The original Jasmin Noir was so balmy and wet… sensual and luscious — this one is very similar obviously but the one visceral difference in an easy way to describe is this one is dryer— it’s missing that extra oomph that the original had… I’m not sure why they discontinued the original but it makes me so sad.

I do really like this! I bought a bottle on my last holiday. To my nose it's floral and sexy and smooth, kinda sweet and slightly "dark" indeed (but nothing too crazy). It's a shame though, that it's not very strong and doesn't last very long. I have a feeling that it dissappears quite soon, although it might also be a bit of noseblindness? It sits pretty close to the skin in my experience.

ForbiddenSoil

I so wish this was more noir and more jasmine, I do not get how somebody could consider this to be heavy or sexy. All I am getting on my skin is very grape-y opening and soft, heady gardenia. Jasmine Noir sits extremely close to the skin and I am barely even able to smell it unless I overspray. Needless to say, I hate overspraying such an expensive fragrance. I don't regret buying it, since I like light scents like this for the summer, but I won't be rebuying.

ech0

It is certainly similar to Jasmin Noir but unless I have completely forgotten that one (I had a sample over 9 months ago), I think this Splendida version is somewhat milder and therefore more acceptable for me to enjoy it. It is closer to Mon Jasmin Noir which is excellent.

Rozalina

I don't care for this perfume. I understand it's "Jasmin NOIR" so this wasn't going to be a naturalistic green, dewy floral. But this fragrance smells remarkably similar to Mariah Carey M, perhaps a slightly less sweet version. I currently have both in my possession and yes, they favor each other.

mzhyde

It smells very soothing. I like it very much.

hirayanaapuhap

I got a 5ml mini bottle of this and it's so cute! I love how bvlgari does their samples. They're very faithful to art. I love how creamy it smells, this is coming from someone who dislikes sweet scents! This was one of the rarest times I had ever liked jasmine note, I often get headaches when smelling white flowers but Jasmin Noir is something. I can't believe no bottle is available in my country, I have to buy from online to get this. I would definitely buy one bottle before bvlgari discontinues this like they did to rose rose, I still haven't moved on from that atrocious event. I hope they release something similar.

sixsips

All I smell is Vanille Santal by Reminiscence. Shocked to see only 2 votes for the similarity. I don't get any Jasmine - I don't even get the gardenia. It's not a bad scent at all - lovely even, if a little candle-y is your vibe - but, so freaky similar.

I feel it’s really underrated whilst it’s probably one of the most prized jasmine frags in my possession currently, and in all honesty the whole Splendida line is truly magnificent.

Jasmin Noir is very sexy, lactonic, warm, spicy, and memorable. Delicate and complex. A perfect example of classic perfumery.

With this heavy, black and gold bottle worthy of some Egyptian goddess, it stole my heart aesthetically on all levels .

Easy 10/10 in its category, just can’t fault it!

perfumejasper

I love this, it’s my favourite perfume and one I get compliments on. Unfortunately, I never got to experience the OG Jasmin Noir so can’t compare the two. However, I’m wondering if this one has also been discontinued now? It’s not on the Bvlgari website and I’m seeing it sold out in shops with nowhere saying it will come back in stock. :(

Ajaycheshire

I have no idea why,but this reminds me of Idylle by Guerlain. This was an impulse buy and as lovely as it is,it's become boring to me . It will be downgraded to the visitors bathroom. Just ok.

KöbiD

This is a beautiful and effortlessly elegant white flower fragrance. Even though I recognize a slightly indolic (mostly from up-close) jasmine, a creamy and waxy gardenia is more prominent to my nose, and dominates over all the other notes. Splendida Jasmin Noir is pretty much linear and its sillage remains moderate throughout the day. Honestly, the more I wear it, the more I love it. After all, a long-lasting, creamy fragrance without a sharp muskiness as longevity booster is not that easy to come by these days.

dark-gardenia

No matter how many perfumes I try this one remains the one to me, I don’t wear it everyday as I don’t see it as an everyday fragrance. This one is special, elegant and well rounded. I loved the original one since my teenage years, when I finally had the money to buy a bottle it had already been reformulated and rebranded as Splendida, nevertheless I started to love this one with the same passion because afterall they are quite similar.

