It’s fun and inviting and last a long time. Every person that’s smelt me wearing it tells me I have amazing taste. Not unique or complicated but neither is love. Great to wear when you’re first dating someone but during the day. Impressionable. Doesn’t need to be layered with anything else. Is expensive but a necessity for a good perfume collection.

tamovicha

I only get straight up parsley :/

Tasherapd

I prefer the newer version. This one has a sickly sweet honey smelling note. I absolutely hate honey as a note and that’s what I get in this formulation. I also have a bottle of the newer version which I absolutely love and is my fave creed fragrance for women.

AveParfum

This perfume is VERY tangy. Enormous green apple note like in Be Delicious. I’ve been to Florence, and this does not remind me of it at all. It’s too intensely green and tart to evoke Tuscany. Makes me think of somewhere chilly that has lots of green grass. Iceland or Denmark? Not Tuscany or anything in Italy!

It’s a fresh and fruity green fragrance, best for hot weather. Terrible in winter, but cold air intensifies the sour quality, while hot weather tones it down.

There is an enormous, headache inducing synthetic note that makes this perfume very tenacious and makes it project like crazy. For what should be a gentle fragrance, it’s too intense.

The juice is CLEAR, not pink as pictured! It’s way overpriced and smells generic. Should be $75 max, certainly not hundreds!

Reminds me of a very tart version of Spring Flowers. Just as a reference, it’s more tart than Love in White, so if you find Love in White too sour, definitely don’t get this.

There is no resemblance at all to Light Blue. Far too sour and fruity to be related. Light Blue has a lovely cedar base (or at least it did before the terrible 2014 reformulations). They have a couple notes in common, but that doesn’t make them similar.

Please buy my bottle! It’s 99.9% full with box, and I don’t like it.

Zahraa555

Realistic fruit bowl of melon, apricots and plums on a summer day. that’s what my nose can detect. Fresh and high quality fruity perfume. Lasting power is weak on me.

Mjchaelj

Very pretty citrusy fruity hot weather fragrance. Well blended and high quality as you expect from creed. That being said, for $425 a bottle, I was expecting more. Not bad, just don’t think it is worth it unless you get it discounted.

This fragrance puts me in a carefree and playful mood. The fruity top notes, dominated by apple and lemon, remind me of happy summer days, while the woodiness of the cedar and sandalwood announce early fall days. The cedar note is exceptionally realistically done. Acqua Fiorentina easily lasts a whole day with a moderate sillage, so that I can enjoy regular wafts of the fragrance. The wafts I get remind me very much of a Garnier Fructis hairspray that I used in the early 2000s. At that time, my boyfriend loved the smell of my hair, so I guess that is a good sign…

AlexandraRoseD

Very well blended and long lasting (over 9 hours).

Very high quality, thus worths the price in comparison to the retail watered down alternatives. I'm not into sugar bombs nor into paying for EDPs and getting EDTs.

Esna

Smells like a lavish summer outdoor pool party with expensive colorful plastic floaters where snooty guests toast and “soak up each other's awesomeness” with top notch champagne and fruit. Nice, sparkling and cute bottle sticker.

chyan

I am not a big fan of Creed but this the first Creed that I have actively disliked. All other bottles are wearable, pleasant and well-blended, despite being unoriginal and extremely overpriced.

I don’t care much for D and G light blue either, but Light Blue smells so, so much better and has zero resemblance to this fragrance. There is maybe one note that smells the same but it’s not that obvious and light blue is more interesting.

To me this smells like cleaning products. There are just so many other better fragrances in the fresh category out there, and many are less than $100.

kperfume

On my skin this doesn't come fruity or overly citrusy. Instead it smells like those infused waters in the spas. This one is rose and cucumber infusion with a hint of lemon. Pleasant, maybe for a spa day, not intrusive and nothing special. Disappears quite fast too, but my skin tends to absorb smells quite fast.

marinejuana

this is the fragrance i keep coming back to every summer....i try many other scents, classics, moderns, niches, colognes, body mists; but every summer, something inside me calls this scent. i do not agree with the reviews comparing Fiorentina with DG Light Blue. The only similarity between them is both being summery thats all. Fiorentina has its own way of freshening and i find it unique as a fruity floral because it is so very natural. Wearing it feels like being in the ocean, on a cruise. it is the scent of freedom and natural luxury. i love it

Enrium

Acqua Fiorentina is less a floral-fruity than a fruity scent. It is made up of a lovely mix of fruity notes, like an olfactory fruit salad in the very best way. It is natural-smelling and good-quality, if expensive for a freshie. Despite the name and marketing, this does not bring to mind the Italian Renaissance at all in my opinion, but regardless, it would be a nice scent to wear on a Roman holiday.

AF opens with crisp apple, followed closely by a tart citrus accord. Radiantly fresh, it is juicy and realistic. After a little while, it becomes sweeter, with a juicy, slightly musky pear note emerging. It marries beautifully with the apple.

Plum keeps the sweetness going, complemented nicely by subtle yet jammy rose. Soft woody notes creep in as it dries down, and it becomes slightly musky as it fades. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

Light and natural-smelling, AF is a pleasant feminine summer freshie with some points of interest, if overpriced for what it is. Nicely-composed and good-quality, it is a pretty decent offering from a brand that is as inconsistent as it is expensive. 3/5.

elgrecca

Light and fresh but not worth the money. I have one for sale on Mercari, used just 2 sprays.

mad_mal

It's the sister/cousin of D&G Light Blue, Bond No. 90 Scent of Peace, and Etoile Fragonard. D&G Light blue is the sharpest of the four. This is softer and more refined, like Etoile. There's nothing special about it though. And in my experience, I get bored and easily get tired of the scent, so for me, it's not really worth the price.

atv315

Really lovely and fresh. I don’t love citrus scents and my nose doesn’t pick up a strong citrus note. For me the plum is prominent. This smells fruity and watery in a delicious way.

EmilyinJapan

To me, every single creed fragrances that I have smell like a cucumber. I have this, love in white, and spring flower. All of them does actually smell like a cucumber until the last note. I honestly dislike that cucumber-like note and thus dislike creed either. It’s somewhat spicy, synthetic and strangely green.

EDIT(12/7):
I tried this today, and felt this as classical fruity floral scent. This is clean and aquatic yet spicy. Whenever I use this, I feel like I’m eating a curry.

betsyglez8

Pear citrus rose ,
Yea kind of similar to light blue , but more roses and fresh acuatic notes .

Miss.Tara

This is so unique that it's a soft aquatic scent, yet it envelopes you in a cloud with 2 sprays. I'm going off of a decant and now I'm nervous to buy a full bottle based on some warnings of reformulations. But it's so good. It's Creed Spring Flower, but with rounded edges and more watery. I keep saying watery, I don't mean watered down. Just the opposite. And it lasts over night. I tried D&G Light Blue next to it, but the opening had zero resemblance to this except that it's in the "fresh" family of scents, and Light Blue seems 2D compared to this. Yes, this is an aquatic floral compared to Light Blue, but this isn't Light Blue plus some aquatic florals. I do hope to find something comparable but if I can't, this is absolutely worth buying a full bottle.

