Baiser Vole by Cartier is a Floral fragrance for women. Baiser Vole was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Mathilde Laurent. Top notes are Lily and Citruses; middle note is Lily; base notes are Green Lily and Green Notes.

This year’s edition Cartier Baiser Vole, builds upon the oriental, mighty and passionate kiss of the dragon (Le Baiser u Dragon), announcing a more sophisticated approach and composition. The emphasis is on the game of excitement and anticipation.

Mathilde Laurent, who composed the notes, is responsible for tempting stolen kisses of Baiser Vole release. The story of pure passion is told by the ultra feminine essences of rare and elegant lily flower. The scent is announced as intensively floral, fresh and powdery.

With the first drop of fragrance, we encounter the scented pistils of the lily, the heart beats with refined and elegant lily petals, while the base notes offer green leaves of lily. The fragrance is available in an elegant glass bottle with golden stopper.

The range offers perfume water as 30, 50 and 100 ml and roll on perfume accompanied by a collection of body care products: body lotion 200ml, shower gel 200ml and deodorant spray 100ml. Baiser Vole fragrance is presented in 2011.

i've been wanting to try this for so long. it opens with a creamy/powdery and slightly peppery lily along with green notes and a tiny hint of the citrus notes. it gets creamier and more powdery, which i personally love. it reminds me of some other perfume but i can't place it. it's an uncomplicated beauty that is perfect for spring.

morfnou

Classy, green and a bit lotion-y. Smells romantic and clean. Beautiful and darey I say, flirty lily all around. It's a safe choice.

LisaMari

When I first tried it I liked it, I thought it was a pretty, feminine and fresh scent but now after using it a few more times, I find it headachey and loud.. there is a bright, screechy green/citrus note and a dry powdery synthecticness that is just to harsh.
It reminds me of a cheap Chanel No.5, like a crude knockoff.
I agree with other reviews about the baby wipes and Neutrogena, it does have those notes in the opening but then it gets very dry and unbearably synthetic
UPDATE:
I had a headache when I tried this and that obvs affected my opinion but now I have tried it again a few weeks later, more sparingly and I like it now, just in small doses, it is a strong, mature, expensive smelling scent

Coralein

Sophistication. Rich girl. Old money.
Elegance. This is it.

What other perfumes would you describe this way?
I love it.

QueOndaGuera

Yep smells like lilies! But it’s quite nice like a big beautiful vase of cut lilies. Strong, potent without being “funeral parlor flowers”. I am not a floral person so I gave the tester to a coworker but this would be a nice springtime wedding fragrance.

rene.saller

So fresh, so green! Baiser volé (Stolen Kiss) is a wonderful choice for springtime. All I discern is lily and lily-of-the-valley, the latter of which isn't mentioned so is probably a combination of the unspecified green notes and the lilies. I am puzzled by the "animalic" note listed in the pyramid. I smell nothing at all animalic, unless there's a smidge of beeswax or something like that. To me Baiser volé is a clean-girl soapy floral, very much in the tradition of, say, Anaïs Anaïs, Noa, or Sparkling White Diamonds. I call it soapy not because of the aldehydes but because of the lilies, which I associate with soap because it is used in so many classic American soap formulas (Ivory, etc.)

For me what makes Baiser volé stand apart from other lily-centric fragrances is the intense greenness, which reminds me of new-growth lawn cuttings and flower shops. It's delicate but rather piercing in its sweetness--much like spring weather.

Finally get this bottle and I blind buy this after reading some comment in the forum.
I would said no one will hate this smell and is a very very safe blind buy perfume.

Biaser Vole is clean, elegant, airy, a touch mild white lily, and green perfume. The Lily is not prominent here, Lily is just a touch of a white flower scent. This lean more citrus, green scent and very natural. The green are leaning toward stem green, not the type of green +soil + bitter mud smell. The stem green just direct from the lily plant stem. Is comfortable is pleasant and gentle.

Projection are mild lean toward skin scent. Not everyone surrounding you can smell this. Is suitable for office and daily body scent. Will not bring burdensome to other and yourself.

This is EDP, surprisingly last 5 hours on skin. Not expecting they are powerful as this won’t be achieving that type of strong performance perfume.

Overall, I love it!

Mycoleman2800

I bought this a few years back, and I must say this is a love for me. You would think that all the lily in this would be off-putting, but I can promise you that it is not. This is so light and fresh. This smells rich and classy as hell. You can only wear this if you have your shit together. So therefore, I wear it sometimes 😆. I'm just kidding, but this has definite boss lady vibes. This lasts all day on me, there is no need for a refreshing spray of this perfume. I know Cartier makes very high end jewelry and other things, and the smell of this perfume definitely lives up to the name.

Negihak

Crisp and creamy at the same time. It smells so clean, specifically like taking a cold shower in spring water, then putting on some luxury lotion, an all white/cream outfit and walking in a field of lilies.
Lovely scent but not for me, i’m to messy to pull it off 😄

Pauline99

Unpopular opinion- but to me this is a bit boring..to each their own I guess.
I would say this is safe and inoffensive.
Gives me bridal perfume vibe. It smells good and clean, I just wouldn’t call this unique or anything special. I personally wear this around the house.

shery k

Different scent not bad
Maybe for women who loves different and niche perfumes
At the first spray you feel soapy but real soap scent
And then changes for hours and turns to really gorgeous white floral

saho93

It’s an interesting scent. The lily with its stem and layered with lime.

If you are looking for a more lush floral with pronounced lily note without any greenness or citrus, Estée Lauder’s Pleasures Intense is exceedingly lovely.

Cartier’s is obviously a different type of floral with lots of green and citrus. I think it’s pleasant.

Nauticus9

Currently loving this fragrance!

After smelling this, the opening took me by surprise! It smells like I just sniffed a bouquet of flowers. Normally I am not a fan of green scents, but this fragrance has a certain charm to it that I enjoy so much. It almost feels nostalgic in a way. It's quite lovely, sophisticated, clean, and overall just a smooth light fragrance.

KatherineTs

So here's a thing about this perfume. It was my ALL TIME LOVE, I got it 8 years ago and the scent was cosy, feminine, delicate, beautiful, gorgeous! Even the guy I liked a lot would go crazy for this perfume. I could no longer find it in fragrance stores, and finally managed to get a very small amount of it. At first I had this scent nostalgia, but... it has become weirdly synthetic for me. Nothing natural, no lilies, just synthetic cheap smell. I hate it now, even touching it makes me sick. It's so weird

rene.saller

If you don't like lily and green notes, you won't like this. That's fine--more for me then! Baiser volé (Stolen kiss in French--the acute accent is crucial) is to the white lily as Diorissimo is to lily-of-the-valley. No, neither is a soliflore, but one note rises above the rest, and in Baiser volé it is the white lily (a fragrant Easter or Stargazer variety, perhaps). Yes, there is an elegant woody base to keep things from getting too strident, but they're listed only as "green notes," which might mean stems and leaves, the smell of flower shops, or it might mean a more sylvan green, a forest-floor sort of mossy green. Here I think it is more of a flower-shop green, but I'd still say it's slightly woody. All that is just quibbling, though, because really this is ALL about the white lily, from stem to stamen.

It just hit me what this perfume reminds me of: Sparkling White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor (not the regular White Diamonds). This one is greener and less soapy, but they both fulfill my personal criteria for "clean girl" fragrances. I could see putting either on after a bath, before getting into bed, but it would be just as appropriate to wear either to a meeting or a lunch date. Chances are that anyone who smells you would assume you had just used a luxurious soap, shampoo, or lotion. I like to spray both on handkerchiefs because they linger so beautifully on fabric. Also, for many people in my demographic cohort, white lily is the smell of soap, specifically Ivory soap, with which many people have positive associations (I do).

batuhanavci

Love at first sniff. A green, powdery, floral dream of a fragrance. Very classy and sophisticated. If you like powdery florals, you’d most definitely enjoy this one

CoffeeLuva

Blind buy and wound up LOVING it. Now my second bottle smells different, like it's past its time. It was a sad day when I realized that I may have to part with it. It's a beautiful fragrance.

Mona708

A dream scent for lily lovers! It’s like standing in a dewy field of blooming lilies while eating a delicious orange or grapefruit on a sunny morning. It’s somewhat linear for a Cartier scent, but not boring due to a surprise dose of indoles in the dry down. Even though it’s intended for spring, it actually does pretty well in cooler weather in both longevity (12+ hours) and sillage.

lmnsvgz

Creamy realistic lilly but it turns too green for my taste.

Frenchfragrancelady

One if my favorite perfume so far. The bottle is exquisite just as the scent. Fresh, floral and yet SO elegant.

It's a very classy fragrance for an everyday wear and will make you stand out because it not too overwhelming but you can still smell it.

xababyxaforluv

Smells almost like a crushed fresh, zesty, eucalyptus-like, lemony leaf, with a bit of tangy seductive flower "power."

bunnymusk

I wore this from ages 27 to 31. On my skin it is linear, realistic lily - imagine walking home from the florist with a large vase of fresh stargazer lilies in full bloom. Sweet, humid, green, youthful yet elegant.

ingrid.superstar

I wish I could freeze time in the opening notes of this fragrance -- I love the greenness, the slight spiciness, the scent of a florist's shop! But, this dissipates all too quickly to become an extremely soapy, powdery, cloying floral scent, reminiscent of extra-strength fabric softener and baby powder. I normally enjoy powdery and overtly floral scents, so this is a rare exception for me; it's that fluorescent, floral screechiness that I can't take.

candycat301

This fragrance mixes beautifully with my body chemistry. It is truly a lily fragrance with some greeness. Sometimes a green note can smell sharp or just turn weird on me. Not this fragrance - it has a powdery aspect to it. This lasts on my skin for hours with moderate projection.

Céline B.

A very good example for linear and solifloral perfumes. A full lily perfume; No more, no less, just lily. It has a hazy vibe. It's like I'm touching the flower stamen. it makes you feel the dust in the flower stamen. I also smell a hint of black pepper coming from the flower itself. It is as if spring has come and a bouquet of lilies with their leaves has been placed in my lap. I can't deny that it smells a bit like wet wipes but this perfume is a beautiful white floral perfume with fresh powdery facet and suitable for any occasion. It can make a beautiful and delicate first impression. Ideal for wearing to meet your bf's family or something.

alice_w

Subtly sweet lily that is quite elegant.

jaimepenney

Added note - the bottle is beautiful but the atomiser is terrible.

