Love & fragrance#01

I recently rebuyed a 150ml bottle. I bought the EDT in stead of the EDP. I missed the woodiness in the EDP. It is there, but less prominent and I found it more musky than the EDT. This one is perfectly balanced, that’s why Iove it. I will keep rebuying this forever! It’s inoffensive, airy, woody, citrussy and musky. Just perfect!

LEM922

Green, citrus, lemon-y. Reminiscent of lemon pledge, but not in a bad way. Something about this just works. People say it’s unisex, and it can be of course, but I find it very feminine. Lovely fresh fragrance… it reminds me of walking through Bryant Park in the spring. Youthful, but sophisticated. Lasting power is minimal. I tend to stay away from citrus freshies, as I find them sharply cloying, or smell like cleaner… this one does not. Actually, if I had to buy a “freshie”, i would buy this one. Really, really sophisticated.

Hifza

These days I am getting crazy for woody scents. I have always found Chanel fragrances very classy and sophisticated and this one is a top-notch scent. I think no other fragrance can beat it's level in woody aromatic scents. It's warm and clean, crisp and classy, cozy and comfortable, elegant and graceful. It's divine, it's all me!

Jaeyoung07

Great, great summer perfume. Gives that elegant yet fun and approachable kind of vibe. Got compliments for when I wore it. Very much unisex.

PhantomBelle

I adore this perfume, it is forever my 'if you could only have one' perfume without a doubt. I've had it since it first dropped and it is my best compliment-getting scent. I even had to get a 2nd bottle before the first even ran out.

Citrus, fresh, energizing-this has everything. And, it LASTS! 6-8 hour range definitely. Perfect summer scent, it shines when it's hot outside.

The new Eau Fraiche EDP is slightly darker green with a metallic silver cap, this EDT is lighter green juice with a semi-opaque white/clear cap.

The scents of my childhood -- mum's favourite perfume. Loving, warm, fresh, and sophisticated.

When I was young, my mum had to leave the house so early in the morning for work. Still, when I got up to get ready for school, I could smell her perfume lingering in the air. Later in the day when she got back, I could smell the faint scent when I hugged her.

My mum has moved on to other perfume in the past few years. She owns a bottle, though rarely uses it anymore. However, this is the only perfume that makes me think of her. Will get myself a bottle one day, but hopefully... not soon.

Love it... please never discontinue <3

Pinja

Time and trends put this in a different cathegory today, compared to 2007 when it came out. I thought then it was childish, juvenile, brash, not classy, not a "real perfume."
A couple decades went by. And now, year 2024, among the supergourmand, übersweet, overpotent sinuskilling bombs they call perfume, Chance Eau Fraîche edt seems classy, stylish, beautiful, has proper development on skin and is a great fraîche-flowery fragrance for grown up women like myself. Now I love it.
The notes list makes sense, I can smell every single note listed. Unlike with current so called lists which convey an abstract image for marketing, far from reality.
A close long lost (but luckily found) cousin of Chloe Nomade edt, also close to Dior Homme Cologne 2013.

Lykopa

Fresh and classy. Reminds me of a matching suit and skirt set at brunch. The woodiness balances so well witht he citrus. I really love this citron cedar combo. Sophisticated and stylish!

Mil99718

I sprayed some of this on my hand while out shopping today, and I have to say I love it! So fresh and yet sophisticated. I definitely feel its more unisex though, I think any gender could pull this off. Very lemony.

I washed my hands about an hour after applying this, and can still get a slight whiff if I put it close to my nose, which to me is impressive for a fraiche perfume. I prefer subtle scents that don't project too much so this is definitely up my street, might not be for everyone though.

cctina8

Clean and fresh but still a little flirty. I’m looking forward to wearing it in the spring and summer. It will be a simple, easy-reach scent for me. I imagine it going perfectly with those simple, white t-shirt outfits

kitkatya

Perfect freshie, feminine and interesting without being offensive, not for me but great at what it is

naxcissique

Citrus, white floral and pink pepper isn’t something I usually go for but the way they are layered in this perfume makes it so irresistibly fresh and green to me. Contrary to most comments here I actually find this very feminine (although maybe it’s just me — the scents I consider masculine run more on the gin-like or smoky scents). It’s sophisticated enough to stay on the stable at the moment, but I’d like to smell this on my partner, a woman bursting with femininity and warmth, more than on me.

MysteriousMidna

It’s a fresh and fruity (mainly citrus), slightly woody, floral scent. A perfect balance between woods, citrus, and florals. It’s refreshing, delicious, and pretty. I wouldn’t describe this as delicate or elegant, but I can see how some would describe it as sporty. Don’t let that dissuade you though, I really like it and I’m not sporty at all. The citrus I smell is less lemon and more freshly peeled mandarin. I don’t normally like vetiver or patchouli but the vetiver is very subtle and I can’t detect any patchouli. The cedar is fairly mild as well. Overall this fragrance is very well balanced and very versatile. The Oil Perfumery has a great dupe if you want to save some money.

Аромат взагалі не сподобався, після нього в мене болить голова(

mothtoaflame___

It’s the perfect casual type scent, yet versatile enough to wear it basically in any setting, due to the ever-so-elegant Chanel DNA.

OTA Mom

Lemon with cedar gives this a sporty feel, which seems all kinds of wrong for a Chanel fragrance.

Kbar

I adore this scent, perfect mix of sweet and fresh. Unfortunately I’m allergic to sth in it (still don’t know what) I have the same reaction with Delina 😔

fairykitty

My favorite from 2007 until now 2023))) haven't found yet a more favorite)

op81

this is actually pretty nice, projects well and is clean yet deep, the musk accentuates the woody and cozy notes

AlexandraRoseD

Although I love fresh / woody parfumes, no matter how many times I tried this parfume I wasn't able to connect to it.

The same for Un Jardin sur la Nil.

Today I finally understood why - they smell masculine to me!

Passed them both to my partner and they both smell great on him!

Kekekie

I have had this fragrance in EDT for a while now and stillfind it quite potent (bought this bottle in 2018). I first purchased a bottle in 2008. It lasted me about 8 years. I fell in and out of love with it, but it still found it a wonderful fragrance, just unsure if I found it feminine enough in certain circonstances.

Therefore, I find that althought marketed as a female scent, it has more of a unisex feel to me. I would be delighted to smell this fragrance on a guy rather than some cologne which half the time I find way to strong for my taste.

The EDT is a well crafted fragrance that is worth havin in your arsenal.I would say, more than a Coco Mademoiselle even. Chance eau fraiche is vibrant and invigorating but also a bit formal so to me is a get to work scent lol. I also have Coco Mademoiselle and cannot wear it for the life of me. To me, Chance eau fraiche is as far as I want to go with the chanel signature scent. Beyond that, it just nausiates me unfortunately, without subtleties.

gia1225

Wore this to my wedding on a warm day in November - the perfect fragrance.

Rizaibb

Sprayed this side by side with the OG Chance EDT and IMO, they are almost identical. Both have citrusy top notes, the only difference is that the OG has prominent pineapple notes making it more masculine than eau fraiche. If you have the OG there is no need to purchase eau fraiche and vise versa. The eau tendre is the softest, most feminine among the Chance line.

SpectralScents

I’ve probably reviewed this many times but again I say, no, proclaim that this is a truly heavenly fragrance! I took the fleeting opportunity to wear this on what is probably one of the last hot days of the year in my region. It never fails to encapsulate all that is good about those hot summer days and beautiful skies over the flowers bursting with life and vibrance. The uplifting nature of this scent is unmatched. Spray for a splash of sunshine and bliss.

kristina_m

I rate this a 10/10. This is my favorite perfume of all time, such a fresh scent, and I can't even count the number of bottles I've gone through since discovering this! I wear it all year long. I suppose yes it can smell a bit "masculine" and I'm female... but I do not care, it's super fresh and clean and lemon-grassy. Citrus scents are my favorite and I hate heavy sugary sweet perfumes, they make me want to get sick (Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia and YSL Mon Paris, I'm looking at you!). I didn't wear perfumes during covid, so the bottle I've had has lasted since around 2018/2019 but didn't get rancid despite being in a humid bathroom. It's a really a great perfume.

justcheckinout

I used to like this when I was a child, and had a sample from 10 years ago that already dried up. However, when I retested this at Sephora today, it turns out that my tastes have changed over the years. It opens with heavy lemon and cedar that remind me of typical designer male fragrances, the salty sweet sea breeze vibe. The cedar note stays there throughout the run, even at the drydown when amber and vetiver are present, making the scent unisex and masculine-leaning. This might be an interesting release at its time, when the market was full of fruitchoulis and floral freshies, but nowadays it's really a "meh" to me. Sillage is strong for an EDT.

leatherorrisviolet

I don’t have much familiarity with female-targeted Chanel scents, but all I have to say is that this smells masculine upon application. It reminds me of the Les Eau de Chanel line, and would probably the second most masculine release to Edimbourg if it was released in that line

WitchQueen

7/10. I keep thinking of this is a summer scent because of the citrus, but every time I wear it it feels like a spring scent. It's slightly too formal for summer, it has just a touch of that fancy Chanel DNA. This is one of the few Chanels that I like and has the poorest staying power of all the Chanels. Classy, crisp and fresh citrus-woods.

ION

This is what I'd call, 'sophisticated casual'. Feels complex and multifaceted (like all Chanel perfumes) and lasts ages on my skin (it is still there, even after the shower)! I hope this is true for the latest batch as well, because I really need a new 150 ml bottle..
Personally, I would have preferred it a little sweeter (only a little) but it is lovely as it is, nevertheless. It truly is a flanker of the fabulous, original "Chance", especially in the opening and a man can easily wear it, but don't expect something fresh/lemony and/or 'summer like'. This is not a 'fresh' perfume in a conventional way, not at all!