KBreckenridge

Are people still claiming this doesn't smell like Light Blue? Because it does! It's beautiful but it smells just like the original Light Blue.

luminaries

A pretty citrus and pear combination that reminds me of other popular fruity/floral perfumes like Be Delicious and Love Osmanthus, but it has more of a floral presence in the heart notes which elevates the smell a little. It does smell like high-end women's hair products, like one of the Oribe shampoos, but I like that fresh kind of smell and think that it translates really well in hot weather. It has a cedar dry down that reminds me of the way a lot of Atelier Cologne's dry down which helps with the longevity of this perfume and I can smell it on myself throughout the day. Overall, it's just a little too fruity for me personally, but I think it's a nice perfume.

cleo_wool

Reminds me of cut flowers. Lovely citrusy opening that smells like orange peel. Kept getting wafts while at supermarket, and it made me smile. Really lovely. Smells expensive and syrupy-fresh. My husband said that it smells like peaches.

theparfumfairy

Did Aqua Fiorentina get reformulated ? I smelled this fragrance in 2018 and it was glorious but the bottle I just received smells like cheap floral hairspray. This is headache inducing. This reminds me of those loud pear and honeysuckle Victoria Secret and Bath and Body Works fragrances from the late 90s and early 00s.

RuthBeton

This serves as a warning - this is not a blind buy fragrance. I love and own several Creed scents but this one is just awful on me. I had to wash it off. I gave it to my dear friend and it is lovely on her. The notes are familiar and ones I normally gravitate toward so I expected to like it. I can only suppose that perhaps it is the Virginia cedar - Creed includes it in many of its perfumes. Whatever it is, it must be tested first.

Cbenesko

Love the initial blast of citrus, but faded away quickly. Now it’s just ok. Not blind buy worthy. Better citrus fragrances out there.

PerfumeObsessive

Im not entirely sure what it was, but on paper this smelled amazing. However, on my skin it was a rancid nightmare. Ive tried three perfumes ( this, virgin island water, and spring flower ) and ALL OF THEM turned into this rancid oil like expired cream cosmetics which is SHOCKING! Because on the blotter / paper they all smelled incredible. I had not worn any perfume prior on the day. I keep thinking maybe its the soap i used in the shower shortly before ? But it isnt scented! I dont know. Quite shocked. Try it on your skin. No blind buys!

marinejuana

this is a "feel happy inside" kind of perfume... it covers you like a thin and bright cloud and you may live happily inside this cloud for hours. the price is really high, I was lucky enough to find an original bottle remaining 25 ml of perfume inside and bought it with a reasonable price. I get the great similarity to DG Light Blue but Acqua Fiorentina really leaves on the user a different effect, it has a different aura from Light Blue. Should it be blind bought, I don't know... I am happy with my purchase but if you plan to buy a full bottle, maybe it will be good to try first rather than making this big investment....

EDIT: September 2021 - I have been wearing Nuxe Parfum Prodigieux for a while but now I am back to Acqua Fiorentina. AF is like a veil that covers me and where I feel very comfortable inside... It not only relaxes me but also makes me feel very good and confident. The price of FB is very high so I will go on with decants for a while but maybe someday I can afford FB and use it properly

MrsMRe

Gorgeous floral and I'm not really a floral person! As many have mentioned, it doesn't have a slap-you-in-the-face uniqueness that one might be going for at this price, but it really is just a perfectly balanced fresh floral--not too sharp and not too sweet; fresh without being soapy--that reminds me of European flower market--not just the blooms, but the stems and leaves. If I had the budget to make this a regular fragrance, it would be the perfect jeans and a t-shirt scent.

UPDATE 2021: Fiorentina has moved to make way for my new local favourite: Myths Woman! This is still so gorgeous but I'll have to let you know...

Have you also tried 51 Essence by Roja Dove, Amouage's Myths Woman (my hyperreal green-floral fav!), Love Mimosa (most similar to Acqua Fiorentina), Venus and Cupid by DSH, or especially another favourite in magical meadowflower art: DSH's Divine Gardens?

[FEB. 2020]
See... I know I said, one time, that I got sick of "beautiful"/"elegant" florals-- but after three-hit sucker punches of all things beautiful to my nose I am once again asking for them. First with: MDCI Parfum's Un Coeur En Mai (lightly spicy bergamot hot spring meadow full of mimosa, wildflowers, and pollen so realistic it makes people pleasantly light-headed).
Second with: Ormonde Jayne's Prive (the smell of flower saps and grinded leaves collected under the bouquet wrap, which took 18 years to release).

Finally, I have found a beautiful art floral not baroque in depth and power, but rococo in pastel grace and velvet fluffiness. May I introduce you to Creed's Acqua Fiorentina!

But this is the catch: Fiorentina, unlike other dainty florals (let's say the works of Jean-Claude Ellena), is so focused in quality that it not only has the pretty-pretty organza-like transparent delicateness (of the florals of the Hermessence line) but it continues to GROW as a scent as the notes blow away in your skin, giving Creed's Fiorentina superb performance for its genre!

At first sniff, the smell of Creed's Fiorentina is a cute peach-rockmelon-violet-wildflower-like combination that gives off a character similar in softness and warmth to a mimosa flower or some fairy tale's pixie dust but after 3 hours, i tried it again-- it retains its fruitiness, but then i thought

"Okay this is kinda amazing" because the oil and journey of notes of this fragrance becomes (lightly) buttery, similar to the smell of oven-fresh madeleines (from a meter away), or when you put butter in a cafe hotcake (but light enough it's just right!) I can say this is from its particularly selected sandalwood accord, because depending on how its used (like Tom Ford's Santal Blush or Serge Luten's Jeux de Peau) it becomes either very smoky and dry, or very warm and buttery.

7.5 hours in, and that cute melon-pear smell is still there! A green rose gently blows in, turning this perfume from fruit-floral, to butter-floral, to fruity-green. It then fades into its last stage: a juicy fruit-not-sour bergamot at the 8.5th hour before flowing away completely into air, but by then having created some rococo-like meadow in one's mind which may inspire a thought to purchase this to bring the meadow back into reality and at home with you again.

[PART 2]
TO CLOSE: Despite being created in 2009, which explains the lack of professional reviews, I can safely say I'm happy to discover Acqua Fiorentina for myself and it has now become one of my Top 3 Pure Florals Of All Time (for 2021).

If MDCI's Un Coeur En Mai is the Hyperreal Spring green-floral that smells of hot sun-kissed meadowgrass, wildflower bouquets and petitgrain pollens, and Amouage's Beloved is the baroque flower church bouquet with resinous Tolu Balsam waxed roses, dried fruit spiced Ylang Ylangs, and animalic Civet-fur coated Violets,

Creed's Acqua Fiorentina is the Holy Grail dreamy butterfly-delicate Rococo pastel floral with its buttercreamy pillow soft melon, peach, violets and mimosa-orangeflowers. Combine this with Un Coeur En Mai and its Tchaikovsky's Waltz Of The Flowers for your nose!