Jaimedjohnston

Absolutely stunning! Up until this fragrance I haven't been a huge lover of green notes. This was a blind but for me because I read a review from someone saying that she wasn't a lover of green notes butvsaying this fragrance was beautiful. She is absolutely correct!
Very photorealistic white lilly scent with a powdery, almost musky dry down that turns creamy. This is the epitome (for me) of the word elegance. This is not a complex fragrance but with that said, it's simplicity is what makes this fragrance so beautiful. I agree with another reviewer who said they envision a beautiful blonde lady in a long silk dress. This is sexy and elegant. Definitely could be a signature for someone who wants to smell classy, elegant and sexy. It is obviously very appropriate for spring/summer thanks to the lillies but also for hot nights or special occasions with the powdery/muskiness this oozes.
Moderate sillage and projection. People will smell you! This was such a wonderful blind buy for me as I love powderyand musky fragrances....and if you are the same, then definitely full bottle worthy. So glad I found this.

Gatorsrules

A very green flower experience. It’s not for me. The Lily turns very “overpowering bouquet”. The freshness of the citruses doesn't really dissipate on my skin. Not my favourite when it comes to freshies.

Gadise

The citruses and green notes infuses freshness to the lily.
A green lily creamy composition in the most simple beautiful way.
A clean girl fragrance, even before clean girl fragrances became a thing.
Matches minimalism. Discrete elegance. Even the bottle does.

WhiteFlowerPrincess

Baiser Volé is a lovely perfume and it truly smells like a lily flower, just like as if it were in the water of a vase right in your living room.

You can smell the pistils, the pollen, the stems and the lily flowers themselves. There's also a touch of green, citrus and spice in this scent. It is soft and sweet smelling and very natural smelling too. It's definitely a lily soliflore, but it's still somehow complex and reveals different facets of the lily. It's also quite heady, indolic, white floral and angelic.

It would be appropriate wearing in this perfume in spring and summer and day and night and I think it is a very versatile fragrance. It smells very luxurious and yet simple too and I could imagine it being work by women of all ages.

The sillage was moderate on my skin and the longevity was fairly good, at 7 ½ hours on my skin. I love the beautiful bottle that looks like a gold 1920's/1930's cigarette lighter too and it feels very weighty and substantial in my hands. It's so satisfying to hold! My only gripe with this perfume is that the sprayer isn't the best and sometimes sprays the perfume in streams instead of a mist.

9/10 from me and I definitely think that this perfume is a modern fragrance classic for the house of Cartier!

Tamijami79

A baby powder bomb! At least that's how it smeals on me. I am not so fund of powdery sents. But it is a nice inocent soft perfume which will stay in my collection.

chriskooo

i got my hands on a sample and at first, it reminded me of baby powder/baby lotion scent. the dry down is better but...still wouldn't call myself a big fan. maybe a little fan :') i won't be purchasing a full size bottle and that's all i have to say about that.

Lotte_Liese

You are already aware that the principal accord is the lily note. But perhaps you were oblivious to Mme Laurent's prowess in giving such breath and life to a note so that a masterful perfume was formed.

The lily is fresh and light, and quite green too. By quite, I mean that it falls within that delicate midway between a slap on your face chypre green and white floral powdery green, you know, that rather curious and delicate balanced act.
In addition to floral greenness, there is an almost airy spice soap to the drydown... not quite spices but there is a hint, a promise that the fragrance will develop some complexity to itself. It never quite reaches that mark as what you will be presented with in a lighter-type bottle (a bit odd concerning the elegant juice) is a rather linear, but far-reaching, light, but faintly persistent, simple, but elegant fragrance.

I love lilies. Every other Sunday after service I buy a bouquet of flowers and it is usually the white lily. This fragrance is to me the experience of trimming and arranging the bunch for a fitting vase.

This is a fragrance that requires consistency and dedication. People might never compliment you on your fragrance while on the bus, but if you are consistent, your colleagues will come to associate this scent with you and might remark during a company lunch, "you always smell so good."

I do not see this fragrance ever being discontinued, but I find my heart lies with the parfum version. An improvement, if I might be so bold to claim, on an already masterful offering. The best time to test/ wear this is during warmer days.

bffeash_13

I have a sample of this and when i first sprayed it i recoiled in disgust. It smelled terrible to me! I put it down and forgot about it til i retested recently...now it actually just smells like a refined and rich "unscented" lotion. Definitely reminds me of those little complimentary toiletries you get at all inclusive hotels (lotion, shampoo/conditioner). Makes me reminisce of when I last went on vacation. I definitely get the green notes and it smells a bit powdery. This is definitely for a mature woman because it smells GROWN.

fragheadny

Clean, soft, creamy lily fragrance. I don't get the crisp/sharpness some are mentioning. To me, this just smells like a woman who uses lightly floral scented body cream and hair products. It's pleasant, but nothing groundbreaking or necessary.

SweetJhane

I received a sample of Baiser Vole or I would never in a million years even looked at it after looking at the notes. I have not met any lily perfumes before that I could tolerate, so I was quite hesitant to try this. What a surprise it is! The softest, least intrusive lily I’ve ever encountered, with beautiful depth and significant but gentle sillage. I just love a big citrus opening, which this has, and I really enjoy a citrus that lingers through the journey as it does here. It supports the lily notes beautifully. BV is not sweet, overwhelming, or lacking in complexity to me, and I’m amazed to say that I really love it. Longevity is 8+ hours, and the longer it’s on, the better it smells. This scent is completely different from anything else I own. It’s just beautiful. The blending and structure are superb!

dismalharmony

Eau de Neutrogena Makeup Wipe. (No, really — that’s exactly what it smells like to me.) Squeaky clean and very understated. Pleasant, pretty, and not at all adventurous, though I doubt anyone would assume so looking at the notes. It’s as safe and sanitized as they come. Wholesome. This is what you wear to your little cousin’s first communion or ballet recital — a strong impression of innocence and purity. Strictly for mild spring days. It’s an April morning in a bottle.

gabigen4ik

This is a beautiful lily scent, it almost smells like a flower shop with freshly cut lilies -- you can feel the 'greenness' of the stem and the earthiness of the pollen, it is magical. It is a pure, elegant and demure scent. Lovely!

Betsywoolbright

People describe this as realistic and even sappy. But it just smells like powder and a vague floralized musk. I can only smell the lily if I concentrate. Maybe I just don't "get" this perfume. I don't dislike it, but my search for a true Easter lily perfume (that doesn't cost hundreds of dollars) continues.

mlleghoul

Cartier’s Baiser Volé is a fragrance that I don’t have much to say about, but I do quite like it. This is a linen-y lily with some crisp, leafy green elements and a citrusy clean softness that reminds me of perfumery’s approximation of a bamboo note. It smells of simulated freshness and synthetic florals, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. More like a mid-90s hack the planet Angelina Jolie with a punk -techno- Vulcan haircut listening to Kruder & Dorfmeister kind of way. As if it began as something experimental and avant-garde, but it was then ruthlessly pared down to a no-frills, next-to-nothing version of itself--a singular lily--which, in turn, feels kind of edgy and pioneering for its complete lack of bells and whistles.

calypsoorangeblossom

A very clean and fresh scent. The lily note smells so realistic and elegant. This is a perfect scent that dries down into a sweet smell on my skin. A bit powdery as well but not too much that adds a nice touch of elegance. The scent lasts about 5 hours without reapplying but I don't mind because I love the feeling of reapplying my perfume.

oenomel

Very realistic lily: clean and floral, but not crisp nor dated nor cloying. Imagine a painting of lily with all the prettiness and without the earthiness or dirt.

Enrium

Lily is a less common alternative to the likes of tuberose or jasmine when it comes to white florals in perfumery. It is a note I'm partial to, having falling in love with scents like Frédéric Malle Lys Mediterranée or YSL Capeline. It is heady, waxy and even funereal at times, but it has a purity that the more carnal tuberose or indolic jasmine lack. Baiser Volé is a lily scent, but it is light and airy instead of being heady. BV isn't a funereal scent at all - it is an elegant, fresh take on lily that is easy-to-wear and somewhat fuss-free and relaxed.

BV opens with lily, bolstered by fresh, bright lemon and lime. The lily is light and transparent, watery in a good way with just the right amount of smooth sweetness. There is a greenness to the lily, adding a sap/stem-like quality. It is slightly soapy too. The lily becomes powdery as it dries down, becoming musky as it fades. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

A simple, clean yet very feminine scent, this feels like the olfactory equivalent to effortless French-style dressing. For spring/summer days. Another lovely creation from Mathilde Laurent. 4/5.

MsLittlejohn

The drydown is gorgeous - I love the trail this fragrance leaves as well. It is very green in the opening. And the mid. For a looong time. Because of that, it's a strong like, but it's just too green for too long. I wonder about the Extrait version...

LanaDelSlay

Clean crisp, kinda reminds me of CK One or maybe Light Blue, it's a must to smell clean

Adrian_foroozandeh

A great perfume. Unfortunately I exchanged it with my friend and received another perfume. I am sorry for that. I am preoccupied by this though that soon I will buy another bottle of this great perfume.

perfumelovere

Someone recommended this to me several years ago. I adore clean, fresh, floral scents but this leans WAY too powdery for my taste. I have other lily perfumes that don't turn to baby powder so I don't know exactly what note it is but something is off balance on my skin.

Cristina S.

This was a blind buy for me. I decided to get it after watching a video that described the typical wearer of this scent as a woman with a gorgeous white coat coming in late at a Christmas dinner party. This isn’t at all my vibe, to be honest, but I was intrigued. Perfume can be worn as a costume, after all; it doesn’t have to always be an expression of one’s true self.
When I first tried Baiser Volé I was pleasently surprised. It opened with a very fresh and green note that smelled like the dewy leaves of a lily. Immediatly after I was overwhelmed by this powdery, earthy note. Again, lily, but more of the flower, especially the pistil. First impression: what a heady perfume! After a while, what I could smell the most was a sweet note of something similar to vanilla, a powdery vanilla, not a gourmand one. After a few hours, what was left behind on my skin was a clean scent.
This is definetly one of my favourites. It’s such an interesting perfume because it is based on a single note, white lily, but it considers that plant in all its aspects, including the earth in which it’s buried. In the end it manages to be more than just a pretty white floral, it has much more depth and richness.

