"The early buzz of the city mixes with a gust of fresh morning air streaming through an open window. Las Ramblas and La Boqueria slowly fill with the sound of daily activity, as fresh-picked bouquets, ripe fruits and spices are unveiled releasing an exotic mixture of aromas. As the streets come alive and the Mediterranean sun warms the day, beams of light cast shadows that dance in city plazas and parks. All senses are captivated by the dynamism of Avenida Diagonal, the grandeur of Paseo de Gracia...A seamless blending of old and new. At night, the pulse deepens and darkens as the city reveals its mysterious and most sensual side." - a note from the brand.

D600 is a beautiful perfume with iris. It doesn't remind me so much of Dior Homme. Carner's perfume stands out more in the woody and vanilla facets but is less sweet and less powdery. To me personally it smells like extremely quality soap and gives me a very cozy enveloping sensation.

It has a peppery and citrusy opening that soon reveals the creamy iris as the main note, accompanied by a lot of cardamom, a very light jasmine and a vanilla note very recognizable from the brand. About two hours after application, the woods begin to gain strength in the composition and, together with the vanilla and iris, compose the drydown. Both the sweetness and powderiness of the fragrance are there but they are light.

On my skin it has a moderate sillage and lasts 12 hours, close to the skin but clearly noticeable for the last 4-5.

Although I think it is very unisex beautiful perfume, it leans for me more toward the masculine side. I think it is a warm fragrance, versatile in terms of occasions of use and elegant, to be used at will during the winter months.

Ground hound

Starts off as baby powder but then all the citrus and vetiver freshness opens up. Yes it has interesting sides but that powdery note is choking out everything.
I can see how the intention was good but the performance was not.
No idea why it`s compared do Dior Homme Intense, I have both, they have Very little in common.
DHI is cold wood with light orris, D600 is baby powder with spice and some orris.
I just don`t like baby powder in perfumes, it`s an immediate turn-off, and this one has plenty although not mentioned in the notes (but mentioned in the comments).

ps.konak

This perfume has been released for quite some time, but the scent is modern, I often get compliments when I wear it.

RiddlesKitty

Peppery baby powder. Fresh vanilla baby wipes.

If you want to attract someone you can have kids with, this is a great choice.

straightupfragman

I'm not normally lazy with my reviews but this time is an exception as I only came on here to check if people think this smells like DHI and yes a good number of folks get the same vibe I got. While not 100%, D600 and DHI share a great deal of similarity - both them are super addictive and smell extremely nice!!!!!! Unisex at best, but like DHI I would be more comfortable to rock it as a male than a female.

Super peppery, cardamom infused iris vanilla. It's like if you spilled an entire pepper mill of freshly ground black pepper into Loubirouge by Louboutin. It's actually really lovely; warm, spicy and slightly masculine!

Comicalcupcake

Everyone's writing about the iris vanilla when I mainly get grapefruit and vetiver. Unique, sweet, and a little stinky.

aniton

This does not work with my chemistry. Smells cold and unsettling. It is an interesting fragrance, loving the notes in theory, there's cardamom which I love, and pepperiness all very interestingly done, but it doesn't work for me. It becomes annoying after a while. I don't hate it however. It can probably be pulled off by a right personality.

Not_So_Perfumy

When I smelled D600 for the first time on a paper strip I really liked it; it's the type of very balanced perfumes, with notes playing a graceful symphony I always search for.
I purchased a sample, I wore more it, and unfortunately I'm extremely disappointed.
It smells like face powder on me; very feminine smelling. It's very different from the paper strip.
THANK GOD FOR SAMPLES!!!

siganteng69

the best irish fragrances.
easy to use day or night.
sp is also good.
but it's hard to get this gem again, I have to save it.

After getting a bottle and looking at reviews everywhere, I think the comparison with Dior homme has been carried over the years. Dior homme was THE iris fragrance when this first launched, so this was compared to it, there was no Prada l’homme, for example, which I find a lot closer to D600.
D600 is a clean iris fragrance, powdery, soapy, with a spicy-woodsy-vanilla background.
I had Prada lhomme, which I really enjoyed for a time, but bored me.
I find D600 really similar, just creamier in the drydown, something that I appreciate. Is less sharp, smoother, creamier and overall more interesting.

I like this a lot, is pleasant and projects well; i was struggling to try infusion d’homme, gave up and bought this getting what I was expecting the Prada to be like.

moisesst

If Dior homme intense lacked confidence

Klonoa07

This is just cedar and cardamom on my skin 😩. I was hoping to smell the iris and vanilla. This smells nothing like Dior homme to me. I will not be purchasing a full bottle, thank goodness I only purchased a sample.

heidihelena

This smells peppary warm iris on paper but dirty on me. Strong dislike, unpleasant scent on me. I love dior homme intense and others with similar notes.

derby2169

Once again a chewy woody vanilla cedar mix with powdery notes. Nice but redundant and infinitely eclipsed by Dior Homme Intense like most of the genre which btw you can find for like 80 bucks on discounters. There is more of a focus on the vanilla here less Iris and a transparent resinous cedar backbone replacing the mildly chocolatey patchouli touch in the dior.
It feels a bit more unisex and all in all like a less striking and daring DHI, as long as DHI is in hands reach i can’t imagine wanting this one, but that’s just personal preference.

