It is an unique odour but the sales man emphasizes its longetivity, it has not longetivity more than 1 hour on my skin. Also I do not think it has good sillage. I am frustrated. İt doesnt worth to its price.

jmichelleruggieri

My absolute favorite perfume ever. But for almost $400, the "way overpriced" button was made for this.

nnma239

There is nothing unnatural about this perfume. It smells utterly NATURAL! I smell all the notes, especially honey - my favorite note and food, plum and Tuberose. My mom hates Tuberose so naturally I have also never been a fan, until I smell this. The perfume made me respect Tuberose as a flower now. There's sweetness but it is natural (again) sweetness from honey, very lovely and sensual and not candy-like or heavy. If you like heavy, heady perfume I don't imagine you liking this one. Overall it is an elegant flowery frangrance that doesn't scream yet make you feel special, it goes with your casual date ideas but goes with a wedding dress, at least that is what I personally feel. The only drawback is sillage is poor, for this price everyone expects it to last longer and project better, but to be honest, most of extracts are of flower and a mostly flowery perfume never lasts as long as a vanila/amber/spices/wood oriented one. So I treasure it while it lasts, which makes me appreciate the moment more.

I wear it on days that are special to me, so not daily, but I also reach for it when I have anxiety or hyper 'brain', because this smell just calms me down, it wraps me in stability, peace and confidence, it is a mood-uplifter I can always trust. The scent is airy, light, yet deep, sweet, while remain away from being scratchy, heady, sour, armpit smell, or artificial. Some people say it is not unique formula and I agree, but this perfume is so well blended that I never smell something like this. I guess it is a scent that only certain people will appreciate, especially at this price point, but for me it is a no brainer. Sorry for the rant, but, definitely a recommendation!

This perfume smells just like Xerjoff Dama Bianca!!!! The dry down of this perfume on your clothes is Dama Bianca. Beautiful fragrance but no Sillage. It’s really sad that the juice doesn’t match the performance.

aviegravy

this is beautiful. fresh, realistic lily with just a touch of that classic byredo leathery plum.

Eupatoria

This is a more elegant and sophisticated version of Do Son by Diptyque. It’s white flowers (tuberose, gardenia, lily) wrapped in a warm amber layer. I love it and bought the bottle immediately after testing it.

But it has no longevity or sillage, which is shocking for an Extrait. I would be happy to pay the price again and again if it did. I will not be repurchasing this one, sadly, but I will enjoy every last drop while I have.

Ella7712

This is a lovely soft floral-honey fragrance, I really like it, but I expected a better sillage and longevity. It's an extrait for goodness sake! I have many cheaper scents that outperform this. I'll enjoy it while it lasts but will not repurchase. Massively overpriced.

nmua

This is a wonderful sticky white floral. Not too sweet. Easily my favorite from Byredo as I don't get that intense undertone many of their fragrances have.
In no universe is it worth the outrageous price tag.

Fragranceobsessed xoxo

Absolutely beautiful fragrance. This is classic in my opinion. If you’re sick of the current trends then this is for you. She’s the lady who goes for brunch with her friends wearing her vintage Chanel blazer full of life and laughter. It does give me a 90s vibe as it has a strong resemblance of ‘Givenchy Amarige’. Both beautiful white floral fragrances.
I mostly get Gardenia and lily from this. Two of my most adored fragrance notes. When I wear this I feel like a lady from Beverly Hills who is obsessed with her handbag collection gifted from her husband. Love it!

To me Byredo is hit or miss. Not sure this is a hit. The honey here is not photorealistic or anything-realistic (I`ve smelled/tasted everything from buckwheat to linden honey).
It`s more of a honey-scented soap and not a luxury one either. It`s like "let`s agree to call this artificial note with a burnt plastic hint Honey". If anything it smells like bitter-ish almond of all things.
It`s like a bad cream on a good cake base.
Not a bad powdered gardenia but omg this honey is way too fake. Also good luck finding lily or lactonic notes.

No idea why it has high ratings.
It`s ok.