To me this fragrance is the embodiment of Italian class and elegance, opulent but never quite over the top, probably what I love the most about it is the balance of notes, nothing is too loud, florals, woodiness, earthiness, muskiness they all dance together creating a nice duality between feminine notes and masculine ones. Two of my favourite flowers dance together in this composition, jasmine and gardenia. There is a nice contrast between the two, jasmine being luminous but thick and gardenia being dark and mashroomy, the two together along with the almond note create a decadent creaminess which I haven’t found yet in another perfume.

I was always surprised by the fact that this perfume is not so popular, but this is actually part of it’s mistery. It seems to be the kind of fragrance that wants to be discovered, and I’m grateful that Bvlgari is not trying desperately to sell it. I saw that many people complained about longevity and projection but to me this one is the most long lasting fragrances in my colection.

Gourmandgurl888

This one in my collection is the one where it doesn’t actually suit me completely and it’s one I definitely don’t wear as much as others but it’s super nostalgic as this was one of my mother’s fragrances and whenever I smell it I have those beautiful memories that spring to mind.

Luckily when I moved out I got to keep the last drops that were left in a small bottle version of the original one and mind you this bottle would’ve been easily 10 years old and I actually didn’t know the name of it because the writing was worn off so I had to hunt it down and I didn’t know there were so many different types of this fragrance! I’m pretty sure my mother had the original but these days it’s impossible to find and at least when I smelt this one it was ridiculously close.

For me, this is dark, mature, subtle jasmine scent that isn’t jasmine centred. Honestly, I wear this when I don’t want people talking to me LOL but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad fragrance! I do like it, I almost always have to be wearing an all black or very dark outfit to match this one, that’s why as well I think it’s definitely a winter/autumn fragrance. It’s decent longevity and the more you spray the more it’ll project.

Greg & Claire

This is quite close to the original and there is a decent amount of oil when you spray it on which means it should be fairly long lasting, but I put several sprays on before work, and I've been sitting at a desk in 21'C airconditioned building & it's pretty much worn off after 5 hours. The original lasted longer. Looks like they have now discontinued this one as well :( Such a pity as it's such a beautiful unique fragrance.

Darkeyed

Jasmin noir (splendida) feels like a garden filled with jasmine after rain in nighttime to me.
I always loved it, received a bottle when I was pregnant but couldn't stand it back then.
I wore it for the first time at my baby's funeral, oddly I thought it was suitable for the occasion as it reminds me of the smell of earth (I guess it's the bitterness of almonds that gives me this feeling). It's very natural, earthy, cold and melancholic yet very elegant. I think of my daughter everytime I wear it.

I can't really detect any warmth / amber or sweetness in it.

anna1987

LOVE, why didn‘t I discover this fragrance earlier? Reminds me a little bit of Tom Ford‘s Black Orchid but I like this one better. It‘s feminine, grown-up, sexy, white floral, woody, musky, a bit powdery.

AlexandraTroush

This is so similar to Mugler's Aura Sensuelle! They share gardenia, green notes and sandalwood, all of which are very prominent in both scents. Aura Sensuelle is maybe slightly sweeter, but otherwise they're both equally creamy, floral and green. They're melancholic, nostalgic in a way, and innocent with just the tiniest mischief in them.
I really like Jasmin Noir (and Jasmin Noir L'Elixir, which is even better in my opinion), but this Splendida Jasmin Noir doesn't really remind me of either. I really do think Aura Sensuelle is a closer relative to Splendida.
Longevity and projection are excellent on me.

Heliga

It's warm and soft, cozy and comforting, which isn't something I usually associate with white florals. I find it to be really easy to wear for many different occasions and weathers, but unfortunately it really evaporates from my skin in warmer temperatures. Aside from the less than impressive lasting power this fragrance is pure perfection to me. I love wearing it to bed, it sticks to the fabric in a really pleasant way and I can still get little wafts of it the days after.

This is one of my first perfume loves and I'm really happy that I got a full size bottle. The bottle and sprayer is really high quality.

Amazing on it's own, also addictive layered with Pink Sugar and works well with Mariah Carey M (weirdly less durable than with PS which on it's own has even worse lasting power on my skin).

anck-su-namun

I adore this perfume but I find it somewhat difficult to come across. Does anyone know whether it's been discontinued just like its older sister, Jasmin Noir?