Compositeur

There were lilies growing outside my childhood bedroom at springtime. The smell of that has stayed with me. Aiming for my own 'Proust madeleine' moment, I bought a bottle of this and sprayed occasionally. It's a beautiful scent and the lily note is very faithful to my nose, but that stage lasts a moderate amount before turning into a musk perfume. I used to wait for the musk to surface, and then would spray something else on top to amp up the latter's performance. (In fact, I do the same now with Nuit de Cellophane when I need a jasmin moment-we also had that growing in the garden.) In the end, even though this is a good lily perfume and Mathilde Laurent is a great perfumer, I replaced it with Lys mediterranee.

meliecat

Very faint, inoffensive clean lily scent. Not worth the price tag though, unless you are totally crazy about lily as a flower. I see no similarity with Demeter's Tiger Lily - that's the proper 'punch-in-the-nose-up-the-nostrils-like-nothing-else' lily scent for me - Baiser Volé is greener and not as aromatic, more realistic though as a floral scent and a lot more long-lasting with fleeting citrus barely there. I quite like it as a scent, but wouldn't buy it or wear it. If someone gifted me it I'd keep it and spray every sometime to get a whiff, but doesn't do more for me.

Kcbear28

My go to happy go lucky spring scent. It’s floral, fresh, clean and comfortable. Makes me feel like I was surrounded by a bunch of lilies in a florists.

Gabrielle Langley

"Baiser Volé" is an exquisite study of white lilies. It reminds me of walking into a florist's cooler...wisps of cool air carrying the scent of fresh cut lilies, roses, green stems, and leaves, all waiting behind glass.

While it is a photorealistic scent capturing "every part of the lily...pistils, petals, and stem" (as described in Cartier's PR/ad copy), "Baiser Volé" also remains ethereal, a diaphanous white ballet of a fragrance. Its delicate and ghost-like presence is reminiscent of the "wilis" in Act II of the ballet, "Giselle."

This has been my favorite scent for several years now, and it never fails to gather compliments. It's projection and sillage are cashmere-soft. Thank you to perfumer, Mathilde Laurent, for this incredibly graceful and evocative fragrance.

melusina1982

It is a marvel that you can create something so complex and yet so simple, Mathilde Laurent is a true artist. Super wearable natural lily through and through.
It smells elegant, approachable, and incredibly beautiful.
Signature material for sure.

victoria.mei1992

Couldn't even smell anything, smells something like freshly washed clothes. Highly overpriced.

Charlotte_Grace_29

Lots and lots of green lily with very present citrus notes. Smells generically "perfumey," but you can tell it's a nice perfume. Simple and inoffensive, this would make a great office scent or for someone who lives in a hot and humid climate. Not really my style as I prefer more of a woody lily, but it's pretty.

realitygreene

I am so pleasantly surprised by this fragrance. I've never tried any other Cartier scents, but I have smelled La Panthere on a card and it was STRONG so I wasn't sure what to expect with this fragrance. This is great. I immediately could smell lilies and green notes. At first it was very powdery, but that dissipated within a minute or two. This fragrance smells so clean and fresh. It would be perfect for everyday in the office or for someone that doesn't want a fragrance that feels heavy. I don't think this is a fragrance I would personally want to wear everyday, but I like it enough to consider adding it to my wish list. I think this fragrance could definitely come in handy. Sometimes I really just want something light and clean and no fuss. The bottle isn't my style though, but it's not ugly.

aflakes

This is a pleasant, pretty scent. Nice for the office or a casual everyday scent. This is not a love for me but nice to wear when I just want to be simple and feminine.

Ludmi09

I tested this one because it was on sale. I loved it, floral, fresh and different. I though it was very light and didn’t last long but when I used the bottle I bought I felt it very strong, difficult to carry for me. I hope it changes otherwise I won’t be able to use it :(

Krem4e363

Чудесен 💯💘

HollyWM

Lily, lily, and more lily. Way back when, my wedding bouquet was made of lilies, so I'm very fond of the scent. That said, this feels like it belongs on a younger woman. I don't get any citrus, nor any powder. One spray is plenty, and lasts quite a while on my skin. Lovely, uncomplicated, but I don't believe I will buy another bottle when the first one is gone.

emilymonroe1

warm and comfortable, yet delicate and floral. Along with the lily notes, this has a powdered, sweet, and slightly woodsy vibes as well. My favorite flower is the lily, and this fragrance reminds me of freshly cut lilies from the garden with sweet earth and bright green stems. Some of the greenness in the top calms down as it dries out, and a woodsy, powdery, almost vanilla-like base emerges. BV is the ideal fragrance for me. It has a flowery scent without being overpoweringly floral, a green scent without being very green, and a vanillin and powdery scent without being overpowering. It's simply breathtaking.

A pleasant and non offensive choice for church, doctor's appointments, dental checkups, piano recitals, building dedications, visiting elderly relatives, haircuts, and shoe shopping.

Perfumelady88

All I get from this is a soft clean scent. No other notes. This perfume is pretty pleasant. Perfect for the office, business meetings, or a job interview. It doesn't project much and you will definitely need to reapply it. If you like Chloe by Chloe, I think you would like this one too. It's not a dupe by any means but if you're into those soft, clean, soapy type scents, you would love this one too.

saccitygrl01

Pretty bottle, love the opening with the fresh lily and green notes. Within 5 minutes the green notes disappear and you are left with a fairly simple lily fragrance. Pretty but a bit too feminine for me. I would feel like a poser wearing this as it brings to mind a dainty girl with white gloves and easter hat.
At dry down takes on more of a lily of the valley than lily quality and seems a bit mature. Longevity on me was 2 hours before it was a very very faint skin scent. Would have liked it more if the green notes were more long lasting on me.
Glad I tried it but not FB worthy.

Caleb001

I bought this for my birthday and it smells like the hard cinnamon candies from back in the day. Remember they had the yellow candies that were butterscotch and the red that were cinnamon? I don’t get a single floral! This is almost a spicy Oriental smell on me. I like it but it will be a fall scent for sure! I can’t see myself pulling this off in high heat. I wish the notes and scent accords matched what I smell bc green notes and white florals ain’t it!

Lyric82

This was recommended to me by fragrance lover friends who know I enjoy green fragrances. I was not misled, this is beautiful! Despite loving green frags, I don’t have that many of them. And sometimes they can come off a bit dated feeling, but this one doesn’t. I’d say that this one has a definite modern and refined vibe, and it’s light enough that I can wear it in an office environment, and even on hot and humid days. I will be wearing this often, that’s for sure. Very very pretty!

natluvly

I purchased this one on mercari months ago but never really got to wear it since I purchased it around the colder months.

Well the last 3 or 4 days I've worn this and I really love it. For me this is an anytime scent that doesn't require much thought. I have been working from home however so I'll want to test it in public but so far so good just a really intoxicating but simple and elegant scent. Also smells expensive without being pretentious.

Edit:
I've been in love with this all week. I look at all my perfumes and just keep craving this. I'm scared to wear it out the house thinking it will ruin my experience so far but I hope to do it soon. It makes me feel like I'm on vacation for some reason. I think someone said it smells like a spa hotels lobby and that's what I get. Like the neutral but luxurious scent of hotel soaps and body creams. Every time I get a whiff, im in heaven. This one has also been lasting so im not getting the poor longevity that same are experiencing. Love it!

hollandbri

I don’t know what kind of Lily they are suggesting but it’s not the stargazers I know and love. Very forgettable, run of the mill floral-musky perfume.

Beauxpeep

Unfortunately I had the same experience as Venussanfurs - no lily or floral at all. Just synthetic pepper and a vague old perfum-ish scent - like old, not well stored drugstore perfumes. Very sad as I love Cartier and have been searching for a lily fragrance.

NOTE: This is the new formulation but the Parfum strength version (not Eau de Parfum) available on Cartier and for sale at Saks Fifth Avenue 5/1/22.

monamostafa212013

A gorgeous lily fragrance! it's like they got the flower with its dewy petals and leaves and squeezed it ain a luxurious bottle creating this lovely, delicate and super feminine fragrance. However, it has no lasting power and that's the only downside.. would've been a masterpiece!

MiniMena

Baiser Vole is a favorite of mine. It's just so lovely and feminine. How can three notes create such a beautiful fragrance? Lily is the standout note through and through but I like the way the green notes create a balance. I don't notice the citrus very much. I feel this fragrance is a bit mysterious and yet innocent. Just a beautiful feminine, pretty, spring or winter fragrance. It reminds me a bit of Jessica Sarah Parkers Covet. Same vibe.
Longevity is moderate, as is projection. If you are looking for an easy wear, non offensive, lovely fragrance I suggest you give this a try. It was a blind buy for me and I'll never regret it. Enjoy!

violeteme

One of those perfumes that has a lot of duality. It can be perceived both as heartbreaking and optimistic, as death and life, as past and youth. It is the smell that haunts you, but at the same time it is tender, frail and genuine. It smells regal but unassuming. Lilies have this mysticism about them. In Baiser Vole these flowers are done so gracefully and are so pure. Up close I love it, but I can't stand the sillage, it is quite forceful. +

karinatfragrantica

What a wonderful scent! A very realistic green and fresh lily. Divine! It comes across very feminine and elegant. Projection is not strong what makes it perfect for closed space occasions like meetings, receptions, etc. when I want to feel sophisticated but dont want to risk offending anyone.

Reading the comments I find it interesting how different the associations with lily are. For me lily is associated with spring, feminitiy and elegance.

MilaiaFoxe

Such an elegant fragrance, and very realistic to fragrant Lilly’s. However there’s hardly any projection but it creates a moderate scent bubble. I mainly spray this on my clothes if I want it to last the day.

churinl

I've already reviewed this about two years ago and have to say that I go back and forth on it each time I wear it. I tried it the other day in a temperature controlled environment, and as it developed, there was a very noticeable and distinct smell of rotting meat! I wasn't afraid it had turned, as I know that white florals occasionally come off like that, though it was the first time I noticed it here. As I've previously noted in my earlier review, my first impression is of plain, soapy, laundry powder, which I don't particularly like. But tonight I've sprayed it very heavily and it's a lovely, slightly spicy, clean but not overly soapy lily and I'm really enjoying it.
So I am not ready to give us on this yet. Maybe it requires a heavier hand for it to play nice with my skin. It gets so much love here, and while it may end up not working for me, I would love to experience what so many of you are experiencing!

venussansfurs

Not lily. Not even floral...just a sheer, synthetic, vaguely peppery smell. Gains some strength and sweetness as it dries down and a more staid, subdued Si Lolita comes to mind but there is something solemn and sterile about it. I'd wanted a nice Easter scent and this isn't it.

coffeefifofum

This is a lovely green and lily scent. Light without being weak. Unfortunately it's true enough to the scent of lilies that it reminds me of funerals and I won't be wearing it. Not as heavy and sweet as you typically get from Easter Lilies, this is a very wearable fresh spring scent and the green cancels out some of the heaviness that can weigh down white florals. Arms length radiation from a single tester spritz.