The edp version I haven't tried it, but I do think that it is a necessary release, which comes on time; looks like it is a "woody fresh" perfume - precisely what everyone who wants to smell nice and sexy, needs.

FirstSense

Chanel knows how to differentiate itself from the endless pool of fresh feminine citrus perfumes. It's the perfect blend of lemon, fresh flowers, light woods with high quality aldehydes. Light and airy, fresh and elegant. I'm a masculine lemon lover. So, can I wear this? Absolutely. But I prefer this on a lady with class and good taste. In jeans and crisp white shirt or a lovely light summer dress. Chanel still knows "Elegance"!

luanneog

Ever so slightly masculine at the beginning. Could be unisex. It smells citrusy, clean and fresh. An invigorating and woody scent. I can picture sophistcated rich person wearing this.

seveun

Initially I didn't think this perfume was anything special, but after wearing it for a few days I really grew to love it--the opening is fresh and slightly spicy (the pink pepper comes through pretty strongly for me at first spray) with a very characteristic Chanel finish, very airy smell. But what I really love is the dry down, after a day of wearing it it really smelled like my skin with a soapy but not laundry scent that clung to my skin. I don't usually love super feminine scents so the notes of vetiver and patchouli were also a plus for me!

Honeysuckle-dream

I recently received a bottle as a gift. It's fresh and strong and a little sporty, which makes it more unisex than totally feminine. I wouldn't have bought this for myself because it's strong and it gave me a mild headache on the first wear even though I liked the notes.
The bottle was gift from my husband, so I tried again. I sprayed my chest and lower back instead of my arms. Adam F. was right! It is more subtle in those areas because I do move my arms a lot. It didn't bother my nostrils this time. It was wonderful on hot humid days of summer school with outdoor recess periods. It works in the winter. I wear it when I'm not in the mood for vanilla, citrus, lavender or gourmands scents. This was a pleasant surprise.

Lauren387

I got this as a gift and ignored it for a year or two until recently. The opening is cold, green, sporty, and I am immediately reminded why it sat unloved for so long. Once I push past the beginning and it dries down, I get teases of the jasmine and water hyacinth which are pleasant, but these feminine notes are in a losing battle against the patchouli and vetiver. I will use this in my rotation of spring and summer professional fragrances. However, I am not compelled to repurchase once this is done.

Clairexoxo

Fresh, clean, simple, great for summer.

Smells like soapy clean lemon with a subtle sweetness, some natural woods, and clean creamy musk in the back.

Unisex — my brother said he likes it and would wear it. I got 4 hours of longevity on my skin

kayvee1102

The cedar opening is off putting to me. It reminds me too much of the shaving in a hamster cage.

MrAbbas

Fresh crisp woody citrusy scent that is perfect as an everyday summer scent. It smells very elegant and classy. You smell cleansand fresh, and the idea that you are wearing a "Chanel" makes it more elevated. I got compliemneted on it by my coworker after 2 hours of spraying it on 2 different days. It has a respectful performance for an EDT. High quality but its way overpriced, but again its Chanel so its expected. Get the 150ml as it is the best deal and will be used daily. I really enjoy it and glad with my purchase.

Samanthaheer

Fresh! Clean! Just what I needed after wanting a break from my D&G Light Blue. Perfect Spring and Summer frag. Evokes happiness!

FutureKiwi

This is the scent of late Spring and Summer. Very unisex - to the point it can actually swing into the masculine side (at least on me, as the patchouli plays nasty tricks on my skin). But there is this Chanel quality to it, which makes it too classy to compare it to generic, 'sporty' scents. I use it whenever I need to be more down to Earth - as it is very earthy/woody fragrance. I might be slightly biased when it comes to the whole Chance collection, I just love it (probably more than it deserves - but that's because these fragrances represent the most careless times of my life).

Erinm13

I have been wearing this one on and off for the past 12 years or so - it’s fresh, citrusy and great for a casual outing or work. On my clothes the scent lasts for DAYS and I can sometimes still smell it on them when I do laundry a week later. On my skin it lasts several hours, but not nearly as long as on my clothes. A perfect fragrance for summer and spring!

LSAUG

I agree w/ the review below. An easy reach freshie from Chanel. This is the woman on the go at any age. Perfect for a young high school girl who is busy w/ sports, friends, and all other school activities. The young college woman that has to much to do and not enough time to do it. Same for a mother w/ kids or the office woman on the go. This perfume will give you energy and life while making you feel and smell great. Fresh, classy, and on point. You can't go wrong here. Really would shine in hot weather but this is a year round signature for the type of woman who is always on the go.

Snob Smells

An easy reach freshie from the house of Chanel. Although this is nothing too groundbreaking- this is IMO a safe blind buy. A combination of citrusy florals and light woods...what's there not to like? Also makes a great graduation gift or for someone younger who wants to "own" a Chanel perfume.

AlexandraRoseD

Citrucy/woody slightly sweet summer scent.

In the same family with Versace Dylan turquise and Veresence, but better.

Also better in my opinion than Un Jardin sur le Nil from Hermes, the later does not have an edge factor.

Casual non-offensive scent, thus well suited for office and day time activities in the summer.

For this price tag I'm looking for a bigger wow factor.

seanyboy

Passed somebody in the store today and was compelled to turn back , ask them the fragrance and compliment . This was it.

Laurus

Kind of masculine just like chance but I like this one better because I feel like it is very uplifting. I find this quite sporty but I am not enjoying this as much as I enjoy my Eau De Rochas. This one has this cloying "water" note which can cause me headache and just makes it too much and too masculine.

Kuty22

I was convinced that I loved this scent, tried many times in the store.
Last weekend, when on to purchase the biggest bottle, but decided to try it again on my skin, and for some odd reason I didn't love it anymore. I own Chance EDT which was a lovely surprise and Eau Tendre.
This one reminds me a bit Chance EDT but it didn't spark anything in me. I still think it smells nice and fresh, totally unisex.
I have Versace Versence and that one puts me in such a good mood..

Heathermarie8617

My favorites from the Chance line are the original EDT as well as Eau Tendre. For some reason I waited until now to try Eau Fraiche (blind buy win!) I don't see that pear is listed in the opening notes, but to my nose this opens with a citrusy sparkling pear followed by the florals, musk and woody notes. There are similarities to the original Edt, but this is fresher and refreshing. This is an instant "love" for me as it gives me that same happy/fluttery feeling the OG gives me. I'm super happy to have this in my collection. Next I need to give Eau Vive a longer try. I also want to note that this could totally be unisex!

Lin_phph

This was my first perfume. My mom bought me for my 16th birthday. I still cannot describe exactly how it smells like but it makes me feel like fresh flowers and leaves in the morning after a rain. It lasted long on my skin with clean woody smell (around 2 days)

swearingeni

I have had this perfume for over 5 years and still can't decide if I like it on me or not! The pros are that it's a nice fresh and professional scent. I find this to be very work-place appropriate; in my opinion, it gives off chic vibes. Aside from day-to-day at work, I'd imagine this to be perfect for a brunch with the girls or a visit to a museum. The major con for me is that it's quite strong, especially at opening. It also seems a bit too masculine or cologne-like on me for my taste, maybe because of the woodiness. For this reason, I don't think I'll be re-purchasing.

Ambikaambika

Green, flowery, grassy fresh heavenly spring, clean, super floral just amazing and beautiful!!

CocoBlack

Very fresh and beautiful. Not overwhelming nor cloying. Somehow makes me feel powerful.

AuthenticAF

Just got this for spring/summer. Very refreshing! Will be back with a more complete review later after i wear for a bit.
Update: i do really like this, it is great for the office bc it isnt too strong, prissy, or girly. It feels refreshing and clean but not soapy. I personally cannot really smell it on myself, i cant tell if it is my nose or just a performance thing. It is a clean citrus that does not smell like cleaning detergent. I dont know if id call this sexy… it smells very good but sex doesnt come to mind with this. This is like what women wear before they plays doubles at the club and then brunch.

batuhanavci

This is a clean, fresh and uplifting woody citrus scent. I love to wear this on warm, sunny spring and summer days.

Eaugirlspirit

I am so rejuvenated by this!!!! It was my sister’s signature for a while, but I realized that the original chance was my signature for so long in my twenties, I might as well try this one. Well, this absolutely feels like the original- just a spring/summer version!
I love the classic chance floral blend: hyacinth, jasmine and iris. There really is nothing more beautiful to my nose. I find this feminine even though others say it leans unisex.
(This can be found at duty free in airports for under $100, which is why I jumped on it!!!)

camphor_lover

Citrusy and SOAPY. Not a bad scent but not very interesting.

alexoxoxo

Love this. Perfect for warmer months - it's lively, a bit earthy, bright, slightly floral. Just a really great freshie that lingers beautifully. I'll always keep this one in my collection!

arefuthescroob

Nice, clean and fresh inoffensive white flowers scent.

agejo

love this fragrance. very nice and earthy, the wood and floral notes make this perfume so nice. it's like a very.. fresh perfume as well. i don't own many chanel perfumes, too expensive for me, but this one was totally worth the buy.

Gms02

This is one of my favorite perfumes to wear to the gym. Not too strong or offensive, as long as you don’t go crazy with the sprays. I wouldn’t buy without smelling because it definitely has a green, masculine touch to it. Like a fresh cologne vibe mixed with some florals. Perfect for the summer and unisex for sure. I share with my boyfriend and I love it on him too.

Nancy Lynn

On me, this is lemon, cedar, pink pepper, iris and white musk from the first spray to dry down, on skin or clothes or the next day, no matter what it doesn't change.  I don't get any patchouli, jasmine or amber.  This is bright and fresh in a crisp and sparkling way.  Very much pencil shavings in there and I love that too.  I like fresh frags in the winter air, so that is when I wear it, stays fresh that way. Smells like a blazing clear, blue sky on a snowy winter day.  Similar to Eau de Cartier and nothing like the Chance line itself.

