Although this will never be in my collection, for anyone that asks me "I just wanna smell good, money isn't an issue and I don't have to be original, What should I buy?" This is the easy answer and just cause its the easy answer doesn't mean its wrong. Some fragrances are popular and famous but only smell okay, this one happens to smell great, performs wonderfully and does truly get compliments.

Nandoiscool

Smells good

TheFraganist55

Testosterone, sex, and masculinity in a bottle. It's dark, warm, and inviting. Destroys the rest of the Sauvage line in terms of quality, scent, and performance. Lowkey if someone never showered and wore this it would probably never fully disappear (don't try that though, your friends and family will appreciate it). This fragrance is an atomic bomb. One or two sprays is all that is needed. Price is definitely worth it. It projects at least 6-12 hours, and it lasts at least 24 hours. Buy if u want to automatically upgrade your collection.

Himeros_Nuggestus

With a more classy and mature scent compared to the Sauvage line the Sauvage Elixir is the perfect addition to your collection if you're already a fan of the Dior Sauvage line.

24collection

A very spicy, almost sour and bitter take on the Sauvage DNA.
Takes a bit of getting used to this artistic piece of perfumery.

hourglass51

Tied with ADG Profumo for my all time favorite fragrance. This thing is legendary. Be careful spraying it on clothes or your shirt collar, as it will literally still smell for a week later until you wash it

turnerscott

Amazing how similar Asad is. ive tried a bunch of the clones and Asad is the best so far. However, Elixir original is a masterpiece. Subtle note layering that lingers and develops. Asad fine for loud club. its VERY much the same fragrance in a lot of ways Its loud and stays loud but has no development. For any meaningful moments choose the OG every time. Its so satisfying to see its different personality aspects. And Its not just loud its memorable

Corspin

Oh my, this is goooooooood, was basically my first thought.

Overall, this scent has a bit of a normal warm spicy vibe but there is also a layer of something very fresh in it that has kind of a shaving gel vibe. Really good combo. I feel like it's familiar to older scents so perhaps not that special. But I have to admit that I just like scents that are simple and well made (sometimes).

The price however is completely batshit insane...

Swore

Actually quite pleasant, if a bit boring. Unfortunately the entire experience is ruined by the phenomenal highway robbery that is the suggested retail price of this. 180 USD?? Yeah right, at that price point youre competing with the likes of Nasomatto, and these formulations cannot compete.

masbadjalen

I remember smelling this on a coworker a few months back in the late fall, and something about the scent trail that is left behind with this fragrance is something else. Although I am not one of those people who seem to hate on the rest of the "Sauvage" line, I will say that this fragrance separates itself from the rest of the line in a rather daring and more unique way. This is not at all in a way to shit on the rest of the line, but with a fragrance that comes from such a legendary line, it had a lot to live up to. To paint a picture of the feeling the fragrance gives me particularly would be to imagine a dark academia type of vibe, or a harry potter Gryffindor type of setting. Anyways... I could go on and on about how utterly amazing this stuff is but my words will mean nothing if you don't go out and try to smell this stuff for yourself. 8.8/10 Good luck and god bless.

rsnero680

My uncle has a bottle of this and he let me test it. I can't stand the regular Sauvage but this is nothing like the rest of the lineup. It's an amazing, powerful yet elegant scent that lasts for a very long time, and if it wasn't $330CAD for a bottle, I would absolutely buy it for myself. I think the price is just way too high despite the good smell and performance.

harrytavfc

I really don’t understand the hype. It’s fairly strong although I didn’t find it anywhere near as strong as people claim, and I just don’t think it smells good at all. I think people often talk about this as being ultra manly or macho but I don’t get that from it either - when I think of the most masculine fragrances I think of something like Chanel Antaeus or Dior homme 2020. To me, this just smells like a load of burnt essential oils and spices. Not remotely sexy.

GroovySwinger

This cologne is liquefied testes.

Eau de Cornichon

It goes without saying that this is way beyond the standard level of quality expected from designer brands.

In a nutshell, this is based on traditional western masculine DNA reminiscent of Drakkar Noir and Gillette shaving cream, with a strong oriental/middle eastern twist in the shape of heavy spices and licorice. It has very little to do with the rest of the Sauvage line.
Simple idea, brilliant execution. I think that this as iconic as BR540 and Creed Aventus.

It's also one of the most monstrous performers I've ever encountered, it's almost strong to a fault.
Fortunately the pressurized atomizer is among the best in the business and allows you to do half sprays.

Still though, this is for when you choose violence, wear it with confidence or it'll wear you instead.

Nabawoka

Let's cut to the chase: this fragrance is high quality, with incredible staying power and projection.

I really hate this. I cant explain it other than smelling bad and very strong. Dry down is decent but opening is ass

JaySentz

Do we need another review on this? Why not. A great performer that will appeal to a wide range of people. The sweet liquorice, lavender , and vetiver combine in an interesting way that grows on me…wish I didn’t have the association with people I am not fond of. Smell is funny that way.

Suppressing the snobby urge to hate this because it is popular. Similar to BR540 it’s hard to deny it’s a good scent even if you get tired of smelling it or dupes.

Jamsoni

My favourite fragrance of all time! Pretty sure i've had a compliment 99 times out of 100 i wore this going out, no joke.
Be careful with the trigger, more than 3 sprays will knock people out, and not in a good way. Perfect on a night out, you WILL get noticed. This will absolutely stick on you for more than 12 hours :D A bit pricey, but definitely worth it cuz you don't need to spray 10 sprays of this every time you wear it.

4fr9

Want a fragrance that will undoubtedly last long and project extremely well? Look no further. This fragrance is just amazing when it comes to performance, you won’t see many other designer scents performing like this. Seriously. Now let’s talk scent. This fragrance is very, very bold. It’s not very offensive or harsh however it’s extremely loud (potent) and concentrated so you’re going to be noticed. It’s not as mass appealing as something like Sauvage EDT/EDP or Y EDP but I do think it smells great. This is not a versatile fragrance either. I recommend this for fall/winter. You can get away with it in the spring but it’s not ideal.

Harry_11

Dior Elixir stands out as a strong and sexy fragrance, making a bold statement. Its intensity is captivating, ideal for those who want to leave a lasting impression. This perfume melds with the skin, creating a unique and memorable scent profile, perfect for evenings or special events. With excellent longevity, it maintains its allure for hours. Designed for the bold and confident, Dior Elixir earns a solid 8.5/10 for its potent charm and enduring presence.

DaysScentless

I prefer the dry down of this fragrance as it is a smoother , more powdery smell that I like. I find the cinnamon top note too much. But the dry down like I said is amazing

Fragrance Fox

A modern day fougère masterpiece with Eternal performance. A must have IMO, absolutely love the stuff.

gr95

Smells too much like maple syrup. I don't know how this is even considered a Sauvage when it smells nothing like the others.

Akrep Cemal

The new batch of sauvage elixir is just bad. It has to be putten off from “longest lasting perfume” lists. The scent itself is a spicy fougere for me. I’m 18 but I can pull this off well enough but this fragrance definitely requires some good clothes to go along with it. Wearing this fragrance with sport clothes is just a crime. Lavender is really there and it has pretty much freshness in it. Not spicy overpowering materials are there if you are looking for it. 7/10 for me and new batches are just, disappointing. I think this will grow more on me, but, even though I had a lot compliments with this, I’m not looking forward to put this on my skin next year but at the same time I’m happy that I have this gorgeous bottle in my collection. Buy this fragrance and let it sit for months, it will be stronger, bolder and sexier but do not expect niche level

Mzawacki99

Probably my favorite fragrance ever. The dry down is absolutely intoxicating.

nzq3224

I smell this in ulta every chance i get, and every time i get the same scent, burnt bananas. Idk if it’s just me but i really don’t get the tiktok hype on this one and i wouldn’t wear it for my self but other people might like it.

ElNino-7-

I don't like any of the other Sauvages, but I do like this. However, I can also see myself getting sick of it very quickly, it's quite synthetic. Therefore I'll avoid it because I know how fussy I can be once I've got a full bottle of something.