I first smelled Casablanca Lily in a Salzburg parfumerie on a chilly day in late August 2021. It stuck with me and I regretted not buying it then. Now that I have it, I can share a bit more.
This is a favourite of mine, really beuatiful and feminine. Classic, yet not mainstream. A tad heavy in the beginning, not too sweet.
It doesn't smell like laundry detergent, at least not to me and people around me.
As for longevity - it really lasts forever and the reviews hereinunder puzzle me!
It stays it on my skin and hair for more than 20 hours. Sillage is moderate.

I guess it's a bit overpriced, however, I'd probably buy it again.

Mc1995

Pretty. But honestly you guys, if this is out of your price range, to me is smells super similar to Lalique by Lalique, from 1992, which can be found for 45$+

Ilikewhatilike

Very nice date night fragrance. The white florals are pronounced and bring a smile to your face. The honey is not feral (like you get with some other honey frags). It’s luscious and adds swag and opulence. It’s not artificial, but I get a ‘perfume’ vibe to it (maybe the classic combination of tuberose and carnation).

My favourite from the night veils collection and one of the better frags from the house.

I had a good 4-5 hours of projection before it became closer to the skin, which also suits the objective for most dates.

vulgarsaint

scent-wise my favourite fragrance byredo has ever released. while it doesn’t smell like lilies at all, it’s a stunning, luxurious white floral with a beautiful honey dry down. not cloyingly sweet, elegant, beautifully blended. i love it by itself and layered with rose of no man’s land.

BUT and that is a very big but, labelling this as an extrait de parfum is either a joke or a mistake. both the projection and the longevity are, to me, are similar if not weaker than the regular byredo line (and if we’re being real with ourselves the byredo performance already leaves a lot to be desired).

i don’t need every perfume i own to be overpowering, having your scent enter the room before you do is not always appropriate or desired. however we are talking about an almost $300 (270€) price tag for 50ml here. it should perform better.

i’m in love with this scent, however i just cannot justify spending that amount of money on a full bottle, if it doesn’t deliver what it should be delivering. if they ever decide to reformulate and make it actually perform like an extrait should be performing, i’ll be the first in line to get it though.

gpesav

I was a bit hesitant to try this as I am not a fan of the smell of lilies but I was pleasantly surprised. This does not smell like lilies or super floral to my nose. On my skin, I smell mainly honey. The dry down is my favorite. It smells so clean. Definitely a contender in my search for the perfect wedding perfume. I think this is best for spring/fall/winter. It might be too strong for the summer heat, though I have yet to test it in the summer. It sits pretty close to the skin and has ok longevity. Pricey for what it is but I haven’t smelled anything like it.

Enrium

The "Lily" of the title is a misnomer; while this is a white floral scent, there is no discernable lily note here. Instead, it is a classic sweet tuberose with an eighties-style plum note up top followed by a rich, honeyed drydown. While linear, it is lovely throughout.

Casablanca Lily opens with clean, heady tuberose, sweet and lush yet lightweight. Gardenia is hidden in there, complementing the white floral accord. The plum adds deep, jammy fruitiness in the early stages. Alongside the tuberose note, it draws obvious comparisons to Poison, but this is like Poison Light, made for a modern audience.

As it develops, clove-like carnation adds a spicy edge to the white florals, a nice counterpoint to the white florals. Honey slowly emerges as it dries down, keeping the florals sweet but is never cloying. Some soft woodiness creeps in as it fades, becoming a slightly musky sweet skin scent with the florals remaining until final fade. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting.

A simple but beautifully-formed feminine tuberose scent, CL is sweet throughout but never cloying. A transeasonal gem. 4/5.

This is an amazing perfume, no doubt about it and I'm so in love with it: Classy, elegant, deep and heady white flowers. However, no one can make me believe that it's extrait de parfum. It doesn't deserve the price tag. I will be chasing a bottle from a trusted seller or giving a chance to its closest dupe, Amarige by Givenchy.

