Miss Dior Le Parfum by Dior is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women. Miss Dior Le Parfum was launched in 2012. The nose behind this fragrance is François Demachy. Top note is Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Turkish Rose and Bulgarian Rose; base notes are Amber, Patchouli and Vanilla.

The house of Dior continues to expand its line of Miss Dior fragrances, formerly known as Miss Dior Cherie, with the new edition Miss Dior Le Parfum launching in September 2012. Miss Dior Le Parfum is the new perfume extract, more dense and rich with pronounced sophisticated character.

The scent is described as seductive, elegant, sensual and intoxicating nocturnal fragrance, suitable for special rendezvous. It states its femininity with oriental - chypre character and prominent and opulent floral notes.

Perfumer François Demachy said he “wanted to bring something precious and luminous to the composition of Miss Dior Le Parfum, like an oriental jewellery set or the reflections of shimmering fabric.” The composition includes highly concentration of the following ingredients: mandarin, Bulgarian rose absolute, Turkish rose absolute, patchouli, amber and vanilla.

The face of the perfume is elegant yet natural actress Natalie Portman who shows a new aspect of her seduction: more confident and more womanly. Miss Dior Le Parfum is available as a perfume extract in a bottle of 40 ml.

Beautiful Natalie Portman in yet another Miss Dior (formerly Miss Dior Cherie) edition campaign. Miss Dior Le Parfum is announced as elegant, sensual and intoxicating nocturnal perfume extract.

I purchased a bottle through a Facebook group and after trying one I have no love for this version to use, unfortunately. PM is interested in purchasing. With box and all!

I am a Miss Dior Cherie lover and all of the reviews saying this is nothing like MDC are true. I can't even detect a common DNA between both of them. The reason why I love MDC is because of its fresh, bubbly youthfulness without being immature and girly. Miss Dior Le Parfum is definitely more grown up. I'd even venture to say that "mature" is an appropriate word to describe this since there are sophisticated, grown up perfumes without feeling like it's mature.

Now, as far as the scent. I'm uncertain which specific notes are contributing to this, but I have a strong suspicion that the patchouli is the main culprit. I'm not a patchouli hater, but there is something in this that makes it heavy and serious. It's got that kind of old school vibe like Shalimar. And the longevity of this is nowhere near MDC's. It basically faded into a patchouli (a bit cardboard-like) skin scent within 4 hours, which lingered into the next morning.

I really wanted to like this since I have a nicely sized Miss Dior Cherie / Miss Dior collection, but this simply does not fit.

momo363

I really love it 🥰🥰❤️unfortunately I have just 10 ml of this beauty.

I’m selling my bottle. PM me if you’re interested

This is still the best version of ANY of the Miss Dior vintages and line up! I gave up for several years trying and trying new release after new release, each worse than the one before.
This is the one that got away from me 🥹 If I had foresight, I would have bought numerous backups. Unfortunately at the time, I was fairly new to Dior and didn’t understand the range and couldn’t find the version I was in love with in store,, until after it was reformulated. In fairness, I don’t think the sales associate was well versed either.
This version has depth from patchouli, sweet florals, a cosmetics counter powderiness, and an overall vibe of “Ladies that lunch.” It smelled super regal and gave constant compliments. You smelled like a lady that got things done, while maintaining her femininity.

Now the 2021 EDP version is my second favorite. They finally came back to warm, sweet & powdery elegance.

My favourite fragrance but so expensive to buy because of it being discontinued, so if anyone is selling at less than £100 let me know please!

Alternatively if anyone knows of a very good dupe!?

It's been a hot minute since I last wrote a review, so let's see if I remember how...

I love the Miss Dior line.
WHOA, generalisation!

Ahem - I love MOST of the Miss Dior line.
MASSIVE lo❤es include:
Miss Dior Cherie (2005), Miss Dior (2012), Miss Dior (2017), Miss Dior EdT, MD Blooming Bouquet (2014), MD Absolutely Blooming
...Heck, I even have some love for MD Roses 'N' Roses.

The ones I don't have love for include:
MD (2021) - don't even try and tell me it's just a "new interpretation of the MD line". It's not. It sucks. I'll die on this hill, Goddammit.

And...this.

I'm struggling to understand the love for this. I find it severe and wildly bitter. Reviews below mention 'balsamic" and "medicinal" and that's unfortunately what I get here.
It's very harsh, jarring, and mature - not in the good way.
I agree it's a warm scent, but it can also make me cough and my eyes water. You know, like being blasted by desert winds in a sandstorm.

It does improve on the dry-down with a tiny smidgeon of rose coming through. But I mean *tiny*.
Projection pretty good. As is longevity.

I just...don't enjoy this.
But more power to those that do. Even if I don't personally love this, I thoroughly understand the hurt and agony one feels when an adored perfumes gets discontinued.
It's a tragedy on level with Macbeth.
"Treason has done his worst..."

*glares at Dior*

Not repurchase-worthy.

I’m not a fan of the Miss Dior line , however this fragrance is beautiful. My friend who still has a bottle of this let me sample it , it smelt so good and I got a ton of compliments. I would love to add this to my growing Collection.

Ferra_Verto

Balsamic patchouli & amber-forward rose scent. Quite vintage, but still has that distinctly sweet effervescence in the top notes I associate with the original Miss Dior.
Love this scent in spring & autumn, I think a touch of external heat allows it to bloom as is intended.
Big projector, lasts for ages on my skin (10 hrs+). Treasuring my bottle since this has been discontinued.

violeteme

I don't understand the reason, but this reminds me of Tom Ford's Plum Japonais mixed with the 90s version of Tresor. It smells balsamic in the same way and somehow like medicine too. Reading the reviews I expected a more gourmand, thick rose and warm, dense amber, something maybe similar to Amouage Rose Incense, but more along the line of Miss Dior. Le Parfum did not deliver. It doesn't smell that opulent, there is something annoyingly like cough syrup about it, I wouldn't say it smells feminine too, more unisex. I blindly bough a full decant and regret that now.

BihterAnneBoleyn

Dior discontinuing this beauty is a crime
I don't like strong scents but this perfume is the epitome of hotness
I bought a 40ml bottle (the only size they had) back in 2018 and I still have a good amount left
I only use it for VERY special occasions
I'm so sad that I won't be able to buy a new bottle again

Entle29

One of the absolute loves of my life ❤️

giantenemykat

Too much amber for me. I’m a big fan of patchouli but oddly, I don’t like it here. Amber just overpowers any good notes in this parfum for me. I don’t even smell the vanilla.

Jloveparfum

Miss Dior Le Parfum. It is clearly a wonderfully complex fragrance. At the opening I smell patchouli under a gentle drizzle of citrus. Giving way to a heart with Rose absolute beautifully mixed with resins and balms. I basically smell patchouli and roses sweetened with amber. Creating a very warm and sweet aura without being Gourmand. This is unique within the Miss Dior line. It is very feminine and elegant. The substantivity on my skin is more than 10 hours with a strong to moderate diffusion and wake. Another sadly discontinued gem, but if you have the opportunity to try it and you are an amber lover, I would definitely recommend it.

This review is for my bottle with the batch, 2R02 with a production date of 2012-04. In its original size of 40 ml. My bottle is already 10 years old.
This really smells wonderful!

raerrr

I had this when it first came out and just recently got another bottle. To me, this is a modern take on the classic Coco Chanel. This agrees with my skin chemistry better compared to coco. Both my mom and MIL wear coco and this is just different enough for me to get away with wearing it. My mom is a hairstylist and growing up I just remember getting in her suburban smelling like her salon and coco. Miss Dior smells like a friendlier coco and joico shampoo. Orange rose in the front, amber patchouli in the base.

Simonaell

I have one unopend bottle for sale if anyone is interested. Located in Denmark

Moodybear

This is too strong amber for me and It has a vintage feel. Should be very nice in the winter but I'm living in the warm country so I feel it's shame I can use it only few times of a year. It's not last long and not good sillage on my dry skin anyway it's beautiful frag.

Mlepnos

10/10 😍 yeeees baby this is awesome

The notes listed are so accurate, it smells exactly like what it’s supposed to be. It’s also gorgeous, rich (pretty heavy but never cloying) and long-lasting. Others have said it already, but it’s really like a ”modern vintage”, if that makes any sense.

Yes, I also agree that after a couple of hours (on skin) you’ll mostly smell amber…which in this case is quite pleasant. On clothes however, it is truly eternal but be careful when spraying cause the juice is a bit dark.
Since it’s discontinued, I would instead recommend Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal which has a similar vibe to it, but doesn’t smell identical to Miss Dior. Not as good but good enough.

amelia.g

This is an amber-patchouli bomb. I adore it, but if those notes aren't your jam, I wouldn't bother chasing down this one (it's currently very hard to find). It's definitely unique by today's market standards; the opening reminds me a lot of Chanel Coco EDP. Unlike other releases in the Miss Dior line, this one actually feels like a true chypre, with a decidedly vintage flair. I don't see lovers of Miss Dior's current formulation falling for this one - they couldn't be more opposite. While current Miss Dior EDP is a tame and ladylike floral, this is a voluptuous, spicy, oriental leaning concoction. Needless to say, it's potent stuff, better suited for evening and fall/winter.

I wish Dior would bring it back, but the 75 ml bottle I have is probably going to last a good few years, because it's definitely a "special occasion" scent. It's so grandiose it feels out of place on mundane days.

It has excellent projection (no need to overspray) and longevity (12hrs+) on my skin.

Bouquet Bleu

About the scent: earthy jammy rose chypre. After 3h the drydown is 90% amber (on wrists).

I bought it blind after reading the reviews about this gem and so happy I did. I was afraid it would be more dense or cloying than Miss Dior EDP 2012 which I own and love (from a distance because its sweetness sometimes overwhelms me).
To my surprise, this is more wearable for me. At the first spray it can seem dated but give it some minutes to sit on skin. The chypres give it puffiness (not dry powderyness) that make it less cloying than EDP 2012 (applied 1 spray on wrists only). It has a classic luxury vibe because it is less sweet and can seem too adult on the fist sniff, but it is elegance than can be worn from 25+ I would say.
I can imagine it in daytime in cool and cold weather in a formal event, outdoor and indoor (only 1 spray!). In spring, I would restrict it to nighttime or a rainy day, it provides cozyness.

If you like how Dior sits on your skin and Miss Dior EDP has grown too sweet and young on you, give it a chance, considering it is hard to find because it is discontinued. I also associated it with a grande damme, brunette, femme fatale, but I think I will be able to pull it off as well, being the opposite of this, a blonde gamine. I think it can pull off both elegant or sexy night looks as well as jeans an a leather jacket (with gourgeous hair though, because everything in this elegant perfume screams about gourgeousness).

I have a full 75 ml bottle, batch code 6U01 pre reformulation (near Xmas 2018). Dense, voluptuous spicy bomb, exceptional sillage and longevity. It just doesn't work with my chemistry, devastatingly :(
Anyone interested in it, pm guys.

I am wearing a 2013 sample right now gifted to me by a generous Fragrantican. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have the chance to enjoy this beauty since in some way I just couldn't get a full bottle when the fragrance was newly released. And now I learn that they had already "long" reformulated and then discontinued this beauty. It is utterly ridiculous that fragrances disappear in the next few years (tops) following their release. Actually even biscuits have a longer shelf life which will ensure their availability until the expire date...

Anyway, Le Parfum opens up as quite similar to Coco Chanel EDP. But luckily for my taste, it then evolves to something far more round, balmy, soft, frilly and feminine... Le Parfum is more playful, still a "Miss" Dior, and not a grand damme. That said though, it's a "seriously" successful perfume... I am in no way underplaying it. Actually, it is something which can be directly compared to a classic like Coco! And I find it far more wearable -without migraine headaches- than Coco.

It's upto you to decide to get a "modern vintage" bottle like from 2012 or not... I think I am enjoying what I already have and then moving on... to my biscuits!

bizzie_k

My sister worked at the Dior counter when she was in dental school. One year for Christmas she gifted me a 40 ML bottle that I’m only now almost through. The idea of using the last of it was heartbreaking to me, so I went on the hunt for a new-old stock bottle, finally finding a pristine unopened 75 ML bottle. I feel so much better now.

This is a love. It’s what I want perfume to be always and forever instead of in the unreachable past. It is dense, complex, sophisticated but utterly gorgeous. A heady, dreamy chypre that overwhelms and transports. Sexy and self-possessed, even somewhat witchy. In short, this is precious and special; if I find another bottle, I won’t hesitate to stock it.

I have half a 75 mill bottle for sale or swap nz only

Zoë101

This is a very luxurious amber vanilla with a rose 🌹 kick based fragrance. It’s gorgeous. However, I will say that this is more mature. I wouldn’t say it smells vintage or dated, but it definitely doesn’t smell like anything currently on the market. This is not in the realm of Dior poison girl, Marc Jacobs daisy, Versace bright Chrystal etc. This is more dense, more amber and the rose isn’t fresh at all. It’s warm and resinous. The citrus isn’t bright but more subdued. Not at all sour or punchy. Very discreet citrus I’d say. Ultimately in the dry down, you’ll mostly get a wink 😉 of patch, and loads of amber and vanilla with a small kick of rose. It’s like an inedible gourmand. You want to eat it but know you can’t. Very much a safe blind buy if you love amber, vanilla or both. Bottle is stunning with great weight, price can cost an arm and a leg with this also being RARE and a hard find. Longevity is great and projection is okay. A definite LOVE ❤️

RATING: 8.9/10.

