Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum by Chanel is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum was launched in 2019. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Polge. Top notes are Quince and Grapefruit; middle notes are Rose and Jasmine; base note is White Musk.

In January 2019, the new version of Chance Eau Tendre comes out. Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum promises a rounder, more feminine and floral take on the original soft fruity-floral composition.

"With CHANCE EAU TENDRE Eau de Parfum, perfumer-creator Olivier Polge, in cooperation with the CHANEL Laboratory of Fragrance Creation and Development, reinterprets the floral-fruity signature. More intense, more enveloping, this version expresses a radiant and confident femininity. Its floral heart accentuates the fullness of exotic jasmine absolute, enriched with an essence of rose that shines a soft light at the center of the composition. More feminine than ever, this floral equation is draped in just the right dose of smooth and creamy white musk notes to create a clean, cottony effect. Immediately illuminated by the tangy whirl of the grapefruit-quince accord, CHANCE EAU TENDRE Eau de Parfum brings a feeling of absolute tenderness. Delicate and profoundly poetic, this new composition evokes a woman whose joy and inner glow gives her instant charm."

The fragrance is available in quantities of 50 and 100 ml.

I just received this today. I had the EDT version but gave that to my daughter. this is strong and more depth scent compared to the edt. I love the added rose but yet there is still the OG DNA. Excellent fragrance for Mother’s Day or any beautiful summer day. I’m hoping this will last longer than the OG because that faded quickly on my skin (1 hour).

Will come back for the longevity and sillage performance!

ntabassum92

It's okay, I think it's better than the original Eau Tendre, but still just okay for me. It smells similar to Daisy. It's similarly sharp/sweet and abstractly floral smelling, without really smelling like rose or jasmine. Fruity, but also not distinctly fruity, like I can't tell that it's quince I'm smelling, it could honestly be pear. There are better quince fragrances. I wore my sample while visiting some family because it was strong enough for me to smell all day (does have better lasting power than the EDT) but not offensive in any way. So it's good for that...but you could probably find something cheaper that would have the same effect. I would go for any Burberry floral over this one, they have more character.

Second best Chanel in my opinion. A glorious fragrance, pure femininity!

Unlike other Chanel perfumes, this version of Chance Eau Tendre EDP has a very particular fruit heavily used in the composition and rarely uses in other perfumes or rarely used by other brands. The quince note! I personally adore this fruit and I have specifically bought some fragrances, not just this one, because they have a pronounced quince note. It might not be for everyone, I am aware that’s not the most popular note in perfumes but I love it!

In Chance Eau Tendre EDP the quince is mixed with a tart, zesty grapefruit note, some florals and a base of white, clean and fluffy musk. Everything but the quince suggests a very basic, done million times before scent. But quince gives the scent a very different feel, citrusy but sweet, somewhere between the scent of a green apple or a pear, but honeyed, light and more transparent, with more citrusy facets, but without the usual sharpness of a lime or lemon. A unique twist. Quince is the sprinkle of magic dust that’s creating a never smelled before scent…Happy and mood boosting smell, to brighten up the gloomy days.

This is an atemporal perfume, light and airy but with some substance, all year round scent, suitable for all ages in my opinion. Might not be my first choice during winter and fall but I worn it several times and it did well even during colder days. It is a very beautiful scent but with a distinctive smell, that might not be the most appealing for some, but I absolutely adore it.

Performs on par with other Chanel scents, it’s quite long lasting but more moderate when it comes to sillage.

This perfume is pure love for me. It's simply such a beautiful scent, soft, clean, airy, and absolutely amazing. It's truly feminine and receives many compliments. It's really great for everyday wear. I think it lasts well on me, 8+ hours.

HappyGoLuckyStar

Sorry but….What a synthetic mess it is!! 🤯🥺 I am speachless….
The first Chanel ever ( and I have had many of them over the 20 years) that I cannot stand and cannot wear 😰
I thought it would be great perfume for spring, but ended up with a massive dissapointment.
Smells almost plasticy suffocating to me and I am not even able to comment on its notes 😔 The longevity isn’t great - approx. 2 hours.
Well, it is a lesson learned. Even if you love the house and its dna, never blind-buy anything. Always try the fragrance on your skin. Always.
I guess I will better stick to my beloved Chance Eau Fraiche for this spring 😎

One of the most beautiful perfumes I own. So lovely, feminine, elegant and soft. I like this more than the EDT. They are similar and both are floral fresh but the EDP is more rounder, creamier, more grown up and put together. I'm 37 and the EDT feels a bit too young and too much one in a dozen for me. The EDP gives it more dept and adds something special to it. The rose is well done and delicate, it does not hit you in the face. The dry down of the EDT is a bit sharp while the EDP is softer in the dry own. In my opinion this is the best floral fresh perfume out there. The EDP lasts longer on me than the EDT but don't expect something beast mode. 4-6 hours max. Lasts longer on clothing. It does give me the most beautiful whiffs throughout the day. Office friendly and perfect for spring and summer season.

Mar$hall Banana

This is an easy to wear one. A lovely, feminine smell that you can wear everyday. I'm not a big fan of rose scents but this is fine with me because of the quince and grapefruit. The addition of citrus gives a playful and refreshing touch to it, brightening up the floral and musk notes.

veronica9p

Unfortunately this ended up smelling like pee/urine on me.

dandelionsandfire

Too mature for 20s-30s. Something I'd smell on 50-60s women. The dry down was a stinky musk that I couldn't wait to get home asap to scrub it off.

ch4se

A clean, soft, feminine and bright perfume. When I first sprayed it it smelled like green apples. As it dried down the Chanel signature musk, the quince and the floral notes really came through. After it settles it smells like you just got out of a bubble bath on a breezy spring day. Ultimate clean scent, can be worn every day. An absolute love for me.

Beans&Gravy

I think this is the one my dad got me for Christmas. It was alright. It has elements I like: Musk, Grapefruit, and Jasmine. All the scent kinda turned into a generic clean smell. I should probably try it again, but for now I recommend smelling in store to see if you like it or not.

Lilium86

I sprayed it today after a long time, but strangely it reminded me of something I recently used. Then I understood! It's 80% identical to Valentino Born in Roma Yellow Dream, only this one is a bit fruitier while VBIRYD is slightly more powdery and lasts a long time on clothes. I think I'll alternate between these two as the warmer days arrive, Chance Eau Tendre for the day while Yellow Dream for summer evenings.

strawberrymochi

love love love. smells so elegant and sweet and beautiful.

Scissorslizardspock

I sometimes like the EDT more, but I wear this more often. Isn’t that odd? The EDT is muskier, has better lasting power on me, more subtle nuances. The EDP hits me over the head with a rosey quince grapefruit, and I’m not angry about it. In fact, it makes me quite happy, which is why I think I keep reaching for it. Perfuming is an odd business. But fun!

perfumelovere

I could see how this is universally pleasing and while there are elements about it that are beautiful, there's something that reminds me of stale baby wipes and it stays throughout the entire life of the scent. I can't ignore it but I wish I could because everything else is lovely. I suspect there's iris in this version too even though it's not listed above because I can't think of what else would give it that powdery component I dislike so much. Otherwise, it's a fresh, floral, feminine, "pink" scent. I would classify this as a safe blind buy.

vpace91

I like it better than the EDT but it still seems like it's just missing something, to me.

thekinzzz

I live in a small town and have a hard time being able to even sample newer scents in the drugstore so my husband flies a lot for work and he walked past a Chanel store and decides to call me says I have 5 minutes to pick what I want. In a panic I say “chance eau tendre is supposed to be nice” and he smells it quick and says “yes I want it” buys it!! I was so excited to even smell it and man when I did, I was transported. It’s the most feminine soft but powerful scent I can see why men are weak to it. The rose is so jammy and sensual. Omg thank you husband for my first Chanel won’t be my last!!!

gkbertini

Heavenly. This perfume is the all-rounder of my collection. Probably the best perfume that I’ve owned so far. Beautiful gorgeous and pretty. Fresh, fruity floral pink, youthful but elegant, feminine, dreamy and completely inoffensive. In line with a fresh laundry smell. It even lasts for a decent amount of time. My bottle is almost empty so I only use it for very special occasions! But I would use this every day if I could.

Gwenbythesea

It opens up so good! A fresh, sweet and sparkling mix of citrus and flowers. Unfortunately (on me) it's gone in 30-60 minutes. Normally edp's stays a decent time on my skin, so this is new for me.
Just blind bought a 30ml bottle (directly from Chanel) and feel kind of disappointed. Will try to spray on clothes next time.

Bella691967

I have a 150ml bottle of the EDP from 2020 and it stays on my skin for 10-12 hours.
I just bought another 150ml bottle at Macys today (they had 25% off if you applied for a Macy’s card). This new bottles batch code reflects 8/2023 production and it’s not nearly and strong. ❓Was this reformulated? Not happy
Edit: I just read 60+ negative reviews on the Macy’s website and they were dated 2021 and newer and all said the scent is much weaker. I’m thinking my 2020 batch was right after the EDP came out (2019), so it was strong, they then reformulated the newer batches and weakened the scent. Do these manufacturers really think we won’t notice? No wonder so many people are switching to Arabian perfumes.

lenomducauchemar

honestly smells so fking pretty, i love both the edt and edp version, the rose and musk are so creamy and one of the best roses i have smelled in a fragrance. usually rose note ends up as headache for my own wears over 4h and especially when combined with too much vanilla / vanilic accords, but this one isnt like that. very clean and elegant and wearable rose. quince incoperates with it so well, smells like a princess. performance is mid, literally mid. not wack nor super. daisy isnt an accurate dupe of this. daisy and applejuice has a similar VIBE to this, but they are not exact substitues of the EDP eau tendre. because this has rose, they dont really come close to this. be careful

violeteme

A forever perfume, a princess perfume, an elegant and chic perfume.
It sparkles and shimmers with all its tender juiciness, allowing to capture the sourness, the languid aroma of a dainty rose, and a fancy, lively quince.
Eau Tendre EdP is so very softly feminine. A beautiful and delicate watercolor image.
I feel it to be just a bit rosier and natural than its EdT version. The rose here is gorgeous, creamy-sweet-nutmeg-fruity.

verahoving99

I recently bought a 150ml version of this after finishing my 50ml one. I love this perfume so much. It's perfect for every occassion and while other perfumes typically don't last long on me, this one does. The smell is so amazing I wish I could drink it lol.

mishka222

nice, inoffensive, safe for blind buying but it's a bit too basic for me and nothing really stands out. pretty bottle though!

meredithr

My most complimented fragrance to date, and I have a collection of 50+. It's a beautiful, dreamy feminine scent that's well blended with equal parts floral and fruity. Smells like the color pink.

mothtoaflame___

(Collection)
Quince is a note I had to fall in love with! I never bumped into a feminine, citrusy rose so well blended like this. Uncomplicated, approachable, clean. Pretty but not juvenile.

sashazor

A fresh, juicy floral. It's beautifully blended and perfectly pleasant. It's bright and femenine, a lovely, safe, elegant scent. Perfect for spring/summer days. On me the fragrance doesn't develop much, the opening is noticeably citrusy, but then it simply.. Stays there. I don't smell roses, mostly a musky jasmine scent with a citrus punch.

