Mattesha Erotica

Smells exactly like any of the light colored/EDT flankers of Dior Addict. Very much the standard classic, watery, floral, type of perfume here. On my skin this surprisingly lasts quite a few hours.

mirrorghost

this opens with a lot of heliotrope and iris with hints of grapefruit and green notes. a typical cozy heliotrope but with an added zing from those brighter notes. it is like yves rocher lilas/trussardi my name but it's a bit more sweet and complex than those. a lovely purple spring floral.

hyesan12345

Am I the only one who thinks this one smells like an alcohol? I want to love it but it smells just ok.

rosykrystal

This fragrance has a soft floral and grassy note. The sillage and longevity is non existent. Even when I drenched my wrist in the perfume and I could not even pick up much of the fragrance unless I dig my nose into it. For a pricy perfume, its performance is completely trash compared to cheap drugstore fragrances.

This perfume smells exactly like "Lilas Mauve" from Yves Rocher. They don't have the same flower, one is lilas and the other one iris, but weirdly both smell the same to me. Smells good but it has air freshener vibe . Have a sample but won't be buying the full size.

meganlamode

Omnia Amethyst is such a beautiful, soft fragrance, perfect for Springtime. I can smell all of the notes, although the combination of them all gives a lilac feel to the fragrance. It's green, but also purple-flower-powdery goodness. It's light and inoffensive, but still has character because the scent profile isn't very common. Just lovely.

tfek

I smelled this scent when I was young and I remember that I liked it. Now, I have it in my collection, I still like it. It’s a light rosy, heliotrope scent. Smells so innocent and soft.

nomi00

cant hate it. i envision a magical pond in the forest surrounded by flowers and mossy wood. the green note makes this slightly interesting but its still kinda basic adjacent. just nice to spritz on in the spring and forget about but still pretty, so a safe choice. just a like for now

carla huaiqueo

Versatile perfume for a daily use. It has a fresh opening and lasts with musky and powdery notes. Good for the price and I would recommend it

Yoon19

I had it in 2014, and I really liked it, it was so long lasting I even still can smell it after 8 hours. Its been a long time, and I repurchased it like a week ago, and it was like spraying water to your skin, after 10 sprays its gone in 1-2 hours and I can't smell anything, I guess it got reformulated. Very disappointing

oil1122

beautiful smell can't believe that i just ever tried this last year 😊

where hv i gone?😅

As a powdery and Iris/Heliotrope notes fan, I am amazed by this perfume. Absolutely adore it. It is soft, feminine, gentle, office friendly and very classy.

I remember being addicted to this smell when I was a child. I haven't forgotten its smell ever since. that was like more than 10 years ago. I'm 20 now. This smell is very nostalgic to me, I have yet to smell a scent like this that makes me swoon. I hope they continue to produce it for a long long time.

fangpili

This is interesting. It's very much a delicate, crisp spring day perfume to me. There are three obvious notes, green sap, iris and heliotrope. This is not quite melancholy but is a soft, reflective mood; it's the morning dew as opposed to after the rain and therefore feels like a slightly brighter complement to Guerlain's Apres l'ondee. It's not one I'd wear every day but is a nice one for the collection when there is a certain season and mood.

22dxb

my signature scent when i was still in uni. the only thing that's holding me back to purchase a bottle again is the insanely popularity of this perfume. when i wear this everyone would surely know it's bvlgari amethsyte haha still 10/10 for me

WhiteFlowerPrincess

Though it's not my usual style of fragrance, I actually quite like Omnia Amethyste by Bvlgari. It is very powdery, sweet, feminine, floral and spring-like. I love the lavender colored bottle too. It's beautiful.

I can smell mostly the powdery floral smell of the iris and heliotrope in this, with a hint of citrusy and slightly dirty smelling grapefruit. I get a tiny hint of rose too, but both much I must admit. I smell an almost gourmand vanilla too, though it's not listed here.

The feeling this perfume gives me is that of a fairy glen filled with purple fairies and heliotrope flowers covered in beautiful monarch butterflies. The butterflies are powdery themselves and are becoming even more powdery from the flowers. The fairies ride on these butterflies backs and collect honey from the flowers in their little pots.

I had medium sillage from Omnia Amethyste and also moderate longevity. It lasted about 5 hours on my skin. I think that this fragrance would be perfect for either spring or summer during the day.

This is why I'd give this lovely gem an 8/10!

I hate to say this has been another complete miss from the Omnia line. I had the OG first; spelled like spiced rubbing alcohol. I sold it and then purchased this one. I was so excited to finally have this and thought I’d love it but yet again… I’ve got another alcohol heavy scent. I’ve left it in my closet for a few weeks now, thinking perhaps it’s because of all the heat it was exposed to during transit to me (I live in Florida). I’ll be giving it another try soon but if this one lets me down again, I think I’m gonna have to give it up trying the Omnias. I’m hopeful that won’t be the case though!
UPDATE:
After letting it sit in my dark closet for like 3 months… this has moved up from a 😐 to a 🙂. I’m not obsessed with it or anything, but it is a nice scent to just throw on when all your normal go-tos just aren’t what you’re in the mood for at the moment. The heliotrope is really lovely in this too. The only thing I really dislike about the bottle is, well, the bottle. It’s beautiful and unique and pretty and represents an era (in my opinion) when you’d see these bottles in every magazine, but it’s not really practical. Mine always starts dribbling down the front of the bottle as I’m spraying myself and I’m guessing it’s because I’m not keeping the same steady pressure as I move the bottle around to spray it everywhere I want to. Am I making sense? Anyway, besides the finicky bottle, this scent has been upgraded from “meh all I smell is floral alcohol, like I have with every other Omnia 😔” to “oooh okay this is quite nice for an easy scent you can wear anytime!” Sooo, there’s my very long winded thoughts.

Erincess

The only demerit of this perfume is that its too famous. Its a charming romantic perfectly harmonized masterpiece. Its divine. Its magical. Any other variety words for excellent and beautiful are for this.
I love this. Purple magic.

memelordxxv

Yikes, smells like ballpoint ink to me. I was hoping I'd like the powdery iris notes but nope, I didn't. It smells pretty generic to me.

taffetaskirt

Lovely, like fairy-breath. Ethereal lilac and a murmur of grapefruit. Perfect for spring. The powdery undercurrent registers to my nose as a clean, expensive, cosmetic-like smell. Omnia Amethyste is a light scent with low sillage, inoffensive, gentle. It's a bit too light and clean for me, but I gave my mini to my girlfriend because it's still a scent I love to smell on others.

Omnia amethyste makes me feel like I'm walking barefoot in a garden of purple flowers, the grass beneath me damp with morning dew, the sky lightening above. I'm on my way to meet someone I love, or maybe I'm still half dreaming. Dragonflies flit around me, wings reflecting the sun. I can feel a breeze, my dress light against my ankles.

Thranduil

Iris and heliotrope bliss! 💕

Omnia Amethyste reminds me of Flower by Kenzo given both perfumes are powdery scents but, whereas I found Flower too much for my nose (and I ended up gifting it to a coworker who ADORES it), Omnia Amethyste is ENCHANTING; the perfect balance of flowery and powdery.

lilachuu

very versatile perfume, could be worn whether on a casual day, or at work. sits well on my skin, it makes me smell powdery at first, a bit like a baby, but after awhile it becomes a bit sweet but gentle, a bit like lilac, which is my favorite type of scent.

Tyrandemoon

At first I didn't really like this fragrance, I received it as a gift along with Omnia Coral, and the latter was clearly my favorite. I almost finished my 25ml bottle of Omnia coral and one day I decided I'd give Amethyst another shot. And to be honest I don't know why I didn't give it a chance earlier, I guess I was to taken by the bright floral and fruity explosion of Coral that I didn't really appreciate Amethyst at the time. While Coral smells very bright fresh and young, Amethyst is more descreet, it's still very floral but the powderiness kinda calms it down and gives some kind of warm softness. The sillage is very average, at least on me, it sits very close to my skin. And the vibe it gives off is office perfume, coral is more for a brunch out with your friends where your bright and fun personality shows up, Amethyst is more for work, meetings, a calm and grounded scent that gives off the vibe of someone who has it together. I like that it doesn't project a lot, you smell it only if you get close to the person or get a faint scent when you sit next to them. The good thing is that I kee smelling it on my clothes even a day after, but on my skin it lasts about half a day and I might need to reapply. I'm happy I gave it a second chance cause it's not usually the type of perfumes I go to, never was into powdery frags or even lilac/iris smells, but this one has managed to get the perfect balance without turning too much into laundry smell. I think it fits for both day and night as it has some warm woodsy notes on the dry down that are not too prominent which makes it suitable for an evening out (for my taste at least) and I'd use it during spring and not so hot summer days. I don't think it would work with extremely hot and humid weather. I think it also fits perfectly for fall too cause those base earthy notes have a rainy-day vibe. I wouldn't see that I love it though, Omnia Coral remains my absolute favorite, but Amethyst still wins.

ech0

Very good scent of lilac blossoms. I'm surprised this is not mentioned in the Notes section because it is so evident and it is the strongest part of this smell. I wouldn't say this is iris as mentioned there, iris is different. But here the lilac is sweeter than the real blossoms. Lilas Mauve by Yves Rocher is closer to the original, more natural, but both of these are very very good.