Lazarelle

I got a 40ml bottle of this as an 'enjoy it before it's gone' purchase. It's harder to find now, and the last 75ml bottles are going for anywhere between £85-200 on UK websites. I reviewed it before and said the longevity on my skin is not ideal, and this is still true...the rich amber note that I like most doesn't last long enough. But it's still pretty nice, and I love the combination of amber, patchouli, rose and vanilla. This scent feels like a luxurious, spiced winter crème. I feel like I'm wrapped in cashmere or pale and creamy faux furs when I'm wearing it.

I could smell the amber and patchouli before I even unwrapped the box - it's so strong. These notes come through very powerfully when I first spray it, and I could only detect a bare hint of the mandarin orange. After a few hours of wearing it, the scent has turned mellower and earthier. The amber is less noticeable, and there's something unexpectedly mossy coming through. The orange, although listed as a top note, is actually a lot more detectable than before. It's definitely a winter scent, and one that I'll use purely for my own enjoyment at home during the rest of the lockdown...or at least until spring.

Update: I'm wearing this on a frozen grey and snowy day in London. This fragrance feels like warm, spiced ginger and cinnamon cake...utterly soothing, delicious, warming, pampering. Heavenly in this weather to wear with a favourite cosy jumper. I've found it lasts for days if I spray it on clothes rather than my skin. It's grown on me even more and now I'm sad it's been discontinued. What were CD thinking?!

Gül Türe

Love it so much💕 its permanence and silage are excellent. It is a perfume that can be used both day and night, suitable for all seasons except summer. It has a vintage feel with its dark color and bottle. I love perfumes like this. I am very sorry that it was discontinued. It is still available in some stores and online. Those who love such fragrances should hurry. with love💖

MonkeyPuppet

My nose knows not what it smells here. Help! Maybe I have an actual bottle from 2012 so notes are a bit matured. I smell no mandarin orange but instead a peppery note to begin with. There is a flower, but I am not sure if it is rose. I have the impression of a vanilla, a bit like the more neutral, not sweet vanilla from Dior Addict. I think the smell I am unfamiliar with is the amber. Overall it reminds me of a less complex, more pleasant Fendi, the original perfume. Maybe in a few months I will have a different experience, but I was very surprised as to how this smells to me.

Edit: Now today, given the position of the moon no doubt, I smell the sweetness and a lovely creamy mandarin in the background of the first spray. And the amber is a bit sweeter less woody. All in all a sophisticated, lovely fragrance.

SailorV

Rose, patchouli and vanilla are almost always a good combination to my nose, and Miss Dior Le Parfum is no exception.
It gives me an enchanted, wintery feeling, like something you would wear in the snow when the Christmas lights are up. Elegant and pretty. The patch is smooth and like dark chocolate, the rose is red and velvety, the vanilla and amber warm and creamy. And the mandarin top note gives the fragrance the uplifting, juicy spark it needs to be recognizable among other rose + patchouli scents.
For some reason I also get something that makes me think of cloves in this. It adds to the wintery feeling, but as nobody else mentioned it in the reviews, I assume it's a skin chemistry issue. I don't outright dislike it, but I could do without that note.

I haven't tried a whole lot of the Miss Dior line, mainly because Dior's confusing tactic of completely reformulating the pillar every few years is offputting to me, but this might be the most mature Miss Dior. It doesn't really feel like something called 'Miss'. Of course I don't think age or marriage status should dictate your fragrance choices, I just mean that it's untypical for a fragrance targeted at young women. It's roughly in the same family as Midnight Poison, but sweeter.
And it lasts beautifully. I sprayed it in yesterday in the evening, now it's 11 am and it still feels fresh on my arm.

I really like this, but I'm not quite in love. And I would need to be to hunt down a discontinued rose patch fragrance, as this is not exactly an uncommon note combo. I'll leave the remaining bottles to the real fans, but I'm glad I was able to get a sample of this.

Jbell86

Miss Dior Le Parfum my absolute favorite perfume. A beautiful spicy, vanilla, amber scent with excellent sillage. I’m so upset it’s discontinued. I have a full bottle in use and two backups. I may need more backups because I need Miss Dior Le Parfum in my life forever.

Enigmatic

Dior, how dare you. Bring this back! They made the best Miss Dior flanker to date and then got rid of it... why bother making such a masterpiece to begin with? Le parfum, you are irreplaceable. I fell in love with you right away at first spritz, back in the early 2010s. I bought it for my mom and decided it had to be mine too. This is so elegant, so classy; the scent of a wealthy and refined woman. I feel like a chameleon when I wear this, as though I have imposter syndrome. It's simple, but so well-blended. I can pick out every note, and they dance in exquisite harmony: orange and sweet, decadent amber supported by rose and patchouli. I treasure this dearly and wear it only for fancy or special occasions. I have 4 backup bottles. Longevity is 12+ hours and sillage is moderate to large.

Notes according to my nose (in order of prominence): amber, orange, patchouli, vanilla, rose

kat716

A perfume that although is from a mainstream line, has a unique vibe, a femme fatale vibe. Too bad its discontinued.

LoveJoy22

BEAUTIFUL SYMPHONY:

Warm, spicy, buttery, sweetness! On my skin, this smells like a densely packed jar of amber-patchouli JAM, sprinkled with cinnamon.

I don't detect the rose at all. This is a different kind of sweet decadence, & it is heavenly!

qianwang

Le perfume is of really good quality. it projects well, last more than 6 hours on skin and more than 12 hours on cloths.

About the smell, it is rounded, creamy, sweet. very consistent with what the notes listed say. It is classic , carry a little bit old fashion not but a lot to put me off. The smell is not crowd pleasing as many of current new perfumes do, which is a plus for me. however it is not exactly my type of tea because it lack of airy feeling and lack of layers. it is kind of flat. you can say it is flat out classic and beautiful. I think, one need to dress up a little bit to give this perfume chance to shine.
quality wise, it is really good. Smells, it is really personal taste. it is not my everyday go to one. there are many bottles I prefer over this one, like BV, Serge lutens.

ma2780

This is an interesting one. Definitely a chypre, no two ways about it. Upon first smelling it, immediately Chanel No. 5 came to mind. But as it sat longer on my skin and I gave it a minute of thought, I realized it's actually more reminiscent of Coco eau de parfum as it has a modern nuance that the aldehydic and powdery No. 5 doesn't have. Needless to say, this is nothing like any of the other Miss Diors-- this is not a modern take on the current formulation of Miss Dior edp as Coco is a modern take on No. 5. So, if you like Miss Dior edp (or any of the cheries), you won't necessarily like this and vice versa. It's really it's own fragrance within in the line.

When I try to describe this perfume, immediately the phrase that comes to mind is "old soul." It is an updated, wearable chypre that has the heart of a classic, vintage fragrance. It cuts out a lot of the middlemen and leaves the amber, patchouli, and rose to speak for it, with the vanilla always reminding them to be cool. She is trendy and shops at Zara and Dolls Kills, but simultaneously has an appreciation for quieter, finer things.

All that said, this is an amber and patchouli-heavy fragrance, so if you struggle even a little with any of those notes this may be a long shot. But you never know!

Performance is insane-- 10+ hours on skin with very strong projection.

SniffyLarue

This fragrance is my new love. Ladies, they had this on Fragrance net not too long ago. I wouldn’t keep this secret to myself because I think other women around the world will find this beautiful. Idk why it’s discontinued or why Dior does anything they do regarding Miss Dior, but this one is a delight.
I live in hot Florida and this still rocks for a night out on the town. If you live in a cooler climate, this could be a daily.
The patchouli is similar to the La Vie ebelle, which I love, but it’s not that perfume. It’s less sweet and more sexy. Yes this is a sexy, date night parfum, in my opinion. When you spray it the night before, I can guarantee this baby will smell the next day when you wake up. Be careful what you do that night because you’ll want a good scent memory of this one. ;)

PS - I’m not a rose lover so the rose is not strong enough to deter me from this. Just very feminine and sexy scent.

Swedelish

While traveling some years ago I sprayed MDLP at a fragrance counter. Later that night while walking through the hotel lobby 2 ladies stopped me to to tell me I smelled amazing and ask what I was wearing. It stayed on my skin through a shower the next day and I would sniff the card for weeks after returning home. I appreciated the scent, but I didn't buy a bottle as I was not of age yet to feel comfortable wearing it. Then I tested again in 2018 when I began craving it, and though still beautiful, it didn't have the opulence or depth, or the same old school glamor as I'd remembered. Since then I've been waiting for an older bottle to add to my collection and finally my patience paid off.

I have this beauty back in my life, a bottle with batch code 2R01. Wow wow wow is it a fragrance to be reckoned with. Although fairly simple in its construction, the quality of amber that was used is so apparent. It gives layers of depth that current mainstream ambers don't really compare. The rose is dark and velvety, as is necessary to stand up with this amber. And the patchouli makes it earthy and a bit dusty. One spray on each arm is more than enough to last a full day and night. Agree that it is like a modern, sexier Chanel Coco, but better! It is classy and refined, probably best suited for those with a taste for modern classic perfumes and sexy ambers.

Although discontinued you can still find the newer formulas online fairly reasonably priced. It is still lovely and an amazing perfume, but if you've smelled the first formula you'll be aware that some things have changed, namely strength, complexity and lasting power. All suffered at the hand of reformulation, unfortunately, which can make locating the superior formula a painstaking process. If you don't care about such technicalities, go with the ones most readily available.

MDLP was the most spectacular Dior fragrance for me. My biggest love from the house. Maybe ingredients became too scarce or expensive to justify keeping it in production, or it stopped selling well? Who knows. I'm just thankful to have it and plan to enjoy it while I can.

MsLittlejohn

This just blew my favorite Coco Chanel EDP out of the water. It's THAT good. Damn! Very similar in the opening, I almost decided to return it. But that middle hit and it was over for me. Bravo, Dior! 👏🏼

Update: I am so in love with this perfume. I almost feel like I just need this and maybe one or two others in my collection, and I would be complete! 😊 It's just a deep, sweet (not gourmand), dark, luscious, honey, sexy and demure at the same time, long-lasting, delicious, beautiful, EVERYTHING. 😉 Please try it!

Adrien02

My original review below was for another Miss Dior, but I have added it here because I couldn't understand why I seemed to detect a resinous sweetness which the notes could not be ascribed to. Now the sweetness based on these notes make more sense to me. I may have this version of Miss Dior . . .

I believe I've found a Miss Dior Eau de Parfum on Ebay for less than $40. While the front label is missing, the back label is still attached to the bottle and bottle looks like the one shown here minus the ribboned cap. I am pretty confident I have an authentic Dior. . . . . the batch code (3Y01) is etched into the glass.
Information found on check fresh.com:
Batch code 3Y01
INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM THE BATCH CODE
Production date 2013-11
Age 6 years 9 months 4 days
Shelf life 3 (skin care) to 5 years (perfumes and makeup)
Notes the codes are repeated every 10 years
It is a beautiful scent. Classy and easy to wear dressed up or down. and only the second Dior that I currently own. The first being Dior Addict Eau de Parfum), 2012 edition, dark blue glass. I can just make out a hint of the heady sweetness of Dior Addict in this one.

This lightly floralized chypre opens with quick but beautiful breath of just right juicy orange and floral notes (jasmine ??) If rose is there it is completely surrounded by the jasmine flowers. She wafts slowly down into a sweet musk skin scent with just a tad of patchouli. No need to shout, this one is just Lovely.

Whyyyy would they discontinue this??? Why do brands always do this??? This is to die for, I absolutely adore it! I am being so careful with my bottle, I'll probably save it for my wedding, baby showers, and my funeral LOL. I just can't afford to waste it on casual moments. So feminine, sensual, elegant, and long lasting! Perfection in a bottle!

RaeGoLightly

I just received this and this will be going with me to the Keys. It smells rich and dries down gorgeously. It will perform beautifully in the heat. I expect further luxury in humid heat vs TX heat.

I just sprayed again on my forearm vs wrist. On pulse points it turns sweat and warm. On forearm, light hair, it keeps its richness. So sad this is on the DC list. Glad I got a good deal on FX.

Thanks everyone for the reviews. Helped my decision.

I got this perfume on sale in a duty free shop on an airport. A great bargain. First impressions - rich and classy. The opening is pure pepper to me, and something I can only describe as a scent of freshly picked carrots (carrot leaves). Soon, this pepper disappears and is replaced by amber and orange flowers. Finally, it settles into a nice, classy, powdery scent that lingers close to the skin. Silage is not that great, and I expected more from longevity (mind you, I wore it on my wrist only and I wash my hands quite often so maybe that's the reason). It's a pretty good perfume, even though I expected something stronger from "le parfum".

I am wondering who's gonna see my comment on 2020 and for such a perfume that not many people had the chance to test. Yes, I talk for the season where the 'Phoenix' Miss Dior Cherie reborned from the ashes as just Miss Dior and before it reformulates AGAIN into a Miss Dior-total nothing-rose headache with excellent lasting power on September 2017.

Do you remember that days where Dior could compete Chanel's quality for fun and now left with only 1 or 2 creations that still haven't been reformulated? But wait, soon this will happen. I am still searching like crazy to stock up my favorite Miss Dior EDP (2012 till middle of 2017). The reason I bought a 40 ml of Le parfum is absolute nostalgia. This earthy Indonisian patchouli and hidden vanilla...After so many years, now it reminds me so much of Tom Ford's Vanille Fatale!

