big obnoxious ballons that pop loudly an drive parents and teachers insane. You can not behave in civilized manner whith those in your mounth, no matter your age, you feel insolent and bratty and the need to exercise your jaw nearly to dislocation is overwhelming. Yes, those bubblegums. Nothing to do with today's politicly correct spearmint flawored sugar free little, hm, gums.
Tangerine and clementine are lovely, I'm not sure I recognise any honeysuckle or tiare. Slightly animalic and plasticky jasmine adds another layer of irreverence to the mix. I like it, it makes me feel young and punk, but I don't know if I can stand to wear it. I'm not that person anymore. There is still a possibility that all this screechiness will calm down and enter more stirred than shaken state of existence.

AmazonianCat

A wonderful jasmine scent. At times, I also detect notes of white tea, even though they are not listed. Perfect for office wear.

gerjakeszter

The scent itself is my favourite, I adore jasmine and rose, but this perfume is a huge disappointment as it doesn't last longer than half on hour on me. My previous Burberry perfumes lasted whole day, this one makes me very sad.

realitygreene

My first musk love!! I remember being obsessed with this fragrance when it came out. I would go to the mall often and smell all the fragrances at the department store and this one always made me stop in my tracks. There is just something scrumptious and cozy about this white floral, citrus, and musk blend. It smells divine to me! I wasn't able to get my hands on a bottle as a teen, but did get one a few years ago from fragrance(net). I love wearing this scent in cold weather. I think Burberry London for her is often overlooked nowadays. Don't sleep on this super affordable floral musk!

Marie76

This is a light sweet floral, with a clean musky finish, like a more innocent and less sexy Narciso Rodriguez for her. It lasts well on my skin, doesn't project much, so it would be a very safe scent to wear to work or travel with.
Really cozy but fresh and balanced.
A little gem.

palencia

Learning to love this, it’s really pretty and (as a 22 year old) feels nostalgic for some reason. Maybe some older girl wore this when I was young. It’s the first white floral I have in my tiny “collection.” I love everything in it except maybe the patchouli? I’m still learning what I like / don’t like. But like someone said below I love really love it when I pair it with a vanilla.

it's_me_leah

Floral Petrichor

On my skin it smells softly floral with a watery petrichor accord. I didn't expect the petrichor smell or watery notes at all. I don't get any honeysuckle and the citrusy notes are very faint. It is the kind of perfume you wear in summer when you want to feel fresh and miss rainy days. An inoffensive delicate floral perfume suitable for a day at the office.

Atabey_H

Good jasmine-centred fragrance. I find it a tad bit sharp, but I can't complain for the price!

oliviababovic

I wore this perfume in high school, and I remember getting compliments all the time.

A very soapy white floral, this is definitely a fall/winter scent, but it is beautifully soft and timeless. I think almost anyone could pull it off! Not too casual, but still good for everyday wear. This is a perfect signature scent - I don't know why it isn't more popular! To me it is very old Burberry - lots of plaid and khaki colors, classic, almost old-fashioned. I could see someone loving this if they were into that sort of look.

Cristidarling6387

Beautiful . You must like florals to enjoy her. Bright, white floral, that has sharp edges (which I enjoy in this) and there is a detectable juicy citrus undercurrent from the tangerine and clementine. She’s very mature, with a light vintage quality. However, I may not keep this one. Only because I feel this would wear me. It would have to be a special occasion, like college graduation, formal wedding, anniversaries at a five star Michelin restaurant. In conclusion she’s bright, juicy, mature and EXPENSIVE.

anitasaastamoinen

I tested this a few days ago. It's so good that I decided to buy it. Now I´m waiting a package to arrive. On my skin I get mostly tangerine, clementine, tiare flower and some woody notes, in the backround also other flowers. I can smell coconut, I think that comes from tiare flower. Not everyone mentioned tiare flower, but I can smell it clearly. This can be worn every season and every time of the day. Some years ago I didn't like it, but I guess my taste wasn't so developed then, now this is love. I think it will be one of my favourite scents. I have also Burberry Brit for her, it's also very good, but this is better.

Lakreutter

This is so pretty for a floral (I’m not a floral girl). I get honeysuckle and peony with a little musk and citrus. It smells expensive and slightly mature

Lykopa

A slightly citrusy white floral that reminds me of body spray. The tangerine/clementine note is the best part, as it is very realistic, but the rest of the scent is a tad generic. It gets better as it dries down. This would make an absolutely amazing room spray.

mariaakanbi

Okay so...

I ran from this originally because I've been running from London, because I've grown bored of it after literally growing up there and spending weekends right in the centre.

I'm a Londoner but I'm also pretty extra.
And that's why this fragrance is perfect.

The obscene florals, and almost cheeky tangerine... honestly it just plays with you, flowing through and around the honeysuckle.

What people don't realise is that London is pretty humid, so you need something light and breezy to carry you through.

Combined with some linen (linen suit if we're going to work), this is a blast of refined British elegance.

You can dress this fragrance up and down.
It can be trashy sweet, like the old 00s Indie scene, or refined enough to go to an Oxbridge Ball or formal x

LauraSH

This perfume gives me preppy chic vibes. Old money (maybe long lost) and sophistication that sometimes comes with it. When I wear this I feel put together and professional. BUT only 2 sprays for me, this perfume is strong! The scent is light in spirit but has a strong presens.

I get honeysuckle, tangerine and jasmine. For me strong jasmine can be difficult (turns indolic) but in this the strong jasmine stays beautiful. Tiare I don't get, but I think it gives body to the fragrance.

I LOVE this perfume and I will always have it in my collection. I often notice that I smell some white floral scent and start thinking what I would change in it. The result being Burberry London. <3

Katrin77

My first bottle of London is soon finished, and will definitely be replaced. I like to buy a new perfume for every new summer vacation of a certain length, and this one was the one I bought to be my companion to Vietnam in 2019 with my husband and kids. I used it every single day, and thus it became The scent of Vietnam. After the holiday I would give the perfume a short break, and use my other fumes again, and when I after a while pull it out again, I get transported to the holiday destination immediately! You should try that. Anyways, London is for me this ultimate happy, carefree, adventurous, smiley scent. It gives me immediate lift-me-up, and the days when I use it, always become brighter and sunnier.

Burberry London will always have a place in my collection and in my heart.