YlangLover0912

This perfume is romantic , aquatic , magical like a fairytale between a garden of wisterias and lilacs.

I was looking something similar to Lilac from Yves Rocher and I finally get it.

But first I wanted to try it.
The projection is tricky sometimes is there blooming at your skin and somewhat it fades somewhere…like a fairy jaja.

This perfume is light , feminine , and brings harmony to the senses , specially good option to takeout anxiety.
I would use this perfume before going to sleep after bathing.

I would pair it with Orris root and resinous accords to give it depth and masculinity, and a little bit of fruity accord ( like plum , red berries or something quite sparkling ).

The longevity is about 7 hours , after 3 hours it is a skin perfume so it is quite intimate and romantic.

joannabelle

Bvlgari Omnia is powdery at first, but dries down to a green, floral, kinda peppery? scent. This scent is comforting and leans feminine. Not getting much grapefruit or woodsy scent (but then again I'm a beginner in fragrances so take this review with a grain of salt :) ).

A pretty and versatile perfume. It's cozy, clean, and easy to grab for uni/office days as it is inoffensive. It sits quite close to the skin and lasts around 4-5 hours on me. It's elegant but not really giving old lady. Rather like a young adult who's pretty and intelligent.

Paolavvh

SakuraFalls

What a nice suprise! On the day I smelled this I decided to smell every fragrance in the store.
Some I went nose blind to. This was so so nice. It smelled comforting, and familiar. Not in a way that reminds me of anyone who wears it. It smells like a fragrance I would pick up because I like to smell good and also smell different from the rest of the crowd. I can't imagine this offending anyone. I can't say I tried it on me, so I don't know if it likes me back chemically or not. It smells amazing strait from the bottle to air and to the paper strip.

Bomber81

I found a 25ml Jewel Charm of "OMNIA CRYSTALLINE" by BVLGARI at SDM for $21. Also found "Coral'. I already had Crystalline and love it, this was a backup bottle, but since I'm visiting my parents in another province, I decided to open the box and wear it while I'm here. On the bottle it says, "Omnia Amethyste" and does not smell like the bottle I have at home.
Does anyone have Chrystalline in 25ml? Does your Jewel Charm bottle say Amethyste? I'll probably end up taking it back, even though I do love it.. why is this messed up? Shoppers Drug Mart isn't selling fakes, are they?

VioletPinetree

Update: Two months later, this is one of my top 10. It took a while to grow on me and is great for layering or when you just want to smell fresh and clean. I can smell the more complicated notes the further away I am from my period. When I’m on my cycle week, straight up baby powder. Hormones are interesting!

Original Review: This one is a head-scratcher for me. I LOVE violet perfumes but I don't detect ANY in here. Perhaps its the difference between Iris and Violet that smells so powdery but, not in the way I truly like. To my husband and I it smells straight up like Johnson & Johnson baby powder. All I smell is powder and rose. Barely any grapefruit at the beginning, it is a faint wisp that quickly fades away. No green for us. My husband thinks it should be sprayed on towels and linens. I love Cedar Violet by Aerin and Balenciaga Paris or even straight up Choward's Violet Candies (Bourbon French Parfums makes an single note Violet that smells just like it!) But this, just smells like baby powder to us. Brand new box but the batch code says 3 years old when I check the internet so, maybe that has something to do with it. Got a full bottle new in plastic blind buy for cost. I'll be keeping it for the humid summers here when I'm feeling gross and maybe my second spritz of perfume mid work day as Coco Mademoiselle Intense can be too much to spray again (even though I work outdoors on the beach where it's often windy and breezy). Won't buy again but it was a steal and I think I can find a use for it. Powder and soft roses is all I get on my oily Mediterranean skin. (insert shrug emoji here) Gave it an OK on the smiley reviews. Would recommend for any time of day if you like this and any season except fall. Silage seems to be two hours on me. Projection is pretty big at first but then quickly dies down.

Frantheone

I bought this impulsively, since I had only tried it once on me (I have to try a perfume at least twice before I decide whether I'm buying it or not) but I got a really good price for it and I decided to go on.
It is an iris forward perfume with woodsy vibes and noticeable heliotrope. I have decided that I am not an iris person, and at first the iris-wood-heliotrope combo was very unfamiliar to me as I remembered it more soapy but I wore it for the second time today and it has started to grow into me.
It's really nice for the office, gives me professional vibes since it's subtle but noticeable.
I do not recommend blind buying it, the wood notes can be tricky, but I'm glad I'm trying something new.
I'll be doing edits on this.
Edit 1: This is the perfume you want to wear when you walk into the meeting room and you want to have everybody thinking "wow, that girl knows what she's talking about". It's a smart girl perfume, they know it when you enter.
Won't last from 9-5 however, you'll need to re-apply during lunch.
Édit 2: Layer it with Narcisso for Her, it smells more sophisticated and deep.
Edit 3: I realized the note that doesn't work on my skin so well isn't the woods but heliotrope.
Edit 4: If you happen to have both this and Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lavender pair them together and you'll get an incredible soapy result.

JuanitaChristensen

My favorite out of the Bvlgari Omnia collection. I get the iris a lot more than the rose, but I wouldn't classify it as fruity/floral. But it's one of the best smelling perfumes I've had!

clairesque

Smells more mature and old-fashioned than the bottle design would suggest. This is a great choice for the iris lover who doesn't want a dark, masculine, earthy iris. It's a clean iris with just a hint of sweetness.

Emma K

I have a mini of this and have tried it at different times if the year to see if it works on me and unfortunately it doesn’t. It reminds me of the way the ladies who worked in my dads office when I was a kid smelled. They were really nice ladies, but their perfume always made me feel sick.

malikun

Another beautiful creation by genius Alberto Morillas, I am in love. When I was a kid, the kindergarten where my parents took me had an alley with lilac bushes on both sides. I remember walking down that alley on chilly spring mornings like it was yesterday. Since then lilac scent always gives me that sense of security and light-heartedness of the youth. Omnia Amethyste is beautiful in the dry down and the top layer, so I don't mind reapplying it. I think it is suitable for spring and summer, and it is going to lift up your mood on rainy days<3

Petrichor31

I blind bought a full tester bottle of Amethyste a few months ago based on positive reviews. I am so pleased with this fragrance & love the unique, creative design of the Bvlgari Omnia bottles. In addition, this design doesn't have a cap so a tester bottle of these is a great option.
The fragrance notes are well blended into a seamless & balanced whole creation.
This scent transports me to an early morning in a dewy, spring garden. For me, it evokes the happy feeling of new beginnings, hope & possibilities. I especially love wearing this on rainy days. I use 3-4 sprays & it lasts 4-5 hours with arms length sillage. I anticipate keeping Amethyste in my fragrance wardrobe & wearing it for many years to come.

laurens_perfume_closet

I suppose there is something in this little gem that dances with my skin chemistry, because this is my top complimented perfume. I can't say it's my personal favorite of the Omnia line but I do really enjoy it and I love all the flattery it gets me. It's a super easy reach perfume, something I can wear to run errands or wear to a meeting. I love that it's called Amethyst because it's my favorite stone. People have used the words "dewy", "soft", "Pretty", "delicious", "powdery", and "captivating" when describing it to me. Longevity is mid.

Dawnya7b

Pretty but nothing worth running out and buying a full bottle for. Dry down is better than the opening. Happy with my 5ml decant I got for free with a full bottle of another fragrance.

Lakreutter

Wow, so pretty! Very soft and light, beautiful green notes sweetened with rose and a dab of citrus. I wish this was 5x stronger. It’s beautiful but the scent does disappear very quickly. Reminds me of Light Blur but without the cedar and not as sharp. Clean, floral beauty

eva.daisy.88

I sprayed myself extensively with this perfume at the airport store. But I applied 6 sprays and I almost can’t detect the perfume. It’s very delicate. I get mainly the iris note, with a bit of citrus. Great for someone afraid of intense scents. Not for me ☺️

skybunny

I really don't think this is a powdery perfume. There is some in it, but for powder to be on top of the scent pyramid is misleading. I would rearrange the pyramid like this:

iris
woody
floral
violet
green
powdery
earthy
citrus

Anyhow, I really love this and for the price it's unreal. This is a gloomy spring perfume that leans unisex. I like spring scents, but more rainy day shade flowers under overcast skies, less roses on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I guess you could say this is a very moody, goth spring perfume. I need to grab a big bottle of this :)

Thaïssia

I do not get any powderiness in it. This fragrance smells to me like fresh aquatic iris with a slight touch of citruses. The most natural blooming iris I've found so far. There are no carrots, lipstick or powder. It is just fresh floral to my nose. It is a pity that the longevity and sillage are weak on me. Maybe I should try layering it over "molecules"...

yeesa_

Soft sweet powdery. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do but it is slightly old ladyish smelling

BethyBee

My first impression was "mmm"! Lovely fresh and greenish floral. But! But! I severely oversprayed and I can barely smell it. I won't give up though, it's too pretty.

