Someone gifted me a 90ml bottle of this perfume because I adore peach and amber in my fragrances and they though I might appreciate it better since they barely wore it. The bottle is from around the year is was released, its almost full and the liquid became darker. It still continues to be such a beautiful and deep scent. Very ambery and peachy but in an elegant way (on my skin it kind of reminds me of a warm dark brewed peach tea?). Its perfect for night time in fall and winter.

It smells like Arabic perfume

Blind buy, now that I’ve smelled it the mixed reviews make sense. To me, this gives the impression of classy Fruity Pebbles. There is an astringent quality to it, that when I over sprayed on my arm, smelled like nail polish remover. It’s the same astringent smell I get from Cartier La Panthere, Cartier way over does it, the fruity sweetness in MBB balances it. I don’t think it’d be too sweet for anyone under 30 who came into perfume since the creation of Ariana Grande perfumes. I think it’s sweet enough to be feminine but far from tooth aching. There’s a little bit of powdery-ness, it’s tolerable and lends to the classy vibe. I think if you like Rihanna Reb’l Fleur and Mugler Angel edt (2019), you’ll like this, they’re similar in texture and patchouli. A strong like for me!

This was an impulse buy that worked out. I really like it. Fruity, floral with beautifully balanced rose and patchoulis. Really nice fragrance

The Scentimentalist

I am a big fan of Kurkdjian but this one is probably my least favorite. Pros: very diffusive so great sillage and longevity. Cons: too much synth peach, very humid, feels like being trapped in a steaming hot shower with a strong shampoo scent in the air and can't get out. Smothering synth peach.

Maya lilac

Before knowing worldwide fame and popularity with Baccarat Rouge 540 and Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait, Francis Kurkdjian used to be a prolific perfumer. Has created so many wonderful deep, rich, ambery fruity florals for underrated brands like Nina Ricci, Elie Saab, Narciso Rodriguez, Kenzo, Jean Paul Gaultier or Burberry to name a few I’m familiar with.

My Burberry Black illustrates perfect the idea above. It’s another masterpiece level type of scent created by him this time for Burberry London.

This scent embodies the idea of a intoxication scent. It’s so rich, strong, warm, fruity, syrupy sweet, rosy smelling scent with hints of earthy patchouli. Everything is balanced and blended so smoothly but creating somehow something addictive and dark. This is indeed My Burberry but on steroids. Everything is amplified and amped up to the max to create an absolutely intoxicating, seductive smell.

The most prominent notes notes in this is a very juicy, syrupy sweet peach, dark red rose, warm amber and green, spicy patchouli! For a chance, I do not notice the jasmine in a fragrance where is listed! For me, the stand out floral in BB is rose.

Burberry Black is a fall/winter perfume with phenomenal performance that was sold fairly inexpensive when it was launched. I am not aware if it still selling in 2024, but this smells glorious!

TheCandyperfumegirl

Master Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian along with Christopher Bailey created My Burberry Black back in 2018. Together they brought this captivating scent to life, capturing the essence of a modern, sensual, confident and sophisticated woman. Their expertise and creativity shine through in every aspect of the fragrance, from the carefully selected notes to the overall composition. It's truly a masterpiece!

My Burberry Black is a captivating and sensual fragrance. It combines the rich and intoxicating scent of jasmine with the sweet and warm notes of candied rose and peach nectar. The fragrance also has a touch of amber and patchouli, which adds depth and a hint of mystery. Overall, My Burberry Black has a luxurious and sophisticated aroma that radiates confidence and allure.

My Burberry Black is a long lasting fragrance. It usually lasts almost the whole day on clothes and on skin for a decent amount of time. It creates a beautiful Scent bubble and leaves a beautiful Scent trail too. This is so captivating and attention-grabbing that it makes people turn their heads to catch a whiff of it!

My Burberry Black is more suitable for cold weather like winter, fall or monsoon. Its rich and intense composition creates a warm and cozy feeling that pairs well with colder temperatures. The depth and complexity of the fragrance are particularly enjoyable in cooler weather, as it adds a touch of sophistication and elegance to your overall scent.

Overall it's a fragrance for special occasions or date nights. This will lift up your mood and make you feel confident, irresistible, and ready to conquer the world!

AmieClay

My nose is very undeveloped since I am new to the perfume journey. I can't discern individual notes most of the time; I only can get an overall sense of something (it's floral or sweet or powder stank).

My Burberry Black was... unpleasant. I got something antiseptic... then cat pee? ammonia?? that slapped me in the face with ugliness. Overwhelmingly pungent. Other reviewers smell florals here? Fruits? I'm a broken person I guess because this is a garbage scent to me.

selfishxromance

I wore this today to the doctors and she asked me if this was coconut based, as she would smell coconut in it!! lol, it never happened to me before and I see that is not listed on the olfactory list 💖😂😂

Tigerlilley9

It smells like the inside of an expensive leather purse or satchel. I don’t know what that means. It was just an image that came to me while I was smelling my wrist. In any case, it is a compliment.

I put this perfume on when I got out of the shower over 5 hours ago and I am still catching whiffs of it. It’s an interesting perfume. It has settled into being sweeter than what I usually go for, but somehow it isn’t sugary or cloying. To me it is unisex. It is not aggressively masculine like a lot of scents marketed towards men, but it doesn’t smell overly feminine or “girly” to me either. I imagine the person who wears this is emotionally mature and responsible… and owns an expensive leather bag. I want to ask them what law school they went to.
It isn’t a “I’ll-die-if-I-can’t-smell-it-again” for me, but it’s good enough to go in the rotation. The hunt for my signature scent continues.

Iconic'80s

I liked this at the store more than anything else that I tried that day so I bought a large bottle.
Now that I have it home and have been trying other fragrances more I'm liking it less.
It seems a little department store-ish to me, which is not to say that it's bad or anything-it's actually quite nice.
It's just that I think I'm starting to be attracted to more complex scents recently.
This is warm on me, slightly sweet without being cloying and the tiniest bit spicy.
The weird thing is that every once in awhile I will think that I smell the slightest hint of cigarette smoke on top of sweet cologne. It must be something from my childhood from a day when most adults smoked and women were very free with the fragrance application. It's not a bad memory, in fact it's quite nice, but weird just the same.

Edit: a couple of hours in the base notes are all that remain for me.

2nd Edit: Apparently layering this with Versace Crystal Noir on top is a real attention getter. Wore this tonight and several people commented on how good I smell.

EvaNicoleFragrance

Love this on paper, but on my skin it turns musty and dank. Nina Ricci L'exstase and Kayali Elixir 11 both did the same thing on me. Sadly, I'm afraid this approach to heavy patchouli just doesn't work for me.

TheDeleeShow

Yet another blind buy for me. I figure anything that has a black bottle must be great... I have been proven wrong a few times... however, this wasn’t one of those times! I enjoy this scent and although not one of my absolute favourites, I receive quite a few compliments when wearing it (so it must be alright).

I tend to veer towards spicy and rich scents, more than sweet - but this has a great mix of both. It remains fresh smelling, while having a nice spicy undertone. I would wear it when on a date - so I have a small chance of not intimidating someone with a stronger/richer scent. I wear this with black turtlenecks and jeans, with my tall winter boots.

Kiksms

Is it a safe blind buy?

bellaisafraghead

had potential if the patchouli wasn’t so in ur face

jadepo21

These reviews sound like they are referencing two different scents - a syrupy sweet peach or a dark, ambery patchouli. I get the latter. To my nose, there is little sweetness here, just a rather warm and deep fragrance that leans a little too masculine for my personal taste. It’s a delightful scent and there is a lot of sensuality to it. Sadly, just not my vibe.

DreamInCream

Warm, spiced candied peaches. Jasmin is very creamy and soft in the opening and the heart. Making way for softly, spiced peaches that become warm and sprinkled with candied rose petals. No artificial or plastic fruit here. Just delicious!
Loving this cozy underrated ambery gem. Nice black bottle with a big tortoise button cap.

Pez_Enelrio

I prefer the original as that smells more classy and elegant, something i expect burberry to bring to the table. However i find myself liking this one whenever i get a sniff, it is rich and deep, has the DNA of the original but wilder and more sensual. Like My Burberry crossing the sea to the colonies to come home tanned and full of adventures

Dani C.

My Burberry Black has Francis Kurkdijan's signature jammy rose. So much so that at first spray it reminds me of Oud Satin Mood almost immediately. But in the dry down, they go in totally different directions. My Burberry Black is way more fruity-floral whereas OSM is a powdery rose with smoky woods. Both exude the same elegance and perform beastly.

SaraSmellsGood

Just got this today.. it smells nicer once it settles into the skin 💕 my nose detected peach, jasmine and patchouli at first.. it smells like a scent that I want to buy time and time again, so classy and sophisticated praying they won’t discontinue it :(

Thykes10

The opening is mainly subtle peach and light florals. There's a fruity sweetness but it's not cloying or overwhelming because it's balanced with the florals. I am not a big rose fan but it's not prominent to my nose. The drydown has a cozy feel with a slight sweetness. Like a sophisticated sweet amber. Compared to the original, this has more amber. I detected the patchouli more on my first test but am not getting it much the second time around. The amber I think is the star of the show to my nose. The best I can describe the vibe is candied sweet amber? Definitely better suited for cold weather- I could see this being cloying in the heat. Great longevity- strong projection for about 5 hours, then moderate until the 8 hour mark.

candi_n_spice

This one is delicious, have sampled a few times, and definitely would like to own a bottle eventually. Realized tonight that it reminds me of a discontinued 90s frag I sampled and enjoy, Gucci Accenti. Except, I like this one better. The Accenti basically has all the same notes as this, plus more. It has a soapy quality, which isn't my favorite, probably from the jasmine and lily of the valley. The jasmine in MBB doesn't have that quality, this frag is more full on gourmand, but still floriental. Peach and rose are two of my favorite notes, and prominent here. Amber and patchouli make it a little more dark and sensual. It does have a juicy fruity quality, but feels more refined than something from the Juicy Couture line or Escada etc.

loverstigmata

I first smelled this back in 2017/2018 and for many years couldn't find it or just put off buying it. I finally was able to get my hands on it again and it stood the test of time as it still smells amazing. Definitely gives you confidence, gives me mysterious vibes.