It's not terribly unique or head-turning, but it is lovely.

Unfortunately, the longevity on me is rather poor (About 2 hours tops) Sillage is moderate.

nisarsarah9

Beautiful, sweet scene, I love the rose touch as im a big fan of floral perfumes. It is suitable to wear at any given occasion and can be a safe signature scent!

Strawberry_milkshake

So gentle and tender :)
I don't want to exadurrate, but this smells like heaven... Like an angel ✨
Beatiful flowers, a bit fresh, a bit sweet and powdery 🤍 super soft and delicate, extra feminine scent....
Nothing stands out, its so well blended and the smell is just devine...

celyn_jo

It's so fresh that it disappears on my skin after 3 hours or so. On clothes, however, it stays longer for about 6 hours.
I wish that this has a better staying power because I don't think I won't be purchasing this again. It's too expensive for the longevity and the sillage it offers.

Once I finish my bottle, I'm going to replace it with Chanel Eau Fraiche because (from the sampler that I have) it has a better performance than Chance Eau Tendre.

cloudswirl

I didn't anticipate enjoying this fragrance as much as I do, it's genuinely delightful. It has a gentle, radiant rose aroma complemented by subtle powdery undertones. The scent is clean and reminiscent of freshly laundered clothes (I wish my clothes smelled this good!!!). However, it doesn't last long, particularly on my skin. Even on fabric, it only manages a decent 4-hour wear. I have Bath and Body Works body sprays that last longer than this fragrance. 😥

Given its price, it's not be the best value. I really wish it would last longer because it's so so beautiful.

PerfuMEOW

This is so incredibly beautiful. My two kitties passed this year; Hermione in February and Henry last Sunday. I have been so depressed, but when I spray this it gives me a sense of calm. It's a happy scent even when you're as heartbroken as I am.

Isabellagd

Chance Eau Tendre is a very pretty, feminine and likeable scent. It's so mass appealing you will struggle to find someone who doesn't like it. However, I haven't had the best experience with it.

I was incredibly patient with this fragrance, hoping that with time the performance will improve. I've had my bottle for almost two years, and wore it very often for the last two Springs and Summers. I tested it indoors, outdoors, on very hot days, on warm and breezy days, and so on... Never once did I get more than ONE hour of wear from this fragrance.

And by one hour I don't mean it stops projecting after one hour, it literally disappears from both skin and clothes in one hour. I have body sprays that last better than this fragrance.

I own 100+ fragrances and this is by far the worst performing one in my collection. It is not worth the price, especially since Chanel keep increasing their prices every year.

I would not recommend buying this fragrance unless you really don't care about performance and don't mind re-applying every hour, or if you're a Chanel fan. It's literally just some smelly water in a pretty pink bottle.

I also sampled BDK Bouquet de Hongrie which is very, very similar to Chance Eau Tendre but doesn't last either.

cedarsweetgrass

I'm not a Chanel perfume fan. I keep trying various Chanel fragrances, and was gifted a decant of Chance. Perhaps it attests to the legacy that Chanel perfumes have had on the field that they're just too basic. Inoffensive, broad appeal, nothing distinctive outside of being Chanel.

Seranity

Mmmm, it's pretty yes, but it's really nothing special. Just a light rose and slightly fruity perfume that's safe for the office really. It's not sexy, it's not seductive, it's not deep. It's just safe and non offensive in a light, airy feminine way. Lasts moderately on myself. Not very big on sillage. I like it, but I don't love it. As I said, it's safe. 🤷🏼♀️

Heathermarie8617

I have worn the original EDT since it's debut and never thought there was a point in owning the EDP. This year, because I love Eau Tendre so much, I purchased the EDP. I wore this yesterday and was extremely impressed with the longevity on skin! I applied the fragrance at 7am and could still smell it just as strong at 2pm, a solid 7 hours! I will use up my EDT and just continue replacing with the EDP because for me, the EDT does not last longer than 3 hours, even on clothes, which I totally understand. I've heard/read that the EDP doesn't last long, so that's why I didn't really bother getting the EDP, but I'm sold. It lasts a long time on me. :)

Cheers!

TillyWave

Gosh WHY is this the best fresh floral of all time? I absolutely adore this fragrance, especially in the EDP, it is bright and uplifting, I love the citrus rose and cottony musk drytown, it smells great in any season and for any occasion, it's so cheerful it practically enhances my mood when I'm wearing it, I genuinely have an addiction to this fragrance. My 50 ml bottle is on the down side and I only bought this like 2 years ago ... with the size of my shelf that is impressive usage. I think that this is now one of my most used fragrances and mos def in my top 20. I think I'll have to get the 150 ml bottle next.

For anyone that says this doesn't last, I'd just like to mention that this fragrance is LOADED with white musks which one can easily go nose blind too. I don't need to apply more than about 4 sprays at a time for this to last over 12 hours on me. I also try not to inhale until the perfume physically dries on my skin so I don't saturate my nose begin with.

Mvaldesvila

This is a "new" classic for a reason. It is musky, fresh and uplifting. I tend to gravitate to this fragrance when I'm not sure what to wear during the warmer months.

aldinatic

This is the only Chanel perfume I like and this says a lot. Feminine and similar to Hello Beautiful from Bath and Body Works.

Bmcbat

Quite a shame that the formulation has changed. Still pretty but lacks a little individuality and longevity compared to the OG.

k9dogbeto

Opening notes are the same with applejuice by Zara. It's so fresh and apple-likely. But after 15 minutes it fades away and left a very weak rose note. Overpriced for sure. So nice but so weak.

Petrajln

I really wanted this parfume to be my new signature one because this scent smells like happiness and that is exactly how I feel in this period of my life. Eau Tendre is fresh, light, elegant, sparkling, aquatic, vibrant, … I love the scent and I wish people around me could smell it and remember me by this scent. Unfortunately after 4 hours I can’t smell anything on me and neither on my clothes. The price is too high to pay for a parfume that needs to be re-applied to be actually enjoyed. I will not repurchase

verzosa

This has been my signature scent for a long time. It's so refreshing, uplifting, fun, feminine and happy. It provides the freshest musk I've ever experienced. It's a pretty and minimal scent which makes it easy to layer with a lot of fragrances. I get so many compliments on this. To me it's "so elegant, so considerate".

Karina8

It smells good in a paper but in my skin it develops to a sour smell with a hint of soaps rose, it gives me a headache I really tried but it doesn’t match well with me.

milkystrawberrycake

It smells like fancy soap, its nice and pretty but i dont think its worth the hype and the price. I would say its musky and fresh with floral notes and some cucumber, nothing original, groundbreaking, amazing, etc. I would compare it to a body mist that you put on before running out of the house and going grocery shopping. I actually really like it for spring and summer and use it often, but i definitely wouldn't purchase again.

Elfin Will

Ummm.. I don't really get the hype for this fragrance. It is pleasent, indeed, but that's all. Rosy, powdery, musky, soapy, and a bit fruity (in the opening only). When I sprayed it I liked it, but got bored of the scent by the end of the day.

But not to be too harsh, for the first time, I really enjoyed a musky fragrance. Usually, the musk doesn't go with my skin chimestry, but that one did and I loved it! Beautiful ingredients of a very high quality.

And I don't know why, it gives me some Yves Rocher perfumes vibe, their perfumes being mostly based on roses and citrus.

7.5/10

EDIT: This is crazy! The next day it has on clothes the same exact drydown of Kenzo Cedre Secret!

felised

I don't have much to say about Eau Tendre but I genuinely don't think anyone can find this unpleasant. Musky, translucent rose stripped of all its thorns and challenging facets, doused in citrus. Has it been done before? Yes. Does it smell good? Of course. Would I pay Chanel prices for it? Absolutely not. I received it as a gift and I wear it, but will not be repurchasing.

Bolenn

Rose, oh, why rose again?

I used to have a factory sample of the EDT a few years ago. I am not a huge fan of Chanel scents - though Coco Mademoiselle was my wedding scent (at that time there was no Instagram, and no Insta chicks proving their style with photos of their outfit and Coco Mad that led to all wannabe influencers and fashonistas in downtown wearing it) and pretty much enjoyed Chance Eau Fraiche and Tendre -, so I never invested in a full or at least travel size bottle of Tendre.
Still, recently I realized how much I miss this scent so was very happy when I could get a new factory sample of Tendre EDP. I was so happy, did not even check if the scent is the same, I just expected it to have a bigger sillage and/or better longetivity than the EDT version.

When I first sprayed it on, it was similar enough to memories kick in and different enough to question those memories at the same time: somehow I remembered this little gem differently. And suddenly the rose note just emerged after the citrussy opening and I knew: damn! This is not that scent! I do not want rose, rose is not supposed to be here at all, what the hack?
This was the point when I realized the reason and felt sooo disappointed. I do not consider myself as a rose scent fan. I do adore Idole or John Galliano's Parlez-Moi D'amour, just recently purchased a travel size Silk Destiny from Novellista and have a full bottle of Coach EDP and a few samples (Lanvin's Rumeur 2 Rose, Goutte the Rose of Cartier) but that's enough for me.
I do not want more rose and I am tired of how much all new fragrances seem to have rose among the notes. So if there's something I really do not want to detect in a Chanel frag is rose.

I want my "old" Eau Tendre EDT back. I know it still exists but I cannot find a sample of it, however I think I would need a longer testing before investing in a full bottle: the other sample of Chance Eau Fraiche I got together with this one has a juice with no longetivity at all. I applied it in the morning and re-applied an hour later and again: in 30 mins it was gone. Later during the day I could smell some faint traces of it now and then but if this is the quality of Chanel scents recently (I could see others complaining about the same), I will not buy it without having a sample first.

Back to the Tendre EDP: citrussy rose with a slight hint of the original EDT which is not even comparable to that beauty. But if you want a nice rose scent from a big brand, well, this can be it, however in that case I think I would prefer Idole from Lancome.

TheNyx2003

Well , it does smell good floral , fresh and happy
But it's generic and not unique maybe i was too high expected for this , i wanted something more sophisticated and a little more unique i see no sophistication that everyone mentioned (pitty ;) , don't get me wrong it smells nice but nothing special at all
But still nice and easy to wear , great for summertime
, most people out there will like and not a risky blind buy

Edit : alright guys after using a 1.5 ml sample i'm gonna take my words back ;) this is really addictive ; there is unique type of citrus in it that easily cheers me up ! I planned to buy a full bottle !

vadavoo

Bright, beautiful, floral, feminine. Once Beckham Intimately for her was discontinued, I had to find a new signature fragrance. This is my all-time favorite perfume ever! I get tons of compliments from men and women. The scent lasts the entire day. I usually only wear it when I'm going somewhere on the weekends since a bottle can range anywhere from $120 to $160. I just pray it doesn't get discontinued because all my favorite perfumes do.