Noneyabiddness

I love this scent. I wore it when I got married, so it evokes beautiful memories for me. It’s light, and not overpowering, so you can pretty much wear it anywhere.

churinl

I'm not sure if I love it or just like it yet. It's nothing terribly unique, just well done and oh so pretty and feminine. Now that my bottle of Drole de Roses seems to be turning, this may be what I will reach for on my "I just want to feel pretty" days, at least until I can replace DdR. Balenciaga Paris is a contender too!
Clearly you must love powdery scents in order to even like this. The heliotrope dominates, but the iris isn't diminished at all. I really wish it was an EDP because I'm sure the longevity is mediocre at based based upon my experiences with other Omnias, but it really is a great scent for the spring.
EDIT - after sitting and settling for a few days, I think it's a love.

gigakurnia

This is a crowd pleaser, safe blind buy scent. It is nice, beautiful, delicate, powdery, and non offensive. Can be a proper office fragrance. I usually do not really like powdery scent, but this is one of the few that I like. The longetivity is quite good, but the sillage is not really.

Rosy Ricecooker

I like this. I find it comforting.

I won't pretend to know what real lilacs smell like, but this smells like everything I've ever bought that claimed to be lilac, from wax cubes to cleaner to perfume, and I always assumed it was lilac, so I'm surprised to see it isn't.

The powder isn't baby powder to me, but I get the "powder" descriptor.

It smells like a warm, humid spring afternoon, the air thick with moisture and heavy blooms of what I would have guessed were lilacs. That powdery flower smell that makes the air sweet and almost too thick to breathe.

dezie_pinx

my grandmas signature scent. it doenst smell old lady ish though, just calming and powdery. readlly nice for people who are sensetive to strong scents. love this very nostalgic

aweso10

the first powdery scent that i actually enjoy! it's giving a walk in the park meets polymer clay from the arts and crafts store meets fruit salad. the floral notes compliment the woodyness very well! i can totally see how it would be too much for some though.

thebloff

Play-doh

SimonsTux

Very crisp, sharp, light. I received this as a gift and it's really not my type of scent, I prefer gourmands. Used as a bathroom spray. The atomizer sprays very concentrated straight out.

JuliusW65

The dry-down really reminds me of Alien Eau Sublime

raerrr

This was gifted to me by a coworker. We both didn’t like it, so I gave it away too! Just thinking about this gives me a headache! I usually like powdery scents but this one did not sit well with my skin chemistry. Iris and heliotrope are hard for me to find that don’t send me into a migraine attack. Too sharp and extremely synthetic for me.

Maddyluvsfragrances75

Such a beautiful soft scent, long lasting. Expect compliments with this gem.

Can'tstopFragranceAddict

This was an instant love at first sniff.
It’s a almond and Iris fragrance.
You get the slight rose and the grounding woodsy notes but this is a beautiful powdery and slightly clean from the green notes but almond scent from the helIotrope is so beautiful and feminine. I think this is a easy blind buy and fantastic gift for your sister, auntie, mom, wife. It’s longevity is pretty good and a complement getter. She is a winner ❤️

Goosegal999

About 13 years ago a sales clerk at Macys was wearing this. She smelled so beautiful and feminine so I asked her what it was and she showed this to me. I would never have went for a scent like this at the time as I was into bright, fruity, young fresh scents back then but the beautiful, powdery loveliness intrigued me! I tried it on myself at the store and had two people come up and ask me what it was while I was still in the store and one of those people went and purchased it!
I have gone through a couple bottles of this since and still love it. I will say I do not find it lasts long on me unfortunately!
I get a lot of Iris and Heliotrope and very light green notes. I do not pick up much of the citrus. This beauty was my gateway drug into powdery scents and now I absolutely love them! This is no longer my favorite powdery Iris scent but I still enjoy it and it can be found pretty cheap and I’m pleased to keep a bottle in my collection!

Adriennne

This is my favorite Bvlgari scent. Long lasting and smells crisp and unique. Love it. Very classy smell. The vanilla is not very prominent. Very clean and feminine

karlikarli

The smell and bottle are beautiful; clean and soapy with a hint of vanilla. The problem is, for me, it lasts all of 2 minutes. After about 5 minutes I can’t even smell it on me anymore.

bxdfx

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Out of all BVLGARI Omnia releases, this one is probably the only one I don't get tired of. It smells like fresh blooming lilac - so warm, fresh, and addictive. I don't even know why lilac isn't indicated as one of the top notes in this scent. Also, I might be wrong but I smell strong fruity musk right after lilac which makes it extra special and warm.

sodalite

This is NOT AT ALL the type of fragrance I typically like, so I was shocked to discover that I absolutely love it! It smells fresh, sweet, and clean.

Adriennne

I remember that a colleague of mine was wearing this years ago. She smelled divine. I had to know the name of the scent. Years after I bought it and I am on my third bottle now. I love it. It smells unique and I have never smelled something like this. Smells soft and floral and woody and projects well without suffocating you. Very feminine. This one and Omnia Crystalline EDT are my favourite Bvlgari scents for women.

* It is powdery but not as powdery as Narciso Rodrigues Poudree.
* It is green but not as green as Chance Eau Fraiche.
* It smells like heliotrope, iris and woods.
* Has the best lasting power from Omnia line.
* Good office scent.

I just love it!

scnofthcrime

On my skin this is very dewy and fresh. To me this just smells clean, but is slightly more interesting than a body wash. I don't think this scent is blazingly original, but it is one I tend to wear to the office (I work in the kind of office where nobody wears fragrance so I tend towards very soft scents for work) as it's soft. Weirdly it's one of the few I've been complimented on which surprised me because I always felt like this didn't have much projection.

vrinsun

So soft and beautiful! My favorite one from
The Bvlgari omnia line !
Fresh and powdery scent, smells very gives me Eclat D’arpage and D&G light blue vibes
I’m in love❤️

WijayantiKusuma

This is an appropriate perfume, powdery, green, feminine, pleasant, not offensive, suit for office wear. It’s just beautiful, plus it’s an affordable fragrance. The only downside is you need to reapply it every 2 hours, or spray it on your clothes for better lasting hours. But if you’re like me who don’t mind reapply perfume every hour, go get it!

valevaleria

I am trying to figure out why I didn't care about this one before, and I guess that the notes listed above just did not seem to look good for me, however, here I am... loving it. It is floral, femenine, classy, long lasting and not a massive scent. It is winter right now, but I totally think that this could work all year long.

Veronjn111

Its alright, but i cant really get through the hint of playdough that WONT go away on my skin. I definitly prefer the Omnia Coral or Omnia Paraiba

Ashalia

This is my first purchase in the Bvlgari-Omnia line of fragrances. I don't smell anything citrus with this scent. I think it's interesting that people are smelling lilac. While there's a floral scent, I don't think it necessarily is a lilac smell on my skin. I believe the heliotrope stands out the most on me. Purple is a very appropriate color for this bottle. This is a delicate, powdery perfume, nothing that screams mature. I would recommend for someone who is in their 20's or 30's. I think it lasts a moderate time period (3ish hours) before respray is needed.

GrayMagick

This one was among my first ever perfumes. Really far from my usual, but mom got this for me as a gift because of the colour and name so I can't dislike it.

Its ok. Nothing really deep or exotic. A conformist, inoffensive fragrance. Slightly distant, fresh and bitter. I feel like Amethyste is for an introverted, regural girl with an ever so slight twist in her personality.
I detect absolutely zero heliotrope, powder or woodiness. Its straight up bitter-citrus, violet and fresh cut grass on me. Performance is definitely not so good, but hey, its just Bvlgari after all.
Obviously a daytime perfume, no age range (theres no such thing anyways).

spicypepper_77

I like this scent, its not too intense but leaves a mild trail. Another womanly scent I am drawn to. I would recommend this for office wear, or date with friends ;)

ioniqita

I love this! It's such a great no-brainer perfume when I'm not sure what scent I want to wear for the day. It's light, airy, and sweet but not cloying. Just the right amount. I think the longevity of this is just right for how it smells like. I feel like if this were any heavier, I'd get a headache. Some would say it's basic but it's such a lovely scent, IMO. I get why this is popular.