CarmenNola23

This was the first flanker of Chance, but I tend to think of Chance itself as a flanker of Coco Mademoiselle. Fraiche really softens the most powerful feminine notes in those scents leaving a fresh, citrusy and woody base. This was the first of a fragrance trend of powdery-green lovely bright scents and it set the tone for others to come soon after like Versace’s Versense and Bvlgari’s Omnia Jade. It is linear because of its simplicity but it’s actually very comforting to wear. Though I do slightly prefer Versense because it lasts longer, Fraiche is more alluring while also being inoffensive. A gem for any fragrance collection and I’m definitely keeping it in mine. Can’t wait to try the parfum version, too. 💚

lmnsvgz

Might be placebo from the bottle but this smells quite green compared to the others. It's okay, it is a nice citrus smell, but wayy too overpriced. If you want a good citrus try Atelier Cologne

didsthecat

Incredibly nauseating. My mum always had this perfume growing up and it’s never been one I’ve been able to learn to like. It reminds me too much of hairspray.

cutepoison

Very green/grassy opening that I can’t stand. The dry down is more warm, musky sweet woody scent that I like. Still, not a scent for me.

lmnsvgz

Elevated woody citrus scent. It smells fresh - compared to the lighter versions oof Chanel #5, the lemon isnt as sharp.

gressssie

I LOVE this scent! It's very much fresh out of the shower scent and sexy. It's a bit more on the unisex side, but I'd say it's still slightly more feminine. To me it smells like you're sitting by a lily pond and surrounded by trees. Compared to Chance Eau Tendre EDT, it's a little bit more bold and obviously not as floral or as powdery. I think both are amazing but I prefer Eau Fraiche EDT! :)

rosetinteddream

I have such an ongoing love/hate relationship with this. I’ve had two full bottles, currently have half left of one of those, a twist and spray AS WELL as the body lotion. I originally loved it when I discovered it in 2016, then I got bored by it. Smelled it on a customer one day and fell in love with it again a few years ago. And nowadays, I’m bored by it AGAIN. I’m not sure but I think from my 3ish years of collecting and trying new things, I think it’s the base. It starts off as a very promising and refreshing scent, but a patchouli base isn’t refreshing to me. Don’t get me wrong I’ve grown to be in absolute love with patchouli, especially the ways that Chanel uses it. But hmm, I think it and the teakwood make it sweeter on my skin than I would like, and maybe the water hyacinth stays adding to that feeling. After it dies down I am no longer refreshed and zingy. Instead, I feel bored. I am reminded of Gossip Girl/Lululemon/Ugg/Starbucks Frappuccino/Audi suv/and a cute but vanilla boyfriend. WASP, that’s the vibe I get. I am not trying to be offensive, I just don’t think this actually suits me like when I was younger (I, btw, am nothing like the picture I just painted). Sigh, keeping it around until it’s warm to see if my feelings change again.

Sometimes I feel delicate, and I want a clean musk to be present but with a hint of freshness, especially during the springtime; this is it. It opens with citrus and then you can smell a soft wood until it becomes a delicate (and fresh) musky scent. At least that is how it develops on my skin, and I love it! It becomes a skin scent after 3 hours, I use the hair mist to enhance it!

Edit: I can't get enough of this one. There is a soft musk that predominates on my skin that I find incredible. My journey this year has been about finding this type of musky drydown in other fragrances and I haven't been successful. I have a few bottles and decants of different types of musk (from funky to molecular) but this one has no equal in my small collection. Yes, it is inoffensive (too common for some people) but is one of those scents that leave an olfactory memory that can't be compared (it's a point of reference). Trust me on this: your romantic partner and those who get close enough to you will find it not only fresh and delicate but extremely addictive over time. In my opinion, this one has that innocent sensuality factor that only a few perfumes can truly achieve.

so_what

I was excited to thy this Chance version, as I like fresh perfumes, but this one didn't meet my expectations. It smells like strong sweet grassy cologne: too strong and grassy/woody for a female perfume, yet too sweet for a male cologne. I assume the creator was going for a unisex scent, but to me it just ends up smelling too strong and persistent and I want to get rid of this scent on my skin after a few minutes.

ieemelon

When I smelled it from the bottle it smelled so lovely and green! But then when I sprayed it on myself, it smelled so masculine and strong, but still green with some subtle florals. I feel like this version of Chance could be unisex, if I'm honest, as I feel like I'm wearing a very fresh men's perfume. Either way, I still think this is a lovely fragrance.

impressionistg

I always get back to Chance Eau Fraiche. I get a lot of compliments when I use it. And I think it is the best of all Chances. Eau Fraiche will always have my heart.

pinkalpaca

Whoa, this is definitely very green. Herbal, retro, pine-y. Dries down to a kinda masculine scent. It’s pleasant but way too masculine. I got the body mist and I’m glad I didn’t blind buy the rest of the lineup.

eneqvist

I liked this so much on paper! However, on my skin it becomes a very generic, fresh shower scent. It opens masculine, similar to a pine/ocean fresh shower gel, then it turns more soapy/floral during dry down. Like I had a shower at someone else's place and used whatever products were available. Not terrible by any means, just a lack of personality.

RavensRedd

I really like fresh perfumes but this was straight up Drakar from back in the day. I didn’t get any sort of feminine vibe at all, way further to the masculine side than just “unisex” in my opinion. Vetiver is potent! Do not like. Will be returning.

MePorro

As a man, this is one of the only fragrance i smelled on a woman and really liked. It smels fresh, expensive and uplifting. I wouldn't wear it on myself, but i can see how this is preceived as a bit unisex.

PixieDevil

I finally found a Chanel that I like, the key being there is no rose in it. It’s clean & crisp, & has this wonderful citrus candy sweetness in the top which reminds me of a lemon Starburst. The dry down becomes a luxurious bubble bath reminiscent of my childhood, but more refined & elegant. It’s bright, airy & greenish-floral, & even though I tested & purchased it in the winter, I’m hoping it will be a refreshing delight in the summer months.

After wearing this for two days, I will add that the performance is crazy for an EDT. One spray on my chest & it’s still going strong 11 hours & one shower later. It becomes stronger & sharper for me in the dry down, which is why I will forgo the wrists & neck, but I also have a very sensitive bloodhound nose, lol. Definitely getting my money’s worth with this one.

Jordan 99

One of the best citrus aquatic fresh scents, little bit too unisex. Although I love this scent, it just is weird on me, I think without pine would be better. I see some sporty, active female with slim boyish body to rock this scent. Usually those citrusy scents don’t have any personality, this one is different, give it a chance if you like this kind of perfumes. I’m glad it’s gone, wouldn’t repurchase, doesn’t fit my personality.

Shanipoo

I freaking love this one! This is citric and woody and as the name says fresh! Yes it leans almost unisex, but smells don't truly have genders. I've not seen anyone say it, but to me it's similar in the realm of CK One, but with more woods.

ellabr

I try this on so often and I need to just buy it. I love fresh scents and I struggle finding ones that last. I wear Tiffany Original EDP and Tiffany & Love quite often because they are such gorgeous scents but I've come to terms with the fact that absolutely no one can smell them on me and they have very poor lasting power. However, every time I spray this on myself, it stays for hours and the scent remains on my clothes for long after.
Lemon comes out first with this one, but it's not a sickening cleaner lemon. I don't like Light Blue because I feel the lemon smells artificial. This one is classy and fresh without being a super obvious, screaming citrus scent. The dry down is woody and slightly cologne-y. I've owned Eau Tendre EDT but I found the lasting power poor and it just isn't unique to me. This I think is my favourite of the Chances, and I think it will be one of my next purchases!!

CathyNoo

It's the only one fresh citrus scent that I truly love. Most of them give me a strong bathroom cleaner vibe. This one is completely different. Fresh, sparkling but also very classy. I love to wear it even during the winter. It's edp but last about 8 hours on my skin. Very well done fragrance.
Absolutely must have in my collection 💚

Fresh Fresh Fresh🌊🌊
Smells Expensive 💰
It's aquatic 🌊 & slighty lemony 🍋
I see many reviews describes it as a unisex perfume
Well Yes & No !
Your body chemistry will adjust that
Again it's not masculine like Davidoff cool water
Summer time perfume all the way☀️⛱️🌊
Also very suitable for office work

MichelleAA

Crisp, fresh, clean. The citrus is blended so well with Jasmine and pink pepper that the trio is its own accord. It's a bit aquatic, a bit woody. Dry down has a slight powder, gentle musk and amber. But it's not weak - it lasts for hours. It reminds me of a spring garden that is just budding, not yet thick with florals - green and new. Gorgeous nymph-like feel. If you normally don't like Chanel florals, you'll probably like this one.

katie02kat

It's a pure floral, beautiful aroma, the scent of purity is wafting, associated with a sunny summer morning, it's the only Chanel I love. At first it has a bit of masculine notes, but after half an hour it turns into a fresh floral scent on the skin and it becomes very pleasant❤️

GiulianaC

Fresh, unisex cologne-like take on Chance, which echoes in the toned down patchouli and pink pepper. Lemon and citron are the most prominent notes, giving this a "refreshing and revitalising lemonade/fruity drink" vibe. It's good, but it doesn't have the same deep emerald patchouli base note that the original has and that always makes me come back to it.
Eau Fraiche is still a nice everyday pick-me-up light fragrance. Inoffensive, always appropriate, effortless, but not very memorable. Discreet, in a gentle way.

XOXO_marcel

Gentle, soft, ultra-feminine and aquatic. Feels clean and simple like a breath of fresh air. Somewhat generic, but it's a lovely scent done well.