Abike

A juicy peachy fragrance with amber and a beautiful and smooth patchouli dry, I recommend this perfume if you love juicy and fruity scents

SaraSmellsGood

@sweet69 Thank You So Much!!! You just sold me the perfume thanks 😊

SaraSmellsGood

Does this smell like Fenty perfume to any of you?

L'Homme Vert

I have a large 90 ml. bottle of this in parfum strength, made in France and according to the batch code produced in early 2016 so one of the very first batches I believe?, it also is presented as edt & edp, this is where the confusion started with me and I must say this juice is diabolically monstrous but in a very good way, reminds me of those rapturous chypres of Hollywood lore, this is powerful stuff folks, one spray and my sinuses cleared immediately let me tell you, the patch used here is almost caramel sweet & possibly a molecular distillation or absolute/extract as I've never smelt a fruitchouli like this before, the jasmine is to my nose a touch synthetic as well and the peach note is reminiscent of Badgley Mischka's first foray into perfume, a peachy liqueur in a fashion, all in all a behemoth fragrance and one that I'm more than happy to add to my ever burgeoning pile of standout favorites, but go easy on the trigger finger for fear of suffocating all within close proximity, y'all have been warned, I fear too that this could be headed for discontinuation, hope not!!!
PS. I also made the mistake of thinking the MBB Elixir de Parfum was the same fragrance as MBB Parfum, they are two completely separate formulas & launched independently of each other, as I live and learn, it's not easy being a perfumista 'lol'

disintigratedwoman

A sophisticated peach-rose-amber bomb that makes you feel like a million bucks. The kind of fragrance you wear when your hair and makeup are done up, and when you're wearing your chicest, most expensive clothes. Definitely for a woman who wants to be noticed. Given its depth and strength, this is best worn during fall/winter or evening. I sprayed a small amount on my wrist three hours ago and the scent is still filling up the room. Despite being quite strong, the notes are super smooth and well blended. Truly a well-made fragrance (and beautiful bottle too). It's too bad to see it being taken off the market!

Edit: after wearing this for 12+ hours, my view has changed - it’s such a strong scent that doesn’t seem to let up. There’s also a note in this makes my stomach turn (possibly the peach). For anyone who owns this scent, I caution to use it sparingly!

SaraSmellsGood

I pray they don’t discontinue this one

Nawaf.669

From a man humble opinion, this is the best fragrance for women, I knew it from 2018 and still the best. any women looking for a high quality and feminine laxuary scent just go for it, only 3-4 sprays is enough, it’s lasts soooo looooong 10/10

Scentfrommanna

This is gorgeous, I think I read somewhere that they were trying to evoke the feeling and smell of an English garden after the rain and I really think they nailed it with this. Love to wear it on rainy autumn days.

Rich, peachy, rose. I’m a sucker for a peach and rose combo (I love Gucci Rush and Ghost).

Unfortunately Burberry perfumes never last on my skin and this was no exception, so I will not be buying a full bottle sadly.

Admw

This is similar to gucci rush for me, I already have gucci rush so I don’t need this..
It’s mysterious and playful, it’s loud and maybe a little bit “barbie” and synthetic, it’s just a like for me.

craquelcarrera89

Siv7Stars

Revisited in the chill of winter this has morphed completely from plastic peach abomination to something sheer, smokey n sophisticated. It's now become interesting. Still not sure about it but it has much improved.
Addendum: On the hand, after a while I realised why I found it 'interesting'. I was trying to work out what I was smelling.. it wasn't unpleasant but oddly familiar.. ah yes, a packet of fresh nappies, just opened. Er. This note overpowers on occasions & while I have fond memories of baby time, not sure I want people to be smelling this coming from me now. This perfume really reminds me of how some people's whole house ends up smelling when they have a baby. It is an ambiance. I will keep this after all, but doubt I will wear it in public.

Dimanta

One of my favourites from the moment it came out. I was actually in London at that time and walked into Harrods store where they were giving out Burberry Black scented ribbons and a key chain with your initial letters. I fell in love with this perfume right away. It’s super sexy, smokey, mature, deep, ambery scent. I can’t smell any of specific notes in it, I just think - sexy, smokey… little bit sweet. And yes, it’s very strong, long lasting perfume. One spray lasts all day for me, especially on my clothes, hair. It will fill up the whole room and you will smell it later on. If you spray the perfume and walk into an elevator, this elevator will smell like Burberry Black for few hours. I have had people complimenting my perfume or just asking what is that perfume.. just coz it will be noticed for sure. I love it, and will always repurchase it. Must say, it’s more likely be used in colder months, I think winter and evenings.
I must add - the base notes are less smokey and more settle. It reminds me of Burberry Blush a lot.

ellizam

“My Burberry Black”… we had a bad start together. I wanted the elixir (and paid extra for this unicorn flanker). I got My Burberry Black parfum. Before getting the not-elixir I got samples of the parfum (only formulation it comes in - there is nothing out labeled EDP, only parfum or no concentration specified). The opening is not good on my skin and as part of my complaint about the falsely advertised Not-elixir, I wrote scornfully “I would NEVER get MBB parfum!”

We live to regret our ire. I tried a parfum sample to make sure I hadn’t gotten Not-elixir wrong and after a few hours I was smitten. I fought it. But “My Burberry Black” turns out to be one of those extraordinary fragrances that just keep unfolding, one subtle shift after another, all day and sometimes even the next morning.

So, first you may well hate the opening, and on some level maybe you should. It opens as trite two-tone floral/fruitcholi. The boring generic patch, sugared, floral notes…. Grit your teeth. Wait for it.

Over about 10-20 (+/- 5) minutes the boring, sometimes slightly urinous (it’s the patch) start backs into a complicated movement of aromatic top notes: an extremely lovely jasmine, a beautiful rich rose, high floral bergamot (I know, but I’m smelling it). It also simultaneously drops a comfortingly rich, old school, soapy patch base. The two themes twist, separate, join, and are glorious - a sweet, rich rose/aromatic airy rose/aromatic florals/old school soapy wood base.

So. Gorgeous.

morphoevgenia

This is canned pineapple for me. I don’t feel the mentioned notes. The same I got with Sì Intense 2021 Giorgio Armani. The fragrance is linear and staying power is eternal, even after shower. I will wait till October, try different options with it, but if it still pineapples, I will sell it. For now, I am disappointed.

Upd. Almost 6 months passed, and in December it is clear than ever that I have to find it a new home. Sickly sweet, overbearing pineapple. There are just too many perfumes I enjoy without extra fuzz or preparation, so I don’t see the point to try figure out the way to like something like My Burberry Black.

sweetlikecandie

this is a very syrupy, thick, patchouli-rose, peach combo wrapped in rich amber. It does actually smell a lot greener/earthier than i was expecting, which I'm assuming is from the patchouli. its not bad, but i only wear this during winter and night time. It is intense. Francis Kurkdijan never misses, and this is a great fragrance - but wear with caution and put those joggers on, you will have people chasing you up the street asking you what u are wearing.

Siv7Stars

Slightly smoky plastic peach, reminds me of a lilo baking in the sun after being in the pool. But not as nice. My skin renders this the epitome of cheap n nasty. I've tried it multiple times but I give up now. Anyone in the UK wanna swap?

bel.gravia

This is fantastic, an ambery strong peach. Like an elixir or a potion.

Sasspergers

For me, this scent is like a secret weapon. It's sexy, it's provocative and it's powerful. The sillage is brilliant and the longevity is just sublime. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you want to get noticed, this scent is the way to do it.

vixxiimcmlxxxvii

Every time I try to review this, I am at a loss for words, and no matter how much I type, I end up erasing it all because it just doesn't explain my feelings and thoughts well enough. I felt I should at least put that here, I think it speaks volumes.

My biggest heartbreak yet: finding out this was discontinued--that is not an exaggeration. Thank goodness I'm fortunate enough to have backups, and wise enough to use her (somewhat) sparingly.

that1makeupgirl

A beautiful, confident winter fragrance filled with amber and inoffensive but present-patchouli. I smell peach, but only minimal. It's confident, it's rich, it's comforting yet far from boring.

spellbook.soaps

This scent is ruining all other scents for me. What used to be my unicorns became bathroom sprays after I discovered this. I also have and love the Blush from this line. They are the perfect pair— one for warm weather, one for cold. I feel amazing wearing this.

LSAUG

I think @Lotte_Liese summed it up brilliantly. Peaches, Amber, sophistication. This is absolutely stunning! It won me over upon first sniff I knew I was going to buy a full bottle, don't even have to think about it. You really have to love vintage style fruity ambers to love this perfume. This really reminds me of something but something I smelled like a long time ago, something from back in the 80's or 90's and on someone else that I can't remember and probably didn't know. Like something I smelled on someone at the ballet or theater. This is so rich, so sophisticated, so voluptuous. Warm, inviting, sweet, almost too much but damn you just have to wear it you know what I mean? Like the no perfume crowd or the "ethereal" perfume crowd (and I wear those type of scents but sometimes you just want something w/ some real body and depth) can just eat my dust because when you wear this you will feel every inch a woman. If you love vintage style, love the 80's and loved BIG perfumes this is for you. But you have to love perfumes that go way overboard, if you can't handle that vibe this isn't for you. For those that are the more is more. Not for the more is less crowd. Overripe and voluptuous.

feuermaiden

Hard dislike.

I really don't get as much peach with this as I get jammy rose and patchouli. I can detect the peach note, but only slightly and it's overpowered by the ambery, deeper notes.

It's certainly a darker fragrance, but not in the best way - it's very mature leaning and is the kind of overpowering scent that evokes headaches and nausea to me. I could only see folks wearing this during the colder months to evening events. I don't think I could smell this for long periods without becoming sick of it.

0/10

Sammbac

A very luscious, ripe, juicy and realistic peach note dominates. To me the background smells like roses and musk and light jasmine. The peach dries down more powdery. A blind buy from AI the Greats reviews. I love the peach, its dark and sweet. It seems to have greater than average sillage and edit: longevity on fabric is insane, average on skin. I would wear this day to day as a scent for a more mature lady in any season although so far I have only tried it in UK Summer. Perhaps best suited to Autumn/Fall.