FINAL NOTES:
The difference between this and Fleurissimo is that Fleurissimo is more powerhouse in sillage and green-rose-magnolia-gardenia like. Creed's Fiorentina is a cute peach-rockmelon-mimosa(esque)-butter smell. I used to think all perfumes should be strong and powerful = best, but no! I do like powerhouses, but there's a lot to find beautiful of olfactory art that is balanced and displays subtleties clearly and intentionally.

Also D&G's Light Blue does not compare in quality to this or I might also say "Issey Miyake's Pleats Please" but you would also know that D&G and Issey's perfumes are more colder and a bit tingly to the nose (in a way that makes you sneeze because of their alcohol). On top of that, Light Blue compared to Acqua Fiorentina is more lemon-citrusy. Fiorentina is not. It is fruit-watery, texturally smooth and pillow-soft, and becomes buttery.

If you can, Creed's Acqua Fiorentina, I totally recommend! I am buying, or have already owned one myself. High price tag but will save you from needless purchases of other designer florals that try to do what it does in representational beauty but cannot.

ALSO: If you like Cire Trudon, this fragrance is at the same quality level of its floral candles. Because after 4 years I found what I was looking for:

Creed's Acqua Fiorenta and Frapin's Laskarina combined smells like Cire Trudon's Trianon! Also check out Auphelie by Trianon which just released this year.

UPDATE SEPT. 2021: Fiorentina has moved to another more suited home with a couple ecstatic to have her under their wing, as I have taken in Amouage's Myths Woman as my new muse - slash - poster parfum instead <3

ingeneuxo

-This is literally D&G- L'imperatrice + Guerlain- Vetiver.
-Not worth the exorbitant price tag.
-Not fbw. (-)

bourcet

Oribe Cote D'Azur is a pretty identical match to this. And about $300 cheaper.

dreamvalley

This one is very trippy for me. Acqua Fiorentina is so 3D it's almost architectural.

First I get soapy feeling, like I'm entering into a laundry shop, or perhaps into a clean stairwell in a hospital. Wait, is there the lady from the 90's kindergarten somewhere?! The window is open and I can smell the construction work in the street outside; the dust, the wet mortal that finally blends smoothly into smoke. Something is burning further away.

Later in the evening, after re-applying Acqua Fiorentina, I somehow get the smell of greasy popcorns, and a fleamarket handbag with a ghost of a cigarette package inside of it.

It is so interesting I almost consider buying it.

GodKing

Just a really pleasant, uplifting, refreshing little scent that is perfect for the Summertime. Although a better fit for casual daytime wear, it works equally well for casual evening wear and doesn't feel out-of-place when dressed up. I find it extremely versatile from Spring through early-Fall.

I feel Creed Acqua Fiorentina to be a moderately sexy fragrance; it's attractive...semi-sweet...and playful, but its girl next door sexy and doesn't scream seduction and debauchery. As a testosterone-laden dude, to me this fragrance reminds me of that girl that next door. You know the type: attractive, friendly, big smile, good-heartred, and when you catch a glimpse of leg, an exposed shoulder, and inhale wiffs of her delicious hair and feremones ...well, it's just the sexiest thing a man can experience. Sometimes less is far more!

Performance is about average, but that's part of this fragrance's appeal. My only complaint with Acqua Fiorentina is that it that, yes, it does remind me of D&G Light Blue. However, I feel they different enough to warrant having both in the right woman's Summertime lineup, but it's a bit pricey so your mileage may vary.

cocofluff

I have a travel spray of the perfumed oil. Acqua Fiorentina smells crisp, fruity (apple, pear, grapefruit) and buttery. I can't imagine the buttery smell comes from the notes, so it must be the oil base, probably. That said, the fragrance is soft, light, and refreshing. The oil is moisturising and melts into the skin giving it a lovely silky smooth feel. -

jaa456

How have I missed this? Thank you to the staff at Lucky Scents who sent me a sample with my purchase of BR540, A la Rose and Mancera Roses Vanilla. Whoever packed my purchase sent me a bunch of samples. All of them spot on. Especially, Acqua Fiorentina. Mind you I have received samples of this before. I even have a deluxe sample from a discovery kit. But something about testing the right sample at the right time.

So, I’m home dreaming of living a life without quarantine, planning my seasonal fragrance wardrobe and came across this sample and had to go for a full size bottle. It is in the same spirit as D&G Light Blue but is luxurious and long lasting. It’s refreshing and fun with out being childish. I can’t wait to where this out and about in the heat. How now it will have to be in the house.

style1015

A refreshing, summery, citrus/floral summer fragrance. It's very lime forward on the initial spray. I know it's compared often to Light Blue, and I see that as upon initial application LB is also very lime-y to me. However AF has much more of a floral base that comes through while LB has a more bamboo vibe. They are of the same family, but certainly not dupes. Anyway, I love Light Blue and I also love Acqua Fiorentina, and if you're into these types of scents, I can see having a space for both of them in your collection.

In general, I think this is also a crowd-pleaser and a safer blind buy, especially if you love light, citrus/floral scents.

The performance however is not too great, which on one hand is to be expected from light, citrus fragrances, but also still a bit disappointing given the price point. This lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin and it turns into a skin scent quite quickly.

Overall I really love the scent- I suppose it's not the most unique thing out there but it smells sublime and there is a reason that this sort of DNA is so popular. I wouldn't purchase a bottle though due to the longevity/performance.

SebaM83

I've been wearing a large decant a friend sent me a while ago and this is quite good. Acqua Fiorentina is refreshing, delicate and beautiful, but honestly not worth the price tag. It's too close to Light Blue to throw hundreds of dollars on it. Creed has many other fragrances that could be worth your money, but not this one.
Don't get me wrong, I love Acqua Fiorentina, is absolutely lovely and very summery, but not as impressive as any other designer fruity fresh summer scent.

danielemcastro

This reminds me of Light Blue D&G but greener and sharper, almost like a very strong tea scent on my skin. Longevity is amazing on clothes. Better in warm days. Not very feminine in my opinion.

sukisiamese

I went back and looked at this bottle and noticed it has the stickers. It’s very easy to get them confused. The name is the same but the fragrance is different.

sukisiamese

My fiancé bought this one for me a few years ago. I was sadly disappointed. No one in our home liked this fragrance. We finally figured out why and the reason is because this particular fragrance did not have the Apple I believe as the bottle that I tried had the bright pink and silver sticker running on both sides of the bottle.

mutintabailey

I got a tester of this today, and I can say I was surprised at the smell, perfectly blended and unique
The Ceder wood makes it have that unique kick and makes it unique.
It's definitely strong and it has a nice summer even can be worn in the fall.
It smells beautiful on my cardigan.

Seanboro22

I love this on my wife. Best women’s creed out there imo

savitanaraine

Is it me or does anyone else get a smoky salty vibe at the beginning?
And if so... What could be giving it that scent??

thief of hearts

I gifted this to my mom in the soap form. To me it’s citrusy, beachy and will be perfect for her when it gets warmer out.