Kkardaper

So I have had a sample of this for a while, I don't know where I got it. These light floral perfumes usually ward me off because I usually go for more masculine notes. This one reminds me of the type of perfumes my grandma always wants me to wear. It is super feminine but in a girly way, it is fitting for a teen wearing a pink blouse on a spring day. I want to label it as cute almost because it just seems innocent to me. Upon first spray it is slightly overwhelming for me personally but it drys to more of a fresh baby powder.

I love it and hate it, maybe if I where a different person I would wear it, but on me it seems fake. It sorta reminds me of the person people want me to be instead of who I am. Thats why I hate it because it seems like something you would smell on someone who it doesn't fit. It's just present.

Update: I got two 30 day samples from scent box and this became my late spring-summer signature. I know I said I didn't like it...that changed. It is so versatile and clean on me, I just do a couple sprays then I am out of the house. It smells natural and poised. Very elegant, perfect while I mask as an innocent angel 😈. It is so very classy.

correspondencepersonal

I spritzed this today at Macy's. This perfume's bottle is such an elegant aspect of this perfume. I'm new to the note of lily in perfumes. This instantly reminds me of Easter services, the smell of lillies in the air, choirs singing cheerful choruses.

This is a mature white floral perfume which a number of youtube fragrance divas have gone on and on about. The first time I heard this mentioned was in a Demi Rawling perfume video. She loves this perfume and highly recommended it.

This could be signature worthy on the right woman. This is ultra feminine, and appears to be sophisticated and quite mature. I think this could be a perfume to grow into. I'm not there yet with this one. After researching Covid and all that I found, I'm needing something a bit more upbeat and light hearted. This is a bit too serious for me. I need something more playful and fun.

brandi.head

Wonderfully fresh and natural floral. It is very green up front and dries down to a sweet, powdery white floral. I usually do not care for powdery scents, but in this case, the fragrance would not smell as natural without the powdery quality of the lily. Agree with Trimoon's statement that it smells like walking into a floral shop. It is perfect!

This is definitely office friendly and great for casual daily wear. It is light in character, but it can have overwhelming, strong sillage if oversprayed. Skin scent is still present at the end of the day.

This fragrance is non-offensive but in no way bland or lacking in character. Who doesn't love the smell of freshly cut flowers? It is a happy fragrance and suitable for all ages.

Ticketgirl

For me, the green notes come through right away…and linger a bit. I do like lilies, but I never buy them in cut bouquets because they are so strong. A single bloom will fill the room. This fragrance seems to acknowledge that fact. The lily isn’t over the top, but it certainly lets itself be known. Just enough for me. I’m especially enjoying the greens today. It’s interesting how fragrances behave differently on different days.

Trimoon

This is one of my top day to day scents. She is pretty, feminine and lovely. It reminds me of walking into a florist shop in a very good and realistic way. I do not get any synthetic smells. She’s great for office wear, just don’t go heavy and I’m not usually a white flower person.

Raluko111

I love white florals, but lilies are not my cup of tea. In my country, they're nicknamed "Corpse's Flowers" because of the urban myth (?!) that if people sleep in a room with lilies in a vase and closed windows, they will suffocate. My grandmother loved flowers and would keep fresh cut vases of seasonal flowers in every room, but she forbade lilies in the house. I only remember seeing them at funerals in wreaths. The lilies in Baiser Vole are strong and artificial and seem to not prove my poor grandma wrong.

rosesfromars

This is one of the most beautiful perfumes I ever smelled. A powdery lilly. But just 1-2 sprays is enough because otherwise it's nauseous. Longetivity and sillage are pretty good.

frishie

It gave me a strong lemongrass smell once it touch my skin.
edit: now I got a turmeric scent.

veda

IDK what this perfume is.
I bought it blind and I can smell how soft and delicate it is
But on my skin it is like a wood on fire, really.
Try before buy.
I gifted it.

Air of Grace

I blind bought this fragrance based on reviews and that I’m in love with green, white florals . Received my bottle today .

To tell you the truth, I was so disappointed . Not sure if I got an off bottle .

Its a sharp Synthetic , Herbie , citrus and very spicy scent with hardly any floral for me .

From the limited notes and positive reviews , I was hoping for a green white floral but this is way too spicy for my tastes .

It’s like pepper was included and not disclosed in the pyramid above .

It’s very waxy and it starts out smelling like the citrus insect repellent . Actually offensive . Then turns spicy on my skin . Very linear so no change.

Couldn’t wipe it off quicker .

But staying power is huge cause I could still smell it after washing it off .

violetstorm

i just love this scent............theres something so special about this scent.......its unique & alluring - a true gem :)

at first spray tho (for me ) its a bit too green & sorry stinky lol BUT within 3 minutes or less it turns into a beautiful ethereal like lily of the valley scent....soft & creamy - if thats even a thing for green scents lol but with this scent it is :)

its one of my favorite green lily scents :) its not too strong or too weak its just right & on me seems to last a long time :) michael couture said it nicely (see below) - its deeply touching - nicely said......when u wear it it takes u away :)

Michael Couture

Well...I think it's one of the scents that can make you "emotional"? You think about things that are gone but also about things that are yet to come. Lily is the queen that rule all of these emotions in "Baiser Vole".
Fresh, green and deeply touching. You just have to feel it.
Amazing white floral.

Saweety Sweet

I have had 3 bottles of this the last five years. It's strong yet subtle. It's 100% green Lily and green grass. Wet dewy grass on an early sring morning with fresh breezy air. It's a lady fragrance for over 30s and there isn't anything youthful about it, but it is tres naturale and classy.

Princesse canswella

For flower lovers and fresh summer fragrances this would be perfect it's a soft long lasting but not strong thick perfum I'm actually at my third bottle, not confusing or mysterious, it's absolute lily ❤️you smell it directly

dezaval

Wow, how amazing this is! A clean, clear, floral, green, chic, opulent, elegant spring fragrance. Green and floral... Smells expensive, too! Non-offensive, when you smell it, it makes you feel calm and relaxed, because through it you travel to the green landscapes and the blue sky of spring... I can imagine a sophisticate, rich and classy woman wearing this. Very, very beautiful!

corgi02

I have to agree with the review directly below this. Puzzling scent. This was not offensive but just didn't smell wonderful to me. Which it should immediately if you're going to buy it. I could not identify the top notes but not bad. They quickly left within a few minutes to the base which smelled patchouli and incense to me. It reminded of Coco Mademoiselle which I don't care for. Doesn't smell the same, but has that vibe. I was surprised I expected something more green but it didn't happen for me. It's not offensive but I would not want to smell it again. I'm happy if I never smell it again so it's a no. There are so many more pleasant scents out there. Some reviewers have said it was elegant. Yes I could agree with that. But there are elegant scents out there which also smell wonderful so ...why?

fyetan

A sweet white floral that starts off like an expensive spa soap, and ends up being a sweetly scented cloud.

Pretty timeless and I can actually see a whole range of ages wearing this.

sjjahn

So simple, so fresh, so beautiful. A true green lily without sugars or musk to drag it down or overdress it. It simply is, and it is lovely that way.

StinkyTinky

Oh my…this is pretty. Truly lily and green. For those who might not be able to pick lily out of a line up, it’s a sweet white floral that’s pretty traditional smelling. Like a spring bouquet. Here, it’s slightly soapy, but the sillage has the most delicate powdery nuance that is really making this pleasant. I don’t smell this up close on my skin. Just in the trail when I’m waving my arms.
Doesn’t smell dated, but does smell timeless.
If you enjoy white florals I can’t imagine you not enjoying this fragrance.
Longevity is moderate. This fragrance oozes springtime..

AnnaEMHG

Very lovely and linear but too fleeting for this to be FBW for me. I should think this would make a lovely gift. I was surprised it was so pink in real life and not like the image above.

Dr_Cece

Simple. Light. Realistic.

lysithea

The most delicate lineer lily perfume. It starts with green notes then creamy soapy lily comes to the stage. It is also metallic and spicy somehow. So sophisticated but simple at the same time.

theuntrainednose

I have a sample.

--

A sweet, elegant floral, sunny and bright. Very happy and pollen-y, for lack of better word. Has some powdery facets and some fresh facets, and it's a different kind of white floral: neither jasmine nor magnolia are used here. Smells very natural and serene and bright.

Happy and elegant. I would like it!

BERENGARIA

Elegant, Pretty, and very refined.
I agree with the others, it does remind you of Easter : ) A Happy and beautiful time of year : )
The lily is Fresh, sweet. and slightly green.
Delicious.

natluvly

Can anyone tell me is the Lily note in here "calla" Lily or that soapy powedery type of Lily. Why is calla Lily not included in many fragrances?

FaithHopeLove

Not sure how to add to “This perfume reminds me of...” section, but I find this somewhat reminiscent of Hermès Un Jardin Sur Le Nil.

JasminePetal

Surprisingly beautiful in its simplicity. The lily is so natural and pure, I think they really did their best in extracting natural scents instead of synthetic. And there is nothing that can beat nature in this way. It is very fresh sweet and bit powdery at first and then the citrus comes peeking through a little to give it some umph. I usually don't like scents that are considered 'green' but this one I can definitely dig. Don't think I would buy it though (I received a sample).

bethjwb

Stop 1 on my search for a floral that feels realistic and not ‘perfumey’. I don’t know what it is about my skin, but sometimes I seem to create this aniseed note in scents that don’t theoretically have one. I imagine it’s something about the peppery lily that to me comes over vaguely like liquorice. Whatever the reason, on me this doesn’t quite do either job I want it to, the lily getting a bit lost in mysterious liquorice and the green notes not as fresh as I’d like. Oddly it starts to remind me of Clarins Eau Ressourcante, another mysterious aniseed on me. Not bad but definitely not quite what I’m looking for.

blossomka

5.5/10. Spinach leaves, basil. Sweeter and more rosemary, thyme and other green herbs later. Then came cologne musk with bitter banana peel. Too pungent and distracting for me. I have to work hard but it is interesting.

I do not smell any lily. I have decants from two different shops both are consistent so likely it is me. Similar to Eau De Magnolia by Frederic Malle which came 3 years later.

DMS162002

I'm obsessed with warm-fresh scents. For me, they are the true definition of a skin scent--clean and bright but with just enough depth to magnify natural pheromones and hint at the more interesting and sensual things beneath. And apparently, the nose for this perfume, Mathilde Laurent said: "For this perfume I wanted to recreate the scent of bundles of flowers on the neck".