MishaGericke

I bought this one as a first step out of my usual floral comfort zone, and it does a great job. Today, though, I put it on for a nice day out in fresh air and honestly, it was the perfect choice.

It was the first time that I really paid attention to how it performs, though, and I was pleasantly surprised. It starts off with the citrus scents but then became surprisingly peppery as it started to dry, and then suddenly, the pepper gave way to what I'd like to think of as a single fragrant rose. Sweet and lovely, but surprisingly tart if you think about it.

I've had a couple of rose scents before, so I tend to think of rose as heavy and dark, but this scent is so well balanced and understated, and I think the spiciness and the citrus does just enough to elevate that rose scent. As time goes, the rose continues to linger but gives way to a quiet, understated musk. It's there, but you need to pay attention to know it. Still, it leaves me smelling clean without soapy and powdery.

In short, I like this, although I get why some would say it's too safe to be a signature. It's really balanced, toeing the line between cool and warm, and being "just there" enough that one smells nice without it being overpowering. The silage isn't huge, but it's there.

So all in all, I think this was the perfect choice for a day at an open-air farmer's market. It's also one of those scents that will work for most seasons, although it might not quite work for winter, if only because I tend to prefer heavier, punchier scents.

Melis.t

This is my go to spring/summer scent. It is fresh, a bit tart in the opening because of grapefruit but quince gives it a subtle sweetness. I definitely detect rose which sets this apart from the edt. This is more floral and creamy compared to edt which is more powdery in my opinion. It has a soft, clean and cottony feeling that I really find elegant and polite. It reminds me of white linen clothes. The longevity is pretty good on my skin especially on clothes, definitely not a weak scent. If you enjoy citrus florals, it's very hard to dislike it.

TupacAmaruShakur

@Hlawuleka Malungana you're telling me this perfume is not bright, happy, sweet, feminine perfume? Really? i mean....I'm a man and when I smell this on my wife all I can think about is bright, happy, sweet, feminine perfume. Lady's trust me, men adore this fragrance on a woman, an absolute masterpiece by Chanel.

Jacquis

I received Chanel Chance en Tendre EDP as a gift. Not something I would have purchased for myself. My taste runs more toward the Eau Fraiche. This en Tendre is something I've smelt many times in different brands. Not sure which came first but it's an everyday, easy wear, basic rose perfume. I struggled to find something unique in it but, nothing. En Tendre would be perfect as a first perfume or a signature for someone who just wants to have a light fragrance. Very similar to Mauboussin Rose pour Elle edp which lasts much longer with very good presence and projection.

lmnsvgz

EDT IS A LOT BETTER. But all of these are so plain and basic.

Lucka28

I got Chanel Chance as a gift. It's a bit overpowering for my taste and lasts pretty long. Three sprays are enough to make me dizzy. I don't particulary like the smell either. I wouldn't buy it myself nor recommend to anyone.

Spicadk

My husband Think it smell like cucumber and melon. I think it smell like roses and lemon.
To me this is a Better version of D&G light Blue. They are almost alike, but this one is softer, rounder and more sweet

Noelly88

This is such a perfect go to, signature scent. It is clean, polished, and has something for everyone - it’s a floral freshie for the clean aesthetic girlies, and it has musk for those who crave something more unisex and grounded. The initial spray is all rose, grapefruit, and jasmine. The dry down showcases more of the white musk, which takes these notes and prevents them from becoming “screechy”. It is a sweet, musky rose that stays fresh from the grapefruit. Long lasting and inoffensive. Uplifting from first spray. A good staple to always have around :)

Perfumegoddess23

♡ Enchanting fragrance, I can’t get enough of it. This is my interpretation of a barbie, girly feminine scent. This is so fresh, seductive & alluring. I always get compliments on this beautiful scent. I love how long lasting this is for my own body. This would make a gorgeous statement perfume, perfect for those who want to smell lush , devine & ultra femme fatale. The lingering longevity is on point. Sillage is remarkable & the perfect blend of sultry & femininity. The simple yet elegant bottle is captivating & I adore the pink colored juice. I would highly recommend this ! Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum is a rose version of the Eau de Toilette Chance Eau Tendre. It’s refreshing and clean. I enjoy both. EDT comes across more citrusy for me and it works well for day in SpringSummer. This EDP has a little more versatility for me as I will wear it year round night & day.

LilyWhite14

I’ve had this since it came out and I’ve never reviewed it, despite it being one of my favorites. First I’d like to say, ignore the reviews claiming it’s boring, generic, and suited for a teenager. I’m the mother of a teenager and we both enjoy this. Besides, I don’t think putting an age on a perfume makes sense. Seasons? Ok, I get it. Genders? Maybe, because it helps give me a feeling of what notes are going to be prominent, but saying that a perfume is “only” suited for teens or women over 50…blah. I wore Angel and Samsara in my 20’s and I’m still wearing this as I approach 40. I would like to understand what people even mean when they call this generic and boring. If it’s so generic, why does anyone have yet to make an accurate comparison? That being said, I would also ignore the “reminds me of” section. This is a very high quality perfume and it’s not comparable to Daisy. It’s more complex, has better longevity, it’s more balanced, and it just flat-out doesn’t smell anything like it. Generic to me would be the many fruitchoulis, gourmands, white floral vanillas, and perfumes trying to smell like BR540. Just saying. I’m sorry, but I’ve owned Daisy and they’re not similar to my nose. The “reminds me of” section on this site has been so off on a lot of scents lately. Did Covid ruin people’s sense of smell? The votes have been confusing on a lot of perfumes over the past few years, it’s not just this one.

Anyway, this is just such an easy reach, it smells zesty and juicy in the summer, and light and airy in the colder weather. The grapefruit in this is quite pronounced and I enjoy that aspect of it. It’s not as citrusy as you’d think, it’s got a fizzy quality that mixes so beautifully with the rose. It’s perfectly balanced imho. It’s very versatile and suitable for ALL ages, and better yet, for all seasons and situations!

SakuraFalls

I love love love this fragrance. Smells light. I only purchased a 3ml trial online.
I can't smell it on me most of the time.
When I move I get a wiff, I had to start spraying it on my neck because it bothered me that I couldn't smell it on my wrists unless my nose was on my skin. 3 sprays seems to be the perfect amount for several hours of gentle aroma.
Not overpowering. A fragrance that seems to warm the heart. For the price-tag I am kind of bummed I won't be getting the real bottle any time soon. On my wish list.

scent.2go

This is nice. Very feminen scent. Will be perfect for spring and summer. Bit overpriced but this is chanel so we pay for that tag of course. But I love it anyway. 100ml come to mama!

vanillaflower77

It’s a beautiful creation like marshmallow roses but does not last long. I have to spray it a lot too
It’s also funny that they have a cream but no lotion
If they had a nice thin consistency lotion like the Chanel paris and venise lotions etc it would be amazing
Not sure why the lotion has been pulled
Bad idea

Fussyfragrance

On me, this smells WAY too much like my MJ Daisy, there would be no point in me having both, especially with the price being a lot steeper with eau tendre.

cowboyfuel

Ngl, I didn’t think this was that bad when I first tried it, but now, I just regard it as boring and flat. Yeah, it’s…feminine, I suppose. That’s pretty much it. Rather generic for Chanel. Not worth the price for what it turns out to be.

TupacAmaruShakur

I love when my wife wears this one, one of chanels best. And the longevity is outstanding around 12 hours I can smell it around her, great edp realese.

bellabae

So pretty and fresh! Smells a bit shampoo-ey in a good way, very clean but also juicy. Great for spring and summer! I’d love to add this to my collection but it’s a bit on the pricey side! Worth it though IMO.

existentialcrysis

The quince and grapefruit make this smell like a cleaning product on me. Very sour and citrusy with hints of fresh roses. I can’t smell the jasmine or musk at all.

I’m so happy I got this free sample with my Sephora order because I was really planning on blind buying this.

Bluejasminee

I used many times and the scent of rose was powerful to me. It is very sophisticated and feminine. Sometimes I spray on my pillow and sleep by smelling it :)

carla.c1

I love this version of Eau tendre!

Its so feminine and delicate, but with great lasting power and sillage. A friend of mine that works at Chanel mentioned that this one has notes of Civete and Patchouli at the base notes, hence, the animalic smell some people smell in this version. I can smell the Civete note in the nosel but in my skin it doesn't last - eau tendre EDP remains very sweet for me, which I love - rose absolute (a sweet fruity sort of smell), quince, musk. That's what comes up the most for me!

You can use this perfume for any occasion. I had people stopping me all the time to ask what I was wearing. I finished a 150ml bottle in 6 months because I could not stop wearing this, so beware, it is quite addictive.

Eau tendre duo, EDT and EDP are winners. Classy, sensual in its own perfect way, feminine, addictive.

Ekoparan

Tried this in Sephora and needless to say, I’m gonna get it to spoil myself on Christmas! It’s very nostalgic to me because it smells exactly like the winx strawberry-bannana smoothie I used to get all the time as a kid! It’s very citrusy and fruity to me, and again, smells exactly like a smoothie.

fformoso88

I love the original Chance by Chanel and I love this one too. It’s soft, it’s sweet, it’s fresh, it’s sophisticated. I get a lot of compliments from it too. The lasting power on this one is amazing as well! It’s an elegant fragrance that I feel like you can wear anytime for any occasion. When I wear this I feel ultra feminine and beautiful effortlessly. The girl who wears this is boujee and carefree. Soft and feminine. Delicate but strong. That’s very much the vibe of this fragrance. A soft gorgeous citrusy/rose/musky fragrance.

Zombie Apocalypse

I really like this perfume. Its quite sophisticated but still modern. I imagine a 30 something girl wearing this w/ a cashmere sweater and pearls. I get a soft romantic rose and other florals but no distinct jasmine. If you compare this to the EDT, the EDT is more citrusy with a bolder/brighter opening. The EDP goes into middle notes quicker and you get a much more powdery scent. And less of a fruity musky scent. Personally I think this is a signature scent and can be worn in all 4 seasons day or evening.

I would love to wear this if I could, but I have made a decision not to buy any new bottles of department store fragrances and support cleaner more natural & cruelty free perfume and cosmetic brands because I started getting migraines from regular perfumes.