Parisian Midnight

This is my signature scent - The "encore" version released in 2012 I believe. The bottle has colorful roses running down the side. Why don't they add the encore version as well as the original, These are actually 2 different perfumes.
This is the fragrance I will wear forever, nothing feels as right and it makes me feel like myself.
When I see Ralph & Russo dresses this fragrance comes to mind. Pure Magic.

luxe_aura

I just knew this would become my signature scent, but sadly I was wrong. Though beautiful, it dissipates so quickly for the cost. If this were cheaper, sure I would bathe myself in it but sadly- I can’t afford that lifestyle change lol... This was my first venture into Creed and I must say it has made me hesitant to go deeper. I wear this mostly when I am immediately out the door to something important and KNOW my scent will make it through that first impression stage.

mongut

I went thru multiple bottles of AF, as well as the original and reformulation (called "The Encore", though few know this fact). Like the previous reviewer, this didn't make it to my signature scent, though I thought it might be for some time. It's fresh and light and starts with a sharp citrus top note. A little too sharp and obvious, but it is so well fused with the floral that I bore through the lemon to inhale the cornucopia of florals. Another issue I had was longevity. After a while I would spray large amounts and still not smell it at the end of the day.

I finally figured out what I would change. I would reduce the citrus and add fresh, dewy rose. Unfortunately, I have no clout in the House of Creed so I gave up on this fragrance.

I'd say it's best for young ladies, for summer and daytime wear.

Lilmary310

Though this didn't make it as my "signature " fragrance, I can see how it easily can become ones signature fragrance. It's a fruity floral (both of which are easily distinguishable). Two words to describe it are "pretty" and "romantic." Men like smelling it on women. And as another reviewer said, it's a great wedding day fragrance. I couldn't agree more.

rnejad

Smells like a lavish concoction of fruit punch

anapardo81

I really like this. It's not as sharp as other fragrances similar to it. I ordered a sample but I am not sure if I want my own bottle. Lasting power is pretty good on my skin which is the only reason I might eventually get a bottle but the price tag is a bit steep for a scent that smells quite familiar to other perfumes. Still, this is it's own unique blend. Someone compared it to the scent of peace by Bond 9 and I agree. This is less sharp.
I just bought it. Looking forward to receiving it.

pt333

Major shopping spree...Bought this and two Bond No 9 fragrances seeking the perfect "fresh" scent. This fragrance is special more for how it makes you feel...."pretty". You feel special wearing this. The plum and apples provide a sweetness to otherwise "airy" components. This is a special fragrance, for special occasions. Would be a perfect wedding day fragrance.

corvin

I bought it to my GF. And it is so nice on her. It is classy, as all creeds.

Scent: 8/10
Performace: 6/10
Versatility: 7/10

Monikakaka

my most favourite fragrance

top notes: plum, greengage, apple
heart: rose, white carnation, bergamot, lemon
base: grapefruit, virginia cedar, sandalwood

mister_chaz

I owned this couple years ago, but swapped away because I wasn't wearing this often enough. Then later, I was a given a sample while shopping at Holts and after putting this on, I realized how much I missed this scent. It's woody floral fruity, with citrus notes, fresh, but long lasting. If you are looking for something feminine and elegant - go no further.

polly golightly

julieekerr

i am not someone who likes a citrus frag however i found this very likable. Sampled it in the summer and it was very fresh and light. Mostly citrus but not sour had sufficient sweetness to balance it. Only go the wood notes during the dry down. not great silage but reasonable longevity however i think the price tag is laughable.

Gigi The Fashionista

Fragrance Review For Fiorentina By Creed

Top Notes Plum Apple

Middle Notes Bergamot Lemon Pear Rose

Base Notes Sandalwood Cedar Wood Grapefruit

This is the fruitiest and simplest easiest to wear fragrances by Creed. What most people seem to have a problem with is the citrus. It's not as floral as other Creed fragrances and really does smell like it was cheaply put together. It smells like the fruit shampoo you can get for 99 cents at the 99 cents store! What is going on here? I thought it would at least smell of rose with fruit but with bigger sandalwood. The base notes are not strong and that's the biggest mistake you can do when creating a fragrance. The base notes need to be very strong. Here the woods are faint and in the far background. The fruits are heavy like fruit scented air freshner. The grapefruit and lemon are very sharp and I could detect that from the moment I first put my nose to the nozzle of the spray. As the fragrance begins to wear on your skin it turns into a plum and rose accord but the rose is very soft and it matches with the green apple as apples and roses are in the same family. The scent then turns into a pear and the ever present bergamot and citrus notes keep the whole thing fruity delicious but cheap. It's not that bad but it is very surprising that Creed would have even made this. Nothing special about it. They should have added more floral notes and more woodsy notes. This is appropriate for spring and summer as it does evoke the spring but there are better fruity florals and Creed fragrances.

KDW17

I bought a 2.5ml sample for a very reasonable price, eager to find out what makes a perfume worth such a big price tag. I agree with many other reviewers that there is a remembrance of D&G Light Blue here, though I think the Creed does probably last longer. I do not find this too strong for women; or appropriate for men (far too feminine).

On me the overwhelming impression I get is of an orange scent, slightly buttery (perhaps that's my brain's interpretation of the lemon and carnation?) - very very pleasant but with no real indication of the numerous scent notes listed in the composition. It doesn't really seem particularly floral. Even if my nose is poorly trained / developed, this means that it's not the perfume for me.

However it does last longer than many others - at least 4 hours by which time its sandalwood base is in evidence; and I can certainly smell it every time I turn my head. I may well buy another sample size, but paying full price won't happen.

Marie_Anne

Sadly this is a complete waste of money on me. I loved the description and ordered a sample on Les Senteurs. I have now tried it several times and the result is the same way unsatisfactory. I cannot smell any floral, it is very citrusy on me with slight hint of apple, no plum at all and no woody notes either. And also it stays very close to the skin, I can only smell it is I actually sniff my wrist! Very generic lemony smell.

bugsyiii

This should have been called Jardin d’Amalfi Intense; AF is the older sister of the younger brother Jardin d’Amalfi. Guys may like the aforementioned because it is not as potent as AF.

Review: D&G light blue flavor.....VERY syrupy and feminine. Bought this for my wife and she loved it, however couldn't stand it. She said, "its too much, too heavy, no matter where I spray it, the sillage is outstanding yet, it is so intense that my nose can't handle it." AF is sweet and fruity. There's plums and roses, yet a little cedar with citrus. A very pleasant scent for a woman; not sure if, in my opinion, a fragrance that smells this syrupy sweet would work for a man! A great fragrance overall, you don't need much if this!

elaM

Fruits mixed with citruses don't do to well on my skin. They smell sour.
This perfume smells very generic. I have tried loving it for 3 years now but I finally decided I can not give in. I love Creed and wear it a lot but not this one, can't even like this one. I'm sorry!

ScarlettX

I don't smell too much plum or apple in this one. I can sense citrus notes and light pear note, also something woody.
It makes me think of Italy somehow. I have never been to Italy, but it reminds me of movie scenes taken in Italy in summer. Under the Tuscan sun is one good example.
For me it's "summer in southern Europe" kind of scent.