I'd put it in the same category as Vera Wang Princess and Marina de Bourbon's My Dynastie Princess, both of which I enjoy very much. If you like this scent but want to save a little money, I'd recommend trying one of those.

Kekekie

I absolutely love this fragrance. Bought my first bottle in 2007 and a few bottles since then. Feels very clean and invigorating. If you need a bit of a pick me up, it's great for those days. It does feel more unisex as well and less sexy for me, but I wear it to brighten and uplift myself rather then entice. I feel like it is a day fragrance also. And I wear it during the winter because it feels bright and fresh like an early spring morning.

The only negative to this scent is the fact that the White musk gives me a headache if I overspray. Everything with a bit too much musk has the same effect on me.

Adjr1087

I don't hate it, but I don't prefer it. In my opinion this leads more Unisex than feminine and kind of smells like a bathroom after showering with an Irish Spring Bar Soap. Kind of clean, refreshing smelling, but reminds me of my husband after taking a shower. I would like to smell this more in a man. I think it's kind of sexy.

Chance Eau Fraîche shares a lot of its DNA with the original Chance, but is a lighter, fresher, and more feminine version that ultimately falls flat.

Chance Eau Fraîche opens with a bright, tart citron note that veers beautifully close to a freshly picked citrons. Citron is a super fabulous note for me.

The jasmine-pink pepper accord forms the heart, harking back to the original Chance. It is like a light, fresh floral fruity here, almost aquatic but with some floral sweetness.

As it dries down, clean white musk fills in my nose, alongside some patchouli — somewhat similar to the original Chance. It feels relaxing and happy. I really enjoy the drydown phase at all. Sillage and longevity are amazing!

A fresher and Citrony version of Chance that has some nuance of the original, Chance Eau Fraîche is certainly as good as Chance and offers superior summer freshness.

Nurses04.

I find Chanel chance eau fraiche such an uplifting scent. It’s a bright and crisp citrus blast in the opening and then a strong cedar smell (which I think is why some perceive this as masculine leaning) - it settles to a musk base with a ‘green’ nuance. As I read through the reviews I understand why some say “cologne” - “cleaning product” - “air freshener” etc. it’s because of the fresh citrus and cedar (or pine) mix… but that’s exactly what makes it so refreshing and “clean”. I am surprised by how much I like this. It’s a pick me up on a misty autumn morning.

martel.308

I recently got a sample vial of Eau Fraiche; I'm really enjoying it. It smells like a good cologne. So far, I've experienced good longevity, but only moderate sillage, which suits my taste well.

I was surprised to find myself agreeing a some of the other reviews about it being much less feminine than I've come to expect from Chanel. It might be the fresh, cologne-like smell: I would consider this to be unisex.

This is a solid choice for a work scent. Fresh, clean, and woody.

Enrium

Chance Eau Fraîche shares a lot of its DNA with the original Chance, but is a lighter, fresher, less feminine version that ultimately falls flat.

CEF opens with a bright, tart lemon note that veers dangerously close to cleaning product territory. Lemon is an iffy note for me for this reason. Here, however, it is restrained enough to resemble verbena or lemongrass alongside the inspired addition of woody notes to the opening.

The jasmine-pink pepper accord forms the heart, harking back to the original Chance. It is like a light, fresh floral fruity here, almost aquatic but with some floral sweetness. It is soapy here.

As it dries down, clean white musk creeps in, alongside some patchouli - somewhat similar to the original Chance. It feels thinner and quite chemical however, with a synthetic amber accord in the drydown, subtle but cheapening it somewhat. I really don't enjoy the drydown phase at all. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

A fresher, lemony version of Chance that lacks the nuance of the original, CeF is certainly not as good as Chance, and there are countless good colognes out there that offer superior summer freshness. Buy one of Les Eaux de Chanel instead. 2/5.

natasha calli

To be frank, it actually smells like an air freshener. It is a good smells but compared to the other flankers this is actually ranked to me as the last. Good smell but it also does not last long. Good for 4-5 hours but after that you need to reapply again. A nice fragrance for teens.

hijolsi

Chance is such a common perfume I've only used it once through tester and found that while I did like it, I avoided it so I wouldn't smell like everyone else. I liked my scents to be mysterious and beautiful. I was gifted this Chance, pleasantly surprised I loved it and it smells different. Can definitely see myself using this for everyday. I really get a whiff of the pink pepper which I love! It's not spicy to the point of smelling like a kitchen. Love!

majeaux

chanel chance eau fraîche has been my signature scent for 10 years.

until recently….i’ve slowly been noticing that it smells dramatically different on me. it might be hormonal or locational changes but it smells the same on me throughout the seasons (i thought it was a seasonal issue). the only scents i get now are amber and patchouli, which are not flattering on me at all.
what gives?!

other than that, i think it’s a phenomenal perfume. i spent the first half of my 20’s requesting this perfume for birthdays and christmases, and when i couldn’t afford a bottle, i would collect samples from different sephoras, pour them into a travel spray bottle, and dilute it with water. i LOVED this perfume. other people loved this perfume on me. man, i’m upset that this smells so awful on me now. i still have half a bottle left and every time i look at it, i shed a single tear.

highly recommend if you want to smell…. you guessed it…. fresh! it’s not woody though. it does smell a little bit like cleaning products. it can be a bit bitter to some noses, sweet to others. but, like i said, all i can smell now is the amber and patchouli, so those notes are really dominant.

chlorodream

I said I’d eventually write a review for this after spending more time with my sample, so here it is.

I wore this during the 2022 heatwave. And yes, I ended up buying another sample. I couldn’t decide, basically, if I wanted this to be my signature or not.

It’s SO good. It’s perfectly fresh-feminine. Girls that don’t want to smell too “girly”. Girls that don’t want to smell too “perfumey”. Decidedly not masculine but not your traditional feminine. In my last review I mentioned that lemon verbena quality to it, which must be the use of cedar as a top-note. It’s so classy, fresh, sexy and self assured.

However, I decided against it as a signature in the end. Despite how much I adore the scent, there is something linear and slightly cold about it. This works beautifully well in the summer, but at any other time of the year, especially here in the UK rain, I couldn’t wear it. It suits the French chic girl. It is beautiful, demure, controlled, classy.

That girl is not me. Chance Eau Fraiche is not generous or bombastic, it’s restrained and pretty. I have possible undiagnosed ADHD and I often feel I am bursting at the seams. I need something giving and comforting. This is aloof and sexy and oh so good, but I cannot cosy up in it.

If you’re not bothered by any of that, my God is it a safe blind buy. It’ll always be on my “love” list.

jklovesperfumes

This one smells tooooo sweet for me, will give you or someone near a headache if you over sprayed… I don’t smell wood here. no woody on the dry down. the overpowering smell may annoy others, could be irritating in the hot summer days even If a lot people says it is suit for summer. Day time use I guess will be fine… I use mine when I’d go for long walks outside, ride subway in not so busy time, and distant to people. me time, and doing errands not in rush hour. I wouldn’t wear this If I’ll drive or ride the car with my family… they would always say I sprayed too much even if its just one full push on my neck. Too strong of a sweet, sweet scent. Oh, and I agree that it can be a men perfume too.

Simply_Cherelle

One of my favorites! It’s a fresh clean scent that is not overpowering and lasts pretty long. It also layers well.

onlythesun321

Reminds me of Replica Under the Lemon Trees, which is one of my favorite scents. It's a little sweeter and brighter, though-- I'll have to compare them side by side.

HoneyRum

A fantastic freshie, one of my favorites for sure, and I definitely prefer it over other popular freshies like light blue. Longevity is great on me 10+ hrs if I’m not sweating a lot, around 6 if I am.
This isn’t a fragrance you wear to smell unique or to grab attention, it’s one that you wear when you just want to smell good to yourself and those around you. It’s a staple for me.

didsthecat

This is my mum’s favourite perfume. It has always made me feel sick when I wear it though. I’m probably a bit biased as I’m much more for sweet, fruity, and musky smells.

chlorodream

I’m going to spend a little more time with the tester before I fully review this one, but my first impression is that I’m incredibly surprised lemon verbena isn’t listed among the notes here. The first whiff sang of it on my skin.

abbieclark67

Such a freshy and clean perfume and I love it

MaggieCindy

Perfect for spring and summer, no other could replace this from the moment I tried it many years ago. Energizing, confidence booster, ultimately fresh and clean, motivating. Unchanged unlike many other of my favourite fragrances.

DT953

Deceptively long lasting. However, this doesn't make up for how uninteresting it is. As LizDee007 mentions, it's extremely unisex. It's nice, that's undeniable. I'd probably buy it if it wasn't over $100. $99.99? That's another story :')

I think it may be growing on me.

LizDee007

This is clean, fresh and great for spring/summer. It’s also very unisex to me, but still a very pretty and fresh scent.

yeesa_

Fresh great for summer. However it leans pretty masculine to my nose and tends to give me a headache. I wish I could wear it

AutumnJewel

Note For Myself: Fresh but nothing special

astridkh3

Picked this up yesterday after wearing it on my clothes once and smelling it on tester strips multiple times. It’s the only Chanel perfume I’ve ever really enjoyed so I was excited to own it. However this smells so so so different on dry down when I wear it. All citrus disappears almost immediately, as well as most green notes, and I’m just left with a slightly floral, white musk/wood. This seems to be a trend with Chanel perfumes in my experience (drastic changes on skin. Never had another brand react to my skin in such a way). Overall it starts out as a very nice lemony green scent with Cedar which I love. As somebody who doesn’t usually lean towards fresh or floral scents, I can say this is a solid freshie. Just beware that it smells insanely different after 30 minutes on the skin.

