Wood for Him by DSQUARED² is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for men. Wood for Him was launched in 2018. Top notes are Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian Lemon and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Violet Leaf, Ginger and Cardamom; base notes are White Woods, Vetiver and Ambroxan.

In September 2018, DSQUARED² launches two new fragrances Wood for Him and Wood for Her.

"Wood is a project designed around the characteristics of wood – strong and sturdy, with a complex structure that makes it unique and inimitable."

The fragrance pair is made for contemporary DSQUARED2 men and women, imagined as sensual and confident, who live on passions, good vibes and an impulse towards what’s new.

"A powerful, distinctive and masculine fragrance. Wood, the new men’s fragrance by Dsquared2, opens with the Mediterranean freshness of bergamot from Calabria, mandarin and lemon from Sicily and is enriched with elegant, sharp notes of ginger. Vibrant tones of violet leaf and cardamom contrast with the distinct sensuality of ambrox. A modern blend of white woods brings light to the deep, elegant character of vetiver."

The linear, clear glass bottles are topped with unique caps made of wood which are created piece by piece. The fragrances are available in Eau de Toilette concentration, with the accompanying line of body care products.

It is very rich and smooth , sharp, buzzy in the same time , I enjoy it a lot in the Swedish summers , remind me of Prada luna Rosa , a bit has a DNA of blue da Chanel, nice opening stay quiet good and fresh for a 3h+
I recommend it

mariomario

Simply good enough to write the review

dumitrucucu

this is what prada luna rossa (edt) would smell if it was really "for men" . In two words this smells like a dirtier version of luna rossa, but both go in the same direction of energizing soapy aromatic vibe.

Dondy

When i first got it it smelled oretty good but rn it smells like just alchohol with lemon cleaner especially in the opening. After drying it gets a bit better but its still not that great

fisken23

Sure it reminds me a bit of Prada Luna Rossa but it lacks the beautiful smell of lavender that’s in Prada.
Dsquared have some quality fragrances in their line up and this is one of them, with Original Wood as my top pick.

Andras91

boring, average scent, lemony powdery sweet cake scent with lots of wood, very long lasting

JusttheFactsMan

#593 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

This one is very heavy on the ambroxan, cardamom and the synthetic bergamot oil that always gives me a runny nose. At first it smells cheap. The opening is the sort of scent I'd expect in a middle schooler's collection that includes Adidas, Brut and English Leather. Almost nauseating for the first 30 minutes, But then it dries down to something like Swiss Arabian's Shaghaf Oud Abyad, and that's not terrible. If you just did a single spritz you could probably deal with it, but it really projects, so you'd want to be careful.

At $40 there are at least fifty Arab scents that are better, plus all of the fairly decent Bentley EDPs. So while it's not terrible once it's dried down, I doubt I'll put myself through that repellant opening again.

J2_Jizzy

great scent for almost any place doesnt last too long unfortunetly but i quite like to wear it if im going school

NL_Meduza

Great scent that can be worn everywhere. School, church hospital you name it. Last about 8h on me however the projection is close to the skin and you will need to spray every 3-4 hours.

Hempz

Strange one this. Opens with a lot of lemon and cardamom. Them it dries down as a white flower, lily of the valley scent with soapy notes. Kind of a laundry smell with little to no wood vibes.

Toby Alexandru

Let’s be honest. We bought this for the cap and atomizer. ;)

It’s pretty good, decent longevity, great sillage and clean woody smell.

But the cap man…

dabatch

1. powdery, 2. floral, 3. optimistic.
not much wood but nevermind.
perfectly unisex.
sillage is average, longevity is insane, on clothes eternal.
and who does not like a heavy magnetic cap?

Bright and citrus. Punchy on the nose, as to be expected from an EDT. Very forgettable and ordinary.

hverduyckt

Very happy to have it

Beautifull presentation and naturally fresh smelling for everyday use.

Excellent quality price ratio.