It doesn't feel nice but everytime I comment for Dior a bitter aftertaste comes in mouth because my signature Miss Dior EDP was the PERFECT chypre. I was hating this perfume category and that perfume made me fall in love. It actually charmed me. Anyway, Le parfum isn't an exception. It's exactly what it says it is, pure perfume. Essence of mandarin orange, a touch of Bulgarian rose (I can't get the Turkish one that is the star on my 2nd favorite perfume in the world Miss Dior EDT-again before 2017's reformulation) and a huge kick of amber responsible for it's oriental character. I won't say much, the whole effect is like an expensive soap, a perfume for matures or at least well dressed and passionate people. You don't want me to tell you that it lasts FOREVER in a point where it even gets me a bit tired. One spray is more than enough.

femmeasis

People are saying that it has been reformulated. I bought a newer bottle, and it was softer and lighter than the tester in the shop. But now, 6 months after, the juice got a bit darker in color and it smells a lot like the tester: rich, luxurious. I think this one just need some time to chill after opening

Nicole5678

Yep, Dior finally removed it from the web site. Such a shame--this is one of my favorites, a cozy delight. Happy to have a backup bottle.

A.Lavieenrose

This was the second perfume that I ever bought for myself and my first dior ever. Le Parfum is exquisite. Something about this smells very "Italian" to me. It revokes the memory of a woman I saw on TV when I was very little. I don't remember the show but I clearly remember her. She was tall, slim and wore a tighly fitted black dress with a bright sharp red lipstick to contrast against her dark hair and fair skin. She smoked cigars and wore a sophisticated hat with a black net which covered her honey-green eyes. I imagine she wore something like this...or perhaps Coco. Actually, I see similarities between Le Parfum and Coco. Coco, of course, is beautifully spicy, which is something that LP lacks...But they both have the sweet rich amber, the dark rose and slightly spicy/smoky patchouli. Le Parfum is like the modern grand-daughter of Coco to me. Classy, different and charming.
It is an absolute shame that they reformulated Le Parfum. The reformulated version is like a ghost of the original...still there, but barely.

rainfairy

This is one of my signature scents. I also have the Miss Dior EDT 2012 version. Both of these smells like Coco Mademoiselle Intense. I was so sad when I heard Miss Dior EDT (2012) and Le Parfum was being discontinued. It was reformulated. I'm not fond of the reformulation. I have been using Le Parfum and Miss Dior EDT 2012 sparingly because its my favorite perfumes. I am happy that Coco Mademoiselle Intense came out because it smells similar. Le Parfum is very classy, elegant, sophisticated and feminine. I wear it all year round for all occasions. The longevity and Sillage are great.

Aurabella

Beautiful just beautiful, long lasting and opulent, a big love for me.

pearla2008

Amazing one really gorgeous the best one in all miss dior line 😍😍so unique and warm perfect in winter and fall days

panda-inc

This is such a nice, classy perfume. I spray it on my chest before dressing and throughout the day, I am enveloped by a cloud of roses. My husband loves this on me. I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. A LOVE for me.

Anast4s1a

Miss Dior Le Parfum - the scent as if from a fairy tale about balls & Princesses.
It sounds soft, but bright. The fragrance is sweetish, solemnly exalted, is modernly classic, very classy. I think it's perfect for Proms& romantic dates. It was surprisingly resistant and i noticed its three stage modification. At first the scent is powderly-sweet, like a fresh honey; and then - a sea of roses... as sweet dream. So it opens - the tenderest roses & luxury powder (whens enter perfume stores, it smells like this. I LOVE IT. I ADORE IT SCENT.)
After 10 minutes the aroma begans to shimmer and change :
it enveloped me in a soft creamy haze.
So fondly, so gracefully, feminine. The base of the fragrance contains chocolately patchouli with a slight herbal hint & mist of amber. And with all this, there is some kind of chill in Miss Dior Le Parfum, throughout the sounding of aroma. And it's very beautiful. In the correct dosage, the perfume is gorgeous.

I will never agree with the opinion (as some write )that the fragrance is for a mature women. No. Miss Dior Le Parfum is primarily for Miss, for a girl in her 20s, mid -20s, confident and as chic as Miss Dior Le Parfum by Dior. In fact,
of course, this aroma is suitable for all women at any age, because Miss Dior Le Parfum is a superb scent from the category of those the can be proudly called - french perfume.
Not on by its concentration, but by the essence of the sounding. Now very much it is not enough that's the kind of perfumes - i mean of Magnificent.

raiza1990

Warm, powdery, opulent and balsamic. A bit like a liquor. This is for people who like loud fragrances. It’s not like the others from this line, this is mature and unapologetic. With an old school vibe. This is for a strong and feminine woman. It’s not a keeper for me, because it’s not my kind of fragrance, but this is beautiful and perfectly executed. To me, this is haute parfumerie. Needless to say, it’s not a crowd pleaser but it is definitely an experience to wear it.
I am positively surprised.
If you’re looking for a warm, a bit earthy liquid rose, try it!
If you like scents like the ones from Guerlain‘s Les Absolu d‘Orient collection, you will like Miss Dior Le Parfum.
Final note: 10/10

DrRosie

Based on what I was told, this is being discontinued. I decided to buy a bottle of this. It had been in my want list for a while now, it was only fair. (I keep telling myself that)
This is going into my winter perfume list to be worn on those not so cold days. I love the EDP, I believe I like this one a little more because of its deep aroma.

CaraQ

Comes across as very loud and powdery on me. Finally, I've found a powdery perfume that doesn't give me a headache! Very happy with my sample, and may invest in this one.

menna81

If you an Amber and Patchouli lover, give this a try! Thick and rich like a vintage syrup! Performance is a beast mode.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

My baby has been drastically reformulated! Miss Dior Le Parfum was full of spices, citrus, amber, rose, patchouli and dare I say oud even. You could smell the slight citrus on the tops but as she transformed she was a total dense spice bomb. So mature and sophisticated and a breath of fresh air..right up there with Coco Chanel..She was just that good. I can't say that about her now. I got an authentic 2.5oz bottle tester that came in later on and I can honestly say she has been stripped of her former self. She still smells like amber and some patchouli but her deep spiciness and rose is somewhat gone. What made me fall in love with her is gone. Unless I get another vintage bottle, this maybe the last time I repurchase her. But if you do get a vintage bottle she is amazing and last all day and you only need 1-2 sprays max. Why did they change something that was already so remarkable Dior? If it wasn't for the Poison line, Dior Addict & Feve Delicieuse I don't think I could handle all the reformulations anymore.

kielo

Incredibly beautifully blended perfume. The best in the Miss Dior line. Feels exotic but really uncomplicated. The perfume smells ambery with rose jam. Feminine and luxurious.

TheMood

Sampled this today, I remember this smell from long ago, it may not be the same smell but same enough to become familiar. There is something comforting in this familiar smell so that’s the overwhelming feeling that captures and holds my imagination.

When I sampled it in the shop I tried to inquire the sales woman what set this apart from other Miss Dior’s, to my nose it smelled kind of like minty or something cool mixed with something warm and spicy. It’s all blended so interlaced, that I can’t distinguish anything separately.

I feel like I would wear this only for myself when I want to feel important and keep healthy distance from other people, almost like protective shield from mundane bullshit people want to drag you into. “ If you can smell it, you are too close”

It smells expensive, grown up, sophisticated and worn by woman who is unattainable.

And once more I’m learning that I DO like rose 🌹

1guy1dog3cats

I see Miss Dior Le Parfum as Oud Ispahan’s older sister. Both exist to highlight a similar rose note; their shared genes, their family resemblance: the flower in chiaroscuro. OI surrounds its rose with smoke and oud and resins—regal though a bit pompous. MDLP bolsters its rose with the warmth of jam, patchouli, and amber. She’s confident, responsible, a steady presence—there to deflate her brother’s over-inflated ego, reminding him of his manners, of their roots. Try as she might, she’s never gotten him to quiet down or go to sleep.

Olotitan

Absolutely gorgeous Miss Dior le parfum'
I lucked out a bottle as a blind buy and don't regret it, it's rich sophisticated and luxurious. The amber honey and vanilla with the Roses hit me right away the patchouli is less pronounced on me it's missing something for me perhaps a woodsy note oakmoss or bergamot, it's not to sweet or have a wow factor but overall nicely done and longevity is perfect...

Its not a loud chypre by all means but I think Monsieur Demachy did a great job considering all of DIOR'S finest fragrances are being discontinued and reformulated which is such a shame!
Midnight Poison
Miss Dior Cherie
Addict
Tendré poison and many others!
Dior needs to keep it real
Why fall in love if halfway up they gonna drop you.
Its time for a new PILLAR!

My favorite Dior Perume ever ❤️

I am so over Dior and their constant reformulations! Why on earth would they make a gazillion versions of Miss Dior and to make it even much worse, each flanker the FLANKER is reformulated so it is essentially a different scent each year. Who can even keep up with Miss Dior Blooming 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003.... CRAZY. Is their some shortage of names? This has pretty much made me stop buying any of them. You never know which "version" you're going to get. This one, however, may have to be an exception. Based on the notes and reviews I am going to love this one. I don't know if anyone has experienced this with Miss dior everything but every single Miss Dior that I own smells just like the other one, even with different notes. All I smell on many is a strong perfumey floral scent that all blends together. They don't necessarily smell bad to me but so unoriginal. If they had just stuck with one or two flankers, I bet they would sell much better overall.

SJames92

I love this! It's so rich, deep and expensive smelling. The amber is sensual and sexy and the patchouli is not abrasive or harsh like you might expect. Everything is well blended, smooth, romantic and sexy. This is definitely a winter scent and one that you save for special or romantic occasions.

cullen62001

Is it me or does this smell like the 2012 EDP? Help

samantham-123

I know I want this badly, but I'm just not sure how often I'll wear it lol, its expensive so id want it to last anyway, but it's so elegant and pretty, and I'm really just not like that.
This is very feminine; not in the same way miss dior cherie is feminine, that's very youthful, sweet and bubbly.
This is more of a grown up, very well put together sophisticated feminine.

At first I wasn't really sure about it , it starts very earthy and chypre, I get lots of patchouli and amber but not a lot of rose, until about 2 hours later that is, when it starts to soften and vanilla starts to come through and give it a bit of sweetness.
The earthyness is still there but much more toned down and its an amazing combination of sweet vanilla and amber.

I think this would be a formal occasion fragrance, it's absolutely beautiful.

Edit: I've been thinking about this for days lol, I absolutely loved the fragrance, but I've come to the conclusion that just because I lijed it, it doesn't necessarily mean it'll suit me.
I'm a believer in wear what u want regardless of your age/ gender/ personally, but this really does just ooze elegance and it just doesn't match my personality.
When it comes to florals I'm more of a D&G redcap kinda girl.
Maybe one day I'll be the kind of woman who I envision wearing this, until then I'll just have to admire from a distance.

delightme5

Im sure there is something in this for everyone. But please,if you are embarking on it for the first time start with 1-2 small sprays. Im sure it will take you away..! I cant express this bit enough.! Take on more of it another time. You cant deny its well done. Its rich creamy smoothness stays with you and you feel its sensuality from go. But not sickly. I think the strawberry /citrus from its past incarnation is there. It helps maintain a natural freshness simultaneously, as is deep. Now thats a beauty! There is a mossy-ness which reveals but you dont see it initially. I think this moss also contributes to it not being sickly unlike others of this vein (and there are a few) which become STICCKKKY !
So nice, everyone should try it.

_christine_

Some days I think Dior pours fragrances into whatever bottle they have lying around the factory. Their stuff is usually pleasant, but you can never replace a bottle and hope you'll get the same scent you had last time.

My current version of Le Parfum is from 2017 and it's a sweet, caramel vanilla. In this version, the amber and vanilla are the stars. The orange, which was so bright and present in earlier versions, now dries off almost instantly. Also MIA, the rose note that used to provide a light, powdery elegance.

I like this version and if you're looking for strong, sweet vanilla, then you might like it too. If you're looking for something that bears a resemblance to a bottle of Le Parfum you remember, then you're SOL.

ikensmelll

**2012 formulation, my bottle is from 2014.
People say it’s not a crowd pleaser but, this is the most complimented perfume in my collection.

This is a gorgeous fragrance but, proceed with caution. You literally only need ONE spray.

It’s heavy and opulent, intense but not harsh.

I don’t find this perfume sexy or sensual. It’s very classy, elegant, beautiful, very feminine and grown up fragrance.

It’s very long lasting. On my skin I’d say more than 12 hours, on clothing - dayyyyssss.

This projection and sillage is enormous! I went to church with my MIL and niece and my MIL was sitting in between. I heard my 21 yr old niece say “someone smells really good.” As we hugged goodbye she was like “OMG, you’re the one that smells really good at church!”

I only wear this on colder months. It’s too heavy for summer IMO.

Esther77

The first time I smelled this was shortly after it was released. It was on a hot sunny day in the Caribbean in a well air conditioned store. Usually I always let my wrist dry for max 5 seconds before I smell it, since some perfumes (or testers) can have a very strong or alcoholic start. However this wasn't necessary with Miss Dior Le Parfum, instead there was a beautiful magical cloud of the most alluring, charming and elegant scent my nose has ever experienced.

It was not at all what I was expecting, since I wasn't wowed by the original Miss Dior line. I instantly connected with the scent and for the first time at 23 years old I thought ''this is it, this is me''. I knew right then and there that I never could be without it.

