Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2017) by Dior is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women. Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2017) was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is François Demachy. Top notes are Pink Pepper, Blood Orange, Sweet Orange, Mandarin Orange, Calabrian bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Grasse Rose, Damask Rose and Jasmine Leaf; base notes are Patchouli and Palisander Rosewood.

New Miss Dior Eau de Parfum edition comes out in September 2017, created by Dior perfumer Francois Demachy. The face of advertising campaign is actress Natalie Portman. The fragrance is advertised with slogans like "Miss Dior for love", "Dior for love" and "And what about you? What would you do for love?".

The composition is announced as an elegant floral, with dominant notes of roses, the Damask rose and the May rose from Grasse, to be precise. The rest of the composition consists of a fresh opening of lemon, mandarin and pink pepper and a sensual accord in the base that includes rosewood and patchouli.

It is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I got this perfume at the end of 2018 on a whim and now I have the tiniest bit of juice left and it makes me soooo sad. This was my moms signature scent so I wear this if I'm missing her or if I want to smell something comforting. I can't believe it's been re-formulated again. I decided to spray some on myself today and I can smell the rosy florals and patchouli. I am getting some musk as well. It's kind of sweet on my skin too which I love. This is a 10/10. I will save this for as long as possible since I can't get this anymore.

archerries

It's fine.... reminds me of poison girl without the caramel notes. It's still sickly sweet (the blood orange, lemon and roses all duplicated in this fragrance) but with a more musky dry down. I dislike Demachy's scents.

tanny_ups

Selling this perfume for AUD 120. In melbourne - Australia

Ferra_Verto

Spicy roses and citrus with a supporting patchouli. It has some of that effervescence I associate with Miss Dior, but with the citrus factor dialed up much higher with a nice creaminess from the rosewood. Reminds me a bit of Coco Mademoiselle in the opening, very much a Chanel-esque intro.
This is best in warm weather, can't be too hot or cold.
Lasts all day on my skin, sits slightly above arm level.

chimidoro

The first time I tried this, I held out some hope, for all of five minutes as I sauntered away from the store, it smelled of the most wonderfully fragrant Turkish rose....
Until the scent transformed before my very nose into some crap I've smelled here, there and everywhere a million times before.
A real shame.
ABHOR.

VCer

It's okay but nothing new. Still one of the best dior perfumes due that citrus top note, reminder of Chanel dna.

jazzyjuice

this fragrance is just a bit too mature for me. it has a bit of an old lady vibe to it, however i think it's great for job interviews and the like. it's sweetness is very well balanced by the patchouli and rosewood, and although it gets great compliments, i don't find myself reaching for it that often. i do love the spice element.

(Not a review!) @Vmonrl - I just bought an authentic Tester bottle from Mercari for only $127. Oohhh the memories! There’s a few more (nice dark juice) that I would have purchased had I not found my seller.
If you decide to do so, make sure you ask the seller questions before you make the purchase (for proof if a refund is needed). I’ll always ask - is this authentic, if they’re the original seller, where did they purchase, what’s the batch code (if any) & how do they store their perfumes. I also look at their reviews.
Honestly, I trust Mercari more than eBay. If for any reason you buy an inauthentic product, Mercari will give you your money back. I hope this helps. Good luck 😊

Vmonrl

Loved this perfume! My mom gave it to me as a gift back in 2017 and it lasted me 4 years and I threw the bottle away not knowing it was discontinued!! I’ve been looking for it but had no luck. Please if someone has this perfume and is willing to sell it to me🥲 please, please send me a message.

brandybasisty

I'm still not sure how I feel about this one- the opening smells delicious with bright oranges, the Dior pink rose and a tickle of pink pepper. But that opening lasts only a few minutes for me, and the fragrance turns into a sugary hard candy that overwhelms my nose. You know when you eat something that's so spicy you can't taste anything else? That's how I feel about the sweetness of Miss Dior 2017. Several hours later, I start to get the rosewood note that's reminiscent of Dior Dune- but only after enduring that overwhelming sweetness- like a loukoum candy that has too much sugar, not enough flavour, and just tastes like glucose syrup. I wish that middle stage was shorter for me, but I'll wait for another cold snap to see if I get something different.

DONNA VARSIK

my all time favorite miss dior flanker. glad i bought 2 bottles.

DreamInCream

This one is a keeper. The citrus, blood orange, sweet orange, mandarin along with the pink pepper are beautiful and last a long time. The citrus is not too sharp, but fresh and delicious. The sweetness from the roses is all rose, no sugar and not too sweet. Jasmine does not take over as it sometimes can (maybe because it is jasmine leaf) nor does the patchouli. Rosewood brings it home with some creamy and very delicate woodiness. A beautiful parfum and beautiful sillage and longevity.
Mine is the 2017 vers. Warm and ambery juice. One or two sprays of all day and night loveliness. This is not ultra-modern nor too mature, just elegance.

perfumequeen234668

I have this perfume.. would anyone like to swap for absolutely blooming or anything else

Snowhiteey

This is the best so far,I love l, I love.

NB99

I love the ad for this perfume. It was fun to watch.
The frag.....not so much. I hate when people use adjectives like "boring" "generic" etc. because I'm far from a frag snob. But this truly is BORIIINNG. Realistic floral scent, mixed with slightly sharp peppery citrus. It's like the "stereotypical" feminine perfume (is the best way I can describe it).

Bondno9girl

I have a batch from 2017 made in July 2017 and wow!! I bought a backup bottle from 2019 and it smelled different, more citrus. Maybe the top notes of 2017 version have worn off but it also dries down sweeter and is soooooo potent. This thing has macerated to beast mode. I don't love my 2019 at all. So I specifically searched for a batch code from the year of 2017 and I did end up finding a 1.7 ounce bottle even though I wanted a 3.4 ounce like my original bottle but I will take what I can get. So, when I sprayed the 1.7 ounce bottle it smelled exactly like my other 2017 ounce bottle. It's like they added more citrus bright notes in 2019 and the batches made in 2017 were deeper and sweeter. Either way I will be selling my 2019 bottle which I do like, but I don't love like the actual 2017 batches. The color of the juice is getting super dark and just looks so beautiful in the bottle on my fragrance shelf. I only need a couple sprays maybe 8 or so(I overspray everything usually) which is light spraying for me and this lasts and lasts all day with a wonderful sillage. Also you must like patchouli and more mature scents because this is a little powdery. I don't like powdery scents that much, but all the notes work so well together to come up with a timeless classic. I smell hints of coco mademoiselle intense in the top notes but that is all the 2 share. They dry down completely different and I love both of them. I am mentioning this because a lot of people say they are similar but its just the opening notes. The new version of miss Dior is nothing like the 2017 potent gem I own. I will never purchase the new version and cherish the 2 bottles I own. It will take me a long time to get through these 2 bottles anyhow. If you can find a bottle with a batch from 2017 snatch it up, you wont be sorry.

Sexbox1814

Please go back to this formula I don’t see peach listed on the notes but I get a peachy powdery vanilla musk on me and it last it’s sexy the new formula just isn’t it

ForTheLoveOfFrag

I don't know if this is allowed here so, let me know if I should post to the forum:

I have a 3.4oz of the 2017 version, manufacture date April '17. It's been kept in it's original box in my "fragrance" closet with the rest that I have.

Juice level is above the logo plaque. I have the proof of purchase from Ulta in 2021 that I'll send a copy of that and a photo if anyone is interested.

If someone wants to buy let me know!

basma gamal

Coco Noir & Miss Dior 2017 the two sides of the modern classic coin !

I really love these two gems as both are rosy warm amber patchouli well-blended fragrances. For me , they are timeless classic with modern kick that I enjoy so much.

Coco Noir is more earthy grounded towards the patchouli while miss Dior is lighter, sweeter, citrusy, and leans more towards the roses but both are warm and have warm sweet amber dry-down even its not listed in both !!

perfumeaddict87

This is such a beautiful rosy fragrance with a bright zesty bergamot/orange opening. Dries down to a beautiful rosewood and patchouli base. Sweet, soft and deep. Will miss it forever. Such a shame it was discontinued. The new 2021 is a powdery floral. Like a bad version of Flowerbomb mixed with baby powder.

Angeldaisy

Will begin by openly admitting this is the kind of fragrance I would avoid.
But since being surprisingly drawn to Dioramour, Valentino Donna and Petite Robe black (not that alike, I know), and having a familiarity to Absolutely Blooming, I snaffled a bottle online, not knowing whether this was 2012 or 2017. Is 2020, turns out.
I have no previous experience of Miss Dior to make comparisons, other than the vintage Miss Dior, of which I wear both the edt and parfum.
Well, after the initial sweet citrus blast, I can smell strawberries, chocolate (cacao), toffee, amber patch powder and Roses. A little bit fresh/clean and a touch sweet.
It is lovely.

wxbycc

I have a mini bottle of the 2017, if someone wishes to purchase. I liked the opening, but never enough to wear it.

Pat_Chouli

This 2017 version isn't as sweet and generic as the 2021 Miss Dior, but it's still totally different and sweeter than 2012. But it's pleasant. Although 2012 is far better (in my opinion), more complex and balanced.

81ghazal1314

I haven't smelled the 2021 version yet. But I don't understand all the "miss you" letters to this one now. I guess all perfumes have their own fans and some people always get upset when a perfume gets discontinued even if it sucks. But omg this perfume was nothing to miss for me. I immediately gave it to my mom at the time and she still has it. Sometimes I try to enjoy it and I do in the first hour but ughh it lasts too long and gets boring and annoying super fast. It's a literal bar of soup btw. So besides the cute bottle, I don't understand why some think this is for young people or even "coquette aesthetic". It's way more mature than the other MD perfumes. Blooming Bouquet was much better which sadly also got discontinued and the new BB is just boring.

Lalouve<3

Oh dear…what a disappointment…Let me start this review by saying I own 2012 versions of miss Dior edp, this 2017 reformulated version, and as of today the miss Dior Cherie edt. Of all of them the Cherie and the 2012 version of miss Dior edp are my favourite. The Cherie is top (and I so wish I could find the Cherie edp as well), the 2012 version of miss Dior edp is a close second, and this reformulated 2017 version is last. As in…waaaay last…

The aforementioned top 2 perfumes are great, classy, have that great Dior old school dna and are soooo pretty it hurts to think that they are discontinued… but this one, oh dear…this one is a heavy extremely sweetened rose perfume-patchouli bomb that causes migraine, and makes you feel kind of sick, like when you eat a very large amount of sth extremely syrupy sweet. The miss Dior dna is in the background, but its extreme sweetness combined with the strong patchouli makes it unbalanced, stripes it off its refines and makes it a big mess… Why Dior?why?

I am so glad I have 250ml bottles of the previous versions and extremely happy I managed to find the Cherie edt. This one though, is extremely disappointing…

Julie Davis

Found a bottle of the 2017 version that I could afford .. it’s legit , batch code engraved on back of bottle . Arrived yesterday , I am in perfume Heaven ! Never thought I would have it again …but I do ! ❤️❤️❤️

Majuemidio

I’m so sad this was reformulated. I loved this one and always felt so chic while wearing it. Mine broke in my luggage so I went to the store to try the new one and it just can’t compare

Juliusq75

This is a pleasing and pleasant fragrance, I almost always get a compliment wearing it. That said, (Dior if you’re listening.. ) bring back Miss Cherie with the strawberry top note, even a limited run for everyone missing it. Miss Dior is nice and well blended, but Miss Cherie sparkled.