muzzbait

There's iris in this, alright, and quite a lot, but its major elements are muted quite substantially by other components. I was hoping to get more 'irisy' elements to it, but unfortunately it has not come to pass. I'm happy to try this out again, but the iris qualities I was hoping for aren't quite here.
Mostly woody and vanilla elements are what stick out, for me.
Either way, it's nice enough as it is, but not what I was hoping for...

silthrill

Holy woody vanilla iris sexiness. Where has this been all my life? Not sure about the Dior Homme comparisons but this is giving me TF Tobacco Vanille vibes and I’m here for it. Just instead of tobacco it’s the cozy wood notes that set the stage and then get tamed by the vanilla. Instant love- full bottle worthy. Pairs great with Molecule 01+ Iris to brighten for daytime, otherwise a delicious nighttime fragrance.

Post-edit: still adore the scent but performance and projection were both horrible. Got rid of my bottle as the scent just didn't last on my skin (or clothes).

Ksj_

This is a beautiful woody/Iris/vanilla combination, and it is very well blended. With that being said, I do think it’s a stretch to say it resembles Dior Homme. You really have to dig your nose in there to get any hint of Dior from this fragrance; especially because Dior is a strong lipstick Iris, and this is a creamy Iris. Also, I think it stands on its own and is full bottle worthy to those who enjoy a creamy Iris.

Nicely done.

cwavah

good scent. , pepper and the bergamot play well until finally the iris comes in to dorminant the scent .. I wouldn't match it with Christian dior - Dior homme Intense as D600 is more peppery especilly in the opening

niagara2

I like this a lot, it's a vanilla-forward fougere of great quality.

spiceysauce5

i find this much much better than dior homme, less lipstick and the iris is less heavy, but the scent is still fairly potent. I get some labdanum type smokey sticky sweetness hidden beneath the vanilla. I get a creaminess as well. Very good quality and very well done. And i really dislike dior homme.

Alireza.D2

Dior Homme is here but with more complexity and beauty.
Peppery vanilla woody with a powerful iris touch.
I don‘t get much citrus here as it fades away quickly.
Very beautiful and correctly blended.
Its difficult for me to choose between D600 and Dior Homme as they are both great but differently similar !

Bouquet Bleu

Barely no iris, just pepper and cardamom, has also a nutmeg vibe. Sort of an aromatic gourmand that evolves into an understated skin scent. Unisex, elegant and cozy at the same time. Like Old Spice but colder and more peppery. I find little resemblance to Dior homme, d600 is dryer and more peppery. A no brainer for all occasions and chilly-sunny weather, but worthy of a more evocative name imo.

Arber Cami

This perfume smells like when you enter an apothecary or even the dentist. A strange smell in my opinion. I don't get the Iris at all. I only get vetiver, cedar and pepper...

Gretafrisnes

This one smells to me a bit like Dr.Pepper! In the best way. I like it!

Trendkill97

Nice contrast between uplifting grapefruit - sharp pepper blended with dense iris and jasmine. In the mid it reminds me of a very expensive luxurious soap bar, clean and airy. As it dries down further, the cardamom opens really well and balances out the scent with the vetiver and some slight sweetness as it stays on the skin. Decent longevity with soft projection. A well done Iris scent overall. 7.5/10

Nataliemarie

Don't buy this is you don't like a lot of Iris. I sprayed before even coming here to read a thing, & was immediately like "OMG the IRIS" Not a fan. Love some of their others.

amatuerfraghead

Agree with the review that said this is a metrosexual fragrance. It doesnt smell like men fragrance, nor women and neither unisex. I dont have dior homme intense nor valentino uomo so i dont know how this compares to them, but i do find iris (plus the vanilla) in d600 already too lipsticky, cloying, sweet and a reminiscence of vintage female make ups. This isnt for me, and maybe neither dhi nor uomo.

880267

An absolute delicious surprise.

I get a spicy-peppery opening then powdery woody-iris and a rooty vetiver with vanilla.

I do see how people compare this to Dior Homme/Valentino Uomo. This is basically a less lipsticky and less chocolatey (and better) version.

I love the intimacy and the gentle sillage...like a cozy-elegant-aura. Very versatile, I see this as an all-year round fragrance.

This is refined, elegant and gentlemanly. It brings forth images of a handsome, well dressed, relaxed gentleman, sitting in a coffeeshop reading a good book.

kristina_atanassova

A beautiful, fresh and powdery, peppery iris. Wonderful for the days that aren't too hot. (Goes well with a cup of coffee ;-)

Tamlin

A lot of people say this is similar to Dior Homme...
I've worn Dior Homme a lot, and I don't agree at all!

I mean, sure, D600 might be described as in the same general category as Dior Homme in that they are both soft, smooth, "metrosexual", slightly sweet, relatively warm, and a bit floral, but the overall impression and character is completely different. Sure they have the Iris note in common, but D600 takes it an entirely different direction.