It was unlike anything I have ever smelled before, so incredible, chic, elegant, warm, reminiscent of the perfumes from the old days but still very much modern.

In the opening I can clearly smell the mandarin, it smells delicious and carefree. It transitions smoothly to the combination of vanilla and sweet rose, the warmth from the amber really stands out in this, and with just a touch of earthiness. It is distinctive and luscious without being cloying.

Miss Dior Le Parfum is a modern and polished floral-chypre with a refined patchouli, a sensual amber presence and aura of sophistication.

It is a very high quality perfume and lasts for over 12 hours on my skin without needing to lotion up and take a warm shower prior to application. It radiates beautifully but stays close enough. The current version isn't as heavy and overpowering as the original release, which was a strict 1 spray perfume for me. With this one you could go to 3 sprays, maybe 4.

My 2 bottles are from May 2018 and are also a dark amber color and do not smell like fresh perfumes, it smells like it always has, just with a tad less heaviness.

Kione

Mine is from 2017 (code checked) and it is not fresh and crowd pleasing, and it is dark amber...

BihterAnneBoleyn

WHY DO THEY SECRETLY REFORMULATE THEIR PERFUMES??????? WHAT THE HELL DIOR????? IM SO FRUSTRATED

Lilacs&Lavender

My local Dior sales assistant confirmed just prior to Christmas 2018 that Miss Dior Le Parfum has been reformulated. I’d noticed that the one she was selling was a different, lighter colour and didn’t smell anything like mine, which features amber and patchouli prominently. Mine is a dark amber coloured liquid possibly 2014 or 15. I’m sorry I don’t have any more information than that at the moment. I’ll try to discover more.

BihterAnneBoleyn

I'm alarmed by the last two comments bc their description of the perfume is nothing like Miss Dior Le Parfum It's not a crowd pleaser and definitely not fresh, has this beauty been reformulated?

Contessa01

Miss Dior is a pretty scent and I enjoy it. I would say though that it is a safe fragrance and this can be a good thing and not a good thing. It is one that you can pretty safely buy as a gift for someone and can't really go wrong, such as, for example, fragrances like Ralph Lauren Romance, Chanel Chance, Marc Jacobs Daisy, etc. Not that it smells like these but you get the idea. A plus is that it is a crowd pleaser and an all rounder - one you can wear to work, out for the day, at night for dinner, etc. I understand the comment below that it smells like a blend of a bit of a lot of fragrances, like the smell of walking into a perfume store, I agree with this. I do really like it, it has a nice softness and freshness to it and is quite feminine.

Cajou

Unfortunately it let me very disappointed. I love the Miss Dior line (mostly the ones between 2005 - 2012) and even though I was aware this is not similar, I had hopes it would be good. Well, it's pleasant, but it smells exactly like when you walk into a perfumery. You know the smell of all those perfumes together? The smell of any perfume shop in the world? That's it.

EDIT: Sooo, months later I've found a great deal online on a used bottle from 2014, so I bought it. Oh yeah, now I know what everyone talks about. THIS is a beautiful deep amber with rose perfume. Not the generic reformulated thing I tried before. I really wish people were exaggerating when they complain about Miss Dior reformulations, but I've try ALL of them now and there is no reformulation of this line that made the scent better, IMO. I still enjoy some "second versions", but the 3rd and so on are getting more and more generic. What a pity...

Renee G

I’m a “small time” collector. I have about 110 bottles, both vintage and new. Still, it’s a pretty heavy collection and at times could render itself difficult to choose a scent for the day. That being said, I received this last week and I never want to wear anything else... ever. This is the most beautifully strong but unintimidating scent I have ever owned. The perfect sillage and longevity. The perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The perfect drydown to Patchouli and powder. I don’t think anything in my collection can rival this masterpiece.

Sirenn

Miss Dior Le Parfum is a decadent, full bodied, jammy rose fragrance with an alluring heart of amber essence that sorrowfully takes too long to make its presence known on my skin.

For those who are rendered a'fever by sumptuous, voluptuous rose scents, I envy you and supplicate for your mercy, as heavy floral fragrances sadly aren't for me. But Miss Dior Le Parfum, with its unapologetically linear cocktail of sultry, syrupy rose absolute tempered by the softest hint of vanilla and patchouli, is masterful in its simplicity. This is charisma in a bottle for all who savor its opulent floral accords.

mychinarose

To me this is the most "grown-up" of the Miss Diors out in the present marketplace. It is elegant and powdery and really, really beautiful. It has a little bit of a throw-back to the original Miss Dior DNA without letting it hit you in the face, although for that reason a lot of the younger crowd might be turned off by it. It's not too sweet at all but it fits right in with my need to wear at least some sort of vanilla these days. It's warm and cuddly and elegant in my book! I really hope this one doesn't get discontinued, because I know it's not the biggest seller, but it IS so, so good.

mschnabel666

Not a review yet... ;)

I never paid attention to any recent Miss Diors because the vintage 1947 is one of my all time faves. The green/chypre one. I have a stockpile of vintage EDT and I love Originale too.

But I blind bought this one. I saw it at ScentedMonkey for about $62 for the 2.5 oz tester Le Parfum. I'm really really excited because this one has been reviewed as smelling mature/vintage- and even tho I'm 38 and somewhat gothy, I love vintage perfume. I have no idea what to expect exactly, but I can't wait!

My bottle came! It's a 2013 bottle! WAHOOOOOO!!! I like this, but I also find it linear/generic, although pleasing, high quality, and long lasting. Just a very smooth amber/vanilla/patchouli, as others have said, and is apparent from the notes. I don't think it smells vintage/old at all. Just very thick and creamy. Candied orange, rose, and then smooth vanilla/amber/patchouli. Nothing is more than the other.

meligonlan

This is by far the Best of all the Miss Dior flankers !

dahrling

This is so beautiful. On my skin, this is a boozy, syrupy GORGEOUS vanilla - and that is all I get from it. No patchouli (unless if I try to use it in warm weather, which I don't do because otherwise it smells differently and is no longer that ultra feminine, elegant timeless perfume), and only a hint of rose. I hope that they never discontinue this, it's perfect as it is and I know it will stand the test of time.

Mushana

Walked into a store looking for Ysatis by Givenchy and it was out of stock. The Sales lady then said this would be a good alternative. WOWEEEEE what a pleasant surprise!

It's so sophisticated. The scent of a mature, classy older woman that refuses to be associated with petty drama!

Thank you Dior!

Elysia

Oh my God, Helbo's comment made me laugh so hard!
Imagine the ad - "Smell Dead not bad" . Because not being alive is no excuse for stinking.
Nice perfume but I still prefer Chérie Edt to all others.

Use_me_as_light

Oh, this one is strong. Definitely an evening perfume, very dense, with non-gourmand sweetness, beautiful amber and spices.

I can't help thinking of "Coco", when I smell it, of almost unimaginable for me earlier, "Coco" without its cloves.

Overall, it stands far from Miss Dior EDP or EDT, it is more like a new perfume, not a flanker.

And I just can not wrap my mind around the idea that this comes not only in 40 but also in 75 ml bottles.

Lilacs&Lavender

Dear House of Dior, I am going to ask Santa to bring you a dictionary for Christmas. An old fashioned book type dictionary, so that you can close your eyes, flip open any page starting with D, and stick your finger on new D names for your fragrances. Feel free to flip open anywhere because I am flippin' mad at trying to sort out which Miss Dior I have/want/regret buying. Yes, you might open the page at DOG or DEAD, but you did bring out POISON so how bad can it be?

If it helps anyone out there, Dior does list the Miss Dior's on their official site.

OK, rant over. Sorry.

In respect to THIS Miss Dior (Miss Dior Le Parfum 2012), it comes now in 75 as well as 40ml and is not discontinued.

As others have said, this is linear - what you get at the start is what you get - and that's not a criticism, because I can smell each note anyway. It's beautifully blended. Is it worth the elevated price though? IMO No. While it is absolutely lovely, Miss Dior Le Parfum is not groundbreaking nor revolutionary. Dior is doing a Keloggs - reducing the volume of the cereal while upping the price. However .....if money is no object (drat you), and you love this, go for it. I'll save my hard earned for Dior DEAD Extrait.

Carpe Noctem

I waited to buy this because there seems to be much confusion for perfume lovers about just what this is, as there are so many Miss Dior flankers out there!

I took a chance and bought it, never having smelled it. I knew I made the right decision as soon as I sprayed it. Which, by the way, two sprays was too much! It's super strong and very long lasting. 8+ hours.

I can catch the citrusy beginning and the rest is just delicious amber, patchouli and vanilla. It is so warm and comforting. I did not get the rose smell at all.

While wearing this perfume, it felt more like 'me' than any other. Dior perfumes just really work wonderfully with my skin chemistry.

Look at all the great reviews and buy this! It's not discontinued. You can find it at Nordstrom online, I believe Saks online too, and maybe Barneys, etc...The Dior website itself is still selling it, so...not discontinued.

BihterAnneBoleyn

@kameron It only comes in 40ml / 1.35 o.z

lmwimsatt

Midnight poison. That's what this reminds me of

Nat001

This juice is impressive!!! I got a bottle on eBay. Oh my god!! I feel like Marilyn Monroe when I wear this! I don’t know why this perfume doesn’t have 10,000 reviews on here lol. If you like ladylike classic scents and want to smell expensive, go for this!

lmwimsatt

Does anyone else get a Shalimar similarity from this?

kameron

Sephora is selling online BUT only one amount available 1.35 OZ (40 ml) for $100. I believe it is discontinued, none of Notinos, fragranceX or other stores have it.

Alisaaa131

This scent lasts for days on clothing and maybe 8 hours on skin! It's got an impressive lasting power and it's such a soft romantic scent.
I definitely get the orange and patchouli when first sprayed and the dry down is mostly a powdery patchouli.
It's not exactly my cup of tea but it's nice for a soft, clean, sweater weather type of feel.

lmwimsatt

@ evelyn, this isn't dc'd. I just saw it at sephora. Anyways this is a very strong old school perfumey vanilla scent

evelyn_fragrances

I bought a big 75ml bottle of this a few years ago as it was love at first sniff! An absolutely beautiful scent, deep and best for colder months. It is of course discontinued now ... you just keep on breaking my heart Dior :(

This is not an everyday/work scent, it's very strong & lasts forever (one spray is enough). I reserve it for special occasions now that my bottle is running low.

Uniqueness - 8/10
Longevity - 8/10
Sillage - 8/10
Value for money - 8/10

Rounded, dense, "perfumey", luscious, very Dior. One of the few recent creations from this house that has a strong "bone structure", character, charisma. While wearing this fragrance, you'll hold your back straighter than usual and feel more confident. If you want to feel like the world is at your feet - try this.
Well-blended to a point where I can't single out any notes. At about 2nd hour of wear I got a whiff of a dense ambery citrus scent, but not sweet. I kept wondering "flowers? yes. fruits? yes, citruses. patchouli? yes, but not annoying".
Rose+vanilla make this extraordinary cocktail even more feminine.
My recommendation: spray it on your skin, but don't smell directly from it, this beauty is gorgeous in sillage. Smell from at least 30cm.

leboblue

This is so deep, dark and rich.......I sometimes spray a little Diorissimo edt along with. Chanel and Dior frags are so well blended that with research and care the combinations are devine! And unique!

Ranya

@momo363 discontinued since last summer, so the prices will soon explode for the last bottles available on the sale websites. The best from the entire series, extreme longevity and sillage and an absolutely masterpiece. Like someone said here, this is the parfumery. Stunning and no wonder why discontinued too soon (old stock totaly disappeared from strawberry, luckyscent, notino or fragrancex....) great sillage and ENORMOUS longevity!

Lowertownie

Hands down the best of the modern miss dior formulations! This is rich, full bodied and expertly crafted. I would often sneak sprays from the tester at work. I would actually consider buying this if I could get my hands on it. Stunning.

no-fi

Miss Dior Cherie has moved out of home, set herself up in a downtown studio apartment, dumped her dumbass sports jock boyfriend, and found herself some hip new friends who un-ironically wear bow ties and boater hats while sipping on small-batch vodka.

Oh, and she stole her mother's bottle of Coco on the way out the door.

Miss Dior Le Parfum is a crash-course in classic perfumery for the fruitchouli generation. If you threw in some heavy spices (clove, cinnamon, anise) and toned down the vanilla, it wouldn't feel out of place among the Opiums of the world. But its massive sweetness brings it back into contemporary territory. A warm, creamy patchouli and amber accord is balanced with a well-behaved rose, while the mandarin top note adds sparkle. It's very feminine and refreshingly elegant. Groundbreaking? No, but well executed and perfectly wearable.

Now if only Dior stopped confusing the heck out of everyone with their absurd naming and reformulation conventions...

miss mills

Oh my! Thanks to the wonderfully generous Xrayer, I have my very own bottle of this beautifully womanly fragrance! A warm sweet chypre, this is a sensual delight. I've just torn it open and liberally sprayed it through my hair and over my arms and am walking around with a big grin on my face - spicy without being oriental, more in line with Dolce Vita (or a cloveless Coco) but can see the references - the bones of those two powerhouses crossed then brought forward a couple of decades, modernised, vamped up with vanilla amber which is sexy without being remotely sugary (more Serge Luten's Ambre Sultan than Juicy Couture). Deeply sexy, feminine and fun all at once. YUM, thank you Xrayer!
Edited as after a few wears I concur with other reviewers that this does indeed smell like Christmas, mmm.