VargaZsuzsanna

London was my signature scent some 13 years ago. When I first sprayed it on I just knew we were meant to be a couple and that was that. I used it exclusively untill I ran out of my bottle.
A few days ago I saw it online heavily discounted so bought it for old times sake. Note to myself: never do it again! I remembered the scent all wrong. I thought it was patchouli heavy - instead it is flower heavy. I remembered it to be spicy - it is sweet instead. Now I find it too mature and don't understand why was my 33 year old self so smitten with it.
Well, I will try it again when the weather turns cool in autumn as it is mainly a cold weather parfume. The performance is still outstanding tho, London lasts long on the skin with good sillage. It is a pity I don't really like it now.

fishandbear

Starts like a less nauseating Scandal. I tried to spray it three times on my skin to see if the floral notes would appear upon drydown but nope, it's just honeysuckle with sweet citrus growing faint every time.

Zmart4ever

Ok, I wrote My first review after I first Applied “her” and was overwhelmed by this sharp masculine scent.
Once it mellowed it matured into a pleasant modern floral with lasting power and a hint of fruity sweetness. This is a complex sophisticated thoroughly modern fragrance. Ideal for daytime, maybe at the office or just hanging about.
Don’t judge this fragrance without giving it a chance to mellow. It releases its warmer notes, like musk, sandalwood, patchouli, it becomes quite pleasant.
And a little goes a long way. I can see purchasing a larger size

bronni666

I can’t get past the honeysuckle.

2Ladybugz

I'm a huge Burberry fan and liked this at first. I love strong floral perfumes. I had the oddest experience the 2nd time I put it on, I started to pick up on the honeysuckle and couldn't un-smell it. I despise sticky florals, and honeysuckle can be one of them. From that point on I couldn't stand this perfume, all i smell is heavy, cloy, sweet tackiness. Hard pass on this one, it's the only Burberry I dislike this much.

V3ronica

Terrible. I cannot agree with the notes. It smells synthetic kind of gasoline.
Im sorry, i dislike it completely.

blueally

Fragrance for classy, confident and carefree woman, but more 40+ than for someone 20+. Passed to my mom.

They are long lasting. Honeysuckle and tangerine gives the "younger" vibe, but middle notes prominent with jasmine make the scent for someone just a tad more experienced with life than me. Carefree-ness comes from jasmine, too - from my perspective it has tendency to "invite" you to smell the perfume more. It does not have the "suffocating" phase, like Alien has for me.

princesslopez4890

I think I just found the scent of my life! Libre is currently my signature for work but I think it’s about to be replaced with this. I’m definitely getting the honey suckle, the musk & the tiare flower. I also just received narciso edp(white cube) these two together are magical!

Rcates78

This is the third fragrance from Burberry that's gone in my regular rotation in the last 6 months and I have thoroughly enjoyed that they're very much different from one another. The first was Brit - sweetly punchy and unassuming. Then came Weekend (seems like I'll wear anything Nathalie Lorson created) - herbaceous and rainy. Now there's London. I can't speak for how well the name suggests the city bc I've never been, but if this is what it smells like, I'll be moving there shortly.

I adore honeysuckle in perfumes and London begins with a hefty dose accompanied closely by the other crisp white florals. I don't get much citrus, but the rose and peony wander in after an hour or so and turn the floral experience a little less crisp and a little more heady, as the base notes start to become more noticeable and ground the florals in a damp, loamy garden that somehow reads creamy. London remains pretty linear from there, with the white florals hanging out and running the show much longer on me than those from most similar fragrances I've enjoyed. It has staying power and I'll enjoy it as a light floral musky skin scent at bedtime. I'll smell it again when the warm water hits my chest in my morning shower.

There are other perfumes I might love more than London but, for me, choosing the keepers is a balancing act. I don't have an unlimited budget or much spare time on my hands, so respraying hour after hour isn't practical for me. So if I love the frag but it's nonexistent after just a short time, I just can't abide (and don't repurchase). London has become a keeper bc it's a wonderful white floral beast and it lasts, without choking out your companions. It's also been endeared to me by the compliments my children always give me when I wear it. I find it suiting our cool SoCal mornings and warm afternoons very well this spring. It lifts my spirits and lightens my heart so it'll be a permanent resident in my fragrance cabinet.

Melaniesherriff

Very impressed with this perfume. It's a very sophisticated white floral fragrance, clean fresh soapy, lasts all day long and great projection. If you enjoy lanvin rumeur and white diamonds you will like this one too no doubt. This will go on my repeat buy list

bashoori

Not my type Of perfume but it’s still nice. I’m just not into strong white floral.

Tarine

I Love tiare flower and I think it’s good for spring. Fresh and sweet (not like sweets) perfume. It might be coming from smell of orange and other flowers…The scent is well mixed fresh flowerly, fruity scent with musk. I love it. It rests on my skin long…maybe around 5-6 hours. The price is quite reasonable. I got it at pharmacy. Up mood smell 🤗

snowwhite_rouge

LeeloSteelo

Beautiful fragrance! It reminds me of everything I wanted Byredo's ***** Water and La Tulip to be. I will not buy that perfume since I am Romanian and the use of that word is not OK in my culture. This lasts a good 6 hours on my skin and longer on my clothes. Fresh, floral, and citrus all at one time. It is really beautiful and can be found at discount stores quite often.

Nocciola23

This is a beautiful perfume to wear. It's such a delicious honeysuckle, jasmine scent, but it's powdery like sherbet at the same time. The only bugbear I have with this is it's name... To me it is far from London as a city. It's springtime in Sydney with jasmine dripping over fences and bougainvillea climbing up walls. This will be a forever favourite of mine.

Patricia353

On the paper, at first sniff it smells really similar to my way Giorgio Armani. Something 🍇... Not my type of perfume 😕

LindaL100

This is 1 of my fav perfumes ever, I love jasmine and jasmine scented fragrances, this perfume is predominantly a jasmine perfume, the jasmine note in this is beautiful and floral and prominent but not too overpowering at the same time, with a hint of citrus. I find this perfume to be very versatile, suitable for both younger and older women, you can wear it day or night, wear it every day or for special occasions, it really doesn't matter with this particular perfume. Overall this is a beautiful and elegant floral fragrance that's not too overpowering or intimidating, it's 1 of my absolute fav go-to perfumes to wear!

Albedo

This was a blind buy that I desperately wanted — and tried — to like.

It starts off smelling like a pleasant cup of tea with hints of white floral and rose. The jasmine note comes out soon after and stays for the entire duration. It becomes a beautiful and soapy fragrance; it's potently powerful in florals, with just a hint of fruity. And yet, there is something about this perfume that smells somber.

This is what I imagine Lunafreya from FFXV would wear — a woman who conceals her fears and despair with a confident façade. London is the embodiment of a seemingly delicate and kind, yet ambitious and powerful leader who readily makes calculated and convoluted decisions to reach their end goal.