TonyG

I come back here often to review this. My signature scent and probably the best fragrance ever released. It smells like nothing else on the market, and it has no weaknesses. It's projection and spillage is God like, one spray and the entire area around you will be smelling it. I wear it at work where I have to climb a long flight of stairs and clients would smell it as soon as they walked in the door. Never met a woman who didn't like this. It's basically catnip for them. This is as close to a pheromone I've ever encountered. It is absolutely delicious and beautifully blended. The licorice and spice shine through and it's just a Megaton fragrance that deserves to be in every seriously collectors arsenal. This is my No#1 and probably always will be. And to hell with all the people who hate it purely because its popular and is a Sauvage. It's popular for a reason and if you hate it purely because of everyone else does, that's following a trend too genius.

kojoanderson

Blew me away. One of my forever scents. Solid!!

idabutter

I really dont like this one, it has a rotten smell at the base, like a mixture of fenugreek, sweat, and sunflower seeds. Credit where credit is due though, this stuff is powerful, you’ll need industrial grade shower gel to get it off of you

szkala_david

#1
One of the best fragrances that i have ever smelled, the aura it creates on a person is majestic.
This is a great perfume, especially on nightouts, dates, clubbing.
Compliment getter.
Had one elixir, edt and edp too.
But since i used it all up i wanted to buy a new one,but after smelling complex fragrances which are far superior i can't get myself to buy another bottle.

AA4102

I swear I’ve used perfume in the past that smells like this, probably from Mancera (or some deodorant 😂). Imo, this is my least fave on the line. Too spicy like a middle eastern perfume and this doesn’t even smell like the original Sauvage. I’m baffled that the majority is really hyped about this. I mean the performance is OUTSTANDING, but the smell is just ok and its price point is insane. For me it’s the parfum > edp > edt > elixir. And I know I’m in the minority.

H4jdm

Beast mode, picked up 2021 batches from eBay. I have 2 bottles from 21 and 1 from 23. Great stuff 💯

Ebuparfume

Im sory, I would never buy such a synthetic scent for this price :(

Bizzy1995

Smells like a super strong version of pine based cleaner. Was excited to sample this based on fragrance review hype. It’s pretty awful.

wadeem

I have the same as hawa438 below. Finished my early 2022 batch bottle and bought a 100ml December 23 bottle and it is noticeably weaker. Both projection as well as performance wise. My older bottle stayed on me the whole day and I could still smell it even after I showered in the evening. With this one the projection is barely there and longevity is tops 6 hours.

Going to buy some older bottles online because something is clearly off with the newer batches... :(

aryxn

it is probably one of the strongest performing out there and smells fucking awesome

shohruhnorqulov08

It opens with a pleasant sweet spiciness at first. After a while, the spice gives way to a very pleasant lavender. I really like it. I'm in love. The projection is excellent. Longevity too. I like the old school style. The old school style is used here too. Want to stand out from the crowd? This perfume is for you. Many wrote that this perfume is not for young people. I am 23 years old. But I am very happy to use this perfume. I have not seen such a high-quality and intoxicating perfume in recent years.

10/10

hawa438

Beast performance? I have a ‘23 bottle and it just doesn’t seem to project in the way all of these reviews speak of. Yes, 4-5 sprays and it projects but not like my sample from a couple of years did.

Could someone please elaborate because it hasn’t been reformulated yet. Thanks

Myentherin Govender 38

Got this fragrance last December and only used it like 7 times thus far, and whilst it is a powerful long lasting fragrance with enormous sillage for the first 2 hours which becomes a little closer projecting (like maybe a two metre scent bubble for another 6 hours) it's like an extremely woody version of the original Sauvage of which I am a fan.
The first spray is a sweeter mixture of the original Sauvage with extra doses of Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Lavender, Licorice with an underlying heady spice mix ( Must be all the other notes listed) which lasts for 30 minutes on my skin, before the scent goes more woodier with the cinnamon, sandalwood and Patchouli coming forward with an undertone of the lavender, which stays for a hour at this point and by the 2nd hour of wearing this fragrance it reaches the full drydown, a deep woody mix that is only a tiny bit sweet with an amplified spicy tone (almost pepper like) which lasts for the duration which most times goes well over 10 hours with strong projection, by the 12th hour it's a skin scent that's still spicy woods with a tiny hint of cinnamon and sandalwood to offer a smidge sweetness.
Whilst this fragrance is a powerful beast in terms of Longevity and Sillage, it's a bit too woody to me, though it garners compliments from both men and ladies, I guess it's me, my nose prefers more ambery woods with vanilla, over this super spicy woods, if I want super woods with spice I got Havana by Aramis which the drydown sort of reminds me off (it also reminds me a lot of the drydown of Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb, just that Spicebomb is sweeter on my skin with the Cinnamon and what I assume is Vanilla), just that Havana has this ambery Tobacco wood drydown that I prefer.
All in all a fantastic scent that I get it's popularity, but for it's price I can get other scents that pleases my nose better.
So it's no fault of Sauvage Elixir, it's just my preference.
A 7.5/10 for me.
Though I must admit it lasts for days on clothes.
And I only do 3 sprays max with this one, so this 60ml bottle will last me a few years.

Cuh Lone

Wow! This fragrance exudes an aura of vibrancy and playfulness, blending the notes of citrus and patchouli gives it a crisp, clean freshness with a tinge of greenness, while subtile hints of summer accords imbue a sense of cleanliness and purity. Additionally, a delicate touch of femininity interweaves with the vibrant composition, adding a nuanced complexity that elevates the fragrance to an unparalleled level of allure.

nah im jk, its more like a modernized Drakkar Noir.

guvendereli

I can't believe this is happening. I bought a 100 ml bottle 1 month ago because I knew that such successful perfumes were reformulated after a while due to stupid cost reasons. But I'm late. I can't believe how you could ruin such a masterpiece. The old permanence and spread is definitely gone. What a pity

Abasc Agrav

I would like ajmal orbiter to be listed on Fragrantica!

inside Amarnath

Feel the follower asad is more pleasant than the master elixir

sarp

there a reason why everyone copying them Dior elixirs this thing tooo dang good, only lil boys don't like this to them I say grow up!!

SUTU

Sophisticated fragrance, bold and full of aroma. it will last very very long.
while it may have some subtle sweetness from certain notes, such as the amber, its generally characterized by its boldness and depth rather than sweetness.
personally, I will keep buying it all my life.

theryangosling

I personally do not like this fragrance, not a safe blind buy 100%. I personally like sweet vanilla fragrances, if you like spicy woody loud fragrances buy this. you’ll love it.

Harelchuk

A masterpiece so good and strong

10/10
YOU MUST TO BUY THIS

Aicfr

This is up there in the best fragrances of all time. There is nothing that smells off it litterally smells perfect. It’s fresh but also very spicy at the same time. It just smells so damn good it is overpriced but I can’t not own this fragrance