I am following Fragrantica for about 11 years straight now but never posted a comment nor made an account rather I always visited as a guest and I saw how 90% people are misleading and posting fake comments here, some how I feel many of them don’t even own anything just they like to troll here, this perfume is starting definite lemony creamy but not in a cheap way at all but a classic mild woody with touch of musk, yes it has similarities with Prada Luna Rossa but not a clone as Prada becomes a sweet mess in 40 minutes but nothing like that in this, it’s a very safe in offensive classic scent which will please every one around not being called a cheap smelling clone of what so ever.

joostjegabriels

i like it!

Fuju

They ruined a good thing by discontinuing Rocky Mountain Wood. This is fine, it's passable, but they've traded their unique hit with RMW for something completely forgettable. If you like Prada Luna Rossa then you'll like this, if you own PLR then it'd be redundant to own a bottle of this, it's that similar. When I smell this I smell Luna Rossa mixed with just a hint of one of the Chrome flankers or maybe Banana Republic's Pure White. That is to say that it smells cheaper than the Prada, not cheap, but definitely cheaper. Check it out if these types of scents are to your liking, it's likeable enough, but I'm thoroughly disappointed.

fraglawyer

Pleasant fresh frag. Worth a sample. Full bottle worthy if caught on a discount.

Metaleagle73

Smells to close to Prada Luna Rosa (edt).

Hails_Hail

All I smell is sandalwood. I get mostly a powdery baby powder type smell. Maybe I bought a bad one.

İlk kez bu markanın parfümünü aldım. Şişesi ağır kapak mıknatıslı güzel duruyor.Ama koku çok odunsu klasik ve kalıcılık çok iyi değil.

This is the first time I bought perfume from this brand. The bottle looks nice with a heavy cover magnet. But the smell is very woody classic and the permanence is not very good.

It is a fresh citrus woody fragrance. As it dries down, the violet leaf and vetiver become more prominent.
It smells similar to Luna Rossa Prada EDT. It is a pleasant scent as if you are in a luxurious hotel spa.
It has a high oil concentration. After application, there is a noticeable oily sheen. Although there is an Ambroxan base, the projection is moderate.

Droopy_draws

I love smelling this one off the atomizer .. I enjoy it on myself too but off the atomizer it's so nice . Nothing overly unique but.. I love the way it smells

Azure Eye

DSquared2 had an identity crisis, or marketing mismatch with Wood (for Him). You would think that a Canadian brand that so prominently features a maple leaf as their iconography would lean into a northern woods vibe like coniferous trees, or I don't know, a maple tree? The brown hues of the liquid in the bottle, combined with the black velvety box would be easy to interpret as hints of an earthy, perhaps darker scent inside. The presentation is a series of red herrings; this is a bright, fresh, fragrance that features mostly blossom scents (not earthy), and is not wood-focused at all. Rebranded as something alluding to sunshine, and using a warm colour palette like yellow, orange, or white would be more appropriate. This scent is clearly themed after the sky, breezes, and blossoms in the sun...not the conduits of nutrients, nor the supporting (wood) framework for said blossoms.

Misleading origins and branding aside, Wood is a pleasant and bright scent that is full of citrus and floral notes. It can sometimes come off as soapy, with a tiny bit of hardwood earthiness that fades in and out. It has above average performance as far as longevity, and projects roughly a meter off skin. Wood is inoffensive and versatile, yet I would not say it stands out among other fragrances doing the same themes. It is fresh and clean, without coming off as sterile, and I can see anyone pulling it off without effort.

I'm nuts about ginger, and cardamom, no excuses. I'll try anything, even masculine-leaning fragrances to get a fix.

In my church (this is delightful, and I realize people hate stories, but I can't help but share this) a secret someone has been trading out little samples with me in the ladies' bathroom! 🥰🤣 I have no idea who it is (but don't even want to, it's more fun), but I'll leave perfume samples in there occasionally, and occasionally something is waiting. It's immensely entertaining, and I hope it continues. So, this was there today! I was shocked - 'A men's fragrance?' - usually it's something light or girly (this is church afterall). I opened the little card, and was delighted to see that it had cardamom and ginger! I picked it up with a quickness.