It has a large sillage and is extremely long-lasting. It's fitting for anyone who wishes to wear a strong and powerful, attention-catching fragrance. This is certainly an attractive fragrance on others. Unfortunately, the abundance of white florals is nauseating and headache-inducing to me. I still find it beyond cloying in cold weather. So while I appreciate how well the notes of this fragrance blend together, I cannot stand smelling such a robust fragrance on myself for hours.

Tifffyy

Blind bought this at Marshall’s for $25usd. It is a beautiful, sweet, elegant floral with a little musk and wordiness at the deep dry down. It is very classy and feminine and not usually the type of scent I go for, but I see this being perfect for the cooler spring days.
This is actually quite the powerhouse for a pretty floral, not at all why I expected! I had worn Mancera Roses Greedy today (also a great scent for spring!) and when I opened my Burberry London I sprayed one spray on the back of my hand and it quickly overtook the Roses Greedy! London is all I’ve been smelling since, and it was only 1 tiny spray! I can’t wait to give this a complete wear test!

LeahElskerParfyme

Recommended by some Tiktoker, and I blind bought it, I am a little bit dizzy when wearing this, but I will try it when I travel to countries that have winter.

C. McLeod

I blind bought a small bottle at Shoppers Drug Mart for $20 and was blown away by the warm, feminine vibe. It’s like a cozy hug on a cold day and stays with you. You would never think it was a cheap drugstore fragrance. As soon as I saw another bottle I bought it as a back up.

moonsunstars

Having owned Juicy Couture for quite some time, I can confirm this is close to it. However, I think I actually enjoy this more. Burberry London is all about the Tiare Flower, whereas Juicy Couture is all about Tuberose, Creme Brulee, and Caramel. This is very fresh, and I think I could wear this every day (If I didn't own so many fragrances lol!). Oddly enough, Burberry London dries down to smell a bit like incense on my skin. I love it!

Astrid89

I can imagine rocker girl go classy. Imagine that you go from after party to boring office work and need something to wake you up. At first you will be hit with a tangerine (energy). Then you will start to smell like a cute and smart women (white flowers) and as the day goes on you well smell more musky, classy (and tired)?

For me this EDP is ideal for bad weather like rain or snow because is cozy but gives you some energy to start a day. It's long lasting and does not smell cheap at all. Not my favourite but worth buying.

smellgewd1

This is a gem i found in my mum's collection. This screams flowers and musk to me! A very good combo, a very safe blind buy i can say if you like fresh, flower fragrance. Just classic but stunning!

tyrachai

Oh Burberry! You keep shocking me. This is the second time I have walked past a girl in Target and she smelled amazing- so much I had to stop and ask what she was wearing. The first time it was Burberry Her and this time it was London. She told me they have bottles of this for cheap at places like Ross. I would never buy this from the notes, so I hope this works on my skin.

Jefferson_starkid

I am NOT a white floral fan - I tend to go for fresh greens in warm weather and spicy warmth in the cold - , so I was skeptical about this one. I ended up liking it. There are still days where it puts me off and I recoil from the scent for some reason, but then there are days where it makes me feel feminine and put together and I love it. It's a very weird sentiment that I can't really put into words.

Nannna23

I've used this perfume for maybe 8-10 years, as my primary scent. Now I'm on a break :D
I need something else, but it's hard to replace. It goes with anything, anytime. It's feminine, rich but not too complicated and has given me soooo manu compliments from friends and strangers over time - especially from other women :)

GladToBeUnhappy4

I bought this fragrance during a hot, Georgia summer and read it shines in cooler weather. While I liked it a lot in the summer, I LOVE it in fall and winter. I’ve also read that it provokes feelings of being cozy in a scarf and sweater. I agree, but while it totally works for casual atmospheres, it can easily be worn in a formal setting. This is simple, yet elegant and seamlessly blended. I mostly get sweet florals and musk, maybe a little fruit. Projection is strong but not overwhelming. Silage is moderate as well as longevity. The first few hours, this radiates and around 4 hours it gradually becomes a skin scent. I get 6-8 hours out of this and paid less than $25. This is a classic, timeless fragrance with great quality and value.

Fragrancewonder

Such a classic crowd pleasing fragrance. For me, this is an easy reach fragrance for the fall and winter (as I find this a bit heavy in the warmer months), that smells sweet and floral. I also like to layer this fragrance with other warm sweet fragrances to give it a bit more projection. On its own, it has moderate projection and about 7 hours of wear on me.

Since it's been around for years you can find this fragrance for under $25. I have worn this fragrance off and on for a number of years and the quality of packaging has definitely changed over the years, but if you can get past that flaw, the juice remains the same.

I would recommend to anyone who needs a fragrance that works in all occasions that won't break the bank.

mangooo

A lovely clean & fresh floral scent. I don't really get much of the citrus in this, it's mostly honeysuckle for me during the opening. It's pretty simple but it's a very pleasant floral that would be great for those who tend to find florals to be too cloying. It's a great daily scent. I never smell this scent on anyone so it definitely is "unique" in that aspect.

Arwaiq

This perfume never gets old , My favorite 😍

This is actually a very elegant, classy, white floral, sweet and citrusy, ever so woody fragrance, in the opening, as it touches my skin, I mainly get the tangerine, it is very strong, there is something about it that smells lightly of peach blended in the opening with the tangerine, the honeysuckle is also distinguishable then. As an hour or two go by, i can mainly smell the clementine mixing with all of the previous notes, as well as a faint jasmin and tiaré flower, in the drydown, 4 to 5 hours later, the jasmin is more noticable as well as the sandalwood, it becomes less citrusy and more sweet white floral mixed with musk. Good lasting power, you smell like a flower, as it blooms in the morning and closes at night. Likeable and sexy, sweet, and not overpowering, you won´t scare anyone off with this fragrance. Great for spring and elegant enough for winter.

Picked this up for $20 at shoppers and I am so pleasantly surprised. I enjoy it even more than Burberry Brit which is the only other Burberry fragrance I own but I'm not the biggest fan of Brit (though i don't hate it). London opens as a very strong citrus then I start to get a little masculine vibe, pretty sure its the sandalwood at play. It then drys down to a very warm tangerine/mandarin, lot of white floral with a sandalwood base. A citrus for the fall time.

If you are not one to like strong fragrances I'd pass on this because she is assertive. Despite it smelling masculine-ish in the beginning it’s still feminine because the white floral is super sharp.

Jswizzle1802

Got this at TJ Max for maybe $15. It was a blind buy for me based off of reviews from YouTube so I didn’t expect much tbh. But it was literally live at first smell as they say lol. It’s ALOT of white florals so if that’s your thing you’ll love this perfume, if not it maybe not for you because that’s really all I get, none of the citrus notes. Just a very sweet white floral perfume almost vanilla like even though there’s no vanilla 🤷♀️ . I know its been out forever but I just tried it a few days ago and I love it so far. 8.5/10.