adriano98

To start off I want to say I’ve owned Dior Sauvage EDP and have sampled the EDT and Parfum. Personally I’m not one for ultra spicy “masculine” fragrances. To my nose they can be bothersome. But this here, this here changed my whole perception. The term “Elixir” can mean a medicine, potion, a concoction and this is all those. A medicine to help you get out of your bummer, a potion designed to make you feel bold, good, and adventurous and maybe even in love. A concoction of the Sauvage line to prove the already heavy name it carries. For 180$ retail this is the most I’ve dropped on a fragrance. That said, it’s worth every last penny. You want to smell better than the rest? Higher quality? Maybe you’re into the notes of this fragrance whatever it may be. Try it! In the opening, tart bergamot, all but 15 seconds and you get a heavy blast of a beautifully done cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and woodiness. Then about 5 minutes after the opening is transitioning to the mid, a beautifully done lavender enters the mix, mixed with the spices and woodiness. A high class barbershop esc lavender. Mixed in with a slightly American like smell. You get these whiffs for 3.5 hrs then finally the base comes in. A smooth amber, woods, spices, light touch of floral lavenders. Sweet, sensual, and spicy. The simplest notes, done exceptionally well. People turn heads when they smell you in public. My wife loves it. A bonus! Garners compliments or at least will for sure get you noticed, love it or hate it. Dior knocked it out of the park. I get some whiffs of the other flankers in this but this is definitely not like the others. It is its own beast. You get freshness from ambroxan, very very dumbed down in this one , citrus from all the others. Slight floral touches, Peppery, spicy, nuances, smooth, creamy, ambery finishes in the base. Just done extremely potent and extremely well done. 5 sprays if you want to kill it. 2-4 if you just want to be noticed or smell it for yourself only.
Sillage: 9.5/10 this scent trail lasts so long and is great. 7hrs or so.
Projection: 9.5/10 projects 4-6 feet if I had to guess, great scent bubble. Lasts as long as the sillage.
Longevity: 10/10 I still smell this on my clothes and skin 18+hrs after usage. It’s insane!
Overall: 9.5/10 for me this is amazing, a big change to my collection. I love freshies, fruity, citrusy, sweet fragrances. This is exact opposite of that. But it’s great. Elixir definitely fits the build. If you can spend on it and like it it’s a no brainer. A little goes a long way, quality is exceptional, performance is out of this world. Thank you Dior.

jaque tayleau

i found the opening quite overwhelming , crowded and struggled to really know what was going on . but it dried down into a really nice sexy, spicy and masculine fragrance . Really nice fragrance once it starts to dry down.

Arsenal Till I Die

If you guys think this is so strong then how come I never smell this anywhere and smelt it on one guy at work but had to be pretty close…the EDT on the other hand when it first came out was potent and could be smelt everywhere and lingered. I don’t find this that strong at all and ended up selling my bottle. I have an aventus absolu clone which kills this in performance and got me 5 compliments in one day which was a suprise and a world record for me. Love the fragrance but me and my gf not happy with its performance. Sad but is what it is. Fragrances arnt that serious..

Sauvage77

A modern masterpiece.Insane projection and longevity and it is my most complimented fragrance.Definetly suggest it if your a guy above 25 looking for a masculine scent.Just be careful with the sprays because it can choke people.

LeafyPhoenix

Masculine, bold and dark with some sweetness. A perfect winter scent. There are some factors of this fragrance that make it absolutely amazing and beautiful. It is very woody and masculine, but the sweetness balances it out. Outrageous projection, 3 SPRAYS MAX even as an oversprayer. Stupid longevity, a half spray won’t come off my skin even after a shower. Incredible scent by Dior.

Aqualunatic

I work in a shop, and this is the only fragrance where strangers will routinely compliment me, ask what I'm wearing, or say "it smells nice in here" as they walk in. And in the UK it's really not too common for strangers to compliment fragrances haha

neilvizuett

In my opinion and experience, when I wear it, it smells sweet, creamy, cozy, rich and provocative, the rose /or at least what I perceive as rose, maybe the licorice) takes a lot of protagonism, which makes me think of it as a romantic fragrance, it smells like french romance from a masculine concept.

I can see why at first it can come up as being too masculine, too strong or spicy, the first time I smelled it (on a paper) I found it a little overwhelming but once I wear it I get the experience I mention.

raef_sherif

Try one DS elixir spray...then 5 sprays of sauvage eau de parfum....and you will be in heaven

fatiher123

One of the best fresh perfumes you can use for winter, its performance and sillage are excellent, its scent is not the same as Dior Sauvage, you should definitely try it.

devendaljit

Dior Sauvage Elixir is still to this day the absolute strongest and longest lasting fragrance I have ever tried alongside MFK Oud Satin Mood. This stuff never goes away even with just 2 half-sprays. Great opening with a spicy dry down that never really dies ever. You will end up showering before this stuff goes away. I do have one of the first batches and can speak on the new ones. Sometimes I will find it smells different from other times Overall, 9/10

H4jdm

My 21 batch is nuclear over 20+ hours, beast mode projection. 1-2 sprays max. My 23 batch only 8 hours… 3-6 sprays max. After 6 hours close to skin scent, but still beast mode projection. Wore 5 sprays and was told, ‘I could smell u from afar’ and ‘you smell good, what is it ?’- It’s great, wish it lasted longer.

Doffstein

The beast!! Wonderful!!

This is how longevity and sillage should be. Not the skin scents that cost>200 euros and smell 1 hour max.

Rajanthakur

10 out of 10 all the time

exmin

way overpriced but it is a great scent

ashakhboz123

Best out of the whole line, doesn't smell obnixious and in your face. Smells pretty unique to compared to other popular designer fragrances hyped up right now.

mxttfrench

Super strong and likeable stuff, Im early 20s and its my most complimented but almost always by people 30+

Toby Alexandru

I actually wasn’t going to make a review on this fragrance, but after watching TikTok’s on it I was intrigued to do my own review.

Christian Dior is back at it with another banger for the sauvage line. This is the only scent from the “Sauvage” line that doesn’t get a ton of hate on TikTok for being an NPC fragrance. Honestly I like the entire sauvage line, but I agree that this is the best. It’s an extremely dark, masculine, sweet and spicy scent, that is overall very different from the rest of the sauvage line. I still pickup the sauvage dna, but it’s very subtle and quickly drowns in darkness. The projection is MASSIVE. I own about 50 fragrances that are pretty much all in the same cabinet. When I open the cabinet this is primarily the scent that I smell. It out projects pretty much any fragrance in my collection and when I wear it, everyone around me can smell it. The longevity is just like the projection the longevity is INSANE. I have never owned nor come across any fragrance that lasts quite as long as this does on my skin. Except perhaps JOOP! Homme EDT, but we all know, no one even wears that. this lasts 24+ hours on my skin. I can spray it on in the morning, go through with my day and go to sleep, just to wake up, still being able to smell it quite easily. Want my advice? Don’t spray this on clothes. Even if you wash it several times, the scent won’t come off. It honestly lasted for weeks when I sprayed it on my sweater once. My girlfriend dislikes this, so I rarely get to wear it. But when I do , you’ll be sure when I’m around.

Overall the scent is more grown up, I can’t recommend this for teenagers unless they’re actually really into fragrances and can appreciate the complexity and depth of this beauty.

Overall, one of my absolute favourites of all time.

MrBold

Those who think assad has similarity with this.. totally disagree, this is testoterone in bottle, no oriental vibes in it like assad does.. so stop creating false depiction of assad.

luckybeggar

Sweet and sexy, very different to the rest of the Sauvage line. This would KILL on a date or night out.

Freakmoney

This is an amazing fragrance and significantly better than the EDP. Not much to say about something this popular… it’s sexy and one of a kind. Only complaint is it is definitely overpriced.

Lemosse

Great Fragrance , i went out and sampled it and will definetely buy a bottle, I wasn't the biggest fan of the opening , but it was decent , a bit too heavy on the cinnamon ( for me ) , the mid sees some out that lavender start to shine through , but the thing about this fragrance , It just keeps getting better and better , The base is one of if not the best fragrance bases i have ever smelt. Warm with a bit of spice left over , Aromatic from the lavender carrying over into the base , and of course it is NUCLEAR.

Scent : 9.5/10
Longevity : 10/10
Projection : 10/10
Price : 8/10 , Yeah it's expensive but i think its justified by the fact that you only need 1-2 sprays so a bottle of this will last.

Overall : 9.5/10

Contrary to popular belief , I think you could pull this off in the summer , Just go very light on the trigger , Since the atomizer is pressured , I would do a maximum of half a spray on the front of the neck , and half a spray on the back of the neck for summer.

For cooler seasons you could do 2-3 sprays. 3 Might be a stretch but 2 definetely for the cooler seasons , and Yeah in case anyone was wondering , this doesn't smell like any of the former sauvages.

This is the one of the greatest colognes ever made. It has some leather and nutmeg in it with some powdery notes at the end… For some reason, IT DOESN’T EVEN SMELL LIKE SAUVAGE. It smells like an entirely different cologne! Great performance and longevity. I would recommend this to anyone who does or doesn’t like Sauvage.