Dorothy812

I love it. So fresh, and yet there is the slightest old wood undertone, giving it a more realistic quality and accentuating the freshness. It is green and refreshing, like making a cold lemonade in a field of freshly cut grass, under the shade of an old tree.

Got a full bottle after finishing my sample cos I couldn’t bear to be without it. What I didn’t expect is just how pretty the bottle is! It’s very simple but it also isn’t. The glass is beautiful and watching the green liquid slosh around in it is mesmerizing.

blueflower1234

I absolutely love this fragrance! From opening to dry down, the citrus is bright but not harsh. Paired with the woody dry down, it makes such an addicting combination. I think this fragrance is very versatile and can be worn in many settings. Definitely unisex imo. I was very surprised at the long wear time since 'fresh' fragrances do not tend to last.

Sierra_b

This hands down is the beeest fresh perfume eveeeer 💖

ekowala7

This is the summer perfume for the girlies that don't like fresh, fruity florals. Chanel has a timeless elegance and natural class to it, that gives the wearer an effortlessly beautiful vibe.
This is primarily woody, I agree, with the classiest, freshest citrus blast. This smells like the most expensive citrus cocktail, sipped on a patio with a light breeze on a warm summer day.
I can see that this may be too woody, read masculine leaning, for some women. There is a certain confidence needed to wear this. However, if you like more woody, even unisex, fragrances, I think you need to smell this.
My favourite part of this fragrance is that it dries down to a beautiful crisp end and doesn't become anything it isn't while drying down. The citrus also never becomes cloying.

Longevity is moderate, as is common with a fresh summer scent. Silage is arm's length for several hours.

Overall 8.5/10, a summer staple for me.

Ryn08

Very green, floral & woody scent. Gave it a try because that was the only Chanel chance that was available in the corporate promotion. I didn’t regret buying it. Longevity wise, Lasted very long on me about 6-8 hours.. It will be a safe choice for gifts..

karinatfragrantica

One of my best summer fragrances - fresh, uplifting, classy, elegant. Perfect combination of lemon with woody notes. BUT very poor performance on me. I don't understand it because many people rave about its longevity and describe the projection as decent. How can the experiences be so totally different? Different batches?
I do not in general mind fragrances with weaker projection and longevity (sometimes I even prefer it that way, depending on the social setting and my plans for the day ) but then it should be reflected in the price.

Lena S

Bought a 100 ml bottle with a good discount a few years ago, wore it sporadically at home and sometimes to work and, I'm ashamed to admit, used around half of it as an air freshener. In spite of the fact that the scent itself is GREAT and absolutely my cup of tea, almost signature worthy, I would say. The problem is, on my skin, this Chance is a true "eau fraiche" - virtually no longevity or projection to speak of, I had to apply liberally every couple of hours, and even then it was just a skin scent, according to myself and those around me. Maybe it's a personal chemistry thing.

Now, about the scent itself: I read predominantly lemon (beautifully natural and pleasant!) and cool, refreshing woody notes. It's relaxed and uncomplicated enough for casual summer wear, but it also has some real class and sophistication that puts it on another level compared to other stereotypically summery fragrances. I really like it how it combines those slightly unisex vibes with being distinctly feminine (at least when worn by a woman).

That's it in a nutshell, I wish I'd got to know it better than I did, but, unfortunately, the performance issues were a real deal breaker for me with this one. It seems that a lot of other reviewers on here have been able to get more out of it, so I say go ahead and try it, it's well worth it if it works on your skin.

mrshnchnkm

Unisex lemon and cedar on an amber base. I prefer citrus fragrances in the summer and this is one of my favorites. There is nothing unique in it, but I am glad that although the flowers are present in the pyramid, they do not interrupt the lemon and cedar and the perfume does not become too floral.

Atomikbomb_

This is very pretty, but lighter and a little less inspired than the price tag deserves, in my opinion. Still, I appreciate it more than eau Tendre, because it smells more naturalistic and artful.

I would call this "artisinal" in it's character, and it incorporates classic notes (hyacinth is very oldschool), with Chanel's iconically polite patchouli. The lemon is brisk and refreshing in the opening, and it's an energizing, casual, but elevated refresher for hot days. I don't smell much in the way of pepper, and wish I did, I think it would deliver some extra dimension here.

This manages to linger on skin longer than many current fresh fragrances, but it doesn't project much (sometimes people are looking for that type of performance). I appreciate the unisex dry down, and I absolutely think either gender could wear this comfortably (but I'm an advocate for wearing whatever you like anyway). It's only minimally musky, and far from a bomb, but it has a touch of very fresh, very clean musk.

It's classic, classy, and easy to understand. I enjoy it, but it doesn't blow me away.

HER30

The Chanel "Chance" fragrances, to me, are simple, clean, innocent, Spring/Summer daytime fragrances.

Chance Eau Vive is grapefruity, uplifting and a touch powdery. It's my favorite.

Chance Eau Fraiche (this one) is a bit less sweet than Eau Vive - I get a lot of lemon, white floral/jasmine and the powdery note at the bottom. It's definitely a sister to Eau Vive - and choosing between them mostly depends if you like grapefruit or lemon better (although Eau Fraiche is strongly white floral too). They're both fresh uncomplicated pick-me-up sort of sprays, and not too "young" smelling.

Chance Eau Tendre, on the other hand, was way too cake-y sweet for me and felt very young. It was pleasant but smelled to me better for a teenager than a woman. It is not as citrus-y as Eau Vive and Eau Fraiche.

Ferra_Verto

The best of the Chanel Chance line! Very crisp and almost green lemon (feels a lot like lime) with very natural florals on a woody musk base.
Wonderful for the warmer months, feels clean and revitalizing.
Moderate sillage, lasts around 5 hrs, very skin-scent, but wraps around the body in a lovely cocoon.

Jewelsinme

Purchased this today after smelling it multiple times and getting a sample. If you get the 5oz bottle the price is much better.

My previous scent was light blue so I understand how this is compared, though it is completely different.

I've never had a chanel that I've liked before. It is currently my favorite scent. I don't like strong florals, strong sweet smells. I don't like old-lady smells. It is so hard to find a fragrance that is not super sweet or so many flowers!!

I actually brought in a lemon grass sage spray I'd had since I was 18 to the store with me the first time I smelled it. I'm in my late 30s. I wanted something different than all the other perfumes I've had and I've had a ton. That body spray has moved with me so many times over my life and I didn't use it except to recall those days.

A woman behind the counter took me all over the store in search. This was the closest. I wasn't in love at first because it still smells like an expensive perfume. In the way that it is slightly generic. However, after getting the sample, I forgot about it for about a year and just found it a month ago. Fell completely in love with it. It got better each time I sprayed it.

My biggest con is if I'm wearing sleeves, it rubs off the skin quickly. It fades quicker than I would like at the price. But I'll be happy to spray it all day.

My fiancee LOVES it and passionately embraces me wherever I spray it ha.

It feels like mine and I don't recall smelling it on others before so it feels unique even though it's been around a while.

lyka

rea.cb

I'm happy I bought this. It smells so clean, like fresh green leaves and flowers. I find that most floral perfumes don't smell like actual flowers, but this smells like real plants. This is great for spring and summer since it's very refreshing and I think it would be great in hot weather. I also think it's rather unisex (but slightly feminine leaning) so it's great for everyone. I think it suits all ages as well. If you're looking for a clean, fresh, inoffensive scent that is appropriate for any occasion, I would recommend this. One personal complaint that I have is, as someone who is very sensitive to smells, this can make me feel a bit sick sometimes because of how strongly "green" it is. But I think that's just me. I wish it smelled a little less green.

KabukiSummer

If I were blindfolded and asked where are you? I would inhale and respond, "in a cathedral, or grand library." If a leather bound Gutenberg bible could have a scent, this is how I imagine it would smell.
I would wear this on a day to the museum,

kerriashleyc

Perfect for a young woman or teenager (all I wore as a teen) it’s fresh, clean and just sophisticated enough. Great performance in hot weather and the dry down keeps you engaged, the citrus fades and as it gets creamier and closer to the skin it develops a lotion like smell with a hint of white soap. Not the most appealing description but 😂🤷🏾♀️But so so nice in person. If you like mens scents but are scared to try them out its a definite recommendation, not masculine per say but definitely not the usual floral/rose/sugar things that are peddled to women.

MonicaCloud

Finally, a fresh perfume where the notes smell very natural. Makes me feel like I'm walking through a forest picking jasmines. The opening starts out woody and citrusy, then it develops into woody white florals in the dry-down. Such a refreshing, elegant scent. Can't get enough of it.

fragrancechamp

Now this is a game changer. It’s a wake up, spray, and feel prepared to tackle anything that comes your way kind of fragrance. A mood-lifting fragrance. It’s a cold, cold glass of homemade lemonade on a summers day. It’s sitting under an umbrella on the sun lounger to stay out of the sun, as you hear the sounds of the ocean in the background.

This just makes me happy. Longevity is surprisingly good for an EDT. I get a good 6 hours and it decently projects too. It’s perfectly unisex and feels so clean. More of a daytime bbq or summer cocktails in an outdoor cocktail venue.

I can’t wait for it to get warmer so I can pair this with my summer attire and shades.

georgee

This is stunning. I never picked up Chanel scents as they seem really mature and floral. This has it’s class, but to me this feels like air. Like a deep breath that makes the time slow down. It’s fresh, citrusy, slightly woody. Magic! And for such notes this lasts like a tattoo! Powerful ;)

joo100

레몬과 시더우드가 전반적이고 패츌리가 밑에 깔려있어서 중성적임.

Gabija_me

I love the scent. However, the performance is weak. I believe, it’s really overpriced for it’s performance.
The scent is fabulous - citrusy, fresh, clean. What else can we ask for a summer perfume.
If price would be lower, I would definitely buy it again.