Tshiamo

I wish i could have sampled this before buying but not many retail outlets around me, have this brand. i bought it because it was on sale...Ugh...its okay, i have yet to warm up to it, i bought it for summer but it gives me winter vibes. I am not sure which note i am averse to specifically. Could be the patchoulli or sandalwood. I will try it in winter time and see if i will like it then.

Update : I have come to enjoy this scent. I suppose it depend on my mood. I prefer it on cloudier days. I cant really speak on the sillage considering i did not spray as much as i usually do. It can be a bit headache inducing when done too much. It is a pleasant and feminine floral

RealWen

Not a big white flower fan but love this one. Crispy, cool toned yet rich and welcoming. This always reminds me of one of my old Irish colleagues. I think this should be beautiful to wear in a rainy but not windy day, wearing a black cashmere overcoat, leather boots with heels, walking on streets of copenhagen.

eva.daisy.88

I like this flower scent - it's a bit heavier, so I would prefer it for the evening, or autumn/winter. It's sweet, but not too much. It feels more mature compared to the other more "girly" perfumes I have at home.
And it lasts quite long - if I apply it in the morning, I can still smell the woody tones on my skin later in the afternoon.

birdface

Crisp and clean, richly floral. This is one of my favs and is fairly straightforward.

Rimazy

I like white flowers, but I couldn't adjust to the amount put in this perfume. Just too much.

Edemay

I use to have this scent and I get a clear picture of who I imagine it on
I see it on a young English law student, her family has money but don't flaunt it, there's a refined glamour and allure about her. She can say so many things with just a glance. She doesn't care about the current fads or peoples opinions. She invests all her time into herself and her goals
Many people see her as cold, beautiful, smart but with so much growing to do.

This scent is cold and sharp, not much sweetness going on. It has a 90s vibe to it for sure but doesn't smell too old.
Not the type of scent to just chuck on and go, this scent means business.

pineapplemamba

I love this perfume. In my opinion, I think it smells similar to Chloé EDP at the beginning, but it dries down to something a wee bit more mature. This is very long-lasting as well.

It is a suitable inoffensive scent for the office, formal dinners, or whenever you’d like to feel put together.

Taylormullins

A pretty crowdpleaser and not much else, but that's okay. This is a great everyday scent. We all need something simple and soft, and that's what this is. Pure jasmine in the drydown, which I found dissapointing, but I adore the first hour of it.

nkariem

Love this perfume. On first sniff, it instantly reminded me of a cool rainy day in London. The smell does encapsulate the city. The opening is fresh, but dries down to a cosier white floral/woody scent. I prefer this in the Autumn and Winter and it has become nostalgic to me - reminding me of cold days and coffee shops in London. But it can work in Spring too, because of the florals. I wouldn’t wear this in the Summer.

The scent lingers on my clothes and scarves for a while. Longevity is good.

Soccergreat88

I love this one. I got this at the same time as Burberry Brit but this one is sweeter and more rich smelling in my opinion. It is less spicy than Brit but still similar. It is more projecting than Burberry Her as well and very different to it. I like this one a lot. Easy for everyday wear too!!!

Natalie123123

I got this by mistake. Meant to get Brit not London. This is Splendor by Elizabeth Arden 98%. If you wore Splendor you’ll know instantly!
I have both and love both :)

Annemarie

Enjoyable. I do get the resemblance between this and Juicy Couture. JC does not have the zingy citrus opening that Burberry London has, and which I really enjoy. However as it develops JC takes an interesting turn towards gourmand territory. For that reason I find JC the more unusual of the two.

Luca Turin panned Burberry London but dubs Juicy Couture a 'nicely crafted floral' and gave it four stars, partly because its delicate treatment of tuberose. I think that's a bit unfair towards London. London is a solid three star all-occasion white floral with a very uplifting opening. Not so interesting as it develops, hence the star off from me.

I agree with LT that the plaid cladding is dowdy. It offers the juice inside a bit of protection from light, so that's good. I guess.

StepbySteph

Pretty scent, it makes me happy. however, somehow it has a mature ant/grandma smell to it. I would love to wear it but I don’t want to smell old. I really like it though it last ages on me!

Hello Gen Z — if you want to know what doing teen things in 2006 smelled like, here it is.

Alinany

In the same family as Anais Anais, it is soft but can be quite heady if you overspray. Kinda has a hair dye smell.
Little dated in my opinion but If you like classics you would like this

vanillaorchid

'London' is a white floral fragrance with a slight sweetness due to the fruity notes of mandarin/clementine. I love mandarin in perfumes, even more than the fruit itself, and I'm amazed of how softly it is featured here. This is quite musky, a bit heady, but very clean and charming. If you like jasmin and rose and you're looking for a soapy, clean, and charming scent, I have to recommend this one.

Evenfragrance

This is very light on paper. Couldn't smell it hardly at all after 20 mins. Light, inoffensive, floral musky.

Siducyrian

This was my most recent blind buy (the price was just too good not to) and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. While I'm still learning how to pinpoint each note in a fragrance, I knew right away after the first spray, this was a lovely floral perfume.

Opening with a strong white floral and the tangerine to help even and tame down the strong florals. The strong florals though, makes it sound as if I'm describing a heavy and too cloying of smell, but quite the contrary. I'm unable to pinpoint the rose and honeysuckle as well as the base notes of patchouli and musk. I'm not quite the connoisseur as the majority of people on here. I have only recently began my deep fascination with my perfume collection. This one is a nice light and clean floral after the dry down. The sillage and longevity work nicely on me, both strong, but not unpleasantly. I'm really loving this fragrance. I see where the majority have voted this perfume for a fall scent, but for me it's working perfectly for spring. This may very well work as a signature scent... Works well for everyday where... non offensive and longevity is great. Also, I have to make a comment about the vaporizer... I believe my bottle is one of the best I ever used out of my entire collection perfumes. And of course as someone mentioned below; that "little tight sweater" is perfect for London wear. I highly recommend giving this one a try.

annasarahr121

I love Burberry London! It's a simple, lovely, easy-to-wear perfume. Something in Burberry London reminds me of the tannic note in black tea, lending a bitterness to what could be an overly sweet perfume, like Earl Grey tea with a honeysuckle note. The honeysuckle is a bit artificial smelling, but the artificiality doesn't really bother me, for I've always thought, for example, that Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDT smells quite artificial -- even plastic-y -- but I also love it. I do not see any similarities -- which so many people see -- to Juicy Couture. Juicy Couture (which I also love) is a tuberose/caramel perfume, while London is so much of a jasmine/honeysuckle and Earl Grey tea scent. I'm very curious to smell Gucci Bloom, Jaipur Bracelet, and Pure Poison, because I love Burberry London so much, I think I'd enjoy variations on a theme.