Joe Brrr

This is one of my favorite designer fragrances. Wear this for a night out at the bar on a cool night with black leather jacket. Very masculine and very strong. Only need a few sprays or else it could be too strong.

Fragrance_ Warrior

The best fragrance ever made, the price is very good, the smell is insanely good, it lasts very long. You will guaranteed get compliments every single day. Literally the best. 11/10. Also very good for all seasons.

fragc0nnoisseur

Honestly, I can barely smell the Sauvage DNA.

Let me tell you, I really don't like any of the other Sauvages, but man, Elixir is just something else. It is niche-priced, so pretty expensive, but with that price you also get the niche-quality. It is an eternally lasting fragrance, on clothes it lasts over a week, and on skin it lasts over 24 hours. It is a beast!

I think the whole Sauvage thing was done for marketing purposes, since like I said, I can barely pick up the DNA very late in the drydown. I've got plenty of compliments wearing this one, and would highly recommend it to you if you're willing to pay the price for it.

Don't go with more than 2-3 sprays for casual wear, overspray it only if you want to choke people out :)

PaperRouteP

Compliment getter

Vildes pookiebeer

This shit is straight ass. I would rather jump of the Eiffel tower than wearing this.
Atomiser: 10/10
Scent: I would rather die/10

aaronfr

i mean its okay but lowkey smells like sweaty teenager

Danziger

Dior Sauvage Elixir, Dior Fahrenheit Le Parfum ,Chanel Antaeus... Holy trinity of GOD mode...

Sentleman

Deep masculine scent. Excellent sillage, projection and longevity. Women will give you that look, some brave enough to enquire. Worth every penny and safe blind buy. Joker below who stated it's office scent and use ten sprays should be banned from this site.

punkb0nes

Holy cow what a smell. So strong, it demands attention, and it gets it! Very masculine, old school vibes. I've never tried the other versions of Sauvage, but I'm sure they are leagues different than this beast. I can only wear this one when I'm alone because people have told me I smell old when I wear it (maybe I am).

albinerikssonnn

Perfect office fragrance, use at least 10 sprays, everyone will love it!

Marto_Fragrances

This fragrance is very heavy and spicy great for winter and fall make sure to not wear it during summer. The smell is very unique and spicy some people don’t like because of the heavy smell. Very good for special occasions I personally won’t wear it every day. Also the price is a little bit overpriced if you’re on a budget pick Lattafa Asad.

Kuquii1974

One of the best in my opinion. Heavy floral woody balsamic scent that lasts all day. Spray it on, have the confidence to walk down the street whistling ' Do ya think I'm sexy ' by Rod Stewart. Get on it

euxury

This is actually overrated frag imo. Opening is woody dry spices and drydown it smells like sauvage don't blind buy.

HealthandWealth

In the depths of the night, where shadows dance and whispers linger, there exists a potion of allure, an elixir of undeniable power. Dior Sauvage Elixir, a fragrance veiled in mystery, emerges as a beacon of masculine potency, commanding attention with its dark and enigmatic aura.

From the moment it graces the skin, a symphony unfolds—an orchestration of contrasts that enthralls the senses. Bright bursts of grapefruit pierce through the obsidian veil, illuminating the darkness with their radiant zest. Yet, beneath this luminous facade lies a depth, a complexity that defies explanation.

Ambroxan, shrouded in its nocturnal cloak, weaves its spell, enveloping the wearer in an aura of primal allure. Its presence is palpable, lingering in the air like an intoxicating whisper, drawing admirers into its magnetic embrace. The sillage it leaves in its wake is nothing short of mesmerizing, an invisible trail that speaks volumes without uttering a word.

Oh, how the compliments flow like tributaries to a mighty river, each word a testament to the allure of this elixir. It is a fragrance that commands attention, evoking primal instincts and stirring the senses with its intoxicating blend.

To wear Dior Sauvage Elixir is to exude an air of invincibility, a scent that speaks of wealth, desire, and raw masculinity. It is a fragrance that ignites passion, leaving both men and women alike in its thrall. For those who dare to indulge, it is a journey into the heart of desire, where every breath is a reminder of the power that lies within.

In a world where perception is reality, Dior Sauvage Elixir reigns supreme—a fragrance that speaks of money, sex, and testosterone. With every spray, it asserts its dominance, making mere mortals feel inferior in its presence. It is not just a scent; it is a statement—a declaration of strength and virility that cannot be ignored.

In the grand tapestry of fragrances, Dior Sauvage Elixir stands as a masterpiece—a testament to the power of scent to captivate, seduce, and enrapture. It is a fragrance for the bold, the confident, the ones who dare to leave an indelible mark on the world.

Wear if you want to smell like: James Bond, Bruce Wayne, Patrick Bateman, Richard Roma etc. cut throat killers with swag

80Days

My girlfriend wanted one of my sweatshirts that smelled like "me." This is the fragrance she wanted on it. I'm bummed that it's increasing in popularity (the scent, not my sweatshirt), but it really is magnificent.

Longevity is great, and I find it pretty easy to balance sillage and longevity, so long as I am in open spaces.

This is NOT for close quarters, like a long car ride.

T-Off12

I’m new to the fragrance world, but I have smelled many niche fragrances from several brands, and this still is one of my favorite colognes I’ve ever smelled. Ended up getting the 100ml bottle just because. Longevity and sillage is 10/10, 3 sprays is PLENTY for bars and large events.

Patrovsky

This is such a sexy fragrance. Spicy and mature. It projects heavily and honestly lasts forever, especially on clothes. I had a sweater sitting in my room for a week and I could still smell Sauvage Elixir on it. This is a 10/10 for me I love wearing it

colognoisseur

Here’s a first: had one of the nurses at work approach me with a pen and paper— had to know exactly what I was wearing because I smelled “delicious!”

I love this scent, and everyone does around me too! Just go light on the sprays if you plan on being in a small space or dinner table.

SavageKing

This fragrance will make you stand apart from the other people in line at the local soup kitchen, wear this to let people know you have morw money than they do.

reptileez

Very mature and dark scent!
Serious stinging power and a room filler, but the price for the juice is serious as well…but none the less, its unique

Neptune10598

Blind buy miss!
To me, it smells like spicy lavender air freshner. It becomes unpleasant after 2-3 hours. I love the edt and with all the positive youtube reviews, I thought I would love it :(
I'll try to resell it.

isa.orgz

LOVE mixing this with Giorgio Armani's My Way, really interesting blend of masc and femme scents that surprisingly is not overwhelming

Smirky

Man oh man, I wish every fragrance I liked had this kind of raw, brutish, testosteronic power and projection. Their noses know when you walk in the room with this baby. Can't believe this was launched in 2021 - more like 1991. Did we turn a corner and leave the sissy performing fragrances behind? hahaha

I'd rate the scent as hyper-masculine, along the lines of Kouros, Antaeus, Guilty Absolute and others. Kouros is Kouros, of course, but Antaeus and Guilty Absolute are sharp and pungent. Sauvage Elixir is the opposite - smooth and creamy, but no less masculine. Sweetness really dialed down. A few minutes after I sprayed it on, I had a sudden, strong urge to flex and my lats tore my shirt while my pecs did a tango. lol

Right after applying, it does remind me of Hugo Boss Bottled Elixir, which I recently tested. The Boss scent struck me as meh, just OK. Sauvage Elixir, on the other hand is an awesome scent. Can't put my finger on what is added and/or left out compared to the Bottled Elixir, but Sauvage Elixir leaves it miles behind in the dust. It also doesn't have the synthetic/chemical vibe I detected in Bottled Elixir. Sauvage Elixir smells natural and good quality. It does not remind me of Drakkar Noir (which I also like a lot); to me it's much closer to (but nowhere near the same as) Bottled Elixir.