It does open with a tart, sour bergamot, with a ginger that leans more piquant and realistic (sometimes ginger in female fragrances is a little more like sweet ginger ale), which is how I prefer it. The cardamom laces the entire experience with plushy sweetness!

The issue I have, I have with the "violet leaf" in Santal 33 - sadly, there's a pickle note in here (I recognize that this might just be a weird hiccup in the way I perceive stuff, you might be completely without that association). It's just slightly pickly and sour, but thankfully it doesn't dominate. Still, it renders this not a love, where maybe it would be without that.

It dries into a woody vetiver goodness, and it's at this point that it feels most masculine to my nose. Still, it's somewhat unisex. Something about it is almost beachy and salty though?

It's not born from a stroke of genius, and smells somewhat familiar, it's a decent citrus+spice+wood and I like it!

Oske

Bought this one a year ago, still use it. Nice combination of citrus freshness and wood, that's basically it. Doesn't last too long and it's not so strong, but it's perfect as an everyday fragrance when you take your kids to school, go shopping, take a walk with your friends etc. You will smell fresh and clean. I like it and will continue to use it every day.

RaheemB

I actually blind bought this fragrance. I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised; going off based the reviews I wasn't expecting much however it is quite a pleasant fragrance. Immediately, off the first spray, I got a similar vibe to Prada Luna Rosa, that initial scent remains throughout the life of the fragrance. Not ground breaking, however it is well blended and somewhat unique. I know I will get some good wearings and will be perfect for spring/summer.

dmw

Not woody, more aquatic. Smells like the duty free counter at the airport - you know, that generic scent that results from hundreds of commercial scents all together in one place. If you wanted a scent to represent the most boring male scent you could make, this would be it. I don't hate it, I just don't want to smell like this.

Dangler83

Not as woody as the name would suggest. Fresh, bright, citrus. Versatile, good performance.

GlassShark

I don’t know why they called it Wood. I barely smell any wood at all. It seems very feminine to me and quite flowery at that.

sameenuk

very surprisingly soapy scent when applied to my skin after a shower. I like the amber undertone combined with the wood. This is a nice alternative to armani code for me. It is a bit hit and miss, i didn't like it earlier in the year but in the winter, its a great scent.

bolancb

Such an underrated house is Dsquared why o why did you discontinue your fragrances :( anyways this is a fantastic gem if you have a nose you can't help but to love it ❤ I think it's good for any occasion any weather in winter just overspray that simple ✌❤

Ryanne4707

After reading reviews, I passed on this fragrance for a long time. A few weeks ago I found a gift set for $19 and it was a no brainer.
I was hoping for alot more out of this fragrance. Overall its not a bad scent, but nothing unique or mind blowing. Bordering on generic smelling. I dont really get the wood at all. To me its a simple citrus style fragrance. And the dry down is kind of a mess.
I did notice that dsqared and missoni parfum bottles where very similar in style, color and shape, along with both having magnetic caps that are interchangeable. So I looked at both stickers on the bottom and found that both are distributed by the same company. So hence the similarities. The scents even have some similarities. Alot of people compare missoni to bleu de chanel and I get that as well. Substitute the incense for lavender and you get missoni parfum.
I really like missoni so it really bumbed me out when dsqared2 wasnt on par with at least missoni. Awsome bottle and even better cap, but now I have a $19 liquid paper weight. Looks good on the shelf but not worth the price tag. I may wear it some in the summer when I'm at work, so I'm not wasting some of my better and more expensive fragrances, but I'm a construction worker, so that tells you how little I value this fragrance. When theres the likes of acqua di gio profondo, and versace eau freshe on the market, dsquared2 is an after afterthought! If you are looking for a great citrus scent that lasts go for profondo. If you want that woodiness along with that citrus, Versace has you covered. Literally!
There are 100s of fragrances, on levels miles above dsquared2 in the same price range, and lower. Save your money for something more worthy.

I'ma-Fraggot

Super underrated it’s a more designer version of Geurlain Vetiver… really good!!!!