SummerRose

This was a blind buy. It has a sharp opening and it is a bit too floral for me. However, when it settles it is clean, soapy, classy, feminine and long lasting on my skin. I can also smell it on my clothes days later. So, I don't feel able to part with it but the opening is way too sharp which is a bit headache inducing for me. I am not big on layering but I have just started layering it with Michael Buble Passion and I think the combination is quite good as it brings sweetest and tones down the floral and the sharpness. I also LOVE the bottle.

Elsee

Springtime in New Mexico calls for blooming scents. This is my spring love for which yesterday, I pulled it out from the back line of my stash. Still glorious. It just exudes spring flowers to me. AND I just ordered a bottle for $23 at Macy's. That's insane! I actually don't need it ... just yet. But seriously -- $23 is a steal! Ladies, the sale is on until the weekend. Check it out if you love this and grab the deal!

Happy spring everyone. Stay well!!

Madame Veillette

I must say, this fragrance settles on me like Brut Aftershave, roses and... Nature. I LOVE it. Growing up, I lived a second life with my rag-tag friends and a fort in a creek. The boys sometimes wore their dads' aftershave. We explored so many places never sure of a way home; we didn't think of it 'cause afterall, we ran from 'home' every day, simply feeling home together, leaving brokenness behind, entering deep in the bush, surrounded by green and wildflowers, rivers and damp rock, sometimes in places we never found again despite trying; one blanketed with trillium, another enveloped in tall bushes of wild pink roses, yet always surrounded by the scent of Brut Aftershave, warmth, freshness and nature; a scent that also comforts me when I greet my lovely husband as he returns home from cool outdoors in some faded cologne.

While those awkward childhood memories sometimes haunt me and I feel 'em punch my chest, they're also cherished as a big part of shaping the 'brut woman' I am today. I could go on, but after all, it's a fragrance discussion thread.

Now, I always feel strange calling myself a woman at all. I don't really like it, I realize just now. I feel like this fragrance isn't exactly feminine either, and I feel comfortable wearing it. I sometimes feel uneasy in distinctly feminine fragrances, like wrapping a pink fuzz and lace shawl over my worn utility leathers and metal. This, however, when I sampled it, was like finding the right outfit for a strange mood and day. The longer I wore it, the more it 'fit' and fitted pieces of me together.

Anyway, I can hardly wait to have it and wrap myself in something that smells like a big fragment of my 'lost home,' to fit that and me together, and fit into my new world today of fragmented love and light.

Seriously though, flowers and Brut Aftershave. 🖤

LaContessina

I had this years ago, when it was just released.
Bought it on an impulse, I liked the bottle more than anything!
This is warm and very fruity, wild strawberries, plums, a lot of fruit. It is feminine, and I loved it 'cause it reminded me a little of Byzance by Rochas. Heavy on the peony and on the rose and on the patchouli.
I finished my 30 ml bottle but not enjoying it too much, it was too cloying.

I smelled it recently on another lady, and I really liked it on her; it guess it's one of those fragrances that need the correct skin chemistry to work well with.
Huge staying power, not a milestone in perfumery but a nice one.
Superb pacakging (with the woolen checked cloth adorning the bottle) !

I finished a bottle of this. It's a kind of sweet white floral.

americanablonde

I seem to be an outlier here, because this scent barely lasted on me, and I found it to be a tad harsh!

To me, I thought that the opening was tart and a bit soapy, and I was instantly reminded of citrus scented cleaning products. Once it dried down, I did like the scent a bit more, but it reminded me of the perfumes my aunt wears, and therefore it read as a more mature scent to me.

I did, however, like that this was a "cooler" and airier scent, as opposed to the warm scents I'm more used to, but the scent, unfortunately, barely lasted on me. Within two hours I could hardly smell it, unless I had my wrist pressed right up to my nose.

fvnniburberry

this is definitely a mature scent. I just purchased this today, and my first thought was 'omg, this smells just like my aunt'. however, i'm not saying its bad, its just not for everyone. i can definitely smell the rose and the jasmine, but it stops there. I can barely smell the sandalwood and the musk, even when its dried down. this scent really gives me a rich vibe, its very elegant and classy. when i smell this and close my eyes, i see a british rich girl. overall, i think its a great scent, but i wouldnt recommed blind buying it, because its just not for everyone.

Iheartperf

I get the smell of crisp white florals and a fresh Christmas tree smell that is so beautiful and cheery. 10/10

Bergamet

This is a clean woman's cologne with a modern feel. Citrus at the top, white florals in the middle and musk at the base. There are very few naturals in this (if any) but I think it still feels quite fresh. I've seen it around for around $30 a bottle and that price seems right. I think it's unisex, nothing special but if I find myself in need of a simple white floral cologne I might one day pick up a bottle.

WijayantiKusuma

Consider it as a gift for my birthday, i blind bought it, as always. Chose this one simply because it has Jasmine. First spray the oranges hit me the most then the beautiful Jasmine coming out its green not a heavy Jasmine and the dry down gives me a baby powder vibe. I have a feeling i will wear this often since it’s not a complex perfume, very easy to wear although i expected a Jasmine bomb. But it’s still okay, still like it tough.

NVK

As a guy, I wouldn't say this is a "wow" fragrance however, this one has pleasant floral smell. Very feminine. I like this.
My rating: 7/10

aScentBeing

This is the first perfume I ever bought for myself, the bottle itself looks like it’s snug in a little sweater, which is so fitting.

When I first wore it I found the scent very motherly, but as it dried down it became something so much more.
To me, this is a woman walking through an old English museum garden, just after rain. Smell the flowerbeds and blossoms, look at the old gothic architecture, feel the damp dew on the leaves. There’s a clack of nice shoes on wet cobblestone and the feeling of a fuzzy sweater brush against your neck.

It’s classy and definitely floral, but there’s that fresh rain smell mixed in. That feeling your nose gets near a garden sprinkler that I’m not sure if others are getting.
I don’t get any particular flower smell, but the overall scent of a rainy botanical garden (although my nose is untrained).

I could see both young women and older women wearing this, I’d say it fits uni students and older but anyone could wear it if they felt it fits their personality.
I wasn’t sure if I’d like florals when I first purchased this as it was a blind buy, but it’s definitely a safe floral to go to.

Dear Perfumes

I never got past the -in store- testing with any Burberry.