Does not strike me as a scent for mature men only; fits any age. There is a caveat for a teen - you've got to have the balls to handle the power in this baby. More for the jacked alpha on campus; less so for the geek taking AP calculus. hahaha

It's awesome. I like, I like. Review based on a sample. Had to immediately take out my credit card and order a bottle at the J shop where it's part of the winter sale. Yeah, it's pricey but you don't have to use 20 sprays to get awesome performance. Don't need to spray clothes; on the skin is sufficient. A little goes a long way.

What more can I say to recommend it? Hats off to you, Mr. Demachy. Dude, you are a genius.

Misterprofumo

I cannot help but like this fragrance I think it blows the original Dior Sauvage away.. it's more refined more mature a captivating scent and definitely a lively scent, it's a little Dark compared to Dior Sauvage it's warming and sensual, yet refreshing and zesty, the longevity is credible I'm getting 13+ hours and can smell it next day off my clothes and skin without having to even try.. I really think Dior done a really good job this is a well designed fragrance one that I would buy again
..

AkselSvEn

makes me want to slap the swans in the city on the beak

J.hayden1

I think this fragrance is great, a pure masculine scent. In the air this fragrance is divine with spicy, aromatic blue notes almost giving off a vibe of a modern barbershop. When smelled more up close on skin, it appears a LOT more spicy and intoxicating which some may find overwhelming but personally i think is great.

kerolz

I use 5 sprays everytime i wear it but just when temperature is not more than 10-15 degree celsius

gurshaan.bangar

I wore this today and got many compliments, however, many people told me it was strong so this is definitely a one sprayer. If your going out you can get away with 3 sprays.

bigboipascal

Sex in a bottle. Spray once.

gharper

This is the scent achieved after running a finger across your taint with the addition of cinnamon.

1969Holiday@

Blind bought (my fault) and regret it. Can’t fault the performance, it’s potent and lasts for easily 8-9 hours but the actual scent is nauseating in my experience. Gives me a headache and the spice lingers in your nose unpleasantly.

Performance - 9.5/10
Scent - 2/10

jigginssean

I blind bought a bottle of this last year (silly I know) & I am still not sure whether I enjoy it or not! Performance wise, it is stellar & even 1 spray would easily last all day. I do like it even, but something about it doesn't resonate with me and I can't put my finger on what. I am still undecided whether to keep my bottle or not but it's definitely not a bad fragrance by any means & I'd even say it's a great concoction overall, I just don't know whether it really suits me. This fragrance is an enigma to me!

timsmellsg00d

A strong, sexy, masculine head-turner. Amazing signature. It is dark, spicy, and sophisticated. I truly believe it is niche quality from the ingredients to the blend to the scent profile.
Scent: 9/10
Performance: 10/10
Price:7/10
Overall: 8.6/10

billnyethefragranceguy

this fragrance is aromatic spicy and just addicting every time I'm in a shop and smell it I always come back for more. I will 100% be buying a 60ml which in my opinion is all you need because it is so super nuclear and projecting 2-3 sprays and you will sell for the whole day 10/10 for me

zscentsz

good, overpriced and very spicy, wear it correctly and you will be the best smelling in the room.

TomoSumeo

If you are, an extrovert, carefree, bold, loud, and attention-seeking, this scent is for you.
It smells great, but nothing is sophisticated about it, and it's ok. Not everyone cares about scents. It is a manly scent, specifically made for men's noses. This scent will create a sign on your head that says "Look at me!"

Leonard_hojjat

I love this fragrance very much it smells very good

RexTenebris

All drama and stigma aside, I think this is really solid. Dense, spicy, floral, woody and a little “barbershoppy”.

I actually think it’s not bad for the price, given its strength and the amount of naturals in it. It lasts a long time and is HEAVY.

Sometimes it does give me the vibe of an ultra-macho douchebag, while most of the time it feels like a clean spicy gentleman scent. I think it loses points if it’s oversprayed. Worn right, it’s great.

I think it’s versatile, for me it’s currently a post shower scent. I view it as a unique barbershop fougere, even though it’s not classified as that.

There is something addicting in it to me. I think it might be the licorice? No idea but surprisingly for its strength I can bong rip it over and over and not get a headache.

I’d say 8.5/10. Solid fragrance. Can be worn really well, but not going to be in my top 10.

iMature

For everyone that says that this is ocerpriced, they are not making some math. With 4 sprays, you are good for the whole day with amazing projection. 1ml has 12 sprays, so you use 1/3rd of a ml. 60ml * 3 you have 180 times you use this, for 100ml you have 300 times, almost a year (if you use it everyday, which you don't). So you have almost 2 years of this fragrance. No, it's not overpriced for the quality and performance it brings. Also, women go feral about this one ;)

Bigran1978

I love Salvo elixer

Jgough84

Beautifully masculine this fragrance. I wear for special occasions. Gorgeous

GingyFragrance

At first, I absolutely loved this fragrance, it became almost an instant favorite. After a while, it started smelling a bit overdone to me. Complex, yes - a very good fragrance. But it’s hard to justify the price here when you can get a 100ml clone for $25.

Nnhgcddrhkmbfcnnjhgc

The sales assistant told me “ it’s an elixir so it’s extra strong” cringe ! Shame on everyone for jumping on the elixir bandwagon. This kind of consumer trickery should be banned. Aswell as naming notes that aren’t actually in a fragrance. If it’s a natural all good, but if it’s an aroma chemical dupe it should be named as the chemical dupe.

Anyway rant over. Dior smashed it again with this one. Timeless and masculine. Quality is there for sure, unlike other elixir spoofers. Don’t yet own any of the Sauvage line but that might change soon with this beast

NaSpidaxx

I don't think that this exact perfume or overall Dior Sauvage line needs a review, but nonetheless. It is for sure classic of the fragrance world, It's spicy and sweet, It's dark and cold, it's complimentary and mass-apealing.
The pros of Elixir for me is strong aroma of lavender and cardamom (Le Male le Parfum fan), litteraly eternal longevity and big, but at the same time not irritating sillage.
Cons are that it is slightly overprised. Maybe it is just me, but it could've been 10-15 euros cheaper
In conclucion, Dior Sauvage Elixir is must have for fragrance lovers and regular man
8.9/10

Vadekoya

Straight gem. Unique, mass appealing, cold dark but sweet and spicy. All I could ask for in a masc frag.

HorreurZizi

@fragrancenigga123 xD you killed it hahahahahahha

Bluecollarfresh

So when was this reformulated? Last week I picked up a 2oz tester. Batch from 11-23. This stuff has average performance at best. I have a few fragrances in my collection. Some are beast mode. But this? This is not beast mode. Sprayed once on my neck the day I got it,right before bed. Could not smell the next morning. Sprayed twice on the chest of a hoodie. Can barely smell the next day. I have edts that perform 10x better than this stuff. Nice smell or whatever, but beast it is not. Big letdown for sure.

Abdi_fragrance

To the person named “ fragrancenigga123” ur disgusting as f*ck and nobody and I mean NOBODY wanted to know that

fragrancenigga123

This perfume reminds me of the sweet scent of my ex boyfriends semen. When he would passionately cum in my ass then playfully put it in my mouth, the sweet flavor always pleasantly suprised me. All my friends love the scent of this fragrance and we take turns shooting loads and comparing the smell to this parfume.

Zaicea

Incredible for autumn and winter . The thing that surprises me the most about this scent is that I always feel like I’m smelling like lots of other men . I honestly think this is more common right now than Dior sauvage edt even though it probably isn’t. Several times women have told me that I smell like an ex of theirs which isn’t necessarily pleasant to hear . However , this fact doesn’t affect my opinion on this elixir . It’s potent , very potent , and is reminiscent of old times , better times , when people were perceived as being more interested in each other altogether, especially when dating . This to me is a scent that gets me thinking about a sunset drive in Miami in a nice cabriolet with a delightful woman by my side .
Scent 9/10
Longevity8.5/10
Compliment factor (women and men) : 8/10
Versatility 7/10

ASmellySmell

Not a fan. Very strong. Think along the lines of 1 Million...no more than 2 sprays needed. I was so sick of smelling this on myself. Did not enjoy this scent at all.

