Levant in French means the sunrise and at the same time the Levant, the mythical eastern part of the Mediterranean." - a note from the brand.

HEATHEN PERFUMES
When I close my eyes, I feel the warm rays of the Mediterranean sun caressing my skin. It is a holiday late afternoon, a cloudless sky and the whispering sea. I am sitting on the beach and sipping a cold sparkling lemonade, which combined with the pleasant breeze from the sea, brings me wonderful refreshment. I feel a great joy in my heart.
The beginning of Eau du Levant by Créateur mare (Geza Schoen) is loaded with sweet and salty citrus. The aroma of lemon comes to the forefront and is accompanied by juicy bergamot. This duet truly evokes the image of a sunny day and a sea breeze by the seaside.
Once the above notes settle on the skin, ambergris comes to the fore. Its subtle aroma beautifully complements the scent rathen than dominating it. It gives the scent a maritime depth that enhances the character of the blend and which lingers for the entire duration of the perfume.
The presence of osmanthus, rarely found in perfumes, gives the composition a characteristic green dryness. With time, the green elements of this note become stronger, and turn to more woody aspects of the multidimensional note that is osmanthus.
The aforementioned later stage of osmanthus was used to introduce the first woody aspects to the fragrance. This theme is continued in the middle part of Eau du Levant. The said woody aroma in the heart of the fragrance is reminiscent of moss- and algae-covered logs drifting somewhere on the high seas.
Eau du Levant also has an unobtrusive, natural aroma of sea grass and the aforementioned algae, an unusual blend of wet, green, citrusy freshness and sea salt that further adds to the pure maritime nature of Eau du Levant. This combination really is remarkable.
Later on, the scent takes on some extraordinary, undefined shade embraced with the addition of iris, which slightly warms up the composition and is reminiscent of the flora growing near the shore.
The whole blend is very energetic, vibrant, joyful and fresh, but at the same time elegant and austere as the sea itself.

A salty, warm but fresh, fizzy citrus, hot weather fragrance with a zilty-resinous base.
I think of a very warm day spent on the beach, a fresh shower in the late afternoon to have dinner with friends in the evening. All tanned up. I would wear this fragrance. Especially if it's still warm outside.
It reminds me of one of my very first fragrances in the late 90's: Aquafitness by Biotherm Homme. I haven't smelled it in a long time so I could be a little off, but it's the first thing that came to my mind.
Not very original, but very pleasant. Considering getting a full bottle, although I think €125 for 100ml is not good value for money. I'd spend €75 max.

From the man who gave us the quite extraordinary Ormonde Man, this looks very enticing indeed. Am going to have to hunt it down ...
PS Visually, it seems a little reminiscent of Terre d'Hermes - which is not a bad reference to make!