Dior Homme is more clearly masculine and has a leathery, chocolatey vibe which D600 does not have.
D600 is more unisex, cleaner and much more soapy...
It might be the best soapy scent I've smelled, like the most luxurious, rich and creamy bar of soap you'll ever find.
Has a buttery feeling that borders on lotion.
The sweetness and creaminess almost gives it a gourmand touch.
I really enjoyed the opening.

However... As it dries down, it changes.
Some of the notes disappear, while other notes - especially the soap - remain. To my nose, it unfortunately turns into a very feminine "mature" soap... Ok, I'll say it: it reminds me of old lady soap.

The opening is pretty great but I'm afraid the drydown kinda ruins it for me. :(

mikecch

D600 is a sensual scent indeed.
A topping of peppered and spiced orris butter, gradually becoming sweetened and floral.
The scent has good depth, and a natural profile, not irritating the nose despite quite a spiced opening.

D600 skews slightly masculine to my nose, the orris/iris being darker rather than excessively powdery.

D600 is a versatile and charming scent.
Recommended.

Fitzgerlad8222

I really enjoy this fragrance. Its an easy grab and one of the most versatile scents for all occasions and seasons minus the summer of course. It is well blended and I predominantly pickup the notes of iris, vanilla, cardamom and vetiver. There's a powdery vibe due to the iris but nothing overbearing. Simply a pleasant and versatile scent. IMHO: 7/10

cvaile

On my first wearing this had many more DH/DHI similarities than it has after I've owned and worn it several times.

archiephillips is right on the money with the comment below - iris was made ubiquitous (at least with men's scents) by Dior Homme (or at least pre-2020 DH) sufficiently so that anyone who loves classic DH or DHI is transported to that scent as soon as you detect a promininent iris note. Much as Aventus owns the birch and pineapple notes, classic DH/DHI have almost a trademark on the iris note.

I now get that vetiver all the way through the development of the fragrance. It really sets this apart and makes it unique among my quality iris scents. Amazing stuff.

Djedi

Beautiful mix of vanilla, vetiver, and iris. There is some cardamom and pepper in the opening as well and its citric opening is gone in mere seconds, but it seamlessly blends into a very pleasant mix of vanilla and iris, whereby the rooty aspect of vetiver is noticeable. The spicy-woody accords of pepper and cardamom also remain in the heart and base notes altough buried under the vanilla-iris-vetiver. It's not nearly as powdery as DH and the iris in DH is much more pronounced in my opinion. I understand why people are comparing it to DH, but in that regard they aren't nearly as similar as some people make them out to be. In any case, Raynaud has made an excellent blend which is easy to wear and should appeal to fans of iris and vanilla scents in general. I get decent projection out of it in the beginning which then sits a bit close to the skin, but the longevity is better at around six to seven hours. Would be a great signature type scent or just for casual as well as formal settings. Well done.

Vitodito

Uffff this scent is just gorgeous.

To me, it’s a niche version of Dior Homme, and much more unisex.

The iris is quite prominent and is supported by a slight fresh vibe and pepper/vanilla combo.

I live in Barcelona and i’m so proud of it. The owners told me this is the most expensive essential juice of the entire house. Not surprised, top notch quality and wonderful sillage.

Love it!

aspirina

This is a powdery suede bomb. Suede and iris, musk, vanilla, cream/talcum, money...I would love to smell this scent on a mature, intelligent man.

GreatSwiftScent

a "niche-ier" Dior homme intense / Valentino Uomo intense
mid to low projection
last 12h+ skin scent after 5h

since I own Dior and Valentino I won't get a full bottle but you really do feel the quality of the ingredients used

Heidipeidi

At first it's a little sharp. It's the vetiver right? The dry down is smooth and reminds of Nivea sun creme. We like it both me and my husband. We might share the bottle.

SamM1971

Great niche Dior Homme alternative! Really well blended and great performance too. Starts a little more spicy and ends up a little more woody than Dior but that only makes it more interesting and adds character. If you don't like iris note, this could be your best compromise!!!

smunitz

Great blend, old material :)
This smells (very literally) like a blend of YSL L'Homme Ultime and La Nuit de l'Homme with a pinch of Dior Homme, only niche quality and the blend and performance is excellent. I had the above three but did not repurchase. This one however is a different story: the combination (while not revolutionary) is much easier to wear and the blend makes it a very good choice for the same situations you'd use Dior and YSLs: evening wear, cooler months, smartly dressed. Overall, it grew on me and I really like it but try it first: it's expensive and not for everybody.

ZZH

Great iris scent. Iris fans must try it.
Average longevity, but projection is pretty good.

Emorandeira

I thought It would be one of my favourite perfumes from this brand... And i think is the less between the ones i have tried. The perfume is nice, a very creamy and bit sweet iris, but It is too subtle for me and It is such creamy that i dont know if i wear a perfume or a hand cream with a bit of iris scent when i spray It. So i think that in this Rangel of price there are much better options...and even cheaper! For example gentleman edp by givenchy which shares the creamy & sweet iris vibe but with 10 times more intensity and better performance. A daily iris perfume for spring.

A complex iris with impressive development.