BTW.. before above, I had bought the EDT maybe 3 yrs ago now. Bottle 60% gone. I wont throw it out i love to smell it now and again, its still gorgeous.

girldeadbug

Okay in short I don’t like it, it’s not the Chanel for me (will there ever be? 🥺). It smells mature, and for some reason, has an odor of poop? Not trying to be juvenile, I seriously smell poop in this. I smell poop in Prada Candy too. Anyways, it’s a bright citrus-y rose at the onset. Perhaps the jasmine is reading as fecal here. It’s not super noticeable but I smell it in the deeper layers of the fragrance. The rose has a tinge of spice starting at the drydown and it becomes more full-bodied and deeper as opposed to the sparkling beginning. It is very basic but I wouldn’t say mass-appealing… I’d like to try the green one again, I think that was the only one I liked, actually loved.

2nd review: Trying again. I still smell poop! It’s very light but it’s there! Omg. 😭 Basic fruity floral. It’s nice I suppose. Smells like clean laundry that got tooted on. 😆 Maybe it’s just my skin giving the fecal odor from this frag. It might smell better on clothes. If this wasn’t Chanel, I don’t think it would be anything special to anybody.

BougieGirlShops

This is oh so pretty, feminine and bright. It's the epitome of soft fruity floral. If you looked up fruity floral in the dictionary, it would be a picture of CET. It's definitely something that once upon a time, it may have been something I would consider for a signature scent. Office appropriate and overall a crowd pleaser.

I would definitely add this to my collection if I didn't already have so many other fruity florals. At this point in my collection, I don't think it's something that fills a void and I would need to find it at a really great price to purchase. Not that I find any of my bottle dupes or anything, but they are all generic enough to make do until I finish them off first. Between my Daisy flankers, Tocca collection, Vince Camuto flankers, line up of Chloe's, J'Adore, Quatres, and various Elizabeth Arden and Estee Lauders, I am good for now.

Ying-Ying Kan Jennie

Love this fragrance by Chanel. I get lots of compliments everytime I wear it. It is also quite fresh on the skin so it is perfect on hot balmy days especially at work when I am out and about on client meetings and catching public transport. I have bought 2 bottles, the first was the lighter version but it does not have the staying power as the perfume. I also really LOVE the bottle and its cap. Looks totally awesome and elegant on my vanity. 5 stars from me! *****

princesslopez4890

I purchased this for myself as a Christmas present in 2021. Beautiful, effortless, inoffensive, Sweet, floral, Fun, fresh , youthful, any age/ any season. One of the very few Chanel fragrances I own. I will repurchase this and keep it in my collection for life. When I purchased this it was because I was trying to start getting into Chanel fragrances and it was one of the few that I actually liked and while trying it out now for the last 9 months on and off, I finally understand the hype. I get about 5-7hrs which is good enough for me it gets the job done and sometimes I just take it with me and respray throughout the day. Everyday/signature scent worthy. I’d pick this up over coco mad no shade I said what I said lol! This is definitely one to experience at least once.

Heavenly Heather

Beautiful, sparkling, effervescent! A gorgeous citrus/floral fragrance that’s great for daytime and just smells clean and wonderful. I’ve had people stop me on multiple occasions when wearing this. It’s a compliment getter for sure. An easy reach and a safe blind buy. I definitely prefer this to the EDT as this version is not only different (in a good way) it also lasts much longer on the skin. As one would expect it to!

takema

Chance Eau Tendre EDP is a very pretty fragrance. It is similar to the EDT but much softer and smoother with a strong rose. I prefer it over the EDT but the performance is quite subtle. The opening is a citrus rose, the citrus is fresh without the sharpness that the EDT can have. The drydown has the same clean musk as the EDT. This fragrance is youthful, but has a bit more maturity and depth than the EDT. The rose is the most dominant note throughout the wear. It is always youthful, fresh and dewy.

I like this as a warm weather daytime fragrance. Perfect for when you want to feel feminine, pretty and a little sophsticated.

The longevity of Chance Eau Tendre is pretty good, it lasts on skin for about 6 hours, but it is little more than a skin scent. I find even from intial spray it stays very soft and close to the skin. This would work well for those people or situation where a more intimate scent is preffered.

The bottles in this line are pretty meh, especially for Chanel, but the cap on the EDP is an improvement over that on the EDT. The solid chrome with the embossed Chanel logo looks more cohesive than the cheap frosted plastic of the EDT.

Dani Nebula

I love this one! There’s nothing super groundbreaking about Chance Eau Tendre but I do think it’s quite special. I always wear this one when I don’t really feel like wearing perfume but still want to smell nice and it surprises me every time. It’s such a fresh pretty citrusy sparkling floral! I feel like the rose and Jasmine are quite balanced as I can’t pick either out but the grapefruit and quince dominate it in the opening that is very bright and pretty! The musk in this is also a very clean musk that I think brings a creaminess factor which I think is what makes this so special!

It’s very hard to be sad or unhappy wearing this. If you want a fresh and very pleasant fragrance that people around you will also like, this is it! This is also perfect for gifting to absolutely any age group. I feel like everyone should have it in their wardrobe

l_02mx

This is very pretty, it’s a clean girl sophisticated scent. The citrus is prominent but not sharp or jarring, the dry down is a simple musky floral. There’s not much to this scent, it’s non-offensive and a safe blind buy if this is your scent profile. I get the shampoo and soapy hint, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but I don’t know if I really want those type of accords in a perfume. This also has low projection and performance on me (even with moisturiser on). I like it the now, maybe need to sample for a longer period before I committed to a full bottle. I’m not particularly used to shampoo-like scents.

Blacklotus11

Fresh and uplifting opening, I get mainly grapefruit and jasmine from this fragrance the rose is mild to my nose, it's really great for this heatwave going on (here in socal). I personally find this fragrance a little bland and dull it reminds me a lot of daisy but much better quality... It just doesn't suit my personality too much. too innocent, too generic.

Nadeeeeen

I have smelled this on my cousin..floral and citrussy..the opening is gorgeous..i think I'm in love with grapefruit note😍

CheesyGarlicBread

The opening was lovely and that was the only redeeming thing about this one. The rose is green and aquatic in this fragrance. The dry down is floral hairspray.

jklovesperfumes

before I got back into being perfume lover/collector again… I’ve been sniffing and asking for a spray on my arm of this every time I’ll have the chance of passing by Chanel (and If i knoe the sales people barely remembers me)…I like it. but I’ve kept my collection to just 4-6perfumes for years… thinking it’s not practical to own too much, especially that I don’t go out too a lot, (using them at home sometimes)
Until my young girl got it for me as a birthday present from her part time job salary…coz she said she knows I wouldn’t get for myself even if I liked it, which made it more special. After that, I started collecting again, now I’ve grown my collection to 30+bottles in 2yrs. still controlling myself though.
I guess this Chanel perfume will be the one that I wouldn’t wanna lose in my collection. If I’d have just one from the brand, this is it. fresh, elegant and all year round usable… it’s simple but luxuriously smelling. though I think the price tag doesn’t suit “that” simplicity, You can find a lot of nicer or better ones with its price range. oh well, it’s “Chanel”.and I believe no one will hate or dislike this eau tendre… so well loved that it’s all over and so commonly used.

perfumelover9999

feminine, simple and likable. good for everyday. imo it can suit girls at basically any age. i like that the grapefruit isn't too bitter and isn't overpowering, it balances out the rose nicely.

Shikin27

Had this perfume for about a year. Really tried to understand it and get the notes. But this perfume is the definition of too perfumey for me. It doesn't last long so I sprayed more and that gave me a bad headache. In the end I sold it really cheap. Oh but I was running one time and smelled it on someone nearby and it really does smell beautiful so I guess it's just my body chemistry.

candi_n_spice

Eh. Sephora sent a sample with my order, so I'm trying it. It's nice. Maybe even better than average for this type, high quality I'm sure, but it's still very simple. Reminds me a little of Dior Addict Eau Fraiche, which I own. Both great for what they are, just won't be stopping any shows. Definitely inoffensive, a good office scent, or would be nice for very young ladies. Light and fresh for summer. I love the grapefruit and rose. It just lacks oomph. Je ne sais quoi.

I keep hearing that Chanel has amazing frags, but the ones I've sampled so far have either been along these lines, or aldehyde heavy, which just aren't my preference.

CeliaD

This is by no means my favourite perfume however it is probably the one I have purchased for the longest - I’m on about my 6th bottle now. The reason for this is that it is my go to for work. It helps me feel ‘put together’ and professional . It is not overwhelming and gets lots of compliments.
It smells expensive to me and definitely has the Chanel DNA which is very much in evidence in the dry down when squirted on a scarf.

Mc1995

It’s very nice, I have a sample of the EDT Eau Tendre as well, at first I thought the edt was a bit better, both are good and are worth owning, if you have that budget and/or are a collector. But after they settled on my skin I noticed that this edp is higher quality smelling, it turns into a beautiful ‘aura’ fragrance. Not the loudest but something that fuses with you beautifully, the edt just kind of stayed that same zingy freshness. I’d say this one for night or for dressing a bit more nice and the edt for daytime casual, particularly spring/summer.

twoski

Soft, delicate and floral, with a bit of citrus freshness. All rested on a bed of warm, fresh laundry-esque musk.

Pretty inoffensive and wearable anywhere. Honestly a bit too straightforward for my tastes.

Rose112

After years of wearing the EDT, I finally went and purchased this on Friday! As a fan of all of the Chanel Chance fragrances, I think this one is shaping up to be my favorite :)

So, to compare this to the EDT, the biggest difference I’d say is the rose note. It still has that same feminine, fresh and luxurious smell, but with a softer dry down. After a few hours of wear, this perfume morphs into a creamier, less sweet scent. I’m really enjoying it, and I think it’ll be a great perfume for Spring, Summer and possibly Fall.

Staying power: It isn’t as much as I’d thought it’d be, but it isn’t terrible either. I think around 5-6 hours is where it lands. It’s definitely expensive for that longevity, but the smell is just so perfect! On clothes, I’m finding it stays much longer.

Sillage: The sillage for this is moderate. It’s not going to engulf a room, but it’s also not a scent you have to press your nose to to smell. I think it’s just right for an everyday perfume!

How I’m wearing it: I’m not going to lie… Right after buying it, I went home and just sprayed away! For the night, I had a wonderful Eau Tendre bubble that was just lovely :)

The next day after a shower, I went a bit overboard again and did about ~10 sprays on my skin. This was a bit much for daily wear, so today I toned it down to about 7 and I found that perfect.

I’m excited to wear this one out, and it’ll probably end up being my signature scent! This one is definitely worth going and smelling.

auroramaria

I have both EDP and EDT and love them, however my favourite is the EDT. The EDP version is a bit harsh to my nose.still beautiful combo of rose and jasmine, however does not project or last long enough. The EDT is more powdery and soft and lasts much longer

vanillaflower77

It’s creamy and delicate and does not bother my allergies! I love jasmine and rose together, it’s just a dreamy combination. I have the body creme I was lucky to order it from Chanel in January when it was in stock makes this last so much longer.