Nora Gad

Very dark and sharp Jasmine, it reminds me of Miranda priestly ,i wish if they added some vanilla and creamy texture instead of the woody notes , but overall it's so unique and classy and mature scent

Kotikina

Heavy (the smell, not the projection/longevity), classy, chic, sophisticated, serious, smells expensive. Noir. Femme fatale jasmin that you cannot wear during the day. I would wear it for some grand occasion with a black dress or a suit. Mysterious. My husband liked it surprisingly, usually it is 'the sweeter the better' for him, and this smells bitter. I liked it, but not enough to purchase a whole bottle. It is an Italian donna who murdered her husband and going to attend his funeral. Unfortunately the smell of naphtalene is also present, as if you open a wardrobe with old clothes.

Olfa

It reminds me of a perfume from 2000s. Anyone has an idea?

ckorp8

Does reminds me somewhat of the night blooming jasmine but not quite right on spot. A bit peeish which is normal for jasmine but not for night blooming jasmine. Overall it’s just an okay perfume for me. The floral part stayed for about two hrs after which only soft woody scent is left to linger for about additional seven hrs. Silage is intimate throughout.

powederedoranges

It’s very cheeky of Bvlgari to name this perfume “Jasmin Noir,” and put it in the exact same bottle as the previous, yet sadly discontinued Jasmin Noir. It is not the exact same perfume, although the similarities are strong and it is the best replacement for the original JN. Splendida starts out less sweet and creamy, and more woody than the original. They both dry down into much the same scent. Splendida may actually have slightly better longevity (perhaps thanks to the additional wood?) Splendida is a worthy replacement, although it does beg the question as to why a replacement is required, since Jasmin Noir was such a lovely perfume.

I like this perfume for all but the absolute hottest days. It’s not a pure jasmine, the wood definitely adds some “noir,” and depth. I wish this edition had some more creaminess, but there’s a lovely floral sweetness to it that’s not syrupy or cloying at all, without being anything like a “freshie” at all.

lifnisanders

Bought it impulsively and regret it. Smelled really nice on paper and by the initial spray. The dry down smelled like rubber on my skin and the performance is really weak.

youeatcheese

To me, this is one of the sexiest fragrances for women.
Sexy, seductive, irresistible - just can't get enough of it.

MrAbbas

When the name suggest Jasmin Noir, I expect dark indolic jasmin, but nope. This is an OK jasmin scent, Smells nice but not bold or seductive as the name kinda hints at. I can't deny the quality (it is Bulgari after all). I will continue searching... next.

LadyPilot

It's pretty intriguing, as from a jasmine/gardenia based scent you'd expect something cloying and indolic while it's not. Yes, you can smell these two white floral notes but also very distant and natural patchouli, also some green notes that make the perfume well-ballanced and not overly sweet. After a few hours it becomes softer and the tonka takes over, while patchouli is stil detectable. It is aromatic but transparent, expressive but not overwhelming. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for an elegant summer evening scent.

shannfernando

Can someone please tell me if this is as good as or even comparable to the original Jasmin Noir? Wondering if this is worth the splurge..

churinl

I think this may be my favorite from the Splendida series. It was neck and neck - no pun intended - with Iris d'Or for a while, but I have to say that in the end, Jasmin Noir is preferred mostly due to it's depth and originality. I have never tried a white floral fragrance quite like this one. I have to admit that I only get passing whiffs of the jasmin and gardenia. This is far more about the bottom notes to me, especially the sandalwood, cashmeran, and the burnt vanilla note from Tonka. While I wish I got much more white floral out of this, I adore it as I am experiencing it. I have yet to wear this outdoors or in any kind of warm weather. My gut tells me that the florals will be coaxed out under those conditions. Moderate silage and longevity.

My skin says: I love this perfume!!!

I got it as a sampler last summer, and, had forgotten all about it... found it this evening stored behind everything else, and oh wow how much I like this juice!!!

I love sjasmin, there is some of it in the beginning, than it just melt down to a cozy vanilla/tonka thing, in a way there is a thing saying Sonia Rykiel to me.... If I had this sexy godess back in the 80-thies, the men, and woman would have been hanging on my shoulders when I was at the discoteques....