NoirMemoir

Sigh...once again i have to delete and rewrite my review on a fragrance so here it goes:

Dior capitalised on the success of their best selling line of perfumes and named this Dior Sauvage Elixir but missed out on the opportunity to name this something else entirely and be more original, because to me it doesn't belong in the Sauvage line at all.

Its almost a shame to say you like Sauvage EDT nowdays, but i admit i like it even if its not my favourite, but sadly i don't really connect with Elixir. My first few testings left me with impressions of a very ashy fragrance, and as much as i hate making such claims, it reminded me of an ashtray. Now that the liquid in the sample had ample time to develop, i no longer get ash, but rather very strong, dark green bitter spices, possibly the Licorice note. One could be tricked into believing it is an Amouage perfume, thats definetly a plus because the quality is there, dare i say its worth the price tag. It is an extremely masculine, mature and dominant scent, one that conveys both confidence and frankly, agressiveness.

I still find it abrassive, aswell as throat and nostrill irritating, just not ashy as i first smelled it during testings. I doubt i'll pick up a bottle. It takes a certain personality to wear it because its a fragrance that announces itself boldly and sends a threatening message both in terms of scent profile and performance. I can appreciate less appealing perfumes and Sauvage Elixir isn't one of them, just a bit too angry for me.

The fragrance smells like those black licorice candies smell and look like lol.

SavageKing

This smells like a dead mangled decomposing body but in a good way, not on par with some of the heavy hitters like nautica voyage but still good.

Biscuitt

Probably the best fragrance i have ever purchased. Insanely strong and projecting

Kuldeep S

This fragrance is good. sweet , spicy and fresh. This is similar in smell to darakkar noir.

Mayeduniverse

Honestly you can't go wrong with this.

M b z

Best fragrance in the sauvage line, I have old batch 2021 (1E02) 60ml, I only sprayed 3 it’s enough for 2 days with beast mode and nuclear silage, I recommend using for night in winter only ❤️🔥

Csixer66

Who on TF is saying this is weak?! They need to put it up and go home cause fragrances are not for you. This os the str9ngest designer frag to be released in a decade.

If you think this is week. You are Hellen keller only in your nose.

oceansoflorewi

786 DOWN votes for this not reminding people of Drakkar Noir.

What is wrong with you people?! This is a remixed sweeter modern day version of Drakkar Noir. The shoutout to the past is uncanny.

Sure Asad is an exact clone- but why not put the classic masterpiece that inspired it to the top of the heap? 415 Upvotes should put this behind asad, period.

Fragrantica should remove the downvote option - makes zero sense - its no ones business to complain or get triggered if 415 people smell drakkar noir.

Leave the upvote option and let the best fragrance win. *eye roll*.

I hate people.

Jucmorgo

I'm 37, female, and wear Elixir. Piney, like a Christmas candle with some spices and herbal at the same time.
Unisex, leaning towards more male.
I don't care for the Sauvage line in general. But this is different. And loooong lasting.

chrisarcarola75

You dumbasses out there.. STFU with the Drakkar Noir comparisons please. Please send me a private message and explain? They're not even in the same ballpark. Way back in the day this site used to be full of knowledgeable frag heads that knew wtf they were talking about. Now? It's a bunch of sheep who hear a couple dumbasses and immediately follow suit. There is absolutely NO similarities to this and Drakkar Noir. Period

Sentleman

Come on. You know you have to get a whiff of this. Wait a few minutes and take another whiff off that tester card. Then get out your credit card.

lormp

I really don’t get the hype of this one. It smells like licorice tea mixed with mixed herbs tea. That’s it. Just herbal tea.

fubar

My suitemate wears this, and I can smell it in the restroom 30 minutes after when he sprays it. Smells like a douchebag (my suitemate is not). It just smells overused, and boring. Get a better smelling fragrance, and a less douche-y one.

Franrose

Tried it on my husband today. Initially he said he thought he smelled like Christmas, and shortly after, Easter buns. Not really the effect he was after and he couldn’t get past that even after a few hours. I had been keen to see how the lavender would work but it hasn’t really made itself known to me (I do use a lot of straight lavender essential oils at home though so may have been expecting too much).

Don Coolio1942

Nice change up from the original DNA with the addition of spicy notes. A great night out scent that will grab attention but don’t overspray this cause it’s strong! Lol 2 sprays tops will carry you through the night and the next day 8/10

Trueblood84

I waited a few weeks of wearing this stuff to get a proper sense of what it is working with. The reason I did so is because I was initially very disappointed with Sauvage elixir. Everyone said this was the most potent fragrance in their collection. In the opening I didn't find it to be true for me. But as the drydown starts to take over, projection increases and this becomes quite the loud fragrance. However the drydown smell is noty cup of tea it's like they just tried to modernize Drakkar Noir which is a hate for me. It comes across abrasive and sharp to my nose. Overall I have to give this an 8/10 cuz it performs phenomenally, and the opening smells wonderful. But the drydown just isn't for me

Ellyloveswednesday

I absolutely love this fragrance on my husband! Very sophisticated, sexy, male scent. It is mature though, it suits 30+ of even 40+ best. It is also STRONG. I've smelt people who oversprayed it and that easily reads as trying too hard.
So in my opinion for a mature, well groomed man, only a few sprays and it's very very good!
I do think it's too expensive. 140EUR for 60ml? We can't get ourselves to buy a bottle. I just keep choosing samples of this with other orders :D

robertwembridge

Imagine a Spicebomb fragrance, but it is packed with dense ingredients. But it doesn’t explode and you are loosely bounded by the aroma coming out of a potion with its whiff of spices.

GiveMeADrPepper

Half of a spray (yes, half) filled up my entire room. What helps is that it smells heavenly.

diego.lesgart

With what regret I see how great brands like C.H. Paco Rabanne, YSL, Gucci, Armani... who in previous decades gave birth to icons, unforgettable emblematic fragrances, now only worry about making one franchise after another. Generic, hybrid, very similar to each other... Without care, sense or dedication: something after another and nothing more...

hanginglimbs

This is a fragrance I would have loved about 5 years ago, when I was still into finding the most unique, pungent, anti-mainstream smelling fragrances around. This definitely smells like something that would be offered in the niche Dior line, or even something from a name like Amouage. Smoky, resinous, deep, and a good mix of sweet and sour. It is well made and smells good, but not something I would ever want to wear.

It's funny, i was over the moon for it when I first got it when it was released. I wore it on a second date with a girl. Unfortunately, she said something like "whatever you're wearing tonight, you should wear the one you wore on our first date instead." Maybe that stuck with me, but every time I sniff this on my hand, I'm more in tune with what I don't like about it rather than what I do like about it. The resinous, medicinal quality just sort of fills my nostrils like I've walked into a room with incense burning. It smells A LOT better in the air than on skin, but at this point in my life, I have too many fragrances to stick with one that I have so many reservations about

Toji glazer

you will get attention wearing this positive attention.

Etxrnity

Very strong and nice smelling fragrance. Will definitely get you noticed when walking into a room.

TwistnShout

2 weeks ago I sprayed it on the tester card I didn't like the initial smell but took the chance today to spray it on my wrist and I liked it. The initial burst reminded me of Hugo Boss Bottled Elixir but after dry down it doesn't have the same aroma as Bottled Elixir. Using another tester card 6 hours later the the tester card still smells too sharp/metallic but on the wrist it's far nicer and pleasant - can see why it's popular.

ScentNSent

Grabbed a tester of this a few weeks back and WOW. Initially I bought the clone - Asad, and while it does smell similar I feel like Asad carries that middle eastern kinda smell all the way through from start to finish, which I’m not a big fan of. Sauvage elixir has that middle eastern smell to it as well, but it quickly dries down to such a fresh, clean, masculine, super high class barbershop scent, it makes me feel rich if that makes any sense lol. Also the performance is insane! I was almost scared to spray just 2 sprays on myself because of how strong I’ve heard it was, but when I did, I feel that that was the perfect amount.