Edit: I remember someone writing under Tobacco Mandarin and wishing for a dupe by Zara. I don't have high expectations from Zara on that, but Oakcha, looking right at you. I believe they could easily create a dupe as their formulas are extrait de parfum as well.

ida-nugent

I usually find honey notes a bit cloying and uninteresting on my skin but I'm finding this to be an exception. The florals are gorgeous. The dry down is fairly linear to me but the woody honey notes linger and blend beautifully into warm sweet skin scent. Smells expensive and is expensive. It's doesn't suit my taste well enough to invest in a FB but I enjoy the experience :)

edit: forgot to mention longevity. I see others have found it short lasting but I'm still smelling it vividly after applying it 9 hrs ago.

MxchiiBich

Look. This perfume is amazing. And I really, really love it. But for the price point... the longevity is disappointing. Especially for one labeled Extrait De Parfum, I kinda expected it to last longer. This is a beautiful perfume.. but I would definitely opt for dupes because girl I ain't payin shit load of money on perfume just for it to last mere 2 hours

Entle29

First time I tried this one it was love at first sniff. I sprayed it on my wrist, and it was just fantastic the rest of the evening, couldn’t stop smelling it. My partner later bought it for me for Valentines Day and I must say, it made me love him more😍

laurenleong

i'm usually not a fan of white florals, but this is so stunning. it's sophisticated, feminine, and innocently seductive. beautiful for date night and even everyday wear. for byredo standards, longevity and sillage are great, but compared to everything else, it's average, and quite poor for an extrait. performance expectations aside, this perfume makes me feel so pretty and romantic!

HeatherMuffin

Really beautiful sweet floral. brings me to childhood. Almost smells like a B&BW lotion I had as a kid. (Maybe sweet pea). Im really enjoying the sample I have but it doesn’t smell special enough and doesn’t make me weak at the knees so I won’t get a full bottle.
**tried this decant again today and I’ve confirmed something in it makes me feel nauseous. I think it might be the type of wood in the base.
Wood and leather notes can make me feel sick, and I think it’s from chewing on my leather mit on the baseball fields as a kid.

Harika

I purchased this perfume at the Byredo store and really love the floral that eventually settles into the honey notes on my skin. I wished it lasted longer on me - I have to say probably for about 3-4hrs.

It is a beautiful scent for winter that makes
me feel feminine and romantic - it brings a warmth and makes being out in the cold enjoyable! Love this scent! Highly recommend!

MatchaCat

Hmm. I wonder where people are smelling this one. Some mention that the white floral is harsh or detergent like. Are they getting samples from older batches that have gone bad? I once ordered from a decant website and got fakes. So watch out.

I smelled Casablanca Lily in Saks and tried it on my skin. It was pure perfection. It's a very realistic, delicate white floral with a honey base. The white floral is not cloying or detergent like at all, not powdery either. It's softly creamy, as if you're smelling the actual flower. It's perfectly blended with a deep honey base that isn't sweet either. Very classic and feminine.

Smell: 10 out of 10
Longevity: 7 out of 10

For reference, I'm female.

lmnsvgz

Strong white floral, prominent tuberose. A very heavy scent. Smells a bit dated.

kozlowski

Artistry.

johancastellanos

First of all I’m a guy and sometimes I like to smell floral scents. This! Is from another world… It’s a BEAUTY.
It does lean more feminine but I don’t mind… I would definitely wear it. I actually think this scent on a man would add ambiguity to his character.
I’m in love with this scent ♥️ I haven’t had this feeling about a fragrance in such long time.

Seranity

Stunning. A beautiful, feminine perfume with classic white floral notes, but a deeper, almost molasses like honey note that's not overly sweet, but just hints at being there. There's a hint of the plum that becomes stronger as it dries down, but not over bearingly so. The notes in this perfume blend like a dream. No harsh components, it's so smooth. It's non offensive and sexy, it smells lux and expensive. It is way too expensive, but i would repurchase this again. Definately staying in my top 5 perfumes. I'm loving it. My collection is around 100 perfumes and this is one of the best by far. Pity it doesn't come in smaller bottles and travel size though, especially at these prices. Every woman should beable to try this scent.

marten77

I like the smell. It smells like a classy... cleaning detergent- fabric refresher.

greguvka

I love it. Very realistic floral scent without excessive sweetness. On my skin lasts long. Only downside is the price, otherwise would make it my daily.

vixpie

Casablanca Lily has sophisticated elegance that makes you feel classy. I can smell a slightly green and honeyed white floral, sort of like tea leaves. It smells clean, sweet and shampooey. On some days, it's slightly bitter but then there is a sweetness that follows shortly afterwards. I find it addicting and alluring but it escapes from me as I can't smell it on myself however I have received a lot of compliments while wearing it. I can smell a similarity to Givenchy Amariage however I find Casablanca Lily to be smoother and sweeter.