This is very perfumey. I have no clue what I am smelling. The orange stands out, as does the almost fruity rose scent, the heady earthiness of patchouli, the sweetness of amber, and the creaminess if vanilla but they are all blended together so much than none shows its full self. There's other stuff there too -- maybe iris, maybe jasmine, maybe something more plastic but I'm not confident on any of them.

I can see why others find this elegant, but it's really not my style.

Does it discontinued or not ?

Lazarelle

I adore amber and patchouli, so I really like this scent on my skin at first spray. It smells strong, sophisticated, expensive, confident. From reading other reviews I was expecting a powerful sillage and a lasting fragrance, but on my skin it fades to a skin scent after only 2-3 hours. A bit disappointing, because I wanted the strong stuff! I think skin chemistry really does matter. E.g. I've been wearing Mon Guerlain almost every day, and while I know seasoned perfumistas are not that impressed with it, on my skin it projects and has personality and blends so well with my skin chemistry. I was not expecting it to. It was an impulsive find. And I thought Miss Dior Le Parfum would last on me as a spicy, patchouli-amber scent, but it seems that it does not. Perfume is personal!

Taxidermy

I'm not a fan of this flanker. It has nothing to do with the playful Miss Dior edp and edt, there is not even a hint of its predecessors, and I'm not exaggerating. I've tried it twice and both times got the same impression. Too much amber and patchouli in it. It's dirty, earthy smelling. And no, it's not similar to Midnight Poison either. That one has a clean, cold patchouli note, and Miss Dior Le Parfum smells warm, very ambery, almost hippy-ish (in my experience, strong amber mixed with heavy patchouli always results in smelling hippy-ish). Just please try before you buy, otherwise you may end up disappointed.

sofiebgoode

Keep this strictly one-spray and watch it unfold to gorgeous soft creaminess.

I am very picky but still very open to all families of perfume, I do not discriminate against any particular family or specific note. This perfume is my ride and die scent!

I first smelled Miss Dior Cherie (Discontinued, and similar to this) on a friend of mine 10 years ago when we were in high school. Even as a teenager, this scent stood out. While most girls at the time were wearing fruity fragrances such as Vera Wang Princess or JLo's Glow, my friend had exquisite taste. She was the kind of girl that instead of shopping at Aeropostale or American Eagle, she already begun to wear black jeans, with simple cardigans in her daily chic ensemble. What's great about this perfume is that much like the most recent Natalie Portman commercial portrays, is feminine, but not basic. It does not smell like every other floral or fruity scent, yet, it has an element of risk and sass that say Chanel's Mademoiselle or Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue lacks. Another great element about this perfume is that though it last lasts forever, in my experience of wearing it, does not come off as "too much"... like a classic sexy oriental perfume. It's perfectly charming for work, yet cheeky enough for a date. It also works whether you're 25 or 75. How I would describe the woman wearing this perfume is someone who is not a people pleaser or tries too hard, yet people immediately notices her subtle charms and is drawn towards her enthusiasm.

jessicva921

I love this perfume !
the deep musky vanilla and amber turns creamy and sweet on my skin, lingering for hours and creating a very mature, grown up scent. A little goes a long way, definitely not one to spray more than 2 times.
I have a sample that i'm trying to make last before I buy a bottle!
This is what I imagine Genevieve from Madeline smells like lol.

JackieM

Totally agree with Shwets - this has something Christmas about it. It is a winter night scent, though a glamorous one. Amber always leans a bit holiday to me, though it may be a personal association. If you have any aversion to patchouli whatsoever I would steer clear of Miss Dior Le Parfum however. It comes on strong and can make this "difficult" for some.

mademoiselle-c

The only sane reformilation of Miss Dior. This is pure elegance. Now this is how you do a reformulation/flanker.

Shwets

Stunning perfume! Like a rugged Coco eau de parfum.....the patchouli in this is amazing. It reminds me of Christmas - spicy, gingerbready and softly powder. Yet im wearing this in the heat and it smells gorgeous! Thank you to dear Feltface.

shauna.parra

The new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is an expensive smell though linear and simple. It's elegant and glamorous and fits the brand Dior quite well. I was afraid of wearing this perfume because I thought it would be a bit overpowering and old -lady but it's not. This is so lovely. Smells of beautiful roses pink and red roses in a bouquet very romantic and something for a bride on a summer wedding. Natalie Portman picked out the notes herself and did a terrific job. This is a good frag to wear as an alternative to the sweet girly Miss Dior Cherie or the body mist barely there scent Blooming Bouquet. It's the best in the Miss Dior line.

Opens with citruses and a little green note like green leaves around orange trees and a sweet mandarin juice. Fresh and very old timey but wearable for 2017. Smells of a teensy bit of aldehyde but it's very well done. The freshness is perfect for after your shower on a hot summer day. Smells of day time and summer. The citrus embraces rose notes. A good rose that becomes warmer and darker like a tea rose with chamomile and patchouli herbal touches. This part is more mature like Tea Rose Perfumer Workshop but much more enjoyable and less intense.

This perfume is modern but smells vintage and classic at the same time. It's like it's trying to compete with older classics like Chanel No. 5. Without the musk and the bigger green notes it's a simple soapy type of scent and really quite pretty. In the dry down a nice powder and vanilla take over kissing my skin with a softness like a blanket. So much to love about this perfume. It's gorgeous.

Call me a basic bitch, but I freaking love this perfume!

Yes, I know: every girl and her mom is wearing it...

And how can you blame them? It smells rich, heady, dazzling at a distance!

Basically, a real perfume!

It's got spunk, grit. A good patchouli oriental with a boozy, back of the throat rasp and a touch of smooth vanilla creaminess to let you know you're still in chic French territory (and haven't taken the train straight to India)

Strictly a cold weather perfume, btw. You don't want to suffocate people, nor give them "hippy-aunt" flashbacks.

I think what I like most about Miss Dior Parfum is it's slightly unsentimental, almost medicinal freshness.

This girl's passionate, but she knows how to keep her distance. ;)

ssaminn

To my nose, this opens with a HEAVYYYYYY patchouli and no complaints here as I love patchouli. I can also find a lot of amber in it plus a little bit of rose and vanilla.

The most surprising thing to me was that when I first spray it, I get a very delicious cacao as if I had opened a jar full of cacao powder. After 30 minutes I can still detect it, but it's harder as the sharp amber comes out to play.

After 1 hour the rose becomes more prominent, and it's my favorite part of the Miss Dior Le Parfum. It's like the most beautiful rose bouquet with some orange zest. It's really elegant, and the best thing is that there is no hint of musk, which is a note I hate! But this stage is when the scent is getting faint and much more close to the skin. Unfortunately, it doesn't project well, and I have to find the spot on my wrist to be able to smell it.

If I could amp up this stage of the Miss Dior Le Parfum by 5 times, I would buy it right now! Maybe if I did like 10 sprays of it, it would project the way I'm looking for! And this is supposed to be a "La Perfume"?! come on Dior! Stop watering down your designer line! Stop pretending like this is good stuff while you're still making beasts in your private niche side! :/

Longevity is 4 hours and in the last 2 hours, it will be a skin scent.

All in all, I think this is a beautiful, elegant spring scent for a girly but sexy woman between 25 and 35, Daily use preferred. It's non-offensive, safe and pleasant and it can be worn at work. BUT you need to spray a lot of it, so make sure you can afford it. :)

cpharr13

This is the perfume that invented perfume. It embodies feminity and throws caution to the wind if compared to "girliness". She's ALL woman and she's beautiful. All perfumes should look up to her as a mentor. This perfume is for any and every woman 21+. If this isn't in your collection, baby pull out that debit card and immediately head to Sephora or Ulta. Never purchase this from a website, it gets duped all the time and it's fake predaseccor is hideous. Lastly, it's sophistication will render you jaw dropped. Notes-schmopes, this baby was made by God... Nobody cares what's in it honey, put it on!

wallywinthrop

This is really astoundingly beautiful. The bottle is houndstooth glass, the liquid glowing golden. I've had my bottle for a year and the essence of the perfume is tinting the cap golden a little. I feel like this is a rich, true perfume in every sense - like something you'd find on Jane Russell's dressing table. I smell amber, patchouli and rose - definite shades of Chanel's original Coco but still retaining the spirit of Miss Dior. This is a gorgeous redux of the old-fashioned perfumes of the 1940's and 1950's. Like if La Vie Est Belle had less vanilla and more amber and rose, with a touch of orange. Fabulous!

olga_adriana

A true perfume.

Feminine, classy, and classic but still remarkably unique. Very tasteful and alluring. I'm very drawn to this perfume and it's become one of the most popular in my wardrobe. If only the bottles were bigger than 40ml, then we'd be in business!

Amber, rose, and patch are the key players here, and they all share the spotlight. One doesn't dominate over the other, they all blend together as a perfect trifecta. I don't get much vanilla, but there's certainly a detectable hint of orange there which lends the perfume a sweetness. Overall, Miss Dior le parfum has an almost thick, syrupy quality to it. Not in a cloyingly sweet way, just in the sense that the ingredients are rich and concentrated. I love it so much that I'd probably wear in summer too but with one or two sprays vs. the three of four i've been wearing in winter.

its an elegant but young scent, and i think anyone could wear this. its really beautiful. very femme, quite a regal air about it...

redskyatnight

Miss Dior Le Parfum departs from the fun girlishness of the rest of the Miss Dior line and creates a mood suitable for a seductive evening. Oh my gosh, this is along the lines of Coco. The Ambroxan is heavy (when is it not?), along with patchouli and a touch of rose and orange. Once I'm down to the base notes there is a lot of tonka. That is, I smell tonka the next day, because this lasts all the way through. Sillage is huge, as someone could smell me across the room and indeed throughout the house. That was with half a spritz. HALF. Now THIS is a perfume.

Margreet

Aw my... this scent s just perfect in a way. As someone said, its the old chypre vibe mixed with modern warmth. Its a modern classic. Chic for the women who do not want to wear theirs mothers scent anymore but make their own history. Strong and warm at once. I just love it.
Silage: just right
Longevity: endless

To me, Miss Dior Le Parfum is the queen of all fragrances - after a long journey, I have found the scent that defines me, uplifts me makes me feel alive. But so as not to waste such a precious juice, I like one spritz of Miss Dior Le Parfum spread between pulse points, then use about four spritzes all over with Yardley Jade, and use Jade to top up during day - both scents are chypre-florals and complement each other like magic. I think I have found my perfume nirvana! If this combination does not work with your skin chemistry, try a dab of your favourite EDP and find an EDT in the same fragrance family to layer and top up for that uplift in the day...good luck in your unique fragrance hunt! :)

dglightblue

Ok, I've given a review if this before
But
I tried one in a pharmacy or maybe the dept store and it was in winter/spring and it was this sweaty wood for hours, though the dry down was amazing. I couldn't justify the price if I had to sit through sweat for that long. I did not check the product codes for these.

I tried this again in mid summer, from another pharmacy and it was a woody vanillary bomb, I loved it. I checked the product code and it was fresh.

I bought one online and it's a bit older but, it tends to skip past the woody notes and go straight to the lovely dry down I love. I want the wood, but good to know yeah??

juraslauva

I was in a pursuit of a new spring fragrance. I really wanted to like this perfume but the patchouli was too strong for my liking. However, I do like amber in this one but wished for a stronger vanilla scent that to my nose wan't too noticeable. I'm glad I did not make a blind buy!

iamoir

Miss Dior Le Parfum is very different from all the Miss and Mademoiselle flankers. No, scratch that, Mistress Dior is in my opinion the only flanker any lady should buy.

-more dense and rich? Yes!!
-pronounced sophisticated character/elegant? Not only, to my nose she is "dirty" in a good way too. The exact aspect the rest of Miss/Mademoiselle flankers are missing
-seductive, sensual and intoxicating? Absolutely
-nocturnal fragrance, suitable for special rendezvous? Yes, but it deserves to be worn even in daytime.
-oriental? Yes
-chypre character? it might have amber and patchouli but judging by the result she isn't a chypre, not even chypre-like. If it had either oakmoss or vetiver as well ,then it would resemble a chypre.
-prominent and opulent floral notes? No florals come off this perfume.

Perfumer François Demachy said he “wanted to bring something precious and luminous to the composition of Miss Dior Le Parfum, like an oriental jewellery set or the reflections of shimmering fabric.” I will have to disagree with Monsieur Demachy... Miss Dior Le Parfum is way darker than what he intended it to be. Precious it is, but nothing luminous here, its fumes remind me of a lady in a black turtleneck always holding a cigarette, with a serious expression, yet smiling eyes.

Starts straight up with amber to me. Patchouli develops in a matter of minutes and for the first two-three hours it is heady and not cloyingly sweet. I sense something vanillic, and a lot of smoke, so amber here is basically labdanum and vanilla. The patchouli although in the background, is a realistic one. Nor hippy-ish (sweet beauty Angel Thierry Mugler) and neither clean, rounded up (Coco Mademoiselle I'm pointing at you). Realistic herbalish patchouli and not so prominent.
Not many of layers: citrus adds and then rose is more prominent.
After three hours of wear the only thing is amber and the rest could be almost undetectable in the background. Heavy and mature.

While wearing it, I made a connection with Prada Amber. Most prominent notes of both are amber and patchouli. They do resemble each other, but they aren't sister perfumes. If you like amber but not patchouli, try Miss Dior Le Parfum. Honestly if i sniffed the drydown without having experienced it from the start I would hardly tell that there's pathouli. Prada Amber on the other hand is definitely patchouli centered and in the drydown, even though the resins are a lot more prominent, patchouli is clearly detectable.