To address the elephant in the room, I have to say that I was reminded of Dior Homme when smelling D600, but it doesn't smell like Dior Homme. What it is, is that the iris note has become so synonymous with the DH line that any fragrance which contains the waxy iris accord immediately raises that comparison. But it is not the same fragrance.
D600 opens very spicy, with the black pepper and cardamom very prominent. As it begins to settle, the dry spiciness gives way to a lovely vanilla and iris mid supported by vetiver and cedar. In the deep drydown, D600 is primarily a vetiver-based fragrance with remnants of the previous stages still lingering.
This comes across as a bit more masculine that the DH fragrances as the powderiness is toned down and woods and spices dominate a lot of the composition. The performance is fine, but not fantastic.
In terms of whether I would buy this, I'm unsure. There are many iris fragrances on the market, each with slightly different interpretations, and I cannot seem to decide which is my favourite. It might well be this one, but I can't say I'm itching to add it to my collection.

I like it, but not bottle-worthy.

(dislike/indifferent/like, but not BW/like a lot, potentially BW/love, definitely BW/masterpiece)

JustFluxz

I mostly smell iris, vanilla, and vetiver. This is a powdery scent that I could see myself wearing on a cool autumn/spring day. When smelling this I envision someone that likes to dress nice, but still casually, someone that is laid back and welcoming. I could also see someone wearing this in a more dressed-up setting, like a wedding. This is one of my new favorites, but I do find it hard to find good times to wear it. It is not the easiest, nor the hardest, scent to wear.

Tlund

Great review below from Grillmaso. I agree 100%; similar notes to Dior Homme, but completely different proportions.
This has much more pepper, vetiver and cedar. It's funny to hear some reviews say it leans more masculine, and other say it leans more feminine. I go back-and-forth on that too. I guess that's what makes it so modern. Love to wear it myself, but does smell nice on women, too. Good for this time of year - Spring.

Grillmaso

Firstly, I need to say, that Dior Homme is one of my fav lines ever. So when I saw statements that this is close to it and my local discounter had last piece of this for 59 euro (!!!), I pulled trigger immediately.

tldr:

THIS IS NOTHING SIMILAR TO ANY DH.

but, I love it anyway, so not even mad.

8,75/10.

longer version:

- opening quite spicy and in your face, you get solid dose of pepper and cardamom
- after an hour, spice notes will fade away little, but they are still present, and most dominant is vanilla and vetiver/ceder back bone, all blended perfectly, with no trace of synthetics (to amateur nose of course)
- looking at note breakdown, I dont get any citruses, if there are some in opening, they got overpowered by pepper
- Iris, yeah, tiny traces of it, but just only because I know it is supposed to be in there, if Id try this blindly, I wouldnt be able to detect any Iris.

DONT SMELL THIS CLOSE to your skin - it is too spicy to my taste, spray on hand, and wave around for best experience.

- of my skin, this is not unisex at all. masculinity - spicy + woody notes are too dominant for this being considered unisex.

30-35 guy, works out, shirt or polo, jeans, works in marketing for big corpo, sitting at cafe house during golden hour, larger mediterranean city (Barcelona, Napoli, Nice). D600 combining with cafe and cigarette aroma from around cafes and sea vibes. Chatter of locals after workday mixed with tourists roaming city, which is not going to sleep anytime soon.

Too bad, that we will have to wait some time for such experience.

Stay safe friends.

This one is pretty amazing - it opens like a smoky vetiver flanker to La Nuit, it moves into a classic Dior Homme similarity in the mid, and then it finishes a powdery vanilla skin scent like the Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin skin phase.

Well can I just say that I found a 3.4 oz bottle on Amazon for about $93? It is en route to me. It was def easier to pay that than $200 at the boutique where I sampled it. Anyway I just wanna say I am in love with this scent. Everyone says pepper but to me it’s all a gorgeous symphony to support the woody vetiver note. This is the perfect blend for vetiver- I find it is often done wrong, for example Jo Malone’s iterations of vetiver.. The only one I love of Jo Malone’s is Myrrh and Tonka, one of my signatures.. anyway I’ve been obsessed with D600 since I first smelled it at this fragrance boutique a few months ago, but I couldn’t afford it. This scent almost perfectly recreates for me an essential oil blend bottle my roommate in college in NYC had called “Voodoo Nights”. I had thought she said that one was benzoin dominant but in recollection I know it was vetiver sweetened up with some vanilla and I don’t know what else.. Anyway I am so excited for it to get to me I LOVE it. I am a woman who generally loves woody scents- but not always, e.g. Chanel #5 and the juicy Amazing Grace Magnolia by Philosophy..