LanaT

Nothing like D&G Light Blue. Smells like Oribe Hair Products.

euphorie

Acqua Fiorentina is a beautiful scent if you love fruity florals. I'm not sure if I can justify the Creed price for a composition like this. It is similar to D&G's Light Blue in that it carries itself the same way but neither are very much alike. My initial reaction was that this was quite pleasant but once it sinks in, it knew no subtlety. It's definitely a powerhouse -- so feminine that I suffocate in its cloud of rose and plum. The plum ripens and turns pungent (at least on me). A bit like if you leave fresh fruit out on a hot summer's day. It eventually calms down to its sandalwood base, which by then, I'm thankful for.

Fiorentina's a beast with sillage and longevity -- she can be very feisty too and I think a lot of women out there will find that it's hard to tame her and actually wear this scent well. It's a tad too harsh for it to work harmoniously with my chemistry. Nevertheless, I can still appreciate it's beauty and for the right woman, this will only accentuate your femininity.

racb

Perfectly pleasant, light, floral, fruity.

Just a little too "meh" for the money, although lovely.

I'm very conflicted about this scent. I want to love it, but just can't pinpoint it well enough.

maxi___213

I want this so bad!!! It smells delicious. Found it on overstock for $150

lfarinas

Its nice, a bit too fruity for my taste, I smell the apple above all, feels like a body spray. I'll wear it a few more times to be fair but so far i'm disapointed, was expecting something more complex, considering its a Creed.

Lana148

So, Light Blue it is.

But before you get there, you'll have to be wrapped up in a fog of bitter milk and plums, for a good while.

Only then you'll get to a very organic and natural smelling Light Blue part, which I have to admit is much nicer then the original LB.

s.pa_pandora

This one is pretty nice scent with sweet floral fruity. Rose and plum are very prominent on my skin and some citrus are subtle also. Its longevity is good around 6-7 hours but the sillage quite disappoints me because many of my friends could not smell the scent when they were nearby me.

Hybrid vigor
In any hybrid you're looking for the best of both worlds. I have a labradoodle, a dod bred for service. The goal of the breeding is to combine the intelligence and trainability of the poodle with the human affiliation and low-key temperament of the labradors retriever. The risk of the mix is getting the reverse and having a high-strung, stupid dog.
The eponymous perfume hybrids shout their goal to the heavens: Fruity floral. Rose chypre. Floral leather. Aromatic fougère. Floriental. Acqua Fiorentina makes me wonder if there is an antonym to synergy. Is there a word for the whole being less than the sum of the parts?

Tools for self-destruction
The disparity between the reality of the worse Creed perfumes and the particularly vapid style of their marketing hyperbole is a sort of performance piece. The inequality is charged enough that as in a fairy tale, it simply comes to life.

From the Creed Aqua Fiorentina webpage (version, The Encore 2012):

Description - Sixth-generation master perfumer Olivier Creed re-introduces a fresh new blend of the beloved fragrance. He adds a lively touch of Diamond Jubilee Apple to mark sixty years of Queen Elizabeth's reign, along with beautiful Renaissance rose, Calabrian lemon, plum and white carnation. This encore offers a fresh harmonious scent that will delight her for any occasion.

Classification - Fruitful / Fresh

Characteristics - A long-awaited scent richly deserved by Creed’s loyal clientele who lavished praise on the original blend.

Notes:
Top note: Lightly sweet greengage plum, often used in cuisine as a dessert plum, Diamond Jubilee Apples and pruneau are the opening notes.
Middle note: Renaissance roses, white carnations, Florentine pear, Sicilian bergamot and Calabrian lemons are a fine serenade of fruits and blooms.
Base note: Virginia cedar and Indian sandalwood are a heart-charming close, with a lively hint of white grapefruit.

Epilogue:
Creed's own excessive protestations tell you more about the nightmare of Acqua Fiorentina than I could ever hope to.

I used to think the greatest job in the world would be to be a voice actor for the Simpsons. 20+ years of Hollywood pay coupled with anonymity. What could be better? Now I think sitting around with friends, smoking piles of weed, writing Creed press and pissing yourself laughing would be the greatest job in the world. (I assume that that's how the job must be done.)

I leave you to the serenade of fruits and blooms. Buon appetito.

Elite Gentleman

This is truly a heavenly and sophisticated scent. One of my favorite perfumes on a lady.

penguin1010

This one is delightful...like sitting in an orchard in the springtime. Fruit is by far the dominant theme, and on me it just goes from fruit to fruit--I don't get any "woodiness." It lasts a long time...over 8 hours on me today! It layers well with florals and sweet scents as well. I've tried it with Prada Candy and V&R Bonbon and both smelled lovely with Acqua Fiorentina. It doesn't wear "heavy" on me at all....it's light and beautiful. For the record, I tried this when it first came out, and it did not appeal to me when I sniffed the bottle or smelled it on paper. I actually didn't even like it that much when I wore my sample. But recently I tried it again and have really been enjoying it....guess that goes to show what a difference 5 years can make!

wind83

Well i wear this perfume at night, and its too heavy, plum and the woody not match/ blend in my skin.
even my son got me oh mom i dont like the smell.
its not like Light and Blue, its like more unisex or for man perfume.

a little dissapoint with me to buy this.

Metiche

People, I believe that this fragrance is really close to Blue Light D&G, so, if you are thinking the same why you didn't insert that information on the "This perfume reminds me of" area? - Saying the true, i think this perfume smells very close to that one but, Creed is Creed, still the best :) I will buy this perfume in order to have it in my personal collection :)

Bihter

I hate to say that about a Creed perfume but some of you were right, because this one is very similar to D&G Light Blue.

Germany

This is a nicely done ceadery plumy woody creed. Perfect for women any age. Indeed this is a more refind version of DG light blue. Much more refind and better dry down in my opinion but yes very similar and if this is too expensive then DG will do just fine.
Starts of with citrusy plummy accords , on the sweet side , morphes into pear and flowers, still on fruity citrus side and ends up heavenly sandalwood ceader note. I am thinking of buying this one. I can't decide between Virgin island water and Acqua Fiorentina . I might end up with both but I think this I prefer for now. Then there is also Fleur de Bulgary. All three are so very good!

dorothea333

To me it is sweet and even a little heavy. Mostly prunes and freshly chopped wood with a hint of citrus. Not an unpleasant scent, but not that wonderful either.
It could be used as a unisex fragrance.(Probably because of the intensive wood notes).
The bottle express something very light, beautiful and feminine(even girly), but because of the unisex touch, I think that the bottle and the fragrance doesn't really fit each other.

Jewey1820

I wanted to try this for ages. In the bottle this smells very light and citrus. Once on this turns into a deep plum with a hint of pear. Definately no traces of light blue, far richer and warm. I can imagine if worn too heavily this could become too sickly but a light dab creates a warm smell which you catch every now and then. Would I pay full price (purchased a sample)? Not sure, I don't dislike it just not sure it's worth the full RRP. I would recommend its worth a try though.

missk

Unfortunately this is my least favourite Creed scent. It's of no fault of its own, I'm just not a fruity floral fan.

Every time I approach the Creed counter in my local department store a sales assistant will try and push this scent on me. Perhaps it's my youth that makes me look like an Acqua Fiorentina type, the kind of girl that enjoys crisp and clean fruity scents.