Zahraa555

This is one of the best ones from Dior. Very sad it’s discontinued. This is a heavier patchouli with sweet oranges.. I think Patchouli Imperial from their private collection is very similar imo.

Red Jaguar

I purchased a sample just taking a guess at which "miss dior" was the same one I smelled on a customer recently. This was not it as it turned out. Whatever she was wearing was very fresh and airy and lightly floral, so maybe the EDT or blooming bouquet? I would not purchase this one, though there is nothing wrong with this scent. It's just not a scent type I go for often. Its definately rosy, not juvenile, it has that dark over ripened fruit thing going on. It's not a dupe whatsoever but does remind me of the scent category of coco Mademoiselle or Sofia.

kurroppii

<3 it so much :)
feels very feminine and youthful, it seems sweeter to me than any of the notes would have me believe - to me it smells very powdery and sweet almost like vanilla, rather than citrusy or woody ? also, lovely cute bottle :)
it does seem to disappear rather quickly on my skin which is a shame but there is a slight sweetness that lingers for a while after everything else dissipates

Merelvg

I have an almost full 100ml bottle (i guess 90ml left) that I am willing to sell. My boyfried does not like rose scents on me unfortunately, so I don’t wear it enough. It deserves to be loved!🥰
It is a tester bottle (batchcode 8L1X)
I live in the Netherlands (EU)

dreamypeony

really miss it, saving the last drops to wear on my birthday. it makes me feel really pretty. the patchouli in it is rather sweet and gets nuances of chocolate and the rose is quite fruity and powdery. not a challenging fragrance, its made to be pretty and i love it!

jazzscent13

To my nose: mandarin, vanilla, and rose… but mixed in the most sophisticated way. The performance is amazing. I use this very sparingly because it’s discontinued. Dior should bring this back immediately

KateS2023

My god I love this perfume so much, it's so wearable in all seasons and for daytime and evening . I can't understand why they messed with it to make the new version. Luckily managed to get a stash from ebay recently to keep me going for a long time. RIP this beautiful version!

rebelde06

Lovely perfume. Super sweet and girly

MaiSuwinai

Full bottle 100 ml. for sale. Please sent a message for interrest, only EU :)

FruityPatchouli

It’s really nice, but I’m not sure if it’s nice enough for me to keep. I purchased a full bottle about 2 years ago and I think I’ve worn it twice now. It feels a little powdery in the beginning, and I definitely get the orange. It lasts about 6-7 hours on my skin and in the final stages I smell just rose and vanilla. Not sure why it doesn’t seem to last on other people. I’m sure if I sprayed a bit more it would project nicely, but I’m a 2-3 sprays kinda girl because I don’t want my migraine-prone husband to suffer just because I’m a perfume junkie. Very sophisticated scent, unlike me. Considering selling.

keydday

This WAS the BEST perfume ever. Sadly it’s discontinued. My husband bought me the newer version unbeknownst to me. I opened it and thought, why did they change the bow? They changed the entire scent! The new version is a mellow version of Flower Bomb or La Vie Est Belle. This version was a masterpiece. I could just cry.

Shahdsuliman

THE BEST PERFUME EVER I hate you Dior for discounting this i have a sample size and can never use it bc I don’t want it to finish 😭😭 I just smell it from time to time from the mini bottle I can’t find a perfume I like more than this one if there is any dupes please write them. The EDT is similar but not spot on the EDP is much more intense and beautiful

Dormi

(Not sure which miss Dior I have)
Stereotypically heteronormativly feminine, cosmeticy
Last veerrrry long

Kcbear28

Never mind best Miss Dior. This is best Dior in my opinion. The performance is magical. Everything about it is magical. What isn't magical is how Dior is continuing the whole Miss Dior quest to nowhere :( Oh baby, come back!

Gyps

Stunning fragrance. Great blind buy and I’m happy with it. Really pretty and quite sweet. Nothing like CM.

ssamhita

Best blind buy ever. I bought this because I found a brand new box for a very reasonable price and I know that the 2017 version is not to be found in stores anymore. Funny thing is, I had never been curious about the Miss Dior line until I found Absolutely Blooming for a steal and started learning about the (many many) reformulations of Miss Dior.

The opening reminds me of the fruitiness in Absolutely Blooming. I think it is the blood orange that elevates the opening from just citrusy and turns it luscious sweet and juicy. The scent then turns sweeter - I think I smell caramel - and rich, dense. This is not your fresh dewy rose like Rose N’ Roses. There is no green in this one. This is a voluptuous rose - the thick velvety petals drizzled with sugar, almost candied, placed in a wooden bowl.

I haven’t stopped sniffing my arm since I sprayed this an hour and half ago. If the oil residue on my skin was any indication, I think this will last really well :) Will update after a few wears, but for now, I am truly madly deeply in love

Czill

Just wanted to add appreciation post for Miss Dior 2017. I never had a chance to smell the 2012 version but I know now how the ones that loved it must’ve felt.

Miss Dior 2017 is just stunning, I bought 30ml in 2017 not knowing it was reformulated back then. I loved it through and through. Got 50ml. Savoured it. It made me feel strong and beautiful. In 2021 I came across 100ml on sale and… didn’t buy it. Few months later I’ve learned it’s been reformulated. I tried the 2021 version… and I just couldn’t believe it. It’s not even the same scent. It’s a joke. It’s heavily watered down. Remind me more of blooming bouquet.

I stopped using my leftovers, I want to keep
it forever. 😢

Cupcake11

My only comment is I miss Miss Dior Cherie and 2012 version - owned and was head over heels for both. Very feminine, flirty and less sophisticated versions of Coco Mademoiselle. Never got my nose on 2017, but the new 2021 just sucks...

Itslorr

2017 Miss Dior is not like the other versions. At first I was disappointed it was reformulated because Cherie and 2012 were my favorites. But when I wore this a few times, I fell in love. This is the richest (deepest) in scent and color. It’s beautiful, classy, and comforting. Blood orange, pink pepper, rose, and patchouli are all perfectly balanced. It’s warmth is reminiscent of amber or vanilla. Definitely needs skin to bloom. I understand the similarities with Coco Mademoiselle, but it’s quite different. The rose here is warmer and less tart with the citrus. Beautiful perfume. Moderate longevity, projection, and sillage.

angel1120

After smelling a sample in a magazine I asked for it as a christmas gift. I believe the version I actually liked was blooming bouquet and mistakenly asked for this one. It is a pretty scent, but it definitely gives old lady vibes, reminds me of Chanel. I get mainly rose and pepper. I don't typically go for florals unless sweeter, I prefer sweets and gourmand so I may be biased. The longevity is like no other perfume I've owned though, I can still smell it on my clothes days and even weeks after. I enjoy the dry down much more than the initial spray, I find it to be overpowering. This is the kind of scent that makes its presence known before you even walk in the room.

NDL

This is absolutely stunning. Stronger compared to the new one which I also own and will wear once in a while but I have to say this one is much better and completely different to the 2021.

Once you get past the pungent and assaulting opening, it becomes so rich and opulent. This one needs skin to bloom, doesn’t smell nearly as nice on clothing. So happy I found this at a decent price, will seek out another one for when I run out!

Maabena85

I love it. Will I purchase it yes. It was a gift (50ml and 100ml) . Its sad I never appreciated them before.

violeteme

Flirtatious, coquettish, enticing. A true Miss Dior spirit. Syrupy and dense, almost chocolate-y patchouli with jammy roses and a citrusy touch. Very very beautiful, so disappointing it is discontinued. Might not be something I would wear at this point of my life, but I have a deep bond with Miss Dior and truly root for it to embody that spirit.
Update: the longevity is an upper level, surpassed many expensive, niche perfumes.

Lindsconn

This is nice when you compare it to the shadow of a fragrance that the latest Miss Dior is. I mainly get patchouli from this, so if you’re into that I’m certain 2017 Miss Dior will be for you.

However when you compare this to the 2012 version there is actually no comparison. That version was classy and allowed all its various notes to shine rather than just being a patchouli bomb!

I think if you’re after a Miss Dior ideally the 2012 version is the one to go for, but if you can’t find that one this version is better than the current release.

MauveBee93

My favorite version of the Miss Dior line so far (I also have MD 2012 and 2021).

The rich, deep color of the juice contained inside is a good indicator of this perfume’s personality. I get a primarily sweet, slightly syrupy assortment of roses with a thick patchouli base and a spritz of citrus on top to lighten everything up and prevent the fragrance from becoming too heavy and weighed down.

This is a heavenly, rich and well rounded perfume that makes for an enticing and slightly more “grown-up” scent. I would say that the Miss Dior 2012 is much closer to Chanel Coco Mademoiselle than this version is.

While I find the newest 2021 formulation fine enough, it really pales in comparison to this lavish and sensual fragrance. I am actually quite surprised that they continue to release such wildly different scent profiles under the same “Miss Dior” name. Every version of this perfume is vastly different from the last. I would recommend trying to get your nose on this formula if possible, as the newest reformulation currently out on the market is nothing at all like the delectable Miss Dior from 2017.

bombekmateya

I have 50ml bottle of this, original, opened 3 weeks ago. DM if you want to buy 😁

pichuluc

I blindly bought this perfumes when i heard it was going to be discontinued. I got it form Ebay but I have no idea what smells like or what i was looking for. I have it and I like the smell but I would like to know if someone can tell me where can i get a 2017 Miss Dior perfume, but legit bottle? Can you please let me know?

Tanny_ups2

This perfume is so beautiful! I always get compliments when I wear this. I love it !!

Gioia's secret

I honestly don’t like any perfumes from Dior, they are not bad but not my cup of tea.
I wasn’t planning to write any reviews for any Dior fragrances but I have read last comment where Miss Dior was compared to Coco Mademoiselle, and I disagree with this comparison. I see common notes in both of them which were provided by Fragrantica, but Fragrantica adds notes not only according to the official information provided by perfume house, but also according to the votes provided by usual Fragrantica users. That’s why some perfumes’ pyramids are so messy, so you check official information and you see that half of the notes provided here were never mentioned by perfume house.
When you compare CM with Miss Dior is like compare Twilly with My Way, yep, they have similar notes, but they smell too different to make any comparisons
Update: as I see my balloons that were just yesterday are gone now, that is so childish😂, just save some money and buy Coco Mademoiselle because Miss Dior has nothing to do with CM.

Dashalu

Not sure if it’s the reformulation…but I remember smelling it in my early 20s and thinking that it was really good. I thought it was a good work scent that I wished to own. Testing it today from a macys sample. It’s not very special. It’s very sweet! And reminds me a lot of LVEB from Lancôme (but I’d prefer that one to smell sweet). I get rose here, plus almost like a burnt brown sugar note that is very sweet, and something else I can’t pinpoint - it’s a little green and metallic. There is some blood orange mixed in there with the sweetness but I wish I could smell that more and less of the sugaryness. It’s not terrible but not great either. It’s boring to me. I feel maybe it would be suitable for someone who enjoys a combination of rose and a lot of sweetness.

rqqq

I have both 2017 and 2012 versions, But i can't tell the difference in scents.
The colors are different. 2012 is lighter - Unsure if due to light exposure, 2017 is darker But still orange tone, unlike current miss Dior Which is pink tone.

msamber86

This starts very citrusy. The blood orange is beautiful but it doesn’t last long. For me the lemon based citruses take over, and I get a hint of something spicy/scratchy in the background. I am guessing this is the pink pepper. It serves to balance the citrus, but I find both to be unpleasant. Then the florals come in and they are better than the citruses. The mix of rose and jasmine leans sweet. I almost thought there was some amber or vanilla in this. Though the mix of patchouli with the florals grounds it from being too cloying. But these florals still smell too generic for me. This one isn’t really for me.

l_02mx

I was gifted this perfume in 2020, having babied a sample of it for a while. It’s probably one of the best perfumes I’ve ever smelt! I’m very picky with scents but this just blows most fragrances out the park for me, WHY was this discontinued? :( I only have a 30ml of this and I cherish it dearly.