.....that was soon to end when my -now husband- bought London, as his first ever gift to me.
Now I have 3 different Burberry's and planning to buy a 4th one soon.

Back to London now:
First spray yep, WHITE FLOWERS!

Lot's of white flowers, a slight sharpness that would then settle to one of the most comforting floral perfume that I know.
I feel the patchouli, it gives London a sexy vibe and call me crazy but this is just how I perceive it.

London is femininity and white flowers with a comfy - but in the same time sexy - twist!

Wearing this on an autumn/winter, felt good.
Bought myself a second bottle and wore it in spring, it felt even better.

One of those perfumes that are your best option when you are in a hurry and you want your scent to be feminine and flowery without it being offensive to anyone around.

A white floral with just the right dose of *vavavoom* to get you through the day! And it will get you through the day, because it lasts quite a lot thankfully!

johnsond61

Still learning and finding the accords and notes that my nose seems to like and this one ain’t it.

Peony and Rose- remind me of super cloying bath beads that your aunt buys from Avon. You can smell them clean down the hall when she bathes. I’m not saying it smells cheap- I’m saying it smells blissfully ignorant of its offensiveness.

To each their own, but I am thinking white florals- and rose- just will never be for me. Burberry Weekend however, is wonderful, as is the original Burberry for women.

tessadore

This may be my signature scent now - it is so feminine, sharp, and classic. It settled extremely well into my skin - i didn't detect much musk or spice at all it is really sweet but a more mature sweet. It settles as if it could be someone's just natural smell - you know how you walk into someone's home and sometimes their home and all of their stuff just smells like them? This is what this smell reminds me off after it settles. It also has a certain sharpness that I also found in curious by britney spears - haven't worn that since high school! It is a nostalgic smell to me. Needless to say I love it. My husband was half asleep when I asked him if he liked it and he was like "mmmm what is that!" . I don't think it's the sexiest smell like I would pick something else for date nights, but I think it's a beautiful and unique every day smell.

angienotesjunkie

Not usually the type of fragrance I would choose but have been trying to step out of my comfort zone. This is a new, blind buy for me and I already know that I need to stock up on this. The opening is strong and lovely, the florals smell authentic but longevity and projection isn’t great. Yet it was love at first sniff! Why?

My mum lives in tiny village, in a beautiful home named Garden House. She lives at the opposite side of the country to me and for health reasons I haven’t visited her home for 4 years. Due to the current pandemic, we haven’t seen each other since February last year. Anyway, a couple of sprays of this transported me...Never before have I had such an emotional reaction to a perfume!

In one of the gardens she has a table with a perfect view of a bird feeder, which is frequently occupied by wild songbirds and of whole garden. Honeysuckle and Jasmine are planted either side of it, that cover the walls and in summer they intertwine their beautiful blooms in an arch, creating the most gorgeous scent cocktail. Nearby are velvety red and white rose bushes, with a Hawthorn between them. This is where this scent takes me. My mum’s garden ❤️

It may not be ground breaking, or have the greatest longevity or be the best projecting scent ever. For me however, this is magical. My happy place in a bottle.

Yllowstar7

I tried it for the first time thinking I would like the notes. All I could think of was sunflower by Elizabeth Arden? It reminds me too much of the 90s. I cannot stand it. Too soapy and light.

sophiekoss

i can already tell this is going to be my go-to office scent...as soon as i get back into the office! it's elegant, juicy without being too sweet, cozy but not cloying, floral but not in a boring way. it's a bit generic but not in a bad way - the kind of thing where people will probably register you smell good after you walk by without realizing HOW good for another minute. i only get the rainy element if i take the time to sniff it, but it's evocative of the fresh cleanliness of city streets after a good rain. cosmopolitan and more than any other perfume i own, great for all ages!!

dezaval

Absolutely wonderful! So feminine! Powdery, floral, classy, elegant. Like a spring breeze in a beautiful april morning! A must have!

NicoleDiver

A scent that I wore to death throughout my high school years. It's heavy, cosy and it balances the sweet and sour accords nicely. The peony, patchouli and honeysuckle notes are the most prominent ones to me, along with the jasmine. It's very feminine, intimate and slightly intoxicating. I do not have it in my collection at the moment as I have let it go to make space for new scents in my life. I will come back to it though - I've already gone through five 100 ml bottles of this, which likely signifies a lifelong love.

Iheartperf

Signature scent! I usually don't go for florals but this one has tangerine notes that make it juicy and refreshing. Love love.

Jac & Mal

I’m probably a bit biased about this one, as it’s my mother’s signature scent, and Burberry London has an element of nostalgia for me.

I get a mix of white florals and a soapy element (as in a good, light soapy). It’s definitely not a thick, cloying, cake of soap smell.

I wear it occasionally, am nearly always complimented, and I get good projection and longevity.

aqua76239

For some reason I was thinking it had tuberose, maybe because i always seen it refered to as white floral. However, this is more of jasmine scent with woody drydown. Opening is more fresh and floral, but middle notes are my favorite as it smells still floral but it has spicier feel, defnately a jasmine bomb and tiare flower gives it a bit of sweetness. For some reason it reminds me of very soft less potent White Diamonds.
My only regret is it doesn't project well, as another reviewer said.
I see its being compared to original Juicy Couture-i totally fail to see any resemblance

Vardin

I just hate it when perfumes get refomulated!!

This was my HG, been using it for more than 10 years and got so many compliments.

However, I purchased a new bottle a month ago and it has been reformulated. The smell is the same but the lasting power is sooo bad. And no projection at all.

"London" used to be very long lasting. Now it lasts barely 30 minutes.

Such a shame this perfume is now ruined as it is the perfect jasmin.

Edit: just saw the lable on both bottles (the original and the new formulation), as i thought, the original perfume is made in France, the reformulation is made in Germany. So just know if you have the german version is a lot weaker with very bad lasting power and sillage. 😭

melodylim

It has a complicated smell. I did not like it at first because it's kinda overwhelming, but I've started to like it over time. It opens with a slightly sweet floral scent, while the heart and base has a powdery sandalwood scent. It reminds me of the streets in London (perhaps?) after a rain pour. Would be perfect during fall season. It smells like what sophisticated women would wear in the office, as it gives a feeling of maturity.

laurenhoklin

This was my first ever blind buy and I’m not disappointed. It’s a beautiful scent that starts out as a beautiful citrusy floral and dries down to a musky jasmine. It’s sophisticated without feeling like it overpowers me. Good for everyday or a casual evening.

Kiti89

A really nice fragrance for white floral lovers, especially if sweet jasmine is your thing. Inoffensive and safe but the price tag matches that. I found a 50ml bottle for £20 and there's room to say I'd pay a little more for it. I really, really like it. I find it to be classy and sophisticated, great for work and every day but could also make a nice evening scent if you don't want to overdo it. Also lasts a good few hours.