LSAUG

This is a nice enough rose/musky/fruity perfume but again there is something in the Chanel DNA that gives me a headache. This was the last Chanel I tested today, and it will be my last forever. This was the best of the lot but still not good enough to buy. I just don't get the price point for this. It is nice but not for this price.

blair.kayl

smells like scented baby diapers

Zactel

On of the few fragrances from chanel that actually smell very nice and attracts the opposite sex. Most chanel women’s fragrances have a more classic smell and its mostly women that like those scent and not men, this one is better suited for younger audiences. Needless to say the only one I smelled out of all macy’s available testers to actually really like as a young guy to smell on a woman. The Eau de Toilette smells even better but performance is just not good enough.

Gioia's secret

I have weird relationships with this fragrance, sometimes I love it, especially on cold weather but sometimes it smells cheap and reminds me soapy water in bubble blower. I have had this fragrance for 3 months and I am still not sure whether I will keep it or I will give it away. However, Daisy Eau so Fresh from Marc Jacobs was my biggest love when I was living in a hot climate💕⌛️

Jojo Ali

This is my absolute favorite fragrance so far, I just love it!!! There's something in this scent that makes me obsessed with it 😍😍❤️idk why I just smell something powdery like marshmallows along with a very clean feminine scent. I have to spray this everyday and I can't get enough of it. It's currently my signature scent, I only wish it lasted longer and had a stronger sillage. It's definitely a must have and it's gonna be your best friend in spring and summer!

marialena888m

This is one of those perfumes that you don’t think of as anything special or interesting while it’s in your possession. You reach for it often, and mindlessly, even though you only ‘like’ it rather than LOVE it…it’s such a versatile classic and people-pleaser (ofcourse, with that refined Chanel touch). Makes you instantly feel graceful and put-together even on those low-effort days…it’s easy to wear, has decent longevity and sillage (for a freshie), works for anytime, anywhere, office, date night, brunch, you name it. You get a few compliments here and there that you smell lovely and people start to associate you with the scent…still, nothing earth shattering. But then the day comes that you run out of Chance Eau Tendre, you realize that you miss it, you find that there’s nothing else quite like it (though many come close), and you don’t want to be without it. So you repurchase the largest bottle and it becomes a permanent staple in your perfume collection. True story. Go for EdP if you want superior longevity, it smells more rosey/floral and comes off as more sophisticated and mature compared to the EdT. As I am in my 30s, I personally prefer that. If I ever had to downsize my perfume collection, this scent would be in my top 10. I still don’t love it, and it doesn’t excite me the way a few other scents do, but I wear it ALOT and I don’t like to be without it.

Coma Berenices

My forever favorite scent. So gentle, pure, fresh, romantic and feminine at the same time. It's like a colorful spring garden. You can never go wrong with it, it's never too much.
I would wear it someday at my wedding.

Mikhaela Pajara

Lasts more than a day whenever I spray it on my clothes. It's a clean and fresh scent so I use it whenever I go to school.

Crystalita76

Chance eau Tendre 💕
What a beauty.
This is a refined - bright - slightly sweet - slightly soapy stunner.
The quince and grapefruit are perfectly blended with with the florals and musk.
It has a certain- wow. What smells so amazing factor.
I’m really surprised there is not some kind of vanilla going on in the fragrance notes.
The citrus notes do not blast in your face or become too loud on the initial spray.
This is a creamy like dreamy 🌝 like sweet citrus wrapped around a delicate pink rose blanketed in a toned down pink musk.
I would absolutely assign this fragrance pink. 💓
It does give a shampooish type of vibe.
But definitely the most sophisticated type of shampoo straight out of the botanical gardens of Eden. 🌸
100% mass appealing.
I could not see anyone being offended by this beauty.
Absolutely work appropriate.
If I had a qualm about this fragrance, then it’s the performance.
The projection is only a few hours unless you do an incoming 20 spray routine 💨
There is a similarity to BDK Bouquet de Hongrie.
But in fact, Tendre out performed BDK.
Tendre is also smoother and better blended in my opinion.
Nevertheless, Tendre is lovely 🥰
Anyone would smell great wearing this.
Very versatile and could be worn for about any occasion.
Pink perfection 😍

helenearne

This is a very pretty scent! Clean, fresh and feminine. My sister put it nicely - like freshly laundered sheets in a dewy rose garden.
I loved it when I tried it at the department store so I bought it the day after a skin-test, but unfortunately it did not work for me in the long run. The rose is just too overpowering, which unfortunately triggers a headache.
I'll be swapping or selling mine after trying it a few times sadly.

If you like rose scents, this is for you!

HER30

Smells like a preppy stylish college roommate. Youthful, pretty, floral. It's too sweet for me. I'm getting a lot of grapefruit pineapple and hyacinth ( listed on the EDT notes but not here as a note in the EDP?) which I love hyacinths in real life - they smell like vanilla cake to me, but this is too sweet. I'm slightly interested to try other versions out because this is not unpleasant in any way, just smells like something much younger than me. Very innocent, sweet, clean.

Hammyt100

While she is beautiful, I much prefer the EDT. That one is ethereal and feminine. This EDP is also very feminine, but it's more rose. More "perfumey".

The EDT smells fresh and clean, this smells floral and refined.

ssss4ssss

Easy, inoffensive, and common. Not a love, but its great for a hot spring/summer day or office or something of the like. I'll probably keep it, but it's not signature scent worthy!

nickinicole

I've heard rave reviews of the EDT, but it just didn't work on me. I saw this and decided to test it out and fell in love immediately. It's so incredibly fresh and simply beautiful. I can't wait to wear it more as the weather warms.

Update: I have found that I love to layer this with Nest's Turkish Rose. It becomes the most beautiful scent! Also, I originally voted the sillage as rather moderate/arm's length because I believe I become a little nose blind to it throughout the day (it's so fresh!), but my husband informed me that he can pick up my trail really easily throughout our home (even after I've gone downstairs), so there's that. No need to overspray!

karlikarli

I wanted to test this fragrance out because it smells amazing on one of my friends. On her it smells very unique; white floral and white musk with a touch of citrus. On me this just smells like a basic citrus scent. The sillage and longevity are amazing, lasts all day. This is a fragrance I definitely would recommend testing out first before purchasing since it smells different depending on who is wearing it.

hypothesise

see, i say that i don't like florals and then fall for this one. if any company were to convince me it would be Chanel. i admit my curiosity for this one was based on the fact that almost everyone seems to agree that as far as safe fragrances go for this brand this is the youngest, freshest take in comparison to powerhouses like #5 or Coco Noir. additionally, a few reviewers have compared this to Vince Camuto's Fiori that i adore with the kind of senselessness that only nostalgia could explain considering its generally poor performance. theyre similar in the way that cousins are with eau Tendre being the more audacious of the two. it's extremely fresh and present without being too sharp from the quince. and i was surprised to see that rose was a component of this because i've always detested rose in fragrance notes, i don't get the hype or appreciation for roses but in time i hope to understand. this is definitely signature scent worthy and timeless. i'd be unsurprised to smell this in say, an office setting on a working professional. i hope to wear this more in late spring-early summer because in my mind that's when the fragrance will shine. my only hope is that this doesn't sour on my skin like some reviewers have pointed out. considering that "so safe, it's practically boring" was what intrigued me to this fragrance i'd advise against people expecting to be wowed because of the brand name attached to the bottle. it is not in any way knock-your-socks-off explosive but it is an understated and classy fragrance. worth the price point? i can't say considering i was gifted this bottle and it was nowhere near the tippy top of my to-buy list.

CherryWilder

Some people may find this perfume boring but for me, this is the perfume I've been trying to find since I was first interested in fragrances. It's beautiful, cozy, skin like yet fresh and feminine. This has grown to become my signature scent. I definitely think it projects better if also sprayed on clothes. Lasting power isn't the best so I find I get more silage and lasting time if also sprayed on my clothing. This is a safe blind buy for floral lovers.

MairyLou

One of the most elegant perfumes I have. Some reviews here I believe are mistaken about the EDT not the EDP because the longevity on this one is absolutely great. What a clean beautiful scent. This woman is beautiful in the most natural way, doesn't need to prove anything, doesn't try to gain attention, she has the attention without effort. Beautiful rose, not overwhelming at all, so feminine combined with that citrusy sweetness that only Chanel can create. This woman has class but she is not snob, I love it! My everyday at the moment...:)

AbdoulAllie

ONE OF THE BEST!!!
Fresh and clean office friendly perfume for women, a must have!!!!

8.6/10

JuicyJes

Lovely clean/sweet and fresh fragrance. I wish it lasted longer and projected past my arms. If it weren't for longevity and sillage being so poor, I would really love this. I bought this bottle at the beginning of my perfume...hobby? I guess, but I'll never buy another bottle again.

Ms_C

It smells clean, fresh, milky rose, soapy, light, inoffensive, nice, delightful and charming.

dilagrms

This perfume lasts looooong on me. Today I sprayed it on (5 sprays) at 8:15am and now it’s 12:43am and i’m still smelling it on me. Sillage is moderate but lovely

rinz09

Beautiful, but boring. The ultimate white t-shirt perfume. A staple in your wardrobe because of it's basicness. It smells clean, and fresh.

lynnphi

For those that say there isn't a difference between the EDP and the EDT, I beg to differ. The EDT to me is the light, inoffensive, perfectly fine fragrance for everyday that might be mistaken for a nice shampoo or soap. The EDP is also equally lovely, but the rose and floral notes are much more prominent, making it subtly more complex and a little more standout. Fortunately, I don't get a headache from this that I usually get from mainstream Chanels (looking at you, Allure and Mlle). It doesn't last very long.

kat_clarkson_

I want to start by saying this is pretty, pleasant and inoffensive. It is very light and fresh but because of that lacks longevity. My mum said ‘it smells like a pleasant sanitary pad’ which to me is the most accurate description. I couldn’t bring myself to pay the best part of £100 to smell like a pleasant sanitary pad. I think if I felt like wearing a light fresh fragrance I’d stick with my Bvlgari Omnia Coral. Chance Eau Tendre is lovely and if you have deep pockets by all means but I won’t be one I’ll be purchasing unfortunately.

stephm42120

As much as people say it’s a daytime scent, it really thrives during the nighttime for me. The humidity during the daytime eats this scent and I can’t smell it at all after 2 hours. Spraying during the nighttime leaves this long-lasting citrusy floral drydown after many hours. This is nice for date night or work. It smells classy and clean.

Azisai-

Eau Tendre gets a lot of snobby comments because it is "basic", but when something is truly high quality and made with precision I think it's still worth it, even if you don't smell completely unique. But ET deserves the love it does get because it's effortlessly attractive. The sillage/longevity are great, at least in EDP form, and the fragrance is sparkly, sunny, feminine, basically everything you need in an everyday scent.