Steph_S

My opinion of this has changed several times - from yuck, to it's ok, to I like it. It's never reached the I love it status and leans more towards "it's ok". The opening is confusing. The first spray is tart, bitter and floral at the same time. Maybe this is the grapefruit, but it just comes off as bitter to me, no citrus at all. I almost washed it off because it completely threw me off. But after a while, the fragrance softens. The bitterness completely disappears and the fragrance totally transforms to a soft powdery floral. It's a bit old-fashioned (or vintage if you prefer), but it's nice - still not a love.

ea.hannah

If you're a fan of the Marc Jacobs Dream Twinkle, this a good alternative but with lower sillage. Definitely a 'clean' scent, but not in the laundry detergent way. The iris and woodier notes stand out the most, the rest almost barely there. If it just had a higher sillage it would be worth a lot more.
In comparison to the Rose Goldea collection, this beats it by far. To be honest, the opening smelled like raw alcohol- highly unpleasant. No less than two minutes later, the smell completely changes into more of a citrusy/powdery scent in the best way. Smells fresh and ready.
If someone were to wear this, they'd be a straight A student with good looks and a great record, a charmer really.
7/10 would recommend.

downtomars13

I can barely smell it on my skin 2 hours later. I smell the violet/iris and it is mildly powdery. Would be a keeper if it had any longevity or sillage. It is floral but not overly so. I really wanted to like this.

Eau de Hanneli

I first smelled Omnia Amethyste on a coworker, it struck me as a beautiful scent so I asked her what she was wearing. I purchased this fragrance as a young adult, one of my first designer fragrances.

I get a crisp iris, softened with subdued rose and woods. The heliotrope is well balanced with the green and grapefruit notes that preserve a sense of freshness with Omnia Amethyste. It doesn’t fade into powdery oblivion in my skin.

For an EDT I am impressed with the performance and longevity. The atomiser annoys me, I’m on my second bottle and both times it turns into a single stream of liquid, meaning I cannot spray clothes so they smell like the most divine clean laundry. I actually decanted into another atomiser at one point.. Omnia Amethyste is an elegant, unobtrusive and versatile fragrance.

betsyglez8

Amathyste …
From the name I totally baptized this perfume as my yoga scent. And then it converted in to my everyday gym scent .

I heard in Korea this is the scent all woman use and also it’s a very easy office scent .

I can see why . This perfume gives me this put together clean not over powering or súper soapy . Just clean and nothing insinuating about it .

This is a good one . If your looking for clean and calm .

MineFujiko

Smells EXACTLY like Lanvin Eclat.

Klio

Woody iris.
Soft, inoffensive, clean - very shampoo like.
Compared to other "purple perfumes" it is not heavy powdery scent, I would describe it as fresh powdery (if that makes sense).

brenda.watts.1

A lovely soft iris. Poor longevity.

punky9791

I just ordered a few samples and decided to try this one for Easter Sunday, especially since it came recommended as a good non-white-floral scent for spring. But something about this rings of gardenia or magnolia to me, along with a tropical note? I am wondering if I received the wrong sample because based on the notes and the reviews I definitely expected something along the lines of powdery floral/vanilla ,not tropical white floral. Has anyone else picked up on a warm tropical note with this one?

RRHouse

The opening is fresh and floral- grass & iris. I don't get any citrus/pink grapefruit. After dry down, I keep sniffing myself wondering if any rose will appear, but it doesn't. On my skin this is primarily a light powdery iris with a subtle scratchy woody background. I love heliotrope, but it doesn't appear on my skin either. I'm disappointed, since i bought this primarily for the heliotrope base note with rose middle. The woody base note is similar to vetiver IMO, which I don't like. Omnia Amethyste is generic and forgettable on my skin, so this is a pass for me. I'm glad I bought the three bottle gift set to try this (it contained Omnia Crystalline, Pink Sapphire and Amethyste). I do think this would be a safe light powdery fresh office fragrance for a more mature woman, as it is not offensive or alluring.
Rating: 5/10
Projection: 3/10
Blind Buy: no, sample it first.

botany28

Floral and fresh, a bit sweet. Inoffensive. Not super powdery for me. I'd imagine a spritz or two would be a safe choice for any environment/situation. It leans heavily feminine for me. It's nice, and delicate, and also utterly boring and forgettable.

Helena99

It's a fresh and clean scent. Where I live we only have two seasons but this is what I imagine Spring would smell like. Only drawback I think is that it doesn't last very long.

vodca

i don't know why this one is so popular, for me it is so so. i am ok with it...

kiraagold

Purple flowers made of glass.

Opens with a breath of citrus and wet green, but then gets cool and clear the way that all the Omnias do, this time with powdery iris that blooms for a hour, and heliotrope at the bottom that lasts all morning.
Some faint woods close to the skin give it a pretty solidity, like a crystal vase with a heavy base.

There's an interesting fragile-but-strong vibe to it.

Mlmem

I used to wear this frag in high school for ages until I finally got sick of it (I constantly bought full bottles of stuff and would inevitably tire of them quickly).

I've rediscovered my love of fragrances recently and have been on a sample spree. I tried a sample of Glossier You recently and lo and behold I immediately thought of Omnia Amethyste. They smell SO similar, powdery purple iris. I don't think I would be able to distinguish them if I had them both in front of me.

Brings back such memories! Great scent.

cookygirl

More than anything, for me this scent evokes freshly laundered linen.
It's pleasing, gentle, nicely balanced and totally inoffensive yet for some reason I don't really find it that compelling. I much prefer others from this series that have more 'life' to them.
Moreover, as the poster below me pointed out, it has very poor staying power. Now, I could live with poor staying power - I don't mind reapplying or even changing up my scent mid-day.
The problem for me is that this scent is very faint on me even when freshly applied. It has literally zero projection and I can barely detect it on myself nor can anyone else who comes near me.
That to me is a fatal flaw. I will not be repurchasing unfortunately.

Phantomias

A lovely unisex scent with almost no lasting power and sillage. The omnia line has been hit and miss where performance is concerned. I like this perfume, if it performed better I'd love it.

ggdan

It's a really soapy, powdery lilac to me. Very clean, feminine, soft, but not especially memorable. The sillage is surprisingly strong but it's gone in a couple of hours on my skin.

furryfleaae

Pleasant powdery scent, well blended with the heliotrope. It seems light and innocent until the musky base appears, which makes it more mature.
I have more than 100 scents on my shelf but still buy this one over and over again. It’s a safe scent. When I don’t know what to wear, I always pick Omnia amethyste.

azy

i have use this perfumes for more than 10year and still my favaurite.
i have more than 30 difference scents just i case i got bored and need to try other scents.
but i still choose this bvulgari omnia amethyst almost every day.
i got a lot a lot of compliments using this perfume.
and i have purchase more than 5 bottles so far.
the scents last really long, more than 12hours.
i usually sprayed it around my ears, neck and shoulder, 1 pump at the right side and 1pump at the left side every morning is enough for the whole day.

Swedelish

I bought a bottle again after not thinking much of it years back and so glad I did. Amethyste's top notes pair the best with this "Crystalline" base imo, the base that is apparent in every Omnia flanker. I think of Crystalline as the naked one, the one exposing all of its family secrets. And that base is really benefited by the veil of powdery purple flowers Amthyste provides. I like original Omnia, Crystalline, and even Coral but to me there was always something rough and a little disjointed about them. Not this one.

I definitely see the lilac reference others mention. Love, Chloe is mostly lilacs for me, despite its plethora of other purple flowers, and although they don't smell alike, I get a very similar lilac with this. Amethyste is like a lovely fabric softener that might be called "Lilac Hills" or something like that. Sometimes I'm in the mood for fresh laundry scents and that's really what this is, with added woods in the base. It's not screechy clean or high pitched. It's comforting and warm. You know how liquid fabric softeners have a milky, powdery base and whatever scent they add is in the top? That is the impression Amthyste gives me. It also brings to mind ambient light, minimal makeup and an oversized white Tee on an effortlessly beautiful woman.

If you like powdery or fresh laundry type scents, this is an easy choice. It's understated, well blended. A real standout, along with Green Jade. These two are the most unique, counting original Omnia, which isn't all that special now that I think about it. I see it's still in production, which is a relief considering many companies hack the good ones first. Because it's so versatile and easy to go overboard on the sprays I may need a backup.

Edit: Backup obtained 😁

Aliciaenelespejo

Best naif fragrance ever! This feels like a hug from a sweet, inocent friend. So lovely... I have had it for over 10 years and it does not agree with the image i want to project at this point in my life, but i still use it as an aromatherapy. A soothing smell.
It only brings good thoughts.
I think it's a perfect pregnant/maternity fragrance because it is so tender, powdery, pure and overall: happy. Also it's not overpowering at all but stays for very long (on clothes, days). I would wear this to go to a baptism for example or a toddlers birthday party. Or to a day wedding in the spring since it is also very refined. I believe that most Bvlgari fragrances give this effortless elegance.

Nijntje

Agree with other reviewers, this totally reminded me of lilacs. I love the scent of lilacs, always have.