I feel like a vampyrinessequeen now, playing my old records on youtube, and thinking of my little black dress (it's still with me, somewhere) and now it's time for party ....;))

CygneNoire

FINALLY. I've finally found my beloved Jasmin Noir! This was my introduction to designer perfumes when I was a young teen and incited my love for perfume. I was skeptic of the name for a while but found a single review on the website I bought it from that stated this is Jasmin Noir under a different name. I took the plunge and I'm transported to the day I felt like I was on a sea of clouds, influenced by both the powdery notes and the spark in my head that went of that said "this is it". You don't know how happy I am to finally have it in my life again. I'll be buying two of the largest sizes every time I run out.

Edit 1: The opening smells a bit minty which isn't what the original was like and the powdery base and middle notes are a bit faint. I'm hoping it still lasts as long as the original but I love it so far.

llamasinpajamas

it's tame but intriguing, dark but not heavy, clean but mysterious. it's elegant and simple but not banal. it works for any occasion, any season, any time of day or night and it never loses its magic. it's great for layering. classy, chic, sophisticated. i adore it

öbö

I got this as a gift and first sprays were unpleasant (like pee). But now it smells very elegant and perfect for classy summer nights. To my nose, it smells like luxurious cream :)

asz

I wanted a jasmine perfume and I really wanted to like this one. I'd previously used Lush's Lust, which was a little too in-your-face and stained my clothes.

It's a nice scent, without a doubt. For me, the opening is very strong and smells of chemicals, but after a few minutes it calms down into a pleasant (but strong) white floral scent. There's a warm, woody dry down, and then after about 6 hours for me it fades into nothing. It lingers on my clothes, but on my skin I can only smell a hint of tonka and sandalwood if I press my nose against it.

It's a mysterious perfume that smells both sophisticated and sexy, appropriate for day and night, but it doesn't last long enough for my liking.

Sicily92

This is the closest thing to night blooming jasmine we have around here. This is a thick jasmine with a woodsy note, a head turner when I walk around. Not sure why they reformulated this. The original lasted longer and had better sillage. I won’t repurchase unless I find an older batch before the Splendida version. It’ll do for now since I love the first few hours.

Amnaa

One of the cleanest presentations of jasmine I've smelled so far! We used to have a jasmine bush in our backyard and this fragrance reminds me of it. The scent is very fresh in a way - as in the jasmine blossoms have just begun opening and are full of life. Slightly sweet and sinfully intoxicating.

Supermonipower

This was a blind buy for me.

The first time I smelled it I absolutely disliked this. It smelled so weird and im not sure what it was.. synthetic??

But after a few tries I started to like this more. I am still not a huge fan and I don't reach for it, but it a nice after shower fragrance. I love jasmin but this isn't one of my favorites.

Amascent

Ok, so first let me say this is nice. This is a nice perfume, reminiscent of the original. However, if you're a perfume junkie like I am, and you LOVEEEEE the original Jasmin Noir like I did, you will be disappointed. They're trying to pass this off as the original Jasmin Noir. Hate to disappoint, but it's just NOT. Missing the sweetness from the almond/licorice, and missing some complexity. this is pleasant, and appropriate for an office setting on my skin as it comes across subtle yet elegant and refined. It is of excellent quality and a good perfume in it's own right. however the original was a LOVE, it was special and superior to this.

RossanaJ

I so love this fragrance, not too floral thanks goodness, at least on my skin. It is mysterious and beautiful! Just wish it stayed around much longer! Nevertheless I could easily bath in this! Bvlgari never disappoints me! It is warm woody but feminine and balsamic!

lmwimsatt

If you layer whispers in the library with giulietta you will get this

raiza1990

A bit sweet, dark. The jasmine itself is not really intensive. It’s a heavy fragrance. Not in terms of sillage but in terms of smell. I love white florals but this is a bit too vamp for me. Definitely not a crowd pleaser. This is for the scorpio ladies out there.
Final note: 7/10

Migalex

It is very dark and smells very much resinous. I cannot smell any jasmin, I assume that it is only the concept of a black jasmin, which does not exist in nature. I find it quite strong for a bvlgari fragrance. It is pleasant and unusual.