It makes complete sense, because this scent is a chameleon, not in terms of its progression but its malleability. It's ageless; completely appropriate for both a young woman or a sophisticate. You could take Baiser Vole at face value and focus on the frilly flowers or you could delve deeper and think about petals crushed against skin. I leaned more heavily on the latter and layered this with Sensation Musk by Abdul Samad al Qurashi.

Baiser Vole really does linger like a stolen kiss. There isn't much information about the notes available other than lily, orchid and citrus with "green notes" as the base. I guess it's okay to have a little mystery with a fragrance as alluring as this one. A perfect spring scent.

LaContessina

Baiser Volé back in 2011 was a revelation, composed around lily, but very crisp, green, so different from the other fruitchoulis thatvwere flooding the shelves.
It starts with greens notes: galbanum, for an instant you think you are smelliing Chanel N.19 ... it's *that* green!
But then you get some powdery notes (think Love by Chloé).
A massive Lily, with its multi faceted evolution, green and then pollen like and then spicy - then the flowery part: a rose.
The best part is the drydown: it's all about spices. I can smell cardamom and a lovely, enticing cinnamon.
They're not listed officially but they're absolutely in.
Some deep vanilla and ambery notes, but spices again.
Baiser Volé is sexy in a sort of polite way, not too in your face; it has manners and is polished.
It is definitely feminine and refined, in my opinion.
Lovely sillage and a decent staying power (i get 4 hours wear).
Extemely sleek, elegant bottle, that recalls the classic Cartier bottle, that flips open like a golden lighter or compact.
Unfortunately after some years I grew tired of it as it started giving me migraines. I managed to finish my 100ml bottle anyway in 2019.
Will not rebuy, however let me tell you this is a very well blended fragrance and very different from the current offerings, so well worth a try.

Amy Ann

A fragrance dear to me, reminds me of the festive Easter dinners held in the garden behind the house .It smells of lilies and tulips and leaves of magnolia tree with something slightly incense but not in the sense of incense itself rather the smell of lit paraffin candle. It's a perfume I obviously wear at Easter Banquets but also at other festive events, although I can't say that I didn't wear it to day to day business suit, but it seems more suitable for formal moments.

Mc1995

Really pretty! Very simple and very very light. Don’t expect a powerhouse or even a regular type of sillage from this one. However if you want a light sift and pretty scent just to feel nice, or for bedtime, this is a good one for that. I’d almost say Guerlain L’Instant, original one, is a stronger smelling version of this one. This does have a hairspray vibe at first but if you smell closely that almost vanilla like but still green vegetal Lilly scent is here. Lillies are my favorite flower because of the smell so if you like that scent, try this out, get a sample maybe. As you always should first.

CurrencyThat

2 words: Fresh and Clean. Make that 3, Sophisticated. This isn't a warm cheeky floral, far from it. It's somewhat cold, not approachable (but you want to approach), and perhaps even suited for winter dare I say. It's certainly daytime worthy, board meeting appropriate, and a well executed base of Lily and green notes-I-can't-decipher that blend together into a soapy, creamy light floral.

taiga_flora

Very pretty white floral scent. To me it is many things depending on the moment, which can kind of befuddle me. Immediate white flowers, then remnants of other things. Reminds me of being a young girl and rubbing my arm on all the perfume samples in magazines until they combined into one nondescript perfume. Sometimes banana green lily, sometimes soapy and clean like a dryer sheet, sometimes sweet clementine, aquatic? Maybe that's because it's the whole flower shop.

It's such a bridal scent for me, sparkly fruit wine, expensive bouquet of flowers. I'm not sure if it's the scent for me quite yet, I need someone else to smell it on my skin.

GinCatsBooks

Dewy, Baiser Vole is dewy, its creamy, green and really fresh, it is such a pure, innocent scent to my nose and its such a realistic soliflore.
The bottle, with it being from such a luxurious heritage house, is in itself a work of art; apparently its inspiration was a powder compact and I can see that, exceptionally well crafted and feels solid, it closes with a satisfying click. The scent itself is gorgeous, a very pure, fresh photorealistic lily and whilst it is a soliflore, its not boring and as one reviewer said, its 4D in experience; you get every stage of a lily's life cycle on your skin from the crisp green notes of a lily thats just about to open, the cool pepperiness of a freshly bloomed lily and then the creamier, green, slightly banana-y scent of a lily thats getting ready to start its cycle all over again. Aside from a florests shop, it kind of reminds me a little bit of Kerastase shampoo (Bain Discipline, orange bottle) and a bit of clean, freshly lotioned skin.

Longevity is decent with about 8 hours of wear but it sits quite close to skin, I dont find it to be cloying or stuffy smelling whatsoever and it could easily be worn year round but I personally think its better suited to spring and the summer months, office safe, easy to wear and really inoffensive. It's a scent that anyone of any age could wear, it just smells fresh, its a solid love and a future repurchase <3

MarieAntonia

This is - was? - my favorite perfume. It was a blind buy, but it smells like burying your face in a bouquet of lilies on Easter morning.

My only complaint is that I felt it went "off" very quickly. After less than a year, it smelled a bit sour and lost its floral notes. Perhaps a bad batch? It was stored with all my other perfumes, which have held up perfectly well. However, I find myself wanting to buy another bottle simply for the joy of smelling it again.

Crys777

This smells like a fresh lily, stem and all. It starts out bright and fresh and green. It mellows out on the dry down and has a powdery sweetness to it, almost reminiscent of an old fashioned lipstick. It’s not cloying or obnoxious. If you like lily, it’s probably a safe blind buy. I’d categorize this perfume as classy. The bottle is so beautiful.

mkgss

[Gifted and used full bottle. Usage in all year around high humidity tropical climate.] This has a special place in my heart and I might be bias, as this was my wedding scent. When I sniff this what comes up to mind is, femininity, elegance, sophisticated, nurturing, tender, comforting, soft Powderly. This is what I would want my mother to smell like growing up. Similar vibe to Chloe Eau De Parfum category.

Tredmond20

This is my signature business scent that’s a day to day “ take me serious because I mean business” perfume. It screams sophistication and class. The minute I smelled it in Nordstrom I knew it would be at my top selection of perfumes. Every time I wear it I feel clean (of course soap has that effect) but this takes it to the next level. The top notes I smell first are Lillies of the valley & floral. I typically can wear this in any season but usually a daytime setting.

dolaye

I didn’t expect to love this but boy do i.
I got a sample of this and when i read the notes i was like meh. ok. I’m not a white floral girl, usually really dislike white floral scents.
It opened the way i thought it would, pure lily. I was like yeah ok. I went on with my day and then like not even a half hour later i smelled my wrists again and omg! it was sooo powdery and sweet, kinda woodsy as well? There was still lily but way less than at first. I love it. It has a vanilla feel to it, a really beautiful scent if you ask me.
I’m sorry if this review completely sucks, i have never really written one but this perfume made
me feel like i had to :)

NoseE

Baiser Vole - stolen kiss
flowery, green powder as it says. Just Ok not a wow.

Mel14

This one feels like walking in a field of lilies in a cool, crisp spring morning barefoot in a white cotton summer dress without a care in the world. And yet, this can also be fit for a boss lady dressed in a power suit, who nobody messes with. Go figure!

It smells very formal and composed and yet also very casual and carefree. Not a hint of flirtiness in this scent. Perfect for a woman who does not want to send the wrong message on her first (blind) date. If I were to categorize this scent into a particular age group, I would say it is meant for a mature audience, yet a 20 something could pull it off.

The scent does not change after spraying, what you smell is what you get... the whole day, for it has good longevity. Sillage is ok... but it is more like a skin scent you can smell in your clothes thought out the day - and smell you will - it does not fade away easily.

I would not say it's a safe blind buy except if you're giving it to your mom or mother-in-law or any woman in their 40s and beyond.

The smell is very pleasant, not overpowering and has excellent longevity (did I mention it lasts the whole freaking day!) which makes it worth your buck.

Kiti89

I really like this and I never considered myself a lover of green fragrances but this is soft, fresh, creamy and green all at once.

It opens up citrusy and fresh then almost immediately turns green and creamy.

The only thing stopping me from buying a full bottle is it becomes a skin scent after about 5 minutes. I would probably need to overspray for it to be noticeable but at the price, that doesn't seem like the best value for my money.

I have to bury my nose into my arm just to smell it. I swear I catch wafts of it rising to my nose occasionally but I don't know if I'm kidding myself.

Edit: if you don't mind missing out on the green notes and creamy dry down, I would recommend scents like Gucci Bamboo, Burberry Body and Chloe EDP. Not dupes at all, but similar vibes in being non sweet, floral fragrances. Body and Chloe are rose scents so slightly more fragrant but not sweeter than Bamboo or Baiser Vole. Bamboo also has lily but is more clean in my opinion than Baiser Vole. Those are just the scents that come to mind for me and all three are cheaper (Burberry very cheap) so you'll be spending less for a similar experience.

justchillinxo

Honestly I realize this is considered a "green" floral, but even though it's a floral i find it rather formal so i actually like wearing it in the winter a lot. the cold air cuts through some of the heaviness and its just beautiful to me. i dont think i would like this for the summer.

danygurl06

Hmm, I’m not a fan of this, but it doesn’t stink. It smells mature in such a way that I wouldn’t want to wear it. It’s pretty strong and gives me a headache. This smells strangely similar to Elizabeth Taylor Sparkling White Diamonds without the sharpness and loudness.

The only lilies I have experienced in person are stargazer lilies, peace lilies and spider lilies. This smells like none of those. It’s a strong floral with greeness and vanilla powder. Somehow, it smells sour up-close on my skin. I’m mainly disappointed because this doesn’t smell like face cream or lotion as others claimed.

A positive is that I can say the sillage is quite strong.

WijayantiKusuma

I have been wanting this perfume for quite sometime. And finally mine is arrived today. I was so freaking excited as i love white floral fragrances. Initial spray so relaxing, beautiful green kinda reminds me with Estee Lauder Private Collection which in my opinion the most beautiful green scent. After awhile the sweet yet still greenish Lilies appears. Such a classy gorgeous fragrance. Plus i adore how sleek and elegant the bottle is. It definitely become a staple in my collection after Alien ❤️

éciboszi

The most beautiful scent of summer for me. Dewy green leaf lily. Wonderful walk in a lily garden. I really like.