Unfortunately, after a couple of minutes, the lilacs are joined by a flower I can't stand. Maybe the juice soured on my skin, but the scent reminds me of white lilies, the kind that stink up the living room after they've spend a couple hours in a vase. The iris is a close cousin to the lily. The result is a sad bathroom spray on my skin.

The opening is really lovely, but the development is horrible and not at all purple on me. The iris is one of those polarizing flowers. So if you, like me, hate iris or other types of spring florals, you'd best skip this one.

stacia79

This smells like pastel purple. It is a gorgeous spring floral. Green leaves and fresh heliotrope. Really beautiful. Like a chiffon dress fluttering in the breeze. A picnic in the grass. New love. Sweet beginnings. I don't see lilac listed in the notes but that is what it reminds me of. A spring wind bringing a waft of purple lilac bushes right into my nose. This is innocent and romantic.

Anamandy

Just Like Heaven. That is exactly what this smells like to me. Tory Burch's Just Like Heaven. Exactly no difference at all except two. Silage and longevity not as good. I don't know why this is considered an Iris dominant fragrance since I can't smell that at all. Lilac is the dominant note. Since I love Just Like Heaven I am content, though disappointed too, since I was really looking forward to a powdery Iris fragrance and had my hopes up that this would be one. Still, it's nice, so I'll keep it and use it.

labonvie

Lilac. Simple. Fresh. Slightly green. A tad soapy. Not a powerhouse. A crisp spring/summer floral to absolutely douse yourself in. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last on my skin at all. Then again, I can’t think of a lilac scent that does. If you know of one, please let me know.
This is the perfect floral for a hot day. Is it original? Not particularly. But it’s a nice floral and doesn’t smell like candy or vanilla.
The bottle is complete trash...hideous and cheap. But don’t be too put off, the scent is quite lovely. Wish it weren’t so fleeting.

greenbluegray

Dear ScentCrazy201, I tried this due to your comparison to Sensi. Not a dupe, but I sure do love it, so there is something in the not-the-same notes. Maybe the cuddly fresh hug of a scent. Strong on the lilacs which Sensi does not have but the creamy citrus is also there. I am so glad I blind bought this. It will brighten my gray winter days. Cozy light purple clean sheets and hair, fresh, with gentle woods at the end. Sorry I am not describing the notes better. I will return after wearing this for a bit.

Princess

Smells like a garden of roses and Iris <3

scent.crazy.2013

This is an identical dupe for the long discontinued Giorgio Armani Sensi. And it is still in production as of 2020. 😊

Mmartinez67

I love this perfume. It makes me feel cheerful and full of energy. It made me realize that, definitely, the perfumes that I enjoy the most are, without a doubt, fresh or aquatic florals. I feel that it smells of lilacs and violets (although the latter is not listed), accompanied in the background by the iris and the woods. In me it lasts about 5 hours, which is pretty good to be an EDT. Its projection is moderate. It is perfect for the office. It is actually perfect for any day event. It smells delicious. I liked it so much that now I want to try the rest of the Omnia line. Highly recommended!

Zahabia

Amethyst from Omnia Collection of Bvlgari is definitely the most unique one. If the perfumes of Omnia were young girls in a class, then all the other Omnia ones would be demanding attention with their screeching. They would represent those sickly-sweet sugar-candy perfumes.
But the Amethyst one in the Omnia collection is a shy & reticent girl as gazes out of the class-window at the mild warmth of the Spring season descending on the last of Winter's coolness. That's it. The Amethyst notes capture the freshness of Spring & still retain the last of Winters. It's not a cold blast at the beginning but opens with a sweet, fresh citrus of grapefruit along with cooling green-notes. The presence green-notes is what makes Amethyst a Spring-like natural perfume. It quickly evolves into something creamy & powdery. The creamy vanilla-ey heliotrope gives it a femininity & some class. The powdery iris is counterbalanced with the sweet, citrusy-fresh grapefruit which carries itself to the drydown. The drydown finally gives off something very woody & you can still smell the natural green-notes. The woods in the end give it a certain maturity.
It's far better than those regular, teenage-ish, sickly-sweet sugar-candy perfumes that scream for attention. Amethyst stays as fresh & serene as Spring. The Amethyst girl in the class is lonesome & her green notes and heliotrope lend her a soft vulnerability. She's more introspective than the other screechy ones. The projection, however is mild but the sillage is good. The dominant notes are grapefruit, heliotrope & iris and woods with the slight green-notes. Very reminiscent of early Spring.

zspetrova

This one is such a lovely girly scent. It's perfect for starting your day if you want something to freshen you up and calm you at the same time. Unfortunately, it doesn't last more than an hour on my skin.

raiza1990

The opening is alcoholic, then it turns into a sharp floral and the drydown smells strange, like something burned. I don’t understand why this has so many fans.
Sillage is soft, longevity is moderate.
Final note: 4/10

ditta_90

Very powdery, in a good way. Totally smell the heliotrope and iris. Its like a purple flower baby powder with hint woody notes. It's inoffensive, safe. I wear it mostly at daytime. Perfect for Brunch, shopping, going out with friends.
Score 7.5 / 10

natasha.wahyudihardjo

Love at first sniff! I have finally succumbed to buying this because I have got a feeling that this might be my cup of tea, and it definitely didn't disappoint. If anything, it has officially become my go-to fragrance for office days.

Omnia Amethyste is demure and delicate, she is like a wallflower, never too conspicuous or too sharp. But she is there. I think this one is almost as likeable as Versace's Bright Crystal. I can totally detect some lilac here.

Great, great one.

mevans

Very floral and pretty. I get the rose, a little iris and lilac in it. The heliotrope brings almost gourmand notes to it. Very well done. I really enjoy it.

carrico1986

Beautiful, innocent and delicate. I know there are no violet notes listed but that's what I smell out of this. Violets and iris. Such a beautiful perfume, nothing synthetic about it at all.

msiska

I got a sample vial of this fragrance some time ago. As I was reading the notes listed a question flashed through my mind: What does an iris smell like? My grandma used to grow irises but still I could not remember. Omnia Amethyste brought it back to me in an instant. With the first whiff I saw myself in the garden of old, with soft morning sunrays peeping through the dense foliage of a large cherry tree, grass all wet with dew and in front of me there gleamed the long stemmed irises all blossoming in velvety violet... I am writing all this to express how incredibly natural Amethyste smells. I believe Alberto Morillas is a true master and I deeply admire his work.

lrnonken

A beautiful lilac, very fresh and floral, impressively capturing the scent of true lilac, good projection and longevity while remaining light.

Aliciaenelespejo

This is so feminine. Powdery, floral, naif. I do love it a lot. It is not a sexy fragrance but a tender one.

lmwimsatt

I get lots of lilac and none of the real notes

Valensia

I was really afraid about that rose but it is actually very soft and doesn't take over. the main note that sticks for me is the Heli', didn't notice the grapefruit. Lasted almost the whole day, could smell myself every once in a while, just a small hint of flower scent. The spray behind the ears survived the evening shower. Overall I am very pleased with it, for an E.D.T it's impressive.

kbm1208

My then boyfriend (now husband) gifted me this during our anniversary. As much as I want to fall inlove with this scent, it does not do it for me. I do not get any floral accord, to it just smells spicy and peppery, too heady at times. Would not repurchase once my bottle is empty.

Dungey

This is by far my most complimented fragrance. Something about this attracts so many people. I’ve gotten compliments while I’m serving by men and women, and my friends can’t get enough. People can smell you with this, from feet away. With this being such a crowd pleaser I don’t mind that at all. Ive had at least three people buy this immediately after they smelt it on me, it’s really that good. This blossoms in cold air but is also great in summer. Just get it!

Albiretu

I love this one... I adore heliotrope and iris, although sometimes they can be strong, and this one is just perfect. Fresh, clean, the drydown is creamy and I love it. Smells a little bit like Nivea cream. Soapy, fresh out of the shower kind of. Adore this one, hoping to find it for cheap or maybe through a swap.

zombieldehyde

Liked this the most out of all the omnia range :) It's the freshest and most mature for me because of its complexities.

Creatureofhabit

I’ve been searching for something similar to Miss Dior Cherie L’Eau and I think I’ve found it. At least the opening is. I had smelled this fragrance a while ago and dismissed it but after reading one of the reviews for Cherie L’Eau I smelled it again and am very happy.

Bubbles1964

For some reason this smells like the 70s to me. Omnia Amethyst is not matching up note wise, but I had a flashback to the very bizarre “Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific” shampoo. (If you are of a certain age, you will know what I’m referencing). Strong floral scent, purple bottle matches what I think is either iris or lilac, turns powdery.... I like the drydown better than the opening, but still a pass.

mirisfrik

Very powdery, almost dusty violet. It's not bad, it's very pleasant indeed. Unfortunately, [the same as all Bvlgaris on my skin], it fades quickly. Few hours and it's gone :(

S4r4

Green green green!! Reminds me a lot of Mugler's Cologne! Good but not for me!

shellsybelle

For the last two years a friend of mine from England has started to buy Omnia fragrances for me via Duty Free when they come to visit me here in New Zealand when I told them that I loved the original. The first fragrance they bought me was Omnia Coral and this time they bought me Omnia Amethyste.