Floreat

I've been on a perfume bender as of late and saw this at my local Marshalls today and thought, "Thirty bucks? Why not?"

I savored the process of opening the package, noted the batch code, gave the cloth sleeve a pointed side-eye and spritzed. Ah! It's Design by Paul Sebastian. Really. It is. I spritzed Design seconds later just to make sure. Yep, the same.

There have been perfumes I've spritzed over the years and said, "Oh, this reminds me of (blank)". Such as how Twilly reminds me of Amarige or Soir de Lune reminds me of Paloma Picasso. Not duplicates, but reminiscent of one another. Like how you can see your mother in your first cousin or your grandfather in your nephew.

Not so with London and Design. They are identical twins. They only differ in their level of comittment and depth. London could easily have been the edt version of Design, as it's gone within a couple of hours. Design will stay until I bathe - and even then there will be a faint trace of it.

I like London - as I like big, loud, over the top white florals on occasion (yes, I'm looking at you Fracas) - but if I'm going to do London, I'm going to really do it and reach for Design. So, if big white flowers are your jam in the form of London, check out its predecessor.

As for my purchase today, London will likely be gifted to my little cousin. Either that or sadly languish at the back of my perfume pantry - until I notice it three years from now and say, "Wow! This is great! How come I never wear this???"

toloneneija

Oooooh, what a great parfum! I love it very much! Why i didn't purchase this earlier? This is very preppy, fresh, floraly and classic. Beautiful!

islandgirlmaranda

Such a lovely, pretty, and feminine scent! Just received this blind buy. This is a very easy to wear well-rounded gardenia floral scent. This scent is well mannered church ladies but in the best way possible, let's say they're young and pretty church ladies! I can't imagine this offending any one unless you dislike white florals. I love white floral scents! Some reviews mentioned grape soda, and it's funny, I didn't detect any of that until I read that review! Thanks! Wink* Still I really like this one and glad I bought it! The scent only lasted a few hours on my skin, wish it had more longevity. This is a SAFE purchase from TJ Maxx or Marshall's for a girlfriend for her birthday or Christmas 🎄. The bottle is cute too with the fabric wrap in the classic Burberry pattern.

Update: Seriously, I can't get over the grape soda now. What happened to my nose? I returned it.

ky4r4

I think this perfume is perfect for a gift or a blind buying. It is simply impossible to dislike. It a classic, timeless pleasant inoffensive fragrance. Not ambitious, quite ordinary indeed, perfect if you want to smell clean and nice. I get the tangerine strong and prepotent in the opening, then a ton of musky jasmine and finally just musk. Performances are moderate, you won't make all day with this but decent for a floral scent and sillage is soft, I would say close to the skin. I am more into strong fragrances so I would not purchase this one again but for who craves for a light, office appropriate scent, this one is of good quality for a very honest price.

Abracadravra

I've bought a LONDON EDP tester bottle(made in germany), it's weird that after I check batch code it says 2009, this bottle age 11 years back but god... it still smell strong

JacquieDS

Tried it for the first time yesterday and fell in love with it

poolsoflaughter

All jasmine in the beginning, but then the musk and sandalwood come forward during the dry down. This just lasts and lasts...so cozy, as some have already described, like a favorite sweater being worn on a lazy afternoon. I find this so comforting, clean and beautiful. This is why I love fragrance...getting to stumble upon gems such as this.

jero

from my cabinet this is the jasmine in its purest form, though a true one, any kind of species of jasmine, is more complicated. if it's a fruit it's like the fresh longan, a far-eastern fruit when it's fall.

PS later, the uitimate drydown other flowers, roses etc., join the party.

pleasuretoburn

This gal has a huge personality. The first time I sprayed it I actively disliked it, but a second spray realigned my nose and I realised that this is a truly feminine, rich, luxurious scent. For me, the tiare really takes precedence with the jasmine backing it up subtly. The citrus dissipates pretty quickly, and then the base notes come through. Like the tiare, the musk is a little bit creamy, which balances the sharpness of the sandalwood and the spiciness of the patchouli. This is a sophisticated, alluring scent, and it feels like it could be equally wearable to a dinner date, an afternoon meetup at the coffee shop, or spritzed on your favorite sweater during cooler months. I don't think I would've automatically gone to this one first in spite of my love of the warmth & approachability of Burberry fragrances, but I am glad to have it in my collection. My main gripe with Burberry is that they tend to list peony among the notes in many of their fragrances, but I don't get much peony from any of the EDPs I have tried; it feels like it is there, but pushed into the background by stronger, warmer notes. London is a surprise winner for me, and it shows me again that Burberry fragrances are ones I should pay more attention to.

elliya1980

This is not my blind purchase and I really like this fragrance from the first sniff. This is fresh, clean, white floral, and elegant. Sweet but not gourmand scent. Great for use at the office. It's quite long last on my skin.

Viktoria8267

I love this brand, this perfume is nice, rich, lovely, sexy i wear it all year around. At work they say i smell good when i do wear this.nice bottle, cool.

master81

Is this discontinued? I can't find it anywhere in sydney.
Thanks

amandakk

Sooo comforting :) The top notes smell exactly how you'd imagine it to smell. At first there's a blend of jasmine tea and honeysuckle followed by a slightly bitter rind of tangerine that maybe has been left for one too many days (but just a hint of it).

To me, this perfume is very nostalgic for me as its really reminiscent of my childhood. When I was in public school my friends and I—or should I say practically all the girls cause everyone was friends with everyone back then—would go over to the house with the overgrown honeysuckle bush and pick some flowers during recess. We would crush the petals just to sniff their aroma...it was sooo addicting! When I think back to that memory...maybe we shouldn't have done that but I'm sure the neighbors didn't mind too much—the bush was massively overgrown anyways!

Kinda wished I bought a third bottle of this perfume before it sold out...it was a stellar deal ($20 for 30 mL) at a very reputable department store. I went back to check its availability and it's sold out already...darn it. Glad I have a second bottle on hand though!

NOTE: I may be somewhat biased because honeysuckle is very nostalgic for me. But nevertheless, you can't deny that Burberry London smells warm, cozy, and delicate...the perfume really does fit the Burberry brand! Just think of a well mannered and put-together lady with a Burberry scarf, and then you'll get the image. If it also helps, this perfume kinda smells like Gucci Bloom but replace the Tuberose with some more Jasmine and add some musk to give it more pronounced depth!

I will have to come back another time to write my assessment on the perfume's longevity and siliage.