Dina France

If you read the description you'd imagine something very sweet. It's not! And if you think Extrait de Parfum is always intense. This one is not. To me it's a gorgeous and very realistic lily, so well composed and balanced (vs Rouge Malachine with Tuberose overdose). I am amazed how something tender like this has such a great sillage and longevity. Totally worth the price!

DinaFrance (perfume reviews on youtube)

violeteme

Honeyed nondescript white floral. That's exactly what it is. There are some moments it smells like tea with honey. Way overpriced.

mayberry

If you know what 90's Givenchy Amarige smells like. This is that!

Eribert

This is very reminiscent of Le Labo‘s „Lys 41“.
A fluffy-white unisex fragrance with a misleading name. As others have written before (and as is the case with Le Labo‘s fake lily) this has a lot of tuberose, but carries not an ounce of lily in it. And I’m not exclusively talking about notes here, but also about the artistic expression.

To make it short: lily-lovers like me are likely to be bitterly disappointed, people looking for a modern, urban „white“ fragrance can give this (or „Lys 41“) a try.

aaronmilic

Sampling this one today. On a card (which it stained so be careful) this was all Tuberose. On my skin however there's a lot more going on. Found it comforting and refreshing for the two hours I could smell it. After that for an hour it was a skin scent and now, totally gone.

This is supposed to be an extract and yet barely even performs as an EDC. And this continues to be my main issue with this house. High prices with low performance. I like what lamourmorbide said below, I think it sums it up perfectly.

nauditaolivia

A friend of mine once said I smell like a mosquito repellent. I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. Will not buy another bottle.

cocofluff

+ tuberose and honey. No lily, but not a deal-breaker either.

MatheaR

This fragrance caught my attention as the notes seemed interesting, and perhaps different from other white floral scents.
The opening is very unpleasant to my nose, mostly because of the honey and tuberose combination. The honey is too strong, yet not sweet, but rather tangy and harsh. The tuberose is, at first, too leathery, almost flesh-like.
The true beauty of this fragrance comes forth during the dry down. It is beautiful, sensual, warm, and inviting. Unfortunately, the sillage is weak, barely detectable. It’s such a shame, as with a powerful projection, it would have been a warm and unusual white floral scent. At this concentration, it is not worth the money.

sarahmuhammad

This one is sharp that it smells like a clothes detergent even though it has a classy vibe to it. Maybe if it was softer it would’ve given the right vibe.

Natashaestelle

I love Casablanca Lily.

On my nose, it smells mostly tuberose and honey. It's very airy and delicate. Very clean and rather sensual at the same time.

I feel as though this is the kind of perfume you'd wear to bed or for an intimate date. Don't expect the whole room to notice the scent— its sillage is moderate but lean towards the intimate side. You can still smell them on yourself, and perhaps others in closer proximity.

I think this fragrance embodies quiet luxury— it doesn't scream on your face. It's very classy indeed.

Kterhark

I fully intended on reviewing this (the sample isnt cheap) but I couldn't smell it. I even dumped the entire 1 ml on myself...got 3 minutes of enjoyable scent then poof. It was so fleeting I cant even remember what I wanted to say about it. Hmpf.

ckorp8

Nothing lily about this. All tuberose through and through. Plum and honey are there buried under the tuberose heap. Gardenia is almost undetectable at first then gets stronger later on during drying down. A rather feminine perfume.

Rotten Rebel

I just did a review of this on my Youtube "Rotten Rebel."

I think this is a beautiful floral focused perfume where the floral mix is not too sharp nor too heavy thanks to the slightly sweet side of it.