Unfortunately there is very little fragrance to be smelt. I have to apply it several times but whether it sinks into my skin quickly I’m not exactly sure but unfortunately I only get a faint whiff of fragrance when I wear this one and to me it smells powdery and a slight smell of a flower that I don’t recognise and then it’s gone, I am unable to smell it again.

Maybe I need to try this after I hop out of the shower one day instead of applying it in the morning after I have got changed.

A bit of a letdown but I will try it again sometime. I have 65 mls of it.

Dort0625

I bought this a while ago on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart- $19.99 it was a blind buy but I figured meh why not-it’s my birthstone and it’s inexpensive. So at first sniff you can really smell the powder notes, and while many people love that-I personally can not at all stand it. I never gave it much of a shot and I’ve been trying to declutter in preparation for Christmas so I decided to downsize the fragrance stash and came upon this. This time I made myself fight through the powdery and I’m glad I did! It’s a lovey scent. Strange thing to me that the purple and amethyst does not vibe at all with the scent. Either way job well done

LemonCake

Smells like fresh flowers and some undefined scent of the air in the summer. The drydown is weirdly powdery and creamy on me, and I love it. It smells fresh and clean, good for workplace, since it's such a crowd pleaser. I know a few people who hate perfumes in general, but they like this one.

Obviously, it's a summer scent, since the sillage and longevity are pretty weak, but honestly, would you have it any other way in the scorching heat? I use this little jewel every summer.

CW81

This is a new acquisition to my collection. On me it’s a crisp green floral with some soft woodsy notes playing in the background. The star of the scent is heliotrope, so if you don’t like heliotrope this is not for you. I don’t get any powder at all. I love many powdery scents so I wouldn’t mind some powder, but I don’t miss it either. It’s perfect for summer and warmer months. The sillage and longevity is okay considering it is an eau de toilette. I like this scent and will use my bottle, but my favourite Omnia is still Green Jade.

AHeartLikeMine

To me, this has a nondescript powder scent. It's fairly light but had decent sillage and longevity. I don't see anything special about this scent.

jg2758

Unexpectedly beautiful.

Normally I despise iris and heliotrope, but they're delightful here. There's no face-powder feeling, which is usually my biggest complaint; it actually smells like a soft but fresh flower.

Soft, feminine, genuinely nice. Good in the heat, too: this works very well in summer.

Also: I disliked the bottle until I saw it in person. Don't dismiss this scent just by looking at the photographs. Go try it on!

dorisstar1982

Wasn’t sure at first spray but later smelled delicious on me. Like it a lot now and I can smell 100% lilac

LadyIva

This is one of my favourites from the Bvlgari Omnia line; it’s so feminine, gentle and elegant. Am I the only one who smells lily-of-the-valley here? Yes, it does feature iris and heliotrope, but I swear that my trusty old sniffer also detects a very prominent lily-of-the-valley. (But definitely not lilac.) I know that notes in the pyramid are just a close approximation of how a scent is supposed to develop, and that some volatile flowery aromas are recreated in the lab, which is why an overlap of certain notes can result in a new note emerging somewhere in-between. I guess that’s what happens here. Anyway, this is a safe choice for lovers of iris and lily-of-the-valley (and pretty much for everyone else!) The iris is rather fresh and not too powdery. The sillage is soft to moderate and longevity about 4 hours. It’s a nice everyday scent for spring and summer.

ApathyAngel

I got a lot of the green notes, woodsy notes, and iris in this. It's so fresh and crisp, I love it. It sits close to my skin, but lasts about 3 hours. So it's great for if I go to the movies or an office or anywhere that has close quarters.

Shazzydizzy

My sister wears this one, she got a small jewel 15ml size and I can smell it from quite a distance. On her it’s a very fresh, powdery scent, similar to white linen from E Lauder or one of Philosophy grace EDT. She also wears Chanel perfumes, which I cannot.

On me it’s just a powdery note, but I do smell iris. It doesn’t let’s long in me but we do have different skin chemistry.

It is probably a perfect scent for an office, church or other formal areas where you don’t want to overpower people wth the scent. An dun the wintertime, it makes you long for the spring.

dvlcis

The similarity to YR Lilac is... not real ! In no way they can be similar, regardless or how different noses are. One is a heliotrope-iris fragrance, and the other is all a linear lilac, the 2 juices have absolutely nothing in common. I wonder how many perfumes around here are voted similar purely because of the colour of the bottle. And makes me wonder how believable the reviews really are...

PricklyAndHot

Good iris fragrance. One of the best from irises fragrances I had tried.

Only not sure if I need it. It's too polite for me:)))

vintage_scent

I absolutely adore this gentle little lilac-y scent. For some time I never really took Amethyste seriously...not being such a great fan of the beginning. But really letting it develop this just turns into the loveliest soft lilacs lightly surrounding you in a cloud of powderiness...what more could you ask for? No sharpness here...just simply translucent purple-ness...like a tiny multifaceted amethyst;)
I love it~

Limabean

Smells like a soft powdery lilac bush. I adore it. I used to associate powdery scents with age...until I met Amethyste. Now I get it, the beauty of a powdery scent. Best on a cold day outside. Inside in heat the powderyness is over powering and sharpness of floral can be strong. I still love it, but take heed. Lasts 5 hours.

Butterball

I gave this perfume to my friend, who I also gave Omnia Crystalline to. This one didn't have enough warm notes or depth to me. Too light and clean for my taste. She immediately fell in love with both Omnias!

liezel1982

Omw this is a stunning one! I wanted to get this for a while now and finally bought a bottle yesterday. I own 4 Omnia's in total incl this one and Amethyste and Crystallinne EDP are by far my favourites out of all. Very soft floral woody safe fragrnace suitable for daytime and work. Very mature and modern summer/spring fragrance. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

polkadot27

This is beautiful feminine and delicate but not at all girly. very womanly, it is a cold feeling perfume it has no sweetness or warm notes. It is dignified and enchanting in a beautiful way. The rose and iris blend together beautifully, it is quite a sharp cold scent with a powdery feel, but beautifully so. This scent is very unique in my opinion, I have never detected anything that smells like this. Very rare, one of a kind. It smells much more expensive than it is. 100% worth the money. sillage is within arms length to me and lasts 3 hours on my skin. Impressive for the price.

JuliaQueen

After finishing 3 bottles of Omnia Crystalline I wanted a change. I like lilac and heliotrope so I gave this one a go. I liked this at first but I just couldn't finish the bottle and gave it away, buying Omnia Crystalline again instead. This isn't as warm and comforting as Omnia Crystalline. Omnia Amethyste is cooler and soapier and it lacks depth and sophistication.

1Madeleine2

I was given this as a gift and thought, 'oh no'. I'd never heard of it and I'm particular with my fragrances. I was in for a big, pleasant surprise, as it's so beautiful. I wore it to death and ALWAYS got comments in shops or cafes, asking what the lovely fragrance was.
Somebody said if amethyst had a fragrance then this would be it, I agree totally, delicately floral, soft, classy.
It has longevity and doesn't sour after hours of wear.

Goneja

If you could bottle a hug or a soft, cozy blanket, you'd basically get Amethyst. Almost deceivingly simple yet wonderful and addictive. A true anytime, anywhere fragrance. It's not at all boring or unoriginal but definitely a crowd pleaser. Perhaps if you don't enjoy powder, this will not be for you, but it's never overkill nor does it approach cloying territory. Lovely is the word I'd use to describe it.

reborn

love at first sniff in 2006 till today still.I am satisfied with the lasting power. This is one of a kind

Andreab969

I like this fragrance... I would LOVE it if it were more intense and had longevity! It vanishes from me in a very short time. Very disappointed

MBB1111

I am trying this after trying Crystalline and find myself not able to wear this Bvlgari fragrance either for similar reasons.

If heliotrope is meant to have tones of vanilla and almond, I don't recognize it here, nor do I pick up on any flowers at all, to be honest. To me, it is green and metallic through and through. It has that underlying scent in Juliette Has a Gun's Not a Perfume, which I also could not wear for the metallic/synthetic qualities.

I have a Bvlgari trial mini set and hope Rose Goldea and Goldea are winners. Perhaps the Omnia collection is just not for me.

Projection: dabbing wrists and elbows projected within my personal bubble nicely
Longevity: in the first 2 hours and it has been consistent
Wear: modern, delicate, demure, fresh-ish

who.am.i.you

I don't have any lasting power issues. It's been 6 hours and still smells just as strong as the initial dry-down stage (obviously not as strong as when I first sprayed it). Very much a heliotrope scent and makes me think of Easter time. Powdery, but also earthy floral. I like it! Not a favorite, but for the moments I'm welcoming spring, it feels very fitting :)

Lockon

Smells great, but doesn't last that long.
Bought it for my girlfriend.
Sits close to the skin after a hour.
Last about two hours max, sillage no more that your personal space.
She never uses it, anymore....just sits on the shelf, lol.
Cost about $35 for 2.2 Oz bottle.
Wouldn't buy it again.