All those oranges and roses just blended together in perfect harmony, a citrus has never been so luxe and stunning on me. Longevity is eternal and projection is quite loud.

I (annoyingly) didn’t know of the reformations of Miss Dior and I bought a 100ml of the 2021 version thinking it was this one, whilst it’s a nice perfume, it’s nothing compared to this beauty. I need to get my hands on a bigger bottle. I adore this fragrance. I wish they would reproduce this. I do also own Mademoiselle, whilst they are ‘similar’ Miss Dior 2017 is much more rose heavy whilst Mademoiselle is more patchouli and a little more screechy citrus (also doesn’t project a lot) so I don’t enjoy it as much.

SummerRose

Finally got hold of a bottle of Miss Dior 2017. I can see why it gets so much love. It is a beautiful feminine, classy, floral perfume. It can easily be a signature scent as it's quite versatile. I do get the freshness of the citrus notes mixed with the rose and patchouli which in my opinion, is more wearable than Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.

It is quite long lasting on my skin, over 7 hours but it doesn't project very far but remains as a close scent bubble around you. This is for days when you don't feel for something complicated, when you don't want your perfume to arrive in a room before you but you want to quietly enjoy the whiffs of a lovely feminine scent all day. I think Miss Dior is beautifully done and I am really pleased to have it in my collection.

PS - I don't know what it is but I've suddenly fallen for Dior perfumes....

I finally got my nose on this version, and though I think it is better than the current reformulation, I definitely am not a fan. To be fair I really dislike sweet floral patchouli fragrances and sweet rose fragrances so it was never going to be a love, but I can appreciate why Miss Dior is so popular. It's a classy, elegant, and feminine fragrance that will get you noticed. I still do prefer the freshness of the EDT because it feels more feminine and versatile and makes the intense sweetness more palatable. However, the EDP is more grown-up and commanding. Definitely a modern classic, just not for me.

Rober7a

Very bright and vibrant on the initial spray, then it dries down to a light feminine scent. It's a lovely crowd pleaser, I'm sure you can safely wear this daily, smell nice to everyone and get compliments, but it lacks character and there’s just nothing interesting. It's pleasant, but I smell this type of scent everywhere, quite generic and synthetic. It's completely inoffensive, but nothing memorable, doesn't stand out in a good way or bad. I understand comparisons to Coco Mademoiselle, since it also has this bright feminine and easy to like profile, but Chanel is at least a powerhouse of a fragrance, Dior is much more fleeting. I see why this is popular, but not appealing enough to get a full bottle.

Miss Dior (2017) is so versatile, I think it transitions very well from day to night, and would be great in every season. When wearing it, I've had compliments from both men and women when I've walked past them. It is very feminine, but it's also got a rich warmth to it that Miss Dior (2021) is lacking very badly. I'm so sad they've discontinued the 2017 and I'm now looking for a new daily I can wear in the office as this was perfect for almost any occasion.

Mjchaelj

This is so good. It is what a rose fragrance should be. I can picture a professional woman in her 20s-30s when I smell it. Reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle. While great, I still prefer the old Miss Dior Cherie from 2005. I think that one was much more alluring with the strawberry and caramel. Still, this is great.

8.5/10

belfrybatz

I don't find there is a ton of similarities with coco mademoiselle, although they both have that mandarin/citrus opening, Miss Dior is a lot softer and much sweeter with that tiny bit of soft spiciness from that pink pepper. incredibly delicious jasmine scent with that drydown of rosy, woody, musk. I prefer it to coco mademoiselle even though I like that too! perfect as a day or night scent, especially seems good for spring and fall to bring that lightness! longevity and sillage are moderate.

WHAT A SHAME DISCONTINUED ‘!! This is my all time favorite signature scent . Dior ruined with the new one but I bought like 4 back up bottles of this that I will cherish forever . Elegant classy sexy feminine and expensive smelling . My forever scent

tanny_ups

This is the best perfume I ever had! I have so many compliments when I wear it! Literally everybody compliments on this perfume! I feel so confident when I wear this ! It’s a shame it was discontinued

Thegrimmreaderr

A masterpiece. What a shame it was reformulated in 2021. I've snagged two bottles for backups but I'm confused on the variations of colors. I've seen some w very dark liquid but mine is a light pink. Curious.

mytrueessense

Wearing this on New Year’s Eve pretending I am at a gala event but actually spending the evening having an abundance of caution time alone. And celebrating the life of Betty White who would have turned 100 on January 17.

This is the most beautiful feminine well rounded fragrance! Roses with a hint of pepper brightened by a host of citrus notes, most prominently a trio of oranges. The patchouli is the most wonderful sort. Rosewood base note is sublime.

Better than Coco Mademoiselle or La Vie Est Belle L’Eclat and I have and love both.

rachellelopez1827

I’m totally impressed with this perfume. It’s smells so feminine and classy! Today I was getting my nails done and all I could smell was Miss Dior like a big cloud that accompanies you everywhere. It’s also very long lasting, 7 hours later I’m still catching whiffs of it when I move around. My boyfriend loves this one on me. This 2017 version is one of my favorites.

SnowFleur

I am so confused by this perfume. I’m not even sure if this is the version I purchased!!!!! I did a search based on batch codes so this should be it!!! This is nothing like the previous versions I owned. I’ve had 3 prior starting with a Miss Dior Cherie. They were all light and citrusy and feminine and I loved the smell. This one is not. I wore it twice before ignoring it for a few weeks. When I tried it again I found if I don’t compare it to how I thought it should be it is nice. This version is a dark plum or fig like smell to me. No light airy smell. However I plan to use it up and try the 2021 version when I can.

***update*** I’ve now had this a year and a bit and I could swear the smell has changed. I now get some more notes of the earlier versions including a note that reminds me of grape juice. Well that’s the best I can describe it. I will use this a bit more often and enjoy it.

Tori1994

A very strong perfume. Just 1-2 spritz last you the whole day. The woody peppery note is more prominent than florals in there. And that makes it hard to describe this scent coz it’s a good scent but meantime It gives this really strong like a 👣 feet smelling odour and that’s just completely ruins the scent. I don’t know which note is it but they should completely omit that note and the perfume will be a masterpiece.

Softpeacelily

Starts off a musky powdery floral and dries down into something nicer. On my skin it settles very powdery and sweet. When sprayed on my clothes it’s extremely citrusy. Very feminine, young yet mature at the same time.

Jenla

I’m in a love/hate relationship with this fragrance, sometimes I absolutely love it and other times I can’t decide if I do like it. It is a nice floral, although it sometimes tips slightly into the more mature older lady category more-so than sweet young lady.

The initial scent always puts me off, but the dry down on my skin is a light floral with sweetness to it. It’s definitely one for a spring day. I’d suggest giving it a sniff and not blind buying if you’re like me and you’re on the fence with strong florals.

Scent: 5/10

ConcreteRose

So I blind bought this because of the hype… just got it today… and it’s already up on Mercari lol. I think blooming bouquet and absolutely blooming smell better than this smh. Surprisingly super disappointed because with all of these amazing reviews, I honestly expected to be head over heels * rolls eyes*. Smells like a cluster of sweet patchouli mess, and I honestly like patchouli lol. Now I want to smell the 2021 reformation… it’s probably better than this.

EDIT!!! So I guess my nose is adjusting to this and I’m getting all of the notes now. Smells feminine and I’m getting the florals… I think I might be falling in love smh! FORGIVE ME!

LEM922

I bought this after trying the original version at the department store. For some reason, their bottle smelled more soft than when I bought a new one; maybe because it was older and so oft used. This is an absolute patchouli bomb. The rosewood is so warm, romantic and comforting, and the citrus in the opening is so pretty. But, there's so much patchouli in this I couldn't stomach it. I ended up giving it to my grandmother, who adores it. Silliage is impressive, longevity is as well. Great perfume, just not for me.

Dramaloladiva

I thought I’d get my hands on this one (2017 version) before it completely disappeared...I did and it’s honestly not worth the hype.
I mean, it’s a pretty bottle, gorgeous actually, but the scent itself is so generic and a bit Convenience Store like. You know, the kind you’ll find at $20 and under...
It does start citrusy and bright but quickly becomes just meh...it’s kinda tragically sad...it has no personality nor does it have heart. I will let it go even though the bottle itself is super beautiful...

MISS DIOR

I don't get this, to be honest. It just smells like chemicals. I get no real hint of patchouli in it and it's not even very sweet. I hate to say it, but for a Dior, it smells...cheap. It smells like I got it at the dollar store.

salthewitch

Gucci send me samples regularly, so I thought that despite my (ahem) age, I'd give this a whirl before passing it onto a friend. Oh dear me. If I'd caught this in passing, after maybe six hours dry down, I'd not be offended at all, and possibly catch the 'rose' or any of the other supposed listed notes. This is synthetic, headache inducing tripe. I'm not going to dignify the notes because they're all fake chemicals. Please, you can do so much better in niche. Don't buy this mass produced crappy product if you get headaches or have a sensitive olfactory process. But, if you're around 14 and at school, go kill your teachers nostrils.

lechickpea

It seems like there's a divide over whether this is comparable to Coco Mademoiselle - I personally get the connection right off the bat. The way patchouli and citrus combines feels very Chanel, especially in the opening. There are definitely days where the patchouli strikes me as a *little* too pungent and green. Soon the beautiful rose note blooms and takes center stage, but a very modern, crowd-pleasing rose. It's a feminine perfume, but the sweetness level is always restrained and elegant.

A sophisticated everyday scent. If I had to pick, Absolutely Blooming is still my preferred Dior rose scent.

Cyaneidae

I love this 2017 version, slightly more than the 2012 version.
It smells gorgeous, very feminine, and mature. It gives me an extra boost of confidence whenever I wear it. I bought myself a backup bottle of the 2017 when I heard it's going to be discontinued. The 2021 formulation is just not for me. On me, the 2021 version smells too powdery, too common, almost nothing in particular compare to the 2017 version, which to me personally, is a complete let down.

It's sad that another one of my favorite fragrances is discontinued. I have changed my signature scent because of this.

cocolily1

I miss this scent. I bought it in early 2017 and cherished how neutral but gorgeous it was. I was later told it'd be discontinued which I am sad about since my bottle is finished now, and this was the finest of inoffensive floral perfumes I had.

Bloomsbury Barton

I bought my 2017 edition MD around a week before they were wiped from the shelves of the department stores.
I adore the rosiness and the beautiful, elegant dry down. The patchouli is not overpowering, the bottle is just gorgeous, the endurance of the fragrance is acceptable too.

mapache

After sampling the new Miss Dior 2021....( IMO.....a dismal failure).....I decided to grab up a Miss Dior 2017 asap.
I was able to get a great deal on an unboxed 1.7oz.
This 2017 version is my favorite of all the Miss Dior's so far. I like this better than the 2012.
I have yet to test the discontinued Miss Dior Le Parfum.....but I would like to. The prices of that have booooomed !! $$$$$

Scentedalterego

Miss Dior 2017 is not a reformulation but a different fragrance from the 2012 version. The patchouli and orange are toned down and the rose, wood and vanilla are turned up. I slightly prefer the 2012, but this is amazing as well.