KatelynMLovesPerfume

When I was getting into Chanel fragrance more I was desperately trying to buy the Eau Tendre version and ordered this one instead LOL. However, this perfume is more like boss lady/professional vibes than Eau Tendre. I definitely smell the woody cedar and the citrus notes the most. This lasts ok but I have cheaper perfumes in my collection that last longer. I love the smell but I don't think I'll repurchase I want the Eau Tendre next.

nruthh

My signature fragrance is Chance EDP (NOT the EDT). I own a bottle of this and also eau Tendre.

This is Chance EDP's summer frag. She's got big sunglasses and an Hermes scarf tied around her hair. Or maybe she's at the tennis club in her new lululemon tennis skirt. Or maybe it's the day after she ran a half marathon and she's dropping off her kid at soccer practice. You see? She's put together, sporty, bougie but approachable. She's aspirational, she's on top of her shit. That's the vibe.

In terms of notes, the lemon comes out a bit strong, but it fades pretty quickly into the background. The cedar and water hyacinth really play on my skin for quite some time, and the patchouli in the dry-drown is light, not heavy or dirty in any way, and it lasts for hours that way. It's an easy dumb reach in the warmer months and is the perfect complement to Chance when Chance is just a bit too heavy. Very very happy to have this in my collection.

broro117

My favorite (and really only) freshie! So refreshing and uplifting, like taking a cool shower after a hard workout. Also has impressive lasting power for a fragrance like this.

Something about this makes me think of the girls from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants--and trust me, that's a compliment. If this were a song, it'd be something like Brighter than Sunshine by Aqualung or Rock & Roll by Eric Hutchinson.

To get more specific, this reminds me of being a kid in the early '00s and going over to visit one of my parents' friends in their newly-built home. Everything still smells fresh and new, and I'm playing with their kids in the driveway or backyard. Later, our hair still wet from the sprinkler or Slip 'N Slide, we'll run inside to get popsicles.

Rosieko

Ive been searching for the perfect signature scent and this one was sooo close. But it’s just too sweet and warm. A bit too stringent and citrusy as well. luckily, I was able to find Wild Bluebell (jo Malone) which was everything I was looking for :)

AriaLennon

Floral and fresh fragrance that is truly lovable. This is mostly wearable in summer, spring, and hot days. I tend to get many compliments wearing this beautiful fragrance. To me, it is a timeless scent with the opening notes Lemon, Cedar and Citron; middle notes are Water Hyacinth, Pink Pepper and Jasmine; base notes are Patchouli, White Musk, Vetiver, Teak Wood, iris and Amber. There is a freshness with the hit of lemon which you get on first spray and in my opinion it makes it more unisex, but the drydown on my skin is jasmine and hyacinth and a sweeter, softer, more sherbet-lemon that's very feminine to me. Light, fresh and amazing. Stunning!

tatVC

Fresh scent perfect for spring, best fragrance of the “Chance” series

scentnut

This is the “CK One” of today. Fresh, unisex, clean, and damn good. A dear coworker gifted her old bottle to me (I suspect it is pre-formulation) and it completed my Chance collection. The water hyacinth stands out as the most unique note and is absolutely lovely. To my nose it is most similar to Chance EDT but it is it’s own scent and very worthy of purchasing. It is a breath of fresh air and perfect for the early spring seasonal transition. It’s just a whole (happy) mood.

churinl

There's a Chance for everyone, and eau Fraiche is mine. For me it's hard to define why. Perhaps it's due to the fact that everything seems so balanced in the composition. While I see that most people detect lemon and cedar the strongest, there's nothing tart or acidic from the lemon on my skin, and the cedar just provides part of a lovely base. While I have a vague awareness that this is a citrus fragrance, it's so unobtrusive and well blended that to me it's just one piece of a whole.
The florals add a sweetness, and if I focus really hard, I get the jasmine, which evokes orange blossom more than jasmine on my skin. In fact, I was actually surprised to see that orange blossom isn't present at all. It really reminds me of Lancome Ô de L'orangerie, though more refined.
Performance is as one would expect from an EDT, perhaps a little better. Right now, we're approaching the middle of March, and I am so looking forward to the Spring and Summer to see how it performs in the warm weather. My guess is that it will only get better!

theblackandblueone

As fresh as it gets. Fresh out of the shower vibes. A bit generic, but harmless. Very much unisex IMO.

Juliennne

My love at first sniff🥰 I can’t wait to repurchase a full bottle.

MyAlabasterJar

Best freshie. Period. Must have in any collection.

StacyJames

This is my wife bottle, but I wear it from time to time during the spring and summer. Nice Citrus and Floral! People tell me I smell good when I do borrow it from her at my job.

Poudery

Nice fresh fragrance for the day. The citrus notes last really long compared to many other scents. There is no sharpness to Chance Eau Fraîche, which I appreciate a lot. It is a rather creamy scent, quite complex, but not heavy. Inoffensive, pleasant and recognizable. I'd wear this all year round, whenever I'm in the mood, but imagine it to enhance a springtime or summery air.

jan.caddy

A great gym fragrance. The citrus notes leave me smelling fresh all day. It honestly lasts much longer than I expected, especially compared to the longevity of Eau Tendre. This is my favorite among the Chanel Chance lineup!

malikun

Very fresh scent, my mom used to have it when I was in high school. However, everyone said I smelled like cucumbers lol. But I still liked it.

ibralemmi

suchhhhh a mouthwatering citrusy scent. its not gourmand of course, but it is extremely mouthwatering. u wanna bite into it. feel like maybe on me id like it more in summer (im a woman). would LOVE and DO love it on a man, in cold weathers (havent tried in hot weathers on anyone so cant make a comment)

aspirina

Cedar and citrus notes are very prominent. This scent is very clean, fresh and elegant. Unfortunately it leans masculine on my skin. To the point that it seems the little sister of Dior' Sauvage, that I just bought for my husband!
I guess now we can smell about the same :(

perfumedpathologist

This is what I reach for when I want (or need!) to smell like a boss. Chanel never disappoints in that realm. For me this is the perfect combination of citrus (see top notes), pink pepper, cedar, & vetiver. The patchouli makes it more "skin wearable" and doesn't really declare itself loudly, at least to my nose. Immediate scent is more citrus and pink pepper, whereas the cedar and other notes come forward in the dry down. Overall, one of my absolute favorites!

Crystalita76

Very nice fragrance.
Extremely similar to the original Chance and the Vive.
This one has a bit of green notes in it but is too similar to the original version to buy a bottle.
I love the Chanel Chance line.
All of them are very well blended.
I just wish the longevity was better.
4-6 hours tops with all of them.
I really was hoping to smell more teakwood in this but I get very little in this scent.
Overall great fragrance and all of the Chance line I’d say are work appropriate and great for just about any occasion.
Very fresh and clean.
Not as Iris dominated as the original Chance.
But definitely classic 👌🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

cheruccina

one of my first perfumes, one i "borrowed" (stole) from my mother's unused collection. i suspect my bottle has aged poorly since it had been sitting untouched in the bathroom for as long as I can remember, and has a clear almost-yellow-ish tint to it, so I can't comment on the notes. however- I adore this perfume. i am not one for feminine fragrances, yet this is one of frequent go-tos when I want to smell nice but not overpowering. it's clean, fresh, and enticing. somebody once referred to it as smelling like "clean, expensive, laundry" and i absolutely agree.
definitely a summer/daytime fragrance (which is also not something I tend to gravitate towards and yet!)
can't get enough of this perfume. sometimes I'll catch myself trying to smell myself throughout the day, it's just that good!!

eau de dosa

Green, fresh and crisp! Quite unisex however I don’t mind it! I love its versatility and freshness! I get the citrus right after a couple of minutes. The dry down on me is the pepper, floral notes and a little powdery wood. This is good for people who are new to perfumes and ready to go a bit stronger lol

rosetinteddream

I left a review on this a few months ago, deeming it disappointing after I initially fell in love with it and then bought the bottle only for it to not smell exactly like the tester.

I smelled it recently on a customer while I was serving, and fell for it again.

I bought both a 100 ml, and the travel spray (both off of eBay and Mercari to save some). I think the bottle I originally got may have been stored somewhere warm and it was affected and changed slightly. Because what I have now is what I fell in love with at the perfume counter over two years ago.

This starts off with a blast of citrus and wood, and within seconds I get hints of the flowers and pepper. Really this, like all Chanel fragrances IMO, is very well blended so the notes come together more as opposed to coming out in singular wafts of each one. But as it dries down I get a nice mix of citrus, floral, pepper, wood, and musk. I definitely can detect the iris, as I love iris in fragrances, the amber (it really gives it some depth and nuance), and the teakwood (knew lots of folks who used mall perfumes such as Hollister, Abercrombie, Banana Republic pre 2010 - this doesn’t come off like those scents). Those notes are what I find responsible for the “powder” that people are smelling towards the end of the dry down. I find that the powder aromas that come from green fragrances to be the best powder notes (just my opinion).

Perhaps it’s the pepper, or something else, but I got a slight whiff of something that reminded me of Bleu. Maybe it’s just the new modern Chanel DNA, I guess I’m used to the older ones cause I grew up around folks who wore them.

As many have said, this leans more unisex if that is a concern. I wear whatever I want, and this is a fresh and green (my fav) scent that I find both invigorating, while also soothing. Like, I feel more confident and energized to do whatever needs to be done...but I don’t feel anxious. Collected and focused, and operating at a higher frequency.