LadyIva

Mmmm, wonderful! I love aromatic fragrances, and this one contains a bunch of my favourite notes - vetiver, iris, bergamot, black pepper and cardamom. D600 is simultaneously fresh/green, spicy and powdery; it smells fun and invigorating. Due to strong iris (Nivea creme!) I’d say that it leans feminine; however, men can easily pull it off. The scent is powerful and long lasting, but never cloying. I love every second of it. 10/10

Fischer84

A very well-blended, sophisticated scent, which I think is very unique. When I first sprayed this, I got a fresh, green, grassy vetiver, but this scent has a very dramatic development and transforms completely when it dries down. It goes from a fresh vetiver to a warm cardamon vanilla. Those are the main notes I am able to pick up in this. I'm surprised to see so many people pick up iris so strongly. I really don't pick it up, and it's not very similar to Dior Homme in my opinion.

makemyluckyday

Smells like a better version of Dior Homme. Still has the same quality... Not watered down like DH.

msajoy

may i just say i LOVE this fragrance?iris and spices, omg....i dont care if this is a niche version of dhi or vui or not, this is definitely one beautiful bold creation which lasts forever and project so well.classy ,stylish, interesting and lush.the woody vanilla drydown is just amazing. this is how fragrance should be made...a Niche fragrance to be more specific...the presentation i find is very nice too though some say its simple. bottle has great glass quality and wooden cap which make you feel you are owning something precious.
10/10 for quality all the way

Jawjee

I think that this is a beautiful female fragrance. So I guess you could split the difference and call it truly unisex.
This has all the note elements I love in perfume. It has sweet round vanilla, hints of delicious spice, woody vetiver that along with the lemon and bergamot adds a tang. Delightful, floral iris to float above all that warm substance.
It has height and depth. From top to bottom a complete perfume to satiate the most discerning taste. I feel represented. I love it absolutely.

mohammad.anas.memon

I will start with little backstory first. When i was in Madina last year, i visited a Zara store in Al Noor Mall. There, i tested Zara Pour Homme III from tester bottle and immediately decided to get it but unfortunately it was out of stock. That fragrance smelled like a cross between La Nuit de l'homme and Dior Homme. When i came back i tried to layer these two fragrance but could not attain the magic that Zara one created.

Until i tried D600 by Carner Barcelona yesterday and it was a love at first sniff so much so that i went against my nature of careful purchase and ordered a full bottle within an hour of first sniff. Many reviewers, both on YT and Fragrantica called it niche version of Dior Homme. I agree with that analogy somewhat but not completely.

D600 starts off with spice, dominant among those are pepper and cardamom (kind of like in LNDL) but soon Iris (not lip-sticky like in DH) kicks in supporting the cardamom and creating a powdery aroma. This is when Vanilla magic happens. Vanilla hugs both Cardamom and Iris making it warm, sensual, luxurious, inviting, comforting all at the same time. D600 has the one of the most captivating dry downs i have ever put my nose on.

This is such a simple fragrance yet seems so complex. This might not make sense until you sniff it yourself. Longevity is decent enough and projection is just perfect for the kind of scent it is. This sits close to you and is perfect for indoor use. I personally feel that this is a "mature guy" fragrance instead of playful. If D600 was a person i would describe him as man who speaks less, listen more and minds his own business.

Scents & Vision

A smooth and creamy iris with spices to give it enough kick for cooler days.

Marvellous!!!

irfanabuhadi.1

I was pleasently surprised at the quality and smoothness of this beautiful fragrance from a relatively less known house out of Spain.
It opens with slightly spicy and gentle grapefruit notes and then very smoothly moves on to the base of vanilla and iris with a hint of woody cider and vetiver in the mix.
This fragrance is an absolutely delightful olfactory experience and probably the smoothest transition of sweet woody floral notes that I have ever come across.
An all seasons all occasion fragrance with a reasonably decent 1 hr silage and 4 to 5 hr lasting after 3 to 4 sprays.

rola.asad

Bright spicy scent!

Very masculine, it's a little bit sweet, I'm not sure why I smell lavender here, and it is not even listed in the notes!

A lot of cardamom with Bergamot, and vanilla in the background! it's spicy yet bright, good for all year around, wonderful for men,,, APPRECIATE!

Bubbles1964

I feel that this masculine leaning Carner Barcelona was made for me: creamy iris with spices overlaying a warm bed of vanilla pods. Nothing powdery. The vetiver and cedar take this scent into a long drydown. All aspects are extremely natural smelling, not a hint of anything synthetic.

I think D600 will be perfect for Spring. I’m annoyed that I love it so much (I already own more fragrance than I can wear in my lifetime). Now I’m on the hunt for a good deal.

hesione

I was relocated and this fragrance rendered very differently in the 2 places.. I personally feel it seems to work better in hot and humid weather more than dry and cooler one, because it's more well-rounded, less sharp and ashy, mostly smoky vanilla in the former but squeaky clean with more prominent Iris in the later.

GRAF

This is a sharp, spicy and bright dominant combo of powedery iris, vanilla, well balanced cardamom and mild vetiver. The rest notes are very mild. Beautiful scent for fall, spring, day and night and for cool summer evenings. Performance is above the average, sillage is high-moderate. Overall it's a beautiful unisex scent.

If you like spicy iris/vanilla combo in a woody base try it!

Arsenal Till I Die

The iris in this isn’t the lipstick kinda vibe and blends in more nicely in the drydow. More of the fresh and powdery sort. It’s quite peppery and spicy with and an underlying cleanliness about it. Vanilla becomes more prominent as it dries down..boring and not worth the price. Smells like a designer but not a good one either. Opening isn’t crash hot, drydown much better when the vanilla takes over. Would be a decent candle aroma. Underwhelming.