I can forgive Eau Tendre for resembling others fragrances, because even if it does have a fruity floral dna it does it right...and still has that little something to it. It may be the Chance dna, whatever it is, it's still seamless. Perfect gift, or good office choice.

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is the first Chanel scent I ever grew to love. (As a convenient aside, men tend to go crazy for it too.) She's fresh, bright, lovely, and an instantaneous favorite. Safe for work in any setting, but certainly better in warmer weather. This scent is very immature compared to the rest of what Chanel has to offer; there is little to no musk in this scent, a far cry from the powdery scents we've come to expect, and it remains an up-beat tangy/citrusy floral throughout the whole composition.

Since finding this fragrance, I have also grown to love Beige and Gardenia in the Les Exclusifs line.

Perazim

I wanted to love it so badly! Plus. - the way everyone describes it is exactly what I want! Fresh, light, inoffensive, everyone will like it.
I dont know if it is the citrus… yea I guess. It just smells like some bathroom/toilet refresher. Same for the edt. Just think of it while smelling it.
Plus a man said that too

kcoughlin

Flora, fresh and sweet. This is what I would have wanted to smell like in college. I don't think it fits my personality anymore though.

caraxo

The pretty, popular girl in school with a sweet and innocent personality. Evokes memories of fresh-picked bouquets and ladies' tea parties. This fragrance is youthful, enchanting, and beautifully balanced. Lasts 7+ hours on my skin with pretty great sillage. I get lots of compliments on this one, especially from my girlfriends - they love to borrow it! Definitely a great scent for when you want to smell pretty and be crowd-pleasing. A fantastic signature that shines in warmer weather.

vanillaflower77

So when are they going to do a extrait?
I will be first in line. Would be great for Xmas 2021 😁

Nanalvzpink

Very nice soapy perfume.
This lasts longer on the skin than COCO Mademoiselle.

If this is your first bottle, I recommend that you purchase a small size.
Like Mademoiselle, I made the mistake of purchasing the big bottle and now I am ready to part ways with it forever. Lol. They are just one of those perfumes that you want to experience, but not marry.

Oooh, the more I wear it, the more I appreciate it. It's gentle but definitely there. Not unique, but that also means it is not offensive. No note comes off stronger than the other (which is good because I hate strong citrus and strong rose). Doesn't come off as too old school or too young. It's a scent for someone who is past their teenage years, past naivety and frivolity, but not yet disillusioned by life. Feels classic without being cliche. Is it innovative? No. But it's a safe perfume.

bolla2909

I love Chance Eau Tendre. It's everything I need it to be. It's simple yet intriguing, light yet has a presence. It's not groundbreaking, and there are plenty of fragrances that lean in this direction. You might call it basic, I call it easygoing. It is literally quince, rose and musk. In that order. It is sharp at first but mellows out rather fast. It's not your typical perfume as the musk acts like a "your skin but better" note and because of that I feel it can turn quite seductive. The musk leaves an aura in a sense, people aren't necessarily sure if you have something on, or if you just naturally smell like this. If sprayed on skin I can smell it many hours later but it isn't noticeable unless you are sitting right next to me. If I spray it on clothes I have a nice little scent bubble around me for 12 hours and I have had people make comments on it after many hours of wearing it. Therefore, I have no issues with longevity or projection. But as with all "aura" perfumes, Chance Eau Tendre is soft and airy and perhaps not noticeable enough to some. Also, the Chanel quality is there. This is high quality all the way.

A dear friend of mine, who is not that into fragrance, asked me if I was wearing something new shortly after I had bought it. I told her yes I was, and asked if she liked it. She paused, squinted her eyes a bit before answering;

"Yes. It smells like happiness."

I couldn't have worded it better myself. It really does smell like happiness 💕

Based how much I've seen this mentioned, I expected a kind of ultimate fresh and fruity floral fragrance. When I first sprayed it, I felt it was 'okay.' Certainly not bad at all, but it does smell like a very generic basic fresh fruity floral scent I would find at the drug store (though obviously better quality). There's something nostalgic in this scent to me though that makes me think of it as a lot younger smelling too, and could be influencing my perception. It's not exact, but does remind me some of Calvin Klein Endless Euphoria (which for that, I had said was very fresh and clean and like you stepped out of a shower smelling, which applies here as well). It's something that's a beginner scent that's pleasant and fresh, safe, but artificial smelling.

This is definitely very girly, and again, to me, young smelling. It's very fresh and does have a classiness to it, too. There is decent projection as well from at least arm's length.

5 minutes after applying and I do have to say, now that it's not like basically just citrus, there is a nice floral scent directly on the skin. It's the rose, and then mixed with quince as well. It's bright and like a fresh sunny spring day.

30 minutes in and it's got more of an aquatic touch, that starts to remind me some of Bright Crystal. It also is still projecting quite a bit, so I am impressed with that.

1 hour later and it's gone down quite a bit in strength in projection, but it's still softly projecting about 5" from the skin. It's slightly musky, too.

I'll see how long this lasts.

2 hours later and it's a lot less strong. It's a lighter skin scent and a bit more musky as well. I do get stronger whiffs here and there popping up though.

4 hours later and it's basically gone, just a very light fresh and musky skin scent left you need your nose to your arm to smell.

*Update*: 7 hours later, my boyfriend sat down next to me and asked me what I was wearing. He then said with a slightly scrunched nose, "It smells very generic. Is it popular or something? It smells like it's kinda familiar" Now, he has just started getting into fragrances himself so his nose might be a bit more discerning than the typical guy now, but I thought it was very interesting the first thing he said about it as well was that it was generic.

clairesque

I bought a sample of this as a "nicer" alternative to Daisy Marc Jacobs as I've frequently seen the two compared and I enjoy Daisy.

On first wear of this, I was put off by the ultra-sharp, sour citrus in the top notes but the heart and base notes were wonderful, so I've tried it again. On second wear the opening is much less sharp. I get more of a sweet fruitiness with just a hint of sour, rather than the overpowering sourness of the grapefruit I got on the first wear. It also smells more like Daisy on the second wear for some reason, perhaps it's because the shared grapefruit note is more mellowed.

Once the top notes fade, there's a bit of soapiness to Chance Eau Tendre - it smells like showering at a fancy hotel where you get samples of expensive shampoo and soap. The florals come through very soft and delicate, and over time a very mild sweetness (I swear I get the faintest hint of vanilla) comes through, and in those ways I do see why this is often compared to Daisy. It's got that same light floral freshness. This is a scent that can work for any age, but it does have a youthful quality that most Chanels don't. I love clean fragrances so I find myself drawn to this one, it is plain but very pleasant.

I do find it a very basic and understated fragrance for the price; however, the execution is perfection. You just couldn't ask for a more perfect feminine floral clean scent that is always sure to please. I can't describe how, but there is something seriously intoxicating about it - This is the sort of perfume where people who smell it on you won't ask what scent you're wearing, they will just think you smell amazing. I'd consider this a safe blind buy or gift for anyone who likes clean, feminine scents.

nelliebabes

I kept seeing this all over Tik Tok and social media...so I had to dust off the cobwebs and try it out again.

.. My favorite intersection in fragrance is fruity meets bright floral-- so I've tried over 40 fragrances in that family over the years. Chance smells like all of them combined, then diluted by half. I could think of about 20 more unique fragrances similar to Chance Eau Tendre... that really make you FEEL something. It's very, very basic.

cherrycola2021

Too soft..i cant smell anything

RoseJam2020

I have a hard time smelling it after 1.5 hours but people who draw near seem to find it complimentary…

JasminePetal

It's really quite nice, but it's not really special. I guess I expected more, glad I tried a sampler first. I do really like it, but for the name and brand I would expect something a little less generic, or more interesting. It's quite zesty as well, the florals are difficult to find beneath it, the rose comes out a bit later.

Sirila

I really liked the opening but then it somehow turns into something kind of nice but boring and vaguely annoying at the same time. If I should explain what I think it reminds me of, it is just a fresh shower with nice but no unique nor expensive soaps and shampoos. Nothing special in my opinion.

LEM922

Sampled this today and I gotta say.... everybody hypes the EDT version, but I like this one way better. It has that same classy "Chanel" DNA that all their perfumes have... but its a very straightforward citrus-y rose. Comparing this to the last citrus rose I tried (Miss Dior Rose 'n Roses) its definitely heavier and not as effervescent, however it is very light, classy, and hits the balance between modern and old fashioned. I really like this one. Still debating on which one I want to pick up between this one and RNR. This one leans a bit sweeter (but not in a candy floss way), but I quite like it. Looks like its gonna be a tough decision for me!

ayaamaya

Smells divine, light, happy, summery, simple, clean.
Sometimes it goes a little tart on me.

But overall, i like it. It's like taking a sniff of light and happiness :)

joyceisblasian

I like this one, but I don't know if I like it enough to buy. It's very bright, floral and feminine and just smells very fresh and clean. But I sometimes wonder if I like it only because everyone else likes it.

Ellsa

Come on...Chanel you can do better than that!

rubics14

I love it. Not ground breaking... However, every-time I'm having an off day and my mood is all mixed up i wear this and it makes things better. I dont know if its the grapefruit and jasmin combined that give it this freshness like a garden sprinkler hitting you with a splash in the midst of summer but its so juicy and refreshing in the most prettiest way.

shiningyuzu

It’s nice! Probably Chanel’s most girly, sweet scent, yet this isn’t girly or sweet at all! It’s feminine and it’s sweet in a light floral way, not in a childish, sugary, high school, Victoria Secret, Ariana Grande way. There’s no sugar or candy in this at all. This fragrance a young sophisticated adult starting her life.

It’s still young, though, I honestly don’t think I could see someone over 30 wear this daily. This is the College student, a young adult at her first internship type of youthful.

I haven’t tried the EDT version, which I see more people rave about, but this EDP isn’t a bad choice as a starter fragrance!

All this being said, this is very generic. I’ve smelled about a thousand women who’ve smelled like this. This isn’t head-turning or anything like that. It’s a very perfume-smelling perfume if you get what I mean. Not sure if I’d spend $100 on this when you can find something more worth the money. A good choice though, if you do decide to purchase.

Scent: 7.5/10

Would recommend a blind buy if you want a safe feminine scent.

Speaking as a guy, I really enjoy this. It’s uplifting to be in the company of. Chance Eau Tendre EDP smells to me like crisp roses with very green stems splashed with a drizzle of grapefruit juice. It comes across as very feminine and sweet, and draws a quick mental image of springtime. It’s like fields of wildflowers in bloom that seem to paint the entire world in the pastel colors of Easter.

The scent itself comes off very linear to me, that fresh green rose is the majority of what you’ll get here. And it is very tender, comforting and enjoyable. I get a bit of a powdery vibe as Eau Tendre dries down, but it’s very polite and adds extra nuance to the florals. This is just an easy to wear scent that makes someone like me feel more colorful and optimistic as they experience it. As a rose lover, especially when more natural in feel without a lot of added sweetness, this is one to be excited about.