Ok, with all that is presently going on in the world - I've been on a quest to find some "Happy" smelling perfumes, something to lift my spirits.

This is when I began looking for reviews of fragrances that reminded people of SPRING, an optimistic vibe.

First impressions of Burberry's London --
the fragrance notes (not taking into account the name of the fragrance or the packaging design).
This smells like Sandra Dee - played by Olivia Newton John in Grease...
The Sandy BEFORE "the rocker chic" transformation!
This is sweet, fresh, upbeat, a pretty girl - someone who is every boy's High School crush. The darling of the school.
Someone playful and sweet - someone that has the heart of spring.
If I was not influenced by the plaid packaging design and the name -
I would imagine this bottled in something fairly romantic with a spring time air about it. The smell reminds me more of the color yellow and the light pastel colors that Sandra Dee wore in the movie. This has an incredibly fresh, just from the flower garden vibe about it.

Honeysuckle!
Yes.
This is Honeysuckle - exactly like the flowers in the garden next to my grandmother's home that we would have an incredibly fun time stopping by and taking turns smelling the sweet nectar...hoping not to get caught by the neighbor! Great memories!

England is well known for their gorgeous country flower gardens and this is leaning more along the lines of a beautiful secret garden hidden away in the bustling city of London.

In New York City, one of my favorite places to visit was the Frick Museum which had some fabulous art work collections, however - my favorite room at the museum was this gorgeous fountain room which I used as a way to gain clarity in meditation when I would feel overwhelmed by all of the city noise and energy.

I could imagine finding a beautiful garden area within the city of London, this is like a beautiful hidden garden - a magical place within the city. I could see this marketed more with an enchanting type freshness to the design. This fragrance has a lot of Tinkerbell in it! It is magical! I truly love the freshness of this. It is beautiful, like smelling the fragrant notes that surround a Honeysuckle bush!

This is in the same type of fragrance family, similar vibes to my all time FAVORITE fragrance - Eau de Ciel, by Annick Goutal - which is also very fresh and would smell like a country farm after a spring shower. It is lovely also!

I truly love and adore London. That was a fabulous trip for me, one that I'll never forget! The name "London" has positive memories for me. I visited London around the year 1989 and had a great time going from Hartley Whitney Hants (where we were staying in a cute cottage style home next to an adorable soccer field and small town carnival) to London on the train. It was a beautiful day celebrating the summer. The whole experience was wonderful. I had always heard of London, but by taking the trip there - it confirmed that I really loved London. The whole experience was fun, I had a great day looking at Buckingham Palace, visiting Piccadilly Circus (which is London's Time Square), seeing the cute shops, visiting London Bridge, and seeing the Royal Crown Jewel Collection.

The couple that we were staying with knew about the Royal carriage rides to Ascot along a country road where school children would go to watch the entourage. We made a special trip there where I saw Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, Princess Anne and other royal family members on the way to Ascot! This was so fabulous! Of course, I just loved it! It was really fabulous to be able to see something like that! Very memorable! Loved it!

London became one of my favorite larger cities that summer, I much preferred it to New York and Paris. I had a great time hanging out with a group of tourists that I met while on the train that day. It was super fun, so the name London will always bring up positive impressions for me! London became one of my favorite larger cities that summer, that day.

Burberry's London fragrance reminds me of Titiana and Alfred Sung - Sung. It has been a few years since I have tried either of these fragrances, although each of these had notes that I loved within them - there were some reasons why I never repurchased them. Burberry does fragrances in a classic way. London presents in a way where it has taken out the notes that I objected to in the other two fragrances making it much easier to wear. You can still smell individual notes within this chord, but there are no screeching banshee notes which make you stop and think before wearing this out of the house.

This fragrance registers in the Soprano range with high clear notes and is definitely SPRING, but is not up in the rafters with piccolo notes like Fracas, Madonna's Truth or Dare, or Eternity by Calvin Klein.

I just received my order in the mail and I'm trying this fragrance now.
The plaid fabric bottle design is something associated with Burberry's design selections and resonates with a scarf that you'd wear over your trench coat. They have glued the fabric on the bottle and this is part of the design. This fits their brand...I love plaid, and this resonates with the Burberry trench coat designs. Burberry has recently changed their package designs, so this fragrance bottle may have had an update.

The fragrance is good, was in the price range that I was seeking.
The star of the show is the honeysuckle fragrance! I love it!
It is uplifting, feminine, fresh for the spring and summer.

So far, so good --
This wears politely.
It is not a screeching loud scent that knocks people over - it is pleasant, polite, sweet, and upbeat.

I'm liking this very much, so far --
Will see how long this wears!

This fades fairly quickly, if you find that this is your type of fragrance, you may want to search for some purse size sprays or samples to carry with you.

This is a nice, clean, fresh everyday type fragrance.
You'd like this if you are wanting something pretty, unobtrusive, and polite.
A good office or school type fragrance, not many people would complain about this because the silage is respectable, it won't leap out at anyone, it is very nice to wear. Upbeat, sweet -- this is definitely something to lift the spirits!

I feel that you could also layer this with different notes to make it last a bit longer on the skin.

It reminds me of a beautiful fresh country garden hidden away in the heart of London. If this were a character, I would say that this would be Olivia Newton John playing Sandy! Exactly!

This is very similar to another one of my very favorite perfumes, the original David Yurman (in the gold bottle). I didn't even think of this, till wearing London a few days...because these two fragrances are marketed and packaged so radically different. However, they are in the exact same chord range... a soprano, (but not up in the Fracas, Madonna's Truth or Dare, Calvin Klein Eternity -- piccolo, tuberose, rafter range). London is the fresh version of David Yurman. David's version has more of a chemical composition and wears stronger than London, it has an effervescent bubbly champaign vibe to it. But they are both the exact same register and chord. Love them both! If you like this particular range of notes - you could wear David Yurman for more formal date nights and special occasions - and wear Burberry's London for your every day fragrance. They could both be a "signature pair". Subtle differences, but in the same exact signature zone.

I'm so grateful that I followed my intuitive hunches and ordered Burberry's London! It is a great spring and summer choice! Love it!

this perfume is the feeling of a chilling late spring rain captured in scent form. it's a little sharp and cool, but with a smoothness that reads as clean, calm, and kind. it doesn't last very long, which is devastating.

on my skin it's all honeysuckle, the kind i used to pick and suck the nectar out of. i absolutely love it.

The blend of white flowers is very potent. It is a classic british fragrance. I you're looking for a fresh and airy crowd-pleaser floral, just know that this is a strong one.

I'll admit that it is lovely but when I made it smell to my my mother and sister, they backed their head up saying "woow this is strong" but not in a negative way.

Likable and classic but defenitely don't overspray.