Corspin

Pretty good scent overall. It's a nice natural and fresh smell. In contrast to other smells, the top notes last very long so the fresh citrus smell stays for a long time (I would say about 6 hours). The other smells stay even longer, I could still clearly smell the base notes even on the next day. This is definitely good quality.

I'm a bit less positive about the balance in the fragrance. The white wood smell in the drydown is very strong, that doesn't mean I dislike it because it fits the fragrance well but I would personally prefer a bit less of the white wood. I would be careful with how much of this to use for this reason.

smoothsubtlescents

I gave this away to my brother because I wasn't really reaching for it... but after he left a room the other day I got a nice whiff of the trail and honestly it was quite good. He doesn't usually wear cologne so smelling that was really an improvement. Much better than I remember it smelling on me. He said it was only one spray. I think it's probably best for the 18-24 age range. So yes, this solicited a compliment from the very person who gave it away . Lol!

Saltychipdust

I think this is a typical boring scent. This is good for kids and people just starting out. It’s fresh and the bottle looks decent on the shelf but it’s not something I ever looked forward to wearing.

J_TheWombKilla

James Ducat from The Vanishing wears this.

CommonScents

Really like this, got a tester and decided to buy a 100ml off the back of it. Reminds me of a little of Luna Rossa, Prada.

Turbo

This is a poor cologne imo. It has something forest like about it, in the spring i smell this a lot near water. Its that liquorice smell that overpowers the rest of it that makes it foul, wouldnt recomend

smoothsubtlescents

I keep changing my mind on this one, but wearing today on a 72 degree fall day, 5-6 sprays (more than usual) and its enjoyable. Gets my like. Nothing crazy special but its not bad either. Picking up a mint vibe today. Dry down is mildly sexy. Wouldn't surprise me if somebody loved this..not a fragrance enthusiast, but the average person certainly might. Got a 50ml full presentation for $21 so I'm satisfied, but Prada Luna Rossa achieves this vibe on a higher level of quality.

edit: I just stood up from writing this review and caught a vibrant, sparkling, lightly flowery and woody scent. It's different than other woods I've enjoyed. Whereas most others I would describe as deep wood, this is sharper. Going heavy on the sprayer has improved the overall experience of this fragrance. As it dries down further it gets better and better. Maybe I do love this? I keep coming back to improve my review as it dries down.

edit 2: 7 hours in and still smells good. ambroxan and musky wood. not bad stuff

kalilax

Nothing nice to say about this one; every penny spent on this is wasted!

milkbaby

The presentation is very nice with a wood and magnetic cap on top of a heavy bottle in a velvet-like box. But it's only woody in the way that Irish Spring soap is woody because that's exactly what this fragrance reminds me of.

I actually feel that at discounted prices (I got it for $29.99 at Burlington and recently saw it on clearance for $20 at TJ Maxx), this is a great deal on a pleasant fragrance that will make you smell clean and fresh like Irish Spring soap. But that's not my style at all, and I can count the number of times that I've worn this on the fingers of one hand. I'm pretty sure that a 97% full bottle of this will be available at my estate sale after my death. ⚰️🥀

nattonline

Love this. I don’t get much the top notes so nothing hits me like it’s another summer fresh fragrance but straight to the base. It gets very whisky-like woody musk on me. Something lightly peppery too. In some way, it does make me think of Dior Sauvage but less potent.

Denimtuxedo

Don't be fooled by the citrus, this is not a summer time fragrance. This is best for fall and winter. It is a Canadian company after all. This may be the best citrus winter sent that will cut through the coldest of climates. I see people are confused about this because of the name, so just replace woods with citrus ambroxan, and wear it the same time you would a woody sent in the winter. The citrus oils and ambroxan hit like a bomb for the first couple hours. Drys down to a strong citrus ambroxan musk the rest of the day. Something tells me this will become more popular once people figure out when to wear it, and want to smell different in the colder months.