This stuff isn’t as versatile as the rest of the sauvage line, for that reason I’d say don’t blind buy it, and not something you’ll wear everyday, but anytime I get a chance to wear this I definitely will: date nights, formal occasions, parties, or anytime I’m dressed up a bit ill be throwing this on.

Price wise it’s a bit expensive, but the fact you just need 2 sprays and it will last all day and project like a monster, I’m sure you’ll be getting your moneys worth.

Momoko13

I have never gotten more compliments on my fragrance than I do with this. People have stopped me in public to demand to know what I am wearing. This one is definitely my favorite of the sauvage line.

Definitely maintains that soapy fresh quality that the others have but this one builds on top to add a spiced accord. The sillage and lasting power is also insane.

360forlife

at first spray, I really dislike this. smells too mature and spicy for me. something my dad might have worn in the 80s.

but as it dries down i really like it! gets very delicious and it's a joy to wear

haynesar

Its a cold weather, evening scent that is very masculine. Spicy accords and beastmode
Pls dont spray too much, one is more than enough. I dont even go noseblind on this thats how nuclear this is. Ive gotten many compliments with this one.

Atownmunz

I sampled this one side by side with Asad. I would choose these over Asad only because it last longer. Asad forces me to respray. For me DSE is a 8.5/10

tukangciumparfum

Sauvage elixir is like the usual sauvage DNA that everyone knows but it has more sweet spicy smell to it and toned down citrus.
It loses a lot of its peppery sharp edges and gained lot more performance in this elixir form.
Personally I don't think you should spend more than 200 dollars for this DNA because in the air it smelled to similar to any other Sauvage.

Rebellion

This thing is a compliment getter! I got lot of compliments from my friends especially the girls and it actually works just fine to attract your crush. Well, literally I write this review after my crush gave me a smile and finally we talked!

I’m 24 and it doesn’t too old for me. The scent also is so manly. Perfect fragrance for dark/all black type of outfit and cold/night time

Lemskii900

This is how a man should smell ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

AidenFrags

I absolutely love this cologne, I love to take the cap off once in a while and smell it. This has an amazing atomizer, and people love it, but make sure not to overspray, 2 sprays is enough for me!

BigBearHK

Just got this beast mode stuff. Have been sniffing of tester a couple of times b4 buying it recently. Gotta say, it's a bit over hyped, & exaggerated. But the mass pleasing scent profile, beast mode aspect is real

The dry down scent is my fav but some says it's disgusting. Just try b4 you buy, trust your nose, not your ears/eyes

Edit: Am I the only one who consider 5-6 sprays are adequate?

Jackathus

people who say its too weak are off their heads.
immediately hit with the spices, drydown is mroe enjoyable
performance 9/10
projection 8-9/10
smell 8/10
overall 9/10.

ChickenTacos79

Hard to say anything about this that hasn't already been said. I agree with those who find a Drakkar Noir quality to this, which is probably why I love it. Yes, it's expensive, but you get your money's worth, with excellent projection and sillage, and longevity that is so good it borders on obnoxious. You can put this stuff on after a mid morning shower, head out on a date that evening, and you'll still be projecting. By the next morning, it will have become a skin scent, and good luck getting it out of your clothes. But it's ok, because this stuff smells great. Not a summer scent for me.

Gabi7dab

One of the best performance

ShaunMichael

The person below nailed it! GILLETTE SHAVING CREAM X100 This is for the guy who wears 1 million, or D&G light blue and wants to “upgrade” to something high end. Too common for me. But I’m sure it’s mass appealing

Hinhao123

You need have enough facial hair to wear this to really suit you. I dont. Or wear in really cold weathers.

BigBuck

Blue, sensuous, sophisticated, eternal. Best Dior fragrance ever IMO. Blind buy worthy.

Beatiful spicy fragrance. Only wear this one in winter and not more than 2-3 sprays. I always wear 2 and it lasts a full day and more on skin and stays on clothes for well over a week. solid projection that fills a room and leaves a intense scent trail. As for the smell, it is not sweet at all and very masculine, high quality spicy licorice cinnamon woody fragrance. only downside being it's expensive pricetag.

wldnml

Nice smell, but for me way too sharp and edgy, especially for every day use. Performance is great, easily all day.

Fjed

Now for me, everything but the opening is great. It just smells like pine trees in a bad way. But thats just for me...

Christos08

It ended the forever cycle of boring designer fragrances I don't think it is niche but it is good if you only collect designer fragrances then you won't get any better than this. I do wish Dior had the rights to the word elixir in relation to fragrance because the word is pretty annoying and every designer fragrance house has used it at some point PLEASE STOP

PULPUL75

What a great fragrance, Since the first version I’ve not bought from this house but after this hype I told my self let’s try it again, and Here I’m, I have own it, it’s really a beautiful the opening of spices and citrus with lavender note and then goes deeper to sandalwood, amber, licorice & warm cinnamon, all come to together brought a great and unique combination that Dior has always surprised their lovers🥰🥰🥰

@Moon_light
The smell boiled onions can be the best aroma in the world sometimes so, make of that what you will

lucas005

I just wanted to say that upon spraying this from a sample vial on my wrist, I can STILL detect it well over 24 hours later...

Agoycoy

This beast perfume would make anyone detect your scent , great perfomance, longlasting , strong perfume careful when u spray this 1 full spray on neck is enough , max 3 spray , people on the plane can smell you if you spray more than 3,

MrDanish

Level up the mystery with a somewhat lower mass appeal. It's really great, but it's a different kind of beast.

You have to go easy with this and still, a small sample bottle would probably suffice as this is a very intense version. An Elixir even. I find fewer occasions where I can wear this compared to EdP and I just opened the bottle of Elixir (60ml), but I'm thinking that I might need to let it sit to macerate, as I hope it will become more rounded (gourmand, appealing to me). Alternatively, I could sell it and go for a smaller bottle.

About Elixir, I actually got one 2nd hand which I believe must have been a really good knock off, so I gave it to my son and got a certified original bottle - and right now, I hate to admit that I like knockoff better than the one I got directly from Dior.

Beautiful fragrance!!! For a designer frag....10/10.
The cinnamon/nutmeg/licorice/sandalwood combo to MY NOSE....I just wanna swim in this shyt!
Who cares if this is worn by everyone, its reputation is stout & well deserved. Get yourself a bottle, and tell the naysayers to stfu!
💪🏿👍🏿👊🏿

Dior77

It is not for boys or teens
It is for real man only

vo2maxx

Strongest fragrance ever, I remember distinctly riding my bike and a guy on a motorbike comes past quickly and I instantly strongly smell that he's wearing this and the scent lasted for the next 30 seconds - insane. Overall not a fan of the way this smells though it's loud, in your face, and everyone knows your wearing a fragrance and probably thinks you sprayed way too much even if you just sprayed once. The scent is a sharp peppery spice.

Dr.Knightslayer

Amazing perfume , honestly so worth it even as a blind buy .
I suffered from issues with projection with some perfumes beng labelled as having good sillage/projection but being a skin scent for me after 1-2 hours , this perfume is not like that at all .
it forms a scent bubble thats so strong and lasts forever and gives off amazing sillage too .

downside is its too strong which might seem like a good thing but seriously , I got a headache after soraying 1.5 prays only which surprised me as I usually have no problem putting on 5-10 sprays . BEWARE dont spray on front of your neck or itll kill you Im being srs youll go noseblind in an hour and get headache .

Projection;9/10 ez 4-5 hours with litreally 1 spray
Sillage: 10/10 you cant play hide and seek with this one , if people link this smell to you , GG
smell : warm, spicy and very sweet , reminds me of a candle shop or coffeeshope with scented candles , veryyyyy masculine like fr if youre young or dont like attention as much avoid it for me its an 7.5/10

overall considering the price and all the above : 8.5/10

What a great fragrance! Luckly it trails a totally different path from the other Sauvages (I don't like any of them). Here, Mr. Demachy created a beautiful concoction around the lavender note, with depth due to the sandalwood and amber (notes that jumps out to my nose from the base). It opens beautifully with a hint of spices and citrus and some warmth brought by cinnamon, and it quickly develops to a gorgeous lavender note that stays long enough to make me fall in love to this fragrance, despite it's name haha. It is definitely not a fragrance for hot weather, so you gotta be carefull when applying. Really great one for having in a collection, I should say a must. Heavy hitter!