Toronto_pro

Long lasting? Well, we all have a different skin chemistry - it didn't last 5 minutes on my skin. Generally it reminds me of Marc Jacobs "Violet", a simpler 2-tone version though. I guess those who are into "powdery" scents should like it. Safe for job interviews, demure, non-offending scent.

Raby17

It smells good but it doesn't last long on my skin, at 5 hours I barely smell it.

mappeli

Another beautiful scent. Always classy and can be worn at the office too. I get compliments when I'm wearing this. Too bad that it doesn't last long on my skin

noel cruz

I'd gladly wear this (also Crystalline) if I'm out of options, as this dries down almost exactly like Lacoste Cool Play... almost.. Very versatile fragrance, really.

Labellamiea

I thought this was going to be quite interesting in a good way with the heliotrope & bulgarian rose. Unfortunately this smells really bad it makes my stomach hurt, and causes a headache. It is really strong. At first you smell the green notes like fresh cut grass or when you snap a leaf (refreshing). Then it immediately follows with a rancid smell like rotting flowers. This is more of one of either you like it or you don't perfumes. Not one that could grow on you. On the positive side it lasts long and you only need a little. :( I could still smell slight hints of it after SCRUBBING in the shower.

rhaineclayton

I don't think it's possible to overspray this one.
I quite like it but I tend to prefer powerhouse fragrances.
The colour purple really suits this - it's soft heliotrope and iris, but it's also a bit fresh.
Smelling this makes me think of all sorts of different purple flowers - lilac, hydrangeas...
Oh, and two people complimented me on this today - that very rarely happens.

KajiraSuzanne

This is another "mini" that I won here on Fragrantica.
The bottle is exquisite.
As for the actual perfume, I wish it was a bit stronger, but I do enjoy the opening, which is a huge blast of heliotrope combined with a splash of pink grapefruit. There is a tiny hint of sweetness, and a powdery, slightly woody rose accord which develops over time.
This is a "sexy but ladylike" fragrance, pleasantly old-fashioned in feel, and a good choice for daytime summer wear. It does give a "light purple" impression, which is nice.
Longevity is good, sillage less so, almost a "skin scent". I suspect that I would have given it a "love" rather than "like" if it was an EDP instead of an EDT.

socorrosouza

You are probably anosmic to it, happens to most of us, the nose doen't get one note and cancels all the perfume.IThe anosmia can become permanent or eventually you feel the scent.Examine the perfume for the problematic note so in the future you will have a clue which scent not to buy.

anosh313

Why I can't smell anything? :( just when I put my nose on my skin... So sad :(
is it a problem with my nose? Or the sillage is very poor?! I wish it was stronger...

tyekristopher

This is the ONLY fragrance I like from the line they offer. It just smells so beautiful! It is somehow very familiar to me but I can't put my finger on it.

KmiluK

Very floral straight away. Not exotic flowers. More spring in an English flower garden. Delicate. It smells clean and fresh. Not sweet. No violets. There is a woody note that grounds it. Powdery. I would say this is a ladylike perfume rather than a feminine one. I would wear it in the day time. I like it. It seems to linger on my skin quite well.

zombieldehyde

I'm surprised by the way this smelled. I remembered that I tested this last year and I did like it but now it smells sharp and floral on the skin. For me, it is a very youthful fragrance; something that I've grown out of even though I'm only 21. It has that bvlgari onia base note.

UnearthlyApothecary

It is a light powdery floral, pleasant enough but the silage/longevity isn't there and the woody notes are nonexistent for me. There is a cloying flower in there that smells like oleander (heliotrope I think) that I'm not a big fan of. I also have to agree with the user who said after awhile this just smells like soap, I was expecting to finally catch the woods notes towards the drydown but it turned into bar soap instead. If you like soapy florals this one is for you. I like powdery Iris scents, but I don't think this one is for me.

gtabasso

This is a nice light floral that is different from others. Drier, greener, not sweet. Powdery. Pretty but not amazing.

polkadot27

Notes: I detect iris predominantly a very creamy powdery iris blended with heliotrope mixed with green notes such as cedar and vetiver on a bed of cashmere woods and oud. With sharp seeping notes of Bulgarian rose piercing its way through from time to time. To me this is beautiful, it is majestic. It was love at first sniff!

I prefer to wear it on Summer and Autumn evenings mostly.

It is a Beautiful feminine fragrance, very womanly and sexy. This screams seduction and sex appeal but in a tasteful manner rather than trashy. It is sensuous, I think of curves satin and silk and silver jewellery when I smell this. It is sweet powdery floral. I personally have not smelled anything like this and I own over 120 fragrances. It does smell purple, as does Alien By Thierry Mugler which also smells purple, but this smells nothing like Alien. Amethyste is mysterious, seductive and subdued, it smells expensive, elegant and is quite self indulgent. It definitely has that Italian high cashmere quality about it. It is very deluxe to me. One smells a million dollars but not gaudy or ostentatious when wearing this scent, which i often find with a lot of other big name perfume houses.

Every woman will like this fragrance, it is impossible to dislike this fragrance. I think it suits an innocent but quietly mysterious shy looking woman best, who perhaps has a secretive seductive sexy side to her and is perhaps secretively very opinionated but plays demure.

I think of romantic nights out in Venice, Rome and Milan when i smell this fragrance, to me it is rather majestic. It could easily be my signature fragrance, I could wear it comfortably everyday but I like it to much. I will save it for romantic encounters, family gatherings, important events and on days when I need a little magic and passion injecting into my life- to me this perfume is beautiful. It is beautiful blended, it could never smell undone, it is so well put together.

I have tried over 300 perfumes in my lifetime, this one will always be in my top 10. I have tried all of the Bvlgari Omia line now. I like coral, but not enough to buy. I love Paraiba and Amethyste and will always have these two treasures in my collection. Paraiba is a day scent to me, whereas amethyste is a night scent. I like to take both fragrances away with me when I go abroad to exotic lands. They are beautiful, suggestive, sensual and seductive.

Bottle= 7.5/10
Scent=8.5/10

_ada

A very light and fresh fragrance. I agree with other reviewers -it certainly smells "purple"! As someone who hates powdery perfumes, I found this one refreshing -the powder note in this reminds me of how babies smell. Doesn't last long on me, only 3 hours or so. I would wear this to church in the springtime, or maybe a casual garden party or brunch.

Tina_Salo

I purchased a little sample to try it on and man, it smells good! The main note I smell in it are violets (though they are not mentioned in the composition, hehe) and iris. If there was a smell for every color, this would be the smell of purple :) It is a very ´springish´scent, not very heavy, I recommend it for daytime use but I can imagine wearing it on, let´s say- a night out to the theater. Silage on me is pretty decent for an edt.

Labaloo

I first smelled this one at a shop where a woman was trying to decide between it and another, entirely-different fragrance. She and the sales-associate asked my opinion; I thought the Amethyste suited her quite well, and told her so! It has such a lovely quietness about it- a soft, clean musk stays close to the skin, while an intriguing blend of heliotrope, iris, and lilac gracefully hovers just a few feet away- very like strolling through a spring garden and catching faint whiffs in the air only as you pass the tiny blooms exuding their deliciousness. All of the Omnias that I've smelt so far seem to be like this: reserved, elegant, seemingly meant for intimate spaces; they aren't loud, projecting perfumes whatsoever, and I like this about them.

Soofiya

I can't detect much citrus notes, just a faint grapefruity undertone that fades in less than two minutes,I can smell something like lilac, heliotrope as prominant notes,a delicate powdery scent in a very soft vanilla base, not heavy or harsh, but bright, young, feminine and really nice for spring
After the mist of powders calm down, there is a light, lovely touch of rose..subtle woody notes show themselves up in the dry down
If you like light powdery fragrances or you are looking for a inoffensive spring, summery scent differant from pink, girly floral fruities or green citrus fragrances with a unisex vibe, then give this one a try.it's so lovely and makes me happy and calm.it's my favourite Omnia
Moderate longevity and soft sillage, but it's not a watery or very faint kind of perfume
Edit:if you love this one,try Trussardi My Name and Trussardi My Scent.you will probably love them too
زیبا،ظریف،دوست داشتنی و پودری.بین بولگاری اومنیاها اینو از بقیه بیشتر دوست دارم.اگه تروساردی مای نیم رو دوست دارید حتما امتحانش کنید

ayh210

This opens up smelling a bit like clinique happy. Can't say I'm a huge fan.

Linh96

A little bit sharp on the top notes but it fades quickly and turn into a soft, elegant, powdery scent. It's also young, feminine; just makes me relaxed ^_^

steffie_s

I do like a few Bvlgari fragrances and this is one. It starts quite strong but the top notes dissipate quite fast on me leaving the woody floral base. It is a warm fragrance on me.