Atlante_Pleiade

It is a nice, inoffensive, light fragrance. Nothing special but I would buy a bottle for everyday use, for work. Something you could wear just to smell fine but not amazing.

car0

Got to test this recently and it is an absolutely beautiful scent, very delicate and inoffensive but in the best way. The lily scent is very smooth and green, it smells like a freshly cut bouquet of lilies. Expected it to be more crisp but on the skin it turns into this effortlessly classy, pretty scent. Do not get the comparisons to Chloe as this is not that powdery not does it have that prominent rose note but it does enter into that clean scent category, regardless of this i'd say that even if it is clean and smooth it still does have some body. Overall a pleasant surprise.

pennyligeia

This was a hidden gem for my hot, humid, Louisiana summers. Smells clean, crisp and cool without the sharpness of some "green" scents. Safe for work, even if you have to reapply, you won't choke anyone immediately after spraying.
I like to put it on after my bath. It makes me relax and sleep better in the summer months.
Not something I'd wear during the winter.

Masterpiece Fragrance in my opinion. 10/10 bottle- exquisite looks expensive!
This smells like pure lily with the stem, rain, dewiness and humidity its spectacular that they achieved this in the perfume. The only issue is the longevity is 2-3 hours.

bintTapputi

A light, powdery skin scent. Immediately absorbed and forgotten about by my sponge of a skin. It's minimalist and upper-class in it's presentation. Completely forgettable to me. 4/10

Anamandy

I received this perfume a few weeks ago and was not impressed. For some strange reason I kept smelling rose instead of the lily. Must have been something wrong with my nose that day, because today I decided to wear it again, and I have to say I now really like this a lot. It is a lily bomb on me. The citrus and green notes support and enhance the lily beautifully. The heat of the day is pulling out all the sweet notes of the lily, making it very natural, as if I am smelling a bouquet of Casa Blanca's. Great silage and longevity, as I only used a few sprays this morning, but I can still smell it clearly around me now. I'm not a big fan of Cartier perfumes in general, but this one is a big win for me. I'll probably go for a fb when this travel sprayer is finished.

Looking For Gabby

This is a beautiful sophisticated creamy humid green scent. This smells like a late morning walk through a botanical garden when the sun is starting to evaporate the morning dew, the sun is warm enough that you can smell the scent of grass and flowers lingering in the humid air. Yeah, that’s what Baiser Vole smells like to me. All I get is green lily and green notes, I do detect a slight sweetness after a couple of hours of wear. I love this so much. This will always be a staple in my collection.

katrinawhitney

Just got this in the mail, and on my skin it smells almost identical to L’instant EDT, except maybe less florals and add a sunscreen note- it’s also less intense. It’s really beautiful, and my husband said he wishes our house smelled like it.

Mirella86

This is beautiful and elegant, fresh, yet floral. Appropriate for spring and maybe even hot summers. However, the longevity is barely there half an hour later, also it has no projection at all. I am amazed seeing all these comments about the longevity the next day etc. I wonder if it's been reformulated and now lasts less, since I seriously oversprayed and couldn't feel a thing an hour later.

lmwimsatt

This smells like lillies and banana peels!

stacia79

So fem fem delicate powdery. It's beautiful but I sure as hell am not the right personality fit for this. I am too raw to wear these little white gloves.

Unfurling Blossoms

Unfortunately, this one's not my style. It reminds me of a mix between Donna Rosa Verde by Valentino and Daisy by Marc Jacobs, especially with the peppery note. It is a very well blended designer scent.

I am happy, however, that I got to sample such a popular and classic fragrance.

corkscrewcurly

Hmmm.

I wonder if there's been a reformulation? I've had my bottle for a few years and, whilst sillage is moderate, the longevity is excellent. I could smell it over eight hours after applying it, yesterday.

lmwimsatt

Smells like chanel no 5 for 2 sec then turns into a beautiful sunscreen scent. I love this!

ClaudiaB86

I don't really like it personally. It reminds me of Flower by Kenzo. A bit too flowery for me :)

Atomikbomb_

This may not be a popular opinion, but I'm not impressed. The longevity and sillage are definitely not up to par.

The fragrance itself is really lovely, but rather linear. It's not particularly unusual or unique, but it does smell like a soft, soapy lily. It does give a clean, pretty and upscale vibe, and it smells of money, but it doesn't last.

However, for the price and knowing what this brand is capable of, I'm not very taken with this. I wish the performance was better, or that it didn't cost what it did (I would probably "love" it if it were more affordable). It is really pleasant, and I'm happy with my sample, but I won't purchase this unless it's on sale.

*Yes, I review other things in glowing fashion when they're inexpensive and decent, but when perfumes are costly, I'm harder on them. Overall price/value is a huge factor for me...and this is one that you'd need to overspray.

Agent Provocateur101

Slightly late to the game with this one but I finally purchased a 9ml travel size spray and I’m really glad I did.....what a lovely Lily fragrance! It’s powdery, buttery and green which make for a wonderfully pleasing floral fragrance.

I find that lilies have a buttery warmth to them when smelling them in nature and this fragrance replicates that well. I love the green stem and leaves nuance in this too mixed with a delicate powderiness. A perfect spring floral. Unfortunately this does fade faster than I would like but I’m happy to have regular top ups to bring back that gorgeous buttery and green facet.

Incidentally....I’m currently heavily pregnant (due any day now) and I’ve noticed that my sense of smell has changed quite dramatically. I’m noticing that I can’t detect fragrances for as long or as well as pre-pregnancy.....so maybe a further review is in order once my nose has returned to normal.....but until then, cartiers Baiser vole is a beautiful pleasant floral which will get much use during spring.

Venusia

Take a fresh lily plant with flower, stem and leaves, bewitch it to powder and there is it: a lovely green fresh powdery lily scent that works all-season. So simple, yet so unbelievably fine!
Edit: it's rather one-dimensional, but exactly that makes its quality. Exactly what I love about this scent stays till dry-down

Amascent

I did not like this. Lily's are an overwhelming and offensive flower. Many offices ban use of lily's in public areas for a reason. I dont care for lily's at all personally, it's such a sharp note. It's a soft fragrance, but made sharp and unlikable to me by way too much lily.

freeze_siesta

I'm welcoming my 30's with this perfume. Somehow I find this perfume made me feel energised yet calming at the same time. Green notes are noticable after 3 hours on my skin and I like the way the notes stacked, it worked on me. In my opinion, this perfume is safe choice. Spray it once, for everyday wearing. Spray it 2-3 times after applying cream or lotion for special ocation and we're good to go.

natasha.wahyudihardjo

Guys, call me crazy but I have been able to figure out what this smells like once it starts drying down. It smells like Kerastase shampoo, the orange one. I adore this scent, I think it would make a very great bridal scent for holy matrimonies at church. It is not offensive, and a crowd pleaser. But yeah, it's funny because upon sniffing this, I know I have encountered this smell before but couldn't quite put my finger on what it smells like.

The scent stays true to the name. "Baiser Vole" means "stolen kiss" and there is such an innocent quality to this. This, along with Aerin's Ikat Jasmine would make great bridal fragrances.

roxyjuliet

This is a true lily scent. It smells of auratum lillies as you would smell them in a vase or walking past a flower shop (as others have mentioned). It is quite a nature realistic scent - of the whole flower, its petals, stems and leaves. It is green, warm, heady and spicy as the true flowers are.

Just beautiful. Very elegant. Great for all occasions.

I have the EDP, the sillage is moderate and longevity is moderate to good (6 hours + ).

BlueMerle

I purchased a small 30ml bottle as it was a blind buy and the reviews were enticing me. It's a blast of pure lily, what you might smell when you walk into a florist shop. I really do like this, after half an hour or so, the lily blast settles down into sweet, warm lily with a hint of scented soap. Imagine being in a laundry room: clean bed linens carefully folded, the warmth from the tumble drier, a vase of lilies on a shelf. This is a great scent for daytime wear, although probably more suitable for spring and summer. Totally inoffensive yet not boring either, very clean and pretty. Projection for me is about 3-4 hours, but I can still smell it as a skin scent many hours later. I will be wearing this a lot as a day scent next spring and summer.

Konga5000

Blind buy, blah...grass...Lily of the Valley...soap...soap....... blah. Dull and safe as milk. Nice bottle-- cap flips on to one side like...a metal cigarette lighter!

colorfulmess

Fresh! More watery lily than lilly-of-the-valley. It's like they bottled fresh dew on a spring morning. Linear, does not change, but sillage does get stronger with body heat. Baiser Vole took awhile for me to get used to but is now one of my favorites! If you like light green aquatic florals where the floral doesn't overwhelm, this would be a great choice.

Sequin

Smashed green leaves at first and then the actual lily blooms and stays. I have the Lys Rose version and now since I have bought BV, I realised it IS really rasberry with lily.
Anyway, I am a sucker for lily and I have been wanting BV for so long. It smells like florist shop but it is so feminine. But I am still searching for a special bred of lily: Lilium candidum, the Madonna lily. It is too perfect Nature's creation to be imitated by the industry I guess...

Pandarapt

The entire week’s stock of lilies of a market stall standing crisp and leafy inside fancy Italian hand blown glass vases, translucent whites and greens and abstract colored spots and speckles to match the flowers at first and three moods later with the verdant aspects mostly gone and warming into the pampered comforts of a boudoir, switched to pose inside rococo Sevre porcelain vessels alongside face powders and cold creams with some metallic tinge coming from the carved silver hair brushes and mirrors.

A very interesting, unorthodox “soliflore”, one-dimensional in concept but four-dimensional in experience, not only it takes you through the several stages of the lifespan of the flower, the bloom, the ripe and a little of the decay, but also paints a picture of the surroundings of the flower itself, in time and space. Pretty amazing.

s.pellegrino

This is such a bright scent! Smells like crisp morning air and soft sunlight coming in through the windows in winter or early spring, or like going to bed in a perfectly cleaned bedroom, with new sheets and flowers on the windowsill. Also, this is so poised, so crisp, but with real depth. Truly very beautiful.

minizelda

Just as they describe it "A pure floral".

DaturaD

This is love at first sight it has a very green and sharp lily scent at first but then it becomes a little spicy creamy lily and it stays that way for a long time. It is quite linear

Nancy83

I don't like the opening, too heavy floral spicy sharpness for my taste. The cloud gets reduced a lot after 2 hours, it's more tolerable, but it still lacks a roundness. It's elegant, feminine, but it's just not my type, I need something cozier or fresher. The longevity is moderate good on me.

Not the worst floral perfume I've smell, I won't wash myself, but I'm not sure if I will finish the sample I got, I will do other tries and see, but I definitely won't buy a full bottle. Cartier is hit or miss with me, if I have to buy one right now it would be Must De Cartier Gold, an earthy vanilla scent, I also prefer the florals Carat over Baiser Volé.

mounen

I wore this with some Lily floral oil on my wrists, and they blended together to create a scent that was thicker and heavier than the cartier on its own.
It gave it a heavy bottom, Cartier with a horses arse base to it, you might say.
I quite liked it, but I like a heavy scent.

svbg15

Fragrance is so subjective...After I read all the reviews here about how pure and beautiful this is I discover that to me this stinks of sweaty armpits attempted to be covered up with some old school perfume plus a huge dose of propolis. I just can't...