On me both sillage and longevity are good. When it came out I swear longevity was poor, I even wrote a review about it long ago, so I might have a reformulation (mine was bought in 2019).

I smelled the 2021 as well, that one still has the Dior quality, they use specific ingredients very typical in all floral Diors, but is a more non-rosey floral, less woody and lacks patchouli. This one is more special to me. We are clearly moving out of the patchouli era, but I will continue to wear my patchouli's with pride.

As with all Diors, the first number of the batchcode etched in the glass is the production year, if ever you get confused which one is which.

snoopyQ

It opens with fresh roses and ends up smelling like a sirupy rather thick, sweet rose jam!
If you like rather heavy sweet perfumes you might like it.

My personal opinion on this vs the 2021 version is that the 2021 version is more delicate and airy.

Efragrantica

This is such an amazing purfume, it's very feminine, very flirty and very intoxicating but in a good way. I don't usually like many floral purfumes as they can trigger my hayfever but when I first smelled this, I loved it straight away. Shame they have discontinued 2017 version. I would grab a bottle before it disappears completely. Highly recommend!

Starlight8

I loved the 2017 version , bought it a few times. The other day got a sample from the 2021 edition. Candy floss sweetness and nothing else. Cannot figure out any notes. Shame another good perfume is gone! 😟

Ella7712

Lovely classy perfume! The 2021 reformulation smells NOTHING like it, so if you like this version hurry up and get a bottle asap!

MimesOtto

I love this 2017 formulation.. it is beautiful fruity floral patchouli with dark amber and timid sweetness, excellent performance, compliment getter..I am sad this is discontinued..I checked this version is already off shelves! Adios.

MaxieF

This is the only perfume I've ever tested that strongly smelled like vapor rub. I don't know what formulation I just sampled at Ulta but..omg. Straight up vapor rub. Maybe it turned? ....

Zethre

Very sugary, from something cheap like ethyl maltol, with some artificial smelling roses and other flowers, with a citrus trying to lift it all. Quite unpleasant, very typical boring cheap modern perfume. Very different from the vintage version with was not sweet at all with strong, clean, spicy powder and lasted for hours with enormous sillage.
This modern one is entirely different. I really don't know why they don't change the name a bit when they reformulate them to an entirely different fragrance.

adelaidesandrina

So i used to own the 2012 version. That version made me so nauseous, i only liked the dry down because it’s a patchouli bomb and i love patchouli. The opening was so nauseating.. it smelled like vineyard peach from the body shop lmao. Ugh. The syrupy sweet version.

Anyways, i was so curious about the 2017 formulation.. especially since i heard it’s going to be discontinued soon. So i went to a dior boutique and sniffed it. To me it smells like something i’ve smelled before.. it was so familiar. Maybe like the love child of Joy & LVEB.. lmao i’m kidding. It’s very citrusy, sweeet, floral, you know.. it’s alright but again.. nothing new. It’s kinda fresh tbh, it’s like a no brainer perfume. It’s like an everyday kind of wear.

Perfumepusher

Okay I have to be completely honest.. I’ve avoided this perfume until last week when I heard about another reformulation. I’ve always loved the 2012 version and just in pure protest I didn’t want to try the 2017 version because i was so mad at Dior .. a little childish I know, but when you have a perfume so close to heart, you just get really sad when it’s not available anymore. So I decided to try the 2017 version so I could at least know what it was like, before the new 2021 version would appear. I hands down love this version. It is nothing like 2012, but it’s so lovely of its own. Even though I still hold a grudge against Dior, I have to admit that this is worth having in my collection and I’m even a little annoyed that I haven’t discovered this one sooner. All in all I am member of the team that goes with both 2012 and 2012 version is wonderful and beautiful and I am so glad to now own both versions. Get your hands on this one before it’s too late.

sarahtheperfumelover

Xhules Ohhh I didn't realize it wasn't opened. At least you could return it! :-)

RainbowGirl

I wanted to get a bottle of this before it disappeared, and I am so glad I did. Beautiful rose and patchouli fragrance. Delicate. Sweet. Fresh orange in the opening. Smells like beauty.

stefani valini

I bought this because this version is discontinu... and I know that I would have regretted it. This scent is so perfect for fall. The smell reminds me of a wooden chest with roses and orange. It's sophisticated and so pretty. I'm happy with it, I am not about the new formulation...

Edit:
I know it sounds strange but I know exactly what it reminds me... wooden chest and hair dye... in a good way of course.

Xhules

@sarahtheperfumelover thanks dear! However I ended up opening it and it was the one with the new bow on it. I wish I would’ve sprayed it to see the difference but I didn’t. I returned that one and ordered one from mercari with an older batch code.

Sonyakaroliinaq

I just bought this 'cause it's discontinued now. I've always liked this scent, it's very pretty, classy rose and patchouli scent but nothing to go crazy about. I just don't understand why Dior is reformulating Miss Dior all the time.

EDIT: You guuyyss, i think i have a 2012 formulation here! Unbelievable, i bought it at my local Sokos (which is like Macy's) I guess people here just don't really buy Dior products overall...

sarahtheperfumelover

Xhules The actual brand new formulation has a fabric bow instead of the metal bow. The box and bottle of the new one are also smaller to cut down on packaging. I suspect you have the 2017 Miss Dior formula and it was just produced and packaged this year. That's a good thing because it's nice and fresh :)

sarrah_92i

Oh my God guys! I just purchased the new Miss Dior EDP 2021 reformulation; and please oh PLEASE never blind buy it if you are an OG Miss Dior fan!! The scent is COMPLETLY different; so weak! it smellsl like an eau de toilette or even a mist! The woodiness is GONE, the citrus is GONE, the patchouli is GONE! There is nothing left than a flower scent (lilly of the valley i guess) and a rose scent, but it's very very light. I am so disappointed, I'm sad...

Xhules

So I just picked up miss Dior at Macy’s and asked for the 2017 version. However now that I’ve looked up the batch code, it says May 2021. Does that mean it’s a reformulation or not? Please help me figure this out.

Tsatsenskaya

I've bought this one thinking I was buying the 2012 version. I also own that one. The first impression of this was that this smelled like a department store perfume section. Generic. It also felt to me like a body spray, for its poor sillage and longevity. Much worse than its predecessor. The interesting thing is that, as years go by, all perfumes in the market are becoming generic and the same and have horrible performance. So much so that today, in the year 2021, Miss Dior 2017 (about to vanish from the shelves) actually stands out as an interesting, somewhat classy scent that performs well.
I might even start wearing it.

Smonalisa

I love this , drydown is divine

Project Nostalgia

EDIT: I actually sampled the 2021 version not 2017. I had no idea that Dior reformulated AGAIN. Why do they keep doing this? It's a totally different fragrance just call it something else!

I just got a little sample of this with a perfume delivery and I was so excited. I used to have Miss Dior around 7 years ago, it was my going out fragrance and was an absolute beast. I could smell it on clothes the day after as strong as it was the night before. I didn't repurchase after I had used it up, as too many good nights out comes with consequences 🤣 I had to have a break from this scent because it started to remind me of being hungover and sometimes being sick! Oh the good times!
I was toying with repurchasing recently, not knowing it was reformulated and I'm so glad I didn't buy it. This is a totally different scent.
It reminds me more of Flowerbomb than what I remember of Miss Dior :(

jengalang72

Likeable, light and powdery. Doesn't stand out to me as a must-buy at this price. At the same time, I would be pleased if I received it as a gift.

mychinarose

According to a YouTube video I saw yesterday (FWIW), this is getting reformulated YET AGAIN in September 2021. So, if you are a fan of this scent, you may want to get yourself a bottle. Why, Dior? Why??????

sarahtheperfumelover

UPDATE: I'm sad the 2017 version is being discontinued. I have a backup bottle and if I didn't have other fragrances I need to use up I would get another backup. This whole changing Miss Dior all the time is getting old.

Mmmmm. I really enjoy this one. I never tried the 2012 iteration of Miss Dior EDP so I'm not comparing. I blind bought an MD giftset that came with a 50ml bottle of the edp and a 75ml of the body milk at a rouge Sephora sale. Initially I found it pleasant but wasn't blown away. However, the more I wore it the more I fell in love. I would catch these gorgeous sweet, slightly spicy, and powdery patchouli rose whiffs that I found intoxicating. I ended up redeeming my Shopper's (Canadian drugstore with a beauty boutique) points for a 100ml bottle.

karolina525

I'm probably one of the few that actually love it. I never smelled any of the previous formulations of this fragrance. Nor did I check the various versions of Miss Dior. Anything too floral or citrusy was and still is uninteresting to me. My go-to fragrances for cooler months are Tresor La Nuit, The Only One 2 and occasionally Coco Noir, so think sweet and comforting. I was looking for something lighter for summer months and this is how I came across Miss Dior. Initially, I didn't like it when I sprayed it on a piece of paper - started sharp and citrusy and transformed into cheap rosy. There was almost no sweetness in it. Luckily I found a sample of the fragrance at home - I had it somewhere amongst some Coco Mademoiselle samples (which smell nothing close). I sprayed it on my forearm and went back to my chores. When I checked on it later I was amazed - I didn't smell any sharp notes, I could smell ... vanilla (?). But wait - it doesn't have any vanilla in it, so - what is it. I checked the base notes and - it's the palisander - warm, hugging, sweet rosewood. The rosewood note was so dominant and longlasting, that I could still smell it on me the next day. That's when I knew I found my summer fragrance.
What makes this initially unattractive and cheap smelling fragrance (at least on a piece of paper) so special - the composition is really simple, compared to other fragrances that have a really long list of ingredients, but these ingredients are very good quality, and they need time to unwind on the skin. But when they do ... they last.

ivoryfoxglove

Smells like the perfume section of a shop in the best way- lots of pink pepper, mandarin and rose, but the patchouli can turn a little sour on the skin

clairesque

A very musky, powdery floral with a strong accord of patchouli. There's a lot of sweetness in the top notes as well but once that fades, the fragrance doesn't evolve on the skin at all. Patchouli usually does not come off well on my skin and Miss Dior is no exception. It's the type of scent I associate with an older woman.

It's hard to articulate how I feel about this fragrance - I wouldn't wear this myself, but I associate this scent with something that "rich" people would wear. It sort of smells like a department store. I think my best friend's mother used to wear something similar to this so I associate the scent with this image of a middle-aged or older woman who is wealthy, classy, well-dressed.

shoppingscenter

This smells like an Easter basket that holds jelly beans and those marshmallows with candied shells. It's fresh and clean without being soapy. To my nose, the smell doesn't change much over time. The same beautiful smell that emerged after five minutes was still there after 12 hours (but not as strongly). I was going to buy Coco Mademoiselle until I smelled this.

Zombie Apocalypse

I need to give an update on my previous review of this fragrance. I ended up panic buying a small 30ml bottle of this fragrance. at first I wasn't sure if I really liked it, but I tried it again.... and realised this fragrance is not half bad if price is not a significant factor. It does cost quite a bit for a tiny bottle because its Dior. However it can be worn during day or evening especially in cooler months. Its not too heavy or cloying but probably not the best summertime fragrance. No its not the popcorn original, it may not be memorable and its probably not going to be signature scent worthy for most. But what it is, is an all rounder! I guess when I heard its going to be gone soon I wanted a small bottle to remember it. LOL

amelia.g

I don't understand why Dior keeps completely reformulating the pillar fragrances in this line. I very much enjoyed the original Miss Dior Chérie and was under the impression it was very successful commercially, but then they changed it entirely (I have no memory of the 2012 EDP, but I wholeheartedly adore the Le Parfum and Eau Fraiche versions) and what started out as a modern twist on chypre perfumes is now another blandly generic floral.