Djchildress

I actually really enjoy this one. The citrus opening is actually quite natural smelling and very pronounced and juicy in it's delivery though the mid and base do come off a bit more synthetic as others have noted. I noticed something with this fragrance that no one else has commented on though. Dsquared2 only claims Eau De Toillette concentration yet it only contains 69% perfumers alcohol by volume. That's a 31% fragrance oil base concentration! Toy Boy by Moschino is another one that has this same exact concentration yet they claim it is an Eau De Parfum. Clearly this one has a high dose of the natural citrus oils that I smell in the opening of the fragrance which account for such a high amount of oil base. With Toy Boy, that fragrance is a beast and I would say that it contains a much higher amount of base oils that most fragrances as well. My point being, the companies just claim whatever concentration they chose for marketing purposes and we're left to discover what the actual amount of base concentration is by investigating ourselves. Clearly, by Chanel's standards, this fragrance is an Extrait de parfum, but Dsquared2 is only claiming it is Eau De Toillette?
Anyway, this one is a very nice one for warmer weather. From early spring to late fall you can boast this stuff just about anywhere. I love the very natural citrus used in the opening. The ambroxan here isn't over-done and accounts for what some reviewers are claiming as musk. The little amount of violet that I get in the mid is light handed and it's a pretty watery violet note which I prefer to more floral ones. The vetiver is just really starting to come out in the base along with the "white woods" which I honestly just think is the aroma-chemical iso-e-super. But, as for what they were attempting with this fragrance I think they did it extremely well!

CristoCologne

Citrus, floral, vetiver heavy. Mostly vetiver.. with musk, amber and some salty ambroxan is what I get. Not really woody per se, but quite nice nonetheless. Comes on strong and lasts for several hours on my skin.

Very closely resembles Bvlgari Neroli Wood and Tommy Bahama St. Kitts.. fraternal triplets you could say..

Igwe

Really really soapy woods. I sold mine.

mapache

Nice bottle/magnetic cap.
The scent is citrus/powdery...slight woodsy.....synthetic for sure.
Pretty good performance.
However....I do not care for this scent.
Generic...men's cologne.....nothing special....

RJ Watson

If you enjoy citrus scents, with a hint of spice, warmed by light woody elements and don’t mind a dash of Ambroxan holding it all together, and see this at a discounters, just get it. Don’t ask questions, just buy it.

I couldn’t help but laugh to myself when I sprayed it for the first time because it’s so good. I fully expected it to fall apart and/or disappear immediately but to my surprise, neither happened.

It’s an easy to read scent: a melange of citrus at the top, giving way to violet, some warming spices in the way of ginger and cardamom, before settling into a gentle woody accord aided by popular aromachemical Ambroxan. It doesn’t have a lot of throw but longevity is solid - although your mileage may vary.

Paid about $25 for it and I’ll use it all summer, so I did what any reasonable person would do: I snatched up a second bottle before the stock disappears.

The Wolf

Citrus/ambroxen bomb.
People like to shit on this because they are expecting big woods. I get that. False advertising.

If you can get over that, you will discover its a citrus scent.. and a damn good one.
This is bergamot done right. The Sicilian Lemon pops and projects.
Great for warm weather. Strong performance for a citrus fragrance.
Light woods, citrus and soapyness on the drydown.

If I paid retail for it I would probably be harder on this for it's simplicity but, I snagged a 100ML for 20 dollars.
Go into this with an open mind, and I think you'll be happy with it.

Bfish88

Soft. Synthetic. Citrus. Powder. Moderate. Mass appeal. Safe. These are a few words to describe this fragrance. A nice sping or summer dumb reach. I got it for $20 so it's ok at that price. The packaging and bottle are quite nice. Felt box and hefty bottle with a magnetic cap. Not great but not bad either. Super safe!