Scandipersian

This to me is very different from my beloved Eau Tendre edt!!! This is powdery rose and iris much more reminiscent of modern n 5 flankers, where as edt version is sparkling, juicy, fruity and uplifting. No freshness of that kind here, just a very exclusive soap smell on my skin! On paper strip though, it had a faint resemblance to other Chanel Chance parfums.
I am glad I didn’t just go out buy it based on reviews here. Will rather get the edt.

Bopha85

This is a beautiful moderately fruity clean smell. When I smell this perfume on me, I always envision a lady with a white shirt tucked into a high waist, pleaded knee length skirt with high heels. It definitely makes you feel elegant and put together. For me, 4 sprays will last me the whole day. Moderate projection and sillage scent is pleasant.

Cool and fresh, exudes cleanliness and romance. It's not very complicated. It opens acidically, but with a sweet feeling, and in the process the skin is wrapped by a cloud scented with soap, powder and rose. Like the freshly cut pink roses, which have dewdrops on their petals. At the end of the inhalation, I can spot a metallic note. A very elegant and tender easy-to-wear creation. Youthful and sophisticated !

Iam in my third bottle. This is my signature scent, I received a lot of compliments all the time. Well done chanel! This is refined, chic, fancy, feminine, youthful, soft, unique. It smells a little bit like vince camuto fiori; but this second perfume lacks the expensive smell, is more generic, while chanel is, you know.... a chanel!
My favorite of all times. The parfum last longer than the eau de toilette, but still the same scent, just a little bit more concentrated.

amandadevi51

I got sample for this perfume for me its nice but average smell.. it’s doesn’t have unique smells..

iremis

Never smelled a Chanel perfume that made me go WOW so far. This one is no exception, its nice, feminine and kind of zesty, a bit sharp at first. Later, it becomes clean and shampoo like rose. The soapy rose note is balanced with citrus so this a “fresh” perfume for me, therefore this is one of these fragrances i can spray after shower.

Its not a unique smell at all but i cant think of another one that smells like this right now, im sure someone more into perfumes than me can. The dupes wont be as “expensive” smelling im sure, but the luxurious feeling when i wear this doesnt justify the price, especially when the longevity is this bad. Im glad to hear on others it lasts about 8-12 hours. Unfortunately on my skin it becomes a skin scent in 2 hours and lasts for 4 hours at most. Perhaps in summer this perfume will reach its peak performance and i’ll be able to enjoy if for longer.
I feel like they wanted to make a delicate perfume and ended up making a weak one. Its definitely “watered down”. However, i’ll continue to wear it to work since its a crowd pleasing non-divisive scent. Also its undeniably pretty.

Naomie

It reminds me of something good but cannot figure out what is was. The scent is very similar to the d&g light blue, possibly because of the citrus vain in it but it doesn’t go that far and the heart note wouldn’t be citrusy, more towards jasmine, very delicate, then it becomes slightly musky at the base note but not the drastic nose catching musk again it’s very soft, very delicate feminine musk, making a statement without breaking in the house kinda musk. Longevity is incredible, I can still smell it on my skin next day. So far so good, not like anything can go wrong with a Chanel perfume anyways 👌🏽

Sunkissed

My intial reaction was to think Eau Tendre EdP smells like a fancy and expensive shampoo and it looks like many reviewers agree with me.
Rosy, jasminy, a little green and pretty sour... A sourness that is probably coming from the grapefruit. That's what gets me. I'm not sure if I like the grapefruit or not. Sometimes I love it. Sometimes it makes me think of a fancy deodorant? Hmmm. I keep going back and forth with it, sniffing it again and wondering what I really think of it, but I admit the sourness is what makes the scent more interesting.

It does have that "just showered" feeling. It's very youthful. Perfect for spring and summer. If you are a person who likes to smell good, but not really like perfume, this is a must try. It could also be a really good gift because it's very popular and easy to enjoy.
Moderate to intimate sillage. Very long lasting on my skin.

Update: I am wearing it again today and I had to edit my review. It's just too grapefruity, too cistrusy, too zesty for me. But I would like to give it another try in the future.
It would be a good grab and go. I can see why others like this, it's popular for a reason, but I don't like it very much on myself.

Update: I just found out my mom got herself Chance Eau Tendre EdP and completely finished the bottle, but I was never able to smell it on her... And trust me, I would remember the scent. She said she liked it but apparently it had terrible fixation on her skin and didn't project much. It does the opposite on me! So try it on your skin before purchasing it.

Fiorii

Just wanted to mention first that I am very new to perfume and my nose isn’t that great at picking up on details.

I saw this in the recommendations of some of my favorites and decided to give it a try. Thankfully I only purchased a sample since it’s not really my style. To me it leans towards sickeningly sweet, with a fruity baby powder scent. I described it to my husband as apple pie with baby powder on top instead of powdered sugar.

soapycast

It opens with sharp citrus, on the verge of green and slightly sweet. It turned me off at first but I decided to give it a chance. The dry down is creamier than you would expect, softly floral with a minimally edible scent I can't describe. It's musky and sweet, but not cloyingly so, and is just a great all around scent. You literally could wear this anywhere. The florals don't smell watery/wilted and the sillage is not massive, which I find nice for a perfume like this. It makes you want to smell it more. If sprayed on pulse points it lasts a good 8 hours. A lot of people are saying this is good for summer. Maybe it's just my body chemistry, but this for me works better in the fall/winter. 9/10

shavier

Chance Eau Teundre has been my signature scent for years. I've gone through at least 10 bottles or more. I've also had the complete line - deodorant, hair mist, lotion, body cream, Moisture Mist, shower gel, etc. Love, Love Love it and I was always complimented whenever I wore it by both men and women. It would literally last all day. Being in the pandemic having on masks and face shields... I can't even smell the perfume on myself now : (
Can't wait to breathe freely again while out and about. : )

delrity

This lasts me more than 12 hours probably due to my warm body temperature. Love both the opening and dry down

SheScent88

I purchased this for myself on my birthday and honestly it was love at first sniff! I’m sure this will be my signature scent from here on out. It’s a really pretty fragrance and it makes me feel good. I would personally wear this all year long morning and night. Also my husband loves it on me so that’s a plus! Can’t go wrong with this ladies! This is good good in my opinion.

microbrad

This scent is just...perfect! I don't know why, but I don't get rose. What I would describe this as is a lovely grapefruit top note with a nice floral, more white than rose (definitely not an old-lady type of rose), and then a musky light cedar base note. This scent is so well blended and smells young and fresh. I consider this my signature scent!!

Eureka's Castle

Smells JUST like Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. If you have D&G LB, you don't need this.

scentnut

I can’t take the EDT version. I couldn’t get past the very sharp quince and grapefruit opening. Being a Chanel junkie however found me lurking on here reading all the positive reviews about the EDP version. I ordered a sample and this is the evolution.

*Paper test - meh, smells like shampoo, boring but different from the EDT for sure. Almost didn’t even test on skin.
*Skin test 8 a.m. - well this is much nicer than the EDT. Soft, not overbearing, lovely. The quince and grapefruit fade quickly.
*10 a.m. - #%*! this smells good! Rose, Jasmine and musk are balanced and emitting a soft projection. This is where she stays on me.
*1 p.m. on the Chanel website during lunch and almost ordered a bottle.
*6 p.m. still present but not overbearing. Still quite lovely. Great quality IMO.

I will wear it a couple of more days before deciding whether to purchase but I am already tempted. Also I had taken a break from all scents for a couple of days so I believe this is why I could smell it all day. It’s different from my regulars so that helped I am sure.

Edit: the second wearing presented with more grapefruit. It also reminds me of Intimately Beckham which I still have so no purchase for now but maybe in the future.

Update: six weeks later - I bought a small bottle (which is simply adorable). By spring I am ready for simple and clean and this is just right. The opening is still a tad sour for me but it morphs into such a lovely thing quickly. It is an uplifting and “happy” scent that brightens my day!

LoveThySmell

This is the epitome of a well balanced and rounded fragrance. My nose detects a slight Coco Mademoiselle vibe in the opening but the similarity ends then and there. A beautiful clean and classy fragrance, which I feel is apt for almost any time and any event. Longevity could have been better but projection is decent. Wearing Chance Eau Tendre feels like you are still in the aftermath of a long bath of flowers, with the mist enveloping you. It is not a "punch on the gut" perfume, more like a soft breeze. Love it.

denneplayer

This is a very classy and elegant perfume. It has a more rosey smell than sweet smell which I enjoy. I find it very similar to Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche and other Chanel perfumes. I am not certain about this because I'm not an expert nor tried all of the Chanel fragrances, but it seems to me that most of the chanel fragrances for women in this price range, are very similar - like they have the same base notes.

I like this but I can find it a little boring.

marthaelena

I was not expecting this to be such a compliment getter!
Then I just found out that this was a runner up of the best fragrances year 2020.
Is very pretty and classy, and it projects without being loud. Maybe is just me but this is one Chanel that have little Chanel DNA, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Highly recommended

Magifera

I wish people stopped complaining about the cost of fragrances. If you cannot afford it, if it too expensive for you, stick to cheaper brands, don't use perfume at all, nothing wrong with that. But how dare you to criticize an excellent fragrance based on YOUR income? Petty. The cost should never be a criteria for rating a scent.

Mc1995

It’s quite nice. Surprisingly no Neroli listed in the notes or gardenia... this kind of reminds me of a more subtle, floral version of Versace Crystal Noir, but I think that one is actually better with more longevity and more creamy. This is pretty simple but still enjoyable and versatile.

justlikemagic

Oh, gosh - this is super lovely. I often think Chanel is an elegant and sophisticated house - but one that veers far too mature for my personal tastes. This, however, is light and fresh, a rose that unfolds itself smoothly and pleasantly. The longevity isn't as strong as I'd like, but the scent is so heavenly.

Aishxaaax

Smells quite mature to me which I was not expecting, a bit disappointed in this one. Don't think I would recommend anyone under 23 to blind buy this.

UPDATE: had this for over a month now and for some reason, I just keep going back to it. I think it's really growing on me!

lauren.smells

Chance Eau Tendre EDP was my original perfume love. It is a gorgeous scent: fresh, sweet, immediately attractive. Like too many first loves however, this wasn't destined to last. I mean that quite literally: the scent is gorgeous but within a few hours, it would fade to the point where I could hardly smell it on my wrist. I was left applying it frequently throughout the day, watching my money spray into oblivion. La tristesse.

CarrieWhite

I really likes this perfume. It's fresh, clean and classy too. Perfect for warm and hot days. I prefer the EDP version.