I got a sample of the current EDP formulation with a purchase and couldn't be more disappointed. It smells just like every other current bestselling high end youthful fragrance in the market - bright citrus opening, thin-as-air rosy heart and crystal clean drydown woods. On my skin, it smells almost exactly like Mon Guerlain EDP, even though they have supposedly very different notes. I would never be able to discern it in a lineup.

It has low projection/sillage and medium longevity on my skin (about 6hrs).

AtelierLicorice

I think pink pepper plus citrus tends to read "generic mall fragrance" to me, so while I enjoy the warm, woody drydown that kicks in after about 4 hours I will probably never buy a full bottle (which is a shame, because it's so pretty). There's very little projection or sillage, but the longevity is impressive—almost 10 hours later, and I can still smell a trace of the rosewood on my skin. For that alone I'd say it's decently priced, provided you enjoy the scent.

CindyLouHoo

This is the most boring perfume I've ever smelled. It's sweet and maybe vaguely floral, definitely a chocolate note, but not good chocolate, milk chocolate from the bargain bin. I don't get any spice. Utterly perplexed as to why any brand would want to put their name on something like this.

essiesfrags

Better than the 2012 in my opinion. This is way more wearable, safer and more pleasant to the nose. The 2012 version is super patchouli heavy and smells like something a older woman would wear. This is younger, smells like roses, lotion and chocolate.
One of the few reformulations i applaud dior on. Thanks for creating something alot of people can enjoy.

supergirl9412

A lot of citrus in the opening, followed by syrupy rose nicely balanced with peppered orange and patchouli. There’s a earthy note, which grounds it. I’m thinking this is from the patchouli, because it’s not a “woody” earthy note. It’s almost a little “flat” or “play-doughy” ... Hmm. A little weird but doesn’t ruin the wear for me.

When sniffing the skin, there’s an unfortunate undercurrent of isopropyl alcohol in the first 1-1.5 hour of wear. That fades, thank goodness, and is really only smellable on the skin and not in the scent bubble. That could be my tester though, which, while fairly new to me, has signs of age.

I’ve been lamenting the discontinuation of Miss Dior Cherie lately, so I decided to give this a try and compare/contrast. Cherie is sweeter, fruitier, richer, stronger, and has a totally different personality than this iteration of MD. If Cherie is a popular extrovert, MD is an elegant and reserved introvert. Still sweet, but more grounded.

Adding to my wishlist!

americanablonde

Sadly, I'm not a fan of this one. I don't get the citrus notes at all for some reason, and instead, smell only a spiciness that I don't happen to enjoy. I found the first spray to be extremely sour, but after it dried down a bit, the fragrance did become a tad sweeter. It's a light scent, so the sillage isn't great, and the longevity was just ok on me. I wish I had more to say, honestly, but this fragrance just isn't it for me.

carlahoffman

To me the first spray was just another pink pepper perfume which I have enough of. This note is dominant and stays that way for a while knocking down any fruity fragrance on my skin. The perfume lays on the skin giving it almost no projection and I prefer a little bolder scent at least one I can get a whiff of. I ended up giving my bottle away about a month of owning it. Just nothing special to me for the price I paid for it . It skipped over the rose scent and went to a soft woody scent that last for about 4 hours then poof it was gone.

jovejove

Some insider information: Say bye bye to the 2017 juice.

Edemay

Have to disagree with the review below me, this has lasted 2 days on my skin and I've showered twice
I can only smell the faint warm spiciness now but when I first sprayed this I was quite impressed.
I didn't get the fresh spicy smell that i expected (like mademoiselle) I got a warm, slightly spicy, slightly floral and almost a chocolatey smell!
I kept smelling the scent wafting around me the whole night and it made me feel very warm, calm and pretty.

Hum_C

I really like this one. It smells very beautiful, elegant and feminine... reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle. Unfortunately, it does not last on my skin for very long, like 3hrs or so which is kind of disappointing for the price tag. I absolutely love the bottle though.

Overall, it's a very nice perfume which is suitable for any season and any occasion.

hnica

Way too sweet for me. Nonetheless, it's among the better ones of its genre. The composition is dominated by the patchouly, the rose remains in the background, and the citrus notes fade quickly in the beginning - too bad, since they would make the fragrance less cloying and sweet. Performance could be better, after 4 hours it became a skin scent.

jovejove

Something is going to happen to the original EDP this fall. What exactly, I don’t know, but shall find out. I found out all the sizes are being discontinued...which could be one of three things I can think of;

1. Juice change
2. Packaging change to modernize the look
3. Changing it to be refillable like Sauvage (packaging change)

Only time will tell what the real change will be.

Enrium

I have a sample of this, and it opens with a very strong sweet note of pink pepper, drying down to a sugary sweet rose. After about two hours, I get caramel with a hint of spice along with the everlasting rose. After several hours, synthetic vanilla - still cloyingly sweet - is all I can detect.

This is not to my taste, being an overly sweet mall girl fragrance. It has a commercial appeal, better than the likes of Flowerbomb or Idole but it is not interesting or anything special.

I would love to compare this to the 2012 version, but I think I'm nostalgic for Chérie circa mid-noughties. Passable. 2/5.

lavender_and_teal013

I am not a rose lover at all, in fact I usually despise it. Here, I get very strong rose with patchouli and a hint of citrus. I don't like it. It smells dated, old, and not me at all. The opening was almost soapy to me with rose, but then it got spicier and more rose-patchouli dominant.

mochiprincess

Smells like roasted sugared/candied almonds, warm and sweet. Takes me back to the carnivals/fairs on those summer nights when things seemed a little more innocent, normal, and care-free. ❤️

TerrCasey

It's a nice perfume, but there's nothing unique or interesting about it. Very casual and simple. Not too floral, not too citrusy and not too musky. Not too much of anything, which makes it very generic. Sillage is okay, longevity below average. I would happily use it if there was nothing else available, but with so many other options, it will be a pass for me.

senorajoselina

I agreed with the “not as good as it used to be”judgments until today. My bottle from 2018
Is now three years old and something magical happened. It’s aged like a fine wine—richer with a rounded out rose. She’s back!

poppyetpear

I blind ordered this one, then I read reviews saying it's not as good as it used to be and I saw the notes and said "what have I done? I got the notes mixed up with a different perfume and these aren't right for me"....BUT, I recieved this today (2018 edp) and it's very nice! I thought I'd have to ship this one back, but it's a keeper! It smells so pretty, almost like the La Vie Este Belle Leclat that I just ordered, without the pissy jasmin note that chokes me up. The opening was very harsh like a man's aftershave, but the dry down is sweet and light with a musky heaviness that holds it down perfectly. Not too floral at all (I'm not a fan of too much floral). The sillage is pretty good too. I'm pleasantly surprised! This will be one of my favorites for sure. I would wear this anytime of year, but I think a lot of people would prefer this in the spring or early fall.

10/10 for me

Eureka's Castle

A Caramel and Jasmine.

sunny_luv

This smells way better than absolutely blooming. It's very spicy and rich. Very well blended. It is quite heavy though so if you like lighter perfumes you might not want to blind buy this.

ylva

Love this

New favorite of mine (with my beloved Chloe Nomade)
Owned the 2012 version, but prefer the 2017 edition.

mytrueessense

Same experience for me as Hamano_Chaiki. Batch code on what I purchased proved it is the 2017 version.

2017 Miss Dior on my wrist today straight out of the box was all Replica By the Fireplace. I am happy for that. But it is a more feminine BTFP
and more complex. I this Miss Dior has a very spicy heart and could be loved by men as well as women. Much more so than CM. The Mandarin Orange notes come forward early on and I guess mixed with the Patchouli create a warm spice pulse. It grows sweeter before heading to a powdery dry down.

ALC555

This to me is wearable by men. It is similar to Chanel Coco Madmoiselle and Fan di Fendi EdP. I love the three and wear them interchangeably on occassions. It is a great unisex scent. Classification is under the modern light tutti frutti colognes for men. Love them all.

Hamano_Chiaki

I ended up buying this by accident, because by the picture and product description I thought I was ordering the old 2012 version. When I received the fragrance I noticed right away from the package that it's the new version, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I'm a long-term fan of this series since 2005 and have owned almost every single one of the previous versions of Miss Dior (Cherie). So I thought maybe I should educate myself about the newest version as well.

This is so different from the previous versions that it almost makes me laugh - I can imagine the annoy that people have had over this when buying it thinking it would be the 2012 formula. I still own a bottle of Miss Dior Cherie from 2009 (which is 2005 formula), Miss Dior EdT from 2013 and Miss Dior EdP from 2012 (only 7,5 ml tiny bottle though...), and this new one has absolutely nothing in common with those except the name and bottle :D The original Miss Dior Cherie from 2005 smells like strawberries, popcorn and caramel. The Miss Dior EdP and EdT from 2012-13 smell pretty similar to my nose, like orange syrup with patchouli and rose. This newest one to me smells like Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb and Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle had a baby - very intensely sweet rosy scent with loads of patchouli & woods. It doesn't have vanilla listed in the notes, but I'm getting an impression of that as well. I actually quite like it, but I think people should judge this as a completely new fragrance and forget the old versions, or they'll be very dissapointed.

elysian

On my 2nd bottle, so I feel like my opinion about this is pretty well brewed.

To begin with I never liked the 2012 version, there was immediately a “medicinal - orange syrup - men’s cologne from the 90’s - hospital hallways” kick to it, it was too much. Too much patchouli which can be aggressive if not used sparingly. Also, everyone is loving how that version was similar to Coco Mademoiselle. Why is that a good thing? If I wanted Mademoiselle, I would simply buy it. I want an authentic smell, not a version of another decent perfume.
That being said, the 2017 reformulation made me very happy. It’s hard to find a rose perfume that’s not too grandma-ish. This is sweet and girly, however, much softer and more sophisticated than LVEB and the others. The ingredients are very high quality, you can always pin-point all the main notes instead of smelling one big cloud of something.

My description: Candied rose, Turkish delights, red orange soda, playful pepper, a walk in a botanical garden.

Love it for an office job, a date, theatre, a wedding, a holiday celebration. Literally anywhere.
I can go to a grocery store with sweatpants and no makeup but wearing this, and I will still feel classy and put together.

My only problem with this is the longevity. This only lasts 4-5 hours, similar to the EDT version which I do own as well. Besides that, Miss Dior is a gorgeous lady!

Oliviaf11

i did't try this one for the longest time because i was so bitter about the fact that they reformulated miss dior AGAIN (why do they keep doing this?? don't fix what ain't broke) and it's a completely different smell. but i recently got a sample of this from sephora and i was like what the hell, ill give it a go, thinking that i won't like it because i don't typically like mature, rose scents. at first spray all i get are roses, not my thing. but later on it begins to smell really nice. a creamy sweet floral..to my nose it smells very similar to V&R flowerbomb. i like it, very classy and feminine. but I'm still sad they changed it because miss dior cherie was better imo. more original. the new formulation is nice but it smells like other perfumes now and the originality is gone. i don't think i'll buy a bottle because i already own flowerbomb and to me they are too similar.