Something that is impressive however about Acqua Fiorentina is its crispness. This fragrance is not sweet at all, in fact it can smell rather tart and juicy at times, especially in regards to the sour green apple and grapefruit accords.

For such a fresh scent I'm surprised by its strength. There's no doubt that you're paying for quality ingredients when it comes to Creed. Apparently Acqua Fiorentina was originally discontinued, however it has now been re-released as an 'Encore' special edition. I'm no Creed expert, but I'm assuming that the formulation hasn't been altered in any way.

I must say I'm pleased to see Creed becoming more widely available in Australia in recent months. It's about time. If anything Acqua Fiorentina is best suited to the warmer weather and seeing that Summer is just kicking into gear over here in Australia, I may be kind and give this fragrance another chance to woo me.

molson316

I had never even heard of this frag until a couple if weeks ago...

A woman passed by me in a store and it wasn't until I was 5 ft past her that I hit a wave of fresh air. I realized it had to be her perfume so, being driven by my olfactory senses, I turned back around to find out. I stayed a good 5' away from her trying to determine exactly what some of the notes were that kept softly floating around. All I kept thinking was that it just smelled like fresh air! Brisk but not harsh. Clean without being medicinal. Floral without being flowery. Slightly sweet but not cloying. Not one note seemed to dominate but there was a soft ozonic quality to it and whatever it was I had to know!

When I finally got around to asking her & she told me it was Acqua Fiorentina she said she was surprised I could detect it because she had spritzed it over 5 hrs ago. Sooo, great longevity & sillage.

I was surprised when I checked on Fragrantica, and saw it compared to Lt Blue. I've worn Light Blue for years and this is no Light Blue as other reviewers have stated. The notes in Acqua Fiorentina seem more abstract, complex and perfectly balanced. I was also surprised and disappointed when I saw the price. When Nordstroms opens here I will be sampling this and if my impressions are confirmed I will absolutely have to get it regardless of the cost!

No substitutions for this one I'm thinking!!
Willing to swap my Coco Mademoiselle Parfum for this! If interested please PM me?

dmarcus1260

I admire people that have an acute sense of smell, especially being able to tell the difference between Light Blue and Acqua Florentina. Yesterday when I wore Acqua Florentina for the first time, I thought the seller duped me by giving me a decant of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. About three hours into the dry down it became apparent I was sold the real deal because Light Blue begins to fall apart on my skin, smelling kind of rusty. Acqua Florentina smelled very fresh throughout the duration of the dry down. Another give away was the longevity, Light Blue generally last for about five hours whereas Acqua Florentina was still detectable for nine hours.

Today I am wearing Acqua Florentina on the back of my left hand, Light Blue on my right. I applied both fragrances about an hour ago. If I smell Light Blue first I get the apple note with some lemon while Acqua Florentina smells more fruity which in turn gives Acqua Florentina more depth. If I smell Acqua Florentina first and then go directly to Light Blue, Light Blue smells slightly medicinal, probably because of the cedar note. I still like Light Blue although I prefer Acqua Florentina. Acqua Florentina seems to have more layers while Light Blue is kind of flat if that makes any sense.

Sunflower77

Acqua Fiorentina does not remind me of Light Blue. Its top notes include a very strong plum note, which at times can be overpowering and gives out a slightly bitter medicinal aroma. I noticed the fresh citrus note behind the plum note. This citrus note is the reason many compared Acqua Fiorentina with Light Blue. However, the darker plum note is missing in Light Blue, but is present in AF throughout, although it does become less noticeable in the dry down phase.

I guess this dark plum note is supposed to be in contrast with the fresh and bright citrus note and make AF more sophisticated. However, I would love this fragrance more if the plum note is removed. My husband said he also disliked the plum note.

kongtatsu

This perfume is really bad. It smells strange, remind me of the smell of medicine syrup. Maybe it suits for old lady, not the women in this millennium.

SCBohemian

Acqua Fiorentina is a light, lovely summer fragrance. I love the citrusy opening notes of sugared grapefruit. A half hour after it is applied, violet blossoms emerge, followed by candied almond. It is a terrific Creed perfume, but am disappointed with its longevity.

MademoiselleMaya

High quality, beautiful, light, cheerful and feminine fruity-floral fragrance. Perfect for summer because it's deliciously refreshing and airy. It was still around me after 7 hours of wear, so I have no complains about its longevity. Moreover, it clings to my clothes and I can smell a delicious plum & pear combination the next day (and I used a drop on my cleavage rather than my blouse). It opens with a fresh bergamot mixed with juicy plum & pear, fresh lemon, delicate rose & carnation It's well blended and very pleasant. Adorable scent.

canadianpetite

As soon as I wore it, I loved the trail it created as I moved my arm. Lovely fresh florals. Yes, lots of fresh florals dominated by the rose but accompanied by the carnations and tempered with pear. Beautiful floral perfume.

One dab on me
Sillage: 2 feet
Longevity: 2 hours
Rating: 3.5/5

NoFutureWithoutPerfume

This is gorgeous, simply to die for scent. BUT it does not last. It's such a tease perfume. It would be worth every penny & would be a great signature scent but after 2 hours -- it's gone. As if you never put perfume on at all! No dry down to it, not that it needs to change because it's fantastic from the start but it floats away. SO SO SO disappointing because it is a master piece.

Xanovia

I love the fragrance but I just wanted to point something out in relation to an earlier comment about 'fakes'... My wife owns this perfume... We purchased it back in 2009 (it's an 09 batch) @ full retail... When we originally purchased it there was a soft purple color to the juice... Obviously this was a natural color because as time has passed the juice is now basicly clear... (Only a slight pink hue remains...) The bottle has been stored with the cap always on at a constant 68F-70F for temprature and has NEVER been in direct sunlight and does not smell off or what have you... The juice smells exactly like it did the day we purchased it years ago but it is no longer a purple-ish color... I am just trying to point out that if you have this juice and it is in the original packaging (Not the new 'Encore' with the purple flowers) and your juice is clear it does NOT mean your bottle is a fake unlike what an earlier post says... It just means your juice (like ours) is no longer purple... ^_^

In addition... People this does NOT smell like Light Blue... My wife has both fragrances and I put them on my arms just to compare them... Yeah... Anyone that feels this smells like Light Blue must also think crack smells like Light Blue because you must be smoking it... ^_^ Sorry... Just my opinion of course but seriously... Put them side by side and say they smell the same so I can see you do it and then I'll call you a crack head... ^_~)

Mia D.

tried today,in love with it! <3

lini

smells exactly like D&G light blue

butterbean

LOVE. One of my fav's. It is clean, fresh, watery, fruity and slightly cedar. It reminds me of some of the notes in Spring Flowers but no sharp melon. This is much nicer.

mmm. It smells wonderful. It is balanced very nice. It lasts quite a long time on me, and the sillage is just right.

Acqua Fiorentina -- first spray blast of citrusy tart green apple that quickly fades to delicious plum rose and well balanced cedar. The cedar is balanced with sandalwood and its very nice. Plum lasts through the whole dry down giving it a delicious sweetness.

It's very feminine. The Plum really makes this fragrance juicy yet floral and I love what it adds to it. Its really pretty.