manualdifferential

I’ve never experienced the original, so as far as a comparison I’m not sure, but it definitely is much less jasmine-y than expected with the name “Jasmine Noir”. I feel like it’s more gardenia dominant, followed by tonka and cashmeran. The faint gardenia and greenish beginning basically disappear in three minutes, and call me crazy, but after that all I smell is Dior Addict with faint gardenia. I probably wouldn’t have bought this based on the reviews, but it was on sale at Tjmaxx for basically nothing. Although not aptly named, I’m happy with the heavy tonka and cashmere dry down. It’s light and simple, but still very warm and cozy.

octobertragedy

I got the original EDP in 2008-2009. Mainly because my best friend used to love it. And I got myself hooked on it. Well, the Splendida version is a less deeper, not so dark version of its "sister". Notes of jasmine are less obvious, being replaced by more tonka and vanilla.
I find it more masculine or unisex if you like. I understand people saying it smells of gasoline, acetone and different types of chemicals. On my skin the "chemical" opening fades in few minutes, leaving a pleasant and distinctive scent. So, please give this fragrance patience.

Cloudberries

Nail polish in the initial blast but turns out a creamy soft oriental that isn’t cloying. I can’t detect any jasmin on my skin which doesn’t matter to me. A fragrance suitable for a mature lady. Perfect for the winter. Unfortunately my husband didn’t like it.

gweyslabao

I tested Jasmin Noir but I accidentally bought the Splendida bottle. They smell similar but this has poor longevity. Such an expensive mistake!

mylancome

Extremely long lasting when touched the clothes. The scent on the clothes can only be wash away with soap

If you used Jasmin Noir on Day 1 and plan to use a different perfume on Day 2, must wear a different clothes. Don't ever wear the clothes on Day 1 and wear other perfumes. It will become a disaster

dina

Very disappointed! It's a shadow of the regular JN, I can't even detect jasmine in it... Nothing splendid about it and honestly after 30 minutes I was out of the store and it was already gone ...

sygrid29

This scent is the best example of no scent is a good scent it fades fast quickly. At first it smells like an expensive acetone in a good way then a very faint tonka/woody drydown. For sure it reminds me of a certain lotion from the 90’s. This is a skin scent with a strength of a cologne. Despite of the notes this will not project as much as i wanted to no matter how often i touch up. If you like alien just buy a back up bottle of that. This is almost a fantastic one but too soft even the most sensitive nose will not be offended.

Freckleface

I personally love it! Sexy, strong, powerful classical beast with such a romantic, elegant and historisk touch.

In ny head i see a classic strong vintage bosslady who are hypnotic beautifull and mysterious, walk in a jazzclub smoking cigaretts and plays with her pearl necklace while seduced all the men..

Aaand back to reallity, my fiancee doesent like it and say ut smells like a STRONG man cologne..

Well, fuck that! Im gonna wear this piece of vintage sexyness and rule hard!;)

hadeelsafwat

I got as president and fell I fell in love with it.

vgedin

The beginning isn't quite like the original Jasmin Noir, but the dry down is fairly reminiscent. Regardless, this is indeed a splendid perfume.

Starts off with the fresh, green aspects of white flowers, which then quickly develops into a creamy, heady (not indolic) jasmine + gardenia. There is sweetness from the tonka beans with just enough musk to add some depth. The sandalwood is detectable towards the end, making this a beautifully rounded and complete composition.

2 spritzes on my arm lasted a good 9 hours, so I have no complaints about longevity. Sillage is about arms length for the first 2 hours, after which it stays closer to the skin.

Give it a go, and try not to judge it solely in comparison to its predecessor. This is truly a beauty.

justfloral

sambac jasmine (without indole) + wintergreen + sweetness of almonds + lemon (or another citrus, but there is a citrusy note to it). The jasmine-wintergreen mix dominates the fragrance.
Velvety, tender and black, "night-scent", very perfume-y (the notes blend well together creating something new).

ApathyAngel

I really like this. I definitely get more of the sandalwood and cashmeran. Hardly any jasmine at all, but it's still a very comfortable, calming scent. It doesn't last very long or have very good sillage.

I could see myself wearing this just out of the shower, right before bed. It could definitely help me relax and fall asleep.