If you are familiar with Banana Republic & their Icon Collection, take 90 Pure White with a bit of Linen Vetiver, remove the Lavender and Grapefruit and this is what you get, Wood dsquared2. Personally I enjoy this one as it gives a clean light floral and citrus with faint woods in the background. It does not pop off your skin and projection is weak at best after the first 30 minutes. But, it has great longevity on my skin and at 5-6 pm in the evening during a casual eats and drinks with colleagues from work a couple of them mentioned that I smelled clean and inviting. One of the ladies stated that she was picking up a very nice fresh floral and citrusy aroma during the day but, couldn’t tell who was wearing it. She described it as a “calming and relaxing scent”. This stuff is great for office wear when you don’t want to be intrusive nor offensive or, just to throw some sprays on for a casual day out and running some errands. I purchased it hugely discounted because of damaged packaging at a local TJMaxx for $14.99. Solid, solid eau de toilette and as I stated before, if you enjoy the fresher versions from the BR Icon Collection, this is definitely worth picking up, even at twice the price.

Delosisles

Updated. I like this one more and more it’s so simple it’s not trying to scream at you. Just so pleasant and soapy/ woody. Lasts forever on clothing but not skin. I honestly really like wearing it to sleep. Very comforting scent. This is really nice.

sameenuk

wearing this one today. slightly disappointed. I guess the woody bit is meant to be the dry down. But I do enjoy the top notes of bergamot, lemon and orange. Quite lovely and fruity.

This isn't a bold scent. Its a very safe scent. Not bold and thats a shame given its price point. Im wearing it as a skin scent and there is little projection so i think its an intimate scent.

Bottle wise- look, this bottle is seriously good. The sprayer seems to be designed for a very generous application. The magnetic bottle top really works well. I feel really impressed by this bottle.

Saltychipdust

I don’t get wood from this. I do get citrus and violet though. If I really put my nose to it I can sense an ever so slight gasoline tinge which comes from the violet. I feel this is a very safe office daytime scent. It’s not super strong to cut through in the cold so wear in the warmer months..decent though.

Davide96

The scent is good, but oh God... the performances are so bad (on my skin it lasts not more than 2 hours!).

Definitely not blind buy worthy, but if the performances are good on your skin I think it's a nice woody fragrance.

And last but not least, I think it's way overpriced at the moment.

Robinfv

Absolutely gorgeous! Intimate citrus/violet scent, very modern and sophisticated, thank God no cheap ambroxan bomb. Just wished it was a little stronger, this stuff is too good to be this intimate. And the brown bottle is a bit deceiving, although very nice and of high quality, the colour should be more yellow/lavender. Makes me very curious of Green Wood. This is a must try/must buy for sure, measures up with every niche scent!

BubbaFB

Yep, smells like wood. Like I am walking down an aisle at Home Depot. The dry down smelled soupy. Not very strong but it did linger. Not for me.

mightymightyblues

I don't know what it is, but for me this is my best fragrance, and you want to know why? because I just smell it on my skin, and SMILE. Just that guys, I smile every time that i get the smell of this fragrance. So if you have curiosity about this bottle, just give it a try ... it's useless if people said that is good or bad, the important thing is what you feel when you smell it. It's good to take some advice, but in this case there are people that hate it, and other that love it soooo just try it and decide for yourself. :)

cashewdoc

This should have been a He Wood flanker. Maybe something like He Wood Fresh Grass Wood. It's fine. The hate for this primarily comes from it replacing the He Wood line, which is totally understandable. It feels like a weaker, more synthetic version of the original He Wood, with green citrus vibes added in. Fingers crossed we get some superior flankers.

scottgiles86

Very little to do with woods. This is a fresh, clean, and soapy scent. Lots of Violet and Ginger. Great for office wear. Longevity average for a freshie, but disappointing as it is not what it used to be. Does not project for long. Similar to Prada L'Homme without the Iris and less longevity. Not bad, but not worth buying a full bottle unless heavily discounted.

LR20

It's a synthetic mess, smells like it came out of a deodorant can. Save your money for something worthwhile.

noseblind77

wears like a second skin. Just when I thought the smell dissipated my co-worker told me she thought I smelled great!

- I no longer need my molecule 01..