Muchacho

This fragrance is a powder iris bomb that lasts all day. If you're like me and you're looking for a scent that has a clean simple smell. Then D600 is a scent you should consider in your search. I advise that you test this fragrance on your skin before buying. Overall D600 is a 9/10 from me.

D600 is a magnificent scent and far superior to anything Dior has to offer on so many levels. D600 offers its signature creamy, buttery vanilla notes without the suffocating lipstick note (Iris) imposed on us in Dior Homme Intense.

D600 is more masculine, wearable, upscale and refined. It's a pleasure to wear fragrances from this House, especially while not many people currently know about it. Nothing like DHI.

As everyone has already mentioned, D600 is a masterpiece and a work of art. D600 isn't a huge smothering blob of iris and chocolate. It's more grown up, clean, and light with a hint of cherry.
All the notes are so incredibly well blended to perfection.

D600 is in the top 3 of my collection, and I've had hundreds (literally).

Really nice opening with buttery iris mixed up with a bit of pepper and smoke. Quickly vanilla appears to take the center stage, supported in the background by discrete woods. I get something almond like. Not that interesting as the beginning and not challenging, but nice overall. It's a harmless pleasant scent that will not offend anyone, very appropriate for the office.
I don't really get much resemblance with Dior Homme (which is better in every aspect), to me it's closer to Van Cleef and Arpels Bois d'Iris.

If I come at D600 with no preconceptions, I get a powdery cherry vanilla, very high quality. Love it!

Pepper cardamom on vanilla bed

I really don't sense much iris as much as pepper, vanilla, and cardamom. Some sour and wood notes are there but i can't define any iris in here, & i believe the pepper cardamom mix made people think it's iris. Some sour notes of lime and dirty soft vetiver are there.

Spicy i'd categorize this frag in.

I do love unisex frags but all 7 of my CB samples are a little too male focused for my liking? All 7. ☹
May I say the quality of materials here seems to be remarkably good.
I'd have loved Tardes if it wasn't for the heliotrope.

BloomPerfume

Beautiful and cozy iris. Perfect for early spring.
The iris reveals itself in some time though. D600 starts as grapefruit and jasmine before its powdery musky drydown.

If Guerlain did L'Eau de Shalimar properly, it would have smelled like that.

Palo Santo meets Tardes and you have D600. Not a bad frag, it's gourmand and it's pleasant. Vanilla and iris blended to perfection but lacks creativity.

Scent: 6/10
Longevity: 8/10
Sillage: 7/10
Cost ratio: 3/10

Overall: 6/10

Better to stick with Palo Santo or Tardes. Gourmand frag but at a price.

isanie

Strangely enough, this one smells almost exactly like the Palo Santo on me after a little while. Anyone else who notices the resemblance? Update: aha, I got the explanation. Palo Santo is basically the same scent as this one but with Palo Santo wood added.

Cherry_Darling

This is excellent. I don't get any citrus for me it's sweet powdery spicy with the cardamon and vanilla. Again I am getting a chocolate note that is not there, perhaps all this pre holiday chocolate I've been eating is seeping through my skin. A lot are saying this lasts but for me it's very faint after about half hour I can barely smell it. :( Would have loved to smell more of the woodsy notes.

"Warm, smooth and creamy... versatility and pleasantry at its purest."

D600 is a 2010 fragrance from Carner Barcelona. The Spanish perfume house first caught my attention with its 2011 offering Cuirs, a beautifully woody-smoky fragrance that is a elegant less potent version of Nasomatto's Black Afgano. Perhaps as a counterpart to Cuirs, D600 is Carner's answer for a woody-spicy fragrance.

The three main notes are vetiver, iris and vanilla. When I first tried it, I didn't really detect the iris and vanilla. Back then, I remembered it smelling milky-sweet at first (it was probably the vanilla but that didn't occur to me) and then it gradually changed into something slightly smoky and earthy, which is likely to be the vetiver at work.

After getting a decant sample of it and wearing it, I finally get the iris and vanilla notes. Plus, now that I sensed the main notes and glanced at what others claim D600 smells like, it does resemble Dior Homme (DH) a bit. It's much more faint and understated compared to DH, which is more pronounced and in-your-face.

D600 is perfect for daily office wear: it's pleasant and inoffensive. I think it is better to be worn in the day than in the night, but that's just a matter of preference. Will I get a full bottle for myself? It's difficult to say: the one letdown is that the projection isn't strong (for better or worse, I guess). I do enjoy wearing the fragrance a lot but I may not get a bottle; it's not the edgy kind that I usually favor simply because of how my skin works.

edit (2 Feb 2017): after wearing it the second time, I notice that the difference between D600 and DH is a slight tart note in the former, which I suspect is the grapefruit. Hence, D600 would be a little better for warmer weathers.

Ewalk81

Received a sample pack from Carner Barcelona and this was one of them.

Second day wearing this to work, and my word this is stunning. I guess fragrance is really based off of chemistry because I get pretty decent longevity from this scent. Very pleasing, not offensive at all.

The Iris and Vanilla are the stars of this scent (at least on my skin)

If I were to order this, it would have to be from the Carner Barcelona website though.

gelo999

Beautiful spectacular opening, looking at some stages to Dior Homme.