Essellee

This is a more mature perfume - I get the impression of a woman in her 30's, who has her shit together.

Sillage is low, longevity is moderate on me. I like it, definitely get the rose and the patchouli the most. I won't be purchasing a full bottle of this as I prefer girly scents, maybe I'll revisit it in 10 years.

Lollo

OK, feminine but nothing special about it. Not a wow feeling. Its like when you open your bag of makeup, perfumes, and other nice smelling products and you can smell a mix of good notes. My opinion is that there is a lot of other more interesting perfumes.

Me memes

I received a sample of this...so glad I did. The first spray I get Coco M vibes and the dry down is very oriental and spicy. It reminds me of my Korean acupuncturist’s office...it’s almost medicinal and herbal because of the patchouli. I don’t like Coco M and I don’t like Miss Dior.

BetaTuga

I never bought any miss dior (not yet) so I can not say anything about reformulations and flankers, although I believe when some people here say this used to be better . still... Today I went to the perfume store to test some perfumes I had in mind (I ended up testing some more), and this one still stood out among all of the rest. Not only scent wise and quality wises , but also in sillage and longevity. It is a great perfume. I find Christian Dior perfumes to have a sophisticated DNA (unlike channel... my dna and chanel dna certainly don't get along, lol)

Amascent

Ok.... second review for me. I was the biggest fan of the 2012 version, and this is an entirely different perfume. So I'm going to judge this independently of previous reformulations.

This 2017 version is pretty. It's very feminine, a hint of spice. The pepper and citrus is bright and prominent in the opening then settle in to blend beautifully. The citrus is sweet, such a nice blend. The millions of roses with a bit of jasmine are lush and creamy. It's such a creamy floral. The patchouli isn't too strong, it enhances the whole thing and holds it together deepening it ever so slightly. I dont know if it's the rosewood reacting with the lingering pepper, but I swear I get a hint of anise, like star of anise, but maybe that's just me. This is nice. Feminine, soft, creamy, bright, with a hint of spice. Great for daywear, and office hours. I bought a bottle. Not my favorite by any means, but it smells ultra natural, ladylike, sweet, and expensive. I do like it a lot.

Lollo

Good, pepper and flower. Kind of booring though.

Lyndseymarie

I really like this perfume now ! It took me a while to get used to the new version but I love the pink pepper floral scent. It smells pretty and elegant. It could be enhanced by being a little stronger

s2jkbrad

I love this! To me it’s like a sweet, classy patchouli , floral pepper scent. This was a gift from my husband It is complex. It starts out kind of strong with the pepper scent and it dries down to a floral mixed with a soft patchouli. I can see this being a staple in my collection but casual enough to wear to work and sexy enough to wear at night.

sexylegolas

Upon first spray, it's strong, more orangey with a hint of citrus (lemon?) and rose at the background. It has that oldies feeling about the smell (in a good and classy way, but not too crazy). Then after 15-20 mins the roses began to bloom and the dry down was very powdery in a way that reminded me of old times powder back in the end 90s or early 20s (again, not too much, but more in a way that made me reminiscent more of the good ol days when things are simpler, slower... It ended up smelling like home. It made me miss my mom and dad and my grandparents. It made me remember how my dad used to kiss my cheek when I half asleep, how my grandma would smile at me when she watched the little version of me. I expected this perfume to make me feel edgy, sophisticated and flirty, yet "home" is what I get from it. I love it. I'll update sillage and performance once I wore it for a couple of days.

Kots_Tanya

I hated it when I first tried it in the store a while ago but then recently I have been on designer fragrance kick and decided to revisit this one. Oh my am I glad I did, I really love it. Its sweet, powdery but so elegant. I think it very girly and pretty. I purchased 100ml bottle and have been using it especially in the morning, I noticed its my favorite time of the day to use it. It makes me feel so feminine and elegant. I think its a crowd pleaser too, would get a lot of compliments. Longevity is absolutely great. I would pick this over la vie est belle any time.
By the way Im not comparing it to the previous versions because to me its totally different perfume and I love it.

Snowfall84

Rather boring, not the Miss Dior I remember. Not even close. I regret purchasing this version. It is like a watered down version of Mon Guerlain without the lavender and nowhere near as nice. I remember Miss Dior Cherie came out when I was working in a perfume shop and I found it too much. The other Diors, with the exception of Hypnotic Poison, were far too stifling for me. Now years later I find the Miss Dior range rather dull. If only I had done more research before buying this...

KittyDeBeauvoir

I've had to increase my rating, folks.
This is just TOO gorgeous!

With all the varieties of "Miss Dior" out there, I'm a very confused puppy. In saying that, I'm ....almost certain this 2017 version is the one I own.

The initial mandarin orange burst wasn't my favourite to start with, but I'm obsessed now! It evolves to a deep, invigorating blood orange that mingles with sweet orange.

For that gorgeous floral: It's not that deepest-red-of-rose scent here. This is RIDICULOUSLY light and pretty! If you see Grasse or Damask roses, they are (generally) a light pink colour. Comparing visual to smell - is what this perfume prettily emotes. I personally adore sniffing this scent on the back of my hand.

It's romantic, light, rosy, heady, delicate, graceful, whimsical, feminine, and has fairly adequate longevity.
You will smell like a slightly citrusy, very pretty rose.
I love it!

Half a point taken off for Dior heart-deflating price tags.
I'm already half-way through my 30ml bottle which is making my wallet quiver.

***

Kitty rating: 9.5/10.
Hubby rating: 8-8.5/10. "Good! ...Caramel and jasmine, right?"

~Compliment Counter~: 2 compliments 😁😁

Lyndseymarie

I was really disappointed with this perfume. It smells slightly sickly sweet and peppery. The current version does not feel high quality. It is watery and does not last a long time. It is disappointing when the previous versions were so nice and had far better longevity and sillage. I would not purchase this formulation again.

Cmed

An unenthusiastic 'ok' from me. My skin and nose are interpreting this as being far sweeter than the notes suggest. Certainly not worth it's premium place and price.

I'd bought a sample to compare with a 'copycat' miss Dior. I prefer my cheap imitation to this. I think the imitation might be based on the 2012 formulation. It's called FM432

anna1987

I was so disappointed with this reformulation because the 2017 version is so different from the 2012 version which was my favorite fragrance ever.
This version is kind of boring and it lacks uniqueness. It smells sweeter and spicier than the older version but in a bad way, it gives me a poison girl vibe and there‘s too much rose in it. In my opinion the 2012 version was more sexy, more classy & more interesting, less girly. Sometimes they reformulate scents but you still recognize the old scent in it but this time they totally changed the scent & in a way that I don‘t like.

Ambroxer

Sweet and feminine. There’s no better way to sum up Miss Dior. What I want this to be is romantic, free-spirited, glamorous, sweet and feminine. Basically, all the things depicted in the TV commercial. What guy wouldn’t want to go do donuts on the beach with a beautiful woman in a vintage convertible? Beats dinner and a movie! While everyone will get their own mileage over how successfully these traits are translated, I personally go a bit back and forth.

The opening is very fruity and sugary sweet. There’s some rose in the background too, which keeps it away from being cloying. The rose takes more of the foreground as the mid begins, allowing Miss Dior some maturity, but this is still very girly-sweet and bright pink until deep into the dry down. It’s an everyday perfume that could work in a great number of settings. Breezy enough to just smell nice at home, qualified for a professional environment, and romantic enough for a date. From what I have smelled, this could be said of any major women’s designer fragrance in various shades of pink bottles.

Still, there’s nothing wrong with Miss Dior to my nose. Letting it waft in the air makes a space feel more romantic. I know this fragrance gets a lot of criticism from reformulation, and the line itself causes confusion with its many flankers. This guy, however, still finds Miss Dior to be a lady. If only there were a little less of the playful and sweet and more floral allure, Miss Dior is a lady I’d consider putting on a pedestal.

Why Dior, why?!
I am a die hard fan of the 2012 version of Miss Dior ... not a late comer, not those who bashed her then swore to her beauty, no, I loved her since I opened my 2014 Christmas present. I've loved her since the beginning.I love the brightness, the comfort and elegance it offers,I love everything about it.

I do own and love Coco Mademoiselle, regular and Intense, but Miss Dior has a special spot in my heart, It's the perfect balance of citrus, rose, jasmine and patchouli, not too sweet, not too earthy, just round and perfect.
I finished my 2012 100ml bottle and got a 50ml one, and I was content. Then this weekend I spotted a 100ml bottle at a discount site at a good price. The description offered the 2012 notes .... so, I took the plunge, and waited .... it arrived today ....
I opened the box .... took a look at the bottle .... and my heart sank ... pink juice, not that lovely ambery apricot color of my dreams. I sprayed a little on the back of my hand ... and my heart sank a little bit more, it was not her ... no citruses, no roundness, no elegance, no nothing of what I love, just a sweet, sweet rose, very much like LVEB, which I DON'T like, at all.The drydown does not bring much of an improvement, just some powdery rose and not much more. I'll keep the bottle and I will continue trying to love it.

I don't like leaving negative comments, but I needed to share my experience with the 2017 Miss Dior iteration.
I'm disappointed and a little sad, my beloved Miss Dior is gone forever, because Dior likes to reformulate their hits for reasons only known to them.

Why Dior, why?

EDIT
So, I gave it full day wear, and what can I say .... I 'm a sucker for powdery roses. Yes, it starts out very much similar to LVEB .... but then it turns towards Flowerbomb territory, and that I like (taste is a weird thing. A friend and I despise LVEB, but she loves Black Opium and I love Flowerbomb 🤷).
I ended up enjoying it and I think it'll be a nice comforting winter scent. It's nothing like the 2012 version that I love, but it's a lovely scent on its own right.

I tried Fou de Toi by Tory Burch today and its peony/balsam combo didn’t blow me away. Then I added the new Miss Dior et voila. C’est magique, ca. A woodier, lower sugar Miss Dior.

I could truly cry right now...

Today I was at my local Walgreens in a rather dodgy area of town if I may add. I was perusing the cosmetics section when I spotted a slightly dusty 50ml box of Miss Dior Eau de Parfum in the glass casing display. The "perfumery" at Walgreens is typically a collection of dated has been fragrances from yesteryear of which the department store beauty counters no longer carry. You can find olfactory hits from the 80s/90s or take a stroll down memory lane with some god awful concoctions you used to spray on yourself back in high school. Alas, I asked the doe-eyed and clueless yet sweet sales associate if I could take a look at the box of Miss Dior to perhaps decipher a batch code. She eagerly pulled out the box of perfume and handed it to me saying that she believes it had been almost a year since they recieved it and that she has no idea why they would be trying to sell a prestige perfume at that store location which is a rather high crime area. In my head I was already thinking "Could this be my beloved Miss Dior EDP from 2012? Is it even possible? Probably not. They disappeared from the shelves years ago. Don't get your hopes up..."
I eagerly whipped out my phone and searched my trusty batch code website and after squinting my eyes forever trying to accurately read the bloody batch code:

Batch Code: 6Y01
Production Date: 2016

Oh my god... could it be?!?! I was beginning to get really excited because when people refer to the current EDP they typically note the fact that it's the 2017 reformulation. I still could not fathom the possibility that inside this box could be the gorgeous Miss Dior Eau De Parfum 2012 that was cruelly snatched away from us all those years ago. Walgreen's return policy can be hit or miss so I thought worst case scenario I end up with another bottle of Miss Dior EDP 2017 and just eat the cost. I paid approximately $105 and had the salesgirl wrap up the perfume nicely. Being unable to contain my excitement I got home shortly thereafter and carefully opened the box while praying this was the moment I had been hoping for... and there it was. The moment I pulled up the bottle in my hands I could immediately tell by the color of the warm peachy apricot juice that this was Miss Dior EDP 2012. I'm not exaggerating when I say I almost shed a tear. I removed the cap and spritzed my arm and was in absolute heaven. The sensual rose and Italian mandarin followed up by jasmine absolute and patchouli... if you remember Miss Dior 2012 you know the difference without a shadow of a doubt.
I kid you not when I say I have scoured beauty counters and boutiques all over Europe and the Middle East for at least 3 years trying to track down this beauty and here it was at my local Walgreens. Absolutely unbelievable.