So I recant my earlier review. This may not have incredible lasting power like most green or fresh scents, but my skin eats them up anyways, so I spray it on my clothes and it lasts for hours! We experienced a warm December day today, and I walked to the grocery to grab some things. On my way back I got sweaty with my jacket on, and it reawakened Chance Eau Fraiche. I almost put my groceries down in the street so I could hold and smell my shirt! 😂

Wow! Unbelievable. This crazy sassy daughter of original Chance is the most surprising one. As Chance seems to always be tho, I would say that first sniff is definitely not what this scent is later on. I dare to say that this is my second favo after Chance EDP one. IMHO after chance ETD, this version does have the original Chance smellable DNA the most. Far before Eau Vive and Eau Tendre. Additionally I see this one as this more "it" more free spirit "no one is going to tell what to do" daughter, Chance EDT is amazing but listens to mama and is following Chanel Chance EDP path ( even though I know that EDT was first, I mean more EDP is creme de la creme, EDT additional fruity fresh fun). Eau Fraiche is a rebel beauty on high heels. Prep style, spoiled but the way we still love it. I'm in love.

sondermelon

A very fresh and watery citrus that cooled down into a very watery wood/amber smell. Energizing, but not very loud, and went from faintly moderate sillage to intimate sillage. I got this as a sample, and I think this is something I will try to get a bigger bottle of. Scent wears on me as other reviewers have described, though I'm not catching much iris. It does get a bit powdery at the end for me, maybe that's the iris? I'd like to see how this smells on me in spring.

Daniela_Beatriz

This is a signature of my best friend, I have always loved it - but never bought it because it was “hers”, although she never minded to share the same fragrance. Now I live in another country and only see her once a year - I bought me a bottle to enjoy when I am away and it always bring me a warm memory :)

gls512

I adore this perfume! It smells zesty and flowery and very fresh on me. I usually only like floral scents but the lemon added to this gives it a very unique smell. It lasted for a decent amount of time as well.

Abry_81

I have never been a follower of Chanel fragrances because most of the ones I have tried I do not identify with their smell, of the few that I enjoy is the Bleu line that I like all, some of the Allure, although the male ones last 20 minutes and Coco Mademoiselle, which was and is a very relevant fragrance and a strong hook for the young public at the beginning of the century, without a doubt after the success of the latter they followed that path with the Chance line and its playful and youthful campaigns, Chance always turned out to me a perfume with too many similarities to Coco Mademoiselle to be frank, but this flanker "eau fraiche" is far removed to the point of not resembling, except for the notes of patchouli, pink pepper and jasmine, but here they are conjugated in another way.
This perfume is a purely woody-citric fragrance in which lemon and cedar are the main protagonists, the latter being a fundamental part of the structure of the fragrance and feeling present throughout its duration we add a juicy and fresh jasmine more focused on Its green part, together with a very measured patchouli, slightly sweet due to the pink pepper and transparently musky, the water hyacinth gives it a very clean soapy floral character which, together with the vetiver note, accentuates the fresh woody and surprisingly unisex character of this fragrance.
Ideal for summer with a correct duration but that cooler days become more noticeable and lasts much longer since the temperatures are not very suffocating another fragrance that I add to the few that I enjoy of the house.

Megajones

Like a lighter and more airy version of Chanel Chance with every bit of the beauty and balance. It’s citrus-y, but not in a way that makes your nose think “ah! A lemon!” Since its neither spicy or musky, it would work great for warm spring days and summer. The tone is sophisticated and bright, perfect for a quick spray when you’re off to nice brunch and the farmer’s market after. It’s unisex while pulling a little more feminine and I think it would be liked by a wide variety of ages.

Itaillon

Beautifully done. Zesty and floral. Today I am wearing the oh-so-expensive Creed Jardin d’Amalfi (a recent purchase) and I couldn’t believe how much it reminded me of Chance Eau Fraiche. So I went ahead and sprayed Eau Fraiche on one of my arms to compare. Not identical, but quite similar to Creed Jardin d’Amalfi and just as beautiful!! It’s a testament to the quality and how well crafted Chance Eau Fraiche really is. I am falling back in love with it ❤️

whimsyandhoney

This fragrance smells so much like the Hollister store, at least how it used to smell back in the day (I have not been there in a long time, lol). I used to work there and the scent haunts me, so maybe I am more biased toward the association. My fiancé also used to work there, so I was quick to ask him what the scent reminded him of. This was his instant response too!

Efragrantica

Lovely, beautiful, fresh purfume. I love to wear it casually on sunny and hot days. I wore to the shops the other day and a random followed me to ask me what purfume I was wearing as she said I smelled divine. She ended up looking it up on her phone. I said to her, you can never do any wrong with Chanel! :)

aqua76239

I tried it years before when I was on the hunt for citrus scent. This has typical Chanel DNA aka patchouli with florals but this one essentially a green version. Its very citrusy but it has enough florals to make it interesting and patchouli gives it that "something" special which is present throughout all the unfolding of the notes and it also makes this scent very unisex imo. Lot of times when I wore it and then walked into a room I thought someone passed by wearing men's cologne and I don't mean it in a bad way.
I bought it a month ago when I was going on a trip and I wore it throughout traveling. I don't find it projects that well but if you spray it on your clothes, people WILL smell it. When I landed after 5 hour long trip, my mom told me right away she liked whatever perfume I was wearing(and I didn't spray it while on the plane). I think that if you want unisex scent thats appropriate for all occasions, this can't be beat

SissySuzanne

This is Beautiful and clean smelling. Reminds me of Karl Lagerfeld for her.

Coco888

It’s a beautiful fragrance , probably the only green , light fragrance that my body oils like , however it’s not as potent and I can’t smell myself and that’s no good , I love perfumes I can smell on myself that’s the whole point and it’s a cherry on top of someone else appreciates the smell. I wear perfumes for me and this one is almost silly to spend a pretty penny on because it does not last❤️

Morealzz

Ahhhh….super fresh and clean. Safe unisex scent. The color of the juice is satisfying. If you like clean straight forward scents…this is for you!

MelanieSP

The opening of this fragrance gives me lemon house cleaner vibes but after a few minutes in the dry down is where that Chanel DNA really shines through and makes this such a sophisticated fresh fragrance option for the spring and summer.

Sunkissed

I am a big fan of the original Chance and was curious to try this green coloured version. I always say I'm not a big fan of citrus, but that seems to be changing. This is Chanel's Light Blue. Bright and happy. Sweet, but not cloying. Classy. It's perfect for summer, but it would be a good spring and early fall scent. I don't think it would work very well in cold weather. I also smelled something fruity that doesn't show up in the notes here.

A single spray lasted several hours on my wrist though the sillage is very low. Finally the negative, which is very personal in my case: my husband seems to be allergic to it. We were on vacation going in and out of shops when I tried it and I'm not sure it the culprit was really this perfume, so I'll have to retest it before making a commitment. As of right now it's not a must have as I thought it would be.

adelaidesandrina

Chance EDT was my aunt’s signature scent, and i grew up smelling wafts of it everywhere i go.

Truly, Chance is one of the most beautiful scent in the world. Something about it’s simplicity is just alluring. It’s an arrogant perfume, and whenever you wear it you’ll immediately feel like you’re on top of the world.

I wanted to get myself a bottle now, but i don’t want to get the same one she’s wearing. I want to have my own scent.. if that makes sense. So I got Eau Fraiche, because it appeals to me the most.

Surprisingly i LOVE Eau Fraiche more than any of the Chance flankers. To me this smells like if Gypsy Water & Chance EDT had a baby. I expected it to be more green, but luckily for me it isn’t. The green is there but it’s not the most prominent note. The lemon & wood are the ones that shines the most.

I agree with reviewers that says that this smells like a forest after the rain. This is something a forest fairy would wear! 🧚♂️

Emera1d

Fresh sweet citrus. Reminds me of cleaning spray. Don't understand the hype, but get that a clean fresh smell is well appreciated.

SniffingAddict

Smells like the top notes of Gabrielle intense without Gabrielle’s creamy base. Fresh and floral.

Hammyt100

This is a dream of a freshie. I don't have anything like it, it almost gives off a light cologne vibe. This one is perfect for hot weather, and feels a bit more classy than my light blue intense that is also a LOVE of a fresh scent.

Edit: you know what? It's fall now, and cooler outside. I feel like this has just bloomed on me. It's giving more fresh sweet than fresh citrus and I'm head over heals for it!

I see a lot of people having issue with the performance, but i don't feel it's that bad. This is one my boys choose to wear often, and I'll give them a spray or two in the morning, and I can still smell it on them at the end of the day.
Sillage is not very big, but I also don't really over spray. This definitely could be a big performer if over sprayed, but I like the subtleness of it when sprayed in moderation.

Lolaw

I have a tester of this and was suprised at how much I like it. I tend to stay clear of musky scents. This one initially smelt fresh and woody on me, you can definitely smell the freshness of the citrus, then I got the Jasmine floral note, the dry down definitely became muskier, but more like a woody musk, mixed with warm amber, pleasant not cloying. I'm going to wear it a few more times, I don't really have another perfume like it, so hoping to add to my collection.

Weby007

Silage is not too good and does not last on the skin long. Can definitely smell the woody notes, but a little too sour for my liking. If you are into your woody/citrus notes I can see how people will like it. Shame about silage though.

Jaeyoung07

Drydown is sooooo good I can’t get enough of it… Starting scent is a tinge too strong for me though - it’s like some green scent exploded right in front of your face. Sillage is okay, but longevity isn’t good - barely one hour after I sprayed it the scent’s almost gone. Thinking of repurchasing it but not sure if it’s great to wear during the cold months.

kiaoi

Fresh, green, young. I am writing this review after I sprayed this perfume on my wrists a few hours ago. It opens up with a splash of citrus, not my favorite note or at least it has a citrus that I don’t like so I ruled this out as becoming part of my collection. I think it’s a young perfume that a young girl would enjoy. That cedar note gives it a bit of masculine vibe, making it a unisex fragrance, in my opinion. The middle notes are soapy, I can definitely sense the hyacinth, which I like. On my skin, between the base notes, the iris and patchouli are the predominant notes. Here you have vetiver as well, maintaining the masculine thread. Adding this review and my opinion for anyone interested in a fresh, soapy and unisex perfume.

akviliukas

Lovely fresh summer scent. Smells sweet and citrusy.

violxttx

Very nice, fresh opening scent. Just like the bottle, the scent really screams ‘green’.