Long lasting but I wouldn't say it projects much.

A yes from me

dglightblue

I don't know how people love this...
I get a very woody opening, heaven help you if you get in your clothes, you might smell musky rose or patchouli, but then you get sweat smell. I don't get much else for hours, only after 3 hours do I get something I like, a long lasting subdued musky floral thing.
But to wait that long to like it, no thanks, not for $200.
I'll give it credit though, its deep, it shows it's layers slowly, it seems like a long lasting frag.. I would try this first though. Nice that it's not a fruit bomb

umsultan

Elegant and delicious Amber fragrance. very warm and soothing. definitely a fall/winter fragrance.

a character of its own, i cant compare it with Miss dior cherie at all..but if i have to then i would say that miss dior cherie had come of age. she's grown into miss dior le parfum now.

Adina Galani

No, this is not L'Originale, though it is much confused with that one, or with the Miss Dior EDP, thanks to the Dior house who has driven us mad with the multitude of flankers. Ok, a small detailles, if U ever get as confused as I was, I tell You, the bow on the lid of Le Parfume, feels rough to the touch and it is mat, comparing to others. I would have loved this one to have been a fragrance of its own, not a miss Dior flanker. But beside name and being a flanker, this is an absolutely beautiful masterpiece. I love it, I really do and we will be friends for long now on I am sure. Yes, the 2012 reformulation was a bit different, but the 2015 is bit less sweet which for me is a good feature. I think now is time for a new release, Dior, hmmm? U didn't quite hit the roof with Your absolutely Blooming which personally, I would have released in spring, for being so flowery. But, well, You guys know better.

skyneverfall

I first try it and didn't like it, then like it again, then finally ask to get the sample from Sephora. When I got home and smell it again, no... I don't like it but then I smell it again after 2 months past. I fall in love. I order 2 bottles! It was a love hate for me at the beginning. I guess it is because the combo of rose and patchouli is very outstanding. But when I really smell the magic in this simple combination, you get the feeling fresh, bright, sensual, luxury and classic in one.

IrisLily

It is very nice. I like it actually. But Miss Dior Cherie was my signature for years, my absolute perfume love, and when I smell this...I just miss Miss Dior Cherie. Makes me sad that it was discontinued, so I can't wear this one as lovely as it is.

Nicole79

Le parfum....i try it today and it,s indeed a nice fragrance but. ...reminded me coco edp a lot ! Coco edp it,s sweeter and stronger in the base notes . It,s the amber note that makes it so similar to Coco !

Edemay

Beautiful fragrance, just got my sample today.
Thankfully its nothing like miss dior cherie, which is too sweet for me.
This is like the mature, sexy, big sister.
theres just enough sweetness, powder, citrus and spiciness and it blends so nicely
A very classy scent, i will probably be ordering a full bottle.

Perfumeaddict777

I was lucky enough to get a 2012 version of miss dior la perfume. Im pretty sure it's the preformulated version. This blossoms so beautifully on my skin! This is the first chypre in my collection and i love love love it! At first spray i smell oranges and lots of patcholi. As it dries down i swear i smell oakmoss though it's not listed in the notes, and it reminds me of agent Provocateur's Petale Noir. I had my husband smell it just to see what he thinks and he said it smells like oranges, buttered popcorn and tabacco. Lol. This is a very rich and thick perfume. As it continues to wear the ambery notes and roses peak out still retaining the oakmoss notes. The sillage is perfect and after a couple hours it becomes closer to the skin. Longevity is pretty good lasting between 6 to 8 hours on my skin and that's good to me seeing that i have perfume eating skin. Wonderful scent. I haven't smelled the new version but the 2012 is amazing.

samloves

I tried this on a tester card as I thought it was going to be like Miss Cherie which is sweet, sickly and boring but how wrong was I, it is a rich vanilla with a bit of a masculine vibe going on. Would I buy it yes if money was no object.

blake.lee

This was reformulated and repackaged in late 2015. The bottle looks very different with a thick, chunky top and the bow is much smaller and less ornate. The bottle looks top heavy now with the silly oversized cap. The fragrance is also very different. It's dustier and less sweet. I really don't like it anymore. My bottle and fragrance from 2014 are much nicer. If you want to try this fragrance, get your hands on the pre reformulation version. I was so disappointed when I recieved my new bottle from Macys.com a few days ago.

wendyha

I was searching for a replacement scent for Birmane by Van Cleef & Arpels that got discontinued. Birmane and Miss Dior Le Parfum are both oriental fragrances with citrus, vanilla and rose, and I guess that is why the salesman advised me to try Miss Dior Le Parfum. He gave me a special Miss Dior Le Parfum paper cup, with the perfume sprayed over it. I kept sniffing that paper cup when I got home, because it smelled so delicious

So today, a few weeks later I went back into town and tested it on my skin. At first it smelled nothing like the delicious oriental vanilla fragrance that I smelled at home. It was more a strong patchouli scent, with amber and some vanilla. After an hour I could finally smell some rose in the distance and even less mandarin orange in the far distance. That was really a dissapointment, because I really love the mandarin orange in Siam Flamboyant and the pineapple, bergamot and citron in Birmane. Then the patchouli started to fade away and after a few hours the vanilla started to smell stronger and stronger, but unfortunately the rose and the mandarin orange also completely faded away.

I honestly never noticed that a scent changed this much within a few hours after I put it on. Maybe that is the sign of a quality perfume, but I like it better if I love a scent the moment I spray it on, till the moment it completely fades away. With this scent it was like I went from wearing a scent like Flowerbomb (that I used to love, but that I don't like anymore) to wearing a scent like Want by DSquared hours later, but fortunately with more sillage.

I am really glad that I tested this scent, but I won't be buying it. It is not the replacement for Birmane that I was looking for.

gillbert

It is an intense version. Mandarin as a top note make it fresh and citrusy. Roses instantly coming across the scent. I can sense a lot of roses to make it very flowery. In dry down i can smell a lot of amber and patchouli. Amber and patchouli are so rich to make it wet powdery and bit earthy. Yes, vanilla note is still there but in minimal drops. This perfume is absolutely potent, warm, rich, sensual, sexy and mature.

Comparing to Miss Dior EDP, this perfume is richer, deeper and stronger compositions. Longevity and sillage are amazing. it last 10 hours on my skin.

blake.lee

This is so delicious! It's a heavy, very sweet, slightly spicy patchouli. The rose is there but in this composition it's sweet and jammy not sharp or powdery. I can't stand sharp, powdery Rose notes, but I could bath in sweet, jammy rose.

Nicole5678

Love at first sniff! I got myself a sample of Miss Dior Le Parfum at Sephora months ago and forgot about until just a few days ago. How could I have forgotten this? It's rich, warm, and just sweet enough--a delight from its mandarin top to its amber-vanilla bottom. To boot, its long lasting, lingering on my arm until late at night. There's not a single moment of this beauty that I don't love, and just added a bottle to my collection. I usually go for the hard-to-love vintage variety (think Shalimar or Youth-Dew). This to me is different--it's modern, elegant, and simply beautiful.

mystica

That's a must try for rose and patchouli lovers. A megadose of amber adds depth to the composition whereas vanilla gives it a -just right- sweet edge. Notes-wise, it's not a complicated perfume and it shows (smells as such), but it's very successfully blended and compact. Enveloping, pleasant and delightfully heavy. It smells modern and rich, and a little goes a long way.

Price-wise, it's not exactly designer, and actually more expensive than some niches. Smell-wise too, it stands on the same line in between. It's way too opulent and successfully done to dismiss as mere designer by the current trends, yet it doesn't reflect the characteristics of a niche either. Le Parfum is what you can do BEST in an age of reformulations and a lot of missing-banned ingredients, and I wish we had more designer perfumes reflecting its traits...

Le Parfum was a big like for me at first smell, years ago. I am not sure if we are or ever to become in an exclusive love relationship, but I was really wanting it in my collection.

Thanks to the generosity of @mufulia, I now have 3 sample vials which I truly cherish and reserve for special occassions.

Le Parfum can now actually be the best thing offered by Dior along with Miss Dior L'originale.

Marino419

Every time I smell this on someone, it brings me happy thoughts. I can't figure out why that is, but there is something tied to my memory. This is a must own for the ladies out there. It is patchouli and amber done right.

When my ol lady rocks this, it really sets the mood.

Malonet9189

Can we have a moment of silence for this masterpiece please? *silence*
I was totally content with my current collection until I took a whiff of this. MD Le Parfum is a completely different ball game to the EDT and EDP. It is smoother, richer, undeniably more seductive and feminine but not loudly projecting...oh noo....MD Le Parfum is similar to old money. No need for the bells and whistles because class recognises class in spite of. Pure élégance. The way in which this fragrance stays close to the skin but remains smelling the exact same as the moment of application hours upon hours later can only be explained as sorcery. I will own this one day...and when I do, lets just say, hide your significant others ;)

Kon-nos91

Finally, after a lot of searching and thoughts, I tried it. I was ready to smell something richer based on the stronger EDT compared to EDP of new Miss Dior. What I had is a way different perfume. I just love it! Orange fades away fast as it's the top. Amber is all I get together with a soft tone of thick burgundy roses, just a pinch of vanilla and for sure a sophisticated patchouli base.

I don't know why but it's a favorite and classy smell although notes like patchouli or rose aren't my favorites at all. What impresses me although a high concentrated perfume, is that it gives me a feeling of freshness. Like a clean natural skin's smell after shower. It's a bit mature, gives me feelings of comfort, a true character, a Dior's, simply romantic...

You can't call it a perfume with a huge sillage, but this powedery long lasting power becomes one with the skin. This is it's magic. You know what I think? Miss Dior-Le parfum is the key of the door that separates old Miss Dior with the new one.

AliPratt25

Wow.....what a fragrance! I recently bought this based on all the reviews and recommendations on here. I sprayed one spray on left wrist, dabbed on right wrist and spritzed once lightly on my neck. Boom! Patchouli bomb, amber, tobacco?, citrus, that "old lady" perfume smell that I associate with diaper pails and ash trays. I almost scrubbed it! But, I decided to wait it out and I'm glad I did. After the first couple of minutes this settles into a beautiful caramel, boozy, minty, slightly rose, warm ambery goodness. This is not for the faint of heart! This is a womanly, powerful, sexy, mature, classy...definitely night time and winter time scent. This is a scent that I would reserve for a special night out with a loved one whom I only wanted to pay attention to me. I swoon a liitle bit when I smell this dry down....definitely a candle light dinner, dancing, romantic, cuddling and then "who knows what gonna happen" type of scent! In my opinion anyway......:)

Alisa90

This perfume is very expensive but it's worth the money! I love it!

sky blue

This is actually softer, rounder and closer to the skin than EdP, with less sillage than EdP but with much better staying power. This is grown up Miss Dior, a classy, womanly honeyed scent. It is well balanced floral-resinous-balsamic scent with some discreet rose sweetness (almost something like a very soft strawberry note). No sharpness, no harsh notes, strong but not overwhelming, elegant and really one of the best in todays Dior range.

Neckromancer

Thank God the patchouli is softer in this one (compared to Coco Mademoiselle) and there is no sign of that moldiness. This perfume is fresh, despite the amber. It is also very feminine. It's inoffensive to my nose. The rose is not too prominent either. This is more than the sum of its parts. I can't really fully describe it.

cherlynnie

You take this pristine piece of art out of the box and start to take a look at it. Slowly scrutinizing and enjoying the sight of a shiny metallic plate carefully carved with words of 'Miss Dior Le Parfum'. That textured metallic bow, it draws you in so strong that you were glad you made the right choice to blindbuy this.

You open the familiar looking cap with some strength and place it gently and safely on the bed. The metallic ribbon doesn't fall out of place, the slight scent of amber wafting from the spray nozzle, you turn the nozzle hole facing the back of the bottle like always do. First spray on the left, second spray on the right...

Whats next that i did?????

I did not immediately dig my nose into the scent. The scent danced around me on its own. As strong as the metallic bow it is. I smell fresh cut roses on a small patch of patchouli leaves, none fighting against one another but blending in harmoniously to create a perfect mature Miss Girly scent. Amber shows up slowly and shyly at first but grows bolder over the minutes. It became the main showstopper... it is the scent that nobody can forget... whether in a good way or bad way. Amber and patchouli took the rose out of the entire scene and what reminded me was my mother's vintage scent she wore during her younger years. This amber hit the noses of every passerby for sure. It was quite strong, it turned heads. At night as i got home, i took a hot shower with some mild soap and in that warm steaming bathroom, Amber was filling up air. And on my arms it lingered near. Le parfum. Probably the most lasting miss dior in the series.

gritzalimaria

Marvelous fragrance, masterpiece, love, beauty, what should i say about this unique perfume, winter kiss, rain and fire, cozy, elegant, wow wow wow

:D <3 <3 <3

perfumeproblem777

Alright, I have to add another review for this masterpiece. This is my fall/winter signature, everyone I've ever dated knows me for this scent. It's warm amber, patchouli, and deep vanilla that wraps you up in an embrace and stays with you all night long. The patchouli took a little getting used to, but after trying it out a few times I was hooked. It's mature, sweet, sophisticated, sexy, and everything I could want in a signature. It is my number one most - complimented fragrance, for men and women. This scent just smells like me now, and I will always have a bottle in my collection.

miko29

Amber is so strong, almost explodes and I can barely detect rose or patchouli.
Longevity is a monster. One spray to tester paper and after a day it is still there, not the mention and headache when you first spray. Luxury, mature and definitely hit 30-40 group

Natasha277

I bought this without smelling it first because I assumed that it would be a stronger version of the original miss Dior. When I got home and sprayed it on my skin , I realized that this was a completely different perfume. This is a rich, classic powerful fragrance . I can't detect any of the original miss Dior DNA in it . It reminds me , although they don't smell alike , the organza by Givenchy. They both have the same warm, sweet creamy quality. All the Dior perfumes have an airy, thin electric quality but this one is very full, rich ,grounded ,thick and creamy . Although it has that sweet candy caramely quality it has be done very well and tasteful and it doesn't feel cheep or very hip and modern this scent to me screams rich classic and expensive. It's definitely a winter perfume because of its thickness and warmth. But despite its warmth it's not comforty or huggy and cuddly it's a scent I would wear to go out on a dinner in an expensive restaurant. Although it seems to be very strong when I first wear it after a while calms down to a soft sweet powdery caramely ambery scent. It has good staying power and good sillage . Those types of scents pretty much always are good for both sexes but this on is definitely more on the feminine side . Although I adore this perfume I find it a bit too much for everyday use I keep it for special occasions only

luna morena

A truly beautiful, classy, elegant and stunnig fragrance, it really stands out among many others in the mainstream market today.