Eugirlsniffs

I'm still contemplating returning this. I smell no pepper in this and it's just not powerful enough for me. I like it but don't love it. I can only smell the violets faintly. This stays very close to the skin and has not much staying power which I don't mind. Very quiet scent for very young girls.
It is flowery but no powder let alone citrus??? In this??? Mine was made in Italy. There must be another version of this;)

JanelleSydney

There is nothing at all floraly in this. It's spicy. It smells like pepper. Is it just me? Did I get a bad sampler or what? Cause I remember smelling this somewhere then I was able to get my hands on a sampler and when I sprayed it on, all it smells like is pepper. Spicy pepper. I'm thinking maybe the one who filled the sampler put the wrong perfume in a wrong bottle? Is there anything in the bvlgari line that smells like spicy pepper? Please help me figure this out I'm so confused

Ayina

For an EDT, I couldn't believe it could stay more than 8 hours in my body. It is very light and fresh. Love it

SalomeMi

Makes me feel feminine and sexy, sweet but classy. It goes well with extra feminine clothes think pale pinks and fuchsia. It makes me feel delicate and I think men like the smell too. Recommend it for those times you need a scent to remind you how sexy and tender of a woman you are.

philco

This fragrance was love at first sniff. I fell madly in love with this perfume. It was a blind buy on ebay for less than ten dollars on auction. (85 percent full) I have re-ordered as a christmas gift to myself. Love, love, love. I spray it on my pj, sheets, for the first time ever doing that to a fragrance..... just love it.

perfumehopper_in_JPN

Ummm....I wasn't impressed,just "BVLGARI"smell.
Some BVLGARI fragrances surprise me(In a good way,BLV,Omnia Crystalline, etc),but others are same smell.

Guenevere9

I had this perfume, and actually finished it.
This was before my switch to the niche perfumery world, but I truly loved this perfume: it reminded me of flower after rain, it's fresh yet intoxicating.
Definitely feminine, I found it sensuous in a fragile way.

AlexisJane

I bought a Bvlgari set of five miniature perfumes in the hope of finding one I could purchase a large bottle of, and this was one of the 5ml bottles in the set.

This is probably my favourite out of the Omnia line that I have tried, but that doesn't mean that I love it. It's just a like.

On my skin, from start to finish, (which is only about an hour and a half) it's all iris and heliotrope. And because I do like floral perfumes when the mood strikes me, this stuck out from the others. It's nice, but not ground breaking. I also feel like I smell this a lot and can't really place where, so that's also something I'm not a fan of. Smelling like everything else smells. It's not a bad thing, it's just not my thing.

As with the other Omnias, though, it doesn't last or project, so I won't purchase the full size of this.

pyttlc

It smells lovely: fresh clean delicate floral.Just lasts 1 hour on my skin. This is not good. Whatever charming scent with no staying power is failure. i wonder how BLV can pass such quality. The same problem wth Lanvin Eclat d'Arpage. Quality for air freshener.

StellaDiverFlynn

I didn't get much green or citrus during the opening of Bvlgari Omnia Améthyste. It starts almost directly with heliotrope, powdery with a vanillic undertone. Although the fragrance stays soft, it feels quite opaque when sniffed up close.

After about 90 minutes, Omnia Améthyste becomes brighter, as if the powdery fog is being cleared away, revealing a blooming lilac bush, lovely and quite realistic as well. I only get a subtle rose after about 4 hours, and the fragrance eventually dries down into a gentle musky skin scent underscored by a faint woody base.

The sillage is soft and the longevity is around 6 hours. Due to its powdery texture and the lilac association, I find it best suited for spring. But overall, Omnia Améthyste is a nice and inoffensive daily fragrance for those who are attuned to powdery scents.

Esztee

I absolutely adore the omnia collection - all of them. The only problem is the lasting power...very very poor . It does worth it for me though, they are very light and transparent fragrances , great for day time and men appreciate them a lot

ellina1984

I love iris and the beginning of Omnia Amethyste was very promising. The iris is nice, combined with woody notes. But the heliotrope is quite strong, and I finally decided this is not airy enough. It is, however, powdery and musky, and I think it's quite likeable. I'll pass, but I think it would be nice as an office scent, or for someone who is looking for something plain and pretty.

aliciabrown14

Doesn't last on my skin at all! I couldn't smell it after 1hr, poor silage on my skin too, which is sad because I loved it when I could actually smell it, which unfortunately the poor longevity on my skin makes me default to dislike as a whole, but like for just the initial smell!

oks-oks

I usually know to keep away from Bvlgari. But as an iris note lover I was tempted to try this after reading lots of reviews here. So, had my tester and tried it today. What can I say? It's harsh, cheap and purely chemical. Never again!

lalylun

I really agree with Rihabi, and would add that for me, since my job involve being very close physically to people I need this type of clean, fresh feminine scent. I constantly have people tell me I smell nice. Love it!

rihabi

Out of the rest from Omnia collection, that one is simply the best, and i'm saying this with no drop of doubt. It's powdery, light, delicate, tender and a good choice for the long day. I find nothing agressive about it, what is this crap people are spewing... unlike the crystaline and the coral, this is few ideas lighter than them. I like it, even though there is no specific uniqueness about it. It is just casual and perfect for everyday use, kind of unassuming. Some would say it's characterless, but for me it's like a fresh breath of air, compared to the other ''omnias''.
P.S.: The only disadvantage is the longevity, which is nearly moderate, but it's not a surprise, considering the soft lightness of this fragrance.

Rene007

after a few hour i found it like Escale prtofino dior

Swamp Lily

So delicate, so faint, like a dewy morning garden. I have a mini version and even though I like this so much, I don't know if I'll lash out on the big one, I just want it to be a wee bit stronger. Cool. Smells mauve.

nebbe

Not a safe blind buy. This went straight to soap on me. Not a pleasant, mild soap, but a detergent. Tester could have been off, or it just doesn't work with my skin. Boo.

Kristina25

Powdery, pretty and soft as a cosy cashmere sweater. Thankfully it doesn't smell like baby powder on me - it's very sophisticated and excellently blended. For me it's a perfect "movie night" fragrance. I'd wear this cuddling up on the sofa with my man and a glass of wine after a long day at work. It's got a lovely comfortable, intimate vibe that manages to be both sexy and demure at the same time and it's so easy to wear. I didn't think I liked iris at all but I've got to say, this has changed my mind! It would make a perfect signature for many women of all ages. And a must for fans of heliotrope.

The Swedish girl

Harsh, screechy... it makes me sneeze. And my husband got a headache.

I can`t understand how the listed soft notes can smell so agressive. Heliotrope and iris normally smells so creamy and smooth, but here it smells like they are mixed with sharp aldehyds or pepper or something.

belinda.berry

I love this fragrance. As soon as I smelled it, it took me back to my childhood and of rummaging through my grampa's lollie jar of Allen's caramels that are wrapped in pink and blue foil.

Lkrautter

This scent is very hazy and powdery and dreamy. It reminds me a little of chance eau tendre but dryer and cleaner. It's a pretty simple scent, but it accents the heliotrope very well and gives you a very fuzzy floral feel.

iamshiela

Light floral scent. Very sophisticated and womanly. Just right to wear at work and for date nights.

GeorgiaMoxie

Amethyst is a very pretty and sensual woody floral that is great as an everyday fragrance. It reminds me a lot of Light Blue with less citrus so if you like one you will probably like the other. The fragrance is gorgeous but the floral notes are very light with poor longevity so I added a few drops of rose oil and natural vanilla pod to bring out the notes already there and increase the longevity. I find myself reaching for this perfume more than most of the others I have because it's so versatile and classy. I love me some Bvlgari.

ScarlettX

I love it! It's so Bvlgari!
Light and tender and you can regocnize it immediately!
I love the light iris and heliotrope notes.
It's modest and cute, but classy and elegant at the same time. Close to skin, but it's alright in my opinion. Not all the fragrance have to be sillage bombs. Lovely!

Arlene-Beatrix

Top notes were so faint that I could barely smell anything. After some time it started to be quite nice fragrance, but still too mild for me.

Dimitra79

Interesting, different...purple. Nice altogether.
But I was hoping for something with the sparkling character of Blv, or the original Omnia at least...and this one didn't meet my expectations.

sylviak

It smells soft, light, clear and a little sweet. Floral more than fruity. Like an elegant lady about age of 27, appears extremely clean and calm that makes a little bit cool even when she's smiling.

jeanbean7777

Bvlgari never smells good on me and I'm sad about it......I was hoping this would be the one I could wear......it isn't to Be. This one didn't even last an hour on my skin. And all I could get was an odd powder that on me smelled like dry shampoo in a nursing home. It smells lovely on many others......no luck for.me.

desiliana

smells exactly like Yves Rocher Lilas Mauve but last longer with good sillange too