Ursalilium

I Received few sample ampules of WOOD by dsquared2 together with big complements about this fragrance in the cosmetic store i purchased other items. however since i always tend to be skeptical regarding highly praised new releases i asked for samplers. first i have to say i expected much from a sample of a fragrance that is priced here at around 100US$(!), true that dsquared2 boots are also highly priced items and of premium quality, I would expect their fragrance to be of at least the same level of artisan production. well... it seems in this case the rules weren't followed. i took the freedom to spray a whole 1ML ampule at once, since i do have issues with some woody oils i struggled to find all the components during the opening and first thirty minutes, mostly failing to trace more than few hints covered by the Citric and "Ozonic" components. my mother who at the same time used CK Secret Obsession edp which is also quite woody noticed some traces of wood on me, however compared to what came from her i struggled even more to notice any wood in the opening. the Ambroxan here is also dimmed and over all isn't holding the mixture into one stable impression which was merely soft and very tuned down. i admit i was disappointed after this opening and forgot the whole thing, however after two to three hours it did develop to a nice, though faint, woody aromatic that sat close to the skin. my verdict for this impression is far from being positive, also, there is no second chance to make a first impression, and if this is what comes from the sampler then... i doubt that this is going to be a success, and the highly overpriced tag it comes with is not going to help. Longevity is about 6-7 hours at most while Sillage is soft to very soft and sits very close to the skin. perhaps on other skin it will perform better.

D2fan

To discontinue the entire line of He Wood and such masterpieces as Rocky Mountain and Potion for the sake of this misunderstanding is simply a crime against humanity! And as a fanboy of the brand with 12 years of experience - this is a complete disappointment! Absolutely nothing outstanding! This is simple, boring, spineless, frivolous and feminine, sorry, unisex compote for teenagers, as well as everything that the brothers are doing now.
The fragrance is very fresh and light, and it is not masculine at all (It does not have that masculinity, strength, drive and energy. The fragrance, frankly, is feminine in nature, it is not even unisex! It is youthful, light and carefree, and very simple. No it has complex overflows and interesting nuances.
Closer to the base, it becomes very similar to the female DSQUARED2 Wood, well, just a copy! Even cardamom does not save! Yes, the aroma is quieter and looser, and slightly ginger, as if with an aquatic note (or is it the intrigues of ozone).
The aroma becomes quiet and grassy, the cardamom starts to solo so that it prevents the other components from opening up, it suppresses everything and as a result we get closer to the mono base the aroma of cardamom with sea water. I don’t know where the water is still here ... there is a lot of it, it is salty and fresh.
In the database, he became very soapy and completely tasteless. It sounds on the skin, it is very simple and very cheap. Unfortunately, this was not what I expected ... not at all. Resistance is even less than that of his pair, only 1-2 hours. There is a train, but very weak. Neither ambroxan nor vetiver here at all, no ... I'm sad.
This novelty in the base resembles the perfume of men's shower gels and shaving foam, so there is nothing special and interesting in it in my opinion. And so it all started well ... Alas, I can’t advise you this fragrance, well, absolutely.

Basic and short-lived. I don't smell anything after the citrus notes die. Overall - not worth it.

Wood is a pleasant woody perfume that is heavy on the lime, violet leaves, and wood (duhh). I like it doesn’t get gross after it warms up (unlike many clean scents i tried). It’s a little unoriginal. I feel like I smelled something like this when sampling aquatic/clean men’s scents, but don’t let that deter you from getting this. I find it quite likeable. Sillage is a comfortable arms length.

This is surprisingly soapy fresh. I wasn't expecting such a fresh scent given the brown bottle. Imagine a just-out-of-the-shower scent with a masculine twist. Fairly linear scent. Given the soapy freshness of this scent, I'd like to see it in a bottle that matches the scent--a bottle that's lighter and more fresh looking. Definitely not brown for the bottle color. This is a well-made scent, but the bottle doesn't compliment the scent.

I can't say I'm terribly impressed by this one, it's the same price as the likes of Eros and Dior Homme, but in comparison it's such a small fragrance. It's beautifully presented, the bottle looks and feels great, but the fragrance itself is a let down. I was expecting something very woody and intense, instead I got a very light citrus cologne. The lemon note is pleasant, but it's so light. Sillage is woeful, but longevity was very good, it lasted ages, but very close to the skin. Overall I wouldn't recommend it.