SundayGirl07

Every time I spray this I just think it smells like Barbasol shaving cream for men and on the dry down it smells a little like one of the Zest soaps. It definitely does have a spicy (kind of reminds me of clove) but 'clean' aspect in a soapy way but not an overwhelming one. I could see this being a unisex scent as I had to double check that I didn't accidentally order a sample of cologne. It's definitely unique but not for me.

Hawk65

Lovely Lilies! Sophisticated, clean, uncomplicated, fresh. I'm not a big fan of phoophoo florals, they can be cloying and overly sweet on my skin, but this is a crisp clean not overdone floral that was very pleasant.

My only complaint is the longivety on my dry skin. It only lasted a few hours on me, but my clothes still smell like it the next day. I only had the remnants of a small sample, which is a great spring scent. I don't know how it will perform in the Texas summer.

Update:
I added this to my monthly scent box selection so I can enjoy during June. People at the office will thank me.

saguna

I am glad I bought a sample of it. Headache inducing fragrance for me. And I already know this smell from somewhere, unfortunately it's not for me. I understand that this will find its lovers, but I have a huge problem with it and can't wear it.

churinl

This immediately starts out as pure laundry soap upon spraying, almost disturbingly so, to the point that I thought that this was a bad mistake. Within 10 minutes, that laundry soap vine goes away, and a spicy, dewy, green lily emerges and it's quite lovely. I don't get any citrus at all. I didn't have any true lily perfumes in my collection, excluding LotV, which is a different thing, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I am glad to have Baiser Vol in my collection now, and as long as I can get through the opening that I truly dislike, I can see myself reaching for this pretty often when I just want to smell clean and pretty.

EDIT - I've been struggling a bit with this one. I find that the initial blast of laundry soap seems to take away from my ability to fully embrace BV, but I haven't given up on it. In the meantime, I decided to layer it with TerraNova China Rain perfume essence - another scent I struggled with due to a plastic note - and the result is fantastic. They play off of each other beautifully. CR amplifies the lily, adding some sweetness and it increases the longevity. BV smoothes out CR. I hope to appreciate them both on thier own, but they will get plenty of use from me as a "mash up"!

MixedTastes

Very late to this, but what a lovely little fragrance!

Not usually a fan of green fragrances, but this is beautiful.

A green yet mellow lily, florist-fresh, softly spicy.

Gorgeous

The first time I try Baiser Vole is by accident when I was looking to try Carat. The salesgirl suggesting BV and claimed the perfume is unique and has it own regular buyer. So she sprayed it on paper strip and I found it weird, so I pass it on that day. Few days ago, I went to the same store and try BV on my wrist. The perfume is in sale that day and its a good deal. BV is dominant by lily and lily, very lily. Its green lily, and I don't get any citrus. For those who love lily, this is a great perfume. It don't get too harsh (if you spray it lightly), warm, delicate, clean and I feel the luxury smell. Great for day time, but don't over-spray - it might get you and people around dizzy. I am not a fan of lily, so I passed this one, just not my type.

LawmaLlama

This is a powder lover's classic white floral. Still delicate enough to be classy and not granny-esque, but just not my preference. Not a hint of oriental to my nose.

Tigi

She is all at once spicy, ever-so-delicately sweet, and serene. "Sophisticated", "elegant", "classic/ classy" all come to mind. She is wistfully innocent. The very thing which may make this seem boring upon first glance - the straightforward lily - is the very secret to its success here. Each aspect of this lily is apparent, from the cold vase water to the green, verdant foliage, all the way to the creamy, waxy majestic crown of a blossom.
I cannot imagine anyone finding this fragrance 'offensive' or 'overbearing' (save perhaps unless it is heavily, heavily oversprayed).
Fragrance: 10. She is the perfect Lily to me, YMMV.
Performance: Soft to moderate, lasting longer on textiles and hair than skin.
Value: Good or better. This can be found for modest prices.
A side note, I love that the name Baiser Volé, means "Stolen Kiss", hinting at the innocent maiden's blush when her lips are caught off-guard by a bold and avid suitor.
Baiser Volé is a lily-lover's dream.

taureanrage69

Baiser Vole is a lovely floral perfume, but this is the only time of year when I really feel like wearing it. It makes me think of early spring, floral shops and church on Easter, and my mind really doesn't go anywhere else when I wear it. On me this remains a very cool shimmering white/light blue/silver-feeling perfume throughout the life of it. It starts out strong and gradually fades into a whisper. Before it gets there, though, I detect what seems like an almost-vanillic note, but it's probably my imagination; either way it's a nice break from the extreme floral. I like this but not enough to repurchase.

elmccullar

Absolutely beautiful, fresh, green lily at first. Once the scent sinks into your skin, it gains a bit of warmth, but the lily stays. It’s a very fresh springy scent. It’s what Easter Day in a beautiful, expensive white dress would smell like. It’s classy, elegant and easy to wear.

el-bi

this is a very unique fragrance.
smells like carnations and vanilla . i don't get the lilly note .
i smell silk and light spring breeze, like if you are in the middle of a valley wearing your mothers silk gown. there is class and luxury captured in this little bottle.
the bottle alone is a tiny gem! who would expect less from cartier!
my absolute spring scent, higly recomend-although longevity is poor.

Rozan

Baiser Vole is a beautiful perfume. Crystalline, but not in a soapy way. Sweet lilies in the middle of a garden. Initially strong, with time gaining delicacy and grace... The aroma is very natural. If you don't like lilies, you won't like Baiser Vole. Good durability, moderate projection. I recommend tests.

Nova_

Reminds me of the myrtle shrubs we used to have in our garden when I was a kid. It resembles the light version of the crushed leaves of myrtle. Very safe to use in the office since it doesn't project. Close to skin, weak/moderate silage and lasting, nice but without a character to due its watery and light composition. I have to layer a lot if I wanted to smell it :(

IF only it lasted longer!

RoseGrande

This smells just like Coppertone Water Babies sunscreen. I LOVE it, but it's just for summer. I can't see myself wearing it for spring. I guess i just associate it with that sunscreen, and i only wore it in the mid-summer when i was little.

marinaw90

The opening is the smell of a florist as you walk through the door. Fresh lilies stood in vases of water, water that has taken on a grassy smell.

It settles VERY quickly to a softer lily note, and what comes through is a creamy sweetness, like crushed sweets or vanilla ice cream. I've never known top notes to disappear quite as quickly.

A scent that you really need to try on rather than smell on a test strip or out of the bottle.

I would probably only wear this in winter and early spring. When the actual lilies come out in summer, their scent is actually often too heady to enjoy in hot weather.

florally

First three times I wore this, it was on warm and humid days. Honestly, it was a little nauseating, and I was so disappointed. But I'd seen others referencing this being more of a winter/cool weather scent, so I tried it again on a cool, rainy day. And it started making sense.

It reminds me of Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia -- not the actual notes, but the smooth elegance and simplicity. They're like different sides of the same coin -- ELTG is warm and honeyed, CBV is cool and dewy. It gently expects respect from those around you; never shouting, just calmly expecting and receiving the best.

I don't love this yet, but I expect come winter time here in the southern hemisphere, I'll be spending a lot more time with it, and I've a feeling 'like' might turn to 'love'.

Longevity and sillage are both poor on me.

UPDATE: ...apparently I didn't need to wait for winter for this to become a love! I adore it. Today is warm and it's perfect.

kastehelmi

This is addictive. I usually don't drain samples quickly. I like to switch up my perfumes a lot, and usually want to leave a little to be able to wait a decent amount of time before retesting. But I used this sample up quicker than I wanted to. I would say the lasting power is average for a lighter type of floral, like 3-4 hours, but it lightens significantly in a way that gives me an urge to reapply sooner than I am inclined to with most perfumes. I am usually content to change perfumes midday and wear 2 or 3 perfumes in one day, but I applied Baiser Volé generously this morning, and after clocking out of work. I realized I had to drain the sample then, thinking I could apply again tonight. Too bad, I will have to wait to attain a decant.I haven't received any compliments so far, but I know I smell heavenly wearing this. Now that is good perfume!

Matheya

I guess it's true that beauty is in simplicity ! I'm surprised the formula has only 3 notes !
This is an Expensive lily ! The quality is amazing - lasts for days! There's nothing sharp or alcoholic in the perfume. I guess the company uses quality oils for real. Just like I have this impression for Hermes perfumes.
When they say it's just Lily - true BUT Quality Lily, not a regular one! ;)

Aureliescent

My favorite as a hair-mist. It last longer on hair and sillage goes very far. Not so well on my skin though, but it's a favorite for hair.

kastehelmi

This is a very comforting shampoo-creamy perfume! Smells very much like lilies, and not much else. This is a Floral, any crispness doesn't make it green. The powderiness brings to mind a touch of pollen to round out the nectar in the hot sun. I think it might be better suited to cold weather, but I haven't been able to test it in hot weather, I might be wrong.Right now, this is luscious without being overkill. I like the smell of lilies in nature, but in perfume they usually go too sharp, heavy and heady. What a nice surprise!Just like a stolen kiss!

CoffeeLuva

Blind buy at Marshalls and I love it.

Mediahead

It’s 1932 and you’re stepping out of your bath, grabbing a towel along the way. You make your way over to your dressing station, patting yourself dry. Your hands reach for one of the beautiful, crystal jars on your vanity. You open the lid and dip your fingers in cold cream - blend of various fats, oils and other keep-you-youthful potions. The concoction is lightly scented with lily.

A user below mentioned this scent smells “moisturizing” and I can’t agree more. After a rather harsh opening I don’t quite like, all the other phases of drydown with this scent are heaven. It’s clean without being soapy or harsh and it’s sweet in a way that’s unlike any other scent I own. In fact, it’s downright strange - and I mean that in the best way.

It took me nearly two years to finally try this scent. The notes pyramid seemed far too simple for me to like. Could I love a scent that focuses solely on Lily? The answer was YES. I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to see what you all have been rambling on and on about.

Longevity is absolutely sublime - my skin eats fragrance and Baiser Vole is still there 9+ hours later.