Nicoscent90

As a 24 year old female, I strongly recommend testing this in the store before you contemplate on purchasing. Unfortunately for me it was a rather expensive mistake (£70 GBP for a 40ml) as it was a complete impulse buy online. At first spray I was overwhelmed by the amber and patchouli, and that was all that i seemed to get.

However, I'm not one to give up on a perfume so I decided to try it again to get used to the scent. As it developed it just seemed to become super powdery and ultra mature smelling quite reminiscent of something my Grandmother may have worn - very 'red door-esque'. Just didn't work with my body chemistry at all. Nice expensive smelling scent - just not for me!

genny17

This is lovely, very sunny and bright, top notes are zesty fresh, I find it more suited for spring or summer though, it isn't what I usually wear, but I like it. Not a love though....it has amazing sillage, and longevity is great...nice creation, definitely the Dior touch, stylish. Feminine.modern with a classy edge!!

Sorush

Well, This is my love perfume,My fiance used to wear it and i love it so much, but she died in a car crash and only the half of her Miss Dior is left behind and the scent of love....

Agata654

I love this perfume! This is definitely my personal favourite from Miss Dior series...

Firstly I want to say to those that don't like other Miss Dior fragrances, do try this one, as to me it's a completely different take on Miss Dior and doesn't bear much resemblance to the other perfumes from this line.

The notes are perfectly balanced here and they all work in synchrony to create this delicious composition. I feel like it's very hard to describe how this perfume smells, as the notes are in high concentrations and they are detectable even after long hours! I personally can't smell much of a rose here, but amber definitely stands out in this scent. I feel like if this perfume could be a woman, she would be beautiful, sexy, dark, charismatic and seductive and yet very very mysterious...

I feel like this fragrance is so feminine, powerful, slightly seductive, but also very elegant and timeless. I wear it for special occasions only as well as it's a perfect scent for a date! I simply adore this fragrance and Dior, don't you even dare to discontinue it or change formulation here!

jacmac

I find the rose note much more dominant than most other reviewers here. I tend to like vanilla/patchouli/amber fragrances, but this one just yelled FLORAL all day long. Lasts over 12 hours, and the scent profile didn't fluctuate too much for me. I'm just not sure I'm into smelling like a bouquet and not much else. The rose seems a bit loud to me.

fgamz

I loved this scent, on the paper strip!

I put this on my wrist and I ended up smelling like my grandmothers respite group.. Sadly this wasn't for me, I might wait a few more years until I mature into this fragrance.

Toom_Snoopy

I'm not good at describing the scent especially the smell of each note. Le Parfum smells like Dana Tabu Perfumed Talc. It's classic, sophisticated, and a little bit vintage. The first note is a bit medicinal but it morphs to rich ambery sweet powdery scent. It's a more grown-up version of Miss Dior line.

Swamp Lily

It's a damn shame that Dior decided to create so many variations in the Miss Dior line, Miss Cherie Dior becomes Miss Dior edt and what's this Miss Dior (new) Eau de parfume?! It would be sooooo easy to pick up the wrong bottle especially if you were buying a gift for someone. The bubbly popcorny edt for instance is a markedly different fragrance from Le Parfum. They should not share the same name.

That being said .. I Loove Miss Dior Le Parfum, it is a heavenly gentle Amber with a touch of citrus and the lightest dashes of patchouli and vanilla. There is no heavy handedness in this perfume. The silage is gentle and longevity moderate. The rose is mellow. I probably wouldn't even have tried it had I known that the mid notes were rose AND rose. Rose and I don't usually get along. But here everything is blended so expertly that this is THE perfume that if I were wealthy, would become my signature scent. Until then (haha) I'll have to save it for good.

mmiched

I just purchased a bottle of this on a blind buy. I love most of the Dior's. So I was reading all of the above reviews and could not wait any longer. I sprayed one little spray on my wrist. My hubby came in from outside and said what is that smell? Is that you? I said yes, he said it smells incredible. You smell great! It is very strong but beautiful. I absolutely love it and am happy he does too. I get all sweetness but it is sultry at the same time. A perfect masterpiece!

Matho:)

I love this perfume, it's rich and layered

ClippyluvsMU

Miss Dior Le Parfum is a beautiful, sweet, mature and sophisticated woman.
I am always afraid of patch in my frags, but this one has it tamed and babysitting all the sweetness swirling about it. The amber gives an expensive and deep vibe that dances with the patch. My skin eats frag, but this lasts for at least 8 hours on me. WOW. I can't imagine how long this lasted before reformulation.
I have to put this in my personal top ten of frags; as does my mother. I walked into her house and the first thing she said was, "you smell wonderful! What is that?" Thank goodness I had brought my decant supplies, otherwise she would have taken my FB!
I will be getting MD EDP next, and look forward to it being just as amazing as this one is.

Tested this on my wrists (2 sprays) several hours ago. I love the first 15 minutes, it smelled like an intense version of the 2005 Miss Dior Cherie which had once been my signature, I even thought I smelled strawberries...but after that phase has passed, it turns into a deeper and more mature scent...I get a Coco Chanel vibe out of this (current formulation of Coco). Like a younger/modern Coco stripped of clove, not as multi-faceted as Coco, but still very elegant, sensual and rich. Loads of AMBER and sweet bulgarian rose, but minus all the bells and whistles of Coco's oriental notes, and modernized with a squeeze of citrus and patchouli (although the amber here definitely dominates the patchouli, so it's amber, amber, amber that's screeching out on my skin and I'm not really getting that much patchouli tbh).

I'm not into thick, sweet amber scents like Coco, so similarly I'm not really digging this. If you enjoy the rich, sweet amber-rose aspect of Coco but find it: too 80's/too spicy/too formal/and etc, you may love this one. And to those who are wondering (because the notes listed are similar): It smells nothing like Midnight Poison. I owned and adored MP, the 2007 version. Midnight Poison is much heavier on the patchouli and has a cold, dark, 'foggy' vibe, almost unisex, whereas Miss Dior Le Parfum is very heavy on the amber and very warm, sweet and extremely feminine...they are so different. Even the rose note smells different in each, MP has a more sour-ish, dewy rose, and this one is pure sweet rose oil. I love MP and I can't wait to wash this one off. Please do not blind buy thinking they are anything similar.

LetThereBeMe

Ive always had the preconception that this is a fragrance for the masses and as a result, I never tested it.

Today, I did a paper test. On first sniff, I liked it.. Second sniff, I thought: "it reminds me of Midnight Poison"
Got home to see that the compositions are almost identical.

I havent done a skin test yet but Id happily wear this more often and save my precious for special occasions :)

eta: i finally did that skin test, and while the opening is definately reminiscent of Dior's Midnight Poison, the drydown is ALL amber; quite a dry amber on my skin.

rikalin

I tested because I'm die hard Miss Dior fan and bottle looks just gorgeous!! But I don't wanna blind buy because so so expensive. I love love the dry down. Very different from all the other Miss Dior Cherie/ Miss Dior. However opening and middle note is too strong for me and I don't think I can wear this daily. It's gorgeous scent and I wanna get it one day for special event!!

jan17

For those who want a great perfume for unforgettable moments, the class of roses + a touch of vanilla, and the smell of the owners are amber and patchouli basically lese hurts is that will give the cards in this game ... Advice? Grab your MISS DIOR LE PARFUM before the Dior line take haha...

xxsaphxx

I wore this on our first date, will always remind me of him.

This perfume is exquisite. Beautiful. Sophisticated. Will always have a place in my heart.

Shoshi

I expected to like this, assuming it was a stronger/deeper version of Miss Dior. (the new one/Cherie).
It's not.

It doesn't smell like Miss Dior at all!
It smells like a whole other fragrance.

That's fine, and it's not a bad scent. It's basically a basenote-heavy patchouli-amber scent. I smell little florals, maybe some jasmine.

And, most of all, I smell NO strawberry!
Strawberry is the distinguishing note of Miss Dior, which is a fruity floral/patchouli scent.
This version is NOT FRUITY at all.

Therefore to me it doesn't smell like Miss Dior.

Yayatan

The most distinguishable note is amber, you say? *sniff at my clothes* Hmm, I might have found a new favourite note, and a new favourite perfume too!

Dimitra79

Amber, amber and just amder. Warm, elegant but very generic.
For my amber needs I 'll stick with my lovely l'ambre des merveilles. She's the queen of ambers for me.
As for miss Dior le parfum...where is miss Dior??? This one has nothing to do with the other miss Dior perfumes, which is fine if you don't like them, but if you do want them (something similar to the 2005 and on Cherie) the eau de parfum is the best choice imho.
And that's what I bought today.

Purrbaby

Classy and Confident.
I would describe the feelings I get when I am wearing this as, powerful, confident, Sophisticated. The smell is a bit of spice, deep, with some sprinkling of mature sweetness. The lasting power on me was over 12 hours. I personally prefer the sweeter Miss Dior though.

juji

Well, this is my second try with the beautiful Miss Dior. I got a new sample tonight of the Parfum. Originally I really liked it but the more I'm honest with myself...I just don't live it that much. I'm sorry to say this but yes, it's Dior, it's a beautiful creation. I just smell about a hundred sorority girls packed into a bar giggling and doing shots. Too young forme despite the beautiful notes and longevity. Too much of something that's just everywhere. And this is from someone who wears Coco! I'm sorry to not really comment on the notes of the actual juice; that's been covered already.

pretty mini collector

Edit: I posted this for the wrong perfume initially.

I just fell in love with this about half an hour ago. The initial spray is bright citrus and white flowers. Then it immediately goes into a powdery rose phase. There's caramel or vanilla mixed into this as well.

Next is a spice that I'm not sure I can pinpoint. It's peppery, but not pepper. I want to say cassia, but I could be wrong. It's got a bit of a cinnamon-like smell. It's kinda smoky as well.

I don't smell any patchouli at all, thankfully.

And the musk grows in intensity with time. When I first sprayed this, barely any musk, and now half an hour later, the musk and rose are battling it out for center stage. I can't wait to get a bottle of my own!

Alayna1011

This is really, really beautiful. The best MDC since the 2005 version (and although I am a huge fan of the 2005 version, I honestly find this one to be just as good if not better.) It is ultra feminine, warm and sweet. The sillage is just right without being overpowering and although it's sweet, it's not cloying or sickly. I don't smell a lot of patchouli actually, I think it's just there to temper the sweetness. For some reason it seems very floral+fruity smelling (I guess the fruitiness could be coming from the orange top note, but I think it's more likely that the rose is so sweet it takes on a candy/fruity aspect).

Signature scent worthy and one of the safer blind buys out there (though I would encourage everyone to always test everything before purchasing). Just gorgeous.

Edit - now that I've heard all the Miss Dior line has been repackaged (for the millionth time) could someone please comment if this scent has been reformulated? I'm scared!! Well, I got a back-up just in case..

lat

Miss Dior Le Parfum oozes warmth, rich opulence and luxury.
I mainly detect sweetened rose (like in Turkish delight), amber and patchouli.
The overall feel I have is that of an aromatic tobacco.
I'm still testing this, not sure if I dare to wear it everyday. Maybe I should wait a few more years and grow up a little more.

Nataja

Elegant, rich, warm.opulent, super sexy is this bottle of sparkling, toasty amber champaigne is in a class all by itself! This is Dior's best creation yet,but still expensive! Smells wealthy, and sublime! Not for teenies, this is for women with high, upscale taste!

New update for fall 2015! So the temperatures have dropped like the leaves! And I pulled her back out!!! I had some last minute errands to take care of and a group of coffee-break employees stopped me dead in a stairwell, the compliments were overwelming! Good to have her back in my life!

resio

Le Parfum is such warm, amber-y goodness, and it's my first (and current) love. One spray, held as far away as possible, and I can smell it all through a cold and windy day, and for days afterward I still get whiffs of it in my room just from that one sweater. It's perfectly sweet, creamy, and spicy, wonderfully rich and comforting.

smellingtheroses7

Let me preface this by saying I have Miss Dior Cherie (the original formulation) and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet as well as Le Parfum. I like them all, but Le Parfum is my favorite. It is so deep and intriguing and compels me to sniff my wrist and really contemplate it. I find the original Cherie is sweeter (and reminds me a bit of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle), and I think Blooming Bouquet is light, sweet and airy, which dries down on me to a clean, fresh scent which is perfect for warm weather. Le parfum stands alone. I can see how some might find this too strong, heady, and mature, but it works well with my chemistry to produce a very appealing amber fragrance. Completely smitten!