Lotte_Liese

This is the only my burberry fragrance/ flanker I feel is interesting and worth your pound notes. I'll give you three words that sum up this fragrance: peaches, amber and sophistication.

abbie_sayshello

Okay I gave it a full test run and I love it! I was worried, I was looking for a peachy scent and I really love this one. When I first sprayed it, it started out super ambery. I appreciate amber for what it does but I am not an ambery girl. In about an hour or two the dry down smells just like peaches and cream. I am typing this after my 9hr shift as a secretary at a body shop, as you can imagine with all the bays being open all day it gets hot in here during the summer time. I am so pleased to say that this scent is still going strong. If you are gourmand girly like me but can appreciate an amber top note, I’d totally recommend this! I adore it!

angelicaswanson

Very underrated perfume in my opinion, cozy and sophisticated. PERFECT for fall. It is not limited to that season only but it is best for cold weather. If you want to wear this any other season I recommend wearing it in the nighttime. This reminds me of hogwarts during halloween because it has that same cozy, warm and elegant vibe to it WHICH I LOVE. Sometimes I smell it and imagine I'm in a common room at hogwarts during halloween at night covered with a blanket looking at the decoration and warm lighting. So comforting.

ambervxyjul

A beautiful underrated scent. It’s discontinued from what I heard but still sold on discounted sites. The nose behind it is the same nose behind BR540 and Gentle Fluidity.

It’s deep amber with rose and bits of vanilla. A pretty likable scent but more on the heavier side. I would use this in winter mostly but perhaps fall would be great as well. Smells more expensive than what it is worth. Moderate longevity 5-7 on skin and longer on clothes. Projection is big in the first 2 hours.

IKA OKTINA BR SITEPU

this is a gorgeous parfume for vanilla & rose lover.. in my skin, sillage & projection in good but sadly longevity only 4-5 hours. Totally a signature fragrance worthy

Amylya

This is all about a ripe peach with patchouli and a deep rose with amber in the background. Absolutely fantastic and magical in a rainy day!

Carolinemushroom

The notes listed are really accurate, the Amber and spiciness make it good for fall, but there's also a really present powdery peach that makes it work for warmer weather too. This is my favorite fragrance bc it's incredibly unique and long lasting for a reasonable price. I love it <3

wiltedviolets

Wow, first impression was that it smelt like a Lush store. Also smells a bit minty to my nose? strange but I love this perfume ! I do find that this scent is really strong like way overpowering if i do more than 3 sprays though so be careful.

Maria19

Dark and feminine at the same time. Positively surprised. The fragrance notes are in harmony, which makes this fragrance pleasant on my skin. It simply smells good, what more could you ask for?

Gemsense

Way better than I had anticipated! It does smell very similar to The One, only this is a tad sweeter and tad spicier. I like this one more❤️. It reminds me of The One mixed with Idole. This is patch done right! I can’t stand patchouli unless it enhances a fragrance and doesn’t rule it. This enhances it and makes it sexy. The peach and rose are blended so well neither take over. Amber makes it a deep golden fireside warmth back up player along side the patch. A fragrance done very very well! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩💯

poodleParty

This is a very elegant and mature scent. Very heavy/deep and ambery, but also little bit sweet at the same time. I can really smell the rose/peach note as well.

When I first tried this on my skin, it was as if it was made just for me. It was like putting on a pair of jeans that fit perfectly, if that makes any sense. It's everything I've wanted in a perfume -- heavy but airy, mature but not grandma-like, feminine but not too feminine.

It lasts all day (up to 12 hrs) on my skin and it's super strong. If you get some on your clothes, it won't come off until you wash it. I don't know when I'll finish my 90ml bottle, since I only need 1 spray and I never need to reapply.

Opepo

I've got great love for anything Burberry. Burberry perfumes exude this class, luxury and uniqueness that I can't explain. My Burberry black is not an exception. It has that Burberry DNA and I'll say this is a very nice perfume. The only issue I've got with it is that it's a tad too powdery. I and that makes it somewhat very cloying. Asides these issues, it's a beautiful fragrance. I'll give it a 6/10. 6/10 is a really good fragrance in my books.

jazzscent13

I want to declutter this so bad but this was a gift, plus I love the bottle so I’ll keep it.….
It’s gorgeous on paper, but on my skin this is such a screechy, syrupy and dirty woody mess. I feel there’s too much going on in the base. The patchouli ruin this 😩

Kim Milan

I purchased a backup bottle of this after purchasing a 30ml bottle I loved it so much at first, after a few months of it macerating the smell is way stonger.

Getting rid of my brand new 90ml bottle if anyone is intrested based in the UK only. DM me.

thaochipnd

My Burberry Black is a sexy, passionate fragrance for mature ladies. An absolute fragrance best suited for cold, rainy days. The scent note is also made up of very beautiful ingredients: Peach, Rose, Amber; but I don't understand why I'm not very impressed with this scent.

My only feeling about it is that the fragrant Peach and Amber are very sexy, but without losing the gentleness and elegance inherent in Burberry's style. Maybe I'll wait to try it on a really cold day and come back to evaluate.

Rating: 7/10. In the end I passed it, hoping this was the right decision

The only perfume I’ve ever stockpiled. I won’t tell you how many bottles I have because it’s kinda obscene.

It’s an intoxicating fragrance and a rapturous work of art.

Over the past year I amassed as many as I could (focusing on the limited edition with silver caps, mostly).

This is my favorite perfume on the planet. I don’t mention it much on this site because I covet it.
But when you love something you want to talk about it.
So, finally, I am saying something.

Very pleased to know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s so totally striking, I love the idea that only a few women will be wearing this in the coming years.

I wear this perfume more than any other. It’s maybe too fancy for daily casual wear, but I care not!

People fall over themselves when I wear this.

Gushing compliments. From both sexes and every age bracket. My 83 year old mother loves this, my sister loves it, my boyfriend loves it, I get compliments everywhere I go. Young, old, male, female.

Lasts and projects even into the next day, and strongly (this is, hands down, the longest lasting fragrance I own). But it’s never cloying, even when I overspray (and I often do because I am passionately in love with it).

A fruit and flower garden in the humid summer heat, under dark thunder clouds. A coming summer storm. It really conveys that type of rare and strange weather.
Which makes this perfume a work of fine art. (When I was buying my bottles over the last year I felt like I was stealing art from the louvre, because the price was an absolute steal for what this is).

Alternatively, it brings to mind peach gummy rings dipped in the smoothest most exclusive melted caramel. A bit of licorice (no one mentions this, but I always smell black licorice in this). And roses.

Zero granulated sugar. This has no gritty sugar. It’s all smooth as can be.

Best way to describe it:
Peach gummies being mixed into a vat of melting caramel, all of it melting together. A bouquet of fresh roses and jasmine on the table nearby. A nibble of black licorice.

Heaven in a bottle.
A magic potion. Decadent. But in no way a typical gourmand. I do in fact detect hints of BR in this, at its base. So this explains the rich, mouthwatering, caramel vibe, and airy texture.

The one time a fragrance has been discontinued that I have zero regrets about, because I prepared for it. A rare experience for me.

My only slight regret is that I missed out on the Elixir de Parfum. I would have loved to test it. However I’ve heard it is not stronger (as if it even needs to be), just slightly different… so I am probably not missing much.

I could see how people would say this is a winter only fragrance, but because it’s not cloying at all, it works in any weather. It smells delicious at any time in any weather, at least to me.

It is, after all, representative of a warm, summer thunder storm, dark skies and rain in a summer garden. So it certainly fits summer, especially summer evenings.

It took me until age 48 to find my ultimate signature.

martagonlily1

To my nose the patchouli in this is not as blaring as La Panthere parfum. In my opinion, this is well blended. I've also heard this is discontinued.

LilSis

This has potential but the patchouli gives me an instant headache. I handed it off to a friend, couldn't pick out any other notes but that blaring patchouli.

Jennswen

My favorite perfume!
My Burberry Black is a beautiful woman in a black dress entering a wet forest while eating an overripe peach that drips down her hand as she transforms into a Burtonesque dark fairy with the sunlight streaming through the trees while the wet moss and leaves crunch underneath her feet.
I love it!

NouveauDruid

Luckily I only have a travel spray of this disappointing thing. Peach? Yes. Amber? Yes and quite fake. Rose? A tad. And jasmine? It's a jasmine BOMB that in fact nearly ruins it. Recently, I made the mistake of trying it a second time and without thinking I sprayed it on my neck. Choke! It's so sweet, so strong, and so artificial, I am sorry I even spent $14. If anyone can recommend how to layer this with something else---a spice, vanilla, citrus, please send me a PM. I don't hate it. It's just that I think it's salvageable if another note or two is added to sit on that jasmine from hell. Heh.

lowkey chaotic

Is it true that this fragrance is being discontinued?

MCW7

When I first got this, it seemed weak to me. I put it down for a few months came back and man is this stuff strong. Smacks you right in the face. Not sure how I feel about it. I blind bought this and feel like it’s not as wonderful as all the reviews.. it just doesn’t do it for me. kind of sharp. As far as silage or lasting power I really don’t know yet. . as I’ve just tried it this evening again. Way too pricey for what this really is. not worth it. To be continued.

zimmer73

I blindbought this one, and I really shouldn't have. Sprayed it on after an evening shower, but felt a little shoked. It has the same effect on me like Oud satin mood. Like a rose/oud combo that is strong and a bit too much, to the point that I get a headache.
I can see that it is a nice fragrance, warm and cosy in a way, and it stays on forever.
But I really feel overwhelmed by it, sadly enough.

SweetJhane

I love amber florals and I love sweet perfumes, but not this one. MBB has incredible performance and longevity, the qualities people often find lacking in Burberry scents, which makes it especially disappointing to me that I don’t like this one. The peach note (I usually love peach in perfumes) is just overwhelming and ruins the composition for me. There’s an odd green note here, too, that I can’t name and isn’t listed - it’s completely out of place and persists hours and hours throughout the drydown. So glad I tried a travel size first.

DianaD13082019

I love this scent. Warm, soft, cuddly... Great for a cold winter evening. I don't find it sweet. It is not, but it definitely has the personality of a passionate and hot woman.

Dragonskulljj

I'm not getting any jasmine from this but my boyfriend can smell it 😂. Anyway, this smells sweet but not gourmand type. Sillage and longevity is decent. I'd rate this 9/10. This is sexy!

VMonster

*currently sampling* I'm obsessed. Peach & patchouli are top favorites of mine and together with this smooth, heavy amber and candied rose petals? Hi yes. I love it. It's classy AF and I think it's gorgeous and stunning. Will probably buy FB eventually. I actually think it's quite similar to L'extase - not exactly, but you can tell it's a FK composition; he likes to do the jammy-sweet-lush rose with an ambery base. This is distinctly less sweet and even smoother.