Long story short - Baiser Volé smells like an absolute luxury and, quite frankly, I don’t feel worthy of wearing it. Doesn’t mean I won’t ;)

Kateri81

I kept thinking, why a perfume created for spring and summer reminded me so much of winter and Christmas. This morning I went running. It was quite cold and crispy. Once I left the streets and entered the park, inhaled deeply and... that was it. That was the smell. Baiser Vole. It smells like the cold crisp winter air and frost and snow, so pure, musky, green, bitter and citrusy. Lights in the windows, Christmas trees, evening walks through the decorated streets, sparkling wine (we drink it on the Christmas day), red cheeks, catching the snow flakes on the tip of my tongue. So this is one and another hundred reasons why this IS "my Christmas perfume". Forever.

AmazingPerfumes

When we use the function 'This perfume reminds me of' I think we are using up the space for flankers too much.
It would be great if we could restrict the flankers a bit, so we could choose some resembling perfumes from other houses.

Swedelish

I've been testing Baiser Vole for months off and on and not only do I love it but now want every flanker. It's bitter green stems and honeyed lilies over a soft vanilla base. It's clean and cold, a little sharp at first, but then I get periodic moments of warmth. Such a well constructed fragrance that's ladylike and proper but can be manipulated to suit any occasion. It's simple, though never boring. Long lasting lilies galore! Possibly the best lily fragrance out there next to Un Lys.

cocofluff

- This perfume is stunning. It is simple but classy. The lily is gorgeous. This perfume smells clean and fresh. I smell peppery lily, green notes, and a touch of effervescence from the citrus. It dries down creamy, clean, and slightly powdery.

I bought 2 flankers essence and lys rose, and I love all of them equally but for different reasons. I love this one because it's simple and gorgeous.

I'm going to wear this perfume to my upcoming job interview.

thecoffeeslayer

This is the whole bouquet of lilies. Stem and petals. It is soft & beautiful. It both reminds me of Easter lilies and of a sanitized funeral. You know, a modern wake/service indoors where everything is super clean/sanitized and devoid of warmth? All you can smell is the flowers & a little lemon cleaning fluid from out in the hallway. I know. Two very contradictory things. Both, both are lilies in my head. Focus on Easter lilies.

mychinarose

I’m really surprised that vanilla isn’t listed as one of the notes because the drydown definitely feels like soft warm vanilla on my skin. Baiser Vole is a very soft and sophisticated lily scent, very wearable and suitable for environments where heavy perfume is frowned upon. This is the perfect job interview perfume. It has the vibe of a skin scent without the usual musk that those types of frags usually include. I was tempted to layer other things over this today but I held my ground because I really wanted to get an honest assessment. I have a manufacturer sample but don’t think I’ll be buying since I already own so many skin scents, but this is a beauty.

miss nomi

Much too dry for my taste. The initial first smell had me turn my nose in disgust. Old lady soap was my first take. For 3 or 4 days I would sniff it & put it down. Tried on my wrist and immediately washed it off. Checked the label to make sure I did, in fact, have the same perfume so many others rave about. Sharp green top notes-check. Fresh lily notes-check. Big bouquet of flowers-sorta check, though very artificial. Creamy powdery dry down-check. Final analysis: still old lady soap, at least for my body chemistry. I don’t get the sweetness out of it at all.

Azula

This is absolutely sublime.

The opening is evocative of crisp greenery and foliage moistened by a light shower of rain, along with nuances of soil and peppery, fresh spiciness that is redolent of Ostara, but less astringent, aromatic and aggressive. The opening was challenging for me initially—so much so that I strongly favoured the Essence de Parfum—but I’ve come to appreciate its different facets and beauty even more so than the aforementioned flanker.

The initial verdancy and spiciness is quite fleeting however, and it’s mere minutes before the wearer is introduced to the most idyllic, refined and deliciously creamy lily, stamen and all. It’s delicate and understated, yet lush and unabashedly feminine. There’s a definite hint of smooth, sweet powder that compliments the creamy floralcy of the lily. This is how the fragrance performs for the remainder of its wear.

In comparison to Essence de Parfum, the original Baiser Volé is creamier, cooler and presents more facets, rendering it slightly more complex. The greenery and peppery nuances are almost nonexistent in the Essence flanker, instead replaced by a plasticky, “yellow” opening and an enveloping, boozy vanilla with a fluffy, cozy texture that progressively becomes more powdery and sweet as the fragrance develops. The “lilies and toasted marshmallows” description hits the nail right on the head.

Longevity is moderate to long lasting, but sillage and projection are very soft and intimate. I’d prefer a more distinctive presence from this beauty, but that’s simply because I tend to gravitate towards powerhouses. This one is so beautiful, however, that it’s an exception to the rule. Truly, utterly divine.

Bubbles1964

I bought a .5 oz size of this because I fell hard for Baiser Vole Essence, and wanted to test the source and inspiration for it.

I agree with others that this Spring scent has great longevity but soft projection and sillage. That doesn’t make it a bad perfume in my opinion as I don’t need everyone around me to confirm that what I’m wearing is likable. If I’m enjoying it that will do on most days.

Both the original and Essence are quite linear, only getting softer with time. Baiser Volé is a dryer lily. Essence is more full, rounder and more interesting, and with the addition of vanilla it’s spectacular (a note that doesn’t seem like it belongs with lily).

Both are rather simple, but Baiser Vole feels more serious. It’s still very pretty but I’m in love with her offspring.

greenbluegray

Someone sent you flowers, and it's becoming quite heady in your small office. :-) Received a nice-sized sample of this with another order, my first try of a Cartier scent. Oh, I wish I'd had this in the spring. Pure fresh creamy flowers with a slight tint of crushed sticks and leaves on the back. The rest of this is going onto a scarf I will wear to let the fresh flowers linger near my face all day. Pink is the right color for this juice.

I thought the price would be shockingly high, but it was not. Now I am curious about other Cartier scents. I had never even noticed this brand before and assumed it was only a high end find, not accessible for the likes of a librarian like me, lol.

I have had to buy more, even though I am a floral woody musk and floriental girl -- for some reason, I could not get enough of this. Katie Puckrik says it eventually goes to Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific, and maybe that is it! Nostalgia!

Check out the bottle -- the cap comes up like a lighter! Just so adorable.

over_caffeine

Very classy lily soliflore. Happy and sad at the same time, it can remind me of either a wedding or a funeral. This is a photorealistic lily scent. Sillage is soft but lasting power is amazing. I love the bottle--true to Cartier's jeweler heritage.
No, I don't have the urge to buy a bottle, at least not yet.

Reine_des_Neiges

I often write two reviews for each scent; the second review normally after wearing the scent a couple of times. So here we go for Cartier Baiser Vole.

This is (don't be too surprised) a strong lily soliflore. This is so photorealistic, nothing else will compare to this in terms of lily. It's natural and extremely fresh smelling, a linear scent, only becoming a tad softer in the drydown.

I do not like this sprayed on paper or in the air, it's just too much for me. Also it gives me a grandma vibe, I am biased though as my grandmother is big on lily scents. She would adore this. But on my skin it becomes more forgiving and a bit creamier and that way I love this. It screams class to me - in the sense that it's the epitome of a classy scent to me, it never actually screams, it's very polite. Just like a classy lady. I don't find this an everyday scent, not for me at least. It's too sophisticated for that and on my 'slob days' I wouldn't dare wearing this; I wouldn't feel worthy.

This is such a beauty. Simplistic but masterfully done, very classy, polite, time- and effortless. I could imagine Audrey Hepburn wearing this. I know she wore Spring Flower and English Promenade which are nothing like this, but I mean more in a sense that this would fit her simple yet elegant style to a T.

It's a very light scent, sillage is about arm's length, longevity - on me at least - is incredible. This survives showers on me, even if I scrub the spots where I've sprayed it.

I'm very glad I have this in my collection.

anna1987

It's nice to mix this soft but intriguing fragrance with Jo Malone's Blackberry and Bay.

Quiet lily. This is not going to give you any projection or sillage. Although it is a beautiful lily scent, I have to admit the comparisons to sun screen or perhaps face cream are apt.

Interesting to experience, but not worth buying IMO.

Fresh, dewy, austere, glistening lily and greens. I find it kinda wonderful, but I'm not sure it's "me." I may decide to include it in my collection after all, though...

I find a lot of contradictions here. It's youthful yet melancholy, fresh & vibrant but self-possessed. Beautiful but sad... yet also makes me feel weirdly hopeful? This feels like a fragrance for someone who's got a serious side, with an understated loveliness. It's not a party-girl perfume at all.

I get the comparisons to a funeral scent, since lilies are a funeral flower. But this is more than that. It doesn't remind me of death, it's somehow just quiet, understated, and self-aware. And pure.

On me, this fades very quickly. Not sure if I become anosmic or if the longevity is just poor. Not great sillage, either. But this isn't really a "look at me" perfume. This is more of a "listen to me" perfume.

This has been on my radar, I like green/powdery/vintage type scents now, and I luckily got a sample with an order so I didn't have to blind buy. (the EDP)

I was very excited to try this, and I wanted to love it. Good reviews, and the fact it's called a "funeral" scent made me happy since I'm an old goth and I LOVE the show Six Feet Under and wish I belonged to the Fisher family. lol...

Well, this is nice. But I'm not blown away. I do get a very light, clean, simple floral/powder/tiny bit green. Yes, a very elegant soap. It's not what I had hoped for, but I like it. Just not enough to buy a full bottle.

Yet. Haha.

I wonder if the EDT would be more my thing because it's greener? Or the Essense because it's stronger?

This wasn’t love at first sniff.. but somehow it turned into a love affair.
Baiser Vole is magnificent. It needs some time to warm up.. but once it does, I can’t stop sniffing my wrist.

It’s soft, elegant and maybe a little bit unusual. It’s powdery but never too sweet. It has a lovely warmth to it, that is not comparable to all these gourmand scents out there.
I imagine a very effortlesss, gentle woman wearing this fragrance. She knows what she is doing and where she is going. She doesn’t care about the superficial, but always has a heart of gold. She’s gentle but she’s fierce.

Even on a hot summer’s day this isn’t cloying. It has a floral freshness that is hard to describe. The sillage is soft but present. A skin scent that gives off this feminine, ethereal aura around you.
Could make for an awesome signature scent.
It becomes a part of you.

This gets a love from me.

Rebelieve

Nah , such a dissapointment on my skin that is. Had high hopes but now I only smell Kenzo Flower and it doesnt last and just fades away very quick.
But for summer a fresh fragrance .

I prefer better Baiser Vole Essence de Parfum.
Essence de Parfum smells of pure Easter lily (Lilum longiflorum.
Eau de Parfum is more "washing powdery". It smells like mix of Easter lily and Calla lily (Zantedeschia aethiopica), scent of florist shop with the freshness of washing powder.