Lbc19005

I like this scent. I originally bought it thinking it was the EDT. But once, I smelled it I knew it wasn't. This EDP is more floral and less fruity than the original EDT. It still smells very good though. To me I get a powdery/musky rose scent, with a tiny hint of grapefruit zest. It is a really nice scent and brings in compliments. Long lasting and great sillage. You can definitely smell it on yourself without trying to. Great Scent. A more adult version of the EDT. Yet, I think I still prefer the EDT a bit more.

aflakes

I love this fragrance. I had the EDT back in 2016 and after I ran out, I never purchased another bottle. I was trying many new fragrances back then. However, when I recently smelled a sample this year, I fell in love all over again! I ended up receiving a full bottle of the EDP from my grandmother for Christmas, and I was sooo happy. It's very similar to the EDT but better and longer-lasting. I instantly receive compliments when I wear it! Out of all the fragrances I own, this is honestly the only fragrance that truly fits my style and my personality. It's perfect to wear all year round too. This will be my signature scent as I just can't get enough of it. I will definitely be buying another bottle of this beautiful concoction!

Parisian Midnight

its so fruity and pleasant, its soooo friendly and approachable like a smiling woman just happy
I just love Chanel gift sets just because of the presentation and this year the 5.0 oz and the 1.2 oz in the set was cute...but i miss the one from last year, the perfume and body lotion. My dream set would be a 3.4 oz bottle, the lotion and a 10 ml purse spray but...I am dreaming cause Chanel would never do that. Love this perfume, Love Chanel but their sets are disappointing. Its like someone there says, how can we make this completely impractical ..opposite of all other brands of perfume sets.. yeah lets go!
Getting back to the smell, its just pure beauty and radiance galore

nitschevo

I like this a tad better than the EDT, although on some it might still turn a tad too sour. However it's really really nice and I agree with the statement below. Daisy and Tendre are definitely cooked up in the same kitchen...

I've been wearing a sample on and off for the last couple days and on me - at least - longevity is really good. Whiffs throughout the day with 3 spritzes. On clothes it's still noticeable after a few days.

Easy to wear fruity -floral, rosy fresh, clean and polished. No brainer. To be honest - I've been searching for something like this so ding-dong. Maybe a purchase is on the horizon

Boppidy

To me, this smells like the grown up sister of MJ Daisy. Very pretty, citrusy floral. I managed to snag a bottle nice and cheap, still sealed, on the secondhand market, but I couldn’t see myself buying this at full price!

The longevity isn’t fantastic as mentioned a few times above and I feel like after an hour or two I need to reapply; not ideal for the price point!

That being said, definitely a beautiful, fresh perfume that i feel I’m going to just LOVE come summer time!

BlondieCurls

This is so, so pretty - this and the EDT are very similar but the EDP is a little deeper, slightly sweeter than the EDT. The fragrance is fresh and clean but definitely smells high end and elegant, it has the feel of a garden after the rain where the sun comes out and you can smell the early roses and the greenery of the garden with the other flowers in the background with a dust of powder. Like the smell of someone beloved fresh out of the bath, its name ' Tendre' suits it well. Give it a chance if you're unsure on first sniff as it really is beautiful and the perfect scent for any occasion, you'll always smell fresh and elegant wearing this. I remember a fragrance by No 7 back in the 1970's called Rainflower and Chance Eau Tendre EDP reminds me of a less green version of that.

miem1004

This is one of the perfume of which I love both EDT and EDP version. Same perfume, different main notes.

For EDT I love the vibrant, fresh smell of citrus. It reminds me of a sunny day with a glass of lemonade, having the best of summer vacations.

In EDP, wow it smells totally different. The EDP smells floral-ly, the flower notes enriched the perfume thus make it classier and elegant. One totally can wear this for office and formal setting.

Kudos Chanel!

LIR

Gorgeous. Lovely, floral, bright, sweet, and complex. I was convinced I needed a full bottle after testing for the first time. It was heady and addictive. I was in love.

Unfortunately, two hours later it was totally gone. I don't just mean faded to a skin scent, I mean literally gone, I could smell no trace of it at all on my skin. I'm very disappointed. I enjoyed it so much but for the price bracket expect something more lasting. Pity.

wallywinthrop

This is really beautiful. I have the EDP and this EDP, this one is a little heavier on the fruit and rose and jasmine. Sparkling and clear, very feminine and elegant. It is sweet like springtime, like the scent of flowers on a breeze with sunlight peeking through pale pink gauze curtains. Combine it with Chanel nail polish in Ballerina and that Lirika Matoshi strawberry dress everyone's raving about on the internet <3

Heleniko

Beautiful fragrance with very poor longevity and aura. Too expensive for this performance. I think every new Chanel I bought is weaker than previous. Such a shame...

boog_boog

im confused, because my liquid isnt pink? i got it from ulta. Its more of a orangish color and yes its eau tendre edp.. anyone else with this issue?

Lullabyscent91

This one has more rose notes..I just keep smelling the rose when i spray this on..still have that shampooish vibe but not as the edt , the lasting power is of course greater than the edt..might as well grab this one.Its a very unoffensive scent, good for daytime wear and suprisingly i like to used this when the weather is getting cold, ( I live in humid country, cold because of the rainy season)..but it just an ok fragrance

GoodVibrations

Real flowers up close and very personal. Exquisite depth. Fresh stamina. Authentic femininity and confident womanhood. This is where citrus and floral go beyond the medium of fragrance and become art for human interaction.

Smells like very pretty expensive shampoo. I love it! Call me crazy, but an hour after spraying this smells very close to Mojave Ghost by BYREDO. They have a similar floral shampoo smell. So perfect for work or occasions were you don't want a lot of projection. FB worthy for me this spring!

light, fresh rosy fruits on a bed of white musk and grapefruit. at first, it smells like freshly washed hair to me, which is how a lot of fresh fruity scents read to me. after awhile the quince gets subtler and it's primarily grapefruit, jasmine and white musk. this is not really my personal style but i can appreciate it's light, pretty freshness. it'd be lovely to wear to a picnic on a bright spring day.

I already think the original EDT is overrated but this one is the worst of the Chance perfumes. There is something sharp about this version that doesn't sit well on my skin. I know the ET is a popular choice but I think it is too young and that is probably because of the floral and fruity mix. I find that this is not as clean and fresh on me as others.

I am so very dissapointed. This Edp is strong only upon application. In one hour, there is very faint trace left on my skin. No sillage,no longevity...I am going to gift it to someone who appreciates very airy perfumes with non-existant aura...

kiraagold

A good bossy stewardess perfume.
Matter-of-fact grapefruit and grinning roses and brisk musk, but not inviting or invasive.

Starched silk suits on top, sir-take-your-seat-please on the bottom.

i adore this fragrance! its pretty and last a very long time. its not too strong but its very pleasant

I prefer the EdP to EdT. They smell very, very similar, both clean and fresh, but EdP is more potent and more floral (rose more noticeable), more ‘perfumey’. Longevity is also better here. Sillage is perfectly moderate for a few hours, then gets close to the skin but lasts all day. EdT has pathetic longevity on me, so I’m glad the EdP exists. This soft citrusy floral has many ‘smell-alikes’ out there, but none are as refined imho. Dries down abit powdery. Not unique or a show stopper, but very pretty and versatile. Wonderful for spring/summer, and suitable for even the hottest of days (and all year round really). If you want a budget friendly version, I highly recommend Lanvin Eclat Fleur (which I also owned and used up happily), probably not as smooth, but it’s excellent for the price.

This perfume is clean, classy, beautiful, well-behaved, and refined. It makes me feel pretty and put-together.

It makes me think of what a Vogue intern would wear on her first day - or maybe a popular girl at a private school.

Eau Tendre opens with a bright burst of quince and red fruits. Dries down into something sweeter, softer and drier - the powder comes into its own as well as the florals and white musk.

I have never thought of it as my signature, although I've gone through yearlong phases of wearing it every day - I guess, although beautiful, our personalities will never really match.

Sorry if you think the edt and edp are identical you need to train your juvenile nose better! They are absolutely not the same the edp is sweeter and more floral heavy making it more suitable for the winter....the edt is more daytime spring/summer appropriate! They both last almost the same amount of time so go heavy on the trigger!

The high ratings of this fragrance wowed me, Thank God I sampled it before buying. It does smell great, but the headache I got after smelling it lasted for 2 days. Will definitely not purchase.

Ι own both edp and edt and the difference between them is almost zero.
Chance eau tendre edp is just stunning and the only perfume in my life that tempted me to change my signature.
This would be the perfect perfume and one of the most gorgeous in the world, if only it was not so weak. I can hardly smell it after one hour. For an eau de parfum, for a House like Chanel and for all the money it costs, this is just unacceptable!

Anitatexas

By far my favorite perfume in the world.
The eau de toilette didnt last at all on me, but this new parfum last longer, like any other perfume concentration.
The smell is angelical, high queality, finest perfume, perfect fit for a chanel house.
Is well balanced. Not too sweet and not to citrusy.
Love it, my best perfume evér.
The bad side is that u can only find it in a 3.4 oz, when the eau the toilette tendre is available in 5 oz size.

Uplifting and beautiful. The opening is refreshing and a bit zingy grapefruit, later becomes a citrusy rose/musk scent with a little bit of Chanel DNA. I somehow feel like the DNA is a little weak on this one(maybe due to lack of patchouli) but still well-blended and clean scent.
Definitely not an evening scent which I usually prefer, but perfect for everyday/work. It doesn’t have too much of a loud sillage but longevity itself is nice.

AMH19

This is the most overrated perfume in the house of Chanel. I know it is a popular scent, especially with younger women but I personally find it to be too sweet and something about it turns me off. One of the few Chanel perfumes I do not care for.

carabara84

This is pure joy in a bottle to me. It is vivid, juicy, girly, and bright. If I'm having a day and I'm feeling crappy, this is what I reach for to really uplift my spirits. When I want to just feel like a girly girl, this is what I put on. Pink is the only color for this juice. It's the pinkest of pink in character. I also own Chance EDT and Eau Vive EDT. I don't think I'll ever own Eau Fraîche as I think it's too like the original (EDT) to justify owning both.
For an example on how happy this makes me: I wore this to get a tattoo last week with my sister and sister-in-law. I went first and my ink was done in an hour, but I then had to wait another 6 hours for them to get theirs done as well (long story). Every time I began to feel like I couldn't stay in that shop one more second, I just smelled my shirt and it made it just a touch more bearable. Ha! Still can't believe we were there that long.

winikrose

A plausible skin scent. Meaning you don’t smell like a jolly rancher or a flower it’s more of a clean lovely skin melding scent. Chance Tendre parfum is different from the edt which is also lovely but the added touch of rose... mad love

olliesmom

I love this Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. Citrusy rose with Chanel signature musk. Light soft and very uplifting. The scent comes and goes. It started strong and it dies down softer over time, but it doesnt change to other scent. It is a little expensive for what it is but like any Chanel, it projects class and beauty. Well done!