It is a good chord iris that has a spicy woody musky drying where cedar and vanilla round out the composition of the fragrance.

Good balance and harmony, with moderate duration and smooth trail makes it ideal for the day.
In cold weather it lasts still little and the trail is too soft, so I recommend throwing to warm climates.

They notes too synthetic appreciated during drying it lowers its quality.
Shame!!

It would be a nice scent, only longevity and sillage is very poor. It reminds me a lot of Dior Homme. Both has that powdery vibe only this one is more almond-creamy and Dior is more woody. Latest I like more as it has a stronger caracter.

tessture

Starts an oily, classic men's cologne, like a turn of the century barber shop, then dries rapidly to something smothered in baby powder. Sad!

benlane18

Gorgeous juice. It opens up with a sharp iris and powdery pepper, to me the pepper was a little bit off putting. The iris in D600 is very different to the iris in Dior Homme, in this it's much more bodied and it feels more accompanied. Also this has a less powdery feel in the iris note compared to DH.

The iris, partnered up with the vanilla which makes its appearance around 10-15 mins after first spray, makes for a very what I can only describe as a 'pretty' fragrance. The vanilla adds wamrth and really makes this iris note shine. Imo, only a certain man could pull this off...Well dressed, well groomed, non macho looking, well mannered, but reclusive.

A lovely scent, this is without a doubt for me, loving the sweet iris.

Arabian Knight

Make sure to test this on skin before forming an opinion.

All I could catch on the paper test was a sharp tangy baby-wipe accord that reminded me of "Infusion d'Iris" by Prada. I thought there's no way this could be worn by a man.

On skin, however, it changes character instantly. The iris feels more comfortably soft and powdery with an aromatic cardamom underneath.
As it dried down I detected traces of black pepper which darkened it up a bit and made me think a little of birch wood. At that point I felt it reminded me a of Cartier "Declaration", only with a residual baby-wipe sharpness, which must be down to the grapefruit.

So definitely more unisex than I initially thought and quite an accessible sophisticated day wear scent.

WildDove

I get mostly a cherry-fruity impression. Simple, clear, light, but very well done. Unisex, but could be especially charming on Latino men.

My memory of Barcelona is a bit cloudy, as I journeyed there by train from Paris and did not get much sleep, then I stumbled into some random hotel and passed out on the bed only to awaken in the middle of the night to pieces of plaster falling on top of me from the ceiling. Note to self: do not select arbitrary hotels located in the environs of train stations. A similar scenario transpired in Lille, where I also arrived in a state of sleep deprivation and walked unannounced into the first hotel I encountered upon disembarking from my train.

I left Barcelona the very next day after a meal out with my beau, who had flown from Los Angeles to meet me. We rented a car and departed within hours to Cadaquez. Eventually we meandered our way to Cannes. (I know it sounds glamorous, but it was not film festival season, so there were no paparazzi anywhere in sight!) Anyway, the seafood in Barcelona was good, and I liked the sound of the language. The architecture, too, left a lasting impression on my mind, so I'll probably go back there some day.

In the meantime, I can wear perfumes by Carner Barcelona. D600 must have some cryptic meaning, but I've no idea what it might be. The perfume represents a genre becoming increasingly familiar these days: a complex woody oriental. I'm not sure why there are so many of these, except perhaps that to ask niche prices perfumers need to attach a lot of bells and whistles. No harm done, of course: so long as the ingredients are good, the final perfumes tend to end up smelling perfectly nice, if not very memorable.

The opening of D600 reminds me of clean cigarette ashes, but as the perfume develops and dries down, it becomes more sweet and seems like an oriental not so much a woody composition. I also smell some iris in the midstages. Others have compared this creation to Dior Homme, which I unfortunately have not tried and so cannot comment. After everything settles, I am left with a somewhat indescribable layer of orientalia, which reminds me a bit of some of the Linari perfumes. Again, top-notch ingredients, complex composition, impossible really to mark off a clear territory on the grand olfactory map. Just another perfectly fine niche woody oriental to my nose.

Mos' Beth

This is a beautiful spicy iris fragrance. I adore the smoky black-pepper opening. Yum!

Postumo

The first time I tried it I though about Dior Homme... I've given it some time, and now I don't feel them that similar. Both are kinda powdery and had an interesting iris note, but, although both have a similar vibe, they are different enough.

My second and third wearings of this fragrance have convinced me. I would chose this fragrance over Dior homme and even DHI. Sadly, both Dior feel kinda pale on my skin, with DH having poor longevity despite its great smell. This one feels richer, denser, and longer lasting.

Starts peppery and develops to a powdery/creamy base with iris and a hint of citrus (not exactly citrus, but vetiver feels somewhat citrusy on my skin) over soft woods and vanilla. Very nice fragrance. Not over the top, but elegant and refined.

I'm not sure if I should find the idea of user "samihardanian" plagiarizing part of my Jaipur by Boucheron review flattering or unbecoming but it certainly feels odd....

Hélio Sérgio Rocha

Dark spices, soft vetiver and slightly powdery Iris...

But i do preffer Dior Homme because i found it richer and with better dry on my skin.

Pricey for what it gives...

Simple and a little synthetic.