The sweetness is not intense in any way, and it makes the whole scent more round, appealing and lends it a sexy feeling.

I'm sensitive to overly floral perfumes but this one balances right on the edge and I think it's a FAB perfume.

lamourmorbide

Weak and sweetly honeyed florals. Inoffensive, if low quality doesn't offend you. Pleasant, the way you would consider a laundry detergent pleasant. Also totally exchangeable. The equivalent of a decorative yet nondescript still life that someone purchased for their dining room and paid far too much for purely because of the painter's name (as their collection grows and they catch up on knowledge, they find it to be a fake).
Another offering from a brand with mass appeal that manages to pose as a niche brand through clever marketing (if one simply raises the price high enough, the pool of potential buyers dwindles and "niche" is the natural consequence, no?). Obvious benefits include that one gets to blend in and smell inoffensive whilst considering oneself a subtly rebellious, uniquely tasteful urban connoisseur.

Random11233

First spray is enchanting and intoxicating. Subsequent sniffs lead me to think it smells like a refined shower gel. It's definitely unisex. A bit fruity on the dry down, but not obviously so. Smells "fresh" and "clean."

squidward

The comparisons to Amarige are utter nonsense.
Amarige smells like someone's hot 90s mom: pretty, assertive, but predictable.
Casablanca Lily feels like your distant rich aunt washed your softest tshirts in a laundry detergent that nobody can afford. That rides in on a foundation of warm (but not sickly sweet) honey and the result is a creamy and sophisticated clean floral that hugs your brain from the inside.

Hanoian

I am not sure how anyone could describe this as a clean, white floral. It’s very fruity due to the plum, quite sweet and rich, with an honey/amber quality that reminded me slightly of Ambre Narguilé. It’s a cozy scent but quite old-fashioned without any sparkle or lift. I can appreciate it but would never wear it!

emerson10

Smelled this side by side with Flowerhead. Flowerhead definitely feels more similar to the Michael Kors and Gucci Blooms of the perfume world. This one is SLIGHTLY different, but to me, these are both strong white florals.

There's something lotion-y about this-- I almost get a slight sunscreen vibe. Like Plumeria from B&BW mixed with Gardenia. I smell the carnation as well because I'm getting something anisic.

If white floral frags are your jam, this one is very nice, but I would never be able to justify the cost.

Pixie At Heart

There's something in this scent that I can't stand. I'm yet to find out which note that is but it overall it smells like a cheap perfume mixed with sweat, just awful. Byredo scents are hit and miss to me, I love the complexity of Mojave Ghost and Bal d'Afrique for example, but this and Blanche are a hard pass. Looking at the raving reviews it shows how different people's perceptions are about scents, what some find pleasing, triggers others.. It does last, more than any of the others mentioned above, this one's just not for me.

GB Fragrances

Casablanca Lily and Amarige are as different as day and night. While Amarige is a great fragrance for its category, it doesn’t come close to Casablanca Lily. Both are sexy, intoxicating and huge compliment-getters and Amarige lasts longer, but CL is luxurious , screams class and there’s no doubt it smells niche.

Gabriel.1440

I find it completely nonsense that some people are destroying the reputation of this perfume by stating that it does not last.
Would anybody with a brain between their ears expect poor performance (30 min) from an established niche house with such a pricetag? I'll begin first with the scent...

I love this scent very much and I find it magical. When it comes to quality materials and the quality of blending, this perfume is at the highest level possible. I would even say that the quality is much better than many Rojas I've tested. With other words, this is ultra luxurious.

With such a note-combination you would expect a beast-mode performance. WHICH INDEED IS THE CASE. Every time at the counter I hesitate to buy it because of the performance rating on fragrantica. Though every time I test on skin, and it lasts me at least 12 h+. I would even think that the projection and performance are annoyingly strong.

However, I would strongly criticize the pricing. It is indeed crazy expensive.

Please, stop trashing on perfumes that you haven't tested. It's causing our community a great deal of dammage.

black_orchid

Givenchy Amarige with niche price. Go for Amarige if you like this.