Yes it is similar to D&G Light Blue, Eclat D'Arpege and Bond No 9 Scent of Peace -- but they are different. I think it depends on your nose. Some differences are subtle.

Light Blue -- much more lemon citrus and cedar...and I mean a lot more! sharper, and the cedar tends to really come out strongly lasting quite a long time. On me - Light Blue goes extra cedary and everything else is gone.

Eclat D'Argpege -- very similar but this is more floral. Think Lilac and Wisteria - because that is what you smell. The cedar note in this very very light and fade. The sweet and warm amber comes out in the dry down with a lovely wisteria.

Bond No 9 Scent of Peace. -- most similar to Acqua Fiorentina. I do love this one too! I love the black current in this.

FYI as of 2010 Creed Acqua Fiorentina is no longer a light purple color and they changed the bottle. After the earthquake in Haiti, one of the floral notes they can no longer get. The color of the juice has changed due to that. They changed the bottle and painted the embossed flowers on the metallic chrome like strip on the sides of the bottle. The Fleur de Lys crest on the top of the cap is now purple. If you have clear juice, your bottle should have the painted pink flowers with green leaves running the sides of the bottle and purple crest on the cap. If you have no painting on the sides, and no purple cap and your juice is clear -- you have a fake.

lupereira

The openning is woody, something male. But after few minutes it cames fruity, acquatic, a little floral. It is very femnine, but not cute. It is strong and has personality. It remids me Light Blue DG, but with more, more personality.

trueblue19

I was very disappointed when I tried this fragrance. I expected much better composed work from a house like Creed. There is nothing interesting or exciting about it. My favourite Creed scent is Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie (a voluptuous empress), comparing to which this young frag smells like a common merchant's 16yo daughter. It's not a bad perfume at all but who would invest £££ on it when you can buy Eclat d'Arpege and Light Blue (both share similarity with this perfume but Light Blue is even better) at a way more affordable price??? Plus nor the longevity or sillage is impressive. Shame shame.

mippymuppett

I tested this today and was totally shocked!!! This really is just beautiful. It opens with beautiful sweetness from the plum and apple and has a tartness from the bergamot. There is an immediate ozonic watery quality to this that is just lovely!! The rose and carnation are like no other rose scent I have smelled before. They are there but so unique. It's not like dipping your face into a bouquet of roses. I imagine sitting outside at a long picnic table covered in white linens in the heart of Firenze on a beautiful summer afternoon under the shade of tall heavenly trees amongst a table of friends. It's like this beautiful fruit salad that has been laced together with the most gorgeous and fragrant rose and carnation petals. I imagine eating this delectable salad wearing a gorgeous white linen dress and the most beautiful sandals and an amazing straw hat. Vino? Yes please!!

At first I sprayed this on a card and thought to myself "What is that"? Scent of Peace, Eclat D' Arpege, Light Blue...? I couldn't place it and now I have figured it out. This reminds me of all three. I got home and sprayed them and yes they are totally different!! NO they are not the same but share citrus, ozonic, aquatic similarities. Acqua Fiorentina is beautifully done. No ugly synthetic notes to contend with. Is this a masterpiece? I think not but it is a beautifully done fruity floral for those of us who enjoy wearing these types of scents.

I know a lot of people have been disappointed by this scent but I am definitely NOT one of them. I think this scent is purely divine and am buying a full bottle after I write this review. I have Eclat D' Arpege & Scent of Peace and will be adding this lovely to my collection as well. To all you ladies who love a well done fruity floral, this beauty deserves a sniff!!! Oh, longevity and silage...Outstanding!!!

musicaficta

I, too, have wondered what the connection was of this fragrance to Florence. Is it the scent of the Arno River that wafts up to the merchants on the Ponte Vecchio?
Perhaps it is the scent of the holy water in the Duomo? I guess, as Soft Cells has pointed out, it is all about the fruit. Since I'm not 100% familiar with the fruit grown in Tuscany, I can only imagine that there are plentiful amounts of citrus and plums in the surrounding countryside.

Although I had high hopes for this fragrance, I can't get beyond a weird salty celery note that clobbers the opening. The celery is somewhat tamed as time moves on, but it remains persistently and pervasively present through the curtain call. Is this the note that Soft Cells had difficulty with?

Perhaps my "smeller" is off. After all, I'm one of the few people who smell mixed nuts in Mitsouko, so maybe some circuits are overloaded in the olfactory sense. Until, I have a definitive answer, I will persist with this one, and hope that time will reinterpret the celery note.

Soft Cells

Although I am Italian, and often going to Florence, I confess that the name leaves me rather perplexed (which would link the scent and the Tuscan city?). The answer i've given to myself is that's a name which is quite smart and attractive. Apart from that the fragrance is reminiscent of a bag of fruit in a forgotten corner of midsummer days, almost perfect in its roundness, striking a note that I do not understand - something spicy and bitter? Perhaps rightly so, the sweetness is subdued - very intense but very original. Do not pass unnoticed , to be dosed carefully

TvojaPsihFantasija

It is just perfect! Nothing more to add! Fresh, juicy, citrus - just magnificent! And absolutely unique! My Creeds' favourite!

mister_chaz

ok, I have a confession to make: first time I smelled Acqua Fiorentina, I thought it smelled like bug spray - pungent, sweet-n-sour artificial smell. I tested it again one year later and I guess something has changed in my mind, because now I find this scent very attractive. I can really smell plum in the composition (juicy sour plum, that is still a bit green) and cedar. Acqua Fiorentina has something in common with Bond 9 Scent of Peace and Light Blue, but still different. Surprisingly, it has great projection and longevity, ans the bottle is gorgeous.

artsyrn

I get an ozonic,strong-sweet, peachy impression. A little bit does go a long, long way! This both projects and lasts for miles. There is a familiar fruity shampoo scent that is not indulgent but clean, fresh, simple and youthful.

LuluCoconut

A fragrance that divides me because I like it, but do I like it enough for this price tag?
It is really likable, fresh, tangy and extremely natural citrus presented at its best. Herbal undertones leave a dewy green impression. Later on it really becomes fruity, and it smells like frozen peach and crushed mint leaves, flower petals here and there give out some sweetness and warmth. The sillage and longevity are impressive for such a tangy fragrance and you can tell that its made with quality ingredients and precision because it develops nicely and smells strikingly natural. I'd say it falls somewhere between a cologne and EDT.
I'm unsure if I'd spend on any of the Creed line, let alone this delicate creation, but I enjoyed testing it a lot. It put the last touch to my pseudo-dandy outfit today - tweed, breeches, pastel tones and all.

aqua76239

I’m starting to think that my tastes are rather “plebian” because my favorite fragrances always turn out to be rather mainstream. I still yet have to find a favorite among very expensive exclusive fragrances and Acqua Florentina is no exception. I was in Neiman Marcus and told the SA that I was looking for something fruity and fresh with superior lasting power. She did deliver because she sprayed this fragrance on my arm and it is fruity, fresh and lasted at least 6 hours on my skin. Whether I liked it ..ah, it’s a whole different story. From the beginning I thought Hmm, this is interesting, very unusual fragrance-on one hand I could smell fruit(I thought it was lychi, it was bergamot, oh well..), on the other, there was floral note(rose) and last, it was rather watery and almost aquatic? Hmm, hard to explain but the impression that I got is Acqua Florentina is almost like 3 different fragrances rolled into one, which haven’t been blended all that well. People at the mall probably thought I was crazy because I continued to smell my arm with I’m sure, a very puzzled look my face. You could almost see a question mark forming above my head-is it floral? Is it fruity? Is it aquatic? I give up.
I don’t normally ask my husband for advice but he volunteered an opinion that it smelled “weird” and what he meant was neither here, no there kind of fragrance. I give it thumbs up for superior lasting power but scent itself, no, not for me. It did make me interested enough to try other Creed fragrances so perhaps I may get lucky with another one.