EDIT: Like others mentioned, the longevity is impressive. Yes, at first spray it is super-concentrated and not the most pleasant scent--more akin to grandpa's cologne. Patience. I sprayed it on my wrist and could still easily smell it 12 hours later; it got on my jacket sleeve and it's still there *three days* later.

2nd review

I don't own a bottle of this one, but it's actually one of the very few Dior that I respect among the news.
I sprayed it quite a number of times from testers! I still love it, but I need to add that this is a freaking chamaleon, which is probably part of its charme. It goes from initial harshness to candy rose to gentle patchouli and on...
It's very persistant and it keeps changing on my skin all day long. This is the proof that Dior knows how to make a good one when they want to. Still a modern/commercial one somehow, but definetely luscious and high quality stuff. Unfortunately it doesn't come cheap.

ginger68

Wow! Beautiful! I don’t like rose and pachouli but.. but.. here these notes are addictive. This fragrance is classy, french, warm. I tried it after reading many enthusiastic reviews and I must admit that it’s a really good work.
Here in Italy the price is high but I recognize Miss Dior Le Parfum deserves every euros. It’s gourmand in a very grown up way, not for girls. It’s perfect for women who love complex fragrances. Chic, comfortable and sexy in a very elegant way. Amber is wonderful here!

Bublegum

For me Miss Dior Le Parfum is were the Original Miss Dior and the new Miss Dior are meeting each other. It starts green and sweet at the same time. I am not a particular fan of green notes, but it has something addicting to it. The opening reminds in a way the Original Miss Dior but the drydown, reminds you of the new Miss Dior, I guess because of the patchouli. It is a nice scent, although I prefer the two others. As already mentioned by other reviewers, you have to like green notes and patchouli. If you don't, then don't even try it. The sillage and longevity are also good.

perfumeproblem777

This perfume...one of my first loves. When I bought my miss dior edt last year, I thought I was getting this, but I was wrong. I still love it, especially at night, but it was not what I had expected. Now, my bottle of Le parfum is on its way, and I couldn't be more excited. It's warm, seductive, sexy, but also fresh (until the dry-down). EDP had a harsh note in it that kicked my nose, but Le parfum does not have that at all. It embraces you and pulls you in, and you go willingly. I can't wait for this lovely lady to join my fragrance family. Soon, miss dior. Soon.

Sylvie-Aus

Oh yes, this one is a beauty ! It has a classy presence and takes a wonderful journey on my skin ! This development is gorgeous.! it starts warm , a slitty sweet mandarine , followed by the patchouli which melt with the roses to an amber / vanilla. Each steps are so smooth , it's a blend which defined itself beautifully on my skin . I am in love ! Finally it has been a while Dior !

euphorie

I adore this fragrance and I hope they don't reformulate any time soon. I liked the original Miss Dior Cherie (MDC) but I didn't love it. This was how I expected Miss Dior Cherie to be. Girly yet still classy with a hint of maturity. MDC was lovely but from my recollection, I didn't like how the notes didn't blend as nicely.

I like to think Le Parfum and the EDP to be siblings. Le Parfum is the older sibling who's about 10 years older. They aren't very close to each other but they're family.

I find that you don't need to spray on a lot. If you're wearing it on a warm day, it's almost overwhelming so it's best to reserve it for cooler weather and special occasions. On a date, perhaps, if you're feeling coy.

SnowFleur

I have had this perfume for a week now and it is LOVE!!!
I tried the tester in the shop and it was clearly exposed to too much fluorescent lighting. Yet I was still intrigued. Thanks to the reviews and descriptions by other fans of this I knew not to judge it by the tester.
I consider it somewhat of a blind buy but it was really thanks to so many glowing reviews that I bought it.
I am not sold on the longevity of the perfume yet. Some days I can hardly smell it....but I have noticed I can only smell it when I spray my neck and chest. If I spray it on my wrists it is gone in an hour or so....I don't do that anymore as it is clearly a waste!!!
So a great big thanks to all the fans who reviewed this one before me!!!

Oh!!! And I forgot to say anything about the smell!!! To me it is like Chanel's Coco and Miss Dior Cherie had a child and this is it!!!

flowers-in-the-springtime

I treated myself to a bottle of this because I love the smell.
Sure, it's not groundbreaking or unique, but it is utterly intoxicating, rich, sweet, elegant and classy.
The strength of this is almost like an elixir, it's strong, heavy and seductive. Le Parfum is most certainly an evening scent, one which should be worn to a romantic candle lit dinner for two, in a very expensive restaurant.
Team this perfume with a little black dress, high heels and some classy jewellery and this image should sum up the experience you get with this lovely fragrance.

HanamiTsukimi

I love amber and I love this. It's rich and full, a little spicy because of the patchouli, but still bright. A great choice for a night out as it's more intense than the original, but it's not going to knock anybody out either. Not to mention the bottle is gorgeous in person.

jedrzejowskia

Let me start with the fact that the dry down is to die for.
It's cozy, fluffy, warm and subtle.

I wish there was no top notes, then I would gladly purchase this. Because for about 2 hours I smell the dreaded metallic accord that I get in so many perfumes with a floral ingredient. It gives me a headache and it makes me a bit nauseous. It's not the mandarin orange, it's like something Jasmine-like. As soon as there is any Jasmine in a perfume it's a write off for me.... it's strange since there is no Jasmine in the notes at all here.

It's not the rose, and it's not the patchouli. The amber+patchouli+vanilla in the dry down is friggin fab. Anyhow, this was on my want list for a while but after testing it a few times I've realized I will not want to endure 2 hours of discomfort for that lovely feeling at the end. Damn you chemistry.

TillyWave_archive

Happy happy perfume! Uplifting and cheerful, bright and carefree! This is Miss Dior Le Parfum.
The heart and soul is amber, at first it is amber suffused with orange peel--what could be happier than fresh orange? Then the amber is complimented by a demure rose, and the amber becomes a bit spicier, with a hint of grit-from the patchouli perhaps?- as it delves into the heart. The vanilla comes around on the bottom, a raw smelling vanilla at that, and the patchouli note intensifies. But it's amber amber all the way. Very well done amber, nice sillage and lasting power too.

Arlene-Beatrix

Notes are true, it is intense amber. If you like amber very much, try it. For me it is just too overwhelming.

blue_belle

I went to the Dior counter to try Miss Dior today...and tried this by mistake. There were about seven bottles there and two of them looked almost identical. Oops!

The truth is, this is an AMBER perfume. It is possibly the most amber-filled creation I've ever tried. Luckily I like that, but I wasn't quite prepared for it based on what I thought I was reaching for. This is intensely spicy amber laced with patchouli and vanilla. There was maybe a hint of rose in there at one point, but I got no citrus at all.

This one was very nice on me. It's extremely strong and projects a lot, and the lasting power is incredible (8+ hours at the least). The drydown is creamy, beautiful vanilla. Mm.

Vanessa Dunlap

Wow. This is my first Dior fragrance, and I will cherish every drop. First, I have to say that I mourn the fact that I came too late to the Miss Dior Cherie party; it totally escaped my radar in the 2000s and I am too scared to go to Amazon or Ebay for it, as I've heard that (along with the renaming confusion) there are fakes of Cherie out there. So sadly I will probably never be able to experience Miss Dior Cherie. I had read reviews for the new Miss Dior EDP and I went to a Dillards to find it and sniff it out. I've been looking for a perfume featuring vanilla, jasmine and patchouli (but I have to be careful with patchouli because it can either be a friendly smell or a rancid cat pee smell on me) and I need a reliable patchouli. The new Miss Dior eau de parfum features a beautiful jasmine and is very fresh and sparkly, and the patchouli Dior uses is compatible with my chemistry (thank goodness). And then I picked up the tester for Le Parfum, and spritzed that on my other arm. Miss Dior Le Parfum shot up into my nose and then straight down to my heart and vanquished me! Everything inside me just went BOOM! Straight away I got the most gorgeous vanilla from this. The rose and mandarin are way in the background (they are there, but they are a soft support, with almost like a trace of a berry note) but on me this one is primarly amber, vanilla, and the patchouli gives it a dark, lush, almost boozy feel/smell (no cat pee). Bought it right then and there. I had only spritzed it on one arm and for the rest of my day's travels, I drew nothing but compliments from people. I can't compare this Miss Dior to previous versions, but it has won my heart and I will have it with me forever. I love how it is so concentrated, and one spray is all I need. It lasts forever on the skin. Later this year, I will go back for another bottle to store away for the future...all of this renaming and reformulating every few years is highly unsettling.

moonprismpower

This is the prettiest amber I've ever smelled. Actually, this is just one of the prettiest perfumes I've ever smelled. It's deep, warm, and smoky, yet very soft and powdery and sweet, almost reminds me of powdered detergent. The patchouli spices it up just enough but never takes over the composition as patchouli can do, and it's sweetened beautifully by the vanilla base. The mandarin gives it just a little something else to round it out, this is is one of Dior's best. I can still feel it on me after two showers. Divine quality and lasting power that I expect from a parfum from the house of Dior...far removed from the 1000 Addict flankers that smell like nothing. Do more of THIS, Dior!

Antares811

I'm not a huge fan of amber but this scent is really divine!
All the notes are perfectly blended.
So elegant, longlasting, sultry, sweet and ultra feminine, it's an amazing oriental scent (I can detect a hint of incense too). It really smells like a modern and lighter version of Coco, it also reminds me a bit of Poison (because of incense) and a little bit of Flowerbomb (but MDLP is far superior) for the light caramel note.
The drydown is to die for, warm and powdery: similar to Coco Noir's one but slightly sweeter.
Powerful yet cozy, lasts forever. Perfect for fall/winter but if you spray it with light hand you can wear it all year round (summer evenings too).
A stunning fragrance in a bottle that is a true work of art.
A must have for amber/patchouli scents lovers.

ecerusen

some guys say that this one's notes are very similar with midnight poison so this can be rid of midnight poison's discontinued but IT'S WRONG.

let me tell you why, yes the under lane goes with the same vibe but the upper lanes different. midnight poison gives you a spicy upper lane and le parfum gives you amberbased sugary upper lane.

different stories, but both of them are gems.

lesgalaxies

This, I much prefer to the new edp -- warmer, a little spicier with the patchouli but still smooth and voluptuous, though perhaps in the vain of a 18 year-old to 20-something range. (I do think any woman/girl is capable of wearing and pulling off any scent she truly loves.) I think I'd feel more like my adolescent self if I were to wear this, so it's not really for me.

I do get a strong caramel note, though it's not listed. Must be the warm amber and mandarin. Either way, this is a worthy successor of the 2005 Miss Dior Cherie! They are not the same, but are a part of the same bloodline.

Dior has really disappointed me with the quality of their fragrances, so this was a pleasant surprise. I didn't get any synthetic notes from this, just a warm, sensual amber with playful fruit and sassy, sharp patchouli. Something Lolita (Delores Haze) would wear, for sure.

frag-overdose

This is
everything gorgeous
in a bottle.

Nothing similar,
but it reminds me
of Miss Dior Cherie (2005)
It has a beautifully rich,
sweet-smelling scent.
It smells like caramel
popcorn and honeyed
almond mixed with
subtle florals.

Lasting power
is exceptional
with good projection.
Yes, this is a 'loud'
fragrance but it is not
offensive or piercing at all.
I'd say it is rather charming
and quite seductive.

If you want something
sweet but not being too
gourmand, this chypre is
one of the best options
you should gor for.

Initially, MDLP is sold in
40ml bottle, then after few
months, the 75ml is made available
in market. I wish I hadn't spent
on the 40ml, because I would go
for the 75ml for sure.

SolangeN

The drydown smells like rancid raspberries. Was surprised because there's no fruit listed in the notes.

cake n' cuddles

This is my favorite miss dior ever, I feel like the other miss dior's are princesses, but this here is the queen. The richest, deepest, and most decadent miss dior version I've ever smelt.
The brief flash of orange only last seconds till it gives way to the oily, thick roses, with a STRONG amber and patchouli base. I am not a vintage perfume colletor, but I have smelled a few vintages (obsession comes most to mind) and there are a few qualities that reminds me of a more vintage style perfume.
It lasts all day on me and it's very noticeable and striking, I get asked what I'm wearing a lot, not in the usual "gee, cake your gourmand smells good!" but like a curious almost neutral "what are you wearing?".
If you want something modern, a bit of a vintage vibe, rich, and THICK give it a try :D

xclairabellax

Exquisite....deep, rich and captivating.

I love Miss Dior EDP ( or Miss Dior Cherie 2011) and this brings a whole new, dimension to an already sensual and elegant scent.

I'm not a huge fan of patchouli, but this is so well blended it has changed my mind about it. The mandarin in the initial blast is so pure and juicy! The dry down is just intoxicating and remains with me ALL DAY.

It is worth remembering that a slight hand is needed here, don't be greedy with her, treat her with respect and she will work her magic for you ;-)

Fantastic quality and worth the money in my humble opinion <3

nikoleta1

I am wearing this today, reminds me Chanel style, powdery, cold, with a slight touch of sweetness/vanilla. Lasting and classy.