I wanted to share this story with all of you 🖤

(P.S) Personally I think the current Miss Dior 2017 is a lovely perfume and I actually own a 100ml bottle. The 2017 rendition emphasizes florals with pronounced notes of rose and rosewood. Whereas Miss Dior 2012 veers into gourmand territory with notes of caramel and a heavier patchouli.

camden-girl

This reminds me of Chanel Chance EDP , it’s a little like it, going the same direction.
But miss Dior is slightly sweeter, less spicy version.
Lots of fruity orange maybe strawberry too ?

This is a nice all rounder, any time of year , any age but I think the younger girls
Will love this most but any age can wear this.
Pretty and inoffensive sweet n juicy goodness
Very likeable.

raiza1990

Rich, sensual, a bit powdery and a bit sweet. Very pleasant and elegant. Similar to Miss Dior Le Parfum, but this one is not so opulent. The patchouli is intense and i usually don’t like patchouli, but here it’s well done. It gives this scent maturity.
I imagine a young, girly woman wearing it. she is feminine and cute, but responsable and down to earth.
Final note: 10/10

Nataliemarie

I have smelled this & do love it, but I am afraid to buy it now b/c of the watery reviews on here. I mainly wanted to speak to the person that asked about the Roses edition. I have it, & omgooodness is it GORGEOUS! If you have Ulta, they carry it there. I try not to buy at Ulta. They always RIP ppl a new one with their VERY limited "Coupons" & never have the gift w/ purchases they advertise. The employees take them all home. Nice. Ok, so maybe don't buy this at Ulta, just go smell it & try it on in there. ;)
I say we all quit buying it until Dior can help us stop making MISTAKES by buying the one we do NOT want, knowing most of us won't return it!! It's a marketing scheme at this point!

ParisLoveXo

I think I commented a while ago but I will again.
Sharp , elegant , grown woman , sexy and ultra feminine . Can give me lightheaded if I over spray . This lasts FOREVER on my skin . This has become my signature . I bought this perfume by accident I meant to buy I believe it was the miss Dior absolute blooming because my friend had it but instead chose this one and I chose the large 6.7 ounce bottle I believe and it’s been one year and I’m already finishing that one and I have over 50 perfumes .
I love this ♥️

jjoyce2

Candied rose or rose macaroons. This is a sweet rose scent, and really not much more. It is very pleasing though. People sniff around me whenever I have this or Absolutely Blooming on. The only downside to this is that it’s a bit weak considering it’s an edp.

delicatefabric

Has Dior reformulated the 2017 EDP?

I have a bottle produced in late 2017 which smells divine and lush. Very rosy, woody and a little vanilla-y. Minimal citrus, only occurs at the opening. Its sillage is moderate, but the longevity is excellent. Most importantly the juice is DEEP BROWNISH ROSE in colour. Scrolling down on here I found that comments made in early 2018 state that the juice was brownish as well.

However last week when I went to the Dior counter and asked to sample their perfumes, to my horror, the Miss Dior EDP smells like a watered down version of its previous glory!! The bottle they have contains juice that is a pale rose orange colour, much like how it is in the ads and the display picture. The new juice now has a much more pronounced citrus note which, when combined with the watered down rose and woods, is a bit headache-inducing. I also noticed that it bears much more resemblance to the Miss Dior EDT 2019.

My guess is, when Dior devised Miss Dior EDT 2019 to replace the 2013 version, they reformulated the already new EDP 2017 as well. This reformulation would probably have rendered most bottles of EDP produced since 2019 to be the current watered-down ones.

P.S. The Dior counter I went to had the full line of perfumes available to sample, including the newest Rose n' Roses. With each perfume they had 1-2 bottles on display. I saw a less than half-full bottle of deep brownish rose Miss Dior EDP lurking in the second row. I don't think even the salesperson was aware of the difference? But since I have owned the 2017 bottle for 2 years now I can tell you with certainty that the current one is very, very watered-down.

Amascent

Nothing like my 2012 bottles that ran out. I wanted to restock, but this is a completely different fragrance and I'm ultra disappointed. It's lighter softer sweeter and more predictable. This is like so many others on the market. Pretty, but not memorable. To me its very generic. Very similar vibes to YSL's Mon Paris, which is pretty, but I wouldn't buy for being unmemorable as well. It's similar to so many other fruity soft light young sweet patchouli's. It's not special, and missing all the magic and unique individuality of the previous formulation.

No doubt this new version is a nice pleasing fragrance and will gain followers in it's own right. However the girl that wore the 2012 version is not the same girl that's wearing this. I think they're 2 different type of women. This should have had it's own name, and separate marketing. Should be different from the Miss Dior many knew, were loyal to, and loved. To me I'm a little turned off by Dior now. They're expecting the name to carry all weight and are expecting people to be stupid and forget what this used to be. It's insulting to their loyal customers, and seems rather deceptive as well.

Bioluv

This is the kind of rose I’ve come to like, I suppose. A sweet, citrusy rose. Very pleasant but to me, it’s nothing new. I haven’t tried the 2012 version so I can’t compare. But so far, really good!
This is btw but the dry down really reminds me of poison girl edp.

Edit: this is actually really beautiful- citrusy, sweet, warm and slightly spicy (in that order). This is well blended; no sharp edges; not too much citrus and for that, I am very grateful. It is elegant but not snobby. A youthful rose, perfect for a young lady or anyone for that matter who’s looking for something bright, classy and yummy. It also lasts a long time on the skin. It’s something I would easily reach for if I want to feel a lil special; it’s not unique by any means but still beautiful nonetheless. This is definitely my ideal rose scent...for now.

auroramaria

The new Miss Dior Rose n Roses is in EDT concentration and besided Roses it has s base of whjte musk can't wait to try it

lmwimsatt

Had anyone here tried miss dior rose n roses? Amazing! But not listed in the fragrantica

auroramaria

I love this version of MD so sweet and refined a little powdery and rosy ultra feminine and modern. This fragrance got me many compliments and if I did not have many fragrances to use up I would make it my signature

Sreza7

What an amazing modern rose fragrance. To my nose it’s rose, vanilla and patchouli. My scent palette has been slowing favoring rose over the past couple of months. I remember a couple years back I smelled Miss Dior 2012 EDP and I hated it, and gave me a headache. I used to hate anything with rose in it, but now I have really been enjoying rose. As long as there’s a sweetness it in then I like it. Miss Dior EDP is a sweet, woody rose with a slight powdery quality to it. Somewhat “maternal” like our beloved Mon Guerlain. The opening is a sweet citrus. The dry down is a very woody vanilla(even though there’s no vanilla listed, it must be the rosewood + patchouli), so in love with the dry down! Patchouli is not overpowering. I usually don’t like patchouli heavy fragrances like LVEB. This patchouli is very well blended here. This is so luxurious and comforting, cozy and elegant. The longevity is perfect. I put it on my wrist before bed and when I woke up I could still smell it. Ultra feminine, ultra sophisticated. So if you like jammy roses, or if you just like rose. You may want to put your nose in the sensual Miss Dior EDP 2017.

Cassiano

Miss Dior perfume first appeared on February 12 of 1947, when Christian Dior decided to introduce it along with his first fashion show. The name was given when his sister, Catherine, arrived by surprise and Mitzah Bricard, the fashion counselor, said, "See, it's Miss Dior!"
Its success drove the creation of more than 20 variations, serving as the pillar for the launch of new lines and limited editions, such as Miss Dior Chérie, in 2005. However, in 2012, Dior decided to rename the fragrance family, ending the name Chérie and launching a new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum.

In 2017, after reformulation, a new fragrance hit the market, leaving behind a modern-chypre style and bringing a new carnal-chypre, which combines notes of Calabrian bergamot, blood orange, and mandarin (top); Grasse’s rose and Damascus rose (body); Rosewood and pink pepper (base).

On the skin, the new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum brings everything one expects to find in a feminine fragrance: power, seduction, and trail. Bergamot is no longer ubiquitous, as the juiciness comes from the other citrus fruits. The mix of roses gained a different weight as if it were a jam made with the fallen petals and green buds that were discarded during the morning harvest. And the rosewood, from which natural Linalol can be extracted, gives a fruity wood smell, which eventually brings a facet similar to that of patchouli.

Was this reformulation well received? No, for several reasons. People are still confused by so many reformulations, as well as mandatory repackaging with the name change. To make matters worse, comparisons are inevitable and many users have not seen due respect for the DNA of the previous version of 2012.

On the other hand, the public who had no contact with the previous version, nor with the fragrances of the extinct Chérie line, fell in love with this Miss Dior EDP and I understand why. In this creation, it is possible to like roses, without having to feel that literal smell, which reminds us of a walk through a flower garden, for example. In addition, in 2017 the market surrendered to the Ethyl Maltol compound and its sweet nuances, which were explored in various ways and related to the patchouli note. And this version of Miss Dior has some of that sweeter footprint, resulting in a floral-gourmand of fruity opening and spicy drying with excellent projection and high durability.

It wasn't the invention of the wheel, but it wasn't a total shot in the foot either. To me, it was like a risky move by Dior in a chess game, whose board represented the market, and the pieces represented their variables (audience, investment, etc.). Honestly, I don't know if it was checkmate, but that Miss Dior EDP (2017) came close to conquering the Queen, I have no doubt.

This is amazing! Not gonna lie, this took a while to win me over but once it did I was hooked. I'm not usually a fan of overly rosy type perfumes but it has been done so well here, the rose smells like a beautiful bouquet and not synthetic at all. The roses are soft and pillowly with a slight sweetness. Top notes are not my fave, a bit too sharp but once it settles down WOW I cant stop smelling myself. Longevity is 6 hours on me and 3 of my work colleagues complimented the scent today, with only 2 squirts of juice. I have definitely been converted and have found a gorgeous scent that I will now cherish ❤

ParisLoveXo

Bought this one by mistake and omg I fell in love . Sharp rose , orange , patchouli and pink pepper and grapefruit all mixed together gives you a beautiful scent . definitely a staple in my collection
Longevity for sure and sillage as well

Right, so I kept the bottle of my last Miss Dior (which I loved), and sent a photo of it to my Mum so she could buy it for me again duty free - which she did. It's not the same. I'm so angry. Why do this to us, Dior? Makes no sense.

I can smell a little of the original formulation in here but they're very different and this one doesn't work for me. It smells a bit like musky hairspray on me, and it's not a complex perfume. I mostly get lemon, musk and rose, and it's not a fragrance that suits me.

At least it's not awful so I can wear it, but it doesn't make me feel special like the original did. I just want to finish it and move on. It may suit a younger woman who wants something relatively light, because it's not heavy or distinct so I can see how it may appeal to some.