GabeOz

This scent was beautifully created for a male adult.
I can not imagine a youngster wearing this scent.
This is a serious fragrance. Top notch nutty smokey woody scent. Worth every penny. I’m glad I finally got my hands on it. Night out scent, formal meetings forget about wearing this during the day or under the sun or anything like that. There’s so much darkness in this scent that the perfect picture in my mind is seating at a massive dinner table with just a few people around wearing this fragrance.
Beautiful sillage, long lasting go for 100 ml coz you may love it just like me! If don’t just give it some time till you get into it.

Kwezz89

Absolutely love this fragrance, last forever and projects like crazy! I still smell it on a shirt that I wore 5 days ago. I would say it is definitely a modern masculine scent. You may get hints of some of the sauvage dna but it’s really its own thing and if you’re a little older maybe more mature it’s a really good thing. Smelling it on a test strip doesn’t do it justice you need to get it on you to appreciate it more. The opening is a lot for some people but it dries down so nice. It’s spicy warm and fresh. 2-3 sprays max and it’ll be on you untill you wash it off. Some people say it’s not an everyday fragrance, I would agree only because the price is a lot for 50ml but 1 spray would be enough for most outings. I like the smell and I’ll wear it often, except maybe hot summer days.

aaronfr

I could see how some people would enjoy this fragrance however on my skin it smells like burnt carrots seasoned with nutmeg. If you’re looking for a nice spicy fragrance id personally suggest any concentration of spicebomb infrared over this.

Without the hype around this fragrance.
I don’t know why or how but my nose simply can’t like it.
I’ve tried it a lot of times in shops, got it as a gift
But the same stinging smell comes
Personally I don’t like it and it smells like “spicy” soy sauce

Josu01

Strong, warm, spicy, unique; with lots of character, monster longevity, and a big, fresh sillage.

Mature, formal, great for evening wear on cooler nights. Really good!

aidan_fragrance

spicey, dark, mysterious and woody. opens up with a VERY harsh and earthy liquorice, but give it 10 mins to dry down, you start to get a nice spicey lavender. on some people this can smell really harsh so make sure this works with you. i’ve started smelling this more than the edp or edt so it’s definitely becoming more popular. it’s popular for a very good reason though.

performance it’s amazing, 2 sprays will be plenty for a full day. i spray this on my hand before bed, shower, wash my hands, and i can still smell it by the morning.

i have had multiple people tell me this smells like axe, hurts my soul every time but fk it we ball.

Lenny7621

This is by far the most spiciest and strongest Scent i ever smelled so far. I love to overspray on some scents but with this one you have a sillage that lasts for weeks haha

mo choudhury

if you haven't seen it yet, go on Dior's website and check out the personalised wooden cap versions you can get, with a chrome metal CD logo on top. 👌🏾
elixir cap is made from Congolese ebony.
and the edt,edp and parfum are made from Cameroonian wenge.
I think I have a reason to be add the Sauvage line to my collection now.
big fan of Dior, but not so much of Sauvage. apart from elixir.

I've posted some pictures on fragrantica.

Tahsinss

look, I adore strong scents, long lasting powerful scents are literally my type but this stuff.. it is way too much. There’s too much spice going on I don’t know what note that is (I think cardamom) that’s also in boss bottled elixir and I absolutely despise it. It’s too rough and not smooth at all for my taste. Then again I like more vanillic woody scents normally. My gf also smelt it and asked me if I let out a fart or if it was the cologne so yeah.. not really a lady pleaser to say the least.

Forand

timeless, classic, masterpiece

qy3

this thing surprised me from the second i sprayed it, it gave me the biggest punch on my face its just so strong and not in a bad way. id say spray it at least 30 minutes before you walk anywhere cause 5 sprays of this thing can kill someone literally.

Scent: 8/10
Sillage: 10/10
Longevity: 10/10
Value: 9/10
Overall: 9.7/10

definitely would purchase another bottle just incase.

Brender

This thing got me jumping like boom shaka-laka boom shaka-laka ahh. The liquorice note is way overpowering at first, but after a while it gets good. It's good because it doesn't smell like dior sauvage, it's very distinct. And when the drydown hits, and the liquorice bomb gives room for the other notes to stand out, people are gonna think "wow this guy wears dior sauvage ELIXIR?" because you are the anti-NPC, the flanker who gets the 25 streak tactical nuke, and that nuke smells like liquorice. There's some fresh citrus undertones, but it's not very notable when all the spices are so powerful.
It's wack how long this thing lasts. All day. And if you get some on your clothes it's staying there so long you are either forced to change shirt the next day if you don't want to layer, or you are forced to use the elixir again. Which isn't really a problem for normal people who don't own 87 fragrances, but this is fragrantica after all.

Ali477

This fragrance is simply amazing! with 10+ sprays, it can fill an entire school with its alluring scent. I personally love it and find it to be very distinct from the other sauvages, which TikTok fragrance enthusiasts often term as an NPC fragrance. The fragrance may have a harsh opening, but it quickly transforms into a sexy and captivating scent, especially with the spicy lavender note, which happens to be my favorite. When the lovely staff at Dior gave me a sample, the scent stays even after taking a shower. I would rate it 9/10, and though the price might seem steep, I would still buy it as it's worth every penny.

Fragrancebruv

This flanker was bought for me as a gift, first off I have to say having a cologne with good sillage and longevity is always a bonus, BUT there’s a such thing as too much. This cologne was so overpowering that I actually ended up returning it for an exchange. The notes were ok but It needs more of a proper balance. Too overpowering gave me a headache. For the price point it’s not worth it, better off buying a niche flanker for that price tag.

Honkymagoo

As a hater of the original Sauvage I hate to admit that I love this. Much better and more adult take on Sauvage. Better for me at age 34.

StunningSamuel

Imagine Sauvage as a brash and arrogant 20 year old man, now imagine him at 40 years old way wiser and more refined, that's Sauvage Elixir. Takes the citrusy and tangy scent Sauvage is known for and then adds the entirety of your mom's spice rack to it. Way darker, performs twice as long, and projects twice as wide. Not for the casual and faint of heart, only for the seasoned and mature nose. Absolutely worth a shot!

BalkanFragranceLover

Incredible scent. The best thing about it is of course, how far removed from the rest of the Sauvage line is - its not simply an evolution, but a revolution for that line.
Dark, spicy, masculine, yet still warm and sweet - all the OG Sauvage is not.
The only downside is the niche tier price - is it worth that much money? No. Do i regret getting it? Absolutely not.

Lonz fragrance

Received this as a gift and my first thoughts were just wow this is manly and strong. Wore this and instantly received compliments on my birthday and I don’t think I’ve smelled anything like it. I have seen that this cologne tends to lean on the expensive end but two sprays and you will smell great all day that is all you need.

SparklyBird

Honestly I don't understand what is so special with this fragrance. It smells like those bubble gums "Hubba Bubba" that were wrapped in circle back in the days with a touch of cinnamon. It's not bad and all, but overall nothing special and unique...

teach69

I got the EDP as a birthday gift and when I saw the Elixir onnthe shelves, I decided to give it a "test drive" 10hrs later, i am still smelling it . Laundered the shirt I wore and the scent of this fragrance was still there. This is definitely not for spraying on lavishly. I like the upgrade from the EDP.

tab369

I tried to like this one, i can’t. I think it’s the licorice I reallllllllyyyyy hate licorice and for me it punches the back of my throat. Do no over spray and be careful putting this on anything but skin because it will never come off. I mean even on skin you feel like it never comes off, so with clothes you’re gonna have to burn them if you don’t like the smell

mystcblue

Its warm.. So spicy.. Dry down so masculen.. Great for winter..