PiggyB

Very aquatic and fruity fragrance of the theme “Firenze”.
One of beautiful creations from the house of Creed.

Firenze was a city or a right place to think over our future.
What are the things we want to reserve?
What is the minimum requirement? Do we need a big change?
How the world would be like in the future?

We are living in a modernized way and tend to forget such a circuit of ideas.
Acqua Fiorentina brings me back in such memory by its name.

I want to feel natural fruity aroma and search for the notes in it.
I sniff my arm repeatedly when I wear it on.
I feel something missing every time, still complicated.

HappyShopper123

A rather run-of-the-mill fragrance, which surprised me, given that it comes from the prestigious Creed house of perfumes. I liked the initial fruity notes but the dry down seemed to be dominated by the lemon. This was just too tangy for me.

karlovonamesti

While I agree that the packaging is lovely, Acqua Fiorentina disappoints me immensely. I figured from reading about it that this perfume was an impeccably rendered olfactory essay on greengage plum, steeped in an Italianate style of Mediterranean flowers and woods. It certainly is an exceptional (and fleeting) take on greengage, but aside from a momentary burst in the top notes, the plum does little to assert itself amidst the many calone-laden elements that surround it. In tiny doses, the plum dominates, but in anything more than a few drops, Acqua Fiorentina simply becomes a watery fruity-floral that lacks the individuality that is necessary to make paying for its quality worthwhile. Expect to smell lots of plummy and berried rose, awash in a sea of nondescript watery notes. Unless this kind of unremarkable pleasantness is your bag, skip Acqua Fiorentina and investigate other, more interesting Creeds.

melia

When I saw this in the shop, I was absolutely in love with the packaging... On pictures it doesn't look so stunning, but in real life it really is. To me it is the most georgeous design ever. So I really hoped for something good to come out of it... And I was disappointed. It was very fresh, -something everybody allready knows-, and the cedar-drydown really annoyed me. What a pity. On the other hand that meant I wouldn't have to spend a fortune on getting a bottle. But a while later I tried this sample that I had, and it seemed I got used to that superfreshness and that cedar didn't really appeal to me anymore. Now I have to say it is propably one of the highest quality citrusses I know. Not chemical at all (a la toilet refreshener), just very good citrus. You just have to take the time to really smell it. Still, I hoped for something with more flowers, more complex... All in all it's nice, but to me not price-worthy.

Edit: HA! I've found a cheaper smell-a-like! It's Dior Addict Shine: they have the same amalfi lemon-cedar combination in the drydown which makes them very similar. For some reason I still like Acqua Fiorentina more though, it's a bit more 'clear'. But Shine is a very good one if you're searching for an alternative.

Scents and Scentsibility

After I fell in love with Original Vetiver (on a guy, not on me), I went to Saks determined to find a Creed for myself - how difficult can it be?

Difficult.

The plum is strong on this one, and that's what I couldn't get over. It's not just a top note, either - it lingers (thanks, Millesime, you work, and you love me long time but I no want you). It burrows into the skin. I like that the bouquet is complex and layered. But that plum - it wasn't just plum, it was like umeboshi. Ugh.

The other Creed I was testing was the Spring Flower - flat and smack-your-nose flower bomb... like someone thrust a bouquet of flowers in front of your face. No thank you.

The search for the one continues :)

Mellyhelly

I had a chance to test and get a sample of Acqua Fiorentina in a beautiful perfume shop and I immediately felt conquered by it. This is a beautiful, happy, floral-fruity scent with a lovely aromatic drydown that lingers for hours. In the citrusy start I smell a beautiful ripe sweet prune, absolutely divine and no way near to all the fake fruits around in perfumes.
The heart of rose is very fragrant and again very natural stuff.
I'm usually not a fan of fruity-floral, but as summer comes toward me after a cold cold cold winter I feel a need for fresh, ripe fruit and flowers!
I spent 15 minutes in delight, then Acqua Fiorentina began to smell differently on my skin... always so nice and aromatic, but... wait a minute! I know this one! To my sad disappointment I smelt D&G Light Blue! Not a bad scent in itself but very abused and over-abused by everyone. Streets, offices, restaurants here smell of D&G Light Blue which actually smells slightly different on every chemistry. Either that or Hypnotique or Coco Mademoiselle. A nightmare.
I didn't know others think the same. Apaprently I'm not the only one who has this perception.
I'm not saying that Acqua Fiorentina is exactly the same as Light Blue! They are very similar like a shimmering aristocratic deluxe beautiful spring princess and her more modest and pop cousin.
AF is very expensive like all Creed. It's also quite long lasting. If I had a bottle of this I would spray it everyday in big pleasure. Unfortunately it's not time to spend money over perfumes for me and for that price I would rather not smelling like all women around and their sisters.

Creed ACQUA FIORENTINA opens with a burst of aromatic lemony freshness which led me to believe that this was either unisex or perhaps even a masculine frag. Shortly thereafter, the citrusy quality subsides, making way for a resinous floral-woody drydown which leans more toward the feminine side. I am finding this androgynous quality more often than not in my travels through CREED...

I, too, find a family resemblance between ACQUA FIORENTINA and D&G LIGHT BLUE, but the Creed composition has a great deal more depth, and significantly better staying power. I also love the moist greenness in ACQUA FIORENTINA, which seems similar to watercress or clover.

By chance I chose an unexpectably toasty (87F) day in Boston to test this fragrance, and I found that the resinous quality may make AF better suited to slightly cooler temperatures. Nonetheless, I very much like this fragrance, which is appealing particularly in the drydown, as the wood, the floral and the resin notes mingle together most harmoniously.

After the first spray I was 100% sure I will buy it. Might be expensive but I have just fallen in love with it.

However, it changes dramatically within minutes of applying. I sniffed my wrist and I just could not recognise the scent at all, it changed completely from one minute to another.

The beginning is very optimistic and cripsy, made me think of Italian holiday resort during summer season, vibrant and colorful, but later on Acqua Fiorentina develops somewhat smoky and cloudy. It becomes heavier, you can definitely smell the gorgeous plum note, wood and rose in the background.

The final phase is the best though, it settles down to sandalwood rose with a hint of citrus. If I ever stay in Italy during late autumn, I would love to wear this one sitting on a veranda watching a sunset, with a shawl around my arms.

I like this fresh plum-rose-sandalwood scent. Maybe not enough to buy a full bottle at 200$...