:(
Sorry

I've found D600 to be a very enjoyable scent. A big sweeping vanilla note, that's really not sweet, tempered by a rooty powdery iris and a chewy vetiver. It has a fairly thick cosy feeling to it, without being categorised as purely a winter scent. Pretty unisex indeed but I do feel that men may as well just go for Dior Homme Intense, as they are quite similar and the Dior is easier to get a hold of.
Projection very nice as is staying power. My one complaint with this is that it's perhaps a bit safe, it has no pop. I like it, but I'm not willing to part with that much money for the FB. I'll enjoy my decant while I have it.

CourtrightHer

The first time I was given a sample of D600 Carner Barcelona (shortly after the line launched stateside), I recall being more impressed. Now it comes off a bit neither here nor there (which isn't as bad as it sounds but...)

Do get the DH reference.

A solid peppery note kicks it off with a citrus accord blending well upon it.

A faint iris and even fainter jasmine note certainly don't make much of a move here (where, where, where!). It's really the vanille that puts the sweat in the spice (pepper).

D600 certainly works for all (unisex), straddling the line well.

Sillage is there and longevity is just above board.

The flacon is nice but the label is second class (disappointment).

Over all, I do like it, just not loving it. Next.

Dsanz

A rather underwhelming scent. The composition is light and fleeting. Much rather stick to Dior Homme. Carner's Cuir, on the other hand, is very nice.

miguelan75

Reminds me a little by Dior Homme Intense, but in this spicy frag starts, with a smoothing iris, vetiver some, and in the background you smell like vanilla, this is surrounded with a touch of sweetness, very subtle but nice , unlike in DHI seems cloying. I loved Dior Homme Intense before, but now I use it , I smell a waxy note lifelong perfume on my skin and I can not bear it.
Try this perfume not disappoint, the sillage is great, and longevity over 12 hours on my skin.
A great perfume, I think it has its own grounds and is no copy, DHI is a little smell of iris and a large chocolate, here come into play many notes and vanilla.

Cereza

The opening for me is a full on blast of pepper and cardamon, very manly at this point, I get earthy vetiver in the background and iris is starting to show it's face. I find this to be extremely sexy and I love it on myself and also on my boyfriend on whom the scent opens completely different - its more citrusy and vetiver dominates the scent more than pepper.

Heart brings something marvelous for me, it's a creamy vanilla-iris with peppers settling down in the background. It feels almost edible actually as the vanilla is so milky and creamy that the peppery/sweet scent reminds me a bit of masala chai. I also get cedar which usually does not work for me, but here it is simply perfect addition to scent.

The base is what I love the most - cedar and vanilla, creamy and spicy at the same time, very sensual, dark and inviting.

Even though this feels manly upon opening, it developed feminine on myself and stayed manly on my boyfriend, so skin chemistry does wonders. It is extremely high quality stuff and I love it greatly, it makes me feel very elegant and this is a perfect scent for, ehem, kinky night with someone special.

curtmaster

Carner Barcelona D600, is a great scent in my opinion even though it is kinda like Dior Homme Intense a bit. These two are very similiar but do differ if you really wear them both out being that one is more peppery than the other. D600 is that that is much more peppery while Dior Homme Intense is more of the Iris and chocolate type fragrance especially at its drydown stage.

fenxx

This has been compared to Dior Homme, it does have a little hint of it but its alot more powdery. It's pleasant, I don't get much iris though

Hilaire

I barely smell any Iris in this at all really. All I smell is Pepper, pepper, pepper and something a bit like Papyrus, some Vanilla, some wood and some vetiver. I also get Tonka out of this, which I suppose if I could smell some Iris might make this reminiscent of Dior Homme, but since the Iris is so faint I really don't get that as a strong comparison.

Overall it's fine, it's a sort of leather fragrance, it's just excessively peppery and papery.

Oslo-fjord

This is the niche version of Dior Homme. Very high quality. A pleasant and delicious scent.

Taleb

If you like the dry down of Dior Homme intense, cocoa powder in general, then this for you. A flowery note, that is toned down, but noticeable, tops this fragrance. Nothing original, and not worth the HIGH price tag IMO.

alfarom

Dior Homme anyone? To be honest this is part Dior Homme/Homme Intense part L'Homme De Coeur. Smells fine but it's a rip-off. Spicy iris on a woody base. Strongly derivative.

“A perfume that captures the urban lifestyle and the Mediterranean spirit of Barcelona; A vibrant spicy perfume with a touch of mystery.”

I agree with samihardanian, this is such a masterpiece of fragrance art. It's being tenacious on my skin makes it a 'must have'!

I'm a gal and love this one!

samihardanian

This fragrance is the most perfect definition of an woody/spicy! It is incredibly well blended and absolutely wondeful if used in small amounts. I have extremely dry skin and am lucky to get any type of longevity or sillage on anything but this beauty here gave me 12+ hours with only 2 spritzs and had everyone 3 feet from me telling me how great I smell!
I really like this stuff, its very refreshing and spicy at the same time.......most likely for night time use.
The scent is so charismatic, all serious and disciplined. So penetrating and attractive. The scent of who is a talented and mastered speaker or interviewer.
longevity 10/10
sillage 20/10