I have tied/tested this on last week for few days. It just arrived to the US. Smells like original WOOD to me or the versions of it I used to have years ago for less then half the price. Pleasant, friendly, safe but nothing WOW or worth spending money on.... Fresh but not fresh NEW.

beavisbonce

Don’t know how they dare ask money for this horrendous imitation of infusion homme Prada it’s all that is wrong with this industry. Pathetic waste of a bottle

rickyfreaky13

Smells like He Wood or He Wood Cologne, with some citrus added, makes it fresher in the opening. I always love the Dsquared Wood series, this one makes it justice too. The heavy bottle and the magnetic cap is perfect, very expensive look.

singhdivjot

Tested this today, can safely say that this is a very inoffensive and unremarkable fragrance.
The scent starts with citrus and then voilet leaf and vetiver take over to form an average combo.
Just any other normal fragrance nothing to rave for.
I recognize a wood undertone though maybe due to the earthy nature of vetiver.

groover

Nice heavy beautiful bottle with magnetic
wooden cap, even a maple leaf on top of
the cap, anyways back to the scent itself.
I get a mix between He wood and rocky mountain
wood in this one, maybe even of a better quality than
both of them, it is such a nice woody soapy scent,
if you liked He wood or any of the flankers, chances
are very high that you will like this one too, it
also has good projection and longevity, great scent.

I sprayed it for the first time an hour ago. It felt so familiar, and it finally hit me. It smells just like Prada Luna Rossa.

Unmodernize

A perfumeur that makes a great scent on his worst day.

Funny. I got a free sample not knowing that it was a new Morillas. I instantly liked the opening. He truly is king of fresh mouthwatering openings, this is no exception.

So to the smell, it’s pretty masculine but more sensual. Tropical citrusy vibes from The One blended with the violet leaf soap vibe from Icon and Prada Lhomme.

As usual, this seasoned nose captures a youthful vibe no matter what notes he uses. This is almost a teeny scent at first sniff - but the vetiver/cardamom/violet leaf kind of matures it so a youthful 60 yo can rock it no questions asked.

Thinking about getting this one as a ”no brainer”. You know, a no think grab when you haven’t got time to decide ;)

Longevity seems to be ok.

gruppenfuhrer

i like this, much different than what i normally wear , gf likes it, obvious citrus, small hint of ginger, , dont last long about 4/5 hours, so to me not worth the money cost me £68 for 100ml, dont think i will get again.

ProtonN

Soapy fragrance.
Smooth violet leafs, with background amber, like an elegant soap. Woods? You get a hint.

So this is like a darker, dirtier version of Prada L'Homme

Abattur

This smells like pile of fallen maple leaves. And that is a good thing.

mare_crisium

Tried this today. I thought its opening was a little reminiscent of lemon floor polish. My partner quite liked it. The drydown is actually superb. Heavy on the lemon, which I love, but easy on the woods. It's entirely different to anything else I own, so I'll be grabbing a bottle.

giuseppe98gp83

I would have expected something much more "Wood" but the result on my skin is that of a classic citrus cologne. Among other things, the persistence is precisely that of a cologne. Vetiver and woody notes where are they?
I like it but it's not what I expected.
Analysis: 6/10

strut

Fresh citrus opening, unoffensive, unremarkable, same dry down as Gucci guilty.

lovetribe

Buyed today . Rewiev 2 : probabily the best clean scent for all year . no for winter . No for night . Open light Citrus with Bergamot and mandarin on all . Then wins violet and vetiver on all . soft ambroxan and for me no Wood and no Ginger . soft cardamom . It Is not a power bomb in face . longevity very present after 24 h and very good longevity. A Citrusy and intense version of prada infusion d'homme mixed with Grey flanel and Wood Cologne . 9/10 . women go crazy for this.

lovetribe

Incredibile very good longevity and low sillage. Good parfum .Very clean and soapy . a mix between prada infusion d'homme and Wood Cologne. 7/10 a nice surprise . Buy if you don't have prada infusion d'homme or He Wood Cologne.