Lydia Rodarte-Quayle from Breaking Bad would wear this.

Cvdwatson

My brain missed peach, ha! A complex scent but the Patchouli and rose wore me down over time.
I tried really hard to make this work (on My Burberry Blush too) but just can't get there.
Sold to a home that loves it.

BougieGirlShops

This is a very lovely fragrance, and I can see this in regular rotation. At first I was a little apprehensive given the nose behind this is Kurkdjian, and while I acknowledge he's brilliant, I don't normally enjoy his fragrances. You can still pick up his DNA in this if you smell hard enough, a sweet jammy rose and jasmine. However, the patchouli and amber help anchor this into a more conventional crowd-pleaser scent.

It is a sophisticated scent with a smooth creaminess and well balanced. It would make a good day scent for a more mature woman 35+ in a professional setting. This can easily be someone's signature scent.

Gyps

This is beautiful. I bought a 100ml bottle so it will last and it weighs a ton. Every Burberry frag I have tried don’t have the staying power I want, but this one is quite special.

SaraZigova

Where is my patchouli? Smells just like the original

Shaina87

I've been wanting a bottle of this for months. But my favorite fragrance website has been out of stock. A couple weeks ago, I finally got the email saying it was back in stock, so I immediately ordered the 3oz bottle. I received it a week ago and have been letting it rest. But I finally sprayed it today! The opening smells of slightly dusty, vintage rose. But the mid and dry down is where it's at! After the first initial spray, it starts warming up quickly; making it a gorgeous candied peach rose, with a creamy jasmine in the background, on a bed of amber and patchouli. The patchouli isn't dirty but it is deep imo. Beautiful, sensual, elegant and even a bit dark. The performance is amazing! I'm going to be wearing this constantly this autumn/winter season. Performance and longevity are great. I really like the bottle too - I have a thing for black bottles. And the design is pretty. I'm so glad to finally have this one in my collection!

VargaZsuzsanna

This is my new favourite for this fall and winter season. A few weeks ago I said Sofia from Sofia Vergara was my sexiest parfume. Well, Sofia got competition. Sofia is sexy like young Madonna the pop singer with her wild energy, MBB is sexy like Angelina Jolie in the movie The Tourist. MBB is feminine, sophisticated, elegant, alluring, sensual and mysterious, a real compliment getter. I even cought my son sniffing me, LOL.
The performance is exceptional for a designer fragrance, it lasts all day on my skin, with a decent sillage. I have a small 30 ml bottle but planning to buy a big one soon. I don't want to run out of this beauty.

Chynahmiyake

One of the best scents in my collection! I hope they never discontinue it. The smell is intoxicating! The longevity is amazing, literally lasts 8+ hours on me.

Fatima1219

I love it! This will never leave my collection! The amber note in this fragrance rocks and this is a huge compliment-getter!
The House of Burberry is one of my favorite fragrance houses.

Autumn_Moon

I definitely get the impression that I am walking through a humid garden -- on a hot day, just after a heavy thunderstorm, when the petals and leaves of the plants are still drenched with rainwater (and no, the sun hasn't come out from behind the lingering grey storm clouds yet) when I wear this one. The storm may have cooled things off by a few degrees, but the air is still and thick and dense.

Without a doubt, I can detect the candied peach note, which is luscious and ripe and juicy -- mixed with some newly-unfurled jasmine blossoms and a hint of roses in full bloom... it's almost cloying, and it smells syrupy-sweet... but I LOVE it.

The patchouli in this isn't dirty or skanky... it's deep and rich, yet somehow clean and not "obviously" patchouli, and it's supported by the amber in the base (*no* ambroxan here, just a smooth amber). It feels like a powerful, seductive fragrance, and it's a compliment-getter. Thus far, it's also the only Burberry fragrance that worked well on my skin, and it's a keeper for me.

The longevity of this one is phenomenal! It doesn't *smell* like any of the "powerhouse perfumes" of the 1980s, but it sure *performs* like one. I can apply a spritz of this and still smell it all day long and into the next morning. (Sometimes, I can still catch hints of it after scrubbing it off in the shower. It'll stick to your clothes until you wash them, guaranteed.) I purchased a "gift set" (containing the perfume, a small bottle of shower gel, and an equally tiny bottle of body lotion), and I'm glad I did (because yes, there *are* times when I want to bathe in this scent!), but layering is not a prerequisite with this one; the perfume alone will suffice.

I hope they never discontinue or reformulate this one, because it's gorgeous!

Duaham

This one is lovely! Projection is amazing for a designer fragrance and lasts about 6-8 hours on me. It's a deep, dark, sensual amber musk with hints of caramelized peach. The rose is very settle. I recently started spraying my Yardley lavender EDP with this and it brightens it up for summer.

T.Zhao

This is my favourite winter scent, so elegant and feminine. I find that the smell is noticeable but not over powering or in your face.

Roses and Thyme

I’ve had my bottle since it’s release where I bought it at the Macy’s counter. It smells just like spiced peach pie to me. I also have the original MB and MB edt. MBB does not smell like either of those, in my opinion. I like it but I have to be in the mood for it.

Eveningrose

I am not getting any jasmine or rose at all. It goes straight to the base which Amber and Patchouli. It can definitely be unisex in my opinion. I don’t know if I can wear it by itself . I may layer with some white florals to give it a little more femininity. It is definitely a very strong scent and not a safe blind buy

Update : after wearing it all day, I am so impressed with the longevity on skin , it lasts more than 8 hours on skin . The scent dry down is a sweet peach 🍑 with Amber somewhere in the background. It’s definitely SUPER sweet. I have to say I am starting to like it the more I wear it !

violeteme

I like how it starts as a warm, golden, peachy amber. Later patchouli comes through and the composition takes turn somewhere in the direction of Coco Mademoiselle or Miss Dior (2012), just deeper than those, but still there is that fruity-floral-patchouli combination here. It's quite elegant, but for some reason I really wish it stayed more like amber and less like peach-patchouli. Anyway, I feel this is a good alternative to those who kind of like fruitchoulis, but then also wish they were more interesting and deeper. I agree, it smells a bit like 2010's.

Amgae

This is one of the best perfumes I ever smelled. it reminds me of the days when I waited patiently for summer to come so that i can enjoy fresh, in season mangoes. which is what this perfume's opening reminds me of.

after a while it starts smelling like a mixture of patchouli and roses.

I got loads of compliments while wearing it, mostly from women.

my friend said "it smells early 2010s" but my friend knows nothing about perfumes, so 🤷♂️

Time: Morning/Noon
Season: Summer
Smell: 8/10
Sillage: 7.5/10
Longevity: 6/10
Price: 7/10

Overall: 7.5/10

violetelle

I actually love this. It has something in common with its sister My Burberry Blush but this is darker and really seductive. Peach can be a no no for me because it often smells synthetic and kind of dirty or overripe. However, I love it in this. This makes me feel sexy and grown. I’ll get a big bottle of this as soon as I can justify the expense. It also has great staying power.

Perin_Zambia

I recently just ordered this scent and I hope 🤞 it’s something I’ll like. Am a sweet kinda lover and I love super strong scents

Stoicchild

Everyone is saying this is sweet but I'm getting very heavy Patchouli and Amber. It's more unisex, very strong scent. I kinda get a tobacco smell, there's something smokey about it.

June venus

How sweet! This scent is sweet but does not sugar and biscuits. It is an adult perfume. Amber is sweet surrender by a juicy peach and patchouli from depth, warmth, roundness.
Just sprayed the first time I was not impressed, indeed I felt anonymous and watered down but After few minutes I changed my mind. It turned into a sweet amber scent and find myself constantly sniffing the wrist.
It is more than half a day the company (which is unusual for a dry skin like mine)
I like to wear it in spring, buy no when it's too hot, it gives me comfort and well-being.
Very Nice

correspondencepersonal

If you like the general smell and vibe of Dolce & Gabanna's "The One", but wish that the Peach and Honey were stronger - then try My Burberry Black.

This starts with peach and honey, a warm deep rich honey. There is possibly a hint of tobacco in this, which I've always liked in perfumes that have substance to them.
This is really gorgeous on.

I will have to sample this one again because I didn't check back in with this to notice the longevity. I'm very impressed with the first spritz of this perfume, this perfume is a bit more serious than some of the more fresh, optimistic perfumes I've been drawn to since the Covid Quarantine began. This is one of the closest perfumes to one of my all time favorites, Tuxedo by Ralph Lauren - which had a fairly strong sweet tobacco chord.

The peach, honey, and sweet tobacco notes in this perfume are definitely striking a great chord. This was an instant WOW for me, just fabulous.

OMGosh is this totally GREAT! The first time I sprayed this, I couldn't stop smelling my arm. This one is really good, ON.

------------

I just tried this in the heat of the summer, this is pretty STRONG on -- and was a little over the top and a bit cloying for this type of heat. Yes, you could wear this year round, but I would definitely say that this is the type of perfume that would be best in the autumn, winter, early spring -- or in cooler climates. This would also be a great perfume to wear in the evenings when it cools down a bit. I love stronger perfumes, but this was slightly too strong in the summer heat.

msamber86

This starts with a synthetic smelling jasmine. I love jasmine so I was a bit disappointed that it was synthetic. Then the peach starts to come in. The mix of jasmine and peach smells a bit soapy for me. This smells like a candied peach that you would find in a peach body wash. I have tried another perfume (Tresor) with a mix of jasmine and peach and it also has a body wash smell. This might be what happens when you mix jasmine and peach in a scent.

Once the jasmine drops you get more of the full body peach. It feels like you are eating a peach. You can smell the flesh, the occasional juiciness of the peach, and the sweet pulpiness when you get to the pit. It’s sweet and beautiful and intoxicating. I would not expect anything less than this from the nose behind the famous Maison Francis Kurkdjian. I can’t stop smelling my arm.

The rose starts to come in and mixes with the sweet peach and it’s heaven. Kurkdjian knows how to do a complicated and beautiful rose and here it pairs so beautifully with the peach. The peach becomes jammy when paired with the rose. As the full body peach fades away there are traces of peach when you smell the rose and it allows you to experience the peach for longer but in different forms.

I have been searching for a peach perfume for quite a while and I think I found my “one.”