Inoffensive for interview & office. I feel like its unisex on me but husband loves it :)

Azisai-

Eau Fraiche is stunning, soft and soapy lemon opening note followed by a sturdy, but fresh wood drydown. It's very refreshing and even comforting, like taking a shower after a long shift and laying down on freshly dried laundry.

All of the Chance flankers are classy (duh, it's CHANEL), and are unoffensive, no doubt about it. However, this one stands out to me the most because it's both sporty and soft which I feel is juxtaposition. Never overpowering, but rather flattering. Which actually brings me to the only flaw I find in it, being that it doesn't last at all. I'd say it lasts about half an hour on me if I spray 5 times. If I spray 10 or more times it lasts just a bit longer, but it completely disappears within 1-1 1/2 hours.

I'm not sure if I'd buy a full bottle of this. It's not a necessity to be heard (or smelled) all the time, but I still feel like I'd be more comfortable if it had a longer lasting power or wasn't strictly a skin scent. Otherwise, I think the composition of the juice is perfect.

Anitanita.

In love with this one.On my 2nd bottle and will re-purchase it forever .It's so fresh, elegant and good for every occasion. Quality scream Chanel ,longevity is amazing 7+ hours.Everytime I wear Chance eau fraiche I get endless compliments ,I even had people sniffing me lol

fragileangel

I swore up and down I would never wear chanel because most of their scents that I’ve smelled have leaned very “trying to smell like a rich white mom”.

But I will admit I was surprised to fall in love with this at the Macy’s counter when I was looking for a nice bright citrus scent. I kept sniffing between this and D&G light blue, the way chance eau fraiche developed on the paper strip had me with a strong grip.

It smells really lovely on hot days and the immediate hit of bright fresh lemon and citrus immediately lifts my mood. The way it mellows out on my skin with the vetiver and light musk is also quite lovely. Personally I don’t smell patchouli, which I’m greatful for as it’s not my favorite.

When I find myself tied up between which frag I want to wear on a hot day, this always comes out on top as the winner. It’s not even my favorite currently owned perfume, it’s just so perfectly innoffensive, light, and has yet to disappoint me. Lasts a decent 6 ish hours on me but most of my frags tend to stick fairly well to my skin anyway.

vulgarsaint

I'd like to begin this review by saying I absolutely, wholeheartedly despise Chanel fragrances. While they are sophisticated and classic, I find them to be rather outdated and headache inducing. As a Weheartit/Tumblr preteen I've seen Chance a lot, Eau Tendre to be exact and I hated that one as well. Well the other day I recieved a package with what was supposed to be the last bottle of perfume I'll buy this year (it's Libre Intense, iykyk) and a sample of this severely underrated gem was in there.

After not liking the other Chance fragrances I didn't even think about trying Eau Fraiche (at 13 my reasoning behind it was "it's green so it can't smell better than the pink one anyway") and God was I missing out. I was completely surprised by it being 100% unisex. I also did not expect it to smell so fresh, clean and modern.

Eau Fraiche is exceptionally well blended. One of my biggest issues with these fresh scents is that they're usually very heavy on the citrus, which makes them smell like a cleaning supply to my nose (here's looking at you, Light Blue). The citrusy opening in this one however, haromonises beautifully with the woody notes, making it fresh without it smelling like Windex. The vetiver in the drydown gives it a bit of a masculine tone - just enough to make it unisex. Think Bal d'Afrique vibes, but with the iconic Chanel sophistication. It's also one of the very rare cases where patchouli doesn't make me nauseaus and doesn't trigger my migraines.

I'd say it sits pretty close to the skin, but it's one of those fragrances that just aren't supposed to be loud and head turning by nature. It'd be great for offices and everyday wear. The longevity was pretty good for an EDT, around 4 hours.

I suppose there goes my plan to make Libre Intense my last purchase of 2021...

Sannesans

I love it! First spray is really fresh, and maybe too fresh for me as I am not sporty, but it develops so nicely.
It’s really great in hot summer weather.
The drydown is fantastic on this one. I gave it to my daughter and it is great on her. Every now and then that freshness of eau Fraiche is impeccable!

denimherb

Female version of Chanel Allure Homme Sport.

TheBeak

I love the fresh greenness of this fragrance, but when it dries down, less so. Something about the iris/amber combo, maybe.

Zombie Apocalypse

Possibly the best fresh/green fragrance I have ever smelled. Literally!! Masterfully blended.

nyteshade

The only Chanel I ever loved. Very different from the others in the line, and just anything Chanel in general. To all patchouli haters, have no fear, this one is well blended. Bright green floral woodsy freshness!

MMB007

Smells like citrus and woods leaning masculine due to the vetivert. Very effortless but definitely smells expensive.
Makes me think of luxury spa retreats and an elegant socialite in her large sunglasses and huge white straw hat, soaking the sun on a St Tropez terrace.
Men (not boys) love it! If you can't afford a French Riviera holiday, indulge in this olfactory escape. Simple but special.

Katie <3

This is beautiful and fresh. Smells classy and clean. The drydown is softly spicy and elegant with the notes of iris and patchouli.

Elisabeth M.

Fresh, juicy, youthful, a little tart. A sophisticated summer fragrance with unmistakable Chanel DNA. A keeper in my collection since 2008.

Hamano_Chiaki

I've been on the fence with this one. To me it smells a bit more pink than green, which must be because of the Chance DNA peeking through. There's quite a bit of pink lemony sweetness combined with a slightly masculine woody undertone. On my skin I find it quite strong and long lasting, but I'm guessing that my nose is a little sensitive to some of the ingredients - it's a common problem that I have with a strong cedar note. I find the cedar less intensive in colder weather, which is why I prefer wearing this in fall more than summer.

CherryS34

A bit boring and not long lasting. It is fresh and I like it for an everyday mist, butttt it doesn't last on me at all. Not even on clothes. I spray it before work and it disappears even before I reach the office. Sadly returning.

pursueliving

I love this fragrance. It's Chanel, has their DNA. Beautiful. But, the one and only thing I have against it is that it very quickly becomes a skin fragrance, maybe in 30 minutes. It has no staying power and for that it gets low marks. Some people say it lasts longer on your clothes but for me it's just sad that it wears off my skin and then I can't smell it.

corianderbean

This was one of the fresh perfume recs a sales person gave me. This is fresh but has a slightly tart smell to it.

Zombie Apocalypse

I really like this fragrance. I had days that i loved it and other days that i only strongly liked it. Its memorable and it is feminine in its own way. Its not a heavy scent even though it has patchouli. Its blended exceptionally and definitely worth a small bottle at least.

Meadowberg

Not a sharp zesty citrus like Light Blue, more fresh and juicy. Someone below described this scent as "drinkable" - absolutely!
The florals encase the fruits in a beautiful blend that is neither too much of one of the other. Just as Chance eau Tendre comes up a little more floral, the eau Fraiche comes up a little more fruity. The perfume is described as woody, but I don't personally find any of the warm depth of woodiness - more like fresh green sap!
This is definitely one of the more youthful and wearable Chanel scents, perhaps even a little basic, but it's still utterly elegant. It's not always easy to find a fresh and citrussy summer scent that is sophisticated rather than sporty, but this hits that spot.
It's a thoroughly refreshing spritz - a cooling burst of soft green juiciness with that interesting complex twist from the pink pepper. A real classy summer scent and I agree with others in that it could totally be pulled off as unisex, although the strength of the florals lean it slightly more feminine to me.
Only downside is the longevity. Lots of people here saying it lasted 8 hours + on them, but sadly not so for me. It's virtually imperceptible after 2 hours, which is a shame as it is a luxury fragrance (at a luxury price!). Oh well. Another excuse to top up and get that lovely fresh burst all over again!

Anna Pantherina

It is beautiful to me! If anyone asks me which perfume she brought out with the greatest ease, it would be this one. It is very natural. Citrus is juicy, rounded, tame, drinkable. It is green in pastel shades. The touch of flowers and delicate musk float somewhere in between. it radiates from the skin already from its depths. It enchanted me

ghkim

Citrus and woods. It's not very sweet, and stays unisex for me. Does not project much even after spraying heavily. Good for a summer scent that does not overwhelm. Good choice for the office too. Nothing remarkable here, but also nothing offensive. It's a likable summer citrus scent. 4/5.

Gildedlilly

This was my signature for years and also what I wore on my wedding day. For me this can go day to night and works beautifully in the heat of summer. I no longer reach for this as I approach my 40's however I still have a quarter bottle left. This is my favorite of the Chance's and holds a place in my heart. It reminds me of falling in love with my spouse and my old party days!

Sol0013

I try this on every time I go to the store! And for some reason I find it very similar to the original Chance. I think they're both similar and different but not different to a level that I want to own both. I'm sticking to my Chance edt for the time being.

frangiris

I tested it on a strip, and it is a very pleasant scent. It does smell fresh and light, but not sharp. I do not really recognize Chance EDP in this, and it is a little too subtle for me to warrant a purchase, but nonetheless very nice.

Stwumpet

This was my first Chanel, and so it is very nostalgic for me. I wore it all through my senior year of high school and during graduation so I’m glad I can associate those times with this scent. I’m still not tired of it, and yes, I am a man who wears it. It is fresh and sparkly like a Sprite in the best way possible. It works for all occasions, day or night, any time of the year. You will want to smell yourself day and night and so will everyone around you.

Lovely green fragrance. I love mixing it with Chanel 19.