Roses and Spices

What a lovely bottle, I thought. Surely this has to be a perfume for me. Unfortunately not. It started well, full of promise and then this bitter synthetic note appeared. Definitely not for me!

Princess

I mostly smell Sandalwood, tonka bean and faint patchouli, not much of the green notes, jasmine or the gardenia, I was hoping I would smell gardenia and jasmine moore :( but i like it, a warm balsamic scent.

Edit: Now I know what this reminds me of! It smells exactly like Mariah Careys M! And now I am disappointed:/

PricklyAndHot

I feel more gardenia than jasmine. Good fragrance for evening. I rather like it. I like that kind of gardenia. It's perfect for evening fragrances.

Janebear

Unfortunately this is not a patch on the original Jasmin Noir EDP. It smells similar on the initial spray, but then it fades and fades fast. I had to constantly re-spritz. Very very disappointed. I'm now trawling the web to snap up any last originals.

shushkin

Blimey I can actually smell something with this Splendida version. Why is it called Jasmin Noir?!!
I get as much cashmere wood as the gardenia which is a bit disappointing and puts me off a bit. I like the fresh green note that sadly doesnt hang around long. It soon settles down to basically cashmere wood, tonka and sandalwood. Nice but that's about it. I'm not wowed.
A typical, classy Bvlgari scent that doesn't have good longevity or sillage.

zanctumtrading

This is a creamy jasmine scent, but it's not for me (I can't seem to like jasmine scents for some reason) I have a 3.4 Oz (100ml) bottle of this that has been sprayed 3-4 times. If anyone is interested in swapping, give a shout.

Astar

Yet another proof that you don't need a full bouquet to create complexity. This scent is beautiful in its simplicity - extremely easy to wear, but also deep, balmy and gorgeous on the skin. It lingers and develops stunningly. However this name is really confusing, considering the absence of jasmine notes in it.

Arlene-Beatrix

Very nice, deeply balsamic scent, based on creamy sandalwood. Chic, sophisticated and ladylike. A must have for floral oriental scents' lovers.

Tulipano

Oh my God! You are back! Feeling overwhelmed! I have always wanted to have you, but then you disappeared! You are sexier and more elegant! The dominant jasmin cannot be overlooked! You are here and I cannot be happier!

jovejove

They're launching splendida magnolia this fall. It's going to be a fiery red bottle. Looks stunning!

ScarlettX

I just looked at my comment for the older version of Jasmin Noir and I remembered that I didn't like it at that time. I like this one now though. I like the tonka bean, spicy sandalwood, woody notes and sweet gardenia.
It's not among my top favorites, but I must admit, it's classy. I guess, my taste in perfumes has changed over the years.
An intriguing evening scent full of mysteries.

Flowersnmusk

I really wanted to like this. After reading a few favorable reviews I blind bought a bottle which was expensive. I loved Mon Jasmin Exquise and hoped I would love this scent too.
But such was not the case. This scent is very sweet smelling in the opening and the dry down seems to occur immediately. There does not seem to be anything in the middle I can detect. The dry down is very weak on my skin and smells like the beginning. It is amazing this is considered a perfume because it is more like a cologne in its strength. . Within an hour this lacklustre performance is all but gone. The Esquise Mon Jasmin smells like the green Chloe which is a very pretty summer fragrance. But in one hour, poof it is gone on my skin which is dry on the arms and normal on my neck. I like a perfume that has some silage and staying power. I guess Bulgari is not for me.

Soir de Lune is more what I like and Eau de Soir is second. They are both more sophisticated and give the sillage and longevity I love.

I am in love with this scent. Sexy and classy! Has a more dominant jasmine note compared to the classical Jasmin Noir and also stays longer on the skin without turning into a pure woody scent by still protecting its floral characteristics. The one I'll never give up wearing.

Avsolutely STUNNING! An all year around leaning from sunset to evening scent! Sexy! Has similiarity with Lush Lust, just not so in your face!Sparkling champaign-like with almonds and tonka beans. Purrrrrrfection ! This is a floral woody scent! I realise that in the above description the almond note is not listed. NOT TRUE! It is in there! Ultra feminine perfume .
Excellent sillage a bit more than an arms length and longevity is appr 8-11 hours.