Maailman Katselija

I have recently tested OUD SATIN MOOD in a store and realized, from the very beginning, that it smelled like a perfume I know and I even owned, at some point. Bingo! That fragrance was MY BURBERRY BLACK EDP and, after some quick research, I saw that Francis Kurkdjian actually created that one as well. The only difference between the slightly higher longevity of OSM (considering that MY BURBERRY BLACK already has a very good longevity!). Overall, I really like MY BURBERRY BLACK, I remember buying it immediately after testing it back then, when it was released and I guess I would come back to it these days, especially considering the very convenient price tag.

Yenistiletto

So at first I loved this scent. A perfect mix of sweet syrupiness and spicy warmth. Extremely strong and quite overwhelming in a good way. However, now I’m not such a fan. I like mixing scents and it’s quite hard to mix as it’s that overpowering. I think I prefer the blush version more now. Still quite a lovely scent perfect for winter/colder days.

Moflis

I was super excited to try this perfume, anyhow this is the same like Sexy Amber by Michael Kors. Seriously why all the perfumes recently need to be the same.

Arwaiq

The season is now spring in the area I live in , and I have just found out , this perfume is perfect for spring!!!
Just amazing 😍

Ninalovesclassy

This is just so sexy, deffinately a date night favourite.

terigurl

It's okay...I don't dislike it but I don't love it either. I notice that I never reach for it either. It's strong. Wear this if you want to commit to a fragrance for 7+ hours. Lasts even longer on clothes. I'm going to try to give this a chance next fall/winter.

Remmel

The best of the My Burberry flankers. It's very fresh, spicy, almost magical peach. The rose is pretty strong, it kinda tickles my nose and makes me feel like I'm on the verge of a sneeze, but in general I really enjoy it. Very long-lasting and seductively feminine. 7/10

Münevver Görgü

It is clean, fresh and sweet and a little bit spicy.

SniffyWhiffy

I got this as a gift and I was quite surprised at how strong it was when I first tried it out. But it's such a beautiful scent and I'm very happy with it.

Spencemonster

It has that vibe of My Burberry EDP and the Blush. They all share a similar striking note. And this one is the strongest. I feel they should have labeled this black intense or just. Intense. This is soooooo potent and strong. But very pretty and blended well.

Perfumedsecrets

I go back and forth with this perfume. I will wear it for awhile, then put it away. I always pick it up again. It’s so well blended for my skin chemistry. I don’t smell any one note, they have a perfect mix. It’s not too sweet, floral, or a patchouli bomb. It’s a shame this is getting discontinued. They push Burberry Her when it’s only a strawberry musk. I had that one, but kept MBB.

Ivaz

To me it smelled fantastic for the all 3 hours it lasted on me. It's a bit fruity, a bit flowery, even a bit spicy and oriental. I'm not an ingredients expert, so I can't tell exactly what the notes are. I read people say it's sweet, but in my opinion it's rather fresh and sharp with a hint of sweetness to it, which makes a good balance. Too bad it's getting discontinued. I don't think Burberry is doing good advertising. They keep on discontinuing gorgeous perfumes, while some other brands remain on market with much worse products.

Rozalina

My Burberry Black almost smells good, but just misses the mark. The patchouli is a little too sharp, the peach is overripe and kind of cheap, the rose should’ve been more of a candied, sweet rose. I only get a hint of jasmine and not sure what purpose it serves here.
My first impression after spraying is that this will be a syrupy, citrus-tinged feminine fragrance a la Mancera’s Roses Vanille, but then almost immediately I’m primarily smelling the bitterness from the patchouli with something sweet in the background. It would be good with the addition of lemon and the removal of half the patchouli, and as much as I love amber, this doesn’t need to be an amber scent.

Edit: i still don’t love it, but the dry down is much nicer after the first hour or so.

PerfumedParrot

Way too sweet for me - it’s screamingly sweet. Syrupy peach nectar with added crushed candies and an acidic fruity tang that’s intensely cloying. Just smelling it is giving me cavities. Fantastic strength and longevity though. The dry-down gives me BR540 vibes - I guess that’s courtesy of Mr Kurkdjian. A peach weapon of nuclear sweetness.

ythefnot

A little too old lady smell for my taste, a little too SWEET! However, I love how strong and lasting this perfume is. I wear it for nights out where I wanna feel elegant and glam, that said I would not wear this everyday

ntabassum92

My Burberry Black is totally different from what I expected. It is really heavy handed with the patchouli in the opening, the same kind of fusty, difficult to wear patchouli that is in Angel. The opening smells like a patchouli rose perfume, with the strains of My Burberry struggling to show itself. As it dries down, the My Burberry DNA comes out more, the sweet peachy floral with a heavy dose of amber, with a bit of skanky patchouli lingering. It smells good, and it lasts long, but somehow, I prefer the original...what the original had in uniqueness was that sweet pea freshness, that picture of an English garden in spring freshly soaked in drizzle...by stewing everything together in an ambery syrup, the charm of the original is lost.

spaghettibuns

I love an amber when its done right, and this aint done right. Its the patchouli. Patchouli got no business in a womens perfume. I love my patchouli essential oil. I nicknamed it "stinky patchouli" haha. As an essential oil its kinda great. But its got no business in a feminine fragrance. This scent is like an obnoxious mix of pepper, candy, and peach, with the amber somewhere under all that. Its just confused. Its like all the scents are fighting to be front and center and that just dont work. Its not good. But if someone near me was covered in it I'd survive. I dont hate its guts. I strongly dislike it.

shal42

It must just be me then lol I received this for valentines day, a large bottle along with some red roses, and i really do not like it at all! I don't know what the fuss is about, it is boring to me, and something or nothing,i believed all the hype, which i never usually do, and will never do again, watched so many reviews on you tube, thought this has got to be amazing, couple of people even called it a masterpiece, seriously?
I usually go with my gut, and i didn't this time, everything told me i wouldn't love this fragrance, the rose and the peach, but i love patchouli and amber, it is just meh, just feel bad for getting my partner to waste £90 on it, i will be putting it on ebay to hopefully get some money back and finally i put 12 sprays on, and i usually do 20 lol and i could not smell it after 30 mins neither could he, so not the beast everyone says it is either!
I'm a dark and mysterious strong smelling type of perfume girl, and i'm afraid Burberry bloody black was none of those things to me at least!
So if anyone has similar taste to me, i strongly advise you try before you buy, on this one, or skip it, avoid the disappointment!

Fragscenthead

I smelled it on a female colleague and I was surprised how much I liked it. I decided to purchase it as a gift for my mom. It's 100% feminine but not for young ladies. The main characteristic is the longevity. It lasts for hours. I tried it on my skin of course as a fragrance lover but it didn't suit on me. Peach, Jasmine and rose in a total harmony.

Kanutten

It's a peach bomb. Wasn't expecting that. It's a long lasting peach and amber scent on my skin. I get absolutely no rose from this. I loved it the first time I tried it, but oversprayed the second and got slapped in the face by the peach.

Not sweet, sour or harsh. The patch is perfectly balanced and almost not detectable. I just don't know what to think about the peach, as my skin seems to really amp it up. Confused. (I did love it when I sprayed only twice though) Hmm.

Edit: I got tired of the persistant peach and tried to wash it off. 13 hours and a wash later I still smell it. Smells like lovely peach pie. Lesson? - Don't overspray ;D I won't buy this as I'm not that into peach. And the peach actually lasted for days on my clothes. But if you love peach (think more in the direction of warm peach pie, not the fresh kind), then this is it. Gourmand territory on my skin, but without being too sweet.

I've read some people rate this as a bit masculine. For (on) me this is super feminine.

Chavezb3

Jammy, peachy rose scent with lots of amber in the dry down. It’s very elegant and I envision a classy woman walking the streets of New York during winter. She’s wearing a beautiful long black coat with expensive leather gloves. She’s wearing a bold red lip and her jet black hair is flowing with the cold wind. Very sexy elegant scent & I wish I was that girl lol but for some reason this just didn’t feel like my scent. It’s beautiful but just not me.

melusina1982

I am not a Kurkdjian fan at all. I haven't found anything created by him that works on my skin, at least that I am aware of.
This one and the others of the line are no exception, but I think this is good: it is original, unexpected and the peach note is interesting.
For some reason, it smells like Dublin to me. One of those strange links between smell and memory that I am unconscious of.

KastlesInTheSky

To die for patchouli! 🤩 Just a beautiful creation 🙏

RachelSeun

I hate to use the word “discontinued” because it gets thrown around a little carelessly but I have checked the Burberry website for this fragrance and it is no longer listed (only the largest size and I think once it’s sold out that’s it). Also on other retailers the only flanker still being sold is My Burberry Blush. I knew this would happen and I’m gutted because Burberry Her is being pushed so much and My Burberry and its flanker just aren’t. My Burberry Black is among my top 2 favourite fragrance of life so I need to stock up because I can’t be without this fragrance! MASSIVELY underrated. Beast performer and projector.

Ladygugu

Feminine, sexy and strong! It's a bold perfume; a little goes a long way.

Lisab14

Love this one! It's fit to tend a party or night time, because the fragrance is very strong, sexy and long lasting!

jessr777

Does anyone else think that this smells like white wine? It’s like a very dry, complex white. Maybe a Riesling, which can also have jasmine, rose, peach, and pear notes.

Anyway, I absolutely love this one. Closest thing I have to a signature scent. Sexy without being loud. Sophisticated without leaning too mature. I would wear this anytime, anywhere, though it’s probably best suited for winter and fall.

I prefer this one to the original My Burberry, which has some kind of an oily/fatty/bitter note that I find a bit challenging. Though I still love that one, this is just a step above it for me.

386Vintage

nice winter

SexyStumps13

My favorite notes in fragrances peach, amber and patchouli are in my top five. Rose is in my bottom three. I sprayed this on the card and... be still my beating heart IT WAS AMAZING! Peach and patchouli balanced perfectly, not too earthy, not so sweet that it smells immature, complimented with a lovely hint of rose and jasmine. I was so in love!

I sprayed myself to see how it would present on me and the love affair turned instantly into a train wreck. It broke my cold little black heart into a million pieces, .on the card it smelled light, crisp, sweet with a touch of earth. On me, it smelled like the floor of my grandmothers fur closet; moth balls with a hint of peach.

chelseamurdock

This is a very feminine and juicy peach and amber fragrance. It has a lightness and lotion-y quality to it, but still manages to project and last for ages. I sprayed one spritz on my hand and it lasted even through hand washing! It definitely has that same airy, shampoo-y DNA that is present in all of the fragrances in the My Burberry line, but it’s somehow much smoother. Overall, it’s a very pleasant and well-crafted fragrance.

mangooo

I really wanted to love this one because the bottle is so pretty!