Plus the longevity is reasonable (around six hours), and on me it smells the same no matter how long I've had it on - which could also be a good thing for some because many fragrances smell better (or worse) at different periods during their wear-time. This one's constant.

Not for me.

I never smelled the original formulation so I can’t compare the two. I can only give you my impression of the present formulation, so here we go....This, to my nose, is classy, ladylike, Dior perfection. It starts out with a citrus blast along with May roses, then becomes a rose, Patchouli fragrance. The sillage and longevity are very good but it’s hard to overspray this one. But it’s still one of those fragrances that you are able to get gentles whiffs of all day. Definitely a beautiful perfume that people will compliment you on!

I'm very confused, can someone explain to me why in some perfume stores the Miss Dior EDP's liquid in the bottle is pink and in other stores it is orange? Does that mean that the orange liquid is the 2012 version and the pink liquid is the new one (2017)? I own the miss dior EDP with the orange liquid since ocotber 2017 and i repurchased a new bottle (orange liquid) in august 2018 (it has the same smell, mandarine and patchouli, I don't smell any pepper or rose), so i'm wondering if those bottles I own are the 2012 version. And lastly, I went to Sephora a few months ago to smell the miss dior EDP with the pink liquid : it does smell similar, but I fell like it's less stronger and more sweet, so in the end I don't know...

Apologies to Ms. Lawrence and the House of Dior, but *this* Miss is JOY. Jammy, spicy, rosy, patch-i JOY.

This reformulation of Miss Dior is Mon Guerlain’s bubbly cousin. But this Miss Dior’s longevity could be better.

Sherine777

Why oh why is Dior confusing us so much?!!!

I found a Miss Dior at a good price and I couldn't figure out, for the life of me, is it 2012 or 2017?

I bought it anyway guessing that it's probably 2017.

Can't they simply come up with different names (or bottles) and spare us the agony?

Edit: I've had it for for a week and I love it!

Honestly, I was hoping for the 2012, Coco Mademoiselle's sister, but instead I got Coco Noir's sweet and flirty young sister!
They are somehow similar to me, but I think Miss Dior out performs Coco Noir, It's rich, thick and long lasting. And there's a huge Vanilla in it that's not listed!

Auragin

I attempted twice to wear this new formulation and both times it made me so nauseous I had to scrub. It's a no for me, definitely. Funny, I haven't had such a strong reaction to a perfume in years. Bad batch, perhaps? Regardless... I will trade it in for something I know I love and can tolerate.

elmccullar

This fragrance is so beautiful on my skin! It's sweet, but also elegant, ladylike and rich. Several other of my perfumes are rose/patchouli combos, so I guess that works for me. Longevity is great and the bottle is just adorable. I feel prissy when I wear this one lol

tonkabeanster

Jessica Simpson's Fancy at a ridiculous markup. Tooth-achingly sweet with a mishmash of candied fruit and florals, topped off with a suffocating powder note. Sophisticated it ain't, but the bottle looks pretty on a dresser, so it's got that going for it at least.

Nancy83

Feminine, tendre, romantic. I get a lot of oranges and roses, subtlety spiced and fresh, not overly sweet. The patchouli doesn't disturb me here as in some other perfumes, but I wonder if this is the reason why I can't totally fall in love with it. The projection is strong, people can smell me around feet away and I got compliments everytime I wear it, around 3-4 hours the sillage is softer and then after 6-8 hours it's closer to skin. The longevity is nice, it lasts more than 10 hours on me.

I got one sample and a mini, I hope that I will have enough tries to know if it's worth the splurge, because I'm torn. I don't dislike it, far from it, I love its orangeness its soft side, I just don't know if I love it enough. Miss Dior reminds me a lot of Dior Poison Girl EDT, Miss Dior is rosier and less sweet, but they share a lot of smelly notes, that makes me wonder if I would just rather wear Poison Girl EDT instead, since it's a top favorite of mine.

Overall it smells good, some of the notes make me dream (rosewood, blood orange...), this is still my favorite rose centered perfumes right now and I recommend it, but I need to try it more.

Blackmoonlilith

The perfume pyramid in this description is wrong. According to Dior the pyramid is like this:

"Miss Dior Eau de Parfum reveals the femininity of a sensual floral.
The top notes are wrapped in a ribbon of fresh notes of Calabrian Bergamot. Its heart combines the beauty of Grasse Rose with the boldness of Damascus Rose. Base notes of Rosewood and Pink Pepper bring character to the composition."

On me it's sweet, warm, sensual and nutty. I don't smell the patchouli. I like to wear it when the weather is colder and I've got some compliments for it. Someone said I was smelling of chocolate. :-)

Yeah, it smells like you want to eat it! :-)

MaHa80Denmark

First of all I have never tried Miss Dior 2012, so I can’t compare:-)
I love this fragrance! The rose and the rosewood in this is just amazing.
I wear it day and night and all year. Get a lot of compliments from both husband and family/friends.

Scent: 10/10

Sillage: 9/10

Longevity: 10/10 (is still going strong after 8-10 hours. Can still smell a bit the next morning)

Over all: 10/10

Rozan

Dior is the brand that failed me the most. First, they withdrawn Miss Dior Cherie, who was loved by women around the world. And now they completely change the formula Miss Dior and issue under the same name. New Miss Dior should come out as Miss Dior flankers. It's a crime on the client.

Parfümlady

Divine and absolutely stunning!

Once the top notes of pink pepper and citrus pass, this gem settles into straight up rose jam on my skin. The Rosewood gives it an amazing warmth and sweetness that is not sickening or cloying to me.

The lasting power is amazing! on my skin it lasts 8+ hours, hair 12+ hours and on clothes it lasts for DAYS. I had to literally wash a scarf so I could wear another perfume that would've otherwise clashed with Miss Dior.

Also I don't need a lot: 2 sprays on my neck and I am good to go.

Edit: A Co-worker started to wear Miss Dior regularly and I always knew that she's already at work by smelling her perfume in the corridor .. so sillage is also an 10/10 for me!

sensous_5877

Uhh, nice!
I like that it's close to the EDT (2019) - but this EDP is more intense with the powdery-woody notes + more added (vanillic) patchouli.

The more I wear it, the more it reminds me of Poison girl (I got the edp) somehow.

But it's is definitively more luxe, more divine and absolutely more wearable than any of the famous patchouli-fragrances we know, like lveb or flowerbomb (I had them both) imo.

PS: If you think EDP/EDT is too 'strong' and you want your Miss Dior without patchouli, I'd suggest to try the EDT blooming bouquet. [So fresh and beautiful peony with a slight whiff of apricot+peach (but not fruity at all)!]
And if you like it more fruity go for Absolutely Blooming. ;)

Parfuwoman

It has just arrived and yet here I am totally in love with this ❤️
Yesterday it was dark and cold, windy and a little depressing outside but just as I sprayed this on, it invited me into a sunny, carefree Sunday in May. It has a certain luxurious champagne vibe to it. Let me explain it:
An image popped into my head: I have beautiful waves in my hear, wearing nice make-up and a beautiful white cocktail dress. I am sitting outside a nice little cafe sipping champagne served with strawberries. I have all the time in the world , I have nothing to worry about, the sun is warming my cheek and I feel harmony.
Those might be the happiest moments in someone’s life. This fragrance is just easy to wear yet it feels special and it isn’t generic at all. The notes are balanced and in perfect harmony. Every woman who likes dresses ,make-up and stuff like this should have Miss Dior on her dressing table in my (biased) opinion.
It lasts for 8-10 hours and sillage is great.
I usually don’t find anything to my taste from the newest designer releases and I am a huge fan of perfume so I am not easy to impress but this one is a really beautiful perfume.
10/10 for sure.

huda_jubail

I don't like Miss Dior EDP 2012

But this version -MD EDP 2017- is way much better and more unique to me, though I don't like the sweet orange note but it's well blended here.

Miss Dior EDP 2017 is very modern, chic and addictive due to its high quality roses, certainly this version is rejuvenated in a very neat and classy way.

stephdray

This seems, to me, to be a much better and smoother La Vie Est Belle Florale, and I see that it shares quite a few of the same notes.

I distinctly smell vanilla in Miss Dior, though it's not listed. The patchouli is elegantly done here, but still, quite prominent. So much so that it's overwhelming the absolutely beautiful rose and the sun-drenched orange and the delicious rosewood.

Overall, a pleasing fragrance, soft and feminine and well-rounded. And EXTREMELY LONG LASTING. It was all over my clothes (and the sheets) for days.

But that vanilla-patch combo is everywhere in the market these days, and I don't get along with it.

silenceowl

I don’t know really Miss Dior (2012) and other cherie versions.
But Dior’s this version is very nice for me.
This is a real rose fragrance with a powdered vanilla base. Very elegant and softly evolves. It announces its presence without disturbing anyone. I liked it first sniffing and quickly became my signature. I feel very comfortable and happy with it. And most important for me there's nothing disturbing about this scent.
Finally I can say about with it , I love Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2017).

scent of rain shop

عطر خیلی خوبیه هرچند خیلی خاص نیست، فضای مطبوع رزی مرکباتی عطر رو احتمالا کمتر کسی هست که خوشش نیاد.

Very good perfume, although not very specific, lovely rosy-citrus atmosphere.

Lovely123

Disappointment. That's the main word that comes to mind with this newer version of the perfume. Why change a good thing? Miss Dior Cherie 2011 was great, and so was Miss Dior 2012. Why couldn't these be named differently and kept alive? This holds no comparison to those others. Honestly, I wanted to like this, but it smells like strong artificial chemicals. The dry down has a much older perfume scent. It's lost all of its bubbly, confident, and sophisticated charm in my opinion. I've tried smelling this perfume on two different occasions to give it a chance, and both times I had the same reaction. I even sprayed it on my wrist since I know chemistry is an important factor, but after doing so the smell was so nauseating I had to rub it on my jeans so that it would dissipate.

sarrah_92i

I've never been able to smell this new reformulation. And wierdly, last summer when I was in Spain, they were still selling the 2012 version, same here in France. But maybe since then, they have this new version; I wish I could smell it.

Edenrocks

I think a few of the most recent reviewers are reviewing the brand new EDT, rather than the EDP

annubi19

This is a disappointing perfume! Nothing memorable! If it didn't have the name Dior and the fancy packaging I wouldn't give it the time of day! Enough said! Sorry. Just my opinion! Tested it twice and wanted to love it, but couldn't!

tweakly

I believe that the note pyramid on this version is wrong. There is no patchouli listed on either Dior's website nor Sephora's. I fell in love with a sample I got from Sephora a couple weeks ago, a spicy patchouli rose. To the point where I'm ordering several bottles in case it was reformulated yet again. A new 100mL bottle came today, batch code says manufactured December 2018 and it smells very different. This smells more like Absolutely Blooming than the Miss Dior I tried; I even tried a spray of my sample on one arm and my new bottle on the other. The sample is almost masculine and smells fresh yet spicy, the full bottle smells sweeter and more generic. I'm so disappointed that I've fallen head over heels for a discontinued scent. I was so sure that I had been sampling the 2017 version because the notes here included patchouli and pink pepper, but now I believe the listed notes are mistaken. I have a feeling that half of these reviews belong to the 2012 version.

Edit: I've since stocked up on the 2012 version, so my initial shock and disappointment have worn off. This perfume is tangy and juicy; youthful yet classic. A little shampoo-y. I don't get pepper at all, no real spiciness either. Still generic, but pretty and likeable.

If you don't like it then just wait a couple years and we'll get a new version.