This is a strong perfume. One spray and that's pretty much good enough. The dry down is very powdery which I'm not a scent expert but I think is likely the amber. It's well blended but I'm just not a huge fan of powdery scents. I get a little bit of sweetness from the peach but not as much as I would like. This feels like an adult baby powder with a splash of youthful peach.

This is definitely a winter scent. Would not suggest wearing this in hot weather or high humidity. Longevity is very very good, outperforms a lot of other perfumes in my stash. Sadly I just can't like this scent!

Liljekonvall

Very nice.Get the rose, amber and patchouli. But no peach. The rose is the same rose as in Nina Ricci rose elixier😊More umf to burberry so i am very happy with this🥰

Sherine777

For some reason, I decided to compare the 3 My Burberrys' I have, first off they don't smell the same to me at all, they are no less than 80% different and all are well made as to be expected from Francis Kurkdjian.
My Burberry Blush is the clean, fresh, shampoo-y one. My least favorite personally, but it is a matter of personal preference of course.
My Burberry is the flowery one, the Sweet Pea stands out the most.
My Burberry Black is the sultry one, I find it gorgeous, it's warm, cozy yet alluring. Definitly this one is my favorite.

This is THE scent for fall. Diffusive silky smooth peach with semi-sweet amber. The rose and patchouli are in the background here. This is the kind of perfume that radiates widely but up close it’s not very dense. Typical Kurkdjian style. Truly delicious and very longlasting.

Get it while you still can!

Hojoko46584

It punches me with amber and sweet peach at the opening. Very jammy and cloy. But then it turns into a warm and smooth candy bubble that I enjoy much more. I like to spray this my scarves on cold days. So I get to smell the beautiful lingering dry down. The patchouli is not strong in this one. Not for hot days. Performance is about 4-6 hours on me.

Koningin

If kool-aid was a fragrance, this would be it.

This would make a perfect Ariana Grande perfume.

CHERRYLEIDY

Long lasting peachy floral. I wear it to the office and get nothing but compliments.

Luthien999

Elegant, classy scent. Dominant notes are Amber and Peach. Luxurious. Longevity about 7 hours. Night- time perfume.

Caitlin5

Sexy sex sexiness! I'm wearing a little black dress on the third date and I want to SWEAT! or wearing black lingerie on my man's birthday and he's gonna get it :) I can just smell the peach but its more a peaches and cream I think the mix of the amber and the peach notes in here give off a slight lactonic smell .It can be a little more of an intimate silage but that could also just be my skin but this is why it's perfect for date nights. One of my all time favourites in my collection so far, its so divine!

Miss Dolittle

Initially, I didn't like it. Now, I'm in love. Long-lasting. I'm wearing it in summer. Not cloggy. I smell divine.

Elis.Shenol

The longest lasting perfume I own. It’s an absolute beast. In my opinion it’s more of a fall/winter scent, but even in the hot weather it performs amazingly! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fragrance which will leave you smelling bomb for days ahead!

BougieSh3

Anytime, anywhere, beastmode, non- offensive fragrance.

$ortabroke

Upon first spray it smells almost identical to Sofia by Sofia Vergara (I'm very surprised no one else thinks so), and as it dries down it smells like Sofia mixed with Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming. Beautiful surprise!

adelaidesandrina

this smells like soir de lune to me. not the exact same, but very similar. i mean some of the notes are the same so yeah no wonder.

if i smelled this from an arm’s length, i love it. it smells like a peachier, darker version of the og my burberry which i used to own and adore. but if i sniff it directly i’m not too sure about it, because like i said it smells like soir de lune which i honestly hate with a passion. luckily it fades away after a while (15mins i think).

the bottle is stunning though, so sophisticated!!

Guccibaby46

NO NO NO …. NO peach for me.
No jasmine, no amber no patchouli just peach. … yuk.

Another one that I will pass onto my daughter. This is more her than me.

Eau de Hanneli

Sweet peach (both fruit and blossom), a whisp of jasmine, candied rose, smooth amber and patchouli come together harmoniously in My Burberry Black. Shines on a cold Winters day like the promise of Spring to come. Sensual and inviting, this is my Winter peach. Kyse Pêach au Yuzu is my Summer peach.

girlieeusername

you definitely smell the amber and patchouli the most. can't quite pick out the peach, probs have to train my nose a bit more. the amber here smells like werther's original caramel candy. but not too sweet bc of the slight herbiness of the patchouli. rich, warm, comforting smell, good for fall/winter. beautiful bottle.

imochy

My Burberry Black was not an instant love for me. If I look at the notes, on paper My Burberry Black looks like something I would love. But in reality, took quite some time for me to get accustomed to it :)

My Burberry Black started real loud. The peach was almost too much on my nose. I'm only feeling better once the peach is rounded by amber. I sprayed two sprays on my wrist and it's enough for me to feel like I'm in a My Burberry Black bubble and I still catch a whiff whenever I move my hands for the next 12 hours.

My favorite is the sweet sweet rose in the drydown. When the dusty-amberish patchouli is starting to fade, I start to smell rose. It blooms late, but I love how it blooms in the end. It's like a final chorus of my day - basically telling me that now that I smell the rose, I should stop working and mind other parts of my life.

Danaalr

Im wondering if anyone else finds Burberry Black similar to Delina or Delina Exclusif in the dry down? Because im getting a lot of Delina vibes, i wonder if anyone else smells the similarity.

roseyessence

Thick, sticky, sweet, girthy, earthy, gummy, gooey, flowery piece of work.
This is not for the faint of heart as it is quite loud, very loud a dab or spray will do ya.
The rose is quite prominent so is the peach, however the peach here is not overly ripened. it is not that ripe to me. in my opinion this stops it from having that nausea inducing vibe that overripened fruits have. The other notes are well rounded and almost undetectable in my opinion.

Once again don't be a scent hero and over spray this one. A spray or a dab will do ya. The sillage and longevity are out of this world. It is versatile depending on how you spray it
I do not have a special occasion anything, I use my stuff how and when I want to. However, if you are that type that reserves things for special occasions, this fits right in.

This reminds me greatly of Nina Ricci L'extase, Chloe Eau de parfum, Lancome tresor la nuit,

Nisha Nacho 88

Smells like an old school elementary school teacher in the South. I love it.

SummerRose

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance. It's warm, it's peachy, it's juicy, it's inviting, it's feminine, it's captivating and it's sofisticated. The performance is outstanding with great sillage and great longevity. It is beast mode so would be better for cooler weather, evening wear. It is not light, fluffy or girly instead it is womanly and strong but cosy. My favourite Burberry fragrance. I also have My Burberry which I would wear more day time or spring/autumn.

s2jkbrad

A sophisticated warm peachy amber delight. Burberry is one of the only brands where the peach works on me, and doesn’t smell synthetic or plasticky. This smells like a clean (but not green) elegant floral. I don’t think this smells polarizing on me, but after reading some of these reviews, maybe I’ll ask my husband! I will say that I’ve noticed that peach notes in perfumes can really react differently depending on our chemistries. For example, D & G s The One smells awful on /to me, and I think it’s the peach note used.

GabrielleeeeeW

I tested this out a few days ago, sprayed once on each arm, and close to an hour later I was in my coworker's office and she commented how lovely it smelled, and our coworker in the office next to us also remarked he could smell it from his desk (yikes!). So I guess this is a strong performer!

I love it and bought a full bottle right away. I smell ripe peach the entire time, but instead of being warm it's more cold and serious. It's definitely not a sickening sweet fruity floral, the vibe is totally different. More mature.

chinna

I hate that peachy note reminds Tressor Lancôme

Kai_11

This was a successful blind buy after trying the EDT and EDP My Burberry. This one is really sweet initially, but settles down so well. It’s creamier and warmer obviously, but not too heavy. It would be easy to wear in most situations, and most seasons (my opinion).

vzorka3

I love it. It’s a huge warm hug. So comforting. Those who love the edp or edt version will love this one too. Maybe I enjoy Black the most. My Burberry Blush is different, I regret buying it because it misses the warm accords.

Amascent

This is a gem. I bought this on impulse because it was so unique. I couldn't get enough when I first tried it. I kept smelling it throughout my day having different reactions, I actually wasn't sure if I loved it or hated it, but it drew me in. It's a very different composition from most on the market today. To me it doesn't really fit in any of the stereotypical perfume categories that seem to be popular now. I think that's what confuses people.... it's otherworldly and in a different league. It feels airy, cold, fruity, and sweet; yet earthy, warm, spicy, and deep at the same time. Giving you all of this at once, but in an organized, perfectly balanced way. It's just magic. I love reading all the comments here because so many other people had similar experiences where they had many different reactions to this little trickster. Oh and it lasts! It lasts all day. I love this, its different than my usual cup of tea, and I'm glad I stepped out of the box to experience this.

I actually tried this without knowing anything about it. I had no predispositions. I didn't see the notes or know the perfumer, and so when I tried it it was my raw reaction. Also, I don't know why I was surprised that the sweet fruity note was peach. After reading it I can completely isolate it, but before knowing it, to me i couldn't place it. It blended so well it became something else entirely to my nose before. It smells more distinguished. Not like peach juice or a real peach at all, but airy sweet. The whole thing reads a little chemically medicinal too, but in a good way. Maybe that's just me though, maybe other people smell true peach, but I don't. After I bought it and did a little reading on it, I was surprised at how little notes there were in it for how complex this is... and then I saw the name Francis Kurkdjian, makes sense now. He's a creative nose for sure.

zina saleh

i love it you know why ? because it's smells like entering LUSH shop and i love LUSH !

Marteta

My 30ml bottle comes without the tie. I am afraid it has already been reformulated as it doesn’t last nor project as expected.

lyrily

This one was a strange one for me. I ordered a few blind buys and loved all of them except for this one. I sprayed it and it was so sharp in the opening, I couldn't bear to put my nose within 20cm of where I had sprayed. The next day I smelt something good when I came home from work - it was my shirt from the day before! So I decided to try again, but it was the same screechy peach and patchouli.

A few days later I kept getting whiffs of it from my nightstand - it actually smelled really great in the cap, and I couldn't stop smelling it! Anyway, today I sprayed it again and it smells pretty great, can't stop putting my nose to my wrist! It's definitely sweet early on, almost gourmandish. The dry down is lovely too. I don't know whether there was something wromg with those first few sprays or if I just needed to familiarise myself with the perfume, but now I'm pretty glad to have a 90ml bottle of this.

okchristiney

I love this Burberry Black Parfum! It has to be my next top fragrances! It reminds me so much back in my youth the Mary kate and Ashley one parfum but not as loud, more refined and a little bit of Dior absolutely blooming, but not as bitter. This scent has a soft but warm, spicy floral scent to it. Its mildly sweet not cloying. Im 29 and I find this fragrance to be a sophisticated scent (not old by any means)!

JolieSucre

I purchased this a few months ago, thus had time to wear it in very cold weather as well as when a bit warmer.
The bottle is ok, though a little clunky.
First issue I had with it is its price, it's quite expensive.
About the scent itself - it performs well, has good sillage and staying power BUT the perfume, the smell isn't what I expected it to be.
It is too peachy and doesn't have that 'classic' Burberry creamy tang that I love and can detect in all their perfumes (except for Weekend). The note is creamy but rather minty and a bit dusty, oudy.
I can feel the musk, Kurkdijan's signature, it just doesn't blend well with the amber and the vanilla. More like white musk, perhaps.
The peach, the musk and the minty tang notes make the vanilla feel smoky and not sweet, strong or fragrant.
Overall the perfume smells dry, even if it's pleasant and peachy. Like dried peach jam with cold cream on top.
I don't see the hype, to me this is nothing special, just a pleasant, warm scent that performs well and is of good quality. I've never gotten any compliments, and to me it's a bit of an older lady scent as well. Makes me feel 'old' when I wear it.
As the scent itself is not what I am looking for, I have kept this in my closet for months, barely used after the first month of having it. Will probably give it away.

furryfleaae

I didn't like it on the first try a few years ago.
Decided to try it one more time and had to immediately buy a full bottle after that.

The opening is somewhat sharp and strong but only for a short period. Then comes the beautiful classy part.
The scent is round and smooth. I'm normally not a fan of patchouli. This one is very well-blended and there's no sharpy patchouli here. I would say it's a sexy scent but not too boldly. It's warm, gorgeous, and sophisticated.

Another masterpiece from Francis Kurkdjian :)

yoda_babe

This perfume makes me feel like a strong woman. I feel its aura is pushing everything to the side. My Burberry Black is solid, strong, prominent and potent. This is a scent to make yourself known to everyone in the room. It is both seductive and elegant. I love it so much.

peanutbuttercups

On my skin, this smells exactly like Turkish Delight candy.

The rose seems particularly dominant, with a heavy patchouli dry down. Given the other reviews, it seems like this a fragrance that reveals itself differently to each wearer! I do get some peach notes, but again, this seems to be mainly all about the rose for me.

It has good sillage and longevity, and if you spray some on a scarf it will last a LONG time. Good value, and a sophisticated evening scent.

Miss Dolittle

Hi, I just purchased this. The bottle is beautiful. Peach is predominate and seems to last. I don't smell woodsy, just peachy jam. Sillage is strong. Longevity about 5 hours on me. Tbh I'm not keen. I'm not into fruity scents. Thumbs down for me.

rusalkamoja

I adore this fragrance! It casts a spell- makes me feel beautiful, rich, and protected from care, if that makes sense. I 've had many compliment on this, including one from a doctor in an ER! It is warm and haunting at the same time and lasts forever. It is my favorite.

StinkyTinky

When I bought this perfume, there was a moment of enthusiasm when I first got my nose on it..
It has a nostalgic nuance. Almost like the DNA of a Gucci rush. They don’t smell the same, but it has an appeal of some of my early 2000’s favorite scents. The more aquatinted I become, I find less separation between this and the original My Burberry (which I also own..)
There’s just an introduction of a soft peach..
This could definitely be deemed the sexier of the two..but in my opinion if you have one, you don’t need the other..

igaczynienik

Wow! This reminds me of my childhood, smells warm and peachy, like a homemade jam. I love it! Amber, jasmin and peach are the most prominent notes. Bottle is just stunning! And it lasts! Highly recommended perfume ladies

kiraagold

I loved the rich fruity floral scent on the peelie, but when I tried it on in the store the amber punched me in the stomach and the patchouli hit me on the head with a hammer.

I got two compliments during my rush to the bathroom to scrub it off, and the guy said "ooh, nice," when I got home--my shirt cuffs actually smelled wonderfully of peachy rose jam.

So I wouldn't turn down a mini of this, to save for scarves, but not one for my skin.

Hd_Diana

It looks like me and Burberry don’t get along. I didn’t find a Burberry yet that I like. I got nauseated every time I wore this, a no for me. Long lasting though. Some people mention similarities with Coco Mad Intense, Allure or even Baccarat Rouge 540. In my opinion Burberry Black doesn’t have anything to do with those.

lizziepatricia

I have a really complicated relationship with My Burberry Black. I got it as a blind buy and wore it for a full day. It made my skin smell super sweet and warm, and had incredible lasting power on my clothing. I wore the same sweater again as soon as I could. This scent really develops over time. I don’t know how to describe it properly - maybe someone with more perfume savvy can articulate this better for me - but I almost returned this fragrance because it just didn’t sit close to the skin enough at first. My absolute favorite scents at the moment are Glossier You, l’Occitane Terre de Lumiere, and Clean Reserve Skin. I like woody, floral, masks that sit on the skin really closely, but I also want sillage and longevity. This is not a fresh scent and I think that was what had alienated me at first. It is sweet, deeply floral but not bitter, warm but not fresh, and there is something mysterious about it that makes me feel really sexy but almost like a different person. It was so sophisticated, warm, lasted forever on my skin and clothes, and ticked all the boxes, but it wasn’t as fresh and modern as I like to be most days. I am keeping it because despite my initial confusion I can’t stop putting it on day after day and I keep sniffing down my shirt when nobody is looking. Whether or not it is up your alley is something you will have to figure out, but it is amazingly crafted and a beauty to encounter.

Morbid85

This is one of my very long lasting perfumes. I would wear this in cold season, Smells elegant and rich. Amber and Patchouli is intensive . I dont overspray as it is strong in the beginning... It rest very well with the warm scent.

kayleenanncooke

I absolutely adore this. My dear friend swapped decants with me and I got to try this one out and oh my. Straight to my buy list. Absolutely beautiful peach and amber perfection with a dash of earthy patchouli and rose. This smells vintage to me. I adore it. Great longevity and projection.

res7artzz

Co worker walked by me this morning with this on. It was a love hate kinda smell. To much of it is nasty, but when she wore it the other day I could barely smell it and it was amazing! So less is more for my nose with this.

hamnas

Oh man😱😱😱This smells divine❤️One of the best smelling fragrance. I am 37 years old men and I am wearing this one today. Stunning fragrance💞 Jasmine, rose and peach blended together. Huh... Wow... Just two spray is enough. Beast mode projection for solid 4 to 5hrs really. Solid 24+ long lasting in my shirt. Absolutely gorgeous❤️ You want compliments? You want grab attention? You want smell amazing? You want a solid special occasion fragrance? Just get this and thank me later. Burberry you nailed it💯

JacquieDS

In love with this one

delightme5

I reach for this when im feeling in an Angel(TM) mood, because of that sweet candied note, but Angel still wins me over a ittle more. Burberry black still has endearing qualities, and a similar patchouli to Angel ..a bit of a brotherhood echo, which helps explain my incline to it.

Angel is less dense, easier to carry off. Bblack is heavier and cloaks you in a chypre like soft fur - especially initially (first 2 hrs)! Its still there later, but softer. Maybe winter is ideal for Bblack ?

It does its job very well and you get the pleasure of its peachy candied note (not completely realistic in your face peach) for hours, catching soft whiffs of it when it has faded back to a cushiony cloak like perfume. Bblack : Although it can become fluffy, it is still a touch heavier than Angel.
Remember im not comparing them, just saying I tend to reach for Bblack for its sweet candy juicy like peach note.

elliya1980

Longevity is amazing. Many types of perfume will disappear after 1 hour on my skin but this and burberry london have a longevity more than 5 hours on my skin. The opening is a little disgusting, too sharp and I have to hold my breath a little, but after it's dry for about 10 minutes, it's really beautiful. Sweet, fruity, a bit balsamic, classy, so it won't be cloying and won't bother anyone around you. This reminds me of dolce & gabbana the one essence. There is an intense aroma of peache and amber as well as jasmine and rose that smell thin behind. I chose my burberry black because it tends to be masculine at the end and is more durable on my skin.

swanscent

To my nose, It's an elegant syrupy peach with a hint of rose and amber. It's sweet without being too sweet, a nice evening fragrance. The peach is very prominent in this fragrance which gives it that sweet fruity vibe but somehow it's not youthful at all (unlike most fruity fragrances which I am not a huge fan of). This one is sophisticated, classy and luxurious. For me this is a comforting winter time fragrance. The projection is amazing and the longevity is excellent.

Overall it's an 8/10 for me

RachelSeun

My Burberry Black is an underrated masterpiece in my humble opinion. Everything from the bottle design to the scent itself evokes class. It is timeless, it is sophisticated, it is sweet but the sweetness never overwhelmes you. When you wear it, it announces you loud and clear as the projection on My Burberry Black is fantastic. One of the best fragrances in my collection, great for all occasions but best for the special ones.

—}—@ darlingbud

I’ve had my magical moments with My Burberry Black, which is sultry, smoky nectar characterized by the black velvet ribbon around its collar. It’s got some sillage. It’s gorgeous lingering on clothing. The original My Burberry is too sweet in the opening, too modest in the heart and too snuffy in the drydown for me.

divakitty24

I purchased my first Burberry when she came out " Brit Rhythm " and fell in love with the powdery floral / musky scent . I was purchasing on eBay another { must have } and found this one at an amazing price without knowing how she wears , if I would love or even like her , maybe she would be a total turnoff and I'd have to place in my " not for me bin " . I did come here after purchasing and was happy with my blind buy { notes were pleasing } I placed her on my vanity by small bronze of a nude male angel with arched wings and forgot about it . I'm bad like that , I get sidetracked so easily by other things and don't always remember what I was doing prior to being sidetracked , lmao . So I decided to try this and I'm in " lust " as my scentuals are mostly floral / oriental / musky / patchouli with some fruit " vibes " I don't like overly sweet unless balanced with warm and comfort notes . This is truly a blended beauty , no alcohol spritz , no cloying scent , no regrets . I get jasmine with patchouli right off , a nice bite of peach with a wonderful hint of a creamy & lush vanilla within an hour . I'm not sure here how the spicy comes in or what note { s } but I'm heels over head in love . She is just " sexy " this one is and she has become a must have in my perfume wardrobe of top 20 . I buy a second of all my loves when I can since I know they could get discontinued at anytime . This one I failed to act on , hell I didn't even try it , just placed it . This can in my opinion be worn day / night , all seasons since she is not an overwhelming scent . I can spend all day here and find more perfumes than I could possibly wear , but that has so not stopped me ~ Hi , my name is " Lisa " and I'm an addict , my drug of choice is " perfume " ~ I'm being sincere here , I'm that bad , although I have a friend that is worse than I am ~ She has so much they're in boxes and bags { where most of my get samples come from } she is running out of room ~ ///=^ } ~ lol ~

crystalistheone

Let Me start off by saying I bought this perfume due to all the good reviews on YouTube. Overall I do like the scent but the opening is disgusting it smells like something spoiled. After 15 or 20 minutes the dry down is very lovely and it’s moderate lasting, so if you can get past the initial spray it is a nice perfume.

Science&Scents

I bought the My Burberry pillar and this flanker at the same time and this was my favorite between the two. I appreciate the fruity addition that makes it thick and a little syrupy.

Absolute beast for performance and sillage even in the cold.

As others have said, the MB DNA is very present but this is not as stark or stuffy as the pillar. That heavy patchouli keeps it around for HOURS on the skin and I've picked up sweaters several days later to find I know the EXACT fragrance I had on when I last wore this. Definitely amber heavy and smells expensive.

I'm looking forward to picking this up again when the weather is cold but she's not allowed out during the heat--no way!

alexandraegay

My Burberry Black has been in my collection for years, and for good reason. A) It lasts a LONG time because it is quite strong, so you really don't need more than one or two well-placed spritzes to last you the whole day (the WHOLE DAY! not kidding), and B) because it's just deep, dark and seductive. I don't believe in seasonality for scents because I like to wear mine wherever, whenever (no matter what others may say), but I will say that this one is more of a winter scent given its heaviness, as well as the presence of cozy amber. The patchouli is potent, so if you're not a fan, steer clear. The other major note my nose readily picks up on is a nectar-y peach that gives this fragrance its fruity, cloying, syrupy quality. Overall, if you like heavier oriental-floral scents, this one is a great one to try out. If you do end up over-spraying it, you will certainly give yourself and others a headache lol, so use it sparingly. Personally, it'll always have a place in my collection...<3

DT953

I got this as sort of a blind buy. I had tried it, but had no recollection of what it actually smelt like. I vaguely remembered blackberry? Probably wrong there, but it was enjoyable. Purchasing it and trying it on for the first time was a task because this perfume is STRONG and I definitely oversprayed. The peach is there, centre stage, and there's a sweet amber accord surrounding it. It smells really unique... but I also know I've smelt it a lot. Smelling the Calvin Klein fragrance this reminds some people of now, I get that. Truly magical and stands on its own though. I'm not even a Burberry fan, but you can tell this was aimed at more than the 25 year old Londoner.

humaira_

from this range (my burberry, my burberry blush, my burberry black), i like this one the best. Its not that sweet, more floral, and deeper.

disintigratedwoman

Not a huge fan of Burberry perfumes in general.. but this one is quite well done. Smells rich, dark, grown-up and sexy. For some reason this scent reminds me of drinking alcohol by a fireplace on a cold winter night - sort of Christmas vibes, but dark and sexy. On my skin I get boozy peach and amber mixed in with the original Burberry DNA. It’s definitely a strong one so I recommend not to over-spray.

Don’t think I’ll be buying this one as I can’t see myself in very many situations where I’d reach for it, but I’ll definitely admire it from afar.

chicagogirl

4 months later, still one of my absolute favorite blind buys of all time. I also realized today which Estee Lauder perfume this reminds me of. Intuition! the amber note is exactly the same. The amber note in this also reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle Intense (not the original). This is way better with the peach though. It's more dynamic than CM Intense with far more depth.

My previous review:

What a beauty. It's a warm, cozy yummy perfume without being gourmand which is hard to find. The original is just too sickly floral for me but this one is perfect. A warm, cozy, ambery floral that has a slightly smoky vibe to it. It definitely has the original's DNA but the florals are toned down A LOT. It smells almost like an edible floral dessert. I just imagine a yummy cake with lots of edible fresh flowers on it and edible amber syrup. I can't distinctly smell a peach note but there is a warm fruitiness to it. In my opinion, the amber and floral notes are the star though. Sillage and lasting power are incredible. Lasts all day on clothes. It's a perfect cold weather, winter perfume. A lot of times I view florals as spring/summer scents but this is a perfect cozy winter floral. It's not edgy, seductive, super sexy etc (I love those kinds of perfumes but this one doesn't fall into those categories). Just a beautiful, soft, smoky elegant sophisticated scent.

senalica

Oh so beautiful! Very strong sillage and it lasts quite a while on my skin. The peach note is the strongest in the opening, then the amber comes in followed by rose and Jasmine. I'm not a fan of sweet fragrances, but this is so beautifully made, that I'm willing to forgive it's sweetness and say it's a big "like" from me!

juniemoon

This is so gorgeous, sexy, luxurious and rich. Lasting power is amazing. I own almost 200 fragrances and this is definitely in my top 20.

Pairs beautifully with Bath and Bodyworks' Sensual Amber bath gel and body lotion.

Perfumedsecrets

At first I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but it grew on me. The first time I sprayed this it smelled a bit spoiled like overly ripe peaches, but never since then. Now my nose smells this as well blended and complex after the first minute (the patchouli blasts in the opening). After that no note stands out, they all are a chorus singing at once. Very strong, long lasting, and will be noticed by others. This is as noir as Burberry gets. Good for a night out with friends, cocktails, or a date. If you're looking for a head turner this could be it.

froooh93

Deep and rich perfume, nice opining but it’s turn to heavy airless patchouli and amber, really uncomfortable base note. I loved My Burberry rush and original more.

ginchuginchu

A scent of opulence.

Deep, mysterious, rich amber combined with honeyed peach that invoke an intimacy enticement. Perfect for holiday evening, candlelight or fireplace, paired with velvet blackdress or satin lace slip for a night of oblivion.

LaUna

Starts out as a peppery rose with soft floral notes. It becomes stuffy and cloying very soon. Class turns to shass, (if that's a word). Amber, ylang ylang, rich white floral mixed in with pepper. I only like beginning of this perfume, rest of it no. It's too warm and smells like a burnt milk and spice after awhile. It starts classy and rich lady like, but smells up and I couldn't wait to wash it off. It lasts a long time, all day. I really wanted to give it a try. I find that Burberry has a strong ambery glue like base for several of their perfumes I tried, not a fan of it. This perfume is semi-intense. You could wear it in daytime if it suits you.

DrRosie

Wow! This is a fantastic juice. Burberry really put a lot of work into creating this perfume. I have not purchased Burberry in over a decade. The last one I had as a young lady was B. Weekend. that goes to show you how long it has been. I smelled this today at Nordstrom with my sister and a friend of ours we all agreed that this is work adding to my collection. As if I need another freaking perfume. This will be included in my new batch purchase after the new year. I think I am done purchasing for 2019.

LeggysMum

I adore this frag so much that after purchasing a 30ml, and deciding it was primarily for evening use, I have repurchased, this time 100ml, as I find myself craving it regularly.
.Sweet liquerish peach, rose sweetness and resonant depth.... Aaaah so good.
So yes, two purchases in a couple of months, joining my already extensive collection, but in a really regular rotation. Day and night, but maybe not so much for the really humid weather.... I guess that's up to the individual :)

SweetLadyForOne

I don't understand all the comparisons to the original my Burberry. I have both, and in my opinion they smell nothing alike.I'm considering selling my original my Burberry, because I don't really care for it. But this one here. This one is deep, and Rich, and sultry, and gorgeous. I love it! Fantastic performance as well.

It's fine, but it's nothing special to my nose. Very strong amber and honeyed sweet peach notes. I can also feel the woody notes in the base.

I think this perfume is more suited to colder days (fall, winter) and evenings rather than daytime.

Some people here in the comments said that the peach in this perfume isn't sweet enough... well, if you don't think this is sweet, do not try Lancome Tresor - you would hate that one! I myself, prefer Tresor to this. Less sweet, more interesting.

I wish there was an 'okay' option, next to the 'love' 'like' 'dislike' button. This is okay for me, I don't mind it.

Yet another blind buy for me. I figure anything that has a black bottle must be great... I have been proven wrong a few times... however, this wasn’t one of those times! I enjoy this scent a lot, and although not one of my absolute favourites, I receive quite a few compliments when wearing it (so it must be alright).

I tend to veer towards more spicy and rich scents, than sweet - but this has a great mix of both. It remains fresh smelling, while having a nice spicy undertone. I tend to wear it when on a date - so I have a small chance of not intimidating someone with a stronger/richer scent. I wear this with black turtlenecks and jeans, with my tall winter boots.

If My Burberry is great for sunny October days, then My Burberry Black is perfect for November evenings or late afternoons. Very rich, deep, warm, long-lasting, enhanced and more refined version of My Burberry (which is quite refined on its own). Rose is the note that makes the difference, the perfume is a bit less tart than My Burberry but not sweet either. Very aromatic rose/quince combination, perhaps with a tiny bit of amber to make it warmer and better-melted. Luckily though, the amber is barely there - enough of it to play its role effectively but not any more than that, which is great. I'm wearing this perfume with joy and pride these days. It's not a popular crowd-pleaser, rather a very elegant and quote universal scent for the fall. Different than anything else on the market - as most Burberry scents are.

Peach, a bit bitter, mossy patchouli, and sweet amber. I can detect them, and green rose and jasmine on the back of these three but blended well together. Feminine and masculine at the same time. It gets sweeter as the time goes, and the peach becomes more prominent to my nose. Smokey and sexy but rather neat, not dirty. This ended up the mixture of green rose, Patchouli, and the sweet peach. Last five hours on my skin.
I've received this as sample but am pretty sure buying a full bottle very soon.
